- 0:04Speaker 1: what let's face it times are tough everyone likes.
- 0:07Speaker 2: To reminisce and just feel good.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Again you know yeah and if you're like me and
- 0:11Speaker 1: my brother we didn't live in a very very good
- 0:13Speaker 1: neighborhood but we don't remember any of the bad parts
- 0:15Speaker 1: about the neighborhood remember how simple things were and they
- 0:19Speaker 1: the the question that's been floating through reddit is what's
- 0:23Speaker 1: one childhood memory that you would like to go back
- 0:25Speaker 1: and relive For.
- 0:27Speaker 3: The first time.
- 0:27Speaker 1: For the first time.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Oh, that's so good.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Like, I mean, I picked, I remember that my mom
- 0:32Speaker 1: on Sunday nights, we didn't know we were poor based
- 0:34Speaker 1: on Sunday night dinner because we ate on Sunday night.
- 0:37Speaker 1: And my mom made really good fried chicken in the
- 0:40Speaker 1: pressure cooker. I don't even know if they have pressure
- 0:42Speaker 1: cookers anymore. They do.
- 0:43Speaker 4: They do?
- 0:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 0:45Speaker 2: They're called Instant Pops.
- 0:46Speaker 1: But I remember that was so delicious. And you put
- 0:50Speaker 1: some honey on it. And you got no worries on
- 0:52Speaker 1: a Sunday night except for school on Monday morning. I
- 0:54Speaker 1: was wondering if you guys had one of those memories
- 0:56Speaker 1: you would like to throw it back to for your nostalgia.
- 0:59Speaker 6: A childhood memory that you're going to live through for
- 1:01Speaker 6: the first time again. Kyle, you?
- 1:04Speaker 3: I would say Christmas morning. Oh, that's a good one.
- 1:07Speaker 6: I would say my dad coming home with lipstick on
- 1:09Speaker 6: his collar and my mom getting mad and screaming and
- 1:11Speaker 6: yelling and he got in a huge fight. My dad
- 1:13Speaker 6: threw the shirt into the wicker hamper and he cried
- 1:18Speaker 6: and cried and I got to stay up all night
- 1:19Speaker 6: and watch TV.
- 1:19Speaker 3: You would love to. I was like, this rocks. I
- 1:22Speaker 3: don't have to go to bed? What did you watch?
- 1:24Speaker 6: I watched, it was a Gene Kelly Fred Astaire cartoon
- 1:26Speaker 6: because we only had a black and white TV.
- 1:28Speaker 3: That's ridiculous. And they danced with Jerry from Tom and Jerry.
- 1:32Speaker 3: I remember like it was yesterday.
- 1:33Speaker 7: Oh.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Yeah, so that's my memory. What about you, Peyton? It
- 1:35Speaker 3: says a lot about you.
- 1:36Speaker 2: For me, it would be night games in my neighborhood
- 1:39Speaker 2: when all of our friends would come and knock on
- 1:40Speaker 2: the door and be like, can Peyton come and play?
- 1:42Speaker 2: And we'd all hop on our bikes and we'd play
- 1:44Speaker 2: Capture the Flag and it was so fun.
- 1:46Speaker 3: I love that. Hey, Chris, how about you?
- 1:48Speaker 6: What's a childhood memory you can go back to, you
- 1:50Speaker 6: want to go back to one time when it first happened?
- 1:53Speaker 5: So when I was growing up, I'm not sure exactly
- 1:57Speaker 5: how old I was, but my mom and dad had
- 2:02Speaker 5: grown up in Boston. Most of my relatives lived there,
- 2:07Speaker 5: and my mom and dad had moved to Colorado because
- 2:11Speaker 5: my dad needed to live in the drier Colorado climate
- 2:15Speaker 5: than the humidity in Massachusetts. So he went to court
- 2:19Speaker 5: reporting school. I came from a family with seven kids.
- 2:24Speaker 5: In order to travel to go back and see our relatives,
- 2:27Speaker 5: my dad bought a school bus, probably spent $ 300 on it.
- 2:32Speaker 5: He had one of his friends help him renovate it,
- 2:35Speaker 5: put cots in it, a little kitchen, the whole nine yards.
- 2:38Speaker 5: Sounds awesome. And we took that back to Boston.
- 2:44Speaker 3: I know.
- 2:44Speaker 5: I'm not sure how many times until we absolutely couldn't
- 2:48Speaker 5: drive it there anymore.
- 2:49Speaker 3: That's fun. That's a great memory. Yeah, it sounds great.
- 2:51Speaker 3: It was a great memory. Well, thank you, Chris.
- 2:55Speaker 5: Can you imagine seven kids on a school bus?
- 2:58Speaker 7: No.
- 2:58Speaker 3: I've been on a school bus with 30 kids. I
- 3:01Speaker 3: can't imagine. I like when you're living in it.
- 3:04Speaker 2: You know, that's cool.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Thanks, Chris. Gillian, what's a childhood memory?
- 3:09Speaker 5: Mine's getting dropped off at the mall with my friends
- 3:12Speaker 5: when we were, like.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Way too young to be there alone.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:16Speaker 5: Like, my mom would, like, hand me 20 bucks and, like,
- 3:19Speaker 5: just leave and be like, I'll see you in six hours.
- 3:22Speaker 3: 20 bucks?
- 3:23Speaker 1: Like, right?
- 3:24Speaker 5: We were, like, 12. You were loaded.
- 3:27Speaker 1: You know, we were, like, walking around Victoria's Secret and, like,
- 3:30Speaker 1: smelling lotion and stuff. Yes.
- 3:32Speaker 7: Buddy.
- 3:33Speaker 3: That reminds me of another childhood memory of mine.
- 3:35Speaker 5: Oh, yes.
- 3:36Speaker 3: I remember because you brought this up.
- 3:38Speaker 6: I remember my dad having to go pick up my
- 3:40Speaker 6: sister and her friends from the movies and he was drunk.
- 3:44Speaker 6: And he came home, and my mom, and he was
- 3:47Speaker 6: swerving in the hallway. He couldn't stand straight. And my
- 3:49Speaker 6: mom started screaming at him and yelling at him, how
- 3:51Speaker 6: dare you pick up our daughter and her friend drunk driving?
- 3:53Speaker 6: They had a huge fight. And I got to stay
- 3:55Speaker 6: up late and watch TV all night long. Because they
- 3:58Speaker 6: had a huge fight.
- 3:58Speaker 3: That really reminded you of that. I was like, I
- 4:00Speaker 3: could stay up all night and watch TV? These are
- 4:04Speaker 3: good memories for you. Reagan, good morning. You got a
- 4:09Speaker 3: childhood memory?
- 4:10Speaker 7: I truly want to experience having a crush on my
- 4:14Speaker 7: best friend's.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Older brother again.
- 4:16Speaker 7: Because why was that the literally most intoxicating relationship of
- 4:21Speaker 7: my life? But he barely knew I existed, you know?
- 4:26Speaker 5: So I remember I would sleep over.
- 4:29Speaker 7: At her house and just, you know, make my way
- 4:33Speaker 7: down to the kitchen 14 times because maybe.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Her 16-year-old father would be in there.
- 4:40Speaker 5: Like, I don't know why, but.
- 4:47Speaker 5: Me to just like hand.
- 4:48Speaker 7: Him the remote and I literally wrote in my diary
- 4:53Speaker 7: about it like delusionally tonight something happened between us like
- 4:59Speaker 7: bitch you passed him a remote I don't know it
- 5:02Speaker 7: was delusional but thrilling I love that for you yeah.
- 5:10Speaker 5: So good that would.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Be it little did you know your romance peaked right.
- 5:14Speaker 7: There yeah I mean, genuinely, it was just a great time.
- 5:18Speaker 3: It was a good story. Thank you. Gary, what's your
- 5:21Speaker 3: childhood memory you'd like to relive one more time?

- 5:26Speaker 5: Happiest place on earth.
- 5:28Speaker 1: My dad would drop us off.
- 5:29Speaker 4: And all day there, eat lots of junk food and
- 5:32Speaker 4: spend time with your friends.
- 5:33Speaker 8: Yes.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Listen to great music going around the rink.

- 5:46Speaker 3: You don't really meet a girl named Gary. That's pretty cool.
- 5:49Speaker 3: What's the story behind that?
- 5:52Speaker 4: I was a twin, and my mom didn't know until
- 5:54Speaker 4: 10 hours before she had us, and so I threw
- 5:57Speaker 4: the short end of the stick.
- 5:58Speaker 3: And is your brother's name Jessica?
- 6:01Speaker 5: No, it's a girl.
- 6:03Speaker 4: Her name is Kylie.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Kylie and Gary? That is so unique.
- 6:08Speaker 2: That's actually kind of messed up. I'm sorry.
- 6:10Speaker 3: That is the most unique. I kind of feel like
- 6:12Speaker 3: she could have changed her name. She only had 10 hours.
- 6:15Speaker 3: I only got 10 hours. I can't think of another
- 6:18Speaker 3: girl name. What's your middle name? What's your middle name, Gary?
