- 0:06Speaker 1: Good morning, good morning, good morning, and welcome, welcome, welcome
- 0:09Speaker 1: any time. Now for our one on one with the pro,
- 0:12Speaker 1: we have this tory from Early Bird Market. How you doing,
- 0:14Speaker 1: toy good?
- 0:15Speaker 2: How are you Tom?
- 0:16Speaker 1: I'm doing pretty good. Looks like you got help today?
- 0:18Speaker 1: Huh I do?
- 0:18Speaker 2: I have my little one with me today.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Hey there, how you doing? Okay, we'll put the camera
- 0:24Speaker 1: back on mom. Then all right, So what we got
- 0:28Speaker 1: going on at early.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Bird Well we I just got back from vacation, so
- 0:34Speaker 3: that was kind of a big thing.
- 0:35Speaker 2: I haven't taken vacation for a hot minute. Uh So
- 0:38Speaker 2: that was nice, very good.
- 0:39Speaker 3: But now my brain is all switching over to my
- 0:43Speaker 3: second year birthday for Early Bird Market. It's coming up
- 0:47Speaker 3: in August, so we're going to be working on putting
- 0:49Speaker 3: together a whole lot of fun.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, I bet you are. You know, you're
- 0:54Speaker 1: growing like crazy. I mean, you got you got a nice, comfortable,
- 0:57Speaker 1: cozy little place there, and the shelves are packed. You're
- 1:04Speaker 1: not lacking of warter, No, not at all.
- 1:07Speaker 3: There's only a few items that I am missing that
- 1:10Speaker 3: I honestly can't compete with a couple of other places
- 1:13Speaker 3: like Walmart and stuff like, I'm always looking for condiments
- 1:17Speaker 3: and stuff to try to fill those holes. But honestly,
- 1:20Speaker 3: like I feel like you could come to my store
- 1:23Speaker 3: and purchase everything that you need for a grocery hall
- 1:26Speaker 3: for the most part.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Now you're gonna tell us right now what separates Early
- 1:30Speaker 1: Bird Market from anybody else on planet.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Earthy absolutely tell us.
- 1:35Speaker 3: So we are focusing on locality. We're working with the
- 1:39Speaker 3: neighbors and the community to be able to bring food
- 1:41Speaker 3: that is homemade here within the Bartlesville area or within
- 1:45Speaker 3: a fifty mile radius. The only time I reach with
- 1:49Speaker 3: outside of that is whenever someone in bartlesviill or the
- 1:53Speaker 3: surrounding area is not making that particular good, or if,
- 1:58Speaker 3: for instance, there's a lot of red tape law around
- 2:00Speaker 3: certain items, so we have to stretch a little bit
- 2:03Speaker 3: further out to find some of those items.
- 2:04Speaker 2: So everything is as local as possible. All of the.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Meats and the produce are grown regeneratively, which to me
- 2:12Speaker 3: is a step above organic, especially since organic is a
- 2:15Speaker 3: little bit more difficult for small time farmers and rancher
- 2:18Speaker 3: We get there are grants, but it can be quite
- 2:21Speaker 3: difficult for us to get a hold of, so regenerative
- 2:24Speaker 3: farming to me is superior honestly because you're working with
- 2:27Speaker 3: nature rather than against it. Where organic you still have
- 2:30Speaker 3: some yes, yes, So that's a huge thing that.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Sets separates us.
- 2:37Speaker 3: We're not worried about competing with everybody. We try to
- 2:41Speaker 3: collaborate with everyone within our community. There are other farm
- 2:44Speaker 3: hubs like in Dewey, here, in Bartlesville, Punka, everywhere that
- 2:49Speaker 3: we are always trying to work with in order to
- 2:51Speaker 3: be able to bring local food.
- 2:54Speaker 2: We're all we're all here.
- 2:56Speaker 3: So I always say, just spend your money local because
- 3:00Speaker 3: that's when you're going to get the farmers and the
- 3:01Speaker 3: ranchers to people that are bringing you food that's good
- 3:04Speaker 3: for your body and for your soul.
- 3:07Speaker 2: And you know, good for the economy exactly.
- 3:10Speaker 3: Keeps the money locals, keeps the tax dollars inside of
- 3:13Speaker 3: Artlesviille and helps grow and rejuvenate it.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Yeah. And you know when people walk into your story
- 3:17Speaker 1: and they say, well, where did they keep the meat?
- 3:19Speaker 1: Wench in the back, But you get to look at it.
- 3:22Speaker 2: It's your cat.
- 3:23Speaker 1: You can take your pick. You know it's there for
- 3:26Speaker 1: you to select, make your choice and bring it up absolutely,
- 3:30Speaker 1: and you've got age, You've got a variety of eggs
- 3:33Speaker 1: that you won't find in a typical supermarket.
- 3:35Speaker 2: It's true. Everything is pasture raised.
- 3:37Speaker 3: We all practice the exact same regenerative farming with our chickens,
- 3:41Speaker 3: their happy chickens. Some of us do corn feed and
- 3:44Speaker 3: soy feed with supplements.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Others don't. Excuse me, others don't.
- 3:49Speaker 3: So if you ever have like a corn or soy
- 3:51Speaker 3: free allergy, just let me know and I'll point you
- 3:56Speaker 3: to the eggs that.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Need to be eaten for you.
- 3:58Speaker 1: And you have canned vegetable and a variety that will
- 4:03Speaker 1: just you go walk in here. You say, wow, I
- 4:06Speaker 1: know this is going to be good for me, This
- 4:07Speaker 1: is going to be good for my table, This is
- 4:09Speaker 1: going to be good for anybody who consumes it.
- 4:12Speaker 3: There's no chemicals exactly.
- 4:17Speaker 2: It's all good for you.
- 4:17Speaker 3: It's preserved the safest way possible using vinegars or with water, bathing,
- 4:23Speaker 3: pressure canning, so it's not going to go bad on
- 4:26Speaker 3: your shelf, and once you open it, you're gonna eat it.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Gone be gone in a hurry. But it doesn't stop there.
- 4:32Speaker 1: You also have coffees and teas and other verbal things. Yeah,
- 4:37Speaker 1: just run the gamut. You also carry nuts and other
- 4:40Speaker 1: things like that too.
- 4:42Speaker 2: We even have gift items for anyone who.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Yes, we also have gift items if you're looking for
- 4:47Speaker 3: birthday gifts for a loved one, any literally, at any age.
- 4:51Speaker 3: We have candles all the way down to little three
- 4:53Speaker 3: D printed fidgets.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Now we've told everybody why they need to come in
- 5:00Speaker 1: Early Bird Market. Now we need to tell them where
- 5:02Speaker 1: Early Bird Market is located.
- 5:05Speaker 3: Early Bird Market is in downtown Bartlesville. The address is
- 5:08Speaker 3: one on one Southeast Frank Phillips Boulevard. We are on
- 5:11Speaker 3: the corner of Frank Phillips and Johnstone Catty, corner from
- 5:15Speaker 3: Hideaway Pizza. And we share the building, the I t
- 5:19Speaker 3: Io Building, with Bambinos and a couple of other small businesses.
- 5:22Speaker 1: And everybody gets along there. It's like it's like your
- 5:25Speaker 1: own block within a building.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Yes, we all help each other out constantly.
- 5:29Speaker 1: I love everything.
- 5:30Speaker 3: Love that, Yes, and even the outside surrounding neighbors all
- 5:34Speaker 3: this exact same thing.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Yes, it's a good little neighborhood. You got there, it is.
- 5:38Speaker 1: It is wonderful. Don't let the signs fool you, folks.
- 5:41Speaker 1: There's a wide variety there plenty on the shelves you
- 5:44Speaker 1: even have some supplements in there too, natural supplements that
- 5:50Speaker 1: can help your body out, and so many different.
- 5:52Speaker 3: So we have teinc sures and stuff. I wouldn't call
- 5:54Speaker 3: them exactly supplement.
- 5:57Speaker 2: No, no, no, that's okay.
- 5:59Speaker 3: There are teams and all kinds of other homeopathic remedies
- 6:02Speaker 3: and that we have, Yes, all of which are done
- 6:07Speaker 3: by people who are either certified or have been doing
- 6:09Speaker 3: it for forty plus years and know exactly what they're doing.
- 6:13Speaker 3: I have a specific vendor that has been doing his
- 6:17Speaker 3: work for forty plus years. He's he's a medicine man.
- 6:20Speaker 3: He knows what he's doing, and he is willing to
- 6:23Speaker 3: let me just give out his number to help people out.
- 6:25Speaker 2: All of my vendors, all of the people I work with.
- 6:28Speaker 3: If people have questions, I can ask them immediately and
- 6:32Speaker 3: almost immediately get an answer. If not, I can also
- 6:36Speaker 3: give them their phone information.
- 6:37Speaker 1: And people, Yeah, you've got You've got a nice little
- 6:39Speaker 1: system there where everybody's playing above board, and that's they're
- 6:43Speaker 1: doing it. We're doing it for the goodness and the
- 6:46Speaker 1: health of the community.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Yes.
- 6:47Speaker 3: And that's the other thing that sets us apart from
- 6:49Speaker 3: somewhere that's corporate, is we're able to connect you to
- 6:52Speaker 3: the source immediately and answer questions based on how they're
- 6:55Speaker 3: raising and doing their.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Work as opposed to one eight hundred black hole. You're
- 7:02Speaker 1: familiar with that, am. Now when we come in there,
- 7:06Speaker 1: we're going to see you. We're going to see Torri.

- 7:26Speaker 1: easy to find. If you can't find what you're looking for, ask,
- 7:29Speaker 1: you'll be shown and you'll say, oh, well that makes sense.
- 7:34Speaker 1: And yes, and it's easy on the pocketbook too. For
- 7:39Speaker 1: the value, Yes, it is really wonderful for the value,
- 7:43Speaker 1: because you just can't put a price on healthy, homegrown food.
- 7:48Speaker 2: No, you can't.
- 7:49Speaker 3: You're either weighing out whether you want to eat the
- 7:53Speaker 3: food that's going to be good for you long term,
- 7:57Speaker 3: or you're going to eat the food that might have
- 7:59Speaker 3: a whole lot of soon and may make you sick
- 8:01Speaker 3: a little later.
