An Idaho-based veterinary drug distributor, MWI Veterinary Supply, is settling with federal authorities after allegedly failing to flag suspicious oxycodone orders sent to Dr. Clara Ann Mason—a vet in Putnam County who was receiving massive quantities of controlled substances. Despite MWI’s own system flagging one 1,300-pill order in September 2022, it was dismissed the next day, and nine more large orders followed without any follow-up.
