Latest / The Epstein Chronicles / Pam Bondi Crashes Out During Her Congressional Hearing
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. Yesterday Pam Bondi appeared before Congress to discuss
- 0:09Speaker 1: the Epstein files and where things are currently at as
- 0:13Speaker 1: far as the DOJ goes. And to say that it
- 0:16Speaker 1: devolved into a shitshow is an understatement. Bondi showed up
- 0:20Speaker 1: to that hearing not looking to answer questions, not looking
- 0:23Speaker 1: to set things right, but looking for confrontation. And quite frankly,
- 0:28Speaker 1: she embarrassed herself. She embarrassed the administration, and she embarrassed
- 0:32Speaker 1: the whole country. She is highly unqualified for the position
- 0:36Speaker 1: she's in. And not only that, but she perjured herself
- 0:40Speaker 1: multiple times. And I promise you, if it was you
- 0:43Speaker 1: to perjure yourself, Pam Bondi and this rogue DOJ would
- 0:47Speaker 1: have your ass in handcuffs. Because we all know, there's
- 0:50Speaker 1: a set of rules for them, and a whole ass
- 0:53Speaker 1: different set of rules for the rest of us. This
- 0:55Speaker 1: article was published by NBC News. Headline, Pam Bondi hearing
- 1:00Speaker 1: devolves into shouting matches with Democrats over Epstein and DOJ prosecutions.
- 1:07Speaker 1: This article was authored by Ryan J. Riley. Attorney General
- 1:13Speaker 1: Pam Bondi clashed with lawmakers during a contentious House Judiciary
- 1:17Speaker 1: Committee hearing on Wednesday with the Justice Department's handling of
- 1:21Speaker 1: its Jeffrey Epstein records and its attempt to prosecute critics
- 1:25Speaker 1: of President Donald Trump causing the most tension. Look, I
- 1:31Speaker 1: heard that they had a bunch of evidence of voter fraud.
- 1:35Speaker 1: I heard that people were going to prison. I heard
- 1:37Speaker 1: that Fauci was going to jail. I heard we were
- 1:40Speaker 1: draining the swamp. How's that shit working out for you?
- 1:45Speaker 1: Bondi and her agency faced increased pressure from the White
- 1:49Speaker 1: House to deliver victories on Trump's agenda and frustration, including
- 1:54Speaker 1: from Trump himself, at what they perceive to be the
- 1:57Speaker 1: slow progress and a number of setbacks In the courts.
- 2:00Speaker 1: And of course the reasoning is. Because the courts are
- 2:03Speaker 1: all corrupt. I'm sure it has nothing to do with
- 2:05Speaker 1: the fact. That the cases you're bringing. Don't have any merit.
- 2:09Speaker 1: And don't stand up. When they face scrutiny. I'm sure
- 2:12Speaker 1: that has nothing to do with it. At times Bondi's performance.
- 2:17Speaker 1: At the roughly four and a half hour long hearing.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Seemed targeted specifically for Trump. She appeared to be reading.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Off written talking points. On occasion. And saying Trump's praises.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Calling him the greatest president. in American history. Yeah, I mean,
- 2:32Speaker 1: this is the greatest time in the history of our country.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Nothing says greatness like covering up for a human trafficker
- 2:39Speaker 1: and worldwide money launderer. No big deal. At least the
- 2:42Speaker 1: stock market's raging. Wednesday's hearing devolved into a series of
- 2:47Speaker 1: shouting matches as Democrats peppered Bondi with questions about Epstein
- 2:52Speaker 1: and survivors of his abuse, many of whom attended the proceedings. Well,
- 2:58Speaker 1: I wouldn't say many. a handful, and those are just
- 3:01Speaker 1: the women that are out in front and willing to
- 3:04Speaker 1: be vocal. You have a lot of people out here
- 3:07Speaker 1: that have a lot of nerve. We're literally talking about
- 3:10Speaker 1: over a thousand women, and that's coming from Trump's own DOJ.
- 3:15Speaker 1: So how could you sit here and say that all
- 3:17Speaker 1: of their experiences were the same? That if you think
- 3:23Speaker 1: one of them's a liar, they're all liars. It is
- 3:26Speaker 1: just absurd. But people are willing to go to great
- 3:29Speaker 1: lengths to protect their team. And all the people out
- 3:32Speaker 1: there that say, well, why didn't Biden release this information? Well,
- 3:36Speaker 1: here's the cold hard truth about that. Biden and his team,
- 3:41Speaker 1: they weren't ready to jettison the Clintons. They weren't ready
- 3:44Speaker 1: to expose the people that were paying the bills when
- 3:47Speaker 1: it comes to the Democratic Party. However, this new age
- 3:52Speaker 1: of Democratic leadership, the, you know, Democratic Socialists, they're willing
- 3:56Speaker 1: to burn the Clintons. They're willing to toss the Clintons
- 3:59Speaker 1: over the side of the ship if that means they
- 4:01Speaker 1: can get their claws on Trump. So the reason that
- 4:04Speaker 1: Biden didn't pursue this is because it was mutually assured
- 4:08Speaker 1: destruction and his people understood that. So that definitely does
- 4:12Speaker 1: make him culpable, 100%. And that's what I've said to
- 4:15Speaker 1: you from the beginning of all of this. Trump is
- 4:17Speaker 1: a symptom. The real disease is the system that has
- 4:21Speaker 1: allowed this to occur. And until we confront that, forget it.
- 4:25Speaker 1: It's going to continue to happen. The DOJ needs to
- 4:28Speaker 1: do its job. Give us the rest of the files
- 4:30Speaker 1: and start the investigations, said one survivor, Danny Bensky. Sky Roberts,
- 4:36Speaker 1: the brother of Virginia, explicitly took aim at Bondi, calling
- 4:40Speaker 1: her handling of the issue nothing short of a failure.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Do your job, Pam, Roberts said. I mean, I can't
- 4:47Speaker 1: imagine if it was my sister. I'd be going crazy.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Forget it. I would have disrupted that hearing yesterday. I
- 4:54Speaker 1: would have stood my dumb ass up right in that
- 4:56Speaker 1: hearing and told Pam Bondi where to shove it. Especially
- 4:59Speaker 1: with the attitude that she had yesterday. I mean, it
- 5:02Speaker 1: is just unbelievable the way she conducted herself. One of
- 5:05Speaker 1: the biggest embarrassments I've ever seen. And let's keep in
- 5:09Speaker 1: mind the seriousness of the issue that we're dealing with.
- 5:13Speaker 1: We're not talking about, you know, a basic policy fight.
- 5:16Speaker 1: Which would still be disgusting. But this is on a
- 5:19Speaker 1: whole ass other level. You had these survivors there at
- 5:22Speaker 1: this hearing. And Pam Bondi wouldn't even recognize them. She
- 5:28Speaker 1: hasn't met with any of them. She hasn't called them
- 5:30Speaker 1: to come to her office to sit down with her
- 5:33Speaker 1: and explain what happened, give her details, nothing. And of course,
- 5:36Speaker 1: this has been the biggest problem throughout the whole thing.
- 5:39Speaker 1: The fact that nobody has ever engaged in a real investigation.
- 5:44Speaker 1: So for the dumbasses out there that keep saying, oh, well,
- 5:48Speaker 1: where's the evidence of this one or that one, bro?
- 5:51Speaker 1: There was never a real investigation into these people. That's
- 5:54Speaker 1: what I'm calling for right now. Because I promise you,
- 5:57Speaker 1: there is enough circumstantial evidence to build a case. It's
- 6:02Speaker 1: only people that don't know how this shit works that
- 6:05Speaker 1: act like there's no evidence. Every single case starts with
- 6:08Speaker 1: circumstantial evidence. That's the foundation that everything's built on. And
- 6:14Speaker 1: then from there, you build the house up. And if
- 6:18Speaker 1: you think there's no circumstantial evidence here then you're either
- 6:21Speaker 1: incapable of processing what you're seeing, or you're willfully being
- 6:25Speaker 1: ignorant for whatever sort of political motives you might have.
- 6:29Speaker 1: And it never fails. The biggest contrarians when it comes
- 6:32Speaker 1: to this story are people that really have no idea
- 6:35Speaker 1: what they're talking about. This is not the story that
- 6:37Speaker 1: you can pick it up in the middle and become
- 6:39Speaker 1: some kind of expert. You have to put in the legwork.
- 6:42Speaker 1: There's a lot to understand. There's a lot of people
- 6:44Speaker 1: to know. There's a lot of connections to make. And
- 6:47Speaker 1: the truth is, the vast majority of people haven't been
- 6:51Speaker 1: following the story long enough to make those connections. And
- 6:54Speaker 1: that's why anyone who's serious about this understands that it's
- 6:57Speaker 1: not just the sexual abuse. It's all the other things
- 7:01Speaker 1: that went along with it, mainly the financial crimes. And
- 7:06Speaker 1: a lot of those financial crimes have not seen the
- 7:09Speaker 1: end of their statute of limitations. So there's a ton
- 7:12Speaker 1: of financial crimes that have occurred that can and should
- 7:16Speaker 1: be investigated. And you notice they don't talk about that
- 7:18Speaker 1: part of the story, right? What do they do? They
- 7:21Speaker 1: come out and they try and demean the survivors, try
- 7:24Speaker 1: and act like they're liars, try and act like none
- 7:27Speaker 1: of this ever happened. It's all made up. And that's
- 7:29Speaker 1: because that's the tried and true narrative. Go after the survivors,
- 7:33Speaker 1: try and destroy their credibility and try and shame them
- 7:37Speaker 1: into not coming forward. And that's been a very effective
- 7:40Speaker 1: strategy for these people for a very long time. But
- 7:44Speaker 1: you know what they can't contend with? What they can
- 7:47Speaker 1: contend with is the money trail and the paper trail
- 7:50Speaker 1: that comes with the financial crimes. And that's why those
- 7:54Speaker 1: need to be pursued and people need to be held accountable.
- 7:57Speaker 1: And then, once you have those people in there for
- 8:00Speaker 1: the financial crimes, then you slap them with other charges
- 8:03Speaker 1: if there's evidence to do so. I mean, this is
- 8:06Speaker 1: not rocket science. Representative Pramila Jayapal asked the women to
- 8:12Speaker 1: stand up before she challenged Bondi to turn to them
- 8:15Speaker 1: and apologize. for the Justice Department's failure to fully redact
- 8:19Speaker 1: their names when the files were made public. They made
- 8:22Speaker 1: sure to have Les Wexner's name redacted though, right? Make
- 8:25Speaker 1: sure you have your buddy's name. I mean, no big
- 8:29Speaker 1: deal that Les Wexner donated $ 250, 000 to the GOP Governor's Conference.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Sure they had no problem taking his money, huh? It's
- 8:38Speaker 1: all good. No big deal. Just another co-conspirator of Jeffrey Epstein. Hey,
- 8:42Speaker 1: you got a few bucks. Are these people for real?
- 8:45Speaker 1: Like the whole entire thing is so corrupt and rotten
- 8:48Speaker 1: from the top down that I truly don't know if
- 8:51Speaker 1: there's any salvaging it. Like we're in a real crazy spot.
- 8:56Speaker 1: And I don't say that lightly. There is no trust
- 8:59Speaker 1: in the institutions. Obviously Pam Bondi is not interested in
- 9:03Speaker 1: bridging the gap and fixing the issues. Instead she's making
- 9:07Speaker 1: everything worse. And that's going to have long term ramifications.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Because coming into this people already didn't trust the DOJ.
- 9:15Speaker 1: But now, with all of this being revealed, with all
- 9:19Speaker 1: of Pam Bondi's antics, with the antics of Todd Blanche,
- 9:23Speaker 1: how can anyone have faith that the DOJ gives a
- 9:26Speaker 1: shit about what Jeffrey Epstein was up to? Bondi declined
- 9:32Speaker 1: and later asked Democrats whether they apologized to President Trump.
- 9:36Speaker 1: All of you who participated in those impeachment hearings against
- 9:39Speaker 1: Donald Trump, you should be apologizing to Trump for their
- 9:42Speaker 1: involvement in past impeachment efforts. Imagine the call. The survivors
- 9:48Speaker 1: are standing there. You refuse to stand up and say
- 9:50Speaker 1: a word to them. But you demand an apology for
- 9:54Speaker 1: President Trump. Does this lady have CTE? I mean, did
- 9:58Speaker 1: she fall and hit her head? on the way to
- 10:00Speaker 1: this deposition? I mean, that would be the only excuse
- 10:03Speaker 1: for her behavior if she had some kind of brain issue.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Because besides that, this is just a straight up foul
- 10:10Speaker 1: ass vile woman. And not only that, I believe she
- 10:13Speaker 1: perjured herself multiple times. So I think there needs to
- 10:17Speaker 1: be repercussions for Pam Bondi and I think that's an understatement.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Will there be? Probably not. But there should be. Bondi
- 10:27Speaker 1: repeatedly accused Democrats of theatrics and said she would not
- 10:30Speaker 1: get in the gutter with these people, though she repeatedly
- 10:34Speaker 1: lobbed personal attacks at Democratic lawmakers. She called Representative Jamie
- 10:38Speaker 1: Raskin of Maryland the top Democrat on the committee, a
- 10:42Speaker 1: washed-up lawyer, and accused Representative Hank Johnson of Georgia, who
- 10:46Speaker 1: has been in Congress for two decades, of lacking experience. Well,
- 10:51Speaker 1: I don't think she's wrong about Jamie Raskin. Not exactly
- 10:53Speaker 1: what I would call a great lawyer. But it's not
- 10:56Speaker 1: the time nor the place. Have some decorum. Have some
- 10:59Speaker 1: pride in yourself. Have some pride in the country. But instead,
- 11:03Speaker 1: everything has to devolve into a reality type of shitshow.
- 11:07Speaker 1: And I'm fucking sick of it. I'm really tired of it.
- 11:12Speaker 1: And look, I know people don't want to hear it,
- 11:13Speaker 1: but there are a lot of theatrics from the Democrats
- 11:16Speaker 1: as well. Enough of the grandstandings. Enough of the bullshit.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Enough of the talking. If you haven't been paying attention,
- 11:24Speaker 1: the American people demand action. Thank you for the insult,
- 11:28Speaker 1: Representative Mary Gay Scanlon said after Bondi said she didn't
- 11:33Speaker 1: get anything regarding public safety. The insults also extended to
- 11:37Speaker 1: a Republican who questioned Bondi about the Justice Department's handling
- 11:41Speaker 1: of redactions in the Epstein files. Representative Thomas Massey of Kentucky,
- 11:47Speaker 1: who co-authored the bill, compelling the Justice Department to release
- 11:50Speaker 1: the records, accuse the Department of over-redacting information in some cases,
- 11:56Speaker 1: while accidentally releasing survivor information in others. Well, I don't
- 12:01Speaker 1: even think it was an accident. I think it was
- 12:03Speaker 1: done on purpose. Willfully. In order to intimidate the survivors.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Look at the narrative that's come out. Oh, they're culpable.
- 12:10Speaker 1: They're human traffickers too. Imagine? Imagine running that fucking narrative?
- 12:16Speaker 1: What kind of ghoul do you have to be? This
- 12:19Speaker 1: guy has Trump derangement syndrome, Bondi said of Massey, who
- 12:23Speaker 1: has criticized the Justice Department's handling of the files. You're
- 12:26Speaker 1: a failed politician. Trump has endorsed Massey's primary opponent in
- 12:30Speaker 1: this year's midterm elections. Just to be clear, Massey won
- 12:35Speaker 1: his district last election, getting like 99% of the vote.
- 12:40Speaker 1: So they're bringing this guy Ed Galleran in to try
- 12:43Speaker 1: and challenge Massey, and it's not going to work out
- 12:45Speaker 1: for them and Trump. the way they think it's going
- 12:48Speaker 1: to work out. Massey is going to absolutely smash Gallerin
- 12:53Speaker 1: in the election. Though Republicans at the hearing largely focused
- 12:56Speaker 1: their questions on immigration and crime, Representative Chip Roy of
- 13:01Speaker 1: Texas pressed Bondi about the fact that some Epstein survivors'
- 13:04Speaker 1: names were not redacted. She blamed the omissions on the
- 13:07Speaker 1: Justice Department's lawyers rushing to get the records before the
- 13:11Speaker 1: December 19th deadline set out by the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Only a small fraction were released on the deadline, with
- 13:19Speaker 1: the majority of files released this month. We did the
- 13:22Speaker 1: best we could, she said. Well, I'm going to tell
- 13:25Speaker 1: that to the IRS in April. Let's see how it
- 13:28Speaker 1: works out. Look, guys, I did my best, you know.
- 13:31Speaker 1: I didn't have enough time to get my shit together.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Sorry about that. We're good though, right? No punishment. Everything's cool.
- 13:38Speaker 1: How do you think that's going to work out for me?
- 13:40Speaker 1: We didn't have enough time. Roy also asked whether anyone
- 13:44Speaker 1: else would be charged in connection with Epstein. Bondi said
- 13:48Speaker 1: there were pending investigations, though it wasn't clear what or
- 13:51Speaker 1: who she was referring to. Last year, Bondi's office quickly
- 13:56Speaker 1: acquiesced when Trump used his social media platform to call
- 14:00Speaker 1: on the Justice Department to investigate Democrats over their affiliations
- 14:04Speaker 1: with Epstein. Wednesday's hearing took place hours after NBC News
- 14:09Speaker 1: reported that a federal grand jury investigation had rejected the
- 14:12Speaker 1: Trump administration's attempt to indict Democratic lawmakers over social media
- 14:17Speaker 1: video that urged members of the military and intelligence communities
- 14:21Speaker 1: to follow their oaths and refuse to obey illegal orders.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Just another failure by Bondi. Yeah, but we're getting all
- 14:29Speaker 1: those arrests. Don't worry. The storm's coming. Trust the plan.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Where we go one, we go all. Bunch of morons.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Bondi accused those she deemed liberal activist judges of taking
- 14:41Speaker 1: part in coordinated judicial opposition to the Trump administration. Oh,
- 14:46Speaker 1: it's always everybody's lined up against you. It's never that
- 14:49Speaker 1: you're weak on facts. It's never that you're weak on evidence.
- 14:52Speaker 1: It's always that the system is lined up against you.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Please shut up. I think everybody's getting tired of the
- 14:59Speaker 1: whole victimhood mentality by the Trump administration. And yo, they
- 15:04Speaker 1: have all three chambers. And what exactly have they codified?
- 15:08Speaker 1: What exactly have they pushed through? And I'm not talking
- 15:10Speaker 1: about lame-ass executive orders that are going to be rescinded
- 15:13Speaker 1: on day one of the next presidency. I'm talking about
- 15:17Speaker 1: actual codified law. Oh, that's right. Not very much. So
- 15:22Speaker 1: you have all three chambers and you can't get shit done,
- 15:25Speaker 1: but it's the other side's fault? Here's an idea. Take
- 15:28Speaker 1: a good, hard look in the mirror. Weaponization has ended.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Bondi declared, after she told the committee's chairman, Representative Jim,
- 15:37Speaker 1: Jim Shorts Jordan of Ohio, that she had received his
- 15:40Speaker 1: criminal referral, asking for former CIA director, John Brennan, to
- 15:44Speaker 1: be prosecuted. And just to be clear, John Brennan is
- 15:48Speaker 1: a smarmy son of a bitch. And if they have
- 15:50Speaker 1: the evidence, I think they should prosecute him. Because I
- 15:53Speaker 1: said it then and I'll keep saying it. There was
- 15:55Speaker 1: a lot of abuses of that FISA court that should
- 15:58Speaker 1: not have occurred. And there's a lot of people that
- 16:01Speaker 1: did things that were illegal, if we're being real. So yeah,
- 16:06Speaker 1: I don't have a problem with somebody like Brennan getting
- 16:09Speaker 1: called up onto the carpet. But if you don't have
- 16:12Speaker 1: the evidence, you don't have the evidence. And according to
- 16:15Speaker 1: this court, you do not have the evidence. Representative Joe
- 16:21Speaker 1: Neguse questioned Bondi about the Justice Department's continued employment of
- 16:26Speaker 1: Jared Wise. A January 6th defendant caught on video yelling
- 16:30Speaker 1: kill him at officers protecting the Capitol on January 6th.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Sounds like a hell of a guy, huh? Yeah, let's
- 16:37Speaker 1: just kill him. Wise is playing a key role in
- 16:41Speaker 1: the weaponization working group, which is expected to release a
- 16:44Speaker 1: report focused on the Trump administration's claim of Biden-era weaponization. See,
- 16:50Speaker 1: here's the problem. Everything is so politicized, no matter what
- 16:54Speaker 1: the report says, the other side's not going to believe it.
- 16:57Speaker 1: And the same goes for the Trump administration. We have
- 17:01Speaker 1: a gigantic, gigantic problem when it comes to credibility. And
- 17:06Speaker 1: considering the way both sides are behaving, I don't see
- 17:09Speaker 1: that being changed anytime soon. I believe he was pardoned
- 17:14Speaker 1: by President Trump. Bondi responded shortly afterward while she was
- 17:18Speaker 1: being questioned by a different member. Bondi pivoted back and
- 17:22Speaker 1: accused him of not taking crime in his district seriously.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Raskin said Bondi had turned the People's Department of Justice
- 17:30Speaker 1: into Trump's instrument of revenge. Trump orders prosecutions like pizza,
- 17:35Speaker 1: and you deliver every time he tells you to go
- 17:37Speaker 1: after James Comey, Letitia James, Lisa Cook, and Jerome Powell,
- 17:42Speaker 1: the head of the Federal Reserve Board and members of Congress,
- 17:46Speaker 1: Raskin said. A White House aide told NBC News that
- 17:50Speaker 1: Trump has complained about Bondi to aides and allies in
- 17:54Speaker 1: recent weeks. describing her as weak and insufficiently aggressive in
- 17:58Speaker 1: pursuing cases against his perceived opponents. Responding to reports that
- 18:04Speaker 1: first emerged in the Wall Street Journal, the White House
- 18:07Speaker 1: issued a statement from Trump saying Bondi was doing an
- 18:10Speaker 1: excellent job and passed along statements praising Bondi from Vice
- 18:14Speaker 1: President J.D. Vance, White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles,
- 18:19Speaker 1: Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt. Oh, well, translation,
- 18:25Speaker 1: the knives are out. She's in big trouble. That's what
- 18:28Speaker 1: that means. And she should be. If she had one
- 18:31Speaker 1: moral bone in her body, she would resign. She's not
- 18:34Speaker 1: going to, though. Representative Bondi and Eric Swalwell, a prominent
- 18:38Speaker 1: Trump critic, did reach a moment of agreement after Swalwell
- 18:42Speaker 1: raised concerns about his family's safety. Swalwell, who has repeatedly
- 18:46Speaker 1: spoken about his received death threats, told NBC News last
- 18:51Speaker 1: year that the Justice Department hadn't brought charges against people
- 18:55Speaker 1: who threatened him, and said it had limited his kids
- 18:58Speaker 1: being in the front yard of their home because of
- 19:01Speaker 1: the threats. Swalwell asked Bondi on Wednesday why the Justice
- 19:05Speaker 1: Department hadn't brought charges against anyone. None of you should
- 19:09Speaker 1: be threatened ever, Bondi said, addressing all the lawmakers present.
- 19:12Speaker 1: None of your children should be threatened. None of your
- 19:15Speaker 1: families should be threatened. She couldn't muster that up for
- 19:18Speaker 1: the survivors, though. You can't turn around and say to them, hey, look,
- 19:21Speaker 1: I'm sorry what happened to you. We're going to try
- 19:23Speaker 1: and pursue justice wherever we can. Of course she couldn't
- 19:27Speaker 1: say that. Because she doesn't care. That's really what it
- 19:31Speaker 1: comes down to. And this comes right from the top.
- 19:34Speaker 1: When your boss is calling this a hoax, when your
- 19:36Speaker 1: boss is saying move on, do you really think that
- 19:39Speaker 1: Pam Bondi is going to go against the grain? This
