- 0:18Speaker 3: Good evening, ladies and.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Gentlemen. How's everybody doing tonight? I'd like to welcome to
- 0:29Speaker 1: the stage, the lyrically acclaimed, I like this young man
- 0:35Speaker 1: because when he came out, he came out with the phrase,
- 0:38Speaker 1: he went from ashy to classy.
- 0:40Speaker 3: I like that.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Give it up for him, y'all. You heard the bell.
- 0:50Speaker 4: It's time to put your work aside for the day
- 0:52Speaker 4: and get ready for some fun with none other than
- 0:54Speaker 4: the Reese's Bell, the network for creatives and radio's greatest playground.
- 0:59Speaker 4: For the next two hours, your listening pleasure is in
- 1:01Speaker 4: very capable hands. The Reese's Bell on-air host, here he is,
- 1:06Speaker 4: Joshua Umahi.
- 1:13Speaker 1: September 16th, the year of our Lord, 2026. Mid-September, NFL back,
- 1:23Speaker 1: NFL bike, and of course, just general insanity as we
- 1:28Speaker 1: head towards the very end of 2026. What an insane
- 1:31Speaker 1: year it's been. What an insane show you got. It's
- 1:34Speaker 1: the Recess Bell on air, brought to you by the
- 1:37Speaker 1: Recess Bell, the network for creatives here on The Voice,
- 1:40Speaker 1: of course, of Nassau Community College, 90.3 WHPC. It is
- 1:46Speaker 1: your host, Joshua Imahi. I'm joined by my all-powerful team.
- 1:52Speaker 1: We got Lay. We got Eric Sincere. We got Corey
- 1:58Speaker 1: David in the house.
- 2:02Speaker 3: Lay.
- 2:04Speaker 1: NFL Allegiances. Have I asked you this before? I don't
- 2:07Speaker 1: even know which team you root for. Are you a
- 2:09Speaker 1: Where He At fan? Wherever He At fan? Are you
- 2:11Speaker 1: one of those? Like, what... Pick a team. Claim one
- 2:14Speaker 1: right now. If you had to pick. Let's do the Giants. Whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Hold on. Let me think. Thank you. All right.
- 2:24Speaker 5: I'm going to do Philadelphia Eagles just because of Abba Elementary.
- 2:29Speaker 5: And then New York Giants because of New York.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Did you just say two teams? Yeah. That are ops
- 2:36Speaker 1: against each other.
- 2:38Speaker 5: Corey, I don't know nothing about this. I just go
- 2:40Speaker 5: to the games just for the hot dogs and then
- 2:42Speaker 5: sit on the bleachers, and that's it.
- 2:43Speaker 1: That's it.
- 2:44Speaker 6: All right, so the Cowboys, I mean, the Eagles and
- 2:47Speaker 6: the Giants are both in the same division.
- 2:50Speaker 1: They're basically bitter enemies. Good to know.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Wow.
- 2:56Speaker 1: She said, I'm going to be blood and crip, basically.
- 3:00Speaker 5: Turn purple, shoot.
- 3:03Speaker 1: I know Leigh is a big Abel. So you Grape
- 3:05Speaker 1: Street crip? What the hell are you talking about? You
- 3:11Speaker 1: said turn purple. I said, basically. Come on, man.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Stop the violence.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Corey is a Giants fan. Erickson here is a Cowboys fan.
- 3:23Speaker 1: If you have been tapped into WHPC Sports Talk, I
- 3:28Speaker 1: don't know, say from like 2022 to 2025, you know
- 3:31Speaker 1: the allegiances. I am a New Orleans Saints fan. I'm
- 3:35Speaker 1: not going to explain that to y'all because we don't
- 3:36Speaker 1: got the time for me to go into all that storytelling.
- 3:40Speaker 1: But listen, the NFL is back regardless. And while my
- 3:45Speaker 1: team didn't win, they didn't get a dub in week one.
- 3:48Speaker 1: We'll get into more of the scores and we'll get
- 3:50Speaker 1: into definitely what week two will entail as well. A
- 3:54Speaker 1: lot of National Football League talk on tonight's TRB on air.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Also to come tonight. We didn't get to do it
- 4:02Speaker 1: last week. We was caught for time. But listen, very
- 4:06Speaker 1: heavy day, obviously, last week. The anniversary. You know, it
- 4:13Speaker 1: came back around again. Oh, no. I hate talking about death.
- 4:17Speaker 1: I really do. And we all know what, you know,
- 4:22Speaker 1: those first few, after that first week of September, we
- 4:25Speaker 1: all know what the deal is. Never forget the day
- 4:33Speaker 1: that Charlie Kirk got gunned down in front of Utah
- 4:35Speaker 1: Valley University. Yo, in front of mad cameras.
- 4:38Speaker 3: Yo!
- 4:39Speaker 1: Yo! Oh, wait, I could tell by the faces in
- 4:43Speaker 1: the room.
- 4:44Speaker 2: I wasn't expecting you to go that route.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Threw me for a loop. Yeah, twice. Was there something
- 4:53Speaker 1: else that happened? I don't mean to joke, yo. Listen, yes, yes, yes.
- 4:57Speaker 1: 25th anniversary of September 11th, 2001. 25 years already. Now,
- 5:00Speaker 1: I was... I just turned four when.
- 5:08Speaker 1: The towers were hit and the terrorist attacks were carried
- 5:11Speaker 1: out onto our country. Four planes were hijacked. Two hit
- 5:16Speaker 1: the towers. One hit the Pentagon. One hit a field
- 5:18Speaker 1: in Shanksville after the... This is one of the craziest
- 5:22Speaker 1: stories to me. They really took over the flight, the passengers,
- 5:25Speaker 1: and were like, yeah, no, I don't even... Does anybody
- 5:28Speaker 1: know where that plane was supposed to go?
- 5:30Speaker 5: The White House.
- 5:31Speaker 1: The White.
- 5:32Speaker 2: It was either the White House or Capitol.
- 5:34Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Sheesh. Yeah. So they all had to get like posthumous
- 5:41Speaker 1: presidential medal of freedoms for that. I would guess. But yeah,
- 5:47Speaker 1: it's something that Gen Z typically and we always talk
- 5:50Speaker 1: about Gen Z on the show. We are all Gen
- 5:51Speaker 1: Z except for you know who. Right. So now we
- 5:56Speaker 1: always talk about how Gen Z treats certain things, tendencies
- 5:59Speaker 1: of Gen Z. all that. So Gen Z is something
- 6:02Speaker 1: cause we, I think most of Gen Z was born
- 6:06Speaker 1: obviously after September 11th or at least born right around
- 6:10Speaker 1: the time where they were too young to even remember it. So,
- 6:13Speaker 1: you know, I think Gen Z is something that we
- 6:16Speaker 1: tell a lot of jokes and we make fun of
- 6:17Speaker 1: a lot of things, but that's just a coat. Like
- 6:20Speaker 1: life is kind of trash for us as we head
- 6:22Speaker 1: into adulthood. So I think we, we find comfort in
- 6:26Speaker 1: the humor. But we talked about it during our pre-show meetings.
- 6:30Speaker 1: This year in particular, I don't know whether it was
- 6:33Speaker 1: just because it was the 25th anniversary, but we all
- 6:37Speaker 1: took it pretty seriously. I didn't see all the jokes
- 6:39Speaker 1: flying around. I didn't see everybody making the crazy conspiracies
- 6:43Speaker 1: and whatnot. You're always going to see some of that
- 6:45Speaker 1: when it comes to 9-11, but it was pretty calm.
- 6:50Speaker 1: And I think I have a theory about why. Because,
- 6:54Speaker 1: like I mentioned earlier, I think we all got our
- 6:56Speaker 1: silliness out. The day before. September 10th, 2025. My boy,
- 7:04Speaker 1: Charles James Kirk, friend of the show, posthumously. Show Boing
- 7:08Speaker 1: Boing of the week winner. That's an esteemed honor, yo.
- 7:11Speaker 1: I don't know how much that's valued out in these streets,
- 7:15Speaker 1: but that's a high honor. And unfortunately, he passed away
- 7:18Speaker 1: like months after that. Yeah, gunned down. And, you know,
- 7:22Speaker 1: if y'all remember, it's funny thinking back on it. If
- 7:26Speaker 1: y'all remember those first couple of days after, you know,
- 7:30Speaker 1: people were like very sensitive about it. They were like, Oh,
- 7:33Speaker 1: if people are making jokes about Charlie Kirk, you have
- 7:35Speaker 1: no soul and all this and all this stuff. And
- 7:38Speaker 1: I'm just like, Oh, I'm not going to lie. I'm sorry. No, no, no.
- 7:48Speaker 1: You know what it was? You know what it was?
- 7:49Speaker 1: And I don't mean to be insensitive. I really don't.
- 7:51Speaker 1: I know death is serious, right? You know what it was?
- 7:54Speaker 1: It was just like, the whole thing of being in
- 7:58Speaker 1: the classroom and you make eye contact with your friend
- 8:02Speaker 1: and it's just like you trying your best not to
- 8:04Speaker 1: laugh but then you make that eye contact and the
- 8:07Speaker 1: teacher's like it's not funny if i see anybody laughing
- 8:10Speaker 1: it's over you're gonna kick out of class and like
- 8:12Speaker 1: now it's now it's more funny i just feel like
- 8:17Speaker 1: everyone was like oh how dare you make jokes about
- 8:19Speaker 1: charlie kirk and Now you see all the Charlie Kirk
- 8:22Speaker 1: memes flying around. Like, that's what happened. Y'all tried to
- 8:25Speaker 1: beat a teacher in the classroom. That was like, that's
- 8:28Speaker 1: not funny. I don't want to hear anybody laugh or
- 8:29Speaker 1: you're getting the attention. And then I was going like
- 8:33Speaker 1: full Spongebob and Patrick. You know what's funnier than 24? 25. Yeah, Josh.
- 8:38Speaker 6: I'm sorry.
- 8:39Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 8:39Speaker 6: The amount of him, like people been AI in his face,
- 8:43Speaker 6: lots of people been the wildest I've ever seen.
- 8:46Speaker 1: I was like, yo.
- 8:49Speaker 6: I've seen Charlie Kirk AI face swaps where he should
- 8:54Speaker 6: not be. I'll just put it like that.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Corey, what's the craziest one you've seen over the past
- 8:59Speaker 1: calendar year? What do you say? There's so many.
- 9:02Speaker 6: I think the craziest one I think I've ever seen
- 9:05Speaker 6: was they put his face on Julian Newman's sister. Yeah
- 9:10Speaker 6: I saw that one I said I said I said
- 9:14Speaker 6: Y'all are low down That's.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Wild They always seem to put him on speed though
- 9:19Speaker 2: Like I don't know They always put him on speed
- 9:21Speaker 2: I see.
- 9:21Speaker 6: Him in a lot of I seen I seen the
- 9:24Speaker 6: blue face one Yo I saw that one too He's
- 9:29Speaker 6: like I forgot what song it was Something Bleeded It
- 9:31Speaker 6: was like I forgot what song it was I forgot
- 9:34Speaker 6: what song that blue face.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Song was Oh I'm not the biggest on a blue face.
- 9:40Speaker 1: So knowing the blue face songs, admittedly, my bad. That's
- 9:49Speaker 1: all I'm saying. Like, that's all I'm saying. Like rest
- 9:53Speaker 1: in peace, Charles James Kirk. We can't, if there is
- 9:56Speaker 1: a show carrying the flame for Charlie Kirk, it's the
- 9:58Speaker 1: recess bill. Am I right?
- 9:59Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 10:00Speaker 5: Hey.
- 10:01Speaker 1: You know, I'll say this. I'll say this.
- 10:04Speaker 6: It's... What these people have been doing with his image is, like,
- 10:10Speaker 6: you can say it's art. You can say it's kind
- 10:11Speaker 6: of art, basically, you know.
- 10:13Speaker 1: That's all I can say. It's art? It's art.
- 10:17Speaker 6: I'm just hoping that wherever Charlie is in heaven, if
- 10:20Speaker 6: he is, you know, that I hope he's looking down
- 10:25Speaker 6: at Erica and just be like, I hope she's honoring
- 10:28Speaker 6: his name.
- 10:29Speaker 1: I hope. Down? Down. He did say looking down on
- 10:35Speaker 1: Erica Kerr. Down? I think it's a big debate where
- 10:38Speaker 1: Charlie Kerr is at. It's just not certain. Nothing's certain
- 10:43Speaker 1: in this life. I don't know. Nothing is certain. Oh, man.
- 10:47Speaker 2: If I, you know, passed along into the next life and,
- 10:51Speaker 2: you know, people was making artificial intelligence memes of me,
- 10:55Speaker 2: I would.
- 10:56Speaker 1: I might have to come back. Like, I might find
- 10:59Speaker 1: a way to come back. You wouldn't be happy... I'm
- 11:00Speaker 1: haunting everybody, yo. You wouldn't be happy that... Corey, that's
- 11:03Speaker 1: not art. No, no, no.
- 11:04Speaker 6: You wouldn't be happy that your wife is putting that
- 11:07Speaker 6: WWE-type pyro down to celebrate your life?
- 11:10Speaker 1: She's doing too much. Too much. She's doing too much.
- 11:13Speaker 5: Like, you're showing your ass right now.
- 11:15Speaker 2: She's going on tour celebrating his death.
- 11:17Speaker 1: I like him for... I like him a lot.
- 11:22Speaker 6: I don't know if it was too over here I had,
- 11:25Speaker 6: but I did something with that bar.
- 11:28Speaker 1: If you get it. Say it again. Say it again? No,
- 11:32Speaker 1: because it didn't be too obvious. No, no. Just say
- 11:34Speaker 1: it again. All right.
- 11:35Speaker 6: Think about what I said about what I said was art.
- 11:39Speaker 6: And then think about what I said where he was at.
- 11:46Speaker 1: If you get it, you'll get it.
- 11:48Speaker 6: You know, it was people who were celebrating his It
- 11:52Speaker 6: was some people who, you know, who honored his life,
- 11:57Speaker 6: you know, up at certain places that, that, you know,
- 12:03Speaker 6: you know, deserve a shout out. I'm just doing it indirectly.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Uh-huh. We got you. That's my favorite drop. Yeah, a lot.
- 12:13Speaker 1: I done came down. Let's get right. Let's circle back
- 12:19Speaker 1: to the NFL, though. Yo, week one had it all. Like,
- 12:22Speaker 1: Everything we were waiting for as football fans this past Wednesday,
- 12:27Speaker 1: because the season tipped off on a Wednesday for the
- 12:30Speaker 1: first time. Then the next day, Niners Rams from Australia
- 12:35Speaker 1: of all places. And then this past Sunday and Monday,
- 12:38Speaker 1: it had everything like historic scoring. This is the highest
- 12:43Speaker 1: scoring week one in NFL history, right? We had mad
- 12:48Speaker 1: statement wins. Shout out to Corey's Giants. taking down the
- 12:52Speaker 1: cowboys sunday night football everybody was watching emotions were high
- 12:56Speaker 1: in metlife stadium with the 9-11 25th anniversary recognition and
- 13:00Speaker 1: the giants uh showed up throughout and now played the
- 13:03Speaker 1: cowboys so definitely gonna circle back to that and when
- 13:06Speaker 1: you talk about the nfl shout out the uh our
- 13:09Speaker 1: favorite form of media outside of a charlie kirk ai
- 13:12Speaker 1: edits uh the druski skit the art of the druski
- 13:16Speaker 1: skit so he put one out just before the season
- 13:19Speaker 1: started um I'm going to phrase it as raising awareness
- 13:25Speaker 1: for CTE victims. I think that's what Drewski was doing.
- 13:31Speaker 1: And what do we have? We had, as we always
- 13:33Speaker 1: do with the NFL, concussion, drama, head trauma, drama. My
- 13:39Speaker 1: short king in arms, Kyler Murray. First quarter and got
- 13:43Speaker 1: knocked out of the game. Carson Wentz had to come in,
- 13:47Speaker 1: like Leigh said, former Eagles quarterback. Kind of a journeyman
- 13:50Speaker 1: quarterback now. Delivered the win for the Vikings over the Packers.
- 13:53Speaker 1: It was just so much that happened. So much that
- 13:56Speaker 1: happened already in week one. It was incredible. I survived.
- 14:01Speaker 6: I survived the Kenneth Walker blitz last night in one
- 14:05Speaker 6: of my fantasy leagues.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Now, let me ask. How many points did Kenny Walker get?
- 14:10Speaker 1: He had like 34. Yeah.
- 14:13Speaker 6: We survived that. We survived that onslaught. But in our
- 14:17Speaker 6: fantasy league, I'm 1-0 right now. Shout out to Lamar Jackson.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Yeah, the TRB Invitational. Some people thought I wasn't going
- 14:29Speaker 1: to get him again, but I got him. You took
- 14:31Speaker 1: him in the third round. We knew you were going
- 14:33Speaker 1: to get him. You took him a round earlier than
- 14:35Speaker 1: anybody would have taken him. We knew you were going
- 14:37Speaker 1: to get him again. Sometimes you got to go get
- 14:38Speaker 1: your man if you want him. Bro, no.
- 14:43Speaker 2: No, you can't say that, man.
- 14:47Speaker 1: I said pause. That was wild. That was pretty wild.
- 14:52Speaker 1: I don't get a pass because I said the pause?
- 14:53Speaker 1: That ain't even pretty wild. That was wild. I mean,
- 14:56Speaker 1: it is cuffing season, Corey. Yeah, you definitely got to
- 14:58Speaker 1: get who you want. Y'all know what I meant.
- 15:00Speaker 6: And the fact that y'all twisting it up, that just
- 15:02Speaker 6: shows y'all what y'all minds are.
- 15:03Speaker 5: Like Josh said, it's cuffing season, so get what you want.
- 15:07Speaker 1: That was crazy. Go get your man.
- 15:13Speaker 6: The fact that y'all know what I meant and y'all
- 15:15Speaker 6: twisting it.
- 15:17Speaker 2: You got to get what you want. Go get your man.
- 15:19Speaker 1: I got to win. That's all I know I got.
- 15:21Speaker 1: I got to win. I got to win.
- 15:23Speaker 6: Some people can't say they got to win, did it?
- 15:25Speaker 6: How many of y'all got to win this week? Since
- 15:30Speaker 6: you asked, Corey, my fantasy team did win. Not that
- 15:33Speaker 6: anybody cares, but yeah, they got a dub this week.
- 15:36Speaker 2: We still got more games to play.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Oh, that sounds like somebody who lost. It's all right.
- 15:42Speaker 2: I had an auto drive. There's nothing I can do. Like, I'm...
- 15:47Speaker 2: Mulling trading for my guy, CeeDee Lamb.
- 15:50Speaker 1: But you, JSM went off for you.
- 15:53Speaker 2: He did. He did. I don't know. I might, I
- 15:56Speaker 2: might hold that off for another week.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Maybe not. Maybe not. We gonna see. We gonna see.
- 16:03Speaker 1: But yeah, a full helping of NFL football. We even,
- 16:08Speaker 1: I forgot to mention. So you had everything like scoring,
- 16:10Speaker 1: statement wins, depressing losses. Shout out the LA Chargers. Disgusting. Oh,
- 16:15Speaker 1: the Green Bay Packers, nasty, right? Just very, very nasty
- 16:19Speaker 1: losses that we saw on Sunday. I brought up the concussion,
- 16:23Speaker 1: the weekly concussion with the... I'm going to call them...
- 16:27Speaker 1: I'm going to take the onus off of Tua Tungvaluwa.
- 16:29Speaker 1: I'm going to call them the Druski fingers now, the
- 16:32Speaker 1: fencing position. You don't ever like seeing that on the
- 16:36Speaker 1: football field. But then you had officiating drama. And not
- 16:41Speaker 1: to make it about my team. But... What are we doing?
- 16:47Speaker 1: So Saints-Lions. Saints force a fumble, I thought. Chase Young
- 16:54Speaker 1: sacks Jared Goff. And the Saints run back the other
- 16:57Speaker 1: way for a touchdown. And then the NFL officials come
- 17:01Speaker 1: out and are like, yeah, so there's this very select rule.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Section 10, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. That, you know,
- 17:08Speaker 1: if you something, something arm goes forward and he intended
- 17:13Speaker 1: to throw it. And that means it doesn't matter where
- 17:15Speaker 1: the ball lands. The ball went 15 yards backwards. So
- 17:18Speaker 1: what I'm trying to say is, what I'm trying to
- 17:21Speaker 1: say is, just because I intend to do something and
- 17:29Speaker 1: the execution is something different, that don't mean like, hey,
- 17:35Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Shorty. I meant to go over
- 17:37Speaker 1: there and just break up with her and talk to her. But,
- 17:39Speaker 1: you know, we just wound up in bed. But I
- 17:41Speaker 1: intended to break up with her. So it's okay, right? Like,
- 17:43Speaker 1: that's what I intended to do. Like, what are we doing, yo?
- 17:47Speaker 2: They had to really blow the dust off of the
- 17:49Speaker 2: rule book and go in a section, whatever it was,
- 17:52Speaker 2: to really, like, read it. When you have to do that,
- 17:56Speaker 2: first off, I saw it play myself. That was definitely
- 17:58Speaker 2: a fumble. That's a fumble in any other game, in
- 18:01Speaker 2: any other stadium. Like, if they were playing in New Orleans,
- 18:04Speaker 2: for sure.
- 18:05Speaker 1: That's a fumble.
- 18:07Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 18:08Speaker 1: I'm not even trying to do the whole Saints always
- 18:10Speaker 1: get robbed thing because, yeah, I be saying that in
- 18:13Speaker 1: the group chats and everybody hits me with the, shut up.
- 18:18Speaker 1: What do you mean? I'm not going to do that.
- 18:20Speaker 1: I'm not going to do that. What do you mean
- 18:21Speaker 1: by the Saints always get robbed? Name an example. Here
- 18:24Speaker 1: we go. Here we go. Name an example. He's on
- 18:28Speaker 1: a high right now. Why are you trying to start
- 18:33Speaker 1: with me? Yeah, why do you want him to explain?
- 18:36Speaker 1: You want him to explain heartbreak. What kind of man
- 18:38Speaker 1: are you?
- 18:38Speaker 6: I just don't understand. I just don't understand. I just
- 18:41Speaker 6: think there's false allegations.
- 18:43Speaker 1: False allegations.
- 18:45Speaker 6: I think the Saints have been reffed pretty fairly over
- 18:48Speaker 6: this last decade plus. You know, they just couldn't measure up.
- 18:53Speaker 6: You know, some people, Drew Brees, Mega Brees, you know,
- 18:57Speaker 6: couldn't hack it.
- 18:59Speaker 1: I know your ass ain't talking.
- 19:00Speaker 3: You know.
- 19:01Speaker 1: You got Magma Holmes over there with your young guy
- 19:03Speaker 1: in the quarterback position. Who? Yeah.
- 19:06Speaker 6: My guy Jackson. Jackson Dart don't got internet. He don't
- 19:09Speaker 6: got internet. He don't know no better. He don't got.
- 19:12Speaker 6: He don't know no better. He was just supporting the president.
- 19:15Speaker 6: He don't know no better.
- 19:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Just because he's rushing for touchdowns and throwing for touchdowns. Yeah,
- 19:22Speaker 1: I don't think we forgot. He was over there introducing
- 19:25Speaker 1: Daddy Trump at the RNC.
- 19:27Speaker 6: Why was Breeze at the White House?
- 19:31Speaker 1: Corey, I'm not even about to do this with you.
- 19:32Speaker 1: You know what? Hashtag stick to sports. I heard Breeze
- 19:37Speaker 1: and Sean Payton. That's Trump boys right there. We just
- 19:42Speaker 1: got a bunch of wiggles. We just got a bunch
- 19:44Speaker 1: of wiggles on my team. They don't know no better.
- 19:48Speaker 1: They don't got no internet. I knew he was going
- 19:50Speaker 1: to work towards the Wiggle mention. I knew it. I
- 19:53Speaker 1: saw it coming. I didn't stop it. I didn't do
- 19:56Speaker 1: enough to stop it. Yes, today's episode of TRBOA. When
- 20:02Speaker 1: we come back, we got a lot to get to.
- 20:04Speaker 1: The news report, we got to get to.
- 20:06Speaker 3: The 9-11 news.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Aftermath of the anniversary the uh the ceremony in new
- 20:12Speaker 1: york city uh they had zora mom donnie they tried
- 20:15Speaker 1: to throw him in some controversy but um further evidence
- 20:20Speaker 1: proved that it might have been an overreaction i have
- 20:23Speaker 1: yet to bring this name up but it has become
- 20:25Speaker 1: a full circus the lindsey clancy trial where uh trigger
- 20:31Speaker 1: warning for anybody she uh murdered her three children And
- 20:35Speaker 1: then it became a postpartum psychosis, mental health kind of thing.
- 20:41Speaker 1: So mistrial happens, just to summarize. And you know what
- 20:45Speaker 1: the juror said? It's my favorite meme of all time,
- 20:48Speaker 1: what they're pulling off now. Get in there and make
- 20:51Speaker 1: it about you. Just looking in the mirror. They made
- 20:54Speaker 1: it all up. They going on TV, CBS, CNN, NBC. Oh,
- 20:59Speaker 1: we don't know what happened. There was one holdout juror
- 21:02Speaker 1: and I don't know what he was thinking, and he
- 21:04Speaker 1: scared me in the courtroom. Like, what? Damn. Get in
- 21:10Speaker 1: there and make it about you for real. Not the
- 21:12Speaker 1: three kids that were unfortunately murdered.
- 21:15Speaker 3: Oh, no.
- 21:15Speaker 1: We got to make it about the jurors. All everyone
- 21:17Speaker 1: wants to talk about is the jurors now. We got
- 21:21Speaker 1: TRB game picks coming back. So myself and Eric Sincere
- 21:25Speaker 1: and Corey will throw it back to sports talk times.
- 21:28Speaker 1: We got quite a few NFL games to pick for
- 21:31Speaker 1: week two. You know, will Eric's Cowboys bounce back? The
- 21:36Speaker 1: Giants got to go and face an angry Rams team
- 21:38Speaker 1: in L.A. Monday night football. And my Saints play in Baltimore.
- 21:44Speaker 1: So we're going to keep being patient with you.
- 21:46Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Nobody wants to be 0-2. Nobody wants to be 0-2.
- 21:52Speaker 1: So we're going to talk about that. Also, y'all know
- 21:54Speaker 1: what's coming up. The sports report.
- 21:59Speaker 2: Yes.
- 21:59Speaker 1: The Yankees have clinched a playoff berth. Yes, sir. Pete
- 22:03Speaker 1: Alonzo made an emotional return to city field. And the
- 22:05Speaker 1: Mets fans started cheering for Pete Alonzo. Damn. All right.
- 22:10Speaker 1: I found out the Mets.
- 22:11Speaker 6: Josh, I was going to say, did you say anything
- 22:14Speaker 6: about your guy, your Mets having an AI player?
- 22:16Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Sort of. He looks crazy. Oh, my gosh.
- 22:21Speaker 1: It's a boy looking like they... A Barbie Ken doll
- 22:25Speaker 1: wished to be a boy. And they came out with that.
- 22:28Speaker 1: How do you come out looking like that?
- 22:31Speaker 2: You just.
- 22:32Speaker 2: He really looks like artificial intelligence. I had to really look.
- 22:37Speaker 2: I was like, no, this is not AI.
- 22:42Speaker 1: It definitely... It's not often that somebody looks too generated
- 22:48Speaker 1: out of a computer. It creeps you out. But every
- 22:50Speaker 1: so often, you see people like that. And Mitch Voigt,
- 22:53Speaker 1: Mets prospect, definitely qualifies, like Corey said. The Knicks ticket
- 22:57Speaker 1: prices reached new heights. Obviously, the first banner night in
- 23:00Speaker 1: 53 years versus... LeBron James. I'm going to tell you
- 23:04Speaker 1: how much these tickets cost and y'all going to be like, ah, damn.
- 23:09Speaker 1: And then, of course, a deeper look into the NFL
- 23:11Speaker 1: opening week. That was when we come back. We're going
- 23:13Speaker 1: to take a break on this episode of the Recess
- 23:16Speaker 1: Bell on air. We will be back here on the
- 23:19Speaker 1: voice of Nassau Community College 90.3 WHPC. I might be
- 23:31Speaker 1: too strung out on compliments. Overdosed on confidence. Started not
- 23:35Speaker 1: to give a f * * * and stop fearing
- 23:37Speaker 1: the consequences. When they get my s * * *,
- 23:38Speaker 1: then play it. I ain't even gotta say it. They know.
- 23:42Speaker 2: They know, they know, they know.
- 23:45Speaker 1: They know, they know, they know. They know, they know,
- 23:50Speaker 1: they know. Yeah, they know, yeah. That the real is
- 23:54Speaker 1: on the rise. Them other guys, I even gave them
- 23:57Speaker 1: a chance to decide. Now it's something they know.
- 24:01Speaker 2: They know, they know, they know.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Corey, I got some news for you, right? I got
- 24:38Speaker 1: news for you. Um... I don't think you've ever beaten
- 25:05Speaker 1: me in a debate, like objectively. We never had a debate.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Me and you never had a debate. We never had
- 25:10Speaker 1: a debate. What are you talking about? People listen to
- 25:13Speaker 1: the show. You know people can hear us, right? You're
- 25:15Speaker 1: just lying now. I'm not lying.
- 25:18Speaker 6: Have we ever had an official debate?
- 25:21Speaker 1: What is an official debate? What makes a debate official?
- 25:26Speaker 6: That we have a subject that we both agree on,
- 25:29Speaker 6: that we can disagree on, that we both can eloquently
- 25:33Speaker 6: go back and forth.
- 25:34Speaker 1: All right, all right, all right. I get it, I
- 25:36Speaker 1: get it, I get it. Okay, so we don't have debates,
- 25:38Speaker 1: we have arguments. You've never beaten me in an argument.
- 25:41Speaker 1: How about that? That's debatable as well. That's debatable as well.
- 25:45Speaker 1: We got to go look at the footage. Did y'all
- 25:46Speaker 1: see what he did there? It's debatable.
- 25:49Speaker 6: Because if you notice, he said earlier in his show,
- 25:51Speaker 6: he had been rage baited multiple times, which means... You
- 25:55Speaker 6: clearly lost your emotions during that argument. Clearly, me and
- 25:58Speaker 6: guy won.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Just want to point that out. Your words, not mine. Corey,
- 26:02Speaker 1: what do you get out of it? Like, what does
- 26:04Speaker 1: it do for you? What does all this do for you?
- 26:07Speaker 1: Does it make you feel like the big man on campus? Like,
- 26:09Speaker 1: what's up? Nah, I don't need to feel like the
- 26:10Speaker 1: big man. I need to feel like the smartest.
- 26:13Speaker 6: When I find the Corey army on social media, you know,
- 26:16Speaker 6: just bags everything that I say.
- 26:18Speaker 1: It's going to be a good day. You know, Corey,
- 26:19Speaker 1: you share a lot of qualities with the MAGA clan.
- 26:22Speaker 1: You ever notice that? Y'all know what I'm talking about, right? Yeah.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Do I even have to say it?
- 26:27Speaker 6: The delusion tactics?
- 26:28Speaker 1: Yeah, it's crazy. I just want to point out that
- 26:31Speaker 1: some of those tactics apparently work down this one. How?
- 26:35Speaker 1: Who's the president right now? Do they not work?
- 26:39Speaker 2: So you're trying to make it work to your advantage.
- 26:42Speaker 6: You know what they say, just use the... I had
- 26:45Speaker 6: to close my throat. You know what they say, if
- 26:48Speaker 6: you see the tactics working, you got to use them.
- 26:50Speaker 6: You know, you see some tools, you got to use them.
- 26:53Speaker 6: And monkey see monkey do ass. Yo, get out of
- 26:56Speaker 6: here with that. Wait a second.
- 26:57Speaker 1: What did you just call me?
- 27:00Speaker 3: Oh, God.
- 27:00Speaker 1: What did you just call me? I think it's the
- 27:02Speaker 1: perfect time to hit the break. Don't even let him.
- 27:04Speaker 1: Cut his mic off. Cut his mic off. I feel
- 27:06Speaker 1: a lawsuit. Cut his f * * * ing mic.
- 27:16Speaker 1: My bad, bro. Can I just say something?
- 27:19Speaker 6: Yo, listening back to that, I was thinking, yo, every
- 27:23Speaker 6: time I hear these little clips when we come back,
- 27:26Speaker 6: I always think, that.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Past Corey, he was cold with it. He was cold
- 27:31Speaker 1: with it.
- 27:32Speaker 6: He laid out everything.
- 27:35Speaker 1: I couldn't disagree with him. See, that's what I can't
- 27:40Speaker 1: stand because Corey, you know, I respect Corey's pride in himself, right?
- 27:45Speaker 1: But I just think that you just take it a
- 27:47Speaker 1: little too far sometimes. Sometimes you trip out and it's
- 27:51Speaker 1: just like. Because I said it so confidently and boldly,
- 27:53Speaker 1: that means everything I'm saying is justified. I can't lie.
- 27:57Speaker 1: That boy was the peanut butter and the jelly. I
- 28:00Speaker 1: can't lie. When you hit him with that monkey line
- 28:04Speaker 1: and he rebutted, what you just called me? I lost.
- 28:09Speaker 1: I said, I didn't know you had that in you.
- 28:11Speaker 1: I didn't know he had that in him. So I
- 28:13Speaker 1: know Corey listens back to every episode very proud of himself. Just, yeah,
- 28:17Speaker 1: I got Josh there. oh i had that little one
- 28:20Speaker 1: line of the melanie or lay oh i feel good
- 28:23Speaker 1: about that when you're very you seem very proud of
- 28:25Speaker 1: past koi on these episodes not because you know.
- 28:27Speaker 6: What i've i got i let i let it i
- 28:30Speaker 6: let it i'll probably listen to it once and then
- 28:32Speaker 6: i gotta wait and then when you bring it back
- 28:33Speaker 6: up i'm like oh he was spitting he was spitting
- 28:36Speaker 6: that day he was spitting that day i.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Gotta use that again i gotta use that stuff again
- 28:40Speaker 1: i gotta use the material again is there anybody in
- 28:44Speaker 1: the room now that i think about it that um
- 28:47Speaker 1: Because most people, they get into a radio or they
- 28:50Speaker 1: do podcasts and they listen to the episodes back. And
- 28:53Speaker 1: the sound of their own voice is... Excuse me. I
- 28:56Speaker 1: declare my voice like old Corey. Like past Corey. My bad.
- 29:02Speaker 1: I hear this a lot where it's like, oh, I
- 29:04Speaker 1: hate the sound of my old voice. It's like nails
- 29:06Speaker 1: against a chalkboard. I can't lie. I started out like that.
- 29:10Speaker 1: But then over time, I was like, damn, you sound good.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Get in there and make it about you type stuff. Like, damn.
- 29:17Speaker 1: to use a great points good diction you feel me
- 29:21Speaker 1: like yeah so i want to ask like does anybody
- 29:24Speaker 1: still have the thing where it's like you listen back
- 29:26Speaker 1: to yourself and it's like yo i don't like i
- 29:28Speaker 1: don't like this.
- 29:28Speaker 6: I never had that in the great words of my
- 29:30Speaker 6: fate one of my favorite players tyra owens i love
- 29:33Speaker 6: me some me okay i can't get enough of me
- 29:38Speaker 6: i listen when i listen back i'm like I like
- 29:40Speaker 6: what I did there it's like I need to I'm
- 29:42Speaker 6: gonna go back and I'm probably gonna listen to back
- 29:43Speaker 6: what I said here.
- 29:46Speaker 1: You did the darn thing what about you Leigh what
- 29:50Speaker 1: you think.
- 29:51Speaker 5: I definitely look listen back and like look at myself
- 29:54Speaker 5: in the mirror like you know I am that bitch yeah.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Yup yup that's what I'm talking about I do my
- 30:01Speaker 1: jokes be my jokes do.
- 30:03Speaker 5: Be landing not gonna lie most.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Of them be directed towards Corey not gonna lie Eric
- 30:09Speaker 1: feels too.
- 30:10Speaker 2: Nah I'm still trying to get there like where I
- 30:14Speaker 2: can hear my own voice and I won't cringe.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Cause there's certain times where I'll hear my own voice
- 30:18Speaker 1: and I'll be like ugh why do.
- 30:20Speaker 2: I sound like that but then there's there's certain times
- 30:23Speaker 2: where I hear myself during my own show sincerely timeless
- 30:26Speaker 2: and I'll be like Oh yeah, that boy cold.
- 30:28Speaker 1: That boy killed that one. Yeah, it comes and goes.
- 30:33Speaker 1: And back to like Lay said, if you made a
- 30:36Speaker 1: good point or you capped it off, put the exclamation
- 30:40Speaker 1: point on it, put the cherry on top, so to speak. Yeah, man.
- 30:44Speaker 1: That just goes to show you. TRB on there. We
- 30:46Speaker 1: love us some us. So, you know, we practice a
- 30:49Speaker 1: lot of self-love here and I think we all should
- 30:52Speaker 1: do the same. We got some mental health conversation coming
- 30:56Speaker 1: up later in the show. But yeah, we got to
- 30:59Speaker 1: circle back to the news report. We brought up some
- 31:05Speaker 1: of the topics earlier. Let me tell you something here.
- 31:08Speaker 1: We brought up September 10th, 2025, right? The Kirkening. We
- 31:13Speaker 1: brought up the 25th anniversary of September 11th, 2001. But
- 31:19Speaker 1: since that point, I always wonder what's going to land
- 31:22Speaker 1: on my desk when it comes to some of these stories. So,
- 31:27Speaker 1: On this past show, we got friends at a show
- 31:29Speaker 1: up here. We got Mitch McConnell, Kentucky Senator, finally returning
- 31:34Speaker 1: to Congress for one day.
- 31:37Speaker 6: Yo, they wheeled him out and put him in the car,
- 31:41Speaker 6: dazed and confused. Him just blank staring and smiling in
- 31:44Speaker 6: front of his face. I've seen somebody post what's really
- 31:48Speaker 6: behind his face. You ever watch Men in Black when
- 31:50Speaker 6: they had the little scene where it's like, They removed
- 31:52Speaker 6: the face, and it was the little alien in his head.
- 31:56Speaker 6: It's like, who really behind this? I said, they're not
- 32:01Speaker 6: fooling nobody. Ain't nothing going on upstairs. Since we're bringing
- 32:05Speaker 6: up movies, Weekend at Bernie's.
- 32:07Speaker 1: Yes. This is good. Hold on. Wait, wait, wait. You
- 32:11Speaker 1: watch Weekend at Bernie's? I ain't never seen that. Huh?
- 32:15Speaker 1: Here we go. Corey, I can't do it if Joshua
- 32:20Speaker 1: don't watch movies with you right now. I was just saying,
- 32:23Speaker 1: you watch Weekend at Bernie's, but you didn't watch Friday?
- 32:27Speaker 1: I watched Friday. Yo, I watched Friday. What you talking about?
- 32:30Speaker 1: I watched all three movies, bro. Yeah, because I introduced
- 32:34Speaker 1: you to him. I introduced you to him. You did
- 32:37Speaker 1: not introduce me to Friday.
- 32:40Speaker 6: When I first introduced him to Friday, he was like,
- 32:43Speaker 6: This is crazy. I've never seen these movies before in
- 32:45Speaker 6: my life.
- 32:47Speaker 1: This guy is lying. Just as we bring a politician,
- 32:50Speaker 1: you lying like a politician right now.
- 32:53Speaker 6: You throwing these accusations on me.
- 32:56Speaker 1: I would never lie. I would never lie. I'll tell
- 32:59Speaker 1: you one thing. I'll tell you this. Boys in the Hood,
- 33:03Speaker 1: I'm still working on it. Still working on it.
- 33:07Speaker 3: What? What?
- 33:08Speaker 1: Nah, I'm just playing. I know all about the saxophones
- 33:11Speaker 1: and Ricky. Yeah, I know a little bit about it.
- 33:15Speaker 1: A little bit about it. A little bit about it.
- 33:17Speaker 6: He know almost the whole plot just through Twitter.
- 33:22Speaker 1: TikTok actually, Corey. Oh, TikTok. Social media apps, right? My bad.
- 33:28Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Don't try to play me. Also, President Trump. Y'all know
- 33:35Speaker 1: that meme? Another $ 2 billion to Israel. he actually did
- 33:40Speaker 1: it for real. He actually did that for real today. Also,
- 33:46Speaker 1: Kash Patel.
- 33:47Speaker 6: That's wild. When you sent us a message, ain't no way, boy.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Let me just say, I don't like what we got
- 34:01Speaker 1: to talk about with Kash Patel.
- 34:03Speaker 6: I don't know how else to phrase that. We need
- 34:06Speaker 6: the Cash Patel files leaked immediately.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Nah, we sure do. So let's get it. The TRB
- 34:16Speaker 1: News Report. Sounds like a lot of hoopla! Hoopla! Sounds
- 34:25Speaker 1: like a hoopla!
- 34:32Speaker 3: This is the Recess Bells News Report brought to you
- 34:35Speaker 3: by the Recess Bell LLC, the network for creatives. The
- 34:39Speaker 3: voices you are about to hear are not those of
- 34:40Speaker 3: official political analysts, rather just football sitting in a room
- 34:41Speaker 3: discussing politics just like you would at the family table
- 34:43Speaker 3: or with your friends. Please do not hold the voices
- 34:44Speaker 3: you are about to hear to the same standard as
- 34:45Speaker 3: you would official commentators and contributors on CNN, MSNBC, Fox News,
- 34:48Speaker 3: or any other licensed news company.
- 34:52Speaker 1: The Recess Bell News Report. If you happen to miss
- 34:55Speaker 1: that disclaimer, let me just say, if anything that these
- 35:00Speaker 1: four goofballs in the room tell you, Offends you. Listen,
- 35:05Speaker 1: I'm a busy guy. I got a lot going on,
- 35:07Speaker 1: as everybody knows. So if you try to email the
- 35:09Speaker 1: recess bell or send an angry DM to the recess
- 35:12Speaker 1: bell IG page, y'all should learn what y'all talking about.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Just relax. I'm probably not going to see it. I
- 35:19Speaker 1: have a lot to do. I have a lot to
- 35:20Speaker 1: get to. I'm probably going to see it. Maybe I
- 35:23Speaker 1: might glance at it, but I'll ignore it. What you
- 35:25Speaker 1: really want to do, take your complaints to the recess bell,
- 35:27Speaker 1: excuse me, at WHPC. Yeah, don't do that. Like I
- 35:30Speaker 1: just said, WHPC at ncc.edu. Our dedicated station director will
- 35:36Speaker 1: field all of your complaints on our behalf.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Do you think we've ever gotten in a complaint?
- 35:42Speaker 1: Right. Oh, I've seen a couple.
- 35:44Speaker 2: Oh, really?
- 35:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I've seen a couple. I didn't think we would
- 35:48Speaker 1: get a complaint. Eric, they never call up and just,
- 35:52Speaker 1: you know. rip into us it's always through the back.
- 35:54Speaker 2: Channels now but you know what i'll never forget that
- 35:57Speaker 2: one caller that night you know my guy my guy
- 36:00Speaker 2: with the butt light.
- 36:00Speaker 7: What's up son yo yeah i was like yo you
- 36:06Speaker 7: calling me son with your whole chest you about you
- 36:09Speaker 7: three degrees away from calling me.
- 36:11Speaker 1: Boy fcc airwaves all like relax wow.
- 36:16Speaker 2: I'll never forget that one that was a crazy one That.
- 36:19Speaker 1: Was one of them early TRB moments, too. That was
- 36:22Speaker 1: one of the names on the map. That seems like, oh,
- 36:26Speaker 1: so what's your choice of drink? The Budweiser? Yeah. I know.
- 36:36Speaker 1: I felt like, you know, radio is a beautiful thing.
- 36:39Speaker 1: You have callers call up and you talk to them
- 36:41Speaker 1: for one minute. You feel like you know them their
- 36:43Speaker 1: entire life. I'm like, I know what you like to drink.
- 36:46Speaker 1: I know exactly what you like to drink. Onwards, though,
- 36:51Speaker 1: let's get to the Recess Bell News Report. Yes, this
- 37:09Speaker 1: past Thursday, the first... Let me be serious. This past Thursday,
- 37:16Speaker 1: the first annual Kirkiversary. Yes, yes, yes. September 10th, 2025,
- 37:21Speaker 1: Turning Point USA CEO and conservative political podcaster Charles James
- 37:29Speaker 1: Kirk gunned down in front of a big-ass crowd at
- 37:32Speaker 1: Utah Valley University. Now, we remember. Let's go back down
- 37:36Speaker 1: memory lane for a second. Republicans held a memorial for
- 37:41Speaker 1: Charles James Kirk, the late great, at Arizona State Farm Stadium.
- 37:47Speaker 1: And if you remember, man, it was... Anybody that talked
- 37:51Speaker 1: down on the great name of Charles James Kirk. They
- 37:55Speaker 1: lost a job. Some of them got doxxed. Remember that word,
- 37:58Speaker 1: by the way, doxxed. Going circle back to that. And just, yo,
- 38:01Speaker 1: it was getting people fired. Now, that trend was short-lived.
- 38:04Speaker 1: And remember what I said during the intro. When you
- 38:07Speaker 1: were sitting in class and your boy was next to
- 38:09Speaker 1: you and the teacher was like, if anybody got more
- 38:12Speaker 1: to say and y'all laugh at what y'all not supposed
- 38:14Speaker 1: to laugh at, I'm kicking y'all out the class. And
- 38:16Speaker 1: you look to your boy and you just, you can't,
- 38:18Speaker 1: you can't continue. that is how I described the Charles
- 38:23Speaker 1: James Kirk AI memes that we discussed earlier not to
- 38:26Speaker 1: mention the grieving or as I like to call it
- 38:28Speaker 1: the grifting widow Erica Kirk just what's that movie name
- 38:35Speaker 1: everywhere all at once everywhere anywhere all at once something
- 38:40Speaker 1: like that that won like an Oscar that's what Erica
- 38:42Speaker 1: Kirk like she went from quiet she did it in
- 38:45Speaker 1: reverse she went from quiet wife to loud widow It's
- 38:50Speaker 1: supposed to be the other way around. She just flipped it.
- 38:53Speaker 2: Yeah, because I had no idea who she was before. Like,
- 38:56Speaker 2: I didn't even know that the guy was married.
- 38:59Speaker 1: I had no idea.
- 39:00Speaker 2: Yeah, just married. He had kids, you know, and then
- 39:03Speaker 2: all of a sudden she's going on tour, like literally
- 39:06Speaker 2: going on tour, like celebrating his death.
- 39:10Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. If I'm if I if
- 39:12Speaker 1: I die in my in my my widow over there
- 39:16Speaker 1: hugging on JD fans with the leather pants, I am
- 39:18Speaker 1: haunting you. I am haunting everybody. Take them leather pants off, girl.
- 39:23Speaker 1: You know that's only for me. What were you hugging
- 39:25Speaker 1: on the vice president for? Damn, cold world. Wow.
- 39:30Speaker 2: I was just like, you know, like, just imagine what
- 39:33Speaker 2: he's trying to do to get back right now. Like,
- 39:36Speaker 2: just imagine what he's been trying to do.
- 39:38Speaker 1: Not even with his wife. Just like all the art
- 39:41Speaker 1: that Corey likes to call it.
- 39:43Speaker 2: Just imagine, like, he's being like, He's probably somewhere, like,
- 39:48Speaker 2: I don't know if he's up or down.
- 39:49Speaker 1: Nobody knows, right? But he's just probably like, yo, like,
- 39:52Speaker 1: I gotta find a way back.
- 39:53Speaker 2: Like, he's probably, you know, had conversations with, you know,
- 39:58Speaker 2: either God or, you know, the man downstairs.
- 40:01Speaker 1: Like, yo, you gotta find me a way back. Like,
- 40:03Speaker 1: you know what he's trying to do? It's like Lil' Nicky.
- 40:07Speaker 1: You ever seen Lil' Nicky? Yeah. That's what he's trying
- 40:09Speaker 1: to do. He's trying to get his way back like
- 40:11Speaker 1: Lil' Nicky. Josh, have you ever seen Nicky? Lil' Nicky?
- 40:15Speaker 1: Here we go. That's not a black movie. That's not
- 40:20Speaker 1: a black movie. Duh, it's not a black movie.
- 40:23Speaker 6: Nah, that was one of Adam Sandler's best movies of
- 40:28Speaker 6: all time.
- 40:28Speaker 1: To me, personally. Like, I grew up on it. Shout
- 40:32Speaker 1: out Adam Sandler. Shout out Adam Sandler, Corey. Shout out
- 40:36Speaker 1: him in some aspects, you know.
- 40:39Speaker 6: I feel like he might align with something that we.
- 40:42Speaker 1: Might not be agreeing with at this current climate. Oh, yeah.
- 40:49Speaker 1: His favorite football owner might be Robert Kraft at this moment.
- 40:51Speaker 1: I'm not sure. Ah, yeah. Corey, wasn't your part owner
- 40:57Speaker 1: on the Epstein Files?
- 40:59Speaker 2: Ooh.
- 41:01Speaker 1: I'm just asking a question. Yikes. Hey, don't make me
- 41:04Speaker 1: get into Gail Benson. All right. Yeah, I know your owner, too.
- 41:08Speaker 6: All right.
- 41:09Speaker 1: I know your owner, too. You want to go tit
- 41:12Speaker 1: for tat? I don't.
- 41:14Speaker 3: I don't.
- 41:16Speaker 1: You see how he ain't know I knew that? Yeah.
- 41:20Speaker 6: Bye.
- 41:23Speaker 1: Leave Lady Gail alone, Corey. But that just goes to
- 41:26Speaker 1: show you, billionaires, not good people at all. No. Speaking of,
- 41:33Speaker 1: you know what I'm going to say? I didn't want
- 41:34Speaker 1: to say, I'm going to say, as it regards to 9-11. Yo,
- 41:37Speaker 1: so many lucky billionaires just forgot to show up to
- 41:39Speaker 1: work that day. That's all I'm saying, though. Terrible day,
- 41:44Speaker 1: of course. September 11th, 2001. Planes struck the North and
- 41:48Speaker 1: South Tower of the World Trade Center. Twin towers, 15
- 41:52Speaker 1: minutes apart. Planes later struck the Pentagon. One was headed
- 41:56Speaker 1: for Capitol Hill, but passengers on the plane got out
- 42:00Speaker 1: of there and were able to redirect it. Building 7
- 42:04Speaker 1: of the World Trade Center also collapsed later that afternoon.
- 42:07Speaker 1: Why I brought that up, I'm just reporting the facts.
- 42:10Speaker 3: So we.
- 42:11Speaker 1: John. Yes, Corey. How old were you when 9-11 happened?
- 42:15Speaker 1: I was, uh, four years and 15 days old. That's crazy. So,
- 42:22Speaker 1: I think, were we, me and you the only ones
- 42:24Speaker 1: that were alive around that time? Y'all weren't alive, right?
- 42:27Speaker 2: No.
- 42:27Speaker 1: No. What are you trying to say?
- 42:29Speaker 6: Nah, I'm not, no, I was genuinely asking because I
- 42:31Speaker 6: do not, I'm not going to, I'm one of the
- 42:33Speaker 6: people that was like, I was, I was, I was
- 42:36Speaker 6: up there.
- 42:38Speaker 2: But, Josh, you remember it. Like, do you remember it? I, All.
- 42:43Speaker 1: I remember was getting sent home from school early. And
- 42:47Speaker 1: when I got back, my parents was glued to the TV.
- 42:50Speaker 1: That's all Lil Josh remembers from that day.
- 42:53Speaker 6: I don't want to sound dumb, but I'm going to
- 42:56Speaker 6: say something stupid. Yeah, I don't remember nothing from that day.
- 42:59Speaker 6: You don't remember anything?
- 43:02Speaker 1: Yeah, literally. Literally, I think I found out about 9-11
- 43:05Speaker 1: probably like. A couple years after that.
- 43:08Speaker 2: What?
- 43:08Speaker 1: That's insane, bro.
- 43:10Speaker 3: Wow.
- 43:10Speaker 1: How old were you? Like eight? How old were you? Wow. Bro,
- 43:16Speaker 1: you were. Nah, you was like eight. Yeah, you were
- 43:19Speaker 1: like seven, eight. Corey. That's crazy, bro. Wow. I was
- 43:26Speaker 1: about seven. I was about seven.
- 43:29Speaker 2: I can't believe that. That's ridiculous.
- 43:32Speaker 6: Because it was not something like in my life that
- 43:36Speaker 6: I was like, That affected me. I was like, I
- 43:40Speaker 6: don't know anything about it. So I was like, maybe
- 43:42Speaker 6: like the year after when we had to study about it.
- 43:45Speaker 6: They told us about it or something like that. I
- 43:46Speaker 6: may have learned about it. But in that moment, I
- 43:49Speaker 6: couldn't tell you anything.
- 43:51Speaker 1: Was your TV on? Actually, I think the only thing
- 43:53Speaker 1: I remember about... I don't know if it was during
- 43:57Speaker 1: that time, but.
- 43:59Speaker 1: I remember.
- 44:00Speaker 6: anthrax was like big around that time and I was
- 44:03Speaker 6: like people scared to eat certain like certain things because
- 44:07Speaker 6: it was like possibly you know might be anthrax there
- 44:11Speaker 6: that's about it that's all I can remember Corey was
- 44:15Speaker 6: learning all about the evils of the world anthrax hurricane
- 44:18Speaker 6: Katrina I was Kanye hopping on MTV saying George Bush
- 44:22Speaker 6: don't care about black people that was the era Corey
- 44:24Speaker 6: grew up in I was blissfully ignorant you know the
- 44:26Speaker 6: yo if I tell you about that if I tell
- 44:30Speaker 6: you I was like, yo, this is a couple years.
- 44:33Speaker 1: It may be like, again, same scenario. I was like,
- 44:38Speaker 1: that's why Kanye West said that? You didn't know about Katrina? No.
- 44:44Speaker 1: I just knew.
- 44:45Speaker 6: I wasn't watching news like that. I was like, oh, snap.
- 44:48Speaker 6: They had a very crazy hurricane out there.
- 44:52Speaker 2: Wait.
- 44:52Speaker 1: Katrina was 2006, right?
- 44:54Speaker 2: Yes.
- 44:55Speaker 1: At that time, you was what?
- 44:56Speaker 6: 13?
- 44:58Speaker 1: Yes. Oh, my God. Yo, y'all wasn't in school like, yo,
- 45:05Speaker 1: y'all heard about that hurricane? That was crazy. Like, you
- 45:07Speaker 1: had to be at that age to talk about that
- 45:10Speaker 1: and nobody. Obviously not knowing about Katrina. Corey, that's insane.
- 45:17Speaker 1: That's insane, bro.
- 45:18Speaker 6: I knew about Katrina, obviously, but it wasn't like something
- 45:21Speaker 6: where I was glued to the TV like that.
- 45:24Speaker 1: Yeah, he heard about Katrina.
- 45:26Speaker 2: He was like, dang, who's this girl Katrina?
- 45:27Speaker 1: No, no, I was not.
- 45:30Speaker 6: I've just seen maybe like a couple of videos on
- 45:33Speaker 6: the news. Because, you know, after you watch certain TV programs,
- 45:36Speaker 6: the news comes up. And they just say, okay, people
- 45:39Speaker 6: are on their roofs and stuff. And it's getting bad
- 45:41Speaker 6: out there. I think there's situations where it's like... You know,
- 45:45Speaker 6: people need a rescue, and then I heard about them
- 45:47Speaker 6: staying in the.
- 45:49Speaker 1: What's the dome out there?
- 45:51Speaker 2: The.
- 45:52Speaker 1: Superdome. The Superdome.
- 45:53Speaker 6: I heard about people staying in there and things going
- 45:55Speaker 6: on in the Superdome. That's to the extent of my knowledge.
- 45:59Speaker 1: I ain't gonna hold you. This is... I was more...
- 46:06Speaker 1: That's bad. This took a crazy turn. I'm not gonna lie.
- 46:09Speaker 1: I'm still on the fact that you don't remember 9-11.
- 46:11Speaker 1: He does remember. He's old.
- 46:13Speaker 5: I was like, when I was seven, the whole thing
- 46:15Speaker 5: happened with the Haiti earthquake, and I remember that. And
- 46:20Speaker 5: we had to talk about it in class.
- 46:22Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, I remember that, too.
- 46:23Speaker 6: I don't remember certain details about my childhood.
- 46:27Speaker 1: It's hazy. Everything else is hazy. Certain details. Certain details. Yeah.
- 46:32Speaker 4: 9-9-11, though.
- 46:33Speaker 6: Uh-huh.
- 46:34Speaker 1: Yeah, not 9-11. All the movies you want to clown
- 46:36Speaker 1: me about, you remember those. He was parking for the
- 46:40Speaker 1: TV for the movies.
- 46:41Speaker 6: You know what this reminds me of? When my mom
- 46:44Speaker 6: used to say, you know all those songs on the radio,
- 46:47Speaker 6: but you don't know your homework.
- 46:48Speaker 1: Yeah. I was one of those kids. You still one
- 46:52Speaker 1: of them kids. Yeah. Moving on, a Kentucky Senator, Mitch McConnell,
- 47:00Speaker 1: friend of the show. That's our buddy old pal up to, man.
- 47:03Speaker 1: He finally returned to Congress. This man was not seen
- 47:07Speaker 1: for nearly three months outside of one photo in a
- 47:11Speaker 1: hospital bed with his wife. Remember that? Here I am.
- 47:15Speaker 1: Today's newspaper. Yeah. So timeline. June 14th, McConnell suffered a
- 47:22Speaker 1: fall at his home, left him briefly unconscious, later hospitalized.
- 47:27Speaker 1: Three weeks following that, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear was like,
- 47:31Speaker 1: proof of life, por favor. We're getting concerned. July 12th,
- 47:35Speaker 1: that's when McConnell's office dropped that photo of him and
- 47:39Speaker 1: his wife. I'm alive, damn it. And then he wasn't
- 47:41Speaker 1: seen for another two months. Until yesterday, police surrounded McConnell's home.
- 47:48Speaker 1: He was wheeled out in a wheelchair into one of
- 47:51Speaker 1: them black cars to return the Senate. Man, it was
- 47:54Speaker 1: over here posting video of Mitch McConnell in this car
- 47:57Speaker 1: looking like a mannequin, looking like a wax figure. So
- 48:01Speaker 1: what you could say is he pulled the Kim Jong-un.
- 48:05Speaker 4: Yeah, man.
- 48:05Speaker 1: It was, they was posting memes. Just him looking straight
- 48:07Speaker 1: ahead and how you act when you cut somebody off,
- 48:10Speaker 1: but don't want to look them in the eye. Yo,
- 48:15Speaker 1: I was like, what we doing? So they, they wheel
- 48:19Speaker 1: him into the Senate. And this is per CNN anchor,
- 48:23Speaker 1: Manu Raju reporting McConnell statement, because for some reason they
- 48:27Speaker 1: didn't want to, um, let reporters take video of Mitch McConnell. Just,
- 48:32Speaker 1: you know, prepared statement. So here it is. Quote, I
- 48:36Speaker 1: must admit, after two years, two decades after dodging your questions,
- 48:39Speaker 1: I wasn't sure how many of you would be here today,
- 48:42Speaker 1: but I'm glad to see you. Time to get back
- 48:44Speaker 1: to work, finish this job for the Congress. I'm here
- 48:48Speaker 1: to work on the farm bill. End quote. He didn't
- 48:52Speaker 1: answer any questions. Ah, so you go today. Breaking. This
- 48:58Speaker 1: is pretty insider wire breaking. Mitch McConnell is missing again
- 49:05Speaker 1: after failing to show up for today's vote. Bro, he
- 49:08Speaker 1: just said yesterday he was going to work on the
- 49:10Speaker 1: farm bill. Today he absent on the farm bill. Damn, kid.
- 49:15Speaker 1: What is going on there?
- 49:16Speaker 2: Maybe you remember for that.
- 49:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 49:20Speaker 1: You know what happens. You know, he's at that age now. Yeah,
- 49:24Speaker 1: you know, I don't want to put no dementia allegations
- 49:26Speaker 1: on him, but it's still not at his sharpest. It
- 49:30Speaker 1: happens when you get older. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Moving on.
- 49:35Speaker 1: More money to Israel. Yes, President Trump approving a $ 2. 8
- 49:41Speaker 1: billion arms sale to Israel, including 4,000 one-ton bombs. Yo,
- 49:50Speaker 1: it's like on Amazon, like, ordering 40,000 one-ton bombs. Like,
- 49:55Speaker 1: what you need all that for? What you planning to
- 49:58Speaker 1: do with that?
- 50:00Speaker 4: Bombs?
- 50:02Speaker 1: Yeah, crazy. Yeah, here are 40,000 bombs. Here you go.
- 50:07Speaker 1: what nice doing business with you oh man shout out spongebob.
- 50:14Speaker 3: Oh these aren't homemade they were made in a factory
- 50:16Speaker 3: a bomb factory they're bombs.
- 50:20Speaker 1: Exclusive exclusive audio negotiations oh man now uh we'll get
- 50:27Speaker 1: to this in the to kick off the next hour
- 50:29Speaker 1: but i i because i have to reserve time for
- 50:32Speaker 1: uh cash patella so here's what happened just real quick
- 50:37Speaker 1: This will be a nice lead into our number two.
- 50:40Speaker 1: Anybody know what? Everyone knows what bestiality is, right?
- 50:44Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 50:45Speaker 1: Okay. So Cash Patel, he updated the FBI disqualifiers. Like
- 50:52Speaker 1: what's going to disqualify you from working for the FBI?
- 50:55Speaker 1: He removed bestiality as one of the disqualifiers. Meaning if
- 51:00Speaker 1: you had relations with any type of animals, you know what?
- 51:04Speaker 1: We can take you for the interview. Maybe you can
- 51:06Speaker 1: explain it. Maybe you had an excuse. Maybe you had
- 51:10Speaker 1: a good reason.
- 51:11Speaker 6: No.
- 51:13Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 51:14Speaker 1: A good reason. Wow. Don't know about that one, Chief. Yeah,
- 51:20Speaker 1: we'll come back and discuss that and the Lindsay Clancy
- 51:23Speaker 1: trial in the aftermath and the sports report. TRB Game
- 51:26Speaker 1: Picks loaded. Hour number two. We come back. TRB on
- 51:29Speaker 1: air here on the voice of Nassau Community College. 90.3 WHPC.
- 51:43Speaker 1: I don't wish you no bad luck, baby. Don't wish
- 51:48Speaker 1: you no strength.
- 51:50Speaker 2: I only want to expose your life to.
- 51:53Speaker 1: The finer things.
- 51:56Speaker 5: Whatever you want, girl.
- 52:02Speaker 1: Whatever you need. Whatever you need me. Girl, I will
- 52:10Speaker 1: be right there for you.
- 52:13Speaker 6: Whenever you need me, just call.
- 52:17Speaker 1: Whatever you want, girl.
- 52:19Speaker 6: Whenever you need me.
