- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's fuck ya Friday!
- 0:01[SPEAKER_01]: Fuck ya!
- 0:02[SPEAKER_01]: Get ready for some wins!
- 0:24[SPEAKER_01]: My friends, action brings clarity, and it's the antidote to fear.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_01]: Each week my guests will bring bold, executable, intrinsic, and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and be it till you see it.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's a practice, not a perfect, let's get started.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it babe, how are you happy Friday, happy November 14th?
- 0:51[SPEAKER_01]: Now we're mid way through the month, just like that.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_01]: You know, a few weeks ago, I told you about the 13th month, and I'm just telling you right now, the more I think about how.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_01]: Like, we used to run the calendar off of 28 days in the moon cycle, like, doesn't it just make sense?
- 1:05[SPEAKER_01]: Every FYF, I'm like, oh, look at that.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_01]: Now it's halfway through.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_01]: Like, yeah, kind of, right?
- 1:11[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm just saying, like, the more I do this and like with, especially this month, cause we in the Friday was a seventh of 14th.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_01]: It's just like, like, easy math and like, yeah, it should just end on the 28th and we start a new month.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_01]: But anyways, we're, you know, not on that calendar.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_01]: I would love to vote that in, but the whole world has to, I guess.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_01]: So anyways, this is the episodes where we share some inspiration, share wins of yours, share one of mine, realize that we are doing a freaking great job or doing better than we thought and a little affirmation to kick your weekend off.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_01]: And if you haven't yet, listen to the interview and recap this week, go do it.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_01]: Just wrap a lot of this.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_01]: You can start with the recap first, Brad and I have a lot of time fun bantering, then we answer a question of yours, then we talk about what we liked and if you are like, oh, that's interesting.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_01]: I want to hear it from the horses mouth.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_01]: You can listen to that if you and I highly recommend it because there's some really cool guests.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so I this came across my feed and this is what I, okay, I don't play instruments.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_01]: I did play first chair like 10 or sacks.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_01]: I had a retainer and braces when I learned and then when I took him out, I couldn't play anymore and
- 2:12[SPEAKER_01]: So I just stop playing.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: It's not funny, but at any rate, since I have in a musician, I have prepared music.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_01]: I have, I kind of memorize and so I know the effort.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_01]: But this is how the real goes.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_01]: And there's a link in the show notes.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_01]: You can go watch it.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_01]: When they told you, it's Mozart's piano concerto number 20 instead of number 23.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_01]: So she had one minute of the orchestra playing before she had a step in and play the piano.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_01]: And so here's the thing.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_01]: The caption says, it's probably every musician's worst nightmare.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_01]: Imagine you're sitting on stage ready to play your concerto and the orchestra begins to perform a completely different piece.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_01]: That's exactly what happened to the great Maria Joa Piers.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_01]: are piers in 1999.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_01]: When she stepped into her place in another pianist on short notice, in a formidable tour to force performance, piers charge, change course, and miraculously didn't miss a beat of Mozart's piano concerto number 20 and not 2023, like she had been expecting.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_01]: This stood out to me because as we're covering perfectionist and over a cheever, like I imagine how much time she probably like prepped herself for the piece that she has.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_01]: Because it's not like they have the music of one of you guys.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_01]: They just play like they're supposed to just play like it's coming out of them and there's no music in front of them and you know she
- 3:35[SPEAKER_01]: had one minute to like just feel her feelings and then step in and be it till she sees it and it is just so beautiful because imagine had she found out before the concert started.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: Then she probably could have told herself a million different things and like even
- 3:51[SPEAKER_01]: like freak yourself out in a different way, but because she didn't have that opportunity, she had to be it till she sees it as like the other performance.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_01]: And she didn't miss a beat.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_01]: And it's worth watching just to go through the emotions with her and realize like this is what you're watching someone step into their power and believe in themselves in such an awesome way.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_01]: And ladies, we can do this, right?
- 4:12[SPEAKER_01]: We can do these things.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I think we're like, oh my god, I like prepare for my meeting to be on this day.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_01]: And then something happens in the meetings and happen, and they're like, oh, but I'm ready for it.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: I'm frustrated.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_01]: My love, like, you will be more authentic than what it happens.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_01]: You might be too prepared.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_01]: You might like, so I would just say like any time an opportunity comes up.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_01]: You're like, oh, I'm not ready for this.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_01]: What if you were?
- 4:36[SPEAKER_01]: What if you were ready?
- 4:37[SPEAKER_01]: She was, it's beautiful.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like obsessed with, I've watched it several times, so I'm into it.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_01]: All right, time for winds of yours.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_01]: Get really fired up.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, these are from Instagram.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for sending them an end.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_01]: You can send your winds in to be at bod.com slash questions and then you can send longer winds and because Instagram does make them super short.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_01]: So again, like the longer ones that I've read in the past, you can send those in to be at bod.com slash questions.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_01]: Plus any questions you want me to answer?
- 4:59[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it's a great way to get answers out of me.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_01]: So Lynn Connelly 36 says covered six back to about classes this week 5 a.m. Wake and clients love them.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_01]: Holy freaking moly Lynn, you are a badass getting up at 5 a.m. and then covering six back to about classes.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you are phenomenal.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_01]: You, like, I don't even know how you did it, but we had to go.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_01]: And of course, the clients love them because you were authentically you.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_01]: And you're amazing.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_01]: Way to go.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: H.L.I.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: Pilates, great private session yesterday.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_01]: Body feels so much better.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_01]: It is a win when our bodies feel better.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: I love that you're celebrating that, each all I. I just absolutely love it because it's so easy for us to focus on when our bodies don't feel good and that you're celebrating your body feels better today is you mungus way to be at to you see it Julia, right out, I subbed a level two class in the studio where I take classes they loved it and it made my day.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because those are your people.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_01]: You know them.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_01]: You know what they need.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I'm so proud of you.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'm so happy for you.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_01]: What a win.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_01]: Guys, thank you for some of these in.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_01]: I, I just, I want more women to share things that they are doing because the dude certainly do it.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_01]: And I was raised like, don't brag, be humble, that it uh, and you want to know something.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_01]: It didn't get me anywhere.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_01]: In fact, the more people knew what I was capable of, the more opportunities came into my place.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_01]: Fun story.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't teaching for a long time.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_01]: There was a big conference that was going on on 2019.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_01]: I think it might have been 2018, 2018.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_01]: It's fall of 2018.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_01]: And I was doing a photo shoot at a big conference.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_01]: And this woman who hired teachers for another conference saw me and she had hired me for the next year's conference of her company does.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_01]: And she'd hired me for some business coaching staff that I'd applied for.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_01]: And she saw me doing some exercises on the equipment.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_01]: can you teach some classes?
- 6:52[SPEAKER_01]: And of course I was like, fuck, of course I teach what the fuck.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_01]: But then I was like, oh, she doesn't know who I am as a teacher.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_01]: She's only seeing my application for the business things.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not doing a good enough job making sure people know what I do and know what I'm good at.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 7:08[SPEAKER_01]: We got to start bragging more, babes, and that's why we have to start making Fridays at least Friday, but if not every day, a day where you celebrate what you fucking say, what you did.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_01]: And if it was, I just actually, you did my full schedule and didn't cancel anything.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_01]: That's a fucking win in high school.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_01]: There was a sign that said, every class every day, and I'm telling you that wasn't always what happened in my life, but every time I did every class in a day, I was like, yes!
- 7:31[SPEAKER_01]: I did it, I know that surprises you as we're covering perfectionist that I would cut classes.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_01]: But I really thought high school was like beneath me and I just couldn't wait to get out.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, I've got a 4.2, like this is not gonna take it away from me.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_01]: I probably could leave.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so anyways, what's my rebellious stage?
- 7:47[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I got a chair, what am I, what am I, what am I, here we go.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_01]: So here's what I'm super proud of.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_01]: Last year, around this time, I was crammed to get everything done before we left for a winter tour.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_01]: And I got sick.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_01]: And we had to look at everything that didn't get done yet and go, okay, which of these things can we not do, and for the first time ever we missed YouTube releases we did because I could not possibly film YouTube and podcasts and classes for OPC and so the podcast and the class of OPC one and YouTube lost.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_01]: And from that moment I had my team and I had to like look at the next year and change how we got things done so that I was well ahead of schedule that by the middle of November I would be done filming things not just for the end of this year but the beginning of next year so that we are not scrambling in case.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_01]: I get sick in the fall, right?
- 8:44[SPEAKER_01]: And so I'm proud to say that right now, the newsletters through being an exterior over 10.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_01]: Blasses are recorded.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_01]: And pod cast recaps are almost done, but I wear not scrambling.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_01]: I don't feel like I'm in a rush.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm really excited to go on tour, knowing that when I come back, like I'm just back in my regular schedule and not like scrambling.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_01]: So my win is, as a year ago, I had a vision,
- 9:11[SPEAKER_01]: And I was always that was the year before that was a different was like similar vision but we just keep getting better at it and why can't I have a win on something that was already a win because I'm just getting better at it and you reflect you refine new continue and that's how it goes you're not ever anything perfectly the first time and then God because then you go oh I didn't like that part actually I'm glad I didn't do that so I'm just saying
- 9:33[SPEAKER_01]: My win is I'm ahead.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_01]: I'm on track.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_01]: I did what I said I wanted to do and I, you know, I started this project a year ago.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_01]: So slave the year.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_01]: What a win for the year, not just the week.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, but I like those small wins.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_01]: I like the small wins.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, you're affirmation for the weekend.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_01]: I practice gratitude for all that I have and all that is yet to come.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_01]: I practice gratitude for all that I have and all that is yet to come.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_01]: Do you have a gratitude practice?
- 10:00[SPEAKER_01]: Do you know what the easiest thing is to do?
- 10:02[SPEAKER_01]: Take a piece of paper and just write down.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_01]: I'm grateful for the air around me.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm grateful that I'm listening to the podcast right now.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_01]: I'm grateful that I got up this morning.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_01]: All of a sudden you'll start behind and gratitude for other things.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of fun.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of unique.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_01]: I know some people poop who are gratitude, but like my therapist said to me, gratitude in judgment can't live in the same space.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_01]: And that changed everything for me.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_01]: So whenever I feel judged, you bet myself I just start listening off things I'm grateful for.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes I'm grateful that my bed is made.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_01]: I'm grateful that last week I got my nails done when I had some time.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_01]: All right, like, those are wins.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_01]: I gave my gratitude as well.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_01]: All right, baby, know what to do until next time.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_01]: Be a taste, see ya!
