- 1:27Speaker 2: has been on the podcast before, you can check out

- 1:50Speaker 2: Also joining Audra on the panel were two peak improv favorites,
- 1:55Speaker 2: Zach from Just In Time and Aaron from The Flock.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Two hilarious improvisers. And if you're in Colorado Springs, genuinely
- 2:04Speaker 2: go and see The Flock perform. They are a fantastic
- 2:07Speaker 2: long-form improv group. one of the coolest improv groups in
- 2:10Speaker 2: Colorado Springs. Their shows are always a good time. I'll

- 2:19Speaker 2: please enjoy last month's live show, Horror Movies Live! Hello
- 2:50Speaker 2: and welcome to Fandomonium, the pop culture game show that
- 2:52Speaker 2: shines a spotlight onto everyone's favorite fandoms. I'm your games
- 2:56Speaker 2: master and facially disfigured killer, Matt Watson. It's just cystic acne.
- 3:02Speaker 2: I wasn't in a big fire. And I'm not a
- 3:05Speaker 2: child murderer. I should have led with that. But it,
- 3:08Speaker 2: Freddy Krueger. But a games master needs games and games
- 3:11Speaker 2: need players, so please welcome first, she is an improviser,
- 3:15Speaker 2: stand-up comedian, and comedy writer. She's a member of the flock.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Very good. Which means if she were a horror movie,
- 3:24Speaker 2: she'd be Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds. Make some noise for
- 3:27Speaker 2: Erin and Ian! And he is a dungeon master and
- 3:40Speaker 2: an improviser who you can see in the musical improv
- 3:42Speaker 2: team just in time. And if he were a horror movie,
- 3:45Speaker 2: he'd be Obsession. I've not seen the movie, I'm just
- 3:49Speaker 2: obsessed with his comedy.
- 3:50Speaker 3: It's Zach Kirsch!
- 4:00Speaker 2: Fantastic, welcome Aaron, welcome Zach. How are you both doing
- 4:04Speaker 2: this evening?
- 4:05Speaker 4: Lovely.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Wonderful.
- 4:08Speaker 4: Lovely again.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Double wonderful. Yeah, sorry, I noticed that your mic is
- 4:12Speaker 2: like turning away from you. It's like desperate to.
- 4:15Speaker 5: It's obsessed with escaping me.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Fantastic. I think if you have to turn the bass... No, okay,
- 4:22Speaker 2: hang on. That's that UK magic.
- 4:26Speaker 4: Yeah, we'll go with that. We'll go with that. We'll
- 4:27Speaker 4: call that good.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Aaron, this is our horror movie themed fandomonium.
- 4:33Speaker 6: What?
- 4:35Speaker 4: Oh, is that a surprise?
- 4:36Speaker 7: Yeah, I totally wore this necklace and brought this knife
- 4:38Speaker 7: for different reasons.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Okay, knife, knife, are you, is like slasher your favorite
- 4:44Speaker 2: horror genre?
- 4:45Speaker 4: That would make sense.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Yeah? Okay, well, first up, I'll ask, are you a
- 4:51Speaker 2: fan of horror movies in general?
- 4:53Speaker 4: Yes, very much. Nice, okay.
- 4:55Speaker 2: And do you have like, if you can narrow it
- 4:57Speaker 2: down from the hundreds of horror movies that there are,
- 4:59Speaker 2: thousands even, do you have a favorite horror movie of
- 5:02Speaker 2: all time?
- 5:03Speaker 4: There's so many different, like sub genres of horror.
- 5:06Speaker 2: That's true.
- 5:07Speaker 7: So I feel like if I were going to pick
- 5:10Speaker 7: out a favorite sub genre and then go with that,
- 5:13Speaker 7: I would say.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Favorite, like TV horror, the faculty. Nice.
- 5:20Speaker 5: Okay.
- 5:21Speaker 8: Okay.
- 5:21Speaker 4: That's a great throwback. Yeah, definitely.
- 5:24Speaker 2: And are you going to break down other genres and
- 5:25Speaker 2: list your favorites?
- 5:26Speaker 4: And I'm not actually.
- 5:30Speaker 2: We don't have time. That's right.
- 5:31Speaker 4: Everyone give it up for Aaron.
- 5:32Speaker 7: Woo!
- 5:36Speaker 2: And Zach, are you a fan of horror films? I am, yeah. Oh, nice. Cool.
- 5:40Speaker 4: That's worked out nicely. Yeah, yeah.
- 5:43Speaker 2: I hope I don't ruin this team. It sounds like
- 5:47Speaker 2: you'll be a help. Aaron's moving the knife away from you.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Just in case.
- 5:49Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah.
- 5:51Speaker 2: And Zach, do you have a favorite horror movie?
- 5:53Speaker 5: I do.
- 5:53Speaker 2: I have a double answer.
- 5:54Speaker 5: So my favorite good horror movie is John Carpenter's The Thing.
- 5:58Speaker 4: Oh, great.
- 5:59Speaker 5: A winter classic. And then my favorite horror movie that's terrible...
- 6:03Speaker 5: is I'm a Friday the 13th boy to the bone,
- 6:05Speaker 5: but out of the 10, it's part six.
- 6:08Speaker 4: Oh, nice.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Real quick synopsis, what happens in part six?
- 6:13Speaker 5: So Tommy Jarvis, who was the little boy in part four,
- 6:16Speaker 5: has grown up, and he's like, even though Jason's a corpse,
- 6:19Speaker 5: I gotta stab him again. So he stabs him with
- 6:22Speaker 5: the most metallic object ever, and then a lightning strike
- 6:26Speaker 5: hits it, and it brings Jason back to life, and
- 6:28Speaker 5: he's like a zombie now. Yes! And so he's just
- 6:32Speaker 5: running around, like, killing people, and Tommy Jarvis is in jail,
- 6:37Speaker 5: and he, like, falls in love with the sheriff's daughter,
- 6:39Speaker 5: and they're like, we gotta chain up Jason and put
- 6:40Speaker 5: him at the bottom of the lake.
- 6:42Speaker 2: It's the only lake he's weak to.
- 6:44Speaker 5: And then, like, I don't want to spoil what happens
- 6:47Speaker 5: to the sheriff when I'm about to. Jason, like, folds
- 6:49Speaker 5: him in half. And then, like, nobody's sad about it.
- 6:52Speaker 5: And then, yeah, they chain up Jason and put him
- 6:56Speaker 5: in a lake where he remains until part seven where
- 6:59Speaker 5: he gets reawoken by a psychic girl.
- 7:02Speaker 4: Naturally.
- 7:02Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 7:03Speaker 4: You had that at the ready.
- 7:05Speaker 5: Okay, so listen, this is just, if you guys need
- 7:09Speaker 5: like 10 minutes to kill, I have a proposition for
- 7:12Speaker 5: my future planned trilogy, Friday the 13th, part 13, parts one, two,
- 7:17Speaker 5: and three.
- 7:17Speaker 4: Spec script?
- 7:18Speaker 2: That's actually genius. Let's talk after this. Absolutely, yeah.
- 7:22Speaker 4: Wow, well done.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Fantastic. I think you're going to be a great team tonight.
- 7:25Speaker 2: We'll be back over with you in just a second.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Give it up for Aaron and.
- 7:28Speaker 4: Zach, everyone.
- 7:31Speaker 2: But they are going to need some opponents, possibly some
- 7:34Speaker 2: murder victims. Let's find out.
- 7:36Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 7:37Speaker 2: She is our resident panelist, a podcaster and comedian who
- 7:40Speaker 2: works in STEM, which today stands for Scream Till Everyone's Murdered.
- 7:45Speaker 2: Put your hands together for Audra Stevenson! And she is
- 7:54Speaker 2: a podcaster, screenwriter, and horror superfan. You can find her
- 7:59Speaker 2: on her podcast, It's a Fandom Thing, but tonight she's
- 8:01Speaker 2: joining us for a Fandomonium thing. Please give a warm
- 8:04Speaker 2: Peak Improv welcome to Erin Marlow! Woo!
- 8:15Speaker 3: Welcome to that.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Yeah, that's not going to confuse me at all.
- 8:21Speaker 1: I'm going by Zach now.
- 8:25Speaker 4: Fantastic.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Okay.
- 8:27Speaker 4: Uh, Zach and Aaron, how are you both?
- 8:31Speaker 2: I'm sticking with it.
- 8:33Speaker 4: I got thrown there.
- 8:34Speaker 1: I got so confused immediately.
- 8:37Speaker 2: It was your bit.
- 8:39Speaker 9: I know.
- 8:42Speaker 1: I'm doing great.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Nice. And Erin, it is so good that we get
- 8:46Speaker 2: to record a podcast in person instead of over the internet.
- 8:49Speaker 7: I know.
- 8:50Speaker 10: It's fantastic. It's so much fun. And it's so much
- 8:52Speaker 10: fun being live on stage. I used to do improv
- 8:55Speaker 10: all the time.
- 8:56Speaker 4: So it's like, oh, it's.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Like coming up. That's so cool.
- 9:01Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Okay, I think I'm going to ask Erin first because
- 9:08Speaker 2: I think I know the answer. Are you a fan
- 9:10Speaker 2: of horror?
- 9:11Speaker 4: Just a tad. It's my favorite genre. I love it.
- 9:14Speaker 10: I collect Michael Myers stuff. And I brought a little
- 9:18Speaker 10: baby Michael Myers.
- 9:20Speaker 4: Yes! That's our good luck charm. He's so cute.
- 9:28Speaker 2: I love that. A little mascot to help you along
- 9:30Speaker 2: the way. That's fantastic. And Erin, if you had to
- 9:33Speaker 2: narrow it down from the many horror films, do you have...
- 9:37Speaker 2: A favorite horror film?
- 9:39Speaker 4: Halloween.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Halloween, for sure, yes.
- 9:42Speaker 4: The 1978 one.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Unless you want to tell me anything
- 9:47Speaker 2: about Part 6.
- 9:48Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, Part 6 is like one of.
- 9:49Speaker 10: The worst of the whole series. That's like part of
- 9:53Speaker 10: the Thorne trilogy, and it wraps up the Thorne trilogy.
- 9:56Speaker 4: But Paul Rudd is in it, if anybody's watching Paul
- 9:59Speaker 4: Rudd in his very first movie.
- 10:01Speaker 7: I do.
- 10:03Speaker 4: I do want to see.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Yeah, you love Paul Rudd, don't you, Zach?
- 10:06Speaker 1: I do.
- 10:08Speaker 4: It's a little baby, young Paul Rudd.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Oh, gosh. You just want to grab his little face
- 10:13Speaker 1: and say, don't die.
- 10:15Speaker 4: And he never will. Oh, he never will.
- 10:19Speaker 1: It's not that I have anything to do with it.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Okay, so we have very much a horror super fan,
- 10:26Speaker 2: probably one of the biggest horror fans in Colorado.
- 10:29Speaker 4: I know, it's the pressures.
- 10:31Speaker 10: I don't want to be humiliating about it.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Things might be a little balanced out. Audra, are you
- 10:36Speaker 2: a fan of horror movies?
- 10:38Speaker 1: So here's the deal. I am a little baby.
- 10:44Speaker 4: Aww.
- 10:46Speaker 9: And so if we lose, you can blame me, and
- 10:50Speaker 9: I'll take it.
- 10:50Speaker 1: That's fine.
- 10:52Speaker 9: I just get so scared, and so I've been trying
- 10:55Speaker 9: to watch some horror films, and we've developed a system
- 10:59Speaker 9: where if I get scared, we just.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Pause it and walk around the house.
- 11:04Speaker 7: Aww.
- 11:05Speaker 2: This is true for those who don't know. We live together.
- 11:07Speaker 2: We're married. This happens.
- 11:09Speaker 7: Aww.
- 11:11Speaker 5: They're gonna know that's why I'm.
- 11:17Speaker 11: Here she's crying blood just like Michael.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Just like Michael I think you will make a perfectly
- 11:27Speaker 2: balanced team we'll meet in the middle fantastic okay teams
- 11:35Speaker 2: oh Audra I didn't ask what's your favorite horror movie.
- 11:38Speaker 9: Um, I think probably the Nancy Drew video game Curse
- 11:44Speaker 9: of Blackmore Man.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Doesn't count.
- 11:49Speaker 9: Okay, I'm getting validation from this audience.
- 11:51Speaker 2: So you need to let me.
- 11:53Speaker 1: Live my life.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Hey, look, I'll always listen to the audience. It counts. Okay, teams,
- 11:58Speaker 2: you awake to find yourselves in a dark room. Your
- 12:01Speaker 2: arms are bound to a cheap folding chair, and you
- 12:03Speaker 2: can faintly smell oil and a bit of sweat. You
- 12:06Speaker 2: must have been kidnapped by the local serial killer that's
- 12:09Speaker 2: been on the loose. Again.
- 12:11Speaker 4: What are you like?
- 12:13Speaker 2: Girl, you're the drama. Your head is pounding and you
- 12:16Speaker 2: notice a red light at the opposite side of the room.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Is the killer watching you right now? And more importantly,
- 12:21Speaker 2: how cute do you... I fucked that up. I'm going
- 12:24Speaker 2: to take it again because we're recording this.
- 12:26Speaker 4: Slower? Slower?
- 12:30Speaker 2: Slower and more sensual. Is the killer watching you right now?
- 12:38Speaker 2: And more importantly, how cute do you look? You try
- 12:42Speaker 2: to recall how you ended up here, but all you
- 12:44Speaker 2: see are flashes of PowerPoint presentations and puppets and even
- 12:47Speaker 2: bigger puppets. Wait, you haven't been kidnapped by a serial
- 12:50Speaker 2: killer at all. A British comedy producer has trapped you
- 12:53Speaker 2: in a room for an hour to play competitive improv games.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Not again! That serial killer's sounding pretty good right now, huh?
- 13:01Speaker 2: Sex appeal is gone!
- 13:05Speaker 4: I'm still in it!
- 13:06Speaker 2: So, with that competition in mind, I'd like each pair
- 13:10Speaker 2: to come up with a horror movie-themed team name, please.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Let's start with Erin and Zach.
- 13:15Speaker 4: What have you got? And we're prepared, which is the
- 13:18Speaker 4: best part. Exactly.
- 13:19Speaker 2: We're not about to improvise.
- 13:21Speaker 4: No, and we wouldn't, and we never will. You know?
- 13:24Speaker 4: Let's say it at the same time. Yeah! Stab. Stab.
- 13:30Speaker 2: Stab.
- 13:31Speaker 4: Stab. You going with it?
- 13:34Speaker 7: Stab.
- 13:34Speaker 2: We've got Team Stab.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Yeah!
- 13:41Speaker 11: Okay, we do want a clarification that that has two Bs.
- 13:44Speaker 4: And a UH, I believe.
- 13:46Speaker 2: And a glottal stop.
- 13:47Speaker 4: That's right.
- 13:48Speaker 5: Oh!
- 13:49Speaker 2: Stab-ba.
- 13:50Speaker 4: Stab-ba. You got that, Producer Logan?
- 13:53Speaker 2: What's a glottal stop?
- 13:55Speaker 5: So, if you venture on down to Texas town, and
- 13:58Speaker 5: they're like, you're going to go to the city of Denton,
- 14:01Speaker 5: instead of Denton, that you use to make that pause
- 14:04Speaker 5: in the T's, that's a glottal stop.
- 14:06Speaker 2: How do I notate that? In other languages, they use
- 14:10Speaker 2: an apostrophe.
- 14:11Speaker 7: Oh!
- 14:14Speaker 2: Stabber.
- 14:15Speaker 4: Stabber. Am I saying that right?
- 14:18Speaker 2: Stabber.
- 14:18Speaker 4: That's right.
- 14:19Speaker 2: So we have Stabber.
- 14:20Speaker 4: Stabber. Stabber.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Hey, you glottal stop it, Casey.
- 14:24Speaker 2: You glottal stop it. Let's find out who they'll be facing. Aaron?
- 14:30Speaker 7: Zach?
- 14:33Speaker 1: I committed to this. I had a couple ideas.
- 14:36Speaker 7: I did, too.
- 14:37Speaker 4: I had, like, three ideas.
- 14:39Speaker 8: Oh!
- 14:39Speaker 4: Three, yeah.
- 14:40Speaker 1: I bet yours are going to be better than mine,
- 14:41Speaker 1: so we should start with yours.
- 14:43Speaker 10: Okay, well, my first one was slasherific final girls.
- 14:48Speaker 1: That was our second option.
- 14:50Speaker 4: You stole that from us!
- 14:52Speaker 2: Yeah!
- 14:54Speaker 4: I love it.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Probably the shortest team name ever and the longest team
- 14:57Speaker 2: name ever. I love it.
- 14:57Speaker 4: It's great.
- 14:58Speaker 7: I know.
- 14:59Speaker 5: I know.
- 15:00Speaker 10: And then I had a couple that were in honor
- 15:02Speaker 10: of Michael and Haddonfield. And so the Haddonfield Slashers. Nice.
- 15:08Speaker 10: And then the Boogie Women of Haddonfield.
- 15:11Speaker 2: That's great, too.
- 15:13Speaker 4: Let's hear your shit references.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Mine aren't as good.
- 15:18Speaker 9: This is a little, you're not scared of horror movies,
- 15:24Speaker 9: but Halloweenies?
- 15:27Speaker 7: Does that have an epiglottal stop? Yeah.
- 15:30Speaker 4: It's Halloweenies. Halloweenies.
- 15:35Speaker 1: And Nightmare on North Carefree.
- 15:38Speaker 2: That's the third one. Those listening at home, North Carefree
- 15:41Speaker 2: is the road we're on.
- 15:43Speaker 4: That's a pretty good one, yeah. That's good.
- 15:46Speaker 9: The third one that you had, what was that?
- 15:49Speaker 4: Boogie Women of Haddonfield.
- 15:52Speaker 1: I do like that one.
- 15:54Speaker 2: You're going with Boogie Women of Haddonfield? Right.
- 15:57Speaker 10: Yeah, because he's the boogeyman.
- 15:59Speaker 2: And so boogie women did the gender swap.
- 16:01Speaker 9: Yes, and I cried blood earlier because you called me
- 16:05Speaker 9: by Zach as I insisted.
- 16:08Speaker 4: It's an amazing name. You should be honored.
- 16:12Speaker 1: I don't know if I can live up to the mantle.
- 16:14Speaker 2: It's Hebrew for God remembers.
- 16:17Speaker 1: And I do not.
- 16:21Speaker 2: All right, well, we've got Stabba versus the Boogie Women
- 16:25Speaker 2: of Haddonfield. But I'm probably just going to call you
- 16:27Speaker 2: the Boogie Women from now on.
- 16:28Speaker 4: I love.
- 16:33Speaker 7: That.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Just before we get started with the games, I would
- 16:36Speaker 2: like to point out what we're all playing for tonight,
- 16:38Speaker 2: which is this mystery prize.
- 16:41Speaker 7: Oh!
- 16:42Speaker 4: What could it be?
- 16:44Speaker 2: No expense has been spared.
- 16:48Speaker 4: Thank you, Bambi.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Okay, teams, let's turn personal trauma into thinly veiled metaphors
- 16:53Speaker 2: as we all run screaming into round one. Yay! Woo!
- 17:01Speaker 2: Round one is called Charades for the Criminally Insane. In turn,
- 17:06Speaker 2: I will hand each player the name of an iconic
- 17:08Speaker 2: horror movie villain submitted by our wonderful Peak Improv audience.
- 17:13Speaker 2: That's right, Juven, that happened.
- 17:15Speaker 4: I gave you the bucket. Yeah, yeah, you gave me
- 17:17Speaker 4: the bucket.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Yeah, sweet.
- 17:18Speaker 5: Cool.
- 17:19Speaker 4: I really hope I did. Yeah, sweet.
- 17:21Speaker 2: Just checking. So there'll be the name of an iconic
- 17:25Speaker 2: horror movie villain that I've not seen before either. They
- 17:28Speaker 2: must then try and communicate that villain to their teammate
- 17:31Speaker 2: for them to take a guess. First, because this is
- 17:34Speaker 2: charades for the criminally insane, they may mime a brief action.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Should their teammate guess the villain correctly, they will score
- 17:41Speaker 2: three points.
- 17:42Speaker 4: Second.
- 17:43Speaker 2: they may make a brief sound. Should their teammate guess correctly,
- 17:47Speaker 2: two points. And third, they may say a single noun.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Should their teammate guess correctly, one point. And after each
- 17:54Speaker 2: killer is revealed, I will give players a bonus point
- 17:57Speaker 2: if they do their action whilst making their sound and
- 17:59Speaker 2: saying their noun. Because comedy is just a humiliation kink,
- 18:03Speaker 2: I guess. So, first up, we are going to have
- 18:07Speaker 2: Audra doing charades for Eren to guess. So I'm going
- 18:10Speaker 2: to dig in here for a for a villain. Okay,
- 18:16Speaker 2: this one seems pretty good. Someone's sick for writing this one.
- 18:23Speaker 4: It's all of them.
- 18:25Speaker 2: All of them just say, my parents.
- 18:27Speaker 4: Okay, Audra.
- 18:29Speaker 2: So, an action. First up, an action for three points.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Mime and action.
- 18:34Speaker 4: Take it away.
- 18:34Speaker 8: Okay, okay.
- 18:41Speaker 10: Audra.
- 18:43Speaker 2: It's Audra. Right?
- 18:46Speaker 4: Okay, that's... Tall person.
- 18:49Speaker 2: Is that your official guess, Erin?
- 18:50Speaker 4: Slenderman?
- 18:51Speaker 2: Whoa, it's Slenderman!
- 18:55Speaker 4: This is rigged.
- 18:57Speaker 2: It's rigged! This competition is rigged.
- 18:59Speaker 4: Wow.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Okay, and just for fun.
- 19:06Speaker 4: Now there's nothing but pressure.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 19:08Speaker 4: Thank you, dark gentleman. And done. Is he allowed to
- 19:11Speaker 4: say that?
- 19:13Speaker 2: They're in the dark. In the dark, gentlemen.
- 19:16Speaker 9: I think the noise, because I don't know if Slenderman, Mr. Slenderman,
- 19:22Speaker 9: I don't know if he makes a sound, so I
- 19:23Speaker 9: probably would have just said.
- 19:28Speaker 7: That would work. That's right.
- 19:29Speaker 4: That's good. That's good.
- 19:30Speaker 2: And do you want to do that while doing your action? Yeah.
- 19:33Speaker 9: Oh, yeah.
- 19:35Speaker 2: I just have to be threatening. Sure. Sounded like you
- 19:42Speaker 2: were relieving yourself behind me.
- 19:45Speaker 4: And she was.
- 19:46Speaker 2: Let's give Audra a bonus point for that.
- 19:47Speaker 6: Okay, next up we have Aaron giving clues. For Zach
- 19:57Speaker 6: to guess. Let me choose something from here.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Don't look. I'm a fair boy.
- 20:03Speaker 4: Okay, okay. A fair boy. We're always saying that. Zach's
- 20:09Speaker 4: a fair boy.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Do you have the piece of paper? Can I re-see?
- 20:12Speaker 2: Are you familiar?
- 20:13Speaker 9: I am.
- 20:14Speaker 4: Okay, okay.
- 20:15Speaker 2: So you can look now, Zach.
- 20:18Speaker 4: Fair boy.
- 20:20Speaker 2: So first off, Erin, could you please mime an action?
- 20:28Speaker 4: Fuck. Can I say fuck?
- 20:31Speaker 2: That's what we'll allow. You can say, oh, you can
- 20:34Speaker 2: swear on this podcast.
- 20:35Speaker 4: Oh, thank God.
- 20:36Speaker 2: I was like, oh, no. Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck.
- 20:42Speaker 5: Thanks.
- 20:42Speaker 4: I needed the support. Okay, I got it.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Can I stand?
- 20:49Speaker 4: You can stand. That's it. Okay. An action has been mimed.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Is that the ghost lady from The Grudge? It's not
- 21:10Speaker 2: the ghost lady from The Grudge, but that's a good guess.
- 21:11Speaker 2: That's a good guess. We're going to go for two points.
- 21:15Speaker 7: Okay.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Aaron, you can now also make a sound.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Okay.
- 21:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Oh, dude. Ah, dude, you're Pennywise. It's Pennywise! Yeah!
- 21:30Speaker 5: My boys!
- 21:31Speaker 2: Hell yeah!
- 21:32Speaker 7: Yeah!
- 21:33Speaker 4: Yeah!
- 21:35Speaker 2: And also, Aaron also did the mime and the sound
- 21:39Speaker 2: at the same time there, so I think that's a
- 21:40Speaker 2: bonus point as well for Aaron there.
- 21:42Speaker 4: Yeah!
- 21:43Speaker 7: Yeah!
- 21:45Speaker 2: Okay, next up, we have Erin for Zach. That's confusing,
- 21:49Speaker 2: but it's actually Erin for Zach.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Do you want me to reclaim my own name?
- 21:53Speaker 2: It might be helpful. I think the audience should get
- 21:55Speaker 2: to vote for your new name. Zach!
- 21:57Speaker 5: Zach!
- 21:58Speaker 8: Zach!
- 22:00Speaker 2: Zach!
- 22:03Speaker 4: My new name is Audra. I love that for you.
- 22:06Speaker 9: X-A-Q.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Are you familiar?
- 22:10Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:10Speaker 2: Okay, okay. We'll find out if I am. Okay, so Erin,
- 22:14Speaker 2: first off, a mime. A brief mime.
- 22:16Speaker 4: You got this. It was.
- 22:22Speaker 2: A great mime. Is this.
- 22:29Speaker 1: The alien from Aliens?
- 22:31Speaker 2: It is the alien from Aliens! Xenomorph. Xenomorph. Now, Erin,
- 22:41Speaker 2: I did detect a hint of a sound there as well.
- 22:44Speaker 2: I did, I made a sound there.
- 22:46Speaker 4: So can we count that as your sound and mime
- 22:47Speaker 4: happening at the same time?
- 22:48Speaker 2: Yes. Then that's going to be a bonus point for
- 22:50Speaker 2: Erin as well.
- 22:51Speaker 7: Yes!
- 22:53Speaker 2: Okay, okay, this is good stuff. You put good names
- 22:57Speaker 2: in the bucket.
- 22:57Speaker 4: Well done, everyone. Thank you.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Okay. Well, you know, this is fun for a laugh.
- 23:09Speaker 4: Wait, wait, wait. I looked at it. I just did.
- 23:13Speaker 4: I looked at it. I'm sorry. I was like, no, no, no.
- 23:15Speaker 2: That's okay. Aaron's not a fair boy. We know this.
- 23:18Speaker 2: Close your eyes. I'm sorry.
- 23:19Speaker 4: I'm not a fair boy. I've never heard of this film.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Oh, that one was Maleficent. Not technically a horror movie.
- 23:31Speaker 2: I would have done so poorly, so this is a godsend.
- 23:36Speaker 2: I can't take that. I'm so sorry. That was so good, though. Yeah,
- 23:42Speaker 2: we're taking this one.
- 23:43Speaker 4: Other Zach!
- 23:44Speaker 10: Other Zach!
- 23:45Speaker 4: Other Zach!
- 23:47Speaker 2: Other Zach!
- 23:49Speaker 4: Other Zach!
- 23:52Speaker 2: So, first off, Zach is going to mime an action.
- 24:07Speaker 2: That's actually really good.
- 24:08Speaker 4: Damn it!
- 24:12Speaker 2: Any guesses, Erin, it is a really tough one. You
- 24:16Speaker 2: can throw out a guess for free.
- 24:18Speaker 4: Okay.
- 24:20Speaker 2: I think I say if you just get the movie
- 24:22Speaker 2: franchise right. I think so, yeah.
- 24:27Speaker 4: Is it Nightmare on Elm Street?
- 24:28Speaker 2: It's not Nightmare on Elm Street, but that's a good guess.
- 24:31Speaker 2: That's a good guess. Okay, so Zach, if you could
- 24:34Speaker 2: now make a sound as well. You can do it
- 24:37Speaker 2: with the mime or without, that's your call. It's a
- 24:39Speaker 2: non-word sound? Preferably a non-word sound, yeah. Okay, so I
- 24:43Speaker 2: can't say a word.
- 24:44Speaker 4: Sure, got you.
- 24:46Speaker 11: That felt like it was a clue, but I don't
- 24:50Speaker 11: know how.
- 24:51Speaker 4: We'll just have to do the same thing again.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Let's go a little soundscape now.
- 24:59Speaker 4: $ 30 million.
- 25:01Speaker 2: We'll allow it. We'll allow it.
- 25:12Speaker 4: That wasn't a word. There's no way.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Erin, do you want to take a guess?
- 25:18Speaker 4: I'd love to take a guess. Nightmare on Elm Street. VHS?
- 25:27Speaker 2: It's not VHS, but I think you are getting a
- 25:29Speaker 2: little closer now. Now, Zach, if you would like to,
- 25:33Speaker 2: for one point, to offer a noun. So it can't
- 25:35Speaker 2: be any of the.
- 25:38Speaker 4: It's a person, place, or thing. That's what a noun is.
- 25:40Speaker 2: So I can't use either of the words in the title.
- 25:42Speaker 2: Can I use an adjective? As long as it's not
- 25:45Speaker 2: any of the words in the title. Okay. You can
- 25:47Speaker 2: say one word that isn't in the title.
- 25:52Speaker 4: Other Zach! Other Zach!
- 25:55Speaker 2: Other Zach! Zach's become Other Zach. I know.
- 25:58Speaker 4: He's actually Zach.
- 25:59Speaker 2: I've lost my own name. Zach.
- 26:04Speaker 4: Recording.
- 26:08Speaker 5: Yep.
- 26:09Speaker 4: Yep.
- 26:09Speaker 2: Recording.
- 26:10Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
- 26:11Speaker 7: That's all I got.
- 26:12Speaker 2: That's all I got, Chief.
- 26:13Speaker 4: Any ideas, Erin?
- 26:14Speaker 2: This is a tough one. Paranormal Activity?
- 26:19Speaker 5: Yes!
- 26:19Speaker 3: Yes!
- 26:26Speaker 4: By the way!
- 26:28Speaker 11: Yes!
- 26:29Speaker 7: Yes!
- 26:29Speaker 4: You've got a fan base.
- 26:30Speaker 2: This is awesome.
- 26:31Speaker 3: Yeah!
- 26:33Speaker 4: Yeah, boys!
- 26:35Speaker 2: So that is going to be a point for Stabber.
- 26:38Speaker 2: And I'm also going to give the bonus point for
- 26:40Speaker 2: the performance because Zach did the mime and the words at.
- 26:43Speaker 4: The same time. It was incredible.
- 26:46Speaker 5: Paranormal Activity. You know, just remember, your movie doesn't have
- 26:49Speaker 5: to be good. It just has to be boring.
- 26:50Speaker 4: That's right.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Look, nice little sly hot take there on the podcast.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Very good. Very 2010s podcasting.
- 26:58Speaker 4: It's not one of my favorite horror movies. I don't
- 27:00Speaker 4: even care about it.
- 27:01Speaker 2: My horror movies need to be interesting.
- 27:03Speaker 4: Okay, okay. Me too.
- 27:04Speaker 2: Now it just sounds like you're.
- 27:07Speaker 4: Shut up!
- 27:10Speaker 2: Okay, that is the end of round one. Producer Logan,
- 27:13Speaker 2: could you please write the latest scores in Blood on
- 27:15Speaker 2: the Walls and then read them to us?
- 27:18Speaker 4: I can read them. Do you need a knife?
- 27:23Speaker 2: She's got a knife.
- 27:24Speaker 4: Can you just ask if I could use your blood?
- 27:26Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 27:28Speaker 4: My boy, you're in. He's got the blood, Riz.
- 27:32Speaker 2: So anyways, at the.
- 27:35Speaker 5: End of the first round, Stabba has five, and the
- 27:39Speaker 5: boogie women have eight. Okay, those are Fibonacci numbers.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Okay. Fun fact for the horror podcast. Well, it looks
- 27:49Speaker 2: like our players have vanquished the villains, but there's always
- 27:52Speaker 2: room for a sequel, so it's time for round two.
- 27:55Speaker 4: Yeah!
- 28:01Speaker 2: Round two is called Rotten You Say Tomatoes, I Say Tomatoes,
- 28:05Speaker 2: because that's how it's said. Using suggestions of horror movies
- 28:08Speaker 2: from our wonderful peak improv audience, our teams will compose professional,
- 28:13Speaker 2: critic-style reviews of those movies. The first twist is, those
- 28:17Speaker 2: reviews will be composed one word at a time, back
- 28:21Speaker 2: and forth between teammates. The second twist is the tone
- 28:25Speaker 2: of their review will be decided by a roll of
- 28:27Speaker 2: a D100 matching the aggregate percentage score. Rotten Tomatoes style.
- 28:32Speaker 2: Thank you so much, Amanda. Give it up for Amanda.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Dice delivery service. Dice delivery service. Every theater needs one.
- 28:42Speaker 2: And the third twist is, because you've got to have
- 28:44Speaker 2: a rule of three, the media outlet they'll be composing
- 28:47Speaker 2: their review for will be decided by a spin of
- 28:49Speaker 2: this wheel. Ooh.
- 28:54Speaker 4: Colors.
- 28:55Speaker 2: So each number corresponds to a media outlet. We'll see
- 28:57Speaker 2: what they turn out to be. That's so they can
- 28:59Speaker 2: play with accents and vibes and tone and that kind
- 29:02Speaker 2: of thing. Because they're all very clever improvisers. So I
- 29:06Speaker 2: think we're ready to do this. I think we're going
- 29:08Speaker 2: to have Stabbert go first. But first, thank you so
- 29:12Speaker 2: much for the piss hug sign. Oh, it's so cute.
- 29:16Speaker 1: He's got a belly butt.
- 29:19Speaker 8: First.
- 29:20Speaker 2: Wonderful audience, shout out your favorite horror movies. Oh, no.
- 29:26Speaker 2: Favorite horror movies.
- 29:28Speaker 4: None of us.
- 29:28Speaker 11: Scream.
- 29:28Speaker 2: I heard scream. Scream. What was that, sorry?
- 29:32Speaker 4: The Conjuring 2.
- 29:34Speaker 2: The Conjuring 2. You familiar with The Conjuring 2?
- 29:37Speaker 4: You don't have to be.
- 29:38Speaker 2: I'm familiar with the premise.
- 29:39Speaker 7: Love it.
- 29:39Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 29:40Speaker 2: We're going to go with The Conjuring 2 as the film.
- 29:42Speaker 2: Clearly they didn't wrap it up in Conjuring 1.
- 29:46Speaker 4: And we'll talk about it.
- 29:47Speaker 2: Yeah, if we get a low number.
- 29:48Speaker 4: And you did.
- 29:50Speaker 5: Your number is 17.
- 29:54Speaker 2: A 17% review of Conjuring 2. But let's find out
- 29:58Speaker 2: what media outlet they will be reviewing for. I forgot
- 30:01Speaker 2: this broke at Fan Expo, so I can't stop it now.
- 30:04Speaker 2: I gotta stop it myself. Number six, you are composing
- 30:08Speaker 2: a review for National Geographic. So that's a 17% review
- 30:14Speaker 2: of The Conjuring 2, one word at a time, for
- 30:17Speaker 2: National Geographic.
- 30:19Speaker 4: Take it away.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Give a round of applause, everyone.
- 30:26Speaker 4: One, two, three, shoot. One, two, three, shoot. And that
- 30:30Speaker 4: accomplished nothing.
- 30:31Speaker 2: You decide who starts.
- 30:33Speaker 4: You start. Okay. Okay.
- 30:35Speaker 2: All right.
- 30:38Speaker 5: Hello.
- 30:39Speaker 4: Governor.
- 30:41Speaker 7: We.
- 30:43Speaker 9: Are.
- 30:43Speaker 4: National. Geographic.
- 30:45Speaker 7: And.
- 30:46Speaker 5: We.
- 30:47Speaker 2: Saw. A. Movie. And.
- 30:51Speaker 7: It.
- 30:51Speaker 4: Was. Awful.
- 30:53Speaker 11: So.
- 30:54Speaker 2: Awful.
- 30:55Speaker 6: Just.
- 30:55Speaker 8: Bad.
- 30:56Speaker 7: Pisser.
- 30:56Speaker 5: And.
- 30:57Speaker 4: Pooper.
- 30:57Speaker 7: They.
- 30:58Speaker 4: Didn't... Even.
- 30:58Speaker 11: Kill.
- 30:58Speaker 4: Anyone!
- 30:59Speaker 5: Cause.
- 30:59Speaker 2: They.
- 31:00Speaker 8: Were.
- 31:01Speaker 4: Just... Already.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Pisser!
- 31:02Speaker 7: Ghosts... Are.
- 31:02Speaker 2: Not.
- 31:02Speaker 4: People.
- 31:02Speaker 7: So....
- 31:27Speaker 9: I.
- 31:27Speaker 1: Am.
- 31:28Speaker 4: Mad!
- 31:32Speaker 10: They.
- 31:33Speaker 4: Are.
- 31:35Speaker 4: Not.
- 31:38Speaker 4: Spooky... Enough... For... Me... And... My... Crew!
- 31:45Speaker 3: 17... Percent.
- 31:48Speaker 2: That.
- 31:48Speaker 11: Is.
- 31:49Speaker 8: A.
- 31:54Speaker 2: Bam!
- 31:54Speaker 4: Score!
- 31:55Speaker 2: All right, give it up for Stabber! I love how
- 32:03Speaker 2: close that like every review with this is this For
- 32:07Speaker 2: people also, I did have to look it up just
- 32:10Speaker 2: because you did the accents of National Geographic was founded
- 32:13Speaker 2: in Washington DC It's very much an American publication.
- 32:18Speaker 5: Ladies and gentlemen at home Matt doesn't think that any
- 32:21Speaker 5: Australians live in Washington DC, which I think is racist.
- 32:25Speaker 2: That's on me I should be aware that people from
- 32:29Speaker 2: other countries live in this country. I loved that so much.
- 32:36Speaker 2: I didn't learn anything about the film, but I didn't
- 32:38Speaker 2: really need to that much. I loved how quick you were.
- 32:40Speaker 2: I loved how it matched the 17%. And I loved
- 32:43Speaker 2: how you matched the tone of National Geographic by being national. International.
- 32:49Speaker 2: I'm going to give you the full five out of
- 32:51Speaker 2: five points.
- 32:52Speaker 7: Woo!
- 32:54Speaker 5: They're gonna blow it.
- 32:55Speaker 4: They're gonna blow it.
- 32:57Speaker 2: They can't follow that up. Okay, moving on over to
- 33:01Speaker 2: the boogie women. Are you ready?
- 33:04Speaker 1: Taboogie?
- 33:05Speaker 2: Yes.
- 33:06Speaker 4: Yes, taboogie.
- 33:08Speaker 2: Okay, first off, we are going to find out the
- 33:10Speaker 2: name of your... Sorry, that's a very funny sign that
- 33:13Speaker 2: Casey has. I'm not going to share it. I would
- 33:19Speaker 2: like the name of another horror movie from y'all. My
- 33:25Speaker 2: parents' wedding video. I heard Insidious. I feel like Insidious
- 33:31Speaker 2: is a horror movie. We'll go with Insidious? Happy to
- 33:36Speaker 2: go with Insidious?
- 33:38Speaker 1: I've heard that title before.
- 33:40Speaker 4: I've seen it quite a few times.
- 33:43Speaker 1: It evens out.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Well, Audra, you better give it quite a glowing review
- 33:46Speaker 2: because you have 83% for Insidious.
- 33:50Speaker 9: It was so good, I wiped my mind so that
- 33:52Speaker 9: I could watch it for the first time again.
- 33:56Speaker 2: And let's find out the publication you will be composing
- 33:59Speaker 2: your review for.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Oh, it just keeps going.
- 34:01Speaker 2: It just keeps going, genuinely. I smashed it at Fan Expo.
- 34:04Speaker 7: I want to see how far it will go.
- 34:06Speaker 2: Honestly, we'd be here till midnight.
- 34:09Speaker 1: And we all will.
- 34:10Speaker 4: We all will.
- 34:12Speaker 2: It just keeps going.
- 34:14Speaker 4: I fucking love it.
- 34:15Speaker 5: Wow.
- 34:15Speaker 2: It should power our power group. Honestly, if the wheel's
- 34:17Speaker 2: more entertaining than us five, we could do that next month.
- 34:22Speaker 7: Brutal.
- 34:22Speaker 4: Wheel, wheel, wheel, wheel.
- 34:26Speaker 2: Okay, you'll be composing your review for Vogue. So you
- 34:31Speaker 2: can throw in some fashion tips in there as well.
- 34:34Speaker 2: That'd be awesome. So this is an 83% review of Insidious,
- 34:38Speaker 2: one word at a time, for Vogue. Take it away.
- 34:41Speaker 2: Give them a round of.
- 34:48Speaker 4: Applause.
- 34:49Speaker 1: Insidious was.
- 34:53Speaker 4: Incredible. The fashion melted my brain. Good writing.
- 35:01Speaker 10: Honestly, I couldn't look away.
- 35:05Speaker 4: Everything just melted. was so succinct.
- 35:30Speaker 2: It means short in a good way. Thank you.
- 35:33Speaker 3: My eyes were glowing when Patrick did the And he
- 35:48Speaker 3: didn't do a thing.
- 35:50Speaker 4: His actions were incredibly hot. Patrick and the ghost.
- 36:17Speaker 1: Were doing it.
- 36:20Speaker 4: I loved every minute of that scene.
- 36:23Speaker 8: Give it up!
- 36:37Speaker 2: That was fantastic. I love how you channeled the Vogue writers,
- 36:41Speaker 2: addressing the fashion, talking about the hotness of Patrick. Fantastic stuff.
- 36:47Speaker 5: Is there a character named Patrick in this? Yeah.
- 36:50Speaker 1: I know it now.
- 36:51Speaker 4: It's a demon.
- 36:52Speaker 2: Erin, is there a character called Patrick?
- 36:54Speaker 4: Patrick Wilson is the star.
- 36:57Speaker 7: Nice.
- 36:57Speaker 4: Very good. Excellent.
- 37:01Speaker 2: That is film knowledge. It's building it out. I loved
- 37:05Speaker 2: your energy. I'm going to give you four out of
- 37:07Speaker 2: five points for that.
- 37:09Speaker 1: Four points.
- 37:13Speaker 4: Four points. Oh, sorry, was I supposed to give five
- 37:16Speaker 4: for that?
- 37:16Speaker 5: No.
- 37:17Speaker 2: No.
- 37:18Speaker 9: No.
- 37:18Speaker 4: It wasn't a ghost.
- 37:20Speaker 2: It wasn't a ghost. And Patrick Wilson's name is the actor,
- 37:23Speaker 2: not the character.
- 37:23Speaker 4: That's exactly right.
- 37:24Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 37:25Speaker 4: Patrick's the star of the movie.
- 37:27Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 37:28Speaker 2: Patrick's the star.
- 37:33Speaker 11: Yes.
- 37:35Speaker 4: That's the Patrick.
- 37:36Speaker 1: Educate yourself.
- 37:36Speaker 2: They don't have SpongeBob in the UK. He doesn't know
- 37:38Speaker 2: who that is.
- 37:39Speaker 4: No, we didn't get it.
- 37:41Speaker 2: All they have is a declining economy.
- 37:45Speaker 4: Wow, okay. You roasted him.
- 37:47Speaker 2: From America. At least we did it to ourselves.
- 37:52Speaker 10: You know, both those movies have Patrick Wilson in them,
- 37:54Speaker 10: by the way, that we did.
- 37:56Speaker 4: Really? Just a little.
- 37:58Speaker 2: And Aaron, that's why we have you here for the trivia.
- 38:01Speaker 4: Do you need an extra credit? Don't let her get extra.
- 38:04Speaker 2: But unfortunately, I can't give you a bonus point for
- 38:06Speaker 2: it because I'm trying to make the illusion of a
- 38:08Speaker 2: close game. You're on thin ice, fucker.
- 38:13Speaker 4: Okay, that's the end of the round.
- 38:16Speaker 2: Producer Logan, could you please pull out our innards and
- 38:19Speaker 2: arrange them on the ground in a sort of ritualistic
- 38:21Speaker 2: viscera and reveal the latest score? Delicious.
- 38:24Speaker 4: You're asking a lot of me. I really am. I'm
- 38:26Speaker 4: going to be reading the points.
- 38:29Speaker 7: Okay.
- 38:30Speaker 5: Have 12 points, and Stabba has 10.
- 38:33Speaker 4: Ooh, okay.
- 38:35Speaker 2: The gap's closing.
- 38:36Speaker 4: The gap's closing.
- 38:37Speaker 2: Getting closer.
- 38:38Speaker 5: They're going to blow it. More like Boogie going to
- 38:42Speaker 5: blow it. That's the original Zach. That might happen, but.
- 38:49Speaker 1: That's for me to decide, not you.
- 38:51Speaker 5: If round three is about Friday the 13th, you're screwed.
- 38:55Speaker 5: If it's about Nightmare on Elm Street, you have this
- 38:57Speaker 5: in the bag.
- 38:58Speaker 4: Oh, no.
- 38:59Speaker 2: Okay, bad news, everyone. We made $ 200 million at the
- 39:03Speaker 2: box office, so the studio has ordered a threequel. We're
- 39:06Speaker 2: teetering dangerously close to a cinematic universe, so it's time
- 39:09Speaker 2: for round three!
- 39:10Speaker 7: Yay!
- 39:14Speaker 4: Locked it! I'm doing it for the boys! Duh, boys.
- 39:19Speaker 2: Round three is called Date Leapers. It's our year-based trivia game.
- 39:23Speaker 2: I'm going to put this down.
- 39:24Speaker 7: Ooh.
- 39:25Speaker 2: I keep spinning around. This is where the audience has
- 39:27Speaker 2: a real chance to rack up points. Do you all
- 39:29Speaker 2: have- your dry erase paddles? Very good. Lovely stuff. There'll
- 39:36Speaker 2: be some on chairs if you don't have them. Please
- 39:38Speaker 2: feel free to grab them. I will ask a trivia question,
- 39:42Speaker 2: a simple trivia question, where the answer is always a
- 39:44Speaker 2: year in history, such as 1999 or 8000 BC. Everyone
- 39:50Speaker 2: will each individually write down.
- 39:55Speaker 2: Everyone will each individually write down the answer. Very good, Troy. Hey,
- 40:00Speaker 2: this is a family show.
- 40:01Speaker 4: Very good, Troy. We screamed fuck.
- 40:03Speaker 2: Troy has made the handle.
- 40:06Speaker 1: Of his paddle, I believe a penis. The lights are
- 40:09Speaker 1: very bright in my eyes.
- 40:10Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 40:12Speaker 2: It was a paddle penis.
- 40:13Speaker 1: It was a paddle penis, we have confirmed.
- 40:16Speaker 2: Okay, everyone in the room, players, do players have paddles? Yeah,
- 40:21Speaker 2: you guys got it. The Lord's Way. Do players not
- 40:24Speaker 2: have paddles? Players are the only people I forgot to
- 40:25Speaker 2: give paddles to. I don't have a paddle. Fantastic. No, no,
- 40:29Speaker 2: that's my bad. Yeah, if we could get some donations
- 40:33Speaker 2: of paddles for each of the players. Thank you so much.
- 40:35Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 40:36Speaker 5: Donations.
- 40:36Speaker 4: That's appreciated.
- 40:39Speaker 2: And then there might be some more to hand out
- 40:40Speaker 2: to the folks who.
- 40:43Speaker 4: Oh, no. Yeah, that's not good.
- 40:44Speaker 1: No, that's for Rafa.
- 40:49Speaker 2: I swear we're organized. So, the answer to each question
- 40:53Speaker 2: will be a year in history. Write those down on
- 40:55Speaker 2: the paddle, hopefully while bantering, because we don't want dead air.
- 40:57Speaker 4: Horror themed.
- 41:00Speaker 2: Thank you, thank you. Was that a slant pun? Is
- 41:03Speaker 2: that what Ben says?
- 41:04Speaker 5: The slant pun?
- 41:05Speaker 1: Slant pun.
- 41:06Speaker 2: Yeah, cool. The difference is, for the audience, if you
- 41:10Speaker 2: get the exact year, I'm going to give the audience
- 41:12Speaker 2: five points. So if any one person in the audience
- 41:15Speaker 2: gets it right, five points.
- 41:17Speaker 7: Lucky.
- 41:18Speaker 2: The teams have a tougher task because their official answer
- 41:22Speaker 2: will be the exact midpoint between the two answers given
- 41:26Speaker 2: by each teammate. So don't look at each other's paddles.
- 41:30Speaker 2: I'll do the maths. Sorry, math.
- 41:33Speaker 8: Yeah, USA!
- 41:38Speaker 2: It's pluralized because there's always more than one number, guys.
- 41:41Speaker 5: Yeah, but followed by a S. That's why you guys
- 41:45Speaker 5: lost control of your own language, man.
- 41:46Speaker 2: Yeah. That's why we took it over.
- 41:48Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 41:48Speaker 2: You think you're the kings of the English language? Well,
- 41:51Speaker 2: we don't believe in kings.
- 41:52Speaker 5: We fought a whole war that said we don't gotta
- 41:55Speaker 5: give no fucks about your king.
- 41:57Speaker 2: USA! USA!
- 41:58Speaker 7: USA!
- 41:59Speaker 2: USA! It sounds so aggressive when it's just the men.
- 42:06Speaker 2: So male.
- 42:08Speaker 9: I was chanting too, but my register dropped so much.
- 42:12Speaker 5: Everyone's a male when they're chanting USA.
- 42:17Speaker 4: Except for burgers. The only king will allow.
- 42:22Speaker 2: Combined answers on stage. Don't look at each other's answers. Okay,
- 42:25Speaker 2: first question. First question, everyone. What year did Michael Myers
- 42:29Speaker 2: brutally kill his sister? What year did Michael Myers brutally
- 42:34Speaker 2: kill his sister?
- 42:35Speaker 7: And just so the audience is aware, what number are
- 42:41Speaker 7: we writing down again?
- 42:43Speaker 2: You'll be writing down the year you think that happened.
- 42:45Speaker 4: Yep, I know.
- 42:46Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 42:48Speaker 4: This is so embarrassing.
- 42:51Speaker 1: Just say you're accommodating my wrong answer.
- 42:54Speaker 5: His sister's name was Judith. There's your hot Halloween fact.
- 42:59Speaker 5: for this dead air portion.
- 43:00Speaker 2: I love how you said it quietly enough just for
- 43:01Speaker 2: the podcast.
- 43:02Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 43:02Speaker 5: This isn't for the people in the room. They're the
- 43:04Speaker 5: true audience. They don't get to know about Judith Myers.
- 43:07Speaker 2: I've seen this movie once.
- 43:08Speaker 5: You know?
- 43:09Speaker 4: It's very good.
- 43:09Speaker 2: I like my face.
- 43:10Speaker 4: It's called Judy.
- 43:11Speaker 1: I'm trying to do the math back and forth.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Her last words were, aw shit, don't stab me. Okay,
- 43:15Speaker 2: we're gonna get some official answers from the folks on
- 43:18Speaker 2: stage first. So Stabber, would you like to turn your
- 43:22Speaker 2: paddles around and reveal your dates that you've got?
- 43:26Speaker 4: Oh no, Zach! First Halloween takes place in 1975!
- 43:29Speaker 7: Oh no!
- 43:29Speaker 4: I know!
- 43:33Speaker 2: So we've got 1994. We're the ones blowing it! Zach,
- 43:37Speaker 2: what's your number?
- 43:38Speaker 5: 1962, because it happens vaguely 10 to 13 years before
- 43:42Speaker 5: he's a grown man.
- 43:43Speaker 4: But look, his artistic abilities!
- 43:46Speaker 2: Bingo, oh my goodness, you are faster than my calculator. Bingo,
- 43:48Speaker 2: you are going to be the person doing this for
- 43:50Speaker 2: the rest of this round. Thank you, Bingo.
- 43:53Speaker 4: You're doing the math.
- 43:54Speaker 2: So we've got 1978 versus... I put 1968. Okay, 1968
- 44:01Speaker 2: and Erin Putt.
- 44:01Speaker 4: I went to, this is like the most embarrassing moment
- 44:04Speaker 4: in my life. 1956.
- 44:05Speaker 7: Yeah, I was just as embarrassed for sure.
- 44:09Speaker 2: Their average is 1962. So we've got 1962 versus 1978.
- 44:11Speaker 2: I can reveal the actual answer, thanks to laws of averages,
- 44:13Speaker 2: is 1963. They were only one year off. Does anyone
- 44:14Speaker 2: have 1963? We've got 1963 in the audience. So, Logan,
- 44:28Speaker 2: five points to the audience.
- 44:30Speaker 4: USA!
- 44:31Speaker 7: USA!
- 44:32Speaker 4: USA! I'm feeling unsafe, so I'm going to hold this knife.
- 44:36Speaker 7: You should.
- 44:36Speaker 4: Hey, you should.
- 44:37Speaker 2: That's more useful in the UK. In the USA, you
- 44:39Speaker 2: need a gun. Logan, can we also give two points
- 44:44Speaker 2: over here to the boogie women for being very close?
- 44:47Speaker 4: That's fair.
- 44:49Speaker 2: Oh, my goodness. Audience, well done. Well done, sir. Very good.
- 44:51Speaker 2: Give them a round of applause. Okay, next question. What
- 44:57Speaker 2: year was The Thing released? You know, The Thing.
- 45:00Speaker 4: Dude.
- 45:01Speaker 2: John Carpenter's or the remake? John Carpenter's The Thing. Okay.
- 45:06Speaker 1: Again, I know the first two numbers, so I'm halfway there.
- 45:10Speaker 8: Amen.
- 45:10Speaker 11: Okay.
- 45:16Speaker 1: And then I get a little bit of artistic license.
- 45:18Speaker 9: Yeah, this is artistic license.
- 45:22Speaker 5: It's more exciting if your failure is revealed in real time.
- 45:26Speaker 2: Okay, we're going to come to the panel for an
- 45:29Speaker 2: answer very soon. Audra has panic written an answer. Let's
- 45:33Speaker 2: find out. Turn it around, boogie women. 1961 and 1982.
- 45:38Speaker 1: I couldn't remember if it was black and white. I'm
- 45:42Speaker 1: so sorry.
- 45:43Speaker 4: 1971 and a half.
- 45:44Speaker 2: We're going to round it up to 1972.
- 45:47Speaker 4: We always round up on Fandemonium.
- 45:48Speaker 1: Okay.
- 45:49Speaker 7: 1972.
- 45:49Speaker 2: And then let's reveal Stabber. We got 1985 and 1981.
- 45:52Speaker 2: Pretty close. Hell yeah. And bingo, that's got to be 83, right?
- 46:05Speaker 4: Sorry, I didn't, I should have asked. That's our maths guy.
- 46:10Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 46:11Speaker 5: They can put the S at the end of math,
- 46:13Speaker 5: but they can't do it.
- 46:15Speaker 4: Me either.
- 46:16Speaker 2: Okay, so we have 78, 72, and 83. The actual
- 46:18Speaker 2: answer is 1982.
- 46:19Speaker 11: Oh, shit!
- 46:19Speaker 2: Did we win?
- 46:19Speaker 8: Did we win?
- 46:30Speaker 2: You win two points.
- 46:32Speaker 4: Yeah!
- 46:33Speaker 3: Yeah, boys!
- 46:35Speaker 1: Ellen for the boys!
- 46:36Speaker 5: Oh, I'm so sorry.
- 46:37Speaker 4: I knew the actual year.
- 46:39Speaker 2: I love you too, sir. No one in the audience
- 46:41Speaker 2: had 1982? Yeah, the true horror, ladies and gentlemen, is love.
- 46:44Speaker 4: So close. I did.
- 46:47Speaker 2: Okay, next question.
- 46:48Speaker 4: Next question.
- 46:49Speaker 2: Bit of culture for everyone.
- 46:50Speaker 4: Okay, okay.
- 46:51Speaker 2: Georges Méliès' Le Manoir du Diable is regarded as the
- 46:55Speaker 2: first ever horror movie. What year was it released? What
- 47:01Speaker 2: year was Georges Méliès' Le Manoir.
- 47:04Speaker 4: Du Diable released?
- 47:07Speaker 2: We've all seen it.
- 47:09Speaker 11: Yeah, every single person in this theater is incredibly intimately
- 47:14Speaker 11: familiar with that film.
- 47:20Speaker 1: I put down a number. The true horror guy.
- 47:22Speaker 8: French.
- 47:22Speaker 4: Okay, we are going to come over to Stafford first.
- 47:24Speaker 4: What have you got? Turn those paddles round. They didn't
- 47:26Speaker 4: have movies then, Aaron.
- 47:28Speaker 2: Aaron, what did you put? I actually don't hate that
- 47:39Speaker 2: as an answer.
- 47:39Speaker 4: I don't either.
- 47:40Speaker 2: Yeah, 1856.
- 47:41Speaker 4: 1946.
- 47:41Speaker 2: 1901. 1901 is their average, okay.
- 47:46Speaker 4: It wasn't as bad as I usually am.
- 47:48Speaker 5: They literally didn't, movies weren't invented then.
- 47:51Speaker 2: And boogie women.
- 47:53Speaker 4: Movie pictures ain't a movie.
- 47:55Speaker 7: 1910.
- 47:55Speaker 2: That's my gal.
- 47:56Speaker 7: 1961.
- 47:56Speaker 2: 1935. And 1935, the interwar years. Uh-huh. Were they making
- 48:04Speaker 2: horror movies in the interwar years? Let's find out, because
- 48:07Speaker 2: the actual answer, Dawn of Cinema, 1896. Oh, he was.
- 48:14Speaker 4: Roasting me, people.
- 48:15Speaker 2: So 1901 is going to be closer. So let's give
- 48:18Speaker 2: one point, because it's not that close, but it's close. Wow.
- 48:21Speaker 2: Let's give one point. I'll take the L for that one.
- 48:24Speaker 2: Did anyone in the audience have 1896? I would go
- 48:27Speaker 2: crazy if you did. No, so sorry, because now I'm
- 48:33Speaker 2: giving you enough time to write it from scratch is
- 48:34Speaker 2: the thing. Okay, one question. It's good to have fair boys.
- 48:40Speaker 2: One question left in this round. This one you've got
- 48:43Speaker 2: to listen up carefully. If 28 Days Later was released
- 48:46Speaker 2: 28 weeks later than 28 years later, what day, what
- 48:50Speaker 2: year would 28 Days Later have been released?
- 48:53Speaker 4: Again.
- 48:55Speaker 2: If 28 Days Later was released 28 weeks later than
- 48:58Speaker 2: 28 years later, what year would 28 Days Later have
- 49:02Speaker 2: been released?
- 49:05Speaker 1: Okay, one more time.
- 49:08Speaker 2: If 28 Days Later was released 28 weeks later than
- 49:11Speaker 2: 28 years later, what year would 28 Days Later have
- 49:14Speaker 2: been released?
- 49:17Speaker 1: Okay, let's... find out if I.
- 49:21Speaker 4: What? No.
- 49:22Speaker 7: Am I high?
- 49:23Speaker 4: No.
- 49:25Speaker 2: It's just a simple maths problem. It is currently unknown
- 49:27Speaker 2: if Aaron is or.
- 49:28Speaker 4: Is not high. I'm not, but it's sounding good.
- 49:32Speaker 2: Okay, we are going to get an answer first from
- 49:35Speaker 2: the boogie women. Let's turn that around.
- 49:36Speaker 4: Wait, wait, wait, wait. Hold on, hold on. She's not
- 49:39Speaker 4: locked in.
- 49:39Speaker 7: Just a sec.
- 49:39Speaker 9: Okay.
- 49:41Speaker 4: He said 28. Can you repeat the question?
- 49:44Speaker 2: I said it three times.
- 49:45Speaker 4: Okay.
- 49:47Speaker 2: We don't have time. We don't have time.
- 49:49Speaker 11: If he says it again, the big dick zombie shows up.
- 49:56Speaker 2: Oh, no. If 28 days late.
- 50:01Speaker 2: Okay, let's get.
- 50:03Speaker 4: I'm not saying it one more time.
- 50:04Speaker 2: For everyone who knows, I authentically know the answer to
- 50:06Speaker 2: this question. I'm so sorry. We're already overrunning in time.
- 50:09Speaker 7: Okay.
- 50:09Speaker 4: Reveal.
- 50:10Speaker 2: 2025 and 2026, which rounds up to 2026... Okay, let's
- 50:18Speaker 2: study around. 2026 and 2009. I'm gonna need Bingo's help
- 50:21Speaker 2: for this one.
- 50:21Speaker 5: 2017. 2017.
- 50:21Speaker 2: 28 years later came out this year, dog. 2016. It's
- 50:33Speaker 2: got Ralph Fiennes in it. Shout out to Ralph Fiennes.
- 50:36Speaker 4: I didn't know that.
- 50:37Speaker 2: It's going to be three points to the Boogie Women
- 50:40Speaker 2: for getting it exactly right. It is indeed 2026. 28
- 50:43Speaker 2: weeks later than June 19th, 2025, when the movie was released,
- 50:45Speaker 2: is January 1st, 2026. So it was released in 2026.
- 50:55Speaker 2: Audience has 26. Five points to the audience, please. Okay,
- 51:08Speaker 2: that is the end. Thank you so much for participating
- 51:10Speaker 2: with that, everyone. That is the end of round three.
- 51:14Speaker 2: Producer Logan, could you set fire to this whole theater
- 51:16Speaker 2: and spell out the scores in the ashes, you absolute psychopath?
- 51:20Speaker 1: He's going to do it.
- 51:21Speaker 5: I will read the scores. Our audience has 10 points.
- 51:28Speaker 2: Stabba has 13 points.
- 51:29Speaker 5: Yay!
- 51:30Speaker 2: That's Friday the 13th.
- 51:36Speaker 4: Is that even more?
- 51:38Speaker 2: That's more. They've gained, but it can all change in
- 51:42Speaker 2: the quickfire round. Anything can happen.
- 51:45Speaker 4: It's wild.
- 51:46Speaker 2: It's crazy. But before the quickfire round, let's remind everyone
- 51:49Speaker 2: what we're all playing for. It's our mystery prize. What
- 51:54Speaker 2: could it be? It's a letter from my dad saying
- 51:57Speaker 2: he loves me.
- 51:57Speaker 4: We'll find out in about five minutes.
- 52:00Speaker 2: Okay, let's do it. It's time for the quickfire round.
- 52:15Speaker 2: I defended your terrible shirt our final quickfire round will
- 52:21Speaker 2: test our players horror movie knowledge and it's called synapsis
- 52:25Speaker 2: sorry synopsis in that's very clever you'll get it in
- 52:28Speaker 2: a second In this game, I will give our players
- 52:31Speaker 2: a synopsis of a horror movie. I've changed one letter
- 52:35Speaker 2: in one of the titles of the top 50 highest
- 52:38Speaker 2: horror grossing horror movies, highest grossing horror movies of all time,
- 52:42Speaker 2: to create a brand new movie title. I would like
- 52:45Speaker 2: the new movie title from you as the answer, so
- 52:47Speaker 2: I will give you the synopsis. It is a one
- 52:50Speaker 2: letter changed from an already existing very popular horror movie.
- 52:54Speaker 2: There is a classic Gate Leapers twist. You need to
- 52:57Speaker 2: say two tickets to... the name of the movie, please. Otherwise,
- 53:01Speaker 2: I cannot give you the point. And I'm not sure
- 53:04Speaker 2: I stuck to this rule at last month's show, so audience,
- 53:06Speaker 2: can you please be watching out that they're saying that
- 53:09Speaker 2: as a thing? Yeah, yeah, yeah. We'll do an example
- 53:13Speaker 2: just to see where we're all at. Oh, wait, it's
- 53:16Speaker 2: quick fire, so buzz in by yelling out your team names.
- 53:18Speaker 2: Let's practice that now.
- 53:20Speaker 4: Boogie!
- 53:20Speaker 5: Shabba! I feel like they should have to read out
- 53:23Speaker 5: their entire long T name.
- 53:25Speaker 7: I agree.
- 53:25Speaker 2: We'll go with buggy. It's fine. Is that buh? Buggy. Yeah,
- 53:30Speaker 2: it's the same number of syllables. That's two syllables for
- 53:32Speaker 2: the people listening at home. Sorry, I can count because
- 53:33Speaker 2: I know maths.
- 53:36Speaker 4: There's maths there.
- 53:37Speaker 2: So, for example.
- 53:41Speaker 2: I didn't hear it, but I'll hear it when I'm
- 53:42Speaker 2: editing it. For example, if I said three student filmmakers
- 53:47Speaker 2: vanish while investigating a local horologist... They're stalked by wrist-based
- 53:52Speaker 2: timepieces in this 1999 found footage classic.
- 54:00Speaker 4: Stabber. I heard Stabber first.
- 54:02Speaker 2: Two tickets to Blair Witch Project. What would be the
- 54:07Speaker 2: name of the new movie?
- 54:08Speaker 5: Okay, do I change any of the- You change one
- 54:11Speaker 5: letter in the Blair- The Boar.
- 54:13Speaker 4: The Bloor.
- 54:14Speaker 2: That's funny. Yes, Audra.
- 54:19Speaker 1: The two tickets to the Blair Watch Project.
- 54:24Speaker 4: It is indeed the Blair Watch Project. That's great.
- 54:29Speaker 2: I've lost my own name. That's what we're looking for.
- 54:34Speaker 2: Oh my god, that's my name a bunch. Thank you.
- 54:37Speaker 2: Thank you for restoring my spirit.
- 54:39Speaker 1: Oh my god, that's my name a bunch.
- 54:41Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 54:42Speaker 5: You know, at the beginning of this round, they may
- 54:46Speaker 5: have Pearl Harbored us, but we all know how that
- 54:47Speaker 5: story ended for the Pearl Harbored, so.
- 54:49Speaker 2: Did someone say come back?
- 54:51Speaker 7: Wait.
- 54:51Speaker 2: Did someone say come back? If that was another dick
- 54:53Speaker 2: at me, that wasn't my country. No, no, no, that
- 54:54Speaker 2: was our thing.
- 54:55Speaker 4: That was our thing, yeah. That's alright.
- 54:56Speaker 2: That was our thing?
- 54:57Speaker 4: I don't know if I want to be part of that.
- 54:58Speaker 2: That's alright, okay. And we appreciate the help. Of course.
- 55:02Speaker 2: I know the goodwill is out. I want to go
- 55:07Speaker 2: on a fascism riff, but we don't have time. Okay,
- 55:11Speaker 2: interrupt me at any point during the clue.
- 55:13Speaker 4: Are we ready?
- 55:15Speaker 5: Yeah!
- 55:15Speaker 2: Let's do this! An FBI trainee named Clarice Starling... Buggy! Oh,
- 55:21Speaker 2: we don't have to wait for him to finish?
- 55:22Speaker 3: No!
- 55:24Speaker 2: Do you want to take a guess, though?
- 55:26Speaker 4: Two tickets.
- 55:28Speaker 10: to the Silence of the Crows?
- 55:33Speaker 2: It's not Silence of the Crows. I'll keep reading the clue,
- 55:35Speaker 2: but you're back in. An FBI trainee named Clarice Starling
- 55:39Speaker 2: seeks help from an incarcerated cannibal to catch a long-legged
- 55:42Speaker 2: serial killer who is using his extra long arms to
- 55:45Speaker 2: strangle people. Yes. Two tickets to Silence of the Limbs.
- 55:50Speaker 2: It is Silence of the Limbs!
- 55:51Speaker 5: Come back!
- 55:52Speaker 4: That's a point!
- 55:52Speaker 5: Come back!
- 55:55Speaker 2: Okay, we can't chant after everyone because there's 12 of these.
- 55:59Speaker 2: A giant vat of strawberry preserves terrorizes a fiction. Yes.
- 56:06Speaker 4: Yes. It's two tickets to Strawberry? To the movie Strawberry?
- 56:14Speaker 7: That Zach, my friend, it might help me with.
- 56:17Speaker 4: Can he help me? Can he help me? He can't
- 56:19Speaker 4: help me?
- 56:20Speaker 2: All right, I'll keep reading the clue. Fuck! A giant
- 56:23Speaker 2: bite of strawberry preserves terrorizes a fictional New England summer
- 56:26Speaker 2: resort town in this sticky sweet 1975 summer blockbuster classic
- 56:30Speaker 2: directed by Steven Spielberg.
- 56:34Speaker 1: Boogie women.
- 56:35Speaker 2: Yes, all drunk.
- 56:38Speaker 1: Two tickets to.
- 56:41Speaker 4: Jams?
- 56:42Speaker 2: It is jams! Jaws, jams, jaws, jams.
- 56:46Speaker 4: Only one letter. That's all it's changed.
- 56:49Speaker 2: One letter. We've got ten more of these. A group
- 56:51Speaker 2: of teenagers are stalked and murdered in their dreams by
- 56:54Speaker 2: an ex-classmate looking to sell them dietary supplements, skincare routines,
- 56:57Speaker 2: and a timeshare via Facebook. A group of teenagers are
- 57:02Speaker 2: stalked and killed in their dreams by an ex-classmate looking
- 57:05Speaker 2: to sell them dietary supplements, skincare routines, and a timeshare
- 57:09Speaker 2: via Facebook. And if no one on stage knows, I
- 57:13Speaker 2: will ask the audience.
- 57:14Speaker 7: No.
- 57:15Speaker 4: Robbie's got it.
- 57:16Speaker 9: Robbie?
- 57:16Speaker 4: Of course Robbie has it. Do it.
- 57:19Speaker 2: Go for it, Robbie. Two tickets to Nightmare on MLM Street.
- 57:24Speaker 2: It is indeed. That's going to be a point for
- 57:26Speaker 2: the audience. Robbie.
- 57:29Speaker 4: Audience.
- 57:32Speaker 5: MLM.
- 57:32Speaker 2: Based on a video game series, a troubled young man
- 57:36Speaker 2: takes an overnight security job at an abandoned 1980s apiary.
- 57:41Speaker 2: where he's tormented by giant animatronic bees. Okay, we're giving
- 57:53Speaker 2: the players on stage a chance. Video game series, Troubled
- 57:56Speaker 2: Young Man takes an overnight security job at abandoned 1980s apiary,
- 58:00Speaker 2: where he's tormented by giant animatronic bees.
- 58:06Speaker 4: I know what it is. But I don't know the pun.
- 58:10Speaker 2: Okay, we're going to go to the audience. Was the
- 58:12Speaker 2: row a four? I think the boys. The boys got it.
- 58:14Speaker 2: Give it to them. I took too long. Do the
- 58:17Speaker 2: boys know this? The boys got it. Do you say
- 58:18Speaker 2: it at the same time?
- 58:19Speaker 1: Yeah, say it all at once.
- 58:21Speaker 4: All at once, boys. You are one. They're one.
- 58:26Speaker 2: Do you know the answer? I think so, yeah. Yell
- 58:28Speaker 2: it out.
- 58:29Speaker 4: You didn't say two tickets deal.
- 58:33Speaker 2: It's also not the answer. If it was a teddy
- 58:35Speaker 2: bear pun, yeah.
- 58:36Speaker 4: Bingo's got it. That's what I was going to say.
- 58:39Speaker 2: Oh, Tyler?
- 58:39Speaker 5: Can I get two tickets to Hive Nights at Freddy's?
- 58:43Speaker 4: It's Hive Nights at Freddy's. Five and a half, damn it.
- 58:46Speaker 4: Sounds like it is.
- 58:47Speaker 2: Thank you so much, Olius, for validating my brain. I
- 58:51Speaker 2: know the movie part, but not the pun part. A
- 58:53Speaker 2: struggling furniture store owner falls into an endless shifting dimension
- 58:57Speaker 2: of empty office rooms where music by a German Baroque
- 59:00Speaker 2: composer plays at all times.
- 59:02Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 59:04Speaker 2: Yes, Zach? Two tickets to the Bach Room. It is
- 59:07Speaker 2: the Bach Room!
- 59:08Speaker 7: Yeah! Yeah!
- 59:08Speaker 4: That's a point.
- 59:10Speaker 3: Whoa!
- 59:11Speaker 4: He's like, what if Mozart was cool?
- 59:12Speaker 2: The crew of the Nostromo are awakened from cryosleep in
- 59:17Speaker 2: order to investigate a distress signal. They're then stalked by
- 59:20Speaker 2: a giant version of a key used for constructing IKEA furniture.
- 59:23Speaker 5: Oh!
- 59:26Speaker 1: A boogie!
- 59:26Speaker 4: Yes, Audra.
- 59:28Speaker 1: Is this just.
- 59:29Speaker 2: Alan? It's Alan.
- 59:32Speaker 4: Doesn't count.
- 59:37Speaker 2: Let's give it to the audience. The Abbott family tries
- 59:42Speaker 2: to survive a post-apocalyptic world overrun by alien creatures that
- 59:46Speaker 2: insist on sewing triple-layered blankets together. Directed by Pom Krasinski.
- 59:51Speaker 1: Boogie.
- 59:52Speaker 5: Yes, Audra.
- 59:53Speaker 1: Two tickets to... The Quilt Place?
- 59:56Speaker 2: It is The Quilt Place.
- 59:57Speaker 4: Good stuff.
- 59:58Speaker 5: That wasn't it.
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: An old man and a boy scout are terrorized by
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: violent doppelgangers after arriving in their house propelled by balloons.
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: A new film from Jordan Peele.
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: Stabber. Yes, Erin? Two tickets to Up? It's just Up.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: Yeah, it is Up.
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: Good stuff.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: We follow a Vatican investigation into a mysterious suicide at
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: an assisted living facility in 1952 Romania, where they encounter
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: a demon grandma in this 2018 spin-off hit. 2018 spin-off
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: horror movie. Change one word. A demon grandma. In Romania.
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: And the church is involved. And the church is involved. Erin,
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: you got it.
- 1:00:52Speaker 7: Um.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: A boogie.
- 1:00:55Speaker 4: Yes, Audre.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: Two tickets to Young Pope the movie.
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: It's not Young Pope the movie, but it's a good guess.
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: In the back, we're giving this to the audience. Two
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: tickets to The Nan.
- 1:01:07Speaker 4: It is The Nan. Good stuff.
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: The Nan. The Nan. There's only two more. A gothic
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: romance horror film directed by Francis Ford Coppola that reimagines
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: this classic vampire tale as a tragic love story, but
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: it's produced by and starring Charlie XCX. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: Say it one... Yeah, one more time. A gothic romance
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: horror film directed by Francis Ford Coppola that reimagines the
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: classic vampire tale as a tragic love story produced by
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: and starring Charlie XCX.
- 1:01:40Speaker 4: Uh, Stabba. Yes, I heard Stabba. Uh, two tickets to Dracula-la.
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: I love it as an answer, but it's not right.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: Okay, boogie.
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: Yes, Audra. Um.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: Charlie XCX, she smokes, she smokes.
- 1:01:56Speaker 9: So two tickets to Dragula.
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: It's not what I've got here. I'm so sorry, but
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: I like it. I think we're throwing it to the audience. Amanda?
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: Does Charlie XCX get dragula? 20 tickets to Bratula? It's
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: so close, I'm tempted to give you it. We're looking
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: for Brat Stoker's Dracula. I'm gonna give another point to
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: the audience. They put Stoker's name.
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: I think you guys only got it because I started it.
- 1:02:28Speaker 9: I think the audience will agree with me when I say,
- 1:02:30Speaker 9: fuck you on that one.
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: Well, I did give them a point, so.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: And end it.
- 1:02:39Speaker 4: You can't.
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: Okay, last one before the buzzer. A squirrel visits the
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: secluded seed farm of his chipmunk girlfriend to meet her parents,
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: who turn out to be both systemically and violently against
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: squirrels and everything they collect for the winter. I think I.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: Know it, but I kind of want Amanda to answer.
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: I want to know what she's going to say so bad.
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: It's get nuts!
- 1:03:09Speaker 4: Oh, shit. Oh, instead of get out.
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: And that is the buzzer that I will add in post-production.
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: There it is. Thank you, Bambi. That's okay. Before we
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: get to the final scores, I'd like to thank our players.
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: You've all been absolutely horrific, but that was the theme.
- 1:03:26Speaker 4: I did feel that.
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: So you were brilliant. It was the pun part that
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: ruined the last round for me.
- 1:03:30Speaker 4: I think so. We were totally winning before that. Yeah,
- 1:03:35Speaker 4: we were.
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: Just before we get to those final scores, though, Erin,
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: you are a fantastic improviser, stand-up, comedy writer, and you
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: are in the flock who perform here at the Peak
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: Improv Theatre.
- 1:03:45Speaker 4: That's exactly right!
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: When can folks come and see the flock? Where can
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: they get tickets? All that good stuff.
- 1:03:51Speaker 4: I am so glad you asked.
- 1:03:52Speaker 7: You can get tickets online, and then you can also
- 1:03:54Speaker 7: get tickets here, and then you can also see us
- 1:03:56Speaker 7: every third Saturday.
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: Okay. Nice.
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: Oh, at the Peak Improv Theater here. That's where we
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: currently are. Physically. Not up here where the pod space is. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: So we'll just say peakimprov.com for tickets? I think so.
- 1:04:12Speaker 4: Let's say that. I would like to say that. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: You said it. Fantastic. Everyone give it up for Aaron.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: Aaron's been brilliant tonight.
- 1:04:23Speaker 4: First Aaron. First Aaron. First Aaron. It's because I'm a
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: good friend. That's right, my best friend.
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: Zach, you perform in the musical improv group Just In Time. Woo-hoo!
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: You are also leaving us soon.
- 1:04:38Speaker 7: I am.
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: Give oars for Zach.
- 1:04:39Speaker 4: I am, I'm flying away.
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: I hate you for that.
- 1:04:43Speaker 4: I know, I'm heartbroken.
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: But Zach, where can folks catch Just In Time? When, tickets,
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: all that good stuff.
- 1:04:50Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, so Just In Time opens for Toon Titans, which,
- 1:04:53Speaker 5: if I recall correctly, is the third Friday of the
- 1:04:57Speaker 5: month every month. and there's two more with me in them,
- 1:05:01Speaker 5: so it's like limited edition.
- 1:05:02Speaker 4: Yeah, my boys! Boys for just in time!
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: The boys are.
- 1:05:07Speaker 4: Back in town. Other Zach! Other Zach!
- 1:05:14Speaker 7: Zach!
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: Boy Zach!
- 1:05:17Speaker 4: OG Zach!
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: OG Zach!
- 1:05:19Speaker 4: OG Zach!
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: That's what it's like to have friends, Casey.
- 1:05:26Speaker 7: Not even on stage and catching straights.
- 1:05:36Speaker 4: It's hard to chant.
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: Erin, thank you so much for traveling down and joining
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: us for this. This has been a blast. I hope

- 1:07:15Speaker 8: Jeez.
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: Well, I'll start with this.
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: The audience did tie with one of the teams.
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: Who? Who? Who could it be? Who could it be?
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: They tied with 16 points. The winner between the two
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: teams is.

- 1:08:54Speaker 2: hear live. I wanted to go down that World War
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: II riff so badly, but we simply didn't have the time.
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: I hope you enjoyed that live recording as much as
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: I did. It was so much fun. Thank you again
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: to all of our guests. Support them. Check out their
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: work in the show notes of this very podcast. Follow
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: the links. And because you're listening all the way to
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: the end, I'm going to reveal what's going to happen
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: for the rest of October. So obviously on October 9th, Friday,
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: October 9th, you can come and see Fandemonium live at
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: the Peak Improv Theatre. Tickets available at peakimprov.com. Some brilliant
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: improvisers and comedians booked for that Hunger Games themed Fandemonium.
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: That's right, we are finally doing the Hunger Games. And
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: that episode itself will be out on October 30th. so
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: you won't have to wait long to listen to that one. Actually,
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: that previous episode might have been October 29th. But coming
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: in two weeks' time, on October 15th, is another guest-hosted
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: episode from a member of our cast, one of our
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: longtime favorite players here on Fandomonium. Jen, Producer Jen, is
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: going to be stepping into the host's chair for the
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: first time as a game show host. and she will
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: be hosting a Gossip Girl-themed episode, one of our most
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: requested fandoms, going alongside The Hunger Games. Two of our
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: most requested fandoms are happening this month. All that to
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: look forward to. Follow us on Instagram, at GateleapersPod. Check
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: us out on Patreon, patreon.com forward slash gateleapers. And if
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: you head over there, you can support us for a
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: few bucks a month and get access to video episodes.
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: Or you can support us for $ 11 per month. And
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: that gets you the accolades of knowing that you're supporting
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: independent comedic productions, as well as this very special themed shout-out.
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: And as this was the horror movie themed episode... I
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: wanna play a game. Voice of Jigsaw. From the movie Jigsaw. No,
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: it's Saw.
- 1:11:01Speaker 4: It's not Jigsaw. It's just Saw. Okay?
- 1:11:05Speaker 8: I wanna thank some babes. Those babes are Ash and Adam,
- 1:11:09Speaker 8: longtime supporters of the podcast.
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 1:11:13Speaker 8: And I want to say a name. And that name
- 1:11:16Speaker 8: is Justin Dodberg. One of the best names invented for
- 1:11:20Speaker 8: a Patreon shoutout ever. And I want to walk in
- 1:11:24Speaker 8: the rain. With Derek and Taylor, we've only ever had
- 1:11:27Speaker 8: a sunny hike. I wonder what a rainy hike would
- 1:11:30Speaker 8: be like. And I want to see some fame. For
- 1:11:33Speaker 8: Aaron Randolph and all the brilliant books he writes. He
- 1:11:37Speaker 8: deserves recognition. And I want to go to Maine. That's
- 1:11:41Speaker 8: not the state that Kristen Farley lives in, but I
- 1:11:44Speaker 8: have to make these introductory sentences rhyme, because that's the
- 1:11:48Speaker 8: game I'm playing.
- 1:11:49Speaker 10: I want to play a game.
- 1:11:50Speaker 8: I want to see Christmas saved. Because that's what Troy
- 1:11:54Speaker 8: Davidson does at the Dead Puppet Society Christmas sketch show
- 1:11:57Speaker 8: every year. Thank you, Troy. And now, I want to
- 1:12:01Speaker 8: play a game. But that game is Team Up. So
- 1:12:04Speaker 8: thank you to the cast of the Team Up Play
- 1:12:06Speaker 8: Show podcast. Johnny, Steph, Ethan, Ben. I wanted to say
- 1:12:11Speaker 8: your names. I want to game your play. Corbin Stein,
- 1:12:15Speaker 8: I'd like to see you in more plays. Or voice
- 1:12:18Speaker 8: roles or camera acting. Book Corbin, I really enjoyed your play.
- 1:12:24Speaker 8: Ivan Grossman, but it was improvised. Thank you for putting
- 1:12:28Speaker 8: on such a great play at the Peak Improv Theater.
- 1:12:31Speaker 8: I want to see you maimed. Matt Smith. But not
- 1:12:35Speaker 8: Matt Smith. I'd like to see the pretender maimed as
- 1:12:38Speaker 8: we all boo him on stage. I want to catch
- 1:12:41Speaker 8: a train. Or I wish America had a good train
- 1:12:45Speaker 8: network so that Shirley Stout could come and see shows
- 1:12:48Speaker 8: at the Peak Improv Theatre on a more regular basis. Okay,
- 1:12:53Speaker 8: everyone I just named. You have 20 minutes to retrieve
- 1:12:56Speaker 8: the key that I've put inside your eyeball.
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: I'm just kidding. Thank you so much for supporting... Fandemonium
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: on Patreon. I was in that voice for an uncomfortably
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: long time. Thank you for listening. To write at the end,
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: head on over to our Patreon for bonus content. But
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: until then, we will see you in two weeks with
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: another Fandemonium.
- 1:13:17Speaker 4: Goodbye!
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: This has been a Lilypad production.
