- 0:00Speaker 1: Trending. Now here's what you need to know.
- 0:04Speaker 2: In case you missed it.
- 0:04Speaker 3: Last night, President Biden gave a rare oval office address
- 0:07Speaker 3: to the nation. It was just over about eleven minutes,
- 0:10Speaker 3: and it was basically talking about his decision to withdraw
- 0:13Speaker 3: from the presidential race.
- 0:14Speaker 4: I reviewed this office. I love my country more. It's
- 0:18Speaker 4: been the honor of my life to serve as your president.
- 0:21Speaker 4: But in the defensive democracy, which is a stake I
- 0:24Speaker 4: think is more important than any title. So I've decided
- 0:27Speaker 4: the best way forward is the past, the torch for
- 0:29Speaker 4: a new generation. It's the best way to nine our nation.
- 0:32Speaker 4: You know, there is a time and a place for
- 0:35Speaker 4: long years of experience in public life. There's also a
- 0:38Speaker 4: time and a place for new voices.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Well, Pike, I know that people now saw him, of course,
- 0:43Speaker 3: but there's a new conspiracy because I know, I know.
- 0:46Speaker 2: You're loving this.
- 0:46Speaker 5: I know we thought. My best conspiracy friends seem to
- 0:50Speaker 5: think that he you know, we hadn't seen him in
- 0:51Speaker 5: a few days, so that means he was obviously dead
- 0:54Speaker 5: or I don't know.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Well, people have now eagle eye fans of President Biden
- 0:59Speaker 3: or not. I have looked at his watch and the timeframe,
- 1:02Speaker 3: saying it wasn't live that in fact the timeframe from
- 1:06Speaker 3: his watch too.
- 1:07Speaker 5: Sure would that shock you if it was filmed earlier?
- 1:10Speaker 5: What is live? What you're listening to now? On this show?
- 1:13Speaker 5: We recorded a week ago. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding.
- 1:16Speaker 5: It is. It is eighth four am on Thursday, July
- 1:19Speaker 5: twenty fifth.
- 1:20Speaker 3: And by the way, if you miss yesterday, a FBI director,
- 1:22Speaker 3: Christopher Ray, testified before Congress on the attempted assassination of
- 1:25Speaker 3: former President Trump. During the hearing yesterday, he told lawmakers
- 1:28Speaker 3: the agency has yet to determine the gunman's motive. They're
- 1:31Speaker 3: obviously still looking into it. He is frustrated that there
- 1:34Speaker 3: was no manifesto left behind. He revealed, however, the gunman
- 1:36Speaker 3: flew a drone about two hundred yards from the staging
- 1:39Speaker 3: area where Trump spoke hours before the rally, and was
- 1:42Speaker 3: likely live streaming and viewing the footage. Two explosive devices
- 1:45Speaker 3: were retrieved from the shooter's vehicle, and a third was
- 1:47Speaker 3: found at his home.
- 1:49Speaker 5: You know, I'm a drone guy. Till yeah, I got
- 1:51Speaker 5: a drone.
- 1:52Speaker 2: I don't think i'd be able to.
- 1:53Speaker 3: I have a hard time with my kids race cars
- 1:55Speaker 3: and that remote let alone, a drone that's not.
- 1:57Speaker 5: Going to be a good left is right right up
- 2:00Speaker 5: and down. I mean I did Actually the day I
- 2:02Speaker 5: got my drone, I flew it into a building and
- 2:04Speaker 5: it broke. I'm not kidding, And you're not supposed to
- 2:06Speaker 5: be flying them around buildings.
- 2:07Speaker 3: I had a friend who tried to do it over
- 2:09Speaker 3: the lake and yeah, it's somewhere in Middle Leaf Lake
- 2:12Speaker 3: right now.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Oh no, yes, oh all right.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Coco Goff will be the first US tennis player to
- 2:17Speaker 3: ever carry the flag tomorrow for the opening ceremony for
- 2:20Speaker 3: the Olympics. This comes three years after she was forced
- 2:23Speaker 3: to miss the Tokyo Olympics because she tested positive for COVID.
- 2:25Speaker 3: She says she couldn't be more proud to carry that
- 2:27Speaker 3: flag alongside Lebron, Drames James. They're gonna be coming in
- 2:31Speaker 3: on riverboats though. Don't forget tomorrow night for the opening
- 2:34Speaker 3: ceremony on boats. They're going to be on boats.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Going down.
- 2:39Speaker 3: The scene river was how you scene sign? I think
- 2:43Speaker 3: it's sign sign. It is sign it is sign river.
- 2:46Speaker 5: You're probably gonna hear that a lot. So it's good
- 2:47Speaker 5: for us, all of us to get familiar with the pronunciation,
- 2:50Speaker 5: or it happens.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Oh gosh, by the way, if you miss it yesterday,
- 2:54Speaker 3: the Olympic Games for the Winter Olympics are going to
- 2:57Speaker 3: be in Salt Lake City in twenty thirty.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Four, so that'll be cool.
- 2:59Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, absolutely, winter Games twenty three.
- 3:03Speaker 2: I prefer summer games over the Winter Games.
- 3:05Speaker 5: Absolutely. I think most do. What's worse to look forward
- 3:09Speaker 5: to the winter or the year twenty thirty four, because
- 3:12Speaker 5: I'm not looking.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Forward to you know how old they'll be. I don't
- 3:15Speaker 2: want to think.
- 3:15Speaker 5: I don't want to do the math.
- 3:17Speaker 3: All right, Today is going to be sunny, still a
- 3:18Speaker 3: little bit of smoke in the air, otherwise windy, high
- 3:21Speaker 3: of eighty.
- 3:21Speaker 6: Seven, like a mind in the morning, big ninety eight
- 3:23Speaker 6: point seven.
- 3:24Speaker 5: Now here's some ideas for your relationship. I know you
- 3:26Speaker 5: listen to the show because of our sort of intimate
- 3:29Speaker 5: advice we give you.
- 3:30Speaker 2: You know, people are getting this advice from us.
- 3:33Speaker 5: Yeah. It was basically in the wake of doctor Ruth's passing.
- 3:36Speaker 5: We've been past the torch. Now. These intimate ideas, man,
- 3:40Speaker 5: aren't anything to do with you know, you know right,
- 3:45Speaker 5: These are just intimate ideas for you to try to
- 3:48Speaker 5: spice up your relationship.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Because sometimes I was actually just reading an article I
- 3:52Speaker 3: dove into the other day it showed up on my
- 3:53Speaker 3: Instagram feed about how like one of the best, and
- 3:56Speaker 3: I hope I'm not spoiling this at all, but it
- 3:58Speaker 3: was about just hugging your spouse for a certain amount
- 4:03Speaker 3: of seconds. I want to say it was like eight
- 4:04Speaker 3: to ten seconds, which doesn't seem very long, but what
- 4:07Speaker 3: that does to your body.
- 4:08Speaker 5: It was a nice warm embrace.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:10Speaker 5: Yeah, so here we'll start with a poking fun at
- 4:12Speaker 5: each other in a good way.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 4:15Speaker 5: Now it gets tricky because sometimes you know, you'll try
- 4:18Speaker 5: this and it's just the wrong time to be poking
- 4:20Speaker 5: fun in a good way, and I take it the
- 4:22Speaker 5: wrong way once a month or something. Yeah, you know,
- 4:24Speaker 5: it just really depends on the timing.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Yep.
- 4:27Speaker 5: You gotta be careful, you got but you gotta. If
- 4:29Speaker 5: you do it often, then they just know then you
- 4:31Speaker 5: can pretty much say anything and they just know you're kidding.
- 4:33Speaker 3: See. I actually really enjoy that that playful. To me,
- 4:36Speaker 3: that is like the best flirting kind of situation.
- 4:39Speaker 5: Yeah, it feels like flirting. Yeah, you know, if because
- 4:42Speaker 5: remember they told you when people are being mean to you.
- 4:44Speaker 5: It's because they like you.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Yeah, but I will tell you it does fall flat sometimes,
- 4:48Speaker 3: Like if I'm in the zone doing something and my
- 4:50Speaker 3: husband does it, it hurts us feelings sometimes when I'm
- 4:53Speaker 3: going like, he's like really like that didn't hit Like, nope, sorry,
- 4:59Speaker 3: how about this into idea for your partner doing something
- 5:02Speaker 3: goofy in front of each other. You could be goofy sometimes. Yeah,
- 5:05Speaker 3: any like a silly dance move.
- 5:07Speaker 5: Or my wife does this thing, Lauren where she has
- 5:10Speaker 5: like a big a stanley, you know, it's like one
- 5:12Speaker 5: of the big ones with the big the handle yep.
- 5:14Speaker 5: And like at night before bed, she'll she'll take the
- 5:18Speaker 5: stanley and use it like it's like a lantern, and
- 5:20Speaker 5: she'll look like she's like going going through a cave
- 5:23Speaker 5: with this stanley. That's funny. And she does this like
- 5:26Speaker 5: kind of high step neat thing. It's really silly. If
- 5:29Speaker 5: you met her, it probably would feel ridiculous. Yeah, it's
- 5:32Speaker 5: shocking to me that she acts this way. I love it.
- 5:34Speaker 5: I love when she gets the old lantern out.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Oh that is so good. See, we have dance parties
- 5:39Speaker 2: at our house.
- 5:39Speaker 3: And I hate to like talk about intimacy because usually
- 5:42Speaker 3: our kids are involved, like dancing.
- 5:43Speaker 5: But this is so okay, Yeah, I know, being being
- 5:47Speaker 5: silly's fun. How about this, uh, being their human pillow.
- 5:51Speaker 5: It's a good idea where you can pay on each
- 5:54Speaker 5: other and maybe she uses your belly as a pillow.
- 5:58Speaker 5: You ever do that?
- 6:00Speaker 2: I don't think so, not like on purpose?
- 6:03Speaker 5: Do it on purpose?
- 6:04Speaker 2: I like to come under if the kids aren't in
- 6:06Speaker 2: the bed. It's like I like.
- 6:09Speaker 5: Snuggling taking a bubble bath together. Now this is teetering
- 6:13Speaker 5: on just straight up. You know your classic intimacy.
- 6:17Speaker 3: If you bring rubber ducky along, I think you'll be fine.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Then it really takes the intimacy completely out of it.
- 6:24Speaker 3: If you're like playing toys in the bathtub.
- 6:26Speaker 5: Well it depends on what kind of tubb you have
- 6:27Speaker 5: to If you just have like your classic shower tub,
- 6:30Speaker 5: yeah no, don't, then you're like sitting side by side
- 6:32Speaker 5: like your your siblings as children taking a bath together.
- 6:36Speaker 3: Once you do it, I don't know, I guess kind
- 6:38Speaker 3: of long way. Yeah, you'd have to spider in a little.
- 6:42Speaker 2: Okay.
- 6:43Speaker 5: How about writing a song for your partner? Have you
- 6:45Speaker 5: ever considered doing that? That's a lovely idea for some
- 6:47Speaker 5: intimate I think we did.
- 6:49Speaker 3: That one time on this show and it didn't it
- 6:51Speaker 3: didn't go. Well, I'm not a good singer.
- 6:52Speaker 5: He wrote a song for your partner, Yeah, like.
- 6:54Speaker 3: A Valentine's Day goof. Maybe this was in your down
- 6:58Speaker 3: time when you weren't a part of the Yeah.
- 7:00Speaker 5: You don't have to be a good singer. It's you know,
- 7:01Speaker 5: it's from the heart. Most of the low standard songs,
- 7:03Speaker 5: by the.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Way, oh gosh, you just can't let it go. Okah,
- 7:06Speaker 3: we're talking about writing songs. I'm trying to share some
- 7:09Speaker 3: personal experience love songs. They're mostly all love songs. I
- 7:12Speaker 3: only wrote the lyrics to one, and it's a really
- 7:15Speaker 3: some heinous stuff if you know, you know, but okay
- 7:17Speaker 3: not Yeah, anyway, how about making prolonged eye contact. This
- 7:22Speaker 3: is a very intimate thing you can do with your partner.
- 7:23Speaker 2: That'll usually end up in just giggles.
- 7:26Speaker 5: It's stupid, it's stupid. Why would even why would somebody
- 7:29Speaker 5: even put that on this list.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Well, we were talking the other day about something. When
- 7:32Speaker 3: you're kissing your significant other, you're supposed to look at
- 7:34Speaker 3: them every time you bust somebody looking at you when
- 7:36Speaker 3: you're kissing.
- 7:37Speaker 2: I think it just like ruins, the moment.
- 7:39Speaker 5: I don't like looking at people in general, and don't
- 7:41Speaker 5: look at me either, awkward and then finally locking arms
- 7:47Speaker 5: the first time, this person said, the first Yeah, I
- 7:50Speaker 5: mean listen, you know the moment when you're dating, like
- 7:53Speaker 5: this person said, you know, they were in a honded
- 7:55Speaker 5: house and like the first time the girl reaches over
- 7:58Speaker 5: and grabs the frocks, you're.
- 7:59Speaker 2: On real touch too.
- 8:01Speaker 5: Yeah, I'll never forget it.
- 8:04Speaker 3: Just when you you know, when you do, your fingers
- 8:06Speaker 3: get a little clammed up, like, oh my gosh, are
- 8:08Speaker 3: we going to hold hands? It does send this just
- 8:10Speaker 3: shock of feeling through your whole body. Butterflies, Is that
- 8:14Speaker 3: what it is? Oh my gosh, get rosy cheeks thinking
- 8:17Speaker 3: about you got to get back to the butterflies in
- 8:19Speaker 3: your marriage or relationship.
- 8:21Speaker 5: Yeah, so you get working on that song. Okay, let
- 8:23Speaker 5: us know how it goes. I don't know about that.
- 8:25Speaker 1: I get a Manda in the morning.
- 8:28Speaker 5: Seven tomorrow night, it's here. If you've been waiting for
- 8:30Speaker 5: the Summer Olympics, well, good news. The opening ceremony is tomorrow. Now.
- 8:34Speaker 5: For us, that just means exciting times. Of being able
- 8:37Speaker 5: to at any point turn on a TV and there'll
- 8:39Speaker 5: be a sport that you're not really familiar with at all,
- 8:42Speaker 5: and you'll get to watch and it's kind of fun.
- 8:44Speaker 3: I'm the exact opposite. This is actually what I do enjoy.
- 8:47Speaker 3: It's just a matter of trying to watch it and
- 8:49Speaker 3: catch it. Like I love watching the gymnastics.
- 8:51Speaker 5: What about say this one. I enjoy gymnastics. Yeah, but
- 8:55Speaker 5: I'm just saying it's not always gymnastics. If you turn
- 8:58Speaker 5: it on in the middle of the day, it might
- 8:59Speaker 5: be archery or some random relay.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Have you ever gotten into like the synchronized swimming And
- 9:07Speaker 3: I can't get into that, Like some of those things
- 9:08Speaker 3: you just like start watching like it's truly incredible because
- 9:12Speaker 3: you don't give them enough credit until you just I
- 9:14Speaker 3: mean remember being little and just trying to do like.
- 9:16Speaker 2: A handstand in a pool.
- 9:17Speaker 3: Oh, then I can't like spin around and you'd think
- 9:20Speaker 3: that you were doing it like fantastic. Now to synchronize
- 9:22Speaker 3: that with one hundred other people or whatever it but.
- 9:24Speaker 5: Not to mention they're treading water, which is the true miracle.
- 9:28Speaker 5: So for us, it's that for the athletes, apparently it's
- 9:32Speaker 5: not just you know, doing their sport thing, but also
- 9:35Speaker 5: getting it on. Did you see this the sheer amount
- 9:38Speaker 5: of protection they've provided these athletes at the Olympic.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Village because they thought this was a joke.
- 9:43Speaker 3: I saw this yesterday where they were I mean dishing
- 9:46Speaker 3: out a ton right.
- 9:48Speaker 5: Yeah, so they're there now.
- 9:49Speaker 3: And of course with social media, all these athletes young
- 9:51Speaker 3: people are doing little behind the scenes tours of the
- 9:54Speaker 3: Olympic Village and this year they have been provided with
- 9:58Speaker 3: two hundred thousand and condoms and not just you know,
- 10:03Speaker 3: boring plane trojan package. They've all got cute little packaging
- 10:08Speaker 3: with phrases on them.
- 10:09Speaker 5: You want to hear what.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Are they like Olympic related or of course?
- 10:14Speaker 5: Yeah, so like for example, this one says, and it's
- 10:17Speaker 5: like a it looks like a little Valentine you would
- 10:19Speaker 5: exchange back in elementary school on the field of love,
- 10:23Speaker 5: play fair, ask for consent. Oh my gosh, just a
- 10:27Speaker 5: nice message. Of course, this one says, don't share more
- 10:31Speaker 5: than victory, protect yourself against STDs. Yeah absolutely, yes, how
- 10:37Speaker 5: about a score a win? Yes to consent, no to STDs.
- 10:44Speaker 3: I appreciate all the consent stuff, but it's also like
- 10:46Speaker 3: a huge red flight for me. Is there a lot
- 10:48Speaker 3: of non consensual things.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Going on around?
- 10:50Speaker 3: It?
- 10:50Speaker 5: Really is the theme of them all, And I'm wondering
- 10:52Speaker 5: has there been an issue? You would hope not right,
- 10:55Speaker 5: I mean, of course, always a good reminder, of course.
- 10:57Speaker 5: And then my favorite, the last one. You're no need
- 10:59Speaker 5: to be a gold medalist to wear it. Oh that's nice.
- 11:04Speaker 2: You want to go for gold?
- 11:06Speaker 1: Oh?
- 11:06Speaker 5: Man, So there's one two hundred thousand male protection. Also
- 11:11Speaker 5: ten thousand, ten thousand oral dams. Oh, Mike, I don't
- 11:16Speaker 5: even know what that is.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Feel like I'm back in fifth grade health class.
- 11:20Speaker 3: Things that they tell you about, but like that is
- 11:23Speaker 3: one of them that I've never seen that never, No,
- 11:27Speaker 3: not even at the Walgreens wild Yeah, oh, you're killing.
- 11:30Speaker 5: And then finally they top it up with twenty thousand
- 11:33Speaker 5: female condoms, which I don't even also don't know what
- 11:35Speaker 5: that is. Didn't know that existed. If you do the math,
- 11:37Speaker 5: if you break it down to all of the athletes,
- 11:39Speaker 5: of which there are thousands, that still comes out to
- 11:42Speaker 5: roughly twenty per person. What do they think is going
- 11:46Speaker 5: on here? I mean, I get there, one one of humans,
- 11:49Speaker 5: like the rest of us. It's like a little summer
- 11:51Speaker 5: camp for.
- 11:51Speaker 3: That well, and it's there is some downtime, you know
- 11:53Speaker 3: for some of these people who are just you know,
- 11:55Speaker 3: you're doing your one event and that's it, and maybe
- 11:57Speaker 3: you're there for a couple of weeks.
- 11:58Speaker 5: But holy so twenty I mean, I guess you'd rather
- 12:02Speaker 5: have too many than not enough. Yeah, I hate to
- 12:05Speaker 5: get into a sort of reusing situation.
- 12:09Speaker 1: White and Amanda in the morning on stage, Tony.
- 12:13Speaker 5: It's becoming more and more normal for couples to sleep apart.
- 12:17Speaker 5: And this viral video shows a couple who lives in
- 12:20Speaker 5: New York City, And now I think that's part of it,
- 12:22Speaker 5: because the cost of living there is just obscene. But
- 12:24Speaker 5: a married couple sleeping in bunk beds because they live
- 12:28Speaker 5: in a studio apartment and that's probably all they can afford,
- 12:31Speaker 5: or well, they didn't want to sleep together, they don't
- 12:34Speaker 5: want to double up in a twin bed. Well, their
- 12:37Speaker 5: names are Casey and Taylor, and they live in an apartment.
- 12:40Speaker 5: They're thirty one, so they're you know, they're not young
- 12:42Speaker 5: kids by any means, right, and they sleep in queen
- 12:45Speaker 5: size bunk beds that they picked up on Amazon for
- 12:47Speaker 5: three hundred and fifty dollars. Now, two people can easily
- 12:50Speaker 5: sleep in a queen bed, of course, so it would
- 12:52Speaker 5: be an option. But the big reason for them is
- 12:54Speaker 5: the whole sleep divorce thing. That they're on different sleep schedules,
- 12:58Speaker 5: and Casey says that they just can't sleep when they're
- 13:01Speaker 5: in the same bed. She has long, lanky limbs.
- 13:04Speaker 3: She claims, Okay, I was gonna say, because a lot
- 13:06Speaker 3: of times I would say the majority of people are
- 13:08Speaker 3: sleep divorcing is because of snoring, and so the bunk
- 13:12Speaker 3: bed situation still isn't gonna help. You're gonna hear that
- 13:15Speaker 3: depending on your bed. I could see we have Ultimately
- 13:18Speaker 3: it's two twin beds. They're just pushed together like the
- 13:20Speaker 3: way our beds are set up. So if he's moving,
- 13:23Speaker 3: I don't feel it. If I'm moving, he doesn't feel
- 13:25Speaker 3: which I think is huge absolutely, I mean that's a
- 13:28Speaker 3: huge part of it.
- 13:29Speaker 5: Yeah. I mean we have a king too, and I
- 13:30Speaker 5: don't sleep well at all, and you know, honestly, my
- 13:32Speaker 5: wife being there like lover, but it's not helping, you know.
- 13:36Speaker 5: I'm not saying it's horrible. She doesn't snore, but there's
- 13:39Speaker 5: definitely movements in the night. That like keep me awake.
- 13:42Speaker 5: I don't know. The more I hear people doing this,
- 13:44Speaker 5: the more I'm I'm just interested.
- 13:46Speaker 3: Would you do a totally different bedroom? At what point
- 13:49Speaker 3: would you step out? I mean, that's kind of my thing.
- 13:52Speaker 3: I don't like you just go to bed at night.
- 13:54Speaker 3: It's like, Okay, you go to your room, you go
- 13:55Speaker 3: to yours, and that just feels so.
- 13:57Speaker 5: Weird, right, I mean honestly, And I'm not a big guy,
- 14:00Speaker 5: so I could probably get away with just a full
- 14:01Speaker 5: bed in the corner of the room. You know, that
- 14:04Speaker 5: would be fine with me. Get an air mattress. It's
- 14:07Speaker 5: I get anxiety one when she's moving or b if
- 14:10Speaker 5: I'm awake and I'm kind of moving or tossing and
- 14:13Speaker 5: turning at that, I get stressed out thinking that I'm
- 14:15Speaker 5: waking her up. So I don't think it's crazy now.
- 14:18Speaker 5: Bunk beds. Not a big fan of bunk beds, especially
- 14:20Speaker 5: if you end up on top bunk Oh see, that
- 14:22Speaker 5: would make me anxious. I don't think I could sleep
- 14:24Speaker 5: on the top of a bunk bed.
- 14:25Speaker 3: I remember growing up thinking it would be so cool
- 14:28Speaker 3: to have one do but bunk bed, yeah.
- 14:32Speaker 5: I mean we had one in this old camper we
- 14:34Speaker 5: had at the lake we went to growing up, and
- 14:36Speaker 5: there was no railing, and I just remember falling off
- 14:38Speaker 5: the bunk bed multiple times.
- 14:40Speaker 3: See that I would be paranoid, and they make them
- 14:43Speaker 3: a lot different. Now Briggs has a bunk bed in
- 14:45Speaker 3: his room and it was we were so excited. We're like,
- 14:47Speaker 3: oh yeah, the gets will probably both end up in there,
- 14:50Speaker 3: thinking this is so awesome.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Nobody has ever slept in that top bunk.
- 14:53Speaker 5: Well and it gets hot up there. It reminds me
- 14:55Speaker 5: of my msum dorm days on the loft eighth floor
- 14:59Speaker 5: of Nelson Haul, just dying of heat. I mean, yeah,
- 15:03Speaker 5: it's not as all it's cracked up to be. Although
- 15:05Speaker 5: when you're on the bottom bunk and you get to
- 15:06Speaker 5: make that cool fort by draping and blanket over it,
- 15:09Speaker 5: I mean that's nothing better.
- 15:10Speaker 3: See when I am reading Briggsy books at night and
- 15:13Speaker 3: I get up, it's like the boink, you know, because
- 15:16Speaker 3: it's the bottom bunk is well. Yeah, I mean there's
- 15:19Speaker 3: really there's a lot of cons that these bunk beds,
- 15:21Speaker 3: but I mean it's funny falling off that bunk bed
- 15:23Speaker 3: because think about on your bed. Have you ever just
- 15:26Speaker 3: fallen off. No, like, not in a million years would
- 15:29Speaker 3: I just fall off of my bed. But because it's up.
- 15:31Speaker 2: High, then the thing is really interesting.
- 15:34Speaker 5: It's one of the most traumatizing things, waking up not
- 15:36Speaker 5: knowing what the hell just happened.
- 15:40Speaker 6: Like a minute in the morning. A big Nuddy points to.
- 15:43Speaker 5: This really pains me to have to do this, but
- 15:45Speaker 5: I think we need to address the attempt at a
- 15:48Speaker 5: comeback that we're witnessing by one Katy Perry.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Okay, this kind of flew under the radar.
- 15:52Speaker 3: I just saw an article late last night something about
- 15:56Speaker 3: she basically is desperate to save this album because it's
- 16:00Speaker 3: so bad.
- 16:01Speaker 5: Well, she comes out with this new single, first one
- 16:03Speaker 5: from her album. The song is called Woman's World. Okay,
- 16:06Speaker 5: so immediately little Teas from Yeah we got a little teas.
- 16:09Speaker 5: She posted this video and her whole theme here of
- 16:11Speaker 5: the video content anyways, just like her showing herself off
- 16:15Speaker 5: her body, and obviously she looks great, incredibly attractive.
- 16:18Speaker 3: But it was really uncomfortable to watch because like, we
- 16:21Speaker 3: get what you're doing here, Like nobody's actually listening to
- 16:24Speaker 3: to what you're saying. It's so distracting that you're just
- 16:26Speaker 3: like shaking it.
- 16:27Speaker 5: So here's a little tidbit of the verse anyway, and
- 16:29Speaker 5: then we'll get into the rest.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Sexy con.
- 16:35Speaker 6: So integent, she is head set.
- 16:41Speaker 5: And I just don't know who's hearing that and going,
- 16:43Speaker 5: oh yeah, here we go. It just it sounds lame,
- 16:45Speaker 5: It sounds cheesy. So here, let's get ahead to the
- 16:47Speaker 5: chorus of Katie Perry's new single, Woman's World. Okay, now,
- 17:00Speaker 5: vocally or melodically anyway, it's somewhat catchy. It sounds like
- 17:03Speaker 5: a chorus of a pop song, but just you know,
- 17:05Speaker 5: lyrically Women's World, and it just seems like pandering at best,
- 17:08Speaker 5: like he's trying to go Now, here's a little rumor
- 17:11Speaker 5: that I don't know if it's true or not, but
- 17:13Speaker 5: apparently she offered Kamala Harris to use this for her campaign,
- 17:18Speaker 5: and the Harris campaign politely declined, Which is too good,
- 17:23Speaker 5: that's just rich, that's.
- 17:26Speaker 2: There's just so many layers to that.
- 17:28Speaker 5: But okay, then well then I see this article from
- 17:31Speaker 5: Rolling Stone, a notable publication in the music world. The
- 17:34Speaker 5: headline reads, did Katie Perry release the worst comeback song
- 17:39Speaker 5: of all time?
- 17:40Speaker 6: Woo?
- 17:41Speaker 5: Perry's Woman's World is a catastrophic flop her hilariously catastrophic
- 17:46Speaker 5: attempt at a comeback, thanks to its brain dead lyrics
- 17:50Speaker 5: such as sexy, confident, so intelligent AI like chorus and
- 17:55Speaker 5: Perry's startlingly tone deaf choice to record a quote feminist
- 17:59Speaker 5: song with doctor Luke. Who remember was that the whole
- 18:03Speaker 5: Kesha thing? So yeah, the irony of that it is
- 18:06Speaker 5: just terrible. It raises many difficult to answer questions. Perry
- 18:09Speaker 5: said his video was meant to be satirical, but is
- 18:12Speaker 5: the song itself somehow meant to be as well? And
- 18:14Speaker 5: if so, what exactly is the joke? Did Perry and
- 18:17Speaker 5: her producers and writers think the song was good? And
- 18:20Speaker 5: if so, why, holy smokes just getting absolutely roasted.
- 18:25Speaker 2: You hear I'm a woman? Hear me roar or the roar?
- 18:28Speaker 3: I mean that is a song, yeah, I mean that
- 18:30Speaker 3: is just a great song and very empowering.
- 18:33Speaker 5: So it's like almost like she just tried to reach
- 18:35Speaker 5: back and find anything that was successful in the past
- 18:37Speaker 5: and redo it. And I don't mean a pooh on
- 18:39Speaker 5: her too bad, because listen, I think her album Teenage
- 18:42Speaker 5: Dream was it is one of the most successful pop
- 18:44Speaker 5: albums ever. I think it was five number one singles,
- 18:47Speaker 5: including for My Money maybe the greatest pop song ever.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Right, it is no that whole album was great, but.
- 18:55Speaker 5: It makes you question how much of that And I
- 18:57Speaker 5: think the answer is probably a lot is just producers.
- 19:00Speaker 5: I mean the Doctor Luke's and the people who are
- 19:02Speaker 5: just pumping out hits and they just need a person,
- 19:05Speaker 5: like literally anybody to just be the face of it.
- 19:07Speaker 3: And I wouldn't think that I would be at this
- 19:09Speaker 3: point to compare this to like a Britney Spears, but
- 19:11Speaker 3: it kind of is, I mean, kind of make them
- 19:13Speaker 3: trying to make a comeback ish or whatever it may be.
- 19:16Speaker 2: But uh, and that's hard.
- 19:17Speaker 5: I mean there's exceptions like Taylor Swift who have sustained
- 19:19Speaker 5: it for so long. It's it's hard to have hits
- 19:22Speaker 5: and to do it for that long. So I mean,
- 19:24Speaker 5: we're just thankful for what she gave us. I just
- 19:26Speaker 5: feel like it's so and it's been over for a
- 19:28Speaker 5: long time.
- 19:29Speaker 3: Yeah, it's gonna get interesting because they're currently hiring for
- 19:32Speaker 3: her her day job, which was for American Iland.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Remember. I wonder if she's calling him back and like, hey,
- 19:38Speaker 2: hey guys, you know I miss you. I'll come back
- 19:41Speaker 2: you turn it out.
- 19:44Speaker 6: Like a man in the morning on Big Nutty eight
- 19:46Speaker 6: point seven.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Now, Amanda stills, Let's see.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Let's see, all right, Celine Dion is going to be
- 19:54Speaker 3: the opening ceremony.
- 19:55Speaker 5: Can I say something quick?
- 19:56Speaker 3: Of course?
- 19:56Speaker 5: Again? Can I interject? This is brought to you by
- 19:58Speaker 5: JDP Electric. Thank you, thank you, thank you to JDP.
- 20:03Speaker 3: All right, Celine Dion is going to be at the
- 20:05Speaker 3: opening ceremonies of the Olympics. We found out she was
- 20:07Speaker 3: getting paid like two million dollars. That's not the case.
- 20:10Speaker 3: Apparently she is doing it for free, but by doing
- 20:13Speaker 3: it for the exposure. What about Lady Gaga. She is
- 20:15Speaker 3: going to be hanging out there. We were told she's
- 20:17Speaker 3: been there for about a week hanging with her man. Well,
- 20:20Speaker 3: now rumor has it they're both going to be performing
- 20:23Speaker 3: a do What. It's Edith piaffs Lave and Rose. But
- 20:30Speaker 3: I think I said that right.
- 20:32Speaker 5: We do have a clip of it. It's one of
- 20:33Speaker 5: my favorite songs. Actually, it's absolutely beautiful and it couldn't
- 20:41Speaker 5: sound more French if that's what they're going for.
- 20:44Speaker 2: In all seriousness, those two will nail this. It will
- 20:46Speaker 2: be beautiful and you won't know a single word.
- 20:49Speaker 5: Now, that's what always amazes me, because you know, people
- 20:52Speaker 5: in other countries like love American music, but do they
- 20:55Speaker 5: even know what they're saying? You know what I mean?
- 20:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that's maybe how we felt about hit
- 21:01Speaker 2: me with a song.
- 21:04Speaker 5: The theme from Dawson's Creek. No.
- 21:06Speaker 3: I mean, I'm like a song that has different a
- 21:09Speaker 3: different language.
- 21:11Speaker 5: I mean like Desposito was a lot.
- 21:12Speaker 3: Of Spanish a little bit, so there's I mean, there's
- 21:14Speaker 3: certain songs that will a hit like that, I guess,
- 21:17Speaker 3: but overall very few.
- 21:19Speaker 5: Yeah, but they go nuts and they know every word,
- 21:21Speaker 5: but I just like they sing them, you know, like
- 21:23Speaker 5: I'm blank one eighty two. We'll go play in Argentina.
- 21:26Speaker 5: Do they have any idea what a Taylor Swift?
- 21:29Speaker 1: Oh?
- 21:29Speaker 5: Yeah, that person.
- 21:30Speaker 3: There's that Eras tour going on around the world right now, yeah,
- 21:34Speaker 3: right now, like Germany or Germany. Yeah, I mean a
- 21:36Speaker 3: lot of places know English.
- 21:37Speaker 5: I guess.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:39Speaker 5: Anyway, Who's just interesting thoughts. So that'd be cool to
- 21:41Speaker 5: see that French song from our girl girls what's her
- 21:45Speaker 5: Name's Lady Gaga and Celindion.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Stop it all right?
- 21:49Speaker 3: Tom Brady got himself a new lady or at least.
- 21:52Speaker 3: It's nothing serious. According to inside sources, they're just hanging.
- 21:56Speaker 3: It's a model named Brooks Nader. She's absolutely gorgeous. I
- 21:58Speaker 3: guess she's going through a divorce right now with a
- 22:00Speaker 3: business man. So it's again, nothing serious, but they're having
- 22:05Speaker 3: some fun. Good.
- 22:06Speaker 5: You know, he'll be on the TV this fall, right,
- 22:09Speaker 5: He'll be on the Fox broadcast for NFL games. I
- 22:12Speaker 5: believe it's supposed to start this fall, is it?
- 22:14Speaker 2: Why did I think it was one more year that
- 22:17Speaker 2: he gave himself one more year?
- 22:18Speaker 5: No, I'm pretty sure it's this year.
- 22:20Speaker 3: Okay, So we've got what Tom Brady and Jason Kelcey
- 22:23Speaker 3: and is there anybody else joining in the mixed?
- 22:26Speaker 5: Of course result they're not on the same broadcast.
- 22:28Speaker 4: Now.
- 22:28Speaker 5: I don't know what this setup will be, but yeah,
- 22:30Speaker 5: there will be people leaving and coming and going like
- 22:32Speaker 5: hevery year. Great, Yeah, it'll be good. I'm just ready
- 22:36Speaker 5: for football. I'm just ready for that.
- 22:38Speaker 2: I'm not ready for it yet.
- 22:41Speaker 3: Billy Ray Cyris and his estrange wife, fire Rose. You're
- 22:44Speaker 3: probably thinking, wait, fire Rose, what's going on here? They
- 22:47Speaker 3: were only married seven months?
- 22:48Speaker 5: Is that her birthname? Why does she have that name?
- 22:50Speaker 5: That's so annoying to me.
- 22:52Speaker 2: In the court.
- 22:52Speaker 3: Documents, she goes as Missus Hodges. I have no idea
- 22:55Speaker 3: what her first name is, Oh, Missus Hodges. Fire Rose
- 23:01Speaker 3: is very amber heard and Billy Ray not the best
- 23:05Speaker 3: guy either. So yesterday I guess they're about to sit
- 23:07Speaker 3: down for mediation, and she released all these recordings to
- 23:12Speaker 3: the tabloids.
- 23:13Speaker 2: Really, ick, listen.
- 23:14Speaker 3: This ain't about your surgery, This ain't about this is
- 23:18Speaker 3: about you being the smart I've changed, hitchhich.
- 23:25Speaker 2: It goes on.
- 23:26Speaker 3: I mean, it's just gonna bleep and bleep and bleep.
- 23:27Speaker 3: It's probably two minutes of audio. At one point. At
- 23:30Speaker 3: the very end, if you want to look it up,
- 23:32Speaker 3: he's talking about Miley, Cyrus and Tish and calls them
- 23:36Speaker 3: skunks but not skunks, big stinky skunks.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Uh huh. Really, just harsh things coming out of his mouth.
- 23:43Speaker 3: He of course is now firing back, saying we did
- 23:46Speaker 3: have a very tumultuous relationship.
- 23:48Speaker 2: But initially she knew that.
- 23:51Speaker 3: I wasn't aware she was recording, so she was on
- 23:54Speaker 3: her best behavior. She's doing this for another money grab.
- 23:58Speaker 3: Remember she spent one hundred thousand dollars in two days.
- 24:00Speaker 3: On his credit card right before they were going through their.
- 24:02Speaker 5: De That's impressive. That's impressive work from missus Hodges like.
- 24:06Speaker 6: It a minute in the morning, big naety eight point seven.
- 24:09Speaker 5: Yeah, I've really become a cheap skate over the last
- 24:12Speaker 5: couple of years here, like really just getting more and
- 24:14Speaker 5: more frugal and don't want to spend any extra money.
- 24:16Speaker 3: And I will tell you, since you came back from
- 24:19Speaker 3: Florida and we started working together, it's wild to me
- 24:22Speaker 3: just to see how much you grew in three years
- 24:24Speaker 3: as far as finances in your mindset. I mean, you
- 24:28Speaker 3: like drop all this knowledge things that I don't even
- 24:30Speaker 3: know about them, Like, oh, tell me more.
- 24:32Speaker 5: I appreciate you saying that. I mean it was time.
- 24:35Speaker 5: It was a lot of years of just will illy
- 24:37Speaker 5: freewheel and not carrying at all. This is the ultimate
- 24:40Speaker 5: though cheapskate hack Starbucks. I don't if you're a Starbucks.
- 24:43Speaker 3: Goer, but here and there, I'm not a big going
- 24:46Speaker 3: and getting good coffee kind of person.
- 24:48Speaker 5: Yeah, it is a nice treat every once in a while.
- 24:50Speaker 5: And you know, if you got a kid in the car,
- 24:52Speaker 5: no matter what age, they want something. If you're going
- 24:54Speaker 5: through and So this mom has gone viral for her
- 24:57Speaker 5: hack at Starbucks to get her little kis a little
- 25:00Speaker 5: girl a little treat. So she ordered a pup cup,
- 25:05Speaker 5: which is what they give oh dollar dogs. Yeah right,
- 25:08Speaker 5: it's a tiny little cup and it's whipped cream, isn't it.
- 25:11Speaker 5: It's whipped cream. Yeah, it's free. So she ordered a
- 25:15Speaker 5: pup cup and gave it to her daughter. Now, the
- 25:18Speaker 5: two year old daughter says, she says, you loved it.
- 25:20Speaker 5: She said she enjoyed it just as much as she
- 25:22Speaker 5: would enjoy a five dollars cake pop or whatever you
- 25:25Speaker 5: could buy. So people are roasting her online, saying she's
- 25:28Speaker 5: taking advantage of the system.
- 25:30Speaker 2: Not at all. This is genius.
- 25:32Speaker 5: Now they're gonna get rid of the pup cups once
- 25:34Speaker 5: this catch is on.
- 25:35Speaker 3: Nah, I think they're gonna be just totally fine with
- 25:38Speaker 3: throwing a little whip cream in a cup.
- 25:40Speaker 2: I mean, I think that's great. We just did ice cream.
- 25:43Speaker 3: Stop, I'll say that the other day, three small vanilla cones.
- 25:47Speaker 2: That was it? Three small vanilla cons Guess how much
- 25:50Speaker 2: that was?
- 25:51Speaker 5: Re small?
- 25:51Speaker 3: But oh got to be four dollars, ten dollars and
- 25:54Speaker 3: fifty three cents. I have never felt like such a
- 25:57Speaker 3: boomer in my life. I looked at the poor kid,
- 25:59Speaker 3: and I was like, there are three, like three ice
- 26:04Speaker 3: cream cones, small ice cream cones, soft serve, Like you've
- 26:07Speaker 3: got to be kidney.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Ten dollars and fifty three cents.
- 26:09Speaker 5: That's crazy.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Blew my mind.
- 26:10Speaker 3: And then in my mind, I'm thinking we could have
- 26:13Speaker 3: could you get the because they I think they do
- 26:15Speaker 3: some of these ice cream places like dog cups?
- 26:18Speaker 2: Could you do that?
- 26:19Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean you're kidding' gonna know the difference, right,
- 26:21Speaker 5: I mean, as long as they get something to hold
- 26:23Speaker 5: in their hands and take a few bites out.
- 26:24Speaker 3: And I don't want to be a cheap skape, but
- 26:26Speaker 3: there's just a point where, holy smokes.
- 26:28Speaker 5: I get it. But also I get a little annoyed
- 26:30Speaker 5: to people taking advantage of the system. Now they get
- 26:33Speaker 5: that now that I'm not want to do the same,
- 26:34Speaker 5: but when it's not me, and it's like, well, hey,
- 26:36Speaker 5: I'm following the rules that you need to too.
- 26:38Speaker 3: If it gets out of hand, it's one thing. But
- 26:40Speaker 3: for something like this, I think it's a great little
- 26:41Speaker 3: mom hack.
- 26:42Speaker 5: Well it's gonna ruin it for everybody. Talk about your
- 26:44Speaker 5: kid not knowing the difference. I'll tell you who also
- 26:46Speaker 5: has no idea what's going on? Is your dog?
- 26:48Speaker 3: So are you kidding me? That's not true. You go
- 26:51Speaker 3: to a drive up, those dogs are like right there.
- 26:52Speaker 5: Like God, but they don't mean they need ready to go.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Well, I mean that's true too. Yeah, what are you
- 26:57Speaker 2: gonna say?
- 26:58Speaker 5: Down?
- 26:58Speaker 2: Boy, They're gonna go. That's what I would say.
- 27:03Speaker 1: In the morning on SIG seven.
- 27:06Speaker 5: If you've seen a teenage boy lately, and maybe you
- 27:09Speaker 5: have a teenage boy, you know that it's quite obvious
- 27:11Speaker 5: what the newest trend is when it comes to boys' haircuts.
- 27:14Speaker 2: Mullets.
- 27:15Speaker 5: No, not mullets. That's what they're called. The broccoli cut. Okay,
- 27:18Speaker 5: this is defining the generation z. The broccoli cut. You've
- 27:22Speaker 5: seen it, Okay, picture, I have a teenage sixteen year
- 27:25Speaker 5: old boy who's got a perm up top resembling that
- 27:28Speaker 5: of a head of broccoli, and it's shaved on the sides.
- 27:31Speaker 2: I have not seen this yet. I still thought we
- 27:33Speaker 2: were in mullet lands. Are you kidding?
- 27:35Speaker 5: I mean, I'm not saying there's not some silly boys
- 27:37Speaker 5: getting mullets for fun, but no, I get you've seen it.
- 27:41Speaker 5: A bunch of celebrities, and apparently it's become the hottest
- 27:44Speaker 5: trend that these teen boys are demanding their parents get
- 27:47Speaker 5: them perm perms. It's not even legit that they don't
- 27:50Speaker 5: even all have naturally curly hair, which feels so fraudulent.
- 27:53Speaker 2: Gosh, did you well, we're not that far apart.
- 27:56Speaker 3: I grew up in the perm era when I was
- 27:58Speaker 3: younger getting perm so oh, this is painful.
- 28:01Speaker 2: I had a mullet. But the worst part is my
- 28:04Speaker 2: mom had my bangs.
- 28:05Speaker 3: Straight in the back. The back was the party part
- 28:10Speaker 3: was a perm. It was so bad.
- 28:13Speaker 5: I can smell it, right, Yeah, my mom would yeah
- 28:16Speaker 5: go in and I remember having to tag along for
- 28:18Speaker 5: the perm just the smell of salons back then, and
- 28:21Speaker 5: now it's.
- 28:21Speaker 3: Back they say, I think that is that smell. I
- 28:24Speaker 3: don't know exactly what that uh concoction is, but yes,
- 28:28Speaker 3: I don't know what they put into it.
- 28:29Speaker 5: But yeah, I mean, and I know people who have
- 28:32Speaker 5: this cut and it's it seems silly. But then again,
- 28:35Speaker 5: so did the bowl cut back in the day.
- 28:37Speaker 2: How the Jonathan Taylor Thomas card. Yeah, all of that.
- 28:41Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, every every generation is going to look
- 28:43Speaker 5: back and think their hair is ridiculous. This is no exception, to.
- 28:46Speaker 3: Be fair though. This is kind of the Justin Timberlake
- 28:49Speaker 3: raw and noodle hair in a way. But his is
- 28:51Speaker 3: this more shaved on the side, because I feel like
- 28:53Speaker 3: Justin's yeah, shaved on the side, it looks like a
- 28:55Speaker 3: number two on the side. For my hair people, it
- 28:57Speaker 3: was more of and permed up top, like my my
- 29:00Speaker 3: wife's brother has the same cut. Now his is natural,
- 29:03Speaker 3: so you got to give him respect there. If you're
- 29:05Speaker 3: perming your hair, I mean, it's just But then I
- 29:08Speaker 3: look back and it wasn't just a bowl cut. Then
- 29:10Speaker 3: you transitioned into like the two thousands, where there was
- 29:12Speaker 3: so much gel being used. You know, every boy like
- 29:16Speaker 3: had just this rock hard looked wet oh hair, even
- 29:20Speaker 3: girls like La looks or I mean everybody had the
- 29:23Speaker 3: little La looks in the backroom and then just you'd
- 29:25Speaker 3: get it like in between your fingers, just so disgusting,
- 29:29Speaker 3: absolutely dome like the Aquinette Rave days. Oh those were
- 29:33Speaker 3: the hair sprays that you would even put on top
- 29:35Speaker 3: of that, or you'd slick back your hair and just
- 29:37Speaker 3: leave your boying bangs.
- 29:39Speaker 5: You you had the boying bangs.
- 29:41Speaker 2: That was that stage for a little bit.
- 29:43Speaker 5: Yeah really, Yeah, that was back in the day the
- 29:45Speaker 5: boys all had the little just flipped up hair in
- 29:47Speaker 5: the front. Yes, that had.
- 29:50Speaker 3: Next stage after boying bangs was when son in was
- 29:52Speaker 3: a thing, and that was tragic.
- 29:55Speaker 5: Sun in.
- 29:55Speaker 3: You'd put the son in in your hair and then
- 29:57Speaker 3: you'd go out in the sun and it would change
- 29:59Speaker 3: your hair blonde if you were I don't know, blonde,
- 30:02Speaker 3: but if you had dark brown hair like myself, it
- 30:05Speaker 3: would turn it orange.
- 30:06Speaker 5: Oh that's fine.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Yeah, it was really great. My mom was a huge
- 30:08Speaker 2: fan of that.
- 30:09Speaker 5: Oh, I mean nothing wrong with that. I mean we
- 30:12Speaker 5: all had that changeing your hair color era. I'll never
- 30:15Speaker 5: forget the slim shady era.
- 30:17Speaker 2: Oh for sure.
- 30:18Speaker 5: I might have been a little late on it, but
- 30:19Speaker 5: I did at one point bleach my hair, which is
- 30:22Speaker 5: the dumbest thing anyone's ever done. So if you feel
- 30:24Speaker 5: like you've made mistakes in your life, nothing will ever
- 30:27Speaker 5: be as stupid as me and seventh grade bleaching my hair.
- 30:29Speaker 5: Oh my gosh.
- 30:30Speaker 2: We did some really dumb things. Still do
