- 0:05[SPEAKER_01]: Hello, I can't even tell you why I'm welcome to MMTV NFL podcast that's out of a career.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's allergies season, which is taken me down an octave.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_01]: I've used to be a soprano, I'm a bass now, whatever that is.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_01]: But we are back for installment two of the unofficial,
- 0:26[SPEAKER_01]: don't hold us to it.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_01]: We're only going to bring it up.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_01]: If the pick was right MMQB mock draft, let's just quickly go in here and recap the top 10 that we did on Tuesday.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_01]: The Raiders took Fernando Mendoza no surprise there.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_01]: Bailey at number two to the Jets are Val Reese at three to the Cardinals.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_01]: Jeremiah love number four to the Titans.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_01]: Maui Noah from Miami to the Giants at five.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_01]: Fano from Utah to the Browns at six sunny styles to the Washington Commanders at seven men sort of Lane to the Saints at eight number nine Caleb Downs to the Kansas City Chiefs and at ten We have McCoy to the Bengals Albert's been doing evens.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_01]: I've been doing odds.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_01]: I thought a lot about this
- 1:17[SPEAKER_01]: Surprisingly, a lot about this after we stop taping and man sort of laying to the saints may be my favorite.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you know, because you see the these players are mocked to this, he has not been mocked to the Saints a ton, but this is my favorite thing that we've stumbled upon by virtue of doing this exercise.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'll just put it that way.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_01]: You like to lie in there.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I guess just, you know, sometimes things just have like a cozy fit to them.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I think like, like honestly, it's just, he's one where it was interesting.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: I was talking to somebody.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if I mentioned this in the pod the other day, but I was talking to somebody talking through all the different prospects and everything we were talking about like the corners and with delaying, it was like,
- 2:09[SPEAKER_00]: Um, you know, when you watch him, it's like he looks like almost like effortless in the way he moves and so there was some question about how fast and sudden he is right and then he goes and runs a 438 and then the conclusion that this team had was, well, yeah, he's just that smooth.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean, just a really good mover.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: And so there's him and then I thought, like,
- 2:32[SPEAKER_00]: That's your mod McCoy one to the bangles was I mean to me like when I was like presented with like, okay, like do I take pain there, like I mean take I think you wouldn't take on for obvious reasons if you're Cincinnati, but you know, you look at some of the guys that we have left here that you know, going into the second 10.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: You know, those those would be the two guys in vain, like I just looked at the Bengals with McCoy and I'm like I sort of think this is how some of the teams are going to look at the draft Connor, which is like because you don't have like the super elite at the top, you're looking at it like okay.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: If I'm going to take a corner in an edge, you know, in the top two rounds, what am I more likely to get in the second round?
- 3:19[SPEAKER_00]: A really good edge or a really good corner.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_00]: And I think like part of my thinking there was I have a better chance of getting a really good edge in the second round than I do a really good corner.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: So like let me take care of the corner now and then I'll get the edge later.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_01]: The, so I guess if we were to go to like the Dennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennennen
- 4:04[SPEAKER_01]: right now based on our top 10 and based on kind of what at least what we think we know I mean yep there's Ruben Bane the edge for Miami there's Jordan Tyson uh and I think it really the run on wide receivers right I mean I think that that's what we're staring in the face right now is a potential just ripper of like seven or eight wide receiver you know
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: That one I think plays into all of this too, like that receiver thing plays into all of this too because there's depth that receiver.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: So are there teams in the top 15 or so picks that look at it and say, I've got a better chance of getting a good receiver there in the second round.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_00]: So why don't I just wait and I could get a really good player there and address something else in the first round?
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's going to be a lot of that going on in this year's draft, you know, where you're just
- 4:58[SPEAKER_00]: What's the best player in the first round?
- 5:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's like now I'm like I want to fill these three spots.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: So like what's the best like those.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: Three picks and what do I have the best chance to get in the second and third round?
- 5:11[SPEAKER_00]: Like my color what I what I wind up doing in the first round.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_01]: Can I tell you my favorite male type or story ever?
- 5:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: So, I don't know this one.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_00]: I remember something with you and me, like, the book go ahead.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_01]: We had, I was interviewing Mel for a story on Paul Zimmerman, on Dr. Z. Yeah.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: And I did a story for the magazine on, on the Dr. Z.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_01]: Mark draft where he got.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_01]: it was the greatest mock draft ever.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was 12 of the first 13 picks and a trade correct, which is like in the same team had like the second and I think the commanders had like what are now the commanders had like the second and the third pick so they could have done them in either order any of the order right and everything.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_01]: It was ridiculous right.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_01]: And so I was talking to Mel about just like how hard that is to do.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_01]: And the whole time, he's like, you know, Brian, that's a great question, and just saying Brian, Brian, Brian, Brian, Brian, Brian, Brian, the whole way through.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_00]: And for people who don't know if you're reporting that situation, you generally would just let that ride.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, 100% and I'm thinking to myself, and this is true, right?
- 6:21[SPEAKER_01]: This is draft season.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, Mel, Michael's got a million people.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_01]: He wakes up in the morning and it's like, hey, Mel, here's 51 hits that you have to do on 91 different radio stations.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, I was just happy to talk to him.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_01]: I think I was at my parents house.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_01]: I put it on speaker phone.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_01]: My dad got a kick out of like here in Mel Kieper on the phone.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_01]: So we're talking, we're talking, he's great.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_01]: He's phenomenal as always for the story.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_01]: We hang up, I say thank you very much.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_01]: Really appreciate your time.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_01]: We hang up.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_01]: I go about my day.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_01]: Now 10 minutes later, I get a phone call.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_01]: It calls me back and he goes, oh my God, your name isn't Brian.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, yeah, yeah, I was like, it's Connor.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_01]: And he's like, he's like, Connor, I'm so sorry.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_01]: That'll never happen again.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, dude, you are the legend.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_01]: You do not have to complain about me calling me or you don't have to call me.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_01]: But it's just tell you a little bit.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: But it speaks to the character.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely, it speaks to his character.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_01]: For sure.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_01]: It is an unbelievable character guy.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_01]: You know, no flags on no red flags on Melchiper.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_01]: No red flags a guaranteed lock in the first round.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_01]: All right, so I'm going to continue effing this up, Albert.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, because now we know I could tell to the giants at five was not what you were thinking.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it's through a little that us just a tad for a loop here.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_01]: Here's my thought process on Miami because I'm going online here as well, and we're staring like we just mentioned at this Rubin Bane, right, who we're looking at right now is available, but we're also staring at this free fall of or windfall of wide receivers, and the dolphins just traded Tyree Kill and they just brought in Malik Willis, but here's my thought process here,
- 8:14[SPEAKER_01]: Clearly, every other move that you've made.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_01]: to this point is signifying the fact that maybe 2026 isn't gonna be your year.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_01]: And you have to get everything set.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that the wide receiver position is a little bit of a toss up.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_01]: Again, maybe you get one in the second round.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_01]: We have John Eric Sullivan coming from Green Bay who just for the first time since what the Great Depression drafted a wide receiver in the first round and it didn't really work out, right?
- 8:43[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you know, golden the returns on this or we don't know, right?
- 8:48[SPEAKER_01]: And my god am I going to mess this up?
- 8:50[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, um, but I am taking a live of Venga, a one a out of Penn State.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_01]: All live of Venga, a one a I want to Penn State.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, right, I think I a one a and actually goes by Venga, though.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think a big a
- 9:06[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, on a yeah, this isn't me being like like the the Travis agent thing has me f-ed up and I'm sometimes you know when you're just like a goofy ass looking like I and you're trying to pronounce these names like this comes from a genuine place of like I'm I'm hurt now that like this has happened so many times and I'm actually trying to do this the right way so that that is just
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: There are people who think he's the best blind man in the draft.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: But he's a guard, right?
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: Correct.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: Um, how do you feel about taking a guard that high?
- 9:45[SPEAKER_01]: So, here's the thing.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_01]: I think if you're the Miami Dolphins right now, I mean, there really isn't.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_00]: This is, you want to know the combat by fur on him?
- 9:59[SPEAKER_01]: What's the company for?
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's Tyler Booker.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_00]: Tyler Booker.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: Who was trying to might as a rookie in Dallas?
- 10:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, and a good character guy, right?
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: But we like just a killer of a guard, right?
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: I think normally you can character smart all that.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_01]: And I think normally you consider character in this situation Albert.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_01]: Would you push back very much on the notion that the dolphins probably have one of the three worst rosters in the NFL right now?
- 10:29[SPEAKER_00]: No, and I felt that way like going into last year like I said this and a lot of people like What are you talking about like I said like I'm like
- 10:36[SPEAKER_00]: like I looked at it said I don't know that there are three guys in this roster that you can say are going to be there in three years and one of those guys was jail in water.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 10:45[SPEAKER_00]: Like one of the guys that I thought, you know, like where you could say that was water and he's traded.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_00]: So this is a complete rebuild.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_00]: They've had the fewest draft picks in the league of any team over the last four years.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think if you put the 22 and 23 draft classes together, there's only one player, there's two players left.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_00]: it's it's devenation and then and then a special teams slash backup the special team or slash backup linebacker.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: So you just need to get good players in the roster.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_00]: I think like the idea of building from the inside out makes sense.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't I don't I don't
- 11:26[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have a problem with this one at all.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_01]: Right because, you know, when I think it's positioned like if you're the rams, you're looking at positional value, if you're the bears, if you're the bills, if you're a team that is like right there on the cost, if you're, if you, if you look like the dollar general after the, after the fourth of July sale, where everything gets cleared out, like you just need inventory.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_01]: that I can think about right now.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_01]: So I think you take that one and you put it in the bank, Albert.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_00]: So I have my reservations about doing what I'm going to do here.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I really go.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: So the cowboys are up at 12.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_00]: And I really, like, look at this one and this one is a little high.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: Simpsons and ties.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_01]: Simpsons and ties.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_01]: Simpsons and ties.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to take time since I'm going to take Ruben Bane.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_00]: All right, now my reservation here is like he is not for everybody.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not sure if he fits the Vic Fangeo style of defense.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_01]: Is he for a first time defensive coordinator in Christian Parker, too, right?
- 12:51[SPEAKER_00]: So, I mean, we're at the point now.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_00]: He's one of these shorter-armed guys.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we're talking about him now, like he's a T-rex, you know, and I mean, like, just kind of like, you know,
- 13:04[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but he's such a good player and I clearly there's like a need there, you know, and you've got Donovan as a rock who now and so as a rock you hope takes a step in year two and you got Quinn and Williams.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_00]: And now you're talking about kind of making that defensive front hole again after, you know, the massive trade to move on from Mike a Parsons and so I look at the totality of it.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_00]: I think having, you know, bringing in a guy who can be a difference maker of front for you, make sense.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_00]: It feels like a cowboy's pick to me.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_00]: He is a mother bleeper to play against.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_00]: I know that plays really hard.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_00]: And I think from that standpoint, he's going to be really good for the,
- 13:56[SPEAKER_00]: the culture that they're trying to build now again you know like if you look at the edge players that the big fangeos had over the years he generally likes the bigger more rugged guys and being as half of that equation he's not bigger but he is very rugged you know and so you just have to be comfortable I think like anybody can
- 14:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like, with him as a past, Russia, like, I think Christian Parker's going to have the wherewithal to find ways to match him up and use him properly.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_00]: The question I think is going to be, like, how is he in setting edges in the running game and that sort of thing?
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: And the people that I've talked to think he can do it just because he is so freaking strong, you know?
- 14:42[SPEAKER_00]: And he's got like an ability to kind of
- 14:46[SPEAKER_00]: You know, get into the chest of tackles, even though he lacks the length, so like this is a little bit of a leap of faith, but I mean, I just like look at it, like you're not going to take car and I'll take there right if you're the cowboys because you're so invested or receiver now with lamb and
- 15:05[SPEAKER_00]: with with CDLAM and in George Pickins.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, after that, like, you know, who are we talking about, like, Kenyan Sadik maybe, like, I just think he is, he sort of like stands out as the best player.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_00]: So I think if you're the Cowboys you go ahead go ahead and take them at 12.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_01]: I like that in one of the reasons that I like it Albert is because what,
- 15:33[SPEAKER_01]: And this will be kind of read as like a slight at, you know, the Cowboys Personnel Department, which I think is one of the best in the NFL, but Jerry Jones personally, because he cannot be removed from his position, has been more willing to take chances on guys who have
- 15:49[SPEAKER_01]: You know, this is more of an injury thing, but Ruben Bain is like an outlier trait thing.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_01]: But I think is more willing to take chances on guys who have high ceilings but have outlier issues, red flags, not necessarily in the character front, but like, okay, hey, you know, what was the challenge to Smith?
- 16:06[SPEAKER_00]: They were like the world character stuff with Bain, which I think, you know, I think they've gotten past some of that, but like, yeah, like from a football character standpoint, he's everything you want.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_01]: I dig it.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I've been really getting into lately?
- 16:21[SPEAKER_01]: I've been loving watching classic versions of the office on Netflix.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_01]: The only issue is it's not technically available on Netflix in the US.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_01]: However, I found a sneaky workaround.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_01]: Today's sponsor Surfshark VPN.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_01]: A VPN is a virtual private network, which allows me to mask my real IP address.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_01]: And even replace it with another IP address anywhere else in the world.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_01]: essentially meaning that I can pretend to be in Canada, which is a few clicks of my mouse, and just like that, I'm able to stream the office to my hearts content.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_01]: Go to surfshark.com slash mmkb or use the code mmkb to check out and get four extra months of surfshark VPN.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_01]: Surfshark has a risk-free 30-day money back guarantee
- 17:04[SPEAKER_01]: Secure your privacy by going to surfshark.com slash mmqb for four extra months.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_01]: All of these links will be available in the show notes of this episode.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_01]: So check it out surfshark.com slash mmqb or use code mmqb.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so we're moving on and I think every receiver on the board for the Rams.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_01]: Again, this is possibly going to be annoying to you, and we'll see this is like my guess is like after the draft Albert just like just after after he's done taping this Albert just throws his notebook on the floor and it's like I can't believe I got to do this with this goddamn guy.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_01]: Now we're talking, first receiver, okay, here's why.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_01]: What other receiver?
- 18:12[SPEAKER_01]: The Rams were interested in trading for AJ Brown.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_01]: Correct?
- 18:17[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, what receiver profiles the closest to AJ Brown in this draft?
- 18:24[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_01]: Physical,
- 18:26[SPEAKER_01]: Big Sean McVay has been trying to reimagine this receiver room consistently.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_01]: You've puking a QA in rehab, we don't know what's going on there, the rams like guys that are going to benefit the run game as much as the past, I don't see as many dogs at the top of this receiver room,
- 18:53[SPEAKER_00]: That's it.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, Mark Cooper may it would be interesting here too.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I, I like the fit that you can track this by the way.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have to be nice.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_00]: That's a big reach.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_01]: Good.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_00]: Good.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_00]: Good.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_00]: I like it.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_00]: Let's add that.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have to say.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, look, like, I think if you really like, oh, I think you explore trading down, which it might be a tough drive to trade down in.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what I mean, so that's what I was also going to mention.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_01]: I don't expect the ramps to make this pick, right?
- 19:23[SPEAKER_01]: Can I add that caveat?
- 19:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I just think like, like, Cooper and lemon are both good fits for, like, just as far as being, like, rugged players and all of that.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_00]: But I, I like Boston as a player.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_00]: So, and there is the connection there, Jed Fish, the head coach at Washington was at the ramp with McVay.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_00]: So there is some scheme carry over.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_00]: I do know like last year having Devontay Adams, you know,
- 19:54[SPEAKER_00]: sort of open some things up that they hadn't had opened up.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_00]: They hadn't really had like that big, out's the prototypical outside like X receiver before, before getting Devontae Adams in and Boston could kind of profile to be the replacement for Devontae Adams there whenever Adams winds up moving on.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm not going to crush you for it about that.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_01]: I just think, okay, like everyone's got like McCye Lemon and listen, I think the one
- 20:24[SPEAKER_01]: Interesting part about lemon is that you now clif things bury on your staff and cliffs going to be able to get some information on them, but maybe that information is an information that they like right and I don't know if they necessarily go wide receiver here, but I think McVay's aggression at the position this off season leads us to believe.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_01]: You know, sometimes teams just tell themselves, right?
- 20:46[SPEAKER_01]: They make their known where they're going without necessarily, you know, it's like a soft telegraph.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_01]: But, yes, this is gonna be one of those where all 41 analysts on the desk go, whoa, and then they're like, who do they go to?
- 21:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like Daniel Jeremiah, tell us about Denzel Boston.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I, everyone has everything at the bottom.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_00]: You have put me in a position here where I feel like I don't have much of a choice other than to look at the value and take carnal tape for the Ravens and working nice I just think at this point like look like I there's an interesting angle there and that you know Jesse mentor actually coach against
- 21:38[SPEAKER_00]: Carnell Tate because when he was at Michigan still, I think Tate was a freshman at Ohio State So there's a little background there Like I also think a lot of like this offseason for the Ravens has been about making things right around the mar And you have a little mar walking through the door earlier this week So I think that there are some like good vibes there You know as to where everything is I
- 22:04[SPEAKER_00]: I thought a little bit about Monroe Freeling here, I think, you know, the idea of getting like your left tackle of the future in the building wouldn't be the worst thing in the world and he might be a guy who is like a year away or two years away or whatever you want to do.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_00]: But I just think the idea of adding tape and I think tape like actually like stylistically really kind of matches up with a flower you know being like I think that their cut because they would be they would be good compliments to one another so this is a good character pick like he's a he's a tough receiver he's a smart receiver you know I and I'm the other one attempted me here a little bit I will say
- 22:49[SPEAKER_00]: This is another one where I was tempted to go Kenyan Sadik.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_00]: And Declan Doyle was just in Chicago, and like they took the move tight-end and Ben Johnson's first year there and going and getting close to Lovelin, and we saw how they were able to maximize Lovelin in that offense.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_00]: And Declan Doyle's background is with Sean Payton.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_00]: and Sean Peyton loves the Joker, right?
- 23:13[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that's what Kenyan Siddiqu is.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_00]: So I keep my eye on Siddiqu for the Ravens of 14, but I'm going car and I'll take.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_01]: So would it be kind of nuts if that's what I end up doing at 15 for the Tampa Bay Buckingear's?
- 23:30[SPEAKER_01]: You know, crazy, you know, I mean, but that's logical.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_01]: And what we've seen out of Jason Light is
- 23:39[SPEAKER_01]: you know, with the
- 23:41[SPEAKER_01]: uh... with the pick last year in the first round is that you're you're not necessarily and you know at the time it's like oh we have all these other wide receivers we've all these talented past catchers you know why are we doing this and you could see why they're doing it right i mean this is a borderline offensive rookie of the year candidate uh... really broke things wide open for them at the beginning of the season and so sedic you know while there's not necessarily a
- 24:10[SPEAKER_01]: need at the, at the position, you, you have to change things offensively, right?
- 24:16[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you have K-Dotten, but he gives you a completely different perspective on the field.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_01]: He forces defenses to do something completely different.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_01]: You can run more 12 personnel than you did in the past.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_01]: And so, I don't know, what, what, what do you thoughts there?
- 24:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I like to think there.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I just think like he's going to be a really good player for someone.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I do think with Zach Robinson coming in as their OC.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_00]: We saw Zach Robinson as backgrounds at the Rams, of course.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_00]: And we know how the Rams, if you creatively use tight ends.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, then, you know, you look at what he was able to do for Kyle Pitz last year in Atlanta and really, like, find a way to get the most out of Kyle Pitz who is another one of these, like, F tight ends, not a wide tight end, you know, like where you're going to have to move around and do different things.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't mind the pick there and that puts me on the clock with the jets.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_00]: And so, as this game's out now, this is the first team that we've encountered with their second pick, right?
- 25:24[SPEAKER_00]: So we already have to be able to do daily on board if you're interested.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_01]: One more thing, because I have to make a cool staff point.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, because I spent a minute looking it up, not to interrupt.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_01]: The Buccaneers multi-tighten rates last year were one of the lowest in the NFL.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_00]: They were absolutely huge obviously.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_01]: Almost exclusive, but you know, you've changed offensive coordinators again, right?
- 25:49[SPEAKER_01]: So something's got to change.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe Sadik is the game changer there.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_00]: So this is like a little bit like God, if you're in the chat, you just sort of have to go best player, right?
- 26:02[SPEAKER_00]: But I mean, to me the best players might be the receivers.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you know, a lemon or a tyson and do you do that if you're the jets in almost setting up for your 27 quarterback right like I would have I would have liked to do here that would have made some sense.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_00]: You have an address are already on board.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_00]: Do I go do double down and go with like a measure door?
- 26:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to go receiver.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_00]: I'll go a McCy lemon from you.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_00]: Nice.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_00]: I like that.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think McCy lemon is just a good football player.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_00]: This is like like you did with with with the Penn State guard at at 11.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_00]: this to me is like kind of like a middle of the fairway pick.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 26:58[SPEAKER_00]: Like is he going to be a number one receiver?
- 27:01[SPEAKER_00]: Probably not.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_00]: You don't need one because you have Garrett Wilson.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_00]: You've been looking to put something around Garrett Wilson.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's been I think frustrating for everybody that they've been they've really failed in a lot of different ways to to get the right people around their number one receiver.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_00]: And I think McCye Lemons sort of settles that
- 27:17[SPEAKER_00]: for good, you know.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_00]: So, um, and I think lemon is probably a good fit.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_00]: Again, stylistically, if you're looking at how the receivers kind of match up with one another, I think Garrett Garrett Wilson and, and McCuy Lem and have different strengths, um, which, you know, I think is sort of what you're looking for.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_00]: You build like your, your receiver room, like a basketball team, like I think getting lemon to put them alongside Wilson and accomplishes that.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_01]: back page of the New York Post on draft night, lemon.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to Apple.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to the Apple.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_01]: I can't even love that.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_01]: You know, that's the screen.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I know what I would do here, but I'm interested to see what you're going to do.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_01]: You say it like you're saying it like, um, um, I'm trying to think of like the perfect analogy here where
- 28:11[SPEAKER_01]: Like I'm like you're saying you're interested in seeing what I'm going to be disappointed in you if you don't do what I would do Is that what you know you're saying it like I'm interested in seeing what you would do like like you're interested in seeing how I would do Like in an Olympic a hundred against Olympians like you know it's not going to go well And you know it's not going to look the way that you hope it's going to look but like I you know but you you're here for the comedy and I appreciate that I know you've been very
- 28:38[SPEAKER_01]: You've been very patient with me here, but I'm going to try to go fairway on this.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_01]: Um, the, I think the guard from Penn State was probably the Dan Campbell pic here.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_01]: Um, yeah.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_01]: But there's a couple of guys.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_01]: You, you, you need to rebuild the second area.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_01]: You need to rebuild the offensive line.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_01]: Is someone like Monroe Freeling from Georgia?
- 29:01[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, 6, 7, 3, 15, 35 inch arms like a sub 540 is, is that what you're thinking about doing here?
- 29:10[SPEAKER_01]: Because I know what I got.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_01]: So we're finally locked up here.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_00]: That was different.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_00]: I just think it makes the most sense.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_00]: Like when I've talked to people about him, it's like he's like maybe he might be a year away.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_00]: But if you're Dan Campbell, like really the identity of your team has run through that offensive line for quite some time, right?
- 29:31[SPEAKER_00]: And I think you know, the idea and Dan Campbell said it last week, the plan is to move
- 29:40[SPEAKER_00]: If you're talking about being able to protect the kid a little bit as he grows and having a tackle tandem for the foreseeable future, this is right around where they took Taylor Decker in 2016 and so I feel it's to me like a sweet spot to go and get somebody that you can develop again, like I think the question of freedom, I think he only has like 15 starts, you know, and so, you know, you're really betting on the upside here, but.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's a lot to work with and like to me, it's, you know what, you know what it does is like maybe he becomes a really great right tackle.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_00]: You already went through taking a college left tackle and moving him to right tackle with SOOL, right?
- 30:21[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see, you did that when you dropped in SOOL five years ago.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and it gives you like the flexibility to where if you decide after a year, you know what tools are better on the right side.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you maybe go with Monroe freeling at left tackle in 2027.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_00]: I think it opens up because who he is athletically and because the upside, it opens up like a lot of possibilities for you to kind of do whatever you want, you know?
- 30:48[SPEAKER_00]: And so I, um, I like that pick quite a bit.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_01]: this is interesting right here and because I want to I want to have a quick
- 30:57[SPEAKER_01]: I want to have a quick sidebar on the Vikings as we get to them and pick number 18.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_01]: I had a really interesting conversation with David Helman, who does Robert Maze, he does the football show.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_01]: Former Cowboys guy, he was great.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_01]: He was with me on another show that I do call, he had the call yesterday and a refuson who was covered the Vikings for a long time.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_01]: hubris when it comes to the Minnesota Vikings.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that, you know, if you are, you know, it's just like, oh, just give Kevin O'Connell any quarterback and he's going to figure it out.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we found the limitations of that.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_01]: I think that this draft is about preventing that on the defensive side of the ball, right?
- 31:46[SPEAKER_01]: Because as good as Brian Flores is, I mean, we saw a lot of a tradition for the Vikings defense now.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's been a steady stream of guys on the way out.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_01]: We don't
- 31:56[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm not setting the stage for you to pick a defensive player, but I feel like if we keep taking pieces from Bryan Flores It's hard for Bryan Flores to be Bryan Flores, right?
- 32:07[SPEAKER_01]: It was hard for Kevin O'Connor to be Kevin O'Connor, I'm not sure.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_00]: So, I mean, like some of this, like to me, I'm with you, you know what I mean?
- 32:17[SPEAKER_00]: And so, like, I see, like, I see, like,
- 32:25[SPEAKER_00]: the potential that you could take a team as a door here because of like the uncertainty look or an art and do you want to offload granart eventually?
- 32:35[SPEAKER_00]: I just think Dylan Theneman is too good a fit for it.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, that was my guy.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I just think like when you look at a guy like now the he's a great athlete, the questions with him are like is he just a straight line guy, maybe you don't want to have him and then cover just much.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_00]: What I've heard on him is just a battleship commander back there, as I say, and I can get everybody lined up.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're talking about replacing Harrison Smith, who is, I mean, like we talked about this with with Caleb Downs, right?
- 33:13[SPEAKER_00]: Like in the potential that maybe he could be a giant.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_00]: And how important the safety, you know, having that, like, you know, that that real, like traffic control or it's safety is for the Raven style of defense.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I look at it as, like, it's similar with, with Brian Flores as defense.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_00]: He wants like to have a guy back there who can command it and he's had that in Harrison Smith.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and in Patrick Chung, and so I think Dylan Thineman is a guy who projects to be that, you know, and so Thineman makes a ton of sense for me there.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_00]: You know, again, it's a safety in the first round, so like there's there's questions about that, but I feel really good about like based on what's there about Thineman being the pick.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, I think the Panthers are interesting here because they can go anywhere.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_01]: We saw what they did, and you know, offensive line is certainly in the cards.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that's out of the room, a possibility there.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_01]: But I have the Key Mesidor.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_01]: You know, and despite the fact that he's older Albert, I think that this that might be a good thing for this defense because they need guys who can come in and play right away.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_01]: You just spent all that money on jail and Phillips, you team him up with another Miami hurricane and like, ever own needs.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_01]: Like he needs some ingredients here, you know, like that I think we've gotten the offense to the point where it's.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_01]: at least sustainable to some degree that defense is is what needs the most help and they've been layering talent this off season.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_01]: I think this is like that your final centerpiece to be like okay.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_01]: We're now a little bit more of a cohesive front.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_00]: So, and then like he had the two kids you drafted last year, Nick scored and looks like he's going to be a good player.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_00]: Great.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_00]: So now like that edge position becomes a strength for you.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_00]: I could see that.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_01]: And you can mix up the front to them.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_01]: Because again, I know that that's a lot of edge for the Panthers over the last couple years.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_01]: Because it was what the second round and the third round last year.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_01]: Plus Phillips.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_01]: But.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_01]: This is what we're moving to anyway, right?
- 35:32[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we need like maybe three or four guys that can stand up.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_01]: We need guys who can play multiple positions.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_01]: Scorton is a really great run to fit.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you know, I like your, like how versatile they can be here.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_00]: But when I thought about here a little bit was, um,
- 35:49[SPEAKER_00]: was Kaden Proctor.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, now I'll be Emma.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_00]: And this would be early for him, I think.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I don't think he's going to go this high.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_01]: But I heard about 58 pounds.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_01]: Holy God.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_00]: So some people project him as a guard.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_00]: And the reason I would think about him here is so you've got a key quantity coming back from like what's a really bad injury, right?
- 36:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's got the
- 36:11[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that is a really freaking difficult one for a big man to come back from.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_00]: Ozzie Trepello is dealing with the same thing in Chicago.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_00]: So, like, and then he's going to be up, right?
- 36:22[SPEAKER_00]: So, I think Quanna is going to be up.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_00]: And then you have Rashid Walker who comes over from Green Bay on a one-year deal.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_00]: And so, do you look at it like, if we draft Caden Proctor, you can come and play guard for us?
- 36:35[SPEAKER_00]: And then we'll see whether or not he's kind of in that bucket with the Quanna
- 36:41[SPEAKER_00]: with where she'd walk her as guys who maybe they'll be the long-term left tackle or maybe he winds up being Taylor Moton who's getting older maybe he winds up being Taylor Moton's replacement at right tackle or maybe he winds up just being a guard.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's an interesting it's an interesting it would be an interesting guy to throw into the mix because I mean athleticly I mean you saw it last I mean they were throwing screen passes to this guy which is terrifying to think about having
- 37:10[SPEAKER_00]: But, but this is so gross.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_00]: Caleb and DeBorla did a million through screen passes.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_00]: So like I think like there's at least some argument for doing that.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_00]: So that brings us to number 20 and the Cowboys.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_00]: And I...
- 37:33[SPEAKER_01]: Let's take a brief reset here, Albert, because you know, so I can hear some people screaming through, like, we have a manual McNeil Warren, who's on the board, Omar Cooper is on the board, who else is on the board that Jordan Tyson is on the board.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_00]: So everything doesn't really work for you.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_00]: If you're Dallas, unless it's like you're looking at it like we're picking up the flag and he's going to go on.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_00]: Then it would make some sense to do that.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think, you know, from a need standpoint, like if you took care of edge with your first pick, would you be looking more at corner here?
- 38:16[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and like, but then are you reaching on like a terrell or a hood, you're one of those guys, you know, because obviously at this point, we've got Dwayne and McCoy long gone, um, I just like the step the big safety, you know what I mean from Toledo.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_00]: Um, does that make sense for Christian Parker in in his defense?
- 38:46[SPEAKER_00]: This is tough, and you figure offensive lines taking care of for the most part.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to take.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to take a VNRL, I think, from Quantum.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_00]: Nice.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_00]: All right, we don't know that's AJ Terrell's little brother.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I, I, I, I'm just looking at it and
- 39:15[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you could look at a Colton hood there too.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_00]: I, I think the question with Torell is like size, right?
- 39:26[SPEAKER_00]: And is he just a nickel?
- 39:28[SPEAKER_00]: But we've seen how important the nickel position is in that defense.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the role of Cooper Eugene plays.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_00]: So I'll go with Avia on Torell there.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_01]: I like this.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, listen, but I think what what what what this exercise is doing for me now Connor is like sort of crystallizing the unpredictability of it because I could have looked like a million different guys here.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean, I'm like, oh my gosh, I'm glad I could provide that for you.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_00]: No, but it feels like, but but does feel like once you get past like 14 or 15, it's like, wait, like I'm kind of.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what do I do now, you know what I mean?
- 40:09[SPEAKER_00]: So I do think that there's that element of it that's going to be really unpredictable on the first night of the draft.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think we generally have that, like you get into the 20s then all of a sudden you get some like, whoa, PX, you know?
- 40:21[SPEAKER_00]: Generally in the top 20 we have a really solid idea of who's going to go and what range.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_00]: And I think, you know, because of the dynamic we talked about it off the top, which is you don't have the prototypes of premium positions, there's a ton of volatility.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_00]: and a lot earlier than you would normally have it.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_01]: I think to doing it with another person brings into, it breaks up the little world view that you put together, which I think is important.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's like one of those things like when I do the predict every game on the schedule, you know, it's easy to sit there and say, okay, well, I think their jets are going to go 7 and 9.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_01]: you know with the cults record is matters with the cowboy's record is met like with all these other teams records they influenced that and i think by breaking it apart and splitting it between two people what you end up getting is one of those things where it's like why would it done that and now that but that's how the NFL draft works right it's like a bunch of teams be like well i wouldn't have done that but now i got to adjust you know and uh...
- 41:22[SPEAKER_01]: as Rich Eisen said in the seminal classic draft day that's why we love the NFL draft constant surprise you know yeah so I kind of did a I did a little bit of a fine T-Mac thing with the book with the boss I show my kids draft day my kids are kind of getting into the draft now
- 41:40[SPEAKER_01]: I just, you know, it depends out where can they handle, you know, some mature adult themes here.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_01]: We got Kevin Costner and Jennifer Gardner's like 35 years his junior.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but if any old man could pull it off, he's definitely Kevin Costner, right?
- 41:57[SPEAKER_01]: Which leads me to, like, here's the thing though, right?
- 42:00[SPEAKER_01]: Is, um, if Kevin Costner is,
- 42:06[SPEAKER_01]: If Kevin Costner is a hard throb in draft day, in that setting.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_01]: How is Mike Malarky not looked at as one of the best-looking NFL coaches of all time?
- 42:28[SPEAKER_01]: Mike Malarky looks exactly like Kevin Costner.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_01]: Stronger Mike Malarky.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_01]: What's that?
- 42:32[SPEAKER_01]: Stronger jaw.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_01]: Pull up a picture of Mike Malarky.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_01]: He looks exactly like Kevin Costner.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_00]: I had never heard that before, and I mean, I'm gonna pull it up.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_00]: Now I mean, I know where you're going to find.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_01]: I thought I think some of the Google image photos are actually Kevin Cossner when you pull it up.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there's one of him here and like one of those Navy hats.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, yes, that looks like I thought that was Kevin Cossner.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, the Navy hat is the one.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, just saying.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_01]: We didn't need to go get Kevin Costner for draft day.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_01]: We had a guy who could have spoke the lingo.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_01]: Although Dennis Leary was the coach in draft day.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_01]: And I would say that he was the weak point.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_01]: I could buy Kevin Costner's GM, Jennifer Gardner, even though they totally,
- 43:19[SPEAKER_01]: It was super sexist, they were making your go get coffee and they were like, you know, they had her pregnant in the thing for some reason, like, and she couldn't just be a cat manager.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_01]: But Dennis Lary was a least convincing person in that entire movie.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_01]: He was the coach, right?
- 43:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he was just screaming about how he needed a running back at number seven and like, you know, it's like, yes, I mean, you know, it would be a very brown thing, I guess, though, to bring in.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I think maybe he was based on a John Grood and type character, I don't know.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_01]: You should show your kids draft day.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_01]: I just wouldn't expect them to like it very much.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_01]: I've seen it more than anybody on planet Earth.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I agree.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_01]: Oh God.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_01]: I saw it when it came out.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_01]: And I've seen it in two different languages.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_01]: I saw it in Spanish once.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_01]: I was like hung over on the couch.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_01]: And it was on like HBOS, Ben Yola.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_01]: And I didn't have the remote.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_01]: So I just watched it in Spanish.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_01]: We did bad football movies.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_01]: One of our old installments, it sports illustrated, where we had a couple pops.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_01]: And we watched draft day.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I've probably seen it 12 times, 13 times, which is way too many times.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_01]: Say what they think.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think I just think they can make such a better draft movie, right?
- 44:35[SPEAKER_00]: My younger son actually has an idea what's going to happen in the draft which is scary because he's nine and like it probably means I'm going to have to steer him away from doing what we do for a living.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_00]: What's his take that what's what does he think is going to happen?
- 44:51[SPEAKER_00]: Um, well, no, he just has an idea of like, what he knows, like, he knows he's going to go high.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_00]: So he knows like, Mendoza and Reese and Bailey.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_00]: And so which is, I mean, he really got to know the Ohio State team pretty well.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_00]: That makes it organized in the top 12.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_00]: Makes extra so right.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like, so he's, he's, he's really good with all this stuff, though, like he.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_00]: Like, he was, like, Champions League was on my house last night because, you know, he's a big fan of, I mean, he was really, the reason we went, we looked at, like, going to all these soccer games the last few years going to the games at Chelsea in Arsenal and then this year going to the game of PSG, which is unbelievable by the way, that experience with something else.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, yeah, it was, uh,
- 45:37[SPEAKER_00]: He, uh, he, he has his belief together when it comes to knowing all this stuff about all the difference for us.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_00]: He also am like a dolphins fan because one of the YouTube guys that he watches who's going to complete lunatic like who I guess is super popular, right?
- 45:53[SPEAKER_00]: But talk I go lunatic not saying he is a lunatic talk like a lunatic.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_00]: Um, is where he gets a lot of his information.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_01]: Interesting.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and the guys a big dolphins fan, I guess so okay.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know his name, but I There's no disrespect to him.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_00]: He's obviously made an impact.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_00]: I would know him by face, but I don't know my name All right, I like that
- 46:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, my son is like, hey, dad, here's my first mock draft.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to be like, I'm sending you to a counting camp.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you're going to, you're going to go learn to play the guitar or something else.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_01]: Anything.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's, it's great.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I'm, I'm used to every year.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_01]: I get my ass kicked in my mock draft by,
- 46:36[SPEAKER_01]: Brian Costello's like 12-year-old son, you know, who, you know, and he's been, he's been own in me, Pedro Martinez style for Yankees Pedro style for like a decade now, which is troubling.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_01]: I think the youth is, you know, we, we think that they're getting away from sports, but they're, they're, they're, they're, they're better.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to, they're going to kick our ass.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_01]: So, all right, we, well, we got to do.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's closed this puppy out on Monday, uh, which we're going to go 21 to 32 on my day 21 to 32 on Monday.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_01]: Um, this was a no trades mock because I feel like it's all I did up.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_00]: There's no need to be doing that.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 47:15[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's true.
