Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Broadcasting live across the world right now.
- 0:05Speaker 2: This is the John Jay and Rich radio program.
- 0:08Speaker 3: This is big news. I think this is really big,
- 0:10Speaker 3: big big pop culture. I mean one of the big
- 0:12Speaker 3: what's the biggest things that happened in pop culture in
- 0:14Speaker 3: the last six months?
- 0:15Speaker 4: Taylor Swift's marriage.
- 0:16Speaker 3: Yep, and Rich, what happened to you? Oh we have
- 0:19Speaker 3: your wife on the phone.
- 0:20Speaker 5: Oh good, my partner in crime. She can coroborate all
- 0:23Speaker 5: the things that happened.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Good morning, Stacy, Good morning.
- 0:27Speaker 5: So Stacey and I got invited to a wedding in
- 0:30Speaker 5: Laguna or I'm sorry, Newport Beach over the week and
- 0:33Speaker 5: it was Friday, and we decided to go out like
- 0:36Speaker 5: a day or two early, get ourselves a hotel near
- 0:39Speaker 5: the water, and really enjoy ourselves. So we went out.
- 0:42Speaker 5: And this is a formal wedding, like tuxedo and formal gowns.
- 0:47Speaker 5: So Stacy and I, how many dresses did you bring?
- 0:51Speaker 5: Change in you to try out?
- 0:52Speaker 3: Stace?
- 0:53Speaker 6: Oh my gosh, I brought like five dresses and then
- 0:59Speaker 6: while we were there, but like five more now all
- 1:04Speaker 6: it was. It was ridiculous. Now they've all been returned
- 1:07Speaker 6: except the one that I ended up wearing.
- 1:09Speaker 7: But I was.
- 1:10Speaker 6: I was very worried about not having the right dress.
- 1:12Speaker 5: But yes, you better look in the back of your car.
- 1:14Speaker 5: I think there's like three more in the back of
- 1:16Speaker 5: your car right now. Anyway, so we get dressed to
- 1:18Speaker 5: the nines to get to this wedding because we're looking
- 1:20Speaker 5: it up. We're nowhere close to it, so we know
- 1:22Speaker 5: we got about an hour drive. So three in the afternoon,
- 1:25Speaker 5: we are dressed up in heading out to the wedding.
- 1:28Speaker 5: So we go to leave our room and we get
- 1:30Speaker 5: on the elevator and we hear some guy chatting up
- 1:33Speaker 5: some other guy talking about business, talking about, you know,
- 1:35Speaker 5: it's gonna be great in the you know, when you
- 1:37Speaker 5: do this this thing, we're gonna be all kinds of sponsors,
- 1:39Speaker 5: and he's kind of brushing him off. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 1:41Speaker 5: yeah yeah. So he's getting ready to close the elevator
- 1:44Speaker 5: on this guy. We walk into the elevator and this guy,
- 1:48Speaker 5: this big, tall, handsome guy wearing a fishing hat, looks
- 1:51Speaker 5: at Stacy and I. He's like, you guys look great.
- 1:53Speaker 5: Where are you heading And I said, wells to the beach,
- 1:55Speaker 5: of course, we're going to the beach. And he starts
- 1:58Speaker 5: laughing He's like, that's gonna be a very James Bond
- 2:00Speaker 5: move for you. And we start laughing and kind of
- 2:02Speaker 5: just chuckling about things. And right about that time, I
- 2:06Speaker 5: realize that it's Travis Kelcey is insane about you recognize
- 2:11Speaker 5: him at all?
- 2:13Speaker 6: I one hundred percent recognize him. But the great thing
- 2:18Speaker 6: about Rich and I is that we have like the
- 2:21Speaker 6: ability to communicate with our minds with each other, and
- 2:24Speaker 6: both of us at that point know that neither one
- 2:27Speaker 6: of us is going to let Travis kelce know that
- 2:29Speaker 6: we know it's Travis kelce and so we are just
- 2:33Speaker 6: going to act like we are normal people having a
- 2:36Speaker 6: nice conversation with him, and so we continue to just
- 2:40Speaker 6: shoot the breeze and so continue Rich, so.
- 2:45Speaker 3: The three of you, just.
- 2:47Speaker 6: By the way that other got yes, I was just
- 2:49Speaker 6: going to say that there's no one else, it's just
- 2:51Speaker 6: the three of us and we're just chatting. We're just
- 2:53Speaker 6: having a chat.
- 2:54Speaker 5: So we are getting off the elevator and he's going
- 2:57Speaker 5: to the floor we just came from, so we assume
- 3:00Speaker 5: he must be staying on that floor. So the elevator
- 3:03Speaker 5: doors are opening up, and he's like, have a good
- 3:05Speaker 5: time and Stacey says back to him, now acknowledging she knows.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Who he is.
- 3:10Speaker 6: Yes, this was the first time. So we talked the
- 3:12Speaker 6: whole way down, and it was kind of a long
- 3:14Speaker 6: ride down, and we were just talking.
- 3:16Speaker 5: About the beach.
- 3:17Speaker 6: We were talking about you know, stupid stuff and just
- 3:20Speaker 6: like normal people and that. It was like he was
- 3:22Speaker 6: super nice and we're just you know, talking about California
- 3:26Speaker 6: and about you know, going to the beach.
- 3:28Speaker 3: And because in the Empire State Building it's like the
- 3:30Speaker 3: longest elevator is a long ride.
- 3:33Speaker 6: No, no, it was. No, it wasn't a long ride
- 3:37Speaker 6: because of the floor. It was just it was a
- 3:38Speaker 6: slow elevator. But anyway, we're having a nice chat and
- 3:41Speaker 6: then we're getting off the elevator and I just say
- 3:44Speaker 6: to him, by the way, I loved your mom on
- 3:46Speaker 6: The Traders. So he starts laughing the last season and
- 3:50Speaker 6: the Traders.
- 3:51Speaker 5: He starts laughing, where I think I see a bubble
- 3:53Speaker 5: come out of his nose because he did not expect it.
- 3:55Speaker 5: So he loved it. Because we didn't ask him for anything,
- 3:59Speaker 5: We didn't acknowledge it. We did to make a big
- 4:01Speaker 5: I'm sure at this stage everybody asks him for a picture.
- 4:04Speaker 5: It just didn't seem like the right.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Which is why you needed to.
- 4:08Speaker 4: Us in the group chat.
- 4:12Speaker 3: I would have had that phone and like I would
- 4:14Speaker 3: have been like, in fact, if you're Travis kelcey like that,
- 4:17Speaker 3: hell's wrong with these two people? How do you not know?
- 4:19Speaker 3: I'm the biggest thing in the world right now and
- 4:22Speaker 3: you got right now?
- 4:23Speaker 6: Everyone needs to be quiet right now. I'm going to
- 4:26Speaker 6: tell you why because Travis Kelce forevermore is going to
- 4:31Speaker 6: remember us as the two people he had a nice
- 4:34Speaker 6: chat with who were not fangirling and fan boying over him.
- 4:38Speaker 6: We were simply two normal people who had a normal
- 4:42Speaker 6: person chat with him, and he will forevermore remember that
- 4:47Speaker 6: we were not psychopaths.
- 4:48Speaker 8: Well.
- 4:49Speaker 3: Also, here's another part of it too.
- 4:51Speaker 5: It's like, now that we know he's there and he's
- 4:53Speaker 5: on our floor, we feel like they're probably going to
- 4:55Speaker 5: be here for a minute, so we'll have another opportunity
- 4:58Speaker 5: to where you see him again, and he'll remember like that.
- 5:00Speaker 5: You know, we'll come back from the beach in our
- 5:02Speaker 5: tuxedo at our formal So we figured we're planting the
- 5:05Speaker 5: seed for later on. So as soon as we there
- 5:08Speaker 5: was two yes, so we get off the elevator, and
- 5:12Speaker 5: as soon as we get off the elevator, we get
- 5:14Speaker 5: stopped by some employee that kind of we became friendly with.
- 5:17Speaker 5: The bartender that we became friendly with, and she's like,
- 5:19Speaker 5: I have to take your picture right now. In Stacy looks,
- 5:22Speaker 5: she's like, did you see Travis walk by? And she's like, yeah,
- 5:24Speaker 5: we're not supposed to acknowledge that at all. They're here
- 5:26Speaker 5: for a wedding later. So she pulls us outside and
- 5:30Speaker 5: takes our picture, which I think I sent to Peyton, right,
- 5:32Speaker 5: so we'll stick all that up at John Jayanrich dot com. Anyway,
- 5:35Speaker 5: we have to leave for the wedding because it's an
- 5:37Speaker 5: hour away and it starts in an hour, so we
- 5:40Speaker 5: can't go on the search for what is Travis Kelsey
- 5:43Speaker 5: doing at our hotel. We just know he's there, so
- 5:46Speaker 5: we have to leave. We go to the wedding, We
- 5:48Speaker 5: go to the reception. We come back to the Rich
- 5:51Speaker 5: Carlton about ten ten thirty and we think, okay, well,
- 5:55Speaker 5: maybe there's people hanging out at the bar. Maybe there's
- 5:58Speaker 5: a reception going on somewhere. We go get Martiniz at
- 6:01Speaker 5: the bar and we're looking around and there's nobody in tuxas.
- 6:04Speaker 5: So we take our drinks and we start walking around.
- 6:07Speaker 5: One of the employee says to us, Oh, you guys
- 6:09Speaker 5: are probably lost. You're looking for the reception that's in
- 6:12Speaker 5: the whatever, the Pacific Palisades room on the first floor.
- 6:16Speaker 5: So we find out what's where the wedding is, where
- 6:19Speaker 5: the wedding reception is. We go down to the first floor.
- 6:22Speaker 5: Stacy looks like a million bucks in her gown right
- 6:24Speaker 5: she's holding the Martini. Security guy waves us right through
- 6:27Speaker 5: and I start hearing music bumping. I hear Michael Jackson
- 6:30Speaker 5: Billy Jean, and I'm like, it's got to be in
- 6:32Speaker 5: that room right there. It's probably a big wedding reception hall.
- 6:36Speaker 5: And we're gonna go right in there and we're gonna
- 6:38Speaker 5: see him. We walk in the door, nobody stops us
- 6:41Speaker 5: at all. We walk right through and it's about a
- 6:43Speaker 5: room about the size of this studio where the reception is.
- 6:47Speaker 5: There's maybe thirty people there, not many people, so we're
- 6:51Speaker 5: gonna stand out. They're gonna figure out that we don't
- 6:53Speaker 5: belong there right away. But three feet from us as
- 6:56Speaker 5: Travis and Taylor dance in their faces off in tech
- 7:00Speaker 5: Travis takes off his jacket and he hands it to
- 7:03Speaker 5: Taylor and she puts it on, and they are just
- 7:06Speaker 5: dancing their faces off, and they looked so much in love.
- 7:10Speaker 5: It was so cool to see them.
- 7:12Speaker 9: The best time cutus.
- 7:14Speaker 6: It was the cutest thing. Like if you ever thought,
- 7:19Speaker 6: like I'm not saying anyone ever thought, but if anyone
- 7:21Speaker 6: ever thought that maybe this is a grand publicity's done
- 7:24Speaker 6: and it's all for pr it is not. These two
- 7:27Speaker 6: people are madly in love. Like they were dancing, they
- 7:32Speaker 6: were kissing, they were hugging. They adore the pants off
- 7:38Speaker 6: each other, these two, and it was just precious the
- 7:41Speaker 6: two of them together.
- 7:42Speaker 10: It was so cute.
- 7:44Speaker 5: So I say to Stacy, let's go to the dance
- 7:46Speaker 5: floor right now. Let's go, and she kind of grabs
- 7:48Speaker 5: in my arms. She's like, do you realize that there's
- 7:51Speaker 5: only a few people here. We're going to get spotted
- 7:53Speaker 5: pretty quick. So whatever whatever we do, we need to
- 7:57Speaker 5: do it fast and get out of here. So my phone,
- 8:00Speaker 5: which is in my blazer pocket of my tuxedo, and
- 8:03Speaker 5: I start filming. But I can't let anybody see me
- 8:06Speaker 5: have a phone because nobody in there has a phone,
- 8:08Speaker 5: right I'm the only one with the phone, so I
- 8:11Speaker 5: think I got an okay image of the back of Travis,
- 8:14Speaker 5: and you can sort of see Taylor peeking out. You
- 8:17Speaker 5: can sort of see she has his jacket on, but
- 8:19Speaker 5: you can't see much. Mostly what you see in the
- 8:21Speaker 5: video is Stacy's cleavage because I was trying to sit
- 8:23Speaker 5: around that watching this.
- 8:29Speaker 4: Did he send us the wrong video?
- 8:32Speaker 3: Follow What an opportunity to follow up on your elevator? Right, Hey,
- 8:36Speaker 3: there's those two people that had a normal conversation with
- 8:40Speaker 3: me and the elevator. Now, what are you ever going
- 8:43Speaker 3: to use that again?
- 8:44Speaker 6: Interrupted their dance? That is what he would have said.
- 8:46Speaker 6: He would have been like, there's those normal people, right.
- 8:50Speaker 3: So someday, if we ever talked to Taylor again or
- 8:53Speaker 3: Travis again, we have to bring up remember those normal
- 8:55Speaker 3: people in the elevator that was us.
- 8:57Speaker 5: And then you also realized, well, this doesn't really are
- 8:59Speaker 5: a event. We're inside a place we shouldn't be. We
- 9:02Speaker 5: got a glimpse of it, We got the moment we
- 9:04Speaker 5: should leave them alone because any minute now, these security
- 9:08Speaker 5: guys I was telling there, these security guys are the
- 9:11Speaker 5: size of houses, right, and there's a lot of them.
- 9:13Speaker 3: I'm surprised he didn't have a security guy in the
- 9:15Speaker 3: elevator rhythm. I am too.
- 9:16Speaker 5: I am really surprised he was all by himself.
- 9:19Speaker 3: That's cool.
- 9:19Speaker 5: So I don't know if they ended up staying there,
- 9:21Speaker 5: because on Saturday, we didn't really see, you know, any anybody,
- 9:24Speaker 5: but like other lingering, like NFL people, they gotta kind
- 9:28Speaker 5: of floating around. But so we did get a little
- 9:30Speaker 5: screen cap. I think that we're gonna and you can.
- 9:33Speaker 5: I think I sent you, Uh, we're gonna post a
- 9:35Speaker 5: little video of us kind of on the hunt.
- 9:36Speaker 3: It's up.
- 9:36Speaker 7: It's posted right now.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Okay, Travis Kelsey spotted at teammates wedding. Oh so the
- 9:41Speaker 3: thing is in the group chat, which is like, I'm
- 9:43Speaker 3: in Newport where you were, and I and Travis Kelcey
- 9:45Speaker 3: we just bumped into the elevator. So I and I'm like,
- 9:48Speaker 3: there's no frickin way you got the wrong guy, they wouldn't,
- 9:50Speaker 3: you think? Because I kept hearing, well, I kept hearing
- 9:52Speaker 3: everywhere that they were in Montana a Yellowstone club. So
- 9:55Speaker 3: I google and sure enough it's the new The new.
- 9:58Speaker 3: The breaking news is that Tar Swift and Travis Kelsey
- 10:01Speaker 3: are both in Newport. I'm like, oh my god, Rich,
- 10:03Speaker 3: you're right, You're right, You're right.
- 10:04Speaker 5: So you can see that the dress where they're toasting,
- 10:07Speaker 5: like the couple at the wedding is the same one
- 10:09Speaker 5: she has on at the reception.
- 10:10Speaker 3: I think, well, you got the guy with the ponytail.
- 10:12Speaker 3: I wonder who he is.
- 10:13Speaker 5: We just walked in late enough at the wedding because
- 10:16Speaker 5: they were in major dance modes.
- 10:17Speaker 3: Is she the one with the shirt is untucked?
- 10:19Speaker 8: Yes?
- 10:19Speaker 3: Yeah, And there's a bride next to him.
- 10:21Speaker 5: No, no, there's somebody next to him. And then Taylor's
- 10:23Speaker 5: on his right side. As you look at the picture,
- 10:25Speaker 5: you can see her here. Her little head just kind
- 10:27Speaker 5: of pulled back in a ponytail or something for the
- 10:30Speaker 5: dance floor.
- 10:30Speaker 6: It's like pulled back and it's like her head is
- 10:33Speaker 6: over his shoulder.
- 10:34Speaker 9: It was so white.
- 10:35Speaker 3: What song is playing?
- 10:36Speaker 5: Black Eyed Peas? And then uh, we stayed for about
- 10:39Speaker 5: four songs. I heard Michael Jackson, I heard Usher Yeah,
- 10:45Speaker 5: and I heard Staying Alive, and then I heard Let's
- 10:50Speaker 5: get it started. And they were dancing for all of them.
- 10:52Speaker 5: I mean, they were cutting it up.
- 10:53Speaker 3: I would have danced, I would I would have just
- 10:55Speaker 3: done it to get kicked out on your cover?
- 10:57Speaker 7: What are they going to do? Put you in handcuffs
- 10:58Speaker 7: for breaking into a wedding?
- 11:04Speaker 6: Were not those normal.
- 11:05Speaker 7: Cool I'm sorry you guys absolutely stumbled that.
- 11:15Speaker 11: Shame.
- 11:18Speaker 6: I just must share this part because Rich, I don't know.
- 11:20Speaker 6: Did you not tell them about the other time we
- 11:23Speaker 6: ran into Travis at a hotel?
- 11:25Speaker 10: Do they not know that story?
- 11:27Speaker 5: I don't think we ever talked about that because he
- 11:28Speaker 5: wasn't engaged to.
- 11:29Speaker 7: Do Were you the normal people in the elevator?
- 11:31Speaker 4: And weren't you those other normal people that I remember.
- 11:36Speaker 3: From before I fully met one other normal couple in elevator?
- 11:41Speaker 2: Where'd you guys be there before.
- 11:43Speaker 6: We run into We run into Travis Kelsey at hotels
- 11:48Speaker 6: all the time. We were vacationing when we were engaged
- 11:53Speaker 6: at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado, and Travis Kelsey, when
- 11:57Speaker 6: he was not engaged to Taylor, was there at the
- 12:00Speaker 6: bar and we chatted with him for a while there.
- 12:03Speaker 6: So honestly, and Rich and he were talking about like
- 12:07Speaker 6: Nike dunk clothes or something at the time, and so
- 12:10Speaker 6: were hit at the time.
- 12:12Speaker 3: So in the elevator this weekend, he would go, hey,
- 12:14Speaker 3: you're the Colorado Springs normal guy.
- 12:17Speaker 6: Rich was like he was like dunk buddy when he
- 12:20Speaker 6: walked in.
- 12:21Speaker 9: Yeah, no, no I did not he remember. I know
- 12:24Speaker 9: he didn't.
- 12:24Speaker 3: If you would have taken a perature of Chads Kelsey
- 12:27Speaker 3: in the elevator and posted it, I heart would tell
- 12:29Speaker 3: you to take it down because AI, you know that's
- 12:35Speaker 3: not real, Like that's real. No, it's not take it down.
- 12:38Speaker 5: Kyle Peyton, I've seen him before, I've seen him in person,
- 12:41Speaker 5: but he looks especially handsome now.
- 12:42Speaker 7: I'm sure.
- 12:44Speaker 3: Forever more handsome. What a love story, Well, Stacey, it's
- 12:48Speaker 3: a great you guys had it. That's an awesome story.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Truly is an awesome story, and it's gonna be great
- 12:52Speaker 3: story to tell your kids one day.
- 12:53Speaker 5: I did think we're gonna get kicked out of the
- 12:55Speaker 5: hotel because we wandered into a place we weren't supposed to.
- 12:57Speaker 3: It's great.
- 12:58Speaker 5: I thought for sure we're gonna get busted.
- 13:00Speaker 3: It's Stacy. Thank you for calling in. Congratulations and the
- 13:02Speaker 3: pictures are up on our website or on our Instagram.
- 13:04Speaker 3: John Jay Richard the videos up there. Make your comments
- 13:06Speaker 3: see and then send a screenshot. You can I can't
- 13:08Speaker 3: tell which one is Tato Swift. But she's there and
- 13:11Speaker 3: you can see it. Thanks Stacy of course.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Oh cool, your scanner stopped. It's John Jay and Rich.
- 13:17Speaker 3: One of the things about the Tato Swift wedding was
- 13:19Speaker 3: that the invitations there was an NDA people had to
- 13:23Speaker 3: sign before you go to the wedding. Right there was
- 13:24Speaker 3: an NDA. So we asked who had to sign an
- 13:27Speaker 3: NDA in the past, and Tasa, you had an NDA.
- 13:32Speaker 12: Uh yeah, I actually have two at the moment and
- 13:36Speaker 12: a one past one. So I'm a mobile dog groomer,
- 13:42Speaker 12: and so I go to people's houses groom their dogs.
- 13:45Speaker 12: So I've had a sign too where I'm at right now.
- 13:49Speaker 12: So and the only thing I can say is that
- 13:51Speaker 12: they're both rescue dogs, which is awesome. They're both lovely dogs,
- 13:56Speaker 12: and the people are absolutely wonderful, like the nicest people
- 14:01Speaker 12: in the world that I can groom for.
- 14:02Speaker 3: But you have to sign an NDA because they're famous.
- 14:06Speaker 3: Uh huh, and you're you're there now at their house.
- 14:10Speaker 13: I'm not.
- 14:10Speaker 12: I Actually I took a week off, so this is
- 14:13Speaker 12: my last day of vacation.
- 14:14Speaker 5: Are the dogs famous? Are the people famous?
- 14:18Speaker 12: The people are famous?
- 14:19Speaker 3: Famous?
- 14:20Speaker 2: Just in this town.
- 14:23Speaker 12: Yeah, just in this town. But I can't disclose like
- 14:27Speaker 12: their address or anything because I go to their I
- 14:29Speaker 12: go to their househouse. I don't go to an office.
- 14:32Speaker 12: I don't deal with assis sense anything like that. I
- 14:34Speaker 12: work with them.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Well, you shouldn't have to get you would never disclose
- 14:37Speaker 3: their address anyway. But why if they're just local famous people,
- 14:41Speaker 3: why do they need an NDA.
- 14:44Speaker 12: They That's what they told me to do. Basically, they said,
- 14:48Speaker 12: if you want me to groom, if you want to
- 14:50Speaker 12: groom these dogs, this is what you have to do.
- 14:53Speaker 12: They have certain rules on everything. One is more picky
- 14:58Speaker 12: about everything about Hey, this is the door that you
- 15:00Speaker 12: can use. This is the drive where you have to
- 15:03Speaker 12: park at.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Okay, So like that, are they athletes? Are they on TV?
- 15:10Speaker 3: Are they in the movies?
- 15:13Speaker 12: All one is makes music and then the other one
- 15:21Speaker 12: is uh. I won't say an athlete, but they're more
- 15:29Speaker 12: I can't really say because it tends it down. Essentially
- 15:33Speaker 12: the location where I'm at.
- 15:34Speaker 3: The one that makes music is that somebody who made
- 15:36Speaker 3: music a long time ago, like in the seventies and
- 15:39Speaker 3: eighties currently, so they currently have hit music right now
- 15:44Speaker 3: on the radio. Yes, country, I can't say. Why is
- 15:51Speaker 3: there a country. Person lives here. Couple there are who
- 15:55Speaker 3: Dirk Spindley.
- 15:56Speaker 14: He lives here.
- 15:57Speaker 3: I know he's from here. I know he still lives there.
- 15:59Speaker 3: It's got a place here. He wouldn't sign the NDA.
- 16:01Speaker 5: But I don't think he's with an athlete.
- 16:03Speaker 3: No, I don't think they're taking they're not married. You're
- 16:05Speaker 3: talking about two separate people, right, or are they?
- 16:07Speaker 15: Oh?
- 16:08Speaker 12: Yeah, these are two separate people.
- 16:11Speaker 3: All right.
- 16:11Speaker 12: So there's only one past one that I can talk
- 16:14Speaker 12: about because he has since passed on and everything.
- 16:17Speaker 8: Who So that was?
- 16:20Speaker 12: That was Muhammad Albi. I groomed his dogs in two
- 16:23Speaker 12: thousand and eight.
- 16:24Speaker 9: Wow.
- 16:24Speaker 7: Yeah, I went to high school with his grandkids.
- 16:29Speaker 12: Yeah, all right, yep out in McCormick, Ranch and Scott Steale.
- 16:33Speaker 3: That's a cool story. Well, thanks for sharing, thanks for
- 16:34Speaker 3: calling in.
- 16:36Speaker 12: Yeah, absolutely have a good one, guy, Steve.
- 16:38Speaker 3: When you signed then NDA for something?
- 16:42Speaker 15: Talking to me?
- 16:43Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 16:45Speaker 15: Hi John, Jake Stephens from Canada A long time they speak?
- 16:48Speaker 3: Oh hey Stephen, what's your NDA? Who'd you sign NDIA for?
- 16:55Speaker 16: Well?
- 16:55Speaker 15: When the Internet first started from Marknet, I joined the
- 16:58Speaker 15: first cont the first services which were some A O
- 17:01Speaker 15: L GENI, copy serve, you name it, Delphi. I signed
- 17:06Speaker 15: all their NDAs. The worst one was geh. When you
- 17:10Speaker 15: sign it, it was about three hundred pages. And then
- 17:12Speaker 15: they give you the Bible which is the meat ball,
- 17:14Speaker 15: and they say learn it. This is what you kind
- 17:17Speaker 15: of cannot do with it. It was an encyclopedia, uh,
- 17:19Speaker 15: basically what you can do with the GE logo. So yeah,
- 17:23Speaker 15: I've signed many of them. Do they mean anything? Not really?
- 17:26Speaker 13: You know.
- 17:26Speaker 15: I remember at the AOL they told me straight forward.
- 17:29Speaker 15: You know, if you tell some things out, it's gets
- 17:31Speaker 15: in the public.
- 17:32Speaker 3: It gets in the public.
- 17:33Speaker 15: They knew people were going to talk.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, well that's pretty topical. Ge What are
- 17:39Speaker 3: they doing now?
- 17:42Speaker 15: Exactly? I still like kicking in. They're not the top
- 17:46Speaker 15: ten like they were in the world back when with
- 17:47Speaker 15: Jack Wells.
- 17:48Speaker 3: Sh they have Jack Wells.
- 17:52Speaker 5: Phones and where you are in Canada's cool?
- 17:55Speaker 3: All right, I'll see you next month, by the advice.
- 18:01Speaker 3: Are we going to Canada?
- 18:01Speaker 9: No?
- 18:02Speaker 3: I think he's coming here. Oh okay, Mary, you signed
- 18:05Speaker 3: an NDA for what.
- 18:07Speaker 16: For the Ashton Kutcher two and a half Men episodes
- 18:13Speaker 16: when he took over for Charlie Sheen.
- 18:15Speaker 3: Oh was that a secret or something?
- 18:17Speaker 16: It was you can go to studios and watch for
- 18:20Speaker 16: the shows that are taped in front of live audiences.
- 18:23Speaker 16: And my husband and I used to do that quite
- 18:25Speaker 16: a bit. And I had tickets for the second Ashton
- 18:29Speaker 16: Kutcher taping, but they showed the first episode and it
- 18:34Speaker 16: was locked down like it was national secret. I I. Yeah,
- 18:38Speaker 16: it was just really strange. Strange. You had to get
- 18:41Speaker 16: there early.
- 18:41Speaker 6: You usually had to.
- 18:42Speaker 16: Get there early, but you had to get their early
- 18:43Speaker 16: er so you could go through the line and sign
- 18:46Speaker 16: this thing. And it was a sitcom. Yeah, They're like.
- 18:53Speaker 5: Who am I going to tell? Why is this such
- 18:55Speaker 5: a big deal?
- 18:56Speaker 17: Yeah?
- 18:56Speaker 16: And also it was like twenty eleven, and you know,
- 19:00Speaker 16: we're just a couple of nobody's from southern California. Who hell,
- 19:05Speaker 16: you weren't allowed to have what do you call it?
- 19:08Speaker 4: Uh?
- 19:09Speaker 16: Cell phones anyway, So especially those sweet sweet twenty eleven
- 19:13Speaker 16: cell phones.
- 19:14Speaker 3: So thanks Mary Paul. You had to sign an NDA
- 19:17Speaker 3: for what?
- 19:18Speaker 8: Yeah, I worked for a billionaire right here in Phoenix
- 19:21Speaker 8: Paradise Valley. Yeah, and because I was a Jeff in
- 19:25Speaker 8: private residence, it actually became pretty obvious why he wanted
- 19:29Speaker 8: someone to sign an NDA. He was abusive towards his
- 19:34Speaker 8: wife was abusive towards his children. I saw him grab
- 19:38Speaker 8: his ten year old daughter by the ponytail and drag
- 19:41Speaker 8: her through the house.
- 19:41Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, Hey, why would an NDIA cover that?
- 19:45Speaker 5: Shouldn't you report that anyway?
- 19:47Speaker 17: Right now?
- 19:48Speaker 3: Oh? He passed away?
- 19:50Speaker 7: Oh my god.
- 19:50Speaker 8: Yeah, Well, he died in a helicopter accident in North Scottsville.
- 19:55Speaker 8: He he divorced his wife that I worked for at
- 19:58Speaker 8: the time and married some younger woman because he loved
- 20:01Speaker 8: to have kids, so he had a child. And the
- 20:04Speaker 8: count was actually sitting on his lap in the helicopter.
- 20:08Speaker 8: I must have been probably closer to three or something,
- 20:10Speaker 8: because he grabbed the control and the helicopter went straight down.
- 20:14Speaker 3: That's what happened. That's why the helicopter went down, because
- 20:16Speaker 3: the three year old grabbed the control.
- 20:18Speaker 8: I thought was reported.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Yeah, how long ago was this?
- 20:22Speaker 8: You can look it up. His name is Thomas J. Stewart.
- 20:25Speaker 3: Never heard of him, Oh, Payne Stewart, the golfer.
- 20:29Speaker 8: No, Thomas J. Stewart, he owns Food Services of America.
- 20:33Speaker 3: Never heard of him. Wow.
- 20:34Speaker 8: The day we met, he actually pulled out the fourth
- 20:36Speaker 8: to four hundreds and pulled the page open. And Donald
- 20:41Speaker 8: Trump was on the left and he was on the
- 20:43Speaker 8: right back in eighty nine or eighty eight or whatever.
- 20:46Speaker 3: That was. Well, what'd you do for him?
- 20:49Speaker 8: How was the personal? Jeff?
- 20:51Speaker 9: Wow?
- 20:52Speaker 3: All right, Paul, thanks for calling in man.
- 20:55Speaker 8: All right, appreciate it.
- 20:56Speaker 3: Guys. See you got it. See you later if you
- 20:59Speaker 3: have any other ones, she was call eight seven seven
- 21:01Speaker 3: ninety three seven four seven or DM John J. VanNess
- 21:04Speaker 3: it's John Jay and Rich.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Hey, dummy, if you get free roses, it's a trap.
- 21:10Speaker 2: Woar of the Roses starts right now on John Jay
- 21:13Speaker 2: and Rich.
- 21:13Speaker 3: One O four to seven kiss FM, John Jay and
- 21:15Speaker 3: Rich type for War of the Roses. So you're in
- 21:17Speaker 3: a relationship like Jasmine here, and she thinks that whoever
- 21:20Speaker 3: she's in a relationship with is cheating on her. So
- 21:22Speaker 3: we're gonna hear her story. They recall the person that
- 21:25Speaker 3: she thinks is cheating on her, and see who they
- 21:27Speaker 3: send roses to Romantic red Roses. Jasmine. Welcome to John
- 21:31Speaker 3: Jay and Rich War the Roses.
- 21:33Speaker 9: Hey, how you Joan?
- 21:34Speaker 3: Good? What's your story?
- 21:36Speaker 9: I'm just really conflicted because it's my baby's daddy and
- 21:41Speaker 9: I love him. We've been together since high school. So
- 21:44Speaker 9: a really long time we lived together and everything. They
- 21:47Speaker 9: have two kids. But if I'm being perfectly honest, he's
- 21:54Speaker 9: been He's been a dog since I've known him. He's
- 21:57Speaker 9: he's just it's just in him. I don't know what
- 22:00Speaker 9: kind of trauma he's working through, but it's just him.
- 22:03Speaker 9: And you know, I really really love him, and I
- 22:07Speaker 9: keep convincing myself that he's finally going to grow up
- 22:11Speaker 9: and really make our kids and me the priority of
- 22:14Speaker 9: his life instead of being outside and being in these streets.
- 22:20Speaker 9: But I think I'm at my breaking point. Last month,
- 22:22Speaker 9: he disappeared on my birthday for hours and he barely
- 22:28Speaker 9: answered me, and somehow I was the one that ended
- 22:32Speaker 9: up apologizing to him. So I was just like, yeah,
- 22:34Speaker 9: this is this is crazy.
- 22:36Speaker 3: Why did you apologize? What did you say?
- 22:38Speaker 9: It's my birthday and he and he's like late to
- 22:42Speaker 9: my birthday, Like where were you? It's like one day
- 22:45Speaker 9: of the year. I mean, yeah, your kid's birthday too,
- 22:48Speaker 9: but it's one day of the year where it's like
- 22:50Speaker 9: what the hell?
- 22:51Speaker 5: You know what I mean, Well, I'm saying, why did
- 22:54Speaker 5: you apologize?
- 22:56Speaker 9: Overreacting?
- 22:58Speaker 3: I don't think you're overreacting.
- 23:00Speaker 8: He said.
- 23:00Speaker 9: I was overreacting, and I was very upset because at
- 23:03Speaker 9: least he didn't miss all of the festivities.
- 23:05Speaker 8: He only missed the first.
- 23:06Speaker 9: Two hours, which to me is like, is this crazy?
- 23:10Speaker 9: Like you shouldn't you should? I don't know, like you
- 23:12Speaker 9: should be there. He left out of the house while
- 23:15Speaker 9: I was getting ready and then text me and said, babet,
- 23:18Speaker 9: I'll be right back. I'll meet you at the venue,
- 23:20Speaker 9: and never.
- 23:21Speaker 8: Showed up for two hours.
- 23:23Speaker 3: So you think there's another woman.
- 23:26Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 23:27Speaker 3: He swears there was some huge.
- 23:28Speaker 9: Traffic accident holding up traffic, but I checked the live
- 23:32Speaker 9: traffic cameras. I like, I know him, and something in
- 23:37Speaker 9: my gut was telling me something was off and nothing
- 23:40Speaker 9: was happening on the traffic cameras, so like, what's the problem,
- 23:44Speaker 9: you know? And then when I tried to dig deeper
- 23:46Speaker 9: and I'm.
- 23:46Speaker 8: Like, where exactly were you?
- 23:47Speaker 9: Because maybe I checked the wrong cameras. Then he deflects,
- 23:51Speaker 9: and it's messed up because every excuse that he gives
- 23:54Speaker 9: sounds logical for like the first five seconds, but then
- 23:57Speaker 9: it's just like the mass isn't mathing all the time,
- 24:01Speaker 9: and we really a whole life together.
- 24:03Speaker 7: Someone specific that you feel like it might be, like,
- 24:06Speaker 7: is there a reoccurring problem or issue with like one
- 24:10Speaker 7: specific girl.
- 24:11Speaker 9: No, not really, I mean I don't know there was
- 24:16Speaker 9: there was one. There was two girls. One was at
- 24:18Speaker 9: his job and then the other one he knew from
- 24:21Speaker 9: way back when, from our college days.
- 24:25Speaker 4: But I don't.
- 24:27Speaker 13: I don't.
- 24:27Speaker 9: I'm not a stalker. I'm too busy being a wife
- 24:30Speaker 9: and a mother, you know what I mean. So for me,
- 24:33Speaker 9: it's kind of like, I don't know who it could be.
- 24:35Speaker 9: I just want to know if he's cheating or not,
- 24:36Speaker 9: so I could just convince myself I'm not crazy.
- 24:39Speaker 3: No, you're good. You gave us enough reason to do it.
- 24:41Speaker 3: So what is his name?
- 24:43Speaker 9: His name's Ian Ian?
- 24:45Speaker 3: Okay, And he said he's your baby daddy. But is
- 24:47Speaker 3: he your husband or boyfriend?
- 24:49Speaker 9: No, we've been together since high school. No, we refer
- 24:51Speaker 9: to each other as.
- 24:51Speaker 3: Husband and I get it. I get it.
- 24:53Speaker 9: Okay, all right, okay with it?
- 24:55Speaker 8: All right, We're.
- 24:57Speaker 3: Gonna get Ian on the phone and see what we said.
- 24:59Speaker 3: Flowers for Colin? Fuck? Are you ready? I'm okay. War
- 25:02Speaker 3: of the Roses continues next with John Jay and Rich
- 25:04Speaker 3: John Jye Rich, John Jane Rich. We're in the middle
- 25:07Speaker 3: War of the Roses. Jasmine Ian been together for since
- 25:09Speaker 3: high school. And here's the deal. He was a dog
- 25:12Speaker 3: back in the day. Now he's acting really strange. Was
- 25:16Speaker 3: there for only half her birthday. They got two kids together.
- 25:19Speaker 3: She has a list of things she's caught him lying.
- 25:21Speaker 3: She looks at traffic cameras when he says he's like
- 25:23Speaker 3: a traffic and there's no traffic. But she doesn't know.
- 25:26Speaker 3: I get it. He's got good responses at the time,
- 25:28Speaker 3: and then she feels dumb later. But we're gonna call Ian, Jasmine.
- 25:32Speaker 3: I pretty much set it up right there.
- 25:33Speaker 9: Right, yeah, okay.
- 25:35Speaker 3: Okay, So are you ready? Are you here with us?
- 25:37Speaker 3: Are you ready for us to call him? Are you
- 25:40Speaker 3: ready to come?
- 25:41Speaker 14: Let's do it?
- 25:56Speaker 4: Hello, Hi, there is ianavailable? Yeah, yes, absolutely.
- 26:02Speaker 12: So.
- 26:03Speaker 3: My name is Jane. I'm with a company.
- 26:04Speaker 4: We're called J and R Flowers, and just like every
- 26:06Speaker 4: other business, we're trying to get creative with our marketing.
- 26:09Speaker 4: So Ian, you've actually been chosen to be part of
- 26:11Speaker 4: our social media campaign. Here's why it's really cool for you.
- 26:13Speaker 4: You get to send our most romantic bouquet of roses,
- 26:17Speaker 4: totally free and all. We're kind of asking in return
- 26:21Speaker 4: is that you maybe post about us on whichever social
- 26:23Speaker 4: media platform you use the most.
- 26:26Speaker 7: Okay, Yeah, I know you're like, what is the catch?
- 26:29Speaker 12: Ty?
- 26:29Speaker 4: I totally here the skepticism in your voice. But it
- 26:32Speaker 4: really is like when you post about us, like other
- 26:35Speaker 4: people hear about it. So it's like we're getting something
- 26:37Speaker 4: out of it too. And I'm telling you this bouquet
- 26:39Speaker 4: it's our pure passion bookuet. So it's long stem red roses,
- 26:42Speaker 4: beautiful crystal vase, it's it's it just makes anyone swoon.
- 26:45Speaker 4: So if you've got someone special in your life, you
- 26:46Speaker 4: should really take advantage of this.
- 26:50Speaker 7: Yeah, why not? All right?
- 26:52Speaker 4: So, because you are skeptical, I feel the need to
- 26:54Speaker 4: tell you that I'm not going to ask you for
- 26:55Speaker 4: a credit card information or anything like that. Really, the
- 26:59Speaker 4: only info I need from you, Ian is I'm gonna
- 27:01Speaker 4: send the flowers off with a nice little card. And
- 27:03Speaker 4: I usually tell people this is your chance to personalize it,
- 27:06Speaker 4: sort of make it your own. And I just need
- 27:09Speaker 4: to know the message you want to write on the card,
- 27:10Speaker 4: and then we'll talk name and address and I'll give
- 27:13Speaker 4: you a time they'll be delivered.
- 27:15Speaker 6: All right, let's put on there, It's been a dream
- 27:20Speaker 6: getting to know you.
- 27:21Speaker 12: My love.
- 27:22Speaker 3: I love that. It's been a dream getting to know you,
- 27:28Speaker 3: my love.
- 27:29Speaker 4: Okay, and obviously like an xoxo or like a love
- 27:34Speaker 4: ian at the end. Okay, and then who did you
- 27:37Speaker 4: want me to address this to?
- 27:40Speaker 16: Addressed to Sabrina?
- 27:42Speaker 4: Sabrina, Sabrina, Okay, PARTI mother?
- 27:49Speaker 9: Did you just say Sabrina?
- 27:53Speaker 18: Did you just say Sabrina my best friend? Sabrina?
- 27:56Speaker 9: Hey, okay, what is this?
- 27:59Speaker 3: What are you talking?
- 28:02Speaker 18: What I'm talking about?
- 28:03Speaker 13: And you got free flowers from someone and the person's
- 28:05Speaker 13: name is Sabrina my best friend? What am I talking about?
- 28:09Speaker 13: I think it's pretty snobvious what I'm talking about.
- 28:12Speaker 6: Chanceman, Jasmine Relashes, let me explain.
- 28:15Speaker 9: Did you say relaxed?
- 28:17Speaker 18: Are you crazy?
- 28:19Speaker 11: Yeah?

- 28:32Speaker 3: You like that?
- 28:34Speaker 6: I mean, you're making this so much bigger than what
- 28:36Speaker 6: it is.
- 28:37Speaker 9: Yeah, I am, I am, And Sabrina I'm gonna deal
- 28:41Speaker 9: with her too, because I at least expected some loyalty
- 28:44Speaker 9: from that bitch. Both y'all are done.
- 28:47Speaker 19: I wasn't trying to hurt you.
- 28:49Speaker 3: Yeah you were.

- 28:59Speaker 9: No, you choose my best.
- 29:01Speaker 8: Hold up.
- 29:02Speaker 6: You don't even know a story like that, There is
- 29:05Speaker 6: no story.
- 29:05Speaker 13: Why would you send her? Why would you send her flowers?
- 29:08Speaker 13: And how are you getting to know her better?
- 29:11Speaker 6: You know her better? Be real? You and I haven't
- 29:15Speaker 6: been good.
- 29:15Speaker 9: For a long time, my best friend.
- 29:18Speaker 3: But I didn't say that.
- 29:21Speaker 13: Yeah you did in the note.
- 29:23Speaker 8: Why you put words in my mouth?
- 29:27Speaker 9: There's there's no way that you're this stupid. There's no
- 29:31Speaker 9: way you're this stupid.
- 29:33Speaker 19: And you know what, You're not this stupid.
- 29:34Speaker 13: You're a whole and you think that I'm this stupid,
- 29:38Speaker 13: and that's the problem. I'm done so much to you
- 29:43Speaker 13: guys for clearing it up.
- 29:46Speaker 8: I'm not crazy.

- 40:42Speaker 1: like to thank you for listening to John Jay and
- 40:44Speaker 1: Rich real quick.
- 40:46Speaker 3: We want to get into if you know any murderers.
- 40:49Speaker 3: I know that sounds weird, but there's a reason. Noah Lashley,
- 40:53Speaker 3: who's on the show, works in the background, you know,
- 40:55Speaker 3: very connected to the West Valley. Like he will go
- 40:58Speaker 3: to the opening of a bridge, He goes to you know,
- 41:00Speaker 3: those type of things. Whatever is going on right He
- 41:02Speaker 3: is mister West Valley and he came in this morning
- 41:06Speaker 3: and was asking me if I heard of this news story.
- 41:08Speaker 3: And I didn't know the news story. And now guess what,
- 41:11Speaker 3: It's on every single post on my Instagram and it's
- 41:13Speaker 3: all I see it on the news on the TV
- 41:15Speaker 3: behind us. But Noah knows a murderer. This story is
- 41:19Speaker 3: happening right now.
- 41:20Speaker 23: A Glendale woman was found buried in a remote part
- 41:23Speaker 23: of the Arizona Desert after a date with a man
- 41:25Speaker 23: she met online. Glendale police identify that woman as twenty
- 41:30Speaker 23: one year old Arianna Jones. According to court records, twenty
- 41:33Speaker 23: four year old Dominic rod Alico picked Jones up from
- 41:37Speaker 23: her apartment in Glendale on July fifth. The pair went
- 41:40Speaker 23: to a movie together at a theater off of I
- 41:42Speaker 23: seventeen and Happy Valley Road. After the movie, cell phone
- 41:46Speaker 23: data and video surveillance tracked them to a remote desert area.
- 41:50Speaker 23: Investigators searched that area after Jones was reported missing days
- 41:54Speaker 23: later and found a shallow grave with human remains. There
- 41:57Speaker 23: were also other items, including a movie theater cup. Rod
- 42:00Speaker 23: Aaliko was allegedly seen on surveillance cleaning his car. He
- 42:04Speaker 23: told police the pair were attacked by two men. He
- 42:07Speaker 23: was able to get away, but she wasn't. Police say
- 42:10Speaker 23: he never reported that attack to them. They have sufficient
- 42:13Speaker 23: evidence to believe he was allegedly involved.
- 42:15Speaker 3: Crazy, right, that's insane. Crazy. So Noah, how do you
- 42:19Speaker 3: know this murderer?
- 42:20Speaker 17: So it turns out I went to middle school with
- 42:23Speaker 17: Dominick and that is the second incident in five years
- 42:28Speaker 17: involving someone I went to middle school with that I
- 42:30Speaker 17: have heard done something.
- 42:31Speaker 21: Very very bad.
- 42:32Speaker 3: What was the other one?
- 42:34Speaker 21: A guy went on a shooting spree all around the
- 42:37Speaker 21: West Valley, drove up and down the freeways, up and
- 42:39Speaker 21: down the roads to shooting at cars. One person died,
- 42:41Speaker 21: thirteen people were hurt. I was on vacation, but I
- 42:44Speaker 21: would have been driving around doing Instacart that day.
- 42:46Speaker 17: Who was the summer before I started working here at
- 42:48Speaker 17: the radio station.
- 42:49Speaker 3: Oh you got it's been a victim. So now you're
- 42:51Speaker 3: going to tie it in like those people to go.
- 42:52Speaker 3: I was in New York on nine eleven. That could
- 42:54Speaker 3: have been me. That could have been me. You're like,
- 42:56Speaker 3: I drive.
- 42:57Speaker 17: My parents came to pick me up from the airport
- 42:59Speaker 17: that day and.
- 43:00Speaker 21: They were like, thank god you weren't here, and I'm like,
- 43:01Speaker 21: why what happened? And then the next day I found
- 43:04Speaker 21: out who was from the mugshot and was shocked. And
- 43:06Speaker 21: then the same thing happened here. I heard about the
- 43:08Speaker 21: news story, saw the mugshot and was like, oh.
- 43:11Speaker 3: My god, So the guy that you went to middle
- 43:13Speaker 3: school with, that's the murderer right now? Dominic like, if
- 43:16Speaker 3: he saw you'd be like, no, I mean probably not.
- 43:19Speaker 17: I look a lot different than I did back then,
- 43:21Speaker 17: and we haven't.
- 43:23Speaker 3: I knew you when you were thirteen. He was exactly
- 43:25Speaker 3: the same. He dresses the same. You have a little
- 43:29Speaker 3: less facial hair now than you did at thirteen.
- 43:33Speaker 21: Yeah, he I mean, he was like a super kind
- 43:36Speaker 21: kid back then. But you know, we all go down
- 43:38Speaker 21: different paths, and I'm just I'm sad to hear that this.
- 43:41Speaker 3: Was his It's crazy. It's just nuts. So he's he's
- 43:44Speaker 3: like it's happening, Like they caught him like yesterday, right,
- 43:46Speaker 3: Like it's like he's going to court, like this is
- 43:48Speaker 3: all the beginning.
- 43:49Speaker 5: Process ably, no other suspects. If he didn't really if
- 43:52Speaker 5: he said that she didn't get away, she was murdered
- 43:54Speaker 5: and he didn't report that to the police.
- 43:55Speaker 3: Yeah, it's so sad.
- 43:56Speaker 5: That's his story. He's in big trouble.
- 43:58Speaker 3: Pray for the family. So sad. Also, like the guy
- 44:00Speaker 3: was like, gotta bury this movie, cup, I'm a weird man.
- 44:06Speaker 5: Also, don't ever go in first dates. I think it's
- 44:08Speaker 5: probably another lesson too.
- 44:09Speaker 4: I do also think it is a good PSA to
- 44:11Speaker 4: be really careful when you are online dating, like always
- 44:13Speaker 4: have you never known with your location and always have
- 44:15Speaker 4: like a plan, just.
- 44:16Speaker 5: In care And you feel like a movie would be
- 44:18Speaker 5: one of the safest places you could go on a
- 44:20Speaker 5: first date.
- 44:20Speaker 3: What a movie it was? You just didn't like the movie?
- 44:24Speaker 3: Why'd you pick this movie? Peyton. You said you know
- 44:27Speaker 3: a murderer too.
- 44:28Speaker 7: Yeah, well, I don't necessarily know a murderer. I feel
- 44:31Speaker 7: like I'm one degree away though. My memme, my grandma,
- 44:35Speaker 7: who I currently live with, her childhood best friend growing up.
- 44:40Speaker 7: Her older sister was Leslie van Houton from the Manton
- 44:44Speaker 7: murders in the Manson murder family.
- 44:45Speaker 3: But who is Leslie van Hooton.
- 44:47Speaker 7: She was one of the women who went on the spree,
- 44:51Speaker 7: so she wasn't there for the Sharon Tate murder that
- 44:54Speaker 7: night before, but the second night when they came back
- 44:56Speaker 7: and they did their other spree of killings, she was
- 44:59Speaker 7: one of the women who stobbed one of the bodies
- 45:02Speaker 7: something time.
- 45:03Speaker 5: So was she like mind controlled or something like that?
- 45:05Speaker 7: Is that the I don't know, I mean I think,
- 45:07Speaker 7: I mean it was a cult. I mean, yeah, absolutely,
- 45:09Speaker 7: I think there was a lot of you know, mind
- 45:11Speaker 7: control and however you feel you choose to do that.
- 45:13Speaker 7: But it was so bizarre because when my grandma was
- 45:18Speaker 7: pregnant with my mom, she went to go visit Leslie
- 45:21Speaker 7: in prison, and she had like knitted her a baby
- 45:26Speaker 7: outfit and wove her hair through it and gave it
- 45:29Speaker 7: to my Grandma for my mom to wear, and my
- 45:33Speaker 7: mem it was like it was the weirdest thing. She
- 45:35Speaker 7: remembers picking out the hair, And now I'm like, what,
- 45:40Speaker 7: why do you know how much money we could have
- 45:41Speaker 7: gotten if you would have kept the.
- 45:43Speaker 3: Hair with this scenario.
- 45:45Speaker 7: You're not wrong. There is some weird people out there. Yeah,
- 45:51Speaker 7: but I just find it so bizarre that.
- 45:53Speaker 5: That is like, one, I didn't know that you were
- 45:55Speaker 5: that because I know that you you are unusually captivated
- 45:58Speaker 5: by the whole Manson thing.
- 46:00Speaker 7: Yeah, I've read on her Skelter probably five times.
- 46:03Speaker 3: Jennifer, good morning. What's your murder connection?
- 46:07Speaker 9: Hi?
- 46:08Speaker 18: So I grew up with this girl girl scouted like
- 46:12Speaker 18: she was neighbors with my best friend. I totally grew
- 46:15Speaker 18: up with her. She went to college at Slippery Rock
- 46:17Speaker 18: in Pennsylvania, and apparently she got pregnant and she she
- 46:25Speaker 18: hit it the whole time and then she unfortunately like
- 46:30Speaker 18: killed the baby and left it in the garbage. So
- 46:36Speaker 18: she serves like a lot of time in prison. Obviously,
- 46:39Speaker 18: I've don't went here anywhere. I've never talked to her again.
- 46:42Speaker 18: But somebody I totally grew up with did that.
- 46:44Speaker 3: That's crazy, Jennifer. Thanks for sharing that. That's terrible. That's terrible.
- 46:48Speaker 3: So I think I've told the story in the last
- 46:50Speaker 3: ten years or so. But when I I got my
- 46:54Speaker 3: first brand new car ever bought, I went and got
- 46:56Speaker 3: the windows tinted, and the guy showed up to tint
- 46:59Speaker 3: the window. And after he was done, he came to
- 47:01Speaker 3: my He came to the radio station and he put
- 47:04Speaker 3: the window tint on, and then he goes, come in
- 47:07Speaker 3: the car and me show you the window tent. So
- 47:09Speaker 3: I went in the car and I was in the
- 47:10Speaker 3: pasture seat. He was in the driver's seat, and there
- 47:11Speaker 3: were bubbles in the window tent. I'm like, this is terrible.
- 47:15Speaker 3: I go look at these bubbles, and I'm trying to
- 47:17Speaker 3: push the bubbles up and and I'm moving the stuff around.
- 47:19Speaker 3: I go, man, I go ahead, and I can't remember
- 47:21Speaker 3: how much it cost me, but it was like my
- 47:22Speaker 3: first new car, and I was pissed. Anyway, Like a
- 47:26Speaker 3: month later, he goes to prison because they found a
- 47:28Speaker 3: storage room where he had all these chopped up bodies.
- 47:30Speaker 3: And I'm chewing this guy out for bubbles. He's like,
- 47:34Speaker 3: that's the sort of thing. I wish I can remember
- 47:36Speaker 3: his stable in the air before because I remember I've
- 47:38Speaker 3: told the serve before and I googled it and eats
- 47:39Speaker 3: all over the news. It was happened in San Diego.
- 47:41Speaker 3: He's still in prison, got to be still in prison.
- 47:43Speaker 3: He had him, you know those barrels that what do
- 47:46Speaker 3: you call it was like the big barrels.
- 47:47Speaker 5: He like the like the buckets that you put uh
- 47:49Speaker 5: in home depot bucket bigger than that they.
- 47:52Speaker 7: Used used when he was breaking back the bodies.
- 47:57Speaker 3: He had him, and he had these people in as
- 47:59Speaker 3: that could have I know, well, yeah, well he was yeah,
- 48:03Speaker 3: well he was probably to be because I was like,
- 48:05Speaker 3: you do such a bad job. He's like, sorry, I
- 48:06Speaker 3: just killed somebody.
- 48:08Speaker 2: I'm sorry that the bubbles that this was my actual profession.
- 48:12Speaker 3: Sorry I was late.
- 48:13Speaker 5: You should spend less time killing people in six and bubbles.
- 48:15Speaker 3: Sir, My god, Dana, what's up? What's your murder connection?
- 48:18Speaker 10: I went to school with the Buddhist temple murderers here
- 48:22Speaker 10: in Arizona.
- 48:24Speaker 3: Nineteen ninety one, not for mill got to google them.
- 48:27Speaker 10: Two kids from the west side of town and they
- 48:31Speaker 10: murdered some Buddhist monks and robbed them. And at the time,
- 48:35Speaker 10: I'm not sure if it's still is. It was the
- 48:36Speaker 10: largest like mass murder in Arizona history.
- 48:39Speaker 3: Oh wow.
- 48:40Speaker 10: And they I rode the bus to school with one
- 48:43Speaker 10: of them for high school. They went to Alistria High School,
- 48:46Speaker 10: and so media came to our school and I think
- 48:49Speaker 10: a lot of people here locally knew both of them.
- 48:51Speaker 10: Who was really sad because some of us had kind
- 48:53Speaker 10: of grown up with with Alex Garcia was one of
- 48:57Speaker 10: them and knew him, and so it was really shocking.
- 49:00Speaker 3: Yeah, that is crazy day. Well, thank you for sharing
- 49:03Speaker 3: that story with us.
- 49:04Speaker 10: Thank you.
- 49:05Speaker 3: All right, crazy It's John Jay and Rich.
- 49:09Speaker 24: The next segment we're going to do is called second
- 49:11Speaker 24: Date Update because that's what we're going to try and
- 49:14Speaker 24: get and that's what the bit is called Second Dight
- 49:16Speaker 24: Update starts right now on John Jay and Ridge.
- 49:19Speaker 3: One a four to seven Kiss Fab John Jay and
- 49:21Speaker 3: Rich have for Second Ate Update. You meet somebody who
- 49:24Speaker 3: got a date, you have a great time, You expect
- 49:25Speaker 3: there to be your second date. It doesn't happen. You
- 49:28Speaker 3: come to us like Ralph, Ralph, what's up?
- 49:30Speaker 4: Man?
- 49:30Speaker 3: You're on the air.
- 49:31Speaker 19: Hey, Hey, hey guys, how you doing.
- 49:33Speaker 3: What's your story?
- 49:34Speaker 25: So I'm calling because man, I'm genuinely confused and uh,
- 49:40Speaker 25: honestly feeling a little hard because I've been talking to
- 49:44Speaker 25: this girl for a couple of weeks and it was great.
- 49:47Speaker 19: We were vibing when we were texting each other, like
- 49:51Speaker 19: jumping around and being like, you know, really vulnerable and open.
- 49:54Speaker 19: And then we finally went out and I thought it
- 49:56Speaker 19: was like an amazing date. And earlier that I'd wanted
- 50:01Speaker 19: a decent amount of money at the casino, so I figured,
- 50:04Speaker 19: you know, why not spoil her a little, right, So
- 50:07Speaker 19: I took her out to a really nice dinner. We
- 50:09Speaker 19: last the whole night, and we.
- 50:11Speaker 25: Had a conversation flowed, we had some like good drinks,
- 50:14Speaker 25: and she even told me she wanted to do it again.
- 50:16Speaker 19: But then since then, like she's barely answering my texts
- 50:21Speaker 19: like nothing, and she leaves me on Red and now
- 50:24Speaker 19: she's completely ghosted me, and I can't and I'm I'm
- 50:30Speaker 19: wondering if it's because, you know, she was only interested
- 50:34Speaker 19: because I picked up the tab and treated her to
- 50:36Speaker 19: a nice night. I don't know if I did something wrong,
- 50:38Speaker 19: if I completely misread the vibe, or I just got played,
- 50:42Speaker 19: you know, So what do you guys think? Can you
- 50:44Speaker 19: just call her and help me figure out what actually happened.
- 50:47Speaker 3: Yeah, we'll call her for sure.
- 50:49Speaker 7: Did you meet her at the casino and like, oh,
- 50:51Speaker 7: let me take you out because I'm confused, Like I'm not.
- 50:54Speaker 7: I don't think that she would just like ghost you
- 50:56Speaker 7: because you took her out on a date. If you,
- 50:58Speaker 7: guys were had a relationship before hand, you know, we
- 51:01Speaker 7: were we.
- 51:01Speaker 19: Were talking on we were talking on a dating app.
- 51:04Speaker 3: Okay, all right. So you at the casino, you win
- 51:06Speaker 3: a bunch of money, So like, what do you what
- 51:08Speaker 3: do you call a bunch of money?
- 51:10Speaker 19: I won a couple of thousands?
- 51:12Speaker 3: Oh damn, okay, a bunch of money? All right? So
- 51:14Speaker 3: then you took her to dinner and did all that
- 51:15Speaker 3: stuff at the casino or did you go to another restaurant?
- 51:18Speaker 19: We want to another restaurant?
- 51:19Speaker 3: Okay? Wow? And so she was with you? Like, was
- 51:22Speaker 3: she with you? Like you had her blow in the dice?
- 51:24Speaker 3: You know how you do that?
- 51:27Speaker 19: That would be cool?
- 51:28Speaker 4: But no, okay, well, I mean if that happened that night,
- 51:32Speaker 4: it's not like she was playing you because she didn't
- 51:34Speaker 4: know you were going to win.
- 51:35Speaker 7: That's what I'm saying.
- 51:36Speaker 3: Like, maybe she wanted more, Maybe she wanted to buy
- 51:38Speaker 3: her dress.
- 51:38Speaker 7: Right, She's like, you want all this money and.
- 51:41Speaker 12: This is jeep skate.
- 51:42Speaker 3: Yeah, She's like I was the one that.
- 51:45Speaker 7: Hit me or whatever.
- 51:50Speaker 3: All right, I told her.
- 51:51Speaker 19: I was like, hey, I had a pretty lucky night
- 51:53Speaker 19: and like I think we should celebrate together. And she
- 51:55Speaker 19: would seem really excited.
- 51:57Speaker 5: Hmmm, Well, maybe you gave better phone and you do
- 52:00Speaker 5: in person, Like maybe the texting before from the app
- 52:03Speaker 5: was more exciting than the date, or maybe.
- 52:05Speaker 7: He just maybe it just wasn't a good date.
- 52:07Speaker 3: Yeah, but she was with you when you won the money.
- 52:09Speaker 3: She was with you in the casino.
- 52:12Speaker 19: No, no, no, she was not with.
- 52:15Speaker 5: Okay, he said he won a bunch of money, so
- 52:17Speaker 5: he figured he'd splurge on the date.
- 52:19Speaker 3: Okay, so she knows you won a bunch of money.
- 52:22Speaker 19: Yeah, so I'm.
- 52:23Speaker 3: Assuming the date wasn't at the level that she expected,
- 52:26Speaker 3: knowing that you want a bunch of money? Where's my helicopter?
- 52:29Speaker 3: We read where where's my Where's that? Maybe something like that?
- 52:33Speaker 3: All right, A right, let's call her. Okay, what's her name, Ralph, Maria? Mariah?
- 52:37Speaker 3: All Right, We're gonna get Mariah on the phone and
- 52:40Speaker 3: go over this story. Find out why she's now blowing
- 52:42Speaker 3: you off. He has anything to do with.
- 52:44Speaker 14: The money You're on?
- 52:45Speaker 3: All right?
- 52:45Speaker 26: So hang tag second and update continues next with John
- 52:47Speaker 26: Jay and Rich. John Jay and Rich, we're like a
- 52:50Speaker 26: whole lot John Jay and Rich. We're in the middle
- 52:52Speaker 26: of second date update. Ralph and Mariah.
- 52:55Speaker 5: Well, Ralph, he is generally confused. He talked a lot
- 52:59Speaker 5: to Mariah on a dating app. They got along so
- 53:02Speaker 5: great that when he won a bunch of money in
- 53:05Speaker 5: a casino, he thought he would whine and dine in
- 53:08Speaker 5: splurge on Mariah. He treated her to a night of
- 53:12Speaker 5: spending his jackpot. But then the communication has gone bust.
- 53:16Speaker 5: She is shutting him down like Ocean's eleven, and he
- 53:21Speaker 5: can't figure out why he went bust. Let's find out, all.
- 53:25Speaker 3: Right, Ralth, that was a good recap, would you say, Ralph,
- 53:27Speaker 3: that's what happened? No, yeah, all right, we're gonna call
- 53:31Speaker 3: Mariah right now and we're gonna find out why she's
- 53:33Speaker 3: blowing off. How long ago was his date? Money bags?
- 53:38Speaker 19: This is like about ten days ago.
- 53:40Speaker 27: Okay, hie, hold on, Hi is this Mariah?
- 53:51Speaker 11: Hi?
- 53:51Speaker 7: My name is Peyton. I'm with John Jay and Rich
- 53:53Speaker 7: and we just wanted to talk to you on the
- 53:54Speaker 7: radio about a few things this morning, if you're free
- 53:57Speaker 7: of course.
- 54:00Speaker 8: He.
- 54:02Speaker 28: Okay, sure.
- 54:04Speaker 3: So well, we were on vacation last week and like
- 54:08Speaker 3: Kyle was telling us her story how she was in
- 54:09Speaker 3: Vegas for vacation, and we were talking about gambling and
- 54:12Speaker 3: winning money and how she was able to have just
- 54:15Speaker 3: family time in Vegas because Vegas is very family driven.
- 54:17Speaker 3: Then we got a call from a guy telling us
- 54:19Speaker 3: the story about how he won some money in a
- 54:22Speaker 3: casino and he was on a date with you. Oh,
- 54:27Speaker 3: oh my god, you follow.
- 54:28Speaker 28: Where I'm going and you, guys, I thought you were
- 54:30Speaker 28: going to tell me that I literally like want a
- 54:32Speaker 28: trip to Vegas.
- 54:33Speaker 3: No, well, you know we will be giving away trips
- 54:35Speaker 3: to Vegas to the iHeartRadio Music Festival. If you keep listening,
- 54:38Speaker 3: we will we will be doing that, thank you.
- 54:42Speaker 28: Okay, Wait, is this about Ralph?
- 54:45Speaker 3: Yes, Ralph called us and said that he went on
- 54:48Speaker 3: a date with you and you guys were texting before
- 54:51Speaker 3: and then you went on the date. Now he doesn't
- 54:52Speaker 3: hear from you anymore. You leave him on red And
- 54:54Speaker 3: it's one of the details he brought up was how
- 54:56Speaker 3: he won money at a casino, so we thought maybe
- 54:59Speaker 3: that had something to do with so we thought we'd
- 55:00Speaker 3: just call you and get your whole point of view.
- 55:02Speaker 28: Mariah, Oh my gosh, Okay, I feel like if I
- 55:09Speaker 28: tell you what actually turned me off, that it's going
- 55:12Speaker 28: to make me sound really shallow.
- 55:15Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 55:15Speaker 5: Not in a first date. Anything's fine in a first date.
- 55:18Speaker 28: Okay, well all right, I mean everything was great, honestly, Like,
- 55:24Speaker 28: it started off great.
- 55:25Speaker 10: I thought that Ralph.
- 55:27Speaker 28: Was funny and sweet, and then I noticed that he
- 55:33Speaker 28: was carrying a purse, like like a man purse, which
- 55:38Speaker 28: is okay, I mean, it's not not a deal breaker, obviously,
- 55:42Speaker 28: but then he unzipped the purse and pulled out an
- 55:47Speaker 28: entire bottle of tequila, not kidding. Instead of ordering cocktails,
- 55:51Speaker 28: he ordered mocktails like Virgin Margarita's, and then when no
- 55:57Speaker 28: one was looking, he topped them off with the tequila
- 56:00Speaker 28: that he brought from his man purse.
- 56:05Speaker 3: Different.
- 56:05Speaker 12: Okay, have you.
- 56:06Speaker 7: Ever heard of that?
- 56:07Speaker 28: I mean, that's am I like, I was mortified? Am
- 56:10Speaker 28: I wrong to be so mortified?
- 56:12Speaker 3: Like it was?
- 56:13Speaker 28: We were at a nice restaurant and I was literally
- 56:18Speaker 28: screaming and tied and panicking and you know, praying that
- 56:22Speaker 28: we weren't going to get kicked out. I don't know,
- 56:25Speaker 28: it just it just completely changed like how I saw him.
- 56:30Speaker 28: And then yeah, he brought up the whole casino thing.
- 56:34Speaker 28: He kept talking about how he just won all this
- 56:37Speaker 28: money at a casino, and it's like, if that's true,
- 56:39Speaker 28: why are you sneaking liquor into a nice restaurant. I
- 56:43Speaker 28: don't know. It just I don't know. It came off
- 56:49Speaker 28: very cheap, not smart, and not resourceful like he maybe
- 56:54Speaker 28: saw it. It was came off cheap and and I'm
- 56:58Speaker 28: sorry that I ghosted him. I just I didn't. I
- 57:04Speaker 28: don't know. I didn't want to tell him because I
- 57:06Speaker 28: thought that I would sound rude if I told him,
- 57:08Speaker 28: so i'd just stop responding.
- 57:09Speaker 19: And that's where you're ghosting me over tequila. Well yea, yeah, hey,
- 57:17Speaker 19: mar point the whole point was that they didn't.
- 57:20Speaker 28: Want to hurt your feelings.
- 57:21Speaker 6: Sound rude.
- 57:23Speaker 28: I don't know you were on the phone.
- 57:25Speaker 19: Yeah, yeah, so you ghosted me. So I called John
- 57:29Speaker 19: Jay and Ridge to figure out what happened. Okay, Well, so.
- 57:34Speaker 25: I'm sitting here thinking I said something wrong or maybe
- 57:38Speaker 25: like you met somebody else.
- 57:41Speaker 19: But it's because I had tequila.
- 57:45Speaker 28: I mean, it wasn't just the tequila, like obviously you
- 57:51Speaker 28: catch where I like, it wasn't you have tequila? What
- 57:56Speaker 28: was it the whole thing welf like the man the
- 58:04Speaker 28: ordering virgin like virgin Margarita's just so you could spike
- 58:08Speaker 28: them yourself, Like you don't think that that's embarrassing.
- 58:12Speaker 19: I was, hold on, it's not a man. Hold on,
- 58:14Speaker 19: it's not a man person. I'll say, that's embarrassing me,
- 58:16Speaker 19: Like it's a crossbody.
- 58:20Speaker 28: Watched you unhipp it like Mary Poppins. Okay, I had
- 58:24Speaker 28: no idea what was coming out next series.
- 58:26Speaker 5: Mary Poppins isn't pulling out tequila at least not the
- 58:30Speaker 5: vision I saw because.
- 58:31Speaker 3: A flask or something.
- 58:33Speaker 7: And they get.
- 58:35Speaker 5: So if you're splurgeon on the dinner, then why b yob.
- 58:41Speaker 19: Well, I was saving money.
- 58:42Speaker 28: And giving money like you literally just told me that
- 58:47Speaker 28: you won over three thousand dollars at a casino. That's
- 58:50Speaker 28: a ton of.
- 58:51Speaker 19: Money exactly, And that's how you like keep your winnings.
- 58:56Speaker 28: No, that is how to get banned from restaurants and
- 58:59Speaker 28: not make a good impression on a first date like
- 59:02Speaker 28: this is a first date this is your.
- 59:05Speaker 19: Look nobody even noticed and okay.
- 59:07Speaker 6: But that way it is.
- 59:09Speaker 28: I noticed, I noticed Ralph, and that should be the
- 59:11Speaker 28: only person whose opinion that should have mattered to you
- 59:14Speaker 28: on that date.
- 59:16Speaker 19: Like I genuine thought, I genuinely thought you thought it
- 59:20Speaker 19: would be funny.
- 59:23Speaker 28: And wanted to crawl under the table.
- 59:27Speaker 19: So instead of telling me, you just ghost me.
- 59:34Speaker 28: Like, I'm sorry, I yeah, I go see you. I
- 59:38Speaker 28: don't know, like, how do you text someone? Hey, I
- 59:40Speaker 28: don't want to see you again because you turned a
- 59:42Speaker 28: nice restaurant into a be wyod. I don't know how
- 59:47Speaker 28: you I just thought it was better to just let
- 59:50Speaker 28: it go and make it clear that I wasn't interested anymore.
- 59:56Speaker 19: Okay, Like, listen, I.
- 59:58Speaker 28: Don't think you're I had fun talking to you, but
- 1:00:04Speaker 28: I just after that, like I, I just don't think
- 1:00:08Speaker 28: we're compatible, and I would suggest that you don't do
- 1:00:12Speaker 28: that on a first state.
- 1:00:14Speaker 19: Well again, I thought it was fun, to be honest. Still,
- 1:00:17Speaker 19: I still think it's fun, whether you're going to high
- 1:00:19Speaker 19: end restaurant or I don't know, Denny's, Like I like,
- 1:00:25Speaker 19: I think breaking the rules is fun and cute, but
- 1:00:27Speaker 19: you know, next time maybe for you? Sure? Well, but
- 1:00:32Speaker 19: next time, like like, were you just told me right now?
- 1:00:34Speaker 19: You know, like I was stressing out for a couple
- 1:00:37Speaker 19: of days, and maybe next time, just be upfront so
- 1:00:40Speaker 19: I'm not like playing back other things and thinking it
- 1:00:44Speaker 19: was me now, like hearing it out louder, like if
- 1:00:47Speaker 19: it tequila, it sounds so stupid.
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: So just so you know, like just to get her
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: point of view, I get your point of view, right,
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: I also get his point of view too. He's a vibe,
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: he's fun, he's you know, he's like, I'm I could
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: see people doing that.
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: At first he said he was doing it to save money, right,
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: and then she was like it seems a little cheap.
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: And then he was like, but do you need to
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: be fun and you know, risky right and save money?
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: All three of those could be true. I mean, you know,
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: it's like with somebody brings alcohol into a concert, right.
- 1:01:15Speaker 7: I mean, I've definitely brought in like a water bottle
- 1:01:17Speaker 7: filled with vodka and spiked my drinks before, Like that's
- 1:01:20Speaker 7: a thing, But I would never do that on a date.
- 1:01:23Speaker 7: I'm doing that with my girlfriends on a Friday night.
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: I would think for the first date, you wouldn't do that,
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: But I can also understand him feeling comfortable. Ye, too
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: bad it didn't work out that. I mean, I can
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: see you kind of be funny. You're at a very
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: fancy restaurant. You bust out a bottle tequila, and you'd
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: be like, what, you're saving eight bucks?
- 1:01:37Speaker 5: Like that just lets you know that she doesn't like
- 1:01:38Speaker 5: them that much. But that was cute to.
- 1:01:39Speaker 22: Her, supposed to do that, right, Well, she's also probably
- 1:01:44Speaker 22: sitting there like if we get caught or it's going
- 1:01:46Speaker 22: to be so embarrassing, right, and she's like, yeah.
- 1:01:50Speaker 28: Yeah, I shouldn't have ghosted you. I'm sorry. Yeah, that's
- 1:01:56Speaker 28: the honest truth. And I just don't think we're compatible.
- 1:01:59Speaker 28: But you are a great guy, and I'm wishing you
- 1:02:01Speaker 28: the best. And I don't know.
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: What else, you know. It's like it's like my wife
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: sometimes will go to a restaurant if we've been there
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: before she has she likes fresh avocado, and sometimes she'll
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: bring an avocado to the restaurant when we ordered. It's
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: kind of embarrassing, but she's my wife and I've been
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: with her for a long time. If I was on
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: the first date she busted on avocado out of her
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: first I like what the heck? You know they charge
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: a dollar for this, So I'm like, yeah, well, okay,
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: she brought her own avocado. But we're also married. We've
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: been together a long time. But anyway, all right, I
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: get it, Ralph, I get it. Mariah, thank you both
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: for jumping on the air with us.
- 1:02:37Speaker 28: Yeah, I'm talking to you.
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: Got it. Thanks for listening, Mariah. All right, that's second

- 1:02:57Speaker 3: What are you doing right now?
- 1:02:59Speaker 6: I'm living to work, but I'm so excited I had
- 1:03:02Speaker 6: to call it.
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: Where do you work? What do you do for a living?
- 1:03:07Speaker 6: So I actually work in a education administration.
- 1:03:11Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I saw that. Today's the first day of
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: school for a lot of places.
- 1:03:14Speaker 5: My boy Christopher started back at school today and he
- 1:03:16Speaker 5: said the bus didn't show up. I'm like, I have
- 1:03:22Speaker 5: spent so long on the phone with the bust people
- 1:03:25Speaker 5: getting the schedule ready. Like it's like a part time
- 1:03:28Speaker 5: job for me. Bus didn't even show up.
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: You mean he doesn't go to a bus stop. He does.
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: Oh, it didn't show up, so him and his friends
- 1:03:34Speaker 5: were just standing around. One of their moms took him.
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: Oh. I just saw on the news like it's the
- 1:03:38Speaker 3: headline is first day of school today. That would piss
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: me off so much.
- 1:03:43Speaker 5: It feels like a punishment.
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: It feels like because it's so early.
- 1:03:46Speaker 7: To me, it does feel pretty early.
- 1:03:47Speaker 11: It seems like.
- 1:03:48Speaker 5: The first day of school. It feels like maybe they're
- 1:03:50Speaker 5: in detention.
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: Growing up here. My birthday was always around the first
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: day of school, which is September, and that's it just
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: seems normal to me. I just can't understand going to
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: school today because it's wild, so sorry that you have
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: to go to that.
- 1:04:03Speaker 7: First day of school is so fun. You get to
- 1:04:05Speaker 7: show off your new outfits, all your fun stuff. I
- 1:04:07Speaker 7: love it.
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: Okay, but that could happen in September. All right, Christina,
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: let's play you're playing for Doja cat tickets?
- 1:04:14Speaker 12: Oh yes, but no, I completely understand that early and earlier.
- 1:04:17Speaker 12: But then the kids have longer breaks, which they like
- 1:04:19Speaker 12: and get to spend time with this out whole what game.
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: We're gonna play?
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: Nick, You guys were playing Noise Machine. Today.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: We're giving away Doja Cat tickets, so I figured it

- 1:04:30Speaker 1: Noise Machine where we I quit you on house pets Okay, cool, okay?
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: From ten and to one.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: According to the Google these are the most popular house
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: pets in the.
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: In the nation. We're gonna start with John Jay.
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: So that is a sound that a house pet makes.
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: Mm hmm. What kind of pet is that? John Jay?
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: Wow?
- 1:04:58Speaker 14: Man?
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: Is that a turtle?
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: A turtle? A turtle is a good guess. We were
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: looking for what is you?
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: What do you think it.
- 1:05:08Speaker 7: Sounded like like a slithering sneak?
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: We were looking for snake.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: Good job, Peyton, Yeah, that was, in fact a snake,
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: the tenth most popular type of pet.
- 1:05:17Speaker 7: I could not sleep if there was a snake in
- 1:05:19Speaker 7: my house pet or not?
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: Yes, because they're watching you watch agreed?
- 1:05:24Speaker 3: Okay, real quick. We had a garden snake or garden
- 1:05:27Speaker 3: snake in school in eighth grade and I got to
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: take it home and it got out. Never found it again.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: I wonder it's still alive. Okay, moving on, Rich, is
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: that a ferret? Stuck in a wall, a ferret in
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: a wall. That's very specific. It's neither of those things.
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: Anybody have a guess.
- 1:05:57Speaker 7: It sounded like a ferret, like a hamster.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: Ninth most popular pet in America is a guinea pig.

- 1:06:30Speaker 7: what I'm talking about.
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: Yes, I know this is a generic answer, so.
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: I want to steal. Okay, it sounds like my wife
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: and I doing it when the kids in the other room.
- 1:06:41Speaker 7: Is that like a yeah, like a lizard or something?
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: Here than I was standing outside your bedroom with a microphone, CRUs.

- 1:07:03Speaker 1: we'll move on now. No one on the board just yet, Kyle.
- 1:07:13Speaker 4: So that is definitely because most people who have turtles
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: have teenage ninja turtles.
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: Yeah, we were looking for turtle, that's right, Yeah, yeah,
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: turtle noises in real life aren't super fun?
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: That one is all.

- 1:07:41Speaker 1: guest in the room.
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: And my wife's out of town.
- 1:07:50Speaker 7: What is that?
- 1:07:53Speaker 5: And that's the fifth or sixth most popular?

- 1:08:22Speaker 1: Kit we could have kept We should just stuck with the.
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: Mammals on this That that, in fact was a.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: Hamster, sounded like a bird. It's a nice try. That's
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: all right, John.
- 1:08:33Speaker 11: J uh.
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: Hey, Rich, it's your turn.
- 1:08:41Speaker 3: I know what that is.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: Uh huh, there you go. It's a bird. Good job,
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: Riche tying up with Kyle. Move on, uh to the
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: what is a seventh eighth most popular pet in America?
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: To Pat hell a Nuggati.
- 1:08:58Speaker 11: Day, Yes, I don't know.
- 1:09:16Speaker 7: Can I steal your brother?
- 1:09:18Speaker 4: Go ahead, Kyle, that's my husband whose nickname is fish.
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: That fish is that fish doing that.
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: Naked?
- 1:09:29Speaker 7: That's totally fish.
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: Clever?
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: Nice, nice try Peyton. Okay, Kyle gets that point. Kyle,
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: it's your turn now too. Here's the second most popular
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: pet in America.
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: That is a cat.
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: Here we go, all right, all the marbles on the
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: on the line here for Christina.
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: If you can get this, I'm gonna ward you fourteen points.

- 1:10:13Speaker 3: Thank you so much for listening. To have a great
- 1:10:14Speaker 3: day at work today.
- 1:10:15Speaker 8: Thank you.
- 1:10:16Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: If that last segment offended you, I am really really sorry.
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: Please email our management at your mom at iHeartRadio dot
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: your mom dot com.
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: It's John Jay and Rich Mayton's gonna bring something up.
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: And I don't know why, but I have this whenever
- 1:10:32Speaker 3: Peyton brings something up, I want to present this song.
- 1:10:35Speaker 3: I want this to be like Peyton's theme. Hey, Like
- 1:10:37Speaker 3: I'll be like, hey, Peyton's got something.
- 1:10:43Speaker 7: I like it.
- 1:10:44Speaker 12: I like it.
- 1:10:45Speaker 3: Peyton's place.
- 1:10:48Speaker 7: Well, No, I was scurling on Instagram and I found
- 1:10:50Speaker 7: out that gen Z has a new travel vocabulary, and
- 1:10:53Speaker 7: I was like what, And it's genius. Like mic rotation
- 1:10:58Speaker 7: a short getaway lasting at youwhere from twenty four to
- 1:11:01Speaker 7: seventy two hours and you just design it to like
- 1:11:04Speaker 7: fit your everyday life. Then like an actual big.
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: Vacation, so we can get away.
- 1:11:08Speaker 27: We can get away, but it's a Micromich gen Z millennial.
- 1:11:13Speaker 3: We can get away.
- 1:11:14Speaker 7: Yes, okay, we all know room rotting right like you
- 1:11:17Speaker 7: like no room rotting, Oh my gosh. It's like when
- 1:11:19Speaker 7: you travel but you don't really have like an agenda.
- 1:11:22Speaker 7: So like say you go to like a beach town,
- 1:11:24Speaker 7: but you just want a room rod all day and
- 1:11:26Speaker 7: look from the beach from your windows.
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, like a vacation room rotting.
- 1:11:31Speaker 4: Most people go vacation and then actually get out of
- 1:11:33Speaker 4: their hotel room to stay in your hotel room.
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: I started that.
- 1:11:39Speaker 7: Canon event, a spontaneous moment that becomes more memorable than
- 1:11:43Speaker 7: anything that you actually plan.
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: What is it again?
- 1:11:45Speaker 7: A canon event?
- 1:11:47Speaker 5: Canon becomes part of the story of your life.
- 1:11:51Speaker 7: It's like one of those things that happened, but like
- 1:11:52Speaker 7: that you didn't think was gonna happen. You're talking about
- 1:11:54Speaker 7: at two am. It's like, oh my gosh, there's no.
- 1:11:56Speaker 3: Way I need an example. I don't understand.
- 1:11:59Speaker 7: A canon event would be like a spontaneous moment.
- 1:12:05Speaker 4: Literally Rich and Stacey running into Travis Kelsey and they're.
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: Going to a wedding somewhere and bump into Okay, so
- 1:12:15Speaker 3: it was there. You were there for something, an event,
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: and meanwhile it's all about Travis.
- 1:12:18Speaker 5: And it could be also that you go somewhere where
- 1:12:21Speaker 5: they're shooting off cannons event.
- 1:12:23Speaker 7: That's yeah, that's that's possible, okay. D influenced travel choosing
- 1:12:28Speaker 7: destinations that feel personal rather than places made famous by
- 1:12:31Speaker 7: social media. So you go somewhere that's like near and
- 1:12:34Speaker 7: dear to your heart, like the way that you should
- 1:12:36Speaker 7: go to Ireland because my name is Ireland.
- 1:12:38Speaker 3: But you're not doing it for the GRAM. You're going
- 1:12:39Speaker 3: to you're going on vacation because that's where you want
- 1:12:41Speaker 3: to go on vacation.
- 1:12:43Speaker 5: G Z can't can't even consider that, Like, why do
- 1:12:46Speaker 5: we go somewhere that we can't We can't live on
- 1:12:48Speaker 5: the ground.
- 1:12:49Speaker 7: What's D influence travel?
- 1:12:54Speaker 3: What we call normal travel. We're going to.
- 1:12:58Speaker 7: Mirror trip, which is a trip planned around your personality
- 1:13:02Speaker 7: or interest, your identity rather than like a traditional checklist.
- 1:13:05Speaker 7: So if you like to go thrifting or you like
- 1:13:07Speaker 7: to do things like that, you will go specifically to
- 1:13:09Speaker 7: a town where they're known for their thrifting or something
- 1:13:12Speaker 7: like that.
- 1:13:13Speaker 3: Are their towns known for thrifting?
- 1:13:14Speaker 7: Yeah? Like New York, there's a couple of pl Like
- 1:13:17Speaker 7: there's Magazine Street in New Orleans that's huge for thrifting.
- 1:13:20Speaker 7: I'm sure there's some spots in San Diego. Okay. A
- 1:13:23Speaker 7: y cation a trip inspired by a feeling or mood
- 1:13:27Speaker 7: rather than like a specific destination. So it's like I
- 1:13:30Speaker 7: wasn't looking for a place, I was looking for peace.
- 1:13:33Speaker 3: So that's like going to Mirrorvall or something like that,
- 1:13:35Speaker 3: where you go to get away. There's this other place
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: I've heard about, Castle Springs Spring, Yes, yeah, have you
- 1:13:42Speaker 3: heard of that place? Yeah? I've talked to two people
- 1:13:45Speaker 3: recently have been there. What do you do? Just jump
- 1:13:47Speaker 3: in the They have like hot spring, but they have
- 1:13:49Speaker 3: stuff that's like what Peyton's talking about.
- 1:13:51Speaker 4: Ye, And it's like you either have to like helicopter
- 1:13:54Speaker 4: in or ride a long time on a dirt road.
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: Yeah, that's funny, that's exactly was described to me, and
- 1:13:59Speaker 3: they told me the dirt road drive is miserable, and
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: you'll see why everyone helicopter's in. I'm like, how do
- 1:14:03Speaker 3: you just helicopter in? Where do you go get a
- 1:14:06Speaker 3: They make it seem like it's just a cab service, right,
- 1:14:08Speaker 3: where do you go get a helicopter?
- 1:14:09Speaker 4: Just grab grab a helicopter like an uber.
- 1:14:11Speaker 3: You got a helicopter in. We have a lot more
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: customers if they put in a decent road. Well, yeah,
- 1:14:16Speaker 3: someday I'll go your ykation.
- 1:14:18Speaker 7: Okay, Local lore hunting, so you're exploring the everyday side
- 1:14:22Speaker 7: of a destination, from the neighborhood markets to local hangout.
- 1:14:25Speaker 7: So skip the tourist traps. Let's go where the locals go.
- 1:14:28Speaker 7: So you go to like Paris and you ask a
- 1:14:30Speaker 7: local where's the spots that I go? And you skip
- 1:14:32Speaker 7: all the touristy stuff.
- 1:14:33Speaker 3: Okay. So the thing is with that that sounds like
- 1:14:35Speaker 3: something again people have always done. Now you're just putting
- 1:14:37Speaker 3: labels on it now. Yeah, because like when we were
- 1:14:40Speaker 3: in we where was I and we went to the places?
- 1:14:42Speaker 3: Oh yeah we were we were in San Diego. We
- 1:14:44Speaker 3: were in del Mar a while ago. In del Mar
- 1:14:47Speaker 3: and we're walking or standing around by the place where at
- 1:14:49Speaker 3: and someone told my wife about a little place in
- 1:14:51Speaker 3: the neighborhood. They turned a house into a cafe. Nobody
- 1:14:54Speaker 3: knows about it unless you live in that neighborhood. And
- 1:14:56Speaker 3: it was packed.
- 1:14:56Speaker 7: That's awesome.
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: So that's called what that is called local lore.
- 1:15:00Speaker 7: Are hunting. This one's my favorite meant to be travel
- 1:15:03Speaker 7: trip a trip where you go because you're overwhelmed and
- 1:15:06Speaker 7: desperately need a break. It wasn't like a vacation, it
- 1:15:10Speaker 7: was just because you had a mental health to you
- 1:15:12Speaker 7: have to for your mental health to go on this trip.
- 1:15:15Speaker 7: Then you have side questing, which we know it's like
- 1:15:17Speaker 7: you go on another trip. Within the trip, you have
- 1:15:19Speaker 7: an anti intinerary trip, which is where you travel with
- 1:15:22Speaker 7: a little to no schedule.
- 1:15:23Speaker 3: You just got whim. That's my favorite dry.
- 1:15:25Speaker 7: Tripping, which is choosing rest, nature, meaningful experiences, over night life.
- 1:15:31Speaker 7: So there is your gen Z travel list.
- 1:15:34Speaker 4: It's very long, Like, you know, do we need all
- 1:15:38Speaker 4: those terms?
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: Do you already actually using those terms?
- 1:15:44Speaker 7: Meant to travel a couple times?
- 1:15:46Speaker 8: Okay?
- 1:15:46Speaker 29: On the side trip, the side trip, would you call
- 1:15:50Speaker 29: that quest? Yeah? Side question? Okay, when I was in college.
- 1:15:54Speaker 29: I went with to my buddies. We backpacked through Europe
- 1:15:57Speaker 29: and one of the things we did is you have
- 1:15:58Speaker 29: your home base, then we go on these day trips.
- 1:16:01Speaker 29: If one of my friends, we're gonna go side quest.
- 1:16:04Speaker 29: We were talking about.
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: It's like that, why are you making names? Is like
- 1:16:08Speaker 3: we need names the thing we're doing everything. I guess, well,
- 1:16:12Speaker 3: thank you Peyton Whitmore. Yes, he's Peyton's segment music. But
- 1:16:18Speaker 3: John Jay and Rich, in.
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: The eternal battle of morning show supremacy, we.
- 1:16:26Speaker 7: Are one of them.
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: It's John Jay and Rich
