- 0:03Speaker 1: Just when I think you couldn't possibly be any dumber.
- 0:07Speaker 1: What is the dumbest thing you did as a teenager?
- 0:10Speaker 1: And of course this is one of those stories that
- 0:13Speaker 1: when you find out where it's from, you go, oh.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Yeah, that fits.
- 0:16Speaker 3: Oh gosh, what happened.
- 0:18Speaker 1: There's a teenager took a joy ride on a riding
- 0:20Speaker 1: lawnmower into a convenience store, crashed through the front and
- 0:26Speaker 1: it made national news. Where would you get if you
- 0:29Speaker 1: had to get Florida? Right off the bat, it's from Florida.
- 0:33Speaker 2: I didn't even need.
- 0:35Speaker 1: To scroll down to find out that answer, but it
- 0:37Speaker 1: did get me thinking I've done some pretty dumb things
- 0:39Speaker 1: as a teenager. There was one time, one time. Now
- 0:43Speaker 1: I will stay or I will say for the rest
- 0:45Speaker 1: of my life. I didn't technically do it.
- 0:48Speaker 4: I was just with okay, okay, built my association.
- 0:53Speaker 1: That's exactly what happened. I didn't do it, but I
- 0:56Speaker 1: did drive there. I had a buddy and I and
- 1:00Speaker 1: there was this old photo and it's like a poster
- 1:05Speaker 1: now where someone spray painted Clapton is God on the
- 1:10Speaker 1: side of a British like train station.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Eric Clapton famous guitar play. If you don't know.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Well, my buddy and I were sixteen years old and
- 1:19Speaker 1: we thought we were the next you know, Eric Clapton
- 1:21Speaker 1: Jimmy Hendrick's duo. We were playing guitar all the time.
- 1:24Speaker 1: We thought it was great. So we went to our
- 1:27Speaker 1: former middle school where he spray painted clapped in his
- 1:31Speaker 1: God on the school stop and I sat there and watched,
- 1:36Speaker 1: and of course we got caught. We got in big
- 1:38Speaker 1: trouble and it was you got.
- 1:39Speaker 3: How did you? I can't even imagine.
- 1:41Speaker 2: How explain this even better? For all, we didn't break
- 1:45Speaker 2: into the school.
- 1:45Speaker 1: It was on the outside of the school, but it
- 1:47Speaker 1: was It was in the middle of like a national
- 1:52Speaker 1: teacher conference at the school in broad daylight. It was
- 1:56Speaker 1: like two in the afternoon. There were a hundred cars
- 1:59Speaker 1: in the parking lot.
- 2:00Speaker 4: But I'm not trying to say that you are stupid,
- 2:03Speaker 4: but that is stupid.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Why would you do that?
- 2:07Speaker 2: Just young and dumb? Wow, young and dumb.
- 2:10Speaker 3: I mean, well, we're the consequences. What happened to you?
- 2:13Speaker 1: Oh we had to like pay a fine and I
- 2:15Speaker 1: got sts. If you don't know what that is, not, well,
- 2:20Speaker 1: what's the sentence to serve? It's where you basically like,
- 2:25Speaker 1: if you ever driving on the highway and you see
- 2:26Speaker 1: the people in the jackets cleaning up the garbage or
- 2:29Speaker 1: picking up the park or whatever, it's basically.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Like community service.
- 2:33Speaker 1: I like to change it in say community service. Yeah,
- 2:35Speaker 1: but we weren't really serving the community by choice.
- 2:39Speaker 3: You didn't volunteer for that.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Clearly we weren't the greatest criminals trying to get this away,
- 2:43Speaker 1: get away with this at two in the afternoon during
- 2:45Speaker 1: some big, giant national like teacher conference.
- 2:47Speaker 4: That really when you said the dumbest thing, that really
- 2:50Speaker 4: was dumb.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Yeah, not very very smart.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I can't be the only one, though, who was joy
- 2:55Speaker 1: ridden a lawnmower into a store or painting it out
- 2:57Speaker 1: of school in broad daylight seven zero one two eight
- 3:01Speaker 1: zero one nine eight seven.
- 3:02Speaker 2: And you ever do something dumb as a teenager.
- 3:04Speaker 4: The thing is, I'm such a rule follower and a
- 3:07Speaker 4: scaredy cat that I really didn't do anything because when
- 3:09Speaker 4: I was eleven, I got caught ditching school and I
- 3:13Speaker 4: you know, suffered severer consequences. My mom grounded me for
- 3:17Speaker 4: four weeks. But in our house, if you were grounded,
- 3:20Speaker 4: that meant you stayed in your room. You had two
- 3:21Speaker 4: bathroom breaks, and all meals were inside your room. So
- 3:24Speaker 4: I didn't want to go through that again.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Jail.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Yes, I was in home jail. So after that I.
- 3:29Speaker 4: Really didn't do anything as a teenager because I was scare.
- 3:32Speaker 3: She scared me straight.
- 3:33Speaker 1: I did not do anything ever again it worked, Yeah, Mark,
- 3:37Speaker 1: what'd you do?
- 3:38Speaker 5: I convinced my brother that there was a cupcake in
- 3:40Speaker 5: the tree in her backyard.
- 3:41Speaker 2: He climbed it and fell and broke his arm.
- 3:44Speaker 3: I don't mean to laugh.
- 3:45Speaker 1: I bet mom and dad were real thrilled there. That
- 3:49Speaker 1: is the most boy thing I've ever had. That is
- 3:52Speaker 1: literally the most like boy mom, boy dad thing of
- 3:55Speaker 1: all time. My brother once got me to drink you
- 3:59Speaker 1: know what, the stuff you put on like a cut.
- 4:02Speaker 2: To clean it.
- 4:03Speaker 4: The hydrogen peroxide.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Yeah, it comes in that little brown looking bottle thing.
- 4:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:08Speaker 1: My brother once told me that was apple juice. I
- 4:10Speaker 1: took a shot of that when I was about eight,
- 4:11Speaker 1: So this explains a lot. My mom was not happy,
- 4:16Speaker 1: jenn O, what'd you do?
- 4:17Speaker 4: I cut my own bangs right before school pictures and
- 4:20Speaker 4: not even a little trim.
- 4:21Speaker 3: I went full. I've never seen hair before, and my
- 4:25Speaker 3: mom cried.
- 4:25Speaker 1: The photographer had to tield my head a certain way.
- 4:28Speaker 3: To hide it. That's nice that the photographer even tried
- 4:31Speaker 3: to help you out. Celebrating life's little victories.
- 4:39Speaker 5: Every morning we practice gratitude on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 4:43Speaker 2: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a basket.
- 4:46Speaker 3: JOm busted out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 4:48Speaker 5: Sure your little victories with us at seven oh one
- 4:51Speaker 5: two eight oh one ninety eight.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Seven, kids, I also needed to win that day, Angie.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Do you have a little victory for us this morning?
- 4:58Speaker 4: We had a really great yesterday, myself, Mike and the boys.
- 5:03Speaker 4: Because you'll like this, Gabe. Mike had dropped his bike
- 5:08Speaker 4: off at Shields to get the chain read something I
- 5:12Speaker 4: don't know. I'm not part of the bike community, and
- 5:15Speaker 4: so yesterday it was done and he got to go
- 5:19Speaker 4: to Shields to pick up his bike. However, me and
- 5:22Speaker 4: the kiddos were in toe, so we decided to act
- 5:26Speaker 4: brand new at Shields as though we have never been there.
- 5:29Speaker 3: So we did all the things.
- 5:30Speaker 4: We took pictures at the little Greetings from Fargo sign.
- 5:33Speaker 3: They have that huge chair that you can sit in
- 5:36Speaker 3: and take a picture. Yep, we did that.
- 5:38Speaker 4: They took a picture by the Bison that was there,
- 5:41Speaker 4: and then that little shooting game that they have.
- 5:44Speaker 3: Oh, sure, we played that for a chunk of time.
- 5:47Speaker 4: Someone was already doing the little bowling lanes or whatever,
- 5:49Speaker 4: so we didn't do that.
- 5:50Speaker 3: But it was just fun to play tourists at Shields.
- 5:54Speaker 4: Yeah, Like we had a great time and so that
- 5:57Speaker 4: was it was just fun. It was fun to do
- 5:59Speaker 4: that on an afternoon where we hadn't really planned to
- 6:02Speaker 4: do anything.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Yeah. It was one of those spur of the moment moments.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Yeah, and the kids were really happy to do it.
- 6:09Speaker 4: And anytime you can get the kids to smile and
- 6:12Speaker 4: laugh and have a good time, that is a major W.
- 6:15Speaker 2: I love me a trip to Shields.
- 6:17Speaker 1: It is kind of fun just to fun the goofy silly,
- 6:20Speaker 1: funny things in there.
- 6:20Speaker 4: They won't go on the ferris wheel with me, and
- 6:24Speaker 4: I don't know what they're Yeah, I don't know what
- 6:25Speaker 4: their aversion is to that.
- 6:27Speaker 3: They're just not into it. I don't know. But for me,
- 6:29Speaker 3: every time I go, I'm taking a ride on that thing.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe they don't want to be Maybe it's not
- 6:33Speaker 1: that they're like afraid of heights or anything. Maybe they
- 6:35Speaker 1: just don't want to be seen on the ferris wheel
- 6:36Speaker 1: with their mod That's.
- 6:37Speaker 3: What it is. Yeah, but I'm a cool mom.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I tell you what, Angie, you might be the
- 6:43Speaker 1: coolest mom on earth. But sadly, I don't know if
- 6:46Speaker 1: you'll ever be as cool as a fifteen year old.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Just ask them, you know what I mean?
- 6:50Speaker 3: That's true.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I got that same problem too me.
- 6:52Speaker 3: I won't be as cool as a nine year old either.
- 6:54Speaker 1: That's see, this little victory now turned into it.
- 6:58Speaker 3: No, now I feel bad. Well, it was a great time.
- 7:01Speaker 3: What about you, Gabe.
- 7:02Speaker 1: I got home yesterday from work and let me tell you,
- 7:07Speaker 1: I opened up my fridge. I had a little half
- 7:10Speaker 1: leftover Jersey Mike sandwich and then there were these leftovers
- 7:15Speaker 1: in the fridge. It was like this chicken Teriaki vegetable
- 7:19Speaker 1: bowl thing, and my wife said I could eat it.
- 7:21Speaker 1: I got home and had the dope, the dopus lunch
- 7:26Speaker 1: of all time. That Jersey Mike sub hits so.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Not better. It's not better, but it hits so good.
- 7:34Speaker 1: The next day sat in the fridge for a little
- 7:37Speaker 1: bit and then I dove right into this chicken Teriaki
- 7:40Speaker 1: vegetable bowl. I was useless to Planet Earth by about
- 7:44Speaker 1: two o'clock yesterday, absolutely usefully.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Did you heat up the chicken KARAOKEI?
- 7:49Speaker 4: Yeah, oh yeah, okay, YEA curious about how people do
- 7:53Speaker 4: their leftovers?
- 7:54Speaker 1: Yeah, and Cory sh'll eat leftover. She's not like one
- 7:56Speaker 1: of those like no leftovers kind of people. Yeah, she
- 7:58Speaker 1: just didn't want it. I housed both those things in
- 8:02Speaker 1: i'd say thirteen minutes flat and could not move for
- 8:06Speaker 1: the foreseeable six hours.
- 8:09Speaker 2: You definitely.
- 8:10Speaker 4: When we do little victories, you know, you always seem
- 8:13Speaker 4: happy about whatever the victory is. But when it's a
- 8:16Speaker 4: food related one, the passion in your voice and the
- 8:20Speaker 4: sparkle in your eye game.
- 8:22Speaker 1: It's unmatched. On the way, we've got Taylor Swift. We
- 8:25Speaker 1: have the tea coming up as well. Here on Big
- 8:27Speaker 1: ninety eight point seven. I tell you what if you
- 8:29Speaker 1: go to Jersey Mike's today, all right, get the ultra
- 8:32Speaker 1: big sandwich, the gigantic save yourself half and put that
- 8:36Speaker 1: bad boy in the fridge and have it for lunch
- 8:38Speaker 1: when you get home.
- 8:38Speaker 2: From work, or dinner when you get home from work.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Your life will be changed.
- 8:41Speaker 3: You convinced me.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Not that exciting, right, No, baby, arriving or anything. But
- 8:53Speaker 1: I have a baby shower I have to go to
- 8:55Speaker 1: this weekend, and that maybe I don't like that you
- 8:58Speaker 1: said it like that baby shower I have to go
- 9:01Speaker 1: to is for my very own baby.
- 9:02Speaker 3: Oh my gosh. Yes, baby shower time. But it's not
- 9:07Speaker 3: here in town.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Right, No, it will not.
- 9:09Speaker 1: So. Corey is from southeastern Minnesota, right, I grew up
- 9:13Speaker 1: in Minneapolis.
- 9:14Speaker 2: We are up here in Fargo.
- 9:16Speaker 1: It just happens to sort of work out for everybody
- 9:19Speaker 1: that a lot of these big family events are just
- 9:22Speaker 1: held in Minneapolis. It's a solid kind of halfway point
- 9:26Speaker 1: for just about everybody. And we both have family in
- 9:28Speaker 1: Minneapolis too. But I'm not going. We will be well
- 9:32Speaker 1: that's cool.
- 9:32Speaker 3: No, I did.
- 9:33Speaker 4: I wanted to go, but I just I can't make
- 9:36Speaker 4: it work with my schedule with the kids and stuff
- 9:38Speaker 4: this weekend.
- 9:39Speaker 3: But the intention was there, and I was invited.
- 9:42Speaker 4: For the record, that's right. But I'm excited for you
- 9:45Speaker 4: to have baby shower time. I did get stuff off
- 9:48Speaker 4: of the registry. So just cause I'm not going doesn't
- 9:50Speaker 4: mean I'm not gonna hook you guys up.
- 9:51Speaker 1: Okay, I appreciate that. Yeah, and uh, Angie, let me know,
- 9:54Speaker 1: yesterday she had two what.
- 9:56Speaker 3: Did you have to tequila soda?
- 9:58Speaker 2: To tequila sodas?
- 10:00Speaker 1: And then when shopping at targets, so I know, Angie
- 10:02Speaker 1: blew a boatload of money on whatever that baby registry
- 10:06Speaker 1: gift is. But we will be going, and we were
- 10:09Speaker 1: gonna kind of I think these have gotten more popular.
- 10:11Speaker 2: Maybe they haven't.
- 10:12Speaker 1: I don't know anything about babies other than from my
- 10:14Speaker 1: dad class. But we we were going to do kind
- 10:18Speaker 1: of a joint baby shower, just I could go, my
- 10:21Speaker 1: buddies could go, Cory's family and her girlfriends could go
- 10:24Speaker 1: in my whatever. And it turns out Corey has a
- 10:28Speaker 1: giant family and I just have a lot of friends,
- 10:30Speaker 1: and we could not invite like one hundred and fifty.
- 10:34Speaker 1: I mean, we're not trying to have like a wedding, right,
- 10:37Speaker 1: And so we decided to split it up where the
- 10:39Speaker 1: girls will kind of be at this one thing and
- 10:41Speaker 1: the guys are all going to my buddy's house and
- 10:44Speaker 1: we're just gonna sit in the backyard and I don't know,
- 10:46Speaker 1: grill stuff and drink beers and and the baby bring diapers.
- 10:50Speaker 2: That's the one rule.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Oh, I love that.
- 10:52Speaker 1: That is the one rule for the fellas the easiest,
- 10:55Speaker 1: most simple thing on the entire registry to wa buy.
- 10:59Speaker 1: You don't have to go look up some charts. You
- 11:01Speaker 1: don't just buy a pack of diapers. Yeah, don't care
- 11:03Speaker 1: what size, don't care any of that, because you'll buy
- 11:06Speaker 1: them all exactly. So we made it very simple, and
- 11:09Speaker 1: I was kind of wondering, is that normal. Do people
- 11:12Speaker 1: do baby showers this way or are they mostly just
- 11:15Speaker 1: kind of a lady's thing. I've only been invited to
- 11:17Speaker 1: a handful of baby showers in my life, and Gary's
- 11:19Speaker 1: been to about one hundred.
- 11:20Speaker 4: So I feel like most of the time it is
- 11:22Speaker 4: just a girl thing. But I went to a baby
- 11:25Speaker 4: shower when I was pregnant with Aiden, and I was
- 11:28Speaker 4: five months pregnant and my my the baby daddy, he
- 11:33Speaker 4: was like, we're gonna go to my coworker's baby shower.
- 11:36Speaker 4: And I was like, you're going though, and he's like, yeah,
- 11:38Speaker 4: it's co ed, And I thought, what does that even
- 11:40Speaker 4: look like because this is in twenty ten and I
- 11:42Speaker 4: had never heard of a co ed baby shower. Yeah,
- 11:44Speaker 4: So when I get there, it's just in one room,
- 11:48Speaker 4: you drop off your gift, and then in the backyard
- 11:52Speaker 4: she had.
- 11:52Speaker 3: A DJ, and she had yeah, and she had.
- 11:56Speaker 4: A margarita machine and then just like an open bar
- 11:59Speaker 4: situation and a bunch of food and that was her baby.
- 12:02Speaker 3: Shower and so it sounds like a party out.
- 12:06Speaker 4: And so we didn't play any baby shower games. Low key,
- 12:09Speaker 4: maybe this is unpopular. I hate baby shower games, like,
- 12:12Speaker 4: I hate them so much. Ok, I'm weirdly good at
- 12:14Speaker 4: them and I usually win, but I don't like baby
- 12:17Speaker 4: shower games.
- 12:17Speaker 3: And at my baby shower I didn't for Aiden. I
- 12:20Speaker 3: was like, can we just skip the games?
- 12:22Speaker 4: But my mom and Tim's mom said no, we're doing games.
- 12:27Speaker 3: But I thought that was pretty cool.
- 12:29Speaker 4: So then I was bummed that I was five months
- 12:30Speaker 4: pregnant because I didn't get to get in on this
- 12:32Speaker 4: margarita Michelle. Yeah, but that was the first co ed
- 12:35Speaker 4: one I'd ever seen, and I feel like it just
- 12:37Speaker 4: really gained popularity in the twenty tens and now in
- 12:41Speaker 4: the twenty twenties, like, let's not exclude anyone, Let's have
- 12:44Speaker 4: a party to celebrate that the baby's coming. And honestly,
- 12:47Speaker 4: as long as you bring a gift, you're golden.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Yeah, there's not going to be really any games for
- 12:51Speaker 1: us fellas over at my buddy Jake's house. Other than
- 12:54Speaker 1: that cup me, well, yeah, bags, and can we finish
- 12:57Speaker 1: these hundred bush lights?
- 12:59Speaker 2: So it'll be the only rule on that.
- 13:02Speaker 1: And I will say Angie's very nice and said she
- 13:04Speaker 1: grabbed something from the registry. I got a little bit
- 13:06Speaker 1: of a bone to pick with this whole baby registry
- 13:09Speaker 1: gift situation.
- 13:11Speaker 3: What okay, you're mad? People are getting you things?
- 13:15Speaker 1: Well, every day I get home, every single day, it's
- 13:20Speaker 1: very sweet. I gotta go grab a package, and every
- 13:22Speaker 1: time we open it, I don't know if it Corey
- 13:24Speaker 1: bought something on Amazon or it's a baby gift, right,
- 13:27Speaker 1: And as of late, they have all been these baby gifts,
- 13:30Speaker 1: except I'm starting to notice one thing on this packaging
- 13:34Speaker 1: that I'm starting to have a bit of a beef with.
- 13:37Speaker 1: What Whenever I go grab something on my front porch
- 13:40Speaker 1: and I look at the who it's for, this always
- 13:45Speaker 1: and only says Corey Glitten. Not one package has had
- 13:51Speaker 1: my name on it, not a single one.
- 13:53Speaker 2: It's like, I'm not even a part of the gift giving.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Well, you were only a part of a very small
- 13:59Speaker 3: portion of the pro process to make the baby. So
- 14:02Speaker 3: I think your name doesn't need to be honest.
- 14:04Speaker 1: That's right, very quick process, Yes, minutes met. The Supermom
- 14:17Speaker 1: Hotline is live and cooking right now here, as Mother's
- 14:21Speaker 1: Day is right around the corner. We want to try
- 14:23Speaker 1: to help you do something awesome for the mom in

- 14:29Speaker 4: Yeah, this is super thoughtful and I'm telling you as
- 14:32Speaker 4: a mother, mom is gonna appreciate this. So the Supermom Hotline,

- 14:56Speaker 4: so mom can hear how much you love her on air.
- 14:59Speaker 2: That's right.
- 15:00Speaker 1: One of those messages might sound like this one from Katie.
- 15:03Speaker 2: My mom is awesome because she guys me anything, not anything.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Anything I like that little self correction again, anything I want, well,
- 15:14Speaker 1: anything I need.
- 15:15Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm not spoiled, don't worry about it. But super
- 15:18Speaker 4: sweet and yeah, super easy. So seven oh one four
- 15:22Speaker 4: nine nine six nine zero three. That's the super Mom hotline.
- 15:25Speaker 4: Let us know why your mom is the best.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Yeah, And if you need to see that number or

- 15:44Speaker 2: whatever is your.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Mother the mother in your life?
- 15:47Speaker 2: I like how you put that.
- 15:48Speaker 1: All right, leave that voicemail for mom, And we're excited
- 15:50Speaker 1: to hear all those next week here on Big ninety
- 15:52Speaker 1: eight point seven, before we.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Dive into is it legal?
- 15:57Speaker 1: This is very funny from Christy on the Big ninety
- 15:59Speaker 1: eight point seven Inner Circle group on Facebook. She said,
- 16:02Speaker 1: those street sweepers travel in packs. I just left the
- 16:06Speaker 1: car wash when I encountered them. What a mess, so
- 16:08Speaker 1: much dust. Bad timing for sure, my poor car and
- 16:12Speaker 1: lungs well.
- 16:13Speaker 3: Man right after a corh.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Which is really funny because the other day I was
- 16:18Speaker 1: stuck in a caravan of street sweepers, which I know
- 16:22Speaker 1: they're doing their job. They're trying to keep the streets cleaner.
- 16:24Speaker 1: That's why I am not complaining at all. But those
- 16:26Speaker 1: things can travel at about seven miles an hour. I mean,
- 16:29Speaker 1: they're very slow moving vehicles. And when you're stuck in
- 16:33Speaker 1: a caravan, I was wondering, Ay, could you pass these
- 16:35Speaker 1: or no?
- 16:36Speaker 5: In the world of rules in gray areas, one morning
- 16:38Speaker 5: show dares to ask the hard questions.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Is it illegal for a child to wear that much makeup?
- 16:43Speaker 2: Is it legal?
- 16:44Speaker 5: I understand, I understand it's funny as all can get out,
- 16:47Speaker 5: but is it even legal on Big ninety eight point seven?
- 16:51Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 16:52Speaker 1: So I was driving on the road behind Walmart. If
- 16:54Speaker 1: I'm not I think it's sixty fourth I can't remember
- 16:57Speaker 1: off the top of my head. But and the worst
- 16:59Speaker 1: place to get stuck behind the street sweepers, because it's
- 17:01Speaker 1: just there's one lane and one lane and they can't
- 17:03Speaker 1: go around them. There's cars coming at you, and there's
- 17:06Speaker 1: two yellow lines.
- 17:08Speaker 2: And I was stuck with.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Street sweeper, street sweeper, street sweeper, big garbage truck looking
- 17:14Speaker 1: thing with its lights on, and then me and then
- 17:17Speaker 1: street sweeper behind me. It was quite a group, all right,
- 17:21Speaker 1: And I was wondering, Wow, I don't need to pass these,
- 17:24Speaker 1: but if I wanted to, could I? Apparently it is
- 17:27Speaker 1: not illegal to pass a street sweeper here in Fargo.
- 17:32Speaker 1: This is also a great time to remind you that
- 17:34Speaker 1: I am not a lawyer, and for any real legal advice,
- 17:36Speaker 1: all right, maybe contact them or your local police. Okay,
- 17:39Speaker 1: but you can technically pass them. You can also microwave
- 17:44Speaker 1: fish in the office break room, but the rest of
- 17:46Speaker 1: your office place is gonna hate you for it, all right.
- 17:48Speaker 1: City officials have said, basically, hey, legally sure, morally very
- 17:54Speaker 1: questionable because those street sweepers, they.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Crawl along in about eight miles an hour, just minding
- 17:59Speaker 2: their business, doing their job.
- 18:00Speaker 1: They're cleaning up after all of us, and they're like
- 18:03Speaker 1: a giant, slow moving roomba.
- 18:07Speaker 2: It's trying to do their job.
- 18:08Speaker 1: And when you fly around them, you're basically kind of saying, hey,
- 18:12Speaker 1: get out of my way, and I don't care about
- 18:14Speaker 1: your safety.
- 18:15Speaker 3: Oh okay.
- 18:16Speaker 1: It's kind of like they say, you really shouldn't pass
- 18:18Speaker 1: a snowplow, Like, technically you can do it, but should you.
- 18:22Speaker 3: It's so it's frowned upon.
- 18:23Speaker 1: It's frowned upon. It's not illegal, but it is frowned upon.
- 18:27Speaker 1: So if you do pass one. Just know somewhere here
- 18:30Speaker 1: in the FM area, a street sweeper operator is judging
- 18:33Speaker 1: you as he puts along at nine miles an hour.
- 18:46Speaker 1: I gotta be honest, there was something I learned yesterday,
- 18:48Speaker 1: probably way way, way too late in life. But what
- 18:52Speaker 1: if not this show, Angie, where I can just admit
- 18:54Speaker 1: my faults and get things off my chest.
- 18:56Speaker 3: It makes me feel better.
- 18:58Speaker 1: I would assume that be correct. Yesterday, at thirty five
- 19:03Speaker 1: and like a quarter years old. Uh huh, I didn't
- 19:06Speaker 1: know what RSVP meant. I know what it means. It
- 19:10Speaker 1: means they want you to reply to the thing. Yeah,
- 19:14Speaker 1: but I didn't actually know what RSVP stood for, kind
- 19:18Speaker 1: of like you know, VIP is clearly a vacuum instruction pro.
- 19:22Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, gave you away.
- 19:24Speaker 1: But RSVP, I learned is respond how do you say this?
- 19:29Speaker 2: Respond to CIVU play? Yeah that's pretty good.
- 19:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:32Speaker 2: Yeah, well it took me thirty five years to learn that.
- 19:35Speaker 1: And I am not the only one who woke up
- 19:37Speaker 1: today and did not know what RSVP stood for.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Okay, I promise you I'm not alone in this, right.
- 19:42Speaker 4: I like that I had one over on you. I've
- 19:45Speaker 4: known what that meant for years I didn't have. It's
- 19:48Speaker 4: elementary school.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I need someone to make me feel better.
- 19:51Speaker 1: What's something you learned too late in life? Seven oh
- 19:53Speaker 1: one two eight zero one nine eight seven. And you
- 19:56Speaker 1: there's got to be something that you didn't learn until
- 19:59Speaker 1: maybe a little bit later on in life.
- 20:01Speaker 4: This haunts me because I had never felt so stupid.
- 20:05Speaker 3: I was dating this guy in high school.
- 20:08Speaker 4: I was seventeen, and we were in his car and
- 20:12Speaker 4: I looked at him and I very earnestly asked if
- 20:16Speaker 4: Chevy and Chevrolet were the same thing.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Oh, wow, that's pretty good. That's pretty good.
- 20:23Speaker 4: The genuine expression of oh I'm dating an idiot that
- 20:27Speaker 4: flashed across his face before he you know, composed himself
- 20:31Speaker 4: and was like, yeah, they're the same thing.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Chevy is short for Chevrolet. I felt really dumb.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Wow, I mean, at least mine's in a different language.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Good miss, We have a big shot out here to Bethany,
- 20:44Speaker 1: And I got to give Bethany some credit. It's tough
- 20:46Speaker 1: to admit that you learn something way too late in life.
- 20:49Speaker 1: It can be a little embarrassing, but it's good, you know,
- 20:50Speaker 1: it's good to go through some adversity Bethany. Bethany said,
- 20:53Speaker 1: when you're told not to operate heavy machinery with certain medications,
- 20:59Speaker 1: I didn't realize they meant cars. She always assumed they
- 21:02Speaker 1: meant bulldozers or like construction equipment.
- 21:05Speaker 3: Did you learn something new to I just learned that
- 21:07Speaker 3: right now.
- 21:08Speaker 4: I guess your car is a heavy machiner.
- 21:11Speaker 3: My mind is blood.
- 21:13Speaker 1: And then Tiffany just said, I thought the Mount Oh, Tiffany, Tiffany,
- 21:19Speaker 1: I thought the Mount Rushmore faces occurred naturally by coincidence.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Can't believe I just admitted that. And then finally this
- 21:29Speaker 1: one goes out to Ryan. He said, I thought McGraw
- 21:33Speaker 1: McGraw Hill textbooks were made by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.
- 21:37Speaker 2: That actually that works. I don't think that's where happened.
- 21:40Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I think you're okay on.
- 21:41Speaker 1: That run and people making a book series. It's plausible
- 21:44Speaker 1: one thousand percent. What is something you're willing to admit
- 21:47Speaker 1: you maybe learned a little late in life, and don't
- 21:50Speaker 1: lie to me.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Text me at seven oh one to two eight.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Zero one nine eight seven if you didn't know what
- 21:54Speaker 1: RSVP actually stood for either, and you can use VIP
- 22:00Speaker 1: Professional Vacuum Cleaner at any point today. I never thought
- 22:06Speaker 1: I would find this debate to be so interesting because
- 22:10Speaker 1: I don't know if you can really learn anything about
- 22:12Speaker 1: anyone you know, regardless of what their answer is. Okay,
- 22:17Speaker 1: but there is a hot.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Debate on the internet streets right now.
- 22:21Speaker 3: What is the debate?
- 22:22Speaker 1: Which direction do you face when you're taking a shower?
- 22:27Speaker 1: Do you face forward and let the water like kind
- 22:29Speaker 1: of hit your chest or do you face the other
- 22:32Speaker 1: way and the water kind of runs down your back?
- 22:35Speaker 4: It actually does say something about a person depending on
- 22:38Speaker 4: the answer, because if you want to solidify your position
- 22:42Speaker 4: as a cycle path, then you face the shower head. No,
- 22:47Speaker 4: you always have to have your back to it. That's
- 22:50Speaker 4: how I stand in the shower. The shower head is
- 22:53Speaker 4: the water is beating down my back, not the front.
- 22:56Speaker 3: Who does that? I'm concerned that this is a debate.
- 23:01Speaker 1: I think my dad faces toward the shower when because
- 23:04Speaker 1: my sister called me, I'm not even.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Killing what wasn't he?
- 23:07Speaker 3: And nom? That makes sense.
- 23:10Speaker 1: My sister called me the other day randomly going, Hey,
- 23:12Speaker 1: which way do you face in the shower? And I
- 23:15Speaker 1: was like, well, Molly, I don't know if you need
- 23:16Speaker 1: to know my shower habits, I guess, but apparently my
- 23:20Speaker 1: dad said he lets the water hit him like in
- 23:22Speaker 1: the face.
- 23:22Speaker 2: He's just waterboarding himself.
- 23:24Speaker 3: That is crazy.
- 23:26Speaker 2: Talk to me what I did.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Post this on the Big ninety eight point seven Facebook page,
- 23:31Speaker 1: and I think for the most part, a lot of
- 23:34Speaker 1: people are saying back toward the water for most of
- 23:38Speaker 1: the shower.
- 23:38Speaker 2: Then you got to hit the occasional spin.
- 23:41Speaker 3: Okay, that makes sense.
- 23:42Speaker 4: I just I can't imagine getting into the shower and
- 23:45Speaker 4: the first thing I do is face the shower head.
- 23:48Speaker 1: No, yeah, Tarn said, So we all don't just treat
- 23:52Speaker 1: ourselves like a rotisserie.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Chicken doing some spin thing around.
- 23:56Speaker 1: And then I really like Dale Dale, which direction do
- 23:59Speaker 1: you face in the shower? Of course, leave it up
- 24:02Speaker 1: to Dale. Dale faces south, which is awesome.
- 24:05Speaker 3: Wait, I don't know what that means. He faces south
- 24:08Speaker 3: the direction self? You know, I'm directionally challenged. I don't
- 24:12Speaker 3: know what that would mean.
- 24:14Speaker 1: Now you might be thinking, oh, there's no answer to
- 24:17Speaker 1: this question. How could one be right or wrong? It
- 24:19Speaker 1: turns out there is a right answer according to experts.
- 24:25Speaker 4: Okay, well, if the expert is not on my side,
- 24:27Speaker 4: I'm saying they're not an expert.
- 24:29Speaker 1: What are their requirements to being a shower expert? You
- 24:32Speaker 1: think you just got a.
- 24:32Speaker 3: Shower, you gotta take them. Yeah, right.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Experts do say that neither forward or backwards.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Is really wrong.
- 24:41Speaker 1: Okay, but you don't want to face the same way
- 24:45Speaker 1: the entire time or for too long. You should kind
- 24:48Speaker 1: of rotate and turn and get different parts of your
- 24:51Speaker 1: body some of that warm water.
- 24:53Speaker 3: Wait, why not for too long?
- 24:54Speaker 4: Because when it's time for an everything shower, I am
- 24:57Speaker 4: not facing that shower head for a big, very long time.
- 25:01Speaker 1: I might have something to do with just drying out
- 25:02Speaker 1: your skin, I would guess.
- 25:04Speaker 4: Oh, okay, that makes more sense to me.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Just know the next time that you are in the shower,
- 25:09Speaker 1: Dale is also showering, and he's facing South Dakota.
- 25:18Speaker 5: Starting off the day with something good. This is Gabe's
- 25:22Speaker 5: good news on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Retired Fargo police canine Blue is on the mend and
- 25:31Speaker 1: recovering at home after successful surgery. Thanks to an outpouring
- 25:36Speaker 1: of community support, Blue, of Belgian Malamoa, who served more
- 25:40Speaker 1: than eight years on the force, recently underwent surgery for
- 25:43Speaker 1: double hernias after experiencing discomfort.
- 25:46Speaker 2: We've talked about Blue before here on Big ninety eight
- 25:48Speaker 2: point seven.
- 25:49Speaker 1: Before and his handler Sam said, Blue is doing well,
- 25:52Speaker 1: spending his days resting, recovering, and yes, he sadly has
- 25:55Speaker 1: to rock that doggy cone of shame for bb go
- 26:00Speaker 1: fund me. It raised more than fifteen thousand dollars to
- 26:02Speaker 1: cover the procedure, leaving Sam humbled by generosity. Now, with
- 26:06Speaker 1: money left over, he's looking into ways to pay it
- 26:09Speaker 1: forward to help other retired knines right here in our community.
- 26:13Speaker 1: And in case you're wondering, Blue just celebrated his tenth
- 26:16Speaker 1: birthday with a low key day full of extra scratches,
- 26:21Speaker 1: toys and a relaxing walks hard I love him. How
- 26:25Speaker 1: nice of everyone here in the FM area to try
- 26:26Speaker 1: to help out Blue and Sam of course, And just
- 26:29Speaker 1: a very sweet story about a dog who deserves all
- 26:31Speaker 1: the love.
- 26:32Speaker 2: Just like every other dog.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Broken crons, they still color and the world is full
- 26:36Speaker 1: of nice people. If you can't find one, you gotta
- 26:38Speaker 1: be one.
