  Speaker 1: As you head into this day, just remember that time

  Speaker 1: with God is your number one priority in life and

  Speaker 1: the most important thing for giving stability, security, and a

  Speaker 1: firm foundation to your life. Jesus told us, Remember, if

  Speaker 1: you hear my words and act on them, you're like
• 0:23
  Speaker 1: the man who built his house on a solid rock,
• 0:27
  Speaker 1: and the storms of life came. Walking with God doesn't
• 0:31
  Speaker 1: mean that He keeps you from having the hard, difficult
• 0:34
  Speaker 1: experiences of life.
• 0:36
  Speaker 1: But he said they beat on that house and the
• 0:38
  Speaker 1: house stood firm because it had a firm foundation in
• 0:42
  Speaker 1: the same way as you build your life on your
• 0:46
  Speaker 1: time with God, with your Bible open in front of you,
• 0:50
  Speaker 1: hearing His word, acting on it. Your life has that
• 0:53
  Speaker 1: firm foundation. The storms are going to come, but your
• 0:58
  Speaker 1: life will stand against those storms.

  Speaker 1: We're talking this week uh on the theme of together
• 1:05
  Speaker 1: we are stronger, and this theme comes out so often
• 1:09
  Speaker 1: in scripture. You think even about the way that we
• 1:12
  Speaker 1: were made as people. Remember when God created Adam in
• 1:16
  Speaker 1: the Garden of Eden, and there were all the animals
• 1:20
  Speaker 1: there and Adam named all the animals and the, the
• 1:22
  Speaker 1: animals were there and were multiplying and Adam saw all
• 1:25
  Speaker 1: of this and, and,
• 1:27
  Speaker 1: It says that God saw that Adam was alone, and
• 1:31
  Speaker 1: He said it is not good for the man to
• 1:34
  Speaker 1: be alone.
• 1:36
  Speaker 1: And so he made Eve, he made the helper, the woman, uh,
• 1:40
  Speaker 1: to be his partner in life.
• 1:44
  Speaker 1: Jesus talks about this. One day. It says in Matthew
• 1:47
  Speaker 1: 19:3 in the Bible. Some P pharisees came to Jesus
• 1:51
  Speaker 1: testing Him and saying, Is it lawful for a man
• 1:55
  Speaker 1: to divorce his wife for any cause at all? And
• 1:58
  Speaker 1: he answered and said, Have you not read that He
• 2:02
  Speaker 1: who created them from the beginning made them male and female?
• 2:08
  Speaker 1: And said for this cause a man shall leave his
• 2:12
  Speaker 1: father and mother and shall cleave to his wife, and
• 2:16
  Speaker 1: the two shall become one flesh.

  Speaker 1: Consequently, they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore,
• 2:25
  Speaker 1: God has joined together, let no man separate.

  Speaker 1: And so there's this beautiful.

  Speaker 1: Institution of marriage that God put in place in life
• 2:38
  Speaker 1: because of this principle that together we are so much
• 2:42
  Speaker 1: stronger than we are alone and He wanted to create
• 2:47
  Speaker 1: a lifelong bond, a commitment, a covenant of love together
• 2:52
  Speaker 1: that would cement the power of people living life together.

  Speaker 1: In committed relationships. This is what God wants for your life,
• 3:03
  Speaker 1: not only in marriage, but in your relationships with other
• 3:07
  Speaker 1: people in your life, that you learn not to live
• 3:10
  Speaker 1: life as an island, isolated from all the people around you.
• 3:15
  Speaker 1: Just going to work, doing your thing at your own
• 3:19
  Speaker 1: computer or digging your ditches or whatever it is that
• 3:22
  Speaker 1: you're working.
• 3:23
  Speaker 1: On during the day and then coming home and isolating
• 3:26
  Speaker 1: yourself with your computer, your TV, your book, and not
• 3:30
  Speaker 1: building your life around the relationships in your life. You know,
• 3:34
  Speaker 1: when you do that, you are really hurting yourself and
• 3:38
  Speaker 1: severely limiting the impact of your life because God designed
• 3:44
  Speaker 1: us to be working in partnership with other people.
• 3:48
  Speaker 1: And as we do things in partnership, as we join together,
• 3:52
  Speaker 1: the output of our life, the impact of our life,
• 3:56
  Speaker 1: the strength, the stability of our life just goes through
• 3:59
  Speaker 1: the roof. So think about your life right now and
• 4:04
  Speaker 1: consider this how can you strengthen the relationships in your
• 4:09
  Speaker 1: life so that you and the people you are in
• 4:14
  Speaker 1: relationship with are growing closer to God.
• 4:17
  Speaker 1: And more fully fulfilling his purpose for you.
