- 0:10Speaker 1: Hello, welcome to the Brain's Body Podcast.
- 0:14Speaker 1: I am Dr Christopher Kevin Slaton, human Learning Consultant with the Progressive Investing Institute of Focused Learning and your host.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Also, the author of Education and Science to Brain's Body, help to improve brain, body and sense events.
- 0:29Speaker 1: This conversation that we're going to have today is about the Brain's Body Learning System.
- 0:37Speaker 1: So, parents, teachers, health and human service professionals, youth, young adults the reason why you want to listen in is because we're talking about messaging, utilizing the brain's neural processing systems.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Okay, because everything you do is decoded or encoded by the brain in the messaging system.
- 1:04Speaker 1: And what I want to be understood is that when you go through those feelings of anxiety, pain, discomfort, there are things that you can do that help you become more informed on how your brain responds.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Because, at the end of the day, what I'm saying to you, you must learn to trust your brain.
- 1:28Speaker 1: So when I'm talking to a parent, I'm talking to a teacher, I'm talking about not you, per say, but your students must learn to trust the flow of your information because it's coming from your brain, and I call that the sense of feel for self, because you understand that you have to deliver the information a certain way, but it's based upon how you send that forward feed.
- 1:55Speaker 1: We're talking about that today, okay?
- 1:58Speaker 1: So let me ask you, what do you do when you feel pain, hurt or uncomfortable?
- 2:08Speaker 1: When you send a message and you can see on a person's face signs of hurt, anxiety, you know, they just seem to be, you know, maybe confused, right?
- 2:23Speaker 1: The purpose of the brain's body is to help you study the circulatory function s of the nervous system.
- 2:32Speaker 1: So all you have to do if you don't have a copy of the book is Google, google, education, science, the brain's body.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Dr Christopher K Slayton should come right up and the cover is what I'm talking about.
- 2:47Speaker 1: What I'm talking about in these sessions is that circulatory system right Of the brain's body and how blood moves through that system.
- 2:59Speaker 1: That I call energy, action and feelings, because feelings are neural signals in the way that I teach it.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Okay.
- 3:09Speaker 1: So what I'm saying to you is that I want to help you understand how blood moves through the veins to transmit messages that have to be interpreted by you and others.
- 3:25Speaker 1: But it's very intricate because it has to move through your sense and receive path functions and that's relying upon the sense of feel for contact and information, because those are process variables that we talk through, that, we move through, that, we live through.
- 3:45Speaker 1: You have to move through contact to live, you have to understand how to interact, to learn through the experience of self, other people and in the environment of nature.
- 3:57Speaker 1: So what we're talking about, right, is sense and receive path functions, but we identify it brain, body and sense events, the human system.
- 4:10Speaker 1: So it's natural learning.
- 4:12Speaker 1: You don't have to go anywhere, you don't have to get no dictionary, you just sit there and understand.
- 4:17Speaker 1: I'm talking about your brain, your body, your senses.
- 4:19Speaker 1: So take a look at yourself.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Take a look at yourself and listen for yourself at the same time.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Here we go Cognitive pain and hurt, when the pain and hurt is what is stopping you.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Pain that moves through your blood vessels.
- 4:33Speaker 2: You can like or dislike through your sense of feel for self.
- 4:36Speaker 2: The issue with the flow of pain is that you must figure out ways to work through it, to gather knowledge of how it affects the sense path, affects the received path or influences the transfer of awareness.
- 4:48Speaker 2: You want to store the capacity and courage to reflect on the experience, to improve how you choose to respond.
- 4:55Speaker 2: When the message between sense and receive path functions are disrupted by feelings of fear, it may be harder for you to gather your sense of feel for the brain and body because fear can produce impulsive reactions.
- 5:07Speaker 2: This is why you want your sense of feel for self and the brain structured around your experience, to learn from self research how the pain feels through your sense of feel for self and the brain connects the scan of the body In this sense.
- 5:23Speaker 2: To be informed means to become more aware through reflection, recall flows from your knowledge base.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Your brain uses blood vessels and nerves.
- 5:33Speaker 2: You read your sense of feel for self, the flow of energy, action and feelings as sense and receive path functions.
- 5:40Speaker 2: The pain is becoming increasingly recognizable in the choice you make to respond.
- 5:45Speaker 2: You are learning the brain's body.
- 5:49Speaker 2: When I am in pain, I do not rely on drugs.
- 5:51Speaker 2: I rely on my sense of feel for self and my brain to be in the lead of my sense path.
- 5:57Speaker 2: When I experience feelings of pain, my ability to recall includes acts to learn from the process.
- 6:03Speaker 2: To scan my body through the way I feel on the inside, I lead my brain through feelings of trust to manage the flow of blood through my veins that I can assess.
- 6:12Speaker 2: My brain talks back through feelings to reflect and respond to my sense of feel for self.
- 6:18Speaker 2: My sense of feel stays connected through the process of focus.
- 6:22Speaker 2: That is what you do when you feel pain or hurt.
- 6:26Speaker 2: You try to focus the way you feel things through brain, body and sense events.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Cognitive pain is what I call neural feelings.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Feelings of pain and hurt are neural signals that move through your sense of feel for self, such as when I say my neck hurts.
- 6:43Speaker 2: This describes my sense of feel for self to reflect from the experience as uncomfortable feelings.
- 6:49Speaker 2: My brain is already involved in the transfer to feelings of thought to respond.
- 6:54Speaker 2: That means the emotion I felt moves through me as an effect or influence of my thought and reflection.
- 7:00Speaker 2: The brain is in the lead of the body through my sense of feel for self.
- 7:05Speaker 2: I have described the brain's body as a learning system that evolves through sense and receive path functions To weaken feelings of pain that I must control.
- 7:15Speaker 2: I chose to believe in the powers of my brain.
- 7:18Speaker 2: I do not ignore the pain.
- 7:20Speaker 2: I act through feelings of my sense and receive path functions to learn ways to respond, change the way you act to move through pain.
- 7:29Speaker 2: You have a pain in your neck.
- 7:30Speaker 2: How does the body inform the brain?
- 7:33Speaker 2: A sense of feel for self is a brain, body and sense of event.
- 7:38Speaker 2: You feel your body, structure feelings of your brain through sense cells.
- 7:42Speaker 2: You sense, feel and gather information about the outer surroundings of the body through a focus on your inner self.
- 7:49Speaker 2: This is the process of using the body to inform the brain.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Hence the biology of a sense of feel for self, the brain and the body.
- 7:59Speaker 2: You confirm that you feel pain through the experience of the body, which can reflect through your sense of feel for self and learn through the study of brain, body and sense events.
- 8:10Speaker 2: The latter I named human systems science, a key role in learning how to live with pain is to acknowledge your sense of feel for self and the brain to keep calm.
- 8:19Speaker 2: You help as you become more informed by your brain.
- 8:23Speaker 2: You collect the natural state of your feelings as they move through the body, stay cool, meaning, as you transfer your sense of feel for self and the brain to feelings of thought and reflection.
- 8:34Speaker 2: The experience of the body and the brain is the cognitive process in learning the brain's body as a sense of feel for self.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Pain hurts it can feel mild, moderate or severe.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Brain, body and sense events transfer feelings of hurt using neural signals that trigger emotion, thought and reflection.
- 8:55Speaker 2: This is why you want your sense of feel for self and the brain to be in the lead of the body Feelings of hurt.
- 9:02Speaker 2: You do not want to feel beaten by feelings of pain that transform the experience of hurt.
- 9:08Speaker 2: As you confirm pain in the body, the brain is figuring out, through your sense of feel for self, how to cool the sense path, calm the received path and collect the experience to reflect.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Even if you have already reacted, the brain responds through the process of releasing forward feed through a sense of feel for self and the body Hence ways to learn, move through your outer self and your inner self.
- 9:31Speaker 2: As you sense, you respond.
- 9:33Speaker 2: As you receive, you respond and as you reflect, you release new energy, action and feelings.
- 9:39Speaker 2: You can feel your brain taking the lead over the body through your sense of feel for self and feelings of focus and control.
- 9:47Speaker 2: You sense to feel to focus.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Focus consists of acts to stay cool.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Control consists of acts to stay calm.
- 9:56Speaker 2: The collection of a sense of feel for self and the brain in the lead of the body forms from the transformation of the brain's body via the study of pain and hurt using brain, body and sense events.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Human systems.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Science this advance using neurophysics.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Signals are process cycles, the social cognitive sense path, the neurotransmitters of the received path and the synthesis of the body and the brain to inform a sense of feel for self.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Pain causes the body to react.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Your sense of feel for self causes the brain to respond through a reflective synthesis.
- 10:33Speaker 2: From each stage of processing you learn to focus and control these events Contact, collect, interact, share, cooperate, process, participate, perform.
- 10:46Speaker 2: In human systems.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Science.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Focus is a product of the brain and control is a signal of the body.
- 10:52Speaker 2: I assess pain and hurt based on my capacity to act through feelings of hurt long enough for me to collect a sense of feel for self that is shared throughout my body.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Each choice to stay cool, calm and collected focus acts to cooperate.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Through these unified experiences that enrich my power to process the way it feels to participate, meaning, I accept the role of being inside my body to learn ways to perform, sense and receive path functions to help manage my emotion, thought and responses.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Brain talk, that's who we're talking from.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Brain talk and what I want to be clear is the most complex thing is not necessarily the brain, but more so talking about the brain.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Because when you talk about the brain, people seem to look at you strangely, but I believe that's because they lack belief in your capacity to utilize the brain to do the things that you mean to do Right.
- 11:59Speaker 1: But that's why I'm talking about focus, because when you focus, the flow of energy, action and feelings, whatever is in your sense to receive path, is being felt and transferred through the study.
- 12:14Speaker 1: So as you study, you have a knowledge base.
- 12:18Speaker 1: It pulls from that knowledge base.
- 12:20Speaker 1: That's what we talk about.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Reflection.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Reflections are pulling force right In that forward feed process cycle, sending new information forward to help you through what you're going through.
- 12:35Speaker 1: So what I'm saying you start talking about the brain, you start learning the brain, and you start learning the brain because you began to realize the powers of the brain that you can understand through the use of the words you use to communicate and express your feelings of how you are being affected in these situations.
- 12:55Speaker 1: So people look at you differently because you're actually talking about intellectual development.
- 13:00Speaker 1: How do you develop discipline, self-control.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Intellectually, it's by focusing your energy so that when you talk you're very specific and detailed about the thing that you are trying to express.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Because they work from the inside out, because you scan feelings of self, the sense of feel right, then you have the emotion and you have thought.
- 13:30Speaker 1: But what helps you through emotion and thought in that sense path is the power to reflect.
- 13:38Speaker 1: When you reflect again, that's the influence of the brain sending that new information, that new feed, so that emotion is being assessed and addressed at the same time.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Because the process cycle is double looped.
- 13:56Speaker 1: It went through process cycle one contact went through process cycle two interaction.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Process cycle three cooperation.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Because you're still participating, some of you.
- 14:08Speaker 1: You're participating moving through the feelings of hurt.
- 14:12Speaker 1: You're participating, moving through the feelings of anxiety, long enough for your knowledge base to kick in.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Now what I'm saying to you is you don't dumb it down.
- 14:24Speaker 1: That's why you don't dumb it down.
- 14:26Speaker 1: You don't ignore what's taking place, because the sacrifice is to understand.
- 14:31Speaker 1: I must learn to trust my brain's ability to process the experience of the environment, self, other people, right, and allow me to begin to respond based on the confluence of this information, because that's what you are information processing system, okay, and in the process you have to have ways of expressing.
- 15:01Speaker 1: That's why it's not a sense of self, it's a sense of field for self.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Because what are you expressing?
- 15:06Speaker 1: Knowledge?
- 15:08Speaker 1: And where is that knowledge coming from?
- 15:10Speaker 1: The processing of the experience of self, of the people and the environment.
- 15:15Speaker 1: See, it's structured and the brain organizes that Right.
- 15:19Speaker 1: So if you go to literature, if you talk about the environment, okay, we understand what the environment is.
- 15:24Speaker 1: But when I'm talking to a kid, the environment is very simple You're home, you're school, you're neighborhood.
- 15:30Speaker 1: It's easier for them to move through contact, interaction.
- 15:33Speaker 1: When I'm talking to an adult, it's family, education, government and business systems, because it's easier for them to move through those events and then understand how to formally address their labor needs.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Okay, okay.
- 15:50Speaker 1: So what I'm trying to understand is the brain's body learning system.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Right, it's what I've been talking through.
- 15:55Speaker 1: And so we turn the corner.
- 15:57Speaker 1: But in order to turn the corner, what I'm trying to just get us to realize is you have to make a choice.
- 16:04Speaker 1: You either believe in the brain or you continue to follow the body.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Because if you follow the body, you're in the behavior plan.
- 16:12Speaker 1: That means everything is done for you.
- 16:14Speaker 1: All you got to do is go into the workplace and do what they tell you to do.
- 16:19Speaker 1: By the 21st century, nothing is normal and nothing is predictable.
- 16:25Speaker 1: And you have to have the entrepreneurial instincts evolving inside of you and that's your sense of feel for self-freed but yet controlled, because it's focused energy, action and feelings so that you can now investigate opportunities based on the development of intellect.
- 16:46Speaker 1: The development of intellect as discipline to inform the brain and your feedback cycles, understanding what your brain, body and senses are doing as information moving through you.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Okay.
- 16:59Speaker 1: And so what I'm saying to you is that in the 21st century, you must learn how to live with yourself in a competitive environment that's always going to have triggers in it that you vote negative feelings, that you got to constantly move through because it's just that competitive and there are not that many real opportunities for you to evolve into what you're really becoming.
- 17:30Speaker 1: And this is what I'm really talking about navigating the human system, okay, through a science that allows you to just be you, because it comes from human science, working with other human beings and observe what they do.
- 17:47Speaker 1: And now I'm talking to you.
- 17:48Speaker 1: I'm going to close where I started.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Look at your brain, your body and your senses?
- 17:52Speaker 1: Did it receive the message or are you fighting the message?
- 17:56Speaker 1: Are you trying to dumby down, ignore the message because of what you don't want to do the work.
- 18:01Speaker 1: You don't want to change, you don't want to beat change.
- 18:03Speaker 1: But you see, what I'm saying to you is that's the entrepreneur.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Entrepreneurs have to change because they got to develop new products and the product they developed yesterday they have to quickly realize oh, but someone else is already trying to duplicate what I just did.
- 18:20Speaker 1: And that's the process variable.
- 18:22Speaker 1: You process what you're doing through the experience of self, and then the brain does the next step, because, as you're sleeping, the brain's working.
- 18:30Speaker 1: This has been Dr Slating Live.
- 18:32Speaker 1: I hope you understand the story.
- 18:34Speaker 1: I hope you come back, I hope you stick it out, because we're talking about self development, human improvement, right, and then we're talking about understanding how to live inside your own body, the brain's body, by the way, the brain's body.
- 18:50Speaker 1: This is Dr Slating tuning out, tuning out, tuning out.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Dr Slating Live, thank you.
