- 0:00That means NASCAR is realizing that they're a redneck Southern
- 0:04base sport, and Earnhardt's my man.
- 0:10I like his daddy. Earnhardt.
- 0:15Earnhardt. That means they're gonna lean
- 0:18into that now. Happy Saturday morning.
- 0:23Everybody looking there? Louis the legend.
- 0:27He's looking for his deer. We got all these woods here and
- 0:31the deer come running up there and it just and there's Lucy,
- 0:35Louie, Lucy out on the out on the town.
- 0:41All right, so we are going to talk about a NASCAR article that
- 0:49has rocked the NASCAR nation. Has all the haters mad.
- 0:56Has all the haters mad? This article talks about how
- 1:00good NASCAR's doing, and boy, it just.
- 1:03It's got them all. It ain't true.
- 1:06NASCAR's not good. They scream.
- 1:11Just fix the car, damn it. So let's talk about it.
- 1:17Adam Stern. OK, we're talking about Adam
- 1:20Stern. Remember, it's from my reminder.
- 1:25I only talk about what's in the news.
- 1:28OK, so here we go. As reported by Adam Stern.
- 1:34I printed. I printed them off.
- 1:37I just printed them right off the article.
- 1:39There's one, and then here's the other one.
- 1:45OK, now I'm going to read these to you.
- 1:47They're they're going to be short and sweet, but this has
- 1:50really upset the haters. Here we go.
- 1:55NASCAR is doubling down on its brand amid momentum for the
- 2:00sport. NASCAR Cup Series broadcast
- 2:04average 2.7 million views per minute.
- 2:11I've never heard it put that way. 2.7 million views per
- 2:17minute, the highest among US Motorsports properties.
- 2:22Well, I've always said that and and you've always agreed.
- 2:28I mean, NASCAR is the biggest Motorsports in America by far.
- 2:32That's not even an argument. Ticket sales are up 6% over the
- 2:41year. Well, I mean, that makes sense
- 2:43when you look at the crowds. The crowds are bigger this year
- 2:47than they are last year. I mean, you can just see that.
- 2:51Here's another one. Digital platform visits have
- 2:55grown 10%. Now that's worth talking about
- 3:00because right now what I'm doing is digital.
- 3:03That means all of us are are on social media, the Internet,
- 3:10viewing NASCAR, and that's up 10%.
- 3:15And social followers now total 18,000,000 across platforms.
- 3:22That means 18 million people are paying attention to NASCAR
- 3:29across the social media platforms.
- 3:32That's a lot of people. An increase of 1.5 million since
- 3:39the start of this year. That means 1.5 millionaire now
- 3:43tuned into NASCAR according to the brand.
- 3:49So that is right here. OK, that's right there.
- 3:56All right, now here, here's the controversial part.
- 4:02And I and I like this, by the way.
- 4:05We're not changing the DNA of how we show up, Hilder.
- 4:12HILDERI don't know who Hilder is.
- 4:16We're not changing the DNA of how we show up, Hilder said.
- 4:20It's just time to lean into it harder Now.
- 4:26Let me tell you what that means. That means I'm going to dumb it
- 4:30down for you. That means NASCAR is realizing
- 4:35that they're a redneck Southern base sport and Earnhardt's my
- 4:41man. I locked his daddy Earnhardt.
- 4:47Earnhardt that means they're going to lean into that now and
- 4:52I like that. I like that because I'll admit
- 4:56it, I feel like in the last 6-8, ten years, all, not just NASCAR,
- 5:05but all companies were following this new societal shift, if you
- 5:12know what I mean. Respond right here.
- 5:14I'm not going there. It's like whoever the president
- 5:18of the United States is, that's the way all companies and
- 5:23sports. It's what they follow.
- 5:26It is of my opinion now that Trump is the president.
- 5:31Now, everybody, if you know what I mean by what you saw with
- 5:34Cracker Barrel and now NASCAR, and Steve O'Donnell is now the
- 5:40president. OK, that's just a little
- 5:43innuendo. Steve O'Donnell is a badass.
- 5:47He's one of us, if you know what I mean.
- 5:51So it sounds like NASCAR is going back to its roots now.
- 5:58I, I, I commented on this over a month ago.
- 6:02I did remember when I said, remember when I said Charlie
- 6:06Mullen put that video out and I said that's embarrassing.
- 6:10You should apologize, NASCAR. Remember that video?
- 6:14That's the video where NASCAR admitted that they got away from
- 6:18their base and they're going to go back to them.
- 6:21Well, this article admits it. Now they're going to do it and
- 6:26they've hired a company to start doing this next year, 2026.
- 6:33OK, now this company must be called 72 and Sunny.
- 6:39Just a a kind of a different name.
- 6:41Let's let let me show you what it is see right there 72 and
- 6:46sunny OK for 72 and sunny the NASCAR win comes on heels of
- 6:54assignment Oh, 72 and sunny. They they won this NASCAR looked
- 7:03for like they found 12 companies.
- 7:05Well, 72 and sunny they're crate.
- 7:08They are a creative agency from Los Angeles right here.
- 7:12See right there. OK.
- 7:15They want they won this job. They're coming after us
- 7:20rednecks. They're they're they're going to
- 7:22try to make us rednecks happy again.
- 7:27I'm breaking this down for y'all for 72 and Sunny.
- 7:31The NASCAR win comes on the heels of assignment.
- 7:34So they they won something with CarMax, Mass Mutual and Panera
- 7:39Bread and adds to its roster of sports clients, including the
- 7:44NFL. Convergence estimates the
- 7:47NASCAR's 2024 offline and digital marketing spend 37
- 7:53million. That means NASCAR is has spent
- 7:57$37 million on digital marketing.
- 8:01In other words, NASCAR is spent $37 million promoting their
- 8:07sport on so on on digital marketing, digital marketing
- 8:13right here. They spent 37 million
- 8:15advertising their sport. All right, what's my opinion on
- 8:20all this? I think it's fantastic and I
- 8:24already see the haters coming out.
- 8:26They're mad. They're mad that NASCAR is
- 8:30righting or wrong. I I love this.
- 8:32This is fan in tastic. It is fantastic.
- 8:38I've said everything I wanted to say.
- 8:41I've read it all. I think it's awesome.
- 8:44Respond right here. The racing has been awesome and
- 8:49as as far as if if you've made it this far in the video, as far
- 8:53as changing the points in the car and all that, well, they're
- 8:58they're doing a little bit at a time.
- 9:01Next year the championship chase is going to end in Miami
- 9:05Homestead. That's a change and I think the
- 9:08media knows some things. I think we're going to, I really
- 9:11firmly believe that instead of it coming down to one race for
- 9:16the championship, I think what Mark Martin's going to get, Mark
- 9:19Martin's not going to get a 36 race championship.
- 9:22What he is going to get, he's probably going to get a three or
- 9:25four race scenario where they they go, OK, the championship
- 9:30has been whittled down. These four drivers are going to
- 9:33run the next three or four races.
- 9:35I think we're going to determine a champion in the next 3 or 4
- 9:39races. They're going to take 3 or 4
- 9:42races. They're going to take 3 or 4
- 9:44races next year maybe to determine the championship.
- 9:48So I I see great things. I think they're meeting you
- 9:52halfway and NASCAR's the best. I just read you all the stats.
- 9:58All right, I will be leaving for Bristol here in a little bit.
- 10:03Oh my God, my coffee cup. Hey, a little break.
- 10:08I will be headed to the airport. John Scotone, we are delayed a
- 10:12little bit. He's coming out of a storm out
- 10:15of Chicago. If you, if you look, if you look
- 10:17on weather bug right now, there's rain storms above
- 10:21Chicago. John's coming out of Chicago
- 10:23right now with his SR22 and I look all over America and that's
- 10:29the only place there's rain right over my buddy John
- 10:33Scootoni. So he'll bring his SR22 down
- 10:35here. We will land in in Bristol no
- 10:40later than 2:00. I'll be there 2 hours early.
- 10:43See you all at Trackstat live at 4:00 and we're going to have a
- 10:47good time. Everybody respond right here.
