There are two types of fear: tormenting demonic fear and reverential godly fear. The fear of the Lord isn’t about cowering in terror, but standing in awe of God’s holiness, power, and consuming fire of purity. Reverential fear leads us to worship God, depart from evil, and develop a holy hatred for what destroys lives and souls.
