- 0:00Speaker 1: You know. I was thinking this because I had a
- 0:02Speaker 1: conversation yesterday with a young person at family feud. And listen,
- 0:12Speaker 1: I know I've often said this before that it's hard
- 0:15Speaker 1: to be successful, it really really is, and it's hard
- 0:19Speaker 1: to do the right thing, it really really is. But
- 0:22Speaker 1: can I tell you something now, and this is important
- 0:26Speaker 1: for people to bear. You play a huge part in
- 0:34Speaker 1: all of this. You play a huge part in your
- 0:40Speaker 1: success or in your lack of success, and you have
- 0:45Speaker 1: to take responsibility for that. You have a say so
- 0:52Speaker 1: in the direction and the path your life is on.
- 0:55Speaker 1: You have a say so. Why because God gives us
- 0:57Speaker 1: the power of choice. Were the only animal he created
- 1:00Speaker 1: that has complete power of choice. They've given it to
- 1:04Speaker 1: the point now where And this isn't me having a
- 1:07Speaker 1: negative to say anything. It's just but there are people now,
- 1:11Speaker 1: we are so in a choose your own society. You
- 1:16Speaker 1: can now choose your pronoun so. Now, if you can
- 1:19Speaker 1: do that, you have a say so in everything. So
- 1:23Speaker 1: let's stop shucking the part that we are responsible for,
- 1:30Speaker 1: because you are and you are very much responsible for
- 1:34Speaker 1: the position you are all in. Because we are all
- 1:38Speaker 1: in the position we are in today because of a
- 1:40Speaker 1: series of decisions that we made. So just understand that
- 1:45Speaker 1: it has a lot to do with you. Now, you
- 1:48Speaker 1: can point the finger all you want, So and so
- 1:51Speaker 1: did this to me. Somebody left me, they fired me
- 1:56Speaker 1: at my job. All of these can be true, but
- 2:02Speaker 1: that's the ten percent that happens to you. The ninety
- 2:08Speaker 1: percent is what you do about what happens to you,
- 2:12Speaker 1: and that is why you have a huge responsibility in
- 2:16Speaker 1: all of this. Nobody gets through this thing scott free.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Nobody doesn't gets through this life without problems and hurdles
- 2:25Speaker 1: and setbacks and trials and tribulations and let downs. Nobody
- 2:30Speaker 1: escapes that. It's called life. But you have got to
- 2:34Speaker 1: take responsibility for that. And once you take responsibility, it
- 2:39Speaker 1: allows you to change. Because you can't change what people
- 2:43Speaker 1: say about you. You can't stop what they think about you,
- 2:47Speaker 1: you can't stop what they saying, doing, writing, texting, line blogging,
- 2:53Speaker 1: you can't stop all of that. But you have a
- 2:57Speaker 1: direct say so in how you look at it, how
- 3:00Speaker 1: you deal with it, and how you and how you
- 3:03Speaker 1: go about your business behind it. All of this is
- 3:07Speaker 1: your responsibility. So while you pointing your finger, you know
- 3:11Speaker 1: they're saying is why you point your finger. That's three
- 3:14Speaker 1: of them pointing back at you. What is your role
- 3:16Speaker 1: in this? What is your role in your life? And
- 3:20Speaker 1: I'm going to tell you what your role in your
- 3:21Speaker 1: life is. It's big. It's big. Now. The suggestion that
- 3:28Speaker 1: I can give you to help you with your role
- 3:30Speaker 1: in life is to make your partner God. If you
- 3:36Speaker 1: give God permission to be the architect and the author
- 3:41Speaker 1: of your life, you now have a business partner that
- 3:47Speaker 1: is of such value. See my business partner is God.
- 3:54Speaker 1: So when you kick me and it looked like I'm down,
- 3:57Speaker 1: I turn it over to God. When I'm faithd with
- 4:00Speaker 1: decisions and I don't know what to do, I turn
- 4:03Speaker 1: it over to God. When I get let down, when
- 4:08Speaker 1: I get written off, when I don't know when the
- 4:12Speaker 1: next one is coming, I turn it over to God,
- 4:17Speaker 1: who happens to be my business partner, and I allow
- 4:22Speaker 1: him to order my steps, to direct my path, to
- 4:27Speaker 1: provide me the strength to withstand whatever I'm currently having
- 4:32Speaker 1: to deal with now, and to keep me strong enough.
- 4:37Speaker 1: So when we get through this, I understand the purpose
- 4:41Speaker 1: of it. I get the lesson from it, and I
- 4:45Speaker 1: get the blessing from it. And sometimes you need your
- 4:48Speaker 1: partner to just strengthen you to get through it. It's
- 4:52Speaker 1: not gonna always work out the way you want it to,
- 4:57Speaker 1: but it can still work out though, because you have
- 5:00Speaker 1: a role in this thing, y'all, a very very important role.
- 5:06Speaker 1: It's you. So stop making it about everybody else. Stop
- 5:14Speaker 1: blaming the set of circumstances for why you are, why
- 5:17Speaker 1: you are where you are. You okay, Yeah, it happened.
- 5:20Speaker 1: I got that. It happened. We got to deal with it.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Stop blaming other people for why you are where you are. No, man,
- 5:32Speaker 1: somewhere down the line, you made a decision. If somebody
- 5:36Speaker 1: left you in a bad position, you know you made
- 5:39Speaker 1: the decision to be with that person, don't you? Can
- 5:43Speaker 1: you just bad that? It's okay, man. We all make mistakes, everybody, me, President, Chancellor,
- 5:53Speaker 1: your teachers, your ministers, everybody make mistakes. Get up, talk
- 6:00Speaker 1: to God, tell him what you need, share it with
- 6:04Speaker 1: him and wait on him and wait on his response,
- 6:08Speaker 1: because he got one. He has an answer and is
- 6:11Speaker 1: usually a good one. Now you have a say so
- 6:14Speaker 1: in this thing, so get to have and you'll say so.
- 6:16Speaker 1: And the best person to do it with is God
- 6:19Speaker 1: for all.
