  You know, this one just out of nowhere is an impromptu episode because,

  you know, I always give myself enough time to go to work.

  And the reason why is because you just never know what's going to happen.

  And I talk about this a lot on this show. And it's about not rushing,

  not trying to get to your destination last minute.

  Because quite honestly, as

  I come off the Route 17, there's traffic because of a major car accident.

  And today we're going to talk about not rushing, give yourself time Have faith,

  let it begin, starts right now Have faith, let it begin, and it starts right now.

  Good morning, everyone, and welcome to Have Faith, Let It Begin. This is Angel Santana.

  And first and foremost, thoughts and prayers for the victims and of this crazy
• 1:20
  accident that's literally right off of our road here, you know, in Middletown.

  It's, thank God, in a way that the accident, you know, not that it occurred,
• 1:30
  but that it did happen near the hospital because clearly someone was hospitalized from this.
• 1:37
  It appears that the other driver was out of the vehicle And on his own,
• 1:41
  he was in a utility truck. So it looks like he was able to withstand the blow.
• 1:45
  But clearly, you know, the other car, which was a sports car is completely totaled.
• 1:50
  And the airbags were deployed.

  Why am I talking about this? Well, it's not, it's not to bring up a negative
• 1:56
  way to start the morning. It's to remind every one of us that there's no reason to rush.

  You know, there's no reason to get to work in record fashion time.

  Listen, I slept in this morning. Okay. I was late for myself.
• 2:10
  I was late the way I was trying to come into work, but I still gave myself time to get to work.

  And, you know, this is why, you know, you have to take your time and people
• 2:22
  can say right now, well, how do you know that they were not rushing?
• 2:25
  It was just a freak accident. You know, I don't know.
• 2:27
  I don't. But quite often on this particular road, you know, when I'm driving
• 2:33
  in around this hour, that's what I've seen in my 11 years of working here.

  It's these people that are just driving and they're just speeding and they're
• 2:41
  trying to beat the light and they're trying to get there. And,
• 2:44
  and, and because they're trying to beat the light, you know,
• 2:47
  other cars are going and they're not paying attention.
• 2:49
  And then next thing, you know, wham, bam, and you have a car accident. So.
• 2:55
  Please don't rush. We all have families. We all have people that love us.

  We all do our very best to go to work so we can get paid, so we can put food
• 3:06
  on the table, keep roofs over our children and our family's heads.

  And there's no reason why you can't come home because you chose not to get up

  10 minutes, 15 minutes earlier.

  And I just hope and pray that everybody's okay.

  I'm hoping that whatever happened from this is allowing me to give you this message.

  And if you're that person already speeding right now and you're listening to

  Have Faith, Let It Begin, I would ask you to slow down or even turn off the

  podcast and pay attention because your safety means more to me than anything.

  I don't want to see any child go without their families, no parents burying

  their children and no one dying to you or dying too soon, especially when you're

  healthy and you're trying to do what you can to get to your next destination.
