- 0:00Speaker 1: This is seven tor Boy. The Mark Simoon Show starts.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Now.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Well, there's a lot going on. There's a new airport
- 0:19Speaker 1: in Palm Beach. It's causing all kinds of uproar. We'll
- 0:23Speaker 1: get to Graham Platnir he's out. We'll get to FIFA,
- 0:25Speaker 1: We'll get to the building collapse. More details coming out.
- 0:29Speaker 1: We'll get to the latest on Iran, Ukraine, and a
- 0:34Speaker 1: whole lot more. So. It happened this morning they officially
- 0:37Speaker 1: changed the name of the Palm Beach Airport, the one
- 0:40Speaker 1: in West Palm Beach, Palm PBI Palm Beach International Airport
- 0:44Speaker 1: is now Donald J. Trump International Airport. The code is
- 0:50Speaker 1: DJT the airport code. I lobbied a lot of people
- 0:54Speaker 1: in the White House to have the code b TDS.
- 0:59Speaker 1: I was on successful. TDS would be a great code
- 1:03Speaker 1: for that airport. Now it was officially renamed. It happened
- 1:09Speaker 1: this morning Donald J. Trump International Airport. Guess what the
- 1:12Speaker 1: first plane was to land? It was Trump Force one.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Eric Trump got up extremely early. This is the Trump plane,
- 1:22Speaker 1: the Trump company plane. This is Trump Force one, and
- 1:26Speaker 1: he flew down. There was the very first to land
- 1:30Speaker 1: at the new Donald J. Trump International Airport. Now, it's
- 1:33Speaker 1: not unusual to name an airport after a president. We
- 1:36Speaker 1: got a whole bunch of them. I think we've got
- 1:38Speaker 1: twelve of them around the country. Usually happens where the
- 1:42Speaker 1: president lived or was born his home state. You know,
- 1:46Speaker 1: there's an Abraham Lincoln Airport in Illinois. It happens frequently.
- 1:50Speaker 1: It's not unusual, not unusual. So, as predicted, a lot
- 1:58Speaker 1: of people are going crazy, the left because to get
- 2:02Speaker 1: to this airport, you got to pass fifty signs and
- 2:05Speaker 1: say Donald J. Trump International Airport. You got to take
- 2:08Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump Boulevard to get there. Everywhere you look
- 2:12Speaker 1: when you get in this airport Donald J. Trump International.
- 2:14Speaker 1: So the left crazy, temper tantrum, crying, left wingers, the
- 2:20Speaker 1: Trump haters can't deal with it. So, believe it or not,
- 2:25Speaker 1: they're traveling another hour or two to go to a
- 2:28Speaker 1: different airport if they have to fly. I'm not kidding.
- 2:31Speaker 1: If they're living the Palm Beach area, there's such whiny
- 2:36Speaker 1: temper tantrum Trump haters, they will not go to the airport.
- 2:39Speaker 1: They'll drive an hour to Fort Lauderdale Airport. Some even well,
- 2:43Speaker 1: listen to one of them. I think they're crazy. They
- 2:45Speaker 1: want to get on N ninety five and drive an
- 2:47Speaker 1: hour south or two hours north. Go right ahead.
- 2:50Speaker 3: But you know what, just because of a name change,
- 2:54Speaker 3: to change your airport.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Come on, all right, Well that's a normal person. But
- 2:57Speaker 1: here's one of these Trump arrangements syndrome idiots.
- 3:00Speaker 4: I think it's a joke, and I'm gonna fly in
- 3:02Speaker 4: and out of Orlando from now on to get to
- 3:05Speaker 4: my destination.
- 3:09Speaker 1: One of the great things about that Palm Beach Airport
- 3:12Speaker 1: for years is it smaller airport. It's like the Westchester Airport,
- 3:16Speaker 1: very easy to get in and out of, less delays.
- 3:20Speaker 1: It's like an old fashioned, convenient kind of airport without
- 3:23Speaker 1: the terrible lines. And also, if all these Trump arrangements
- 3:27Speaker 1: syndrome idiots are going to go somewhere else, great, great,
- 3:30Speaker 1: it'll be even easier to get in and out of
- 3:31Speaker 1: that airport. Also, you know if you're getting on a
- 3:34Speaker 1: plane out of the Palm Beach Airport that you won't
- 3:37Speaker 1: be sitting next to some left wing crazy I guess
- 3:41Speaker 1: if they're flying down there, you have to make arrangements.
- 3:43Speaker 1: They'll they'll have to fly to Fort Lauderdale or Miami,
- 3:47Speaker 1: Orlando and an extra hour two These are the same
- 3:53Speaker 1: Trump arrangement syndrome idiots. They're yelling and screaming about conserve
- 3:58Speaker 1: fuel and don't use too much, but here they'll drive
- 4:01Speaker 1: an extra hour or two just because they don't like
- 4:04Speaker 1: the name. Now, in response to this, there's a big
- 4:10Speaker 1: movement in a democratic world to rename O'Hare International Airport
- 4:15Speaker 1: after Obama, Chicago's hometown. So it would be Obama International Airport.
- 4:24Speaker 1: And I guess the left fields that they've got to
- 4:26Speaker 1: go tit for tat. I guess they also feel that
- 4:29Speaker 1: this would be he would Obama would win. It's a
- 4:31Speaker 1: bigger airport, you know, it's probably the major hub of
- 4:36Speaker 1: American airlines and airports. So watch for this big push
- 4:41Speaker 1: now to change that name. In Iran, we have been
- 4:46Speaker 1: hitting them hard all night. We've hit about ninety five
- 4:49Speaker 1: targets so far. Military targets were hitting them extremely hard
- 4:55Speaker 1: and the strikes will continue.
- 4:58Speaker 4: It's going to happen very fair. We have the harmo straight,
- 5:03Speaker 4: the boats have pulled out. I mean, it is a
- 5:06Speaker 4: gusher of oil right now. We have a lot of
- 5:07Speaker 4: oil and no anything that happens is going to happen
- 5:11Speaker 4: very fast.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Yeah. Now Iran is making all kinds of threats. There's
- 5:16Speaker 1: a threat. Yeah, there'll be grave consequences. You know, they've
- 5:20Speaker 1: attempted to kill President Trump in the past. They are
- 5:23Speaker 1: now trying to kill them again.
- 5:25Speaker 4: I mentioned it only because it's on the list. I
- 5:27Speaker 4: mean that came out. There was another list came out yesterday,
- 5:30Speaker 4: and I'm I'm number one on. I like being number
- 5:33Speaker 4: one on TikTok better, but I'm number one on the
- 5:36Speaker 4: list for killing.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Yeah. So, and as he said, he got lucky the
- 5:41Speaker 1: last couple of times, but you know, sometimes your luck
- 5:44Speaker 1: runs out. Now, the President was in Turkey for the
- 5:47Speaker 1: NATO conference with the brand new enormous Air Force one,
- 5:51Speaker 1: you know the plane that cutter landed, the Flying Palace,
- 5:55Speaker 1: the enormous plane. But when it came time to leave
- 5:59Speaker 1: Turkey Key yesterday, he had the old Air Force one
- 6:02Speaker 1: brought in so he could leave on that. And he
- 6:06Speaker 1: made up some excuse but didn't didn't pass the smell
- 6:09Speaker 1: test that the reason was the new Air Force one
- 6:14Speaker 1: was in England so that the members of the military
- 6:16Speaker 1: could visit it and see it doesn't ring true. Why
- 6:21Speaker 1: would he then have that old Air Force one brought
- 6:24Speaker 1: in instead of the new one? Apparently they were really
- 6:28Speaker 1: really worried about an attack on Air Force One, and
- 6:33Speaker 1: that's the reason he did it. The new Air Force One,
- 6:35Speaker 1: it's the plane that Cutter lent Us went through incredible
- 6:39Speaker 1: rebuilding and it took a customer a couple hundred million
- 6:44Speaker 1: to refit it put in all the security stuff, all
- 6:47Speaker 1: the communications stuff, and make it into an Air Force One.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Costs a lot of money, but apparently it doesn't have
- 6:54Speaker 1: some of the things that Air Force One has. One
- 6:57Speaker 1: is anti missile defenses. So they were worried about this
- 7:01Speaker 1: new Air Force One getting hit or the President getting
- 7:04Speaker 1: attacked with missiles in the air over that part of
- 7:07Speaker 1: the world. So the old Air Force One, which has
- 7:09Speaker 1: full anti missile defense, brought in, which means they're taking
- 7:13Speaker 1: this threat very very very seriously. But we're going to
- 7:18Speaker 1: keep going. This bombing, this war in Iran will continue
- 7:23Speaker 1: for days and days and days. It's going to get
- 7:26Speaker 1: heavier and heavier, and President saying Iran is calling. They're
- 7:30Speaker 1: trying to work out something, but as it gets real serious,
- 7:34Speaker 1: we may have to take out all their infrastructure, maybe
- 7:37Speaker 1: even carg Island, which is where all of their oil
- 7:40Speaker 1: is stored.
- 7:40Speaker 5: We attacked carg Island. Last night we knocked out a piece.
- 7:43Speaker 5: I said, don't touch the oil because maybe we'll take
- 7:47Speaker 5: over car Island. We may take over carg Island. It's
- 7:51Speaker 5: not a thing they can do about it.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Yeah, and now, if we took out carg Island, Iran
- 7:56Speaker 1: would be out of the oil business for many years.
- 7:58Speaker 1: It would take a long time to rebuild, and that
- 8:00Speaker 1: might drive the price of oil a little crazy. But
- 8:02Speaker 1: we could seize it too, and just take the oil
- 8:06Speaker 1: and distribute it. As I said, they're calling. There's some
- 8:11Speaker 1: sort of a little negotiation going on, but the President
- 8:14Speaker 1: Trump no longer trust them.
- 8:15Speaker 6: As far as I'm concerned, it's over.
- 8:17Speaker 4: I'll speak to our negotiators. They want to negotiate.
- 8:20Speaker 7: They're good people, Steve Woodcuff, Jared Gusher, but they have
- 8:24Speaker 7: to come back to me.
- 8:25Speaker 4: As far as I'm concerned, it's just a waste of
- 8:28Speaker 4: time dealing with them.
- 8:28Speaker 3: They're liars.
- 8:30Speaker 4: Yeah, so they're not doing a service to the people.
- 8:33Speaker 4: And I think more than anything else is I got
- 8:35Speaker 4: to know them, and I'm not sure I want to
- 8:38Speaker 4: make a deal with them. We can play games, but
- 8:40Speaker 4: I'm not sure I want to make a deal. Let's
- 8:41Speaker 4: just finish the job.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Well, and so people have been yelling for the weeks
- 8:45Speaker 1: and weeks and weeks and weeks of the ceasefire, finish
- 8:48Speaker 1: the job, finish the job. Now that he's going to
- 8:50Speaker 1: finish the job, they'll be yelling, what the hell you're doing,
- 8:52Speaker 1: Stop finishing the job. But this looks pretty good. If
- 8:57Speaker 1: you're watching MSNBC or CNN, or or reading the New
- 9:00Speaker 1: York Times, all you see these articles about how the
- 9:04Speaker 1: problem is he's not negotiating from strength like the previous administrations.
- 9:08Speaker 1: He's negotiating from weakness, not strength. Well, it wasn't negotiating
- 9:12Speaker 1: from strength. Paying ransom, putting billions of dollars on a
- 9:17Speaker 1: plane and sending it. That's just paying ransom. Blowing them
- 9:20Speaker 1: the hell up. That's pretty much a position of strength.
- 9:23Speaker 1: They're all hiding in caves from bombings, so it's a
- 9:27Speaker 1: position of strength that we have hey over there. In
- 9:30Speaker 1: those NATO talks, he told Spain we would cut them
- 9:34Speaker 1: off completely. They weren't contributing their money to NATO. We
- 9:39Speaker 1: were going to cut them off all together. Apparently, just
- 9:42Speaker 1: this morning, Spain has caved in. They will now pay
- 9:45Speaker 1: their full share. Zelensky and Trump met, they got along
- 9:49Speaker 1: pretty well. Zelensky is doing very very well in that
- 9:53Speaker 1: war against Russia. He's built his own factories, produces his
- 9:57Speaker 1: own drones. What's next, Well, maybe those patriot missiles. President
- 10:03Speaker 1: agreeing with him, maybe will show them how to build
- 10:05Speaker 1: patriot missile factories.
- 10:07Speaker 5: A little birdie told me this about the fact that
- 10:11Speaker 5: we'll give them the right to make patriots, will show
- 10:14Speaker 5: them how to do it. It's very complex, actually, but
- 10:17Speaker 5: it's uh, you'll figure out the complexity quickly.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Yeah. So if they because they were very good at
- 10:23Speaker 1: figuring out how to build drones and opening their own factories,
- 10:26Speaker 1: so drones and patriot missiles, they'll be all set. Russia
- 10:30Speaker 1: won't be able to make any progress. In fact, they'll
- 10:33Speaker 1: probably start losing territory, which is why Putin is talking
- 10:36Speaker 1: to Trump again. We have a lot of.
- 10:37Speaker 5: Pressure on President Putin.
- 10:40Speaker 6: You know, I don't think he likes what's going on.
- 10:43Speaker 6: I don't think he likes I don't think he's thrilled
- 10:45Speaker 6: with what's happening. There's a lot of pressure on President
- 10:49Speaker 6: Putin to get it done. I think there's pressure on
- 10:51Speaker 6: everybody to get that one done.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Yeah, it's pretty embarrassing for Putin. It was supposed to
- 10:55Speaker 1: be this massive superpower, incredible, powerful military, and they've been
- 10:59Speaker 1: in a stalemate with this little rinky dinky Ukraine for
- 11:02Speaker 1: five years now.
- 11:03Speaker 4: You know, I used an analogy and it sounds simple,
- 11:07Speaker 4: but it's sort of true.
- 11:08Speaker 7: You have two kids in a park and they don't
- 11:11Speaker 7: like each other, or they start fighting. Sometimes you have
- 11:14Speaker 7: to let them fight, let them see that it's tough.
- 11:18Speaker 2: You know, it's tough.
- 11:19Speaker 6: Fighting is tough.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I see what he means. Though, if you
- 11:23Speaker 1: can settle this, at least Putin, who had always talked
- 11:26Speaker 1: about taking another piece of territory going into another country,
- 11:30Speaker 1: may have learned his lesson and that may all be
- 11:33Speaker 1: on hold for now. Hey, that building collapse forty second
- 11:39Speaker 1: between second and third, close to traffic. It looks like
- 11:41Speaker 1: they're going to reopen it a little because yesterday and
- 11:45Speaker 1: overnight they think they have They haven't fixed the problem.
- 11:49Speaker 1: The problem was the steel was buckling, the beams were buckling.
- 11:52Speaker 1: They think they've put a temporary something in there to
- 11:55Speaker 1: hold those beams up. They think they've stabilized the building.
- 11:59Speaker 1: This is now well, this is nowhere near fixing the problem.
- 12:02Speaker 1: You still got the problem. They may have to take
- 12:04Speaker 1: down the twenty floors they put on top, they may
- 12:07Speaker 1: have to take down the whole building. Who knows. This
- 12:09Speaker 1: is going to take a long investigation by experts, but
- 12:13Speaker 1: they think they've stabilized it. So they've opened up the
- 12:16Speaker 1: area to some traffic so it's not as bad as
- 12:18Speaker 1: it was now. This developer apparently has another building where
- 12:25Speaker 1: he's been you know, all sorts of claims. He's facing
- 12:28Speaker 1: almost four hundred million dollars in claims for taking shortcuts
- 12:32Speaker 1: on the construction. So this developer, it is the craziest
- 12:35Speaker 1: thing I've ever seen where this building collapse, this old
- 12:39Speaker 1: Pfizer building, decided to build twenty new stories on top
- 12:42Speaker 1: of part of it, and the beams couldn't hold twenty
- 12:47Speaker 1: stories of a building above it. They weren't able to
- 12:49Speaker 1: hold that kind of weight. You would think architects, engineers
- 12:53Speaker 1: could know that and figure that out ahead of time.
- 12:55Speaker 1: But if this is the case with this other building
- 12:59Speaker 1: where he takes shortcuts and doesn't use the best people,
- 13:02Speaker 1: well you're going to see probably a billion dollars worth
- 13:05Speaker 1: of lawsuits here. But they're building thirty seven stories. The
- 13:10Speaker 1: Nathan Berman is the managing principal and founder of this company.
- 13:15Speaker 1: What he said sounded a little crazy. He said, it's
- 13:21Speaker 1: not a bad it's not a big thing. It's not
- 13:23Speaker 1: a total collapse. It's a localized collapse. Well that's a collapse.
- 13:29Speaker 1: There's either no collapse or it's a collapse. It's a
- 13:31Speaker 1: localized collapse. And he said this incident is nothing more
- 13:37Speaker 1: than a typical construction mishap. All right, that's about the
- 13:42Speaker 1: dumbest statement anybody could make. The last thing this is
- 13:46Speaker 1: is a typical construction mishap. Typical construction mishap is you
- 13:51Speaker 1: forget to tie down some materials in a big wind,
- 13:54Speaker 1: some bricks or something flies off the scaffold. Collapse is
- 13:59Speaker 1: not a typical construction mishap. So if he's saying absolutely idiotic,
- 14:04Speaker 1: insane things like that, you know you can't listen to
- 14:07Speaker 1: anything this guy says. The city officials looking at it,
- 14:12Speaker 1: they said, the way the buildings constructed, steel frame building,
- 14:16Speaker 1: it's not likely that it would topple. If there's a
- 14:19Speaker 1: collapse of some kind, it it would pancake down. That's
- 14:24Speaker 1: the way the World Trade Center was built, you know,
- 14:27Speaker 1: back in nine to eleven. Had it not been built
- 14:29Speaker 1: that way, it would toppled. It would have gone for
- 14:32Speaker 1: five six blocks, but it pancaked down on itself. So
- 14:35Speaker 1: this building would do that. But they believe they've got
- 14:40Speaker 1: the temporary fix to just stabilize it and give them
- 14:43Speaker 1: some time to figure out what to do. A lot
- 14:46Speaker 1: of this building's going to have to come down most likely.
- 14:50Speaker 1: There's probably no other way to fix this. Hey, well,
- 14:53Speaker 1: take some calls. Next eight hundred three two one zero
- 14:56Speaker 1: seven ten is the number eight hundred one zero seven
- 15:01Speaker 1: to ten. It's the Mark.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Simon Show Live from the Double R Life back studio.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Frank in Arizona. Frank,
- 15:15Speaker 1: how you doing.
- 15:17Speaker 8: Good morning, Mark, Mark not a platinus dropped out of
- 15:20Speaker 8: the race. Does he get to keep any of the
- 15:22Speaker 8: money he raised?
- 15:22Speaker 1: Yeah, you can keep the money.
- 15:25Speaker 3: Oh he hit the lottery.
- 15:26Speaker 8: Basically, well, yeah.
- 15:28Speaker 1: You can keep your money. Now you're supposed to only
- 15:31Speaker 1: this is just you keep it on the basis that
- 15:33Speaker 1: you'll be running another campaign in the future and you're
- 15:35Speaker 1: keeping it for that and you're really only allowed to
- 15:38Speaker 1: spend it on campaign expenses. But you can you can
- 15:41Speaker 1: stretch that out. You could pay for your office, your car,
- 15:44Speaker 1: your driver, your secretary. You can pay for it with that.
- 15:46Speaker 8: And he says he wants his wife to run instead
- 15:49Speaker 8: of him.
- 15:50Speaker 3: Yeah, so that way, good luck.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Keep raising money. Yeah, we'll talk about blattin. They're coming up.
- 15:55Speaker 1: It's a ridiculous situation. Democrats, you know, they go nuts
- 16:00Speaker 1: when they try to copy Republicans, you know, and they
- 16:03Speaker 1: tried to during the Bush years. Well, we'll find a
- 16:05Speaker 1: military guy. They find John Kerry who had been in
- 16:09Speaker 1: the military for two weeks fifty years ago and looked ridiculous.
- 16:12Speaker 1: And the same thing with Platnir. We'll find a working man.
- 16:15Speaker 1: This was their idea of a working man. This cape
- 16:18Speaker 1: fear looking lunatic. Let's go to Rich in Myrtle Beach.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Rich How you doing, Hey, Thanks Mark. You know, I'm
- 16:26Speaker 3: glad Trump is finally I'm the biggest Trump supporter, is
- 16:29Speaker 3: I one the guy who run twenty five years ago.
- 16:30Speaker 3: I'm glad to see he's finally gonna you know what,
- 16:32Speaker 3: and get off the pot and go do what he's
- 16:34Speaker 3: supposed to do. I went shopping with my buddy Ray yesterday.
- 16:38Speaker 3: Gas was three point thirty one. We came back an
- 16:40Speaker 3: hour and a half later it was three fifty nine.
- 16:42Speaker 3: It went up twenty eight cents in an hour as
- 16:45Speaker 3: soon as he dropped the first bomb. Now Trump's gonna
- 16:48Speaker 3: have to I called my senators, get on your companies.
- 16:51Speaker 3: If we're producing our own oil, we shouldn't be having anything.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Is the problem we produce. Not only are all our
- 16:58Speaker 1: own oil, we produced more than we could ever. We're
- 17:00Speaker 1: the biggest seller of oil in the world. If you
- 17:02Speaker 1: tell them you got to cut the price, they'll just
- 17:06Speaker 1: pump less. They'll they'll just drill less, and they'll cut
- 17:09Speaker 1: down the supply. They'll raise the price that way. So
- 17:14Speaker 1: either way you're gonna have this.
- 17:15Speaker 3: Yeah, we need to get the prices down for somewhere
- 17:17Speaker 3: tourism and traffic.
- 17:18Speaker 1: I understand. But if you make them cut the price deliberately,
- 17:21Speaker 1: they'll just cut the supply and then eventually the price
- 17:23Speaker 1: will come back up.
- 17:24Speaker 3: But that would be a falsehood mark because we will
- 17:28Speaker 3: well know this.
- 17:29Speaker 1: We all know this.
- 17:30Speaker 3: No, you can't claim all right, we all know that.
- 17:32Speaker 1: But that's the problem there. So it's but the only
- 17:35Speaker 1: good news out of all of this with the Iran
- 17:38Speaker 1: war is we are the biggest supplier of oil in
- 17:41Speaker 1: the world. And more countries are now buying from US.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Thirty percent more oil being sold now by US oil companies.
- 17:47Speaker 1: We are now the biggest supplier of oil all over
- 17:50Speaker 1: the world. A lot of people realizing you've got to
- 17:52Speaker 1: be careful with Iran oil because it makes things like
- 17:55Speaker 1: this could happen. The only reliable, steady stream is from
- 17:58Speaker 1: the US. So thirty percent sent more countries now buying
- 18:01Speaker 1: their oil from US. Let's go to Bob in Connecticut. Bob,
- 18:05Speaker 1: how you doing Mark?
- 18:07Speaker 9: It's corrupt. It's not Connecticut.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Well, people. People may not realize you've had a couple
- 18:13Speaker 1: of governors go to jail, like every mayor of Bridgeport,
- 18:17Speaker 1: the Waterbury of Hartford, a lot of mayors have gone
- 18:20Speaker 1: to jail there. It's a big pocket of corruption there.
- 18:24Speaker 9: Yes, definitely. But I think it's a great idea to
- 18:28Speaker 9: change the name of the airport because think about this,
- 18:32Speaker 9: if you want to aggravate the socialist communist Democrats, that
- 18:39Speaker 9: every city has a Martin Luther King Boulevard. And he
- 18:44Speaker 9: was a registered Republican because he knew these people were evil.
- 18:50Speaker 10: Don't tell people it was a Republican. They don't know
- 18:52Speaker 10: that he was.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Oh, I know, but they don't like that. Yeah, he
- 18:55Speaker 1: was anti abortion, he was. He was a real Republican.
- 18:58Speaker 1: But don't tell anybody, they'll go crazy.
- 19:00Speaker 9: See if they find out that's why the Democrats in
- 19:03Speaker 9: their army, which is the Klan, had him killed.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Well, no, we don't know, we don't know exactly what
- 19:10Speaker 1: happened there. But Lincoln was a Republican. Martin Luther King
- 19:14Speaker 1: was a Republican. Don't tell everybody that. They'll get all
- 19:16Speaker 1: upset if.
- 19:16Speaker 3: They hear that.
- 19:17Speaker 2: Let's go to Pat in Westchester. Pat, how you doing
- 19:20Speaker 2: any mark you know that buys a building that's about
- 19:24Speaker 2: to collapse. There was a plan that's a residential makeover. Yeah,
- 19:29Speaker 2: after what happened. If you recall them a few years
- 19:32Speaker 2: back with coming in Florida, the entire building tipped over.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Savvy New York is good luck to the guide frying
- 19:39Speaker 2: the solos, the promise the.
- 19:40Speaker 1: People, Yeah, they'll have to tear down everything they put.
- 19:42Speaker 1: What they did is they try to add another twenty
- 19:44Speaker 1: floors on one side of the building. It's a strange,
- 19:49Speaker 1: these big office buildings, the idea of converting them to residential.
- 19:53Speaker 1: It's a tough thing to do. It's not easy because
- 19:57Speaker 1: in an office building. Now Here we are in a
- 19:59Speaker 1: big skyscraper. Right here, we're on the sixth floor of
- 20:01Speaker 1: a major skyscraper. There's only one bathroom. Well, it's two.
- 20:06Speaker 1: There's a ladies room and a men's room. Way down
- 20:08Speaker 1: on that end of the floor. It's the men's room
- 20:11Speaker 1: and ladies room. And that's it. Now, if you have
- 20:14Speaker 1: a residential building, you got to have a bathroom, like
- 20:17Speaker 1: every fifty feet you got to you know, if you
- 20:20Speaker 1: have fifty apartments on the floor, you've got to build
- 20:23Speaker 1: fifty bathrooms, and then you have to build fifty kitchens.
- 20:26Speaker 1: So you have to add all of this stuff to
- 20:28Speaker 1: each floor. It's not easy to do, and then you
- 20:31Speaker 1: have to lay it out differently. It's really tough to
- 20:35Speaker 1: convert an office building residential. And this one it looked
- 20:39Speaker 1: like kind of a ridiculous project. It's a thirty seven
- 20:41Speaker 1: story building and then we're going to convert it to
- 20:45Speaker 1: sixteen hundred residential units. Have you ever heard of a
- 20:48Speaker 1: building with sixteen hundred apartments in it? That's a lot.
- 20:52Speaker 1: It's kind of ridiculous. It's great if you're the doorman,
- 20:55Speaker 1: because it's sixteen hundred tenants At Christmas time. Don't have
- 20:58Speaker 1: to tip you, but it sounds a little crazy. Let's
- 21:01Speaker 1: go to Joseph in Manhattan. Joseph, how you doing?
- 21:05Speaker 10: Okay, Mark, good morning? Now not democrat Nazi tattoo. Graham
- 21:11Speaker 10: Cracker has cracked. We can go back to simpler times.
- 21:15Speaker 10: I like, remember when Democrat Anthony Wiener was chex texting.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Yeah, these democrats, I'm sure Republicans you can name a
- 21:24Speaker 1: few of too, but maybe with the sex stuff. But
- 21:27Speaker 1: I can't.
- 21:28Speaker 3: You don't.
- 21:28Speaker 1: You're not gonna be able to come up with a
- 21:29Speaker 1: Republican with a big Nazi SS death camp tattoo right
- 21:35Speaker 1: in the middle of his chest. And yeah, this is
- 21:39Speaker 1: a I mean, it's kind of fun watching democrats just
- 21:42Speaker 1: shoot themselves in the foot here. But well, we'll get
- 21:45Speaker 1: into it a little later. We'll get the platiner in
- 21:47Speaker 1: the next hour. Hey, when we come back to hunt
- 21:49Speaker 1: for Steve Moore, we'll have we'll talk to the brilliant
- 21:51Speaker 1: economist Steve Moore. Lots to talk to him about coming
- 21:54Speaker 1: up next to gas prices oil. We'll get to all
- 21:56Speaker 1: of that on seven to ten w R markimone on
- 22:01Speaker 1: seven ten wor Well, Steve Moore, the Great economists, brilliant economists.
- 22:11Speaker 1: And he's got a wonderful book that you should read,
- 22:14Speaker 1: The Trump Economic Miracle. It really explained to you, see
- 22:17Speaker 1: you clearly, the Trump Economic Miracle. And he runs the
- 22:20Speaker 1: Committee to Unleash Prosperity and they put out the best
- 22:24Speaker 1: daily briefing, news analysis. You'll sound super smart if you
- 22:28Speaker 1: read this every day and it's free. Come write to
- 22:31Speaker 1: your email. Just go sign up Unleashed Prosperity dot com
- 22:34Speaker 1: and sign up for the hotline. Steve Moore, how you doing, Hey, Mark?
- 22:39Speaker 3: Doing well?
- 22:40Speaker 8: Really good? I think the economy is looking better every day,
- 22:44Speaker 8: although I'm a little worried about the issue with what's
- 22:46Speaker 8: going on and around. But if we can get that
- 22:48Speaker 8: oil price down, I think all systems are going. We've
- 22:51Speaker 8: got a construction boom going on in manufacturing, investment boom,
- 22:54Speaker 8: as Larry Cudler would say, so we got a stock
- 22:57Speaker 8: market boom. So I like, what's going on in America.
- 23:00Speaker 8: Got to do something about getting that straight of hormones.
- 23:02Speaker 8: Every time we think we're past that crisis, it seems
- 23:05Speaker 8: that were uped again.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Okay, but we intensified bombing. If this goes for let's
- 23:11Speaker 1: say eight weeks at the most. We could get through that,
- 23:13Speaker 1: can't we.
- 23:14Speaker 8: Yeah, and well listen, I mean I'm not an expert
- 23:17Speaker 8: on foreign policy, but I'm here to say that when
- 23:19Speaker 8: when that you know, energy, those owner energy channels are
- 23:23Speaker 8: back open, there's a very good chance we're going to
- 23:26Speaker 8: see a real economic boom. By the way, you know,
- 23:29Speaker 8: we had to doll up at over fifty three thousand.
- 23:31Speaker 8: I think it's fallen a little bit since then, but
- 23:33Speaker 8: that's so incredible. I mean, when I first came to Washington,
- 23:35Speaker 8: it was one thousand, fifty three thousand. That shows you
- 23:38Speaker 8: the power of the American economy.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Well, hey, explain this to me years ago, many many
- 23:44Speaker 1: years ago. Nelson Rockefeller his dream was to run for president,
- 23:47Speaker 1: but he had been divorced. Yeah, they said, well a
- 23:49Speaker 1: divorce man, it's just too much. You can't run for president.
- 23:52Speaker 1: How is it now? You could have a Nazi tattoo
- 23:54Speaker 1: on your chest while you're raping something and it's fine,
- 23:58Speaker 1: that's that's no problem. What happened.
- 24:01Speaker 8: Well, this is a real shame in the Democratic Party,
- 24:04Speaker 8: by the way, that you know, uh, what's his name again, Graham?
- 24:08Speaker 8: What's the platin Yeah, I mean, first of all, you know,
- 24:13Speaker 8: he emerges on the scene and he's the dowling of
- 24:15Speaker 8: the Democrats. Right, he's the next big thing in the
- 24:17Speaker 8: Democratic Party, and he's a working man's guy and out
- 24:21Speaker 8: of the h don't don't you know, never mind the
- 24:23Speaker 8: fact that he has a Nazi tattoo, and never mind
- 24:25Speaker 8: that he has all these allegations of uh, you know,
- 24:28Speaker 8: abusing women, et cetera, et cetera. But you know, all
- 24:30Speaker 8: the Democrats in the Senate, Oh, he's wonderful. Bernie Sander
- 24:34Speaker 8: says he's my guy, and so does Elizabeth Warren. But
- 24:36Speaker 8: then he starts falling in the polls, right, and all
- 24:40Speaker 8: of a sudden, the bloom is off the rose.
- 24:42Speaker 3: So what do they do.
- 24:43Speaker 8: They throw him under the bus, and they say, we
- 24:44Speaker 8: got to get rid of this guy. And so now
- 24:47Speaker 8: he's out, and now the Democratic establishment will pick their
- 24:51Speaker 8: own candidate. Gee, that sounds a lot like what they
- 24:53Speaker 8: did to Joe Biden.
- 24:54Speaker 1: Right, Hey, let me just I notice the way these
- 24:59Speaker 1: socialists socialists, the way that socialism works is everybody gets
- 25:04Speaker 1: nothing and the people running it get everything. You know,
- 25:07Speaker 1: city council take it rich. Yeah, city councils voting themselves
- 25:10Speaker 1: are raised even this crazy governor wants everybody to turn
- 25:13Speaker 1: their thermostat up. People are reporting, oh my god, reporters
- 25:16Speaker 1: have gone into city Hall and checked the temperature that
- 25:19Speaker 1: bring thermometers. They have it at sixty eight. Why do
- 25:22Speaker 1: we have to be seventy eight?
- 25:24Speaker 8: Yeah, this is a big story. We have this in
- 25:26Speaker 8: our hotline today. By the way, people can get that
- 25:28Speaker 8: just go to on least pust thirty dot com and get.
- 25:31Speaker 1: It for free.
- 25:31Speaker 8: But this story about Hockel, what she wants to do
- 25:35Speaker 8: is regulate, have the government regulate the temperature house. So
- 25:39Speaker 8: do you remember I'm Mark, I think you and I
- 25:41Speaker 8: I'm a little maybe a little bit older than you.
- 25:42Speaker 8: Remember Jimmy Carter and his fireside chats. It's a car
- 25:45Speaker 8: to get sweater or the existent. You know, everybody's got
- 25:48Speaker 8: to turn down their thermostat, you know, turn up you know,
- 25:52Speaker 8: cold winter months because we're running out of energy. That
- 25:55Speaker 8: seems to be the canty Hochel you know idea that
- 25:58Speaker 8: she we're gonna And now they've got this kind of
- 26:01Speaker 8: Orwellian idea that if you pay that, if you pay
- 26:05Speaker 8: the utility companies, they will pay you three hundred dollars
- 26:10Speaker 8: a year if you'll let them regulate the temperature of
- 26:12Speaker 8: your house.
- 26:13Speaker 3: Yes.
- 26:13Speaker 1: So, now what you say is they're not suggesting seventy
- 26:15Speaker 1: eight they would install a thermostat that they can control
- 26:18Speaker 1: from somewhere.
- 26:19Speaker 8: Yes, exactly what I mean, that's like George Orgewell or
- 26:22Speaker 8: well stuff. I mean, so what Hoka wants us to say,
- 26:26Speaker 8: you should really shouldn't have your temperature And the Europeans
- 26:29Speaker 8: have been doing this too, you know, not set below
- 26:32Speaker 8: seventy eight degrees in the summer and not above sixty
- 26:35Speaker 8: eight degrees.
- 26:35Speaker 3: In the winter.
- 26:37Speaker 8: What you have to wear a parker in your house
- 26:42Speaker 8: in the winter, and you're gonna have to or paintstop
- 26:45Speaker 8: in your house in the summer. I mean, this is craziness,
- 26:48Speaker 8: it really is. And so the idea that the government
- 26:52Speaker 8: can go can regulate the temperature house, I mean, are
- 26:55Speaker 8: there no individual rights and there are no limits on
- 26:57Speaker 8: the power of government.
- 26:59Speaker 1: Yeah, if they do that, if they got away with that,
- 27:01Speaker 1: they would next do it to your television, set your
- 27:04Speaker 1: oven every time. We so, so this November, everybody start here.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Everybody throw Kathy Hokle out and vote in Bruce Blakeman
- 27:13Speaker 1: in November. Let's start there and Hopefully it starts a
- 27:17Speaker 1: movement to get rid of these These socialists will all
- 27:21Speaker 1: just wear themselves out, and you know they'll be gone
- 27:25Speaker 1: in two years, won't they.
- 27:28Speaker 8: I hope.
- 27:28Speaker 3: So.
- 27:28Speaker 8: I mean, I think one of the tragedies of our
- 27:30Speaker 8: country right now, frankly, Mark, is that we've got our
- 27:34Speaker 8: great cities like New York, in Chicago and Los Angeles
- 27:37Speaker 8: and now including Seattle, that are run by basically left
- 27:44Speaker 8: wing socialists, and they're destroying our great cities. I mean,
- 27:47Speaker 8: it's a very sad thing to see. And so you
- 27:51Speaker 8: know what, the survival of our cities really is dependent
- 27:54Speaker 8: on getting rid of these people. I mean, look at
- 27:57Speaker 8: you know, I love this headline the other day and
- 28:00Speaker 8: the New York Times. It's that, you know, gee, all
- 28:02Speaker 8: the landlords are really surprised and the government officials that
- 28:05Speaker 8: people aren't paying their rent. Well, gee, maybe if you
- 28:07Speaker 8: tell people you don't have to pay your rent and
- 28:09Speaker 8: you'll never be evicted, people won't pay their rent. Yeah,
- 28:12Speaker 8: that's what's happening.
- 28:14Speaker 1: So hey, you probably saw this building collapse we have here.
- 28:18Speaker 1: They're so busy worrying about my thermostat why aren't they
- 28:21Speaker 1: doing a bad job of approving if you look at
- 28:23Speaker 1: what they did, adding twenty stories on top of it,
- 28:27Speaker 1: who approve that? Why don't they work on that approval
- 28:31Speaker 1: process a little more.
- 28:33Speaker 8: Well, that's a great point. And you know, the government
- 28:37Speaker 8: is so involved in things like climate change policy and
- 28:42Speaker 8: so on, they're neglecting the things that really matter, which
- 28:45Speaker 8: is safety. And you know, you guys have very strict
- 28:47Speaker 8: climate change policies in New York. You wouldn't be running
- 28:50Speaker 8: out of energy today. By the way, in New York,
- 28:53Speaker 8: you wouldn't have to be regulating people's thermostats. New York
- 28:56Speaker 8: has a lot of energy. You know, you've got you're
- 28:59Speaker 8: right there in the shale formation. And you've seen the
- 29:02Speaker 8: charts in our book that show that. You know that
- 29:05Speaker 8: Pennsylvania is taking all your energy. You know that they're
- 29:09Speaker 8: drilling though known in New York and taking out your
- 29:11Speaker 8: energy because you won't drill for it. You wouldn't have
- 29:13Speaker 8: to be paying so high utility bills in New York
- 29:16Speaker 8: if you just went through your by the way, est him,
- 29:19Speaker 8: it's three billion dollars a year you've lost because of
- 29:21Speaker 8: these crazy climate change which, by the way, are doing
- 29:24Speaker 8: nothing to change the temperature of the planet.
- 29:26Speaker 1: Yeah, we're sitting on top of natural guests. Also, that
- 29:29Speaker 1: crazy Andrew Cuomo closed Indian point that nuclear plant was
- 29:33Speaker 1: twenty five percent of our energy. What was the argument
- 29:35Speaker 1: against nuclear? It's as clean as can be, isn't it?
- 29:38Speaker 8: It sure is. And by the way, I don't think
- 29:40Speaker 8: I've seen the latest polls, but for the first time
- 29:42Speaker 8: in fifty years, of majority of Americans now support climate change.
- 29:46Speaker 8: I mean nuclear power. So that's pretty amazing thing. The
- 29:51Speaker 8: nuclear power is clean, it's sufficient, it's cheap, it's abundant.
- 29:54Speaker 8: You don't run out of it. I don't think we're
- 29:56Speaker 8: running out of atoms.
- 29:57Speaker 1: To you, if you were to drill we're sitting on
- 30:03Speaker 1: top of all this natural gas. If you were to
- 30:05Speaker 1: drill that, not only would you fix our energy problem.
- 30:08Speaker 1: But doesn't that doesn't that create a ton of jobs
- 30:11Speaker 1: all over the state.
- 30:13Speaker 3: Oh?
- 30:13Speaker 8: Sure it does. And look at by the way, if
- 30:15Speaker 8: you think I'm exaggerating folks, look what happened in Germany
- 30:17Speaker 8: because Germany went all in on wind power and solar
- 30:19Speaker 8: power about fifteen years ago, and they've damn near deindustrialized
- 30:23Speaker 8: the whole state, I mean the whole country. You know,
- 30:26Speaker 8: they couldn't make dmw's and stuff. Because the energy was
- 30:28Speaker 8: so expensive. They're finally coming around to saying, wait a minute,
- 30:31Speaker 8: this isn't really working, so let's not follow the losers.
- 30:34Speaker 8: And that's what New York does too often. There's nothing
- 30:37Speaker 8: that could New York can make a big comeback. Just
- 30:40Speaker 8: get somebody in there will cut taxes, cut regulation, get
- 30:43Speaker 8: rid of these crazy green energy policies, and we will
- 30:46Speaker 8: see a New York get rich again.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Yeah, Bruce Blakeman in November, like our Ron DeSantis, he
- 30:52Speaker 1: could turn this whole thing around.
- 30:53Speaker 8: I mean, by the way, I love the last thing
- 30:54Speaker 8: I know run in town. I saw a speech by
- 30:56Speaker 8: Lee Zelden. He spoke at our conference last week on
- 31:00Speaker 8: you know, what was called Prosperity to fifty, and he
- 31:04Speaker 8: was talked about all the things they're doing to deregulate
- 31:06Speaker 8: the economy. And because he said ahead an EPA, that
- 31:09Speaker 8: guy is so damn improcess. He's so smart. And I'm
- 31:12Speaker 8: like the voters of New York voted for Kathy Hochel
- 31:15Speaker 8: for this guy. I mean, you know, if Lee Zelden
- 31:18Speaker 8: were governor today, boy in New York would be in
- 31:21Speaker 8: great shape.
- 31:22Speaker 1: Yeah, well, thanks for rubbing it in don't make that mistake.
- 31:26Speaker 8: Come from Illinois, We're not much better.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Yeah. Hey, this daily hotline that you put out the
- 31:34Speaker 1: news analysis, like four or five stories. Great analysis that
- 31:37Speaker 1: is so well written, you guys. I don't know how
- 31:39Speaker 1: you put that together. And it's free. Anybody can get it.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Just go to Unleash prosperity dot com sign up for
- 31:45Speaker 1: the hotline Unleashed Prosperity dot com and Steve Moore great work.
- 31:51Speaker 1: And the book Trump, The Trump Economic Miracle. Everybody, you go,
- 31:55Speaker 1: and it is a miracle. It is all right, Steve Moore,
- 31:57Speaker 1: thanks for being with us.
- 31:59Speaker 8: All right, Thanks Mark, have a great weekend.
- 32:01Speaker 1: Take care. Hey, Buck and Clay will be here at
- 32:04Speaker 1: noon today. I love listening to them. You learn a
- 32:06Speaker 1: lot noon to three. Then at three o'clock you got
- 32:09Speaker 1: the most listened to radio show in America, Sean Hannity.
- 32:13Speaker 1: You got Jesse Kelly at six, got Jimmy Fayla at
- 32:17Speaker 1: nine o'clock. What a funny show, What a great show. Actually,
- 32:20Speaker 1: he'll be with us in the next hour. He'll be
- 32:22Speaker 1: our guest. But you got to listen to him every
- 32:24Speaker 1: night nine to midnight right here on seven ten WR
- 32:28Speaker 1: he knows his way around all this. It's the Mark
- 32:33Speaker 1: the Monk Show on seven ten. Wor Well, I don't
- 32:39Speaker 1: really understand this story. So the kid is taking flying lessons,
- 32:43Speaker 1: good guys, pilot license, but he's still working with an instructor.
- 32:48Speaker 1: It's in Argentina.
- 32:51Speaker 4: There.
- 32:51Speaker 1: He's giving him a flying lesson and at some point
- 32:53Speaker 1: the instructor says, well, you know what you have to do.
- 32:57Speaker 1: Carry on, you're on your own. The instructor buckles his
- 33:00Speaker 1: seat belt, takes off his helmet, opens the plane door,
- 33:03Speaker 1: and jumps out to his death. He kills himself. I
- 33:07Speaker 1: don't know, I beg I guess he wanted to commit suicide,
- 33:10Speaker 1: but what a what a way to do it. So
- 33:13Speaker 1: the kid, who's had a lot of training as a pilot,
- 33:17Speaker 1: manages to call the control tower tell him what happened,
- 33:20Speaker 1: manages to land the plane himself. They were pretty impressed
- 33:24Speaker 1: with his staying cool under all of that. But what
- 33:28Speaker 1: a ridiculous story. Now do you know about this other
- 33:30Speaker 1: Taco Bell explosive diarrhea story that's all over the news.
- 33:35Speaker 1: Not that I would go to Taco Bell anyway. Chuck
- 33:37Speaker 1: poult Lay much better, but they're pulling certain ingredients that
- 33:41Speaker 1: cause explosive diarrhea. It's getting close to lunchtime. Forget this story.
- 33:47Speaker 1: Forget this. I never said this. Hey, it's gonna be
- 33:50Speaker 1: not bad today. It's sunny. Now, there's gonna be a
- 33:52Speaker 1: couple of storms, thunderstorm rain maybe later in the day,
- 33:56Speaker 1: and then tomorrow there could be storms, just isolate a
- 34:01Speaker 1: shower or thunderstorm tomorrow. But then the weekend looks great.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Saturday and Sunday should be sunny. Eighties should be good,
- 34:09Speaker 1: good summer weather, nothing to worry about. I don't go away.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Coming up in the next hour, we'll get to that
- 34:13Speaker 1: crazy Graham Platner. We'll get to Jimmy Fayla will be
