- 0:09Speaker 2: Good evening and welcome to a special edition of The
- 0:12Speaker 2: Rita Panety Show coming to you from Phoenix, Arizona.
- 0:15Speaker 3: For earlier today, a huge crowd of over.
- 0:17Speaker 2: One hundred thousand gathered in and around State Farm Stadium
- 0:22Speaker 2: for the funeral of a man who has changed America.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Charlie Kirk's influence was profound before, but in death he
- 0:30Speaker 2: is seen as immortal, a martyr whose message rings louder
- 0:35Speaker 2: than ever.
- 0:35Speaker 3: I'll be speaking to CJ.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Pearson about the example Charlie Kirk has set the next generation,
- 0:41Speaker 2: and also about Erica Kirk's astonishing.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Act of grace.
- 0:45Speaker 2: And me Horowitz will also weigh into the significance of
- 0:49Speaker 2: today's service, and we'll look at the twelve key moments
- 0:54Speaker 2: from today's memorial and we never forget left He's losing
- 0:57Speaker 2: it tonight, starring this contempt corintable congresswoman.
- 1:02Speaker 4: Any legacy this man has left behind that should be
- 1:05Speaker 4: in the dust pen of history, and we should hopefully
- 1:09Speaker 4: move on and forget the heat that he spewed every
- 1:12Speaker 4: single day.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Now, let's look at some of the key moments from
- 1:16Speaker 2: Charlie Kirk's funeral.
- 1:17Speaker 3: There were so.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Many poignant moments, so many fantastic speeches, none more so
- 1:23Speaker 2: than Erica Kirk, who brought the whole stadium to tears.
- 1:28Speaker 2: It took extraordinary strength, extraordinary grace to do this.
- 2:08Speaker 5: Father, forgive them, for they not know what they do.
- 2:15Speaker 6: That man, that young man, I forgive him.
- 2:45Speaker 2: She explained that she forgave Charlie's killer because that's what
- 2:49Speaker 2: Jesus would have done, and that's what Charlie would have done.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Just an astonishing.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Speech, and Erica had a message for young men, the
- 2:58Speaker 2: message her husband not only preached, but he lived it
- 3:01Speaker 2: every day.
- 3:03Speaker 5: To all the men watching around the world, accept Charlie's
- 3:08Speaker 5: challenge and embrace true manhood.
- 3:15Speaker 7: Be strong and courageous for your families.
- 3:21Speaker 5: Love your wives and lead them, Love your children and
- 3:28Speaker 5: protect them. Be the spiritual head of your home. But
- 3:37Speaker 5: please be a leader worth following your wife. Your wife
- 3:52Speaker 5: is not your servant. Your wife is not your employee.
- 4:00Speaker 7: Your wife is not your slave. She is your helper.
- 4:07Speaker 7: You are not rivals.
- 4:09Speaker 5: You are one flesh working together for the glory of God.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Erica also had a message for young women, and as
- 4:21Speaker 2: you listen to this. Remember that Charlie said Erica is
- 4:25Speaker 2: far more conservative than he was. She's just the right
- 4:30Speaker 2: person to propel turning point USA to even greater heights.
- 4:35Speaker 5: Women, I have a challenge for you too, be virtuous.
- 4:43Speaker 5: Our strength is found in God's design for our role.
- 4:48Speaker 5: We are the guardians, We are the encouragers, we are
- 4:54Speaker 5: the preservers. Guard your heart.
- 5:00Speaker 7: Everything you do flows from it.
- 5:04Speaker 5: And if you're a mother, please recognize that is the
- 5:08Speaker 5: single most important ministry you have.
- 5:14Speaker 8: Now.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Vice President j. D. Vance gave a powerful speech. He
- 5:18Speaker 2: talked about his faith, and he talked about Charlie's influence
- 5:22Speaker 2: not only on himself but on the country.
- 5:25Speaker 9: You know, I can't help but think that they tried
- 5:30Speaker 9: to silence my friend Charlie Kirk. They tried to silence
- 5:34Speaker 9: our dear friend, Charlie Kirk. And today, tonight we speak
- 5:40Speaker 9: with Charlie and for Charlie louder than ever.
- 5:52Speaker 7: The evil murderer who took Charlie.
- 5:55Speaker 9: From us expected us to have a funeral today, and instead,
- 5:59Speaker 9: my friends, we have had a revival in celebration of
- 6:03Speaker 9: Charlie Kirk and of His Lord Jesus Christ. That I
- 6:08Speaker 9: always felt a little uncomfortable talking about my faith in public.
- 6:12Speaker 9: As much as I loved the Lord and as much
- 6:14Speaker 9: as it was an important part of my life. I
- 6:17Speaker 9: have talked more about Jesus Christ in the past two
- 6:21Speaker 9: weeks than I have my entire time in public life.
- 6:27Speaker 7: But JD.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Vance wasn't going to sugarcoat the christis facing America with
- 6:31Speaker 2: the modern left becoming increasingly violent and unable to tolerate
- 6:36Speaker 2: different views in peace.
- 6:40Speaker 9: I know that this makes you angry, just as it
- 6:42Speaker 9: has made me angry. But it is easy in these
- 6:46Speaker 9: moments to see only the worst of our fellow man.
- 6:51Speaker 9: I found myself wishing that I could pick up the
- 6:54Speaker 9: phone and talk to my friend and ask him for
- 6:58Speaker 9: his advice in his council, to ask him how to
- 7:02Speaker 9: respond to such hate and the souls from which that
- 7:05Speaker 9: hate springs. But I can't call my friend because he
- 7:10Speaker 9: was murdered for speaking the truth. I can only guess
- 7:15Speaker 9: at what he might say and what he would encourage
- 7:18Speaker 9: me to do. And here's what I think. I think
- 7:23Speaker 9: he would encourage me to be honest that evil still
- 7:26Speaker 9: walks among us, not to ignore it for the sake
- 7:30Speaker 9: of a fake Kumbaya moment, but to address it head
- 7:35Speaker 9: on and honestly as the sickness that it is.
- 7:38Speaker 2: And that was a thing that senior Trump advisor and
- 7:41Speaker 2: White House Deputy Chief of Star Stephen Miller also explored.
- 7:45Speaker 2: He lays out the difference between conservatives and the anti
- 7:50Speaker 2: West forces of the left.
- 7:52Speaker 10: The light will defeat the dark. We will prevail over
- 7:57Speaker 10: the forces of wickedness and evil. They cannot imagine what
- 8:02Speaker 10: they have awakened. They cannot conceive of the army that
- 8:07Speaker 10: they have arisen in all of us, because we stand
- 8:12Speaker 10: for what is good, what is virtuous, what is noble.
- 8:16Speaker 1: And to those trying.
- 8:17Speaker 10: To incite violence against us, those trying to foment hatred
- 8:21Speaker 10: against us, what do you have?
- 8:25Speaker 1: You have nothing. You are nothing.
- 8:28Speaker 10: You are wickedness, you are jealousy, you are envy, you
- 8:31Speaker 10: are hatred.
- 8:33Speaker 1: You are nothing.
- 8:34Speaker 10: You can build nothing, you can produce nothing, you can
- 8:39Speaker 10: create nothing. We are the ones who build. We are
- 8:43Speaker 10: the ones who create. We are the ones who lift
- 8:47Speaker 10: up humanity. You thought you could kill Charlie Kirk, You
- 8:53Speaker 10: have made him immortal. You have immortalized Charlie Kirk. And
- 8:58Speaker 10: now millions will carry on his legacy, and we will
- 9:03Speaker 10: devote the rest of our lives to finishing the causes
- 9:10Speaker 10: for which Charlie gave his last measure of devotion.
- 9:15Speaker 1: You cannot defeat us.
- 9:16Speaker 10: You cannot slow us, you cannot stop us, you cannot
- 9:19Speaker 10: deter us. We will carry Charlie and Erica in our
- 9:23Speaker 10: heart every single day and fight that much harder because
- 9:28Speaker 10: of what you did to us. You have no idea
- 9:32Speaker 10: the dragon you have awakened. You have no idea how
- 9:36Speaker 10: determined we will be to save this civilization, to save
- 9:41Speaker 10: the West, to save this republic.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Secretary of State Marco Arubia got a standing ovation, well,
- 9:48Speaker 2: most of the speakers did, and he talked about the
- 9:51Speaker 2: fact that people around the world are grieving for Charlie
- 9:55Speaker 2: and that senior members of Trump's administration were all in
- 9:58Speaker 2: the one place to pay tribute to this man.
- 10:02Speaker 11: Charlie Kirk was impactful, impactful because of all the things
- 10:06Speaker 11: I've said.
- 10:07Speaker 1: But look around this place. There's one hundred and something
- 10:10Speaker 1: thousand people here.
- 10:11Speaker 5: The President of the United States is here, his entire
- 10:14Speaker 5: cabinet is here.
- 10:16Speaker 8: Television are outlets and media outlets from all over the
- 10:19Speaker 8: world are covering this.
- 10:20Speaker 7: I just came from overseas and every country I stopped.
- 10:22Speaker 5: They gave us their condolences for his passing, impactful and
- 10:26Speaker 5: just thirty one years of life.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Benny Johnson spoke about how his great friend saved his life.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Before Charlie, Benny said he was a loser, an alcoholic,
- 10:37Speaker 2: without a wife, without kids, without purpose. That's all changed.
- 10:41Speaker 2: And he also spoke about what happened in Butler.
- 10:45Speaker 12: The Apostle Paul describes how God establishes the rulers of
- 10:49Speaker 12: the nations in the audience. Right now, there are rulers
- 10:54Speaker 12: of our land represented. Right here is the State Department,
- 10:59Speaker 12: the Department of Wars, the Department of Justice.
- 11:02Speaker 1: The chief Executive. God has instituted them.
- 11:06Speaker 12: God has given them power over.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Our nation and our land.
- 11:12Speaker 12: God saved our president, President Trump from an assassin's bullet
- 11:18Speaker 12: for this moment.
- 11:23Speaker 2: War Secretary Pete Hegzeth gave a powerful speech. He sees
- 11:27Speaker 2: Charlie's murder as a turning point.
- 11:31Speaker 13: My pastor texted me the day after that horrific event
- 11:35Speaker 13: and said, Pete, the devil overplayed his hand. Charlie started
- 11:40Speaker 13: with liberty but ended up lighting our country on fire.
- 11:44Speaker 1: For Christ.
- 11:44Speaker 13: He started turning point USA. But this moment is the
- 11:48Speaker 13: turning point for the USA.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Now, Tucker Casslon got a standing ovation before he even
- 11:54Speaker 2: began his speech. He was clearly touched by what you see,
- 12:00Speaker 2: what he was hearing and feeling at State Farm Stadium.
- 12:04Speaker 3: He saw it as biblical.
- 12:06Speaker 14: This is the most unbelievable thing I think I've ever seen.
- 12:10Speaker 14: And I don't whatever happens next in America, I hope
- 12:16Speaker 14: it's in this direction because God is here and you
- 12:19Speaker 14: can feel it.
- 12:21Speaker 7: And Charlie would have loved this.
- 12:23Speaker 14: But the main thing about Charlie and his message, he
- 12:27Speaker 14: was bringing the Gospel to the country. He was doing
- 12:31Speaker 14: the thing that the people in charge hate most, which
- 12:35Speaker 14: is calling for them to repent.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Charlie Kirk's producer, Andrew Colvit, said that Charlie was martyred
- 12:43Speaker 2: and that he lived his life as a prophet.
- 12:45Speaker 11: I see it now clearly that Charlie Kirk was a prophet,
- 12:50Speaker 11: not the fortune telling kind that could predict the future,
- 12:54Speaker 11: but the biblical kind. He confronted evil and proclaimed the
- 12:58Speaker 11: truth and called us to repent and be saved.
- 13:04Speaker 6: Amen.
- 13:11Speaker 1: And he wasn't mean about it.
- 13:13Speaker 7: He was kind and he was loving.
- 13:16Speaker 2: The President gave a quintessential Trump speech, and it contained
- 13:20Speaker 2: some lighter moments as he remarked on how he and
- 13:24Speaker 2: Charlie differed.
- 13:26Speaker 15: And I love me an American wrey stander.
- 13:33Speaker 7: All forgetting the men who died.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Who gave that right to me.
- 13:40Speaker 7: He did not hate his opponents.
- 13:41Speaker 16: He wanted the best for them. That's where I disagreed
- 13:46Speaker 16: with Charlie. I hate my opponent and I don't want
- 13:51Speaker 16: the best for them.
- 13:52Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I am sorry Erica.
- 13:55Speaker 16: But now Erica can talk to me and the whole group,
- 13:57Speaker 16: and maybe they can convince me.
- 13:59Speaker 1: That that's not great. But I can't stand my a
- 14:01Speaker 1: poetic I.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Don't think Donald Trump is changing, and who can blame him?
- 14:06Speaker 2: His opponents tried to put him in jail and bankrupt him.
- 14:10Speaker 3: Now.
- 14:10Speaker 2: The president also revealed that Charlie asked him to make
- 14:14Speaker 2: Chicago great again, and he's determined to do just that.
- 14:19Speaker 16: Raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Charlie was filled with
- 14:23Speaker 16: the patriotic.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Sperience from his youth, and he was an.
- 14:26Speaker 16: All American and everything he did and one of the
- 14:29Speaker 16: last things he said to me is, please, sir, save Chicago.
- 14:35Speaker 3: We're going to do that.
- 14:36Speaker 16: We're going to save Chicago from horrible crime.
- 14:40Speaker 2: And one of the most moving moments was right at
- 14:43Speaker 2: the end of the memorial when President Trump asked Erica
- 14:46Speaker 2: to come back on stage. It's clear that the president
- 14:50Speaker 2: and senior members of his administration have Erica's back.
- 15:36Speaker 14: Now.
- 15:36Speaker 2: There were plenty of other moving moments, plenty more laughs too.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Let's have a look at Charlie's great.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Mate, Donald Trump Junior doing a very good impersonation of
- 15:46Speaker 2: his father.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Have you been gotten the call from that guy a
- 15:49Speaker 1: couple of times?
- 15:51Speaker 5: You know?
- 15:51Speaker 4: Done?
- 15:53Speaker 5: Done?
- 15:56Speaker 10: You're getting a little aggressive and social media done relaxes.
- 16:10Speaker 2: And a young colleague of Charlie Kirk Mikey McCoy, like
- 16:14Speaker 2: a number of other speakers, called Charlie a martyr.
- 16:18Speaker 17: My friend was martyred for using his voice to engage
- 16:22Speaker 17: in peaceful dialogue. Charlie's assassin thought that he could steal
- 16:28Speaker 17: in silence his voice by putting.
- 16:29Speaker 1: A bullet in his neck.
- 16:32Speaker 17: In the words of Sore and Kuregarten, the tyrant dies
- 16:36Speaker 17: and his rule is over. The martyr dies in his
- 16:39Speaker 17: rule has just begun.
- 16:43Speaker 3: Still to come.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Lefties losing it, plus the misinformation campaign about the left
- 16:50Speaker 2: wing violence we are seeing.
- 16:51Speaker 3: Ami Horowitz joins me next.
- 17:00Speaker 2: You're watching the Reader Panny Show, and it's time for
- 17:02Speaker 2: lefties losing it now. While normal people from across America
- 17:07Speaker 2: were gathering in Phoenix to pay tribute to Charlie Kirk.
- 17:10Speaker 2: The line started the night before and by four am
- 17:13Speaker 2: the crowds were huge. As you can see, they're full
- 17:17Speaker 2: of young people, not just those geriatric misfits you see
- 17:21Speaker 2: it those No Kings protests, but amongst the patriots who love.
- 17:25Speaker 3: America just like Charlie did.
- 17:27Speaker 2: There was a small group of misfits who thought it's
- 17:30Speaker 2: a good idea to protest a funeral.
- 17:34Speaker 3: Just gross, gross, and talking about gross. This happened in NYC.
- 17:39Speaker 2: A group of contemptible far left imbeciles did their best
- 17:44Speaker 2: to interrupt a somber.
- 17:46Speaker 3: Vigil for Charlie. How did they do that?
- 17:49Speaker 2: Well, one screechy cretion sang bella chow a message written
- 17:54Speaker 2: on one of the unfired bullets, and then some sad
- 17:58Speaker 2: soy boys sang about want the young Republicans to die.
- 18:03Speaker 3: This is the modern left, ladies and gentlemen.
- 18:26Speaker 1: I don't want your salvations.
- 18:30Speaker 6: I want you.
- 18:33Speaker 1: We're not going to give you a second chance. You
- 18:35Speaker 1: when you've back for it. On your knees, begging and pleading.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Just when you think the Left has hit rock bottom,
- 18:43Speaker 2: they start digging. And that brings me to the Democrats
- 18:47Speaker 2: who have incited so much of this hate, so much of.
- 18:50Speaker 3: This hysterian violence.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Listen here to Democrat congress Woman Elan Omar who shared
- 18:57Speaker 2: a disgusting statement on x We shared this client that
- 19:01Speaker 2: Charlie Kirk was doctor Franken signed and his monster shot
- 19:05Speaker 2: him through the neck. Well, here is Omar on CNN
- 19:09Speaker 2: with Caitlin Collins doubling down.
- 19:11Speaker 18: I think it was the video where it called him
- 19:15Speaker 18: doctor Frankenstein and said his monster shot him through the neck.
- 19:17Speaker 18: I mean, obviously, this is a person and looking at this,
- 19:20Speaker 18: this is someone who was a husband and a father,
- 19:22Speaker 18: and in the days after his shocking death that happened
- 19:27Speaker 18: as a result of his views, or it happened as
- 19:30Speaker 18: a result as he was sharing his views publicly with people,
- 19:34Speaker 18: that people found it jarring to hear such criticism of
- 19:37Speaker 18: that in the immediate aftermath of.
- 19:40Speaker 4: What I find jarring is that there are so many
- 19:43Speaker 4: people willing to excuse the most reprehensible things that he said,
- 19:48Speaker 4: that they agree with that that they're willing to have
- 19:51Speaker 4: monuments for him, that they want to create a day
- 19:54Speaker 4: to honor him, and that they want to produce resolutions
- 19:58Speaker 4: in the House of Congress honoring his slafe and legacy.
- 20:04Speaker 4: It is one thing to care about his life, because
- 20:07Speaker 4: obviously so many people loved him, including his children and wife.
- 20:12Speaker 3: But I am not.
- 20:13Speaker 4: Going to sit here and be judged for not wanting
- 20:18Speaker 4: to honor any legacy this man has left behind that
- 20:21Speaker 4: should be in the dust pen of history, and we
- 20:25Speaker 4: should hopefully move on and forget the heat that he
- 20:28Speaker 4: spewed every single day.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Only one spreading hate is that hideously ungrateful woman. You know,
- 20:36Speaker 2: it's only in the West where people who hate the
- 20:38Speaker 2: country are accepted as migrants and allowed to.
- 20:41Speaker 3: Run for public office.
- 20:43Speaker 2: As for Charlie being left in the dustbin of history,
- 20:46Speaker 2: is that what she said? Well, his message his name
- 20:49Speaker 2: is bigger now than ever.
- 20:51Speaker 3: Sorry, Ela. Now let's check in.
- 20:53Speaker 2: On actress turn mad activist Cynthia Nixon. She's now boycotting
- 20:59Speaker 2: lefty corporate Disney because they're not left enough. Apparently this
- 21:03Speaker 2: is over the low rating Jimmy Kimmel being pulled off
- 21:06Speaker 2: air after deliberately lying about Charlie Kirk's alleged killer.
- 21:11Speaker 3: Suddenly the left cares.
- 21:13Speaker 2: About the First Amendment and free speech, if only they
- 21:17Speaker 2: knew what it meant.
- 21:18Speaker 19: I just canceled my Disney Plus and Hulu subscriptions, and
- 21:23Speaker 19: they asked me why I had other, and I wrote,
- 21:26Speaker 19: because I believe in the First Amendment. Reinstate, Jimmy Kimmel.
- 21:30Speaker 19: Now my whole family is really going to miss abid Elementary.
- 21:34Speaker 19: We are really gonna miss only murders in the building,
- 21:37Speaker 19: but you know what, we would miss the First Amendment
- 21:40Speaker 19: a whole lot more. Don't go to the theme parks,
- 21:43Speaker 19: don't go on the cruises.
- 21:44Speaker 3: Cancel your subscriptions.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Now, now let's hear from a race baiting past us,
- 21:49Speaker 2: viewing nothing but lies and vitriol. Now, either he is
- 21:53Speaker 2: lying and he knows he is lying, or is ignorant.
- 21:57Speaker 2: There are no other explanations for what you're about to hear.
- 22:01Speaker 20: Calling this nation to honor and venerate a man who
- 22:06Speaker 20: was an unapologetic racist and spent all of his life
- 22:12Speaker 20: sowing seeds of division and hate into this land. There's
- 22:17Speaker 20: nowhere in Bible where we are taught to honor evil,
- 22:24Speaker 20: and how you die does not redeem how you lived.
- 22:33Speaker 1: You do not become a.
- 22:35Speaker 20: Hero in your death when you were a weapon of
- 22:39Speaker 20: the enemy in your life.
- 22:42Speaker 2: And Charlie Kirk worked another miracle today.
- 22:45Speaker 3: He brought feuding former bros Elon.
- 22:47Speaker 2: Marston, President Donald Trump back together.
- 22:50Speaker 3: And Elon had this to say about Charlie.
- 22:54Speaker 21: Charlie was someone to hear your believed in dialogue, in
- 22:59Speaker 21: open debate. He was a man of by years.
- 23:03Speaker 1: He spoke eloquently.
- 23:05Speaker 21: He basically never even raised his voice. He was a
- 23:08Speaker 21: man of peace. And now he's been murdered in cold blood.
- 23:17Speaker 3: Did you know him personally?
- 23:18Speaker 21: Yes, of course we met many times.
- 23:20Speaker 3: How was he like?
- 23:21Speaker 21: I supported his opossession, I suported.
- 23:23Speaker 18: Turning point from from Yeah.
- 23:26Speaker 7: Finally, why was he killed?
- 23:31Speaker 14: He was?
- 23:31Speaker 4: He was.
- 23:32Speaker 21: He was killed because his words made a difference, because
- 23:36Speaker 21: he was showing people the light, and he was killed
- 23:41Speaker 21: by the dark.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Charlie was murdered by the dark for showing people the lie.
- 23:47Speaker 2: That's quite profound and beautiful from Elon musk Let's bring
- 23:51Speaker 2: in documentary filmmaker and commentator Army Horowitz. Army, what did
- 23:56Speaker 2: you think of today's service? The emotion in the room palpable.
- 24:01Speaker 3: It was quite powerful.
- 24:02Speaker 15: It was incredible, and it just it's unbelievable to hear
- 24:07Speaker 15: considering how dark what happened was, how evil it was.
- 24:11Speaker 15: For them not to fall into that trap and to
- 24:14Speaker 15: just focus on love and togetherness and camaraderie was incredible.
- 24:19Speaker 15: The moment where Erica Kirk forgave him well, something beyond
- 24:23Speaker 15: anything I could possibly muster up. And this is just
- 24:26Speaker 15: a direct contrast to the left.
- 24:30Speaker 1: It's a direct.
- 24:31Speaker 15: Contrast to when I've gone to similar rallies on the
- 24:34Speaker 15: left and all you hear is vitriol and hate and
- 24:39Speaker 15: a call for violence. It really shows the difference between
- 24:43Speaker 15: the two.
- 24:44Speaker 3: Oh, it does.
- 24:44Speaker 2: And you've experienced that, as you said yourself, you've been
- 24:47Speaker 2: met with violence just for taking an American flag to
- 24:51Speaker 2: a protest.
- 24:52Speaker 3: You didn't even say anything, do anything.
- 24:55Speaker 2: Just the presence of the American flag was enough to
- 24:58Speaker 2: trigger these people into violent acts against you.
- 25:02Speaker 15: Of an American flag. Yeah, I didn't buy a Maga sign, right,
- 25:06Speaker 15: or some pro Israel sign. It was an American flag
- 25:10Speaker 15: in America. Having Americans react to it, it's so fascinating
- 25:14Speaker 15: how the left has devolved into violence. And look they
- 25:19Speaker 15: say that there's you know, there's this narrative that it's
- 25:21Speaker 15: white supremisists who are involved. And yes, look there's some
- 25:24Speaker 15: truth to that, obviously, but with all large lies, they
- 25:27Speaker 15: take a kernel truth and they distort it.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Right, you look at doing here.
- 25:30Speaker 15: Sure there is violence on the very hard far right,
- 25:34Speaker 15: but it's such a small percentage of the demographic makeup
- 25:38Speaker 15: of the right as opposed to the violence of the left.
- 25:42Speaker 15: It's a much larger percentage of the democratic population.
- 25:45Speaker 2: And we say case after case after case, and you've
- 25:50Speaker 2: seen some polling recently that bears that out, where people
- 25:53Speaker 2: who identify as left leaning or.
- 25:56Speaker 3: Very left are quite openly.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Saying, yes, acts of violence are justifiable in some cases.
- 26:02Speaker 15: What's so fast thing about that poll is that it's
- 26:05Speaker 15: a linear poll, right, the spectrum is very clear. The
- 26:09Speaker 15: more left you are, the more prone to violence, which
- 26:12Speaker 15: we kind of knew. What was fascinating was the more
- 26:15Speaker 15: rain you are, the less you are calling from violence,
- 26:17Speaker 15: and that people in the center actually call for more
- 26:20Speaker 15: violence or accept more violence or political culture than people
- 26:24Speaker 15: in the center rate does. Yeah, so fasting, fascinating, Paul.
- 26:28Speaker 2: And completely contrary to so much of the media commentary
- 26:33Speaker 2: on this issue, because they love running that line that
- 26:37Speaker 2: the biggest threat is right wing extremism, and.
- 26:40Speaker 3: That's just not the case.
- 26:41Speaker 12: Now.
- 26:42Speaker 2: We saw footage today of Charlie Kirk's final moments, his
- 26:47Speaker 2: final day, and I was really touched by that. I
- 26:50Speaker 2: wasn't expecting to see it. We saw a little bit
- 26:52Speaker 2: of this about a week ago, but we saw a
- 26:56Speaker 2: lot more today and he was just so full of life,
- 27:00Speaker 2: so full of joy. He was on a university campus,
- 27:04Speaker 2: massive crowd, beautiful day, and.
- 27:08Speaker 3: The horror that followed is just unthinkable. Let's have a
- 27:11Speaker 3: look at some of that footage.
- 27:14Speaker 22: Did you want smile? Awesome, guys, thank you.
- 27:39Speaker 2: That was Utah Valley University and you see Charlie there
- 27:42Speaker 2: with a big smile on his face. It was always smiling, always.
- 27:46Speaker 2: He was the joyful warrior. They killed a joyful warrior.
- 27:50Speaker 15: I mean, I want to rewire my brain for that
- 27:53Speaker 15: to be the image I remember Charlie Kirk as opposed
- 27:55Speaker 15: to having seen those horrific images where I was just
- 27:59Speaker 15: woken up. I was a different part of the world
- 28:01Speaker 15: and I wake up to texts from friends and family
- 28:04Speaker 15: telling me that he was killed, and I turn on
- 28:07Speaker 15: Instagram and.
- 28:07Speaker 4: I couldn't believe it.
- 28:08Speaker 15: But those the images of him being murdered were all
- 28:11Speaker 15: over the place and just seared into my memory. And
- 28:14Speaker 15: those are the images I want to remember him, the
- 28:17Speaker 15: happy warrior, the person who was open and friendly, which
- 28:21Speaker 15: is so crazy because they're trying to make him the
- 28:25Speaker 15: exact opposite.
- 28:26Speaker 7: They keep us in the word hateful and hate.
- 28:29Speaker 15: And you saw not just those images, but when he spoke,
- 28:31Speaker 15: and if you listen, I have been listening to hours
- 28:35Speaker 15: of what he was saying, and those debates, you don't
- 28:37Speaker 15: hear any hate from him. It's openness, it's wanting to
- 28:41Speaker 15: convince somebody else of its position.
- 28:42Speaker 3: I thought hateful.
- 28:43Speaker 1: It's the opposite of hateful.
- 28:45Speaker 2: And the fact that again Commentitus, some people in the
- 28:49Speaker 2: Natia who should know better, Democrats congresswoman are using the
- 28:54Speaker 2: sort of language that the.
- 28:55Speaker 3: Alleged killer used. It's almost exactly the same.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Even this horrific murder, this assassination, hasn't been enough to
- 29:04Speaker 2: wake them up that this isn't the way to go,
- 29:07Speaker 2: this is not the way to engage in political debate.
- 29:10Speaker 15: Yeah, but unfortunately a line on the left think it
- 29:12Speaker 15: is right because remember words of violence. So if words
- 29:16Speaker 15: of violence, then you can use violence to combat words
- 29:21Speaker 15: because they're the same thing on a moral level. I
- 29:24Speaker 15: guess nobody then had their parents tell them use your words,
- 29:28Speaker 15: because they use their violence.
- 29:29Speaker 3: That's it now.
- 29:30Speaker 2: I mentioned earlier that elan Omer posted something terrible about
- 29:36Speaker 2: Charlie Kirk, casting him as some sort of a Frankenstein
- 29:39Speaker 2: who created a monster who killed him. I mean that
- 29:42Speaker 2: in itself is just so. It's not just ugly, it's
- 29:45Speaker 2: full of lies. It was of someone from the left
- 29:48Speaker 2: that killed him. It wasn't some turning point USA devotee.
- 29:52Speaker 3: And she's doubling down Army.
- 29:54Speaker 2: There is absolutely no self reflection, no apology, No I'm
- 29:59Speaker 2: going to turn down the temperature and do better. She's
- 30:03Speaker 2: doubled down on it on CNN without shame.
- 30:06Speaker 23: I'm sorry surprised, of course, I'm still surprised because she
- 30:11Speaker 23: can see this outpouring of grief, this she can see
- 30:16Speaker 23: the reaction.
- 30:17Speaker 2: I'm sure it's taken someone like her who exists in
- 30:20Speaker 2: an echo chamber by surprise, but to not take even
- 30:26Speaker 2: a moment to reconsider her position.
- 30:29Speaker 15: Shame and remorse are not words or actions in the
- 30:33Speaker 15: vocabulary of the left, And actually, on that see interview.
- 30:36Speaker 15: I want to point something out that people haven't pointed
- 30:38Speaker 15: out is that as horrific as I was, and it
- 30:41Speaker 15: was obviously, but she had said to the CNN host said, well,
- 30:46Speaker 15: do you agree that I have less brain processing power
- 30:50Speaker 15: as a black woman. But the problem was that the
- 30:53Speaker 15: host and of course I don't agree, but the host
- 30:56Speaker 15: didn't say because we know that was debunked. The host
- 30:58Speaker 15: knows that the hole didn't say, oh, I'm sorry, but
- 31:01Speaker 15: he never said that. She kind of implied that he
- 31:04Speaker 15: did say that, and she didn't agree with him, which
- 31:06Speaker 15: is the entire problem, casting him as his evil person
- 31:09Speaker 15: when it wasn't his words.
- 31:10Speaker 2: Do you think Caitlin Collins is ignorant she didn't know that,
- 31:15Speaker 2: or she chose not to make that correction because we
- 31:19Speaker 2: know where her politics lies and she doesn't want to
- 31:23Speaker 2: be sticking up for a Charlie Kirk and being critical
- 31:27Speaker 2: of an eel an omer.
- 31:29Speaker 15: Well, then she's either the worst journals in the world
- 31:32Speaker 15: and didn't hear all that these bunking that went on,
- 31:35Speaker 15: or she did and she chose to ignore it because
- 31:38Speaker 15: she likes to cast people like us, people like me,
- 31:41Speaker 15: I should say, and Charlie Kirk as he.
- 31:44Speaker 2: Now Vice president jd Vance gave a superb speech, and
- 31:49Speaker 2: he had this point in line.
- 31:51Speaker 9: It is better to die a young man in this
- 31:54Speaker 9: world than to sell your soul for an easy life
- 31:57Speaker 9: with no purpose, no risk, no love, and no truth.
- 32:02Speaker 2: I mean, what do you make of the role faith
- 32:04Speaker 2: played in today's memorial? Just about In fact, every speaker
- 32:09Speaker 2: talked about faith, and he was so important to Charlie.
- 32:12Speaker 2: His Christian faith was the most important thing to him
- 32:16Speaker 2: and his values. The way he lived his life, what
- 32:19Speaker 2: he preached was centered around that.
- 32:22Speaker 15: I mean, faith is an important part of what makes
- 32:26Speaker 15: us more human, right, what makes what brings humanity out
- 32:30Speaker 15: of us. And when we look at Charlie Kirk and
- 32:33Speaker 15: say he was his happy warrior, well, that goes hand
- 32:35Speaker 15: in hand with his faith, because that's what his faith
- 32:38Speaker 15: taught him. I think that again, when we go back
- 32:41Speaker 15: to contrasting the rallies of the left.
- 32:44Speaker 1: These are rallies devoid faith.
- 32:46Speaker 15: And when you don't have faith, you don't have a
- 32:48Speaker 15: belief in God, that's when you devolve into violence, I think,
- 32:52Speaker 15: and I think that that's why these we see what
- 32:56Speaker 15: happened today in Arizona and Glendale. Arizona was such a loving,
- 33:01Speaker 15: warm embrace of life as opposed to demonization.
- 33:05Speaker 1: I think it's because of the faith.
- 33:07Speaker 2: And yet at a funeral, we had the sort of
- 33:10Speaker 2: security you might expect if you're entering the Oval office.
- 33:13Speaker 2: It took hours for everyone to go through. No one
- 33:18Speaker 2: was really complaining. You had the president, they're the vice president,
- 33:21Speaker 2: just about every senior member of the administration, so you
- 33:24Speaker 2: can understand. But the fact that you can't even have
- 33:28Speaker 2: any sense of security at a funeral speaks to just
- 33:32Speaker 2: what across this point there is in this country when
- 33:35Speaker 2: it comes to political debate.
- 33:37Speaker 3: There is nothing that's off limits.
- 33:39Speaker 15: Those days are over, those days of being able to
- 33:44Speaker 15: walk on a college campus, give a speech in an
- 33:47Speaker 15: open area or over look. I get death threats all
- 33:50Speaker 15: the time. Everyone I know who is in this world
- 33:54Speaker 15: gets death threats repeatedly. Ben Shapiro can give a speech
- 33:59Speaker 15: on a campus having fifty a pelax of security guards
- 34:03Speaker 15: and police officer, not not to mention his own personal security.
- 34:06Speaker 1: And I think what we learn is.
- 34:07Speaker 15: That, look, if somebody wants to kill you, right, they're
- 34:11Speaker 15: going to be able to do it. If they're to
- 34:13Speaker 15: have to die, but they're willing to trade their freedom,
- 34:16Speaker 15: they can do it. It's a scary time for people
- 34:19Speaker 15: who want to speak out.
- 34:20Speaker 1: But we have to.
- 34:21Speaker 3: We just have to.
- 34:22Speaker 1: We have no choice.
- 34:23Speaker 2: I think it's something Douglas Murray said, when something like
- 34:26Speaker 2: this happens.
- 34:27Speaker 3: You spread the risk. I think it was actually.
- 34:29Speaker 2: Quoting Ion Herciali, who's intimately aware of the horrors that
- 34:34Speaker 2: can come from extremist attacking you for your opinion. Now,
- 34:38Speaker 2: The New York Post has a great editorial on the funeral.
- 34:42Speaker 2: They called it a message to the mainstream media. The
- 34:46Speaker 2: editorial asks, was Jimmy Kimmel watching Sunday was ABC? Do
- 34:50Speaker 2: they understand the bubble they've created? Not only do they
- 34:54Speaker 2: not speak too or for these people that deny they exist,
- 34:59Speaker 2: it is unsustainable.
- 35:01Speaker 3: I mean, what's your reaction to that?
- 35:03Speaker 2: Because you can tell there are many in the media
- 35:06Speaker 2: who are shocked by this outpouring of grief, the fact
- 35:10Speaker 2: that people have traveled from around the country to be here,
- 35:13Speaker 2: that were lining up overnight. By four am in the dark,
- 35:17Speaker 2: there were seemed like tens of thousands waiting to enter
- 35:20Speaker 2: the stadium. The crowd was huge, and so many in
- 35:24Speaker 2: the media are completely blindsided by that.
- 35:28Speaker 15: Yeah, because look, you know, it's so interesting, the outrage
- 35:32Speaker 15: we saw to Jimmy Kimmel's firing as compared to the
- 35:36Speaker 15: outrage of an assassination of a cultural and political figure.
- 35:42Speaker 15: It's incredible to me. This is what the left has done.
- 35:44Speaker 15: It doesn't matter. There are more outrage about a hack
- 35:48Speaker 15: comedian who had no audience right than truly a significant
- 35:54Speaker 15: turning point in our culture. An assassination of a political
- 36:00Speaker 15: did not draw as much higher from the left as
- 36:02Speaker 15: a firing of Jimmy Kenner.
- 36:04Speaker 2: And they didn't mention it at the Emmys. Did they
- 36:07Speaker 2: not even a passing reference to this significant event?
- 36:11Speaker 1: Do you think that was possible?
- 36:13Speaker 2: I mean, you would think when I started saying major
- 36:17Speaker 2: sporting leagues having a moment silence, doing some of them
- 36:22Speaker 2: fairly lengthy tributes, I thought maybe the culture has shifted
- 36:26Speaker 2: and that would be reflected in Hollywood.
- 36:28Speaker 3: But no, Hollywood is running.
- 36:31Speaker 15: Not only that, Hollywood demonized people in Hollywood who said
- 36:35Speaker 15: anything nice about Charlie Kirk. Not that they who supported
- 36:38Speaker 15: Charlie Kirk, God forbid, but people who said, like a
- 36:41Speaker 15: killing a Charlie Kirk is a terrible thing. Like Christin Chenoworth.
- 36:45Speaker 15: She got roasted by Hollywood for showing empathy it's.
- 36:49Speaker 3: A six sick place.
- 36:51Speaker 2: Now the left, the Democrats are suddenly passionate about free speech,
- 36:55Speaker 2: or what they think is free speech. Jimmy Kimmel's a
- 36:58Speaker 2: terrible program. Rating program has been pulled off air and army.
- 37:04Speaker 3: It's incredible.
- 37:04Speaker 2: They're trying to make Jimmy Kimmel the victim of this
- 37:08Speaker 2: entire catastrophe.
- 37:10Speaker 3: Somehow, here's the victim.
- 37:12Speaker 2: Here's the one who's being targeted and persecuted, as opposed
- 37:17Speaker 2: to the man who's had his life taken from him,
- 37:20Speaker 2: and he was persecuted with the Biden DOJ they were investigating.
- 37:24Speaker 2: Turning point in personally, he spoke about his sphere of
- 37:27Speaker 2: ending up in federal prison if a Democrat was elected president.
- 37:33Speaker 3: Again. Look, I'm not.
- 37:34Speaker 15: A fan of the government getting involved as something, Agenmikim.
- 37:38Speaker 15: I don't think it's a good idea. I think that
- 37:40Speaker 15: that's a bad president. And I promise you your boomerang
- 37:43Speaker 15: what there's a democratic president, but.
- 37:45Speaker 3: It already has.
- 37:46Speaker 2: This is the point that Republicans make those sort of
- 37:48Speaker 2: arguments ring a little hollow because the Democrats go out
- 37:53Speaker 2: of their way to silent their political opponents.
- 37:57Speaker 3: So I don't know.
- 37:59Speaker 2: I think perhaps if there's a they get a taste
- 38:01Speaker 2: of their own medicine, if they're held to their own standards.
- 38:04Speaker 1: I don't like it.
- 38:05Speaker 2: Maybe they'll back away from this sort of cancel culture.
- 38:08Speaker 15: No, no, I don't like it from either side.
- 38:09Speaker 1: I don't think it's healthy.
- 38:12Speaker 3: He's lost seventy percent of his He should have been sad.
- 38:15Speaker 3: He should have been.
- 38:16Speaker 15: I have no problem being firing, just like the government intervention.
- 38:20Speaker 3: Of course, we don't want government intervention.
- 38:21Speaker 2: But again, from what we've seen reported, he not only
- 38:26Speaker 2: said something that was verifiably a lie, and he knew
- 38:30Speaker 2: it was a lie, he still said it.
- 38:32Speaker 3: He had no intention of backing away.
- 38:34Speaker 2: Like Elano Omar, he wanted to go back on the
- 38:37Speaker 2: next program and double down on those attacks. And in
- 38:41Speaker 2: that scenario, I mean, what could ABC do. They've just
- 38:44Speaker 2: had a massive payout. Unless they're just happy writing checks
- 38:48Speaker 2: endlessly that to take some action.
- 38:51Speaker 15: We're in the media business. We know they're not willing
- 38:53Speaker 15: to rate. They're they're happy to rate endless checks. Look,
- 38:55Speaker 15: they were looking for excuse, there's no question about it.
- 38:58Speaker 15: I mean you so happen to Colbert? Yeah, it was
- 39:00Speaker 15: a SAT Late night. Just isn't driving revenue the cars
- 39:03Speaker 15: or out of control. Jimmy Keiller makes a huge amount
- 39:06Speaker 15: of money relative the amount of audience they bring in.
- 39:09Speaker 1: Oh, it's not worth it.
- 39:10Speaker 15: They were looking for a reason and he gave it.
- 39:12Speaker 2: Matts ain't math seeing as the kids say, it makes
- 39:15Speaker 2: no sense?
- 39:17Speaker 7: Is that what they say?
- 39:18Speaker 1: They do say that.
- 39:19Speaker 3: Something like that.
- 39:20Speaker 2: How can he earn that salary with that pitiful audience?
- 39:24Speaker 2: I mean, what sort of a business ra ABC running.
- 39:26Speaker 2: If I was a shareholder, I'd be asking a few questions.
- 39:28Speaker 2: I can tell you about that in Horowitz. Thank you
- 39:30Speaker 2: so much for your time, Thanks for coming into coming
- 39:34Speaker 2: up more on Erica Kirk's astonishing act of grace.
- 39:38Speaker 4: C J.
- 39:38Speaker 3: Pearson joins me.
- 39:39Speaker 2: Next, we've just finished Charlie Kirk's memorial service. I've never
- 39:50Speaker 2: experienced anything like that. I doubt over will again. I'm
- 39:53Speaker 2: here with CJ Pearson. CJ, what did you take away
- 39:58Speaker 2: from today?
- 39:59Speaker 8: I think my take away today is that we are
- 40:00Speaker 8: not just witnessing a funeral here, we're missing a revival.
- 40:03Speaker 8: And I got to say that this is such a
- 40:05Speaker 8: beautiful thing to see.
- 40:06Speaker 1: But when JD.
- 40:07Speaker 8: Van said that it is time for us to put
- 40:08Speaker 8: on the armor of God and to get back to work.
- 40:10Speaker 8: That resonated with me, and I think it resonated with
- 40:13Speaker 8: the tens of thousands of people who.
- 40:14Speaker 1: Packed into this arena. Actually not just arena, a stadium.
- 40:18Speaker 8: This was Taylor Swift numbers that came out here for
- 40:21Speaker 8: Charlie Kirk came out here for his message of loving
- 40:23Speaker 8: your God, loving your country, loving your family. That assassin
- 40:27Speaker 8: tried to end this movement with a bullet, but instead
- 40:30Speaker 8: what he did is he led it to grow in
- 40:32Speaker 8: a way which we've never seen before.
- 40:33Speaker 1: And I don't think we ever could have predicted.
- 40:36Speaker 2: Erica Kirk was just so powerful, so full of grace.
- 40:41Speaker 2: I don't think there was a dry eye in the
- 40:43Speaker 2: house here when she finished her speech. Where do you
- 40:48Speaker 2: think that strength comes from to stand there less than
- 40:51Speaker 2: two weeks after her husband was torn from her and
- 40:54Speaker 2: to forgive his killer.
- 40:57Speaker 1: It comes from God. There's no other explanation for it.
- 41:00Speaker 8: To sit there, to stand on that stage and to
- 41:02Speaker 8: say I forgive you, after she has gone through unspeakable pain,
- 41:08Speaker 8: unspeakable hurt, unspeakable tragedy, and for her to have the
- 41:12Speaker 8: power and the courage and the bravery to say those words,
- 41:15Speaker 8: it's almost inhuman right. It's supernatural in a sense, but
- 41:19Speaker 8: it's not supernatural. We know where it comes from. It
- 41:21Speaker 8: comes directly from God. And I've got to say that
- 41:24Speaker 8: she is a woman made for such a time as this.
- 41:26Speaker 8: If there's anyone that can carry on the torch and
- 41:28Speaker 8: the legacy of Charlie Kirk as her And you know,
- 41:31Speaker 8: as a twenty three year old young man who's single,
- 41:33Speaker 8: you know, oftentimes I would talk to Charlie and say, CJ,
- 41:35Speaker 8: why are you getting married?
- 41:36Speaker 1: And I wasn't in a rush.
- 41:37Speaker 8: But when I think about the type of woman that
- 41:39Speaker 8: I one day hope to marry, it's one that can
- 41:42Speaker 8: stand there with such resolute strength in the face of
- 41:45Speaker 8: adversity and keep going and keep fighting.
- 41:46Speaker 1: And that's exactly what Erica Kirk is doing.
- 41:48Speaker 2: And Erica Kirk had a message for young men in America,
- 41:52Speaker 2: young men across the world, to all the.
- 41:54Speaker 5: Men watching around the world, except Charlie's challenge and embrace
- 42:02Speaker 5: true manhood.
- 42:06Speaker 7: Be strong and courageous for your families, Love.
- 42:13Speaker 5: Your wives and lead them, love your children and protect them.
- 42:22Speaker 7: Be the spiritual head of your home. But please be
- 42:30Speaker 7: a leader worth following.
- 42:33Speaker 3: Tell me about that message.
- 42:34Speaker 2: It's one that Charlie not only preached, but he lived it.
- 42:37Speaker 2: He wanted his friends to live it. What did that
- 42:41Speaker 2: mean to him?
- 42:41Speaker 1: It was a call to action.
- 42:43Speaker 8: It was a call to action for us to reject
- 42:44Speaker 8: the narrative that comes from the left that we should
- 42:47Speaker 8: be demonized for wanting to be protectors, wanting to be providers,
- 42:50Speaker 8: wanting to be the men and the role and play
- 42:52Speaker 8: the role of men that God calls us to play.
- 42:55Speaker 8: And so I take it again as a call to action.
- 42:57Speaker 8: I think it's not for us to all get to work.
- 42:59Speaker 8: It's not for us to dig deeper, to fight harder,
- 43:02Speaker 8: and to leave it all out on the field.
- 43:04Speaker 1: For Charlie and for his legacy.
- 43:05Speaker 2: And when she spoke about embracing real manhood, what does
- 43:11Speaker 2: that mean to you?
- 43:12Speaker 8: I think exactly what you said, you took the words
- 43:13Speaker 8: out of my mouth, you know, not treating you know,
- 43:15Speaker 8: women as our servants, but as our partners, being one flesh.
- 43:19Speaker 8: And to realize that we were all in this together.
- 43:21Speaker 8: We're all fighting for a more perfect union, a better
- 43:23Speaker 8: America that serves us better and truer. And again, it
- 43:28Speaker 8: was a call to action to be who God calls
- 43:31Speaker 8: us to be, and if more of us reflected that promise,
- 43:35Speaker 8: reflected that cold action, the world would be a better
- 43:38Speaker 8: place now.
- 43:40Speaker 2: The service from start to finish was so spiritual. Charlie's
- 43:46Speaker 2: faith was the central point throughout. It was about family,
- 43:51Speaker 2: it was about freedom, country, but at the foremost it
- 43:55Speaker 2: was about faith.
- 43:56Speaker 8: You're right, and I think that's what you know. Of course,
- 43:59Speaker 8: I think resonated with so many people in this room.
- 44:01Speaker 8: And while you're seeing here in America churches being full,
- 44:04Speaker 8: parking lots outside of them being full, because he didn't
- 44:06Speaker 8: only just lead people to truth, he led them to God,
- 44:09Speaker 8: because he realizes that all of truth derives from the
- 44:12Speaker 8: most ultimate truth, the word of our Holy Father. And
- 44:15Speaker 8: so I've got to say, it's incredible to see so
- 44:17Speaker 8: many young people flocking towards tradition. We've already seen it.
- 44:20Speaker 8: We've seen study after study saying that young men are
- 44:22Speaker 8: running back to church.
- 44:23Speaker 1: And I got to say that is.
- 44:25Speaker 8: A good fortune for America, good fortune for the West,
- 44:27Speaker 8: and I'm excited to see where this movement goes now.
- 44:30Speaker 2: Jd Vance mentioned that he loves his faith, his relationship
- 44:34Speaker 2: with God, but he's never been really comfortable talking about it.
- 44:39Speaker 2: But in the past two weeks he said he's publicly
- 44:41Speaker 2: spoken about God more than he has possibly throughout his
- 44:46Speaker 2: entire adult life.
- 44:47Speaker 3: Do you think that's.
- 44:48Speaker 2: Going to become a trend with prominent people not being
- 44:53Speaker 2: ashamed to say what their faith is and what it
- 44:57Speaker 2: means to them.
- 44:57Speaker 8: You know that story resonated with me because I can
- 45:00Speaker 8: relate to it a lot, and I think that it
- 45:02Speaker 8: is going to be an increasing trend. And the reason
- 45:05Speaker 8: being is that when things like this happen, the only
- 45:07Speaker 8: thing that can really get you through it is God.
- 45:09Speaker 8: Because it doesn't make any sense why such an evil
- 45:11Speaker 8: person would put a bullet inside of Charlie Kirk simply
- 45:16Speaker 8: for having different opinions than he did, for standing for God,
- 45:20Speaker 8: for country and for faith and all of those things.
- 45:23Speaker 8: Why should such an evil happen? But it's about what
- 45:26Speaker 8: came after that this would not have been possible. People
- 45:29Speaker 8: would not be flocking towards the truth, flocking towards church
- 45:32Speaker 8: if he had not made the sacrifice of his life
- 45:34Speaker 8: that he did.
- 45:35Speaker 1: And it's a.
- 45:36Speaker 8: Hard thing to conceptualize, but it's one of which that
- 45:40Speaker 8: if you believe in God and you have faith, it slowly.
- 45:42Speaker 1: Starts to make sense. And so I think it will
- 45:44Speaker 1: become more of a trend now.
- 45:46Speaker 3: Charlie was called a joyful warrior.
- 45:48Speaker 2: I always had a smile on his face, He never
- 45:51Speaker 2: lost his temper, He was always kind. And today we
- 45:55Speaker 2: saw some footage we haven't seen before of his final minutes,
- 45:59Speaker 2: final hour when he went into that university and he
- 46:02Speaker 2: was so happy, so full of life, and so full
- 46:06Speaker 2: of positivity. It really was so heartbreaking to say that,
- 46:11Speaker 2: and then to know what followed.
- 46:13Speaker 1: It was absolutely devastating.
- 46:14Speaker 8: And every single day he laced up his boots and
- 46:17Speaker 8: he went out there on the battlefield of ideas and
- 46:20Speaker 8: fought for everything that he believed in. And that passion,
- 46:23Speaker 8: that energy should be what fuels us in the days ahead,
- 46:25Speaker 8: in the months ahead, and the years ahead. We've got
- 46:27Speaker 8: to fight like Charlie. And we've got to fight for
- 46:29Speaker 8: Charlie because his legacy should not die with him. It
- 46:32Speaker 8: should be alive. It is alive.
- 46:34Speaker 1: We see it in this room here today.
- 46:35Speaker 8: One hundred thousand people that did more numbers than Elvis Presley.
- 46:39Speaker 8: Folks are saying right, and I gotta say again, like
- 46:43Speaker 8: you said, there was no dry eye in this room
- 46:47Speaker 8: after hearing all those incredible speakers and there was a
- 46:49Speaker 8: very very obvious reason for that.
- 46:51Speaker 2: New York Post is reporting there were two hundred thousand
- 46:54Speaker 2: people in and around the stadium, so the crowd numbers
- 46:57Speaker 2: are completely incredible.
- 47:00Speaker 3: But we do have the left.
- 47:01Speaker 2: We have mainstream Democrats saying that Charlie was a hateful
- 47:07Speaker 2: figure shouldn't be celebrated. Ilinomar, I think said he's able
- 47:10Speaker 2: to be a footnote in history. I mean, it's such
- 47:13Speaker 2: a callous remark to make at any time, but particularly now.
- 47:17Speaker 3: What's your response to her and others like it?
- 47:20Speaker 1: I think it's disgusting.
- 47:21Speaker 8: But I think when Maya Angelu said, when Shulman shows
- 47:23Speaker 8: you who they are, believe in the first time, and
- 47:25Speaker 8: I think the left has shown us exactly who they are.
- 47:27Speaker 8: You know, when their heroes die, what do conservatives do?
- 47:30Speaker 8: We pray for them? When our heroes die, what do
- 47:32Speaker 8: they do? They dance on their graves. And it's a sick,
- 47:35Speaker 8: sick thing that I think that we can only do
- 47:37Speaker 8: is pray for healing for them. What I'll say is
- 47:40Speaker 8: what I love to have seen after this is that
- 47:43Speaker 8: we didn't go and burn down buildings, We didn't go
- 47:45Speaker 8: and riot.
- 47:45Speaker 1: What did we do? We let up candles and we
- 47:48Speaker 1: prayed together.
- 47:50Speaker 8: And I think that is what differentiates us from the
- 47:53Speaker 8: left and the right, simple.
- 47:54Speaker 2: As that it's all good to talk about unity and
- 47:57Speaker 2: coming together, but how realistic is that when you've got
- 48:00Speaker 2: a certain percentage of the country that thinks violence is
- 48:04Speaker 2: a reasonable response to disagreement.
- 48:07Speaker 1: Not just a certain percentage.
- 48:08Speaker 8: According to a you gov poll, nearly fifty percent of
- 48:10Speaker 8: those who identify as liberal belie poltical violence is at
- 48:13Speaker 8: times justified.
- 48:14Speaker 1: You know, how can we unify with these people? You know?
- 48:17Speaker 8: I think that what we need to do is we
- 48:18Speaker 8: need to again remind ourselves of what American actually being.
- 48:23Speaker 1: You know what that actually means, and it means.
- 48:24Speaker 8: Having an appreciation for free speech, the discourse, and the
- 48:27Speaker 8: exchange of ideas.
- 48:28Speaker 1: And we've got to get back.
- 48:29Speaker 8: To that for the sake of our country, for the
- 48:32Speaker 8: survival of our country, if to get back to it.
- 48:34Speaker 8: But as you said, I'm deeply troubled by those stats.
- 48:36Speaker 8: I'm deeply troubled by those polling numbers. And hopefully we
- 48:39Speaker 8: can figure out a way to write this shit before
- 48:41Speaker 8: it's two eight.
- 48:42Speaker 3: The revival started today.
- 48:44Speaker 1: It started today, and it's not ending.
- 48:46Speaker 3: Cig I Pierson, thank you for a time, and that's
- 48:49Speaker 3: it from May tonight.
- 48:50Speaker 2: I'll see you at eleven tomorrow night from Phoenix, Arizona.
- 48:53Speaker 3: Coming up next, it's Newsnight.
