Jesus came for the purpose of mankind's freedom and deliverance from the powers of evil. He came for the purpose of destroying the works of the devil, and setting men free from his evil grip. Today's Morning Devotion, by making reference to the great deliverance God effected for the children of Israel in taking them out of Egyptian captivity and slavery, makes it clear that God is still setting men free from bondages today, and that as many as believe in Him, draw closer to Him, and desire freedom from Him, will always receive their freedom.
