- 0:06Hello. What's your least favorite scary
- 0:08movie? We're rolling, Jesse.
- 0:12Let's go. I've got your number, Cucumber.
- 0:19Welcome. What's your least favorite scary
- 0:21movie? The podcaster.
- 0:23We talk about the kids, about the ugly and the absurd and all
- 0:27of our favorite. And least favorite movies
- 0:29because we believe every horror movie rightfully has its fan
- 0:31base even. If we don't always get.
- 0:33It my name is Travis. My name's Jesse.
- 0:35My stomach's name is also Jesse. Telling her stomach's talking up
- 0:40a storm in here today. That's why we're all giggly
- 0:42right now. We're back with another live on
- 0:46Cut, a mostly undrawn episode of To Be or Not To Be, our monthly
- 0:51bonus series where we look through free streaming services
- 0:54to find movies that maybe don't get enough mainstream love.
- 0:58Yeah, it was my month to pick and I went with a weird little
- 1:03movie I decided to watch drive through this week.
- 1:06So he. Got out of terror fire 3 and he
- 1:09was like I think we need some more clowns.
- 1:11Hey, to be fair, I had this one picked out like days in advance,
- 1:15although we I knew we were going days in advance, but this
- 1:18movie's been. We had those movie tickets days
- 1:21in advance. This movie's been on my radar
- 1:23for a long time now. Years actually.
- 1:25I've known about this, but I just never watched it.
- 1:27So the opportunity presented itself.
- 1:29I saw it on Tubi, so here we. Go.
- 1:31Here we are. All right.
- 1:33Do you want to announce anything before we?
- 1:35Yes, this Tuesday, come listen to us over once again on TV
- 1:41Trivia Pod. Yeah, for the first time.
- 1:43We've been on that show three Times Now, and this is our third
- 1:46time and we're finally doing a horror movie.
- 1:48Yeah, we're doing Chucky. Yeah, it is child's play.
- 1:51So go listen. Do we keep up our ass kicking
- 1:55spree? Streak.
- 1:58Streak is the word I'm looking for.
- 1:59Yeah, the fun thing is I don't remember because we record those
- 2:03so long ago that I don't even remember how they go so.
- 2:06Yeah, he, he, we recorded it with him a while back.
- 2:10Yeah, it's been a long time, but he's yeah, he's releasing it
- 2:14now. So if you want to check that
- 2:15out, go do that. It's a fun episode.
- 2:17That whole show is actually really fun.
- 2:18It's real easy listening. Like if you're at work and
- 2:20you're like, man, I feel like listening to some trivia.
- 2:22Yeah, it's a fun time. I like it.
- 2:24Yeah, so. Yeah, just go check that out.
- 2:28Yeah. OK.
- 2:28OK. That's it.
- 2:30All right. So to be here, not to be today,
- 2:32no poll. So I think we just launched
- 2:34right on into this get. Right into.
- 2:36This drive right on into the drive through.
- 2:38OK. Yeah, she liked everything.
- 2:39That was great. Yeah.
- 2:42OK, I'm. Also gonna apologize now because
- 2:44I got my water bottle and it's noisy and normally when I have
- 2:47it we cut out the sound. Just so you might.
- 2:50I'm thirsty. Do you remember how much
- 2:52Gatorade I drank yesterday? Get it and get you a big gulp.
- 2:58OK, I did. I did some live edits right
- 3:00there. I paused it so she can get a big
- 3:02sip in. Yeah, so let me.
- 3:04Give me give me a give me like a old like finger wave thing if
- 3:08you need to do that. Now I tried that one time and
- 3:10you didn't get what I was doing. Do something like we'll we'll
- 3:14figure this out. Y'all don't have to listen to
- 3:16that shit. Y'all don't deserve that.
- 3:18It's just the sound of a wider bottle I.
- 3:20Don't care, OK? It's like eating.
- 3:22Nobody enjoys that shit. OK OK, so drive through.
- 3:28Drive through. Released March 1st, 2007 on DVD.
- 3:33Straight to DVD. We watched it on TV.
- 3:35It was written by Brendan Kallis and Shane Kuhn.
- 3:39Directed by Brendan Kallis and Shane Kuhn.
- 3:42Music by Ralph Frickerman or Reickerman.
- 3:45Special effects by Mike Tristano, Torrance Hall and
- 3:49Anthony Fung. OK Starring Leighton Meester as
- 3:53Mackenzie Carpenter. Nicholas Dagasto as Fisher Kent.
- 3:58Yes, Melora Hardin as Jan. I mean Marsha Carpenter.
- 4:02What happened to gold? What happened to gold?
- 4:07No, no steam. Is it Goldstein?
- 4:11No Jan Levinson Gold. Gold.
- 4:13What happened to gold? Yes, well, apparently some bad
- 4:17stuff. According to this movie, Gold
- 4:20may have been a murderer. We don't know.
- 4:23We will find out though, I suppose.
- 4:25We will. We'll look Gladini as Detective
- 4:27Chase, Larry Joe Campbell as Detective Crockers.
- 4:30Or crackers depending on thank you desk.
- 4:33And then de la Plante as Horny the Clown and Archie Benjamin.
- 4:38I can't believe he just left off Joe Goldberg himself.
- 4:42Who's that? Penn Badgley.
- 4:44He's another big mid Aught's name.
- 4:47Which guy was? He the one with the lip ring.
- 4:51Oh, the friends. The friends didn't get enough
- 4:53screen time for me to want to dig through.
- 4:55It I know it was just kind of a big name.
- 4:57Yeah, so there was some other people too that I left off.
- 4:59Yeah, yeah, there's there are a lot of names in this movie.
- 5:02Yeah, see, this is another fun one that had like some really
- 5:06interesting casting decisions, especially for the era.
- 5:09So we have for the Office fans out there, Maura Harden is Jan
- 5:14from the Office and Nicholas De Gasto is.
- 5:18That one. Night one night.
- 5:21Everything all right, all right, I can't get that note.
- 5:26He always falls flat for me. He's he's.
- 5:29Also in Final Destination Five, yeah.
- 5:31Yeah, yeah. So we got some weird casting
- 5:33decisions here. Yeah.
- 5:34All right, so time for our favorite game on the show.
- 5:37Budget or budget? I don't know man cuz it doesn't
- 5:43look like it's a high budget movie but those are a lot like
- 5:47those names were big back then but also it went straight to
- 5:50DVD. I don't know if you paid
- 5:51attention to the opening credits, but it's Lionsgate that
- 5:54did it. I'm gonna go high bug Ted.
- 5:59High bug, Ted? OK, no, very low bug, Ted.
- 6:04This is $500,000. God bless.
- 6:07It Yeah, this is a cheap movie. Yeah, I am surprised.
- 6:12Yeah, yeah. I mean I.
- 6:15Like I'm not surprised based on like the ultimate like end
- 6:19product, but really more just like how many like this movie
- 6:23well known faces there are in this.
- 6:25This movie is one of those ones where it's like, yeah, I think
- 6:28the production's OK, but at the same time, it's in such a weird
- 6:32era where like, things were almost intentionally shitty
- 6:36looking to where I'm like, I don't know if that was intended
- 6:40or if that was just not doing a good job.
- 6:44But yeah, it's, you know, it it, it has a look.
- 6:47It goes with it, rocks it. Yeah.
- 6:50OK. I appreciate appreciated their
- 6:52vague attempts to avoid having to pay any kind of copyright
- 6:55fees to anything. Oh, man, yeah, you could tell
- 6:59they did some big we we caught some repurposing in this movie
- 7:02all over the place. Yeah, there is definitely a
- 7:05Woody doll. A Woody doll turned into a horny
- 7:07the clown doll. I saw a a McDonald's Happy Mill.
- 7:11Yeah, listen to a Happy Meal here in the movie.
- 7:14And the art department they had, I feel like they had to have
- 7:17loved that, like it was a fun challenge for them.
- 7:20Yeah, I mean, and this seems like some good crafting right
- 7:22there. Yeah, I would have fun with
- 7:24that. OK, so I don't have any of the
- 7:26gross information since it was straight to DVD.
- 7:29I couldn't find any sales figures, but the IMDb score is
- 7:324.5. OK, Yeah, so I looked at the
- 7:39year 2007 in horror. God bless you.
- 7:42And I found I to me an interesting theme.
- 7:46OK, the very busy year of Tobin Bell.
- 7:50I've got 3 movies featuring Tobin Bell.
- 7:53In the year. I don't know why.
- 7:56For Whom the Tobin Bell tolls. The Tobin Bell.
- 8:04Tobins. Tobins God, we're we're so.
- 8:09Stupid. Yeah, let's let's quit while
- 8:10we're ahead. It's.
- 8:11Too. It's too late.
- 8:12OK. So yeah, I don't know.
- 8:14I thought it was interesting that he was in so many horror
- 8:16movies here. I was originally looking for
- 8:18other weird TV characters that had the movies here since we had
- 8:23Jam and Jam Jan and Hunter in this.
- 8:26So OK. And Leighton Meester and Penn
- 8:28Badgley. Yeah, yeah, there was a There's
- 8:31just so many weird people in this cast here.
- 8:33So yeah, when the when those opening credits are rolling, I
- 8:35was like, really? Yeah, I know.
- 8:37Yeah. OK, so the first movie is The
- 8:40Haunting Hour. Don't think about it.
- 8:43Is that that's the full name. That's the full name.
- 8:45It's a Goosebumps adaptation. Oh, the haunting hour.
- 8:50OK, OK, OK. So that released September 4th,
- 8:542007 with a $3,000,000 budget. I could see Tobin.
- 8:58Bell and Goosebumps and a Goosebumps yeah, I could see it
- 9:02too special. It'd be like the old man that
- 9:05you would be wary of but but. Being a good guy?
- 9:08Yeah, exactly. Yeah.
- 9:09Exactly. Yeah.
- 9:10OK, so $3,000,000 budget, don't have the gross IMDb 5.7.
- 9:16Another funny thing about that, I saw the cast on there, it has
- 9:19Haley Joel Osment's little sister in the lead role.
- 9:23He's got a sister. Yeah.
- 9:25Poor kid. Poor kid.
- 9:27Which one? Like the sister, because we're
- 9:29shocked that she even exists. And yeah, she apparently also
- 9:33has an acting career. Hey, she acted with Tobin Bell.
- 9:35She's doing OK. Yeah, she she's fine.
- 9:39She's all right. She doesn't need the smoke.
- 9:41He took it all. OK.
- 9:43OK Next up Buried Alive that released October 23rd 2007.
- 9:50I don't really know much about this movie here sounds.
- 9:52Vaguely familiar, yeah. It didn't have a budget.
- 9:56I also, because we don't get to point this out a lot, I love
- 9:59that. That's one of those words that
- 10:01your Eastern Kentucky comes out real hard on.
- 10:04Buried, buried. I don't know why I mean, but
- 10:06that's the that's how you say it, just how it has happened to
- 10:10me. That's how it's supposed to be
- 10:11subbed. All right, So that, yeah, I
- 10:14don't have the budget worldwide gross, weirdly. 1.5 million.
- 10:19I don't know, I feel like that was like some revisionist
- 10:21history right there. Like totally made a million a
- 10:24half dollars here. Yeah, definitely big success.
- 10:27Yeah. IMDb score reflects otherwise.
- 10:293.9 out of 10. Hey, man, to get the bad
- 10:34ratings, it's got to be seen, you know?
- 10:36That's true. That's true.
- 10:38And I I could, but you know, ratings don't really mean
- 10:41anything to me. It's just a suggestion of like
- 10:43what some people think. Yeah, what was the fucking movie
- 10:47that we watched? Oh, the new, the new Justin Long
- 10:50movie, the spin the bottle. It's got like a three-point
- 10:53something on an IMDVI. Don't care.
- 10:54I love that shit. We're we are definitely talking
- 10:57about it at some point on the pocket, especially because we
- 10:59own it now because that's the only way to watch it is to buy
- 11:02it. We'll do our like little we.
- 11:05It's already well into October at this point, but we'll be
- 11:08doing some of our horror movie we'll do.
- 11:10A little recap. Catch up on the main episode
- 11:14this week. Yeah.
- 11:15Yeah, OK, great. Final movie Decoys 2.
- 11:20Alien Seduction. Oh man, children getting a
- 11:23little sexy. Did he get into a little porno
- 11:26movie here? Sexy.
- 11:28I got curious. I looked at the parent guide.
- 11:30I was like how much fucking goes on in this movie Here there's
- 11:34like 1 instance of like boobies but this is not as hardcore as
- 11:38it sounds. This sounds like a straight up
- 11:40porno right here. Can.
- 11:41You have one instance of boobies and it's called alien seduction.
- 11:45Maybe that's all that seduced and that was needed.
- 11:47That's true, Yeah. Is that would work on plenty of
- 11:50people. Yeah, to open seldom boobies.
- 11:52Is it cool I'm. Seduced.
- 11:55OK, that released March 6th, 2007 $2,000,000 budget.
- 12:00OK, worldwide gross I don't know, but the IMDb 4.6.
- 12:04OK, yeah, OK. Yeah, so it did better than
- 12:08buried alive. Yeah, it did.
- 12:09Yeah. I mean, it had boobies and it
- 12:11had seduction, So you know, the name alone, people are like,
- 12:14yeah, yeah, all right. And like, they're rating it
- 12:16like, you know, at 5 at least. Just based off the time.
- 12:19Yeah. Yeah.
- 12:20OK. I got sag lines.
- 12:22Yay. One on the poster.
- 12:24Hungry for a killer meal. No, it's OK.
- 12:28Yeah. Fast food kills.
- 12:33Yeah, that honestly, that's really only funny when you also
- 12:36realize that Morgan Spurlock is in this movie as a worker at
- 12:40Helloburger. That's true.
- 12:41Yeah. That's a good little inside bit
- 12:44right there. The final one at Hellaburger.
- 12:48It won't be the fast food that kills you, but you'll wish it
- 12:51did. That's better.
- 12:54That's a little better. Yeah, that's on the right track.
- 12:56I'm just unfortunately I'm picturing like dying on the
- 12:58toilet. Like, metaphorically.
- 13:01Yeah. I mean, yeah, I mean, I guess
- 13:03that could be a thing. Yeah.
- 13:06OK. OK, so we don't do fun facts
- 13:08here, but I guess we do. It's a.
- 13:10Bonus episode. Yeah, it's a bonus.
- 13:12It's a little Fribe's I'll. Explain why I chose this one.
- 13:15Yes, please do. So I've seen a lot of discussion
- 13:20of this movie online sometimes. So like, it's no secret I love
- 13:24clown horror movies. And what?
- 13:26Yeah, that's one of my favorite little sub genres of horror.
- 13:29No, this is about you. I know, I know this.
- 13:31Is brand new information. Easy.
- 13:34Now come on, give me a, give me like a little easy time.
- 13:38As I look behind you and see all of these.
- 13:40Paintings of clowns. We got like too much clown shit
- 13:44in here. Actually, it's a little
- 13:45alarming. I like everywhere I look I see
- 13:48some every. Holy shit, that's not even an
- 13:50exaggeration. Yeah, I know.
- 13:51It's like a literate, like, I don't think, I don't think our
- 13:53friend Kendra would ever. Even hate this.
- 13:55Like she wouldn't come near the house probably.
- 13:58Especially during now in so yeah, I every now and then I'll
- 14:02go online and I'll look up clown movies, like suggestions, you
- 14:06know, people tell me what she's seen out there and I've seen
- 14:08some discussion about this movie and usually people are like, Oh
- 14:11yeah, that's a fun stupid movie. You know mid 2000 slash, you
- 14:14know what you're gonna get so I don't know I was feeling I was
- 14:18like, all right, I want to watch it.
- 14:19I've always wanted to watch it. I finally saw it on streaming
- 14:22for the first time Toby might pick for Toby month Fuck it.
- 14:26Let's do it then yeah that's a good opportunity for it right
- 14:28there. So here we are.
- 14:30We're we watched it, and now we're about to talk about.
- 14:33It all right. All right, so you get to kick it
- 14:35off all right, but. Just I'm going to get some more
- 14:37water. Oh OK, so I think this movie
- 14:42honestly like for the 2007 of it all, it still managed to have
- 14:46some really good humor, like the whole chase and crockers, the
- 14:51cheese and crackers bit. That was it made me laugh every
- 14:54single time. OK, the the fuck?
- 15:01What was it the the the him arguing about highway to hell?
- 15:06And he was. So yeah.
- 15:08That it was sticks, like, yeah, yeah, like little moments like
- 15:12that. They were just so stupid and
- 15:14like, I don't know, like silly, but I enjoyed them.
- 15:21Yeah. Like, I think, you know, And
- 15:24like, it wasn't, it wasn't a bad story.
- 15:26It's definitely something we've seen before.
- 15:28But I say it all the time. There are only so many stories
- 15:30in the world. And if you can tell it in an
- 15:31interesting way, I think that's what matters.
- 15:33So yeah. It definitely took some
- 15:35inspiration from a lot of things here.
- 15:38Especially like Nightmare on Elm Street.
- 15:40That's one of the biggest ones I saw people calling it out for
- 15:43online cuz it just straight up does that like somebody burning
- 15:47to death, taking out the kids of the people that did it.
- 15:50Yeah, it's straight up Friday the 13th.
- 15:52Yeah. OK.
- 15:54So is that if you're good? Those yeah, that's that's my
- 15:57main good. I'd like it was fun enough to
- 15:59watch, it didn't take itself too seriously and.
- 16:02That's my thing. I can always, I can always get
- 16:04down with that. Yeah, I appreciated it not
- 16:07taking itself seriously. I thought it had some nice
- 16:11moments of humor here and there. Sometimes, like a lot of the
- 16:14times, the jokes fell flat for me, but moments like the opening
- 16:18scene I really enjoyed because that just felt like I felt like
- 16:23people from Florida. And I'm sorry, Floridians, but.
- 16:27Like, yeah, it was very Jacksonville esque.
- 16:30It reminded me of the Jamie Kennedy movie Malibu's most.
- 16:34Wanted God. You know what I'm?
- 16:36Talking about. Yeah, yeah, it.
- 16:38Reminded me of those characters there and seeing them in a
- 16:41horror movie. I was like, oh, this is kind of
- 16:43fun. I'm kind of sad we didn't get
- 16:45them more, but then again, I feel like that type of character
- 16:49could have overstayed its welcome.
- 16:50Yeah. Oh, can I also add that they did
- 16:53outtakes and like, silly behind the scenes at the credits?
- 16:57Yeah, I love it. I love it when movies do that.
- 16:59And we happen to watch the final girls after that.
- 17:01And they also did that. And we were just like, why don't
- 17:03more movies do this? Yeah, it's fun.
- 17:06OK. So yeah, I like that part of it.
- 17:08I like how it just kind of has fun with itself.
- 17:13Obviously killer clowns are great.
- 17:15The design for this one is kind of it reminded me a lot of
- 17:19Twisted Metal. Really.
- 17:21Oh yeah, I can see that. And this is kind of that era of
- 17:24Twisted Metal, especially like Twisted Metal Black, which was
- 17:27the really dark one that they did sweet tooth, like a big
- 17:31serial killer, like slasher villain type guy.
- 17:34So it's like they kind of just like were inspired by him and
- 17:37Nightmare on Elm Street and they're like fuck it, let's just
- 17:39like, let's make that movie. Yeah.
- 17:41So yeah, I mean it. It's a movie of its time, for
- 17:46better or worse, like I always say about the 2000s movies.
- 17:49And, you know, that was some of the good with it, at least.
- 17:52Yeah. All right, So what's the bad?
- 17:56OK, we'll save that for ugly. Actually the bad I think.
- 18:01Like it just had some some weird cuts at the wrong times like.
- 18:10I don't know, like it felt jarring.
- 18:12Yeah, it would hop places. Yeah.
- 18:15It like time was not linear in this movie.
- 18:20It didn't feel like. I don't know what happened.
- 18:21Like it jumped around. I saw somebody, the timeline.
- 18:24Made absolutely no sense because it tomorrow was Mackenzie's
- 18:27birthday. Throughout the whole movie and
- 18:29the. Whole multiple.
- 18:30Days, yeah. Exactly.
- 18:32Yeah, they didn't. They just didn't lock that shit
- 18:35down. Also the ending was very
- 18:38unsatisfying and they were way too confident they were going to
- 18:41get a sequel. Oh God that ending sucked.
- 18:43We gotten no actual resolution to.
- 18:46It, it was weird, like, hey, we killed him.
- 18:49Oh wait, Fisher jumped out a fucking window.
- 18:52And it's a tall window and there's his hospital gown, so
- 18:56he's run around naked and concussed.
- 18:59Or is he the clown we. Don't know.
- 19:01Yeah, it just, I don't know, man.
- 19:04He he ran away and he went and joined the office and then final
- 19:07destination. Yeah, he went on to do his
- 19:09musical career. He moved to New York for the
- 19:11connections. Yeah.
- 19:12This movie takes place in California, so it was a big
- 19:16journey for Hunter. Yeah.
- 19:17Changed his name and everything. Yeah.
- 19:19Oh, but you know, he kept it on theme because he went from
- 19:22Fisher to hunter. Oh, yeah, yeah, I kind of agree
- 19:26with you with all the bad stuff here.
- 19:27I mean, that's pretty much mine too.
- 19:28It was just, it was jarring at times.
- 19:32I just, I also feel like they could have given the villain
- 19:38Horny more of a presence. He just kind of like appears
- 19:42here and there and he fucks shit up.
- 19:44You don't. They don't give him time to
- 19:46like, let things build. Suspensefully, why is his dad so
- 19:50scared of him? Like what's the back story there
- 19:54like? Yeah, why does he hate his dad?
- 19:56Yeah, like I need more information.
- 20:00Yeah, OK, so ugly. It's very 2007, for better, for
- 20:07worse. Yeah, it like and like I, I get
- 20:12it. This is like there is certain
- 20:14language usage around this time that generally as a society
- 20:19we've come out since I've been like, hey, that's kind of
- 20:21fucked. And a movie made in this time.
- 20:25Like we can't judge it for being made of this time, but in 2024
- 20:28it is uncomfortable to hear. Yeah, I guarantee you we're
- 20:31saying things today that like 20 years, the only one we're going
- 20:34to be like, oh man, I can't wait.
- 20:34I'm gonna. Be like Jesus, what was wrong
- 20:37with me? Exactly.
- 20:38It happens. It happens every.
- 20:39Few, yeah. Decades you will find something
- 20:41like that. And like, I get it and I'm not
- 20:44faulting it for being from 2007, but I am saying that, you know,
- 20:4817 years later, yeah, you know, like also the the group that is
- 20:55very Malibu's most wanted. Like Oh my God those people are
- 20:58the worst. Those people are from like the
- 21:02the shitty gutter trash Florida people that moved over to
- 21:05California. Yeah, it's just.
- 21:07And again, every state has them for it.
- 21:09I'm not just picking on you. There's like in Kentucky, we got
- 21:11the meth heads. Yeah, like it's just like
- 21:14everybody knows the Florida type, you know what I mean?
- 21:16Like you say, Jacksonville and Reyes, like, Oh yeah, I gotcha.
- 21:19Yeah, OK. Yeah.
- 21:22Yeah, so that's that's the main ugly.
- 21:25Yeah, mine is like the style from that time.
- 21:28Holy shit this is like the ugliest part. 2007 must have
- 21:32been when things got real rough. The main character.
- 21:36Dark Times. Mackenzie, the shit that she
- 21:38wears, I'm like, God, are you trying to be Avril Lavigne or
- 21:42some shit? I, you know, she was dressed a
- 21:44lot like that and that shit was just not all good.
- 21:46I think Avril rocked it back in the day, but this girl could not
- 21:49pull it off. I don't think he would have
- 21:52liked 2007. Jesse, you.
- 21:55Probably would have liked 2007 Travis.
- 21:56I was wearing fucking polo shirts popping my shit stripes.
- 22:02Hairs look back. Hair spiked up.
- 22:06Sloppy steaks. Gel all over the place, didn't
- 22:10know what I was doing. It was real bad man Good time.
- 22:20It's fun cuz that's an area I can definitely remember.
- 22:22Like man that shit was bad. That was just bad.
- 22:25I like, I finally understand like the the styles, you know,
- 22:30how everything's cyclical with fashion.
- 22:32Yeah. Like, I finally understand her
- 22:34parents being like, why is this coming back into mainstream?
- 22:38I feel that way with the millennial fashion coming back
- 22:41and like, no. Yeah, 2000 should come back in.
- 22:45The 2000s let it die. I guess also with the ugly the,
- 22:50you know, the whole picking on the the autistic guy, that was
- 22:56his whole thing. He was autistic and like, he had
- 22:58a crush on Jan when she was growing up.
- 23:02And they're like, hey, let's like, go light him on fire.
- 23:04Yeah, they could have just ignored him.
- 23:06Yeah, just they didn't want to be friends with him.
- 23:08Hey, maybe don't go to hell a burger because he's not at
- 23:11school anymore. His whole thing is he dropped
- 23:13out of school 18th birthday. You all are graduating soon.
- 23:16You don't have to think about him.
- 23:17Yeah, it's man. Yeah, that was, you know, so
- 23:21that was bad. Yeah.
- 23:22OK, so absurd. I like OK, OK, let's go with the
- 23:35the menu and like everything that it like it's hella.
- 23:41So it's trying to do this like Socal slang of the time, but
- 23:44it's also trying so hard to be very sexy.
- 23:48Do you remember when Hardy's got in trouble for their like,
- 23:52borderline pornographic commercials?
- 23:54It's kind of like disgusting when you think about like, oh,
- 23:57I'm this girl. I'm on top of a car.
- 23:59I'm rubbing a sandwich all over my boobies.
- 24:01Yeah, like what the fuck exactly?
- 24:04Now your boobs are all greasy. Yeah.
- 24:07It's just that's not sexy. That is how you get body acne.
- 24:10Yeah, I don't like that 2007. Yeah.
- 24:17So like, the whole menu, it cracked me up every time there
- 24:20was an order because they found a new way to make it sound
- 24:23insane. Yeah.
- 24:25And so I think that was like, they had fun with it.
- 24:27And I appreciate it. And I also appreciate that Jack
- 24:31Benjamin seems like a total fucking creep because yeah,
- 24:35yeah. So.
- 24:37And the fact that he inserts himself in all the commercials.
- 24:40Yeah, the commercials are one of my favorite things, and it's
- 24:42kind of the absurd for me. I like how they did the it's
- 24:46like they had. So OK, The thing is, they took a
- 24:51suit, one of the clown costumes, and he's using it to kill the
- 24:54people, but it's not the same suit.
- 24:57It's not the same suit and it's also like they took the mask and
- 25:00they added like. They used like one of the
- 25:03speaker. Boxes.
- 25:04Yeah, they used a speaker box inside of it, and they used like
- 25:07black paint, I guess to give it the sense that it was like,
- 25:10burned, but like, I don't know, just fucking burned that shit.
- 25:13It was a bigger head. I like.
- 25:14I think it would have been better if it was the clown
- 25:17costume that we see in the commercials.
- 25:19I think that would have been better.
- 25:21But I like them because they're kind of the old school cheesy.
- 25:24It almost looks like Japanese commercials that are just wacky
- 25:27for the sake of being wacky. You know what I mean?
- 25:30OK, I also, you know, we already talked about it, but I love that
- 25:34they just repurpose shit. I remember like they there's a
- 25:37little horny the clown doll. It was fucking Woody.
- 25:40I mean it had that full string and.
- 25:42Everything and then when we saw the back of its head, I.
- 25:44Had the little squirrel. I had the exact toy growing up.
- 25:48I was like, that's my Woody right there.
- 25:49They. Just sewed like a little outfit
- 25:52for it and made a tiny little mask again.
- 25:54I feel like the art department got to get a little creative
- 25:57with this. Yeah.
- 25:59You know those little moments like that, that the and I
- 26:01appreciate it too. OK.
- 26:03So what do you rate it? Oh man, I liked it more than I
- 26:08didn't, so I think I'm going to give it a six.
- 26:10OK, yeah, I was. I had a fun enough time with it,
- 26:17but God, there was just so many things that just was so
- 26:19disjointed about it that it was. Hard for me to, it was a mess.
- 26:23Yeah, it was hard for me to say invested the Clown wasn't as
- 26:25good as I was hoping so. And maybe I'm just like wet down
- 26:29because we just came back from Terrify 3 to watch.
- 26:32This. That's a really hard immediate
- 26:34comparison. Yeah, it really is.
- 26:36Maybe that was not fair to this movie, but I'm going to give it
- 26:40a 5. OK.
- 26:41So 5.5 is our starting average, OK.
- 26:45All right, you ready to get into it?
- 26:46Yeah. OK, so we start off with the
- 26:52Malibu's Most Wanted group. Just driving down the street.
- 26:55They're being obnoxious people, like fucking teens.
- 26:59Yeah. Every time they're smoking weed,
- 27:00they're drinking and driving and.
- 27:02They go to Helleburger and they're rude to the person on
- 27:07the other end, but the other end is rude back to them.
- 27:11And then one of them is like, I'm gonna go break in and try
- 27:14and shoot this guy, and he breaks in and it's closed.
- 27:21Like if these Dum Dums weren't such Dum Dums, they might have
- 27:24had a moment to be like, huh, all the lights and fryers are
- 27:28off. Maybe the person talking to us
- 27:31isn't fully. Yeah, tethered to reality.
- 27:35It seemed like it could be close.
- 27:37It also seemed like one of those weird ones where they shut down
- 27:40everything in the front and only have the kitchen rolling at the
- 27:42time. But we could see the kitchen
- 27:44behind him, and it was dark. Too, but also the deep fryer was
- 27:46on because the deep fryer the guy gets his head dumped into
- 27:49it. Yeah, but like, it didn't seem
- 27:52like it was a thing that it should have been on, you know
- 27:54what I mean? Yeah, again, that's just the
- 27:55movie being inconsistent. I think maybe they were just
- 27:58like setting it up for mood, like, oh, lights off, let's get
- 28:00a little creepy in here, you know, set the mood a little bit.
- 28:03Yeah. So yeah, he breaks in, he starts
- 28:05looking around, but horny. I see a clown drop from the
- 28:08ceiling. Yeah.
- 28:09And I said, Oh no, he's wearing club kid boots.
- 28:13Nobody tell the Boulets. What's club kid boots?
- 28:16Those boots he was wearing? I don't remember what they look
- 28:19like. You'd know him if you saw him.
- 28:21Great. That was helpful, Yeah.
- 28:23I, well, I don't, I'm, I don't. They're just, they're club kid
- 28:26boots. I don't know.
- 28:27How to explain it? All right, good enough that that
- 28:29was perfect for me. Thank you.
- 28:30So horny takes the guy. He takes him over to the deep
- 28:34fry machine and he dumps his face in there.
- 28:36Tony, I think, is his. Name Tony is his name.
- 28:37Yeah. Boyfriend of Tiffany Shepis in
- 28:40this movie, who we don't get enough of?
- 28:42No. How you gonna get a screen clean
- 28:44on here and then not even like show her death?
- 28:47Yeah, you don't even show her death, you show everybody in the
- 28:49van with her stuff, which is strange.
- 28:52So, OK, the other guy gets fed up and he decides to go check on
- 28:58Tony since he hasn't seen Tony for a minute.
- 28:59Goes inside there, sees his head in the deep fryer, thinks he
- 29:02might still be OK. Listen up, Tony, you all right?
- 29:06And his face is melted bald now, all kinds of shit.
- 29:09Still thinking he is alive. But then Horny comes up.
- 29:13Horny comes up behind him and chops him.
- 29:15Yep. So he's dead.
- 29:17Yeah, my cut to gratuitous Leighton Meester.
- 29:20She is performing at her own graduation pool party, but they
- 29:25haven't graduated yet. Is my graduation 18th birthday
- 29:29tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow. Yeah, her boy, her boyfriend's
- 29:33like, I'm really horny. And she's like, baby, you know,
- 29:35I have to wait until I'm a legal adult and I can get drafted in
- 29:38the military. Yeah, it's so weird.
- 29:42She's like, who are these people in the house?
- 29:44Like, dude, this is your fucking party and you don't know anybody
- 29:46here. You're just playing music.
- 29:48Yeah, like the whole thing is really weird.
- 29:50And then they get a noise citation for being too loud.
- 29:54They didn't have the budget to bring the cops here.
- 29:56They just had the one guy be like, yeah, the cops are here
- 29:59breaking up the party. Cut to next bit and they're all
- 30:01in the basement just chilling and smoking.
- 30:03I will say it because she's very like teenage understanding of
- 30:11being liberal. So like Republican is one of her
- 30:15favorite insults. And then she sees this couple
- 30:17that she hates in her hot tub, and she calls them banana
- 30:19Republicans. Yeah, that's it.
- 30:21I was. Like that's all gonna be crazy
- 30:23today. That's creative.
- 30:24I hear it more today, but that's.
- 30:26One of those things like I was oblivious to that shit back
- 30:29then, so I don't know if people were just like calling people
- 30:31Republicans left and. Right.
- 30:32I mean, she's in California, so. That's true.
- 30:34Yeah. Different, different
- 30:35environment. So they're all hanging out in
- 30:38her basement room place and they're smoking weed and one of
- 30:42them finds a Ouija board. Yeah, from when her parents were
- 30:46hippies, before they were hypocrites.
- 30:48We're just like, yeah, they became Republicans.
- 30:50She. So that's another absurd right
- 30:52there. She's just so like, we're
- 30:53obsessed with like her family and everybody's political
- 30:56stance. She's also really upset about
- 30:59the potential for being drafted and like.
- 31:01Yeah, what, honey? You're a lady like Can.
- 31:04You imagine I feel like her parents probably instilled these
- 31:07fears in her. Yeah.
- 31:09Like if you have sex before you're drafted and a Republican,
- 31:13you will die. Yeah, like she went to the Mean
- 31:17Girls health class. Yeah.
- 31:19So I have to be Republican and I have to be drafted, and then I
- 31:22can have sex. OK, Yeah.
- 31:23Yeah, that's how it works. Yeah.
- 31:25The correct order of operations. Yes.
- 31:27OK, So they decided that they're gonna just play with the Ouija
- 31:30board, and I don't think it works so.
- 31:33No, instead Joe Goldberg makes some fart jokes.
- 31:37He farts, Yeah, he just farts. Everybody's like, and then they
- 31:40leave. Yeah.
- 31:41He literally ruins the part. Fart.
- 31:44Everybody just. Leaves and he's not quite a
- 31:47party pooper, but. It reminds me this is a stupid
- 31:51tantrum, but in school one time, high school, this guy kept
- 31:54farting so bad. And like the teacher gave him a
- 31:57warning. He's like, Matt, if you fart one
- 32:00more time, I don't know what's going to happen.
- 32:03And then it was a silent 5 minutes.
- 32:06And then all of a sudden this foul stints just like washed
- 32:10over the entire room. And then the teacher like
- 32:13slammed his hand. I was like Matt to the office.
- 32:21So the guy, he was like so embarrassed that he was trying
- 32:23to play it off like laugh like, ha, ha, it's funny, everybody,
- 32:26right. Everybody was like hating him
- 32:28for. So yeah, this is exactly the
- 32:30same thing that happened here, but.
- 32:32It just made me think of the guy in our defensive driving class.
- 32:36He's just like burped. No, he would burp all the time
- 32:39and then the one time he like burped and farted at the same
- 32:42time I remember he's over at the table by himself trying so hard
- 32:46to hold it in. No, we were at the same table
- 32:49with him. I remember it was like, it was
- 32:51one of those like weird farts where like you hop up a little
- 32:54bit, like it may have like launched him temporarily.
- 32:58And I remember I just like looked at you and I was holding
- 33:00my laughter as hard as I could. The guy feels so bad.
- 33:04He also like started tapping the table too.
- 33:06Like slink. Yep.
- 33:08What was that you're? Wow.
- 33:11Damn. Earthquake.
- 33:13Oh man, I'm sorry, this is a weird tangent.
- 33:15Farts do that to us though. I'm sorry.
- 33:19OK, so they it's just Fisher and McKenzie.
- 33:23They're hanging. She is nervous about their
- 33:25future because they're about to graduate.
- 33:26She's gonna be going to Berkeley and Fisher is going to New York.
- 33:29We don't really know why he just says he can't be in Socal
- 33:33because nothing. There are no like industry
- 33:36connections in Socal. Yeah, right, motherfucker.
- 33:39Shut the fuck up. Yeah.
- 33:40It's like I got to go to New York City, you know, it's almost
- 33:43like they're repeating their final Destination Five thing.
- 33:45Like I got to go to Paris. This is just like in this guy's
- 33:48contract. I got to be going somewhere for
- 33:50my. Just in Final Destination 5
- 33:53though, because she was like you won't go to Paris if you think
- 33:56you have to stay here with me and you need to go.
- 33:58That's true, yeah. It's a little bit different.
- 34:00OK. So they decide that they're
- 34:02going to do the Ouija board themselves.
- 34:04And this time? Well, no actually they're just
- 34:06sitting there and the plane ship moves on its.
- 34:08Own. Really.
- 34:09Yeah, OK. And they do it.
- 34:10And at first I thought I thought it was spelling nipple.
- 34:13I know. I thought I was gonna go now the
- 34:16movie has already set us up that it's gonna be, well, naughty.
- 34:18Yeah, well, it's Horny the clown.
- 34:20Why wouldn't his be? Also how is how you doing this?
- 34:23Who horny? Yes, like what is this
- 34:25connection to the spirit realm like none of this shit makes?
- 34:27Sense I don't even know if he's actually dead.
- 34:29I feel like he has to be but like he they almost treat him in
- 34:32this movie like he's still a living person too.
- 34:34You know what I mean? I don't know.
- 34:35It's it's confusing. Yeah.
- 34:37So OK, the the board spells N1KL.
- 34:42PL-8. Thank you.
- 34:44We did that together. Good job.
- 34:46Good. So that is.
- 34:49The license plate number of Brandon.
- 34:53Yeah, from the opening crew, yeah.
- 34:54The Cadillac. Yeah, so.
- 34:58We cut to the Cadillac and Tiffany Shepis and her friend
- 35:02have fallen asleep waiting for the boys to come back.
- 35:05And they're like, oh man, where are they?
- 35:07And then horny attacks them also.
- 35:09Yeah, just one of them. Just one of them.
- 35:11Tiffany Shepis. Maybe they were saving her for
- 35:13the sequel. Yeah.
- 35:14I don't know, yeah, but. Maybe she only had half a day
- 35:17available to film. Yeah, just.
- 35:19Feels like I am working on something else that I will come
- 35:22shoot this. Year.
- 35:24So yeah, they are dead. Cops are at the scene the next
- 35:28day. The detectives are asking them
- 35:30if there's anything weird. And one guy was like, well,
- 35:33yeah, the radio was playing. And they're like, that's not
- 35:35weird. It's a car.
- 35:36And they're like, yeah, but it's just weird because it's highway
- 35:38to hell. And I want to be like.
- 35:39That's also not weird. It's like, why is that weird?
- 35:41Yeah. Like like I get like, oh spooky
- 35:45but like. That's like a very popular.
- 35:47Song. Yeah, it's not like a clue.
- 35:50That shit's been rolling since the 80s, Seventies, yeah, 70s, I
- 35:55think. Yeah, they've been going for.
- 35:57Stephen King doesn't own Akadeka.
- 36:00Akadeka, Akadeka. So yeah, next, my next known is
- 36:06Jan is Mom. Like I'm like, Oh my God.
- 36:09Jan is. Mother, because this was
- 36:11magical, because you get Hunter, you get Fisher and Jen in the
- 36:16same scene and I got I got to mention how awful we catch.
- 36:18Melora Hardin's name. We were so distracted by all of
- 36:21the other names in the opening, we somehow miss Melora Hardin.
- 36:25And then she appeared and we were like, what?
- 36:27Yeah, it was just I got to imagine, like, were they
- 36:31shooting The office at the same time too?
- 36:34I mean, that had to be right. This is the same time that those
- 36:36characters are on the show. That always started in like,
- 36:38what, 2005? Yeah.
- 36:39So 2007 would have been around season.
- 36:41Three, yeah. 2:00-ish. Yeah.
- 36:44So there. This is Midgen Hunter Affair.
- 36:47Yeah. Right here.
- 36:49So, yeah, that was that was fun. They see the news report of the
- 36:53murders on the TV and that's where Mackenzie recognizes the
- 36:56license plate is the number that the Ouija board spelled out.
- 36:59Yeah, at school Mackenzie has a magic 8 ball in her locker,
- 37:07which prompted me to tell Travis the story that I think is worth
- 37:10sharing on the show as well. Because back when my senior year
- 37:15of high school and applying to different schools, because I had
- 37:18done some summer programs with UK, they sent like various
- 37:21promotional. Like come to our school, we will
- 37:24offer you minimal scholarships. Surely this entices you.
- 37:29And one of the things they sent in one of these packages was a
- 37:33Big Blue Magic 8 ball. And like all of their responses
- 37:37were like reasons you should go to UK.
- 37:41And like when you shook it, it played a song.
- 37:43It was like everything I see is blue.
- 37:47And because we lived, our house was like 1/2 mile from our
- 37:52driveway. The male often times just kind
- 37:55of ended up in my mom's backseat and the Magic 8 ball rolled
- 37:57underneath the seat. So every time for like the next
- 38:00three months, anytime we would come to a sudden stop or we
- 38:03would do like a real sharp turn, like the song would start
- 38:06playing. Good.
- 38:07Then I'd be like that right there would be to the point
- 38:11where I would miss it if it left.
- 38:13And then anytime I take a turn, I'm singing that to myself like
- 38:18I I just need that in my life. So that was, that was the one
- 38:20constant. Like I am adrift and lost with
- 38:25everything I'm seeing being blue.
- 38:28Yeah, OK. So yeah, she's shaking it
- 38:30herself here and it says hi Mackenzie.
- 38:33Which that would freak me the fuck out.
- 38:35Yeah, that's warranted. And then it shakes again, and it
- 38:39gives a hint of a broken heart, Yeah.
- 38:41Which it then cuts over to her friend Val who is calling her
- 38:46and going hey I got this new awesome tattoos.
- 38:49She didn't. Here's the thing, she has a very
- 38:51normal amount of body hair, but it's over top of this tattoo and
- 38:55you get shaved. Even if you don't have, even if
- 38:58it's like those really light colored hairs like what she has,
- 39:01you still get shaved. It also didn't look fresh and.
- 39:04It didn't look fresh, like this was just something the actress
- 39:07had. Is it that or one of the ones
- 39:09that you just like you do the? Yeah, a little temporary.
- 39:12Yeah, that's what I think it was, but it's like a heart cut
- 39:15in half. So yeah, it's basically the ball
- 39:19warning that she's next. And we know this because we see
- 39:22Horny the clown in the locker room with her, tackling her.
- 39:25And we have more tiny benches. All wish witchcraft.
- 39:31Witchcraft, yes. Man.
- 39:34Was that just a thing? Was this a thing in the mid
- 39:372000s? Maybe California schools?
- 39:39This is like the, like extended universe, like they're, they
- 39:42share a universe which, yeah, like I, you know, I could see
- 39:45this too being shared. It's just confusing because that
- 39:48isn't for sure not what the benches in my high school locker
- 39:51room looked like. My high school locker room
- 39:54wasn't good enough for benches. You stand or you sit on the wet
- 39:59floor. We just had like the fold out
- 40:01like foldable chairs just all over the place.
- 40:05OK, so Mackenzie is doing work for the yearbook in a dark lab.
- 40:09That's, I mean, whatever, live your life.
- 40:12And Lenny, who is a janitor. Yeah, I, I wrote him as Creepy
- 40:16Lenny. Yeah, he just comes in there and
- 40:18he's talking to her and being a creep.
- 40:20And she's clearly uncomfortable and then he's like, by the way,
- 40:22I have your camera that was lost.
- 40:24And she's like, where'd you find it?
- 40:26And he goes, you don't want to know.
- 40:28And I'm like, I feel like she does because this is easily over
- 40:31$1000 worth of equipment and she deserves to know where it was.
- 40:36I have. A feeling he stole it.
- 40:37But she, well, here's the thing, there were photos and she
- 40:41develops them and they are the murdered group from the
- 40:44Cadillac. Exactly.
- 40:45Yeah, it's horny. That's stolen.
- 40:47And then Horny attacks her and chases her through the school
- 40:51and she finds Val with her head inside of a microwave in the
- 40:54middle of the gym. Yeah, and it's being toasted.
- 40:57Yeah, they yeah, they definitely they urban legend her.
- 41:00They did, they UL Ed her. Big time.
- 41:02His favorite level U wow. And continues to chase her
- 41:05throughout the hallways, where she goes into one of the
- 41:08bathrooms where Lenny is hanged just there.
- 41:11And then she runs into one of the security guards.
- 41:16I think it's, I think it's meant to be a cop.
- 41:18I don't know. Cops.
- 41:19Yeah, whatever. School cop guy?
- 41:21Yeah, he's there. And yeah, Yep, she's out of it.
- 41:25So the detectives believe Lenny did it because, you know, he had
- 41:29her camera and. He had a sketchy pass Sketchy.
- 41:32Pass cool school. He must have also gone to the
- 41:36same school of prom night 2. We don't do background checks
- 41:40here. Yeah, they in fact encourage if
- 41:43you are a creep or murder in your students, Principal.
- 41:45Is like why didn't I get Lenny while I?
- 41:48Could. So they and they're like also
- 41:54it's, you know, very classic, like to go on a killing spree
- 41:57and then kill oneself. And she's like, but what about
- 42:00the Ouija board and Magic 8 ball and the detectives like, yeah,
- 42:04no. Yeah, I mean, that's like we're
- 42:07not going to follow that as a way.
- 42:08That's bullshit. Like, and honestly, regardless
- 42:12of what your belief in this stuff, there is like a very
- 42:14famous court case where the jurors were, like, playing
- 42:18around with a Ouija board after hours and it influenced what
- 42:22they ended up voting on the verdict and it caused a
- 42:24mistrial. So yeah, like, it's a, it's a
- 42:27real thing. Like, no, we're not taking Ouija
- 42:30boards into account for this murder case.
- 42:33Yeah, of course the detectives don't.
- 42:36They didn't find Val's body. They only found Lenny's body and
- 42:39everybody else is presumed missing.
- 42:41Yes. So it that's a little bit
- 42:45concerning that they're not like listening that she found Val's
- 42:48body. Yeah, maybe they thought she
- 42:50like hallucinated or some shit, I don't know.
- 42:52Because she's saying that she like, they think she's
- 42:54hallucinating the magic 8 ball stuff and the Ouija board and
- 42:57why not? So the detectives take it upon
- 43:00themselves to question the owner of the Hellburger locations.
- 43:04The guy is super shifty on things.
- 43:07He says that the security cameras outside the building are
- 43:10for show, so they can't review the footage and see what
- 43:13actually happened there. A lot of times insurance
- 43:15companies require that at a minimum, so he probably has like
- 43:18the cheapest insurance plans and also fuck his employees if
- 43:21something happens to them. Well in reality he has working
- 43:26security cameras because once they leave he sees, well we see
- 43:30him reviewing the footage and he sees Horny the clown meandering
- 43:34around the building there. So nice.
- 43:36Vocabulary word. Thank you.
- 43:38So yeah, we see. Yeah.
- 43:41By the way, they revealed that the original Horny was his son
- 43:44Archie. Archie.
- 43:45Yeah. And then he was like, and then
- 43:48Crackers goes, how's he doing now?
- 43:52And Jack's like he's dead. And he goes, yeah, I guess all
- 43:56the other the other hornies now have like big shoes to fill.
- 43:59I'm like, read the room, man. Yeah, this guy's weirdly
- 44:02fanboying over at the owner of a fast food restaurant.
- 44:06And then he asked for his autograph and then he's upset
- 44:08that it's literally just a signature.
- 44:10Yeah, it just says detective. It doesn't even like say his
- 44:13name. Or anything either.
- 44:14Yeah, yeah. And he keeps calling them
- 44:17crackers the entire time. I would too, yeah.
- 44:21OK, so it is the next morning. Mackenzie is listening to
- 44:25Highway to Hell backwards, listening for demonic messages.
- 44:30When Fisher comes over. They're getting ready.
- 44:32They are in charge of the haunted house at the senior
- 44:35carnival. Yeah.
- 44:36And she's like, do you have my birthday gift?
- 44:38And he's like, well, your birthday is tomorrow still.
- 44:42And she's like, I think you have my birthday present.
- 44:45She's like, I don't want to die virgin.
- 44:47And then her mom knocks on the door and they have an awkward
- 44:51conversation through it while like she's naked with her
- 44:54boyfriend in bed because her mom's like trying to get her to
- 44:57not go to the carnival. And she was like, no, I'm going.
- 45:00Plus I have to like. Yeah, I mean, it's like a whole
- 45:02thing. So they hop in the bed and they
- 45:04start to have sex and then the Etch A Sketch that's on the
- 45:07ground next to the bed just suddenly sketches in I heart
- 45:10Bush. OK, question.
- 45:13Yes. Do we think this is in a
- 45:15reference to one of the Georges pubic hair or the band Bush?
- 45:21I think, see, I would have originally thought it was pubic
- 45:27hair, OK, but in the scene with the detectives in the actual
- 45:34police building, we do see a picture of George Bush hung up
- 45:38in there. Yeah.
- 45:40And then it cuts over to Tina, one of the girls who doesn't
- 45:45seem like the type. They're just like, advertised.
- 45:47I like Bush. Yeah, but I yeah.
- 45:50And I also feel like, though, that this is around the time
- 45:53that like Bush was at their most popular as a band.
- 45:56See, I'm not familiar with Bush as a band.
- 45:58It's one of those bands that if you heard the song, you'd be
- 46:00like, I am familiar with this song.
- 46:02Just I don't know the band. I just know the song.
- 46:05OK, Well, maybe it could be, I don't know.
- 46:08Yeah, it's all-encompassing. It's all three.
- 46:11Yeah, it's Schrodinger's Bush. I like Bush, Bush, Bush.
- 46:16Wait, no, no, No 4 bushes because we didn't settle on
- 46:19which George? Yes, correct.
- 46:21Yeah. We don't know if it's W or HW.
- 46:24Yeah, so OK, it comes over to the carnival with that woman
- 46:27wearing the shirt, and we have Mackenzie and Fisher.
- 46:30They're in there like haunted Halloween costume thing.
- 46:34It almost turns into a Halloween movie here for a second.
- 46:37He is wearing like a Michael Myers, but like a fad spin on
- 46:42it. Yeah.
- 46:42Like he's got part of the mask is like on his face and he's got
- 46:46like wounds around. I thought I've appreciated.
- 46:47It yeah, it was nice. And she's kind of doing an
- 46:49Elvira thing. I'm a little bit disappointed in
- 46:52her. Elvira.
- 46:53Yeah, I honestly it could have been.
- 46:56Better maybe it's the same thing, you know, just take the
- 46:59spirit of the costume and do your own thing with it.
- 47:01I. Don't think she even took the
- 47:02spirit of the costume you. Don't think so, no.
- 47:04Well, OK anyways, they get into like a little verbal altercation
- 47:09here and the woman, Tina and her boyfriend go into the haunted
- 47:15house. I think that they have sex or
- 47:17attempt to but the guy like prematurely.
- 47:21Yeah, he has sex. And he does not actually, I
- 47:25think he's like about to have sex and then it just happens.
- 47:28I think he at least. He started.
- 47:31Made some contact and also. With the air, the air, a gentle
- 47:37breeze came in and. Jizz in my.
- 47:42Yeah, so anyways, they hop inside the ride and they start
- 47:46going and then horny comes up out of nowhere and starts
- 47:50killing them. Yep.
- 47:51And also. Gets.
- 47:52Fisher. Fisher sees, and he's like.
- 47:54Yeah, and I, well, I mean, we don't see exactly what happens
- 47:58to him, but the horny gets him and hurts him badly.
- 48:02So Mackenzie's with her parents, I guess they ended up deciding
- 48:07to come to the carnival as well, maybe to support her, support
- 48:12the PTI, don't know. They're there, they're eating,
- 48:15and they run into one of her mom's old high school friends,
- 48:19who is Tina's dad. But they talk about some of the
- 48:24parents of the other missing children who were all their
- 48:26friends and Mackenzie's. Like, that's weird.
- 48:30But then Star comes up and she's like, hey, you got to get back
- 48:33to the haunted house. The ride is stuck and Fisher's
- 48:35missing. Yeah, so they go and look around
- 48:38through the ride. They find the bloody scene of
- 48:42Tina and her boyfriend, and they find Fisher banged up in there.
- 48:46So Fisher's being wheeled out on stretcher to the ambulance.
- 48:51She wants to go follow him so. She gets to the hospital, her
- 48:55mom has followed. The cops aren't letting them in
- 48:57because they're saying, like, he's the only witness to any of
- 49:00these disappearances so far and they need to talk to him.
- 49:03And the detective is like, I don't want to hear about your
- 49:06Etch A Sketch. Like, I don't need to hear about
- 49:08any of this. Then Mackenzie and Marsha AKA
- 49:14Jen. Yes, I just wrote it as Jan.
- 49:17The entire time, you know, they get into like a little fight.
- 49:21Yeah, 'cause she's like, clearly there is a connection and you
- 49:24should be saying something to somebody.
- 49:26And then her mom leaves and she refuses to go with her.
- 49:28She's staying to wait for a chance to talk to Fisher.
- 49:31Meanwhile, Detective Chase is talking to Mr. McCandless.
- 49:34That's Tina's dad. And she had overheard the fight
- 49:38between McKenzie and her mom. And so she was like, hey, is
- 49:43there a reason that somebody would want to take revenge on
- 49:47you and the other parents of these missing teens in a horny
- 49:52the clown suit? Yeah, and this guy is quick the
- 49:54crack. He's like, first he's like, no,
- 49:56I don't know what you're talking about.
- 49:56She's like, really? And he's like, Oh my God, yes, I
- 49:58so here. Yeah.
- 50:01So basically what happened was, wait, we don't.
- 50:04Get No, we don't get that. Yeah, yeah, it cuts away.
- 50:05Yeah, yeah, yeah. We cut to Fisher who has taken
- 50:08some of his meds and put it on a burger cuz he knew that Crockers
- 50:12would want to eat his burger. Yeah, he like breaks the glass
- 50:15in there, which gets in the wake up and go over there.
- 50:17He's like, are you gonna finish that?
- 50:18Yeah, it's already got a bite in it, which is nasty.
- 50:20Yeah. Like this guy is fucking
- 50:22disgusting. Yeah, like how he knew.
- 50:26Like, maybe like he's like. He's totally the type that's
- 50:28going to ask. Him, he's already like, he's
- 50:30like Zoe, like he went away for a second already at one point
- 50:32and he like ate his food while he wasn't looking.
- 50:35At it. Yeah.
- 50:35And fool Zoe mode. Yeah, exactly.
- 50:38So Mackenzie is at the vending machine area and one of those
- 50:41little, like, bubble gum toy machine things drops a toy out.
- 50:45It's a little clown squish ball with a little slip of paper that
- 50:48says see you at 4:20. It's like.
- 50:49A fortune cookie. Yeah.
- 50:51Clowns. Yeah, so they find Crockers this
- 50:55past out and then Fisher goes. She goes to her car and Fisher
- 51:00is high, Yeah. Yeah, waiting for her.
- 51:02So he calls one of his friends, Van Van Yeah, to ask about if
- 51:08they know anything about 4:20, about with a tattoo stick or
- 51:11whatever. And he's like, oh, yeah.
- 51:12You mean like the 420 boys? Yeah, Chuck Taylor's group.
- 51:15Yeah. And Chuck Charlie Taylor was her
- 51:18mom's high school boyfriend, so. So we cut over to the 420 boys
- 51:23and they are hitting up the fun space at Helleburger.
- 51:26Yeah, after they got really high and graffiti at the side of the
- 51:29restaurant and the cashier is being grossed to Carrie, who is
- 51:34doing the ordering and. And who is the guy from Super
- 51:37Size? Me.
- 51:37Yeah, Yeah. The cashier that it is.
- 51:40Yeah. They always have a horny on
- 51:44hand. There's just the clown.
- 51:45He's over there mopping. They actually just get to work.
- 51:48You gotta work in the clown costume.
- 51:50That's your uniform that day. Yeah, that would be
- 51:53uncomfortable. So yeah, he gets upset when he
- 51:58sees the large teens in the fun space because it's meant to be
- 52:03for 12 and under only. And he was like, I've got your
- 52:06number, Cucumber. Yeah, he threatens to call the
- 52:09cops. They like throw shit at him and
- 52:11he leaves him alone. I don't even know if he calls
- 52:13the cops or not. But then they decide to take it
- 52:15up a notch and they start peeing on the clown speaker box.
- 52:19And then the clown speaker box starts talking to them and
- 52:23they're like fighting it and. 20 rises from the ball pit.
- 52:27Yeah. And he just kills him.
- 52:29Yeah. The way he moves in this movie,
- 52:31they did like a weird thing where they like speed up his
- 52:33movements. I don't hate that.
- 52:34I don't hate it. Either I thought it was kind of
- 52:36cool. Yeah.
- 52:36Like he moves super fast. Yeah, they they shot that well.
- 52:39Yeah, yeah, it adds, it adds to his mythos.
- 52:43Yeah, but he like, really like slices them up.
- 52:45These are good kills. Like he throws the thing at the
- 52:48long haired Stoner and it gets them in the face and I thought
- 52:51that they did really good effects for that right there.
- 52:53I can't remember what they did to the other guy.
- 52:55Yeah, but Carrie comes back and finds the bloody scene, but the
- 53:00bodies are gone. So Mac and Marsha are talking
- 53:05and this is where she like finally gives the back story.
- 53:08So she had a friend group in high school.
- 53:10They all went to different schools but they still hung out
- 53:12all the time. They weren't great and they had
- 53:17a kid that they picked on a lot. His name was Archie Benjamin and
- 53:22it got so bad that he eventually dropped out of school and where
- 53:25she at his dad's restaurant full time.
- 53:27Yeah, and he became Horny the clown.
- 53:30He became the mascot. So like, yeah, he kind of became
- 53:32famous. He was on all the commercials
- 53:34and yeah, you know, he was making, like, a little, like,
- 53:36fun living out of it. And she said he died in a fire
- 53:42that was officially declared an accident.
- 53:44She's like, except it really wasn't.
- 53:46So he had a big crush on her and invited her to his 18th
- 53:50birthday. And she just like threw away the
- 53:52invitation. But then her boyfriend, who
- 53:55didn't like that he was like obsessed with her, decided that
- 53:58they were going to crash the party.
- 54:00And So what they did was they pulled a prank on him where she
- 54:04is at the and he goes to answer it.
- 54:05And then somebody's behind him with like a mask and a knife.
- 54:08And he gets scared, tumbles over and knocks down his birthday
- 54:12cake. And the candles are still lit.
- 54:14And it's just that's kind of sad.
- 54:16In general. Also, that's a really lame
- 54:17prank. It's a lame prank and also like,
- 54:19it's just fucking sad. Like, yeah, it's already bad
- 54:22enough he's spending his birthday alone in Hullaburger.
- 54:26Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
- 54:27I feel like if he did it in costume, that's the clown.
- 54:30Like he would have had everybody over there to party with Morning
- 54:32the clown on his birthday, you know what I mean?
- 54:34But he wanted the real people. He wanted the real ones, and
- 54:37nobody showed up. They just burned him instead.
- 54:39Yeah, and because he, like, fell over, he got knocked out and he
- 54:43couldn't escape the fire. So just like, caught on fire,
- 54:46Yeah, died. Yeah, and Mackenzie is like, you
- 54:49have got to tell the cops cuz this is obvious.
- 54:52And she's like, I'm going to, I want to protect you like cuz
- 54:55he's coming for me now. And she goes, no, it's he's not
- 54:58coming for you, he's coming for me.
- 54:59Like, yeah, cool. You'll be sad if I'm dead.
- 55:02I will just actually be dead like.
- 55:04Yeah, So yeah, very, very Freddy Krueger inspired.
- 55:10Yeah, right here. Big.
- 55:11So much so Detective Chase is on the phone and she's arguing with
- 55:15a judge about getting a search warrant for Jack Benjamin's
- 55:17house. And then she gets a call from
- 55:20Marsha. And like, you can kind of get
- 55:22the sense of like she's saying, like Mackenzie has like left the
- 55:25house and she's headed over there.
- 55:26Yeah, so Mackenzie has gathered her group of friends.
- 55:30They have decided that they're gonna go over to Jack Benjamin's
- 55:32and they're gonna just address him directly to find out what
- 55:36the hell is happening. Well, that's what they say
- 55:38they're gonna do, but instead they sneak into his house.
- 55:40Yeah, yeah, that's exactly yeah. They all meet outside.
- 55:43It's just a gazebo or some shit. Yeah.
- 55:45The friend. I can't.
- 55:46What's the friend's name? There's Star and Van.
- 55:49Van OK, so Van is there and he's he's in.
- 55:52Full Rambow. Yeah, he's brought like all I
- 55:54like the little kid that things that he's brought.
- 55:57So he like brought like a little plastic like tent stake for like
- 56:00because. They didn't have wood at the
- 56:02army. Surplus where?
- 56:03He brought a picture of Jesus. Ghetto Jesus, because it's like
- 56:08somebody like spray painted and then took a picture of it.
- 56:11Like it was like really funny. I looked out there just like
- 56:14tearing him down the entire time and then like, OK, what did you
- 56:17guys bring? And then making just like I
- 56:19brought my fucking dad's gun when he was in the military.
- 56:22Yeah. It's like a.
- 56:22Gigantic revolver. It's like.
- 56:24As big as her head. Yeah, I'm like, OK, well, you
- 56:27win. They sneak.
- 56:29They split up and Mackenzie and Fisher sneak in.
- 56:32They find a room that's got like stuff like a Ouija board and
- 56:36Magic 8 ball Etch A Sketch, a Woody, a Woody doll dressed up
- 56:40as a Horny the clown doll. And then Van and well, Van has
- 56:47found the garage, yeah. And he finds a freezer, opens
- 56:50the freezer and finds stars body already in there.
- 56:53Yeah. And horny drops down from the
- 56:55ceiling and. He loves dropping from the.
- 56:57Ceiling he does. That's his preferred method of
- 56:59entry right there. And he slices him in half.
- 57:03You know what? He's kind of like Michael Myers
- 57:06in Halloween 7. I was thinking about that, yeah.
- 57:09Yeah, the himbo, Michael. Myers, H2O N Resurrection.
- 57:12Yeah. The dude just was like 1 arm in
- 57:15it. Yeah, yeah.
- 57:16Except Horny's like too fast. He's like, yeah, he's like Jolin
- 57:19all over the place over here. All right, so Mackenzie and
- 57:24Fisher have made it inside the building and they're like at the
- 57:28front door. And then this is when Horny just
- 57:32axes his way through the front door and starts chasing them.
- 57:35Yeah, he, he chases them. They've.
- 57:41Let's see, Fisher pulls off his mask and we just see the back of
- 57:45his head is very burned. And then he kind of throws
- 57:47Fisher through the window because he doesn't care about
- 57:48him. He's not related to anyone.
- 57:50Yeah. The detectives arrive.
- 57:52Crockers find Star in Vans bodies in the garage and Chase
- 57:57finds Jack, who says Archie is going to kill him.
- 58:01Why? We don't know.
- 58:02Yeah, we've got no hint of this being an issue for.
- 58:05Them. Oh, and did we say, did you say
- 58:06that he took off the mask too when they were struggling?
- 58:09Yeah. So yeah.
- 58:11So Mac wakes up at a birthday party with all of the dead kids
- 58:15sitting around her, and Horny pours gasoline on her.
- 58:19And then Marsha appears, blah, blah, blah, starts shooting.
- 58:25And they kind of have like, a fight.
- 58:27And in the middle of the fight, Mackenzie grabs her flask, takes
- 58:30a big swallow. And then when Horny comes back
- 58:32and he's about to, like, light her on fire with a candle, she
- 58:36blows. Blows the alcohol, Yeah.
- 58:38And creates like a mini torch. So he's on fire again and
- 58:42burning again. Yep.
- 58:43And yeah, they get out of it. He just, like, disappears.
- 58:47It cuts to like, the crime scene again.
- 58:48They're like, all right, all the bodies that are accounted for,
- 58:50except for Horning the clown. We don't know where he went to.
- 58:54Man Fisher is in the hospital in critical conditions, so
- 59:00Mackenzie rushes over there and he's gone from the room.
- 59:05Yeah, his his bed is gone. He had the windows open and bed.
- 59:10Is there, it's just empty. Took his bed with him.
- 59:15How do you get it fit through the window?
- 59:17I don't know. And yeah, it pans out of the
- 59:22hospital and you can see his like 5 stories.
- 59:24Yeah, and he. Must have jumped.
- 59:26And yeah, like she said from the beginning, you see his robe just
- 59:29on the sidewalk, and then we see crackers Crockers in the drive
- 59:33through a Hell Burger ordering some food.
- 59:36How's the place open? It just recovered from a murder
- 59:39scene, you know what I mean? So.
- 59:41But yeah, it's there and he's ordering food.
- 59:43And then you see Horny the Clown kind of walking around in the
- 59:46background and then he jumps on top of the car and, like, axes
- 59:49through it and kills him and then cuts to credits.
- 59:52Yep. But then we get the little like,
- 59:54bee blooper reel of like all of this shit in the movie, which is
- 59:57fun. And yeah, that's how it ends.
- 1:00:02OK, OK. I still like it more than I
- 1:00:10don't. OK, so I think I'm gonna keep it
- 1:00:12at a six. OK, I'll make it a 5 1/2.
- 1:00:19OK. Yeah, because like, it's not
- 1:00:21bad. It has its place.
- 1:00:22It's just. It's very silly.
- 1:00:25It's like you said yesterday you needed a dumb fun movie to.
- 1:00:29Put it on. I did, and that fit the bill
- 1:00:32right there. That's exactly what this is.
- 1:00:34If you're just wanting like a dumb fun slasher, I think that
- 1:00:36this this will do it for you. Yeah, for most people, I think
- 1:00:41that you'll have a fun time with it.
- 1:00:43OK, what would you change? I want to change how they handle
- 1:00:51horny in this because I don't like how he just kind of like
- 1:00:55he's so quick. Like I would say his screen time
- 1:00:58in this movie is maybe 5 minutes.
- 1:01:01Yeah. He doesn't have a presence
- 1:01:04really. That's the thing.
- 1:01:06Like when he they get his scenes, there's really no build
- 1:01:09up to it. He just drops from the ceiling
- 1:01:11super fast and kills people and it usually takes place in like
- 1:01:1420 seconds. I want like an actual resolution
- 1:01:17to everything. That would be great too.
- 1:01:20Yeah, I would like to put in that they.
- 1:01:21Feels like they were planning for a sequel.
- 1:01:23Yeah, they were really hoping for a sequel to this right here.
- 1:01:26Maybe sometime down the line when this becomes, like one of
- 1:01:29those weird cult horror movies and somebody is going to be
- 1:01:32like, let's do a drive through, too, you know?
- 1:01:35But no, we have not gotten one of those yet.
- 1:01:38And it's almost been 20 years. Wow.
- 1:01:41So yeah, I don't see it happening anytime soon.
- 1:01:44No, no, no resolution. All right.
- 1:01:47Who? OK, wait, are we doing Scout's
- 1:01:53thing first? Yes.
- 1:01:54What was Scout's favorite? You tell me.
- 1:01:57Scout's favorite part of this movie.
- 1:01:59Oh man. Oh God there's so many.
- 1:02:07I'm gonna say it was whenever she spit the fire in his face
- 1:02:19because she likes warm things. She's in a really warm mood
- 1:02:22right now. And she's been on fire before.
- 1:02:25She has she got on she. Was fine guys, it was just her
- 1:02:28fur got singed. She was weighing on the stove
- 1:02:32and yeah, her fur happened to be on the hot part of the stove and
- 1:02:35it got like a little burned, kind of like a little
- 1:02:36marshmallow. Yeah, she was fine.
- 1:02:38We checked her skin. Everything was good.
- 1:02:40It was she had. She has such long fur.
- 1:02:42Nothing. She was more furious than
- 1:02:44anything that I pulled her off. Of the top.
- 1:02:48Yeah, that's funny. Yeah.
- 1:02:50So yeah, that was that's her favorite part.
- 1:02:53No, obviously her favorite part was when the planchette was just
- 1:02:57going crazy on the Ouija board. Why?
- 1:02:59How much fun would she have had chasing that thing around?
- 1:03:03Oh. Man, she would have loved that.
- 1:03:04Yeah. God, that would be your favorite
- 1:03:06toy. That was like an actual thing.
- 1:03:09Oh, man. Good call.
- 1:03:10Plus she would have fun playing with a demon.
- 1:03:13She would. Yeah, you're right.
- 1:03:14Yeah, she would love to have just like a regular like.
- 1:03:18Oh, so how are things? How are things going?
- 1:03:20Yeah, been a while since we chatted type deal.
- 1:03:23Yeah. Yeah, very, you know.
- 1:03:26Yeah, she'd be like, can we, can we like.
- 1:03:28Boring conversation, can we? Can we cuddle?
- 1:03:30Can we play? I need, I need some kind of
- 1:03:32interaction. My parents suck.
- 1:03:35OK, who'd you relate? To Oh man,
- 1:03:49I that's a tricky one, I'm thinking.
- 1:03:58They're all weird characters. Yeah.
- 1:04:00They're all weird. They're all very like over the
- 1:04:02top. Yeah.
- 1:04:08I guess. I guess I would probably relate
- 1:04:17to, which is like one of the random partygoers that left
- 1:04:23before the noise citation happened.
- 1:04:25OK, hear the sirens and like, Nope, I'm out of here.
- 1:04:28This. That's a sign the party's over
- 1:04:29and I'm not getting involved in that.
- 1:04:31OK, I'll relate to the random guy that was dressed as a clown
- 1:04:37queening up in the heliburger whenever the attack happened
- 1:04:42because that just kind of reminded me of whenever I was
- 1:04:45working my first job at McDonald's and I was wearing
- 1:04:50oversized clothing, weird uniform that didn't like, and
- 1:04:54they called me Happy Jack because I never smiled.
- 1:04:57I remember when we worked at a restaurant together and they
- 1:05:01only issued one shirt per employee and mine was a double
- 1:05:05XL and they're like you need to purchase one that fits you
- 1:05:08better and I was like you probably should purchase that
- 1:05:10for me since this is what you provided to me.
- 1:05:13Yeah, right. Yeah.
- 1:05:14Oh man, those people. Man.
- 1:05:18OK. OK.
- 1:05:19So Next up. Next.
- 1:05:23Up we have the dream. Sequel, dream sequel.
- 1:05:27I mean, I don't know, but I have like a storyline I specifically
- 1:05:32want but I want answers to like what is the whole connection
- 1:05:36with the spirit realm and why is his dad afraid of him?
- 1:05:40Yeah, I guess, yeah. I wonder if like, the news has
- 1:05:47also caused for Helaburger to become super popular and it's
- 1:05:52now expanded. So it's in New York, which means
- 1:05:55that Fisher's there. I want to see like a satanic
- 1:05:58panic like rebuke against Helaburger.
- 1:06:01Like they get real upset about like the name, the menu item
- 1:06:05names, and the commercial is the fact that it's associated with
- 1:06:09all of those. Killings.
- 1:06:10So like it's abandoned now? It's an abandoned building.
- 1:06:14The old Helaburger. Yeah, so, so there's like, it's
- 1:06:18a urban legend now, that Horny the clown, if you go over there,
- 1:06:22he still wanders around and he'll kill you.
- 1:06:25And of course, like somebody tries it and gets killed.
- 1:06:28Exactly. That's like the opening scene.
- 1:06:30And yeah, well, you know, it's not like the plot from this
- 1:06:34movie was super important anyways.
- 1:06:35Exactly. He's not one of like loosens
- 1:06:37that we. Don't want to get in the way of
- 1:06:39our story, people. Yeah.
- 1:06:40So yeah, I think that that's like a good little premise for
- 1:06:43it right there and then. Yeah, that'd be fun.
- 1:06:45I dig it. OK.
- 1:06:47OK. All right, so it is time for
- 1:06:50reviews. OK.
- 1:06:52I am curious to see cuz you were very excited about these.
- 1:06:57We read both reviews no matter what, right?
- 1:06:59OK, well I guess since we both liked it I'll do the negative
- 1:07:02first. OK so it was 3 out of 10 on IMDb
- 1:07:09titled More Cheese than Meat and the cheese is rancid in moldy.
- 1:07:13No. Yeah, this is like right when
- 1:07:15this movie released to back in June of 2007.
- 1:07:18Dang. I rented this one on largely
- 1:07:22marginally positive reviews I've read, expecting a fun little
- 1:07:25gory horror flick. What I got, however, was a
- 1:07:28pretty uninspired Nightmare on Elm Street retread, but with a
- 1:07:31clown fast food mascot. The jokes fall extremely flat
- 1:07:35and the horror just isn't there. Plus it has a non ending ending
- 1:07:38of the kind that I've really grown to detest throughout the
- 1:07:41years, leaving it open for a sequel which I'm not hoping for
- 1:07:44in the least bit. Perhaps it would have helped the
- 1:07:46film if any of the characters were fleshed out in the lately
- 1:07:49spit. But the way it is now, the movie
- 1:07:52had me thinking about how much creeper it might be.
- 1:07:55If it how much creeper it might have been had it been the
- 1:07:59deranged Burger King mascot. You watch those commercials and
- 1:08:02play Sneak King and not be terrified.
- 1:08:05I hated the burger. King.
- 1:08:07It was so scary. I hated it.
- 1:08:09I was. I was terrified of him too.
- 1:08:11Oh my God, that's just unlocked a.
- 1:08:13Memory yeah Oh yeah before I forget the film also can boast
- 1:08:17and I use the term loosely a forgettable cameo by Mr. super
- 1:08:20size me Morgan Spurlock and a role so atrociously acted that
- 1:08:24one of the people from the group of individuals that he made fun
- 1:08:27of during a college lecturer can act circles around no I'm not
- 1:08:31going to use the term he did you have the Internet look it up my
- 1:08:34grade the. I'm sorry, I think Morgan
- 1:08:38Spurlock's cameo was fucking hilarious.
- 1:08:40Yeah, I thought it was funny too.
- 1:08:41I don't know what he said. But you know.
- 1:08:44Yeah, I thought I. Don't I got a lot of opinions
- 1:08:46about the guy himself, but I think the fact that they took
- 1:08:48the Super size me guy and. Made it was fitting in a.
- 1:08:51Hamburger. That's funny.
- 1:08:52Yeah, I also thought he did a good job too.
- 1:08:54I don't care who you are, it's funny right there.
- 1:08:57Yeah. OK.
- 1:09:00So yeah, I mean, they bring up a lot of the things that we said,
- 1:09:03Yeah, non ending. You know, it's not really super
- 1:09:08inspired either. Yeah, I mean, I guess if you let
- 1:09:12things like that get in the way. Yeah, I mean, I don't mind it
- 1:09:15myself, but it. It didn't take itself seriously
- 1:09:20enough for me to be bothered by that.
- 1:09:21If it tried to sell itself as a serious horror movie, I would be
- 1:09:24a lot more bothered by those things.
- 1:09:26But it felt like they were like kind of looking at it and being
- 1:09:29like, I know. I really do want a movie with
- 1:09:31somebody using the Burger King guy though.
- 1:09:35That would be great. I would love to see that.
- 1:09:37I don't know, it's scared. That I could.
- 1:09:39I'm going to be like, those commercials freaked me out.
- 1:09:42I know. I feel like that was
- 1:09:43intentional. They did a good job with that
- 1:09:45because it was, I don't know, there's something about them.
- 1:09:48And then even the game itself was really unsettling.
- 1:09:52So the positive review is a 10 out of 10.
- 1:09:55You have to like bad horror movies to enjoy this one.
- 1:09:58Absolutely. I love bad horror movies.
- 1:10:01The crappier the better. So that is why I love this
- 1:10:03movie. It's right up there with blood
- 1:10:06sucking babes from Burbank or Jackhammer Massacre, or killer
- 1:10:10clowns from outer space or even prehistoric bimbos in Armageddon
- 1:10:13City. You can't sit down to this movie
- 1:10:16and think it's gonna be Scarface or something.
- 1:10:18You gotta sit down and think it's.
- 1:10:19I'm sorry, Killer clowns from Outer space has like got a
- 1:10:22whole. Different.
- 1:10:22It's good, yeah, or I think it's as bad as Citizen Kane, but All
- 1:10:27in all it is a good movie with mindless killing and a killer
- 1:10:30clown. The story is awesome.
- 1:10:32It's like Prom Night or Terror Train or Dead Above ground.
- 1:10:35It's a revenge type movie where somebody dies and comes back to
- 1:10:38kill the kids of the people that killed him.
- 1:10:40I quite enjoyed it and I can't wait for this squill.
- 1:10:45That was the part that made me laugh.
- 1:10:51What a fun little typo. Dream squeal.
- 1:10:54Dream squeal. Yeah, I mean, that's the thing
- 1:10:59too. So I get I'm in the middle here.
- 1:11:00I like bad movies and this like hit the bad parts that I enjoy.
- 1:11:04But there's also parts about it that were underwhelming that I
- 1:11:07wanted more. From I just wish it was like a
- 1:11:09bad movie but also wasn't so obnoxiously 2007, Yeah.
- 1:11:13See, it took, it took all the bad from the 2000s and like and
- 1:11:17in this movie, we have everything.
- 1:11:20We present. Yeah, you do not want from this
- 1:11:23era. We have it here.
- 1:11:24Everything Jesse has gone on record multiple times saying she
- 1:11:27hates. Exactly, and was in this time
- 1:11:30Jesse hates herself. Yeah, I've gone on record saying
- 1:11:35that. Exactly.
- 1:11:35Yeah. So I, I feel like that like
- 1:11:38perfectly explains why I'm right in the middle 5 1/2.
- 1:11:41It's got both things that I like and hate.
- 1:11:43So it's just I'm conflicted. OK, All right.
- 1:11:47So I I reckon it's time for us to say to be or not to be.
- 1:11:53I say, yeah, go for it. Yeah, I I would watch this again
- 1:11:57and I would recommend it to the right kind of weirdos in our
- 1:12:01groups. Yeah, I wouldn't watch this
- 1:12:02after not watching Terror Fire Three.
- 1:12:04Yeah, because I want to give it a fair shake.
- 1:12:06I don't want, I don't want to stack it up against Art the
- 1:12:08Clown because Art is in like a whole tear on his own at this
- 1:12:11point. Yeah, he's like becoming a
- 1:12:14modern horror icon. Sienna's becoming a modern
- 1:12:18horror final girl. Like Scream Queen.
- 1:12:22It's just it's really not fair to have watched them
- 1:12:25back-to-back the way we did. No, that's not.
- 1:12:28But I still had fun, Yeah. And I think that I'll have fun
- 1:12:32watching it again sometime down the line, yeah.
- 1:12:34And if you know, they announce some like 20 years later sequel.
- 1:12:39I'm down. I would watch.
- 1:12:40It see, here's the thing. I could see that being.
- 1:12:43I could see it being a Toby original.
- 1:12:47It would be it would be fitting for A to be original.
- 1:12:50I think so. Yeah, maybe, maybe, maybe we'll
- 1:12:53get it one day. OK.
- 1:12:55All right. So I think that does it for
- 1:12:57drive through our to be or not to be this week, this month, I
- 1:13:00should say so. All right, we want to give a
- 1:13:05shout out to all our cool patrons or bubbies we have, Joe.
- 1:13:08Freitatron. As is his name Amber Michael or
- 1:13:12Zombie Tyler Chad and. Chancellor.
- 1:13:19That's it. Yeah, Yeah, All right.
- 1:13:21We did it. That's everybody.
- 1:13:24Unless you want to be a part of it, you can be added on to this
- 1:13:27Sue and it links. Right at the bottom of the show
- 1:13:29notes. Folks, yeah, we appreciate it.

- 1:13:34stickers. I see some of y'all got the
- 1:13:36Bride of Chucky stickers finally.
- 1:13:38I mailed that shit out like at the start of the month.
- 1:13:40He really did, by the way, people.
- 1:13:41He made a big point of. It if you're just now getting
- 1:13:43it, I'm sorry, but I did my best to.
- 1:13:45Get it? We are not part of the USPS.
- 1:13:47That's not like that's not on us.
- 1:13:49I just, I want you to know I'm, I'm, I'm trying to stay on top
- 1:13:53of those. So yeah.
- 1:13:53We still have the confetti in our mailbox.
- 1:13:56Yeah, we do, actually, Yeah. And I'm glad to see that it's
- 1:13:58actually in some of yours too. Yeah, that's kind of funny.
- 1:14:02That was a spur of the moment thing.
- 1:14:04Like I had some confetti and I was like, look, that's fun.
- 1:14:07Yeah, we've had to order more since like, we need confetti for
- 1:14:09the envelopes. So yeah, if you guys want to be
- 1:14:13patrons, you know, hop on over there, we got all kinds of cool
- 1:14:15things like those stickers, so. Or you can show support in
- 1:14:21freeways. Yeah, like, whatever you're
- 1:14:22listening on, just go ahead and follow us.
- 1:14:24That way, you know, when there's new episodes and it also tells
- 1:14:28their algorithm we're worth following.
- 1:14:29You can give us a rating of five stars, 7 stars, 10 stars.
- 1:14:33I don't know how high your rating system goes on what
- 1:14:35you're listening on. Probably 5.
- 1:14:37Yeah. But if you do seven, yeah, you
- 1:14:39know, please, please do if you can.
- 1:14:41Yeah, leave a review if you want to write stuff out.
- 1:14:45I'm liking all these comments that we're getting on the
- 1:14:47episode. Yeah, those are published on our
- 1:14:49Spotify. So if you're listening on
- 1:14:50Spotify, you could see what people are.
- 1:14:51Saying yes and the person who said they want a tall boy.
- 1:14:54Tall boy. Believe me when I said that I
- 1:14:58immediately started trying to find tall boy.
- 1:15:00Koozies if we can see if we can find a way to make this happen.
- 1:15:03Yeah, if I can, if we can print that and like give it to some
- 1:15:06people, I would be 100. Percent.
- 1:15:07All right, I want it for myself. Travis was being very secretive
- 1:15:12about the episode art and he was like, I'm doing this for you.
- 1:15:17Yeah. It's amazing and I love it so
- 1:15:20much and I want it on a koozie so.
- 1:15:23So, yeah, you know, those are all the ways that you can show
- 1:15:26your support. We appreciate if you do that,
- 1:15:28you can also share the episodes when you get them.
- 1:15:30So that's also nice to give your own little mini reviews of our
