Latest / Podcast - Big 98.7 / Phrases To Avoid On Your Dating Profile
Transcript
- 0:00Well, here are some phrases that you're going to see a lot on dating
- 0:02apps that definitely are cliche at this point, and you just want to avoid
- 0:05them altogether, such as I love to laugh. Oh, is it like
- 0:09something ridiculous that I would have been like, I just love to laugh.
- 0:13I love to laugh. Looking for somebody who's just fun outgoing? Oh?
- 0:17Boy, Like, but of course you do. That's just one of the
- 0:21most universally loved things is laughing. I mean, it would be odd if
- 0:26it was like love to cry. I just love a good cry. Oh
- 0:29yeah, love love experiencing deep pain. Okay, swipe left or right whatever.
- 0:40The good one is another phrase you want to avoid in your dating profiles
- 0:44work hard, but play harder, Like, oh, I work hard,
- 0:49but I play harder. Yeah, that's that's an annoying one because, first
- 0:54of all, if you're working hard, like, are you really going around
- 0:58telling people that you work hard? And we all know what that phrase means.
- 1:00It has nothing to do with the amount of work you're actually doing.
- 1:03It's just basically saying that you get wasted on the weekend and hard. Yeah,
- 1:07it's more about the play than it is about the work. So it
- 1:11made me avoid that one. I love traveling. That's a cliche line to
- 1:18avoid your dating profile, but I kind of would like to know if somebody
- 1:22does or not, because there are people that don't really love to correct or
- 1:26they just don't go out of their way to do it. Yeah, my
- 1:27husband, he would go without ever traveling. Really, it's not really his
- 1:32jam. I mean, I guess if you send him a text action you
- 1:34were going on a golf trip somewhere, he'd be like, oh, okay,
- 1:38sure, but just in general, like he has zero desire to leave
- 1:42the country go and do. He'd do it, but he's not that proactively
- 1:47doing it exactly. He's not like, honey, we should go on a
- 1:49trip. Very rare. You'd have to drag him along. Yeah, unless
- 1:53he's like, oh we should go to Iowa again this week, and it's
- 1:56like yay, now there's a trip. He loves Iowa. Another phrase to
- 2:01avoid quote partner in crime. Never use the word what Yeah, don't say
- 2:07I'm looking for my partner in crime like a little body and Clyde action or
- 2:13just in general. Well, people who say that are usually like the furthest
- 2:15thing from an actual criminal. It's like the cheesiest or that would be bizarre
- 2:23if you were a felon or something on there and you're like looking for my
- 2:27partner in crime for like my next heist. Yeah, I got a big
- 2:29I got a job coming up. It's gonna take two though, any extra
- 2:31body, Yeah, I don't care for that. If you know, if
- 2:35we get to kiss before and after, it's just a bonus. But really
- 2:38just need the extra manpower. And then finally, phrases to avoid on your
- 2:42dating profile, anything about long walks on the beach. Oh, but nobody,
- 2:46nobody's using that. Not nobody's using that unironically at this point, right
- 2:51you wouldn't think so, but see, And that is another thing it get
- 2:54your attention? Is this person being funny? Like, don't you agree if
- 2:59you were still in the dating world, you'd want something that gets attention but
- 3:02will make you giggle. I mean, kind of going back to that,
- 3:05I like, I love to laugh. I think that that is so cliche,
- 3:09that saying oh I love long walks on the beach, because initially it
- 3:13was probably sincere people were so legit saying because let's be honest, we all
- 3:17love walking on the beach. I mean, it's just I don't like going
- 3:21too far though. You don't like a long walk where you get so far
- 3:23and then you realize, oh, crap, all the way back. Yeah,
- 3:28that's no fun. But then people started using it as a joke.
- 3:31But now I think we've gotten so far past that where anybody who tries to
- 3:35use it as a joke that would be like a big turn off. You
- 3:38don't think so or would that get you? It would get my attention,
- 3:43but then i'd have to like decipher if they're being funny or just a weirdo.
- 3:47I think it's time we go back to being sincere about it. So
- 3:51what would you recommend a long walk on the beach? Oh? I thought
- 3:53you meant sincere about dating profiles in general life. No, we are really
- 3:58Therefore we're locked in on the frame long walks in the beach. That's what
- 4:00I think. If like, if you do like that, then say it
- 4:04don't be in because I swear to God, if you put that in your
- 4:06profile and I were to be like, hey, like, you know,
- 4:10one of the things that really drew me to you was the fact that you
- 4:14love long walks on the beach. And then you're like, oh, yeah,
- 4:16I was kind of just being cheeky about it. I don't really like
- 4:19that. Then that would be a big issue. That would be fun to
- 4:23just go through somebody is like profile of all the things I like and be
- 4:26like, yeah, said you like this, but you don't how many of
- 4:29those actually line up or do they just say it because it looks good.
- 4:31It's like a job resume. How many things that you have on your job
- 4:33resume are you actually, you know, capable of well all of them I'm
- 4:41talking. I'm just like, in general, you think people are just like
- 4:44putting things down for real. Probably, Yeah, George Coustanza didn't always back
- 4:50to Seinfeld, but that's you know, how many times that I like have
- 4:54to swallow a Seinfeld reference because I don't want to always be that guy who's
- 4:59just constantly making Seinfeld references. So I'd be like this, huh, and
- 5:02that's part of the profit An in the Morning, No Amanda stills the Sea
- 5:08we see by park Company Real Tours. Well, how about this for a
- 5:14turn of events. Jennifer Lopez canceled her upcoming to her, and honestly,
- 5:16if she would have just said that, we would have been like, yeah,
- 5:18the ticket tales just aren't there. Back in March, she had a
- 5:21couple of shows she had to cancel because people are not wanting to go.
- 5:25I would say I'm up there, probably top seventy five percent of her like
- 5:31fanbase, you know what I mean, Like I followed her. I love
- 5:33her. I don't think op seventy five? Did I say that wrong?
- 5:39Like not? That's not saying you know if you were like the top one
- 5:44percent or ten percent, so you're like pretty casual, like you know this
- 5:51song. So let me back that up. I would say I am terrible
- 6:03at math. I am in the top ten percent of her fan base.
- 6:11I love her. I have always loved her. She released a new album
- 6:15in January. Couldn't Tell You a song? Forgot that she released this album
- 6:18and the fact she's going out on tour and want it to not be nostalgic
- 6:23is kind of like, uh, j Loo, you're not really getting it,
- 6:26You're not really getting how this works. And I'm not saying she's old
- 6:30either, but it's you got it, you got it. Nobody said you
- 6:32were. Is that what you're thinking or what? Yes? Because I feel
- 6:34like what I'm about to say is, yeah, we want the old stuff.
- 6:40Your new stuff just isn't hitting girl. It doesn't mean she's old.
- 6:43That's just like every act, every band, every artist, you know,
- 6:46they go through that where the fants just want the old stuff. So she
- 6:48did, by the way, say that she's taking time off to be with
- 6:51her family, and she's completely heartsick, devastated about letting people down. She
- 6:56says she wouldn't have done it unless it was absolutely necessary. Of course,
- 7:00ready between the lines, I would like to think she's doing this to save
- 7:01her marriage. Then I feel like when they got together, thought that not
- 7:05her career was over, but did he think she was going to come back
- 7:08and do all this? We watched that her documentary, He didn't you did?
- 7:13You didn't watch it? No, you told me how stupid it was.
- 7:15It made me want to do anything but watch it. And that's coming
- 7:17from a guy who's in the bottom quarter of her fans. Anyway, I
- 7:23know two or three songs Ben and Jalo. Yesterday they were spotted at a
- 7:27basketball game for Ben's son. They were snapped up giving each other air kisses,
- 7:31which also just weird. You weren't wearing your wedding ring last week,
- 7:35now you're doing air kisses. Whatever. If you're air kissing, that's then
- 7:40it's not a situation you need to be canceling your tour overs. So I
- 7:43think it's probably just ticket related entirely. It's a rough goal, all right,
- 7:48And I would go as far as to say it is a bit of
- 7:50a conspiracy. But all of this drama with her and Ben and him moving
- 7:55out, I almost guarantee that. And I'm just thinking of this as I'm
- 7:58talking. No, are you thinking all things that were set up? They're
- 8:01still in love, but it's like, hey, Ben, you just got
- 8:03to move out. I got to create this like distraction of why I'm going
- 8:07to cancel this tour because there's no way I can go out and play to
- 8:11an empty arena. Oh get hot take. I truly believe that, all
- 8:16right, And I know at least three songs now that I think about it
- 8:20now. According to an Inside Tours close to Tom Cruise, he's smitten over
- 8:24his pal Angelina Joe Lee and believes that they could be a perfect match,
- 8:30apparently arguably two of the most famous people. Apparently they've discussed working together on
- 8:35a few projects. Angelina has showed some williness to get to know Tom on
- 8:39maybe at personal level. He admires her for her intellect, also because she
- 8:43doesn't really conform to Hollywood expectations. But the first thing came to my mind,
- 8:48and I think everybody, wait a minute. Scientology plays a huge role
- 8:52in Tom Cruise's life to I don't see Angelina Jolie going into the scientology world.
- 8:58That would be crazy. But he apparently is bending over so much.
- 9:03Okay, interesting tidbit, getting this stretch again. I'm sure likes to keep
- 9:13limber. He's aware of her anti religious dance, so he's not worried about
- 9:22any of that. It's exa be hard. He's completely bent over. It's
- 9:26hard to talk to the guy. Tom, Come on up, I'm trying
- 9:31to get to know you. I'm now bent over. All we can It's
- 9:41not very useful. It's pretty tough to do anything. Travis Kelce. He
- 9:50teamed up with Jason Sadaikas for a charity event called Big Slick Celebrity over the
- 9:54weekend. No, Big Slick Celebrity we nd Is that what it was called?
- 10:01Yes, I don't know what they're doing. Like you'll hear the voice
- 10:03here of Jason today. And it was all planned out. It was a
- 10:05skit. So people were like, oh, my gosh, I can't believe
- 10:07you asked him this question. But this is Jason talking to Trav. The
- 10:13guys here, he doesn't need to be working anymore. And again, man,
- 10:26you want to give us the cliff notes if somebody couldn't understand, He
- 10:31said, when are you gonna make an honest woman out of her? Referring
- 10:33to Taylor Swift. That's when Travis just stroked his beard and kept his mouth
- 10:37shut. Will Everybody started cheering, did you ever watch that show Problem Child?
- 10:43No? I've never heard of that. Didn't Oh one of my favorites.
- 10:46Anyway, the guy what is that? What show? Or when?
- 10:48Network? What is it? Problem Child? It was a movie they had
- 10:50like Problem Child one through Oh he said show. Are you one of those
- 10:54people that you use show interchangeably for TV shows and movies? Yes, but
- 10:58he said it's like Gilbert Godfrey, Yeah, did you just check out?
- 11:03What are you doing? I'm reading about what does it mean to make an
- 11:05honest woman out? Because that's what he said. He said, Travis w
- 11:09what are you gonna make an honest woman out of Taylor Swift? And so
- 11:13it basically means like if you know they're horsing around and which we can predict.
- 11:20Is that? So? I guess doing that in an unmarried relationship is
- 11:24dishonest. I don't know, it's a it's a tough one to grab.
- 11:31What do you think he will next year? Next year? I think after,
- 11:35I think after a football season, after the Eras tour, after they
- 11:37can get some real lifetime, like real one all one time where they're not
- 11:43out doing all of this, because this is I mean, he's got to
- 11:46stop signing up for stupid game shows and the big slickster weekend or whatever.
- 11:50It almost sounds like he's trying to be an actor, and I just don't
- 11:54know if I'm prepared for that. I just I think it's just too much
- 11:56right now. I think it's going to his head a little bit. He's
- 11:58just got to dial it back. Did you ever watch that show Problem Child?
- 12:05No? I've never heard of that. Didn't Oh one of my favorites
- 12:07anyway, the guy what is that? What show? Or when? Network?
- 12:11What is it? Problem Child? There was a movie they had like
- 12:13Problem Child one through well, he said, show, are you one of
- 12:16those people that you use show interchangeably for TV shows and movies yes, but
- 12:22he sounds like Gilbert Godfrey, Yeah, did you just check out? What
- 12:26are you doing? I'm reading about what does it mean to make an honest
- 12:30woman out of? Because that's what he said. He said, Travis,
- 12:31what are you gonna make an honest woman out of? Taylor Swift? And
- 12:35so it basically means like, if you know they're horsing around and which we
- 12:41can predict, is that So I guess doing that in an unmarried relationship is
- 12:48dishonest. I don't know, it's a it's a tough one to grab.
- 12:54What do you think he will next year? Next year? I think after,
- 12:58I think after a football season, after the Eras tour, after they
- 13:01can get some real lifetime, like real one, all one time where they're
- 13:03not out doing all of this, because this is I mean, he's gotta
- 13:07stop signing up for stupid game shows and the big Slickster weekend or whatever.
- 13:13It almost sounds like he's trying to be an actor, and I just don't
- 13:16know if I'm prepared for that. I just I think it's just too much
- 13:20right now. I think it's going to his head a little bit. He's
- 13:22just got to dial it Back's a scoch I get a man in the morning,
- 13:26ninety seven, it's gone. Is it weird where we just admit to
- 13:33things we do in a private time? We bring them to the table,
- 13:35we say is it weird that I do this? Or is everyone else doing
- 13:39it too? So, Amanda, would you do the honors of check starting?
- 13:43Yes? So what ticks are terrible right now? Out of the like
- 13:48like they are the worst that they have ever been. It's disgusting, like
- 13:52they're awful. Oh my gosh, I don't think I've had my first tick
- 13:56this year. This makes me feel bad bringing it up because I feel like
- 13:58I'm going to just ruin everybody's day. So I apologize in advance. But
- 14:03uh, my husband just sent me a text saying that he found a woodtick
- 14:05on one of the kids. Because we do tick checks. We do all
- 14:09this as much as we possibly can, three or four times a day.
- 14:13And now, Pike, what when you're at the lake or just absolutely just
- 14:18at the lake, But then you know we were it's already Monday morning,
- 14:22so look in. But now I feel like I have them all over me.
- 14:26Yeah, like I keep picking picking, I feel like I feel like
- 14:28they're on my back right now I'm wearing jeans, I feel like they're crawling
- 14:33all over me. Do you get like I don't think I'm going to get
- 14:35that feeling away. Yeah, You're never safe, just when you think you've
- 14:39checked every crevice on your body. Have you ever found a woodtick in a
- 14:43place that's been there for a while? No, not like dogs when they
- 14:46turn white. No. Yeah, trust me, I've pulled some big rit
- 14:50my dog. No. I have my wife checked me head to toe every
- 14:54night before bed. So truly, though you've never found one, well,
- 14:58I've found it. Never a big big boy, because these are just little
- 15:01babes. But uh do I call ticks babes? That was weird that there
- 15:07was a weird way to refer to them. They are the grossest, most
- 15:09like sinister, little stupid things. Oh I see, I'm so gross.
- 15:15You can only kill them if you burn them, so I think. I
- 15:18think if you really grab them with your fingernail and like cut them in half.
- 15:20But my husband was trying to tell me, even if you they like
- 15:24resurface again, that they can grow together. Yeah, see that's not okay.
- 15:28I think we wait and I understand the circle of life and everything has
- 15:31a purpose. But can we all agree, Like I think we have the
- 15:35power to make them extinct? Why don't we? I would think? So?
- 15:39Who who misses them? What? Tell me? And I'm sure there's
- 15:41an answer. What animal is going to miss the ticks? They're blood suckers.
- 15:46I can't imagine, if anything, they're killing people and animals because of
- 15:48the limes. Is absolutely the grossest one I ever found, and it was
- 15:52in high school. I will never forget. There was one in my belly
- 15:56button and I went to clean my belt and it was like white, Yeah,
- 16:00that's why, Or like the ones on your scalp when you're just what
- 16:04I'm feeling right now because I have and then I have a couple of moles,
- 16:07so I'm like, are those that? Oh? I will say for
- 16:11the checks, you know, the nightly checks, I do, like you're
- 16:14really getting in there, and there's some places you're looking where I've never found
- 16:18one in one of those places, but but you just never know because they
- 16:21like warm spots, right, and we can all think of the probably warmest
- 16:23places on the human body. Thankfully I haven't pulled one out of there yet,
- 16:27but oh gross, one of these days I'll be ready. So not
- 16:32weird that all day today, I'm just gonna be just icky. Like that's
- 16:36how I feel right now, just completely gross. Now you're fine, Okay.
- 16:40Is it weird that I like to go back and watch shows I've already
- 16:44watched, right, That's not it though, so everybody does see that is
- 16:45also very weird to me. There's nothing I go back and really watch,
- 16:49but it's not just the show. In general. I love to go back
- 16:52and watch the episodes of shows where people die, like famous deaths on shows
- 17:00like if I'm gonna go back and watch Breaking Bad, and I know none
- 17:03of this is going to mean anything to you, well don't. I really
- 17:06do want to watch this, so try not to spoil it, Okay,
- 17:08I can't. Oh, just okay. Towards the end, there's a there's
- 17:11a lot of people die, but there's one that's like particularly heart wrenching,
- 17:15and so like, I'll go back and watch that episode. Or if I'm
- 17:18gonna go watch Criminal Minds, yeah, I want to watch the one where
- 17:22a dude's wife gets killed. Geez. Yeah, that's really morbid. Is
- 17:26that the word for it? Not not weird, more so morbid morbid.
- 17:30I will tell you this though, if ever i'm in a mood to like
- 17:33really get a good cry, I'll watch PS I Love You or Beaches,
- 17:37like if I want to like just send myself into a like blubbering mess.
- 17:41What we're talking about. I'm just saying, like that's the only movies.
- 17:45No, No, I'm not. I'm just saying that's the only time,
- 17:47like I would rewatch a movie to like invoke an emotion. Oh, I
- 17:51don't know what kind of emotion happens when you're watching death. Well, I
- 17:56don't know excitement, any any feeling at all. Like if I'm gonna go
- 18:00back and watch the Game of Thrones and again spoiler because I know you haven't
- 18:03seen that because you don't like good television, But I'm gonna go watch The
- 18:07Red Wedding every time. I just you know, the Fargo PD be involved
- 18:11in this. It feels like this is really creepy. You imagine they've all
- 18:14got this on and they're squad cruisers. Is that what they call them call
- 18:19if you're a cop right now, a squad cruiser. I feel like they're
- 18:22just called police cars, or I think they're called squad cars or police cruisers.
- 18:29I'm doing a little mixing and matching. I hope you don't mind,
- 18:33Amanda in the Morning on seven. People are starting to look at some phrases
- 18:37that we throw around all the time, you know, like you just said,
- 18:40live in the dream, right, it is what it is. Well,
- 18:42here's another one that you hear often, find a job you love,
- 18:47finish it for me, and you'll never work a day in your life.
- 18:51Yeah, that's right here it all the time. But some work psychologists and
- 18:55career coaches really dove into what that means and if it even is a thing
- 18:57at all, and most people agree that it's pretty much poppy cock. What's
- 19:07a word, right, I took a risk saying that I believe that's a
- 19:10word. I'm googling it. I believe. Oh yeah, poppy cock means
- 19:15nonsense, empty talk or writing good job, perfect failed the poppy cock.
- 19:22I believe it's poppy cock because you know, think about work is work,
- 19:25right, no matter what you do, you're gonna find a way to feel
- 19:29like it's work. Yeah. While the idea of doing something that like truly
- 19:32you love, like realistically, what is that like for me? I love
- 19:33golf, so yeah, I imagine if I was a professional golfer, I
- 19:37think it'd be awesome. But then again, like you hear, like,
- 19:40but then that stress would be now you have to play golf, You'll be
- 19:42in your head. It can't be as fun because now there's millions of dollars
- 19:48on the line. That's how you're fending for your When do you think that
- 19:52would be enough to like not really have any cares in the world. But
- 19:53then you look at these guys and they're like incredibly stressed. You know,
- 19:56yeah, like Tiger Woods. I guess you said pretty rough go at it,
- 20:00you know, was self inflicted of course, but easy on the Tiger
- 20:04Woods. I'm just saying there's a lot of stress involved too that I'm sure
- 20:07was fueling a lot of that. Yeah, you made some real poor choices,
- 20:11but hey, everybody does, absolutely maybe not like that. No,
- 20:18you didn't kill anybody. Nineteen of them nineteen mistresses or were the kids of
- 20:22big goddesses or was that Charlie Sheen's his were goddesses this Besides, I'm not
- 20:26getting into the story to rail on Tiger Woods. Well, you started it
- 20:32all right, So if you had to have what you we would idealize as
- 20:36a dream job the whole you know, you feel like you wouldn't work a
- 20:38day in your life. What job would that be? In an actual job?
- 20:41Don't say like wine tasting, Yeah no, because that's also something where
- 20:47I would probably not enjoy wine as much if I had to taste it all
- 20:49the time drinking you just spin it. Yeah, that'd be a lot of
- 20:53spitting. Yeah, you know, I mean, obviously I love what I
- 20:56do. I've been in radio for fourteen years or so, or at least
- 21:00here for that long. That's a good Now, this is your dream job,
- 21:03you know, you just and I don't believe you. But of course
- 21:06some people say, like, oh, I truly love my job. I
- 21:08love going in you know. I mean the three thirty alarm clock could really
- 21:12ease up a bit. But other than that, yes, I love my
- 21:15job. Yeah. But if you're stressed at work, it's easy to like
- 21:18imagine other jobs and think that they'd be awesome, but then you do them
- 21:21and they're like, oh, okay, this is kind of like a job
- 21:23too. Gosh, I don't know. I still think the only thing I
- 21:27really hated about it though, like beer cart Girl was by far the best,
- 21:30but there was a little stint that I had where there was a helper
- 21:34that would like load the cart for me and I'd give them like twenty bucks.
- 21:38That was nice. Otherwise it's a little intent sometimes trying to load up
- 21:41your beer cart girl, when those girls and gals are hungry and going through
- 21:47it's like, God, it's turned out to be a lot of work some
- 21:48days. Yeah, And I'm sure there are days you show up to that
- 21:51job and you don't feel like interacting with a bunch of people and having to
- 21:53like put on your face, you know, correct, But there are there
- 21:56are jobs that are worse than others. I will say, there are jobs
- 21:59that you truly dread showing up to, depending on your personality, yeah,
- 22:03for sure. Yeah, But I mean obviously some people don't have the luxury
- 22:07of getting to choose a silly, fun job that they think is fun,
- 22:11you know, yeah, like manual labor. For me, there's people right
- 22:14now building houses doing stuff, trying not to fall off a roof, and
- 22:17I'm like, don't hey, manual labor jobs. I mean, obviously you've
- 22:19got to be a certain type of person to do it, but they can
- 22:23be fun, like it can be it's just something about it, like just
- 22:26getting on the lunch, like you really earned your lunch break. And I
- 22:29can say this because I used to do some roofing with my dad. Okay,
- 22:33Oh, I thought you were gonna say, paint fire, hydrants and
- 22:34morehead. I'm like that was physical labor too, Okay, you really got
- 22:38to crouch down to paint those things, all right, like a mint in
- 22:45the morning on Big Nuddy eight point? Have you been driving? You ever
- 22:48been driving on a highway in North Dakota and seeing a dead animal painted pink?
- 22:53What? Never seen that? See a lot of unfortunately, a lot
- 22:56of dead animals in my time. That's so sad. I cannot stand that,
- 23:00especially like a deer when it's just oh, oh gosh, they're so
- 23:04big, well that and it's just when their tongue is hanging you know what
- 23:08I mean, and they're just like laying there. You're like, God,
- 23:11I'm not going to sit here. And you know, as a man who
- 23:14has taken a deer with a gun, what right you've gone deer hunting?
- 23:18Yeah, there's nothing wrong with that. Yeah. No, I'm just saying,
- 23:21like, who would I be to sit here and go, Oh,
- 23:22it's so sad to see their tongue hanging out on the side of the road
- 23:26as I have literally gutted them, you know, and rip Ord Yeah,
- 23:30no, got it. You know you know what I'm saying, easy tiger.
- 23:32But we know what deer hunting means. You don't need to go through
- 23:34the graphic details. I think it's more fun to sort of talk about it
- 23:37that way. We're all very well aware of what happens. Well, they're
- 23:42doing a thing where they're spray painting road killed. Now if you so,
- 23:45if you see like a pink raccoon or something, here's what's going on.
- 23:49They've teamed up the state and then North University of North Dakota in Grand Forks,
- 23:55and they're going around spray painting these animals. They want to get just
- 23:59move them. Well, they want to get an idea of, you know
- 24:00what animals and where it's happening the most, because obviously it's a danger to
- 24:06motorists. They say that five percent of accidents in North Dakota are caused by
- 24:11animals. Yeah, failed that one on my Minnesota driving test. Apparently you're
- 24:15not supposed to swerve for an animal. You're supposed to just hit it head
- 24:18on. That's one of those things. And I'm just like waiting for that
- 24:19to happen, you know, because you hear it all the time. Yeah,
- 24:22And I just wonder, in that moment, will I have that Will
- 24:26have have heard that enough to just sit there and drive right into a deer?
- 24:32So every deer that I have hit have just like cover too. Really,
- 24:38my mom was driving one of those times, just square to Yeah,
- 24:42it's as you're driving, just bam, like one was on the right side,
- 24:48tire like it just hit coming up right out of the ditch. One
- 24:52was on I'll never forget this one. We live on a dirt road and
- 24:56my mom hit it with her camera, but she also had this on roof,
- 25:00so it like flopped up on that top and it was there. I'm
- 25:03like, oh my gosh. I was like, tommy boy, Yes,
- 25:06horrendous like that was when they come in No no, no, no,
- 25:10but like up on top of the center for it's just like still up there.
- 25:12Yikes. But I don't understand why we're painting them. You just move
- 25:18them or document it. Here's what I thought, because I thought, are
- 25:22they just spray painting them to make them like easier to see? Because then
- 25:26yeah, in that case, while you're down there, why don't you just
- 25:29go ahead and shovel it off to the side. But apparently it's part of
- 25:33the research. They don't want to double count any of the animals because imagine
- 25:37your job is to drive around and count dead animals. You don't know if
- 25:41like they all look the same, right right, so, and then they
- 25:45leave them there. I mean that still begs the question couldn't you just still
- 25:48get rid of it and then you wouldn't count it again? I would think,
- 25:52So, I wonder, can you are you supposed to get rid of
- 25:55roadkill or is that just like a part of it? Yeah, exactly,
- 25:59I think you gotta do something. But also I don't want to be this
- 26:03girl. What kind of spray paint? Because now, if you're spray painted
- 26:07and an eagle comes down, could you kill the eagle because of the spray
- 26:11paint? Look at you? I know, I'm a revironmentalist. What they
- 26:14did say in the article that it is something called livestock spray paint. Okay,
- 26:18good, Sorry, I'm guessing that they just go into the hardware store.
- 26:22It's like, oh, this is like the leftover paint that is,
- 26:25Yeah, it's lead paint. Don't worry about it. I'm sorry. I
- 26:29ever questioned you guys, I was. It's just really me being braggadocious like
- 26:33I would BIG's big flights. You know, first of all, you're sad
- 26:37about the tongues hanging out of the deer. Deer's mouth. Now now this
- 26:41with the spray paint. Yeah right, I have five or six deer heads,
- 26:47not the heads, but the European mounts in my kitchen currently. Well,
- 26:51now you're just bragging. No, not for mama. Oh you didn't
- 26:55shoot that. Daddy got after those. That's your husband, Daddy who you're
- 27:00talking about, of course, got good for him. Good for him.
- 27:03You No deer heads, no daddy, No deer heads. Okay, so
- 27:11I shot a few deer back in the day when I just had started hunting.
- 27:14I was like, yeah, no, there they were the size of
- 27:18a dog. It was pathetic. Okay, that's an exaggeration, but you
- 27:21know what I mean. I'm no, I don't ten years old or whatever
- 27:25the heck. I'm sitting the woods and I see a deer and I you
- 27:26know, I'm just shake and excited. So anyway, eventually I would see
- 27:30a big deer that probably could have gone on the wall if I was a
- 27:33better shot. Yeah. Pretty humiliating PETA's online one. By the way,
- 27:38after this cover like Amanda in the morning, am I the only one that's
- 27:45not been doing this? Apparently people before they go on vacation, and maybe
- 27:51you can relate, Amanda. There are people out there who are cleaning their
- 27:55house before they go on vacation, really even like before the weekend, like
- 28:02before like if we're gearing up on a Friday, Yeah, I run home
- 28:06quick, make the beds, make sure all the laundry's done, everything so
- 28:08that way, I know, like yesterday, rolling back home, I have
- 28:14just that little bit of laundry that I needed to do and that was it.
- 28:17Everything was done. I mean, listen, I get the appeal.
- 28:19Yeah, that'd be amazing because it's now look at the opposite side, and
- 28:22this is kind of what I go through when you come back from a vacation.
- 28:26You just get home. You just want to relax, and it's a
- 28:29mess. Oh I see, I can't how stressful as that. I don't
- 28:33know if I could, And this is wild. I don't know if I
- 28:37could enjoy my weekend or vacation knowing that my house is a complete disaster.
- 28:41I also can't sleep at night if my house is a disaster. Really,
- 28:45Uh huh, you do have a weird tidy house, very odd. I
- 28:49wasn't sure if that's just what if I ever come over, you'd just you
- 28:52know, you prepare for me. I'm sure, I don't sure. There's
- 28:55a lot of that. Guys, Pike's coming over. We got a really
- 28:57absolute kids clean your bedrooms because you know, you never know if you might
- 29:02pop in there just to see how clean it is under your bed. You
- 29:04know, I'm just a psycho, remember that growing up, there's a clean
- 29:07your room, we're having company over it? Well, what the hell they
- 29:10going to do in my room all the time? Why is on janisk?
- 29:14But I do get it. I'm looking under my bed if you know.
- 29:17My kids haven't hit that stage where their rooms are a disaster yet, but
- 29:21I'm just waiting for that because that will be Yeah, you got to clean
- 29:23your room before. Sid is also kind of an organizer, so she likes
- 29:27to have her stuff nice and tidy. Briggs he just likes to line up
- 29:32trucks all over his brig Briggs. He's uh three, He's not a lot,
- 29:37just doing thing, kind of just existing, you know, But yeah,
- 29:41don't you no, I don't at all. Seventy five percent of people.
- 29:44That's seventy five percent, that's almost that's almost exactly. Three fourths of
- 29:48people say that they do pre vacation cleaning, doing laundry, scrubbing. I
- 29:52mean, like you're dusting, and what's the point of dusting? So I,
- 29:57uh, I feel like I've been very transparent about this. We use
- 30:02super cleaning. They come once a month. They're yeah, you're always talking
- 30:04about it, fantastic, and I they do like the one deep clean a
- 30:08month and then I just kind of keep up with it. So I don't
- 30:11do the bathrooms. I mean a little bit because I have a little boy
- 30:15and Nick, so you know, wipe up a little bit around there.
- 30:19But other than that, like I don't need the showers. That's kind of
- 30:22a once a month thing. Otherwise I just surface clean for the most part.
- 30:26If that you had house cleaners, I take back some of the things
- 30:29I say, some of the complimentary things I said about your cleaning habits.
- 30:32Okay, so you just in my house cleaning. Now here's what you need
- 30:38to wait a minute. Breaking news from the Minnesota Vikings. Huh A huge
- 30:48fan. You just you caught this story as you were scrolling as you were
- 30:52dreamscrolling, it'll be a Viking fan. Well, we were talking about doom
- 30:55scrolling, and I do. I do see a lot of Vikings content as
- 30:57as a Packer fan man, because I hate them so much. But you
- 31:03still want to you know, they say keep your friends close and your enemies
- 31:06closer. What do we got going on with our boy? Justin jeff Justin
- 31:08Jefferson, star receiver for the Minnesota Vikings, has agreed to a massive new
- 31:12contract with the team for four years one hundred and forty million dollars. Wow.
- 31:18Contract extension making him not only the highest paid receiver in NFL history,
- 31:23but the highest paid non quarterback in the history of the NFL. Wow,
- 31:29that's awesome. You kind of knew it was getting done, but it was
- 31:32just as a matter of time. But you know, if you're a Vikings
- 31:33fan, I think you're probably celebrating that one. Keep the totally keep the
- 31:37guy around, all right. Today is the first day for the pools to
- 31:40be open here in the FM area. The Fargo Park District officially announced that
- 31:45Reminder Island Park still one year outs. Cannot wait to see that redesign and
- 31:48when it's finished. I kind of forgot what it was supposed to look like.
- 31:52I remember seeing the original design place. I've seen the Omaka, but
- 31:55i've been seeing the the renderings for it. But definitely going to be needed,
- 31:59and I think people are going to be pretty jacked when that opens next
- 32:00They still gonna have the high dive. I hope I would assume, not
- 32:05that I ever did it. Really love the idea of it, but scared
- 32:08of heights. It's not a diving board. Guy. I'm not a strong
- 32:14swimmer in the DP end like that. You just don't know what's gonna happen.
- 32:17Yet. Never knew that about Jack. Yeah, do you for more
- 32:22of a swimmer than a non swimmer? Well, I'm like a straight line
- 32:24swimmer, got it? I think? Didn't we just talk about this where
- 32:28that's right? You can't tread water. I'll challenge anybody to a race,
- 32:31but you know, once I'm fatigued, I'm done. I'm out. I'm
- 32:34sinking like a rock. Okay, all right, And I don't know if
- 32:37you saw this or not. A week ago we were telling you about Mike
- 32:39Tyson and that medical emergency that he had with that ulcer that flared up on
- 32:44this flight or an ulcer flared up, but honestly, they kind of just
- 32:49dismissed it as not a big deal. Well, on Friday, they did
- 32:51announce that the Jake Paul Mike Tyson fight that everybody's so excited about on July
- 32:55twentieth is officially postponed until maybe later on this year. Oh, they just
- 33:00said he's not ready to he can't be all in training for this right now.
- 33:06Well it's good. I'm glad they did, because when he does fight
- 33:07him, I want him to be like fully prepared, ready to not uses.
- 33:10Yeah, absolutely, punks. They're annoying him and his brother. I
- 33:15forget which one's which, but whichever one Mike Tyson is fighting Jake Paul is
- 33:17who he's fighting. You're not a fan, I don't think so, very
- 33:22confident, but just YouTubers like my nature are annoying. All right, Sunny
- 33:25today, beautiful, get out and enjoy. I have about eight in a
- 33:30minute in the morning, Sage ninety seven. You've heard of doom Scrolling is
- 33:34where you just sit on your phone and kind of mind does he scroll?
- 33:37And all you're seeing is like negativity headlines and it's almost addicting, right,
- 33:42like people feed off the negative energy. I don't really have that on my
- 33:45feed, to be honest with you. There's just not a lot of negative
- 33:49stuff. It's usually like Taylor Travis uh Caitlin Clark has hit my feed.
- 33:53Other than that, it's cute babies and dogs. Well, aren't you just
- 33:57perfect? No, not at all. I'm just saying I'm kids what you
- 34:00are looking for? Of course right now? Well you a man. It
- 34:04might fit into the category of dream scrolling. This is a thing essentially the
- 34:07opposite of doom scrolling, but people are doing a whole lot of it.
- 34:12The average person wastes two plus hours a day scrolling through their feed looking at
- 34:16things that they wish they could buy, they hope to own one day,
- 34:21and they say it's actually useful because it motivates them to reach their financial goals.
- 34:25Interesting. Yeah, I definitely have more of a dream scroll going on,
- 34:29and I would love to. Oh gosh, two hours, that's insane,
- 34:32But it adds up quick when you're just scrolling around. Yeah, especially
- 34:37if you're multitasking like doing it. You know, absolutely I do. I
- 34:42have a lot of like home decor things that I save and look at,
- 34:45like, oh, I would love to do that with my home or you
- 34:47know, when my kids are older and I you know, they're not breaking
- 34:51things or doing like I'd love to have that situation. That's the way,
- 34:53Yeah, like decorating her home furniture or things like that, because it can
- 34:57all get so expensive, you know, and I'm always has been so cheap
- 35:00about like entertainment stand Like I don't even have one. I don't even need
- 35:04what those are kind of outdated, okay, but they got some that look
- 35:07really sharp, like if you've got the TV mounted and it's just like a
- 35:09really like a bass looking entertainment stand. But you can spend a thousand bucks
- 35:14on that. Absolutely. What what are you currently like dreaming of owning?
- 35:20Is there anything? M that's a good question, like an airplane or something
- 35:23like that, But is there anything you know what I'd really like, like
- 35:29a really good edge of my really good patio set. That's what I see
- 35:32right now, because ours it's if it wasn't, it's gonna be now.
- 35:37I swear these things are spying on us. I'm holding my phone up,
- 35:39but I see all these That's hilarious that you bring that up, because I'm
- 35:43like, oh so I just bought this new rug for outside, and next
- 35:45like, so you bought that so we didn't have to get new patio firms
- 35:49from. Like yeah, I just feel like it'd spice it up a little
- 35:51bit. Rugs do something they bring the room together or something like that.
- 35:54Yes, absolutely, but they put one out on our patio. I'm talking
- 35:59like really quality because you can get like the stupid like the cheap Amazon patio
- 36:04furniture set right, like a good wicker set that's gonna last durable, so
- 36:07wicker and just so the cushions so you just sink right into them, like
- 36:12it's hard to get out it's so comfortable. And then a little fire pit.
- 36:15That's a dream. Really, I don't even need a house. Just
- 36:17give me the give me the patio set. Nice. What about you?
- 36:21What are you dream scrolling? That is a good one, but uh,
- 36:24I would say right now, we've been focused on the bedroom, like I
- 36:29really want like some issues or what no, one no, just like making
- 36:34it more. I see all these like bedrooms that have really cool things.
- 36:37I don't know what I'm like, gosh, I I feel like ours is
- 36:39just like a bed and a night standing and that's what it's for. Though,
- 36:43that's what. A bedroom's not supposed to be exciting? But could I
- 36:45make it? The bedroom's not supposed to be exciting? Okay, I already
- 36:51did like a little double meaning, and now you're coming back with one on
- 36:53me. We're talking about decor more of a relax like everything in our house
- 36:58is like black and white, Like, what could I do to make our
- 37:00bedroom a little bit more? I think what you're describing as an accent wall.
- 37:06Have you thought about painting one of the walls like orange? Yeah,
- 37:09that'll be nice and peaceful, Pike an orange wall. I'm talking more of
- 37:14like a burnt orange Sienna kind of thing. You could really do, wonders
- 37:17for your fung shui. I'm just saying, no, maybe you gotta get
- 37:22me in there. See give me some ideas, gay or I'll pass.
