- 1:26[SPEAKER_02]: So go enjoy.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_02]: This is a big podcast because there are a few things going on.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_02]: First, an overall conversation about the draft.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_02]: Second, I'm going to put a couple.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_02]: I've done several interviews on YouTube about players.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not going to put them all in here, but I'm going to put a couple in here.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_02]: Um, not, I'm not picking like the most important player necessarily, but I think a couple of the best conversations.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_02]: One is which is with the head coach of Louisiana football, Michael Dezermo, the 49ers took one of his guys, Jayden Dugger in the fifth round, and it, um,
- 2:10[SPEAKER_02]: The reason I want to play it is not just because, not because I think you're most interested in Jane Dugger, but we just talk a lot about, he talks a lot about the evolution of the X's and O's to defense right now as part of the conversation about Dugger.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_02]: So I think even if you're not like, oh, I got to hear about Jane Dugger, I think that I think that conversation is really interesting.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_02]: And then the other guy that's in here,
- 2:31[SPEAKER_02]: actually a nighter fan grew up in the Bay Area, Michael Swain, he's been on the four camera a couple years ago when the eye was drafted.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_02]: Dominic Pune, because he covers Kansas, but he had some interesting things to say about Enrique Cruz.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_02]: There's more stuff on the YouTube channel.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_02]: If you want to hear, I thought I really enjoyed the conversation with Tyler Colmes.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_02]: about Dejan, dribbling, Tom Green, really good from Oklahoma.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_02]: He covered Grace and Halton, who's a very interesting prospect.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_02]: That's on the YouTube channel.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_02]: And then Gailin Clavio, who talked about the running back, Kailin Black, great coverage of Indiana football.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_02]: That's on the YouTube channel.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_02]: I just didn't want to pack it all in here.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to spray them out on the podcast feed as individual shows.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_02]: I guess I could do that.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_02]: But, um,
- 3:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, I don't, I don't know the best way to do it, but that's the way I'm doing it today.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_02]: So anyway, first up, big picture conversation from Sunday and then a couple of the interviews.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, before we get to the overall big picture topic of the draft, I do want to give you two pieces of intel on the two Washington players, the 49ers draft and Carver Willis and Ephesians price sock.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_02]: I haven't made videos about them on on YouTube yet, but my text did a couple of people within the Washington football program coaching staff.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_02]: Carver Willis is a great kid said one great energy can play up and down the line physical great athlete for a size and we run the exact same scheme so that doesn't hurt either another coach on the staff said perfect fit he's plug and play we love coach forster on priceok the common I got back was he greatly improved every year we had him he sucks foot for and plays like it so that's great he's a corner obviously jet fish
- 4:18[SPEAKER_02]: very NFL familiar head coach.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, part of the deal with him going back to at Arizona with his first head coaching job was We're going to prepare you for we're going to prepare to be pros.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, they it's important for them to have a pipeline there And not just that doesn't just mean a pipeline of players that means a pipeline of coaches.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_02]: One other thing I wanted to share in the spirit of guy football focus
- 4:45[SPEAKER_02]: I want to share the great on my five and a half month old Saturday nap performance.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_02]: He took an app at 1126 on Saturday.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_02]: They three of the NFL draft.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_02]: He woke up at 1143 that's 16 minutes.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_02]: He then slept again from 311 to 341.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_02]: That's 30 minutes.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_02]: And then he took a nap at 605.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_02]: We'll cook at 623.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_02]: These are all unofficially sponsored by Nanette.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_02]: You know, on the GFF scale, which is some of your familiar, the same as the PFF scale, that's a minus 1.5 performance.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_02]: That is almost, it's not a minus 2, but because he slapped, and the 30 minutes kind of, if that 30 was a 15, but a minus 1.5, and we're talking about a collective hour of anapping, a collective three hours in the crib, and that is just historically
- 5:42[SPEAKER_02]: You know, most I'm recording this podcast on a Sunday as he naps.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_02]: He's going to big bounce back day here in the in the Haberman house.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_02]: All right, then I just take a lot of heat for this draft publicly, but also not like it's there's so as I like to say there's eight I don't have an updated this number since I started saying this eight billion people on the earth so you can find a lot of opinions I think a lot of the positive opinions that you see or specific right like Nate ties or Ted went or these guys like I like this player or I like this player or I like that player and then a lot of the criticism has been global.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_02]: a lot of it stemming from that K-Lon black pick, the running back in the end of that people felt like was way over drafted based on kind of where the consensus was.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_02]: And so I want to address a few of those things and I'll try to thread the needle here because I do feel like, you know, I'm a modern on this topic.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_02]: I think there's some really legitimate criticisms and I think there's some areas to push back.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_02]: So,
- 6:41[SPEAKER_02]: uh, let's dive into that.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_02]: And the core complaint, right, being these guys don't understand draft value.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_02]: So let's let's talk about it and by the end, you can tell me that I thread the needle and and uh, accept some of the right criticisms and push back on on some of the ones that I don't agree with, right?
- 6:58[SPEAKER_02]: So I think the first thing is, you know,
- 7:02[SPEAKER_02]: We spend so much time preparing for this draft publicly.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_02]: It's me, you, that's the idea and fans, that is the public, the civils, the civilians, that this idea of a public draft board comes together.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_02]: People would have loved, and I think part of this is like, a lot of you watch this feeling.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't get anybody that I wanted.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_02]: I never heard of that guy or whatever.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_02]: The guy I wanted went there.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_02]: Um, this goes back.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_02]: I think the the moment you really think about is the Ricky Pierce all draft for like a lot of people wanted Cooper Dachine and then it's turned out Cooper Dachine's a really good player and he wins a super bowl and you took Ricky Pierce all and he's shown flashes.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_02]: But has not had the year that the couple years that you'd want, especially the last year, right, fully healthy coming in the year.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_02]: So anyway, but like people would have loved Denzel Boston, the first round, that would have felt like value, right?
- 7:56[SPEAKER_02]: A manual, make Neil Warren, the safety from Toledo.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_02]: That would have felt like value at 27, because that's where the mocks had them.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_02]: But those guys weren't close to first round, it turned out Denzel Boston went at 39.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_02]: early second round.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_02]: But that's not almost the first round or somebody could have had him at 33 or 34.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody was moving.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_02]: The safety went 58.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_02]: So I just want to point out that, like, if you had taken him at 207, people had been like, yeah, he was in all the mocks.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_02]: There was two safeties in the first round, Deanum and Formorghen and McNill Warren from Toledo.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_02]: And then he goes 58th.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_02]: So like to me, that's a very specific for Daenerys example of an air where the public mocks certainly can be excite insightful.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_02]: But, and I said this before the draft, you know, you do a bunch of mock drafts, you read a bunch like Dale Jeremiah, there's a ton of clues in DJ's drafts, but not all 32 picks have a clue, you know, and I bet if we got them on the show, and maybe we will,
- 8:56[SPEAKER_02]: between now and the season, DJ, Daniel Jeremiah.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_02]: And said, hey, do you really think because his last mock had then I was taking Denzel Boston, 27, do you really think that I was taking Denzel Boston, 27?
- 9:04[SPEAKER_02]: I bet he'd say no.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_02]: I said this before the draft.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_02]: Caleb Lomo, no thank you.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_02]: And Denzel Boston, no thank you.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_02]: Well, the nighters could have taken both of them.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_02]: And they said no thank you.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_02]: And they said no thank you to Boston multiple times.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_02]: Will they be right?
- 9:16[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_02]: But
- 9:18[SPEAKER_02]: other people could have taken those guys to and didn't.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't think DJ thought that they were taking him and I don't know, there are a lot of mock drafts with Caleb Lomu that offensive line from Utah going to the honors, I don't know where that, where that honors floating that or was it just groupthink or because what I think happened was that it became clear to everybody really quickly in this particular year for the 49ers in 27 there was not an obvious pick.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that's why we saw mock drafts.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_02]: in the first round kind of all over the place and people, you know, they want to trade back and people at least correctly identify that.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_02]: So let's talk about where the critics are right and where they're wrong about consensus boards.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_02]: Because I think if we're being intellectually honest, when we talk about consensus boards, we're not talking about the public boards.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_02]: We're not talking about Dane Broubler and Dale Jeremiah and Todd McShay and Mel Kiper and you and me on the ESPN.com, mock draft, they're a PFF or whatever.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_02]: because where the critics are right, is that part of the job is figuring out the real internal consensus around the league, which like the Eagles knew it, the Eagles knew we better go get my Kylamin'.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe they knew who's on the phone, the Steelers, maybe they didn't.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_02]: You know, the agent can call the Eagles, I mean, like, hey guys, I know you want them.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_02]: The Steelers are about taking me to move up.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I could happen.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think that's what happened because it all happened so quickly, but it could happen.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_02]: But the Eagles are a team that, you know,
- 10:43[SPEAKER_02]: You have to understand how the league thinks about players.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_02]: To know the chiefs, when they moved out to get Patrick Mahomes, I mentioned this the other night.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_02]: But there was a great story, I don't know, before the draft that we could do before the draft about how Sean Peyton was taking Patrick Mahomes.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_02]: He was gonna be the New Orleans Saints quarterback and then the chiefs jumped ahead of him.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_02]: and took them.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_02]: So like, you know, you got to know, can we move back 10 spots to get our guy?
- 11:10[SPEAKER_02]: Do we need to move up three spots to get our guy?
- 11:12[SPEAKER_02]: That's a very fair thing to grade general managers on.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_02]: And that is about understanding the league consensus.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_02]: Not, you know, when we talk about consensus boards, it's not about public mock drafts or it's about understanding what the league
- 11:36[SPEAKER_02]: And at the other part of this is the criticism, for the lives goes back multiple years.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_02]: This year though, I think it's worth pointing out, I don't think there was much of a internal consensus board, right?
- 11:48[SPEAKER_02]: So like,
- 11:51[SPEAKER_02]: And if you didn't read it, go read it, but to understand kind of some of this, the war in sharp article is like the last four years now has been near the bottom of drafting value based on the consensus board, and it's like their consensus board, right?
- 12:07[SPEAKER_02]: But he's saying our consensus board is probably the same.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's the same as the Lee consensus board, and I think there's probably some truth to it.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_02]: But in this year,
- 12:18[SPEAKER_02]: This particular year, I don't think there's much of a consensus big board.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_02]: I, you know, maybe in most years, it all kind of lines up for a couple rounds.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_02]: I bet this year, the quote unquote consensus board within the league, if we could really see one, if we saw all 32 teams big boards.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_02]: 20 picks.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the Vikings and the first round took Caleb Banks from Florida, that was one of the least valuable picks.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_02]: It's shocked everybody, but they're thinking he fits in with Brian Flores, you know, I talked to a guy with a team who said they saw a player drafted in the second round.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, what's the talking about the nine-erspick, but he said, we saw a player drafted in the second round that we on our board had as an undrafted free agent.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_02]: So I think this draft in particular was all over the map.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_02]: You're doing your own thing this year, and we kind of knew that going in.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_02]: Now to to some of the Warrens sharp stuff, he, I want to start with first thing first.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_02]: I think he, I think he misreads Lynch a little bit specifically, I just want to address the comment because Grant Cohen asked Lynch, basically your draft board seems to deviate from consensus.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_02]: So like, how can you be confident you do in the right thing?
- 13:30[SPEAKER_02]: And Lynch's answer was, well, it depends on who's consensus.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_02]: We've got a consensus in the building, and that's the consensus I care about.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_02]: And Warren Sharp was critically said, well, that's a lot of profato in that answer, thinking you're smarter than everybody else.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I don't think that's John's nature, obviously he's a confident guy, but Lynch, I think it's a stretch to call that profato.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it is honest, like he can only trust their own board.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_02]: And that board is built on scouting from a lot of people.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_02]: It's built on what the coaching staff thinks.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_02]: When they watch tape, it's built on what the front office wants
- 14:00[SPEAKER_02]: So I just, first thing, just flag that aside from all the other stuff, whether you think the rest of it is legit.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I, I would disagree a little bit calling that bravado.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_02]: It's fair to criticize.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not saying it's not fair to criticize, but I think bravado is a, paints it as a little more arrogant than it.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_02]: It's just like, hey, this is how, now you can say, like, you miscaluate players, you misvalue players.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_02]: If that's the criticism fine, but I don't think you're saying we're smarter than everybody else.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and the other thing I've noticed is here is it's all, it is all like, oh, it's John Lynch's board.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_02]: John Lynch's decisions.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_02]: Do you think John Lynch is drafting guys without Kyle Shannon's input or approval?
- 14:39[SPEAKER_02]: Do you think this coaching staff, Kyle Shannon's coaching staff, a lot of veteran coaches don't have significant input.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_02]: We hear about them all the time.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_02]: I'll smart there.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_02]: Bobby turned to the running backs coach, you know, he's free to sub running backs here there without Kyle saying, Robert solid and have input on defense.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_02]: You think for him, Morris doesn't have input on defense.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_02]: Ramello height, without reheemores or the defensive line coach, Chris Casserrick wanting that guy, you think if Chris Casserrick said, no, I don't want that guy.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_02]: The scouts were like, no, we love this guy.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_02]: And John Lynch is like, I'm drafting this guy.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_02]: And Kyle Shannon says, Casserrick's like punch and shanning the shoulder like, do not take this guy.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_02]: You think they're taking Ramello height, no chance.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_02]: Like, so the point is just, again, if Lynch is the GM and that part of the job is taking these arrows.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_02]: there's no way they're taken or a mellow height.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_02]: If those guys don't want them.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_02]: You know the funny thing about that pick is by the consensus ratings, Roe Mellow Height was actually a value pick according to the consensus sports.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_02]: And it might be my least favorite pick.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_02]: Like we should do a pool.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_02]: Who plays on this draft?
- 15:50[SPEAKER_02]: Who's played the most snap three years from now?
- 15:52[SPEAKER_02]: Now, that's actually not a great example because like you would just have, I think you could probably naturally say the running back is gonna play the least or somebody further in the draft, like they just, they need pass rushers.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_02]: So, Ramello Heights probably gonna play a lot, but like, I'll be, I'm not gonna say pleasantly surprised.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I will be pleasantly surprised if he's like a major impact player.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_02]: Now, are you getting major impact players even at the end of the first round?
- 16:23[SPEAKER_02]: We talked about that the other day.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_02]: But like there's no way less need drafts, tie Simpson in the first round without Shawn McGrays against his wishes.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_02]: Zero chance.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_02]: And K-Lon Black isn't going at 90 if Kyle's trying to end doesn't want him.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_02]: He may be, he may be going at 90 because Kyle's trying to hand-wants him.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, he's the final decision maker.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_02]: He respects lanes, he respects the scouts, respects the coaches.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_02]: And this is part of the deal when you have a coach who has the final say right because coaches tend to draft from like a final output standpoint for good about draft value I like this guy I can one of them now or I can't He fits my scheme that's why people say you shouldn't let coaches be too close to the draft sometimes because the personnel guys job is to slot the board
- 17:15[SPEAKER_02]: The best combination is here's a guy with a unique talent.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_02]: Can we work together to find a way to get him on the field to succeed?
- 17:21[SPEAKER_02]: And I think the perfect example last year is the one that really hurts his Nicki Man award from Seattle.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_02]: Like how does one of the most unique players in the league?
- 17:29[SPEAKER_02]: Clearly, one of the best in that draft.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_02]: Like I think you'd probably argue, he's easily a top, I mean, easily a top four, maybe a top two, maybe number one.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_02]: to hide Campbell, like defensive rookies from 2020 from last year, but he's one of the most unique players in the league.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_02]: How does he go 35th, right?
- 17:54[SPEAKER_02]: That one's a combination of coaching and drafting, the front office founding unique piece, and the coach has found a spot for him.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_02]: They had Devon with her spoon.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_02]: He's the starting nickel, and then pretty quickly, they were like, we cannot take him and worry off the field, so they adapted, and they moved with her spoon outside.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, that's the scary thing about Seattle.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, oh, the GM's really good.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_02]: And they've kind of got some synergy here.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_02]: Now, you get a, they won the championship, too.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_02]: They've got the Super Bowl now under their belt.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_02]: It's been a Lucifer Kyle.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_02]: So once you win the Super Bowl, you can't say, well, you gotta, Mike McDonald, you gotta keep proven it, because you do, now you get extensions on future performance, but they got the ring.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_02]: Rams got the ring, Eagles got the rings at Hertz.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_02]: Now, in fairness to the critics, this does come, you know, with a track record of a lot of, it's not just this year in a bubble, right?
- 18:43[SPEAKER_02]: And it's, the K-Long Black one is particularly triggering because of the running backs, the running back history, trace sermon, tight-avise price, you go back to Joe Williams, Isaac Rendo, Elijah Mitchell had success during James Hunoz, didn't really play last year.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_02]: But if you'd like really believed in him
- 19:05[SPEAKER_02]: same to get receiver, you know, and they've they've obviously hit on I.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_02]: You, D. Boe, but the ones that come back when you get a guy, Dante Pettis, Jalen Hur, Danny Gray, Cam Latu is not a receiver, but that one of me, it was like, oh, Jacob, Jacob Cowling, haven't haven't seen him.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_02]: Jordan Watkins, like, Latu, I use him as an example that you saw him in me.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_02]: It was like, I guess, not ready.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_02]: That's developmental.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_02]: But when he was healthy, he looked like he was going to be able to contribute.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't quite know what category to put him in.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_02]: But at the end of the day, you're either on the field or not.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, they don't, they don't do the Roseman thing, which is jumping way up for a sweet player.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_02]: And that's just the thing that gets everybody fired up.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_02]: So they don't, how he's not doing it to fire people up.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_02]: But I do think how he kind of, he's a great combo because he has a
- 20:04[SPEAKER_02]: And it's been a while since they've had a home run pick, right?
- 20:07[SPEAKER_02]: Poonie was an immediate starter in 2024, but not a home run, 23 no home runs, 22, Brock in the seventh obviously, it's home run.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_02]: I loved it.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't see Drake Jackson on the sharp list, so I don't maybe he was value.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_02]: God, that one didn't work out.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_02]: I thought that one might.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_02]: So, but anyway, how is one of the best
- 20:34[SPEAKER_02]: You know, how it gets all the credit and deserves it.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_02]: That guy, he wouldn't have just that thumbs up.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_02]: That guy's a wizard and he's got two super balls with two different coaches and two different quarterbacks and that can't be diminished.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_02]: And also the nighters beat the Eagles last year the wild court ran on the road.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_02]: You know, so I do, I would take issue with some of some of the guys on Warren's list.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_02]: And I think he'd be like, okay, you nitpick a couple guys but the overall point is a point fine but like, I'll nitpick a couple of guys.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_02]: Was an overdraft and then used him as an example of a guy that hasn't performed based on his his PFF grade.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_02]: I would say eyeball test like I think they it's a very promising pick.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_02]: So I like that pick.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_02]: You know Renardo Green has been more of an up and down a kind of roller coaster and he was You know out of 114 corners 93rd in coverage 90 second overall in PFF
- 21:29[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I thought he might be persona non grata after some of the mistakes he made last year.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody played more snaps than Ronaldo Green in the win against the Eagles though.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_02]: He played the third most snaps on defense on a 12-point team.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that counts for something.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_02]: And again, I'm not running into the mat to defend Ronaldo Green here.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_02]: You know, we said all for Collins was buried and a revolving door of Delimon.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he played the most snaps among interior delinemen last year on the team.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_02]: Only price off in San Michael wanted to play the more snaps on defense period.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_02]: So that Eagles game, mocked Mustafa, they draft, diameter or linore, they draft, Ronald Green, they draft.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_02]: Those guys played the most snaps on defense in that game.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_02]: Uptonstout played the most snaps of any non-starter.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_02]: Like I think if you're watching this, I'd be curious in the comments.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_02]: clearly to me trending in the right direction.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_02]: So winning games counts for something here.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_02]: But there's, you know, real criticism, fair, track record, fair, process matters, process matters, even the results are good.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_02]: Like even when the results are good, you still got to go, well, is the process good?
- 22:50[SPEAKER_02]: Because if we can still make the process better, maybe win more games.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_02]: So the argument, I'm not making the argument, they're like, well,
- 23:00[SPEAKER_02]: because the reality is you're always trying to do it better.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_02]: And you can't really do it.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_02]: We win Trump card thing after getting blown on by 35.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_02]: But I see OX, who have drafted really well.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_02]: But I guess my main point here is the idea that it's all John Lange making haphazard solo decisions and that public mocks, especially this year, that's where the value is.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_02]: Warren like that guy or Denzel Boston I can't get all I can never get in manuals three names right so the McNeil Warren, but like the that guy If he'd gone in the first round people would be like, see I that's where I had him.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_02]: You know, yeah, you can't I don't think he used all that stuff as an example that these guys are stooches when they are winning a lot more games than most people around the way
- 23:58[SPEAKER_02]: But they also have made, you know, a lot of draft, actually made 11 draft picks.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_02]: Like, those guys need to be a part of the future, the 40 honors.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_02]: Couple of these guys need to hit.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_02]: Now, look, you hit on the receiver this year.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_02]: Dacia on Stribbling right away makes an impact.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_02]: One of these offensive linemen rotates in.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it just takes a couple of hits to kind of change some perception, but there's no, the nighters do, I get it like, just from the perceptions standpoint, you need to get some of that equity back from a draft from the draft.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_02]: There's no question.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_02]: But I also don't necessarily think this is the year in this particular draft to talk about consensus.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_02]: You know, and I think a lot of this is the pile up of Jake Moody and all the running backs and a lot of the receivers, you know, you've looked for splashy athletic guys on defense like Nick Martin and Drake Jackson and it hasn't, but it's like some of these guys you don't get a little production from, you get no production from.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_02]: Back to back receivers, you get excited about, and you never see them on the field in counting and walk in.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_02]: So, okay, I don't know if I thread that needle of, I'm not dismissive of this criticism.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_02]: I hope that's clear.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_02]: And also, I think this year talking about consensus boards
- 25:37[SPEAKER_02]: is, I'm not using the word unfair.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_02]: I don't like the word fair unfair, because it's not, that's not what it is.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_02]: They just badly need some hits, like some big hits, because we're seeing the cheese, the cheese won a championship, I think, because of it.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_02]: The second one, because of it, how deep their team was from the draft, and clearly Seattle did too.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_02]: So, anyway.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_02]: I like the receiver, texting people like they like dribbling.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_02]: And here's, I like K-Lon black.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, but there's only so many times you can say the same thing you say about Jake Moody.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_02]: If it works, who cares about value?
- 26:18[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it's like, well, then, if you're gonna do that, it needs to work, it needs to work.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_02]: All right, now I'm gonna get to a couple of the interviews.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_02]: First up, here is Louisiana Head Football Coach, Michael Desermo,
- 26:28[SPEAKER_02]: talking about Jaden Dugger and the big picture of the X's and O's of defensive football.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_02]: We are going straight to the top for Intel on the 49ers fifth round pick, pick 154, Jaden Dugger, linebacker from Louisiana.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_02]: I try to get it right coach.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_02]: It's Louisiana, right?
- 26:48[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not Louie, you know, we are here.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_02]: We say Louisiana.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_02]: I want to
- 26:51[SPEAKER_01]: Make the pins on you talk to you.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_01]: You talk to somebody really from South Louisiana.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_01]: My dad says Louisiana every time.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, you know, the depends on who you talk to.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_02]: Michael Desamo is the head coach of the Rage and Cages and had had a spring game today and still making time.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_02]: So we appreciate it.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_02]: I know it's because you're fired up for for Jaden Dugger.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_02]: What did you think?
- 27:11[SPEAKER_02]: I worry on the field when you were you're off the field already, but just what was your reaction to finding out he got drafted by the
- 27:17[SPEAKER_01]: We're in the middle of recruiting meetings after, so we have, you know, you have visitors when you have practices and spring and all that stuff.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_01]: And we actually got a couple good commitments that they actually went a quarterback committed today while we were in the office.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_01]: I got the text came through while we were in the office.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_01]: So the office was going nuts and, you know, I had a bunch of guys that had been on staff.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_01]: They weren't here anymore.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_01]: That were reaching out texting about them.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_01]: I think, you know, James just an easy kid to pull for, man, like, you know,
- 27:47[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he was a, he was just a fun kid to have around man.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_01]: He came in here every day, smiling his face, work really hard.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_01]: So those are the types of people you pull for, but yeah, it was a heck of a, a good, good surprise, you know, in the middle of doing some of these eggs and meetings and recruiting to find out that he, he got his name called.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_02]: What's the story to take us through his career with you and, and why he means so much to.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so it's, you know, we recruit a pretty small footprint here and, you know, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is way outside of that outside of that footprint, you know, and we don't take a lot of transfers.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_01]: So it's kind of a rarity, J. was coming from, it was in the portal from Georgetown and, um,
- 28:30[SPEAKER_01]: guy in our staff named Ricky Chaconie who, you know, he was with us, he's, you know, did a really good job.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_01]: He's at Iowa State now.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_01]: He was at Toledo and they recruited Jay not high school and when Jay went in the portal, he's like, look, I know how you are.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_01]: You want some type of connection to these portal guys.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, I love this kid, love the family.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_01]: He goes, we ended up not taking him at Toledo.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_01]: Always thought he could play here.
- 28:53[SPEAKER_01]: He goes, don't really know what he is.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_01]: Kind of a tweener.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_01]: He goes, he plays safety at Georgetown.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_01]: He's just got to keep in mind.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_01]: He goes, he's probably about six, four.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_01]: So he's watching the tape and the guy's this productive, he plays kind of the rovers safety and the three safety deal and he's running around.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_01]: He's ranging, he's tackling, making plays and it's like he can tell he's really long.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, man, you know, it's a unique piece and I don't, you know, today's game such a hybrid game.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think you can have enough of these unique kind of hybrid players.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_01]: So we, we bring him down here for a visit and he shows up and he's, you know, 65 and he's long and he's, you know, still a thin.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_01]: He's probably too 20 at the time.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_01]: But really just kind of fell in love with the person as much as anything, you know, just.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, I want to go somewhere where football is important.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I want to be pushed.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_01]: I want to be challenged.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, you're going to be challenged.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you're not going to play safety here.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we've got to figure out kind of what you are.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_01]: the first year here, you know, he was all in, you know, jumped in, first year here, played him outside linebacker, but we had a pretty good room there, and, you know, we used them and he made some big plays and critical moments, and going as senior years, like, look, need you to trust me again here, you know, we're going to move you to insidebacker, you know, we got to get you on the field more, you know, outsidebacker, we only played
- 30:15[SPEAKER_01]: You know, just need you to trust us.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_01]: I think this could be a good move for you.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, he sat in here, he's like, you know, yes, sir, you know, I mean, just whatever you need.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_01]: And it was fun to see him develop, you know, I mean, I think if you watch him from the beginning to the end of the year, you can see how much progress he made naturally.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, he's long, he can run.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_01]: He hits, he's really smart.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_01]: I think the best is ahead of him.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the guy's only played linebacker for one year, but he's got a tremendous skill set.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_01]: He's got the length that you want.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_01]: to me, I think it's kind of fun if you're in an organization.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_01]: You get a guy that, you know, really, I don't think you've begun to scratch the surface and what he's going to be.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't have a lot of bad habits because he had been coached for very long at it.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, you kind of get to make them what you want them.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_01]: Now he's not too 20 anymore, right?
- 31:00[SPEAKER_01]: He's like 240, five years ago.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_01]: It was 250 now.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_01]: He just, you know, it's just, it's been, you know, Louisiana, I put some, put some weight on them a little bit.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, he got real serious in the, in the weight room and the offseason stuff.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_01]: And, yeah, I mean, they show you, played it about 242, 245.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_01]: I think when he came for Prode, I think he was around 250, lean, long, looked really good.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's one of those guys, he's 250, he probably looks like he's 220 still, but, you know, he's, I don't know, he's just one of those guys that you, you, you're really proud because he jumped in whatever he asked them to do and he was willing to do it.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_01]: You know, that's a guy you pull for.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_01]: You want to see it pay all for him.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_02]: You know, so it's somebody who did not go.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_02]: I did not attend a power five school, although I've done a lot of power four football broadcasting, and I love it.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_02]: But over the years, and you and I were talking before we started, like there's so much pride that comes at every institution.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_02]: Ohio State's pride there are guys too.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_02]: But when you get a third round or a second round or a first round and I was watching the first round of the draft,
- 32:00[SPEAKER_02]: in the first two days of the draft, I think they were like two non-power foreguys.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_02]: The FCS guys, it took a long time, just not because they didn't start there, just because they don't finish there.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_02]: So for any draftable player, particularly guy in the fifth round, I would imagine there probably were some some opportunity or a potential opportunity for him to go into the portal last year and go up a level, was that part of the story with him?
- 32:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, I think it's always part of the story.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_01]: He's kind of unique for us because last couple years, we've had quite a few drafts that we say were developed in the culture and finished somewhere else and got drafted.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_01]: So he actually came to us from Georgetown.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_01]: And you got to give them credit for finding the guy.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, I mean, going to his senior year, he was no secret what happens now.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, when you play good, you have a lot of people reaching out.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_01]: You know, which is not really the way supposed to be, but it is what it is and, you know, I met, I meet with these guys at the end of the year and set down the talk to them, it's like, you know, kind of what's your plan here?
- 33:03[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I know there's a lot of stuff going on.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_01]: And you kind of sat there, looked at me.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, you know, you're playing when coming back.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_01]: And he was like, yeah, like, you know, kind of why would not come back?
- 33:15[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, well, I'm sorry, I mean, I was question, I got to ask, you know what comes up?
- 33:18[SPEAKER_01]: So the thing that I talked to him about
- 33:23[SPEAKER_01]: You need to play more for us.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_01]: Like we got to put you in position to impact the game more.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_01]: And the move to linebacker allows us to do that.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_01]: It puts you in a rotation with a bunch of guys that, you know, we had lost two linebackers from the year before that started.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_01]: It was wide open.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_01]: You've got to play experience, play history.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_01]: You know the defense at a different spot.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_01]: This is an opportunity for you to step in.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_01]: and really impact this team play a lot of plays.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, the thing he told me is like, you know, I'm happy here.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_01]: I really like it here.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, you know, if you tell me, I'm gonna get to play more, it's even better.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, so, you know, what do we got to do from here?
- 34:00[SPEAKER_01]: So it was like, well, just, you know, start meeting in the other room.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_01]: And he had one request, he wanted to change his number.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_01]: I said, done.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_01]: So that was easy.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_01]: He just, he wanted to change his number three.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_01]: I said, well, that's easy to do for a long time.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I mean, you're grateful for you guys
- 34:15[SPEAKER_01]: I think our staff does a really good job.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_01]: We coach him really hard, but we treat the kids really good.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_01]: And Dougher was one that from the day he got here was like an instant fit.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we mess with him all the time being from Pittsburgh.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_01]: Most of our kids are from, like I said, I mean, about four hours from here.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_01]: So we mess with him a lot from being up north, but he could take, he wore pretty good.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_01]: And he could dish it back out.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_01]: So it was just an easy fit for him.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, I think it's a head coach, you know, how hard you work, you know, hard you push the kids to work.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_01]: When you know guys are happy and they appreciate what you do and you know they're happy where they're at, that's really what you want.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_01]: it's always going to be hard work, but you know, you want them to enjoy where they're at and you want them to enjoy what they get to do every day.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, those PA guys seem to be able to fit in in any football culture, I think, right?
- 35:06[SPEAKER_01]: Like, yeah, he was for sure.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, we might need to get to PA more often because he, yeah, I mean, he came in and it was, it was all about it, so it was, it was good.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_02]: It is interesting and I'm not, you know, I'm not a tactician by any stretch, but just watching the game,
- 35:22[SPEAKER_02]: You know, the amount of times that you see sort of like that big nickel, three linebackers rarely on the field.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_02]: And I know you're busy, and we don't even know quite exactly what this 40-andres defense is going to look like.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_02]: Rahim Morris comes over from Atlanta and maybe there'll be some more five-man fronts and that sort of thing.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_02]: So to whatever degree you watch, the NFL game, how do you think he fits in in the NFL?
- 35:46[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think, again, I think it's the versatility of it, right?
- 35:49[SPEAKER_01]: You know, so his first year with us, he played on the edge, and I think a lot of the teams were like, well, you know, that's pretty intriguing, you know, six, five long arms, you know, he could rush.
- 35:59[SPEAKER_01]: He's got good pastrace abilities, got that on tape.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_01]: I think I like about it is he can play inside back or so you can get to these we call him cubs front you know these five man fronts out of a four out of a a four man front defense you know where you can slide the front over and you can get him on the edge and he can rush the passer from the edge you can play off the edge
- 36:17[SPEAKER_01]: He's got a safety background, so in the past drops, he understands coverage really well.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_01]: He's got a really fluid hips.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_01]: He's really smooth, you know, and then like I said, he's got a whole year under his belt of plane in the box.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_01]: So I just think there's a lot of different things you can do.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_01]: To me, you're always better whenever you can get into different looks without having to change personnel.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_01]: You know, when you can play an odd front with four down people where you can play a foreman front without, you know, with odd personnel.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_01]: That's where people start to get you when they know what personnel are grouping you're in there and hey, every time this guy comes in, they're going to odd.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_01]: you can get to your odd play calls or this is the pressure they're running.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_01]: I think he gives you ability to be able to play multiple fronts, multiple defenses without having to switch personnel.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that's a luxury to have.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_01]: He's got a tool, he's got a tool built of a lot of different things that he's done over the years that, yeah, I think you can kind of make it what you want.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_01]: And I've had a bunch of the scouts throughout the process of asking, what do you think is best position is?
- 37:15[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, yeah, I really don't know.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_01]: I liked the Medinside linebacker because he was a real problem whenever he blitz at 240 pounds.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we plugged the B gap and he would knock off the combinations on the tight zones.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he could drop in coverage and then really, you know, whenever you get to 12 personnel stuff, we played a lot of a 4-3.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_01]: You could walk him up on the edge and he could play the 9-tech meat because he's done it before.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_01]: So, I liked the Medinside Backer.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think it allows them to be a more a bigger part of the game.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_01]: You can't really run away from them.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_01]: And for us, he did a really good job being a signal color.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_01]: Getting people lined up, getting them where they need to be, taking control of the defense.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_01]: So I think those are things where, to me, he's got a really unique skill set, and he can do a lot of things.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_01]: I think at inside lineback or though, it just allows them to impact the game a little bit more.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, you, I know you've had a little bit of a relationship with the 49ers.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_02]: Did you think the 49ers?
- 38:11[SPEAKER_02]: Did you have any inclination that the 49ers like them?
- 38:15[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, no.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_01]: Justin does a pretty good job.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_01]: He keeps it pretty close to the belt.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_01]: He, uh, usually, you know, sends me a text as they're making the draft pick.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_01]: He did it with Elijah Mitchell as well too when you all drafted Elijah a few years back.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_01]: Um, no, I mean, look, it's a really professional organization.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_01]: And I think they, they do a really good job, you know,
- 38:35[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that was even one of his top 30 visits to be honest with that.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if he went to San Francisco for a top 30 visit.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_01]: So they may call it him by surprise a little bit.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_01]: But our guys that have gone to San Francisco, I've loved the organization.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'm thankful they keep giving our guys a chance because our kids are tough and they do it the right way.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I think San Francisco's that type organization.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_01]: I tell people all the time if you want to see an offense where everybody, you know, you want to watch the real offense of football between the tight ends and the receivers, the way those guys block and play on the perimeter is fun to watch, you know, just the way those guys play, they play hard and they tough and, you know, I think that's, that's, you know, we pride ourselves on trying to play a physical brand of football here.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_02]: Have you guys a Justin chap chap it right one of the 40 matter scouts that you're talking about um have you guys had I'm just looking through draft history if you I'm trying to think if you had some undrafted free agents Sign with the 40 matters other than the trap boy.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to think I remember you know It's Elijah Mitchell obviously drafts a few years back and I don't dug her I want to say Tracy Walker when over there maybe last year two years ago as well Which Tracy was with the lions for a long time okay and one over there We haven't had a lot of free agents have gone out there though
- 39:52[SPEAKER_01]: But just until here all the time, I mean, he does a really good job, he does his due diligence, you know, what I would say is, you know, we give those guys the information that they asked for and they've got a decide what fits for them.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_01]: I've watched the 49ers a lot though.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_01]: Before I was a head coach, I was a Titans coach.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, with George Kittle and use check in those guys, I used to watch their games every week.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_01]: That's kind of what we would do in Coach Napier was here and you know, give them some run ideas and things like that.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_01]: I just think they do such a good job and scheming things up.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_01]: They're every week.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_01]: They've got a couple different run schemes that are in that are unique for the week and you watch and play.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_01]: We pulled a couple of things from there that we try to do and try to make fit us.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_01]: It's just, it's a fun brand of football that they play
- 40:40[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I just I've since Coach Shanna hands been there trying to just kind of follow in, you know, that offense and the way they do things it's something I think they do it at a really high level And it's fun to watch the way that they use the pieces that they have, you know, they've always got unique players and man, they always find a way to put them in position to make plays and do things.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's, you know, I think that's the name of the game right you try to find these unique pieces and you find a way to use them your advantage.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_01]: They do a great job of that on offense, you know, in particular from what I've seen over the years.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_02]: That's really cool.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you're in it, like, you know, the game.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_02]: I, you know, I just followed Dan Casey on Twitter, so I get to see when Colin.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_01]: He put some good stuff out there too.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't get a job.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_02]: But, you know, you see, like, Iowa the last few years have been using it in Minnesota uses, you know, you see these plays show up, but it's like, oh, this is, it's so much fun.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_02]: And obviously the Vikings and the Rams, and, you know, it's, everybody, but it's, it's, it's cool to watch you guys doing that.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_02]: And to hear you talk about it because, you know, we, we see it a lot, I think a lot of people out here see it from the managed perspective.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_02]: and to see other people put in their spin on it.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_01]: Football is a cool game, you know, because most of us have never, you know, come up with anything unique in and of itself, you know, you're kind of still things from different people that you fit, that you think fit what you do, and what you want to do, and, uh,
- 41:58[SPEAKER_01]: You know, there's there's always room to learn and I think that's one of the best things you can do every year.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_01]: You try to study some of these teams and try to figure out man like, you know, an offense that you like the way they play or maybe you have some players that at your level or similar to what they have right.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's where you get some ideas and you get some things from there.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_01]: We play with Titan.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_01]: We play with 11 or 12 person at all the time.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_01]: And like I said, the way they use their titans, I think is it's something that I've always, you know, like I said since I was a titans coach, it was like, man, this is, this is, you know, kind of how you want to use them and put them in those positions.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, they've got some pretty special guys I can do it.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_01]: But I mean, as coaches for the most part, that's all we do is still things from other people, you know, constantly watching film and constantly doing offseason studies and, you know, trying to find ways that people are having success, doing and you try to try to
- 42:59[SPEAKER_02]: I was, I mean, this isn't, this is, you just made me think of one of my favorite stories about the Bill Walsh West Coast Offences that, and you probably know the story that the motion was invented by accident, Walsh was coaching with the bangles, he was the offensive coordinator.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_02]: They were playing the Raiders, tied in, lined up in the wrong spot, scrambled, they moved them to the other spot.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_02]: They're watching film on like Monday or Tuesday and they're like, did you guys they they're all in the room together They look with the defense look what the defense just did and that's how motion came to be you know So like you steal it or you act you stumble into it.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't really matter, but it's
- 43:36[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't matter.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_01]: It'd be lucky to be good.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I subscribe to that.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, that's the fun part about it though.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_01]: You spend so much time watching it and trying to figure out the issues and how you can try to complicate things for the other side, while keeping it simple for your guys.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, motion obviously, I mean, that's become, that's what everybody does.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_01]: You know, shifts and motions and all these different things that happen.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's the, you know, that's kind of the game within the game.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_01]: Now it's how can you hide what you want to do.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_01]: how can you hide what you're trying to do and make them think you're doing something else, but just getting to essentially the base plays that you do and that you do well.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_01]: So, I think that's a lot of things happen by accident.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_01]: I think a lot of things happen because other people stumbled on them, but for us, we're constantly trying to figure out one thing we can add to it to make us a little better.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I know you got SC week two, and I'll look forward to that.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_02]: I look forward to watching you guys this year, and I look forward to seeing Jayden out there and camping.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_02]: I'll send you some updates, because although I'm sure you'll be getting them from the Niners, but you know, it's been really cool to learn about them today, Coach, so I appreciate you making time.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I appreciate you, you know, doing a story on on my, I can tell you, he's someone that that you guys are as an organization, you all are going to love.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_01]: He's a, he's going to represent organization with a lot of class.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to work really hard at everything that's going to do and he's a top class human being, you know, on top of a really good football player.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm, I'm excited.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to be a 49er and I look forward to look forward to continuing to follow his career and
- 45:13[SPEAKER_01]: And I'll certainly, he's someone that we're always going to be pulled for.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, sounds like an easy guy to root for.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_02]: He sure is.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_02]: All right, Coach, appreciate it.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks, Guy.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_02]: That was Michael Desermole from Louisiana.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_02]: Now, here's Michael Swain, who covers Kansas football that I undertook one of their guys in Rikai Cruz.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_02]: And here we go on that.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_02]: Pick 179 and Rikai Cruz Jr.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_02]: Three quarters inch arms, a sub five second 40, a 35 inch vert, and a familiar face to the channel.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_02]: Michael Swain was here, born and raised in the Bay Area, went to Bellerman, comes back to San Jose every year for Christmas, and was on the show last year because the Niners drafted Dominic Pony, not that you needed an excuse to watch the 40 diners every Sunday, Michael, but good to see you again, man.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, thank you, shut me on.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's funny how time flies feels like just yesterday we're talking.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_00]: I was in a hotel room that time this time finally at home.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_00]: So we can have a a bit maybe better set up for the talking about the the poondock it turned out.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, man, what did I say last year like two years ago.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, two years ago, but still what a traffic that's been.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_02]: immediate starter.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_02]: immediate starter right guard and they badly need it and they badly need a starter at left guard.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_02]: They don't need a starter at tackle right now.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_02]: All things that as a born and race for an elephant you already know, but give us your take, give us first your Kansas perspective.
- 46:45[SPEAKER_02]: You can play both hats today.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_02]: You can say, here's what I know about an Rika Cruz Jr. as a Kansas reporter.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_02]: And here's what I think about the fit as a 49er fan.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think, from a Kansas perspective, in Rieke, spent one year in Lawrence, he transferred in from Syracuse almost this time last year, exactly.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he had played a bit at Syracuse started a year and then with the transition of Frank Brown didn't play as much.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_00]: And so he was looking for a fresh start.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_00]: Kay, you needed a right tackle in the portal and they found and Rieke and it was one of those where sometimes you don't know what you're getting in the spring portal in college football just because things move fast and the guys that are leaving in the spring are leaving for a reason.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_00]: But when he got to campus, I think the coach quickly figured out that, oh, yeah, this kid can play.
- 47:27[SPEAKER_00]: And you really fits with KU wants, which I think is broadly kind of wide zone, which obviously, you know, Shanahan loves to run that scheme, broadly.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_00]: So he gets to KU, super athletic guy, and gets into a position battle right tackle, ends up winning it and has a really good season.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_00]: It was KU's best offensive lineman.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_00]: I think profile focus had him is the sixth best tackle in the big 12.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_00]: And if you consider both Utah's guys and some of the other tackles in the big 12, like this isn't to say, you know, this is good as the SEC, but it's still, there's a lot of tackle talent in the big 12.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_00]: And Enrique really did perform well.
- 48:03[SPEAKER_00]: And so you look at what he did at the combine testing wise, which was super impressive.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_00]: I wasn't expecting that.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_00]: for him to be the fastest guy in terms of top speed among the offensive tackles.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_00]: Like that's pretty impressive.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_00]: And obviously that's how you end up being a fifth round pick with Enrique's size, you know, he may be his most physically dominant, but man.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_00]: In terms of athleticism, he can really move.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that's the thing you look at for the 49ers.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_00]: That's pretty exciting.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_00]: And he can play both sides.
- 48:28[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he's played left tackles here.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_00]: He's played right tackles.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_00]: It cans this.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_00]: He can play both.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_00]: So he can definitely serve as a swing tackle and maybe with some development, you know, probably could be a guy.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_02]: They could start potentially 35 inch vertical at 313 pounds and the 49 for 40.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, those are those are really those are really good numbers.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_02]: Last year they rotated the left guard as they tend to do.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_02]: They had the big injury to Trent Williams in a critical game against Chicago, or going into that we got hurt in the Chicago game.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_02]: So Austin Pleasant started or played in that game.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_02]: So they always find themselves in these spots.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_02]: And they tend to find themselves in spots where like all of a sudden some rookie who maybe outside of Pune has got to play two or three games out of nowhere.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_02]: So that's where maybe some of these older players
- 49:26[SPEAKER_02]: like in Recay crews have a chance to make an immediate, I'm not going to say impact as a starter, but like understanding what you know about the night as offensive line situation, where do you see them?
- 49:35[SPEAKER_00]: Well, yeah, and you need depth, I think the thing that Enrique brings is versatility, right?
- 49:39[SPEAKER_00]: The bow tackles, I think the question is going to be, hey, how much are then a working at guard with the athleticism he has and just some of the natural size, maybe not as heavy as you'd like for a guard to be at times, but I think just you look at what the four guys need, it's like guys who can play in our versatile where you can have guys fill in multiple roles and
- 49:59[SPEAKER_00]: obviously mentioned trends injury and I'm not sure you'd want Enrique starting end of the season games at left tackle but sometimes you can't control that and obviously trends got the new contract now which you know you're hoping that you stays healthy for another two years but I think with Enrique it's a question of okay where exactly does he fit is this situation where what like Pony you kind of knew he was siding inside to play guard yeah this one I wonder hey you know does he end up being a tackle with just the overall athleticism that he has and some of the length too so
- 50:29[SPEAKER_00]: For the 49ers, I'm not too sure if this is a guy who is in year one, going to go out and play multiple games if someone gets hurt.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_00]: But I do think he's someone that, you know, again, you give him a year to maybe get a little bit stronger.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_00]: I think he definitely could be someone that is if being a swing tackle for a team like the 49ers.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_02]: Looking back now two years, what have you have you been surprised by Poonie's impact or what's been your take on that?
- 50:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think, I mean, I didn't expect Dom to go in and start, but I think what he did it Kansas that really, I think, probably resonated with foreign Irish coaching staff is just consistency.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_00]: And just the fact that you can depend on Dom to be there.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, sure, there have been some ups and downs in terms of one single play, but he's been available.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_00]: He's been really consistent.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_00]: And those are the things that I think were what he showed at Kansas.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_00]: And just the ability to slide in after playing tackle, you know, playing left guard at KU and then playing tackle and doing some center, like kids showing that he'd be versatile.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_00]: And so it wasn't a surprise at all to see him land at right guard and frame to perform as well as he has so far.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, you know, what one thing is interesting about cruise is because I, I thought of this because you, you said, Putin has been durable and this guy's, it seems like it's been durable, but he's basically a two-year starter who played five years of college football, right?
- 51:44[SPEAKER_02]: The, the, the, the 23-year where he starts at left tackle for Syracuse doesn't allow a sack 13 pressures.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_02]: over 800 snaps, then majorly reduced role, loses his starting job in 24, as you said, and then comes in as a 12 game starter, right tackle.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_02]: So he's this interesting combination of like, older has starting experience, but it's basically like, it's 30 games in total, but it's basically a two-year starter.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_00]: So maybe there's some see I guess the what I'm getting at is like is there some some development that can still be done with them and that's a thing I think you're betting on right is the fact that and that's a great point is the fact that yes it's basically to your starter who has so much upside again like frame athleticism like you can work on and getting stronger right you've even seen a dawn right since day one as a starter to the end of this past season like you can see his physical development.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_00]: And so I think with Enrique too, and you go back to Syracuse, they wanted to change something schemwise with how they're offensive Lyman were and Enrique maybe didn't fit that.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_00]: I think there is talent to really latch into.
- 52:54[SPEAKER_00]: And if you even go back to last year, right?
- 52:56[SPEAKER_00]: He was very consistent over the course of the season.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_00]: His one, I think Rough Game was against Texas Tech and okay, cool, dude, when he gets the number two overall pick and Dave Bailey and Rheal White who's also going to 49ers like,
- 53:07[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if you can get too pissed off at one guy when his left tack was having an even worst game for him to have his one bad game on the year.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_00]: So I think he was someone that was super dependable for this coaching staff over the course of the season.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_00]: You can look at the numbers too.
- 53:21[SPEAKER_00]: I think he could get.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_00]: with some added strength to be a more consistent run blocker, but KU was so much better running to the right side than they were running to the left side.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_00]: And so Enrique really did show last year that like he was the guy that you can count on and he was consistent and he was there throughout the course of the season.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_00]: And so I think that's something that
- 53:39[SPEAKER_00]: If you're looking and saying, OK, who do you want to bet on?
- 53:41[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's the guy that I think ended his career on the right note in college was consistently available and really did show some growth.
- 53:48[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that's what you're really hoping is a four-nars fan now.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_00]: But that had on you're really hoping that that's a talent that they can really kind of unlock over the next year or two.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_02]: Kansas to me is one of the more fascinating football programs the last handful of years in college football.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_02]: my first time doing a Kansas game was the COVID year at Texas Tech.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was the last game of the year.
- 54:09[SPEAKER_02]: And I saw what wasn't Karan Prunty wasn't the guy wasn't that the corner.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_02]: He just got drafted.
- 54:14[SPEAKER_00]: Look, you pull in that name.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_00]: It was a good pull.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_02]: It was Karan Prunty against Eric as a comma was like the big match up I remember in that game.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_02]: And Prunty was like at that time he was a true freshman and you thought like two years from now this guy is going to be potentially
- 54:30[SPEAKER_02]: And then he, I don't know how many were he ended up, I think he'd probably two schools after and less every schools for money.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember what, you would know better.
- 54:38[SPEAKER_02]: But, but I think like the things that like, as you know, the tires have drafted now three in the end of Hoosiers in two years.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_02]: And I think the things you like about guys that come from Kurt Signetti are probably the same things you like about guys that come from last life.
- 54:52[SPEAKER_00]: exactly and look like say which one of the c-hawks bug there a well-run organization say what I want about the c-hawks yeah nothing to say they're wonderful so
- 55:01[SPEAKER_00]: But what have they done now?
- 55:02[SPEAKER_00]: They just drafted in May and Henderson here a few minutes ago from Kansas.
- 55:05[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they drafted an offensive line from Kansas last year.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_00]: And so you're seeing some of these NFL teams, like get kids from KU and they're like, yes, like the personality and the mentality and the consistency, like those are the things I think that Lance Lye pulled the KU's done a very good job of is these guys, and it's also comes down with people you're a crew, right?
- 55:24[SPEAKER_00]: If you're a crew throughout type of people,
- 55:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to work out, and so I think Lance has done a very good job of that finding the right personalities.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_00]: And I would say in Riqueh, it's very similar to Dom, you know, a white-hearted personality, can get serious when you get serious, but I think he'll fit in really well with the offensive line room, with the 49ers, and I think you look at KU over all now, and I think it's a program that people understand, hey, if you're getting offensive linemen from KU, they're going to be, well coached, they're going to have the right mindset, and they're going to be willing
- 55:56[SPEAKER_00]: The last two offensive line coaches, KUH has work practice, sometimes, and they ride their butts.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that's something that these guys are able to take, and whether it's a dog, a Scott folks, or a Darryl Gpalsa coaching, you know, and reggae crews, like they get after them.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that's something that I think NFL teams will like is the fact that they've been coached hard, and they're cool with it.
- 56:16[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's the whole, that's critical.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_02]: It's so critical.
- 56:20[SPEAKER_02]: Um, you guys new football stadium opening this year?
- 56:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so this past year they opened up kind of the first two thirds of it, it looks really great and so right now they're constructing on the kind of the the third part of it.
- 56:34[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, so it's a long story.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, so it's under construction.
- 56:38[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to plain it this year.
- 56:39[SPEAKER_00]: They're not playing it arrowhead like they did last year.
- 56:41[SPEAKER_00]: So new stadium fully done for the start of the 27 season.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_02]: I remember we did, I did their game two years ago against Iowa State, which by the way, I didn't mention you covered Brock at Iowa State, right before you started covering Kansas.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_02]: And we got a tour, like we just walked by the football stadium because Kansas, North Carolina played, I saw you there.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
- 57:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 57:03[SPEAKER_02]: North Carolina played an incredible basketball game that night.
- 57:06[SPEAKER_02]: And there was like, so does the football stadium have like, is there still like that grass that you can sit on like the grass and look into the stadium?
- 57:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yep, there is.
- 57:13[SPEAKER_00]: They're gonna keep that open right now.
- 57:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, okay.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's cool.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's good.
- 57:19[SPEAKER_02]: That's awesome.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you know, whatever Michael Swain goes, good thing.
- 57:24[SPEAKER_02]: Dominic Pune and maybe Enrique Cruz, Jr. now, but I mean, the fact that you saw Brock when you did is pretty special too.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's pretty fortunate and it's been fun to watch his own development, right, of really growing into being the leader and being such consistent player and there's still the Brock moments where you're
- 57:44[SPEAKER_00]: That's what all the I was saying people said yeah, you're just like oh my god.
- 57:48[SPEAKER_02]: Why did you make that throw and but hey works out sometimes still I remember Like when he first started starting and you were just like how this guy doesn't do any he doesn't do anything silly He doesn't and and the Iowa state fans and You and you knew this because you covered with like send me comments like oh Just well you got the wrong idea like this guy wants to be a magician And you know and we definitely see something in the personality too.
- 58:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's the thing that whether it's broken
- 58:14[SPEAKER_00]: Dom and Rika, I think a lot of the guys that were as a draft and like they got the personality where it's like, they can deal with the the bad stuff that comes throughout the course of the season, right?
- 58:24[SPEAKER_00]: And then the bad moments ups the downs, right?
- 58:26[SPEAKER_00]: You can't be someone that's too high too low, man.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, Brock is the epitome of that where he can make a terrible decision that ends in a pick six.
- 58:34[SPEAKER_00]: And next play, he is ready to roll and ready to do all over again.
- 58:37[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I mentioned the bears game, but it starts that game with a pick and that's the
- 58:42[SPEAKER_00]: Were you, is there a local 40 vanters bar in Lawrence?
- 58:45[SPEAKER_00]: No, there is.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'll tell you what.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_00]: All my friends are cheese fans.
- 58:49[SPEAKER_00]: And so I just, I don't even bring it up.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's just too painful out here for me to even ask where to go find something.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_02]: So, I'm looking on my phone for a photo.
- 59:00[SPEAKER_02]: I had a great piece of Keyline Pie in Lawrence last time I was there and I don't know.
- 59:04[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah, you did.
- 59:04[SPEAKER_02]: What the name of that place was, but Lady Bird Diner.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, Lady Bird Diner.
- 59:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's a look at their email.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_02]: Michael, it's good to see you again, man.
- 59:14[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks for making time.
- 59:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, of course, guys.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks for having me on.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_02]: All right, thanks for listening to this pot, everybody.
- 59:20[SPEAKER_02]: We'll talk soon.
