- 0:00SPEAKER_01: When is it enough, you know?
- 0:01SPEAKER_01: And that's what they're trying to tell me.
- 0:03SPEAKER_01: Like that's the wrong question, right?
- 0:05SPEAKER_01: That's the wrong um perception.
- 0:07SPEAKER_01: It's not when are you enough?
- 0:09SPEAKER_01: It's that you are already enough.
- 0:11SPEAKER_01: And and that feeds into the whole concept of what dis-ease really is, anyhow.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: It's us not feeling like we're good enough.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: Well, well, it it you you you so so what you have there is the difference between conditional and unconditional affirmation.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: So we we live, listen, Cena, we we are surrounded by conditional affirmation.
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: I'll do this for you if you do this for me.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: You do this for me, and I'll do this for you.
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: That's that's conditional.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: That's conditional.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: And and and and that that is good, that's the basis of business commerce, of of everything, right?
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: Um uh tit we you know we say tit for tat.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: Uh that that's the way we do.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: But but what you're describing is unconditional.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: Hi everyone, welcome to another episode of Beyond Labels Podcast with yours truly, Joel Salatin, the farmer, and our favorite researcher, Dr.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: Cena McCullough.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: Several episodes ago, Cena went into great detail and was very transparent about her healing journey.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: You know, here's a lady who was planning her funeral, had uh everything going for her in life, had been seemingly successful on many fronts, academically, vocationally, and was planning a funeral and in her 30s, in early 30s.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: And um, and so her story uh generated a tremendous amount of interest, of questions, uh, because uh some of some of us are going through that same time now or know people who are and who are just in their in their complete um whatever, depression, frustration, um can't can't do this mode.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: So a lot of questions came in on that, uh on the physical, mental, uh, spiritual, and emotional level.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: And we can't tackle them all in one episode.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: So what Cena decided to do was to um was to gear in on this podcast on the physical and mental parts of reversing uh chronic degenerative disease.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: We'll deal with that one, and then we'll get to some of the emotional stuff in a later podcast.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: We're hearing your questions.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: We love your feedback.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: That's what drives the program.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: And if I may do just a little uh plug here.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: If you like this content, if you think this is helpful, if you have a friend you think this would be helpful for, please uh ping them on this and uh and encourage them to jump in because we we truly um we don't have all the answers, but we sure enjoy uh the two of us discussing um uh you know possibilities, dreams, and and hopefully drill down on some helpful solutions for you.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: So uh without further ado, I'm gonna turn it over to Cena, who's been tracking these questions, and um, and we'll try to address some of this in in this episode.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: Awesome.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: Thank you, Joel.
- 3:21SPEAKER_01: Okay, we have a lot of questions, so let's jump right in.
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: The first one is about uh basically are all diseases reversible, right?
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: Numerous people sending in different versions of this type of question, asking them are are specific diseases reversible, like um arthritis, is that reversible?
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: Is cancer reversible?
- 3:43SPEAKER_01: Is heart disease reversible?
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: So the answer to all of them is yes, all chronic and autoimmune diseases are reversible.
- 3:53SPEAKER_01: And how do I know this?
- 3:54SPEAKER_01: We know this from peer-reviewed scientific literature, from case studies, and from real-world experiences in clinics across the world that have successfully reversed all types of what they're calling diseases, right?
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: So this could be from cancer to diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, lupus, MS, arthritis, autism, asthma, Alzheimer's, depression, seasonal allergies, psoriasis, any type of disease that you can think of, we know that it could be reversed.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 4:32SPEAKER_01: Um and for me, you know, it I always knew that the diseases could be reversed because I have this strong belief that God didn't create us to be sick, right?
- 4:46SPEAKER_01: That he created us to thrive all the way up until our last breath.
- 4:51SPEAKER_01: Um, so I held on to that belief from an early age.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: Um, I think it might be a little difficult sometimes for people to accept that all diseases can be reversed because it's so contrary to the mainstream media and the mainstream message and you know, the mainstream medical establishment, right?
- 5:15SPEAKER_01: And and so I just choose not to believe what they believe.
- 5:19SPEAKER_01: And consequently, consequently, I'm healed and they deal with sick people coming in and out of the hospital constantly, never healing.
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: So you know, you know, Cena, you I mean, you you have really hit on, and I don't want to get get a sidetracked here on the discussion, but but I'll tell you, you and I had a discussion.
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: I don't know whether we actually uh maybe it was just when you were here we were talking about things, but um, you know, I I since since I'll just give you uh give you a thumbs up and a tribute here.
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, my my mom, my mom is gonna be 100 on December the 11th.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: And um and and she's she's deteriorating, she's declining, uh pretty, pretty, you know, pretty aggressively and and and steadily.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: And um, and she's now at the point where she's um I I think she really just doesn't, she wants to make a hundred and then doesn't want to live anymore.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: Uh I'm I'm you know, basically I'm done.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: I you know, I can't do what I like to do.
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: Um I'm dependent on other people and and all that.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: And um so you know, a couple times I've taken her home after eating supper over here at our house.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: She lives, you know, you know, she lives like 30 feet out outside our house.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: And um, and and um, and she's said uh a couple times to me, I sure hope you don't I sure hope you don't go through this.
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: I sure hope you don't get like this or whatever.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: And um and and it struck me how easy it is to uh you know, I'm I'm a lot older than you are, and it it's very easy when you start seeing some of that physical, I mean, look, you you can't reverse you you we do age, okay, and you know, and you're not 20 anymore, uh, when you're 70, okay?
- 7:13SPEAKER_00: And and so it's so easy to fall into that trap of, well, you know, this is just the you know, this is old age, this is just the way blah, blah, blah.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: And so you have encouraged me to actually um think positively.
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: Um, I'm gonna stay active.
- 7:37SPEAKER_00: I'm excited about tomorrow.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: I'm excited about projects.
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: And and you know, our society beats you down.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: They just, oh, you know, um uh getting older is a drag, you know, and you you you hear and and and boy, you know, it takes it takes every fiber of your being to actually um, you know, whatever, pump yourself up to to to run a narrative in your head, to run a narrative in your head that's counter to that.
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: So thank you for that.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: And I'm I'm working on it, but it, you know, it it affects us all, doesn't it?
- 8:24SPEAKER_01: It does.
- 8:24SPEAKER_01: And thank you for sharing that.
- 8:26SPEAKER_01: Like I I didn't know that.
- 8:28SPEAKER_01: And it is difficult to watch somebody else in that period of senescence.
- 8:34SPEAKER_01: You know, I you know, I went through it with my mom and my stepdad.
- 8:38SPEAKER_01: Um, it it is hard, it is hard to stay the course, right?
- 8:43SPEAKER_01: And so, and so I'll say it kind of in a nonchalant way now, like, oh, I just chose not to believe it, right?
- 8:49SPEAKER_01: Because now it's my norm, but it it did take um it took a lot of knowing who I am, right?
- 8:59SPEAKER_01: And knowing and basically building my relationship with God to trust that He didn't want me to be sick, um and being determined, right?
- 9:12SPEAKER_01: Because I have I'm I'm no different than you, where I do have I'm surrounded by people all the time who are not healthy, who are complaining about one thing or the next, you know?
- 9:26SPEAKER_01: And I'll tell you, um, this is something I haven't shared before, but there have been a couple times along the way, once I was already healed, there were a couple times when because I was surrounded by it so much that I started to question whether or not I was gonna get sick again.
- 9:46SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 9:47SPEAKER_01: That fear came up inside me.
- 9:50SPEAKER_01: And um, I even now like I can feel an emotional response, some like kind of tears coming to my eyes.
- 9:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I can I can hear your voice, your voice quiver a little bit.
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, these are these are such such deep things, and um, and if we don't if we don't actually face them, we we bury them, don't we?
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: And if we bury them, and if we bury them, then we can't deal with them.
- 10:16SPEAKER_01: Exactly right.
- 10:17SPEAKER_01: And you know, this is remarkable.
- 10:19SPEAKER_01: We did not plan this this way with you know the order of these podcasts, but we literally just recorded this morning Joel's podcast on his new book, The The Um Homestead Tsunami.
- 10:30SPEAKER_01: And we spent a lot of time talking about the feeling of not feeling good enough, not feeling love, not feeling worthy, not doing enough.
- 10:38SPEAKER_01: And um like, whew.
- 10:41SPEAKER_01: So what I what I realized when I sat down and was honest with myself is that I let all of that external negativity get to me.
- 10:53SPEAKER_01: And I remember saying to Donnie and to a good um good friend of mine, um, Alberto and Annette, and they they actually, you know them, Alberto and Annette, they actually run the Wise Tutricians podcast for the Spanish version version of it.
- 11:10SPEAKER_01: Um, they come and visit me like about once a year now, and they they pen pal with my with my kids and everything.
- 11:15SPEAKER_01: It's great.
- 11:16SPEAKER_01: Um, but I realized that because I listen to everybody else, because it's a constant bombardment of this negativity, and it's it's just constantly people getting sick and people not reversing conditions, even when I'm trying to help them do it, they're they're not doing it.
- 11:35SPEAKER_01: And some and I started to doubt.
- 11:37SPEAKER_01: And so, as you know, in my story, I basically was saved by God because I called out to him and said, you know, if you save me so that my kids have a mother, then I'll spend the rest of my life helping the rest of your children get their second chance.
- 11:58SPEAKER_01: Well, I was afraid that I wasn't doing enough, that God wouldn't be happy with what I was doing.
- 12:06SPEAKER_01: It wasn't enough, and I would get sick again.
- 12:10SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 12:11SPEAKER_01: And so I remember Annette and Alberto were here for a visit, and I shared that with them.
- 12:16SPEAKER_01: And I said, and I was, you know, tearing up.
- 12:19SPEAKER_01: And I said, I don't know when enough is enough, but I feel like I don't know any boundaries.
- 12:25SPEAKER_01: I, you know, I feel like I have to keep doing more and more and more, right?
- 12:29SPEAKER_01: Keep expanding upon what I'm doing so that it is enough so that he continues to save me, right?
- 12:36SPEAKER_01: Continues to keep me healthy.
- 12:38SPEAKER_01: And it was so amazing.
- 12:40SPEAKER_01: They said to me, if you don't write one more book, if you don't do one more podcast, like if you don't take one more client, you have done enough.
- 12:50SPEAKER_01: Like you are enough.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 12:52SPEAKER_01: And I and it was like this release, this freeing.
- 12:56SPEAKER_01: Where, yeah, it took the burden off.
- 12:59SPEAKER_01: And I was like, wait a minute, that's true.
- 13:01SPEAKER_01: Like, like my relationship with God is not one of fear, it's one of love, right?
- 13:06SPEAKER_01: And here I am saying, Oh, he's he's judging me.
- 13:10SPEAKER_01: He's thinking that it's it's it's it's never gonna be good enough.
- 13:12SPEAKER_01: Like, when is it enough?
- 13:14SPEAKER_01: You know, and that's what they're trying to tell me.
- 13:16SPEAKER_01: Like, that's the wrong question, right?
- 13:17SPEAKER_01: That's the wrong uh perception.
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: It's not when are you enough?
- 13:22SPEAKER_01: It's that you are already enough.
- 13:24SPEAKER_01: And and that feeds into the whole concept of what dis-ease really is, anyhow.
- 13:29SPEAKER_01: It's us not feeling like we're good enough.
- 13:32SPEAKER_00: Well, well, it it you you you so so what you have there is the difference between conditional and unconditional affirmation.
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: So we we live, listen, Cena, we we are surrounded by conditional affirmation.
- 13:48SPEAKER_00: I'll do this for you if you do this for me.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: You do this for me, and I'll do this for you.
- 13:53SPEAKER_00: That's that's conditional.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: That's conditional.
- 13:56SPEAKER_00: And and and and that that is good, that's the basis of of business commerce, of of everything, right?
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: Um uh tit we you know, we say tit for tat.
- 14:06SPEAKER_00: Uh that that's the way we do.
- 14:07SPEAKER_00: But but what you're describing is unconditional.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: And and and and there aren't there aren't any conditions.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: And fortunately, with God, um, he loves unconditionally.
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: And uh and and he doesn't put conditions.
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: You know, if you you know, if if you go here, go here, talk to that person, do this, then I'll love you.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: No.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: Um he we we we can't we can't escape his um, you know, he he he reaches, he reaches wherever we are, um and and it's unconditional.
- 14:43SPEAKER_00: You know, he he loves us when we're even unlovely.
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: Uh he still loves us now.
- 14:49SPEAKER_00: Um so so you know, you the it it it is absolutely normal, it is absolutely normal to to transmit um human conditional parameters as opposed to divine unconditional parameters.
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: And and and that that's what you're that's what you're describing.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: And I've I've certainly gone through the same thing.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: You know, I I have I have vision, I have, you know, I have I want to save the world and all this stuff.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: But but um but you you know you you have to finally realize that um that you have been brought to where you are hindsight's 2020.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: Would we would any of us do things differently if we could do sure we would.
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: We would all do things differently.
- 15:50SPEAKER_00: But you know, we we weren't at that time we weren't the person that we are today.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: And so you can't all you can't judge the past on 2020 hindsight.
- 16:02SPEAKER_00: That moves us into that conditional aspect as well.
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: So yeah, conditional versus unconditional, um, that that's that's what you're that's what you're seeing and what you're wrestling with.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: And it's uh it's it's good to good to recognize it.
- 16:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and and this ties into um one of the questions that we got from the listeners, because um when you're trying to reverse any kind of dis-ease, the first step is what is your perception?
- 16:32SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 16:32SPEAKER_01: It it is all perception.
- 16:33SPEAKER_01: What is your perception of dis-ease to begin with, right?
- 16:38SPEAKER_01: And and you know, you've heard me give talks on this where that was the that was the first critical step in my recovery was not identifying with an actual disease and basically seeing it for what it is, that it's just an imbalance, right?
- 16:56SPEAKER_01: And that the body knows it can, the body instinctively knows it can rebalance itself.
- 17:01SPEAKER_01: Um, and so part of this is you shifting how you think of disease, quote unquote, and that and you'll hear me say, like quote unquote disease, or I really emphasize the word because I don't use that word in my vocabulary.
- 17:15SPEAKER_01: I'm using it here so people understand what I'm talking about, because that's the mainstream word.
- 17:19SPEAKER_01: I don't use that word, I use the word imbalance.
- 17:22SPEAKER_01: And this is, I'm gonna give you an example of why it's so important.
- 17:25SPEAKER_01: This relates to a listener question about do you have any research on reversing autoimmune diseases in children?
- 17:31SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 17:32SPEAKER_01: Yes, definitely.
- 17:34SPEAKER_01: Um, I'll give you a few examples.
- 17:37SPEAKER_01: My oldest son, he had gut dysbiosis.
- 17:40SPEAKER_01: He was on the autism spectrum, he had Lyme disease, he had an inflammatory joint disease with unknown etiology and multiple food sensitivities, you know, bumps on the back of the arm, you name it.
- 17:51SPEAKER_01: All of it's been reversed.
- 17:53SPEAKER_01: Even the autism, all of it, the Lyme disease, all of it's reversed.
- 17:58SPEAKER_01: My younger son, he had gut dysbiosis, food sensitivities, cassipation since he was a baby, bumps on the arm, you meant, you know, name it reversed.
- 18:07SPEAKER_01: I worked with um a child who was um at the time eight, who was having monthly blood transfusions, right?
- 18:16SPEAKER_01: Stunted growth, monthly blood transfusions.
- 18:18SPEAKER_01: At this point, she's now six months with no blood transfusion and still doing well, right?
- 18:25SPEAKER_01: That that's an active client.
- 18:27SPEAKER_01: Um, I've worked with teenagers with psoriasis, depression, you know, you name it, all of it's reversed.
- 18:33SPEAKER_01: It's actually, in my opinion, easier to reverse a disease in a child than an adult, and for several reasons.
- 18:41SPEAKER_01: One is because young children tend to have faster cell turnover rates.
- 18:46SPEAKER_01: They can, so their their tissues can you know are healing themselves faster because the turnover rate is higher in general.
- 18:54SPEAKER_01: Um, second is when they're a child, so you as the parent have more control over the diet and the lifestyle of that child.
- 19:03SPEAKER_01: So there's a higher incidence of compliance if the parent is steadfast in the mission to help reverse the disease, right?
- 19:13SPEAKER_01: That's why it was very easy for me to reverse the diseases in my children, those imbalances, because I could control the variables of the equation.
- 19:22SPEAKER_01: The other is that children don't have all the limiting beliefs that adults have, right?
- 19:27SPEAKER_01: Children have the limiting beliefs that they've heard from their parents or, you know, caregivers, or if they're in school, from the teachers or friends or whatnot, but they don't have in general all the limiting beliefs and hangups that we have.
- 19:40SPEAKER_01: So one of our limiting beliefs is that disease is not reversible, that it's a death sentence, right?
- 19:47SPEAKER_01: Um, they don't have that belief unless they've heard you speak of it or they've heard it from somewhere else, right?
- 19:54SPEAKER_01: So perception, again, is a critical first step when you're trying to help a child to reverse disease.
- 20:02SPEAKER_01: And here's my example from my own life.
- 20:06SPEAKER_01: When I was reversing my disease, uh, well, I don't want to say that because I don't like to claim it.
- 20:13SPEAKER_01: When I was reversing the imbalance that I had, it's hard because I'm trying to keep the audience engaged with using that lingo, but I just, uh, you know, so when I was reversing the imbalances, um, and and I was on, I was going on my upswing, that's when my oldest son started plummeting and like couldn't get off the couch, you know.
- 20:32SPEAKER_01: Like, well, he could, but um, he would lay on the couch for hours.
- 20:36SPEAKER_01: And the doctors kept saying he was he was just lazy.
- 20:39SPEAKER_01: That's how kids are these days.
- 20:40SPEAKER_01: They're just lazy, you want to lay on the couch and watch TV and play video games.
- 20:44SPEAKER_01: So um that didn't help.
- 20:46SPEAKER_01: So, anyhow, he was going downhill and I had tests done, and I got on the phone with with the practitioner, and they were the practitioner was giving me the diagnosis of you know, the Lyme, the you know, things that I had already known intuitively, but it's different when someone actually gives you a quote-unquote diagnosis.
- 21:08SPEAKER_01: It was so upsetting to me that I walked into the pantry and closed the door because I was crying.
- 21:16SPEAKER_01: So I'm I'm because because I knew what it took to reverse to reverse the imbalances of myself.
- 21:21SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, now I'm gonna have to do that with my child and have them go through that.
- 21:25SPEAKER_01: And I knew that I was, I caused it, right?
- 21:31SPEAKER_01: I I was taking responsibility in that moment that like this wasn't bad genes, this wasn't bad luck, like this was choices that I made that led to this.
- 21:41SPEAKER_01: And so it was all of that emotions processing.
- 21:44SPEAKER_01: And you don't want your baby to be hurt, you know?
- 21:46SPEAKER_01: So I'm on the phone and I'm crying.
- 21:48SPEAKER_01: Um, and I'm trying to like, you know, cover myself with the apron so that like he can't hear me in the next room.
- 21:54SPEAKER_01: And I thought I did a good job.
- 21:55SPEAKER_01: Well, I come out and um I walk over to him and he's Like he was like five or six at the time.
- 22:03SPEAKER_01: And um, I before I can say anything, he looks at me and he goes, What's wrong with me?
- 22:10SPEAKER_01: And in that moment, I realized, oh my goodness, I I just shaped that.
- 22:16SPEAKER_01: Now he thinks something's wrong with him.
- 22:18SPEAKER_01: And I knew the if he thought something was wrong with him, it would it all of it would be so much harder to rebalance, right?
- 22:25SPEAKER_01: To reverse.
- 22:26SPEAKER_01: And so I stopped right then and there and I told him, There is absolutely nothing wrong with you.
- 22:33SPEAKER_01: I said, um, foods that we have eaten and different um things we've chosen to do in our lives have caused your body to be imbalanced.
- 22:45SPEAKER_01: But the body knows how to rebalance itself.
- 22:48SPEAKER_01: And so what we're gonna do is give the body what it needs so it can naturally find its balance again and you're gonna feel so much better.
- 22:58SPEAKER_01: And he was like, okay, and it was that simple.
- 23:02SPEAKER_01: Simple.
- 23:03SPEAKER_01: But you you you know, if I went in there and said, Oh, you have this and this and this and this, you know, and we gotta try to fix all this stuff, that I think we wouldn't be where we are today.
- 23:17SPEAKER_01: You know, that would have set him up for that mindset that this is a hard thing to do.
- 23:22SPEAKER_01: And, you know, um, you know, as opposed to this is just an imbalance, and all we have to do is make some different choices.
- 23:30SPEAKER_01: So that's my so yes, there's clearly you can reverse these imbalances in children.
- 23:36SPEAKER_01: I think it's actually easier in children than adults.
- 23:39SPEAKER_01: The first critical step is don't scare them, right?
- 23:42SPEAKER_01: Present it as this manageable um situation and that you're there for them and you're gonna support them, and that all the body could naturally reverse itself.
- 23:51SPEAKER_01: Um, Joel, did you want to jump in before I go to the next question?
- 23:54SPEAKER_00: I I I did because I don't think I've ever shared this with you, but you know, my uh my dad passed away at um at age 66, which you know um is very, very young.
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: And um and I I think a lot of that so he so he had um he had gone in for a physical checkup.
- 24:18SPEAKER_00: Doctor thought his prostate was a little bit enlarged.
- 24:22SPEAKER_00: They went and got a biopsy.
- 24:24SPEAKER_00: So at the time we were milking, I was um I was I don't know what 20, 26 maybe at the time, he was 61.
- 24:32SPEAKER_00: Um and I I and and he had gone to the get this um to get the readout on this biopsy, and um I was and and he was late getting back.
- 24:43SPEAKER_00: So I we we all we milked a couple Guernsey milk cows at the time.
- 24:47SPEAKER_00: So I milked mine, he milked his.
- 24:49SPEAKER_00: Well, he was late getting back, so I went ahead and got his in and milked her as well.
- 24:53SPEAKER_00: And uh, and I'm milking her, and he Cena, I'm not kidding, I'm not kidding.
- 24:59SPEAKER_00: He walked in the barn and I didn't recognize him.
- 25:04SPEAKER_00: He walked in the barn and I didn't rec I'm not gonna I'm not gonna get through this.
- 25:10SPEAKER_00: I didn't recognize him from literally in three hours with the diagnosis you have cancer, you have a malignant cancer.
- 25:22SPEAKER_00: I didn't recognize my own father.
- 25:26SPEAKER_00: And and and um now it did it didn't kill him in in a day, but he he died uh in as I look back, yeah, he lived another four years, but he died that day.
- 25:38SPEAKER_00: He mentally and emotionally, he died that day.
- 25:43SPEAKER_00: And and um that's one reason why I don't go for physicals.
- 25:48SPEAKER_00: I I don't trust myself seeing how he responded, I don't trust myself as to how I would respond.
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, I don't want to know.
- 25:56SPEAKER_00: You know, as long as I feel good and I can get around and I'm happy and and healthy, why, you know, I'm just gonna go on.
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: I haven't had a physical since I went to high school.
- 26:05SPEAKER_00: You know, I've been whatever, 60 years with no physical, 50 years.
- 26:09SPEAKER_00: Um and and and uh because that experience, um uh well, I mean, I'll just never forget it.
- 26:18SPEAKER_00: Uh you can see it's still tender uh if or after all these years, you know.
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: Um and then that's 30 35 years ago, and it's still that tender, and I can still see him walk in the barn, me look up at this man standing there.
- 26:33SPEAKER_00: And who is that?
- 26:34SPEAKER_00: Who who's a visitor?
- 26:35SPEAKER_00: Who's coming in here?
- 26:36SPEAKER_00: And I realized it was dad, you know, and uh and uh that's that's how powerful, that's how powerful this this this the the the emotional the belief system is and um and you know uh um wow uh so I I I I can't agree more with what you're saying.
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: It makes you it makes you wonder, you know, when you see the the TV ads for like children's hospital and um and and these little these little kids and and um you know to think to think that that all of that reverse is is is reversible um is well it just it it it it's not it's not acceptable.
- 27:29SPEAKER_00: It's not it's not an acceptable belief in our in our world.
- 27:32SPEAKER_00: It's it's just not acceptable.
- 27:34SPEAKER_01: It's not and there's uh powers that be that don't want you to believe it, which is it's heartbreaking to me.
- 27:43SPEAKER_01: And you you're thank you for sharing your story.
- 27:47SPEAKER_01: It resonates with me so deeply.
- 27:50SPEAKER_01: And uh you've heard me say, I mean, labels kill, right?
- 27:54SPEAKER_01: The disease labels kill, right?
- 27:56SPEAKER_01: And this is why we think, oh, doctors are uh medical doctors are so smart, they can predict the timing of when someone's gonna die, right?
- 28:05SPEAKER_01: Like you go in for cancer diagnosis, yeah, six months to live, yeah.
- 28:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and then what do you know?
- 28:10SPEAKER_01: They die in six months, right?
- 28:11SPEAKER_01: Well, that's the power of belief, right?
- 28:13SPEAKER_01: And these are documented stories.
- 28:15SPEAKER_01: Um, they're not so they're not great at predicting it.
- 28:18SPEAKER_01: And I I mean, one can go as far as to say that that's even malpractice, right?
- 28:23SPEAKER_01: Because um, you're you're doing harm when you're telling somebody you have this long to live, you are doing harm because it's it's the white coat thing, you know, you we treat them like they're gods and we believe what they say, and then bam, like that becomes your belief system.
- 28:39SPEAKER_01: And so it it it is this this kind, it's almost like this constant struggle with our culture today, with with mainstream, with society, of you know, I'm gonna say be steadfast and believe in what I believe, um and not allow that to interfere or to knock me down from my beliefs.
- 29:02SPEAKER_01: Um, I'll tell you, when my mother came to live with me um after her husband had died, and you know, we talked about my mother, she had a litany of quote-unquote diseases, these imbalances.
- 29:16SPEAKER_01: When one of them was type 2 diabetes, and she was insulin-dependent.
- 29:22SPEAKER_01: Uh, she had to take insulin with every meal and before bedtime.
- 29:26SPEAKER_01: And within six, seven months, she we got her completely off all the insulin.
- 29:31SPEAKER_01: She was no longer diabetic.
- 29:33SPEAKER_01: And I remember the first morning when she woke up, and you know, we would do this the finger prick to test her blood glucose levels.
- 29:40SPEAKER_01: Um, and we were all waiting, right?
- 29:42SPEAKER_01: We were waiting for that moment where she'd wake up and she wouldn't have to do the insulin that morning.
- 29:47SPEAKER_01: And I mean, talk about getting the kids involved.
- 29:50SPEAKER_01: We would all guess, the kids were all guessing too like what's Nana's blood sugar level going to be this morning, and you know, and starts teaching my children firsthand.
- 29:58SPEAKER_01: This is how you reverse these imbalances.
- 30:00SPEAKER_01: This is possible.
- 30:02SPEAKER_01: These this is how you read blood glucose and insulin levels and whatnot.
- 30:05SPEAKER_01: So we're all it was a guessy game, right?
- 30:07SPEAKER_01: Um, they all guessed.
- 30:09SPEAKER_01: We got the the reading, and she didn't need the insulin for the first time.
- 30:15SPEAKER_01: And I was like, the kids were cheering, celebrating, and I was crying.
- 30:20SPEAKER_01: And I was like, I knew you could do it, like, see, you can reverse these conditions.
- 30:26SPEAKER_01: And and I said to her, How does it feel?
- 30:29SPEAKER_01: And she was stoic, and she said, It's kind of scary.
- 30:35SPEAKER_01: I was shocked.
- 30:36SPEAKER_01: I'm like, what do you mean?
- 30:38SPEAKER_01: It's kind of scary, right?
- 30:40SPEAKER_01: And one is because she it was her belief.
- 30:44SPEAKER_01: The doctors told her you couldn't reverse this, right?
- 30:48SPEAKER_01: And so she's like, What kind of like witchcraft is this that all of a sudden now I don't need this medication, you know?
- 30:55SPEAKER_01: And the second one was because it was her identity, right?
- 30:59SPEAKER_01: That that she my mom was six and she was in her 20s.
- 31:02SPEAKER_01: That's all she knew.
- 31:03SPEAKER_01: And so now, if that wasn't her identity, now you have an identity crisis going on.
- 31:08SPEAKER_01: And this is one reason why, like, like people, um, I have found and I've read literature on this as well.
- 31:16SPEAKER_01: One reason why we don't reverse these diseases, these imbalances, is because they have become part of our identity and we don't know who we are without them.
- 31:24SPEAKER_01: It's that and feeling unworthy.
- 31:26SPEAKER_01: You are unworthy to be healthy again.
- 31:29SPEAKER_01: You know, if you ask most people, um, what does it mean to be sick, right?
- 31:34SPEAKER_01: What does it mean to have a quote unquote disease?
- 31:36SPEAKER_01: They can explain it to you.
- 31:38SPEAKER_01: Oh, tired, brain fog, you know, high blood sugar level, high pressure.
- 31:43SPEAKER_01: They can explain all this stuff.
- 31:44SPEAKER_01: But Joel, if you ask somebody, what does it mean to be healthy?
- 31:49SPEAKER_01: People have a harder time coming up with a definition of health.
- 31:54SPEAKER_01: What would it look like for you to be healthy?
- 31:56SPEAKER_01: For you to be optimal healthy.
- 31:58SPEAKER_01: What is your vision of optimal healthy?
- 32:01SPEAKER_01: It it doesn't roll off the tongue like a disease, right?
- 32:05SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 32:05SPEAKER_01: Like, what is it like to be a disease?
- 32:06SPEAKER_01: Because we're conditioned, right?
- 32:08SPEAKER_01: That's how we think now.
- 32:10SPEAKER_01: It's from that that that mindset of scarcity of lack, you know.
- 32:14SPEAKER_01: Um, but boy, we were gonna address the physical causes, but look what happened.
- 32:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and and you know what, you know what, uh Cena, I can't, I can't let this where this discussion has gone, uh, and it's been totally spontaneous and and and I think uh powerful, but I can't let this go on without without pointing out Bill Gates.
- 32:37SPEAKER_00: Bill Gates has has been adamant about uh flooding the press and the media with the notion that two-thirds of the population on the planet must be exterminated in order to save humanity.
- 32:57SPEAKER_00: That's the new uh you talk about talk about a an a disease, all right.
- 33:02SPEAKER_00: Um so so think about how that makes us feel toward each other if if two-thirds of us, if if if we're being assaulted in the media every day with this idea, there's too many people, we need to, we need to get rid of two-thirds of the planet's population.
- 33:22SPEAKER_00: How how does that even make us feel well why should I be the one that lives?
- 33:28SPEAKER_00: Or or you're you're stealing my resources, you know.
- 33:32SPEAKER_00: Think about think about what that does uh um you know, socially to to think that you know the other person is a is a parasite of my resources, you know.
- 33:47SPEAKER_00: Um that that that's an incredible and so so as we've looked at this, um you you just see this this kind of spiraling, dominoing of of uh whatever, you know, improper belief, improper thought that that then you know spirals into these into these uh things.
- 34:09SPEAKER_00: And and it's hard for us to document or appreciate or tally the toll of what all of these narratives um all of these narratives bombarding us with our with our informational, you know, YouTube world, uh, as we get bombarded with all these messages, you know, actually what that's doing to our psyche.
- 34:37SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 34:38SPEAKER_01: And um, I know we're about out of time on this one.
- 34:41SPEAKER_01: I like this, I only got through two of the questions.
- 34:45SPEAKER_01: But you bring up a good point.
- 34:47SPEAKER_01: So I want to close on this one.
- 34:49SPEAKER_01: Um that was part of my healing journey was learning how to better discern which information I would allow to come into my space.
- 35:03SPEAKER_01: And this was a critical component for me.
- 35:06SPEAKER_01: You know, people will tend to kind of poo-poo this one because, you know, we're looking for the physical solutions, right?
- 35:13SPEAKER_01: Which we'll get into on the on one of the next podcasts.
- 35:16SPEAKER_01: Um, but I'm spending so much time on this perception um component of reversing imbalances because this is where it starts.
- 35:26SPEAKER_01: So if I hadn't changed my perception, I would not be healed today.
- 35:30SPEAKER_01: It's just point blank.
- 35:32SPEAKER_01: We know that's true.
- 35:33SPEAKER_01: And I'll I'll share my diagnosis story on another podcast.
- 35:37SPEAKER_01: Um, but part of what I did was I stopped listening to the news.
- 35:44SPEAKER_01: You know, like during uh like about roughly a maybe a year time period where I was reversing everything.
- 35:51SPEAKER_01: I didn't allow um here, I wrote down my list so I didn't forget.
- 35:56SPEAKER_01: So I wouldn't watch the news, I wouldn't watch anything scary, like any scary movies, any drama movies, right?
- 36:05SPEAKER_01: Like there's so many drama shows.
- 36:07SPEAKER_01: Like I used to watch Gray's Anatomy, right?
- 36:09SPEAKER_01: It's just filled with drama, right?
- 36:11SPEAKER_01: There's always something wrong.
- 36:13SPEAKER_01: You know, somebody nobody's nobody's happy.
- 36:15SPEAKER_01: Like, you know, so I stopped watching all of that.
- 36:18SPEAKER_00: Oh uh no, no, no, Jody, no Jody Foster movies.
- 36:22SPEAKER_01: No, none of them.
- 36:23SPEAKER_01: Oh my goodness.
- 36:24SPEAKER_01: I mean, I even have I still have trauma from watching Jaws as a child.
- 36:29SPEAKER_01: Like that was so terrifying, you know.
- 36:32SPEAKER_01: Oh, and you know, like uh arachnophobia and the block and uh the fog, all those movies my dad had us watch.
- 36:39SPEAKER_01: It's like those are severe scars for the child.
- 36:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 36:44SPEAKER_01: But all of those things put you in fight or flight, right?
- 36:48SPEAKER_01: All fight, flight, or freeze, all of them do that.
- 36:50SPEAKER_01: And so I literally stopped all of them.
- 36:53SPEAKER_01: You know, I just I wouldn't even turn it on.
- 36:55SPEAKER_01: Uh Donnie was still watching the news, so he was up to date.
- 36:58SPEAKER_01: And if there's something really important, he would tell me about it.
- 37:02SPEAKER_01: But you know what?
- 37:02SPEAKER_01: In that year, there really wasn't anything important for like he never told me anything.
- 37:06SPEAKER_01: Anyhow, I stopped all of it and cut out the stopped listening to the negative people and all that negativity.
- 37:14SPEAKER_01: And that is what really started to change my scarcity mentality because I had that mentality too, where you know, I wake up and oh, I hurt, oh, I don't feel good.
- 37:26SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh, I didn't sleep enough.
- 37:28SPEAKER_01: Like, why is this happening?
- 37:29SPEAKER_01: Like, you know, I had I lived my life in scarcity, which means I lived it in fear.
- 37:35SPEAKER_01: And so to stop that, I had to change the messages that I was receiving.
- 37:40SPEAKER_01: And so I finally took control and I turned all that off.
- 37:44SPEAKER_01: And instead, I started listening to upbeat happy music, and I started um really diving into um online health summits of how to how to actually heal yourself, you know, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, and surrounded myself with good, happy people, you know.
- 38:00SPEAKER_01: We started watching comedies, like things like we replaced them, you know.
- 38:04SPEAKER_01: So it's just so that's another um just one component of rebalancing, and not only to rebalance so you don't you're not sick, but just to find joy again in life, right?
- 38:18SPEAKER_01: To change that perspective so you're not operating out of scarcity, you're offering you're operating out of abundance, and from that comes joy and gratitude.
- 38:28SPEAKER_01: And from that state of gratitude is where healing actually happens.
- 38:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 38:33SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's great.
- 38:34SPEAKER_00: That's a great closer, Cena.
- 38:36SPEAKER_00: Um, thank you for for that.
- 38:38SPEAKER_00: And uh, yeah, we will need to move right along with a with a fit with with the physical one.
- 38:43SPEAKER_00: Maybe we should just do that next anyway, just while we're on this roll, so we don't so we don't go back and get back into this rabbit hole of the of the emotional, uh, which we tend to tend to gravitate to because because it is the foundation and it it's where you start.
- 38:58SPEAKER_00: So thanks for sharing, and thank you all for being with us on another Beyond Labels podcast.
- 39:03SPEAKER_00: We continue to send us your questions and ping this to your friends if you think it's helpful, and we'll look forward to visiting with you next time on Beyond Labels.
