• 1:45
Speaker 2: Anything else you want to share, my dear friend.
• 1:48
  Speaker 3: You know what?
• 1:49
Speaker 3: First of all, thank you for having me back.
• 1:50
Speaker 3: I had the privilege and honor, of course, of helping you launch this baby and I'm so proud of you and everything that you've done, especially the light that you shine on the audience, that you do and their families, and the way that that you are kind of like a beacon for them just to to be able to heal, and I think that's the most important part.
• 2:13
Speaker 3: You know, it's like you've got this much time on this earth and I love what you and Susan are doing.
• 2:19
  Speaker 3: It's like amazing.
• 2:20
Speaker 3: So, thank you so much.
• 2:22
  Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely.
• 2:23
  Speaker 2: Absolutely so.
• 2:26
Speaker 2: Um, cindy, why don't you tell us, uh, for people that you know didn't see the very first episode, um, or hear it, for that matter, on the podcast forums?
• 2:33
Speaker 2: Um, what, what drew you into this realm?
• 2:37
  Speaker 2: To?
• 2:38
Speaker 2: To help people with the, uh, the victory network and, and, of course, your, your coaching programs?
• 2:43
Speaker 3: Yeah, so you know what it's.
• 2:45
  Speaker 3: It's interesting.
• 2:46
Speaker 3: I have always kind of been that, that girl.
• 2:51
Speaker 3: You know, I I grew up in a really amazing family and my father, as you know you know, was military as well and and army and and I I lived around bases and you know, in Hawaii, like, please, there's a way around, there's bases everywhere on Oahu, you know.
• 3:09
Speaker 3: But what I would say is is that you know, I grew up watching my parents really just have what I would say you know I'm Hawaiian and Sicilian, but have aloha for others, like really have love.
• 3:21
Speaker 3: Now my Christian roots would also say you know to have like Christlike love, like really have love.
• 3:25
Speaker 3: Now my Christian roots would also say you know to have like Christlike love.
• 3:26
Speaker 3: But what I really saw was they were always a blessing to other people and they were, and continue to be, like my mother still and my father when he was here.
• 3:34
Speaker 3: Just look for ways that they could serve, you know, all the time, no matter where they were at, and to up-level everybody's you know situation.
• 3:44
Speaker 3: No matter what, if.
• 3:45
Speaker 3: What If it's a grocery store helping somebody unload groceries into their car, or if it's a neighbor that's sick?
• 3:53
Speaker 3: I mean, I grew up in a home where, if you have a sick neighbor my mother, tablecloth, flowers, food, dessert, the whole shebang, all of that would go to feed their family.
• 4:05
Speaker 3: If mama was sick, you know, in the household, I mean, and it was just like, yeah, so it just came by naturally.
• 4:12
Speaker 3: And now fast forward to what I do and, yes, the victory network.
• 4:15
Speaker 3: Find it on Facebook, which I love.
• 4:17
Speaker 3: Thank you, and then, of course, my show create your victorious life.
• 4:20
Speaker 3: But my heart and my passion really are to help people go from trauma to triumph.
• 4:25
Speaker 3: Like you know, like who are you really, why are you here and what the heck are you going to do about it?
• 4:33
Speaker 3: And right, like I mean, you might do things, but what are you going to do?
• 4:37
Speaker 3: And no matter what has happened in your life where you're at right now, where are you?
• 4:43
Speaker 3: What has happened in your life when you're at right now, where are you?
• 4:45
Speaker 3: Where are you at?
• 4:46
Speaker 3: Where do you know?
• 4:46
Speaker 3: Is your God given purpose and what's stopping you in between?
• 4:52
Speaker 2: And my goal is just to help you close that gap and get you doing your thing, love it Absolutely, and the passion you know there are very few people that shine the light that you do.
• 5:03
Speaker 2: Truly there are very few people that shine the light that you do truly.
• 5:08
Speaker 2: I mean the integrity and the love and just truly, just to serve and to be there, to to help people, and you're just an amazing soul, my friend, you truly are thank you, you're absolutely welcome.
• 5:17
Speaker 2: So, um, let's get into, um, let's get into the deep of it, right okay, let's get into the deep of it, right Okay.
• 5:26
Speaker 3: Let's just jump in All right.
• 5:29
  Speaker 3: What's that?
• 5:29
  Speaker 3: We're swimmers, we're surfers.
• 5:31
Speaker 3: Let's jump in, all right.
• 5:33
Speaker 3: Time to paddle, paddle out.
• 5:38
Speaker 2: Before we do on the top, I always point the wrong way.
• 5:41
  Speaker 2: I did it.
• 5:41
Speaker 2: The top right-hand corner of your screen.
• 5:43
  Speaker 2: There's a blue QR code.
• 5:45
  Speaker 2: Please scan that.
• 5:46
Speaker 2: It goes to Empower Performance Strategies.
• 5:48
Speaker 2: It's going to be so hard to focus Empowerperformancestrategiescom for people listening on the podcast forums.
• 5:56
Speaker 2: Later it has all kinds of resources for trainings and Facebook groups to be involved and be connected with similar-minded people.
• 6:05
Speaker 2: So you know a couple of e-books that I've written as well, absolutely free.
• 6:09
  Speaker 2: Please download them.
• 6:10
Speaker 2: So let's dive in.
• 6:12
Speaker 2: So we're talking about, you know, transforming.
• 6:15
Speaker 2: You know your story and changing your life right.
• 6:18
Speaker 2: Change your story, change your life.
• 6:19
Speaker 2: So let's just again dive in with you know, a veteran transitioning out, going home from the military or, you know, reintegrating into normal society, civilian society.
• 6:33
Speaker 2: I should say so where would you say hey, this is what you should be thinking about, this is where you should start.
• 6:41
Speaker 3: Well, you know, I want to share, like, especially where your story is concerned, you know, the meaning that we give is the life that we live, right, and and you and I can have completely different meanings in the exact same event.
• 6:59
Speaker 3: We could both be sitting side by side in the exact same event and have completely different meanings and different things going on in our heads.
• 7:09
Speaker 3: And you know, to your point and to your question, the first thing I would do is I, if I were the person you know, even chatting, it was a family member, a loved one I would ask them you know what's on your heart, what's really on your heart, not what's in your head.
• 7:26
Speaker 3: I need to, you know, get a place, I need to do this, or I need to make, you know, make whatever those situations are, whatever that is, but really what's on your heart?
• 7:35
Speaker 3: Because, and you and I've heard this before with you know, tony Robbins says, you know, if you stay in your head, you're dead, and I would I add, yeah, but when you're, you stay in your heart, you're smart, and so, and let that guide you, right, thank you, and let that guide you.
• 7:49
Speaker 3: And so what's really in your heart to do?
• 7:51
Speaker 3: So I would ask, like, what do you really want to do?
• 7:53
Speaker 3: Not kind of like, okay, I got to go, I got to do this, I've got to.
• 7:57
Speaker 3: You know all the things, right, all the things.
• 7:59
Speaker 3: But at the end of the day, you know, it's a no brainer right, and that would be the first thing, and then I'd really, I guess it would depend on their situation and what they were going into.
• 8:17
  Speaker 2: Right.
• 8:18
Speaker 2: So so really, it's what would you love, right?
• 8:20
Speaker 2: You know, get out of your head what would you love, because that's what's going to give you that purpose, that fulfillment, you know, and if you can take those amazing skill sets that you've learned in the military, that so many military forget because they just get back in the real world, they have that leadership, they have those.
• 8:41
Speaker 2: I'm going to figure it out, I can figure it out.
• 8:44
Speaker 2: You know that confidence, those kinds of things.
• 8:46
Speaker 2: So if you have those and use those, you can do literally anything.
• 8:52
Speaker 2: I truly believe that and I think we both coach that all the time.
• 8:55
Speaker 2: So what would you say?
• 8:58
Speaker 2: You're you, you figure out your fulfillment, you know.
• 9:01
Speaker 2: And, and can we go through the seven whys?
• 9:05
  Speaker 3: Why don't you?
• 9:09
Speaker 2: So, um, so when you go through and you're trying to figure out your whys, and you're going layer after layer and you keep asking yourself why, why?
• 9:17
Speaker 2: And as you get deeper and deeper and deeper, I mean at some point you hit, and it's usually at the seventh.
• 9:25
Speaker 2: I mean you go deeper and you find that.
• 9:28
Speaker 2: So what has been your experience with that?
• 9:30
Speaker 2: If you will, and you find that.
• 9:32
Speaker 3: So what has been your experience with that?
• 9:34
Speaker 3: if you will, you know a lot of times people hijack their whys with the how Right, and and when you really align with your why.
• 9:55
Speaker 3: I believe that every single thing about all of the amazing things that our military learned, no matter what their job is in the military, that they can apply in magnificent ways in their civilian life right, but no matter what, I believe that everything you want is in the quantum, Everything you want is in the field like, no matter what, and our job really is just to point and click, Like Joseph will say, our mentor, Joseph McClendon III, and happy birthday again.
• 10:15
  Speaker 3: Happy birthday.
• 10:16
Speaker 3: I just loved your post, by the way.
• 10:19
Speaker 3: I was at that event with you and your wife, but what I, you know what he would say is, you know, put in your order and like what he did with his home right, and what he continues to do.
• 10:29
Speaker 3: And I would add, though, that your order is already in.
• 10:38
Speaker 3: All you have to do is go up to the counter and pick it up.
• 10:39
Speaker 3: It's kind of like Michael, here's your order and here's your fries and your shake and the whole you know shebang.
• 10:42
Speaker 3: So when you're going through the whys, the order's already there.
• 10:47
Speaker 3: So when you get to the anchor of because, fill in the blank, right, Because it brings me joy, because it lights my soul on fire, because it whatever.
• 11:02
Speaker 3: Then all of the how you're going to line up because if you're in alignment with what that is, it's already like done for you, it's already done.
• 11:12
Speaker 3: So then all of it's just going to line up, and then the how's going to come to you.
• 11:17
Speaker 3: So like, if you get, if I were, let's say, you're the veteran and I'm working with you, I would do exactly, Okay, but why do you want that?
• 11:25
Speaker 3: Okay, but why you know what's it going to do for you?
• 11:29
Speaker 3: Yeah, the question is you know right, you know what's.
• 11:30
Speaker 3: The question is you know right.
• 11:31
Speaker 3: And then, but when you get to it and typically a lot of times when somebody gets there, they're either in tears of joy or or just like, okay, okay, let's go, let's go, you know, cause they're so ready to go.
• 11:42
Speaker 3: And then it makes it easy to figure out, sometimes not simple, but easy to, to see the steps to get there.
• 11:56
Speaker 2: Absolutely, and it's you and, just like you said, it's so powerful because you know your soul, literally is speaks to you.
• 12:02
Speaker 2: It's like the mirror exercise that I teach people and I'm sure you do as well.
• 12:06
Speaker 2: When you look in the mirror, look in your eyes, look into your soul and say I love you, and you feel it.
• 12:10
Speaker 2: When you look in the mirror, look in your eyes, look into your soul and say I love you, and you feel it.
• 12:13
Speaker 2: When you look in your eyes, you know it's the same thing, you literally feel it and it's powerful man, it's super powerful.
• 12:20
Speaker 2: So it's the same thing.
• 12:22
  Speaker 2: I mean, that's what I've experienced.
• 12:24
Speaker 2: So thank you for talking about that, first of all, and going through the whys.
• 12:27
  Speaker 2: And you're right.
• 12:29
Speaker 2: You're so right, cindy, when you, if you just go, yeah, I want a million dollars, okay, how am I going to do that?
• 12:39
Speaker 2: Well, you, you get so stuck in your head instead of just knowing what you want and aligning with it, and it's then the answers come.
• 12:48
Speaker 2: It's so amazing how many times I'm coaching somebody or doing a training and the answers are all there.
• 12:54
Speaker 2: They already know it.
• 12:55
Speaker 2: I have found more often than not, you are at, I'm going to say 99.9%, you know it and you know the steps and it's in you and it's just taking the action there, creating the plan and taking the action, taking that one step.
• 13:13
Speaker 3: Right, well, and, and to your point with the wise.
• 13:16
Speaker 3: So I want a million dollars, yay, and why, you know, and it, and then, by the time you get to, well, because I want to be able to take my family on vacation.
• 13:28
Speaker 3: I want to be able to live debt free.
• 13:29
Speaker 3: Why, okay, well, we want to go on a vacation because, fill in the blank, my wife's always wanted to go to Tahiti and the kids would have so much fun at the beach.
• 13:38
  Speaker 3: Why Right?
• 13:41
Speaker 3: And because, you know, and, at the end of the day, because I just want to sell the field of sun and for me to snuggle my babies and just feel the joy of that water splashing on us and all the memories that it'll make just feel the joy of that water splashing on us and all the memories that it'll make.
• 13:57
Speaker 2: I want that connection, I want you know those things.
• 13:59
Speaker 2: You know, and that's a lot of times it comes down to those six needs that we, as humans, you know, have to have or need, and it's you know those kinds of things.
• 14:05
Speaker 2: It's that certainty, it's that security, it's the you know those kinds of things that it's like.
• 14:09
Speaker 2: That's the real fulfillment, that's the real reasons we want the things that seem superficial, that are there, and that's the.
• 14:17
Speaker 2: That's the beauty of the seven.
• 14:19
  Speaker 2: Why so?
• 14:20
Speaker 2: And I love that from you, just so you know.
• 14:25
Speaker 3: Well, I just want to share something.
• 14:26
Speaker 3: So here's where people a lot of times disconnect.
• 14:30
Speaker 3: So you get your why, you get your why.
• 14:32
Speaker 3: What's imperative is that your why isn't here?
• 14:35
Speaker 3: So our brain is electric, our mind's electric, our heart is magnetic and the and the job is to keep you know, to protect the kingdom, to protect, for me, the queendom, to protect the empire Right, and so the only reframe or reference that it has is here and your history.
• 14:53
Speaker 3: So, if your history is, I want, I want, whatever.
• 14:57
Speaker 3: And then you, well, we have January coming up, so I want to drop the 20 pounds, I want to whatever.
• 15:05
Speaker 3: And then you know, a week and a half in, there's no longer Planet Fitness.
• 15:08
Speaker 3: It's, you know, it's Netflix fitness and you know whatever Right.
• 15:13
Speaker 3: And instead because this didn't get in complete alignment.
• 15:17
Speaker 3: And so when you have that, why, why, why.
• 15:20
Speaker 3: And you get to the point where I mean I it's funny because if you could see it, I have like in Hawaii we'd say, hey, I got chicken skin, you can see like goosebumps, right.
• 15:29
Speaker 3: So when you get to the point where I'm feeling the ocean, I can hear it, I'm feeling it on my skin.
• 15:38
Speaker 3: My babies are tan, their skin is glistening.
• 15:41
Speaker 3: My wife, holy smack, she's like off the charts with her joy and her smile.
• 15:46
Speaker 3: Feel that to your fingertips.
• 15:49
Speaker 3: Your brain doesn't know the difference between that's actually happened and it hasn't.
• 15:54
Speaker 3: So this is a hack for anybody.
• 15:57
Speaker 3: When you want to create that, you need to feel it all the way to your fingertips, to the bottoms of your toes.
• 16:04
Speaker 3: Feel it and get it locked and loaded.
• 16:06
Speaker 3: So your body remembers what that feels like and what will happen is is it starts to look for evidence in your life to make that happen, and so your heart will start to magnetize.
• 16:19
Speaker 3: And here's the cool things.
• 16:20
Speaker 3: So then, all of a sudden, from nowhere, you're going to start.
• 16:23
Speaker 3: Well, because you're talking about it, you'll see it on on on your phone, but you're going to actually start seeing billboards for Tahiti, or you know, somebody will say oh my gosh, I have this situation and I have these, these tickets I can't use to Tahiti Right.
• 16:38
Speaker 3: All these things are going to start to line up for you.
• 16:41
Speaker 3: There aren't any incidences or accidents.
• 16:44
Speaker 3: These are like legit, because you are making that happen.
• 16:50
  Speaker 2: Absolutely amazing.
• 16:51
Speaker 2: You know you talk about, you know seeing it right and things starting to happen.
• 16:53
Speaker 2: Absolutely amazing you know you talk about, you know seeing it right and things starting to happen.
• 16:57
Speaker 2: If you look back and I challenge everybody listening and listening in the future if you look back at your successes, your success story or whatever you want to call it you look back on something you wanted and all of a sudden you start seeing it around because you're focusing on it.
• 17:17
Speaker 2: Before you never even thought about having that Mustang or whatever the case may be.
• 17:21
Speaker 2: I'm just using something simple.
• 17:22
Speaker 2: But all of a sudden you see man, I've seen like 18 Mustangs in the last hour you start focusing on those things and it changes that trajectory.
• 17:30
Speaker 2: It really brings it more into place.
• 17:44
Speaker 2: So when you go back to your success formula, if you will look at that and think about how, all of a sudden, you know you saw things and they started just aligning because you wanted it and because you did take some action, of course, things don't just, you know, magically a million dollars in the bank so you can take your family to Tahiti or whatever the case may be.
• 17:54
Speaker 2: So really I just want to stress, to look back because you know some people will be like, oh yeah, that's not real.
• 18:00
  Speaker 2: That's not real, but there's, there's proof.
• 18:02
Speaker 2: Look back in your life on things you thought about that you accomplished, because it shows not only your success formula but it shows the reality of what Cindy's saying is absolutely true and I've seen it in my life so many times.
• 18:15
Speaker 3: Oh so many times, right?
• 18:16
Speaker 3: So let's apply it to even your audience.
• 18:18
Speaker 3: So let's suppose let's take away tangibles like trips and cars and things, material things.
• 18:25
Speaker 3: Let's apply it to healing.
• 18:28
  Speaker 3: Let's apply it.
• 18:29
Speaker 3: So what does that look like?
• 18:30
Speaker 3: How do I magnetize my healing?
• 18:33
Speaker 3: How do I make that happen in my heart?
• 18:34
Speaker 3: How do I have a day where I wake up every day and I'm freaking, enjoy, like I'm so excited to get for my day?
• 18:41
Speaker 3: Well, the same principles apply.
• 18:44
  Speaker 3: You see.
• 18:45
Speaker 3: What does a joyful person look like?
• 18:47
Speaker 3: What does what does joy feel like to you If I were like?
• 18:53
Speaker 3: What does what does joy feel like to you If I were, if I were a joyful person?
• 18:56
Speaker 3: What does that feel like to me?
• 18:57
Speaker 3: What is it what?
• 18:57
Speaker 3: How do I look?
• 18:57
Speaker 3: How do I dress?
• 18:58
Speaker 3: How do I stand?
• 18:58
Speaker 3: How do I walk?
• 18:58
Speaker 3: Who do I talk with?
• 18:59
Speaker 3: What do I eat?
• 19:00
Speaker 3: Does a joyful person sit around eating fries with tartar sauce?
• 19:04
Speaker 2: Perhaps you know, but you're a model of the world or You're a model of the world.
• 19:10
Speaker 3: Or is it Taco Tuesday every day?
• 19:12
Speaker 3: Yeah, you know whatever that is right.
• 19:14
Speaker 3: Or is it brisket?
• 19:16
Speaker 3: Because I know somebody who makes the best brisket on the planet, michael Cole?
• 19:20
Speaker 3: You know whatever that looks like to you.
• 19:22
Speaker 3: And then that you just again do the same principles.
• 19:26
Speaker 3: What does healing look like?
• 19:27
Speaker 3: Does healing look like pain-free?
• 19:30
Speaker 3: Heck, yeah, it does healing look like pain-free?
• 19:31
Speaker 3: Heck, yeah, it does.
• 19:32
Speaker 3: Now here's where it gets kind of tricky, because if you've lived a life where you believe the story that I'm in pain and you have evidence to believe that I'm not minimizing that I have family members that live in chronic pain when you live that life, it takes a lot to get you to a place where here and here believes that you're no longer there, but it is possible, and all you have to do is really believe that it's possible and then make that and make that a practice.
• 20:00
Speaker 3: Like you said, the mirror exercise is a perfect way to do that, you know.
• 20:04
Speaker 3: Meditation and prayer another perfect way to do that, you know.
• 20:07
Speaker 3: And even if it's just snippets of time, just a little bit of time every day, and then you just start stacking it like an avalanche right or like at the gym.
• 20:16
Speaker 3: You know, building your muscles.
• 20:17
Speaker 3: You just okay, I'm going to do.
• 20:18
Speaker 3: I'm going to walk for two minutes today.
• 20:19
Speaker 3: I'm going to get off the couch today I'm going to you know, not Uber.
• 20:23
Speaker 3: I'll actually make oatmeal today.
• 20:25
  Speaker 3: That's my meal.
• 20:26
  Speaker 3: Who cares?
• 20:26
Speaker 3: Let make it right.
• 20:34
Speaker 3: Whatever it takes to just move the needle forward so that your outward picture looks like the inward right.
• 20:38
Speaker 2: Yeah, so I love this, and so let's throw on some neuro encoding, shall we?
• 20:41
  Speaker 2: Oh, that's weird.
• 20:43
Speaker 2: So so what are some thoughts?
• 20:46
Speaker 2: For you know, of course, celebrating right, one of the most important things we can do for ourselves um, releases all the good hormones, but the other amazing things it does is when you, when you celebrate a certain thing, like hey.
• 21:00
Speaker 2: I got out of bed and I didn't feel any pain, celebrating, pat yourself on the back, shake your ass, as we know, it's aptitude, right, but creating those things, um, makes your brain look for it more, it changes the physiology, it changes the neural pathways, all those things, and reinforces them even so, what are some thoughts for you as far as for neuro encoding, on how you start to believe it?
• 21:28
Speaker 3: Well, first of all, you create your entire world first in your thoughts, at a hundred percent.
• 21:35
Speaker 3: So let me give you an example in this You'll catch the example, but it goes back to the mirror exercise.
• 21:42
Speaker 3: I remember there was a day last year I think it was about a year, maybe a year and a half ago and I was having a rough day and I was literally I was crying, I was and I could hardly catch my breath because I was just having a really sad day.
• 21:57
Speaker 3: And I could hardly catch my breath because I was just having a really sad day and I forced myself to do the mirror exercise, like I forced myself.
• 22:04
Speaker 3: And this is what happened.
• 22:05
Speaker 3: When you look yourself deep in your soul, like you look yourself in the eye, do not break your stare.
• 22:12
Speaker 3: And what happened for me was, as I'm forcing myself to do this, because I needed it to shift.
• 22:19
Speaker 3: It was so profound because I fell in love with the woman who was devastated and heartbroken.
• 22:26
Speaker 3: I actually connected to her.
• 22:30
Speaker 3: What happens a lot of time in pain, sadness, sorrow, all of that we on purpose disconnect because it's too much.
• 22:37
Speaker 3: When you reconnect that, then you give yourself an opportunity to heal that, and so that's how you start Because we know this.
• 22:47
Speaker 3: As you think, so we feel right, as we feel, so we do as we do, so we have.
• 22:53
Speaker 3: So if you don't like what you have, work your way back up the ladder.
• 22:57
Speaker 3: So what did I do to get that?
• 22:59
Speaker 3: What was I feeling that caused me to do that, to have that?
• 23:04
Speaker 3: Okay, well, what the heck was I thinking Right?
• 23:08
Speaker 3: And it could be stuff like cause.
• 23:10
Speaker 3: We know our neurons that fire together, wire together.
• 23:13
Speaker 3: So you were programmed as a child and you don't even know why you do stuff.
• 23:18
Speaker 3: You know, like how many of you, I know people.
• 23:21
  Speaker 3: I absolutely know a person.
• 23:23
Speaker 3: Every time they get peanut butter.
• 23:24
Speaker 3: This is such a weird example, but it's like this thing they get peanut butter, they grab a big spoon and they and they eat the peanut butter.
• 23:32
Speaker 3: You know, or like used to.
• 23:34
Speaker 3: When I made sandwiches for the work crew Cause our crew that you know when I was married, we had a work crew and I'd make food and my family members that were in the work crew I took a bite of their sandwich every single time and left a little note in their thing.
• 23:48
Speaker 3: And if I didn't, because I was in a hurry, I got messages.
• 23:52
Speaker 3: Hey, right, because we programmed it, though, and it was a joyful thing, joyful thing.
• 23:57
Speaker 3: So, again, if you don't like what you have, go back and see what you've thought and what do you think, and if what you think is not going to give you what you have, that's where you change it and your beliefs happen here, from your thoughts and here, and that's where, that's where all the magic happens.
• 24:15
Speaker 3: You can create at the speed of thought.
• 24:18
  Speaker 3: Isn't that a concept?
• 24:21
Speaker 2: That is an amazing concept, it is a beautiful thing, Absolutely so.
• 24:26
Speaker 2: God, I love those examples, Thank you.
• 24:28
Speaker 2: So let's kind of move a little bit into your story, changing your life right.
• 24:37
  Speaker 2: Changing your story.
• 24:38
  Speaker 2: Changed.
• 24:38
Speaker 2: You're changing your life right.
• 24:39
Speaker 2: Changing your story, change your life.
• 24:39
Speaker 2: And I know we've got about five minutes left here because you know it's us, I know right, I know I think we talked that long before we got on here.
• 24:51
Speaker 2: So, if we can, what are some of the key points you would say to walk somebody through how to do that.
• 25:03
Speaker 3: Again, actually, what I just said.
• 25:05
Speaker 3: It really boils down to your thoughts.
• 25:08
Speaker 3: Like, for me, I had to not be.
• 25:10
Speaker 3: Well, my mom, my mom, used to tease me.
• 25:14
Speaker 3: My middle name, my Hawaiian name, is Puanani, and so are we having a pity party for poo?
• 25:19
Speaker 3: Because, you know, I mean seriously like, yeah, and you know, and 16 year old girls, right, please?
• 25:26
Speaker 3: Or what I would say is don't be a whiny pee pants.
• 25:29
Speaker 3: Now, it's okay if you, yes, feel your stuff and yes, all those things, but, honestly, this is a game, the game of life.
• 25:40
Speaker 3: We have a very real opponent, we have other players.
• 25:43
Speaker 3: Your job is to be what?
• 25:44
Speaker 3: The master of the game board.
• 25:45
Speaker 3: How do you want to win?
• 25:46
Speaker 3: Right, you have to be a strategist.
• 25:50
Speaker 3: You have to think in.
• 25:51
Speaker 3: Well, you don't have to.
• 25:53
Speaker 3: You can do whatever you want, but I have to think in strategy.
• 25:55
Speaker 3: So, for me, this is where I wanted to be, this is where I was.
• 25:59
Speaker 3: How do I mitigate or shorten the distance between here, here and here?
• 26:08
Speaker 3: Right, and that's really what I had to do when I knew that would only happen by here.
• 26:10
Speaker 3: So let me give you a real quick example.
• 26:11
  Speaker 3: I know we're we're short on time.
• 26:12
Speaker 3: Okay, cool, cause, this was.
• 26:15
Speaker 3: This is mind blowing for me.
• 26:17
Speaker 3: So every year I go through this process.
• 26:18
Speaker 3: I typically fast the first 21 days of January.
• 26:21
Speaker 3: I set the intentions for my year, I do all these things and I create what I call a gratitude board.
• 26:27
Speaker 3: Many people I used to call them vision boards.
• 26:29
Speaker 3: I don't want to hold the vision, I want to see it as already done.
• 26:32
Speaker 3: So for me, if it's a gratitude board, I'm so grateful, thankful and happy that fill in the blank, right.
• 26:36
  Speaker 3: So I really.
• 26:37
Speaker 3: And it's a gratitude board, I'm so grateful, thankful and happy that fill in the blank, right.
• 26:39
  Speaker 3: So I really.
• 26:39
Speaker 3: And it's a big deal to me.
• 26:40
Speaker 3: It's not a kind of sort of like.
• 26:42
Speaker 3: I sort of do it.
• 26:43
Speaker 3: I have a board, I have a book, the book goes with me even when I travel, so I can see it, I can see my stuff, I keep it in front of me and then I have okay.
• 26:51
Speaker 3: So, before the winter, before I moved out and started my divorce, which you know was that wonderful year, and I that's when I joined the Neuron Coding Institute was in April of 2021.
• 27:07
Speaker 3: Well, I had done my process with my vision board before that.
• 27:09
Speaker 3: This is so cool, michael.
• 27:10
Speaker 3: I anchored it into my being so much I didn't think about it because all of a sudden I'm faced with holy smack Now I'm moving out.
• 27:18
Speaker 3: Then, as you know, I had lots of loss during that year.
• 27:21
Speaker 3: When I got my belongings, I put a lot of stuff in a storage.
• 27:26
Speaker 3: Part of it was my vision board and stuff.
• 27:28
Speaker 3: Who cares about that?
• 27:29
Speaker 3: When you're going through, you know what I mean.
• 27:31
Speaker 3: It's like the vision I had right.
• 27:33
Speaker 3: I even had things, though on that vision of you know me, joseph McLennan, the third, like I had all this stuff right.
• 27:40
Speaker 3: So when I know so, I fast forward to the next year and I buy a home and I'm taking things out of storage and I get my stuff right.
• 27:51
Speaker 3: There's my vision board and I stand there and I'm like'm like in tears, like how the heck did that happen?
• 27:59
Speaker 3: Because I could check off the majority of that board and it happened because I had so put it in me so much.
• 28:09
Speaker 3: That's the power of your belief that it happened like on autopilot, my body just conditioned in the midst of all that stuff.
• 28:17
Speaker 3: Michael, isn't that wild.
• 28:20
  Speaker 2: It's amazing and it's reality, it's science.
• 28:22
Speaker 2: It's not like it's as JM3 will say.
• 28:26
Speaker 2: You know our mentor, unicorns and rainbows.
• 28:28
Speaker 2: You know there's actually science behind it, which, of course, we don't have time to get into right now, but we'll have you on again, obviously, and not 78 podcasts later.
• 28:40
Speaker 2: Thank you so much for sharing, sharing that um, and it's a, it's an amazing story, and I've done the same where it's like, wow, right, how did that happen?
• 28:53
Speaker 2: When did that happen?
• 28:54
Speaker 2: You know, and it's again because you're setting that intentional thought process, moving forward, because it's really what you love, what you want.
• 29:05
Speaker 3: You're doing that and you're including your body and you're including your heart, and that's like so critical and that you do that and then adding to it, not in the guise of the story I just shared, but while you're doing it intentionally and putting your attention, you're also celebrating the heck out of your steps right.
• 29:27
Speaker 2: Remember to celebrate every time you do anything towards an action or just a thought process.
• 29:34
Speaker 2: Celebrate because, man, we do not celebrate enough.
• 29:37
Speaker 2: As human beings, we do not.
• 29:39
Speaker 2: We're too busy beating ourselves up and we got to turn it around, man, because that's how you get happiness, that's how you get fulfillment 100%, yeah, amen.
• 29:49
Speaker 2: So thank you so much, my dear friend, for being on here.

• 30:30
Speaker 3: So, as always, we need three tips to get veterans further faster okay, the very first, very first thing is is love you, be grateful for you.
• 30:40
Speaker 3: The fastest way to get anywhere is on that vehicle of love.
• 30:44
Speaker 3: So love you, love your family.
• 30:47
Speaker 3: That's one that one of the biggest things.
• 30:49
Speaker 3: Thanks, susan, that's one of the biggest things.
• 30:54
Speaker 3: The other thing, though, to get you further faster is take a day, just one day, and don't judge.
• 31:00
Speaker 3: Just grab a notebook and write down everything you think, everything, because you don't have to believe every stupid thought you think.
• 31:07
Speaker 3: But it'll be interesting for you If you do that.
• 31:09
Speaker 3: How many times you have recurring thoughts, because what is it?
• 31:13
Speaker 3: 80% of our thoughts aren't new, right?
• 31:16
Speaker 3: Maybe 90% they're the same old things.
• 31:18
Speaker 3: So write down every single thing you think and then look at huh, is it any wonder I have this?
• 31:24
Speaker 3: Because these are my thoughts.
• 31:25
Speaker 3: That's like the fastest way to get further faster.
• 31:29
Speaker 2: I absolutely love that.
• 31:30
  Speaker 2: Yeah, that's fantastic.
• 31:32
Speaker 2: And can I take it one step further Circle the positive thoughts and circle the positive thoughts and circle the positive thoughts and then, like Cindy said before, look at it again.
• 31:42
Speaker 2: Yeah, good ones, that's the good ones.
• 31:45
Speaker 2: Thank you so much, cindy again, for being on.
• 31:49
Speaker 2: You know time is the most valuable resource we have as human beings.
