- 0:00we have on good authority that Luke is currently on his way to a location where
- 0:05he can potentially join the podcast however he's not here right now this
- 0:10must be the earliest we've ever mentioned a missing co-host oh I I don't
- 0:14think we could do it any earlier Fair unless we didn't unless we
- 0:18just didn't record it welcome to multiple
- 0:22nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and
- 0:27Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All
- 0:32Things
- 0:37nerdy yeah usually do yeah he's been uh he's been in we could talk about he's
- 0:44been in hospital he's probably gonna talk very open about yeah but if you
- 0:48want to know more details have a listen either I don't know at what point he's
- 0:52going to join in he said maybe after party he'll show up if you don't know
- 0:55what the after party is go to patreon.com multiple nerdgasm more about that later
- 1:00all I know is that I dropped in on him yesterday and you know when you're
- 1:03you're getting some kind of infusion they basically hang a bag on an IV with
- 1:07a with a drip into you he had that but whatever they were giving him was
- 1:12literally locked away so so could drink massively controlled substance yeah yeah
- 1:18I thought going to say it was Mountain Dew I did take him a little care package
- 1:24of um blue v and um nerds so cuz he yeah he needs sugar he needs that stuff yeah
- 1:31I didn't want him to um go into withdrawal yeah totally what do You'
- 1:38noticed that I was there no no no if he went into withdrawal because he's he's
- 1:44receiving some some quite potent true infusions from what I I can you be in
- 1:49withdrawal from something if you're overdosing on something else that's I
- 1:53don't know the science behind this intentionally overdosing
- 1:57intentionally is that how you would describe I guess we ask him how his
- 2:00doctor described it to him and he's going to say I wasn't paying attention
- 2:04yeah yeah no he wouldn't have been no so we can carry on uh without him in the
- 2:11meantime got quite a bit of stuff this week yeah lot's happened lot's happened
- 2:15in the tech world this week yeah do you want to talk about Apple yeah let's talk
- 2:19about Apple we've got uh WWDC we got some quite a lot actually already we got
- 2:25new Mac Pro with the M1 M well Sor the
- 2:28M2 Chip Mac Pro looks sexy as [ __ ] I'll never be able to afford one but it's
- 2:35been a while since I've actually wanted a Mac sitting on my desk and I want this
- 2:39one this one's beautiful the thing about this one is right so I have a Mac Studio
- 2:44here that I'm using sure now right and basically this new Mac Pro is the same
- 2:50well it's got the M2 in it mine's got the M1 so it's like one of the new Mac
- 2:53Studios the only difference really is that it's got PCI slots and I don't know
- 2:59that the p slots are worth the what $4,000 extra I would have to pay that's
- 3:04right just to get this in that case you know true you could probably 3D print a
- 3:10case for your Mac Studio and just have it sitting inside there it in there I'll
- 3:14just buy like yeah exactly I wait till somebody one of the because it's the
- 3:16same case that the Intel Mac Pros are in I'll wait till somebody trashes Theirs
- 3:20to get one of these buy the case and just slot this inside oh does this
- 3:24already exist see I've been so out of the loop I wasn't even paying attention
- 3:27to this so the Intel Mac Pros already have this like titanium think it's the
- 3:31same case yeah I'm pretty sure it's the same case yeah that's why they didn't
- 3:34make such a fuss about the case itself because I was surprised okay well that
- 3:38makes sense because I was like oh that thing is beautiful but there you go it
- 3:41already exists so that's why they didn't bother mentioning it so we had that we
- 3:45had there 15-inch MacBook Air now which is quite you know it's a very nice
- 3:50laptop I think the MacBook a is used to not really be able to run the operating
- 3:55system that it held but that long l g to those days yeah
- 4:00yeah it's got the same again it's the same processor in it yeah so it's it's
- 4:05like they're insanely powerful and that 15inch MacBook a is probably the laptop
- 4:10most people should get if you want a Mac yeah that's a pretty sick laptop so we
- 4:15got that we got you know this new iOS
- 4:18and yeah iOS 17 is going to block
- 4:24dickpics I saw I saw that this was in here and okay so this is I guess based
- 4:30on some tech that they announced a while back and then back backed out of cuz
- 4:34people got upset about it cuz it was there was a period where they're talking
- 4:37about how your phone was going to be able to tell if you had pix kids on
- 4:42there and it was going to my phone nothing but pcks of kids on there I
- 4:48think you I was I was trying to be uh a little but how's my phone gonna know
- 4:54well apparently that's that's the thing is they were saying oh yeah no it won't
- 4:58know for sure what it's going to do is there's going to be a database of hash
- 5:03you know hashes which is you know an image at its raw data level the data
- 5:08hashes of known Kitty porn images right and what it's going to do is if a if you
- 5:14have a photo on your phone that looks like it might be one of those it what it
- 5:19was going to do was just flick a little flag somewhere and if you get too many
- 5:25of those flags flicked they weren't going to they weren't going to intervene
- 5:29they wer look at your stuff or anything like that but they were going to notify
- 5:32somebody somewhere that you've got a few Flags flipp maybe someone need to pop
- 5:36around your house and have a look at your phone I love the fact that the AI
- 5:39for this though is somebody has to show a whole bunch of kitty existing Kitty
- 5:45porn and go to the AI to say this is not
- 5:50okay well this is that's one of the things apparently the Facebook content
- 5:54people had to do and then there was that whole big fuss about how they weren't
- 5:58being paid very much to to have to go through that kind of [ __ ] my mate used
- 6:01to work for Google back in the early or mid 2000s and that was his job to just
- 6:06look at porn and just flag anything where it looked like the participants might be
- 6:11underage [ __ ] hell I mean I guess what a job straight out of un right
- 6:17because you can you can upload stuff to there right isn't so I guess they got to
- 6:21do that too yeah yeah someone's got to do it but this looks a little different
- 6:26because there was another thing that they were talking about where if if you
- 6:28were a if you had a phone and it said you were underage I I don't know what
- 6:33the cut off was but if it was it was a kid's phone and you got sent an image he
- 6:38was kind of going to use AI to tell if that image was should not be looking
- 6:42this yeah there's a lot skin on this photo you could set your kid's phone to
- 6:48notify you if that happens I think and people again were like I don't know
- 6:51about that a yeah as a parent I'm like
- 6:56yep that's fine do that yes let me can I can understand why scenario generally
- 7:03people find that morally ambiguous yeah yeah and then people saying like there's
- 7:07there's a lot of room for abuse of that feature yeah to yeah so so they backed
- 7:13that up and so this looks like sort of like that right I don't think this
- 7:17blocks that it will just it will just kind of do what Reddit does if you've
- 7:23got your not safe for work filter on it'll blur it and say do you really want
- 7:27to see this this might be something new yeah so this is like a more step back
- 7:32kind of casual version of that where you can say on my phone if you think it's a
- 7:36dick just blur it so I don't have to look at it yeah yeah Dave could have
- 7:40used this a few years ago when our friends I don't really get sent dicks
- 7:45but I might put this on anyway just so I don't have to ever see them you
- 7:49know I only want to see my own dick yeah
- 7:52that's right and only from certain
- 7:57angles but of course we digress cuz that's not the this is not the biggest
- 8:00apple news the dickpic thing is not the biggest apple news of the week no this
- 8:04there is one funny thing about this though this says optin bluring can be
- 8:08applied to sensitive images sent in messages okay makes sense someone might
- 8:11text you a dick air drop someone might try and airdrop you a dick contact
- 8:17posters right this is a new feature that they they just put in where you can wave
- 8:21your phone near someone else's phone and it'll add your phone number and a
- 8:25picture of you picture of your dick who the [ __ ] is walk around doing that I
- 8:31mean I guess it might if you are the kind of person who wants to walk around
- 8:36forcing your contact details into women's phones you are also the kind of
- 8:40person that has your profile picture as just a picture of your dick being out at
- 8:45an event or something and they go oh you want to swap details yeah sure wave and then
- 8:50just and I'm like yeah you like that yeah you're like sorry that don't
- 8:55usually swap these with guys I didn't expect to just meet someone who could be
- 8:58a friend yeah just that little that feature there made me laugh but yes
- 9:02that's not the big news the bigger the technology in the world gets the the
- 9:06more I just want to live in a cabin with with
- 9:09nothing nothing but a VR headset oh well
- 9:14look I'm excited about the direction this is going but I don't want this I
- 9:19might consider version two of this yeah this thing looks clunky as hell so we're
- 9:23talking about Apple Vision Pro if you haven't seen it I mean it's unlikely
- 9:27you've probably seen this by now everyone talking about it yeah you
- 9:30you've seen this it's the headset that Apple's making and yes I agree I got
- 9:36very excited by the videos and then afterwards I was looking at it and I was
- 9:40thinking well I've got to have that thing in my pocket with a cable and yeah
- 9:45you know the battery only lasts two hours and it this feels like now is not
- 9:49the time to buy one yeah I mean and they're talking about oh you can have
- 9:53teams conferences and things and it's like yeah but will will everyone just
- 9:56look like a giant fly with these big goggles on like well like yeah that's
- 10:01the thing they didn't show that they didn't show the reverse angle in exactly
- 10:06they they showed the person with the headset on sitting there seeing
- 10:09everybody's little faces Flo in space having this great Mee what do you look
- 10:12like what are they seeing yeah exactly yeah because it's on your face yeah
- 10:18correct see you yeah yeah it's a bit weird they just didn't show it yeah yeah
- 10:24look when they do a a version of this that looks just like a pair of glasses
- 10:28or if it's a an augmented screen you can get put on your own glasses maybe then
- 10:33maybe the thing the the killer thing for me right the thing when they showed this
- 10:37I was like I [ __ ] want that is where you can be on a plane pop this on pop
- 10:43your airpods in turn on noise cancellation turn that little dial and
- 10:47suddenly I'm sat on the edge of a [ __ ] cliff yeah with a giant movie
- 10:52screen in front of me just watching a movie and yeah not on a plane that would
- 10:59be amazing yeah yeah exactly I'm no longer on a plane I'm they should call
- 11:02that app not on a plane yeah that's that's sick yeah yeah for sure and I
- 11:09like this is essentially Minority Report I mean not the actual precog [ __ ] but
- 11:15just your hands yeah that's right it's screens in the air and you just brush
- 11:19them around like now I can't walk up to you and look at the screens you're
- 11:23looking at so that's it's one step removed from that but it you would feel
- 11:27like that if you were the one controlling this but the thing about
- 11:30this and someone said this because the um a couple of podcasters were at the
- 11:34event and you couldn't uh touch any of this stuff but you could see the headset
- 11:38and you could talk to the Apple employees and the thing about it is when
- 11:40you watch all the videos the movements are very um not [ __ ] I guess is way you
- 11:47know like in Minority Report you know he's waving his arms around and all that
- 11:50kind of stuff but in reality that's exhausting oh yeah yeah yeah for sure so
- 11:55the way this works is you look at stuff and and it literally just tracks what
- 12:01your eyes looking at and then when your eye when you're looking at the thing you
- 12:05want to pick you just tap your fingers together you give it a little you give
- 12:08it a little finger tap and it goes y okay and it goes in interesting that's
- 12:12like pretty amazing yeah that that is amazing if it works that's that's the
- 12:16other thing too I'm skeptical about how smooth this will work I mean maybe no
- 12:20but what's exciting about it is that this exists like imagine this 20 years
- 12:25from now contact lenses that everyone's got on yes that's that's the yeah the
- 12:29possibilities are what's exciting yeah and the other thing that's seems stupid
- 12:34about it and I'm like there must be more to this is that yes it's got a battery
- 12:39pack there's no battery at all in the headset because they said it's too heavy
- 12:43fair enough so you've got to it's connected and it's got a MAG safe thing
- 12:48up here so it connects here with a magnet but and then somebody apparently
- 12:52confirmed with apple if you if that battery goes flat you're thinking oh I
- 12:56could swap out another one yeah but there's no grace period you disconnect
- 12:59that it turns off yeah and is it true if you die inside Apple Vision Pro you die
- 13:04in real life is that true yeah no I just thought couldn't they put like a little
- 13:11battery like 10 seconds to swap another one in or something like seems like a
- 13:16weird oversight yeah version two of this is going to be great yeah yeah I mean
- 13:23when people like you just described sitting there watching a a movie in in
- 13:27like an augmented reality space Bas right but imagine that's still a 2d
- 13:32plane that you're watching a movie imagine when they start creating content
- 13:36specifically for this you'll be sitting in the movie yeah well they Bob Iger was
- 13:42on stage at the the keynote and he said they're already working with apple on
- 13:47new types of content yes like [ __ ] amazing yeah yeah oh the thing like when
- 13:53you when you look at this listeners it looks like it's transparent and you and
- 13:57it just kind of Pops fingers in front eyes it's not transparent that's a
- 14:01screen yes that's true it's a it's a screen that's showing your eyes on the
- 14:07outside you're not seeing through it you're it's the same as a you know like
- 14:13current VR headset but it's it's fancier than that obviously but the thing is in
- 14:18all the all the um videos they show people walking around and doing stuff
- 14:24pop up and they're looking at stuff like that but again it's not transparent so
- 14:28what you're seeing you're walking around is a video of it filming out and it's
- 14:34real it's really what's there but it's a display of what's there on a screen yes
- 14:38I don't know how that's actually gonna yeah that's interesting and feel you
- 14:42know is it because it's not going to be full it's not like when I look around
- 14:45now and I can just see everything in my vision is per like you know I've got
- 14:49Vision that's not it's not going to be like no it'll it'll be a 2d
- 14:53representation a screen that moves with your eyes you're watching a videoas
- 14:57you're looking at yeah so I feel like it's like the invisible car in that dumb
- 15:01James Bond movie that's just got tiny cameras projecting what's on the other
- 15:05side of the car yes yeah yeah it's going to be weird I think weirder than they
- 15:10make it seem in the videos it's got to be unless it's not Cas all right I mean
- 15:16done I'd be very interested to pop one of these on I'll admit oh yeah and and
- 15:21and just see how this is so they'll we have them in Apple Stores apparently oh
- 15:25yeah the other thing to people are curious about is because it seems like
- 15:28you can't wear glass with them so when you go into the App Store apparently the
- 15:33way that you're going to want to buy one of these is to go into the store get
- 15:36fitted because it's got custom seals and custom connectors and all that kind of
- 15:41[ __ ] and custom lenses wow prescription they take your glasses they shine a
- 15:48little light through and it tells them which one to yeah they've got some
- 15:51device to do that I was like that's pretty sick that is great because
- 15:55actually my like I wear glasses for up close so I would have to have these
- 16:00augmented for you might not think that you would but it's literally a screen
- 16:03like right in front you're going to need them yeah yeah it's interesting it's
- 16:07interesting times and also they um it's augmented reality but it's not
- 16:13what people usually think augmented reality is like a lot of people when you
- 16:17say augmented reality the thing is I'm going to walk around and then when I
- 16:20look at you it's going to pop up and say Daniel Miller yeah yeah yeah multiple
- 16:24nerg gasm like and then like like the Terminator like the Terminator yeah
- 16:29yeah this is not like that at all it's like yeah more yet yeah it's pretty cool
- 16:36that you can apparently look at your laptop and then the display of your
- 16:40laptop just kind of flies up into the air above it and then you're just
- 16:43looking at what's on your laptop in there in space yeah that's right yeah
- 16:47like I I really got to try it to know if it's actually that good it's pretty
- 16:52exciting though oh yeah the other thing some eagle-eyed uh viewers on the
- 16:56internet have spotted that in videos and
- 17:00uh photos they show uh they've got a USB dongle of some sort hooked up to this
- 17:06thing that they have not mentioned what that is so it's just like yeah be
- 17:11interesting so maybe there's more going on you know I talked about you know it
- 17:14getting unplugged or whatever maybe there's more possibility there than we
- 17:17know about yet y if you can hook a USB cable up to it kind of thing yeah sorry
- 17:23my my fans going nuts I'm just
- 17:26GNA pop a book under here or something
- 17:33[Music]
- 17:39sorry listeners some slight technical difficulties there that you will not
- 17:42have experienced no uh if you wondering if this conversation doesn't happen to
- 17:47flow quite as fluidly as we always do that's
- 17:52why um did you end up getting your deposit back for your cyber truck yeah I
- 17:58did yeah yeah and I'm yeah I'm not regretting that uh particularly after
- 18:04this week when some leaked report from Tesla has shown that it's got a lot of
- 18:10problems that's why they haven't made it yet because yeah I mean
- 18:17man honestly if the prices of Teslas haven't come way way down I'll be
- 18:23surprised I think I mean they are they were cheap and then I think they went
- 18:27back up again but they they're [ __ ] expensive here you're basically looking
- 18:32at 100 grand for your base model Australia yeah okay I think you get a
- 18:36model 3 for about 40 Grand here yeah mind you 40 Grand American is I mean are
- 18:42you two to one at the moment it's you know yeah well and see now the Cyber
- 18:47truck being delayed so much and then again this report saying that it's
- 18:51because it's it just uh was it had problems with braking handling noise and
- 18:55it leaked leaking yeah that's not good
- 18:59no uh and already Ford and Chevy are
- 19:04produc are in production on their electric trucks like the F-150 Lightning
- 19:09looks pretty sick so yeah I am man look I'm not in a hurry to go electric
- 19:15although there are incentives to go electric now um coming out here uh if I
- 19:22was going to go electric I'd go the poar too it's great yeah they look like
- 19:27spaceships from the and that's Jam yep yeah that's kind of
- 19:32like I mean the Cyber truck had that sort of vibe where it was very rety
- 19:36looking but I mean I prefer one that doesn't leak it doesn't leak yeah yeah
- 19:40the PO Stars don't leak as far as I know yeah yeah so I mean over here they've
- 19:46given pretty aggressive deadlines for not selling any new gas powered cars
- 19:51anyway right so oh yeah sure yeah eventually I don't know exactly when
- 19:56Rhode Island said but um yeah pretty pretty aggressive on that now so mhm mhm
- 20:03part of agenda 2030 I think oh yeah well we could talk about that if you want I
- 20:08don't have anything else to say I'm all for it know anything about
- 20:13it yeah well all right rip cyber truck you you may we may never even see you
- 20:19yeah it's not looking good yeah it's a shame could have been really cool yeah I
- 20:25don't know Elon I mean the man was interesting at one point and now I find
- 20:30him whatever the opposite of interesting uninteresting yeah it's so an like I
- 20:34know I genuinely used to think he was pretty cool and now I'm like oh I don't
- 20:39anymore no I'll go out of my way not to hear him talk now yeah I know it's
- 20:44almost like like someone points out do you know how many how many years in a
- 20:50row he said full self-driving probably be in the next six months and it's like
- 20:54he's been saying that since 2013 and it's like yeah you're right I just
- 20:58didn't notice at the time for some reason yeah he just always got me hyped
- 21:02up we drank the Kool-Aid yeah yeah I guess there were probably people out
- 21:06there who I know there are people out there I [ __ ] told you yeah yeah yeah
- 21:12it's like Steve Jobs with his reality Distortion field yes yeah that's right
- 21:16yeah I mean there were always people going you know Steve Jobs isn't really a
- 21:21tech guy he's a marketing guy that's true though like I mean to a degree he
- 21:25he he wasn't complete idiot but he was yeah yeah if you hear the stories inside
- 21:31actually how the Macintosh got made the very first Macintosh it was despite
- 21:35Steve Jobs yes that's right and if Steve Jobs hadn't met was there would be no
- 21:41apple right and because jobs insisted uh it used the stupid disc drives from the
- 21:46Lisa that were garbage and he only wanted to to have I forget exactly how
- 21:51much a useless amount of ram that the very first gen of Mac had but the
- 21:56engineers were smart enough to to know we're gonna need to put more RAM in this
- 22:00thing let's make it so that it's really easy to do that yeah because people are
- 22:05gonna want that
- 22:07yeah ah Apple yeah uh Reddit this week
- 22:13oh yeah not this week I guess this this this last month or so have just been
- 22:18aggressively stupid in my opinion yeah they really seem to be trying their
- 22:23absolute hardest to run this company into the ground so odd so the latest
- 22:27thing there's a Reddit app on iOS called Apollo which is very good I did used to
- 22:32use it for a while but I just I just stopped because I don't use Reddit
- 22:36enough to justify paying for an app was really the reason I was like I can just
- 22:40see the ads on them the their app uh and I guess that's what they want because
- 22:45they've done a Twitter and they said well what they did was I guess a couple
- 22:50of months ago they emailed all the developers of third party apps including
- 22:53this guy Christian who makes Apollo and said we're going to start charging for
- 22:56API access mhm and was like fair enough you know that's fair you know we're
- 23:01using it for free makes sense and they said you know we'll communicate with you
- 23:06there'll be a you know work together to get it all sorted out that kind of thing
- 23:09and everything seemed like it was all right and then uh the other last week I
- 23:16think they said here's the pricing and he did the math and he realized I'm GNA
- 23:22have to pay these guys $20 million a month
- 23:26yeah and then he he said um that's not happening that's not gonna happen and
- 23:31they're like oh that's a shame [ __ ] you [ __ ] you basically so wow so he's he's
- 23:37now he's just had to come out and say well I get June because it starts first
- 23:40of July to do this he said I'm got to shut the gap down apps are going to stop
- 23:44working on the first of first of July sorry it's not possible and not only
- 23:48that I'll link to the the Reddit post that he put up about it um it's quite
- 23:53interesting because he because he's in Canada and he had a feeling things were
- 23:58going to go a bit sideways he recorded the phone calls because he had phone
- 24:01calls with even I think the the the guy who runs Reddit even like he had some he
- 24:07recorded all the calls John Reddit yeah John Reddit and then that Reddit came
- 24:10out and said that he he was threatening them to like and and and all this kind
- 24:16of stuff and he he said well here's the phone call and I know what he's
- 24:20referring to yeah you tell me what you think he misheard me and then
- 24:25apologized for for thinking that it was a right gu that's the only thing I can
- 24:30think he's talking about so anyway it's just it just Reddit just looks like [ __ ]
- 24:35in this yeah that's a shame because I like Reddit for for things yeah it's
- 24:40useful well not I guess reddit's not useful the people on Reddit are useful
- 24:44and to be clear not all of them no no a certain amount of curation is required
- 24:50to uh but like there are there are subreddits that I get a lot of value
- 24:55from absolutely yeah like once you find a good subreddit like that's a that
- 24:59could be a really I'm on the blue subred every day to just hear Americans go do
- 25:03they really say dollar bucks in Australia and you're like yep uhhuh yeah
- 25:08absolutely can I can I air what do you guys pay with what you pay with doll
- 25:13dues yeah that's right um my wife works for prime Amazon
- 25:19Prime and they they advertise on Reddit um and I don't mind ads on Reddit so
- 25:24long as they look like ads what I don't like is when they try to disguise
- 25:29himself as just posts yes and I really have a problem with that because it
- 25:35makes me concentrate on it way more than I want to I should have the ability to
- 25:41ignore if I want yeah exactly lately for some reason I don't know if it's just me
- 25:46listeners if you get this let let me know I don't know if anybody listeners
- 25:50even use Reddit I get religious posts religious advertisements I get literally
- 25:56get posts about I forget the name it's it links to a certain subreddit and it's
- 26:01just all about how like Jesus loved you do you love him
- 26:04wow I'm like really vote wow it's just so I'm like what do you show me that for
- 26:10is it and I wonder if is it because because I don't think I'm in the the the
- 26:16atheist subreddit on Reddit is quite famous because it's got a bunch of knobs
- 26:21in it so I'm not I'm as far as I'm aware I'm I'm not in that sub to that because
- 26:26they they annoy me as well yeah only thing more self-righteous than religious
- 26:30people are atheists like yeah if you're newly like freed of
- 26:35religion I can't no thanks yeah exactly like I get it but like nah yeah it's
- 26:41it's not as interesting I know I agree with you but simmer down a bit I know
- 26:46that you're very excited yeah especially if you live in a country like America
- 26:51where it's just taken for granted that there is a Jesus and that you know he
- 26:55carries you on the beach Etc it's like a it's like a conspiracy theory of sorts
- 27:00and so I I get it but but they are tedious yes like and then and also
- 27:05people who go out and just try and start fights with just don't do that yeah not
- 27:10into that stuff yeah you do you right that's fine so anyway I wondered if it was
- 27:16because of that but it's like no I don't think I'm in any of those because like
- 27:18annoy me so that's quite funny actually maybe I wonder if that's I was
- 27:25going to say I wonder if that's because you've been looking at like debunk
- 27:29conspiracy theory type stuff but thises this I have been would we talk about
- 27:35that be the opposite of that you would be more likely to get yeah but we can we
- 27:40can lean into that if you if you'd like I know you've got some uh some followup
- 27:45yeah so I I talked last week about how I was trying to find stuff on the pyramids
- 27:49and whatnot and I kept getting you know conspir you know aent aliens and that
- 27:53kind of thing and you mentioned grahe Hancock and I do know of grahe Han
- 27:56because he had that um gockley tee do on Netflix that yeah is he reckons it's a
- 28:02100,000 years old and it was built by and the the lava tubes inside of it are
- 28:08actually secret Chambers not lava tubes which would make more sense yeah yeah
- 28:12yeah yeah that's right the thing the thing that the thing that he gets wrong
- 28:17that they don't that don't don't give anything abroad because there's one
- 28:21where he's in Indonesia and he's like these shapes of rocks could not possibly
- 28:25be man not manmade they can't can't possibly be naturally occurring and then
- 28:30you have all these geologists go no that's exactly how volcanic rock
- 28:34naturally occurs like it does it does form geometric shapes yeah well so so
- 28:41now I guess because I was kind of trying to get that kind of you know I said I
- 28:45looked up debunk specifically to try and find out yeah like hang on a minute you
- 28:50can't just look up facts now you have to look up antifa debunk yeah yeah yeah
- 28:54yeah so and so now I guess YouTube knows oh you want that stuff so now it's been
- 28:59sh yeah a bunch of and I've actually found some really good channels there's
- 29:02a guy Milo minman I think his channel is he's like a he's he's in his early 20s
- 29:07he's an archaeologist and he he he's does some interesting stuff and he's got
- 29:11one on Graham Hancock that I watched a bit of and that was quite good um but
- 29:16now I get tons and tons of particularly anti- Graham hanock because I think he's
- 29:20got a bunch of Netflix specials unfortunately yeah yeah he's got a new
- 29:24one but it's it's not his first there's he's been writing books since the 80s
- 29:28and I thought there was an interview with a a guy who's uh listeners for
- 29:32those of you who don't know this is the guy who wants to convince you Atlantis
- 29:35is real yeah his whole his whole shtick
- 29:38and like I can't tell if he's serious or
- 29:42if it's a if it's grift if it's a grift then he is like committed to it but then
- 29:48there's stuff like there's a guy it was an interview I think the guy's like a I
- 29:52don't know if he's a geologist or if he's like a or archaeologist or a bit of
- 29:56both some some legit science a scientist yeah yeah who was intervie first he was
- 30:01approached asked if he would be interviewed for a show didn't know it
- 30:04was grahe hanok because he knows who he is agreed to do it got there Graham
- 30:09Hancock interviewed him but they only filmed this guy they didn't film right
- 30:13Graham Hancock and they he Graham hanock asked him questions and he answered them
- 30:19then they shuffled him off and later filmed Graham Hancock's bit and He
- 30:26adjusted adjusted the questions yeah and so the guy was like and he said
- 30:31it was annoying because he said he was really nice he was really Charming he
- 30:34was a really cool guy and he left thinking maybe I was wrong about him and
- 30:38then he walk to doco and he was like
- 30:40[ __ ] you wow yeah yeah wow oh man
- 30:46because it wouldn't take much to just skew that that's funny I remember do you
- 30:49remember daa Brahma from home and away or yeah I played with him once
- 30:54at so I've never met him right but he had this afternoon talk show at one
- 30:59point when once he left whatever sitcom he was on um so Home Away originally
- 31:06home away I think yeah but he had this afternoon kind of talk show where he
- 31:09interviewed he went around interviewing people but I got stopped on the street
- 31:13once just by this woman with a clipboard and she goes oh can I ask you a couple
- 31:17of questions for a show I'm I'm like yeah sure answered her questions
- 31:20suddenly I'm getting interviewed by daa BR like they've edited to look like he
- 31:24was there asking me questions but I've never met him yeah just met a producer
- 31:29that's so funny yeah it's kind of dodgy how they do that I mean not kind of
- 31:33dodgy it's literally dodgy yeah it's fraud but yeah but at least at least
- 31:37this they just refilmed him asking the same questions she asked he wasn't ske
- 31:41the questions to say uh to make me sound like I was agreeing with him on anything
- 31:48that was the night the night that I it was at pioner tabn he was
- 31:54there he was there and um what's her name Delta goodam was there oh and we
- 32:00used to tell Dave Delta goodam was places to try and get him to come out
- 32:05yeah yeah it's just because he had a crush on her [ __ ] loved her and then
- 32:09that night she was there and he didn't believe me was the boy who cried
- 32:15Del that's marvelous yeah I met her once she came into this into the HMV I was
- 32:20working I've heard this story it's not a good story no I mean you you come out of
- 32:24it all right I think right it's your co-workers that
- 32:28a just let's not even go there yeah fair enough um so on on the subject of
- 32:35Netflix we're getting booted from Jenna's parents Netflix right yeah as
- 32:42expected due to the password thing and we speculated that this might go
- 32:46sideways for Netflix that people might just get the shits apparently that's not
- 32:51the case and they've had a big flood of subscribers people want their Netflix so
- 32:57we'll see how it goes long term but it apparently maybe it's
- 33:01working look I'll say this about Netflix
- 33:04I think Netflix is the most intuitive and solid interface out of all the
- 33:11streaming platforms mhm and it has I have one complaint and I'll get to it
- 33:15later I've got a few complaints but okay I've got complaints about all of them
- 33:19but it's the least [ __ ] out of all of them is kind of what I'm saying and it
- 33:24has enough content and I have enough of a desire to not want to change between
- 33:29platforms mhm I'm talking almost exclusively kids content here too
- 33:34because I don't watch anything now it's all my daughter you watch bluee but yeah
- 33:39if she but here's the thing I will go to ivie for Bluey and I will go nowhere
- 33:43else I will not go to Disney plus unless I really have to because it is garbage
- 33:48that platform is garbage sure I would rather just stay on Netflix because it's
- 33:53easier if I had to delete all but one it' be Netflix that I'd keep you know
- 33:58just because it's the least [ __ ] out of all of them I have my pet peeves with
- 34:03video streaming apps right so I use an Apple TV and I really like my Apple TV
- 34:07it work iPhone it works very well I know not everybody's into Apple I've got
- 34:10Apple everything and it works really well except Netflix
- 34:15intentionally doesn't do any of that and they they don't no Netflix Stuff shows
- 34:20up in the in the native search on Apple TV normally on Apple TV if I go to just
- 34:24go to the home screen I go search I can search for a something TV show and it
- 34:29will tell me if it's in any of the apps that I have except Netflix it does not
- 34:35and you can just play like it'll it'll just show up like a normal search result
- 34:38and you can just play it straight away no that one episode of it it'll show up
- 34:42in my com in my whats up next on my home Little T everything that I really like
- 34:47the interface Netflix intentionally used to work with that and then they were
- 34:51like [ __ ] you Apple for some reason over like the 30% I assume some nonsense so
- 34:56they exclude everything from that so now what I have to do is search if it's not
- 35:01there I go I'll open Netflix search in there the other thing that shits me I
- 35:05don't think Netflix does this oh maybe Netflix does but their players all right
- 35:09when a streaming service comes out and they go I know that Apple provides a
- 35:15very good video player because they know how to make those we'll Implement our
- 35:20own don't [ __ ] do that right because yours is not gonna work properly and
- 35:24it's gonna piss me off be very good yeah like I don't want to pause a movie go to
- 35:29get a drink or something come back hit play and then suddenly I'm like 30
- 35:33minutes later in the thing or it's like skip back or it's like crashed or just
- 35:38use the stuff that they give you please that's why I I hate so Netflix is my
- 35:43default I'll go to IV view for Bluey and I if I just switch to the iew app it'll
- 35:48just bring up Bluey because that's where I left off it knows I've got I've got my
- 35:52own problems with it because it it auto plays from the most recent episode not
- 35:57the least most recent which means you end up watching the same ones over and
- 36:00over okay okay sure which I don't like but if you go to Disney you've got to go
- 36:05to the login every time I me you don't have to type in your password but it
- 36:08goes to the home screen every time and then you've got to scroll to whatever
- 36:12you want or search for whatever you want it it doesn't help you it doesn't hold
- 36:15your hand and take you where it knows you want to go so on the Apple TV Disney
- 36:19plus will just say do you want to watch on the home screen there'll be a TI that
- 36:23says do you want to watch the next blue or whatever although that's useless now
- 36:26because we've literally watched all of them so it doesn't know yeah it doesn't
- 36:30know what what to do yeah yeah yeah there was this one and I don't know why
- 36:36it was doing this but you know you know how on Netflix and others probably do
- 36:39this too but I've only noticed on Netflix just before it gets to the
- 36:42credits it'll bring up your your little prompt to go to the next episode and you
- 36:46can kind of skip to it early yep sometimes on Netflix that'll come up halfway through a
- 36:53program so there's one particular thing that I'm talking about so there's this
- 36:56show it's the pink Fong Dance Workout right again I'm talking about content is
- 37:03it's baby shark make so Dance Workout is there's kids that mime along and
- 37:09dance choreograph dances to a dozen or so pink fun songs right if you go to the
- 37:16menu uh each episode is 20 minutes long right if you click on one individual
- 37:22episode The playhead along the bottom
- 37:26will be 10 minutes long half when you approach that 10 minutes it'll come up
- 37:33skip credits if you click no it'll play
- 37:3710 more minutes if you don't it'll skip to the next episode after half the show
- 37:43only has played is that some thing where it's like it's trying to give you an out
- 37:47as a parent yeah maybe but I need it to [ __ ] stay
- 37:52on no I need it to stay on yeah pink
- 37:56Fong it's such a mixed bag of content oh
- 38:00yeah because I find I know I I used to say never baby shark never baby shar's
- 38:05not so bad I'll be honest yeah it's not actually not that bad because lra loves
- 38:10doing the dance kind stuff I'm like yeah I it yeah whatever some of their stuff
- 38:13I'm like oh yeah what is this [ __ ] yeah yeah yeah there's one on the dance K
- 38:19Dance Workout because sometimes it's just an adult in the dance as well which
- 38:23is just odd right they just don't ever need to be there but there's this one
- 38:26about washing hair and like they're not nude or anything so like don't freak out
- 38:31but like they're in the shower washing their hair and stuff and it's a cartoon
- 38:35shower but it's two little kids and an adult and it's like get him out of there
- 38:41don't have him in this one don't have him in the one where the little kids are
- 38:45in the shower sure yeah there's there's one uh she wanted up on today because
- 38:51she watched baby shark and then this the next one that came on was um it's the
- 38:56same basically the same song as baby shark in like a different key but it's
- 39:01an elephant and the lyrics are elephant Hakuna Matata except that would be
- 39:06copyright infringement yeah so it's
- 39:11elephant like and it's like what is this [ __ ] yeah yeah yeah I haven't seen that
- 39:16I have seen baby TT T to T-Rex I've seen that
- 39:20one and I've seen monkey B but I've seen
- 39:24monkey B but and then I'm like that's that's stupid and then I remind myself
- 39:30baby shark is also stupid it's all stupid yeah it's just that I've heard it
- 39:33so many times that it it's just what it is now there's one that annoys me and it
- 39:38shouldn't annoy me right and I but I I there's ones about animals right and
- 39:43there's just a whole one about animals and I I like it learning about animals I
- 39:46like it watching animals and animals are good for kids because they get excited
- 39:49when they see an elephant they go elephant you know they like that but
- 39:52clearly they've just had Wikipedia open and they're just putting in facts about
- 39:56animals from wikip but there's this one about a skunk it's
- 40:00not even about a skunk each verse is about a different there's but one vers
- 40:04about a skunk and how he farts and it's like no that's not why skunks smell it's
- 40:09not cuz they just flatulent like that's just not a fact that's just not true
- 40:15just it's a defensive mechanism if we going to write about a just go write it
- 40:21properly like teach them facts yeah it'll spray you if you piss it off yeah
- 40:27that's that's right yeah it is a extremely successful evolutionary
- 40:31defense mechanism they [ __ ] stink do they yeah uh unfortunately most of the
- 40:38time when I smell skunk it's because one's been hit on the highway right but
- 40:43that smell is like yeah and it's it's like oh God it's not on my car is it
- 40:47because that's going to smell for months yeah right yeah it's really bad no
- 40:50thankfully I never have such an American problem to have mhm yeah I was going to
- 40:55ask you I've been on the beach family of skunks come along oh really
- 41:00see that sounds cute unless you have no it was but you just don't get too close
- 41:03cuz the M fart on you I thought you
- 41:07start have you put chains on your tires is that a thing you have to do so I may
- 41:13need to get some for Vermont because the um the the atlas we have is not
- 41:20four-wheel drive and it had some trouble on some roads last time we were up there
- 41:25it's not I mean it's not a huge deal it might be worth getting some just in case
- 41:29interesting because that's un American thing too but I uh people literally
- 41:34change their tires you get like the ones that are on there are all season but you
- 41:38can get winter ones or you can get just chains that fit
- 41:43over regular the chains are more yeah chains are more like that an old
- 41:48fashioned practical because you can just no no no no no you can get them it's
- 41:51just the the the state that you're in will have a law around probably what
- 41:56time period you can use like you couldn't just like use them drive down
- 41:58the street middle of summer te up the roads homo just rips up the road take
- 42:04them off yeah yeah yeah I think within the months of whatever you're allowed to
- 42:08use them okay yeah because I'm reading a book I just finished reading a book said
- 42:12in Colorado uh and everyone who drives is talking about chains on their tires
- 42:17and I'm like oh no I I probably will get some for the just in case yeah we don't
- 42:23have to lean into it but I'll just I'll just quickly mention that the book that
- 42:26I've just read I I don't know how I've never read this before with all the
- 42:30Stephen King books I've read over the years i' never read The Shining sh until
- 42:35this week The Shining um have you read this have you actually read this I read
- 42:40it as a like a teenager so I don't really remember that's when I mind yeah
- 42:45so that's the thing so that's when I read most of my Stephen King books right
- 42:49and then and now there's enough movie adaptations to keep us going you know um
- 42:55this is one of the unique situations where the book is very very good and the
- 42:59movie is very very good mhm but actually they're also quite dissimilar in many
- 43:04ways um I think I like the book more than the movie uh although I love the
- 43:10movie it's one of my favorite movies it's it's bizarre in ways the book is
- 43:15not bizarre and the weird thing is it mostly the Str yeah the strangeness is
- 43:20in the casting um and the thing is if if you read The Shining the book there's no
- 43:26way you would cast Jack Nicholson in an adaptation of
- 43:30it but in this version there's no one else but Jack Nicholson that could pull
- 43:35this off you know what I mean because it requires an insane person like in the
- 43:39book I mean this is I guess this is a spoiler in the book the hotel itself
- 43:45makes Jack Torrance go insane you know it haunts him until he becomes insane
- 43:51and becomes dangerous yeah in the movie he's just a dangerous lunatic who
- 43:57happens to get a job at a hotel that's haunted yes and it yeah pushes him over
- 44:01the head yeah and in the same way in the book his wife is a regular strong willed
- 44:08um mother looking after her son and and doing all in the book in in the film
- 44:13she's just hysterical weakling right from the
- 44:18start and correct me if I'm wrong Danny's powers are more explicit in the
- 44:23book too he has he has speciic he just a
- 44:25psychic yeah and not only that um I did not realize so if if you watch the movie
- 44:32and you go they don't explain a lot just read the book they just tell you
- 44:36everything all these Mysteries everyone's like who let Jack out of the
- 44:39freezer in the book there's just a chapter of him getting LED out of the
- 44:42freezer and it's very explicit who let him Tony the imaginary friend that Danny
- 44:49um do you remember who that is no okay so in the movie they never say it's just
- 44:54a a boy who lives in his mouth that sometimes hides in his stomach right yes
- 44:58yes Tony is Danny as an adult using The
- 45:02Shining to to his self and warn him about the Overlook right which is why he
- 45:08gets all those don't go there stuff I I can understand why kubri didn't want to
- 45:12make that explicit yeah you and there's a few things where it's like okay I
- 45:17understand why he wanted this a bit more ambiguous for a film because evidently
- 45:21also when they asked for the rights stepen King also said actually I've got
- 45:25a screenplay right here for you that's basically just verba him the book and
- 45:29was like we're not going to use that I'm writing my
- 45:32own which is also the partly the reason why Stephen King hates the film yeah no
- 45:38I get that too because it's not what he wanted yeah but there's also some
- 45:43bizarre um consistencies between them that they just don't go into like in the
- 45:48book The Novel that Jack is writing is a novel about the Overlook it's it's a
- 45:53book about the history of the Overlook Hotel and there's this whole big plot
- 45:58point where he discovers a scrapbook in
- 46:00the basement which is all of the secrets about the Overlook all just laid out for
- 46:07him right and the hotel put that there purposely for him to find right so he
- 46:11knew all this stuff sure in the movie they don't mention any of that but on
- 46:15the desk next to him when he's typing is a scrapbook right that's just not
- 46:19mentioned but it's clearly just a detail from the book yeah yeah maybe yeah maybe
- 46:24you got shot and it never made it also possible too is that they were going to
- 46:28they were going to include and they just didn't and then it's just a detail now
- 46:32fascina but I love the movie I watched the movie last night again after I
- 46:36finished the book I went straight back and watched the movie um they're great
- 46:40companion pieces to one another really because it's just it's an interpretation
- 46:43it's like listening to a band do a cover of a song you like in a different style
- 46:48that you also like that style of yeah totally yeah I think yeah Stephen King
- 46:53ad adaptations are were so hit and miss I mean they still
- 46:57there' been some really good ones like U Gerald's Game on Netflix was very good
- 47:02Yes actually a lot of the Netflix ones that 1922 on Netflix was very oh yeah
- 47:06with Thomas Jane yeah that was good yeah um yeah the early ones like for example
- 47:11one of my favorite Stephen King books because I read it when I was young and
- 47:13it really appealed to me was The Dark Half yes and the movie of that is
- 47:19[ __ ] awful and best forgotten yeah but I was very excited when when I
- 47:24learned there was a movie until I watched it and like uh the Lang is very
- 47:29famous yes because of the special effects at the end yes [ __ ] [ __ ] H
- 47:35because that well that's another that's another criticism a lot of people level
- 47:39at Stephen King himself was is that his books tend to start very very well and
- 47:45taper off at the end but langal is one of the rare cases where the quality of
- 47:50film making starts off quite good and then tapers off towards the end yeah
- 47:54he's in it at the end he is yeah he's in quite a few of his adaptations he pops
- 47:58up yeah Stephen King's interesting in that because I'm assuming you've read on
- 48:02writing his book about no I never have actually a you should read it it's good
- 48:06yeah maybe I should yeah but he talks about how he is that where he quotes
- 48:10that he's the burger and fries of the litery over probably the thing I always
- 48:15remember about he doesn't use those words because I don't think he uses the
- 48:17word literally over but there's two things that always that that I remember
- 48:23from from from that always and one is one is that he always gets asked what
- 48:26kind of pencils he uses and he's like it's a [ __ ] stupid question like the
- 48:31using the same pencil as me is not going to help you be a better writer amazing
- 48:35and he said this people's obsessions with the tools people use really annoys
- 48:39him and the other thing yeah because it's true I there's it is interesting to
- 48:46learn how people do things on that level like that Lit literally how do you do it
- 48:52I find it interesting but he is right just because I go and buy the same piece
- 48:57of paper you if I go by the yellow notepads that George Lucas yeah you'll
- 49:02be able toide Star Wars exactly Matt find out what [ __ ] paintbrushes
- 49:06Picassa used will be rich exactly and the other thing is he has this whole
- 49:11thing about how he doesn't outline he literally just sits down and writes
- 49:17because he sees it as believe
- 49:22that exactly yeah right but he said and but even the the way he describes he
- 49:27says you the story guide him towards the end a sculptor just there's a statue
- 49:32David's in there and the scul just finding him and I'm like shs away the
- 49:36bits that aren't d That's not how sculpting Works Mr King and that's also
- 49:41I guess I'm like if that's how you feel it when you're write fine but that's not
- 49:46how it works you're making it up it's not there and you're discovering you're
- 49:51making it up you're deciding what comes next after you've written the first bit
- 49:55Yeah because he said he's outlining and it it never worked in because one of the
- 49:59actually one of the stories I think it's in that book he talks about the stand
- 50:02and how he literally just got stuck right had no idea what was gonna happen
- 50:07walked away from it for months and then suddenly one day got the I think the he
- 50:12was like oh a nuke yeah and then like came back and and then yeah and that's
- 50:16why when you read the stand you're like well I came out of [ __ ]
- 50:19nowhere cuz he he didn't work in it for six months and then he was like oh I got
- 50:23an idea mate I reckon he must have done that with um
- 50:27is it dream catcher which I love oh yeah with the aliens show up at the end yeah
- 50:31okay but the aliens show up halfway through it's not an alien book right it
- 50:35starts off friends friends go to a cabin as they do every year and commiserate
- 50:41the fact that one of them is dead yeah they you get the feeling yeah that maybe
- 50:46they killed him yeah and then halfway through [ __ ] that guess what aliens
- 50:51aliens also one of the kids now possessed by the aliens yeah so yeah that's the other
- 50:57thing I always remember that and always think of it when I think of the ones
- 51:00that go off the rails that's why yeah but yeah if that's how he is able to do
- 51:06it well oh yeah whatever I mean the man's prolific he write he wrote so many
- 51:10books that his publisher start started refusing to publish them even though
- 51:14they were all Best Sellers and so he had to write them under an assumed name for a
- 51:18bit that's funny did you watch the second part that's what the dark half is
- 51:23about the dark half the plot of The Dark Half is about as anthor
- 51:27who writes novels and no one likes them but then he writes under a pseudonym yes
- 51:32yes and and everyone loves those books but he feels like he doesn't know where
- 51:36those stories come from and he finds out he had he's a [ __ ] what do they call
- 51:40the the the twin that got absorbed into his he has like an eyeball in his brain
- 51:45and book book is amazing he writes a lot of books about that there's Secret
- 51:50Window I forget what that's the movie but I don't think the book's called that
- 51:54I think they changed the name from the short story but there's um that's about
- 51:57an author who doesn't know if he's plagiarized his books or not yeah okay I
- 52:03remember um what's his name is very good in that by the
- 52:07wayo Yeah cuz he's a [ __ ] psychopath but you don't know if he's real or not
- 52:12because he just starts showing up to Johnny Depp saying you stole my novel
- 52:16and he's like I don't think I did but then he's like did I did I and did I
- 52:20murder my wife that's right did you murder your wife or did I murder my wife
- 52:25I can't remember yeah yeah either way I think there's a woman buried outside one
- 52:30of us has done something one of has got a wife outside did you watch the second
- 52:35part of it the um the recent it yes was it any good I've been told it's not I
- 52:42liked it it it is what it is yeah I liked it it it's problematic separating
- 52:46the two timelines anyway because the whole point of the book it is that you
- 52:53see not flashbacks but you you are informed of the present by what happened
- 52:59in the past and the scenes of juxtaposed we're taking all the kid stuff and
- 53:03putting it in one episode and all the adult stuff putting it in another
- 53:06episode I understand why you would do that but you you get robbed of that
- 53:10symmetry when when you do that yeah it goes a bit off the rails at the end yeah
- 53:16to be honest yeah book as well I I still love it because it's it's got so much
- 53:20good stuff in there I did see a funny AR I was going to say there was a funny
- 53:26argu on Twitter because someone was saying oh they changed it and they're
- 53:28like what bits you talking about oh you know what at the end they Chang and then
- 53:32someone was like sorry were you expecting in the year 2021 or whenever
- 53:36that came out that they were going to literally film a child orgy Stephen King
- 53:41wrote that in the book for some reason back in the80s and listeners for context
- 53:45the kids are in a sewer and they think they're about to die there's one girl
- 53:50and she knows they all the boys have crushes on her so she like lets them all
- 53:55have a go it's weird but it is kind of in context cuz
- 54:00there is this weird sexual undertone to the whole thing cuz of there's just like
- 54:05these pubescent teenagers who are scared of ghost but also want to [ __ ] this girl
- 54:11but they definitely were not going to put that in the movie no 100% we're not
- 54:16going to put that in the movie in any adaptation I don't think that's in the
- 54:19miniseries from the 80s either is it no no no no I'm sure it's not no it's been
- 54:23a long time since I've seen that did they separate the kid story the adult
- 54:26story into separate episodes in that well it was a miniseries though so it
- 54:29was kind of like I mean when you I think when you watch it now it's the same it's
- 54:33like smushed together because it just it's just one big movie because you
- 54:36watch it one after the other yeah yeah yeah with Tim Curry as Pennywise only
- 54:41one of them supposed to see the clown because only one of them scared of
- 54:45clowns yes yeah that's my biggest problem with every adaptation is the
- 54:50clown was too scary became too iconic and just became embedded in that story
- 54:55it's just about a scary clown it's not whatever you fear he appears to you as
- 55:00that yeah yeah one of them sees a wealth one of them sees the Leer uh because his
- 55:06mom's a germaphobe so he sees a leper after him when I see Penny wise I just
- 55:11see my dad really disappointed in me why aren't you a
- 55:16linguist a professor of linguistics I was so specific Denny I
- 55:21was so specific um how long have we been talking we' got 40 minutes on here I
- 55:27think we had 20 minutes on the other one right all right sure and we're at well
