Transcript
- 0:00I can't wait any longer to speak to this man. You might know him
- 0:04from the afternoon show here on kl TA Big ninety at point seven FM.
- 0:09His name is James Tyler. Good morning James, Good morning, Pike,
- 0:12Good morning Side. I'm non contributor to the Pike and Amandage. I've contributed
- 0:17usually in the summer, say Monday through Wednesday. I usually trying to pop
- 0:22back on Thursdays. Yeah, James had a very exciting thing happened in ideal
- 0:28life, and so we wanted to give you the main stage, you know
- 0:32here here on the station. That's the life update from James, the main
- 0:37stage. Now the music here a little patcha Bell's cannon and D minor is
- 0:41not playing by happen stance, James, why don't you tell us what's going
- 0:45on? You know the name of that song. Also just used a lot
- 0:48of big words for me, and I think everybody needs a second to catch
- 0:52up. So James has some big news pirates and penn Zan's and DNS cannon
- 0:57in d mind. It's the song that you know from you know, wedding
- 1:00ceremonies and bailer alert. I used to bang that song in high school.
- 1:06Just like for fun, like on my iPod. Yeah, my brother.
- 1:10Yeah, we just my brother and I'd be driving to school. Okay,
- 1:14enough, I swear of got the floor is yours? If we had the
- 1:18Golden Valentine last week, we were all in love, having a good time.
- 1:21We went over to Whyos. We were having a great day, and
- 1:23you decided you weren't going to join us, and we didn't know why.
- 1:27It's because I had to get engaged. Amanda. Oh well, but the
- 1:34story is wild, it's incredible. So you're enjoying your Valentine. Now,
- 1:38well let's go back. So the woman you're dating, yes, now,
- 1:42he ate an amazing woman that I have been dating for some time. Jesse
- 1:46Chassis got engaged. Wait that girl from the television show in Tone. Yep,
- 1:51she works at KVOY. Yep, she was on yesterday or Dakota today.
- 1:56Yes, that's right. Yeah, I mean media moguls. They've been
- 1:57calling us for trying to not take it personal or anything, but you let
- 2:04them break the news. We're also an amazing media company. We could have
- 2:07broke the news yesterday. Yeah, what the heck? I mean look at
- 2:09us day day late dollar short. Golly, that's the same with all that
- 2:15Travis Kelcey news you got was a little late at it. I mean,
- 2:19go big or go home. We do say that. James. So you
- 2:22and the Jesse the TV person, you guys went out for Valentine's Day and
- 2:25I thought it was cool. You were volunteering right with CCR. I yeah,
- 2:29early this year we had kind of decided that we were sick of the
- 2:32traditional holiday stuff, so we started talking about what can we do, and
- 2:37volunteering became the idea. So the ideas we're going to volunteer on holidays.
- 2:40I think that's awesome. Love it and we love CCRI. They did a
- 2:44fun little BA and you guys did that, went there hosted bingo. We
- 2:47decided it would be fun to dress up and fun for you know, the
- 2:50clients and everybody to see it. And they were it was really funny there.
- 2:53Well look we're a dressed up. They were really they were rasing us.
- 2:54It was pretty cool. She was wearing like a beautiful pink gown.
- 2:58You kind of talk on so so different dressed up, you leave the event
- 3:02and you decide what we always anytime we dress up together, we always go
- 3:06out because it's fun. Right to waste the outfit right. So then we
- 3:10weren't quite ready to go home. We were driving around and uh, we're
- 3:14on thirteenth. The dairy Queen appeared, and I love ice cream, so
- 3:16I was like, well, I gotta get a blizzard. So pulled into
- 3:19the drive room and Jesse and I were talking and she's like, you know,
- 3:23I used to work at the dairy Queen. I wonder if they'd let
- 3:24me make a blizzard. I was like, let's find out. Back down
- 3:29to the drive through. We went inside and I hope I don't get the
- 3:31gall in trouble, but she deserves a raise. And we just struck up
- 3:35a conversation with her and I just said, well, you know, she
- 3:38used to work at the dairy queen. Do you do you do you think
- 3:39she could make me my blizzard? She was like sure, So Jesse went
- 3:44me up a blizzard behind the counter the dairy queen on thirteen. That's incredible
- 3:46that she let you do that. Lady work AND's like, yeah, I'll
- 3:49go smoke a cigarette, have that to do the dishes. Well here,
- 3:52Pi, she was twelve, come on, Oh of course, terry queen.
- 3:55So then made the blizzard, eating the blizzard in the car were driving
- 3:59and some we are driving by the wind break. We still don't want the
- 4:01night to end. And that was the place that was there to have a
- 4:03drink. That's where you go if you don't want the night to end,
- 4:06right the wind break, Windy. Yeah, I love this so much,
- 4:10right there by the Flying Jay. You know where it is. Oh no,
- 4:13I'm very well aware. Haven't been in a whole lot of It is
- 4:15one of the better truck stop bars, way better than that one in Grand
- 4:18four. Yeah, that's for damn sure. Okay, So we go in
- 4:21there, grab a drink. There's three people in there. Oh. I
- 4:24was going to say, was it ladies night? We were looking? We
- 4:27were like, because we like to dance. It was Wednesday though, but
- 4:30it was Valentine's Day that I'm saying, Oh God. The goal was to
- 4:34find someone somewhere to dance. That didn't work. We ended up the wind
- 4:40break. Three people were there and they recognized this immediately, which was hilarious.
- 4:44One Gal James I was like, yep, that's me Jesse from KB
- 4:51so struck up a beautiful conversation with them. One of our songs came on,
- 4:55which was Irish Head Ready to Go you did not How did you know?
- 5:01I didn't even know you're going to say that. I was just gonna
- 5:03play it. You just always that song is always ready. Yeah. Okay.
- 5:06So so then we're just dancing to you two on the dance floor.
- 5:10We're just dancing by the bar, and the bartender sees us dancing and he's
- 5:13like, because at that point the dance floor was dark because there's nobody there,
- 5:16he lights up the dance floor just for us. So then we're like,
- 5:19well, we have to dance on the dance floor. So we do
- 5:20that, and then after like four to eight songs. Wait, so it's
- 5:27just YouTube, just gazing into each other's eyes. Four to eight songs,
- 5:30it's super Yeah. Well I feel like you're just at home in your living
- 5:33room. But at the wind it's like just slow dance, hands on your
- 5:38hips, junior high dance kind of thing, or you guys swing it.
- 5:40There's this one. No, we we did slow dance the entire time,
- 5:43but at one point Finger eleven paralyzer came on, but we still kept slow
- 5:46dancing. Somehow. One of the least romantic songs. I've never heard of
- 5:49it. It scares me a little. You've heard it. You've heard it.
- 5:51Oh you know, God it sucks anyway, it's mister wright Side came
- 5:59on Ruined. You're slow dancing to mister Brightside. The reason we know this
- 6:03is not because I heard all the songs. This is paralyzer. I'm trying
- 6:08to like slow dance right now to this. I don't need to slow dance,
- 6:12okay, fingers. At what point did you were you like, Okay,
- 6:15I'm ready to do this, because of course you probably had a ring
- 6:16in your pocket, and you're thinking I didn't propose completely unprepared. I did
- 6:20not have a ring. I didn't have anything. Jesse actually like went down
- 6:25on her knees first and the post and you're thinking, I thought she was
- 6:30like falling, So I'm like kind of followed her down and was like holding
- 6:33her and I was like, oh, this is the thing. And then
- 6:35she said I want to marry you, and I said, will you marry
- 6:38me? What? Okay? So first I got a second. So she
- 6:41went first. She went down on her knees in that pretty little dress to
- 6:45propose to you. But then you said nuh uh, like I'm going to
- 6:47marry you. It was just like the hearts melted at one time, it
- 6:51was like Monica and Chandler and friends. It was it was absolutely diss me,
- 6:56Oh my gosh. And meanwhile, Finger eleven's just rocking. I don't
- 7:00know what song was on at that time. She had when we started dancing,
- 7:02she had set her phone up. That's why I knew that all the
- 7:04songs, because I couldn't really hear him. To be honest with you,
- 7:06as cheesy as that sounds, well, because you were gazed into locked in.
- 7:11This is refreshing because so many times proposals are just so like prepared and
- 7:15everyone knows it's coming, and this is like the exact opposite. Had you
- 7:17just compelled to propose. That's so cool. So you both were in agreeance
- 7:23and it was just something you had discussed in much length beforehand. Really,
- 7:27that's why I never said those words to each other before, Like there were
- 7:30there was certain not where they weren't off limits. But we had this like
- 7:32bit going where we wouldn't say married or anything like that. You clearly said
- 7:38you loved each other. Yes, got it, definitely, Oh my gosh.
- 7:41Okay, so now we're engaged, we're we're we didn't planning, so
- 7:45now we had to now then we had to announce it to everyone. So
- 7:46it happened to be visiting my family on Friday, so I announced it to
- 7:50the entire fam. Was pretty much everybody that I care about, I should
- 7:55say almost. There's a couple of people that weren't there. Sure, and
- 7:59that was super exciting in Airbnb in soccer Rapids, Minnesota, lovely sock Rappids.
- 8:05Now your mom who we fell in love with at the Shanaia Twain concert.
- 8:07She when you told her. I loved her response. It was very
- 8:09adorable. I have the recordings. Could we play it? Here's James's mom
- 8:13finding out what you need to have some let me see the ring. Oh
- 8:31she's all mad because she found out days later. It took two days until
- 8:35Mom, Hey mom, we know how you feel. That's a good No.
- 8:37I'm so happy for you guys. I'm very happy. To put me
- 8:41down as happy, I am very happy as well, super excited. So
- 8:45what's the what's the next steps? Are we already planning dates and venues and
- 8:48DJ have you? But to DJ, we actually still have our balloon arge
- 8:52up from the Golden Valentine MC snag that throw it in the truck. Okay,
- 8:56yeah, you know we were thinking live band. Really, I'm an
- 9:01advocate of that as well. Are you so not to make it up on
- 9:03me? But do you play Iris? Does ls play? Has played Irish
- 9:09didn't go very well at the Pickled parent, but I mean willing to revive
- 9:11you wouldn't the parrot? Well? Yeah, going on, I mean,
- 9:15judging by the way that the engagement happened, some point, I'll probably just
- 9:18walk in here and be like, yeah, we got married yesterday. Is
- 9:20that you don't want to plan a big, big thing? We don't know
- 9:22yet. We're just kind of basking in the fun. It feels like they're
- 9:26kind of a wing it couple and I like it. Good for you it
- 9:30winging it, danging it, getting engaged to love it. James James Tyler
- 9:35engaged. There's gonna be a Missus Tyler soon. I can't Well, you
- 9:41take your name or will you take hers? Or I might take her?
- 9:43Do a hyphenated situation. Maybe we'll do that thing where you take both names
- 9:48and you combine them together and make a new one. What would it be?
- 9:50Jess? Jess and Jake. Are you trying to come up with their
- 9:54like celebrity power couple names? Yeah? Jams. No, that doesn't James,
- 9:58a man. His brain is just an oppress right now. Really love
- 10:03to see it's that meme where it's the lady staring off and it's all the
- 10:05math problems. James, whatever would it be? I will say, I
- 10:13don't think there is there is it? How do you do? How do
- 10:15you put those two names? Do you see when my brain was in a
- 10:18frontzel. Oh? I love us, I love our love for each other
- 10:24and for you guys. It's so good. Okay, grand James, thanks
- 10:28for sharing your tail on piking Amanda, and you got it. Amanda did
- 10:31say she was gonna throws a party. I'm gonna hold her that, so
- 10:33I hope you come Pike. Yeah, I am an engagement party. I
- 10:37wouldn't expect to be invited if you don't get married before. I have a
- 10:39chanswer. Well, it'll be a marriage party, man, Amanda in the
- 10:43morning, let's see it piping hot today? No, Amanda stills, let's
- 10:48see let's see brought to buy JDP Electra Well. Travis CAUSI knows that the
- 10:54world is obsessed with his relationship with Taylor Swift. He said, I'm very
- 10:58well aware it's obvious set mainly because Taylor's in my life. That's why there's
- 11:03so much attention. He also said that she wherever she goes kind of brings
- 11:07her entire entourage of human beings that just love to support her and support everything
- 11:11she does, which is why there was so much love and attention with the
- 11:15NFL. Who knows if it'll be like that next year. Maybe it'll be
- 11:18one of those like, oh, she's just there, but I don't know,
- 11:20it's hard to say with those fans. Yeah, you just never know.
- 11:24I mean, he's stating the obvious, but at least he's aware,
- 11:26so then nobody can and nobody can be like, oh, you know he
- 11:28thinks that he's the famous one. Yeah, Adien, and he also I
- 11:31mean it was a long interview, but he also talked about the fact that
- 11:33he does not ever want it to affect his the game of football in the
- 11:37locker room and Patrick mahomes a lot of people like he honestly has not changed
- 11:43one bit since it's happened. If they start letting her in the locker room,
- 11:46yeah, he is wearing his hat. Did you see that? When
- 11:48she was leaving in Australia yesterday, she was rocking his Super Bowl hat.
- 11:52I'm like, that is adorable. It's like when you get in a new
- 11:54relationship and you're like wearing your boyfriend sweatshirt or something. Yeah, I used
- 11:58to wear my wife's pant. Did you you guys share a couple of clothes
- 12:03though, Like, don't you guys have matching Forgo four shirts? We do.
- 12:07We both got a pretty far up four shirt from a game we went
- 12:11to this year. The first hundred fans got white shirts. He's the whitest
- 12:16shirt you ever saw. Yeah, I know, I saw you guys.
- 12:20I'm wearing natteen shirts and I'm like that is adorable. Yeah, sometimes will
- 12:22accidentally wear the others, but it's all good, all right. Jason and
- 12:28Travis also, of course, do their podcast, and I honestly feel bad
- 12:31for celebrities and situations like this. You're damned if you do. You're damned
- 12:35if you don't. People are gonna watch everything you're doing. If you're giving
- 12:37fifty thousand dollars to a family who's lost something or somebody, or if there
- 12:43was a tragedy, that's not enough. Should have been a hundred exactly.
- 12:46I just feel bad for him. But they did talk about it in their
- 12:48podcast. We just want to say, you know, our hearts go out
- 12:50to all of the victims, their families, Chiefs Kingdom and really all the
- 12:56Kansas City that was really there on a day to try and celebrate the community
- 13:01and it's unfortunate and deeply tragic the events that occurred. We'll share a link
- 13:07to donate to the Chief's Emergency Response Fund in our bio. Your donation goes
- 13:11to supporting victims and their families, violence prevention and mental health services, and
- 13:16the first responders. All. We appreciate them doing that absolutely. And justin
- 13:22Timberlake, he's rolling out new music on Friday. He gave us a little
- 13:26tease he's really getting into it. He's sitting at a piano on his latest
- 13:30Instagram post singing his new song called Drown. Take a listen, It's about
- 13:35to break, show me exactly. Let me really getting into it too.
- 13:46Yeah. Wait that false setto what a voice? You think it's a hit.
- 13:52Yeah? It kind of has a crimier river vibe a little a little
- 13:56bit. That's my false so right, yeah, Well, I don't know,
- 14:03man, you're a lady. You're always taking false settle, am.
- 14:05I No, I don't know it was an aldo when I was in choire
- 14:09and yeah, I was just inchoir. I never I didn't have a solo
- 14:16or anything. I joined the choir just to go on the trip. Oh
- 14:18yeah, we did go on a trip. Would you go Chicago? Uh?
- 14:22Disney No, Disneyland. We had to California? Yeah, are you
- 14:26kidding? Oh? It was the best man. We got to go,
- 14:28and we got to They brought you back and I was at the band and
- 14:31the choir double duty, and they let you perform a song from a Disney
- 14:37movie and then they took the recording and put it over the soundtrack of the
- 14:41movie and you got to watch the scene. I think we did Lion King
- 14:43what. Yeah, it was crazy. Okay, that is incredible. Yeah,
- 14:48we went to Chicago, went to the Navy peer boring and I don't
- 14:52even remember singing, though I bet we did. I'm sure there was some
- 14:56singing involved there. I take you as the one that was just there to
- 14:58kind of horse around. Take in a minute in the morning. Seven.
- 15:03You know how much work you do in a day, and I'm not talking
- 15:07about your job job, but when you're done with the work that at the
- 15:09job, Yeah, it doesn't end, how much work there is that you're
- 15:11not getting paid for. But they did a little study to determine how much
- 15:16money you should be getting paid for the work you do that's not your work,
- 15:20you know what I'm saying. Yeah, all right, so if you
- 15:22but you're putting down you had to guess how much money is your average day
- 15:26worth. I guess I'm one of those people I don't like to say,
- 15:28like my kids are your joork and you know, meals for It's like,
- 15:33these are just things you do because guess what I wear an amazing cape that
- 15:37is called I'm a mo mom or a title I'm a mom. Know what
- 15:39you said? Almost said I had a mom cape, which is a mom
- 15:45my mom mom. You know, I just don't. I don't like saying
- 15:48that because it feels icky. But there's a lot of tasks involved in that
- 15:52because it's a never ending job. Yeah, it's it's crazy to think about
- 15:56because I have none of those tasks, you know, And I still find
- 16:00myself saying, geez, I got a lot of things to do, you
- 16:02know. But that's why I never I tried to never complain to people with
- 16:04kids because you got those same things. And then a bunch of other stuff.
- 16:10Oh right, do you remember when you didn't have kids feeling that way,
- 16:14like feeling like you were really busy and they now thinking back, going
- 16:17what was I doing? I remember being you going, there is no way
- 16:21I could possibly wake up at three thirty in the morning, have kids function,
- 16:26keep them alive, go through, do manage like that seems nearly impossible
- 16:30to me. But what ended up happening is I don't do a lot of
- 16:33the night stuff that I used to you just that's the time that you have
- 16:36with your kids. It's actually way more enjoyable. Yeah it is, Isn't
- 16:40it exhausting? I guess everybody has. It's exhausting because you see yesterday,
- 16:45for example, you didn't sleep last night, Pike, because did you nap
- 16:48yesterday? Yeah, I took a nap. I did sleep all the night
- 16:52before. It's a vicious psych Yeah, but you would be exhausted. You'd
- 16:55be so exhausted during the day because you're up like you're just powering through because
- 16:57you've got all these tasks to do. You're doing the stuff with the kids,
- 17:00having a great time, and then you're gonna crash. Well, there's
- 17:03no chill with kids especially your kids ages three five or whatever. For you
- 17:08almost five, it's all good, but it's like there's no like what you
- 17:11wanted to. Hey, guys, can we just sit on the couch like
- 17:14I'll put on a show? You like, can we just chill for a
- 17:15bit? There's none of that. Nope, they like running around. Well
- 17:19anyway, man, your day, on average is worth one hundred and thirty
- 17:23four dollars according to Americans. That's like a it's like filling up with gas.
- 17:30That's nice. Well that tangy yours. Yeah, my husband and I
- 17:33had a conversation the other day. It feels like it's like one hundred dollars.
- 17:36Here, one hundred dollars. Somebody asked you to do something, is
- 17:37like, well, there goes one hundred dollars. Or if you walk in
- 17:41you do It's everything is so expensive it's insane to me. Yeah, anytime
- 17:45you leave the house, it's a hundred bucks. You might as well assume
- 17:48it's a hundred bucks going out the door. What I know, there's no
- 17:52And you might have the intentions of like, oh, we'll try to we
- 17:55we'll go out, but we'll do it cheap. Yeah, there's won't drink
- 17:57Okay, you're still eating whatever it is. You add the tip and it
- 18:02adds up. You're right, Amanda. It's too bad you're not getting compensated
- 18:04for your time with your kids. Amanda in the morning on sage. Do
- 18:10you strive to be influential in your life? Of course I want to be
- 18:12able to be a good mom and influence my kids and have the things you
- 18:17say be meaningful to bet you at the office. Right, Well, here's
- 18:21a way to do so. According to a new study done at Harvard University,
- 18:25Oh the Strong study, the way to be more influential is by using
- 18:30one word in particular. Okay, that's all the difference is from being a
- 18:33not influential person to being influential. It seems easy. And the word,
- 18:37Amanda is because because in everybody use the word because. Could you describe?
- 18:45Could you give me the definition of because? Right? Interesting? Right?
- 18:51The definition? It's like if somebody asked me to describe what fire is.
- 18:56I don't know if I could that I could do. I know what it
- 18:59is is. I just I couldn't. Just I couldn't tell you what it
- 19:03is. If that makes sense with the word I got, I didn't know
- 19:06I was gonna have such a curveball today. Oh my goodness. I was
- 19:10sort of like the you know, for the reason that as you look it
- 19:14up, Yeah, okay, for the reason that so the word because it's
- 19:17so influential, because they use a study where they basically the example they used
- 19:22is if you're some if you're trying to use a copy machine at a shared
- 19:25space, we'll say the office. Maybe you're at the library and somebody else
- 19:29is using it, but you want to use it instead. If you were
- 19:33to just say to them, may I use the xerox machine, They're probably
- 19:37not gonna let you. They'd be like, no, dude, Like I'm
- 19:40using it? Well, yeah, it makes sense, right, Why are
- 19:41you so much better than me? They found though, that they are fifty
- 19:45percent more likely to let you use the coffee machine if you were to say,
- 19:48may I use the xerox machine because I'm in a rush, or insert
- 19:55really any reason at all. See, I don't like it because it feels
- 19:57like using that leverage which makes you feel you're more important than somebody else.
- 20:03Like what they're doing is just peas and carrots compared to your filet mignong that
- 20:07you've got going on. I don't like it. Well, let's not disrespect
- 20:08peas and carrots. You know, I don't like that kind of behavior.
- 20:14It bothers me. I'm not saying it's good or bad. I'm just saying
- 20:17it works according to the study. And you know, people like that,
- 20:19like the sales person type, they just have these little tricks. And I
- 20:23know there's all sorts of like what do you call it? Not it's like
- 20:26no, but there is. There are certain people who do things. I've
- 20:30worked with them numerous times or situations. Manipulative might be a word absolutely where
- 20:36it's like they say it and the way they say it makes you go,
- 20:37well, I can't argue that that's right, and you're annoyed by it,
- 20:41but there's nothing you can do because you just have to do it. I
- 20:45get it, but I don't want to be that person. I know,
- 20:48And that's just it. There's and there's so much work you could do if
- 20:51you're trying to sell people on stuff. You know, there's so many like
- 20:52sociological isomic is such an idiot? You sounded like my daughter doing like syllables,
- 21:00So see a lot of jug Yeah, but you're right, it's a
- 21:03at what cost mans you're saying, this is being influential for me. This
- 21:07is you being a tool, right. I don't like it here, Just
- 21:11be yourself. Whatever comes out naturally, just let it come out. If
- 21:15you're convincing, great and I should be likable, be like, hey,
- 21:18can I just pop in here real quick if you have some copies to do.
- 21:21In fact, Amanda, I'll do you on better. I'll make the
- 21:23copy for you. You go take a take a rest, go have a
- 21:27sit. Hope you put you to set. Now here's what you need to
- 21:33know. Well, there's an investigation underway by several organizations for this video that
- 21:37surfaced on social media over the weekend. So Friday night's basketball game, it
- 21:41was Grand Forks versus Stanley. At the very end of the game, there
- 21:45was a Grandforks player that punched a Shanley kid in the head. If you
- 21:47saw the video, it's wild, like just us, don't punch anybody.
- 21:53I mean, it's okay, But in the back of the refs going oh
- 21:56my gosh, how wasn't this called out? Well, it was at the
- 21:59end of the game, and just like anything, the refs clearly didn't see
- 22:02it. Nobody really did. It was caught on somebody's camera. People are
- 22:06wanting repercussions Shanley just as a whole. They're saying, we respect the process
- 22:08and trust that this is going to be handled appropriately. The Grandforks player has
- 22:11yet to be suspended. They're actually playing horse tonight, so I don't know
- 22:15what's going to happen. And I'm sure the young man just made a mistake
- 22:18in the heat of the moment, which nobody's perfect, and I'm sure he'll
- 22:21learn it it happens. Yeah, exactly, Move over, iPhone, there's
- 22:25a new number one in sound. For the first time ever, the iPhone
- 22:27did not take the top spot and customer satisfaction. I guess this Samsung Galaxy.
- 22:32You asked me about all the time that S twenty four took the top
- 22:36spot. Yeah right. What kind of propaganda did you find this morning?
- 22:38I was propaganda dot com? Yeah, propaganda dot com. I'm like,
- 22:42gee, I'm short on some trendy news today. No, I just I
- 22:47got to chuckle out of it because you always give me a hard time at
- 22:48some friends rasing me over the weekend because we were in a group text and
- 22:52same thing. It's like the when you're in a group text it's just it's
- 22:56it's ridiculous. It is to have the green text that. I mean,
- 23:00it's a minor inconvenience if we're being honest. However, call me. It's
- 23:03the sending of pictures. So if somebody, because we communicate with so much,
- 23:07so many family members and stuff, and I'm usually the one taking the
- 23:11pictures in the video, I can send you a picture, no problem,
- 23:14But if you send me a bunch of pictures, they're going to lose their
- 23:18quality. Cool lose are cool. But if you send a video, it's
- 23:23just completely distorted. Like if my husband, I'm like, hey, can
- 23:26you take a video of this and send it to me? And he's like
- 23:27yeah, Then I said, I'm like, you're gonna have to send that
- 23:30through Facebook Messenger. I mean, just that noses a quality too. Meanwhile,
- 23:34iPhones and MacBooks, I can just seamlessly airdrop large video files to myself
- 23:40and other people, and I can recklessly do that to another Galaxy user.
- 23:45I'm glad that we have the competition, Like you need to phone providers at
- 23:48least, otherwise iPhone is just gonna you know, that's no good for the
- 23:52business landscape. But that's all I have to say on that. That's all
- 23:56I'll say. We're all worried about the business landscape of all of that wash,
- 24:00don't They could jack the prices up, But that's what keeps the price
- 24:02is so darn reasonable. Is that this competition? You know, I've always
- 24:06said that about my phone bill. It's so reasonable and cell phones. Honestly,
- 24:10this may be an unpopular opinion, but I think they could charge more.
- 24:14Thank you? What us shut you down? Truly? How about this
- 24:18guy, his name John Cheeks. He checked his powerball ticket the day after
- 24:22January seventh, So I don't know why it's written this way January eighth,
- 24:26and uh, what ended up happening is when he saw the ticket number one,
- 24:30Where was he on January sixth? Now we're just kidding around, all
- 24:36right, So what happened to Cheeks? Well, he was buying a powerball
- 24:38ticket. He checked it right before he went to bed, and all the
- 24:42numbers matched up. He won three hundred and forty million dollars. His exact
- 24:48quote was I got a little excited, oh my god. But I didn't
- 24:51shout, I didn't scream. He notes that he called a friend then took
- 24:56a picture, as he recommended and that was it. I went to sleep.
- 25:00That statement alone makes me feel like you're just not a sane person.
- 25:03I would be losing my mind if I won three hundred and forty million dollars.
- 25:06I can't go to bed at night if I have lunch plans the next
- 25:07day. This guy went to sleep with a three hundred and forty million dollars
- 25:11lottery ticket. Come on, then he woke up, Come on, and
- 25:17the numbers different. There was a website error on the DC Lottery's website.
- 25:23So now he's suing for what he says his rightful winning's mistake or no,
- 25:27well, he might have a case because what did people sue for it?
- 25:30Hot the distrain? No, like, what's the emotional distress? Yeah,
- 25:33I talk about some emotional distress. He really he really ruined that too,
- 25:38because he said he just wins. It was no big deal for him.
- 25:42It seems like cool, calm and collected cheeks. What does he do for
- 25:47work That three hundred and forty million isn't keeping him up at night? I
- 25:49get a minute in the morning, come on, get up on, big
- 25:55very excited to have the newly engaged James Tyler still hanging out with the hype
- 26:00in the morning. We kind of suck people in. It's like one shot,
- 26:03you know what, you're hanging out with us, James. I know
- 26:07you're a bit of a dart span, aren't him. Love a good dart
- 26:10game. Okay, well then you'll be interested to hear that there are some
- 26:11drama in the world of darts professional darts Amanda, Okay, okay, artists,
- 26:18because a darts player named Darren Webster has controversially accused his opponent of farting
- 26:23during their face off at the Darts Super Series, which is equivalent to you
- 26:29know, the Super Bowl. I'm envisioning like as you have your dart and
- 26:33you're going up there to get bull's eye. Is it like a that Yeah,
- 26:37exactly. I'm just wondering if it's like you know how kids think it's
- 26:40funny when they kind of like roll over and go. Is that like blowing
- 26:44it in the direction as a It was a more of the stink factor,
- 26:48man, it wasn't. It wasn't like a jarring noise. I thought he's
- 26:52so silent but deadly correct. He went on a rants on social media after
- 26:56you know this guy, this Darren Webster, for his part, he's won
- 26:59this event twice, so he goes in there thinking he's gonna win, but
- 27:03after he didn't, he went on a rant saying that his opponent quite literally
- 27:07used a stinky tactic. This is good. This is what he posted.
- 27:12Quite the excuse. Ke Webster said, well, when you play a guy
- 27:15who farts and stinks the stage out and denies it, then kick you when
- 27:21you're playing the stall every throw because they are bleep. Good luck to the
- 27:26future. But I'm not interested rant over, So there's drama. How do
- 27:30you prove it? You know, he types like tailor Britney Spears. Oh
- 27:34you're gonna say, Travis Kelcey kind of a horse apiece. Travis Kelsey is
- 27:38pretty bad on social media too. I think he has handlers now for his
- 27:41social media, but back in the day it was a little rusty. We
- 27:45all had a little rust at one point. Oh totally. I mean,
- 27:48what do you guys think is this ethical or no? I mean, I
- 27:52don't think it's illegal. Do you think that it's fair that he would have
- 27:55to hold it in and possibly screw up his own game? That's a good
- 27:57question. I mean, honestly, he could have very easily been like due
- 28:00to a tummy ache. Yeah, well I was not able to win the
- 28:06dart league. There's a number of health conditions he could have that would cause
- 28:08this. But or it could be just a tactic like the guy suggested back
- 28:12in wrestling. If you guys knew, I wrestled back in high school.
- 28:15But some kids would just like not wear deodorant to sort of use it to
- 28:18their gye. I can see that that's a that's actually a pretty good tactic.
- 28:22Yeah, oh, I told you. We went to a little kid
- 28:26wrestling match the other day and even just like walking in it was great.
- 28:29But I didn't realize when I was in the gym, I was like,
- 28:32okay, this is nice. It was really hot. There was a lot
- 28:33of kids. And then I walked out, got some fresh air, and
- 28:36walked back in, and I was like, who I mean, I can't
- 28:38imagine. What do you think he ate to cause his tummy issue? You
- 28:45make yourself do not real large haggies at the bar. I'm looking at the
- 28:48guy the culprit, and it looks like a guy that just eats a lot
- 28:52of hot dogs at home, doesn't ever use the oven'ch a ton of microwave
- 28:59stuff looks like a hot dog guy. Yeah, this looks like you know,
- 29:03he looks a little sweaty all the time. You know, the guy
- 29:06a hot dog grease, not a lot of preheating the oven from this guy's
- 29:12kind of just going straight to the house a stove chip, taking a Manda
- 29:17in the morning, seven up and at them and excited to tell you how
- 29:21you can stop your cell phone social media addiction. Oh, tell me,
- 29:25because I know everybody has to me. We all find ourselves just scrolling,
- 29:30mindlessly scrolling. You just can't. You don't get why you just can't stop.
- 29:33They've identified what the problem is, and Amanda, they've named it something
- 29:37called the dorrito theory. Have you heard of the do oh? I can
- 29:41only imagine been a while since they've had dorito's, and mainly pike, because
- 29:45once I get my hand on a dorito, I just can't get my fingies
- 29:51out of the bag. Amen. And that's just it, Amanda, you
- 29:52know why? You know why doritos are equally as addicting as scrolling social media?
- 29:57Is there a crack on them? I'm just I have no idea.
- 30:00There's no room on the show for that kind of Come on, no,
- 30:04Aman, when you eat a dorrito and you finish your bite, you're not
- 30:08fully satisfied, right, Nobody ever got full on doritos, Whereas if you're
- 30:15eating let's say a steak, there'd be a point where you're like, okay,
- 30:18that's enough enough. Yeah, it's because the dorrito is unsatiating, much
- 30:26like scrolling social media. They say that because as you're scrolling, it's never
- 30:30fully satisfying. You just can't You can't stop. It's like a dorito.
- 30:36So how do you solve it? Nobody knows what they said what At this
- 30:41point, all we know how to do is identify the problem. You find
- 30:47some new social media friends that are a little bit more satisfying you a little
- 30:52bit more, some more steak like follows on your Instagram, but it's,
- 30:56you know, the che What do you do with your doritos? It's kind
- 31:00of like a like for me, I can't buy things like nuts, like
- 31:03a big thing of nuts, all mends, cashews, peanuts, because I
- 31:08will not stop sunflower. Really, we were driving back from the cities a
- 31:11couple weeks ago and I was so tired. I had to have something to
- 31:15occupy me, so I get sunflower seeds, big bag of giants and you
- 31:19can't stop. I cannot stop until my mouth is just raw. Ooh uh
- 31:23uh. Yeah, I have a little bit more self control when it comes
- 31:27to some of those things. Nuts are in particular, I can have like
- 31:32a handful and I'm good. Really, yeah, I'm It's not like you
- 31:36never put down a whole bag of nuts. No, I mean peanuts one
- 31:40thing. If you go and you get like the actual ones that are in
- 31:42the shells, that one, because it's more of like at it's more of
- 31:47a pastime. Yeah. Pistachios though, those will get me on the ponto.
- 31:49Get me some pistachios and I'm rolling. It's like, oh, get
- 31:52the bag, get the bag away for throwing the water. You're like in
- 31:56the holiday season. Remember that you know you're mixed the so to nuts,
- 32:00the ones you got a crack with the nutcracker, like those, I'll just
- 32:02eat those until the whole entire kitchen table it's covered in crack nuts. So
- 32:07what do you do with your dorito? How do you stop eating doritos?
- 32:10And what's the most addicting chip? Would you say? Sun chips? Love
- 32:15me a heart shutter sun chip or French onion? But I feel like you
- 32:17can't buy those as like they're not as available available. Yeah, like they
- 32:22have the big bags, but they don't have the small bags like they used
- 32:23to. I don't know. I feel like I've seen a small bag of
- 32:27sun chips, French onion, the garden salsa came in and really bumped out
- 32:32frenchise. Yeah, it's the best. That's why we were talking about social
- 32:36media and now we're talking about chips. This is the problem. This is
- 32:39an evolving it's a mature, evolving conversation we're having. Now, what's the
- 32:43best flavor of pringle? You know what we should do? We should put
- 32:45this on social media. This might be the steak people are looking for.
- 32:50You're able to really fill them up on a two Yes, once they see
- 32:52this post from us, they'll put their phone down and say, all right,
- 32:54kids, honey, I'm ready to be present.
