- 1:01you. So help me God, someone else
- 1:03will raise this fundament Military Broadcast Radio, the
- 1:14station that's giving veterans a voice Find.

- 1:21this program are those of the speakers and do not necessarily
- 1:26reflect the views or positions of any entities they.
- 1:29Represent find. Us on the web at MB radio dot
- 1:33web. Age is in the building now.
- 2:10You haven't seen on it yet? Well, they supported us.
- 2:38Now it's our turn to support them.
- 2:48We're trying to make dreams come true.
- 2:59Ladies and gentlemen, welcome. Welcome.
- 3:03It is time broadcasting from not only Denver, Co, but from
- 3:11Pennsylvania too. Ladies and gentlemen, it is the
- 3:14first time that the A Strange Show has been on since 2022.
- 3:19Welcome. And MJ, MJ is my guest Co host.
- 3:26MJ was in the Air Force and you know, she had she had a bunch of
- 3:33missions that she can't talk about it.
- 3:34But MJ, I'm, I'm glad that you're here with me.
- 3:38I am so excited. HI Mean the man behind the myth.
- 3:43I am jumping right on this mic with you today.
- 3:45I couldn't wait for that honor. I'm so happy to be here and so
- 3:49excited for some of these these guests and things that we're
- 3:52going to talk about. I'm excited and thank you so
- 3:55much for having me. Of course, of course.
- 3:58So everybody, if you just now tuning in, the 8 Strange Show
- 4:03hasn't been on the air for a while.
- 4:07And I'm like, you know, what the hell, let's do this.
- 4:10But you're tuning them to the 8 Strange Show, where we're back
- 4:14on track with a mission and navigating resources, sharing
- 4:17stories, giving veterans a voice.
- 4:19I'm your host H, And today we're firing on all cylinders with a
- 4:23powerful lineup joining me as a special guest.
- 4:31You've seen her around. You've heard her voice on her
- 4:35network. MJ is in the building I'm.
- 4:38Here. Yep, and you already know it.
- 4:41And now the moment you we've been hyping up Spotlight on a
- 4:45new artist, making waves, telling the truth for music,
- 4:49using his platform to inspire. Doug Wilde will be with us the
- 4:55the second hour he's going to be in the house.
- 4:58We're going to be talking to him and we're playing his latest
- 5:02track that has already made an impact across the veteran music
- 5:06community. So, you know, let's just let's
- 5:12just dive in. So MJ, how are you this morning?
- 5:16Like I. Am soaking wet.
- 5:18We've had 20 days of rain and and 23 days.
- 5:23We look like a wet muskrat up here.
- 5:28You know what the, the weather here in Colorado has really been
- 5:33bipolar. It doesn't know if it wants to
- 5:36be winter or summer, you know, and every time I every time
- 5:42there's Groundhog's Day and I see that Groundhog, I always
- 5:46want to hit, you know, you're talking about hitting the
- 5:49quacker. I want to hear the groundhogs
- 5:51there. You.
- 5:52Know OK, wait, this is for everybody out there.
- 5:54So yeah, we have this new little promotion of coming through the
- 5:58the military broadcast and of course we're about the ducks.
- 6:02But every time I said I, I come online, I go that duck says well
- 6:06welcome quack. And I'm like, are you calling me
- 6:08a quack? I said I have some real
- 6:10relationships with this duck. Yeah, talking, talking about the
- 6:15relationship is as as complicated as the VA, let me
- 6:20tell you. Well, we're.
- 6:22Not going to go there. Hey, hey, so getting down and
- 6:30dirty right into the things lay we want we want to bring up a a
- 6:36mail call. Mail call is the time that we
- 6:40kind of spotlight a veteran, you know, somebody that's doing the
- 6:44right thing. They don't know that we're
- 6:47spotlighting. And you know, to today's
- 6:51spotlight, what I'm going to do is, is Joe Golden.
- 6:55Joe Golden is a commander or he's a former VFW commander.
- 7:02He's been through some stuff in the last year or so, but he's
- 7:06always striving to do things for veterans.
- 7:10And, you know, that's the, that's the, that's the thing
- 7:13that we need to do. You know, I, I saw him on a
- 7:15TikTok not too long ago about a guy coming on and says, look,
- 7:21you know, we have this nice little military TikTok
- 7:25community, but it's not just one person, you know, don't, don't,
- 7:29don't tag the same person every time something comes up.
- 7:33There's a lot of veterans out there doing a lot of good things
- 7:38and then needs to be highlighted.
- 7:39You know, that's so it's so easy to do things for yourself.
- 7:44But yeah, when you do stuff for other people, it needs to really
- 7:49be highlighted. I don't know about you, but I
- 7:51find that helping other people rather than doing stuff on my
- 7:56own. Why?
- 8:00But when I'm trying to do stuff for myself, it's a lot harder.
- 8:04I don't know why, but from from when I gather, every veteran
- 8:08feels that way. I think because veterans are
- 8:11service to others. And so when we when we have
- 8:14service to self, it doesn't feel right because we're supposed to
- 8:18be given to others. That is our our purpose.
- 8:22Our life purpose is service to others.
- 8:24And I think that in, in, in our insides, we don't feel that
- 8:29worthiness because maybe we're not taught that, but we are
- 8:33worthy. And so are you, especially you
- 8:35with this station. So I think that's where it comes
- 8:37from. But it's all good.
- 8:39And I like this. I like that we're opening up and
- 8:42and joining because when you join forces and you network
- 8:44around the world, it's a big, beautiful party.
- 8:47It really is. It really is.
- 8:49You know, when I talked to like I talked to Magic Mike yesterday
- 8:52and he kind of had on the show and you know, we, we, we
- 8:57emphasize it every year. And I don't know if we need to
- 9:00emphasize it, but we emphasize it every year that, hey, look
- 9:05there, there's nothing happy about Memorial Day.
- 9:08It's just plain Memorial Day. You know, Memorial Day is for
- 9:12those that lost their lives and battle and stuff.
- 9:15That is, that's who we honor Veteran's Day, you know, so, so
- 9:19many holidays and. Thank you.
- 9:23Yeah, that's and so many people they they get, I don't want to
- 9:27say butt hurt, but they get aggravated when, you know, they
- 9:32they do something a civilian comes up to them and says, hey,
- 9:35you know, thank you for your service.
- 9:37And you know, we get, you know, we get mad or something, you
- 9:41know, and you know, it's look. We can twist that.
- 9:46Yeah, civilian. Just.
- 9:49Yeah, thank you so much. But today, today I'm moderate,
- 9:53my brothers of arms and my sisters of arms who has lost
- 9:57their life. And I appreciate what you're
- 9:59saying. But today I really or this
- 10:01weekend, it's about those who gave off, really gave off.
- 10:06Right. Yeah.
- 10:07And I'm just letting you know, all those veterans out there
- 10:11know. OK, Then somebody comes up to
- 10:14you and says, hey, hey, Happy veteran's day or, you know, a
- 10:18happy Memorial Day or or, you know, something of that nature
- 10:21this weekend. Don't get upset.
- 10:25Yeah, don't don't even try to don't even try to explain to
- 10:29your, you know, to them what the difference is.
- 10:34You're welcome. Just yeah, just hey, I
- 10:36appreciate the support. You know, his chances are they
- 10:40just want to say thank you for, you know, for dealing with the
- 10:45stuff that you deal with, with the VA and all this other stuff.
- 10:49You know, we have a lot of battles that that passed away,
- 10:52you know, and we go to meet them Memorial Day.
- 10:56So not only are civilians saying thank you to us, but, you know,
- 11:00maybe they're in a way of saying thank you for the sacrifice you
- 11:04and your battle buddy's made, you know, So keep that in mind.
- 11:10The before we go on break, the three things that we need to
- 11:14know here in the local Denver area is city budget crisis.
- 11:21Denver faces a $250 million budget shortfall, prompting
- 11:27Mayor Mike Johnson to implement layoffs, furloughs and hiring
- 11:32freeze. Public safety departments are
- 11:35largely exempt, but other services, including homelessness
- 11:39initiatives, made significant cuts.
- 11:44And then the other so many. Cuts.
- 11:47Huh. Where the?
- 11:49Cuts. Well, see, that's the same thing
- 11:51everyone talks about but they don't like.
- 11:54They don't explain what the cuts are.
- 11:56You know what? Are you cutting?
- 11:58I hope you're not cutting my station buddy out there in
- 12:01Denver, right? And then a new Art Center has
- 12:08just opened up historic 1940s fortune cookie factory.
- 12:14And Denver has been transformed into a contemporary art gallery.
- 12:19Opening May 24th, the space will feature immersive expedition
- 12:25exhibit, exhibit, whatever you got.
- 12:31You guys don't want to talk by local artists, OK?
- 12:37Shop little shops. And those are just some of the
- 12:42things that are happening in in Denver.
- 12:44What what is now me and Jay, you're in Pennsylvania.
- 12:49What are what are some of the things that are happening in
- 12:52that your area that some people might not be aware of?
- 12:56So we always have parades in Pennsylvania.
- 12:58All these little small towns that we have up here, they
- 13:01gather the military members in their areas and they always
- 13:05parade. They parade with whatever is
- 13:08dominant. So if it's Army, then they have
- 13:09the tanks going. If it's Air Force, they try to
- 13:11get some type of aircraft or something.
- 13:13But it's really a nice thing and they all band together with
- 13:16their flags and all the armed forces.
- 13:19Now, I haven't been up here. This is my first time back in
- 13:21Pennsylvania since I left for the military, so it's going to
- 13:25be a wild ride for us. I'm going to go to Waverly
- 13:29because that VFW is putting on a parade and I believe it starts
- 13:34at 8:30. I have to, I have to go back and
- 13:37look. But hold on, hold on cuz I got
- 13:40it. I can't.
- 13:42I know I have it front and center.
- 13:45So it is. It's a good thing Pennsylvania.
- 13:57So anyway, so I'm not going to monkey with that because I'm
- 13:59slow, very slow. I'm not a techy swabby guy girl.
- 14:03But so and then on top of that, the American Legions up here are
- 14:10having beautiful supports for the for the families.
- 14:14So get to your American Legions or get to your VFW's in
- 14:17Pennsylvania, because almost all of them are having some type.
- 14:22Oh, you always do, yeah. Right, have some type of
- 14:25ceremony, the ones at the grave. There are numerous veteran
- 14:30highway or veteran memorial parks that always have the
- 14:34military bands, even the pipers, the Fife and pipes, drums.
- 14:37Oh, I love them. They're always in like Philly.
- 14:40They're like in those big ones, even like close to me is New
- 14:43York. I'm only 12 miles away from New
- 14:45York. And even in New York they bring
- 14:47the pipers out, right. Ah, it's beautiful.
- 14:50If you've never seen it with the Scottish Pipers, you got it, you
- 14:53got to go. OK, You know, I've been to New
- 14:56York, NY before. I don't know if it changes and
- 14:59like, you know, different regions of the state, but I
- 15:03wasn't really impressed with New York, to be honest.
- 15:05I'm going to. Cut you off, man.
- 15:09I know about Cut You Off because New York has a really bad name
- 15:13because of Hollywood celebs and all of them at New York City.
- 15:16But you get into the Adirondacks and you get up to the Finger
- 15:19Lakes and you get up to the most beautiful parts of New York
- 15:22where it's just mountains and wildlife.
- 15:25You will be in awe at the beauty of that state.
- 15:27I agree with you that that southeastern corner kind of is
- 15:32like that's too much. For me, there's no customer
- 15:35service there. It's it's a little bit radical
- 15:39over there and I stay far. Far that is.
- 15:41That's a big that's like I want to say that's about 5 hours,
- 15:45four or five hours from me. I'm more like, you know, the
- 15:48wineries, the chill relaxers, you know, goes at Watkins Glen.
- 15:53That's me. That's that.
- 15:55I'm that kind of foresty girl. So the outer on decks, I always
- 15:58tell buddy, go where do you see how much milk and curds up there
- 16:02with the Amish. This is beautiful.
- 16:05Well, hey, MJ, I'm so glad that you're here.
- 16:10Ladies and gentlemen, it is our first break that we're going to
- 16:14go to. And when we come back, we're
- 16:18going to, you know, usually what we do is the what the, what the
- 16:23subject. And instead of doing like the
- 16:25what the subject we're going to, we're going to go over some
- 16:33details, some details about what you can do this weekend, details
- 16:39about what the heck does this holiday mean to you.
- 16:46And we're going to take questions and comments from the
- 16:49listeners when we're back. You're listening to the H train
- 16:53show right here on the station that's living our veterans
- 16:57voices be heard. You're listening to MBR.
- 17:03Now I got to find now I got to find this.
- 17:05There we go. Let's.
- 17:07Go. The station where our veterans
- 20:00voices are heard MBR talk hey thanks for tuning in welcome are
- 20:08those of the speakers and do not necessarily reflect the views
- 20:13or. Positions of any entities they
- 20:15represent the web at MB radio dot All right let's jump we're
- 20:22back. You're listening to the ace
- 20:24train show where we're here we show all veterans all the
- 20:28programs out there beyond the VA right here on the station that's
- 20:32letting our veterans voices be heard MBR and you know usually
- 20:37at this time, usually they play a video you know a silly video
- 20:42we talk about it and we play you know drop the mic and we talk
- 20:47about it. But since it's Memorial Day, I
- 20:49thought, you know instead of us playing a a video we would
- 20:55simply talk about what memorial means to us.
- 20:59You know what it means to me, what it means to MJ.
- 21:04And you know of of all things, I tell you what one person I
- 21:08should have spotlighted on this show is, is my best friend
- 21:14Brock. And you know, Brock Brock died
- 21:18exactly on May on May 31st, 2006.
- 21:26And you know, I tell you, this is just what I go through on
- 21:33Memorial Day so that people kind of understand.
- 21:37So as soon as I get up on Memorial Day, mji find myself,
- 21:45you know, saying to myself almost every day, why me?
- 21:51You know, I'm not I'm not I'm nobody special.
- 21:53Why did I why am I here and they are not, you know, and
- 22:01constantly, every single day when I do stuff for veterans and
- 22:06when I when I try to do stuff, you know, some of those stuff
- 22:10that I do for veterans, I'll I'll raise my hand up.
- 22:13You know, I, I'm not successful. I, I'm successful and following
- 22:18up and, and keeping motivated and, and keep on, you know,
- 22:24helping them. But, you know, sometimes I'm not
- 22:27successful. Sometimes we, we go 8-9 months
- 22:32and they have to get with somebody else.
- 22:35And then when they get with somebody else, you know, they,
- 22:38they get that help and that's OK.
- 22:40That's good because as humans we forget that sometimes.
- 22:44What you say, somebody else will say and that the other person
- 22:52will just get it. They'll just get it.
- 22:54It's it's kind of like a coach, you know?
- 22:58And that's not meaning that they don't listen to you.
- 23:01It's just meaning that you know, they're, they're, they, they,
- 23:07they know you, they're, they're, they're comfortable with you.
- 23:10And one thing I've found out, when you're comfortable with
- 23:14somebody, it's hard to take their advice.
- 23:21So it's a comfort. So first and foremost, you are
- 23:25very successful. And everybody, when you have
- 23:29those types of days, Please remember you are a successor
- 23:32because those down days are the days that actually give you a
- 23:37brighter idea, like the beginning of the H trade show.
- 23:40And I love it because he has this beautiful phoenix rising
- 23:43and that's what it is. So when you feel that you're not
- 23:46successful, you really are, you flip that pattern in here and
- 23:50you're like, no, I really. Because that's I wasn't supposed
- 23:53to go that way. They're forcing me to go this
- 23:55way. And then that creates just an
- 23:58embodiment of that much more energetic power and frequencies
- 24:04to help us go forward. Now when we have to say they, it
- 24:09should have been me, not him. OK, that's an attachment that we
- 24:14need to heal. We need to heal the attachment
- 24:16because one soul for another doesn't, doesn't doesn't work
- 24:21right, because that's his journey and that's not your
- 24:24journey. So we have to remember each of
- 24:26us are on our own journey, even as warriors leave no man behind.
- 24:28I get it, man, I get it. And man, when you see that and
- 24:32you see that trauma and you see that friend go, you're like,
- 24:35why? Why we're questioning an
- 24:39ultimate universe that is destined for that person.
- 24:44So I don't necessarily say that a Memorial Day.
- 24:47I just give my heart, body and soul an awareness of thank you
- 24:52thank you thank you for protecting me even though you
- 24:55were here before I even existed on on this plane and you still
- 24:59made it safe for me to be here. You still honored that I was
- 25:02going to arrive and in their minds of veterans and those
- 25:06people who are your warriors and your night Templars.
- 25:08I truly believe they would more honors saying thank you.
- 25:12Thank you for honoring me even though you weren't here.
- 25:15And I understand that. I mean, it goes hundreds of
- 25:17years back, so as hundreds, and I'm going to thank all of them
- 25:22even though I'm not hundreds of years old.
- 25:23Why? Because they created this safe
- 25:26haven for me. That's how I think.
- 25:31If there's anybody watching or comments or if you would like to
- 25:35call the, the total text line that talk, the that is
- 25:41720-619-0627. Feel free to call in express
- 25:48yourself. What well, you know what, MJ,
- 25:53what are your, what are your plans for Memorial Day?
- 25:58I think you kind of told us a little bit earlier, but, you
- 26:02know, I just wanted to, I just, I just wanted to find out, you
- 26:09know, like what, what, what are you and Oz plan on doing?
- 26:12So there is in Waverly, I told you there's a parade and I
- 26:17wanted to go and kind of give some clips of the parade and do
- 26:20a short take on my channel, which is the the world of
- 26:23conscious positive thinking to let you know that NBR
- 26:26Broadcasting or NB Radio is broadcasting.
- 26:30And we support no matter where you are in this beautiful United
- 26:34States or around the world, we are here to support you.
- 26:37And we hope to have an army ourselves of MBR people so that
- 26:41you can get a glimpse and eclipse of them.
- 26:44And that's what we're going to do.
- 26:45I haven't yet to put just because of my life and how it's
- 26:50been, I haven't been able to go to a memorial at some cemeteries
- 26:57or memorial parks in such a long time that I told Ozzy and I both
- 27:03said, let's let's go give thanks.
- 27:05And I said absolutely, I'm in it.
- 27:07So I'm going to go pick up my mom, who is about an hour and 40
- 27:09minutes away, bring her back up to the mountain and let her see
- 27:13the memorials up here that they do versus down in her little
- 27:16hometown. So we have a, we have somebody
- 27:19who said, I like Ike, did you see that?
- 27:22Yeah, too many. Let's let's put that on the
- 27:25screen a little bit more. It says too many friends gone
- 27:29from the effects of bullshit we endured fighting to keep us all
- 27:34free. There's there's definitely help
- 27:36out there. Yeah, I agree.
- 27:38You know, and you know, the thing about it is like, I don't
- 27:43think it's just the combat that that gets us.
- 27:46I think it, you know, we, we have, everybody has trauma.
- 27:50We have trauma like right before we go in and then when we go in,
- 27:55it just makes it worse, you know, So when you come back and
- 28:00so that people understand, you know, it's not just like the
- 28:03PTSD and, and like the combat and all that stuff.
- 28:06But when your brain is clicked like that, when your brains
- 28:10click like that, you know, it's just, it's just triggers this
- 28:14like anxiety thing, you know, and I'm going to try to, I'm
- 28:18going to try to describe this anxiety thing as best as I could
- 28:22before we had to go on break. But the anxiety thing is, it's
- 28:27almost like you, you eat 13 snicker bars and drink a
- 28:31Mountain Dew. You know how you got that, that
- 28:34fight, that constant heartbeat. And you know, I'm talking
- 28:38talking to civilians here, you know, like 1.
- 28:41Thing. Stop snicker bars.
- 28:43Well, you know, I'm just saying, you know, I'm trying to let
- 28:46everybody understand like that. That's the feeling that.
- 28:49Well, sugar rush. Yeah, that's the, you know, and
- 28:54you just got it like somebody kind of thing, you know,
- 29:00reenacting of Beavis and Butt Head.
- 29:03But you you just, you have to find ways to heal that.
- 29:09And Memorial Weekend is normally that that weekend, that
- 29:16celebration that triggers this. Yeah, I, I came back on.
- 29:21What's that say? It's the struggle to get the
- 29:24benefits we're supposed to. An illegal alien gets 3400 a
- 29:28month immediately and we have to fight together, OK.
- 29:33Well, that, that I, I think they're improving that every
- 29:37day. They're improving that every
- 29:40day, you know, and. Different procedures, different
- 29:45ways of people thinking. I understand.
- 29:48I understand, Ike. And so let's just know that it
- 29:55will be balanced. It will get balanced.
- 29:58And those who think that they have been forgotten, they
- 30:00haven't because we're always here.
- 30:02But if we can't see you, you also have to reach, right?
- 30:05We have to do our due diligence and we have to make sure that we
- 30:09stand tall and we stand proud. And we all have to understand
- 30:13that honor. But I get you, Ike.
- 30:15I get you. And.
- 30:17You know, I, I, there's a lot of things happening every single
- 30:23day that's improving, you know, and the one thing that I, I
- 30:28hate, and I think it's, and when I say the social media, it's
- 30:32because the shit's not dated. Like you'll hear some
- 30:35information, OK, And then you'll be like, OK, when was this, that
- 30:41this has happened before? And then you find out that it
- 30:44was like last year or something. So people, you know, if, if
- 30:49you're getting your information off of social media, which I'm
- 30:53I'm sure there's a lot, if you're getting information, just
- 30:56remember that sometimes that shit's not updated.
- 30:59Sometimes that shit's like two or three weeks old.
- 31:03OK, So you know, don't freak out.
- 31:06The first thing that you want to do when you read something is
- 31:09check and see when it was. Or even if it's.
- 31:13True, you know, or even if it's true, you know, I know one thing
- 31:17about ChatGPT, you can put that in and send it to ChatGPT and
- 31:21ChatGPT will will make everything.
- 31:26Yeah, yeah. Break it down Barney's style,
- 31:29but then they'll give you a picture of you with a Barney
- 31:32going like this Barney. I love teach.
- 31:38Teach me to ask if her advice ever again.
- 31:43Hey before we before we go on to break.
- 31:46I just wanted to run by these the, the, the, the events.
- 31:56We'll go over the events show quid before we go on break
- 31:58because we're coming up on well, I guess we need to take the
- 32:02break now. Never mind.
- 32:04All right, we're going to go on break.
- 32:08And once again, you're listening to the ace train show where here
- 32:14all we're trying to do is show veterans all the programs out
- 32:17there beyond the VA. This is a special Memorial Day.
- 32:21We even have eye candy on today. You know what about me?
- 32:26Our eye candy. So this next song we're going to
- 32:31be playing, this is the individual that we're going to
- 32:34be having on today, actually. So whatever you do, stay with
- 32:38us. Don't go away.
- 32:40Here is Doug Wilde, warrior. The station where our veterans
- 37:58voices are heard. MBR talk.
- 38:03Hey thanks for tuning. In Welcome back are those of the
- 38:06speakers and do not necessarily reflect the views or.
- 38:11Positions of any entities they represent.
- 38:14The web at NB radio dot. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 38:20we are back and once again you're listening to the 8
- 38:24Strange show here on MBR and my special Co host is MJMJI.
- 38:34Really appreciate you coming on, you know, and, and, and just
- 38:38just proud just talking. I am so proud, so honored.
- 38:43I would be here in a heartbeat for any of my veterans,
- 38:45especially here on NB Radio who opened up their hearts.
- 38:49And it's just, it's an honor. It's an honor.
- 38:52And I see that Zai is is checking in.
- 38:55And yes, yes, it's an honor to have him back.
- 38:58Ladies and gentlemen, what we have a host.
- 39:02We have a host that you know, is getting ready to get started.
- 39:05And, you know, life happened. So he had to pull away and you
- 39:10know, he's back and I'm sure you know, he'll get back into the
- 39:13things. But he went to Pakistan to visit
- 39:17his family. He's he's the US military.
- 39:21And then he was born and raised in Pakistan this time over here
- 39:27and kind of got caught in the, in the war thing, I guess in the
- 39:32India and Pakistan, I, I, I guess they don't like each other
- 39:37very much. So he he got in the middle of
- 39:40that. Yeah, it's, it's really
- 39:43sorrowful and it's really troubling.
- 39:45And they're back on, on good grounds here back in the United
- 39:49States. And we're very excited to have
- 39:51him back and thank gosh that he's safe and his family's safe.
- 39:54And it is, you know, it's Memorial Day if, if you're not
- 39:59out there thinking that you are just in the land of the free
- 40:04because nobody else, you got everything coming.
- 40:07You got to remember your DoD is there always protecting you,
- 40:11whether you like it or not, it's going to protect you.
- 40:14And. These people who give us, you
- 40:17know, I always tell people we have so many outlets at MBR to
- 40:21get information and that when you see what information is
- 40:25going on the news and comparison to these beautiful people who
- 40:29are there, these people are there and it's not what they're
- 40:33saying on the news. So you have to go thank God for
- 40:37MBR because at least they can give you the information that we
- 40:41have on the front lines and that you know what is actually
- 40:44happening behind the political smokescreens, right?
- 40:49Right, right. Well, you know, and I tell you
- 40:51what, I, I, I don't know how long it's been out, but I just
- 40:55found out yesterday, You know, one of the top news was, you
- 41:00know, Biden, He, he has. What?
- 41:05Where am. I going where am I at?
- 41:07Yeah, he has he's been diagnosed with prostate cancer, you know,
- 41:11and I see a lot of I see a lot of comments and this is what I
- 41:17was going to do or dropping the mic about.
- 41:19So, you know, we won't do the job of the mic because that, you
- 41:23know, there's not a lot of people that, you know, really
- 41:25rare care. But I have several people that
- 41:28tell me that the best thing about the show, the segment is
- 41:32the what's the moment. And as I'm looking for the
- 41:35what's the moment it's not on here.
- 41:38Well, you know, prostate cancer is the slowest cancer to kill
- 41:41you. You know that, right?
- 41:42Does everybody know that out there?
- 41:44So to have him, but if he is the president and you think about
- 41:47this, the president of the United States has probably the
- 41:50best health, then probably the monarchs, you know what I mean?
- 41:53These these upper echelons have doctors attending to the
- 41:58highest, fullest, whatever. So if he had prostate cancer,
- 42:03don't you think with a doctor's wife, I mean Jill is that now
- 42:07they have Jill looking her at charges because he truly had
- 42:11dementia. His his cognitive mind was so
- 42:14bad. So why was Jill still pushing,
- 42:18You know, Doctor Jill, answer that.
- 42:20Doctor Jill, if you're listening to this out there, and I'll tie
- 42:22you, why did you force your husband knowing as a doctor, his
- 42:27mental clarity wasn't wasn't well, what was happening there?
- 42:31Why did you do that? So we put those people on the
- 42:34line. That's what the why would you do
- 42:37that? What that's abuse.
- 42:38That is seniors abuse, right? They are full throttle.
- 42:42That is like having somebody with dementia signing over their
- 42:45will or their house or something else and then claiming it and
- 42:50they have no Peace of Mind. Alzheimer victims, these are
- 42:53Alzheimer victims and dementia victims.
- 42:56It's pretty sad if you actually got.
- 42:58That and, well, you, you know how much I don't like Biden.
- 43:02You know how much I don't like that side.
- 43:04But you know what? I'm going to be devil.
- 43:05OK, we don't like their concepts.
- 43:07Not that much, right? We don't like their concepts.
- 43:10So I'm going to be devil's advocate.
- 43:12What if, what if just saying, what if they have the diagnosis,
- 43:18OK, but the diagnosis, but it wasn't that it wasn't that big,
- 43:25you know, it was just like, oh, you know, this, this is going
- 43:28to, this is going to give you a cough a couple more months, you
- 43:31know, out of a year. But what happens if it's just it
- 43:37just didn't get bad until this last year?
- 43:41Because we all know that whenever you have stress or
- 43:46whenever you're angry or anything like it's it, it, it
- 43:53affects your brain. It it really does.
- 43:56It affects your brain, you know, And for some people out there
- 43:59that don't realize it, like you can have like stairs in your
- 44:04house and you have a hard time getting it downstairs.
- 44:09But the stairs at your house, you know, you, you, you, you get
- 44:14down the easier than stairs somewhere else in a different
- 44:20environment. It's because your, your, your
- 44:23body's not accustomed to that environment.
- 44:26It's accustomed to the other environment.
- 44:28Yeah, I'm laughing because you talk about stairs and I, I come
- 44:32in and out of remissions on wheelchairs.
- 44:34Most people know if you know my story.
- 44:36And the stairs are I'm like, listen, as a kid, I would get a
- 44:41carpet, one of those woven Amish carpets, and I would slide down.
- 44:45So I was like, oh, you know, I'm almost, I'm almost, you know, I
- 44:50always say 30, but I know I'm not.
- 44:51I'm close to 60. I was like, just go get a
- 44:54carpet. I'll slide down like I did like
- 44:56a kid. Oh, no, no, that was bad.
- 45:01That was bad news. My rub couldn't handle that.
- 45:04I don't know how I don't know how I handled that as a kid.
- 45:06But we don't do those carpets. But back to Jill, it is, it is
- 45:11sad. It's it's very sad and I'm not
- 45:14I'm not poo pooping that he has prostate cancer that has
- 45:16metastasized because the end result after having prostate
- 45:20cancer for so long. But how come it wasn't made
- 45:22aware of the public when everybody, I mean, when the
- 45:26president goes to pool office, they ask about these things, you
- 45:29know, not only their taxes and it's a right, I understand it is
- 45:34what is that called a HIPAA, a HIPAA law, right?
- 45:37HIPAA protects, you know, whatever ailments that you that
- 45:41we have. And but I think if if you took
- 45:44the job for us and we hired you, I think that you need to have a
- 45:49forefront of clarity of what it is that is going on.
- 45:53And I think that's where a lot of Americans who voted or like
- 45:59who's controlling the pen? Was it Jill?
- 46:02Was it Obama? Who's controlling that pen
- 46:05because he could not. There's no cognitive and and
- 46:09they've proved it over and over again with how his reactions
- 46:13almost as if it's like when somebody strokes right and they
- 46:17and they they don't have that function of the brain.
- 46:19They can't find words. They can't they can't get them
- 46:22out. And that's almost how he
- 46:25appeared as our president and total with heartfelt and as a
- 46:30person. And shamefully, whoever put him
- 46:33up to that is grotesque in my opinion and my opinions worth
- 46:38nothing. But the truth of the matter is
- 46:40you hurt our nation. You know, you really hurt our
- 46:44nation by doing that. I don't think you were a
- 46:46political science major. I think you were in it for
- 46:49money, for greed, for power and it or to hide whatever the
- 46:55smokescreen was that you were doing.
- 46:56You came up and I think he's using this cancer as a
- 46:58smokescreen right now because FBI are are real close.
- 47:02Cash Patel is real close in there and so is Naomi and Pam
- 47:09Bondi. They're all doing their job very
- 47:11well fighting fraud. And I think, and I'm I'm going
- 47:14to speak my life. Both sides don't just go after
- 47:19the left. You need both sides because
- 47:20they're both corrupt. They're both get the corruption
- 47:24out. I mean, we have been almost what
- 47:27when did Mara Monroe die? When was that 60s and chaos of
- 47:32hidden secrets and disgusting skeletons that don't need to be
- 47:37there? We're already cleaning up the
- 47:39AIDS. We're already cleaning up these
- 47:41things. And of course it's causing chaos
- 47:43and it's causing people to be mad because they don't have that
- 47:45extra money. You know, the Vatican, We had
- 47:47that show. Remember that?
- 47:49We had that show about the Vatican on behind the headlines.
- 47:52You know, what the heck are you mad?
- 47:55Because we took out that 13 million or 30 million or
- 47:58whatever it was million. You know, this is, I think that
- 48:02there's a lot of resentment and anger and anxiety.
- 48:06I think anxiety comes from the fear of unknown.
- 48:09The fear of unknown goes back to faith.
- 48:12And when you can clear that, everybody who's listening, if
- 48:14you have anxiety, you can clear it.
- 48:16I promise you, give us a call right down there somewhere is a
- 48:20phone line or somewhere there's an MB radio at the top somewhere
- 48:25there is that number. Reach out If you're on here, you
- 48:27say hey, call me and then we'll DM you.
- 48:29If you don't know how, just put it on our put it on our feed
- 48:32right now and we got you. We got it most of the.
- 48:36Time anxiety. And PTSD, these things are a
- 48:41mental calibration of a block that we in total can help.
- 48:46We can help and assist and making you feel a lot better.
- 48:50So we're going to go. On our next break, everybody.
- 48:55And when we come back the the video that we played earlier,
- 49:02the artist is here, the artist is in the building.
- 49:09Stick with us. Don't go away.
- 49:11You're listening to the Ace Train show here on MVR
- 52:17station where our veterans voices are.
- 52:19Heard MBR talk. Hey, thanks for tuning in.
- 52:26Welcome are those of the speakers and.
- 52:28Do not necessarily reflect the views or positions of any
- 52:32entities. They represent the web at MB
- 52:36Radio dot. Welcome, welcome, welcome
- 52:40everybody to the Ace Train show. Hold on a second.
- 52:47That wasn't supposed to happen. OK, there we go.
- 52:50All right, everybody, welcome to the ACE Train show.
- 52:52Right here on the station. That's letting our veterans be
- 52:56heard. You're listening to MBR.
- 52:59Without further ado. I'm going to, if I can find it.
- 53:05It's it's totally different when you're doing the sound and
- 53:08everything. Hold on.
- 53:11Here we go. Here we go.
- 53:12Here we go the interview of the week is brought to you by Jersey
- 53:20Mike's a sub above Ladies and gentlemen, I got an e-mail
- 53:28yesterday about this song and you know we played it earlier.
- 53:33We might even play it. You know, I really love the
- 53:35song. My show yes appreciate it by.
- 53:37The way. Thank you.
- 53:39Most definitely, Doug. Well.
- 53:41You know, tell us a little bit about yourself.
- 53:45Are you you a new artist? Did you just start or you've
- 53:48been doing this for a while? Yeah, but I've always been
- 53:51interested in music since. I was a young kid.
- 53:53I, I started out playing the violin in high school and middle
- 53:55school and I started writing music, a little bit of saying
- 53:59here and there, not too much till later on in life.
- 54:01But I entered the military, did my military careers at 9 S 100
- 54:05in the Air Force. I did five years, ended up
- 54:07getting up one year early as an early release program.
- 54:10I needed people out of the Air Force and into the Army.
- 54:12I applied, but I was in a critically manned career field,
- 54:15so they didn't accept me right away.
- 54:17They needed more people out. A month later I applied again.
- 54:20They actually let me out of my birthday, which is kind of
- 54:22funny. So I got out, went to college at
- 54:24UCF, came close to finishing my degree, didn't finish it, came
- 54:28back to Boston area and went to Berkeley for a little bit for
- 54:31music production. I ended up not wanting to do the
- 54:34production, but learned quite a bit from and then I started
- 54:36really kind of tapping into the creative aspect of my music.
- 54:41And then I have someone else do it now in Boston out of the
- 54:43cyber sound studios. Shout out to them.
- 54:45Great, great crew. Justin, the producer and
- 54:48engineer and Perry the owner. I've been very helpful along my,
- 54:51my process here and this is the first song I've created fully
- 54:55produced by them. And then I, I did the video
- 54:57myself, which was quite a learning experience.
- 55:00It's not listening to that good man.
- 55:03Now were they that that was another question I was gonna
- 55:06have the the the video were those were those AI generator
- 55:11were those people that you know well, that's the thing.
- 55:14I I I wasn't sure when I. Was creating this video about
- 55:17the whole copyright thing and pick real pictures.
- 55:19So I used Mid Journey, which you might be familiar with.
- 55:22It's a very popular program to generate images from those
- 55:25images. I've been took those and put
- 55:26them into other programs for the video aspect and it creates some
- 55:30amazing, as you can see images. And I kind of had to string
- 55:33those together and add it to the lyrics and just kind of make the
- 55:36whole story happen. I took a couple weeks and I the
- 55:39last day I was up 14 hours straight finalizing it and
- 55:42editing the music along with it. But I think it came out pretty
- 55:44good, so I appreciate that. Yeah, It it, it did it really.
- 55:48Came out good and it's, you know, it's so professional, you
- 55:51know, the the words of the song go with the, you know, plot of
- 55:56the story. That's yeah, and it's really
- 55:59good. So tell us a little bit about
- 56:02your your military service dad, because you know, you being a
- 56:05veteran and making a song like this sounding like this.
- 56:11I'm sorry were. You on tour by?
- 56:13Chance. I actually.
- 56:14Wasn't that. That's the thing, I was at a.
- 56:16Headquarters in Florida at AFTAC at Patrick Air Force Base.
- 56:20It's very unique kind of Intel job.
- 56:22Only 300 people did what I did worldwide.
- 56:24It's a very strange career field.
- 56:26Anyone that's interested in Google 9 S 100 pretty much got a
- 56:30bunch of different information in through different sensors.
- 56:32Then we analyzed those through different ways.
- 56:34But you know, there's also a skiff building with no windows,
- 56:37high level clearance. Very, very interesting job.
- 56:39But to get to the point of the song and how I kind of came up
- 56:42with this and what inspired me to write it all tied in that is
- 56:46one week out of the month. I was actually put on honour
- 56:48guard when you did the ceremonies for the the family
- 56:51members that passed away in the military and the flag
- 56:53presentation, 21 gun salute. And when I first got put on
- 56:57that, you know, as most people aren't very comfortable with
- 56:59death in general being around it.
- 57:01And I was really kind of turned off at first like this is
- 57:03uncomfortable. But over time, I actually grew
- 57:06to love it because you see the reactions of the family members
- 57:09and how proud they were and how, you know, respectfully they were
- 57:12of the ceremony. So throughout that time, I kind
- 57:14of, you know, said, look at all these people that are so
- 57:16connected and deep with their families that pass away,
- 57:18especially the active duty ones. Those are the real emotional
- 57:21ones. But I kind of came up with this
- 57:23idea of the time for a song about someone that had passed
- 57:25away in the military, not linking it to anyone directly
- 57:27that I knew, although there were people I was friends and friends
- 57:29with on the base that I knew that had passed away when they
- 57:32went overseas. But this is kind of just an
- 57:34overall general idea. This happens to people.
- 57:37And this I think is a great example of story wise of what
- 57:39can happen to somebody that enters the military and now
- 57:41their, you know, their family deals with it kind of do.
- 57:44Did you did you interview? Some soldiers for some of those
- 57:48lyrics that you have or is it just by what you oversaw and
- 57:52heard and and was witnessed within?
- 57:56So that's a great question. This is my experience actually
- 57:59draws specifically from this. Oh my God, the military, went to
- 58:02college, came back to Boston. I went through a period of
- 58:04depression as some people do. I actually spent some time in
- 58:07Ava Hospital and I met a lot of very hurt individuals there
- 58:12that, you know, their stories were incredible.
- 58:14And it just blew my mind. Some of the stuff, whether the
- 58:16detailed stories, the general stories and hearing that they've
- 58:19been in there multiple times and it's just a struggle for them to
- 58:22live their everyday lives. So that kind of also tapped into
- 58:25the the emotion of the song and you know, it's not easy, which I
- 58:29thought would be a great tribute to that.
- 58:30Write something like this now. I'm not traditionally someone
- 58:33that just writes military songs. It just happens to be the the
- 58:35first song I released and I had it appropriately set up for
- 58:38Memorial Day to coincide with. I think with my background, it's
- 58:42probably a good intro to myself as a songwriter and and artist.
- 58:46It's beautiful and that's fantastic.
- 58:48That you did this release at Memorial Day because it it
- 58:50brings an awareness it brings it brings everything into fruition
- 58:56for a lot of people who don't understand.
- 58:58So I love when veteran singers sing the graces of the actual
- 59:04duties that have to be performed by our DoD.
- 59:08And I don't think a lot of people understand they IA lot of
- 59:11times I think it they feel like we sit around in tents or like
- 59:14the MASH unit. I don't know, but I, I, I
- 59:17appreciate that. Was there was there any parts of
- 59:21that song that was really hard for you emotionally?
- 59:27I think a lot of it was going through it, you know, just
- 59:29knowing the people you know, I think the hospital people, I'm
- 59:32in the hospital, some of them have passed away since then.
- 59:35And whether through, you know, drug related things or just age
- 59:40and whatnot, it's just it's tough to think back, you know, I
- 59:42met their families as well when they come in to visit, you know,
- 59:45and they heard the stories after they went away to their family,
- 59:47their families talking about, you know, they, they're great
- 59:50people. This is just they've been
- 59:51struggling for a while. So I think as I was writing the
- 59:55song, it wasn't so much but the video, it's kind of what you
- 59:57know, I kind of choked up a little bit here and there.
- 59:59Some of the scenes when the mother's screaming in the air.
- 1:00:01If you remember that part in the cemetery just.
- 1:00:03And you know, it is kind of an emotional video, but that's the
- 1:00:05whole point. I think the song itself is an
- 1:00:08emotional kind of song, but with the video that kind of really.
- 1:00:12Sets the tone of how I'm looking like 20 I I'm really good with.
- 1:00:17Death, but 21 those gunshots. I I like do this.
- 1:00:22It like chokes you up. I don't know if it's a PTSD
- 1:00:25thing. I don't know if it's like we're
- 1:00:26done like it's the finale and I that it chokes me up.
- 1:00:32I'm not going to lie, or even the cannons.
- 1:00:34When do you ever go to Arlington with the canyons?
- 1:00:37Oh my God, yeah. I live up in the North Shore
- 1:00:40area, so every, you know. Every holiday that involves
- 1:00:42military related with its memorial before the they do
- 1:00:44cannons here. So I know what you're talking
- 1:00:47about. Yeah.
- 1:00:48Yeah, that's chill. I mean that just like this.
- 1:00:50Song reminds me of those cannons and this song just the chills
- 1:00:54that I get of the reality and I think those chills are the
- 1:00:58reality that we face as soldiers or the reality that human life
- 1:01:03faces all together that you know life sure enjoy it and and
- 1:01:08respect those who are doing something for you I just want to
- 1:01:12say real quick too and I. I jumped on here real fast.
- 1:01:14I wasn't sure they said it, but thank you guys for your service
- 1:01:17as well. If you served, I believe you
- 1:01:18served. Both of you served.
- 1:01:19We both did, yes. Thank you very much for your
- 1:01:21service. Yeah.
- 1:01:22Yes, I was air. That's why when you said.
- 1:01:24Air Force, I would. Yeah.
- 1:01:25Baggy. Great.
- 1:01:26Right on. Yeah.
- 1:01:29I was an air travel controller 26.
- 1:01:31Com group in India that's not an.
- 1:01:34Easy job, I know. All about that.
- 1:01:36Yeah, on tactical plantings out in the deserts with.
- 1:01:39Intel so I enjoyed my myself but wasn't on the frontline.
- 1:01:45However, there was enough horror in the deserts.
- 1:01:49Of dog play. That I didn't need that.
- 1:01:51I didn't really need that frontline.
- 1:01:53Yeah, I smile. But that smile is because I
- 1:01:56heal. Because it's not funny.
- 1:01:59It that smile is not a sarcastic smile for anybody.
- 1:02:01Oh, I understand. Yeah.
- 1:02:02And what about you? Sir, yeah, I I did 10 years in.
- 1:02:07The Army, I got hurt, got and, you know, retired out and yeah,
- 1:02:16I've been doing this since 2015. And I think it's been, I, I
- 1:02:24think it's been an amazing, I think sorry about that.
- 1:02:31I think it has been an amazing journey because I've, I feel
- 1:02:36that running a radio station like this, it reaches a lot more
- 1:02:42veterans. And then when you bring them on
- 1:02:46board and, you know, they conduct a show for themselves
- 1:02:50or, you know, it even helps even more because we talk about it.
- 1:02:56You know, there's, there's been times that me and MJ both are
- 1:03:00mad and we come on to a show and, you know, and we vent about
- 1:03:04it. And I think that it helps a lot
- 1:03:07of veterans and it shows the community what stuff that we're
- 1:03:11going through. So that's, that's, that's pretty
- 1:03:16much trauma lines hurt. I don't care where.
- 1:03:22You played a part. Trauma lines are emotional
- 1:03:26events. They are just a part of everyday
- 1:03:32lives. I think veterans are compounded
- 1:03:35or first responders to even bridge the first responders out
- 1:03:39there because we have to honor them as well for their services
- 1:03:43of our protection and our safety.
- 1:03:45So when we already have trauma in our child, trauma lines from
- 1:03:48just who we are, and then we have more trauma lines or events
- 1:03:53within the military, this creates a huge downfall in the
- 1:03:56mental capacities of healing. And this is where I think our
- 1:04:02veterans could really use a bilateral healing center instead
- 1:04:07of just a physical healing center.
- 1:04:09I think it takes both sides to balance that.
- 1:04:12That's my opinion. Yeah.
- 1:04:14And and Doug, whenever you're ready to do.
- 1:04:16A podcast or anything, you know, you could come here and, and you
- 1:04:21know, we'll, we'll help you teach you and, and guide you on
- 1:04:24that. That's what that's what NBR is
- 1:04:26in Berkeley. He might be on Team us.
- 1:04:30He went to Berkeley. I think he better teach us
- 1:04:32something. I mean, I just did strictly
- 1:04:35some. Music production stuff and
- 1:04:36editing and Pro Tools and all the software stuff to to do
- 1:04:39music and some songwriting and guitar stuff as well.
- 1:04:42But nothing, nothing podcast was and this is I had to make sure
- 1:04:45before this was started, I had this camera set up properly and
- 1:04:48did all this stuff. So I love the person.
- 1:04:52Behind do you know who that that?
- 1:04:53Is behind you. This is the This is the cover of
- 1:04:56the album. Of the single, the military.
- 1:04:58And this is just the guy, this is the character in that kind of
- 1:05:00video, in the in the music video.
- 1:05:02So piercing. I mean, what a statement?
- 1:05:05With the mud on the face, with the stern.
- 1:05:07What a beautiful. Who your marketing for that is
- 1:05:12awesome. I have to tell you that that is
- 1:05:15piercing. Yeah, I'm a business.
- 1:05:17Major and I'm. And I'm when you see that cover,
- 1:05:19you're like, damn, man. He hit it dead on that.
- 1:05:22That's awesome. Thank you.
- 1:05:23I appreciate that. Yeah, you're welcome.
- 1:05:25You're very welcome SO. We, we, we know how.
- 1:05:28Long it took you to edit and and fix the stuff.
- 1:05:33How long did it take you to for it to just just come to you?
- 1:05:39Or did you constantly hit a, a wall when it comes to like,
- 1:05:45right, you know, writer's block, whatever you want to call it.
- 1:05:48Did you did you ever get that during the song that you
- 1:05:52created? So lyrically wise, I mean, it
- 1:05:55takes me a while. To write a song.
- 1:05:56I know some artists are out there and they're like, I wrote
- 1:05:58this song in 15 minutes on my floor or whatever.
- 1:06:00That doesn't usually happen to me.
- 1:06:01I spent a lot of time coming up with kind of an idea, and then I
- 1:06:04just start writing, writing, and then I filter things out and
- 1:06:06then it slowly comes together. But even then, you know, like I
- 1:06:09could spend a week or more refining certain lyrics, a
- 1:06:13little bit obsessed with it, I would say, but I want to get it
- 1:06:16perfect. It's a it's a every song that I
- 1:06:18do, It's very important lyric. I would say more than anything
- 1:06:21else that's this song is very heavy on lyrics.
- 1:06:24So it takes a bit. And then the video wise, the
- 1:06:26video is very similar as well. It took me a lot of cuts, a lot
- 1:06:30of edits, a lot of different pictures, video clips to string
- 1:06:33together to get exactly what I wanted.
- 1:06:34And right now with the way the AI software is, you can't get
- 1:06:37exactly what you want every time.
- 1:06:38So I'm going to have a clip from like for instance, with the
- 1:06:41friends that it talks with the military scene when they're
- 1:06:43watching his friend the 32nd clip on the TVI put in the first
- 1:06:47couple AI prompts for that and it came out there looking real
- 1:06:51serious. And then they start laughing.
- 1:06:53So obviously I can't have friends laughing at a funeral
- 1:06:55scene. So that took, you know, time to
- 1:06:57redo that and get that proper where they looked, you know,
- 1:06:59upset and sad. And at the same time, I just
- 1:07:01want to say the the studio owner that I give my music done at
- 1:07:06cyber cyber stun in Boston. He said the video.
- 1:07:08I won't quote exactly much, but if someone had done this
- 1:07:10professionally, I, I would not have had that much money for a
- 1:07:14while. Let's just say that very, very
- 1:07:15expensive. And the way I was able to do
- 1:07:17this with AI software was incredibly cheap compared to
- 1:07:20having this done professionally, which I would, I would say is
- 1:07:22the, the biggest thing I'm kind of proud of is that I saved
- 1:07:25myself a lot of money and I came out very, very well with the
- 1:07:28tools that I used and I did it on my own.
- 1:07:29So yeah, fantastic. Have you ever thought, Doug,
- 1:07:34about mentoring other veterans and, you know, getting a part of
- 1:07:39some of the non profits that help veterans like yourself to
- 1:07:44to write lyrics and, you know, just to learn more about
- 1:07:48themselves and the instrument and all?
- 1:07:51I I didn't know if you was a part of some of those
- 1:07:54organizations or, you know, tell, tell us about that.
- 1:08:00Yeah, absolutely. I used to volunteer at the
- 1:08:02local. VA hospital here for a bit, you
- 1:08:04know, because of my, the time, short time I spent in there and
- 1:08:06met those people. I said, you know, I'd like to
- 1:08:08help out here and I'm, I'm a lot less wounded than some of these
- 1:08:11guys and I feel like since I have some experience, I was
- 1:08:14remember trying to that was these, these people that have
- 1:08:17PTS, things like that. I, I seem to just do well, you
- 1:08:19know, interacting with some people.
- 1:08:20So I did volunteer for a bit and then my life kind of got in the
- 1:08:24way and I had to take care of my responsibilities and get my
- 1:08:26stuff straightened out. At this point.
- 1:08:28I'm doing a lot of work full time now in the music and
- 1:08:31getting my next song ready coming up here, the girl in the
- 1:08:33yellow it's called. But I, I think of the future.
- 1:08:36I'll probably get back into doing a little bit of
- 1:08:38volunteering here and there, whether it's, you know, once a
- 1:08:40week, once a month, something at all, just to touch base with the
- 1:08:43veterans and staying active in the community.
- 1:08:45That's something I do enjoy doing right this second.
- 1:08:48I'm very busy, but you know, I'm going to have time and I'm going
- 1:08:50to do it again because I do enjoy it for sure.
- 1:08:53Can you tell us this for? People who always say I don't
- 1:08:57know how to help and you just said I I assist by volunteering.
- 1:09:00What do you do as volunteers? Maybe people listening could
- 1:09:04take it into their local VA hospitals and maybe volunteer
- 1:09:08the same way you did. For sure.
- 1:09:09So I mean, everyone has a skill set, you know?
- 1:09:11Whether it's just sitting there talking in an open ear to listen
- 1:09:15to somebody and and just talk to them.
- 1:09:16Me personally, music go in there, whether it's playing
- 1:09:20music off a phone they recommend hey who wants to what song
- 1:09:23should we play? Play the song talk about how
- 1:09:25does this relate to you? How do you feel about it or go
- 1:09:27and actually play some music. When I was in the VA hospital,
- 1:09:32they let me bring a guitar in. And it was funny, the amounts of
- 1:09:36not feedback, but like just camaraderie.
- 1:09:39A guitar dropped into a place where everyone's depressed and
- 1:09:41people are not feeling the best past the guitar and people
- 1:09:44playing songs, telling stories. All this reminds me this one
- 1:09:47time. I mean, music is very
- 1:09:48therapeutic, as I'm sure you know.
- 1:09:50So that would be my, my, what I could bring to it.
- 1:09:52And that's what I had brought in the past.
- 1:09:54Other people, you know, they could just take a walk with
- 1:09:56veterans, just walk around, talk with them.
- 1:09:58It doesn't have to be being serious.
- 1:09:59You don't have to be a specialist and a psychologist to
- 1:10:02go lend an ear, you know, listen to their stories or share what
- 1:10:05you can help them with. I'm sure other people could help
- 1:10:07them, you know better and start a business.
- 1:10:08They have a skill set for that. They could volunteer that.
- 1:10:10Any kind of skill set you have it, whether it be cooking,
- 1:10:13talking, singing, playing the guitar, anything.
- 1:10:15You know, if you have the time, don't be afraid to do it right
- 1:10:19if you had any. Words of advice for the veterans
- 1:10:23in the song? What would that be?
- 1:10:27That's a great question. Any words of advice?
- 1:10:29I think the, the kind of theme of the song in the beginning, it
- 1:10:32talks about the, the little black and white with the, with
- 1:10:35the text. You know, people, we lose people
- 1:10:37every year and some of those are self-inflicted.
- 1:10:39I would say if people are looking for seeking help,
- 1:10:41they're not doing well, they need to reach outreach out.
- 1:10:44Don't be afraid and don't think, you know, I can't deal with
- 1:10:46this. This is too much.
- 1:10:47Just talk to somebody, whether it's a family member, someone
- 1:10:50you don't know, even just contact someone.
- 1:10:52I would say the biggest problem I feel like with veteran
- 1:10:54suicides nowadays is people don't reach out enough and they
- 1:10:57feel like they can't get the hell and vice versa.
- 1:10:59I would say if you know someone in trouble, offer the help, even
- 1:11:02if you just said, hey man, how you doing?
- 1:11:04Are you going all right? I don't think people check in
- 1:11:05enough at the same time. So I think it's an old pattern
- 1:11:08myself. I think it's an old.
- 1:11:09Belief pattern that you know, soldiers don't cry, right?
- 1:11:14It's I know that I was born in the 60s and it and it's a
- 1:11:17pattern that you want to cry. I'll give you something to cry
- 1:11:19about. And you get in the military and
- 1:11:20it's like you don't have time to cry and you don't have time to
- 1:11:23mourn. You don't have time to think
- 1:11:24that. And I think that removes our
- 1:11:27abilities to actually balance our thought figures and going
- 1:11:31forward. And so that to me again, your
- 1:11:35song and understanding this is how it is.
- 1:11:38You cannot have that old philosophy and that old pattern
- 1:11:41that you can't speak up, that you can't.
- 1:11:43That is that is healing. The more that you speak.
- 1:11:45That's what MBR. So I loved about MBR is because
- 1:11:49you're allowed to rehabilitate and revocationalize here as a
- 1:11:53veteran to have a voice, to be able to speak, whether it turns,
- 1:11:57you know, that that that Channel to an emotion or it turns it
- 1:12:03into a smile. I think that everybody to be
- 1:12:06grounded and your music, Yes. But I love that you said music
- 1:12:09is healing. It really is.
- 1:12:10And there's so much about music and sound therapy that heals,
- 1:12:14especially when you have to ground in.
- 1:12:16And most of the time if you're playing a guitar, are you
- 1:12:18playing a 12th string or sixth string?
- 1:12:20It's just a sixth string, yeah. So you're basically.
- 1:12:22Playing in the 400 frequencies. That's awesome because that is
- 1:12:26very grounding for a lot of veterans and and again, more
- 1:12:30more power and kudos to you. Do you have more songs written
- 1:12:34for military or is this really the only one currently?
- 1:12:37This is the only one you know I'm.
- 1:12:39Not like I said, I'm not really like a military song artist, but
- 1:12:41this happened to be the first song I wanted to put out the
- 1:12:44timeline lined up for Memorial Day.
- 1:12:46I really like the whole song. The way the lyrics involved in
- 1:12:50that thing was a complete song. I thought it was the best one to
- 1:12:53release first. My other songs are a little more
- 1:12:56kind of mainstream pop rock songs for the most part, but
- 1:13:00similar to this, a lot of country and sound in those as
- 1:13:02well. Do you have your website and
- 1:13:05stuff up? I don't have an actual personal
- 1:13:08website at the. Moment I've been working on all
- 1:13:10the social media stuff, making sure that's up to date.
- 1:13:13And I've just been heavily involved in the next song that
- 1:13:16will probably be on July called The Girl in the Yellow, which is
- 1:13:18more of, like I said, a pop rock song, a little a little more
- 1:13:22light hearted after this first one, which I think is necessary.
- 1:13:25We would love to air it here if you give us that permission.
- 1:13:28We would love to help promote and make you as successful as
- 1:13:32you want. I appreciate it.
- 1:13:33Absolutely, 100% I'll be. Contacting you guys again as
- 1:13:36soon as that's ready to be to be put out.
- 1:13:38Yeah, listen to me, I'm not age trained, but.
- 1:13:42Yeah, the the, the. Kind of final.
- 1:13:44Question before we get into the time of shine, it's I believe
- 1:13:49every veteran has that one veteran that is either still
- 1:13:53around or has passed away. That one veteran that like
- 1:13:58opened your eyes to life or opened your eyes to something.
- 1:14:03With that being in mind, I would love to give you the opportunity
- 1:14:09to, you know, because it is Memorial Day, speak upon a
- 1:14:13veteran that is that that's that's in your mind and let you
- 1:14:19know on behalf of MBR where you know, we can say thank you for
- 1:14:24his service. Is there a veteran that you have
- 1:14:27in mind that you would like to talk about today?
- 1:14:30Yeah, that's a tough one. There is.
- 1:14:32A friend of mine actually, who I met while I was in the VA
- 1:14:34hospital for depression. Really great guy.
- 1:14:37I won't say his last name, but Adam, great looking kid, really
- 1:14:42handsome guy, really fun, great personality, always had a smile,
- 1:14:46always joking around. I was keeping the other people
- 1:14:48that be very, very friendly. He struggled a lot, you know,
- 1:14:52mentally. He went through a lot of demons
- 1:14:54and you could tell. And he years ago I was friends
- 1:14:56with his sister who actually came in as well.
- 1:14:59And we became really close. We had a little tight unit of us
- 1:15:01that we hung out and kept together and, you know, hang out
- 1:15:04afterward and kept in contact. And I'd see him as I was going
- 1:15:07for my appointments here and there, physicals, dental stuff
- 1:15:11here. And then, you know, I'd see him,
- 1:15:12Hey, what's up? And he always smile in his face.
- 1:15:14But he was always very self-conscious.
- 1:15:15He was a great looking kid. I mean, really handsome guy.
- 1:15:18But he just couldn't, couldn't get it past himself, just his
- 1:15:22nerves and his anxiety. And he ended up ended up passing
- 1:15:25away and it was just tough, you know, I.
- 1:15:29I was great friends. I'm still friends with his
- 1:15:30sister and I talked with her for a while after that and learned
- 1:15:33the insurance and outs, that whole situation, but nobody kind
- 1:15:36of had any ID. And then all of a sudden one day
- 1:15:38we got the news and it was very, very sad.
- 1:15:40So Adam, I think it'll be someone that comes to mind.
- 1:15:42And this Memorial Day, the play is going to Adam.
- 1:15:47Thank you. I appreciate that, Doug.
- 1:15:49I really. Do I appreciate that?
- 1:15:51You know, before we go into the time to shine, MJ, is there any
- 1:15:57questions that you would like to ask Doug before we, before we
- 1:16:00hit it really. Doug, do you?
- 1:16:05So for everybody out there, are you married?
- 1:16:11No. No, I've never.
- 1:16:12Been married, no kids. But I do want kids and I do want
- 1:16:15to eventually get married, whether it's a traditional
- 1:16:17marriage or just stay together and be together without the
- 1:16:20whole yes, yes, so. Not at the moment.
- 1:16:24I am single and. I'm glad I I need the time at
- 1:16:26the moment to to keep going with this.
- 1:16:27So can you give us so we can post it up?
- 1:16:30Here because I just put at Doug Wilds.
- 1:16:33Is there a social media you would like us to put out?
- 1:16:36Sure, yeah. I mean at Doug Wilds.
- 1:16:38Is my Instagram Facebook? It should be Doug Wilds again,
- 1:16:42the links are coming but I just did an artist page I just set up
- 1:16:44for that but at Doug Wilds. Instagram is probably the best
- 1:16:46one, I would say. All right, so that's what I I
- 1:16:49have been tagging. You out, but I'll put it the
- 1:16:51Instagram for you and so that way hopefully.
- 1:16:55And then we'll keep sharing. That.
- 1:16:59Yeah. All right.
- 1:17:00Awesome. Well, Doug, it is that time.
- 1:17:03This is the time that we call It's your time to shine.
- 1:17:08Today's time to shine. Is brought to you by Dunkin'
- 1:17:13Donuts veterans and 1st responders.
- 1:17:17Runs on Duncan. This is your.
- 1:17:23Time to shine, believe me. Is the time to shine.
- 1:17:27Doug, maybe we didn't ask you the right question or set you up
- 1:17:31for the right answer. You know, we, we, we come into
- 1:17:34these interviews with, you know, these questions to ask and then
- 1:17:39while you're talking, it kind of remisses us to go off the rails
- 1:17:44and ask you another question that you brought out.
- 1:17:48So this is your two-minute platform to say whatever,
- 1:17:52whatever is on your mind that you want to push out there that
- 1:17:56we didn't really get to cover right.
- 1:17:59I think you guys did a great job this.
- 1:18:00Is my first kind of go with this.
- 1:18:02Like I feel like we covered quite a bit of everything that's
- 1:18:04important, you know, some military stuff, stuff about
- 1:18:07myself. The song I have, I do have music
- 1:18:09coming out here in the future. The Girl in the Yellow will be
- 1:18:12the next release. It's a kind of a rock pop, like
- 1:18:15a little bit electronic song, a little more light hearted.
- 1:18:18I do want to say, by the way, that commercial was very well
- 1:18:20timed. It's a Dunkin' Donuts commercial
- 1:18:22and I live in Massachusetts. That's huge here.
- 1:18:24So I kind of laughed at that. I know that was on purpose, but
- 1:18:27it was it was well placed. Yeah.
- 1:18:29No, I think you guys did a great job.
- 1:18:30I mean, I don't really have too much to say.
- 1:18:32I don't like to talk about myself too much.
- 1:18:34I know. I know the feeling.
- 1:18:35I know you know. It it feels good to finally get
- 1:18:38to the place. Of my life where I'm able to
- 1:18:39just do this full time, you know, I want to do this when I
- 1:18:42was younger had to do the school thing did the military thing.
- 1:18:44And now it's it's time I can just enjoy and write music,
- 1:18:47create music. I'm already working on the video
- 1:18:49for the next the girl in the yellow video, which gives me a
- 1:18:51little more creative freedom as it's not based on a specific
- 1:18:54story with the for the military, you know, timeline of the story
- 1:18:57of the soldier entering and passing away this and that this
- 1:19:00is just going to be a fun video. I'm going to make it as cool as
- 1:19:03possible and have it go along with the song again.
- 1:19:05And I plan to do this for every song I release.
- 1:19:07So that's also just a little additive excitement on top of
- 1:19:10making the song, finishing the song and then the video is just
- 1:19:13like once the song is done, I get to enjoy a week worth of
- 1:19:16time creating those. I am in the studio right now.
- 1:19:18I just went the other day, I think 2 days ago.
- 1:19:20I go back this Friday. It should be out July sometime,
- 1:19:24The Girl in the Yellow. And I'll be releasing a song
- 1:19:25within every two months after that going forward.
- 1:19:28So so we talked about social media.
- 1:19:30I'm. Sorry, H Spotify, iTunes, Roku.
- 1:19:34Where can we find you, Hun? Yeah, you know, that's a good
- 1:19:36point. Instagram's great.
- 1:19:38If people want to connect, I'll be putting a lot of pictures on
- 1:19:40there going forward and stuff. But Spotify, YouTube, I mean,
- 1:19:43those are the big things where you're going to find my music.
- 1:19:45Spotify, it's on all platforms. Let's look up Doug Wilds, Doug
- 1:19:49Space WILDES. That's me and you can find me
- 1:19:53anywhere. It's Amazon, Apple, Spotify,
- 1:19:56Tidal, Deezer, all those places. So I think that would be the
- 1:19:59biggest thing to you can do Vevo no Vamio, Vamio.
- 1:20:05Anything I used TuneCore for? My distribution.
- 1:20:08So they pretty much put it everywhere you can possibly
- 1:20:10imagine. I'm not IT, I'm sorry.
- 1:20:13Yeah. I'm not either, that's why I
- 1:20:17have them. Do it for me.
- 1:20:18So I just, you know, they put it out and then if I don't find
- 1:20:20this, I'm like wise museum, then they fix it.
- 1:20:21So no, you don't understand. I'm back at.
- 1:20:24Open Apple D Open close Apple D That's my, that's.
- 1:20:30My IT, there you go. I I'm.
- 1:20:34Kidding, but. I here's the other question that
- 1:20:37I have. Do you, are you currently doing
- 1:20:40any type of concerts that people can hire you?
- 1:20:44I used to do some live shows here.
- 1:20:46Open mic. So I did a small I was with a
- 1:20:48band a long time ago, just kind of having fun doing the cover
- 1:20:51songs. I'm actually more focused right
- 1:20:53now at getting a grouping of songs together, finishing as
- 1:20:56many songs as I can this year and then putting some together.
- 1:20:59Then that would be, you know, something to keep in mind.
- 1:21:02Maybe I would do some kind of touring.
- 1:21:04We'll see how that goes. I'm comfortable pressing myself,
- 1:21:07you know, releasing music, putting online, getting to the
- 1:21:10next song, getting in the next video and putting it out where
- 1:21:12everybody can enjoy it rather than a small locale, Although I
- 1:21:15know that is a thing that people do need to do eventually in the
- 1:21:17future. Is is tour around?
- 1:21:19So but for right now, just focus on getting these songs done and
- 1:21:22finishing like a some kind of an EP or an album.
- 1:21:25Got you. So the next question is do.
- 1:21:27You have anybody who you want to thank for this beautiful song in
- 1:21:31helping and assisting you. Yeah, I was I.
- 1:21:35Was think the same person? Though the only reason I made my
- 1:21:37mom, I love my mom. So you know, she's helped me
- 1:21:41through my whole life. I don't think I'd be in this
- 1:21:42position to do this without her. And she actually came up with a
- 1:21:45little ending scene in the video, which is great.
- 1:21:47She's proud of with her mother when she's the mother's getting
- 1:21:49emotional and she's kind of starts crying and smiling at the
- 1:21:52same time. And it's her with her little boy
- 1:21:54on the beach. So that's what she's
- 1:21:55remembering. My mom came up with that clip,
- 1:21:57so shots my mom for that fantastic.
- 1:21:59So you don't have a band number you.
- 1:22:00Actually, do all your own music. This is all me.
- 1:22:03That's the thing. A lot of you look at these.
- 1:22:04Bands. There's some great bands out
- 1:22:06there. One that comes to mind of me is
- 1:22:08Oasis. I love the Oasis.
- 1:22:10Growing up as a kid, they can't stay together because they find
- 1:22:11all the time. The more people you involved in
- 1:22:13one thing, the more problems can happen.
- 1:22:15I mean, granted there are bands that are incredible bands that
- 1:22:17stay here the whole career. I just right now for me, I like
- 1:22:21to control everything myself, make things sound the way I
- 1:22:23want. And I think he chose all right,
- 1:22:32well, hey, you, that's OK. Because we, we, we're, we're
- 1:22:37getting ready to hit that time for the tribute to the troops.
- 1:22:42Ladies and gentlemen, that was Doug Wilds, an amazing person.
- 1:22:48I, I love the song and I can't wait until I see more of his art
- 1:22:54as well. And remember, he's a veteran.
- 1:22:56Everybody go and get on that Spotify, get on my iTunes
- 1:23:00downloaded a couple of times, you know, just just for good
- 1:23:04measures. Well, it is that time.
- 1:23:07We're going to go to our Tribute to the Troops, which is
- 1:23:11sponsored, of course, by Tracerone's podcast.
- 1:23:16When we get done with Tribute to the Troops, we will be back.
- 1:23:20We'll hit the final thoughts and yeah, we'll wrap it up.
- 1:23:25So whatever it is, even hi baby, Even hi.
- 1:23:29You're listening to the H transfer right here on.
- 1:23:31Military broadcast radio where our voices, our veteran voices
- 1:23:36are are trips to trips detail attention first call.
- 1:23:46The service member's name is called out loud.
- 1:23:49In the context of a unit. This is meant to ensure all are
- 1:23:52present and accounted for. Second call, The name is called
- 1:23:57out again louder to confirm that the service member is indeed
- 1:24:00absent. Third call, The name is called
- 1:24:04out for a final time, followed by a statement indicating that
- 1:24:08the service member is not present and accounted for,
- 1:24:10signifying their death. The final roll call serves as a
- 1:24:14symbolic gesture to respect and remember their service.
- 1:24:23Sir, I don't. I don't know how to tell the
- 1:24:26story. Well, you got the joke.
- 1:24:30You tell them there are people what these men did here.
- 1:24:33You tell them how much troopers died.
- 1:25:01Hey everyone, thank you for tuning into MBR today as we pay
- 1:25:05tribute to Air Force veteran Master Sergeant Charles Richard
- 1:25:08Rory, age 75, of Arlington, TX. Charles, or Rick as he was
- 1:25:13known. By his friends.
- 1:25:14Was born on February 21st, 1939 in Bridgeton, NJ.
- 1:25:19Rick enlisted in the US Air Force in 1956 at the age of 17
- 1:25:24as a radar operator. One of his first duty stations
- 1:25:27was Japan. Some of his other assignments

- 1:25:34in Mount Holly, NJ. At his duty station at Herbert
- 1:25:39Field, Florida, he trained to be a Programming Technician.
- 1:25:42His last duty station was Shepard Air Force Base, Texas
- 1:25:46where he retired with 20 years of service on October 31st,
- 1:25:501976. He was a whiz with computers, a
- 1:25:53dog lover, a talented Pinnacle player, a true Dallas Cowboy
- 1:25:58football fan, the Texas Rangers baseball fan, and he loved
- 1:26:02telling jokes. Rick passed away on January
- 1:26:0623rd, 2015 with family by his side.
- 1:26:10He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and

- 1:26:24Michael, as well as his grandchildren, Tiffany,
- 1:26:27Jennifer, Robert, Michael, Joseph and Tony, his sisters
- 1:26:31Catherine and Mary Anne, and extended family and friends.
- 1:26:36We here at NBR would like to thank you Rick Glory for your.
- 1:26:40Service and dedication to our country.
- 1:26:42You leave a legacy of love and courage.
- 1:26:45Our prayers are with your family, friends and those who
- 1:26:48served alongside you. You are truly missed.
- 1:26:52Go Cowboys. Ready.
- 1:31:58veterans voices are. Heard MBR talk.
- 1:32:03Hey, thanks for tuning in. Welcome are those of the
- 1:32:07speakers and. Do not necessarily reflect the
- 1:32:11views or positions of any entities.
- 1:32:13They represent the web at MB radio dot.
- 1:32:19All. Right.
- 1:32:19Welcome back, everybody. You're listening to the ACE
- 1:32:22Train show right here on the station that's letting our
- 1:32:26veterans voices be heard. MB RI also want to make a quick
- 1:32:31shout out. We are on DV Radio as well.
- 1:32:35They're one of our sponsors. We're also OnStar Radio.
- 1:32:41And I, I got to talk to him later today.
- 1:32:45It sounds like we we want to remove that.
- 1:32:49It sounds like tomorrow or it sounds like Star Radio might be
- 1:32:55retiring. So Kyle has done an exceptional
- 1:33:01job at that station, you know, and so many good Internet
- 1:33:06stations out there, you know, and the bad thing about it is
- 1:33:10sometimes you don't know about a good thing until it's gone.
- 1:33:15You know there was a Nakota shut us right, right.
- 1:33:21Well. You know, there's there's.
- 1:33:22Still, there's this TikTok that there's this guy that he walks
- 1:33:27around and then his belly like bounces, you know, and this is a
- 1:33:34real popular TikTok and you know, the, the he, he, he passed
- 1:33:41away. So he was, he was known and
- 1:33:45famous, more famous now that he died.
- 1:33:47And, you know, another person that never minds me of which I
- 1:33:50mean, I wouldn't say he's more famous.
- 1:33:53I just, I, I think, I, I think people kind of look the other
- 1:34:01direction because of his faults and that that was Michael
- 1:34:04Jackson. You know, I, I truly believe
- 1:34:07Michael Jackson is more popular dead than he was alive.
- 1:34:12I mean, he was pretty popular. But like, there was a there was
- 1:34:16a moment where which all those like allegations and stuff, you
- 1:34:20know, those, you know, that was part of the Diddy thing.
- 1:34:23Yeah. I saw that in.
- 1:34:25The court. I, I couldn't believe how deep
- 1:34:30even I mean, this whole thing goes back to Melvin Combs with
- 1:34:33Elvis Presley. I am I am just in this the
- 1:34:39corruption. I.
- 1:34:42You know, it's time to make a stand in our own country.
- 1:34:46There has been too many open borders, there has been too many
- 1:34:50entitlements, too many people that are thinking of power with
- 1:34:53money. I really believe we're not a
- 1:34:55fascist company, we're not a dictator company.
- 1:34:58But you are not going to take the free will of man.
- 1:35:01I mean, you're here for freedom. And these undermining the I I
- 1:35:07made a a comment on one of the court things.
- 1:35:10I said these celebrities and those who follow some of these
- 1:35:13celebrities, they really needed a lot of healing.
- 1:35:17And somebody said that I was a hypocrite by saying that.
- 1:35:20And what no one's supposed to have music.
- 1:35:22I go, I didn't say that I go. What I meant with it was I gave
- 1:35:27money to some of these artists, even for my children to go to
- 1:35:30their concerts. I go.
- 1:35:31So I was empowering such evil, such horror.
- 1:35:35And I said, where is the establishment?
- 1:35:38And if you actually listen to people in Hollywood or you
- 1:35:41listen to some of these childhood actors, they are an
- 1:35:44anxiety mess due to that fundamental.
- 1:35:48And then when they start bringing people up, it's, it is,
- 1:35:52it's emotionally disturbing and it is for the highest good.
- 1:35:57The shake ups and the shake ups are happening all over the world
- 1:35:59right now. We, we talked about that in the
- 1:36:01behind the headlines. There is a lot of shake UPS with
- 1:36:04the same type of energy that is happening.
- 1:36:06And the curtains are coming down.
- 1:36:08Who is the man behind the curtain?
- 1:36:10And it's time for our Cias and our Fbis to stop the BS and call
- 1:36:17it out and cut it out for the health, and I mean the people's
- 1:36:21lives that have been mentally abused, killing, sexually
- 1:36:24abused, physically abused it. How do we as society pay for
- 1:36:30those records and those things because of money powering I,
- 1:36:35I'm, I'm not in awe. I'm not in awe.
- 1:36:40I don't know, maybe I'm wrong. I don't know.
- 1:36:42No, you're not wrong. You're not wrong, you know.
- 1:36:46We have a lot of evil today because it surrounds us because
- 1:36:54of the Internet and stuff. But I want to assure people that
- 1:36:59the stuff that is happening today, it happened a long time
- 1:37:03ago. You just know more about it now
- 1:37:06because of media. Social media makes it makes it
- 1:37:11easier to get your point across. I mean Chewy Presley yesterday.
- 1:37:21Archives. Of Elvis in that same thing with
- 1:37:25Melvin Combs. And you can see he's way as a
- 1:37:28ghost. He's not even responsive.
- 1:37:30That same party, the very next time he turned around, everybody
- 1:37:34always asks, I don't know if everybody can remember back in
- 1:37:36the 70s, but what was the black helicopter?
- 1:37:39It wasn't Elvis's. No, they dropped Elvis off and
- 1:37:41said he died of a heart attack. Now it's coming out.
- 1:37:45And Chewie Presley told talked for his grandfather of the
- 1:37:49archives that they found in this so-called faux room of of Elvis
- 1:37:54Presley's mansion. How many years, how many years
- 1:37:57later they didn't even know about this room, but it was all
- 1:38:00his journals and all of the recordings that he was being
- 1:38:03blackmailed by the Combs by the deeper, whatever they call it.
- 1:38:08I don't, I can't remember what they called it, but it's it's
- 1:38:11sad. Yeah.
- 1:38:15Wow. Well, hey.
- 1:38:17You know, not, not not coming out of that subject or anything,
- 1:38:20but you know, I don't know if I let everybody know, but for
- 1:38:25sports here in the local area, the the Denver Nuggets have
- 1:38:31appointed David Adelman as their full time head coach following
- 1:38:35the playoff exit item and had been serving as the interim
- 1:38:39coach after the dismissal of Michael Malone and GM Calvin
- 1:38:44Booth. He I, I guess he's he's still
- 1:38:50there. They're waiting, they're waiting
- 1:38:52to get rid of him now. Rocky Struggle, as always
- 1:38:56holding the league's worst record at 8 and 42, are set to
- 1:39:01face the New York Yankees this weekend.
- 1:39:03The Yankees are on a winning streak, making them this a
- 1:39:07challenging series for the Rockies.
- 1:39:10And last but not least, 2025 USA Volleyball Open National
- 1:39:17Championships kick off today at the Colorado Convention Center
- 1:39:21running through May 28th. Visit RTD For more information.

- 1:39:45in because it's going to be 65° all throughout the week until we
- 1:39:50see you guys again on Thursday and then it will bump up to 72.
- 1:39:56We we kind of brushed up and didn't really talk about it,
- 1:40:00but. The three global stories right
- 1:40:04now is severe flooding in Australia, South Wales is
- 1:40:08experiencing devastating floods resulting in multiple
- 1:40:13fatalities, widespread damage. Officials linked the increasing
- 1:40:19frequency of such events to climate control.
- 1:40:23U.S. dollar declines. In fact, yesterday was reported
- 1:40:28that we we were doing away with pitties.
- 1:40:32You know, it's it's it's done over with Mint has I need the
- 1:40:35pennies. Everybody give me your
- 1:40:38worthless. Pennies.
- 1:40:38I need them to ship my Halo stickers.
- 1:40:41Send them today. So yeah, the US dollar.
- 1:40:45Continues to weaken following the narrow approval of President
- 1:40:49Trump's 3.8 bill trillion tax and spending bill, raising
- 1:40:56concerns over long term debt and potential interest rate cuts.
- 1:41:00And then totems European league. Oh, we have a phone call.
- 1:41:07I didn't hear it. I didn't hear it well,
- 1:41:14evidently. Evidently I miss it.
- 1:41:18Well, I just want to know how do you?
- 1:41:20Guys in Denver rate of getting 80° and I don't see anything
- 1:41:25besides the high of 68° for the next 10 days.
- 1:41:31It's going to be like Seattle. That's probably what it is.
- 1:41:34Penzel, Tucky. What is going on here?

- 1:43:05Does that count And? I've also been to Pink Floyd
- 1:43:10with the lasers. Oh yeah.
- 1:43:13Oh. Man, I was blessed to have met
- 1:43:16Rodger Walters when we went to a concert with the Wounded Warrior
- 1:43:23Program. Very blessed, very blessed.
- 1:43:27He's such a wholesome and good guy.

- 1:43:58Check out those times on visit Denver as well.
- 1:44:02Now I think this this section the major festival and events
- 1:44:06that that's in your neck of the woods.
- 1:44:09Tell us what's going on in your neck of the woods.
- 1:44:11MJ So I'm going to to be honest, I.
- 1:44:14Didn't come prepared because I live on top of a mountain and we
- 1:44:16don't really have a lot of festivities.
- 1:44:18However, Philadelphia, they always have beautiful parades
- 1:44:23hailing on Monday. There are tastes of wines down
- 1:44:29in the Montour County area, up in the Allegheny area and they
- 1:44:34are actually having their festivals already.
- 1:44:38There is also my claim to fame and I love them, which is the
- 1:44:42Derby. So there's a lot of demolition
- 1:44:45derbies going on that are proceeding.
- 1:44:48I believe it is a Halifax, but you're going to have to check it
- 1:44:52out. I did not come prepared.
- 1:44:54I'm sorry. Sorry about that.
- 1:44:55No, no, that's OK. So I actually.
- 1:44:57Did I? I actually did it for you,
- 1:45:02Devin. The Horse Show and County Fair
- 1:45:05in Devon. It's the nation's oldest and
- 1:45:07largest outdoor multi breed horror show continues through
- 1:45:12June 1st featuring equation competitions, dog show, family
- 1:45:18friendly atmosphere. Mayfair Festivals of the Arts in
- 1:45:24Allentown Held at Cedar Crest College, these free festivals
- 1:45:29offers live music, art expeditions, workshops and
- 1:45:34performances suitable for all ages and the Greater Pittsburgh
- 1:45:39Food Truck Festival Washington Enjoy over 50 food trucks, live
- 1:45:46music, crafts, beer and art, artism venues.
- 1:45:52Hollywood Casino in the Meadows. I tell you what, I really like
- 1:45:59food trucks. I didn't think I would, but I
- 1:46:01really do like food trucks. And the nice thing about food
- 1:46:05tricks is when you go to that food truck and you grab his
- 1:46:10business card, when you have an event like a fundraiser, you can
- 1:46:16invite them to that fundraiser for them to sell their stuff.
- 1:46:22And sometimes they'll give you a little donation.
- 1:46:24So all those nonprofits that do events and stuff, just throwing
- 1:46:30it out there, that's a way, that's a tip, that's a
- 1:46:33suggestion to get food and even possibly getting donors because
- 1:46:39if they, they make some money, you know, 9 times out of 10,
- 1:46:44though, they'll donate 20% of what they made that day and to
- 1:46:49you guys. So just something to keep the
- 1:46:52nations because I know age train.
- 1:46:54'S not going to say it so I'm going to say it military
- 1:46:57broadcast radio is a 5O1C3 we are here for rehabilitation and
- 1:47:01revocation for our veterans so they can have a voice and tell
- 1:47:04their story to help them heal We are a non profit and we do
- 1:47:08accept all types of donations so that we can have our voice be
- 1:47:12heard as well as other veterans and we can actually help support
- 1:47:16with your donations different activities for veterans so that
- 1:47:20they can help heal them exactly you know and.
- 1:47:25Just so everybody knows we've been trying.
- 1:47:28I think we're I think I'm O and seven for grants.
- 1:47:31We want to talk about that. We're good.
- 1:47:34It's OK. We don't want to talk about the
- 1:47:36grants unless you're a grant writer out there.
- 1:47:38We want you and we want you. Please come if you're a grant
- 1:47:41writer. However, we are not grant
- 1:47:44writers, so we're fumbling through, but we're going to nail
- 1:47:46it because Father Mother got up there is going to make us donate
- 1:47:49that. And I gave you a universal
- 1:47:51check, so you use it. Yeah, also.
- 1:47:55Did you know about Harrisburg Arts Fest?
- 1:47:59It's a riverfront park, hosts more than 170 artisans, live
- 1:48:06entertainment, food trucking, activity for children, National
- 1:48:10Button Accordion Festival in Sharon.
- 1:48:15It's a celebration of polka music with live performance,
- 1:48:18dancing and jam sessions over the next three days.
- 1:48:22Well that's that sounds right up your alley MJ, I'm telling you.
- 1:48:25But that's like 4 hours away. Oh, OK.
- 1:48:28All right. All these like 4 hours away from
- 1:48:32your well I literally literally look at Pennsylvania like a.
- 1:48:35Box, right? Like the box that we're at.
- 1:48:37I am literally right here. You're talking about things that
- 1:48:40are here in the big cities in here and in here, OK, Closest
- 1:48:45one would Harrisburg is our capital and Harrisburg is about
- 1:48:49two hours from me. So that one close Wilkes Barre
- 1:48:52is about an hour and a half from me.
- 1:48:54So that's pretty cool. So those kind of things are are
- 1:48:57close into my region. I, I really went way out of the
- 1:49:02way. I, I am with the animals and the
- 1:49:06trees and I don't really have a lot of people.
- 1:49:08My nearest neighbor is over a quarter mile away and so unless
- 1:49:13you count my 500 Angus Blackhead beef who love to talk to me in
- 1:49:18the morning. Now real country.
- 1:49:24Pumpkin. Well, I don't know how far it is
- 1:49:27from you. But Perkasie and Doylestown,
- 1:49:32they're having parades. Eastern State Penitentiary in
- 1:49:38Philadelphia is having a parade as well.
- 1:49:43Yeah. Listen, towns, I'm telling you
- 1:49:46Pennsylvania. Loves their veterans.
- 1:49:48I've never seen a state who loves the veterans as much as
- 1:49:53Pennsylvania. Almost every mom and pop and
- 1:49:55almost every where that you go ask you are you a veteran?
- 1:50:00They'll give you almost 10 to 15% off on almost everything
- 1:50:03that you do. You obviously either have to
- 1:50:06have proof of your DD214 or whatever have you, but they do
- 1:50:09do it up here and it's and it's a blessing.
- 1:50:11Even our real estate, I don't even play real estate tax being
- 1:50:13100% disabled veteran. This is amazing.
- 1:50:17And every time there's a Memorial Day or there is
- 1:50:21Veteran's Day, there is always a parade honoring and all the
- 1:50:24small towns have a tribute to the troops sign of all those of
- 1:50:29our town members who have passed by giving their life to the
- 1:50:33veterans. It's an amazing thing.
- 1:50:34Even Jim Thorpe, I'm telling you, if you ever go to
- 1:50:37Pennsylvania, if you ought to go to Jim Thorpe, Jim Thorpe is you
- 1:50:41go back in time and it is the most quaint little town, but
- 1:50:44their troop supplies of their canyons.
- 1:50:46It's it's an amazing place. There's just so many things now.
- 1:50:49Next time we do the show. You'll have to, you'll have to
- 1:50:52give me the city that you're in so that I can look and see
- 1:50:56because you would be surprised how many hidden hidden gems
- 1:51:01there are in place. It's just because they just
- 1:51:04don't, you know, don't worry about promoting it, you know?
- 1:51:07So if those of you who ever heard the wineries in New York,
- 1:51:09the Finger Lakes, I'm very close to those I'm very close to.
- 1:51:12Elmira, Ithaca and Corning, the glass people.
- 1:51:15That is where I'm very close to. OK yeah, all right.
- 1:51:19Awesome. Or New York and the old people
- 1:51:21hate New York. But I'm.
- 1:51:23I'm on the Western New York, so I'm.
- 1:51:25On the beautiful side, I'm I'm looking for my, my, my, my.
- 1:51:32I'm not very good with this doing the sound and and talking
- 1:51:38at the same time. So I apologize for that.
- 1:51:41I'm I'm looking for the the final thoughts.
- 1:51:47Oh, here we go. Final thoughts. 554433211 we
- 1:51:59have ignition strapping, it's the two-minute.
- 1:52:00Warning, minute warning, what we earned today.
- 1:52:01Are you not entertained? At Project ML Gratitude, our
- 1:52:13mission is simple to give motorcycles to veterans who.
- 1:52:16Need the kind of peace and freedom that.
- 1:52:17Only a ride can give. All right, and once.
- 1:52:22Again, that is my good friend Kim Thompson, who runs ML
- 1:52:28gratitude. And recently a lot of things
- 1:52:31have happened this this week, you know, and I'll and I'll
- 1:52:36share it, you know, because this is the time where I asked, you
- 1:52:42know, what did you learn today and, and, and so far.
- 1:52:46So let me ask you a question, MJ.
- 1:52:48What? What did you learn today?
- 1:52:51I learned that if you have goals that you want to ascertain, you
- 1:52:55just put 1 foot in front of the. Other and keep moving forward.
- 1:52:58There is so many of us in the military who come back with an
- 1:53:03ailment. But if you put your mind and
- 1:53:05soul directly into saying that I am healed and I can keep going
- 1:53:08forward, no matter if it's a depression, no matter if it's a
- 1:53:11PTSD. Look at Doug Wilds.
- 1:53:14He was in the hospital for his own depression and his own
- 1:53:18problems, and he created that beautiful song.
- 1:53:21So that learning should teach all of us.
- 1:53:24If your mind, body and soul wants something, it can have it.
- 1:53:28You just need to get up and ask for help or get somebody to say,
- 1:53:33let's go and push you forward because that's what more of us
- 1:53:36need today. Instead of the sulking or
- 1:53:39hibernating with anxieties and stress, we need to open up and
- 1:53:42say, not me today, Satan, and go forward.
- 1:53:45Yeah. And you know the the things that
- 1:53:49I've learned. And I just want to reflect on it
- 1:53:53about a a week ago. MJ has been here for a year.
- 1:53:57Congratulations. You know, I, I, I love it.
- 1:54:02I, I really do. I love it.
- 1:54:04I love your show. I love.
- 1:54:05The vibe. That you bring in the morning,
- 1:54:07it totally motivates everybody throughout the day and stuff.
- 1:54:10That's why I like doing these morning shows.
- 1:54:13It really just you know, kind of trying to help charge you a
- 1:54:16little bit. Brings the vibes up baby.
- 1:54:20Also, May 18th was. Military broadcast radio's
- 1:54:24birthday so. It is basically 20 years old, so
- 1:54:31yeah, that looks good stuff. Also, today is my life day long
- 1:54:40time ago I tried to take my own life and it didn't work.
- 1:54:46And that's the reason why it didn't work, because evidently
- 1:54:49from there to now a lot has changed.
- 1:54:52And because you found love, you loved yourself.
- 1:54:56At the very end, you realized, wait, I love myself.
- 1:54:59And that's what it is. People with suicides out there,
- 1:55:03you need to love yourself. Don't worry with everything else
- 1:55:06around you. Tell them to go the FOA out,
- 1:55:10love you, love you. And that man there not only
- 1:55:14loves him, he is a giver. I told you in the beginning of
- 1:55:17the show about giving veterans are it's very hard because they
- 1:55:20are their soul is programmed to give to others, not to receive
- 1:55:25to ourselves. That is that's problematic for a
- 1:55:28lot of our soldiers who, as Joel will tell you, it was just too
- 1:55:33much and what was too much because you have to stop caring
- 1:55:36about everybody else. If you don't love you and don't
- 1:55:39care for you, you can't not loving care for anybody else.
- 1:55:42That is one of the most important things to remember out
- 1:55:45there. Indeed, indeed.
- 1:55:48You know, So a lot of great stuff has happened.
- 1:55:51This week, you know, thank you for letting yourself.
- 1:55:54Joel, thank you. And you know.
- 1:55:59We want to say congratulations. To Tracer, she is now sit what
- 1:56:04what we call the the sitting in VP until you know, we officially
- 1:56:10vote her in. A lot of a lot of good things
- 1:56:15are are are coming. You know, I want to reiterate
- 1:56:19that skydiving if you are a veteran of first responder, yes,
- 1:56:23first responder. If you are a veteran of first
- 1:56:26responder, send us a testimony, send us a BIOS, send us what
- 1:56:32does this junk, what does it mean to you?
- 1:56:35If you're giving the opportunity, we are doing that
- 1:56:40on July 4th. So get your testimonies, get
- 1:56:43your BIOS, get your nominations in before June 15th.
- 1:56:48OK, If nobody, if nobody gets nominated, then then all the
- 1:56:53hosts for MBR will just jump out of the plane.
- 1:56:55So don't let that happen. Get those testimonies and JS
- 1:57:00like you think I'm going to jump out of the plane.
- 1:57:02I have, I have in the Air Force. I have jumped.
- 1:57:05I have jumped. In fact, it was part of.
- 1:57:08My spiritual, whatever they said, I need to, I need to go
- 1:57:12back and suspend myself. And I was looking at this, I
- 1:57:16didn't have access to a jump where I was in Homestead, where
- 1:57:20I used to live before I moved back to Pennsylvania.
- 1:57:23And so I was looking at the sky zone to make that suspension in
- 1:57:27order to kick in a memory that I had out in the deserts.
- 1:57:31And I had, and I was trying to recall that.
- 1:57:34So sometimes if you put yourself in a memory where you're trying
- 1:57:36to recall something and that's what it was.
- 1:57:39And so I went to the fly zone to try to suspend myself in order
- 1:57:42to recall that memory. So I did jump, Joel.
- 1:57:47OK, I jumped from my life, baby. We'll get ready to jump.
- 1:57:51Again, if nobody. If nobody.
- 1:57:52Comes in that's that's. Usually what we'll do, but.
- 1:57:55Usually, usually we get a really good turn out for, for this and
- 1:58:01you know, we'll, we'll keep going through things.
- 1:58:04We wanted to let you know, we did cancel Buddy Bowl.
- 1:58:08We had to either do Buddy Bowl or the skydiving.
- 1:58:12And we believe we reach more veterans doing the skydiving.
- 1:58:17You know, we, we looked in the emails and stuff, people that we
- 1:58:21had for Buddy Bowl. It was like 15 years ago.
- 1:58:25So you know, they have arthritis by now.
- 1:58:27So we don't have anybody, you know, participants well.
- 1:58:33And I just wanted to tell you, thank you so much for being a
- 1:58:38battle today and, you know, and covering and helping with me
- 1:58:43with the show today because I was a little nervous today, but
- 1:58:48I I think we came out nice to clear.
- 1:58:52And hey, if you guys like it, which from one of the messages
- 1:58:56I'm getting to do, we, we might do this again next Friday.
- 1:59:00There you go, everybody from me to you from me and MJ.
- 1:59:05Have a safe Memorial Day. If you drink, don't drive.
- 1:59:08And if you have kids, don't beat them.
- 1:59:12Don't drink anymore. Yes, baby boy.
- 1:59:14Yeah. So, ladies and gentlemen.
- 1:59:18Once again, here at the Bureau, we're.
- 1:59:20Here for you, not for us. We're giving our veterans a
- 1:59:24voice. Ladies and gentlemen, thank you
- 1:59:29for tuning in to Military Broadcast.
- 1:59:32Radio as. We wrap up today's show.
- 1:59:35We want to remind you that the podcast of today's episode will
- 1:59:40be available right after we go off the air.
- 1:59:43So if you missed any part of the show or want to listen again.
- 1:59:48Be sure to check it out and remember, we're here.
- 1:59:52To support and honor our veterans.
- 1:59:56Your stories and experiences matter, and we are committed to
- 2:00:00giving you a platform to share them.
- 2:00:04That's right. We're here to give our veterans
- 2:00:07a voice, so don't forget to catch the podcast.
- 2:00:10And. Stay connected with us, giving
- 2:00:13our veterans a voice.
