- 0:09Speaker 1: for for dogging four to seven every weekday on radio
- 0:14Speaker 1: heardrackare Yeah.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Hey fellers, we've got this big bloody spotlights on us.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Have they not normally on? No?
- 0:21Speaker 3: Oh oh they must have filmed a video or something.
- 0:23Speaker 3: They must have Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, good day, mogus.
- 0:26Speaker 2: A really good day. Thanks for asking, keazy Man. I
- 0:29Speaker 2: appreciate giving. I had a really good day. And what's
- 0:33Speaker 2: happening now is because I've got a little business that
- 0:35Speaker 2: I run there. But I've got a great team and
- 0:37Speaker 2: now I'm not doing one million hours a week.
- 0:40Speaker 3: That's good.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Do you reckon?
- 0:41Speaker 3: That came about after you went to Europe? You know
- 0:43Speaker 3: what I mean? You got everything to a certain place,
- 0:46Speaker 3: you then went obey and then you realize.
- 0:47Speaker 2: It was before that as well. It was before that
- 0:50Speaker 2: as well. We've we we most of this year has
- 0:53Speaker 2: been spent demo in all this ship that had to
- 0:55Speaker 2: be done, and we're finally on the other side of it.
- 0:57Speaker 1: God.
- 0:57Speaker 2: It makes a difference, right, and now I can get
- 0:59Speaker 2: shipped down every day. So today I had a man
- 1:02Speaker 2: around Jason yes, which was nice. It's nice to have
- 1:06Speaker 2: a man about the house.
- 1:11Speaker 3: What could you possibly be about to you don't like
- 1:13Speaker 3: a man about the house.
- 1:14Speaker 2: It's deep thought because I, well, you know, I had
- 1:18Speaker 2: so many jobs he could do well. I was just
- 1:20Speaker 2: adding on.
- 1:21Speaker 4: There is that sort of stuff, which is great, but
- 1:24Speaker 4: there's also something emasculating about.
- 1:26Speaker 2: It, you know. But the vibe that I took into it,
- 1:28Speaker 2: and I don't know whether we'll get into this, was
- 1:30Speaker 2: I could very much do this by myself. I just
- 1:33Speaker 2: don't have the time. So that's how I sort of
- 1:35Speaker 2: sold it till him. Okay, Yeah, that made me feel
- 1:38Speaker 2: better about it, especially because sort of the first thing
- 1:40Speaker 2: he did was like, I was like, oh, I don't
- 1:42Speaker 2: know how this is going to go today if that's
- 1:44Speaker 2: the standard we're operating that. So I had to get
- 1:46Speaker 2: straight in there and just make a couple of suggestions.
- 1:48Speaker 2: And that made me feel better about myself. Okay, I
- 1:50Speaker 2: did that on perfect. Everything else he did was great.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Was the first thing was the cabinet thing.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Well, the first thing was the cabinet thing. So he
- 1:58Speaker 2: we have these two shelving units which have got you know,
- 2:01Speaker 2: normally you'd see them and there be books on a
- 2:03Speaker 2: multi layered shelving unit. Not right, A plant here and
- 2:09Speaker 2: some books here and some family photos. Yes, so I
- 2:13Speaker 2: got those two things. And previously we would have the
- 2:17Speaker 2: TV on the wall, but now we don't have room
- 2:19Speaker 2: for it because we're in this new house, so we've
- 2:20Speaker 2: put it in the center of these two shelves. So
- 2:22Speaker 2: it sort of sits fifty to fifty on across these
- 2:25Speaker 2: two shelves, which means there's two metal poles running directly
- 2:28Speaker 2: down the center of the screen, which is not good.
- 2:30Speaker 2: So he came in to cut those out right. So,
- 2:34Speaker 2: but that meant that it needed reinforcing and screwing to
- 2:36Speaker 2: the wall. So I said, if you could screw into
- 2:38Speaker 2: the walls on the top so we can't see them.
- 2:42Speaker 2: So he did that, but he did it high enough
- 2:44Speaker 2: that I can still see them, and he did them
- 2:46Speaker 2: so that they're not directly in line with each other,
- 2:49Speaker 2: they're slightly on the piss and straight away that fucked
- 2:52Speaker 2: me off. Well, I can fuck it up. Yeah, you
- 2:57Speaker 2: fuck it up. I don't need you, so that really
- 2:59Speaker 2: that was okay. So then I thought I'd better get
- 3:01Speaker 2: involved in this now. Of course he didn't need me to. Yeah, yeah,
- 3:04Speaker 2: but that was like ship because I've asked him to
- 3:07Speaker 2: do all this stuff. Now, yes, maybe he's going to
- 3:09Speaker 2: bager it up, but they didn't. He nailed the rest
- 3:11Speaker 2: of it. Pretty unique request to be honest, Yes, however
- 3:15Speaker 2: a true and that was all he had to do.
- 3:17Speaker 2: The thing about was just a screwing to the wall.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Everything else he nailed just he just in the end
- 3:22Speaker 2: used a grinder, which sounded like it was a debarcle.
- 3:26Speaker 2: But fortunately I wasn't in the house at the time.
- 3:27Speaker 2: I loved to himself all day, so he was like
- 3:34Speaker 2: you and me, jays. Yes it was skilled.
- 3:39Speaker 4: And you know, but the reality is if I get
- 3:41Speaker 4: people over to my house to do stuff and stuff
- 3:43Speaker 4: I can't do.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Yeah, and I know that.
- 3:46Speaker 4: And funnily enough, this very morning, my wife and I
- 3:50Speaker 4: were lying in bed and I was talking about how
- 3:53Speaker 4: much I admire people that are able to you know,
- 3:56Speaker 4: I said to how good would it be if you're
- 3:59Speaker 4: a builder, a really good builder, and you like a
- 4:02Speaker 4: house like mine, for example, you would fill your boots
- 4:05Speaker 4: and you would just make it. You would just make
- 4:09Speaker 4: it look amazing because you have those skills. And I
- 4:12Speaker 4: just have absolute admiration for people that are really good
- 4:15Speaker 4: at fixing stuff and it makes me feel And then
- 4:19Speaker 4: my wife was like, yeah, but you've got other skills.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Well you do, That's true, you do. It's just like God,
- 4:24Speaker 2: I wish I was a bit more practicing, and other people,
- 4:27Speaker 2: you know, they envy those skills. But of course you're
- 4:29Speaker 2: even happy with yourself, you would always far rather be
- 4:32Speaker 2: somebody else, have other people's skills.
- 4:34Speaker 4: And it's also that thing of like having an interest
- 4:38Speaker 4: in it. Like my wife often says, I wish I
- 4:41Speaker 4: was into gardening, but I just bores the shit out
- 4:44Speaker 4: with me, so of course, and you know, if you're
- 4:47Speaker 4: not interested.
- 4:48Speaker 2: In it, then you're not going to learn. She's interested
- 4:50Speaker 2: in helping people, which is a higher value. I wish
- 4:53Speaker 2: I had that, but I don't. I just don't give ah.
- 4:55Speaker 5: Yes exactly, Shirt four on Radio Hurarkymember The Wary Big
- 5:05Speaker 5: Show Podcast.
- 5:06Speaker 3: What you need is a personality trait like what I have,
- 5:08Speaker 3: where you want to fix it, like you, I welcome something,
- 5:12Speaker 3: not welcome stuff to break, but I welcome a challenge
- 5:15Speaker 3: that I.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Can opportunity to learn.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Yeah, for some reason, I and my dad's the same.
- 5:19Speaker 3: We've talked about it. You just like you'd love the
- 5:20Speaker 3: chance to sit back here. Yes, how am I going
- 5:22Speaker 3: to solve this problem?
- 5:24Speaker 2: A problem that I've got with that is that the
- 5:26Speaker 2: only real things that come up with stuff around the house.
- 5:29Speaker 2: So the other thing was I added on putting pictures
- 5:32Speaker 2: up on the wall because I've got all these pictures
- 5:34Speaker 2: to go up on the wall. So currently, because we've
- 5:35Speaker 2: just moved down, they're all just leaning up against the
- 5:37Speaker 2: wall all over the house. So that's been for two weeks.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Don't you guys take ages discussing where they should go.
- 5:43Speaker 2: I stay out of it. Yeah right, okay, I stay
- 5:45Speaker 2: out of it. No one cares about my opinion. Man,
- 5:47Speaker 2: you recognize that over the years, So I'd rather just
- 5:50Speaker 2: not get involved. So I said, oh, I will do
- 5:52Speaker 2: the pictures, and the miss is there she goes, oh no, no,
- 5:55Speaker 2: I'll put those up, and so I was like, oh yeah, okay,
- 5:58Speaker 2: then sweet airs. So that was our discussion last night,
- 6:01Speaker 2: and so today I hadn't put them up because I've
- 6:04Speaker 2: got no doubt you will put them up. My question
- 6:06Speaker 2: is when will they be put up? Correct? I don't.
- 6:10Speaker 2: I don't hate ship line around the house for ever.
- 6:12Speaker 2: So they're up now, and then we can go from
- 6:15Speaker 2: there we can go from the bean up to moving
- 6:17Speaker 2: around up, but not on the floor for a month.
- 6:21Speaker 4: Yes, so I'm happy with that. I, you know, definitely
- 6:24Speaker 4: wish I did have that trait kesy where I like
- 6:26Speaker 4: to fix stuff. I just don't.
- 6:29Speaker 3: It'sn't as complicated as people think.
- 6:31Speaker 2: I'm sure. I'm sure with the pictures on the wall,
- 6:35Speaker 2: I would have put eight billion holes in the wall
- 6:38Speaker 2: doing what this guy did today, like putting ten pictures
- 6:41Speaker 2: on the one wall and sort of spacing them all
- 6:44Speaker 2: out the same going to hang because the tension on
- 6:47Speaker 2: the wire, I would have I would have spent all
- 6:52Speaker 2: day doing that holes everywhere, and it still would have
- 6:55Speaker 2: looked like ship. Yeah.
- 6:56Speaker 3: That's that's where things get tricky, like real precison.
- 6:58Speaker 4: One thing I will say, and it's only a small thing,
- 7:01Speaker 4: is that I've got better at that kind of thing.
- 7:04Speaker 4: And the key, as I banged on about for me
- 7:07Speaker 4: is preparation and going, Okay, well, if I'm going to
- 7:10Speaker 4: do this, make sure you do it properly. Because before
- 7:14Speaker 4: I just jump into something and make an absolute mess
- 7:19Speaker 4: of it and then go oh fuck that shit and
- 7:21Speaker 4: then leave it.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Nowadays, now more than ever, you have greater access to
- 7:26Speaker 3: videos on how to do Yeah, so like if you
- 7:28Speaker 3: just watch it or like inhabit, whether you're an article
- 7:31Speaker 3: on how stuff work like really like not obviously just
- 7:34Speaker 3: for basic stuff, specialized stuff you definitely need a qualified person,
- 7:37Speaker 3: but most stuff you can fix this out.
- 7:38Speaker 4: Well, you know, I'll give you a classic case in point,
- 7:41Speaker 4: a hole in the wall and the.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Jet.
- 7:47Speaker 4: Yeah, so you got a hole there, and a little
- 7:50Speaker 4: while back I would have and I did, in fact,
- 7:52Speaker 4: go how the hell do you fix that? How do
- 7:55Speaker 4: you fix that? Because there's no back to it. Yes,
- 7:58Speaker 4: now I know how to do that, you know what
- 8:00Speaker 4: I mean? And it's not that complicated. And it was,
- 8:02Speaker 4: and it was purely through looking at it on YouTube
- 8:05Speaker 4: and going fixing a.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Hole in the wall and shave it's amazing. Okay, is
- 8:10Speaker 2: away this weekend. She gave me one job to do. Yes,
- 8:14Speaker 2: put the trampoline back together. So we've got a springless trampoline,
- 8:18Speaker 2: so I had to take and of course they've got
- 8:20Speaker 2: walls on them these days, so the kids can't fall
- 8:22Speaker 2: off and kill themselves. It would just bullshit. Legs say,
- 8:26Speaker 2: have to take the legs off them so that the
- 8:28Speaker 2: rest of it could fit down the side. Of the house,
- 8:30Speaker 2: absolutely bull like it was to get over there. So
- 8:32Speaker 2: she said, yeah, if you could do that and anyway,
- 8:36Speaker 2: So I went down and sort of started fiddling around
- 8:39Speaker 2: with it today while old mate was upstairs being a
- 8:42Speaker 2: man in the house. I thought, I'll just start knocking
- 8:44Speaker 2: this about. Get this done. Absolutely no chance whatsoever. Look there,
- 8:50Speaker 2: looked it up on looked it up on a video.
- 8:53Speaker 2: You have to get strops. So you got these sort
- 8:57Speaker 2: of U shaped stainless steel legs, yes, with another leg
- 9:02Speaker 2: that's in the middle, and you have to get strops
- 9:05Speaker 2: that go right the way around the legs so that
- 9:07Speaker 2: and they have they can handle a thousand kilos of
- 9:10Speaker 2: pressure so that you can bow them back because they're
- 9:14Speaker 2: held under tension. The legs they held undertention, so when
- 9:16Speaker 2: they're in it's fine.
- 9:18Speaker 3: So dangerous, dude.
- 9:19Speaker 2: And so I had to look at this video. He's
- 9:21Speaker 2: got all six legs with these strops around them, and
- 9:25Speaker 2: has got the the the trampoline itself floating above the
- 9:29Speaker 2: top of it, and is trying to lower the whole
- 9:31Speaker 2: thing onto these six different sets of legs at the
- 9:34Speaker 2: same time. And you were sitting there and I called
- 9:36Speaker 2: them assus, we're going to have to get a man.
- 9:39Speaker 1: You're sitting there.
- 9:40Speaker 3: With like a hammer, your phone and a hard head
- 9:43Speaker 3: on backwards and oh fuck that that.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Is insane, unbelievable. How was that the setup?
- 9:52Speaker 3: So when you got the Champolaine, obviously someone came and it.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Was already there. We bought it with the house when
- 9:56Speaker 2: we moved into it. He bought the trampoline, not the house.
- 9:58Speaker 4: I remember, because we had a trampoline for the kids
- 10:01Speaker 4: as well. What a fucking ball.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Ache it was.
- 10:03Speaker 3: Would have been a square rusty.
- 10:04Speaker 4: One been getting the springs on and ship it was
- 10:08Speaker 4: a nightmare.
- 10:09Speaker 2: So anyway, got us pay some bastard for that, and then.
- 10:11Speaker 4: They just turned to rust and fall apart and tumbleweed.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Yeah, well they.
- 10:16Speaker 4: Bounce on it a couple of times and then they
- 10:18Speaker 4: get disinterested.
- 10:19Speaker 3: Yes, do you try putting a sprinkler underneath it in summer?
- 10:23Speaker 2: Love it so much fun? Hey?
- 10:26Speaker 3: Listen to Radio Hdarky Furtal seven weekdays fortal seven weekdays,
