Transcript
- 0:00Hour number two, Miller and Condon, welcome back Iowa Sports
- 0:02Radio Network wherever you're listening.
- 0:04Grateful that you are. Trent and I have another hour at
- 0:07the top of the hour off the bench on Roberts, Lucas Strain 2
- 0:11until 5 overtime Iowa from 5:00 until 6.
- 0:13Dalton Wasserman NFL analyst coming up here in no about 25
- 0:19minutes. Look forward to catching up with
- 0:21Dalton as we start to familiarize ourself with the NFL
- 0:25Draft that takes place round one, three weeks from today.
- 0:29Pittsburgh, right? Pittsburgh it is it.
- 0:32Is, Yeah. And all of our draft
- 0:33conversation once again brought to you by Graphite Construction
- 0:36Group. Russ is heading out there and we
- 0:39will see Russ. Tuesday we're going to see.
- 0:44Will you see him? Yes, Yes, we will.
- 0:45We will have our mock draft as we've done now for the last half
- 0:48decade. Had a really good time doing
- 0:50that. It was us three that made the
- 0:52picks a year ago and we're going to go right back to the well
- 0:54with that. Again, thought that worked out
- 0:55incredibly well. Graphite Construction Group and
- 0:58a big thanks to Russ. And he will be then a day later
- 1:01in Pittsburgh, and they'll see him on TV.
- 1:03In the chief section when they make their pick, right?
- 1:05Yep. Good stuff.
- 1:06Our let's get to carriemillerbleacherreport.com.
- 1:09We continue to talk Final four with with our audience.
- 1:14And now Carrie Miller joins us. Carrie, I have no idea.
- 1:16I'll just start with that. I can't wait to see how it
- 1:19unfolds. Obviously, Michigan, Arizona
- 1:22just feels like it's that might be the two best teams.
- 1:26But saying that I Uconn's been unbelievable.
- 1:29Illinois, they're they're committed to playing on the
- 1:31defensive end of the floor. That's changed the makeup of
- 1:34their team. I can't wait.
- 1:36Kerry, do you is this is maybe in the dark as you've been a
- 1:40couple of days out from the Final Four, as you've been since
- 1:43you've been covering college basketball, or do you think
- 1:46you've got it figured out? I mean, I think last year was
- 1:51tougher with all four ones getting in.
- 1:53We didn't really have any clue who out of, you know, Duke,
- 1:56Auburn, Houston or Florida was going to win it all.
- 2:00This year, like you said, it does kind of feel like Michigan,
- 2:03Arizona is the, you know, the the prize fight and Yukon,
- 2:08Illinois is more of an undercard event.
- 2:10We'll, we'll see if, you know, the right side of the bracket
- 2:13ultimately produces the champion or not.
- 2:15But before the tournament even started, Arizona was my pick.
- 2:19I was pretty confident in them. I know Michigan has looked
- 2:22ridiculously good. You know, I'd kind of lost a
- 2:27little bit of faith in the Wolverines as they kind of
- 2:30struggled to score towards the end of the regular season.
- 2:33But that has changed completely. They're having no problem
- 2:36scoring anymore. And if they're hitting threes
- 2:38like they have been thus far, I don't know if Arizona is as good
- 2:42as Arizona is. I don't even know if they can
- 2:44keep pace with peak Michigan, if you will.
- 2:49Peak Michigan and peak Arizona, both those teams are great.
- 2:52Is there anything that you point to in that game?
- 2:54But it's definitely the headliner, no doubt.
- 2:56That's the reason that got the late window because he got two
- 2:59number ones, two teams that metrically rate as good as we've
- 3:02seen in college basketball in a number of years.
- 3:05Is there anything that you say this is going to be the
- 3:07difference? This is the reason I like one
- 3:09side or the other because they're built so similarly.
- 3:12They got NBA guys, they got pros, they got size.
- 3:16Is there anything that you look at, Carrie?
- 3:18I think I just trust Arizona's backcourt, you know, the the
- 3:23bigs are going to in theory play to a draw.
- 3:27You know, Coapete prevos and you know, Tobo waka when he's in
- 3:34there, he's ridiculously good. Karchenkov has been, I feel like
- 3:38really under the underappreciated nationally just
- 3:41for as good of a freshman as he's been.
- 3:43Like we focus so much on Pete and Buries, but Karchenkov was
- 3:46awesome in that lead 8 game for them.
- 3:50So I feel like those guys can go toe to toe with Linda Borg,
- 3:54Morris Johnson and Die Mara, but I'd rather have Bradley and
- 3:58Buries then Elliot Kiddo and, you know, Trey Mckenney or Roddy
- 4:02Gale or, you know, whoever's in there for them to marry Burnett.
- 4:05But we'll see because that's how I felt before the tournament.
- 4:10That's how I felt kind of during the regular season with Kiddo,
- 4:13who, you know, he's been for three years now, a very Jekyll
- 4:18and Hyde type of point guard. If the Kiddo who dominated three
- 4:23of the first four games of this tournament shows up, Michigan
- 4:26wins. If the kiddo who completely
- 4:28vanished in that game against Duke back in February, if the
- 4:32kiddo who really struggled early in the year before Michigan
- 4:36really turned it on, if that guy shows up, Arizona wins, possibly
- 4:39in a landslide. So I think he's the, he's the
- 4:42real X Factor in this game. And I I trust Bradley more than
- 4:45I trust Kiddo. Yeah, it's a good way of looking
- 4:47at it. Guys really impressed me from
- 4:49Michigan. And maybe it's just because I
- 4:50focus when I watched him so much on Lend a Board because he's
- 4:53he's hard not to, he's hard to miss, right?
- 4:55He does everything. I think Mars had a hell of a
- 4:57tournament. He was in foul trouble in that
- 4:59Tennessee game, which clearly limited his minutes.
- 5:02I really think he's playing his best basketball in his Michigan
- 5:06career. How about that?
- 5:08Yeah, I mean, he's been pretty incredible.
- 5:11I do think it's fun that, you know, if if Michigan wins,
- 5:15either it's Harris, Reid, Michigan's former big man going
- 5:19up against Michigan, or it's more as Johnson going up against
- 5:22Illinois, where he originally started out.
- 5:24So, you know, we'll see if the Wolverines cooperate and give us
- 5:27one of those, you know, former player versus former team type
- 5:30of matchups. But yeah, Johnson's been, you
- 5:34know, similar to what I was saying about Karchenkov, like we
- 5:36kind of fixate on two or three guys and then you have that
- 5:39underrated guy who ends up, you know, really being phenomenal,
- 5:43but just doesn't get as much national attention.
- 5:45I mean, he's not as much of an offensive player.
- 5:47He's really more of an offensive rebounder and just a just a
- 5:50tough guy who's kind of at the, you know, the forefront of their
- 5:53interior defense. So that doesn't get as much, you
- 5:56know, radio talk time as a guy like Linda Borg or or a 7 foot 3
- 6:02Mara running the court for reverse alley, you put it layup
- 6:06or whatever the heck that was. But yeah, Johnson could be, you
- 6:09know, a real key in this game, especially if he's able to, to
- 6:11really limit what Karchenkov can do for Arizona.
- 6:14We'll get to Illinois Yukon here in a moment, Carrie.
- 6:17But before we get to the Yukon part of it, going back to the
- 6:19Duke side 40 years now, John Shire, one Final Four
- 6:23appearance, 2 losses in the Elite 8 and a second round exit
- 6:26back in this first season. A lot of talents gone through
- 6:28there, but a lot of young talent.
- 6:30What are your thoughts overall just about Shire and Duke?
- 6:33Obviously a program that is either beloved or hatred and not
- 6:36a whole lot of in between. What do you think of Shire and
- 6:38the Dukies going forward? Yeah, I think he's he's done a
- 6:42phenomenal job there. Just happens to crash out in
- 6:45spectacular fashion in the tournament.
- 6:47So we have questioned, you know, whether he's seen a lot of
- 6:50people saying he's a choke artist and all this stuff.
- 6:52But boy, he took that job at Duke the year after Hubert Davis
- 6:56got it at North Carolina. I don't think there's any
- 6:58question who was successful in their first four years.
- 7:01But yeah, it's between between the way they lost to Houston in
- 7:06the Final Four last year and then that lost to Connecticut on
- 7:09Sunday, It's been pretty wild to see how how tough it is for them
- 7:14to hang on to a big lead. Although I forget when it was
- 7:18that he said earlier this season somebody asked him about those
- 7:21blown leads. Like, well, how do you want to
- 7:23lose? Like, would you rather at least
- 7:25enjoy the ride or just get blown out from the gate?
- 7:28Like, at least at least we, you know, fight hard for 35 minutes,
- 7:32maybe we'll finish the fight. But yeah, that I, I think he's,
- 7:36you know, the guy for the job. I'd be shocked if he's going
- 7:39anywhere anytime soon. Interesting way of looking at it
- 7:41Is it really is Carrie Miller, Bleacher Report is joining us.
- 7:45Well, since you open up the North Carolina door before we
- 7:47get to Arizona and Illinois, who's getting that job, Carrie?
- 7:51Does it seem like it's Tommy Lloyd is just waiting till this
- 7:54is over? Does it seem like the Bulls are
- 7:57waiting for their season to come to an end?
- 7:59And before we hear what, how, who's going to get the North
- 8:02Carolina job? I have no idea.
- 8:06I know obviously they're kind of open for one of those, either
- 8:11Dusty May or Tommy Lloyd or Billy Donovan, all of whom we
- 8:15have some contractual obligations for another few days
- 8:18at least. And then then we'll see.
- 8:19I mean, obviously they didn't have anything lined up from the
- 8:22moment they fired Hubert Davis or we would have already heard
- 8:26what where they're going because there's no sense in waiting with
- 8:29the portal already not officially open.
- 8:32But it's definitely, you know, kind of like the Costco
- 8:35executive membership. And a lot of people have the
- 8:37early entry and they're getting those conversations started for
- 8:41sure. So yeah, I think it's, they're
- 8:45certainly hoping it's one of those 3, but I have no idea what
- 8:49they're going to end up getting. We're talking about coaching
- 8:51Will Wade makes his way back to LSU.
- 8:54I mean, you got 2 slimeballs now on the sidelines for your two
- 8:57most important sports with men's basketball and on the football
- 8:59side of things with Lane Kiffin. Yet there was a little clip in
- 9:03there that I maybe soften my hatred of Will Wade and he said
- 9:09we're coming back to try to hang a banner and win a national
- 9:11championship or I'm going to be the first coach fired from the
- 9:13same school twice. A little bit of, I guess levity
- 9:16and and understanding that we all know it's weird, but at
- 9:19least I enjoyed that part of the press conference, even as bad of
- 9:23a slime ball as he seems to be. Yeah, there no shortage of
- 9:29villainy in LSU, which I appreciate because I feel like
- 9:33with the the portal and NIL and everybody going, you know, one
- 9:35and done and what not, we don't. It's been a while since we had a
- 9:38proper villain in college basketball.
- 9:40Like we always go back to like Grayson Allen.
- 9:42That was like 10 years ago at this point or or Marshall
- 9:45Henderson at Ole Miss and that even that 11215 years ago.
- 9:49So if it's Will Wade, great. I don't know if LSU basketball
- 9:53is big enough for him to become that guy, but maybe he he gets
- 9:57them there. But certainly no, no shortage
- 10:01of, you know things to watch when it comes to Will Wade over
- 10:06the last five years. Henderson and Allen have both
- 10:08been gone for over a decade. That's crazy.
- 10:11Seems like I'm always, it's really every year.
- 10:14I'm like, all right, who's going to be the Kemba Walker this
- 10:16year? Like, Oh my God, that was 15
- 10:18years ago. Holy cow.
- 10:20Absolutely incredible. Well, let's get to the early
- 10:21game. It's Illinois.
- 10:23I love the fact that they're seemingly committed to the
- 10:25defensive end of the floor. We know what they can do
- 10:28offensively. Saw it all year in the Big 10
- 10:30and and then here comes a UConn team that had one of the
- 10:34shocking moments of March Madness of all time March
- 10:37Madness with the the way they dispatched Duke.
- 10:40How do you see this game, Kerry? Yeah, I'll be curious to see if
- 10:44Illinois is able to continue playing that defense because I
- 10:47don't know if they've actually all of a sudden figured things
- 10:50out after giving up. I think it was 84 points in five
- 10:53of their last nine games. Now all of a sudden they've held
- 10:56three straight teams below 60. So I don't know, something
- 11:00clicked for them on that end or if it's just the fact that they
- 11:03ran into VCU and their starting point guard got hurt, I mean,
- 11:06into the game. And then they played Houston and
- 11:08Iowa, who are two lower paced, not exactly trying to score 80
- 11:12points in a game type of team. So we'll see what connect.
- 11:14And Connecticut's not a, you know, high octane team either.
- 11:18So I think this could play into Illinois wheelhouse, but I also
- 11:22think the way that Illinois plays is good for Connecticut,
- 11:26who if they when they struggle, they struggle with committing
- 11:29too many fouls and committing too many turnovers and Illinois
- 11:32forces turnovers at the lowest rate in the entire country.
- 11:35They don't really play that physical brand of basketball
- 11:38that's, you know, going to bother Connecticut or their
- 11:41their head coach and their foul trouble and all that.
- 11:43So I think it could end up being a beneficial game for
- 11:46Connecticut. I think the Huskies pull off the
- 11:49slight upset. UConn in that one and it would
- 11:53pick up their second win against Illinois.
- 11:55They played back in MSG back in late November.
- 11:58That was a game where Wagler played 14 minutes.
- 12:01Boswell took a three pointers. I think we all know there's not
- 12:03a game in the world the Boswell should be shooting. 3 pointers
- 12:06in Illinois is different. Can you take anything away,
- 12:09anything you glean out of that first match up though?
- 12:12I don't think so. Same with if they were to run
- 12:15into Arizona in the championship.
- 12:17They played back in November as well.
- 12:19And I think Brayden Buries was like early, early season Brayden
- 12:24Buries was nothing compared to what he is now.
- 12:26And, you know, Connecticut didn't have Terrace Reed or
- 12:28Braylon Mullins for that game. So, you know, trying to look
- 12:31back to things that happened five months ago just kind of
- 12:34seems pointless. Even looking back at what these
- 12:37teams look like a couple weeks ago, almost feels pointless at
- 12:40this point. But yeah, I think certainly
- 12:42Waggler is a completely different animal than what he
- 12:45was in November. And, and he could absolutely be
- 12:47the driving force that that wins them that game, especially if
- 12:50Connecticut is shooting like they did, starting one for 18
- 12:54from 3 point range against Duke before finally finding the mark
- 12:56down the stretch. Alex Caraban Now let's say it
- 12:59doesn't end in a national championship, but lose here to
- 13:02Illinois, lose in the championship, whatever it is. 2
- 13:05titles his first two years stuck around for all four years.
- 13:07When you're talking about Alzheimer's guys that and he
- 13:11would have had an opportunity at the next level.
- 13:13But in today's environment, in the NIL, you want a two way deal
- 13:15or stick around at UConn and make some pretty good money for
- 13:18another season. Certainly changed the equation
- 13:20on that. How are we going to remember him
- 13:22as a player and just a part of this Hurley era now with UConn?
- 13:26Yeah, he's, I mean, I don't think he's in the, you know,
- 13:30lineage of a Christian Leitner, but kind of a modern day
- 13:35Christian Leitner. Because I would, I forget what
- 13:37the total number was. I remember they were talking
- 13:40about it back during like conference championship week
- 13:42that there were only like 20 players among the high majors
- 13:46who actually stayed at their school all four years.
- 13:49It was like, you know, Bruce Thornton at Ohio State, the the
- 13:52trio at Purdue and obviously Damon Lipsy and at Connecticut.
- 13:57Who's that? Damon Lipsy, Iowa State.
- 14:00Yeah, let's see as well. Yeah, they're only a handful
- 14:03anymore. So if you have one who's won,
- 14:06you know, two titles and you know, obviously is is here in a
- 14:09third Final Four. I mean, in that regard, it is
- 14:11kind of like a a modern Leitner situation.
- 14:14I think if they do win, if they win both games this weekend, I
- 14:18think he would be second only to Leitner in career NCAA
- 14:23Tournament wins as a starter. That's a that's a hell of a
- 14:27statistic, no doubt. Carrie Miller, Bleacher Report.
- 14:29Carrie, thanks for what you do for us.
- 14:31Appreciate it. Carrie Miller, enjoy Saturday.
- 14:33I know you will. Thank you.
- 14:35You got it. Take care, guys.
- 14:36Yeah. Good to talk to you, Carrie
- 14:37Miller, Bleacher Report. That's quite a quite a statue.
- 14:40Yes. Leightner's a buzzer beaten that
- 14:43never be as good as Yukon Duke was.
- 14:46It'll never be beaten, will it? It never is a long time, but my
- 14:49God. Well, it wasn't just that shot,
- 14:51It was the. Past the length of the floor.
- 14:54It was that. It was the picture of Thomas
- 14:57Hill on the side with his mouth again, Absolutely.
- 15:01CBS talk about knocking on the part, but here's maybe the most
- 15:04important thing. It was 2 blue bloods in a great.
- 15:07Kentucky Duke. Yeah.
- 15:08Yeah, it wasn't 6764. Both teams shot 33% from the
- 15:12floor. It was a great, great
- 15:15basketball. Game.
- 15:16It was Kentucky ascending for the first time in quite a while
- 15:19too, at that time as they were building back up, coming off the
- 15:22sanctions of Eddie Sutton. So there was a lot of part of
- 15:25that. Can Kentucky basketball ever
- 15:27become Kentucky? As a kid, me in the 80s,
- 15:30Kentucky basketball wasn't that of Louisville was the program
- 15:34certainly during that time period and could Kentucky get
- 15:36back there after the sanctions? And obviously they were building
- 15:39to that moment and ultimately winning a championship a couple
- 15:42years later. That's a huge component to it
- 15:44too, is the two teams that were, it was like perfect time,
- 15:48perfect game, blue bloods and then a perfect shot.
- 15:51And they're still. I know.
- 15:53And a little fake before he made the shot.
- 15:55How did he have enough time to get it off?
- 15:57Fake right, Go left, swish What? And what?
- 16:01A pass from Grant Hill. I hated Duke too.
- 16:04Did you? Oh yeah.
- 16:05Because by when the runs in the end of the tournament knocked
- 16:09him out, seemingly the back-to-back years, they got
- 16:12him. They did, yeah.
- 16:13Back-to-back seasons in the 8-9 game against the One?
- 16:15Yeah, maybe another year was a 710 game against two.
- 16:18But. Regardless, Audie Crook just
- 16:19made Sports Center. Oh yeah, yeah, that's.
- 16:21Just in. She is a face of women's college
- 16:24basketball. But I didn't like Duke because
- 16:26that was a UNLV guy, you know, UNLV gave me a lot of
- 16:29heartbreak. That was the other just because
- 16:32I love Larry Johnson. Larry Johnson was my guy and
- 16:34Stacy Augman in that group. It was after the defeat with
- 16:38Armand Gillian in 87 Tark and Tark.
- 16:41I mean it's. Got a kick out of them.
- 16:43And they eat in the towel. The College.
- 16:44Coaches too, you just think about them.
- 16:46Oh my God, the. Personality of these people and
- 16:49just how different they were in a different era.
- 16:52Now you just got I sitting over there some.
- 16:54Of the stories that they could tell.
- 16:56I mean, if they would, they wouldn't.
- 16:58No, probably not. Probably not.
- 17:00All right, Dalton rostrum is coming up next.
- 17:02We're going to get into the NFL, switch gears.
- 17:04NFL draft 3 weeks from tonight round #1 Pittsburgh is the
- 17:09scene. We continue on here, Miller and
- 17:12Condon until 2 circus sports present.
- 17:14Trent's plays of the day. They're about, oh, half an hour
- 17:17away or thereabouts. It's the Iowa sports radio
- 17:20network. Iowa Sports Radio Network
- 17:21Graphite Construction sponsors our draft conversation right up
- 17:26until the day of the draft, which is day number one is 3
- 17:30weeks from today. Let's begin to familiarize
- 17:33ourself with it as both of our state's basketball team, the men
- 17:36had long runs in the tournament kind of put the draft on the
- 17:39back burner for a week longer than normal.
- 17:42Dalton Wasserman, NFL analyst and Co host of the college
- 17:45football podcast. He joins us as we talk college
- 17:49football preferred walk on I should say football show and
- 17:52Dalton joins Miss Dalton Trenton.
- 17:54Ken, thanks for coming on. Good to talk to you.
- 17:56Dalton, how are you doing? Oh, we're good, man.
- 17:59We're good. Obviously it's been a quite, a
- 18:01quite a wild week as you might have heard, but it's all good
- 18:03and still 3 weeks away for the from the draft.
- 18:05We're just preparing and like you mentioned, keeping the
- 18:07college show going under a different name there.
- 18:09Now, love it, though. You guys are very knowledgeable
- 18:11over there. It's not like the Pro Football
- 18:14Focus went in a different direction.
- 18:15You guys just everything left everything at the shop.
- 18:18You walked out with your knowledge and we're going to
- 18:20pick your brain about that. So it seems like there's some, I
- 18:23don't know, momentum behind Ty Simpson working his way into the
- 18:28first round. It's obviously not a great year
- 18:30to be a quarterback needy team with a good spot to draft that
- 18:33quarterback. There's Mendoza and then
- 18:36seemingly a huge gap. Is Simpson a first round?
- 18:39You're in your mind? And then I want to follow that
- 18:41up is, is who's the 3rd quarterback in this draft?
- 18:45I think Simpson's a borderline first rounder to me.
- 18:48I don't know that he's the guy that I would take a gamble on in
- 18:50the first half of the round. But I think once you get into
- 18:52the 20s and maybe you get some teams in the 30s either waiting
- 18:56for him to fall there or trading up into the 20s to get him.
- 18:58I think it's in a very similar range as we saw Jackson Dart go
- 19:01last year, right? He was, I believe, the 25th
- 19:03overall pick and the Giants traded up from the early 30s
- 19:06there to go get him. So if somebody really feels like
- 19:09he's their guy, I could see him going first round, maybe a 21 to
- 19:12Pittsburgh if they feel like he's the successor to Aaron
- 19:15Rogers. I think it's possible that he's
- 19:16a first round pick. I just wouldn't guarantee it.
- 19:18And then as far as the third guy, I think it's a wide open
- 19:21battle. I think there's a pretty big gap
- 19:22between Mendoza and Simpson at the top and then the next guy.
- 19:25So I think there's a host of them.
- 19:26If you want tools, that's Drew Aller, Some people like Carson
- 19:29Beck, me personally, I have Garrett Nussmeyer as 3, but I'm
- 19:32still not entirely sure that he'd be more than maybe a mid to
- 19:35late third round pick. Honestly, I think the injuries
- 19:38and everything he dealt with this year are a bit of a
- 19:39concern. I have Nussmeyer 3rd, but this
- 19:41is a group of probably four or five guys that you could
- 19:43consider and I would say, hey, you know what, that makes some
- 19:46sense on some level. If he can take us a little
- 19:48deeper into Mendoza, we a year ago at this time after he had
- 19:52made his announcement to Indiana, Ken and I both believe
- 19:55that they were going to have an upgraded quarterback from what
- 19:57they had the year previous, but certainly not what they got out
- 20:00of him this past season. How he projects in your mind at
- 20:03the next level and maybe some deficiencies, some things that
- 20:06he's going to have to figure out right away.
- 20:08Yeah, I think when you talk about the strength, this is a
- 20:10guy who's on an upward trajectory and continuing to
- 20:13prove when you watch the year to year improvement from his first
- 20:15year starting to Cal to his 2nd and then to Indiana, First
- 20:18things first, his frame is awesome.
- 20:20He's physically gotten bigger and stronger as he's gone on.
- 20:23The leadership qualities are a plus and you saw the way that he
- 20:26led that Indiana team to a national title.
- 20:28Very good arm. I think a relatively quick
- 20:30processor, especially pre snap, I think is where he really
- 20:33excels right now. Could use some work when it
- 20:35comes to A taking less hits when he's moving outside the pocket
- 20:38and B just not freezing a bit when he gets to his second and
- 20:41third read. But I think a lot of his flaws
- 20:43are teachable in my opinion, especially with Kirk Cousins now
- 20:46in the room for at least this year with with Las Vegas and
- 20:49really being that mentor. I think they're similar types of
- 20:51quarterbacks and Mendoza even has better athletic tools.
- 20:54I think Mendoza can develop at some point into a top 8 to 10
- 20:57type quarterback in the NFL. You mentioned Kirk Cousins.
- 21:00I, I saw a statistic on X earlier today.
- 21:03He's in the top five as far as earnings, career earnings in the
- 21:06NFL for he's won one playoff game in his career.
- 21:10What does he have left in your mind, Dalton?
- 21:13Is he just, I don't know, there to kind of like Kurt Warner and
- 21:17Eli Manning type of relationship back in the day?
- 21:21Yeah, I think it is that, right. I mean, you're talking about him
- 21:23at his age, and he certainly made plenty of money like you
- 21:26just mentioned. But he showed you with Atlanta
- 21:28last year, a little healthier than the year before off the
- 21:30torn Achilles, that there's still something left in the
- 21:33tank. Now is are you going to win a
- 21:34Super Bowl with Kirk Cousins as you're starting quarterback?
- 21:36Probably not. But you talk about a guy who got
- 21:38good bridge quarterback type of money, and the intangibles have
- 21:41always been there. It goes all the way back to the
- 21:43days when he was at Michigan State as a backup and he was
- 21:46named A-Team captain even as the backup quarterback.
- 21:48I mean, those intangibles are really what keeps them hanging
- 21:50around the league, either as a backup or he might be their Week
- 21:531 starter in Vegas if they want to take the slow track with
- 21:56Mendoza. And you know, you'll probably
- 21:58see Mendoza at some point this year, could even see him Week 1.
- 22:00But Cousins is just a great guy to have in that room.
- 22:02And the other thing that gets forgotten about here sometimes
- 22:04is connections. Played under Clint Kubiak in
- 22:07Minnesota for three years. So he knows this offense like
- 22:10the back of his hand. And that's going to be a big
- 22:12transition for Mendoza as well. But Cousins is there to help
- 22:14that cause too. Jeremiah Love, the Notre Dame
- 22:17Ronnie Back of course, is a huge conversation piece after what we
- 22:20saw a year ago. Ashton Genti goes in the top
- 22:22ten, however, didn't have an offensive line and it's hard to
- 22:25make an impact as a running back.
- 22:27What do you don't have an offensive line?
- 22:28Your thoughts on Love as a prospect and just in general
- 22:31taking a running back that high top half of the first round?
- 22:35Far and away the best running back prospect in this class.
- 22:38I think he can he at least compares if he doesn't surpass
- 22:41he at least compares pretty well to some of the elite prospects
- 22:44we've had over the past few years, right.
- 22:46You go back to Saquon Barkley, Bichon Robinson, Ashton Ginti
- 22:50last year. I think so there's some scouts
- 22:52I've seen that like love better than they like Ginti last year.
- 22:54So I think you're talking about in this class, especially with
- 22:57the lack of elite offensive playmakers.
- 22:59He's probably the best 1 and I I think he's pretty close to a
- 23:02lock of a top eight pick. Yes, you need to have the right
- 23:05situation. You saw that with Ginty last
- 23:07year with the way the offensive line fell apart.
- 23:09Didn't have the year that he wanted to.
- 23:10But Love is a home run hitter with blazing speed at 210 lbs.
- 23:14You just don't get his ability that often and if you're going
- 23:17to take a back that high, it needs to be a special player.
- 23:20I think Jeremiah Love is a special player.
- 23:22Let's talk about some of the locals in our conversation with
- 23:25you this week. We'll start with the the big
- 23:27citrus Dominic Orange, second, second day pick and in all
- 23:31likely, and I'd be surprised if he's, you know, he's not taken
- 23:34in the 2nd or the 3rd Iowa State's Dominic orange.
- 23:37When you watch him, what did you see?
- 23:40I think you get a player, even though he's close to 330 lbs, a
- 23:43player who's really sneaky athletic, you know, you kind of
- 23:46get this guy who you go, OK, is he just going to plug gaps or
- 23:48what? But he's got some first step
- 23:50quickness to him and he can make plays in the backfield.
- 23:53I agree with you. He's probably something like a
- 23:54top 75 player. I think he could get into the
- 23:57second round. I have him as defensive tackle
- 23:59#6 I believe it is on my list. And I think he's somewhere in
- 24:03that four to maybe 7 or 8 range for a lot of people in a really
- 24:06deep defensive line class. I think Orange is one of those
- 24:08big bodied guys. He's more versatile than his
- 24:11size would let on and I think that quickness and play making
- 24:13ability is really going to help him.
- 24:15Another guy with local connections, though, just back
- 24:17at the high school level from southeast Polk, and that is
- 24:20Kaden Proctor. Now he made his way back to Iowa
- 24:23for briefly, yeah, six weeks I think before he went back to
- 24:26Alabama after being in Iowa City for about 6 weeks.
- 24:30I think that shows you probably one of the big questions about
- 24:32him, dedication, flakiness, question marks about just the
- 24:36work ethic that's going to be in there.
- 24:38I put in the work to get ready for the draft, but is it going
- 24:40to continue once he gets those paychecks?
- 24:42A lot of question marks, but in terms of talent, a lot of upside
- 24:45for Proctor. What are your thoughts on him?
- 24:48Definitely a lot of upside. I think the big thing for me is
- 24:50that just can he keep the weight down at a manageable level to
- 24:53stay at tackle? I mean, we know he's such a
- 24:55massive prospect and you just flip on the tape and the first
- 24:57thing that jumps out is the frame, right?
- 24:59He's 6 foot 7. There's you know, he's played at
- 25:0236370. Even at times it was people that
- 25:04said 380 plus for him, which would obviously be heavy.
- 25:07We just don't see that many tackles succeed at over 350 or
- 25:10360 unless they have to move inside.
- 25:12So weighing in at 3:52 at the combine, I I think was huge for
- 25:16him and his prospects of staying at tackle, tackle, right.
- 25:18The more likely he is to stay at left tackle, the more likely he
- 25:21is to be a potential top 15 to 20 pick, right?
- 25:24If they, if teams feel like, well, we don't know if he can
- 25:27keep it down or he's going to end up playing in the 360, might
- 25:29have to move inside, which is still a very valuable asset.
- 25:32He can be a really good player and there he's a really good
- 25:34pass protector. Just a matter of where he's
- 25:36going to play. If he can keep it down under 350
- 25:38or even get even down under 340, I think he could be a franchise
- 25:41left tackle for somebody. But that's going to be the big
- 25:43question is to have that plan moving forward.
- 25:45A couple of Hawkeyes, offensive lineman, Jones and Dunker.
- 25:48Where do you you have them? Second, late second?
- 25:50Somewhere in the third. Second day picks though.
- 25:53Dunker, I have higher more of a day to pick, I think a mid to
- 25:57late day to pick, depending on the scheme that he goes to
- 25:59because Tim Lester running that Iowa offense very much like a
- 26:03Shanahan type of offense in the league.
- 26:04So I think for both of those guys, it's going to be a matter
- 26:07of team fit, right? I think A-Team I really like for
- 26:09Dunker is somebody maybe like the Seattle Seahawks, if they
- 26:12want to move them inside to guard at #64 overall, the very
- 26:15end of the second round, I think that would make a lot of sense.
- 26:17And then you talk talking about Logan Jones, I think because
- 26:19he's a little undersized, probably more of an early day
- 26:22three guy for me. But again, if you can get him in
- 26:24that system, we've seen a history now the last half
- 26:26decade, especially undersized centers who are really good
- 26:29athletes that can fit those zone type of schemes.
- 26:32I think you really could get a decent prospect out of Jones
- 26:35even if he's got a sit for a year or two.
- 26:36We've seen guys like that succeed.
- 26:38I think about a Drew Dolman, or I shouldn't even say now, for
- 26:41the Chicago Bears. The recently retired Drew Dolman
- 26:43was the same kind of player, fourth or fifth round pick, who
- 26:45ended up succeeding in that fashion.
- 26:48Question on Mark Gronowski doesn't get invited to the
- 26:50combine. Had a good workout, though.
- 26:52It sounds like an Iowa City, though most of the guys do in
- 26:54their own pro days. That usually happens there, not
- 26:57as a draft pick, but a guy that can stick around.
- 26:59He's got such a unique skill set.
- 27:01We saw struggles early on in the passing game and that improved
- 27:04throughout the course of the year.
- 27:05But him as a runner, his dynamic is, is there a spot?
- 27:08It'll be developmental for a couple of years, but Karnowski
- 27:11find a home out of practice squad.
- 27:14I think he can, yeah. I mean, you talk about a guy
- 27:16with really good intangibles, you know, national championship
- 27:19winning quarterback at South Dakota State.
- 27:20And I think that was a lot of what really attracted Iowa to
- 27:23him too, is those intangibles. The the ability to play under
- 27:26center, which he's done a lot in his career at both of those
- 27:28spots and run play action concepts, turn his back to the
- 27:31line of scrimmage. So there's a lot to like about
- 27:33him. His athletic ability and the
- 27:34intangibles really stick out. The arm talent itself is not
- 27:38elite. Certainly I think he would if he
- 27:40had elite arm talent, we would talk about him probably getting
- 27:42drafted. But he's the type of guy that
- 27:44coaches are going to really like when they sit down and talk to
- 27:46him, right? He had a very good shrine ball
- 27:48by all accounts. So I do think he's probably more
- 27:50of a priority UFAUDFA kind of kind of camp body type of arm
- 27:55that could work his way right now into a third string
- 27:57quarterback role. But you never know.
- 27:59Look, the lack of depth in this quarterback class means maybe
- 28:01some people have just a better opinion.
- 28:03And you could see in around six or seven that Gronowski is
- 28:05someone that just, again, scouts and coaches are attracted to
- 28:08because of the intangibles especially.
- 28:10Want to ask you about one of my favorite guys in the draft.
- 28:12He kind of reminds me, although I don't I don't think he's as
- 28:14big tall as Luther Burden, Zachariah Branch I watched him
- 28:18at USCI, thought, Oh my God, what a what a problem He's going
- 28:21to be in the Big 10. Obviously finished at Georgia,
- 28:24maybe didn't have the college career in totality that some,
- 28:28myself included, thought he was going to have.
- 28:31Zachariah Branch, NFL. What kind of NFL career lies
- 28:34ahead for him? I think it depends on on how
- 28:38much a team can unlock him because he is he is very small.
- 28:41He is smaller than Luther Burden and how many, how many teams
- 28:44feel like they can unlock him and work him vertically down the
- 28:47field? Because so much of his
- 28:48production at even Georgia this past year, and he had a better
- 28:51year than he did either the 1st 2 at USC.
- 28:53But so much of that production came from screens and throws
- 28:56behind the line of scrimmage and gadget plays.
- 28:58And he's very good in that role with the ball in his hands.
- 29:01He's got that running back field to him, right?
- 29:03He can make people miss. He's a dynamic returner.
- 29:05There's a place in the NFL some people are going to see him as
- 29:08wow, I need that guy speed on my team.
- 29:10He's a second rounder, you know, some are going to go in and
- 29:12maybe he's more of a gadget player around 3 or 4 type of
- 29:14guy. There's a role for him in the
- 29:16NFL, but it depends on how much he can separate down the field.
- 29:19Can he start making vertical plays down the field to
- 29:22compliment everything he can do behind the line of scrimmage?
- 29:24Or is he going to be more of just a lightning quick gadget
- 29:27player? Want to jump into a couple of
- 29:29our regional teams here? Start selfishly with my team,
- 29:32the Bears. I mean, is it as simple as when
- 29:35they get to into the 20s and the Bears are making that pick a 25?
- 29:38Unless there's some kind of movement, it's just defense,
- 29:41defense, defense. Does the injury out of left
- 29:43tackle, Does that change the equation for them?
- 29:45How do you look at the Bears at least early on in this draft?
- 29:48I think there's going to be a heavy emphasis on defense.
- 29:50You're talking about having a three picks in the top 60.
- 29:53I would I would expect at least two of those are going to be on
- 29:55the defensive side of the ball. They need another safety.
- 29:57They need more help on the defensive line for sure.
- 29:59And those are two really good classes.
- 30:01You have especially you talk about the D line.
- 30:03Defensive line's the deepest position group in this draft.
- 30:06I would expect them to take multiple players to try to fix
- 30:08that unit. But I think if there's a sleeper
- 30:10position they could take, I think they could attack wide
- 30:12receiver, right? They lost DJ Moore in that
- 30:14trade. Obviously alumnatee Zacchaeus is
- 30:16out to to Atlanta and now you're talking about, OK, you've got
- 30:20Burden, you've got Odoonsay, but one more guy would never hurt.
- 30:23Especially you talk about in Ben Johnson's offense.
- 30:25So I think receiver is something they could look into.
- 30:27I don't know that they'll do it in the first round, but it's
- 30:29certainly going to be a heavy emphasis on defense for them.
- 30:32A few years ago, we had Rugs, we had Judy and we had CD Lamb and
- 30:37we had Jefferson. The kid that flamed out with
- 30:41Philadelphia can't, for whatever reason, can't pull his name and
- 30:44stop my head. But when it comes to the
- 30:46receivers, it seems like in the top 15, there's at least three
- 30:49names, right? There's Tate, there's Lemon, and
- 30:52then there's Jordan Tyson, who played in in Arizona State.
- 30:57He was injured for the Big 12 game against Iowa State, so
- 30:59never saw him there, but certainly saw enough of him in
- 31:02the Big 12 to realize he's a hell of a player.
- 31:04Of the three big names in the receiving corps in this year's
- 31:08draft, who do you like the best? I have Makai Lemon actually as
- 31:12the top guy, and they're all extremely close when you look at
- 31:15these evals and they're very different players.
- 31:18Carnell Tate's much more of a downfield vertical threat.
- 31:21Jordan Tyson, I think, is a great intermediate route runner.
- 31:23And then Lemon, you talk about the shiftiness in his route
- 31:26running, the ability to make contested catches even though
- 31:28he's an undersized guy, and you just talk about somebody who's
- 31:31just a smooth playmaker there. It's very, very close.
- 31:34I have Lemon one and then actually Tyson 2 and Tate 3, but
- 31:38you could argue the three of them for me in any order and I
- 31:40would accept that. I wouldn't argue too much.
- 31:42They're all very, very close in talent level.
- 31:44When you're scouting somebody like Carnell Tate, he obviously
- 31:47has Jeremiah Smith, who might be a generational talent on the
- 31:50other side of them. Does that change the way that
- 31:52you have to look at him? Just knowing the attention
- 31:54that's going on the other side, the way the defenses are going
- 31:57to go? How much does it change things
- 31:58when you look at the tape of Carnell Tate?
- 32:01I mean, not a whole lot to be honest with you.
- 32:03I mean, obviously you have to stop #4 somehow on the other
- 32:06side. And Tate was able to take
- 32:07advantage, especially this year as he emerged as the number 2
- 32:10weapons. Even the year before he was #3
- 32:12behind Smith and a Mecca Abuka former first round pick.
- 32:15I mean, that's just kind of life of playing.
- 32:17That's that's the life of playing wide receiver at Ohio
- 32:19State, right? But no, you, you look at Tate
- 32:22and I mean, you look at just a one-on-one battles he would win.
- 32:24The double moves, the ability to get himself open vertically down
- 32:27the field. You know that that's always an
- 32:29asset, right? And I mean, when you sit there
- 32:31and you look at even some NFL teams, the Bengals with Chase
- 32:34and T Higgins, right? Am I going to think of less of T
- 32:36Higgins because Jamar Chase is out there?
- 32:38No. Am I going to think less of
- 32:39Devante Smith because AJ Brown's out there?
- 32:41No. They're just, it's great to have
- 32:42two great receivers like that, right?
- 32:44So Ohio State obviously took it full, took full advantage.
- 32:47And you know, Tate, either way, he's making the adjustment up to
- 32:50the NFL. He's going to have to learn how
- 32:51to beat NFL cornerbacks and safeties and things of that
- 32:54nature. But he's got the ability to do
- 32:56it. Don Wasserman preferred walk on
- 32:58college football show NFL analyst follow on X at CFB under
- 33:03score. Dalton Dalton, we appreciate it.
- 33:06You're not going to be on the sidelines very long, my friend.
- 33:09You're very knowledgeable and very good at what you do and
- 33:12Trent and I will impose on you as we get closer to this.
- 33:14Again, should your schedule allow.
- 33:16Dalton, Thanks for jumping on, man.
- 33:17Brighter days are ahead. Thank you.
- 33:19Dalton Wasserman, appreciate it. Absolutely appreciate you guys
- 33:22all the time. Thank you.
- 33:23Good to talk to you, Dalton Wasserman, as we check in on the
- 33:26NFL. One of the many, the dozens, I
- 33:28don't know how many. The number was a lot at Pro
- 33:30Football Focus when they were sold.
- 33:33Him and a bunch of his colleagues got their walking
- 33:35papers, unfortunately. Tough part of the business.
- 33:38It is, yeah. It's reality and it's all mean.
- 33:40Listen to this guy. He's he's a fountain of
- 33:42knowledge. Absolutely he is.
- 33:44We have a Monterey football season, NFL, college.
- 33:47He dives in deep to both sides of it, takes a look at the
- 33:50analytical part of it, the way that they kind of grade things,
- 33:52but also just watching the game, too.
- 33:54Yeah. And knowing that part of it.
- 33:55Really enjoy our conversations with Dalton.
- 33:57And yeah, let's continue those. Absolutely.
- 34:00Graphite Construction sponsors all of our draft conversations
- 34:04three weeks from tonight round #1 Won't be as important to me
- 34:08since my squad doesn't have a pick.
- 34:10But it's not like I'm not going to watch.
- 34:11I do love it. You do love it.
- 34:13I really, what is it about? I don't know it, you know what
- 34:15it is. It's the halfway point of the
- 34:17offseason. I'm not sure it's officially the
- 34:19halfway point, but in my mind it is and it's all downhill to the
- 34:23kick off of week #1. Now, have you always loved the
- 34:26NFL draft like this? Like I pretty much.
- 34:28You got the magazines back in the day and.
- 34:30I don't know if I was that sick. Certainly since I started doing
- 34:35radio, I was into it. Not back when I lived in Denver,
- 34:39obviously was. Yeah.
- 34:41You go to the draft parties or party, I think it was at
- 34:47Mcnichols. That's where the Nuggets used to
- 34:50play before the Avalanche got there.
- 34:53Mcnichols Arena. But no, I yeah, I love the
- 34:56draft. I don't know why Trades again,
- 34:58it's the it's all downhill till we get to the beginning of
- 35:02football. Long way to go before.
- 35:05Yeah, there is a long way to go. There's a long way to go.
- 35:08I I saw the Alex, Alec Bussey, of course does mornings with
- 35:11Heather, the first quarter here on Des Moines Sports station and
- 35:15the Iowa Sports Radio Network. He put a transcript up of the
- 35:18two coordinators. They met the media yesterday,
- 35:20Bill Seals likewise, but I saw Bussey's and and a lot of the
- 35:25names that were brought up I I was state players.
- 35:28Trent. I knew one guy.
- 35:29Yeah, it will I mean Flora. If there was two, there was a
- 35:32couple, but point being, if they named 25 I knew maybe two or
- 35:39three. This is 1 where you're going to
- 35:41have to most definitely. Buy a program.
- 35:44Have the roster next to you to figure this thing out.
- 35:46You need that part, yeah. I don't know if they sell
- 35:49programs anymore. Do we sell programs anymore
- 35:51Because everybody's got their phone and they got the program
- 35:53on the damn phone. But none the less, no, I I like
- 35:56it And and Dalton's terrific at what he do, what he does.
- 36:00And hopefully there'll be plenty of opportunities down the road.
- 36:03He'll be on words to bigger and better things.
- 36:06Give Collinsworth a lot of credit a for launching Pro
- 36:08Football Focus and for hiring all these guys and giving them a
- 36:13launching point to their career. But sadly, the company was was
- 36:17sold. And as is the case numerous
- 36:20times, when that happens, changes are afoot.
- 36:25We have time for a quick call. TC.
- 36:26Let's take John Cannon and he joins us.
- 36:29Hello John, how are you? Well, I'm fine and I'm, I'm
- 36:33calling about the Jamie Pollard announcement today for everybody
- 36:37to calm down. You know, all that stuff.
- 36:39And, and here's my problem with it.
- 36:40I, when we to travel, my wife and I, I'm, I'm the guy in
- 36:44charge of finding a hotel to stay at wherever we go.
- 36:47And so I look at a lot of reviews and there are a lot of
- 36:51different reasons I and I go right to the one star reviews I
- 36:54wanted. I don't care about the five star
- 36:56reviews. I want to see the one star
- 36:57reviews and there are 1,000,000 different reasons that a hotel
- 37:00can get a one star review. But if I see a pattern, then I'm
- 37:03not going there, right? If I guess it pops up in a lot
- 37:06of different reviews that the the front desk is surly or, or
- 37:09the rooms weren't clean or you know, something along those
- 37:12lines, then then that's a warning sign.
- 37:14I think the problem that we have with this ISU women's basketball
- 37:17situation is, yes, there are lots of different reasons that
- 37:20people can enter the portal. We understand that you have 11
- 37:23people who have entered and I guess one just recanted and came
- 37:25back. I want to know, I don't even
- 37:28need to actually know the reason that each person has done it,
- 37:32but I want someone in the media to find out what are the reasons
- 37:36given and if like 6 of them or seven of them are leaving for
- 37:41the same reason. I think we need to know that.
- 37:44Yeah, yeah. It's a mutiny.
- 37:47There's no, there's I think that that's the word you got to use.
- 37:51Yeah. And and if that's the case, if
- 37:52they're all leaving because of the coach and Jamie Pollard's
- 37:55decided, well, I'm riding, you know, riding and dying with this
- 37:57coach, then that's something the fans all need to understand
- 38:00before they, you know, keep putting their money into that
- 38:02pot. Yeah, and for Pollard to compare
- 38:04it to the football program, what would they?
- 38:06I mean that that's apples and oranges.
- 38:07Oh, I mean, come on. And he kind of snuck a little
- 38:09dig in there at Iowa, yeah, which has kind of normal
- 38:13transfer portal stuff going on. If there's 5 or 6 gals put going
- 38:17to the portal, we didn't blink an eye.
- 38:19No, that's the new. Reality.
- 38:20That's the new reality. You're right.
- 38:22Yeah, but this is what I. Think of this, if this was a men
- 38:24program, we would know, I mean we would all know this is this
- 38:29is they were able to get away with this because it's a women's
- 38:31program. There aren't.
- 38:32There's not that many media that cover it.
- 38:34And the media Birch's. Trying Birch.
- 38:36She's trying. You know, If there's a story to
- 38:38be told, Birch's going to tell it despite the fact.
- 38:41That I just want to get that in. Yep.
- 38:42Thank you, John. Appreciate it.
- 38:44No, they're not. They won't make it easy, no.
- 38:47And that's why I asked the question about the the managers.
- 38:49Do you know the answer to that? I mean, they got no.
- 38:51I get that everybody wants to climb the ladder, but the fact
- 38:53remains as very few are. One of the people that I hung
- 38:56out last weekend in Houston was one of those people.
- 38:59He also knew to keep his mouth shut.
- 39:01And now many decades removed, the stories over a couple of
- 39:06beers started to flow and right and we had some mutual
- 39:09connections. So that was very fun.
- 39:10But now I I think you understand the business.
- 39:14And if you're known as somebody that's talking, guess what,
- 39:17you're 22 and you graduate, are you going to get that referral?
- 39:20Well, if you want to stay in the business, obviously no, but the
- 39:23fact remains. Pretty much all of them do.
- 39:25Right. But I mean, realistically, like
- 39:28I wanted to be a doctor. I mean, realistically, how many
- 39:33you know are a hockey player, you know, then reality sits in
- 39:37and that job, that pathway is not there for you.
- 39:40I don't. I think for a lot of them it is,
- 39:42though. That's why you do that, yeah.
- 39:45It's kind of like I, I, I would love to know this answer too.
- 39:48Why? He's going to make a lot of
- 39:49money playing in Europe. How many guys get to go play in
- 39:51Europe? Lots.
- 39:53Apparently there's there's a a hundreds of jobs every year that
- 40:00are open. Oh, more than that.
- 40:01Wait, there are leagues everywhere.
- 40:03Every country that you could possibly imagine, there's some
- 40:05kind of league. Now is it going over there and
- 40:07making 50? Grand, but one of those both
- 40:09those guys that went over three years ago is just assumed that
- 40:12they're a couple of years and they come home.
- 40:14That's for the most part, I think that plays out unless
- 40:16you're playing it, yeah, some of the elite level leagues and
- 40:18things like. That yeah, Aaron Whites out a
- 40:20hell of a career. Yes, a lot of championships made
- 40:22a lot of money. And he's had to bounce around
- 40:23though a bunch. Too, Yes, seen a lot of the
- 40:25world. Yes.

- 41:38weather? Kind of like this outside.
- 41:40Miserable if you're a Twins fan, too, though.
- 41:43I I flipped it on like the 7th inning when they started to come
- 41:45back a little bit, they were down 13, four.
- 41:47Yeah. So Josh Bell hit a home run.
- 41:49Did. You I was gone by then, yeah.
- 41:52You should have been, yeah. It looked miserable, though.
- 41:54The people that were there. There could have been 100 people
- 41:56at that. No, it was very.
- 41:56It was empty, Yeah. Inside the building.
- 41:58Why would you go? The weirdness of it too.
- 42:00Well, and even if you went, you're out of there, Yeah,
- 42:03You're not sticking around till the 9th inning.
