- 0:23chickens. Hey everybody.
- 0:28Good morning from the chicken coop so So today's a little food
- 0:32for thought, okay, have a client.
- 0:35That's absolutely a worrier self-proclaimed.
- 0:39This isn't something. She would not tell you as well.
- 0:42Not talking out of turn. Here, she is a self-proclaimed
- 0:46Warrior worries about everything and lets me know, it regularly
- 0:49and we've been working on it and is it as bad as it was, when we
- 0:52started, not even close. But does she still do it?
- 0:55Yes. So in my attempt to influence
- 0:58her and let her understand exactly what's going on, I did
- 1:00some research and I wanted to share that with you guys today.
- 1:03So you may have heard the numbers before I have probably
- 1:07mentioned them before that, you know, the average human being
- 1:10has between 60 to 80 thousand thoughts a day.
- 1:13Now, those numbers I want to be really clear.
- 1:15Those numbers have been around for a number of years, and I
- 1:17think that they're probably a little skewed at this point.
- 1:21Meaning I think they're low compared to what it probably is.
- 1:25Now with the rate of speed at which information comes to us in
- 1:28which we have to deal with it. Also, I think those numbers are
- 1:30a little A little bit just for conversations sake, we are going
- 1:33to go and with those numbers. So, think about it 60, to 80
- 1:38thousand thoughts a day in the scary thing, is that two-thirds
- 1:41of them are repeated from the day before?
- 1:43That's what the estimates are. And you know, if we really think
- 1:46about how we pattern our days and how we pattern our thoughts,
- 1:49those things are probably really true think about how many times
- 1:53you think about the same things over and over, think about how
- 1:56many times you get irritated about the same things over and
- 1:59over. Now, here's the Linked back to
- 2:01my worry, your client. So in my research and figuring
- 2:05this out, I'm thinking, gosh, you know, she's constantly
- 2:08focused on this. So let's just do some math.
- 2:11If you spend, I'm being very generous with these numbers, by
- 2:14the way, if you spend two hours a day worrying, all right, we
- 2:18just say for low numbers, out of 24 hours.
- 2:21I spend two of them worrying over the course of a month, you
- 2:28lose. So, I mean, think about the
- 2:31number of hours that you lose when you start to do this.
- 2:35Now, when you tally this all up and you say, I'm going to take
- 2:38this out over the, the spectrum of a year.
- 2:42You end up losing 30.4, one day's 30.4, one days in a year,
- 2:49so you've basically lost a month to whirring.
- 2:51Now, those numbers were generous in the sense that it was only
- 2:55two hours a day. What if you are four-hour-a-day
- 2:57Warrior? What if you just sit and
- 2:59despair? R and it's an eight-hour day.
- 3:02Think about what you're losing from the projections of
- 3:06positivity, or being able to move forward, and then take that
- 3:10information and say, if I'm doing that for that, number of
- 3:14hours, I'm actually attracting all that crap to me.
- 3:17So again, we can extrapolate. We wonder why things happen.
- 3:21We wonder why we have the Doom and Gloom umbrella.
- 3:23Over us, we under why we, you know, world is like Eeyore, you
- 3:27know, think of e or he loses a year.
- 3:30Of his life worrying regularly. I know he's a fictional
- 3:34character by the way, but I'm just using it as an example, but
- 3:37you get the point. This is crazy when you start to
- 3:40do the numbers. So I'm going to challenge all of
- 3:43you guys to start really thinking about how much time you
- 3:46spend worrying. So here we are at the end of the
- 3:48year, you know it's I'm shooting this and I Tobar Sixth and we
- 3:54are getting ready to go. We're in that last quarter of
- 3:58the year and I'm going to throw it out there.
- 4:00That you guys need to do a 90 Day Challenge of, I'm getting
- 4:03rid of my negative thoughts and I'm going to keep track of them
- 4:06and I'm not going to allow them. So if I break the pattern over
- 4:09the first, you know, 30 days of the challenge.
- 4:14It's still not going to be clear, but the second 30 days,
- 4:17you can push it and it gets a little bit easier.
- 4:19And by the third 30 days and we finish up the year, you should
- 4:22be able to say, okay I am spending more time on the
- 4:25positive realm than the - realm the first challenge part of this
- 4:29challenge. Is it sucks?
- 4:31Let me be really clear about it. When you start recognizing how
- 4:33much your negative thoughts take over, and I'm talking it, keep
- 4:36these can be stupid things like, you know, okay?
- 4:40They're dirty dishes in the sink and I want to kill everyone in
- 4:42my house. It can be woe is me the economy,
- 4:46your business? It can be anything, it can be
- 4:48like oh my God, laundry again is just awful.
- 4:51I don't want to do laundry and I don't want to fold clothes whaaa
- 4:54and you and you're just spending all the time in worry and
- 4:57negativity, worry and negativity.
- 5:00I like, what's going to happen. How do I know if this is going
- 5:02to happen? Nobody knows what's going to
- 5:04happen. Let me tell you something,
- 5:06nobody knows what's going to happen.
- 5:07Even the best predictors out there.
- 5:09Can't predict what's going to happen.
- 5:11I spent the last couple weeks watching this whole thing unfold
- 5:15with the hurricane here where we live in South Carolina and they
- 5:19we were told it was going to hit in one spot and guess what?
- 5:22We were also told we live in a cone of uncertainty, I love when
- 5:26they use that term right for me, a certainty driven person when
- 5:29they use the term a One of uncertainty drives me up a wall.
- 5:33However, guess what? Didn't hit.
- 5:35Exactly on us. It moves North.
- 5:38We never know what's going to happen.
- 5:39None of us. So I think what's so important?
- 5:42What's so important is to push the positivity, push yourself to
- 5:46believe something greater than what is.
- 5:49It is your, the limitation, you know, I often been said to a
- 5:53client's stop arguing for your limitations argue for your
- 5:56greatness. Why do you want to argue for
- 5:58your limitations? It sucks.
- 6:00It sucks. And guess what?
- 6:02Every day you get a little bit older and do you really want to
- 6:06be this way? So we're going to do away with
- 6:09the whirring, take the challenge on say for the next 90 days.
- 6:12I am going to work on, removing worry from my focus, I'm going
- 6:16to remove worry and I'm going to put in positivity and every time
- 6:19a negative thought comes up, I'm going to challenge it with,
- 6:22what's a positive way to look at this?
- 6:23What's another way? I can change this or just walk
- 6:26away and don't allow yourself to have your joy.
- 6:30I stolen. So I hope you guys have a very
- 6:32blessed day today and don't worry we'll be here tomorrow.
- 6:36See you then? Bye.
- 6:30I stolen. So I hope you guys have a very
- 6:32blessed day today and don't worry we'll be here tomorrow.
- 6:36See you then? Bye.
