Transcript
- 0:00Lisa Hopkins: Hey there.
- 0:01Lisa Hopkins: Have you been feeling scattered or unfocused lately?
- 0:07Lisa Hopkins: If so, this is a short moment to return to yourself, not to force concentration, and not to clear your mind so much as to simply reconnect with where your attention wants to go.
- 0:31Lisa Hopkins: So when you're ready, find a comfortable position wherever you can, wherever feels right, just to take these moments to recalibrate consciously.
- 0:49Lisa Hopkins: Seated is ideal, but standing works too, lying down, whatever feels right for you.
- 0:57Lisa Hopkins: And before you close your eyes, I invite you just to take a breath in in this space.
- 1:05Lisa Hopkins: And as you exhale it, gently close your eyes.
- 1:14Lisa Hopkins: Or simply soften your gaze toward the floor and the space in front of you, whatever feels right.
- 1:22Lisa Hopkins: And now with intention, I want you to take a slow breath in through your nose and exhale gently through your mouth.
- 1:36Lisa Hopkins: Again, inhaling, maybe holding up the top, and then exhaling a little bit longer than the inhale.
- 1:58Lisa Hopkins: Let your shoulders drop just a little.
- 2:01Lisa Hopkins: Unclench your jaw and soften the small muscles around your eyes.
- 2:11Lisa Hopkins: There's nothing to fix.
- 2:16Lisa Hopkins: You don't need to fix anything.
- 2:19Lisa Hopkins: Nothing needs to change.
- 2:25Lisa Hopkins: You don't need to change anything.
- 2:29Lisa Hopkins: Simply notice that you are here.
- 2:35Lisa Hopkins: Take another deep breath in.
- 2:47Lisa Hopkins: And as you breathe out, imagine your attention settling.
- 2:52Lisa Hopkins: Settling like snow falling slowly in a snow globe, or like leaves gently drifting down to the ground.
- 3:08Lisa Hopkins: Everything that felt stirred up.
- 3:16Lisa Hopkins: Thoughts, distractions, unfinished tasks.
- 3:22Lisa Hopkins: Feel them beginning to settle naturally.
- 3:27Lisa Hopkins: There's nothing wrong with a busy mind.
- 3:35Lisa Hopkins: Minds generate thoughts.
- 3:39Lisa Hopkins: That's what they do.
- 3:42Lisa Hopkins: But right now, in this moment, we're simply choosing where to place our attention.
- 3:51Lisa Hopkins: Draw your awareness to your breathing.
- 3:59Lisa Hopkins: Notice the rise of your chest as you inhale, and the gentle fall as you exhale.
- 4:12Lisa Hopkins: You might notice thoughts trying to pull you away.
- 4:19Lisa Hopkins: A to-do list, a conversation, something unfinished, and that's completely normal.
- 4:36Lisa Hopkins: And so when that happens, simply acknowledge it, and imagine placing that thought gently to the side, like setting a book back on the shelf.
- 4:53Lisa Hopkins: You can return to it later if you feel like it.
- 4:59Lisa Hopkins: But right now we're choosing one place for our attention.
- 5:08Lisa Hopkins: One breath, one moment, one small intentional point of focus.
- 5:24Lisa Hopkins: Continue breathing naturally.
- 5:32Lisa Hopkins: And with each inhale, feel clarity coming in, invite it.
- 5:40Lisa Hopkins: Each inhale bringing a little clarity, and each exhale releasing the scattered energy of the day.
- 5:52Lisa Hopkins: Let it go.
- 5:59Lisa Hopkins: Now gently ask yourself this simple question.
- 6:04Lisa Hopkins: What deserves my attention right now?
- 6:16Lisa Hopkins: Not what is loudest, not what is most urgent, but what truly deserves your energy in this moment.
- 6:35Lisa Hopkins: Allow the answer to arrive without forcing it.
- 6:39Lisa Hopkins: Maybe it's a single task.
- 6:45Lisa Hopkins: Maybe it's a conversation you're about to have.
- 6:56Lisa Hopkins: A piece of creative work, or simply the next step in front of you.
- 7:05Lisa Hopkins: Imagine gathering your attention like sunlight through a magnifying glass, bringing scattered rays together into one clear point.
- 7:23Lisa Hopkins: Focus doesn't require tension.
- 7:32Lisa Hopkins: It comes from alignment, from intention, from choice.
- 7:44Lisa Hopkins: Take one more slow breath in, and as you exhale, allow that sense of clarity to settle into your body.
- 8:02Lisa Hopkins: Your mind does not have to do everything right now.
- 8:06Lisa Hopkins: It's only one thing at a time.
- 8:14Lisa Hopkins: Focus on one thing and do the next thing.
- 8:22Lisa Hopkins: When you're ready, gently open your eyes.
- 8:36Lisa Hopkins: There are no right or wrong answers.
- 8:39Lisa Hopkins: There's just one tiny step.
- 8:42Lisa Hopkins: Bring your focus in.
- 8:46Lisa Hopkins: Pinpoint it like that sunlight through a magnifying glass.
- 8:52Lisa Hopkins: And carry the sense of focus with you.
- 8:59Lisa Hopkins: One moment, one breath, one step at a time.
- 9:07Lisa Hopkins: You've got this.
- 9:12Lisa Hopkins: Namaste, my friends.
