- 0:01Speaker 1: What's up, everybody? Welcome back to another edition to the
- 0:04Speaker 1: Stay Out of My Fridge Podcast, the podcast where it's me,
- 0:07Speaker 1: It's mad, it's Beard, laws, the dad. Sometimes I'm hanging
- 0:10Speaker 1: out with the wife. Sometimes I'm hanging out with multiple kids.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Sometimes it's just one kid. And it's one of those
- 0:15Speaker 1: episodes where it's super busy, it's spooky season and the
- 0:21Speaker 1: person in the studio is wearing ghost pajama pants and
- 0:26Speaker 1: Travis Kelsey jersey and that person is Avery. What's up?
- 0:32Speaker 2: Nothing?
- 0:32Speaker 1: Nothing, It's a weird day off for you. Yeah, no practice,
- 0:39Speaker 1: just straight school, nothing else after school? How weird?
- 0:43Speaker 2: Was it very weird?
- 0:45Speaker 1: Was it? What did you? I mean, did you like
- 0:50Speaker 1: the fact that you didn't have anything to do or
- 0:53Speaker 1: were you kind of like, I don't know what to
- 0:54Speaker 1: do with myself.
- 0:56Speaker 2: I liked that.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Yeah, it's good to have a day off every once
- 0:59Speaker 1: in a while. Mmm mm hmmm. It's been the first
- 1:01Speaker 1: time in a long time. And anything crazy that you
- 1:04Speaker 1: did after they're just straight chilled. Probably scrolled on your phone. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:11Speaker 1: we got rained for the first time in a long time.
- 1:13Speaker 1: That's wild. Huh do you remember what it's like? Did
- 1:16Speaker 1: you smell the smoke in the air this morning, So
- 1:19Speaker 1: all throughout the morning there was.
- 1:20Speaker 2: A smoke just d wasn't it from the Fort Drum
- 1:25Speaker 2: because they tried one of their practice stuff and it exploded.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Is that really what happened or something like that, I'm
- 1:31Speaker 1: not really sure.
- 1:32Speaker 2: So for anybody that doesn't.
- 1:34Speaker 1: It's possible, then I believe they're old. They watched the news,
- 1:37Speaker 1: So for anybody that doesn't know, within about an hour
- 1:39Speaker 1: hour and a half from US is a military base
- 1:42Speaker 1: called Fort Drum in Watertown, New York. And apparently they
- 1:46Speaker 1: were doing some exercises, doing some testing, doing some stuff.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Fire broke out and it was a pretty big fire.
- 1:53Speaker 1: And being a military base, not just everybody in their
- 1:56Speaker 1: brother and our brothers with mustaches and firefighters. I don't
- 2:00Speaker 1: they can just go on base. I'm not really sure
- 2:01Speaker 1: how that works. But it was so strong that we
- 2:04Speaker 1: could smell smoke from it. And hopefully they get that
- 2:06Speaker 1: figured out pretty quickly because in our area there is
- 2:09Speaker 1: burn bands and do you know what a burn band is?
- 2:12Speaker 2: And it's so dry that if you burn something and
- 2:14Speaker 2: catch it on fire, everything so flammable because it's dry,
- 2:18Speaker 2: it just keeps going.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Just keeps going. And going and going.
- 2:22Speaker 2: They Papa Nima said that, or one of them said
- 2:26Speaker 2: that the firefighters couldn't go there or something.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Like they couldn't couldn't get on base to go into it. Yeah,
- 2:33Speaker 1: it's not a weird thing, like the whole base is burning,
- 2:37Speaker 1: but you're not coming on here. You think it's because
- 2:39Speaker 1: they're hiding something or is it gets just for everybody's
- 2:42Speaker 1: safety safety?
- 2:44Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 2:45Speaker 1: Interesting? Ever been on Fortrum? It is a city within
- 2:50Speaker 1: a city. It is huge, it is crazy, it is
- 2:54Speaker 1: it's pretty cool to see. Yeah, so what's up spooky season?
- 2:58Speaker 1: I did mention that you got any spoilers, you got
- 3:02Speaker 1: anything that you're thinking for Halloween costom ideas?
- 3:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm being a neon construction worker. What neon construction
- 3:09Speaker 2: worker with my friends.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Because they're just dressing up as neon construction workers or
- 3:13Speaker 1: just construction workers that wear safety colors.
- 3:16Speaker 2: No, we are wearing hot pink vests with bright green
- 3:21Speaker 2: shorts and a white tank top underneath, with Neon handprints
- 3:27Speaker 2: all over our legs and arms, and then we have
- 3:29Speaker 2: fish paint.
- 3:30Speaker 1: On colored I can tell you I've seen a lot
- 3:33Speaker 1: of construction workers and I've never seen them like the
- 3:37Speaker 1: hat hard hats are no, yeah, pink, actual hard hats
- 3:43Speaker 1: or like toy ones, plastic ones plastic because actual hard
- 3:47Speaker 1: hats they get heavy. This is the first year that
- 3:52Speaker 1: at school you don't get to do the parade. Are
- 3:55Speaker 1: you sad about that a little bit? You looked to it, right, Yeah,
- 4:02Speaker 1: for at least a couple of years. So for aboy
- 4:03Speaker 1: that doesn't know her school would do a parade where
- 4:07Speaker 1: if the weather was terrible, they would just walk around
- 4:09Speaker 1: the gym. That was brutal. I did not like that.
- 4:12Speaker 2: We're gonna do that this year anyways?
- 4:14Speaker 1: Yeah, because the gym is gone rest in pieces. But
- 4:20Speaker 1: then they would just kind of walk around the block.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Some years super cold, some years nice, some years I
- 4:24Speaker 1: don't know, just it was an interesting thing. I would
- 4:27Speaker 1: leave work and go check it out. And you've had
- 4:29Speaker 1: some costumes over the years. Do you do you have
- 4:30Speaker 1: a costume that you think stands out as your favorite
- 4:33Speaker 1: or not really really? My favorite ever was when you
- 4:37Speaker 1: dressed up as the man in the yellow hat from
- 4:40Speaker 1: Curious George.
- 4:41Speaker 2: And I was like, any biddy, you.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Were literallyitty bitty. It was a homemade costume. It was
- 4:46Speaker 1: super cute. And then the last couple of years, you
- 4:49Speaker 1: just seem to I'm going to go to the Halloween
- 4:51Speaker 1: spirit store and pick one out.
- 4:55Speaker 2: I'm making a homemade costume this year, and I'm.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Glad you're back at it. So what's the plan? You
- 4:59Speaker 1: guys are gonna go on the village or something and
- 5:01Speaker 1: do some trick or treating?
- 5:03Speaker 2: Nice?
- 5:04Speaker 1: What's your favorite? I guess part about Halloween is hanging
- 5:07Speaker 1: out with the friends, is getting the candy. It's it
- 5:09Speaker 1: just kind of the whole experience.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Friends.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Friends, that's the whole part. Just friends, like the show friends.
- 5:15Speaker 2: No walking around with them?
- 5:17Speaker 1: Gotcha? Now?
- 5:18Speaker 2: Was there?
- 5:19Speaker 1: So? What was wild? When I was growing up in
- 5:21Speaker 1: not only the city but up here, when you were
- 5:23Speaker 1: a trick or treating, you always had to watch out
- 5:24Speaker 1: for people that would shaving cream you, people that would
- 5:27Speaker 1: throw eggs at you.
- 5:28Speaker 2: People they did shaving cream last year, like just a
- 5:32Speaker 2: random people or like they would know, like you knew
- 5:35Speaker 2: the person.
- 5:35Speaker 1: They gotcha and they just get kids or do they
- 5:38Speaker 1: get adults? Sometimes too?
- 5:40Speaker 2: They got adults and I saw it happen. They didn't
- 5:43Speaker 2: get me though, I ran yikes.
- 5:46Speaker 1: So yeah, they shaving cream, they throw eggs at you.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Then the high schoolers, Yeah.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Then for a while, there was a thing where they'd
- 5:53Speaker 1: shoot you with paintballs that hurt. It was kind of
- 5:56Speaker 1: a scary thing. But Halloween is supposed to be spooky.
- 5:59Speaker 1: It's supposed to be scary. It's supposed to kind of
- 6:02Speaker 1: do that. And shaving cream is pretty harmless, so that's
- 6:04Speaker 1: a good thing, right, Yeah, Well, I think if you're
- 6:07Speaker 1: going to try to hide from people shaving cream you're
- 6:10Speaker 1: wearing neon colors. Is probably not the move, is it?
- 6:13Speaker 1: But you should at least wear some safety goggles so
- 6:15Speaker 1: you don't get some shaving cream in your eyes.
- 6:18Speaker 2: What if they down through shaving cream this share, what
- 6:20Speaker 2: if they do screwing?
- 6:22Speaker 1: Well, that's probably better, right.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Yeah, Okay, Shilly's thing's easy to get off.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Yeah, and shaving cream stinks. I don't know what shaving is,
- 6:31Speaker 1: but it sounds terrible. Although I think I do have
- 6:34Speaker 1: to shave my head. What should I do with my hair?
- 6:37Speaker 1: Should I just shave a bald? Should I get a mullet?
- 6:40Speaker 1: Should I do something?
- 6:41Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 6:41Speaker 1: But the problem is I can't wear a hat and
- 6:44Speaker 1: I'm bald on top and it just looks it looks
- 6:47Speaker 1: not really went from know you're not to not really
- 6:49Speaker 1: to yeah kind of bald. Yeah, it's true. I'm not
- 6:52Speaker 1: showing the camera, but I'm kind of self conscious about it,
- 6:55Speaker 1: so I'm not going to do that anyways. So what
- 6:58Speaker 1: about Halloween movies? Is there any movies or anything? I
- 7:01Speaker 1: know you're not a big movie person, but are there
- 7:03Speaker 1: any movies or something that you look forward to potentially
- 7:05Speaker 1: watch in this Halloween season or not? Really?
- 7:08Speaker 2: No?
- 7:09Speaker 1: No, so you're not a movie So what I did
- 7:11Speaker 1: is I had a pretty cool little movie trivia thing
- 7:14Speaker 1: that was ramped up. But it's more for Isla, because
- 7:16Speaker 1: I don't think you watch a lot of movies and
- 7:17Speaker 1: you're not going to know it. So we're gonna go
- 7:18Speaker 1: ahead and skip that. Anything else on the Halloween thing,
- 7:23Speaker 1: we'll get it more into it as the episodes kind
- 7:26Speaker 1: of ramp up. I don't know. I thought it'd be fun.
- 7:28Speaker 1: You're a big football junkie. Last week, obviously, the time
- 7:31Speaker 1: of the recording is Thursday. We got a little Thursday
- 7:33Speaker 1: night football. You think the Eagles are going to come
- 7:36Speaker 1: out and just take it take it out on the
- 7:38Speaker 1: old Jets or do you think the Jets are gonna
- 7:40Speaker 1: it's Giants? Oh, it's the Giants. Sorry, New York team.
- 7:44Speaker 1: But what's crazy is why my brain went that Thursday
- 7:47Speaker 1: the New Jersey Giants. Yes, I said New Jersey because
- 7:50Speaker 1: that's where they play play Thursday. Then they got to
- 7:52Speaker 1: turn around and flip the stadium again on Sunday because
- 7:55Speaker 1: the Jets are home, because they share a stadium. It's
- 7:57Speaker 1: a lot of work for those people, isn't it. They
- 8:00Speaker 1: must love away games. Yeah, so you think that? I
- 8:03Speaker 1: mean both teams coming off a loss. Do you think
- 8:05Speaker 1: do you think your boy Jackson was a dart? He
- 8:10Speaker 1: looked terrible? Giants looked so bad. It looked they had
- 8:13Speaker 1: a great first drive, they were up, they're playing well,
- 8:15Speaker 1: and then they adjusted and just looked so bad, which,
- 8:19Speaker 1: oh well, But yeah, I think the Eagles are. They're
- 8:22Speaker 1: going to take it out on them, aren't they.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 8:25Speaker 1: Who knows? Could be a week of the underdog. There
- 8:26Speaker 1: was a lot of underdogs that one wasn't there. Yes,
- 8:30Speaker 1: what do you think was your biggest upset of the week?
- 8:33Speaker 1: If you had to look back at all the.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Games, I'd probably say New England beating the Bills.
- 8:40Speaker 1: You think that was the biggest one?
- 8:42Speaker 2: Or the Eagles losing to Denver.
- 8:45Speaker 1: See, I don't know. Denver's got a really good defense.
- 8:48Speaker 1: They've been playing really well. To me personally, I think
- 8:50Speaker 1: the biggest upset was the Cardinals losing to the Titans.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Well, I forgot about that.
- 8:55Speaker 1: That was a pretty That was a pretty big one.
- 8:56Speaker 1: The Bills one, obviously was a big one. I think
- 8:58Speaker 1: that was because they were like an eight point five roughly.
- 9:01Speaker 1: I think the Cardinals were around seven or eight. Especially
- 9:03Speaker 1: the Bills at home, they had those jerseys that were like,
- 9:08Speaker 1: you don't like them. I thought you said you like them,
- 9:10Speaker 1: that they look cool.
- 9:11Speaker 2: They look cool, but I don't like how they're all white.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Yeah, the patches almost look cheap, almost like it was
- 9:17Speaker 1: like a store bought Halloween cos.
- 9:20Speaker 2: The helmets.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Helmets were cool, not the jersey. They're much better than
- 9:25Speaker 1: the ones that the Cardinals were a couple of weeks
- 9:27Speaker 1: ago that looked like somebody just took mud or paint
- 9:30Speaker 1: or something and sprayed it all over them. Those were interesting.
- 9:34Speaker 1: I'm not really sure who got the camera whatever they were.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Other than that, what was I guess a little bit more?
- 9:42Speaker 1: Was there anything that was surprising? Like I said, it
- 9:44Speaker 1: was the week of the underdogs? Was there anything else
- 9:47Speaker 1: that kind of surprised you for the week. No, just
- 9:51Speaker 1: nothing just went exactly as you planned, because it seemed
- 9:53Speaker 1: like you're when you were predicting the games with your
- 9:56Speaker 1: with your weekly picks, you didn't do so good. So
- 9:59Speaker 1: I have to imagine it was a pretty surprising week. So,
- 10:03Speaker 1: I mean, Texans just absolutely destroying the beat up Baltimore Ravens.
- 10:07Speaker 2: They're going to have Lamar Jackson, so they didn't have.
- 10:10Speaker 1: I think there was something that I read that they
- 10:12Speaker 1: were they were missing two hundred and sixty million dollars
- 10:15Speaker 1: of their payroll in players for that game. That's a
- 10:18Speaker 1: lot of money. That's a lot of big key pieces.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Texas steamrolled them on the road. Denver went on the
- 10:25Speaker 1: road and won. Cowboys went on the road and won.
- 10:28Speaker 1: The Cowboys, they beat the Jets, Tampa Bay went on
- 10:34Speaker 1: the road to one. Tennessee went on the road to one.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Washington went on the road and won. Detroit went on
- 10:39Speaker 1: the road to one. New England went on the road
- 10:41Speaker 1: and one. Keeps did not go on the road and
- 10:43Speaker 1: win a lot of road winners. That's wild Chiefs. So
- 10:48Speaker 1: do you think of rebounds in Week six? You got
- 10:49Speaker 1: any bold Week six predictions?
- 10:51Speaker 2: I think that I don't know, but I think the
- 10:57Speaker 2: Bills Falcons game is going to be a good game.
- 11:00Speaker 2: But I think the Bills are gonna win because they
- 11:03Speaker 2: just lost and they're gonna come out and play harder.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, all right, do you think that? Uh, let's
- 11:10Speaker 1: see any other shockers. So that's your big one. I'm
- 11:12Speaker 1: gonna say the Titans are gonna win back to back games.
- 11:17Speaker 1: They're four and a half point underdog on the road
- 11:20Speaker 1: versus the Raiders. I like them. I like them to
- 11:24Speaker 1: u to cover and and win.
- 11:26Speaker 2: I think the Chiefs are gonna live to the Lions.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Yeah, two and a half point favorite. The Chiefs are
- 11:34Speaker 1: currently We'll see how that goes. That's gonna be a game.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Chiefs are at home, Lions are on the road.
- 11:38Speaker 2: That's why.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Yep, they get a couple of points there at home.
- 11:41Speaker 1: I don't know they it's not like a must win
- 11:43Speaker 1: at this point. But the Chiefs go to and.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Four pretty big you need to win.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, let's let's look at not that we're
- 11:50Speaker 1: trying to be a full sports podcast, but Avery is
- 11:54Speaker 1: a sports a football chunkie. But if we're looking at
- 11:57Speaker 1: your division right now, it's not bad because that's Chargers
- 12:00Speaker 1: are three and two, the Broncos are three and two,
- 12:02Speaker 1: year two and three, and the Raiders are one.
- 12:04Speaker 2: And four, So you're the one the Raiders dead.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Yeah, they they won a game. Who did they beat
- 12:09Speaker 1: they ended up beating They beat the Patriots. It's a
- 12:14Speaker 1: little bit of a shocker, but yeah, yeah, So I
- 12:16Speaker 1: mean at the end of the day, you're a game
- 12:17Speaker 1: back because I got to do is win the division.
- 12:20Speaker 1: You're gonna play the Chargers, You're gonna play the Denver
- 12:22Speaker 1: You're going to get a shot at them. It's these
- 12:23Speaker 1: other games that you really gotta yeh, I say, you really,
- 12:27Speaker 1: but the Chiefs really got to step up. It seems
- 12:29Speaker 1: like AFC South is the at this point, could be
- 12:33Speaker 1: the could be the division to be. You got the
- 12:35Speaker 1: Colts four and one, the Jags, yes they die.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Is usually they're all bad and one of them has
- 12:41Speaker 2: to make the playoffs. So yeah, usually it's like.
- 12:45Speaker 1: What's more what's more shocking? I guess the Colts four
- 12:47Speaker 1: and one or the Jaguars for and one. They're both
- 12:50Speaker 1: a little bit what.
- 12:52Speaker 2: The Colts have been horrible. So they got Dan and
- 12:56Speaker 2: the Downs. He really let him up.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Do you think he comeback player of the year right.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Now, probably with the Giants and Trevor Lawrence coming off
- 13:07Speaker 2: as concussion last year.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Mm hmm. It's also it's also pretty surprising the Niners
- 13:13Speaker 1: four and one without some key pieces.
- 13:16Speaker 2: That George Kittle.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that's another interesting one. Tampa Bay four and one,
- 13:23Speaker 1: they're pretty good. They're pretty good. Yeah, yeah, it's not
- 13:25Speaker 1: overly surprising. One of the best jerseys in football. They
- 13:28Speaker 1: were last year out.
- 13:29Speaker 2: The throwback one. I love those. They should wear those
- 13:33Speaker 2: every every game, wear them.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Till they lose. Yes, that's what I say. Detroit's four
- 13:37Speaker 1: and one, I don't think that's a shocker. And Eagles
- 13:39Speaker 1: four and one, I don't think that's overly shocking as well.
- 13:42Speaker 1: But a lot of a lot of good teams, a
- 13:44Speaker 1: lot of interesting teams, a lot of football to be played.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Super excited. Week six already.
- 13:50Speaker 2: The Steelers were three and one. That's surprising.
- 13:52Speaker 1: That's also surprising. I didn't want to talk about it
- 13:54Speaker 1: and to bring it up because they're going to probably
- 13:56Speaker 1: lose into the Cleveland Browns and that'll think. But that's
- 13:59Speaker 1: the beauty of football. You show up, you gotta play
- 14:02Speaker 1: that game, right. Speaking of playing games. Your season is
- 14:06Speaker 1: wrapping up less than four games to go. Pretty impressive season,
- 14:10Speaker 1: I think for your first kind of school team, and
- 14:14Speaker 1: I'm really looking forward to it. I mean, lost to
- 14:17Speaker 1: two really good teams, three really good teams, one non
- 14:20Speaker 1: league couple. Here, got a chance to kind of, you know,
- 14:23Speaker 1: see if how much you've improved versus these teams. I'm
- 14:26Speaker 1: looking forward to it. You got a chance to put
- 14:27Speaker 1: up ten dubs in your first season. That's pretty impressive. Yeah,
- 14:32Speaker 1: and then you got to carry it over into some
- 14:33Speaker 1: basketball and softball. The future is bright. But how's the soccer?
- 14:39Speaker 1: How's things? Still still loving it, still liking it, still
- 14:43Speaker 1: liking it better than your thought going into you know,
- 14:45Speaker 1: the off season in the summer, when you were kind
- 14:47Speaker 1: of like soccer. Yeah, still not a top sport probably,
- 14:51Speaker 1: but a lot I feel like you're enjoying it a
- 14:54Speaker 1: lot more.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Yeah, that's good. I like not playing guns boys.
- 14:58Speaker 1: I tried to tell you that it would be a
- 15:00Speaker 1: lot different to be able to play against all girls
- 15:04Speaker 1: in sports. It's going to be. It's gonna be good.
- 15:06Speaker 1: But anything anything else you're looking to wrap, you know,
- 15:09Speaker 1: for the rest of the season, finish strong, Yeah, yep. Good.
- 15:13Speaker 1: That's good. That's good. And are you looking forward to basketball?
- 15:16Speaker 1: Are you still just kind of let's ride out soccer
- 15:18Speaker 1: and we'll get to be ball when we get to
- 15:20Speaker 1: B ball.
- 15:20Speaker 2: I'm excited for basketball.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Yeah, it's gonna be a crazy year. Every single game
- 15:24Speaker 1: is going to be a road game. Yeah, but it
- 15:27Speaker 1: is what it is and at this time, and you're
- 15:29Speaker 1: helping out coaching the younger kids with me, which is
- 15:33Speaker 1: very much appreciated. So that's a lot of fun. Yeah,
- 15:37Speaker 1: anything else you want to talk about with that or know,
- 15:39Speaker 1: I want to talk quickly about something that I've been
- 15:42Speaker 1: wanting you to do, but you're like, no, I don't,
- 15:45Speaker 1: but yeah I do. No, I don't. Is the poutine reviews?
- 15:49Speaker 1: Don't roll your eyes at me. You love poutine? Am
- 15:53Speaker 1: I wrong?
- 15:54Speaker 2: No?
- 15:55Speaker 1: And we started to officially rank poutines on our Google
- 16:00Speaker 1: Drive and you had one that ranked pretty pretty high
- 16:04Speaker 1: up there on the list the other day, didn't you.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Yes, it was actually really good.
- 16:08Speaker 1: And we were at the Bay Side, which is in Auginsburg,
- 16:11Speaker 1: New York, and you gave it an eight point four
- 16:13Speaker 1: out of ten.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Yeah, it was really god which.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Lands into your top three. For some reason, you have
- 16:19Speaker 1: a you have a love for eight point fours. Oh, Syracuse, Metz.
- 16:24Speaker 1: When we went down there and you had a poutine,
- 16:25Speaker 1: you ranked it eight point four. We went to the
- 16:28Speaker 1: gas station randomly in Parishville, you ranked it in eight
- 16:31Speaker 1: point four. That should be lower, Oh should it? Let's
- 16:34Speaker 1: rerank it.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Yeah, think now that like I'm rating now that I
- 16:38Speaker 2: moved all the other ones down because I didn't like
- 16:40Speaker 2: how high I rted it. That should be like seven
- 16:44Speaker 2: point four.
- 16:45Speaker 1: All right, Perishvil gas station, Sorry about it. Don't know
- 16:47Speaker 1: you're even your real name, but you're down to a
- 16:49Speaker 1: seven point four bay side eight point four Gliss's Tavern
- 16:53Speaker 1: seven point eight. We had the Chevrolet Bar, which is
- 16:56Speaker 1: down in Pennsylvania, had a some point two fire host pizza,
- 17:00Speaker 1: five rock car just straight five. Wasn't your style? Elevin
- 17:04Speaker 1: West though, when we went there nine point three five
- 17:08Speaker 1: solid score. That was a solid poutine. Yes, it was
- 17:11Speaker 1: little bit harder in the ranking because it was a
- 17:13Speaker 1: little different style. It wasn't just your traditional poutine where
- 17:17Speaker 1: it was just fries, gravy cheese curd. It was fries, gravy,
- 17:19Speaker 1: cheese curd and ground beef. Yes, and it was again
- 17:22Speaker 1: a little elevated. That was good, but still holding strong.
- 17:26Speaker 1: The Iron Horse in Morris count New York nine point four. Yes,
- 17:31Speaker 1: solid poutine.
- 17:31Speaker 2: I do agree, amazing.
- 17:33Speaker 1: That was one of the best poutines that I've ever
- 17:36Speaker 1: had in there, and there is someones missing. So I'm
- 17:38Speaker 1: going to say out here, if you're local or potentially
- 17:40Speaker 1: a place where we travel and you want Avery to
- 17:42Speaker 1: come into a poutine review, let us know. We'll go there.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Would you if the company or the business was willing
- 17:48Speaker 1: and wanted to promote it with me and you would
- 17:51Speaker 1: you do a video for said company?
- 17:53Speaker 2: Yes?
- 17:54Speaker 1: Ooh, all right, you could be the first person, the
- 17:58Speaker 1: first business to have an Avery poutine review and we'll
- 18:01Speaker 1: let we will even put it on the channel. We'll
- 18:03Speaker 1: do it in a like real short form style, and
- 18:06Speaker 1: we'll put it even on the Beer Laws channel. But
- 18:07Speaker 1: we'll do a whole separate segment Avery's Poutine Reviews if
- 18:10Speaker 1: it really catches off, where we go on site and
- 18:12Speaker 1: we rank the poutines. Is there anyone that you are
- 18:15Speaker 1: kind of looking forward to that you've heard things about?
- 18:18Speaker 2: Or no? No, actually yes, the what is it?
- 18:24Speaker 1: Oh, you tell me?
- 18:24Speaker 2: By the old golf course, by.
- 18:27Speaker 1: The old golf course in on the Greens though, but
- 18:35Speaker 1: that's what it used to be. It's East Branch. Yes,
- 18:40Speaker 1: my brain just went super old school, all right, so
- 18:43Speaker 1: I'm going to add this to the East. Sorry to
- 18:45Speaker 1: the East Branch in people. My brain went old school
- 18:49Speaker 1: East Branch. Okay, so we got you on there, East Branch.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Would let us do a review there, Charlton Brothers. They're
- 18:56Speaker 1: putting out some good food. I've never had a bad
- 18:58Speaker 1: meal there. I've been there and at any anywhere else
- 19:00Speaker 1: that you're thinking that that we need to try, nothing
- 19:03Speaker 1: comes to mind.
- 19:04Speaker 2: We'll just think, you know what my friends will make
- 19:05Speaker 2: because she likes spootin a lot.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Yeah, so we'll have to That's gonna be on the list,
- 19:10Speaker 1: and we'll continually do that. And if you guys love
- 19:13Speaker 1: this list, maybe we'll do some follow ups and some
- 19:15Speaker 1: places see if the rating's sold there. But we got
- 19:17Speaker 1: a lot of places to cover. And I'm excited for this.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Aren't you glad that I decided to get you a list? Going?
- 19:22Speaker 2: Ye?
- 19:23Speaker 1: Or you're just kind of over it over it.
- 19:25Speaker 2: Or you're excited over I'm excited.
- 19:28Speaker 1: You said yes to both? All right? Well, want to
- 19:31Speaker 1: let's see here. One to a little I guess nineties
- 19:34Speaker 1: style trivia? Yeah, feeling it all right? Let's go ahead,
- 19:39Speaker 1: hand to a little nineties theme trivia game. And should
- 19:44Speaker 1: we do many punishments if you get it wrong? WHOA Okay,
- 19:51Speaker 1: this one's a music one. It's gonna be named that
- 19:54Speaker 1: tune Walkman edition. I'm gonna hummer single line from a
- 19:58Speaker 1: nineties hit. You have to name the artist or the
- 20:01Speaker 1: Backstreet Boys, whatever you want to get rid of the punishment. No, okay,
- 20:08Speaker 1: sorry to anybody in advance for my terrible humming and
- 20:10Speaker 1: singing skills. Are you ready what? It wasn't a fart?
- 20:16Speaker 1: It was my chair. This sounds like it's my chair
- 20:19Speaker 1: hitting all right, here we go. Hmm, that's pretty good.
- 20:29Speaker 1: I feel you know the name of the song or
- 20:31Speaker 1: the artist?
- 20:33Speaker 2: I know it, but like I don't what is it?
- 20:36Speaker 2: I don't know you I do, but I like no
- 20:40Speaker 2: recognize this song Blake, I don't know who it's bye?
- 20:43Speaker 1: Do you know the name of the song. I'll give
- 20:45Speaker 1: you either. Do you give up?
- 20:50Speaker 2: Yes?
- 20:50Speaker 1: It's no scrubs TLC. I don't want no scrubs. Scrub
- 20:56Speaker 1: is a no from me. Hanging out the passengers of
- 21:02Speaker 1: your best friend's ride trying to holler at me. I
- 21:07Speaker 1: don't know this actually, gotcha?
- 21:10Speaker 2: I want it that way?
- 21:11Speaker 1: Well done.
- 21:12Speaker 2: I don't know the name, I mean the artist.
- 21:15Speaker 1: Backstreet Boys, bas Street Boys? What else were you gonna
- 21:18Speaker 1: You're never gonna know that one. I don't know how
- 21:21Speaker 1: to hum that one. I'm trying to think it in
- 21:23Speaker 1: my head. It's different when you're hearing it and then
- 21:26Speaker 1: you're trying to do let's go with the No, that's
- 21:28Speaker 1: not how it goes. I should have practiced these before. Huh. Yeah,
- 21:32Speaker 1: that's gonna be a tough one. You're not gonna get
- 21:34Speaker 1: that one. Okay, we're gonna I'm not gonna put you
- 21:37Speaker 1: through the other three. You're never gonna give do you know?
- 21:39Speaker 1: Alanis Morris aid at all?
- 21:41Speaker 2: No?
- 21:42Speaker 1: Have you ever heard of Nirvana? Yes you have, just
- 21:46Speaker 1: because you have a T shirt doesn't mean you heard
- 21:47Speaker 1: of them. Do you know any of the songs? And
- 21:50Speaker 1: then there was one that was Spice Girls that I
- 21:52Speaker 1: was going to try to do, but I don't know
- 21:53Speaker 1: how it goes.
- 21:54Speaker 2: I know the Spice Girls.
- 21:55Speaker 1: Do you know wanta be? If you can sing or
- 21:58Speaker 1: hum that song?
- 21:59Speaker 2: I know, I don't know.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Yeah, that's kind of how I was all right, let's
- 22:04Speaker 1: hit you with a couple more questions and we'll get
- 22:06Speaker 1: out of here. All right, what did us kids use
- 22:09Speaker 1: before texting?
- 22:11Speaker 2: Letters?
- 22:12Speaker 1: Well, you know what letters? Folding notes like? We used
- 22:18Speaker 1: to people used to write on there? Do you like me? Check?
- 22:21Speaker 1: Yes or no?
- 22:21Speaker 2: People still do that?
- 22:22Speaker 1: I still do that.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Yes?
- 22:24Speaker 1: Do you get them? No? Yeah?
- 22:26Speaker 2: It's like a younger kid thing.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Fair enough?
- 22:31Speaker 2: All right?
- 22:31Speaker 1: Wow, one for one? What did every nice kid blow
- 22:37Speaker 1: into before they used it? M We never knew why
- 22:42Speaker 1: we did. We just did. And it turns out it
- 22:45Speaker 1: was terrible that we did this, but we still did.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Balloon?
- 22:51Speaker 1: No, that would make sense to blow into the balloon?
- 22:53Speaker 1: Is that terrible?
- 22:54Speaker 2: No? Toilet?
- 22:57Speaker 1: Why would we blow into a toilet?
- 23:00Speaker 2: You said it was terrible.
- 23:02Speaker 1: That would be terrible. But do you think it was like, oh,
- 23:04Speaker 1: better blow into the toilet real quick before I use it.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Maybe it was terrible because it was splashed.
- 23:10Speaker 1: That would be terrible. No, that I was blue into
- 23:13Speaker 1: a toilet, Oh my gosh, unbelievable.
- 23:18Speaker 2: I've done that, right, But.
- 23:19Speaker 1: You're not a nineties kid. You give up a Nintendo cartridge?
- 23:25Speaker 2: What's that?
- 23:25Speaker 1: The game? It used to be like from Nintendo they
- 23:28Speaker 1: were cartridges, so they were like this big by this
- 23:30Speaker 1: and you had to put them into the Nintendo and
- 23:33Speaker 1: underneath it was like an opening and the little line
- 23:35Speaker 1: that actually had the game. So for some reason it
- 23:37Speaker 1: wouldn't work. There was there was no internet, there was
- 23:41Speaker 1: no everything. It wasn't like there was somebody out there
- 23:43Speaker 1: was like, yeah, just blow on it. For some reason,
- 23:44Speaker 1: we would all go thinking you had to blow the
- 23:46Speaker 1: dust off them or something and put it in and
- 23:48Speaker 1: then they would work. It turns out that's really bad
- 23:51Speaker 1: because when you're blowing a little bit of spit gets
- 23:53Speaker 1: in there. Water. Video games not so good. But we
- 23:57Speaker 1: all did it and we didn't know why. Weird, right, Yeah,
- 24:01Speaker 1: what was the most stressful part of burning a CD?
- 24:06Speaker 1: Do you think?
- 24:06Speaker 2: What do you mean most dressful part or stressful?
- 24:10Speaker 1: Stressful? I say dressful, Yeah, I think I said stressful.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Trustful because you can't use it anymore, and it would
- 24:17Speaker 2: be sad.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Why can't you use it anymore if you burn it? No,
- 24:23Speaker 1: So burning a CD meant actually what you had to
- 24:26Speaker 1: do when you burned a CD, burn it. You didn't
- 24:29Speaker 1: you didn't melt it, you didn't catch it on fire.
- 24:31Speaker 1: So when you burned a CD. You actually had to
- 24:34Speaker 1: take songs, download songs, then use a program put in
- 24:37Speaker 1: a CD and then it put the songs onto the
- 24:41Speaker 1: CD to be played. So all those up there, yes,
- 24:43Speaker 1: so that that was the terminology.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Because it would if you mess it up, it might
- 24:49Speaker 2: not be right. That'd be stressful.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Yeah, you mess them up all the time, but it
- 24:54Speaker 1: would didn't really fail that much. Honestly. You put there
- 24:56Speaker 1: you burn, so.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Be sad if you.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Yikes. Well, the answer that I put on there was
- 25:06Speaker 1: when somebody would pick up the phone and kill your
- 25:10Speaker 1: internet connection mid download or mid burn, and then it
- 25:14Speaker 1: would just ruin the whole thing and you had to
- 25:16Speaker 1: start over. Said you talked about it, you'd be sad
- 25:21Speaker 1: that you burned it. That's not basically what you said,
- 25:23Speaker 1: pick it up the.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Phone, get one. When I said if someone messed it up,
- 25:28Speaker 2: you would, it would stress you out.
- 25:31Speaker 1: That's a that's a technicality. I'll give it to you.
- 25:35Speaker 1: I'll give it to you.
- 25:36Speaker 2: All right.
- 25:38Speaker 1: What snack did every nineties lunchbox need inchable? That's not
- 25:45Speaker 1: quite a snack, that was a meal. I'll give you
- 25:47Speaker 1: a multiple choice on this one. Caprice Son Gogerts or
- 25:52Speaker 1: string cheese. What do you think, in my opinion, was
- 25:55Speaker 1: the must have ninety snack that had to go in
- 25:58Speaker 1: the lunch box Dunkers bruise. I don't want dunkers on
- 26:03Speaker 1: the dunkerr.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Because NEMA has them and you they're.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Pretty sweet, right, Get those little animal style crackers, dunk them.
- 26:10Speaker 2: I like the confetti dunks, not the chocolate.
- 26:14Speaker 1: All right, I'll give you this one multiple choice as well.
- 26:17Speaker 1: All right, which nineties toy caused pure chaos at school?
- 26:22Speaker 1: Was it the tamagatchi? Was it the yo yo? Was
- 26:25Speaker 1: it beanie babies? Or was it all of the above?
- 26:29Speaker 2: All of the above?
- 26:30Speaker 1: Do you always just pick all of the above when
- 26:32Speaker 1: you see it?
- 26:33Speaker 2: No, yeah, you do, yeah, because usually if they give
- 26:36Speaker 2: you an all of the above answer, it's usually that
- 26:39Speaker 2: or they wouldn't give it to you.
- 26:41Speaker 1: I'm going to put one in there next time, and
- 26:42Speaker 1: it's going to be wrong. Yeah, they all cause kids.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Do you know what a beanie baby is?
- 26:46Speaker 2: Yes? I used to get a bunch of them. Do
- 26:49Speaker 2: you really I have a bunch of them.
- 26:51Speaker 1: It's probably worth a lot of money. You could be
- 26:53Speaker 1: a millionaire right now and not even know it.
- 26:55Speaker 2: And I have one that has my birthday as it's birthday.
- 26:58Speaker 1: Wow, you should we shoul look into those where you
- 27:01Speaker 1: know where they are?
- 27:02Speaker 2: Yeah, they're at my mom's house.
- 27:05Speaker 1: All right, Well, I don't know. I think that's good.
- 27:08Speaker 1: We got thirty minutes in. I want to call it good.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Yeah, all right.
- 27:11Speaker 1: It's a little hot in the studio today, isn't it?
- 27:14Speaker 1: All right? Every thanks for joining me. Don't break that
- 27:19Speaker 1: hat hook that's attached to your chicken. And how do
- 27:21Speaker 1: you look like? Or red? And backer again? If you
- 27:23Speaker 1: want her to do a poutine, a peutine, peute, puke,
- 27:28Speaker 1: you want her to do a poutine review, hit us up.
- 27:31Speaker 1: We'll go on site. We'll bring all our fancy mics
- 27:34Speaker 1: and cameras and we'll make it look good. Good luck
- 27:37Speaker 1: to the rest of you on the rest of the
- 27:39Speaker 1: sports season, looking forward to it. And uh, that's all.
- 27:42Speaker 1: We got one more thing. We got a lot of
- 27:44Speaker 1: stuff in the fridge right now. We're gonna go inside
- 27:46Speaker 1: and make some tacos and nachos. But there's even some
- 27:49Speaker 1: cookies out there, and I don't want you to touch them.
- 27:51Speaker 1: It's avery stay out of my fridge. That's all we
- 27:54Speaker 1: got back next week.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Fridge Bye. It's the cast. You the doors.
- 28:01Speaker 1: Stay out of my fresh wear, that ready to explore.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Gotta tell the tale, Gonna make your laugh and make
- 28:07Speaker 1: you smile, So buckle up, tie, it's gonna be a umbride.
- 28:12Speaker 1: You're tiding deep into your fresh West secret
