Latest / The Mark Simone Show / Hour 1: What's next for oil prices?
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: This is seven, or boy, the Mark Simon Show starts. Now, well,
- 0:11Speaker 1: hey it's rating, but that's okay. You need this to
- 0:14Speaker 1: wash that snow away. And then it's gonna be a
- 0:17Speaker 1: very warm weekend and that's the end of winter. Spring
- 0:19Speaker 1: begins in sixteen days this weekend, daylight saving time, Baseball
- 0:25Speaker 1: starts in a couple of weeks. It's gonna be a
- 0:27Speaker 1: spring before you know it. Hey, we got a lot
- 0:30Speaker 1: to get to. We'll get to President Trump ran, We'll
- 0:32Speaker 1: get looks like Christy no, maybe out. We'll get to that.
- 0:35Speaker 1: We'll get to that silly little Tim Waltz. We'll get
- 0:38Speaker 1: to oil gas prices, we'll get to low Holtz and
- 0:42Speaker 1: a whole lot more coming up. So, now here's the
- 0:46Speaker 1: latest on the war. You got the fake news doing
- 0:49Speaker 1: their fake coverage. Now, what they do in fake news,
- 0:52Speaker 1: and Democrats collude with them, they always create a false
- 0:57Speaker 1: narrative and just drill that into your head. Now, two
- 1:02Speaker 1: false narratives going on. If you watch, for instance, ABC
- 1:06Speaker 1: News last night David Muir, you'd come away with the
- 1:10Speaker 1: impression of this war is a disaster. We're losing, it's over,
- 1:13Speaker 1: we're wiped out. We're not doing well, this has got
- 1:16Speaker 1: to be in the first we're in day six now,
- 1:19Speaker 1: in the first six days, it's got to be the
- 1:21Speaker 1: most successful war ever in history militarily. I mean as
- 1:25Speaker 1: far as how much we've taken out, how much we've
- 1:27Speaker 1: wiped out, how much we've been hit in return. The
- 1:32Speaker 1: most successful war in history.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:35Speaker 1: A lot of that is because the technology is so
- 1:37Speaker 1: improved over the last few years. We're using all kinds
- 1:40Speaker 1: of laser weapons that haven't been used before that are
- 1:44Speaker 1: absolutely amazing. We're able to take out missiles. Some of
- 1:47Speaker 1: this weaponry is so sophisticated and involves all sorts of
- 1:52Speaker 1: systems with satellites and lasers that can, as soon as
- 1:55Speaker 1: the missiles launch, can track its path take it out immediately.
- 2:00Speaker 1: We've already hit seventeen hundred targets. Over two hundred of
- 2:05Speaker 1: Iran's ballistic missile launchers have been destroyed. That's more than
- 2:09Speaker 1: half of what the nation possessed. They used to be
- 2:12Speaker 1: able to fire fifty missiles at a time. Now it's
- 2:16Speaker 1: two or three and that's it. That's it. So we're
- 2:19Speaker 1: doing very well. If you were watching the ABC News
- 2:23Speaker 1: last night or most of the media, you come away
- 2:25Speaker 1: with the oppression that it's a mess. We're in real trouble.
- 2:29Speaker 1: We're losing the other false narrative, and this is the
- 2:33Speaker 1: one that keep drilling in everybody's heads. The President's messaging
- 2:37Speaker 1: is terrible. He is never not yet, he's not spoken
- 2:40Speaker 1: of the nation. He's not explained what we're doing there
- 2:44Speaker 1: or the purpose of that. He hasn't explained why we're
- 2:48Speaker 1: There's not anybody, there's no normal person that can't figure
- 2:52Speaker 1: out why we're there. There's nothing that needs to be explained.
- 2:55Speaker 1: You've got an absolute lunatic running a country, the biggest
- 3:01Speaker 1: sponsor of terrorism in the world, the guy who has
- 3:05Speaker 1: been after the US for forty seven years. Everybody can
- 3:07Speaker 1: figure out what we're doing there. This is no great mystery.
- 3:11Speaker 1: But there's no normal American gun Iran. What would we
- 3:16Speaker 1: go to war with a rant? Why would we want
- 3:19Speaker 1: to get rid of the guy I Tola. There's nobody
- 3:20Speaker 1: saying that there's nothing that needs to be explained, but
- 3:23Speaker 1: this is what they'll keep saying. Then you got the
- 3:26Speaker 1: problem with the Democrats right now. Your leaders in Congress
- 3:29Speaker 1: are not the brightest or most articulate people. You got
- 3:33Speaker 1: that Hakim Jeffreys, who looks like a very low iq
- 3:37Speaker 1: sort of a robot, you know, with those robot eyes
- 3:39Speaker 1: and those robot voice, and he's not very effective. But
- 3:43Speaker 1: here he is just going after the president.
- 3:45Speaker 3: The president who said just several months ago, in June
- 3:50Speaker 3: of last year, that Iran's nuclear program had been completely
- 3:55Speaker 3: and totally obliterated. That's the president's words. Did he lied
- 4:00Speaker 3: to us it then or was he lying now?
- 4:02Speaker 1: Yes, again, he's not that bright, this guy. He's just
- 4:06Speaker 1: I'm sure he's a nice guy. He's just not very bright. Well, yeah,
- 4:09Speaker 1: it was completely obliterated, and then they started rebuilding, they
- 4:14Speaker 1: started acquiring the chemicals and the stuff they needed and uranium,
- 4:18Speaker 1: and they were trying to restart it. I mean, it's
- 4:20Speaker 1: not that hard to figure out. But he thinks you're stupid.
- 4:23Speaker 1: He thinks we're all stupid, and so now they're going
- 4:26Speaker 1: to vote for this war powers actor. You know, the
- 4:30Speaker 1: president has total authority to do this. He's got sixty
- 4:33Speaker 1: days that he can do this without ever going to Congress.
- 4:37Speaker 1: And if there's no boots in the ground, he never
- 4:38Speaker 1: has to go to Congress. It's been done a million times.
- 4:41Speaker 1: We haven't gone to Congress to get war declared in
- 4:44Speaker 1: about eighty years. It's just never done. There's no reason
- 4:48Speaker 1: for it. So it's all a myth that they've made up.
- 4:50Speaker 1: And this Chuck Schumer, you know, with the glass, is
- 4:53Speaker 1: all fogging up and very serious and pompous about this.
- 4:57Speaker 4: Today the Senate will vote to discharge a bike. Part
- 5:00Speaker 4: is in resolution led by Senators Kane, shift Paul and
- 5:04Speaker 4: myself to put a halt to military activity in Iran
- 5:08Speaker 4: without congressional approval.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Yes, they are very somber, very serious. They are going
- 5:14Speaker 1: to vote. Nobody's gonna pay any attention to their vote.
- 5:17Speaker 1: It means absolutely nothing, you know. It's like there's a
- 5:19Speaker 1: story today. You might have seen this on the news.
- 5:23Speaker 1: The International Trade Court has ruled that the President must
- 5:27Speaker 1: repay the terror off money. And you'll hear these newscasters say,
- 5:32Speaker 1: blockbuster ruling. The International Trade Court has ruled the President
- 5:38Speaker 1: must return all the terraff. This International Trade Court is
- 5:42Speaker 1: some little dinky court that has absolutely no authority over anything.
- 5:46Speaker 1: They mean, absolutely nothing. Nobody's ever heard of this International
- 5:50Speaker 1: Trade Court. This will be overturned by five o'clock today.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Absolutely guaranteed. They have no authority to rule on anything,
- 5:57Speaker 1: but they never tell you that the news reports. Chuck
- 6:00Speaker 1: Schumer's it's very serious.
- 6:02Speaker 4: To Americans overwhelmingly opposed war with Iran and Senate Republicans.
- 6:08Speaker 1: First of all, latest polling it's about fifty to fifty.
- 6:10Speaker 1: So you're absolutely lying about that.
- 6:12Speaker 4: Duty to stand up for Americans by forcing Donald Trump
- 6:16Speaker 4: to reverse course.
- 6:20Speaker 1: So now what he's proposed is reverse course. They're gonna
- 6:24Speaker 1: have to pull out of Iran, rebuild it, put everybody back.
- 6:30Speaker 1: I guess they'll have to somehow revive the Iatola somehow.
- 6:34Speaker 1: By the way, there's another Iatola. He's the foreign minister.
- 6:37Speaker 1: He has demanded what did he say? We are We're
- 6:40Speaker 1: going to go after Trump's blood. The Iatola calls for
- 6:45Speaker 1: Trump's blood. You know, I don't know why he wanted
- 6:49Speaker 1: this job. You know, he had a great life in
- 6:50Speaker 1: New York, great life in Palm Beach. Now he's wiping
- 6:54Speaker 1: out Iran. Got Iatola's calling for his blood. Who the
- 6:57Speaker 1: who needs this? But thank god he's tough to do it.
- 7:00Speaker 5: Now.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Is there any Democrat with any common sense, any normal Democrat,
- 7:05Speaker 1: believe it or not. I don't know how this happened,
- 7:07Speaker 1: But Fetterman is the voice of reason.
- 7:09Speaker 2: As a Democrat. They're afraid to just agree with Trump
- 7:12Speaker 2: on anything anything at this point, and now, hey, I'm
- 7:16Speaker 2: going to agree with that. I'm always going to pick
- 7:18Speaker 2: my country over at my party, and I'm always going
- 7:21Speaker 2: to acknowledge one of good things happen.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Yeah, Aatola is the Hitler of today. He's a murdering
- 7:27Speaker 1: a guy trying to wipe out the Jews. That's one
- 7:30Speaker 1: reason the Democrats hate this. It's removed the biggest threat
- 7:33Speaker 1: to Israel in the world. Democrats don't like that. It's
- 7:37Speaker 1: much better for Israel. That's really really bothering Democrats. And
- 7:41Speaker 1: then you got this awful Chris Murphy, this whack job
- 7:45Speaker 1: of connecticuts.
- 7:45Speaker 6: Oil prices up by nine percent, gasoline prices their largest
- 7:50Speaker 6: one day increase in twenty years, Natural gas prices up
- 7:55Speaker 6: forty five percent. The region is in chaos. American consumers
- 8:01Speaker 6: are paying the price and for what. We still don't
- 8:04Speaker 6: even know the reason for this war.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Yeah, he can't figure it out. To take out the
- 8:08Speaker 1: most evil, rutal dictator in the world, who's the biggest
- 8:11Speaker 1: pusher a sponsor of terrorism. You can't figure out why
- 8:14Speaker 1: we got why would you go after a guy like
- 8:15Speaker 1: that now that he's right about these gas and oil prices,
- 8:18Speaker 1: there is a spike. It's a temporary spike. We've had
- 8:21Speaker 1: them many times. The spike will last a few weeks.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Now the President is proposed getting rid of that spike,
- 8:29Speaker 1: even in the middle of the war. You can remove
- 8:30Speaker 1: the spike by removing the gas taxes. During this brief
- 8:35Speaker 1: period where there's a spike, the gas tax holiday, the
- 8:38Speaker 1: government will stop the gas tax, which will put the
- 8:40Speaker 1: price right back to normal. Now watch he's proposing this.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Now watch the Democrats will block it. You could get
- 8:48Speaker 1: the price right back to normal. Democrats will block it.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Now they're yelling and screaming this guy and all the
- 8:53Speaker 1: rest of them about that to do something about the
- 8:55Speaker 1: gas prices, the oil prices. They'll block it. When it
- 8:58Speaker 1: comes time to fix it. Democrats always promising, always talking,
- 9:02Speaker 1: when it comes to actually fixing something, when have you
- 9:05Speaker 1: ever seen that, whether it's going to close the border,
- 9:08Speaker 1: we're going to do something about the homeless, whatever they're
- 9:11Speaker 1: ever promising, When have you ever seen him actually fix anything.
- 9:16Speaker 1: So they're out in the street protesting. Now, think about this,
- 9:19Speaker 1: Think about the logic of this. These Democrats are out
- 9:22Speaker 1: in the street, protesting that we went after and ran
- 9:25Speaker 1: in the actual they're protesting getting rid of a guy
- 9:30Speaker 1: who spent the last thirty years murdering protesters. All he
- 9:35Speaker 1: does is murder protesters, and they're protesting his removal. Think
- 9:38Speaker 1: about that for a minute. So oil gas prices again,
- 9:43Speaker 1: big spike. It'll come down, President Trump.
- 9:47Speaker 7: Yesterday, they're attacking their neighbors. They're attacking there in some
- 9:51Speaker 7: cases allies or not so long ago allies. And you know,
- 9:55Speaker 7: it's really a nation that was out of control, and
- 9:58Speaker 7: they would have used it on if we let them.
- 10:01Speaker 7: We waited any longer.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Yeah, Hey, check out my Twitter. It's a funny.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Uh.
- 10:05Speaker 1: We got Rachel Maddow twenty twenty five screaming that President
- 10:09Speaker 1: Trump is doing nothing about Iran and that he's going
- 10:12Speaker 1: to wait till they have a nuclear bomb and it's
- 10:14Speaker 1: too late and that's insane. Now he goes after Iran
- 10:19Speaker 1: and it's her. In twenty twenty sixth why would we
- 10:22Speaker 1: go after Iran?
- 10:23Speaker 7: Somebody said, on a scale of ten, where would you're
- 10:25Speaker 7: read it? I said about a fifteen.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Yeah, we're doing well.
- 10:27Speaker 7: Somebody said, on a scale of ten, where would you're
- 10:29Speaker 7: read it? I said about a fifteen and we're going
- 10:33Speaker 7: to continue to do. We have the greatest military in
- 10:36Speaker 7: the world by far.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Yeah. So now to get the other people think, get
- 10:40Speaker 1: the oil flowing, you have to get those tankers moving
- 10:42Speaker 1: through the Straits of Hormuz. Now, the problem is it's
- 10:45Speaker 1: dangerous and nobody will insure these tankers. That's the other
- 10:49Speaker 1: thing they're working on. Maybe the government will somehow put
- 10:52Speaker 1: together some insurance, and of course the Navy escort, but
- 10:55Speaker 1: insurance from the government. That way they can start moving again.
- 10:58Speaker 8: Caroline Levett, I don't want to admit to a timeline,
- 11:01Speaker 8: but certainly it's something that is being calculated actively by
- 11:04Speaker 8: both the Department of War and the Department of Energy.
- 11:07Speaker 8: They're working very closely. Both secretaries are in all of
- 11:10Speaker 8: the briefings on this subject with the President, and this
- 11:13Speaker 8: is again something they're monitoring and if and when necessary,
- 11:17Speaker 8: the United States Navy will provide assistance to escort oil
- 11:20Speaker 8: tinkers through the strait.
- 11:22Speaker 1: So hey, even cond Lisa Rice a real Bushy. You know,
- 11:25Speaker 1: the bush people tend to hate anything about President Trump,
- 11:28Speaker 1: but even cond Lisa Rice urging President Trump keep going
- 11:33Speaker 1: render them incapable, take care of Iran for good. She said,
- 11:36Speaker 1: We've been waiting for this for forty seven years. Nobody
- 11:41Speaker 1: caused more casualties for us, even and she points out
- 11:43Speaker 1: even in Iraq, most of our casualties in Iraq were
- 11:46Speaker 1: because of Iran. It was their homemade Iranian roadside bombs
- 11:51Speaker 1: that were going after our troops. Hey, we lost a great,
- 11:55Speaker 1: great American, a great figure, Lou Holtz Notre Dame, which
- 12:00Speaker 1: Lou Holtz passed away yesterday. What a coach.
- 12:02Speaker 9: Not Dame football is bigger than you as a player.
- 12:06Speaker 9: You came here for a cause, and our cause is
- 12:10Speaker 9: to be the very best. You don't come to not
- 12:12Speaker 9: Dame to win most of them some of them. You
- 12:15Speaker 9: come to Nor Dame to win all of them.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Yeah, he was a wonderful guy.
- 12:18Speaker 9: You're not playing for your teammate totally. You're not playing
- 12:22Speaker 9: for your coach. You're playing for the millions of people
- 12:26Speaker 9: to live and die with Notre Dame football.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Hey, Notre Dame people go crazy over Notre Dame football.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Anybody went to Notre Dame, They just go crazy watching
- 12:36Speaker 1: those football And Hey, I think this is Joe Namath
- 12:38Speaker 1: on ESPN.
- 12:38Speaker 10: I think his legacy Kevin is one of the greatest
- 12:41Speaker 10: coaches ever walk the sideline. I mean every place he
- 12:44Speaker 10: went he immediately made better. I think he'll just always
- 12:47Speaker 10: be remembered as someone who loved Notre Dame more than
- 12:51Speaker 10: anyone could possibly love anything else in this life.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Hey, do you remember h Keith Oberman? You remember that
- 13:02Speaker 1: crazy lunatic that was on MSNBC, That angry, bitter, crazy lunatic,
- 13:07Speaker 1: Keith Oberman. So he's getting a lot of flat because
- 13:10Speaker 1: yesterday after this happened, he tweeted out Lou Holtz, legendary scumbag.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Everybody went crazy on Twitter, and he tweeted it out again. Yes, scumbag.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Now I've been explaining this to you. People that have
- 13:26Speaker 1: been fired and shunned and are now total outcasts, like
- 13:31Speaker 1: Tucker Carlson, there, Megan Kelly or who else, the Candae
- 13:36Speaker 1: Owens or this Keith Oberman. They say these crazy things,
- 13:40Speaker 1: these outrageous things, because they're not on anywhere, They're not
- 13:43Speaker 1: on a big network, They lost their jobs. They can't
- 13:45Speaker 1: get a big job as a talk show host anywhere.
- 13:48Speaker 1: So they're doing shows out of their living room, basically
- 13:51Speaker 1: out of their bedroom. So they're just trying to say
- 13:54Speaker 1: outrageous things just to get covered. That's the only way
- 13:57Speaker 1: they have to get an audience. You know, if you're
- 13:58Speaker 1: not doing well, you just just keep hitting the line
- 14:01Speaker 1: or trying to cross the line. You just try to
- 14:03Speaker 1: be outrageous. It's just a way of screaming to get attention,
- 14:08Speaker 1: you know, when you see a nut, a mentally ill
- 14:12Speaker 1: nut on the corner, just screaming like a maniac, just
- 14:15Speaker 1: to get attention. So that's Megan Kelly. Now that's Tucker Carlson,
- 14:19Speaker 1: that's Keith Oberman, that's all of these people. Hey, we'll
- 14:23Speaker 1: take some calls in a minute. Eight hundred three to
- 14:25Speaker 1: two one zero seven ten is the number. Oh I
- 14:28Speaker 1: forgot Christy nom she's getting towards the end now of
- 14:33Speaker 1: being in the cabinet as Secretary of Homeland Department of
- 14:38Speaker 1: Homeland Security. She's on the way out. She had to
- 14:41Speaker 1: testify yesterday. Now she's got that Corey Lewandowski with her,
- 14:47Speaker 1: who used to be with Trump and then he had
- 14:48Speaker 1: to get tossed off the campaign and out of Trump world.
- 14:52Speaker 1: But he's with her and they've been apparently carrying on
- 14:55Speaker 1: this massive affair. She's testifying in Congress yesterday and they
- 15:00Speaker 1: even asked her about this affair. She wouldn't answer it.
- 15:04Speaker 1: She refuse to directly answer when asked if she's having
- 15:07Speaker 1: sexual relations with Corey Lewandowski, she called the question garbage.
- 15:12Speaker 1: She said, I am shocked that we're going down this
- 15:14Speaker 1: road and peddling tabloid garbage. And they kept asking. She
- 15:19Speaker 1: kept saying, this question is garbage, and another senator, Democrat, said,
- 15:24Speaker 1: you know, I really think you need to say the
- 15:25Speaker 1: word no into the record and clear this up. And
- 15:30Speaker 1: she still wouldn't answer. She said, well, this is what
- 15:31Speaker 1: you do the liberal left. You say conservative women are
- 15:34Speaker 1: stupid or sluts. I am neither. Well we can a
- 15:38Speaker 1: little debate that another time. Now she just refused to answer.
- 15:43Speaker 1: And this is a problem. It's embarrassing. But they're both married,
- 15:47Speaker 1: by the way, Christy Noman, Corey Lewandowski. But the other
- 15:50Speaker 1: problem is she spent two hundred and twenty million of
- 15:53Speaker 1: taxpayer money to run commercials supposedly to promote things for
- 15:58Speaker 1: the Department of Homeland Security. But the commercials all seemed
- 16:01Speaker 1: to feature her, all about her big you know her
- 16:07Speaker 1: on camera, her with a cowboy hat, all this stuff.
- 16:10Speaker 1: And she was asked about this, and she said, well,
- 16:13Speaker 1: the President told me to get the message out. But
- 16:16Speaker 1: then they got really specific. Did you get clearance to
- 16:19Speaker 1: spend all this money two hundred and twenty million on commercials
- 16:22Speaker 1: with yourself in it? And she said, I ran it
- 16:24Speaker 1: by the lawyers. I ran it by legal list. But
- 16:27Speaker 1: then they said, did you run it by the president?
- 16:29Speaker 1: She said yes. That's the word that's getting her fired.
- 16:33Speaker 1: And the President already talking about it. He did not
- 16:36Speaker 1: know about it. He doesn't want her saying that he
- 16:39Speaker 1: approved this because he didn't. So she's probably on her
- 16:42Speaker 1: way out. He's talking about what's his name, Mark Wayne Mullins,
- 16:47Speaker 1: the senator as the Secretary of Homeland Security. So look
- 16:52Speaker 1: for that to happen. Anyway, we'll take some calls in
- 16:55Speaker 1: a minute eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten. Hey,
- 16:59Speaker 1: you know we're hosting that big business networking event. A
- 17:02Speaker 1: lot of CEOs, business leaders, corporate leaders, and a lot
- 17:07Speaker 1: of our listeners will be there. But if you want

- 17:11Speaker 1: want to come, it's March nineteenth, like two weeks from now,

- 17:17Speaker 1: office building, two Park Avenue, Park Avenue thirty fourth Street,

- 17:26Speaker 1: want to do a corporate vent or something, it's a
- 17:27Speaker 1: beautiful venue with great views, beautiful outdoor terrace.
- 17:31Speaker 5: So we're going to do it.

- 18:18Speaker 11: Good morning, Mark. I'm doing very well, Thank you.
- 18:21Speaker 12: Mark.
- 18:21Speaker 11: With the exception of John Fetterman, I truly can't understand
- 18:25Speaker 11: how the Democrats such as Chuck Schumer and Kamala Harris
- 18:29Speaker 11: are bashing President Trump for Operation Epic Fury. And lastly,
- 18:34Speaker 11: due to this operation, will we finally see the end
- 18:37Speaker 11: of Hamas and Hezbollah.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Well, you'll see the end of their funding unless somebody else.
- 18:42Speaker 1: China is a rusher if somebody else wants to start
- 18:44Speaker 1: funding them. But yeah, you might, you might. Actually Israel
- 18:48Speaker 1: has been using this opportunity to take out a lot
- 18:50Speaker 1: of them. Yeah, you might. You might see the end
- 18:52Speaker 1: of them, or you might see them greatly greatly reduced. Certainly,
- 18:55Speaker 1: the funding will be gone, the weapons will be gone.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Let's go to Bob and Montvale, New Jersey. Bob, how
- 19:01Speaker 1: you doing.
- 19:02Speaker 13: I'm doing great, Mark, thanks to take my call. What
- 19:05Speaker 13: does Christy Nolan? It's a shame. Extracurriculous stuff gets in
- 19:09Speaker 13: a way of what the progress was. But you know,
- 19:12Speaker 13: people forget, maybe we all forgot that early on they
- 19:16Speaker 13: did flood the airwaves everything with these commercials to self
- 19:20Speaker 13: deport and that equated to almost two millions. So good there,
- 19:25Speaker 13: but this with stuff, Yeah, it's a shame how it
- 19:29Speaker 13: kind of put.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Yeah, it's good. Commercials are a good idea. I mean,
- 19:33Speaker 1: there's a lot of good you can do with them,
- 19:34Speaker 1: But that doesn't mean you've got to put your face
- 19:35Speaker 1: right on every one of them. I mean, she looks
- 19:41Speaker 1: pretty good, I guess, but you really don't need her
- 19:43Speaker 1: on all these commercials.
- 19:45Speaker 5: You know.
- 19:45Speaker 1: It's like it's like one of those businesses that runs
- 19:48Speaker 1: the commercials and the guy does it himself. Sometimes that's
- 19:51Speaker 1: good and he talks like yes, and it's not so effect.
- 19:55Speaker 1: You know, I don't know if we need her on
- 19:57Speaker 1: these commercials. Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike, how
- 20:00Speaker 1: you doing, Good morning, Mark, Mike.
- 20:04Speaker 12: Two quick things. One, Uh, the the need to fight Democrats,
- 20:11Speaker 12: to have a play by play of what's going on
- 20:12Speaker 12: in the war is absolutely like, I don't know where
- 20:15Speaker 12: that came from all of a sudden. But the other
- 20:17Speaker 12: thing with the nome issue Congress asking another person who
- 20:22Speaker 12: they're stooping is so ironic.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Watch your language.
- 20:28Speaker 12: If they go on Congress. Epstein files the shame.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Well, but it is a controversy within the department because, uh,
- 20:41Speaker 1: she spent a lot of money, uh millions of buying
- 20:44Speaker 1: this big jet plane with a bedroom in it so
- 20:46Speaker 1: they could fly around together and do who knows, But.
- 20:49Speaker 12: But you we both know what goes on in Congress.
- 20:52Speaker 12: They have a little fun to protect.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Them the hypocrisy of it. Okay, all right, you're right,
- 20:58Speaker 1: they're the last ones that have the right to ask exactly.
- 21:00Speaker 1: All right, Mike, Well, thanks for calling.
- 21:02Speaker 12: And we lost Monty Rock the Third two weeks ago.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Really, yeah, I didn't know. You're still alive. That's the
- 21:09Speaker 1: headline that.
- 21:10Speaker 12: Oh there's so much tubbles going on. It got lost
- 21:12Speaker 12: in the shuffle.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Okay. Monty Rock the Third was a hairdresser in New
- 21:17Speaker 1: York and he got himself on the I think the
- 21:19Speaker 1: MERV Griffin Show first and then the Tonight Show. Then
- 21:21Speaker 1: he became famous. He was such a funny guy and
- 21:23Speaker 1: a character outlandish guy. And then he had a hit record,
- 21:27Speaker 1: what was it called Disco Texan the Sexolets.
- 21:30Speaker 12: Yeah, something like that Let's Get Dance.
- 21:32Speaker 1: In nineteen seventy five, something.
- 21:34Speaker 5: Like that, big gosh memory, big.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Hit single Monty Rock the Third. So what was he doing,
- 21:39Speaker 1: like living in Boca Ratan and.
- 21:41Speaker 12: He was in Vegas apparently. That's so he must have
- 21:45Speaker 12: been doing something there. Maybe he had a residency in Vegas.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Yeah, at a coffee shop probably, but.
- 21:52Speaker 12: Some bagel shop.
- 21:53Speaker 1: All right, thanks for calling. Yeah, that's what happens when
- 21:55Speaker 1: you're a big, huge star. Well, you can do whatever
- 21:59Speaker 1: you want in retire. When you're like a one hit one,
- 22:02Speaker 1: they're flashing the pan from the sixties and you're all
- 22:04Speaker 1: washed up. That's the rule. You go to Boca Raton,
- 22:08Speaker 1: or Vegas, and you become the star of the bagel
- 22:11Speaker 1: shop there. So, hey, when we come back, Steve Moore,
- 22:15Speaker 1: the great economist, Steve Moore, we'll talk to him next
- 22:18Speaker 1: on seven to ten WR.
- 22:20Speaker 7: It's more more Mark Simone on sevent ten wor.
- 22:28Speaker 1: Hey, the great economist Steve Moore. Of course you see
- 22:32Speaker 1: him all over television, you read his columns. Make sure
- 22:34Speaker 1: you get his book, The Trump Economic Miracle, and also
- 22:38Speaker 1: you should sign up. He runs the Committee to Unleashed Prosperity.
- 22:42Speaker 1: They put out the best daily briefing, news analysis, great
- 22:45Speaker 1: stories every day. It's free. It'll come right to your email.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Just go to Unleash Prosperity dot com. Unleash Prosperity dot com.
- 22:54Speaker 1: Steve Moore, are you doing I'm Mark doing well.
- 22:57Speaker 5: Thank you very much, and thank god we've got president
- 23:00Speaker 5: in office to his drill, baby drill, so we're holding
- 23:04Speaker 5: the entergy prices down below, you know, remembers oh, it's
- 23:07Speaker 5: gonna be one undred dollars a mill of Trump, you know,
- 23:09Speaker 5: does any action in the Middle East, and that hasn't
- 23:13Speaker 5: happened because we're producing so much oil and gas here
- 23:15Speaker 5: at home. We're no longer I just wrote a column
- 23:19Speaker 5: on this. We're no longer highly reliant on Middle East
- 23:22Speaker 5: oil because we're the number one producer in the world.
- 23:24Speaker 5: So that's in large part because of obviously the incredible
- 23:28Speaker 5: shale revolution we had in Oklahoma and Texas and North Dakota,
- 23:32Speaker 5: but also because Trump you know, said, you know, go
- 23:35Speaker 5: out there and get it. And that's made a big difference.
- 23:38Speaker 5: And that's one of the reasons folks. Even though gas
- 23:41Speaker 5: places are up, they're not up nearly as much as
- 23:43Speaker 5: people thought they would be.
- 23:44Speaker 1: Yeah, we get a little spike, but what about his
- 23:47Speaker 1: idea of having a gas tax holiday during the little
- 23:51Speaker 1: spike and Democrats opposing it.
- 23:55Speaker 5: Well, that sells you a lot about you know, they
- 23:58Speaker 5: are so thirsty for tax they don't want to cut
- 24:01Speaker 5: anybody's taxes anywhere anytime. But listen, I think that we
- 24:06Speaker 5: have we are so bountiful, uh in our oil and
- 24:10Speaker 5: gas in this country, and the technology keeps getting better
- 24:14Speaker 5: and better. You know, I'm old enough to remember. Mark.
- 24:17Speaker 5: I think I'm a little older than you. You know,
- 24:19Speaker 5: in the late seventies. I remember when I was a
- 24:21Speaker 5: young teenager and we'd have to get up every morning.
- 24:23Speaker 5: We'd have to, you know, take the station wagon, the
- 24:26Speaker 5: old station wagon, over to the gas pump and be
- 24:28Speaker 5: fifteenth in line, you know, because there are gas lines
- 24:30Speaker 5: back then. And you know, the Saudi's and the old
- 24:33Speaker 5: Pech countries had a blade at our neck. And thanks
- 24:36Speaker 5: to Trump's droll baby drill strategy, they no longer have
- 24:39Speaker 5: that power over us. So the world's a different place,
- 24:43Speaker 5: in a safer place and a more affordable place because
- 24:46Speaker 5: of these policies. I don't understand why Biden Biden says
- 24:50Speaker 5: zero fossil fuels runs. We're not going to present any
- 24:52Speaker 5: oil gas call or anything. How dumb was that? You
- 24:55Speaker 5: think you think we could? We could, you know, find
- 24:58Speaker 5: finance and power thirty five trillion dollar economy with windmills
- 25:03Speaker 5: and switch grass. I mean stupid.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Yeah. Hey, and under Trump, there was a moment where
- 25:09Speaker 1: all of a sudden, we were the number one oil producer.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, we were the Saudi Arabia all of a sudden.
- 25:16Speaker 5: So yeah, exactly. In fact, I wrote a very famous
- 25:19Speaker 5: piece in the Wall Street Journal. I think this is
- 25:21Speaker 5: about twelve years ago or so, and losing track of them,
- 25:24Speaker 5: about twelve thirteen, fourteen years ago, about this guy Harold Ham,
- 25:28Speaker 5: who is the was one of the inventors of modern
- 25:31Speaker 5: day you know, shale drilling. And the name of the
- 25:36Speaker 5: article in the Wall Street Journal was Saudi America. And
- 25:39Speaker 5: that's what we've really turned into. And it's all because
- 25:42Speaker 5: of these amazing pioneers in the owl and gas industry.
- 25:45Speaker 5: And then you know, we should also be we should
- 25:48Speaker 5: be building about fifty nuclear plants the demand. I don't
- 25:51Speaker 5: know if you saw yesterday, but Trump got a deal
- 25:53Speaker 5: with the big tech execs that they will, you know,
- 25:57Speaker 5: if they're going to use a lot of the energy,
- 25:58Speaker 5: they're going to have to pay for it and they're
- 26:00Speaker 5: going to have to supply it. And they want to
- 26:04Speaker 5: do that. But he saw Bill Gates Microsoft, you know,
- 26:06Speaker 5: he's he's reopening the three Mile Island nuclear plant. So
- 26:09Speaker 5: why not use nuclear power? It's it's one of the
- 26:12Speaker 5: most efficient forms of energy, it doesn't emit any greenhouse gases.
- 26:15Speaker 5: I mean, why are the left against that?
- 26:17Speaker 1: Yeah, it's most countries use nuclear, but France is twenty
- 26:21Speaker 1: five per nuclear power.
- 26:23Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 26:23Speaker 1: The only concern was those used rods coming out of it.
- 26:28Speaker 1: But there's technology now to make that safety.
- 26:30Speaker 5: Yeah, the technology is so much better. And also we
- 26:32Speaker 5: have what we call the micro plants, so they're not
- 26:35Speaker 5: these gigantic, massive, you know, the plants that provide you know,
- 26:41Speaker 5: the electric power for four million people. Maybe you know
- 26:44Speaker 5: a little smaller modules that can you know, help provide
- 26:48Speaker 5: the electric power for a community with maybe one hundred
- 26:51Speaker 5: and fifty thousand people. And that that is a much safer,
- 26:54Speaker 5: it's much more efficient, and we should be building we
- 26:57Speaker 5: should be building hundreds of these smaller nuclear plants. Uh.
- 27:01Speaker 5: And again they're safe and they're they're clean burning.
- 27:04Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Now the reason we need this I don't quite understand this,
- 27:07Speaker 1: but for some reason AI uses more electricity, more.
- 27:10Speaker 5: Energy than we have. So yeah, yeah we have. We
- 27:15Speaker 5: just have something in our outline this morning about that market.
- 27:18Speaker 5: You may not have received, yea, we just sent it out. Yeah,
- 27:21Speaker 5: double double, the quadruple the amount of energy needs over
- 27:26Speaker 5: the next uh you know, seven years, seven or eight years,
- 27:30Speaker 5: and so we're going to need a lot more energy
- 27:32Speaker 5: to to for the data centers for the AI, for
- 27:35Speaker 5: the robotics, the new, the new, you know, uh generation
- 27:41Speaker 5: of technology. And you know, one of the points I
- 27:43Speaker 5: think people have to realize is it's a race right
- 27:45Speaker 5: now between the United States and China to see who
- 27:48Speaker 5: will lead the world. And that we led the world
- 27:50Speaker 5: in the Internet revolution with great companies like Google and
- 27:53Speaker 5: Amazon and Apple and Nvidia and Microsoft, et cetera. We
- 27:58Speaker 5: need to make sure we do the same with the
- 28:00Speaker 5: when we comes to robotics, AI, satellite technology, all this stuff.
- 28:04Speaker 5: But it uses a lot of energy.
- 28:06Speaker 1: Yeah. Hey, I read the hotline every day. The Committee
- 28:09Speaker 1: to Unleash Prosperity puts this out. You should subscribe to it.
- 28:12Speaker 1: It comes right to your emails free. It's great stuff
- 28:15Speaker 1: and I'm reading it today and turns out who else
- 28:17Speaker 1: was reading it every day. Lou Holtz.
- 28:20Speaker 5: Yeah, I love Lou Holtz. And you know, of course,
- 28:24Speaker 5: was the famous Notre Dame coach who won a national
- 28:27Speaker 5: championship in nineteen eighty eight for the football of course,
- 28:31Speaker 5: and was a hell of a guy. I mean, I
- 28:32Speaker 5: got to know him really well. He won the President
- 28:35Speaker 5: Trump gave him the Presidential Metal Freedom. He was incredibly inspirational,
- 28:40Speaker 5: He really helped so many young He turned boys into
- 28:44Speaker 5: men and was an amazing force. And every time I
- 28:47Speaker 5: saw him, he was so inspirational, and he was humble
- 28:50Speaker 5: and had a great sense of humor. Died at the
- 28:52Speaker 5: age of eighty nine, but he really you know, I
- 28:56Speaker 5: feel very proud to have been able to call lou
- 28:58Speaker 5: Holts up front.
- 28:59Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Uh, Hey, California. I love this article today because Gavin
- 29:03Speaker 1: Newsom obviously's running for president. How does he explain completely
- 29:07Speaker 1: bundling up the whole transit system of California.
- 29:11Speaker 5: Well, this has been going on. He can't really just
- 29:13Speaker 5: blame it on the Aven Newsom. I mean, it's been
- 29:15Speaker 5: going on for thirty years. They keeps talking about how
- 29:17Speaker 5: they're going to build all these transit systems. And you know,
- 29:20Speaker 5: anybody who's been to La knows that people in La
- 29:23Speaker 5: like to drive their car. They don't want they don't
- 29:25Speaker 5: want to go into a subway. And so they have,
- 29:28Speaker 5: you know, they've built these trains and these and then
- 29:31Speaker 5: they had the train to nowhere where they're going to build,
- 29:32Speaker 5: for thirty five billion dollars a train from Los Angeles
- 29:36Speaker 5: to San Francisco, which is a good idea, except they
- 29:38Speaker 5: couldn't do it, and so insta it's costing thirty five billion.
- 29:42Speaker 5: It was going to cost one hundred and thirty billion dollars. Whoops,
- 29:44Speaker 5: we missed it a little bit, and it wasn't going
- 29:46Speaker 5: to go to Los Angeles and it wasn't going to
- 29:49Speaker 5: start at San Francisco. So but now they're trying to
- 29:52Speaker 5: build one of those people movers at the airport because
- 29:54Speaker 5: they have the Olympics coming in, they got the Super
- 29:56Speaker 5: Bowl next year to Da DA and they just can't
- 29:58Speaker 5: get the thing literally really and figuratively off the ground.
- 30:02Speaker 5: And that's the incompetence of what goes on in California.
- 30:05Speaker 5: By the way, anybody's flown in, I don't know if
- 30:07Speaker 5: you've recently flown into lax, but it is the biggest
- 30:11Speaker 5: nightmare getting in and out of that airport. Takes an
- 30:14Speaker 5: hour at least just to get out of the airport
- 30:16Speaker 5: because of all the traffic. And they tried to have
- 30:18Speaker 5: the people mover, but it hasn't. It hasn't moved any.
- 30:21Speaker 1: People a people mover.
- 30:23Speaker 12: How hard is that?
- 30:24Speaker 1: It's just like a belt right, Yeah.
- 30:27Speaker 5: I don't know. You'd have to ask back question, why
- 30:30Speaker 5: can't they get this thing up because they also have
- 30:32Speaker 5: the World Cup coming. I mean, so that was a
- 30:35Speaker 5: lot of this was contingent on Okay, get this people
- 30:37Speaker 5: mover to work, and it's they you know, it's cost overruns.
- 30:40Speaker 5: And I mean my guide California makes New York look
- 30:43Speaker 5: well run.
- 30:44Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, in Las Vegas and the Belage, if
- 30:47Speaker 1: they wanted a people mover, it'd be there in three days,
- 30:49Speaker 1: it'd be installed exactly.
- 30:53Speaker 5: Well, maybe it's you know, you have that's the difference
- 30:55Speaker 5: frankly between private sector financed in public sector financed infrastructure.
- 30:59Speaker 5: It really is. And you know, the the we have
- 31:02Speaker 5: an The other point that you know, I want to
- 31:04Speaker 5: make you is we've got an incredible investment boom going
- 31:07Speaker 5: on right now, two hundred billion dollars system the last
- 31:10Speaker 5: month going into AI, robotics, satellite tech, all these new
- 31:14Speaker 5: technologies were really blowing away the rest of the world.
- 31:17Speaker 5: About eighty percent of the new investment is happening here
- 31:20Speaker 5: in the USA. But that's an example of private investment.
- 31:24Speaker 5: You know, the gleft likes to talk about public investment,
- 31:27Speaker 5: but my gosh, they can't. A lot of these people
- 31:29Speaker 5: like Gavin Newsoman couldn't. And by the way, Mondamini, for
- 31:32Speaker 5: that matter, couldn't run a three car parade. Well.
- 31:35Speaker 1: Steve Moore, always great having you on. Excellent stuff. Now
- 31:38Speaker 1: everybody subscribe the daily newsletter, The Briefing, News Analysis. You'll
