- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by the hypnotherapist, demanded by
- 0:16celebrities, CEOs and even royalty, Adam Cox.
- 0:20These recordings took place live from Evans Clinic in London's
- 0:24world famous Harley Street, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:39Hi, it's Adam here. Now.
- 0:41I'm hoping if you are listening to this that you are a an
- 0:46entrepreneur, a business person. The reason being is that I think
- 0:51business people and entrepreneurs are going to get a
- 0:53lot more value from this than perhaps people that aren't in
- 0:57business. Now.
- 0:58Some of the elements would still work if you are in a career and
- 1:04you want to get to the next level in your career, but it
- 1:06would be more beneficial for people that run their own
- 1:09business. And that's because the client
- 1:11that I was working with was a very successful business leader
- 1:15that they had, without going to university and without having
- 1:20that kind of formal education, built a very successful
- 1:23business. It was #1 in their market.
- 1:26I was aware of their market because I have a business in the
- 1:30same kind of sector. And I know how difficult it
- 1:34would have been for them to have created that level of success
- 1:39that they had. But they felt still riddled with
- 1:42unworthy nurse insecurities because some of the people they
- 1:45were hiring were more educated than they were, and they were
- 1:50looking at what they'd built as somehow either luck or and they
- 1:55could lose it all. That classic imposter syndrome
- 1:58without realizing that actually their background enabled them to
- 2:03have that level of mental fortitude and risk taking
- 2:07ability and to some extent defiance.
- 2:11I think I can relate to a a feeling that when I was early in
- 2:17my career, I actually was. Fuelled by people.
- 2:21Doubting me, people thinking that I wouldn't be very capable
- 2:25or competent. It was like lighting a fire
- 2:28under me. And then it made me very
- 2:30motivated and I could recognize these qualities in this
- 2:33particular client and that was enough to get them to a a very
- 2:39successful level, but they didn't feel that it was the
- 2:44right qualities to get them to the next level.
- 2:46So this hypnosis session uses an element of a metaphor of a relay
- 2:51race, but actually. Who they were?
- 2:54They can be very grateful to get them that far, but now it's
- 2:58about the next phase and in order for them to be that
- 3:01person, they don't need all of the insecurities and anxiety
- 3:06that may have. Positively fueled.
- 3:08Them in the past, they don't need that in the future because
- 3:11actually they were in a very stable, secure position.
- 3:17They didn't want to get complacent, but they did want to
- 3:20grow, but have more feelings of balance and equilibrium in
- 3:26business, but also their family life.
- 3:29So I think entrepreneurs will be able to relate to that because
- 3:32sometimes you are firefighting, you are spinning lots of
- 3:34different plates at the same time, and it's a gladiatorial
- 3:39environment. Most entrepreneurs don't make it
- 3:42past a few years. So those that do are clearly
- 3:46very capable, competent people. Now there are certain
- 3:50suggestions here that relate to parenthood, that relate to
- 3:54certain qualities or unresourceful states that the
- 3:59client had that you might not be able to relate to.
- 4:01So just ignore any suggestions that aren't quite right, but
- 4:05lean into the ones that are helpful and useful.
- 4:07Because mainly it's about thinking of what version of you
- 4:11do you now need to be to take your business and your.
- 4:14Life. To the next level.
- 4:16So if that appeals then you're going to get some value from
- 4:18this session. And if you do like the idea of
- 4:21working with me directly, there will be a link in the
- 4:23description where you can book a completely free consultation
- 4:26call. We'll have a chat and who knows,
- 4:28I might end up being your hypnotherapist.
- 4:30For now, though, find a quiet, comfortable place where you
- 4:33won't be. Disturbed.
- 4:34Relax. And enjoy the session.
- 4:50Take a deep breath in and as you breathe in, breathe in.
- 4:59Then slowly relaxing breath, and as you exhale just get a sense
- 5:09of any tension leaving your body as you exhale.
- 5:18Breathing in, relaxation, exhaling tension.
- 5:23And notice with your eyes closed how much easier it is to just
- 5:30focus on the sound of my voice. And when you breathe in, breathe
- 5:39in deeper and longer. And as you exhale, just allow
- 5:49that outward breath to keep on elongating, continuing to
- 5:57breathe out. And the more you breathe out,
- 6:03the more tension is being released.
- 6:07And the more tension is being released, the more relaxed you
- 6:10can take, the next inward breath that's in, just releasing any
- 6:20tension around the neck, the shoulders, around the jaw, just
- 6:26releasing that. Now, the deeper you breathe, the
- 6:31more relaxed you become. And the more relaxed you become,
- 6:36the deeper you breathe. And as your body relaxes, your
- 6:42imagination awakens. And I want you to think, think
- 6:49of scrolling through photos on your phone of a place in Italy,
- 6:58a place with a pool, a brick wall, sunshine and sun lounges.
- 7:11And that's you're scrolling through those photos.
- 7:18I want a memory to come up, maybe recently, maybe for many
- 7:25years ago of a time. You will buy that pool feeling
- 7:33deeply relaxed, in a good place as you consider this your happy
- 7:42place. When you find that memory, that
- 7:46image, imagine what it would feel like to float into the
- 7:51phone, into the image, and then be there, there by that pool
- 8:01under the Italian blue skies. And I want you to imagine what
- 8:09it would feel like to be on that lounger.
- 8:16Imagine the smell of suntan lotion, the feeling of the sun
- 8:23on your skin. And maybe you can see the sun
- 8:28shimmering off the surface of that deep blue water.
- 8:35And maybe there's a gentle breeze, or perhaps the slight
- 8:40scent of nearby flowers. But as you allow yourself to
- 8:46imagine being on that sun lounger by that pool, I want you
- 8:51to imagine how you would feel with your eyes closed there by
- 8:57that pool, feeling like you deserve this feeling.
- 9:05You've earned this feeling. And notice when you feel like
- 9:10that, it's easier to breathe deeper and exhale for longer.
- 9:19And I wonder if you could imagine thinking of if
- 9:23worthiness had a colour. What?
- 9:27Colour it would. Be and just imagine seeing a
- 9:35bright intense version of that colour, almost like light.
- 9:42And just imagine breathing in pure distilled worthiness.
- 9:50And as you exhale any insecurities, any feelings of
- 9:58not being enough, not deserving, just allow that to leave your
- 10:04body like a dark grey shadow, breathing in worthiness and
- 10:12exhaling the insecurities. And very soon I will count
- 10:17downwards from 5:00 to 1:00 as you imagine being on that
- 10:24lounger there by the pool under the sun, feeling calm, relaxed,
- 10:32confident and just feel even more worthy with every breath
- 10:40and releasing any historical insecurities.
- 10:47Any idea is that because you didn't do one thing, somehow it
- 10:51makes you less worthy, starts to leave your body and the opposite
- 10:59idea goes into your head. Some of the greatest
- 11:06entrepreneurs on the planet never went to university.
- 11:13They rejected that because they had things to do and businesses
- 11:18to build. And I want you to consider,
- 11:23consider that your past facilitated all of your
- 11:30accomplishments. It didn't hold you back.
- 11:35It moved you forward. So as I countdown from 5 to 1,
- 11:42breathe in that feeling of worthiness, of feeling
- 11:46deserving, and just feel like you're drifting off into a
- 11:51dream. Like sleep 5, all the muscles in
- 11:59your face start to relax. Four, that relaxation spreads.
- 12:05Now down deeper down into your neck and shoulders and then arms
- 12:13and then three, feel your lungs relaxing, your stomach relaxing.
- 12:20In fact all of your internal organs relax.
- 12:25Feel that looseness, that relaxation.
- 12:27And two, fully going down into the gut, because if the neck and
- 12:33shoulders is often where stress is kept, then the gut is
- 12:40sometimes where insecurities and anxieties are kept and feel them
- 12:46melting away and again leaving your body as that grey shadow.
- 12:55And then down to goes to 1 as you feel that relaxation going
- 12:59into your legs. And is it goes all the way down
- 13:04to the tips of your toes. Feel it rippling back up to the
- 13:07top of your head and then down to your fingertips as you feel
- 13:11like you're drifting off into a dreamlike sleep.
- 13:15There by that pool, there under the sun, feeling more and more
- 13:25relaxed. And as you settle into this
- 13:29calmness, allow yourself to reflect on the many qualities
- 13:37that brought you to this place. You may get flashbacks of
- 13:43resourcefulness, creativity, determination, perhaps even
- 13:52defiance, a willingness and eagerness to prove doubters
- 13:57wrong. And consider these qualities not
- 14:03just ideas, but things that have been tested, refined, and
- 14:09strengthened. In fact, all of your
- 14:12achievements, whether in your business or in your family,
- 14:18whether large or small, become like markers along the path of
- 14:26your life. And each of them, without
- 14:32question, is irrefutable evidence that.
- 14:38You are capable. That you are resilient, that you
- 14:45have that mental fortitude, that psychological strength.
- 14:54Allow memories of these milestones, these markers, to
- 14:59float in and out of your imagination.
- 15:04And as they do, take a moment to feel gratitude now for
- 15:14everything from your past that led to the things that you now
- 15:20value. For the courage, the
- 15:25persistence, in fact all of the qualities that built your
- 15:32foundation. And you can acknowledge them
- 15:37fully while also knowing they are not the end, but the
- 15:45beginning. And as you feel that gratitude
- 15:53expanded, amplify it. Notice where it feels in your
- 15:57body, maybe your chest, maybe your head.
- 16:06And you may notice that at times, dissatisfaction has
- 16:13driven you forward. That feeling that things aren't
- 16:18quite right has acted like fuel, a spark that created motion.
- 16:28But I wonder if you could consider a new idea, perhaps
- 16:32even a truth. What if dissatisfaction isn't
- 16:38the only way? What if gratitude and growth can
- 16:45become an even more powerful motivator?
- 16:52The sense of pride in what you've built can energize you.
- 16:58The knowledge of what you've already overcome can strengthen
- 17:04you. And from that Bank of
- 17:08accomplishments, you can build even more, bigger, further, with
- 17:19calmness, confidence and appreciation as you continue in
- 17:29this dream like sleep. I want you to imagine an Olympic
- 17:35Stadium with a large athletics track.
- 17:43And I wonder if you could imagine yourself there on that
- 17:48track, you're feeling like you've just completed perhaps
- 17:55400 meters of a relay race, your heart beating, breath steady,
- 18:05and in your hand is the baton. And I want you to think that
- 18:13this relay race isn't 400 meters, but many years and who
- 18:22you needed to be to start this race and to get as far as you've
- 18:30got to become a leader, a pioneer, a disruptor.
- 18:40All of those qualities were useful and helpful to get this
- 18:47far, but I want you to imagine seeing someone that looks like
- 18:54you but evolved just in front. And this version of you is the
- 19:05version of you to pass the baton to.
- 19:12But first, let's be grateful for being the version of you you
- 19:17needed to get this far. To overcome challenges, to take
- 19:24risks, to survive setbacks, to fight, to push, to persist.
- 19:36And you feel huge gratitude for them because without them, you
- 19:42wouldn't be here. They did their job.
- 19:48They carried the baton this far. But as you look forward, I want
- 19:56you to look at that future version of you.
- 20:02There is something different about your facial expression,
- 20:07your posture, perhaps even the clothes that you're wearing and
- 20:12your mannerisms. As you assess that that future
- 20:17version of you is somehow not burdened by insecurities, not
- 20:24weighed down by anxieties, somehow lighter, calmer, wiser.
- 20:35And as you imagine passing the baton to them, switch
- 20:41perspectives and feel how it would feel to receive the baton
- 20:47as you look back. That was the old version of you.
- 20:54And I want you to feel that this version of you moves with ease,
- 21:01with confidence, with gratitude. People that accomplish a lot
- 21:12often say that they are standing on the shoulders of giants, and
- 21:19I want you to feel that this next evolution of you is
- 21:25standing on the giant of your past.
- 21:30You can take it from here only because they've got you this
- 21:35far, because this new version of you builds on what you've done.
- 21:44But what if this version doesn't need the same frustrations?
- 21:51What if this version of you is inspired by balance, growth,
- 21:58enthusiasm, and strategy? The time of being anxious to
- 22:09keep you alert, of being defiant to keep you motivated.
- 22:17Consider that the old version of you and this new version of you
- 22:26can feel more at ease, more aligned.
- 22:36And I want you to imagine as you run with that baton feel that
- 22:41you can run faster because you're no longer attached to the
- 22:46baggage of these historical insecurities.
- 22:52Your past is evidence of your capabilities and now you are
- 23:00inspired by a vision of the future, not to prove anyone
- 23:06wrong, but now just to continue growing to be the version of you
- 23:16you were always meant to be. I want you to think of a company
- 23:24that you admire, perhaps a global company, and I want you
- 23:31to think that the leader of that business now was not who they
- 23:38used to be. And maybe an image comes into
- 23:44your mind, someone that was very different when they started, but
- 23:56now has a different composure, a different energy, a different
- 24:04vibe. And allow that to be evidence
- 24:09that evolution isn't just nice, it's necessary.
- 24:19You're meant to change as your life changes.
- 24:27And I want you to imagine, to allow that version of you to
- 24:31keep running around the track, but allow a different part to
- 24:35become the observer in the stadium stands.
- 24:40But instead of you seeing yourself running around a track,
- 24:46I want you to imagine a huge 3 dimensional hologram there in
- 24:50the middle of that stadium seeing your future.
- 24:57I want you to imagine yourself growing and taking your business
- 25:02to the next level. And I want you to see you doing
- 25:07that without needing the same level of stress and insecurities
- 25:13of your past. See yourself more fluid, more
- 25:22free. See yourself smiling more, even
- 25:27in business, excited more. But also see what you're like in
- 25:35your home. See yourself as an aspirational
- 25:43parent, see yourself connecting with your family at a deeper
- 25:50level, and see yourself with the ability to compartmentalize that
- 26:00who you are when you're working doesn't need to be the same
- 26:04version of you when it's all about your family.
- 26:12And if this future version of you seems more desirable,
- 26:18useful, and would add to the quality of your life, just let
- 26:22me know by nodding your head. And you can allow this hologram
- 26:35to evolve and change, because you're the observer, you're the
- 26:42director. If it isn't quite right, imagine
- 26:50rewinding it, refining it as you consider this.
- 26:58Like Goldilocks, If the future you're seeing isn't quite right,
- 27:07keep changing it until it feels that it gives you everything
- 27:15you're looking for. Motivation, connection, a
- 27:22feeling that you're moving in the right direction.
- 27:30And you can test drive this. If there's a moment you're not
- 27:34sure about, float from the stands into the hologram and
- 27:41test it out like you're trying on new clothes in a changing
- 27:46room. Feel what it would feel like,
- 27:52perhaps, to wake up with less stress, to take a risk with just
- 27:59as much diligence but less anxiety.
- 28:03And perhaps you can see that future version of you with much
- 28:12higher revenue, but also a much closer bond.
- 28:19You see yourself as the kind of person you want to be and
- 28:30consider this planting seeds of ideas deep in your subconscious
- 28:33mind that are already taking root.
- 28:39And over the next few hours, days, and perhaps even weeks,
- 28:44don't be surprised if new ideas, new boundaries, or new ways of
- 28:52doing things intuitively come to mind.
- 28:58Because evolution is not immediate.
- 29:03It's a slow transition from one version of you to the next, a
- 29:10metamorphosis. The Caterpillar doesn't become
- 29:17the butterfly instantly, and I want you to feel that you are in
- 29:24this metamorphosis, which may take days or weeks.
- 29:33But part of this process is becoming discerning and noticing
- 29:41which parts of you you want to leave behind and which parts you
- 29:47want to embrace on the next leg of this relay race, knowing that
- 29:56at some point in the future, perhaps years from now, it may
- 30:03be useful to evolve yet again. But for now, you've planted the
- 30:12seeds of this new transformation.
- 30:18That's it. And imagine floating back from
- 30:22that Olympic Stadium to a sun lounger by a pool and feel like
- 30:34you're back in that version of you.
- 30:36Feeling good, feeling rested, rejuvenated and recharged.
- 30:44But also realizing this is just a thought within a thought, an
- 30:49idea within an idea, and a dream within a dream.
- 30:54And it's now time to return to your present.
- 30:56But what will awaken is a version of you more closely
- 31:04aligned to your future than your past.
- 31:08So take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your
- 31:13nose. Just wiggle your fingers and
- 31:16wiggle your toes. Connect and calibrate into the
- 31:19here and the now as I now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken
- 31:25you. Starting to count 123 Waking up
- 31:32456 More alert 7-8 Open your eyes 910 Wide awake, Wide awake.
- 31:42Wide awake. Thank you so much for joining me
- 31:49on today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 31:52And if you've enjoyed this show or got some benefit from it, you
- 31:57may know of one other friend or family member that may also
- 32:02benefit from this hypnosis session.
- 32:05In which case, I'd like to ask a favor of you, and that is if you
- 32:09could spend 10 seconds to share. This episode with.
- 32:13Someone that you know that may also benefit that would really
- 32:16help me to access new people that don't already know about
- 32:21this show. You very much for listening and
- 32:24I will see you again on the next episode.
