- 2:38Speaker 3: we are in the Book of Acciday. We go verse
- 2:40Speaker 3: by verse, chapter by chapter through the Word of God
- 2:43Speaker 3: together and just for a little bit of background, well
- 2:49Speaker 3: first and we get a verse we are in chapter
- 2:53Speaker 3: twenty five. We're gonna pick it up in verse thirteen.
- 2:57Speaker 3: We're gonna walk it all the way through verse twenty.
- 3:01Speaker 3: So make sure you grab your bibles, you know, pass
- 3:04Speaker 3: in your highlighter so you can follow along. And so
- 3:09Speaker 3: Paul is in this political situation. He was left in
- 3:16Speaker 3: prison for two years by Felix because he wanted to
- 3:20Speaker 3: do the Jews a favor. The Jews are calling for
- 3:24Speaker 3: his demise. They don't want him alive. He is not
- 3:28Speaker 3: fit to be on the earth. So the Jews have
- 3:32Speaker 3: judged him this way. But the Romans, they do not
- 3:39Speaker 3: see anything wrong with Paul has not done anything worthy
- 3:43Speaker 3: of death in the eyes of the Roman rulers, and
- 3:48Speaker 3: so they're taking them to court. They're taking them to
- 3:51Speaker 3: all these situations so they can hear his defense against
- 3:57Speaker 3: these charges against him. And so right now now Felix
- 4:01Speaker 3: is dealing with the situation. The Jews already approached them,
- 4:05Speaker 3: wanted them to do them a favor so they can
- 4:07Speaker 3: ambush them, bring them to Jerusalem. But Jesus already said
- 4:12Speaker 3: that he was going to Rome, and so Paul appeared
- 4:16Speaker 3: to appealed to Rome, and so they're in the process
- 4:20Speaker 3: of that. But we see Felix is sharing this situation
- 4:27Speaker 3: with King Agrippa when King comes to town, and so
- 4:31Speaker 3: he's trying to get some counsel, trying to get some
- 4:34Speaker 3: understanding as Paul becomes more of a political hot potato.
- 4:41Speaker 3: We're gonna dive into it and we're gonna pick it
- 4:44Speaker 3: up in verse thirteen. So Heavenly Father, we asked Lord
- 4:51Speaker 3: that you will touch this episode. We ask Heavenly Father
- 4:56Speaker 3: that you will bless our labors here. Father God, we
- 4:59Speaker 3: ask go God o Lord, that everyone who has been
- 5:03Speaker 3: assigned to this podcast or that this podcast will reach
- 5:07Speaker 3: them Oh God. We ask go God, that it will
- 5:10Speaker 3: be suggested to him, Oh God, or they will scroll
- 5:13Speaker 3: and find it. However, it may be Father God, that
- 5:17Speaker 3: every year will hear Father God, Oh Lord, we ask
- 5:20Speaker 3: Lord that you give us Rayma. We ask that you'll
- 5:24Speaker 3: give us revelation out of the scriptures in Jesus' mighty name.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Amen and amen. All right, let's pick it up and
- 5:41Speaker 3: verse thirteen. And after some days, King Agrippa and Barnice
- 5:51Speaker 3: came to Cessarea to greet Felix. All right, that's interesting.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Now we got king showing up. You see all these
- 6:05Speaker 3: travel all this traveling that these rulers have been able
- 6:12Speaker 3: to do. Felix has left Festus is there now King Agrippa,
- 6:19Speaker 3: and this is uh, of course, reminds me of how
- 6:23Speaker 3: Paul used to move around. He used to go from
- 6:26Speaker 3: church to church. Right now, Paul is stationary. He's been
- 6:30Speaker 3: in prison for two years now. King Agrippa was familiar
- 6:40Speaker 3: with the Jewish custom.
- 6:45Speaker 2: It looks like you lost another one now.
- 6:50Speaker 3: This made him uniquely suited to understand Paul's case as
- 6:59Speaker 3: we read it. Okay, all right, I'm trying to get
- 7:11Speaker 3: my place here. And they had been there many days,
- 7:15Speaker 3: Fessus laid Paul's case before the king. Now it said
- 7:23Speaker 3: that the king showed up. The king has been there
- 7:26Speaker 3: many days. This must have been working on Festu's heart
- 7:31Speaker 3: for him to bring it up to the king. So
- 7:33Speaker 3: he starts to speak to him about it, saying, there
- 7:37Speaker 3: is a certain man left a prisoner by Felix, about
- 7:45Speaker 3: whom the chief priest and the elders of the Jews
- 7:49Speaker 3: informed me when I was in Jerusalem asking for a
- 7:55Speaker 3: judgment against him. Amen. So he's sharing the situation. You
- 8:04Speaker 3: can almost call this the accountability partner segment. Right, He's
- 8:10Speaker 3: going to somebody, he's looking for advice. He's going to
- 8:15Speaker 3: somebody who has more knowledge and more understand than more
- 8:20Speaker 3: understanding than he does about the Jewish laws. So Augustus
- 8:29Speaker 3: was well suited to understand this case and to hear it.
- 8:34Speaker 3: God is bringing the right audience. Agrippa understands the law
- 8:42Speaker 3: of the Jews, which means Paul is about to speak
- 8:45Speaker 3: to someone who can actually get it. He can actually
- 8:49Speaker 3: understand the entire situation. Now verse where were at verse fourteen?
- 9:09Speaker 3: I think we already read that. Let me see, and
- 9:13Speaker 3: when they had been there many days Fessus laid Paul's
- 9:16Speaker 3: case before the king. Now, Fessus, he admits he is
- 9:21Speaker 3: confused about the case. It's been on his heart. Like
- 9:24Speaker 3: I said a few minutes ago. When truth becomes spiritual,
- 9:32Speaker 3: natural minds struggle to understand it. The Bible tells us
- 9:37Speaker 3: that the carnal mind cannot understand the things of the spirit.
- 9:45Speaker 3: The situation is spiritual, So this is why he is
- 9:51Speaker 3: struggling versus teen to them, I answered, it is not
- 10:00Speaker 3: the custom of the Romans to deliver any man to
- 10:04Speaker 3: destruction before the accused meets the accusers face to face
- 10:11Speaker 3: and has an opportunity to answer for himself concerning the
- 10:16Speaker 3: charges against him. Amen, that's pretty good. Now, Fessus acknowledges
- 10:26Speaker 3: Roman law requires proper due process, not emotional judgment. Now
- 10:34Speaker 3: they had that in place back then. This is supposed
- 10:37Speaker 3: to be how our justice system is ran in the
- 10:41Speaker 3: United States today. Now this is important. Even worldly systems
- 10:47Speaker 3: recognize the need for fairness. But the religious leaders, they
- 10:55Speaker 3: wanted execution without any evidence at all. They didn't want
- 11:03Speaker 3: to go through due processes. Even the trial of Jesus
- 11:09Speaker 3: Christ our Lord was illegal. It was an illegal trial.
- 11:14Speaker 3: They had Jesus appear before them at night, in the
- 11:20Speaker 3: middle of the night, like they were sneaking. That was
- 11:23Speaker 3: against Jewish law as well, And so fessus. He expected
- 11:33Speaker 3: a serious crime. He expected murder or something like that.
- 11:37Speaker 3: But there was no crime that was worthy of taking
- 11:44Speaker 3: his life, and he knew this. And also the accusations
- 11:50Speaker 3: did not match the reality of the situation. They made
- 11:55Speaker 3: everything sound serious, but it wasn't criminal. It was all doctrinal,
- 12:04Speaker 3: like I said, it was all spiritual, and it was
- 12:09Speaker 3: out of his hands. He really could not handle it
- 12:14Speaker 3: at that level, all right. Therefore, when they had come together,
- 12:24Speaker 3: where did we leave off here to then my answered,
- 12:31Speaker 3: it is not custom okay against them. Therefore, when they
- 12:35Speaker 3: had come together without any delay the next day, I
- 12:41Speaker 3: sat on the judgment seat and commanded the man to
- 12:45Speaker 3: be brought in. When the accusers stood up. The accusers
- 12:51Speaker 3: stood up. They brought no accusation against him of such
- 12:56Speaker 3: things as I supposed. They supposed that he was going
- 13:01Speaker 3: to be a murderer or something like that, but had
- 13:05Speaker 3: some questions against him about their own religion and about
- 13:10Speaker 3: a certain Jesus who had died. When Paul affirms to
- 13:16Speaker 3: be alive now that's the gospel right there. So he
- 13:20Speaker 3: heard it. He heard the gospel Verse twenty and because
- 13:26Speaker 3: I was uncertain of such questions, I asked whether he
- 13:31Speaker 3: was willing to go to Jerusalem. And they're be judged
- 13:35Speaker 3: concerning these matters. But when Paul appealed, But when Paul
- 13:44Speaker 3: appealed to be reserved for the decision of Augustus, I
- 13:51Speaker 3: commanded him to be kept till I could send him
- 13:55Speaker 3: to Caesar. Man. All right, now this is getting deep.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Let's stop there, and let's break it down even further
- 14:08Speaker 3: now verse twenty five and says, but had some questions
- 14:22Speaker 3: against him about their own religion and about a certain
- 14:27Speaker 3: Jesus who had died, whom Paul confirmed is a live. Now,
- 14:37Speaker 3: this is the core issue that kept getting Paul in trouble.
- 14:41Speaker 3: The resurrection, the resurrection of Christ. Everything comes back to
- 14:49Speaker 3: whether Jesus is alive. That's where it always comes back to.
- 14:56Speaker 3: That's why Paul got into big trouble with the Jews,
- 15:01Speaker 3: and that's why even Christians today get in trouble with
- 15:05Speaker 3: worldly systems. We believe and we preach that Jesus is alive,
- 15:11Speaker 3: he has risen. There it is a certain Jew who
- 15:17Speaker 3: had died. When Paul said, is alive. That is the
- 15:22Speaker 3: whole gospel. It's not political, it's not about religion, It's
- 15:29Speaker 3: about the resurrection. Everything hinges on the truth. Verse twenty.
- 15:37Speaker 3: And because I was uncertain of such questions, I asked
- 15:42Speaker 3: whether he was willing to go to Jerusalem. Now fessus.
- 15:49Speaker 3: He tried to shift the responsibility here. Really, like I said,
- 15:53Speaker 3: he was becoming. He became like a hot potato. Nobody
- 15:57Speaker 3: really wanted to deal with them, and they kept just
- 15:59Speaker 3: throwing them around. He did not want to deal with it. Now,
- 16:04Speaker 3: when people don't understand truth, they try to pass it off.
- 16:09Speaker 3: But truth will always demand a response. Amen, Truth always
- 16:20Speaker 3: demand a response when we're preaching, when we're teaching it,
- 16:25Speaker 3: when we are witnessing. The goal is to get people
- 16:29Speaker 3: to respond to the truth. Now, Paul's appeal what I said.
- 16:41Speaker 3: But when Paul appealed to be reserved for the decision
- 16:46Speaker 3: of Augustus, Now Paul's appeal focused, and it actually forced
- 16:57Speaker 3: the case to go to Caesar. He appealed to Caesar.
- 17:02Speaker 3: Paul was not gonna play these political games. Paul was
- 17:07Speaker 3: not gonna allow the enemy to manipulate the situation and
- 17:14Speaker 3: he was in alignment with the plan of God. God
- 17:17Speaker 3: wanted him and told him he was gonna go to wrong.
- 17:24Speaker 3: This is alignment. God's will is moving even through legal systems.
- 17:36Speaker 3: Paul didn't just escape, He advanced to the next level.
- 17:45Speaker 3: When God is for you, who could be against you?
- 17:52Speaker 3: Hallelujah Verse twenty two. Then Agrippa said to Fesis, I
- 17:57Speaker 3: also would like to hear this man. So Festus is
- 18:03Speaker 3: sharing everything, sharing his heart, and Agrippa wants to hear tomorrow,
- 18:14Speaker 3: I said, you shall hear him. So the next day,
- 18:19Speaker 3: when Agrippa and Bernice said, come with great pomp, I
- 18:24Speaker 3: when I look at that great pomp and circumstance, right,
- 18:28Speaker 3: this is a king and he is definitely playing the role.
- 18:33Speaker 3: He had entered the auditorium with the commanders and the
- 18:38Speaker 3: prominent men of the city. At Festu's command, Paul was
- 18:45Speaker 3: brought in and Festus said, King Agrippa, and all the
- 18:51Speaker 3: men who are here present with us, you see this
- 18:56Speaker 3: man about whom the whole assembly of the Jews petition
- 19:01Speaker 3: me both at Jerusalem and here, crying out that he
- 19:07Speaker 3: should not he was not fit to live any longer.
- 19:12Speaker 3: But when I found that he had committed nothing deserving
- 19:15Speaker 3: of death, and that he himself had appealed to Augustus.
- 19:23Speaker 3: I decided to send him. I have nothing certain to
- 19:27Speaker 3: write to my lord concerning him. Therefore I have brought
- 19:33Speaker 3: him out before you, and especially before you King Agrippa,
- 19:43Speaker 3: so that after the examination has taken place, I may
- 19:47Speaker 3: have something to write for It seems to me unreasonable
- 19:52Speaker 3: to send a prisoner and not to specify the charges
- 19:58Speaker 3: against him. All right, this is getting good. Be love it.
- 20:06Speaker 3: You can see the whole heart of this man. You
- 20:08Speaker 3: can see the entire dilemma of this situation. So I
- 20:18Speaker 3: was breaking down, and the Grippa said, I will like
- 20:21Speaker 3: to hear this man myself just now. Curiosity will open
- 20:29Speaker 3: up doors to testimony. This made a grip curious and
- 20:36Speaker 3: he wanted to hear. He wanted to understand for himself
- 20:41Speaker 3: what the situation was. Now, this was another opportunity for
- 20:45Speaker 3: Paul to preach. God will use curiosity to open doors. Now.
- 20:54Speaker 3: It said that he came in with pomp and prominent
- 20:57Speaker 3: men and leaders from the city were present. So Paul
- 21:02Speaker 3: is about to preach in front of an elite crowd,
- 21:07Speaker 3: people who can make decisions, people who can shift and
- 21:11Speaker 3: change things in the community. So this was a great
- 21:17Speaker 3: setup right here. Twenty three. So the next day Agrippa
- 21:22Speaker 3: Bernice had come with great pomp. Now this is the
- 21:29Speaker 3: display of worldly power. Right there was a big entrance,
- 21:35Speaker 3: royal robes, power status. But with this the real authority
- 21:41Speaker 3: was in chains. Paul had truth. Paul they had were titles.
- 21:51Speaker 3: Let me say they get Let me say this again.
- 21:53Speaker 3: Paul had the truth, but all they had were titles.
- 22:00Speaker 3: It's not about titles, It's about are you living the truth? Amen?
- 22:07Speaker 3: Twenty four and twenty five, King Agrippa and all the
- 22:11Speaker 3: men who are here present with us. Now Festi's mint
- 22:16Speaker 3: that Paul had done nothing worthy of death. Even the
- 22:23Speaker 3: judge said here he is not guilty, but he's still bound.
- 22:32Speaker 3: Sometimes truth can be clear, but systems still delayed justice.
- 22:43Speaker 3: Twenty sixty twenty seven. I have nothing certain to write
- 22:47Speaker 3: to my Lord concerning him. Now, Fessus was stuck. He
- 22:52Speaker 3: had no real charges to send him to Caesar, and
- 22:57Speaker 3: Festus didn't want to look crazy. Right, this could have
- 23:02Speaker 3: backfired on Festus. They probably, you know, would have gave
- 23:06Speaker 3: the his office to somebody else. I mean, Felix just
- 23:11Speaker 3: got replaced, right, and you don't want to go into
- 23:14Speaker 3: a new job and look incompetent. Now, remember Festus is
- 23:20Speaker 3: new to this area, so this is pretty ironic. You know,
- 23:26Speaker 3: they're sending me to trial with no charges. Why, you
- 23:34Speaker 3: know what I'm saying, like Paul is like what. They're
- 23:37Speaker 3: sending a man to trial without charges because truth exposed
- 23:46Speaker 3: every thing, and now they didn't know what to do
- 23:52Speaker 3: with it. Hey, man, they didn't know what to do
- 23:58Speaker 3: with truth. They didn't know what to do with Paul.
- 24:03Speaker 3: They didn't know what to do with the situation. They're
- 24:05Speaker 3: getting convicted left and right and beloved. Whenever we encounter
- 24:14Speaker 3: the truth and we refuse to respond to it, what
- 24:25Speaker 3: happens when you're in a room and the light goes out,
- 24:31Speaker 3: the dark seems even more darker. Every time we hear
- 24:35Speaker 3: truth and we don't apply it, we don't respond, we
- 24:38Speaker 3: are hardening our hearts and we are deceiving ourselves. These
- 24:44Speaker 3: men were around the Gospel, they were around Paul, the apostle.
- 24:49Speaker 3: They heard, they have been exposed to it. Even Felix
- 24:57Speaker 3: was trembling and tried to delay the situation. Truth will
- 25:05Speaker 3: always demand a response. All right, y'all, let's go too
- 25:11Speaker 3: quick break.
- 25:13Speaker 4: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 25:17Speaker 4: is the hisis Hop radio show.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Motivate.
- 25:46Speaker 5: That's the only way I'm gonna reach God face side.
- 25:49Speaker 5: The only thing that I seek. A lot of grace,
- 25:52Speaker 5: that's what I need. Need that 'll repeat Bible pages,
- 25:55Speaker 5: That's what I eat. That's why I'm elite. A vision
- 25:57Speaker 5: is only a dream, and I ain't gonna do what
- 25:59Speaker 5: it takes to claim. I'm don't believe. It's only another
- 26:02Speaker 5: reason I'm a chase. I'm gonna chill. Remember, Big Steve,
- 26:04Speaker 5: I was spending sixteens in a basement. Whether or not
- 26:07Speaker 5: they picked me, they would still leave an amazement. I
- 26:09Speaker 5: had the confidence of a vision and dream, but I
- 26:11Speaker 5: ain't have no direction, no doubt. All I knew is
- 26:13Speaker 5: I was living for me and that was the only selection,
- 26:15Speaker 5: the only ceremony. And people would hang with me. Had
- 26:17Speaker 5: too many imperfectity. Never could see that the problem was me.
- 26:20Speaker 5: I only would throw the rejection for the depression. Feel
- 26:22Speaker 5: this silence like an injection. It was inside made the protection.
- 26:25Speaker 5: I never got it, not in my sex. I couldn't
- 26:27Speaker 5: find even what every set back I had encountered. I
- 26:29Speaker 5: couldn't throw it away, throw it or nothing was going away?
- 26:32Speaker 1: And what's going on? I had found a way, and
- 26:34Speaker 1: now I'm motivate.
- 26:35Speaker 5: I'm motive. That's the only way I'm gonna beait. I
- 26:37Speaker 5: reach God face. Think he the only thing that I seek.
- 26:40Speaker 5: A lot of grace, that's what I need. Need that
- 26:42Speaker 5: or repeat Bible pages, That's what I eat.
- 26:45Speaker 1: That's why I'm elite. All that potential that's inside me.
- 26:48Speaker 1: I could be more. I could be more. I feel
- 26:50Speaker 1: God inside my heart. He trying to see me, trying
- 26:52Speaker 1: to see That's why to come back.
- 26:54Speaker 5: You feel like it took a day adep but I
- 26:56Speaker 5: still come back every time.
- 26:57Speaker 1: That's why I'm reborn. That's grace on me.
- 27:00Speaker 5: I ain't never came out of pocket because he's paid
- 27:02Speaker 5: it for He paid it. I can't never say that
- 27:04Speaker 5: he ain't got me because he waited on he played it,
- 27:06Speaker 5: had so many people trying to stop me. Think they
- 27:08Speaker 5: hated it on they or was it satan normally? Feel
- 27:10Speaker 5: like he was testing me, was testing back then.
- 27:12Speaker 1: I ain't even really see it. Now he blessing me.
- 27:15Speaker 5: He blessing me, and I ain't even sneezing a lot
- 27:17Speaker 5: even when I ain't read a lot. He still had
- 27:19Speaker 5: made them plays even when I wasn't saved.
- 27:21Speaker 1: I was saved.
- 27:22Speaker 5: That's the reason that I motivated. I motivated. The only
- 27:25Speaker 5: way I'm gonna read I reach God face side. But
- 27:28Speaker 5: he the only thing that I see. A lot of grace. Now,
- 27:30Speaker 5: that's what I need. Need that or repeat Bible pages.
- 27:33Speaker 5: That's what I eat. That's why I'm elite.
- 27:37Speaker 4: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This

- 28:36Speaker 3: love to give you a shout out. Also here on
- 28:39Speaker 3: the podcast, it's time for the accountability Partner segments. We
- 28:47Speaker 3: all need somebody in our lives that can hold us accountable.
- 28:50Speaker 3: Somebody who can pray with us, pray for us, someone
- 28:54Speaker 3: that we could go to share our situations or circumstances,
- 28:59Speaker 3: share our prayers with. And we saw this with the Apostle,
- 29:08Speaker 3: with the situation with Festus talking to Agrippa. That's kind
- 29:14Speaker 3: of like the accountability. He's looking for advice. He was confused.
- 29:19Speaker 3: This was a situation that was too hard for him
- 29:21Speaker 3: to handle. And it reminds us of our Lord and Savior.
- 29:26Speaker 3: They couldnot handle his situation either. A carnal mind cannot
- 29:32Speaker 3: comprehend the themes of the spirit. Remember that. And so
- 29:38Speaker 3: we asked you to give with your accountability partner, and
- 29:42Speaker 3: we give you challenges and topics that you could use
- 29:47Speaker 3: to talk to them about, to work through, to work
- 29:50Speaker 3: out in your heart. Of course, take it before the Lord.
- 29:55Speaker 3: Now ask your partner, am I ready to share the
- 29:58Speaker 3: truth when God gets need a platform? Ask once again,
- 30:06Speaker 3: am I ready to share the truth? Remember a lot
- 30:13Speaker 3: of people can't handle the truth. Truth must be must
- 30:17Speaker 3: be responded to. Are you ready to share the truth
- 30:21Speaker 3: when God gives you that platform? Don't waste your moment
- 30:26Speaker 3: When God opens doors, speak the truth boldly, Amen, speak
- 30:33Speaker 3: it blowly belove it, don't even hold that right. We
- 30:39Speaker 3: need to ask God for that boldness. Also, I want

- 31:39Speaker 3: gets us on the replay and he actually got it.
- 31:42Speaker 3: He knew yesterday's trivia, but he was waiting to see
- 31:49Speaker 3: if anyone else would answer it before he did. And
- 31:55Speaker 3: of course he got it right. He is still the
- 31:59Speaker 3: king of the right, He's still the trivia champion. So
- 32:04Speaker 3: let's see who's got it today. Now. The question is
- 32:08Speaker 3: what was the main issue in Paul's case? What was
- 32:12Speaker 3: the main issue? Was it political? Was it money? Was
- 32:19Speaker 3: it the resurrection of Jesus or was it Roman law?
