- 0:34Speaker 1: who just want the truth, who are seeking truth, who
- 0:38Speaker 1: wanna know the truth. And in your efforts to get
- 0:41Speaker 1: the truth, you're gonna bump into the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen,
- 0:45Speaker 1: cause he is the Way and the Truth and the life.
- 0:48Speaker 1: No one gets to the Father except through him. Amen.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Sister Joanne, I see you. Good morning, God bless you,
- 0:54Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Morning Devo. My sister and my friend.
- 0:56Speaker 1: So let's go forward. Today we're talking about sickness. Sickness
- 1:03Speaker 1: and the question at hand is how do Christians christ
- 1:08Speaker 1: followers deal with sickness? How do we deal with it. Amen,
- 1:12Speaker 1: Because I know a lot of people probably think you're Christians,
- 1:15Speaker 1: you don't face any challenges in life. You're right. We
- 1:19Speaker 1: face sickness, disease, all that stuff that the world because
- 1:23Speaker 1: it's broken. The world is falling, right, the world is broken.
- 1:27Speaker 1: We are in this world. We're not of this world,
- 1:30Speaker 1: so we operate differently, but we're in the same planet.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Having you notice that Christians live on the planet Earth,
- 1:37Speaker 1: just like people who are not Christians and are from
- 1:40Speaker 1: different faiths, different backgrounds, a man, different belief systems. So
- 1:44Speaker 1: we are here facing the same challenges everybody else's face,
- 1:49Speaker 1: everybody else faces, but we deal with it. According to
- 1:53Speaker 1: the scriptures, we have Holy spirited living inside of us,
- 1:56Speaker 1: so we operate different we move differently. At least we
- 1:59Speaker 1: should be moving differently, right, So how do Christians deal
- 2:03Speaker 1: with sickness? So I wrote this down In times of sickness?
- 2:09Speaker 1: Christians lean on their faith, trusting in God's love and
- 2:15Speaker 1: care and seek his guidance and wisdom. And then we
- 2:19Speaker 1: go to the doctor. Heymen, we do what's more powerful.
- 2:25Speaker 1: We go to the Lord Jesus. First. I'm not saying,
- 2:28Speaker 1: you know, just stay home, pray, don't worry about the doctor.
- 2:32Speaker 1: I'm saying where do we go first? We're going to
- 2:34Speaker 1: be at James chapter five, versus number fourteen and fifteen.
- 2:39Speaker 1: And this is going to seem odd to a lot
- 2:41Speaker 1: of people of what we should do or when we
- 2:44Speaker 1: find ourselves sick or ill or struck with some kind
- 2:47Speaker 1: of disease, how we move is way different and than
- 2:53Speaker 1: any other religion, than any belief system out there. We're
- 2:59Speaker 1: instructed to do move differently. Amen. I don't want to
- 3:03Speaker 1: spoil it. We're going to re read it in James
- 3:06Speaker 1: chapter five, verses fourteen and fifteen. So if you have
- 3:09Speaker 1: any questions, comments, concerns, or any prayer requests, please don't
- 3:13Speaker 1: hesitate to leave it on the live chat. That is
- 3:15Speaker 1: exactly is exactly what we're here for. We need to connect.
- 3:19Speaker 1: We want to connect, Amen, I want to connect with you.
- 3:22Speaker 1: And we were launching our adult Bible study. Amen, for
- 3:26Speaker 1: those who were on there, I didn't realize it was
- 3:29Speaker 1: in twenty twenty three, so it's been a little bit, Amen,
- 3:33Speaker 1: But bringing it back Lord willing a Man, It's already
- 3:36Speaker 1: in the works. Private podcast. There's a link in the details,
- 3:41Speaker 1: a link that you could click on to sign up
- 3:45Speaker 1: for one hundred percent free to sign up, Amen, and
- 3:49Speaker 1: you'll get the details via email and via text. Amen.
- 3:53Speaker 1: So thank you so much for your interests. If you're
- 3:56Speaker 1: interested in having an adult discussion, can we talk like adults?
- 4:00Speaker 1: So I created a platform where we could do that,
- 4:03Speaker 1: and we could come together as adults and talk about
- 4:08Speaker 1: adult things. You notice that I don't generally, I don't
- 4:12Speaker 1: speak about some things that normally adults will speak about
- 4:17Speaker 1: because we're on social media platforms. So I respect children,
- 4:23Speaker 1: I respect younger people. Amen. I wouldn't want my daughter
- 4:26Speaker 1: exposed to certain messages at her age now, so I
- 4:31Speaker 1: respect that for other parents too. So created a private platform.
- 4:35Speaker 1: It's been online for a minute now. It's just that
- 4:38Speaker 1: I have to relaunch it in a way where we
- 4:41Speaker 1: could get more people aware of where to go for
- 4:44Speaker 1: those morning well not more than DeVos at Bible studies
- 4:48Speaker 1: for adults. Amen. So excuse me while I share this
- 4:52Speaker 1: to the groups so that way they know we're here.
- 4:55Speaker 1: So let's go for it. Amen. Well pray first you
- 4:59Speaker 1: know what we've Amen, And after we pray, we'll shut
- 5:02Speaker 1: this out for like sixty seconds, and then when we
- 5:04Speaker 1: come back on the other side of those sixty seconds,
- 5:07Speaker 1: we'll try to tackle this question today. How do Christians
- 5:11Speaker 1: deal with sickness? Father, I thank you for your healing power.
- 5:16Speaker 1: First and foremost, I thank you that you instructed us
- 5:18Speaker 1: to do things differently when we are struck with sickness, disease,
- 5:23Speaker 1: and illness. I pray Lo God, healing cleansing to our
- 5:26Speaker 1: bodies physically, emotionally and spiritually every organ. Lord God, that
- 5:31Speaker 1: you would illuminate your light and touch every single organ
- 5:34Speaker 1: of our bodies that is aching, that is feeling sick,
- 5:39Speaker 1: that is not functioning properly. I pray lo God, your
- 5:42Speaker 1: healing power over myself, over every single person that's dealing
- 5:45Speaker 1: with the illness and sickness right now. And I thank you,
- 5:48Speaker 1: Lor God, for your health, your strength and your protection
- 5:51Speaker 1: that you give us. In the holy name of Jesus.
- 5:54Speaker 1: I pray, Lord God, I had your protection over every
- 5:56Speaker 1: single person, including myself, my wife, and my family, children,
- 6:00Speaker 1: our grandchildren, and the name of Jesus, that you would
- 6:03Speaker 1: set forth archrey angels to annihilate the tactics of the enemy.
- 6:07Speaker 1: That you would give us a clear mind, eye to see,
- 6:10Speaker 1: a mouth to speak, and Lord God, that we will
- 6:12Speaker 1: walk in righteousness and holiness, and we will walk in
- 6:15Speaker 1: the light of Christ, not in the darkness of men.
- 6:18Speaker 1: And now in the darkness of our flesh, we would
- 6:20Speaker 1: con see the walking the light and seek truth and
- 6:23Speaker 1: know that you are the Way, the truth, and the life.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Thank you for revealing yourself to us. And thank you,
- 6:28Speaker 1: Lord God, that you place holy Spirit, living and breathing
- 6:31Speaker 1: inside of every one of your children. And for those
- 6:33Speaker 1: Lord God that do not know you yet, I pray
- 6:36Speaker 1: Lord God, that your Holy Spirit will touch them today
- 6:39Speaker 1: or by the time they watch this video or listen
- 6:42Speaker 1: to this podcast. I pray Lord God, that you, Lord God,
- 6:45Speaker 1: will develop a way that they could communicate with you,
- 6:49Speaker 1: and that they will get into a personal relationship with you,
- 6:53Speaker 1: and they will get the promise of eternal life as well.
- 6:57Speaker 1: And Jesus name, myfraend is about faith. And all those
- 6:59Speaker 1: who agree with this prayer, we say Amen to the
- 7:01Speaker 1: Amen helped me shure this out. Sixty seconds. When we
- 7:04Speaker 1: come back, we'll get right into today's morning Devil. I'll
- 7:07Speaker 1: be right back. Hey man, I'm challenge with It's a
- 8:58Speaker 1: good challenge though, to get on all the groups that
- 9:02Speaker 1: I'm on. Amen, So I'm gonna ask the question. I
- 9:05Speaker 1: know I've been asking it a lot. If you know
- 9:06Speaker 1: of an app that allows you to share to all
- 9:09Speaker 1: your groups on social media as soon as you go live,
- 9:12Speaker 1: let me know. I'm definitely in a search for that app.
- 9:16Speaker 1: And I don't know if it's developed. It might be
- 9:18Speaker 1: a lot of it might be way more complicated than
- 9:21Speaker 1: how I'm thinking it. If you see that a man,
- 9:24Speaker 1: let a brother know sis a joyce, I see you.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Good morning, God, bless you, Welcome back to the morning. Devol. Yes,
- 9:29Speaker 1: praise the Lord. We're gonna praise him today and every
- 9:31Speaker 1: day a man because he deserves it. He deserves all
- 9:34Speaker 1: the praise, deserves all the praise on a worship, all
- 9:37Speaker 1: of it. A man. He deserves it. Thank you so
- 9:40Speaker 1: much for coming through my system and my friend. So
- 9:42Speaker 1: let's go for it. Let me get this on the
- 9:44Speaker 1: screen for those who are just listening at soone is
- 9:47Speaker 1: with a z dot org to celebrate a network. Thank
- 9:49Speaker 1: you so much for coming and listening. We're gonna read
- 9:52Speaker 1: it word for word. You're not gonna see the images obviously,
- 9:56Speaker 1: because you're probably driving, working out right, walking, or you know,
- 10:00Speaker 1: doing housework or whatever the case. Audio is powerful. Right,
- 10:04Speaker 1: we could come together and just listen, and the power
- 10:07Speaker 1: of listening to the Word of God is just as powerful,
- 10:11Speaker 1: or even more powerful than looking at images on the screen.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I believe that audio is more powerful than video. That's
- 10:17Speaker 1: just my opinion, Amen, because what came out first audio? Right,
- 10:22Speaker 1: Let's go for it. Oops, let me go back here, Amen,
- 10:26Speaker 1: I didn't even get the scream ready. I'm over here
- 10:28Speaker 1: so excited. I'm trying. So let's go for it. There
- 10:31Speaker 1: you go, Here, we go pet this on the screen.
- 10:35Speaker 1: How do Christians deal with sickness? And spoiler alert for
- 10:40Speaker 1: those who thought Christians never got sick, we do get sick.
- 10:44Speaker 1: It's part of the broken system that Genesis chapter three
- 10:49Speaker 1: when Adam and Eve disobeyed Holy Father right, and the
- 10:55Speaker 1: result of that, and the consequence of that is that
- 10:58Speaker 1: now we have to deal with sickness, disease, death, illness
- 11:01Speaker 1: and all of that. But while we're dealing with it, Amen,
- 11:05Speaker 1: we don't deal with sickness and disease and all that
- 11:08Speaker 1: that comes in this world the same way that the
- 11:11Speaker 1: world does. Amen. We have a different way of doing
- 11:14Speaker 1: this or dealing with this, Amen. And we have a community.
- 11:18Speaker 1: We have brothers and sisters in Christ, that we could
- 11:21Speaker 1: come alongside and for helping guidance as God works through
- 11:26Speaker 1: us for one another. And this is what it says.
- 11:29Speaker 1: The apostle James says it the best. He asks the
- 11:33Speaker 1: question James Shot five verses fourteen and fifteen, is anyone
- 11:38Speaker 1: among you sick? That's a question? And humble yourself if
- 11:42Speaker 1: you are amen, I'm humbling myself. Right. He must call
- 11:47Speaker 1: for the elders, spiritual leaders of the church, and they
- 11:52Speaker 1: are to pray over him first and foremost. We go
- 11:55Speaker 1: to the elders of the church. And this is of
- 11:58Speaker 1: course based on a holy spirit filled church with leadership
- 12:03Speaker 1: that's filled with holy spirit God. I'm not talking about cults.
- 12:06Speaker 1: I'm not talking about religion. I'm talking about brothers and
- 12:09Speaker 1: sisters who are elders in the church who have a
- 12:12Speaker 1: personal relationship with the Living God filled with his spirit.
- 12:17Speaker 1: We go to the elders, spiritual leaders of the church,
- 12:20Speaker 1: and what's gonna happen. And they are to pray over us,
- 12:24Speaker 1: pray over him, pray over her, annoing thing him or
- 12:28Speaker 1: her with oil in the name of the Lord. And
- 12:33Speaker 1: the prayer of faith will restore the one who is sick.
- 12:40Speaker 1: This is faith beyond faith. Right, this is like, we
- 12:44Speaker 1: know that the prayer of faith will restore the one
- 12:49Speaker 1: who is sick. This is God's word, not my word.
- 12:53Speaker 1: And the Lord will raise him up, and if he
- 12:57Speaker 1: has committed sins, he or she will be forgiven. Every
- 13:04Speaker 1: time I look at the last part of the scriptures,
- 13:06Speaker 1: I'm like, so sickness right, and sin seems to be
- 13:14Speaker 1: in the sane category. And the Lord will raise him
- 13:18Speaker 1: up and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Apostle Paul, I excuse me, Apostle James filled with Holy spirit.
- 13:27Speaker 1: God is mentioning that when we go to the church leaders,
- 13:31Speaker 1: the spiritual leaders of the church, I pray the anoint
- 13:35Speaker 1: us with oil right in the name of the Lord,
- 13:38Speaker 1: and the prayer of faith because Jesus is the prayer
- 13:44Speaker 1: that we're praying too, and we have faith in the Lord.
- 13:48Speaker 1: And it's the Lord who will restore the one who
- 13:51Speaker 1: is sick, and the Lord will raise him up and
- 13:55Speaker 1: if he has committed sins. So it's like, is there
- 13:59Speaker 1: a connection here with sickness and sin? Well, I have news.
- 14:05Speaker 1: James comes with good news. You will be forgiven. I
- 14:10Speaker 1: will be forgiven you will be forgiven, he or she
- 14:12Speaker 1: will be forgiven because we're doing it according to the scriptures.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Then well, I'll get to my notes and i'll explain.
- 14:23Speaker 1: So I know you're probably asking questions in your mind,
- 14:26Speaker 1: but what happens after that? I'm gonna share that right now,
- 14:31Speaker 1: ay man, because I looked it up and I was like, yeah,
- 14:33Speaker 1: what happens after that? What about the other person that's
- 14:37Speaker 1: being prayed for doesn't have faith? Right? So what happens
- 14:41Speaker 1: after that? Because I asked the same question when I've
- 14:45Speaker 1: read this scripture when I'm preparing for this morning devo,
- 14:48Speaker 1: I was like, there has to be more, even though
- 14:53Speaker 1: that is more than enough, but practically, let's see. So
- 15:00Speaker 1: when we're dealing with sickness as believers, as Christians, we
- 15:04Speaker 1: deal with it differently. We have demonstrations of how Jesus
- 15:09Speaker 1: himself healed people. I'm just gonna cite the scriptures Matthew,
- 15:14Speaker 1: Chapter four, twenty three and twenty four Acts, Chapter three,
- 15:19Speaker 1: verses six to eight. God is one hundred percent able
- 15:27Speaker 1: to heal in miraculous ways. We already know that God
- 15:31Speaker 1: performs signs of miracles and wonders daily. There's no shortage
- 15:34Speaker 1: of miracles. When it comes to our Messiah and man
- 15:38Speaker 1: he performed signs, miracles and wonders. He's still healing people,
- 15:41Speaker 1: still saving people, still delivering people. We know that, but
- 15:47Speaker 1: knowing that, we also have to understand that we live
- 15:50Speaker 1: in a fallen world. That's why we need miracles. We
- 15:53Speaker 1: need miracles because we're in a broken system, a broken world.
- 15:56Speaker 1: We need God only you a miracle. We need a
- 15:59Speaker 1: miracle from You, Lord. That's why we pray that way
- 16:02Speaker 1: because if we were not in a broken system, miracles
- 16:06Speaker 1: won't even be asked for, because we'll be experienced in miracles,
- 16:10Speaker 1: will be so used to and accustomed to miracles because
- 16:14Speaker 1: God is a miracle and he saves us and that's
- 16:16Speaker 1: another miracle. Amen. So if you get where I'm going right, So,
- 16:22Speaker 1: because we live in a fall and broken world, there's
- 16:25Speaker 1: going to be sickness and suffering. Amen. Sickness is suffering,
- 16:31Speaker 1: it doesn't exist. And sometimes God allows us to go
- 16:35Speaker 1: through these challenges for reasons that if you ask me why,
- 16:40Speaker 1: I'm going to tell I don't know. And if I
- 16:42Speaker 1: ask you why, you'll probably tell me I don't know.
- 16:45Speaker 1: But there's a greater purpose that if God allows and
- 16:49Speaker 1: I already had this discussing discussion with my wife, with
- 16:52Speaker 1: my family. God allows something sickness to hit me in
- 16:57Speaker 1: a way, right, It's going to be for greater purpose,
- 17:01Speaker 1: and I'm gonna trust him all the way through it.
- 17:04Speaker 1: I'm not gonna like it. I'm not gonna feel good obviously,
- 17:08Speaker 1: you know. I just don't want people to be hurt.
- 17:11Speaker 1: What's sad for me is that when we are struck
- 17:14Speaker 1: with sickness or disease or anything like that, the family
- 17:17Speaker 1: is hurting. So it's very important, at least on my end,
- 17:22Speaker 1: to lead my family to believe in the Lord that's
- 17:26Speaker 1: sovereign in control of all sickness disease, and he could,
- 17:29Speaker 1: he could work miracles, signs and wonners. But if he doesn't,
- 17:32Speaker 1: if he allows us to go through it, it's gonna
- 17:35Speaker 1: be for purposes that Honestly, I don't think anybody knows
- 17:39Speaker 1: because we don't know that end of it. But God does,
- 17:42Speaker 1: so we need to trust him. So although we get sick,
- 17:50Speaker 1: we also have this. We find comfort and we find
- 17:54Speaker 1: hope in understanding and knowing that God is with us
- 18:01Speaker 1: in our suffering. He's not outside of it watching us
- 18:05Speaker 1: and saying oh, you know, take a benadryl, take an adavil,
- 18:08Speaker 1: or take a Tyler law and call me tomorrow. That's
- 18:11Speaker 1: not our God. God is in there with us in
- 18:15Speaker 1: the struggle, in the sickness, and he's able to bring
- 18:18Speaker 1: about healing in so many different ways. People could testify
- 18:23Speaker 1: right now if I ask people, listen, when you were sick,
- 18:26Speaker 1: when you had this, when you had that, how did
- 18:27Speaker 1: God show up in your life? Everybody will come with
- 18:29Speaker 1: different and various ways of how Jesus shows up. Amen.
- 18:33Speaker 1: And by the way, he shows up on time. So
- 18:37Speaker 1: sometimes he heals miraculously. Sometimes he works through medical professionals. Right,
- 18:43Speaker 1: So Christians should not be against going to the doctor,
- 18:47Speaker 1: but I think we need to do things in order.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Go to the Lord first, go to the elders of
- 18:52Speaker 1: the church. Secondly, right, and we're still going in the
- 18:56Speaker 1: Lord first and amen, And if you don't get the
- 19:00Speaker 1: miraculous healing right there on the spot, you still feel
- 19:02Speaker 1: sick illness still hitting us. Then we go to doctors,
- 19:06Speaker 1: but go there preyed up. The medical field is a
- 19:10Speaker 1: place where a lot of the doctors right are only
- 19:16Speaker 1: dealing with what they see, and some of them, or
- 19:20Speaker 1: a lot of them, I don't know, are not believers
- 19:22Speaker 1: or not. They're so accustomed to seeing what's going on
- 19:27Speaker 1: and trying to deal with what they see. We as believers,
- 19:31Speaker 1: we don't have to see. Amen. We believe before we see,
- 19:36Speaker 1: and we go and we're instructed to go to the
- 19:38Speaker 1: elders of the church, and we're instructed to go. I
- 19:40Speaker 1: always go to the law first. Any symptom, I go
- 19:43Speaker 1: to the Lord and ask them. I know it myself
- 19:45Speaker 1: with oil, and I ask the Lord, please show me,
- 19:49Speaker 1: give me a understanding, give me wisdom. Amen, how do
- 19:52Speaker 1: I deal with this? And of course if I have
- 19:54Speaker 1: to go to doctor, I have to go to doctor.
- 19:57Speaker 1: It's like my last resort though, I amen me personally,
- 20:02Speaker 1: I wait until things just go away. If it doesn't
- 20:05Speaker 1: go away, Amen, I already did the first part. I
- 20:09Speaker 1: did the second part. Now I'm gonna go to the doctor. Amen.
- 20:12Speaker 1: I'm just saying, of course, if it's an emergency, you
- 20:15Speaker 1: go to the doctor. But I suggest that you call
- 20:18Speaker 1: somebody that believes a man and have them praying for
- 20:21Speaker 1: you as you're on your way to the doctor. I
- 20:25Speaker 1: just believe that way. I believe it's powerful. That way.
- 20:27Speaker 1: God sees everything A man, he doesn't need my help.
- 20:29Speaker 1: He doesn't need your help. But something about acknowledging God
- 20:33Speaker 1: in the midst of your sickness, it's like next level.
- 20:38Speaker 1: He provides comfort, Amen, and he's with you, and you
- 20:41Speaker 1: could feel his presence, Amen. Very important to feel his presence.
- 20:46Speaker 1: So he works through medical professionals and we could get treatments,
- 20:51Speaker 1: we could get medication. And sometimes he provides comfort and
- 20:55Speaker 1: strength to endure all the time. Actually, I don't know
- 20:59Speaker 1: why I would say sometimes my notes, all the time,
- 21:01Speaker 1: he provides comfort and strength to endure. Second Corinthians, chattering
- 21:05Speaker 1: up with twelve verse number nine. We were dealt with
- 21:07Speaker 1: that the other day, like men Philippians four thirteen. We
- 21:10Speaker 1: do all things to Christ, who gives us the strength.
- 21:13Speaker 1: So our ultimate healing, though, our ultimate healing, listen to this,
- 21:19Speaker 1: comes through our salvation in Christ. And I know it's
- 21:23Speaker 1: like I'm bypassing sickness. I'm not. Our ultimate healing comes
- 21:29Speaker 1: from our salvation in Christ. As we are forgiven right
- 21:34Speaker 1: like James said, we're forgiven, we're cleansed, and we're made
- 21:39Speaker 1: new in Him. I think that makes us go further
- 21:43Speaker 1: than pretty much anybody else on this planet. That we
- 21:47Speaker 1: know who we know is our healer. We know that
- 21:51Speaker 1: Jesus is the great physician. He mean, the greatest physician ever.
- 21:57Speaker 1: But if he allows us to go through something, to contine,
- 22:00Speaker 1: to hold his hand and trust him through it. Man,
- 22:03Speaker 1: I'm seeing way too much illness in my family. I'm
- 22:06Speaker 1: seeing way too much cancer in the world with friends
- 22:10Speaker 1: and everybody, and I, you know, I ask God, just
- 22:14Speaker 1: like everybody else is asking why cancer like that thing?
- 22:18Speaker 1: That thing is horrible? And then the treatment I don't
- 22:21Speaker 1: even you know, I probably get banned for this, but
- 22:25Speaker 1: I don't believe in those treatments. Man, it's fun experience
- 22:29Speaker 1: of what one of my family members is going through.
- 22:31Speaker 1: I don't I don't see the sense and the treatments
- 22:35Speaker 1: of cancer. I'm not gonna tell you which treatment it is. Amen.
- 22:37Speaker 1: I'm not a doctor, obviously, but I just don't understand it.
- 22:41Speaker 1: And praise God if people have been healed through the
- 22:45Speaker 1: medical process of cancer treatment. But I'm saying I don't.
- 22:51Speaker 1: I don't. I don't buy it. And because I don't
- 22:54Speaker 1: buy I'm a stand on my own personal conviction and
- 22:58Speaker 1: for whatever reason God, as we travel down that road,
- 23:03Speaker 1: I don't know, you know, just pray for your brother
- 23:05Speaker 1: a man off that whatever happen, but I'm gonna do
- 23:08Speaker 1: it according to I'm gonna go to the I'm gonna
- 23:10Speaker 1: go to the Lord first. Amen. I'm always always going
- 23:13Speaker 1: to the Lord. So that's pretty much taken care of.
- 23:15Speaker 1: That's that's a no brander. And then I'm gonna go
- 23:17Speaker 1: to the elders, my spiritual leaders on my church, who
- 23:20Speaker 1: all fill with holy spirit. Thank you Jesus that I
- 23:23Speaker 1: know elders and spiritual leaders, the men that us fill
- 23:26Speaker 1: with holy spirit. God, let them annoint me with oil.
- 23:30Speaker 1: Pray to healing prayers, Amen, and I'll be forgiven for
- 23:34Speaker 1: whatever sins are connected. I guess to those to that sickness,
- 23:38Speaker 1: I believe there's a connection there. Amen. I'm not a theologian,
- 23:41Speaker 1: but every time I read those scriptures and James, it
- 23:44Speaker 1: looks like there's a connection there. But on both ends
- 23:47Speaker 1: were healed and forgiven. God is that good. So in
- 23:51Speaker 1: times of sickness, it's important to lean lean heavily on
- 23:55Speaker 1: our faith in Christ. Continue to lean on the Lord,
- 23:59Speaker 1: continue to ask him for understanding, wisdom, for strength, Amen,
- 24:04Speaker 1: and He'll do it. Trust in God's love, Trust in
- 24:07Speaker 1: God's care. And seek His guide in some wisdom. An
- 24:11Speaker 1: amazing opportunity we have that I don't think anybody else has.
- 24:16Speaker 1: If you're not a believer, you don't have this. It's
- 24:19Speaker 1: amazing that people are still going on in these years
- 24:23Speaker 1: that we're living in, just like disregarding an opportunity to
- 24:27Speaker 1: get into a personal relationship with the healer, with the Savior,
- 24:31Speaker 1: with the Lord, Amen, the one who has eternal life,
- 24:35Speaker 1: the one who can miraculous, miraculously save us through sickness
- 24:41Speaker 1: and disease, and can heal us instantaneously. And people just
- 24:45Speaker 1: disregard that and they go straight to the medical field, which,
- 24:49Speaker 1: like I said, I'll have none against doctors and going
- 24:52Speaker 1: to the doctors. But I'm talking to Christians, Amen, how
- 24:55Speaker 1: do we deal with sickness? What we do, what God's
- 24:58Speaker 1: Word says to do? First of foremost, we could go
- 25:02Speaker 1: to all the scriptures. There's so many about being healed
- 25:05Speaker 1: from sickness all through the Old Testament and New Testament.
- 25:09Speaker 1: How about that meditate on the Word. How about that
- 25:12Speaker 1: going to the spiritual leaders of the church. How about
- 25:14Speaker 1: that un north and self for oil? How about that? Amen?
- 25:18Speaker 1: I'm not going to disregard everything that the word says,
- 25:21Speaker 1: when we're dealing with sickness, and then go straight to
- 25:24Speaker 1: the doctor hopeless. Amen, even though doctors could provide hope.
- 25:28Speaker 1: I've met Christian doctors. They're different. Praise God that we
- 25:33Speaker 1: have doctors that are believers. They move differently their fellow
- 25:40Speaker 1: doctors and fellow you associates, and they don't like it,
- 25:46Speaker 1: but they move differently. It's just who they are in Christ.
- 25:50Speaker 1: So not only do they have medical information in their
- 25:55Speaker 1: mind and they have education, amen, and they know about
- 25:58Speaker 1: the anatomy, also have Holy Spirit guiding them with wisdom
- 26:03Speaker 1: a man as well. Amazing. So if you're a Christian doctor,
- 26:08Speaker 1: I salute you, Amen. Thank you so much for believing
- 26:11Speaker 1: and trusting in God first and then taking care of
- 26:14Speaker 1: your patience medically. I know some nurses and doctors that
- 26:20Speaker 1: are born again and they move differently, and it's so
- 26:24Speaker 1: good to know that they're in the medical field. I
- 26:27Speaker 1: know probably where they're at, they probably are told things
- 26:31Speaker 1: and they're told not to say things and X y Z,
- 26:35Speaker 1: but their life already is flowing into things of God.
- 26:39Speaker 1: So when you see them, you know that they're different.
- 26:42Speaker 1: So in times of sickness, it's important to lean on
- 26:44Speaker 1: your faith, trust in God's love and care, and seek
- 26:47Speaker 1: his guidance, guidance and wisdom. Seek the Lord's guidance and
- 26:51Speaker 1: wisdom when a Christian is sick. That's what we do, right, Well,
- 26:56Speaker 1: that's what we should do. I'm encouraging you to do
- 26:59Speaker 1: what the Word said. You can also pray for comfort,
- 27:03Speaker 1: also pray for peace and strength for yourself and your
- 27:06Speaker 1: loved ones during this time. Because remember, when someone in
- 27:12Speaker 1: the family is sick, then our loved ones are hurting
- 27:15Speaker 1: as well. They might not feel the same symptoms, but
- 27:18Speaker 1: they're hurting, so we pray for them for comfort and
- 27:20Speaker 1: peace as well as we go through it. Amen. So
- 27:23Speaker 1: I'm out of time here, but man, remember that God
- 27:26Speaker 1: is always working for our ultimate good, even in the
- 27:30Speaker 1: midst of sickness and suffering. That's important to know, James,
- 27:37Speaker 1: chapter number five. Read the whole chapter for yourself. We
- 27:39Speaker 1: hung out in verses fourteen and fifteen, and man, let's
- 27:43Speaker 1: do it. Let's do it according to the Word, and
- 27:45Speaker 1: then watch the Word of God respond, Amen, and perform
- 27:49Speaker 1: what the Word is intended to perform in your life
- 27:52Speaker 1: and in my life. So that's how Christians deal with sickness.
- 27:55Speaker 1: At least I'm skimming the surface. Amen. Is a lot
- 27:58Speaker 1: more to it. But this is a morning evil and
- 28:01Speaker 1: we keep it right there. So thank you so much
- 28:03Speaker 1: for hanging out with me. Amen, pray for me. I
- 28:06Speaker 1: can seem to pray for you. Amen. A lot of
- 28:08Speaker 1: people are getting sick because of this virus or whatever
- 28:11Speaker 1: is happening in our world right now in the atmosphere.
- 28:15Speaker 1: But we have a God who heals, God who saves.
- 28:17Speaker 1: We have the elders and spiritual leaders in the church
- 28:19Speaker 1: that we could go to Amen and anoint thiss with
- 28:22Speaker 1: oil and the prayers of faith. Amen. God will work
- 28:26Speaker 1: through that, and then what he wants done will happen
- 28:30Speaker 1: in Jesus name right. So God bless you all. God
- 28:33Speaker 1: keep you all, and remember always that God is Good. Peace.
