- 0:04Hello and welcome back to episode of Bantu Lorencia.
- 0:06How are you all doing if you're doing great For today's episode,
- 0:08I want to talk about immigration issues.
- 0:13Now there's this nurse in America, Rabiat Cuiante.
- 0:17She travelled over 30 years ago. She's in nurse in America.
- 0:23She. Has been.
- 0:24She was deported recently to Ghana because Ghana had signed a
- 0:31an agreement with the US to accept W African immigrants.
- 0:36So Rabiat is from Sierra alone and then she was deported to
- 0:41Ghana. The video that went viral was
- 0:44since she was deported to Ghana, Rabiat refused to.
- 0:50She was in a hotel. So when they arranged for her to
- 0:54be now deported from Ghana to Syria alone, she was fighting,
- 0:58she was dragging. She said she didn't want to go
- 1:00because according to her she is, she has lived in the all her
- 1:04life, 30 years, 3 decades. She stayed in the US, she has
- 1:08kids there. She said that her family's
- 1:11there. She said the reason why she left
- 1:13Syria alone was because she feared for her life.
- 1:16Now going back to Syria alone, she said she didn't want to go.
- 1:19So the Ghanaian officials were literally dragging her on the
- 1:22floor, dragging her to to the car That went viral.
- 1:29After several days, she was moved to an ice facility in
- 1:31Louisiana, where she was held for months, according to her
- 1:35attorney. Honestly, I don't think anyone
- 1:36expected her to be detained just because nothing had changed with
- 1:39her circumstances. Immigration attorney Hannah
- 1:41Bridges represents Coyote and says while she was held in
- 1:44Louisiana this past September, a judge granted an order saying
- 1:48she could not. He sent back to Sierra Leone,
- 1:50where she says her client had been tortured.
- 1:53Bridges says the US immediately began exploring other countries
- 1:57to send her, to which she also tried to fight in court with
- 2:00requests for hearings. Those requests went
- 2:03unacknowledged. Are you concerned that her civil
- 2:06rights were violated during this process?
- 2:09Absolutely she should have been given notice and an opportunity
- 2:13to seek protection from removal to 1/3 country the government
- 2:16had multiple opportunities to do.
- 2:19This Bridges says earlier this month, QR Day was flown from the
- 2:23US to Ghana, a country she's never been to.
- 2:25Before is this the didn't necessary that the immigration
- 2:27officers would drag this woman down to her home because
- 2:30according to the news, allegedly the US deported this woman down
- 2:33to Ghana. Here when she arrived Ghana, the
- 2:35immigration officers insisted that they would take her to her
- 2:38home whereas the woman said no that she want to go by herself.
- 2:41Guys, is it necessary that the immigration officers need to do
- 2:45this? They will be attacking my
- 2:47auntie. In fact, it's very bad.
- 2:49It's very bad. It's terrible.
- 2:52Good afternoon, everybody. Good afternoon.
- 2:58I did. I did make this video.
- 3:00I did make this video. I did make this video because
- 3:03with a heavy heart, this Amphedima today is, I don't
- 3:11know, 10th, 11th, 12th of November 2025, twelfth November
- 3:172025. And right now it's 120 in Texas
- 3:22and they make this video with a heavy heart.
- 3:24I saw a video just now, so disturbing.
- 3:29And it. Make.
- 3:29My heart sick. And nobody never wants even an
- 3:32enemy for let something like this happen to her with sister
- 3:39Rabia Tukuyate not a criminal. It was kind of America for
- 3:46company living from where he he be a teenager at 18 or 19.
- 3:50He don't call America. I don't high school she has made
- 3:54it in America I get a house, I get a family again picking it
- 3:58gets in life together. She went to school and is doing
- 4:02well. Unfortunately, you.
- 4:05Know it. Was stretching in paper.
- 4:07Immigration pick her up. ICE pick her up.
- 4:12And I see the video. I see the video of the dragon
- 4:15thinking dignity. I went to Ghana.
- 4:18We all block people down. They run away from the country.
- 4:23They don't live all these years. And then we are people there,
- 4:27man. We are people there.
- 4:28We black people. Shame on career immigration.
- 4:34Shame on them. Shame on them.
- 4:41Not even your enemy. What you.
- 4:43Wish this on then drag the woman like she's.
- 5:02Only I don't like that America. I don't spend them.
- 5:05She has built a lot for myself. You don't try within paper.
- 5:09I know it will go through. It is not easy to have papers
- 5:13here and after the world where people are.
- 5:16Mikika with. DV.
- 5:18And Mika with their refugee business, she couldn't get it.
- 5:23And now today this video come out with an Emaltritana, Ghana,
- 5:28Missalon Embassy Missalon people, the MDR Unala we call on
- 5:34we government. Unala, we call on the Ghana
- 5:36people, the Ghanaian government. I call on the Ghanaian.
- 5:40The Ghanaian president Una go same with sister.
- 5:44Whatever it is, I don't know. Whatever the situation, but this
- 5:47is troubling. It's very, very troubling.
- 5:53Then they take away with dignity.
- 5:56Then they take away with dignity.
- 5:58They take away dignity. Mom, this is not good.
- 6:05This is not good. This is not good.
- 6:07Lord, have mercy. All inclined, welcome.
- 6:11She's not a criminal. We're going to do something.
- 6:17We're going. To do bad thing, all she was
- 6:19looking for is a better life, which she meant for herself in
- 6:23America. But America, they change, but we
- 6:29that's why. We they.
- 6:30Call them we never. We government never fix we
- 6:32country. No matter.
- 6:36We're 10. We own black people.
- 6:39Leonard and Twitter, like out and Twitter.
- 6:41So this is sad, President Bill, this is sad.
- 6:47I don't I don't send, I don't send all inbox them.
- 6:51I don't send out to Sylvia Bloody.
- 6:53I don't sell out to chief Minister, I don't.
- 6:54Set up. I don't set up do something.
- 6:59We're not giving people their dignity.
- 7:02They are not criminals. All they came for is a better
- 7:06life. This is not Fatima all they came
- 7:11to America and then continued enough.
- 7:13What was a better life The. Other pussy where they're under.
- 7:26This predicament right now, America is not like the America
- 7:32we used to know. We fix we country America, then
- 7:39they go back, then they go friend, then they go search for
- 7:42kick the people. They're out this president's now
- 7:46with the making America great again.
- 7:51They are taking people out, good people that went on.
- 7:54They paid tax. She was never a criminal, a well
- 7:59respected woman at the community.
- 8:03And this is the video that comes out for Salon government.
- 8:07Dion Amekis Unamekis, Gopulan Komodi.
- 8:12God bless you all this Aphidima. This is nothing anybody should
- 8:16be proud of or rejoice over. It can happen to anybody because
- 8:23the craziness of here, the uncertainty of now, the
- 8:29uncertainty of now. Let God bless you.
- 8:33Hi, this woman whose name I will say wrong, Rabbi Atu Kayate.
- 8:39I'm probably putting a little too much seasoning on it.
- 8:42Rabbi Atu Kayate was a nurse that's lived in America for 30
- 8:46years, originally from Sierra Leone, and she had to emigrate
- 8:51to the US with protections because she was being tortured
- 8:55in that country. After 30 years of checking in
- 8:58for her annual appointments like she's supposed to, you know,
- 9:01immigration appointments under the Trump regime, ICE decided
- 9:06that she needed a removal order. Friendly reminder, at the
- 9:09beginning of this very short video, I told you she's a nurse.
- 9:12She wasn't hanging out committing crimes.
- 9:14So when the Republicans tell you, yeah, we got to get rid of
- 9:16the bad apples, get the criminals out of the country,
- 9:19half the time they just send them to Florida.
- 9:21And more than half the time they're not criminals.
- 9:23It's about racism, not immigration or law.
- 9:25And order this woman who had an order from a judge for BIOT 2
- 9:30was was ordered by a judge. She cannot be removed back to
- 9:33Sierra Leone and then oops, while in ICE custody,
- 9:38transported down to Louisiana, kept there for months, all of a
- 9:41sudden a bus shows up to take her in shackles back to this
- 9:45country that she'd escaped from 30 years 30.
- 9:49It's not like it happened three months ago.
- 9:51And even if it did, in my opinion, oops, don't send people
- 9:54back to where they were tortured.
- 9:56You know what I mean? Whether it was last week or 30
- 9:58years ago. But dear God, after 30 years and
- 10:01having a family here, kids here, she's back.
- 10:07And now there's a video on the Internet of her being dragged by
- 10:11the Ghanian government, potentially.
- 10:14And this woman went from having a normal American life, working
- 10:17at hospitals, taking care of you and me, and she's back being
- 10:21tortured in Sierra Leone. And I just wanted to tell you,
- 10:27don't forget, there's a certain list that we all need to be
- 10:29talking about, but there's some really important stuff going on
- 10:33besides that. To your neighbours.
- 10:36Thanks. Now, the reason why I want to
- 10:40talk about this is because there are so many immigrants that
- 10:43travel and then just relax, forgetting that if any a, a, a
- 10:50country that is not your country, you have to make sure
- 10:54that you legalise your stay. You have to legalise your stay.
- 11:00Imagine being in a country for over 30 years.
- 11:03You're working as a nurse. So it's not like you're not
- 11:05making money. You're making money.
- 11:07You're any money. You have kids who are Americans
- 11:11in the Uka child, let's say, regardless of your status, if
- 11:17you have a child in the UK and the father is a citizen, then
- 11:23you can. That child being a citizen is
- 11:26going to sort out your own paper, but still you have to
- 11:29apply. I think the problem was that she
- 11:31never bothered, because in America you can actually work
- 11:36without, you know, I don't even know how it works.
- 11:39How can you know? How can you work?
- 11:42I don't know. How can you be in America
- 11:45working as a nurse and you don't have your papers?
- 11:50It doesn't make sense. I don't know, but that was what
- 11:53happened to her. Let me know what you think.
- 11:55Do you think that we immigrants sometimes drop the ball by
- 12:01ignoring certain things that we needed to do?
- 12:04Just because you're in a place where you you can work doesn't
- 12:11mean you shouldn't sort out your immigration papers.
- 12:15This should be a lesson to every immigrant living abroad.
- 12:20If your papers are not sorted, my dear, start sorting it out
- 12:24now, especially those in America.
- 12:28Trump is crazy. Trump is deporting everybody and
- 12:32Ghana, Ghana, Ghana, Ghana is accepting everybody.
- 12:37Ghana is Ghana is the next Ghana.
- 12:43What do we do to Ghana? Do we, what do we do to Ghana
- 12:46because Ghana betrayed Trump came to Nigeria and asked for,
- 12:50you know, Nigerian government to accept and Nigeria said no,
- 12:55we're not accepting anybody. Ghana betrayed us, Ghana
- 12:59betrayed West Africa. Do we need to talk about it or
- 13:03are they just, you know, chasing money and chasing dollars?
- 13:08Let me know what you think. Thank you very much for watching
- 13:10today's episode. Please like, like, like and
- 13:11share. Thank you very much for
- 13:13watching. Bye.
