- 0:00Hello, everyone, and welcome back to Have Faith, Let It Begin.
- 0:02It's a Monday. It's a new week. Let's talk about something we don't always admit in church spaces.
- 0:08Sometimes you feel spiritual dryness. That's right, spiritually dry.
- 0:13You pray, but it feels quiet. You read scripture, but nothing jumps out.
- 0:18You worship, but it feels routine.
- 0:21And you start wondering, what's wrong with me? Let me reassure you.
- 0:26Seasons of dryness do not mean you're lost in your faith.
- 0:31Even David cried out, My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. Psalms 42, verse 2.
- 0:39Thirst means you still desire him.
- 0:42Dry seasons are not dead seasons. They're often deeper root seasons. That's right.
- 0:49Sometimes God uses dryness to teach us to seek him more intentionally,
- 0:53not emotionally, but faithfully.
- 0:56Faith isn't always about fireworks. Sometimes it's steady or it's a steady commitment, really.
- 1:03If you feel dry today, don't quit. Stay planted.
- 1:08Keep showing up. Keep praying, even if it feels quiet.
- 1:14Roots grow deeper underground before fruit shows up or shows above.
- 1:20Let's pray about that. Lord, when we feel spiritually dry, help us remain faithful,
- 1:26strengthen our roots, and renew our thirst for you. Amen.
- 1:30And never forget, you matter. I gotta go back to work. Have faith? Let it begin.
