- 0:00Speaker 1: Now Ron verb on news radio, five 70 WKBN. Well,
- 0:06Speaker 1: good afternoon. Three Oh five in the afternoon. It's 80 degrees.
- 0:08Speaker 1: It's a lovely day on Tuesday, August 25th. Already Ron
- 0:12Speaker 1: verb from the kingdom of Mahoney. We are underway here
- 0:15Speaker 1: at three, three, zero seven, two nine 99 77. It's Tuesday, right? Yes. Three, three,
- 0:19Speaker 1: zero seven, two nine 99 77. We'll get you through
- 0:22Speaker 1: to us here on news radio, five 70 WKBN. So
- 0:25Speaker 1: keep that in mind. Um, I got to tell you
- 0:30Speaker 1: on yesterday's broadcast on yesterday's broadcast, it is, I've been
- 0:38Speaker 1: laughing all, uh, all day till I heard the sad
- 0:41Speaker 1: news about Dolly Parton. But, uh, I got to tell you, JJ,
- 0:46Speaker 1: the Trumpster, his calls are just getting better and better
- 0:50Speaker 1: and better. I mean, if you, if you were listening
- 0:52Speaker 1: yesterday at all, um, When he was talking about how
- 0:59Speaker 1: he was so busy over the weekend and what he
- 1:01Speaker 1: was doing, I was just reflecting on his call after
- 1:05Speaker 1: he did it yesterday in a program and today. And
- 1:10Speaker 1: it still makes me smile and laugh. I mean, he
- 1:12Speaker 1: was just— J. J. is a great actor. He really is like
- 1:16Speaker 1: theater of the mind. J.J. the liberal, a.k.a. J.J. the
- 1:20Speaker 1: Trumpster now, since he did have electric shock therapy. And
- 1:24Speaker 1: how about what he calls up getting angry at people
- 1:28Speaker 1: when they're getting on saying nasty things about Trump and
- 1:31Speaker 1: that kind of stuff. So now he's JJ the Trumpster
- 1:35Speaker 1: because of electric shock therapy. I mean, it's really clever.
- 1:39Speaker 1: I mean, he's really brought a smile to my face here. Anyway,
- 1:42Speaker 1: in a sadness today, what is this is really this
- 1:47Speaker 1: is unique in the sense of I'm genuinely saddened by
- 1:52Speaker 1: the passing of Dolly Parton. I mean, I'm genuinely saddened
- 1:56Speaker 1: by it. And, you know, as I sit down here today,
- 2:00Speaker 1: I'm saddened by it. Isn't that strange? Somebody that I've
- 2:05Speaker 1: never met in person, and I've never met her in person, but...
- 2:09Speaker 1: I'm certainly familiar with watching her on television sing and
- 2:13Speaker 1: listening to her music and watching her. She was just
- 2:17Speaker 1: such a ball of energy to me. There's this much
- 2:21Speaker 1: I love about Dolly Parton. She was just so upbeat
- 2:24Speaker 1: of a person, such a positive person. She was just
- 2:28Speaker 1: a positive person when she was performing. Dolly Parton wasn't
- 2:32Speaker 1: there like Bruce Springsteen and these people talking about politics
- 2:37Speaker 1: or how you should vote. Or any of that nonsense.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Dolly Parton was simply there as an entertainer to entertain.
- 2:44Speaker 1: And she was positive. She was upbeat. She was energetic.
- 2:52Speaker 1: And just a terrific writer and singer. And the times
- 2:58Speaker 1: that I would see her on some of her performances
- 3:01Speaker 1: on YouTube or wherever you would see some of them.
- 3:06Speaker 1: It was just a pleasure to watch. Now, I never
- 3:08Speaker 1: had the opportunity to see her in person. I was
- 3:11Speaker 1: talking to my one buddy Dave today, and he saw her.
- 3:14Speaker 1: He goes to a lot of country shows, and he
- 3:17Speaker 1: said Dolly Parton was probably the best show. It was
- 3:19Speaker 1: probably the best show for him. I mean, it was
- 3:25Speaker 1: probably the best show that he's seen. And he sees
- 3:28Speaker 1: a lot of country shows. It kind of saddens me
- 3:32Speaker 1: because I know that she was not feeling well for
- 3:36Speaker 1: a period of time. And you were kind of hoping
- 3:38Speaker 1: that she would get back out and perform again. And maybe,
- 3:43Speaker 1: just maybe, you'd get an opportunity to catch one of
- 3:46Speaker 1: her shows. So positive, so upbeat, so energetic. What a
- 3:52Speaker 1: great entertainer. What an absolute great entertainer. Great songwriter, great performer.
- 3:59Speaker 1: And it's sad. And yet... even though you've never met her,
- 4:04Speaker 1: there's like a sadness that you have that you feel
- 4:09Speaker 1: a sadness, you know, breaks your heart. You feel a sadness.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Isn't that a strange connection that you're going to have
- 4:14Speaker 1: to people? I mean, because you feel like you really
- 4:18Speaker 1: genuinely do know her just from over the years. And
- 4:24Speaker 1: it's just kind of sad. And it reminds you time
- 4:27Speaker 1: marches on. It doesn't matter how much money you have.
- 4:29Speaker 1: It doesn't matter how important you are. We all meet
- 4:32Speaker 1: our maker at some point, so you better enjoy a
- 4:36Speaker 1: lot of your life. And she was married to that.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Can you imagine her husband who stayed pretty well out
- 4:41Speaker 1: of the limelight, and she never got divorced, stayed married
- 4:44Speaker 1: to him, and just was kind of impressive. So that
- 4:53Speaker 1: part is sad today. It is sad. Comments?
- 5:04Speaker 2: 330-729-9977.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Almost forgot the phone number from it. I was thinking
- 5:10Speaker 1: about Dolly Parton. 330-729-9977. 330-729-9977. I mentioned about JJ's call
- 5:15Speaker 1: yesterday and the joy of it. I had another call
- 5:19Speaker 1: yesterday that was just really, really entertaining. A woman called me.
- 5:22Speaker 1: She's like 85 years old. And she was just very interesting.
- 5:28Speaker 1: you know, sometimes a lot, a lot of times people say, well,
- 5:30Speaker 1: I don't know. Uh, sometimes I stopped talking about, uh,
- 5:34Speaker 1: Trump and politics and stuff like that. And just enjoy
- 5:37Speaker 1: a time. I really enjoyed my conversation with her just
- 5:40Speaker 1: as I enjoy my conversations with fifth Avenue. Um, even
- 5:43Speaker 1: though sometimes he wants to talk politics, but, uh, it
- 5:47Speaker 1: brings me joy just to have, um, outside of political
- 5:51Speaker 1: conversations with fifth Avenue. And, uh, Because I sense him
- 5:56Speaker 1: as a guy that's really enjoying his retirement and just
- 6:01Speaker 1: his life, which is kind of cool. Just the diversity, gang,
- 6:05Speaker 1: the diversity of the program. That's what I'm here to say,
- 6:08Speaker 1: the diversity of it. You're on the air.
- 6:11Speaker 3: How you doing, Ron?
- 6:14Speaker 1: There he is from Fort Lauderdale. It's Frank. Some love him,
- 6:19Speaker 1: some hate him. But we always welcome them. And I
- 6:23Speaker 1: think economically you've been more spot on as to what's
- 6:26Speaker 1: going on. By the way, let me pick your brain
- 6:29Speaker 1: a little bit. What do you make of this latest
- 6:31Speaker 1: move that they're doing against Iran, if you will, with
- 6:38Speaker 1: the monetary bomb they say they're using?
- 6:43Speaker 3: Well, it's not going to work. And I don't believe
- 6:47Speaker 3: the world is facing a shortage of oil. because of
- 6:51Speaker 3: the Iran war, the damage to the global economy is
- 6:56Speaker 3: higher shipping rates, higher insurance premiums, refinery margins, higher diesel prices,
- 7:06Speaker 3: higher electricity costs. I could go on and on.
- 7:12Speaker 4: Wait, wait, wait.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Don't forget the higher cost of government borrowing, Ron.
- 7:17Speaker 1: And I want people to listen to what you're saying.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Because as you're talking, Frank, and a lot of people don't,
- 7:22Speaker 1: we look at the diesel price. Now it's like if
- 7:25Speaker 1: I see it at $ 4, I want to go fill up.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Because I see it places that it would be $ 4. 20, $ 4.
- 7:32Speaker 5: 30.
- 7:32Speaker 1: And some of these oil guys say, hey, the worst
- 7:36Speaker 1: is yet to come. Basically, they continue to say, you've
- 7:40Speaker 1: got about 30 million less barrels of oil a day
- 7:43Speaker 1: on a closed straight. That's a big hole that you're digging.
- 7:47Speaker 1: The problem is there's a shortage of oil because of
- 7:51Speaker 1: the lack of being able to transport it in that sense.
- 7:56Speaker 1: But you're 100% right. We are under attack. My electric
- 7:59Speaker 1: bill has doubled. Gas is high. And I looked at
- 8:03Speaker 1: diesel the other day. I don't use it. But guess what?
- 8:08Speaker 1: I need it for people to drive trucks. and farm
- 8:11Speaker 1: tractors and all that. Diesel's very important. And I think
- 8:14Speaker 1: it was like $ 5. 75 a gallon. I mean, if I'm
- 8:18Speaker 1: not mistaken, does that sound right to you, truckers out there,
- 8:23Speaker 1: $ 5. 75 a gallon? And jet fuel, I was reading about
- 8:26Speaker 1: jet fuel, and that is just through the roof expensive
- 8:30Speaker 1: right now. I mean, it's a huge problem getting it,
- 8:34Speaker 1: and the airline's got a serious problem. Some of them
- 8:37Speaker 1: are even canceling some of the flights. Have you seen that?
- 8:42Speaker 3: No, not recently, but, you know, even if the Straits
- 8:45Speaker 3: of Hormuz is open, if insuring ships is too costly,
- 8:51Speaker 3: or if the crews refuse to accept the risk, it
- 8:54Speaker 3: has the same effect of being closed or there being
- 8:58Speaker 3: an actual shortage of oil.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Yeah, well, if you have, what, 20 or 30 less
- 9:02Speaker 1: million barrels on the market a day... as we've had
- 9:06Speaker 1: for quite some time, you definitely, and we've been draining
- 9:09Speaker 1: our strategic oil reserves. Well, you've kind of been delaying
- 9:12Speaker 1: the inevitable, wouldn't you say, as far as prices going up?
- 9:17Speaker 6: Sure.
- 9:18Speaker 3: And I keep an eye on diesel because global economies
- 9:23Speaker 3: run on diesel. Trucks transport food and consumer goods. Farmers
- 9:30Speaker 3: operate machinery. Construction companies operate operate heavy equipment, and emergency generators,
- 9:39Speaker 3: protect hospitals from power shortages. They all need diesel. And
- 9:44Speaker 3: when diesel prices rise, the price of everything rises with it.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Right. And you bring up a good point, the cost
- 9:53Speaker 1: of diesel as well as, I don't know if it's
- 9:55Speaker 1: different or not, the fuel that you use for shipping.
- 9:58Speaker 1: I don't know if that's diesel or it's a different,
- 10:01Speaker 1: all right, shipping, big deal. And I know jet fuel
- 10:06Speaker 1: is different, but there's big issues in all three of
- 10:09Speaker 1: those arenas. just because of this nonsense that he started.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I mean, he's got this, he's got this whole situation.
- 10:18Speaker 1: He being Trump so messed up as far as the
- 10:21Speaker 1: price of everything. And, And now remember, we're going to
- 10:24Speaker 1: bomb them back to the Stone Age. Everything keeps changing
- 10:27Speaker 1: with it. We got them on the ropes. They want
- 10:30Speaker 1: to negotiate a settlement. We heard that 35 times. We
- 10:35Speaker 1: got the 60-day ceasefire. They want to negotiate. Well, we
- 10:38Speaker 1: did that once. We did that twice. Then he would
- 10:41Speaker 1: constantly say, we're going to bomb them back to the
- 10:42Speaker 1: Stone Age. Now we're not even talking about that anymore.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Now we're talking about these economic sanctions. We're going to
- 10:48Speaker 1: get them this way. This is a way. This is
- 10:50Speaker 1: going to do them in. And I keep saying to people... Iran,
- 10:54Speaker 1: all they have to do is survive to win. If
- 10:57Speaker 1: they can simply survive, then they win.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Well, Ron, I want to add more to your question
- 11:04Speaker 3: to me on Iran. Every vessel delayed or redirected reduces
- 11:11Speaker 3: available shipping capacity and increases freight rates everywhere. And insurers
- 11:18Speaker 3: must reprice the probability of a tanker being captured damaged
- 11:23Speaker 3: or destroyed, and refineries must compete for alternative supplies. Now,
- 11:30Speaker 3: countries dependent upon Gulf energy begin building precautionary inventories, and
- 11:37Speaker 3: energy traders add a geopolitical premium to guess the probability
- 11:43Speaker 3: of a missile striking a ship or a refinery or
- 11:47Speaker 3: a pipeline or an export terminal, and that's a lot
- 11:51Speaker 3: of uncertainty there. But I also wanted to say that
- 11:56Speaker 3: long-term bond yields are rising in the U.S., Europe, and
- 12:01Speaker 3: Japan because governments can't keep massive spending and they can't
- 12:06Speaker 3: keep borrowing without limit. And, you know, the national debt
- 12:12Speaker 3: is now over $ 40 trillion as of last Tuesday. Let
- 12:17Speaker 3: me quote one economist. He said, what we have done
- 12:20Speaker 3: to our grandchildren... is beyond criminal. We've condemned them to
- 12:25Speaker 3: a future of poverty and indebtedness. And Israel and the
- 12:31Speaker 3: politicians have destroyed the future of the country. Ron, the
- 12:36Speaker 3: yield on 30-year Treasury bonds just reached 5.3 percent, the
- 12:41Speaker 3: highest in 20 years. And Treasury Secretary Scott Besson said
- 12:46Speaker 3: he is going to double the size of government debt
- 12:49Speaker 3: buybacks And yields on government debt had a big drop
- 12:54Speaker 3: on the news, but it worked for only one day.
- 12:57Speaker 3: The next day, they spiked again. And yields on 10-year
- 13:02Speaker 3: treasuries are the main benchmark for auto loans and mortgages.
- 13:09Speaker 3: They're not now spiking, too. We just can't keep on
- 13:13Speaker 3: borrowing and spending the way we're doing. Oh, 10-year treasuries
- 13:18Speaker 3: also have impact credit card debts. And we, American consumers,
- 13:24Speaker 3: have the highest credit card debt in history.
- 13:27Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 13:28Speaker 1: There's not a lot of good news out there as
- 13:30Speaker 1: far as it goes. And I don't see any efforts, really,
- 13:33Speaker 1: to do anything to get spending under control. And if
- 13:38Speaker 1: you really look at it, the issue of Social Security in, what,
- 13:44Speaker 1: seven years? Medicare. I mean, there's some serious problems that
- 13:49Speaker 1: need to be dealt with and addressed as far as
- 13:52Speaker 1: as far as where we're going with all of this,
- 13:55Speaker 1: and there's lack of activity on it. Do away with
- 13:59Speaker 1: the cap and solve the problem. Infuse some money in it.
- 14:03Speaker 1: But stop spending all of this money on all these
- 14:06Speaker 1: foreign countries. We simply can't afford it. The people that
- 14:10Speaker 1: charge both Republicans and Democrats, Frank, they don't really seem
- 14:13Speaker 1: to give a damn what they're doing to future generations
- 14:16Speaker 1: or what they're doing to us, the current generation, by
- 14:19Speaker 1: driving this thing so far into the ground.
- 14:22Speaker 3: Well, you know, both Republican and Democrat voters keep voting
- 14:27Speaker 3: in these big spenders. They don't seem to care about
- 14:31Speaker 3: the future of the country and their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. But,
- 14:37Speaker 3: you know, there's no way out. The country is bankrupt,
- 14:45Speaker 3: and they just keep kicking the can down the road,
- 14:48Speaker 3: like with the bailing out the Japanese yen.
- 14:52Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 14:53Speaker 3: You know, they're very clever. They don't want Japan to
- 14:57Speaker 3: sell massive amounts of treasuries to pay for oil and food.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Right, because then interest rates would go up on the treasuries.
- 15:07Speaker 1: It was in our selfish interest to do what we
- 15:09Speaker 1: did to bail out Japan because they didn't want... Japan
- 15:12Speaker 1: has a trillion dollars in treasuries. If they start selling
- 15:14Speaker 1: a bunch of them off, they say the treasury rate
- 15:17Speaker 1: will go up and then the debt will go up
- 15:18Speaker 1: even more. This country, they put it in a fiscal mess.
- 15:23Speaker 1: A fiscal mess.
- 15:26Speaker 3: Well, Ron, you're absolutely right because they didn't do it
- 15:29Speaker 3: because they love Japan. They did not want... Treasury yields
- 15:35Speaker 3: to spike higher if Japan had massive sell-offs of their treasuries.
- 15:42Speaker 3: They want to keep spending and spending and spending and
- 15:47Speaker 3: have lower yields on bonds. So they can keep spending like...
- 15:53Speaker 3: Drunken sailors.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Totally oblivious to the debts. It says oil drops as U.S.
- 15:58Speaker 1: shifts to economic pressure on Iran, easing fears of renewed war. Well,
- 16:04Speaker 1: guess what? We'll see how it works out and see
- 16:07Speaker 1: what happens with oil. All right, Frank, appreciate your insight.
- 16:12Speaker 1: I thank you for it. All right, Frank. Frank's been
- 16:15Speaker 1: more right than he has been wrong when he talks
- 16:18Speaker 1: about some of the stuff going on economically. For all
- 16:21Speaker 1: of those Frank haters out there, maybe they should listen.
- 16:24Speaker 1: News Radio 570 WQN, 322 in the afternoon. On News
- 16:30Speaker 1: Radio 570 WQN, let me see here. You're on here.
- 16:35Speaker 6: I'll meet Ebenezer Badmouth and Drunken Sailors.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Well, listen.
- 16:39Speaker 6: That's where it ends for me.
- 16:41Speaker 1: You're a fan of the Drunken Sailor?
- 16:44Speaker 6: That's a good time. Can you say you've been at
- 16:48Speaker 6: the Waffle House at 3 a.m. with the Navy SEAL
- 16:51Speaker 6: and three strippers?
- 16:52Speaker 1: I can. That's a good time, brother. Stand by. Back
- 16:56Speaker 1: with you and more in a minute. Weather and Talk
- 17:02Speaker 1: Station 570 WKBN. Well, Heidi Ho, 325, 80 degrees. Ron
- 17:08Speaker 1: Verp from the Kingdom of Mahoney. All right, Jake, go
- 17:11Speaker 1: ahead with your insight of the day.
- 17:16Speaker 6: Yeah, this, you know, negativity. There's nothing that can be done. Really?
- 17:25Speaker 1: I think people expect more to be done than what
- 17:29Speaker 1: is being done. I mean, when people are talking about
- 17:31Speaker 1: the $ 40 trillion debt, listen, it's disturbing because it is
- 17:36Speaker 1: strapping this country. It's ridiculous.
- 17:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:41Speaker 6: But you can't go through a good life saying there's
- 17:46Speaker 6: nothing that can be done. Okay, all right, that's a
- 17:50Speaker 6: defeatist attitude, just give up.
- 17:51Speaker 8: Okay, what do I do, close up.
- 17:53Speaker 6: Shop and huddle in my house?
- 17:58Speaker 1: I don't think that's his point. I think his point
- 18:00Speaker 1: is it's sad that nothing's getting done. Something should have
- 18:03Speaker 1: been done long ago, and still nothing is getting done.
- 18:07Speaker 1: You're seeing a $ 40 trillion debt continue to grow. Now
- 18:12Speaker 1: they're finagling to try to keep interest rates down. On
- 18:16Speaker 1: the $ 40 trillion that they owe. But they're still adding
- 18:18Speaker 1: to the debt every day. And interest rates are ticking up. Well,
- 18:23Speaker 1: you've heard this. And instead of if you owed money
- 18:28Speaker 1: and you went from one credit card and put it
- 18:30Speaker 1: on another one, that doesn't solve the problem. It just
- 18:33Speaker 1: delays the inevitable.
- 18:35Speaker 6: It doesn't? Yes, you're absolutely correct. And you know about
- 18:40Speaker 6: compound interest, right?
- 18:42Speaker 9: Well, what happens?
- 18:43Speaker 6: So Trump came in. Now, he didn't get everything right,
- 18:48Speaker 6: but that's what was going to happen. Now, we're still
- 18:51Speaker 6: trying to figure out how we can stop it. I
- 18:55Speaker 6: get it. You don't like this, blah, blah, blah. And
- 18:59Speaker 6: the other guy got me the other day.
- 19:01Speaker 1: Okay, well, wait a second. Pause for a second. I
- 19:04Speaker 1: applauded Elon Musk and what he was doing, where they
- 19:10Speaker 1: were talking almost $ 2 trillion a year in just ridiculous spending.
- 19:15Speaker 1: But what happened to Elon Musk? I mean, he had
- 19:17Speaker 1: the technology and the people, and they destroyed the man. They,
- 19:22Speaker 1: being the Democrat Party, did everything they could do from
- 19:26Speaker 1: terrorizing his customers, firebombing his dealerships, calling him all kinds
- 19:32Speaker 1: of names.
- 19:33Speaker 6: Just regular people's cars, destroying regular people's cars.
- 19:36Speaker 1: So he had to leave his mission to go back
- 19:39Speaker 1: and address his company. And the Democrats view that as
- 19:42Speaker 1: a great victory. And I'm sure some Republicans, too, viewed
- 19:46Speaker 1: it as a great victory because he's gone. And I
- 19:50Speaker 1: thought to myself, you're not going to see anybody else
- 19:53Speaker 1: ever deal with this wasteful spending and expose it like
- 19:58Speaker 1: he was doing. And I bet you plenty of it
- 20:01Speaker 1: is still going on to this day. You've got a
- 20:02Speaker 1: military budget. They can't even complete an audit. That's ridiculous.
- 20:09Speaker 6: And it's everywhere, and it's everything. However, this is the
- 20:14Speaker 6: thing that, I don't know, that I'm looking at and saying, wow,
- 20:18Speaker 6: that lady in Minnesota went to jail, and she's going
- 20:21Speaker 6: to be there for 40 years.
- 20:23Speaker 8: Why?
- 20:24Speaker 4: Because of the fraud.
- 20:25Speaker 6: The fraud that the establishment said didn't exist. Oh, waste, fraud,
- 20:29Speaker 6: and abuse, that doesn't amount to anything. Oh, what did
- 20:34Speaker 6: Ebenezer say one time? Oh, it doesn't amount to a
- 20:37Speaker 6: tinker's dam.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:39Speaker 9: Yes, it does.
- 20:40Speaker 6: That's why we're in the position we're in, because nobody
- 20:42Speaker 6: cares about it except Donald Trump. And what I'm saying
- 20:45Speaker 6: is it's still happening every day. Somebody's going to jail
- 20:49Speaker 6: for fraud, for stealing from the U.S. taxpayers. It's happening.
- 20:55Speaker 6: It never happened in my life. It's happening now. Is
- 20:59Speaker 6: it as fast as we want?
- 21:00Speaker 9: No.
- 21:01Speaker 6: Is it as much as we want? Do we want
- 21:03Speaker 6: them under the jail? Yes. But it's happening now.
- 21:07Speaker 8: It never happened before.
- 21:09Speaker 1: Well, how about this when you're talking about oddities? I
- 21:12Speaker 1: was reading this this morning. The Department of Homeland Security
- 21:15Speaker 1: is calling out Boston Democrat Mayor, this Michelle Wu. She's
- 21:19Speaker 1: the mayor in Boston. They're saying she's unhinged her unhinged
- 21:24Speaker 1: effort to dissuade business owners from from leasing to the U.S.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Immigration and Customs Enforcement in the city. equating to hunting
- 21:32Speaker 1: down private property owners. This is the mayor of Boston.
- 21:37Speaker 1: And I'm reading this thinking, is this person even an American?
- 21:40Speaker 1: I mean, I can't figure this out. After Boston banned
- 21:43Speaker 1: ICE vehicles from using city-owned parking lots to stage operations...
- 21:48Speaker 1: ICE issued a notice seeking to rent hundreds of parking
- 21:51Speaker 1: spaces in the city for five years. In response, Wu
- 21:55Speaker 1: and outspoken opponents of President Donald Trump's immigration enforcement agenda
- 22:00Speaker 1: issued an open letter to parking garages and lot owners
- 22:03Speaker 1: shot Boston in which she revealed the city had submitted
- 22:06Speaker 1: a freedom of information request for any local response to ICE.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Stand by. I want to finish this with you. Hang
- 22:12Speaker 1: on a second. I'll come back to you in a minute.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Caught us in line. Stand by. Ron Verb, Tuesday afternoon
- 22:17Speaker 1: from the Kingdom of Mahoney. News Radio 570 WKVN.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Ron is set at $ 1. 1 million for a woman charged
- 22:27Speaker 2: in the fatal stabbing of a 21-year-old man in Toledo
- 22:30Speaker 2: on Saturday. 46-year-old Sophia Harris is accused of killing Tyler
- 22:34Speaker 2: McKee near Scott High School. McKee later died at the hospital.
- 22:38Speaker 2: There has been no word on a motive. The trial
- 22:41Speaker 2: is underway for a man accused of shooting his co-workers
- 22:44Speaker 2: at a new Albany warehouse. Bruce Foster III is pleading
- 22:47Speaker 2: not guilty by reason of insanity to four counts of
- 22:50Speaker 2: aggravated murder and other charges in connection with the 2025
- 22:54Speaker 2: attack that killed two people and injured four others. All
- 22:58Speaker 2: charges against a former Cincinnati City Council member are being
- 23:01Speaker 2: dismissed after being pardoned by President Trump last year.
- 23:05Speaker 1: P.J.
- 23:05Speaker 2: Sittenfeld had been sentenced to 16 months in prison on
- 23:08Speaker 2: charges of bribery and attempted extortion in 2022. In addition,
- 23:12Speaker 2: the $ 40, 000 fine he paid must be returned.
- 23:16Speaker 1: I'm Andy Betts. Now, Ron Verb on NewsRadio 570 WKBN.
- 23:35Speaker 1: So get a load of this nut job. I just
- 23:38Speaker 1: want to pass this along to Jake here. So you
- 23:40Speaker 1: have this Wu, who's the mayor of Boston, and she
- 23:46Speaker 1: banned ICE vehicles from using any city-owned parking lots to
- 23:49Speaker 1: stage operations. ICE issued a notice seeking to rent hundreds
- 23:52Speaker 1: of parking spaces in the city for five years. In response, Wu,
- 23:56Speaker 1: an outspoken opponent of Trump, In his immigration enforcement agenda,
- 24:00Speaker 1: issued an open letter to parking garages and lot owners
- 24:03Speaker 1: throughout Boston, which she revealed the city had submitted a
- 24:06Speaker 1: freedom of information request for any local response to ICE.
- 24:10Speaker 1: In other words, for any local business who agreed to this,
- 24:14Speaker 1: she put in a Freedom of Information Act. DHS fired
- 24:17Speaker 1: back in an ex post writing that these actions by
- 24:20Speaker 1: Sanctuary Mayor Michelle Wu are unhinged. She knows she has
- 24:24Speaker 1: no authority to block us from using private property, so
- 24:28Speaker 1: she's hunting down private property owners and threatening them for
- 24:31Speaker 1: working with ICE because she'd rather intimidate law-abiding Bostonians than
- 24:36Speaker 1: get criminal aliens off the streets, wrote DHS. ICE issued
- 24:41Speaker 1: a source-sought notice last month for surge parking in 14
- 24:45Speaker 1: cities across the country. The notice revealed ICE was seeking
- 24:48Speaker 1: $ 249, 000 continuous parking spaces in Boston. In response, Wu issued
- 24:54Speaker 1: an official appeal from the city of Boston for garage
- 24:57Speaker 1: and lot owners to reject ICE staging facilities. She wrote
- 25:00Speaker 1: that were ICE to procure such resources, it would constitute
- 25:05Speaker 1: an unprovoked and unwarranted escalation, creating potentially significant risk to
- 25:09Speaker 1: the public safety and halting economic activity across our region.
- 25:13Speaker 1: She boasted that she joined together with six other cities
- 25:17Speaker 1: across greater Boston and signed executive orders prohibiting ICE from
- 25:21Speaker 1: staging its operations on municipal property and parking lots. Today,
- 25:25Speaker 1: I ask you to join us. Reject any proposition by
- 25:28Speaker 1: ICE to facilitate an attack on the people of Boston.
- 25:31Speaker 1: Wu also noted that the same day the city submitted
- 25:34Speaker 1: a FOIA request for any local responses to ICE. She
- 25:37Speaker 1: told the garage and lot owners, we will keep you
- 25:40Speaker 1: updated as we push for a response, adding, thank you
- 25:42Speaker 1: again for your partnership. So this is the mayor of Boston.
- 25:48Speaker 1: I read this article and thought, is this woman even
- 25:51Speaker 1: an American? I mean, that was my initial thing. You
- 25:55Speaker 1: want to do whatever you can do to prevent ICE
- 25:58Speaker 1: from going after people that are in this country illegally,
- 26:01Speaker 1: including people that are in here and have committed criminal
- 26:05Speaker 1: activities that are illegal. You're more concerned about them than people.
- 26:11Speaker 1: That are legally running their parking spaces to ice to
- 26:15Speaker 1: enforce the law. It's just you read this stuff. The
- 26:18Speaker 1: Democrats have just become so damn nutty. I mean, it
- 26:22Speaker 1: is nutty. I mean, this idea of, well, Medicare for all. Well,
- 26:26Speaker 1: wait a minute. You pay into Medicare all your life
- 26:29Speaker 1: and you've got to be 65 before you can get it.
- 26:32Speaker 1: And let's be realistic. Financially, it's not in the best
- 26:35Speaker 1: shape either. But they all want to say Medicare for all. Well,
- 26:38Speaker 1: how are you supposed to pay for all of that
- 26:41Speaker 1: since it's Medicare for all? You no longer have to
- 26:43Speaker 1: make it to 65. You no longer pay– you and
- 26:46Speaker 1: your employer pay into Medicare all your working life. Now
- 26:49Speaker 1: we just want to give it to everybody. I mean
- 26:51Speaker 1: all the Democrats want is more handouts to everything. Keep
- 26:56Speaker 1: the illegal people here. Give them handouts. Let's give Medicare
- 27:00Speaker 1: for all. They are just such– It's such a weird
- 27:05Speaker 1: party anymore. I don't know how, even if you despise Trump,
- 27:09Speaker 1: I don't know how you could vote for any Democrat
- 27:12Speaker 1: based on the platform that they're running on at all.
- 27:16Speaker 10: At all.
- 27:17Speaker 1: And to think Gavin Newsom's a disaster as a governor,
- 27:21Speaker 1: and to think for president, he's a disaster. And AOC
- 27:25Speaker 1: is a nitwit to be president. I mean, like I say,
- 27:30Speaker 1: I look at Ron DeSantis. He's intelligent. He's well-read. His
- 27:33Speaker 1: state is doing well. He runs a great state. I
- 27:36Speaker 1: would love to see him become president. But I think
- 27:39Speaker 1: he's got the credentials for it. Go ahead.
- 27:41Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 27:43Speaker 6: No, you're making my point exactly. And when somebody says
- 27:49Speaker 6: both of these Republicans and Democrats, that's true, except you've
- 27:53Speaker 6: got to work with something. So if 50% of the
- 27:57Speaker 6: Republicans are okay and the rest are John Spoon and
- 28:01Speaker 6: Mitch McConnell, you've got to deal with them because you
- 28:04Speaker 6: can't find 10% of Democrats that are even thinking straight.
- 28:10Speaker 8: We have to pick the pothead.
- 28:13Speaker 6: Stroke victim, John Fetterman, to be the standard bearer of
- 28:18Speaker 6: American values in the Democratic Party. Can you imagine that
- 28:22Speaker 6: three years ago? Can you imagine 10 years ago saying, well,
- 28:26Speaker 6: you know what? My son says he's a girl now,
- 28:29Speaker 6: so we're going to cut his thing off and call
- 28:32Speaker 6: him Jill. And what are you talking about? So with
- 28:37Speaker 6: this whole fight, I know some people are only concerned
- 28:39Speaker 6: about bonds or money or yields or whatever. That's fine.
- 28:43Speaker 6: That's your deal. But I have children, and I have
- 28:47Speaker 6: to be concerned about the whole thing.
- 28:48Speaker 12: All right.
- 28:50Speaker 8: I can't.
- 28:51Speaker 6: I can't have this Democrat Party doing what they're doing.
- 28:54Speaker 1: Oh, no, there's no way I could. I couldn't vote
- 28:57Speaker 1: for Sherrod Brown. Sherrod Brown's running ads like he was
- 29:00Speaker 1: never a senator. He's been around forever and supported all
- 29:03Speaker 1: of this nonsense. He's running ads like he's a newcomer, like, hey,
- 29:06Speaker 1: if I get elected, I'm going to do this. You've
- 29:08Speaker 1: been there forever. I know what you've done, and it
- 29:10Speaker 1: was a disaster. Thank you, Jake. You're on the air.
- 29:14Speaker 9: I am disgusted.
- 29:16Speaker 4: How can you take.
- 29:19Speaker 7: A quarterback....
- 29:21Speaker 6: That has not won any games, and they booed the thing,
- 29:24Speaker 6: and they're going to start him on the opening day
- 29:28Speaker 6: of the Browns games.
- 29:31Speaker 8: What do you think?
- 29:32Speaker 1: I don't know. What do I think? I think it's
- 29:36Speaker 1: damn disappointing is what I think.
- 29:38Speaker 3: It is.
- 29:39Speaker 1: And I was looking. The Guardians won last night, right? Yeah,
- 29:43Speaker 1: they're doing, oh, this is the run they better do.
- 29:46Speaker 9: This is good, you know?
- 29:47Speaker 1: I think they're only, what, two and a half games out?
- 29:49Speaker 13: Two and a half games out.
- 29:51Speaker 1: And last night I was listening as I was laying
- 29:54Speaker 1: in the rack. I was listening to the Guardians game.
- 29:58Speaker 1: And I made it to the final, but then.
- 30:02Speaker 1: I didn't make it to the postgame show because it
- 30:04Speaker 1: was like lights out. It was pretty late, wasn't it? Yes,
- 30:07Speaker 1: but at least they won, and they're two and a
- 30:10Speaker 1: half games out. So they're on the comeback trail, and
- 30:14Speaker 1: let's hope they continue to do that. I can't even
- 30:17Speaker 1: think about the Browns right now, other than how disappointing
- 30:20Speaker 1: that is.
- 30:21Speaker 7: It is.
- 30:23Speaker 9: I waited. I waited.
- 30:25Speaker 1: I tried to call three times.
- 30:27Speaker 13: I was on hold, but I guess that.
- 30:29Speaker 1: Everybody, their frustration. Nobody likes it. It's frustrating. So I'm hoping,
- 30:37Speaker 1: let's see, YSU has a game Thursday. Thursday? I'm hoping
- 30:42Speaker 1: for a good football season from YSU. Hard to imagine
- 30:45Speaker 1: it's already football season. I mean, it's high school and
- 30:49Speaker 1: YSU football. It's already football season. And I'm looking, thinking,
- 30:53Speaker 1: where did summer go? And when the Canfield Fair is
- 30:57Speaker 1: here in the beginning of September, that's the official end
- 31:00Speaker 1: in my neck of the woods. All right. Do you
- 31:02Speaker 1: think Ohio State will be good this year? Usually.
- 31:09Speaker 8: Okay.
- 31:10Speaker 3: Maybe.
- 31:11Speaker 9: Have a good day, buddy.
- 31:12Speaker 1: I don't know. It's hard to predict on any of
- 31:14Speaker 1: that stuff. You're on air.
- 31:22Speaker 7: Hey, good afternoon.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Good afternoon to you, too.
- 31:25Speaker 7: Hey, what are you doing? Some construction around you or something, huh?
- 31:30Speaker 1: Construction around me? We got construction going on everywhere around me.
- 31:35Speaker 1: I mean, I don't care where you go on 680.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Everything's a nightmare as far as construction. The only good
- 31:42Speaker 1: news I can report is they finally got that bridge
- 31:44Speaker 1: open on 224 before the fair got here. That had
- 31:48Speaker 1: been closed for a couple of years when they were closed.
- 31:51Speaker 1: redoing the bridge so that's that's finally done but there's
- 31:55Speaker 1: detours and i don't care if it's a freeway or
- 31:58Speaker 1: locally all over the place it's a it's a pain
- 32:01Speaker 1: in the.
- 32:01Speaker 7: Arse well think about it well we won't be here
- 32:04Speaker 7: for the 20 more years we'll be doing it.
- 32:05Speaker 1: Again well there you go there you.
- 32:09Speaker 7: Go i don't know about this it's when i talk
- 32:13Speaker 7: to younger people of course that's a lot.
- 32:18Speaker 1: But well define a younger person they don't.
- 32:20Speaker 7: Know what to think anymore You got one on one
- 32:22Speaker 7: side saying no, the other one on the other side
- 32:25Speaker 7: saying we're trying to help you. And then neither one
- 32:27Speaker 7: of them have got a way to help the people
- 32:30Speaker 7: out without having to spend so damn much money doing it.
- 32:34Speaker 1: Well, isn't that what the problem is? Listen, I think
- 32:37Speaker 1: it's a problem of Democrats and Republicans. I mean, we're
- 32:41Speaker 1: $ 40 trillion and growing in debt, and Trump's growing in
- 32:43Speaker 1: debt at astronomical amounts right now. And it's like, well,
- 32:47Speaker 1: wait a minute. Exactly when are you going to... work
- 32:51Speaker 1: on spending less money and getting rid of this burden
- 32:56Speaker 1: you're putting on all of us now as far as
- 32:58Speaker 1: how many of our tax dollars go to paying the
- 33:03Speaker 1: interest on it alone. I don't see any desire from
- 33:06Speaker 1: any of these people in politics to do a single
- 33:09Speaker 1: damn thing about it other than stay the course, which
- 33:12Speaker 1: is a nightmare.
- 33:14Speaker 7: You're right. It's a total nightmare. We need to vote
- 33:16Speaker 7: the Democrats out. We need to vote the Republicans out. But,
- 33:19Speaker 7: I mean, in this last newscast, did you hear where
- 33:22Speaker 7: Trump said it was okay to let this guy out
- 33:24Speaker 7: of jail and give him back his money that he
- 33:26Speaker 7: had to pay on a fine? What kind of nonsense
- 33:28Speaker 7: is that?
- 33:30Speaker 1: I missed it.
- 33:31Speaker 8: But.
- 33:35Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean, it's if you're asking me
- 33:39Speaker 1: once again, I tell you, I will vote for Republicans
- 33:41Speaker 1: over Democrats. The Democrats agenda is just too crazy for me.
- 33:46Speaker 1: I mean, I do not go along with this. We
- 33:48Speaker 1: can't tell you what a woman is. I don't go
- 33:50Speaker 1: along with the transgender stuff. I don't go along with
- 33:52Speaker 1: their social agenda at all. I don't go along with
- 33:56Speaker 1: their immigration standard at all. I don't I don't agree
- 34:00Speaker 1: with them on law enforcement. I nice. I don't agree
- 34:03Speaker 1: with him on anything, really. I mean, Medicare for all.
- 34:07Speaker 1: I don't buy any of the crap that they're peddling.
- 34:10Speaker 1: And so I can't vote for any. Democrats on the scene.
- 34:15Speaker 1: So I will vote for Republicans, even if they're the
- 34:18Speaker 1: lesser two evils, which, if I think about it, has
- 34:21Speaker 1: been how I voted most of my life. Never enthusiastically
- 34:24Speaker 1: for anyone, with the exception of Ross Perot and Donald Trump.
- 34:28Speaker 1: But outside of that, and maybe Reagan, I should say,
- 34:31Speaker 1: outside of that, I haven't enthusiastically voted. It's usually the
- 34:35Speaker 1: lesser two evils, for the most part.
- 34:38Speaker 7: That's a crying shame, ain't it?
- 34:40Speaker 1: You too.
- 34:41Speaker 7: Vote for the lesser of the two evils. But if
- 34:44Speaker 7: you take a look at it, as the conversations I've
- 34:48Speaker 7: had with other people, one is spending so much money,
- 34:51Speaker 7: we'll never get out of debt by doing what they
- 34:54Speaker 7: do with the tax breaks and everything else. And then
- 34:57Speaker 7: when they come right down to it, they turn right
- 34:59Speaker 7: around and they keep adding more and more to it.
- 35:01Speaker 7: And the other side, they want to do things, but
- 35:05Speaker 7: you don't see Trump trying to build anything that's in
- 35:09Speaker 7: the infrastructure in which he claims he would make Eisenhower
- 35:14Speaker 7: blush if he were to do it when Biden wanted
- 35:17Speaker 7: to do it.
- 35:20Speaker 1: Sometimes I get... It is wearing thin on me, some
- 35:23Speaker 1: of the just bullcrap that Trump spews. First of all,
- 35:27Speaker 1: I don't want to hear his name on everything. I mean,
- 35:31Speaker 1: I get tired of that. But some of the... Some
- 35:36Speaker 1: of the stuff he says, you notice that a lot
- 35:38Speaker 1: of these countries aren't taking them very serious anymore. They're
- 35:41Speaker 1: not taking them too serious at all, just based on
- 35:45Speaker 1: this situation in Iran. We're going to do this. Well,
- 35:48Speaker 1: then we don't do that. We're going to bomb them
- 35:50Speaker 1: back to the Stone Age. Well, then we stop that.
- 35:54Speaker 1: Now we're doing this economic time bomb. Well, I think
- 35:57Speaker 1: the economic time bomb's going off in the USA, too.
- 36:01Speaker 7: Well, you're right about that. But that economic time bomb
- 36:04Speaker 7: that he's talking about, was already implemented by three or
- 36:09Speaker 7: four presidents ago. And now he says he's going to
- 36:12Speaker 7: do more. How much more are you going to do?
- 36:13Speaker 7: That country don't care.
- 36:15Speaker 1: It seemed to me that that bunker buster that he
- 36:18Speaker 1: dropped did the job. And that should have been the
- 36:21Speaker 1: end of it. It did the job. Keep this, the, the, the,
- 36:25Speaker 1: the straight was open. Keep that agreement that Obama negotiated,
- 36:28Speaker 1: because some of the stuff that you would see with the,
- 36:32Speaker 1: that he wanted to negotiate the Trump deal, I thought
- 36:36Speaker 1: was a worse deal than what Obama negotiated.
- 36:39Speaker 7: Well, I'm glad to hear you say that, because I
- 36:41Speaker 7: felt the same way. But what gets me is, everybody's
- 36:46Speaker 7: complaining about the high prices, and they're trying to blame
- 36:49Speaker 7: Iran for the whole thing. It all went back to
- 36:51Speaker 7: his tariffs, and now the dollar, the measure of the
- 36:54Speaker 7: dollar bill throughout the world economy is dropping fast and hard.
- 36:59Speaker 7: China's over there going, yeah, keep it up, baby. Keep
- 37:01Speaker 7: it up, baby. By the time you get done, I'll
- 37:05Speaker 7: have the whole world talking to me.
- 37:07Speaker 1: Well, he's in a pissing match now with Canada, of
- 37:11Speaker 1: all places. I mean, I don't know about it. We
- 37:13Speaker 1: get a lot of oil from Canada, and we get
- 37:15Speaker 1: a lot of lumber out of Canada.
- 37:17Speaker 7: And a lot of other things.
- 37:18Speaker 13: Right.
- 37:19Speaker 1: And it's like, this is the country we should be...
- 37:23Speaker 1: I don't understand. I get it if you're going after
- 37:25Speaker 1: China or Vietnam or India, these slave wage nation countries,
- 37:30Speaker 1: but Canada?
- 37:33Speaker 7: It amazes me. Canada's A1. They're not going to do that.
- 37:38Speaker 7: They're not going to put all the people. They want
- 37:39Speaker 7: to keep their people working, so they keep them in
- 37:41Speaker 7: the factories. Here in the United States, we've got to
- 37:43Speaker 7: have it so we can keep on going. If you
- 37:46Speaker 7: turn around and look at all these other countries... They're managing,
- 37:51Speaker 7: but they've changed their whole economic structure to stay away
- 37:55Speaker 7: from Trump and the United States, and it's only going
- 37:58Speaker 7: to hurt us in the end. It's going to take
- 38:01Speaker 7: us 30, 40 years to get back on track again
- 38:03Speaker 7: for people in these countries to trust us.
- 38:08Speaker 1: I don't know if that's going to be the case
- 38:09Speaker 1: or not. It's just a... In all seriousness, I look
- 38:13Speaker 1: around as an American. Forget Democrat or Republican. I can't
- 38:16Speaker 1: vote for any of the wacky Democrat socialists. But if
- 38:19Speaker 1: you're asking me, are things a mess? The answer to
- 38:23Speaker 1: that is absolutely yes. And do I think many of
- 38:25Speaker 1: these people that are making the decisions are totally oblivious
- 38:29Speaker 1: to the situation that they put us all in as Americans?
- 38:32Speaker 1: I think that they... They just stay the course, continue to,
- 38:38Speaker 1: they don't cut spending. And at what point do they say, okay,
- 38:42Speaker 1: well now we've got to cut it or do something drastic.
- 38:44Speaker 1: Now we'll go after everybody on Social Security or we'll
- 38:47Speaker 1: go after everything on Medicare. And there are going to
- 38:51Speaker 1: be a lot of pissed off people, and justifiably so,
- 38:54Speaker 1: when that happens with these morons.
- 38:57Speaker 7: Well, you know, it surprises me is that the Supreme
- 39:02Speaker 7: Court is allowed to make up any ruling it wants.
- 39:05Speaker 7: As long as it goes along with Trump.
- 39:08Speaker 1: Well, I don't know about that.
- 39:09Speaker 7: There's so many different things out there, like this voting thing.
- 39:13Speaker 1: They roll against Trump, too. Here's my thing with the
- 39:16Speaker 1: Supreme Court. This is where I disagree with you. See,
- 39:18Speaker 1: he wins some and he loses some. And he's lost
- 39:21Speaker 1: some and he wins some. I just want a Supreme
- 39:23Speaker 1: Court that sits there and rules on the constitutionality of it.
- 39:27Speaker 1: And I think in general, you have that. In general,
- 39:31Speaker 1: you shouldn't have an active Supreme Court when they make
- 39:36Speaker 1: these rulings. Do you want me to lose faith in
- 39:40Speaker 1: the voting system? Do you think I sit and say, oh,
- 39:44Speaker 1: this is a great idea. Let's mail everybody out a ballot.
- 39:47Speaker 1: They don't have to request it like they do in
- 39:49Speaker 1: Colorado and California. So the person could be dead. They
- 39:53Speaker 1: could have moved. You don't know who's voting it. I mean,
- 39:56Speaker 1: I think that's just a system open to fraud. And
- 39:59Speaker 1: you're right in this idea to say, let's secure our
- 40:02Speaker 1: mail in vote voting system. I'm for that because as
- 40:06Speaker 1: a voter, I want to make sure my vote counts
- 40:09Speaker 1: and don't make me lose faith. in my voting system
- 40:13Speaker 1: because I'm losing more and more faith in the court
- 40:15Speaker 1: system because it's becoming too political.
- 40:18Speaker 7: Well, you know, I just talked to the voting people
- 40:23Speaker 7: here in Trumbull County, and I asked them about it
- 40:26Speaker 7: because I went for my mail-in ballot, and I come back,
- 40:31Speaker 7: and I'm getting this letter stating They want us to
- 40:34Speaker 7: mail in a ballot when I already did it through
- 40:36Speaker 7: you guys.
- 40:37Speaker 1: Hang on.
- 40:38Speaker 8: Hang on.
- 40:39Speaker 1: Stand by. Let me do my break. I'll come back
- 40:40Speaker 1: to you. Ron Furb from the kingdom of Mahoning on
- 40:42Speaker 1: News Radio 570 WKBN at 352. I heart radio. 570 WKBN. Okay,
- 40:51Speaker 1: let me go back to him for a second. I'm
- 40:53Speaker 1: always intrigued by you. And I can't explain, and I
- 40:56Speaker 1: don't know that. How would you define yourself? Would you
- 40:59Speaker 1: define your, I know you're an American, would you be
- 41:02Speaker 1: more conservative or liberal?
- 41:07Speaker 7: See, that's a hard question. Liberal, if it's going to
- 41:10Speaker 7: help out people in the future. Conservative, when it looks
- 41:15Speaker 7: like you're going to spend money on something that is
- 41:20Speaker 7: stupid and or in the end won't really do the
- 41:24Speaker 7: job that it was supposed to do.
- 41:26Speaker 1: Okay, so let me go back on that. So you're
- 41:30Speaker 1: not a liberal that says there aren't people that don't
- 41:33Speaker 1: need a good kick in the ass and realize they're
- 41:35Speaker 1: in a great country to do something with their life.
- 41:38Speaker 1: You're not the liberal guy that thinks just because you
- 41:41Speaker 1: don't put any effort forth, we should take care of
- 41:43Speaker 1: you because you're lazy, do you?
- 41:46Speaker 6: No.
- 41:46Speaker 8: No.
- 41:47Speaker 7: I'm not one of them. I wouldn't be where I'm
- 41:50Speaker 7: at today.
- 41:51Speaker 1: I mean, for example, when I think of a liberal thing,
- 41:56Speaker 1: here would be an example. Once somebody has lost all
- 42:00Speaker 1: of their assets, and unfortunately they're in a nursing home,
- 42:04Speaker 1: that's when Medicaid steps in to cover that bill because
- 42:07Speaker 1: they don't have anything left. Many people would say that's
- 42:10Speaker 1: a liberal program, but in essence, what other options are there?
- 42:13Speaker 1: You follow me? So you would be for something like that,
- 42:17Speaker 1: but you wouldn't be for saying to some 25-year-old kid
- 42:20Speaker 1: that's of work age that doesn't have any problems, we're
- 42:24Speaker 1: going to give you health care and sit at home
- 42:25Speaker 1: and play video games. You don't buy into that crap, correct?
- 42:29Speaker 7: Yeah, I agree with you 100%, but Medicaid's kind of
- 42:32Speaker 7: a little of a trick there, if I understand it
- 42:35Speaker 7: at all, which is confusing to me at times. You
- 42:39Speaker 7: go on Medicaid before you go on Social Security.
- 42:42Speaker 9: No, you don't.
- 42:43Speaker 1: No, you don't. No, you do not. You know, usually,
- 42:47Speaker 1: usually you go on, you're on Social Security. Well, wait
- 42:51Speaker 1: a minute. You're on private, your employer's insurance till you
- 42:54Speaker 1: reach Medicare age. You're not on Medicaid. Medicaid's for poor people.
- 42:59Speaker 1: And it's often abused. I mean, what I'm saying to
- 43:02Speaker 1: you is I don't picture you as a liberal that
- 43:04Speaker 1: thinks just because you're lazy or don't want to do
- 43:07Speaker 1: anything that we should cover you with health care because
- 43:09Speaker 1: you won't get off your ass and go get a
- 43:11Speaker 1: job like the rest of us. Is that a fair
- 43:13Speaker 1: assessment of you?
- 43:15Speaker 14: Yes.
- 43:16Speaker 7: And you know what I tell them kind of people
- 43:17Speaker 7: that sit there and complain and piss and moan and
- 43:20Speaker 7: don't want to do anything but collect pay? Wait till
- 43:24Speaker 7: you reach the age that you can finally go on
- 43:29Speaker 7: Social Security and Medicare fully. And guess what? You're not
- 43:34Speaker 7: going to have anything. You're still going to be needing help.
- 43:37Speaker 1: Because you haven't put any effort forth. All right, stand
- 43:40Speaker 1: by for me. Stand by. Just hang in there for
- 43:42Speaker 1: a minute. I'm going to get to know this guy.
- 43:44Speaker 1: And I'll get to more of your calls in a bit.
- 43:46Speaker 1: News Radio 570 WKBN. It's Bill Wills with Michael Klavan,
- 43:50Speaker 1: senior of the Klavan Auto Stores.

- 44:58Speaker 1: This is a Fox News alert.
- 45:06Speaker 16: Shockwaves across America. I'm Lisa Brady. The tributes only just
- 45:17Speaker 16: beginning for Dolly Parton. Her family says the legendary entertainer
- 45:20Speaker 16: died peacefully today in Nashville.
- 45:23Speaker 1: She was 80. I'm really shocked.
- 45:25Speaker 8: And to me, it feels like the death of Elvis Presley.
- 45:29Speaker 9: It really does.
- 45:30Speaker 16: Singer-songwriter Don McLean telling Fox, Parton was tough as nails
- 45:33Speaker 16: with a lot of class and worked hard.
- 45:35Speaker 8: She valued the opportunity she was getting.
- 45:39Speaker 1: Because she grew up with very bleak horizons.
- 45:43Speaker 16: Parton was the fourth of 12 children growing up in
- 45:46Speaker 16: a one-room cabin. She started writing songs in grade school
- 45:49Speaker 16: and left for Nashville the day after graduating from high school.
- 45:56Speaker 17: Parton's first shot at stardom came when she joined the
- 45:58Speaker 17: Porter Wagoner Show in 1967.
- 46:02Speaker 18: I was lucky that I got a chance to be
- 46:04Speaker 18: that exposed to that many people at one time, and
- 46:07Speaker 18: that was really what kind of shot me up there
- 46:10Speaker 18: and got me a good grip.
- 46:12Speaker 17: While on the show, Parton decided to pursue her career
- 46:15Speaker 17: as a solo artist. And in 1971, debuted her first
- 46:19Speaker 17: number one solo hit, Joshua, followed by other chart toppers
- 46:23Speaker 17: like Love is Like a Butterfly, I Will Always Love You,
- 46:26Speaker 17: and the legendary Jolene.
- 46:28Speaker 16: Fox's Alexis McAdams, Parton's husband of nearly 59 years, Carl Dean,
- 46:33Speaker 16: died last year. President Trump is ordering flags lowered for
- 46:36Speaker 16: one week in her honor. Fighting tariffs with tariffs. Canada
- 46:41Speaker 16: hitting some U.S. goods with higher costs, including steel, set
- 46:44Speaker 16: to take effect next month. Retaliating for higher U.S. tariffs
- 46:48Speaker 16: after trade talks broke down. But stocks finish higher. The
- 46:52Speaker 16: Dow up 160 points at the bell. The S &
- 46:55Speaker 16: P and the Nasdaq also in the green. America is

- 48:25Speaker 1: This report is sponsored by Staples. All right, it's officially the... Now,
- 48:30Speaker 1: Ron Verb. On News Radio 570, WKBN. Good afternoon. 4.05
- 48:37Speaker 1: in the afternoon. Lovely looking Tuesday afternoon. It's 81 degrees.
- 48:41Speaker 1: So I'm just trying to get a read on this
- 48:43Speaker 1: guy who calls. And I tell you why, because I'm
- 48:46Speaker 1: intrigued by his voice and all that kind of stuff.
- 48:49Speaker 1: So I established that you're not a flaming liberal and
- 48:52Speaker 1: you're a common sense American. And more I would say
- 48:58Speaker 1: you're more conservative than you are liberal. In other words,
- 49:01Speaker 1: we shouldn't be given health care out to some 25.
- 49:03Speaker 1: There's plenty of people that are lazy and need a
- 49:06Speaker 1: kick in the ass to go to work as you did.
- 49:09Speaker 1: And but there are some people that do need assistance
- 49:11Speaker 1: when all your money's gone and you still got to
- 49:14Speaker 1: stay in a nursing home because of your health. That's
- 49:17Speaker 1: what we talked to before we got any further in
- 49:23Speaker 1: our discussion. Now, let me go further with you. In
- 49:25Speaker 1: your lifetime, would you say most of the time you voted,
- 49:30Speaker 1: you voted for the lesser two evils, that it wasn't
- 49:32Speaker 1: really enthusiasm to vote for president over the years and senator?
- 49:39Speaker 1: more congressmen even?
- 49:41Speaker 7: Well, that's a tough question. Now that you're asking me that,
- 49:46Speaker 7: I'm beginning to go into the recesses of my feeble mind.
- 49:52Speaker 7: But I can remember I voted for Reagan the first
- 49:54Speaker 7: time but not the second time for what he wanted
- 49:56Speaker 7: to do with the military and Social Security and Medicare.
- 49:59Speaker 7: He thought that was a handout. So I didn't vote
- 50:01Speaker 7: for him the second time. When Bush Sr. went in,
- 50:04Speaker 7: I voted for him. But he didn't make it because
- 50:07Speaker 7: of Clinton's But Clinton somehow did a bunch of things,
- 50:10Speaker 7: and the economy came back up. There was so much
- 50:13Speaker 7: involved there.
- 50:14Speaker 9: Well, then, it.
- 50:17Speaker 7: Just amazes me that there are times I've had to vote.
- 50:20Speaker 7: I voted Republican, and then there were other times I
- 50:23Speaker 7: voted for the lesser of two evils because it was
- 50:26Speaker 7: not going the way that was going to help out
- 50:28Speaker 7: the American people.
- 50:29Speaker 8: Mm-hmm.
- 50:31Speaker 1: In other words, you would vote for who you thought
- 50:35Speaker 1: was the best, the choice that made the most sense
- 50:38Speaker 1: to you as far as America first.
- 50:42Speaker 7: Yes. I'm an open-minded person. I'm a free thinker.
- 50:47Speaker 1: All right.
- 50:48Speaker 7: And I look to see what's going on and which
- 50:50Speaker 7: way this guy or this woman represented herself and how
- 50:54Speaker 7: she talked or he talked. And then I decided from
- 50:57Speaker 7: there and how their actions were when they were in
- 51:02Speaker 7: in doing what they're doing. And I just, to get
- 51:05Speaker 7: the political, you're bidding a job. You put your name
- 51:10Speaker 7: out there, I'd like to have this position. Actually, you're
- 51:13Speaker 7: trying to fill out a bid. So to get the
- 51:16Speaker 7: most qualified, sometimes you just don't get the most qualified.
- 51:21Speaker 1: Right, or you get people that are usually fib to
- 51:24Speaker 1: try to get you to vote for them, or very
- 51:27Speaker 1: liberal people try to act like they're more moderate so
- 51:31Speaker 1: that they can get elected, then they go back to
- 51:32Speaker 1: being liberal. Like, for example, when you see the Democrats
- 51:35Speaker 1: pushing Gavin Newsom or AOC for presidents, like I say,
- 51:40Speaker 1: Gavin Newsom is a disaster as governor, and AOC's a nitwit.
- 51:45Speaker 1: I mean, do you view it the same way? I mean,
- 51:47Speaker 1: I can't see that... That's not even a choice to me.
- 51:52Speaker 7: Well, this is my thing on Gavin Newsom. The state
- 51:57Speaker 7: of California alone, if on its own self has a
- 52:04Speaker 7: GDP bigger than the whole, almost bigger than any other state,
- 52:09Speaker 7: any bunch of states, In the United States.
- 52:12Speaker 1: Yeah, but they got the... There's just going on.
- 52:14Speaker 7: You can't get that way without leadership of some sort
- 52:17Speaker 7: from the government.
- 52:18Speaker 1: Right, but look at the disaster it's in. Look at
- 52:21Speaker 1: the taxes. Look at the... Look at the... projects that
- 52:25Speaker 1: aren't finished, and the money that's spent. I mean, if
- 52:28Speaker 1: you want to look at it from that standpoint, it
- 52:30Speaker 1: is an absolute disaster. I mean, I would just say this.
- 52:34Speaker 1: Compare Florida to California, and you'll see what I think
- 52:39Speaker 1: is sad is a guy like DeSantis' term limited out.
- 52:42Speaker 1: I think he's a great governor. I think he'd make
- 52:44Speaker 1: a great president. I'd enthusiastically vote for DeSantis. You can't
- 52:48Speaker 1: say that about Gavin Newsom. I mean, his state, people
- 52:52Speaker 1: are leaving, the taxes are high, you've got all these
- 52:54Speaker 1: projects that aren't finished, you've got all the fraud that's
- 52:58Speaker 1: going on, and basically he's a snake oil salesman. He'll
- 53:01Speaker 1: tell you whatever you want to hear to get elected.
- 53:03Speaker 1: He stands for nothing. He thinks he should be elected
- 53:05Speaker 1: because he thinks he's a pretty boy, and AOC thinks
- 53:08Speaker 1: she should get elected because you want to have sex
- 53:11Speaker 1: with her. That's what she thinks. I'm telling you, that's how.
- 53:20Speaker 7: If you take a look at the state of California
- 53:22Speaker 7: with all the earthly disasters, the fires and the rains
- 53:26Speaker 7: and everything else, a lot of money had to be
- 53:29Speaker 7: diverted to clean this up. So the money he has
- 53:32Speaker 7: allocated and set aside, or the government state of California
- 53:37Speaker 7: set aside to get these projects done, had to be
- 53:39Speaker 7: either stopped so that they could take that money to
- 53:43Speaker 7: help rebuild the state of California. This is parts that
- 53:46Speaker 7: you don't and a lot of people don't know and realize.
- 53:49Speaker 1: Oh, I know this much. It would be a cold
- 53:52Speaker 1: day in hell before I would vote for Gavin Newsom.
- 53:55Speaker 1: I would be shocked if it almost sounds like you're
- 53:58Speaker 1: defending him and you would consider voting for him. Under
- 54:01Speaker 1: no circumstances would I ever vote for that lion conniving nitwit.
- 54:06Speaker 1: I mean, Ron DeSantis, there's no question about it. Rubio's
- 54:11Speaker 1: somewhat impressive with what he's doing, but... And listen, I'm
- 54:17Speaker 1: not totally disappointed in Trump. He's disappointed in me lately,
- 54:20Speaker 1: but he did secure the border. He was getting it
- 54:22Speaker 1: and still continues to get a lot of people out
- 54:24Speaker 1: of here. He's done a lot of things that I
- 54:26Speaker 1: agree with. He's got a big mess he had to
- 54:28Speaker 1: clean up and a lot of the inflation. But I
- 54:31Speaker 1: don't let him off the hook. I mean, you know,
- 54:33Speaker 1: as far as he gave out a lot of checks
- 54:35Speaker 1: during COVID, and I've been disappointed in him lately. But
- 54:42Speaker 1: we shall see what the outcome of this is. We
- 54:46Speaker 1: shall see. For example, the old story is they said
- 54:50Speaker 1: when it came time to kill Osama bin Laden to Obama,
- 54:54Speaker 1: they said, well, this could go. Joe Biden advised against it,
- 54:58Speaker 1: against killing Osama bin Laden to Obama. And he said,
- 55:04Speaker 1: you could cost you your presidency. And Obama said, doesn't matter.
- 55:08Speaker 1: We're going to do it anyway. And so there's something
- 55:13Speaker 1: positive you could say about Obama, and some people are
- 55:15Speaker 1: saying the same thing about Trump. This could cost Trump
- 55:17Speaker 1: his presidency and his legacy, but Trump feels that this
- 55:21Speaker 1: is so necessary to do that he's willing to risk
- 55:24Speaker 1: it for that and for the betterment of the world,
- 55:29Speaker 1: I guess. We shall see. We shall see what the
- 55:31Speaker 1: outcome of that is. I don't happen to fall in
- 55:33Speaker 1: that camp, but I could be wrong.
- 55:35Speaker 7: If you take a look at what's going on, He
- 55:39Speaker 7: went in there, bought them, and then Trump kept going
- 55:41Speaker 7: after them. The 11th most powerful military in the world.
- 55:46Speaker 9: In the world.
- 55:47Speaker 7: Do you think these people are just sitting back and
- 55:49Speaker 7: they don't care? But he had no plans. This is
- 55:54Speaker 7: why we're having, this is why we've lost, I think
- 55:57Speaker 7: it was what, 10? 11 military bases over in the
- 56:00Speaker 7: Middle East? Because he didn't have the foresight or listen
- 56:04Speaker 7: to anybody to tell him, we need to protect those places.
- 56:08Speaker 7: And they got bombed and hundreds of people got hurt.
- 56:13Speaker 7: I imagine that I couldn't even tell you how many
- 56:15Speaker 7: have died because the numbers aren't out there because he's
- 56:18Speaker 7: not letting you see it.
- 56:19Speaker 1: Are you disappointed in Trump currently?
- 56:27Speaker 7: With all due respect, I voted for him the first time.
- 56:31Speaker 7: Halfway through that, his first term of president, I said,
- 56:35Speaker 7: what in the hell is this guy doing? He's not
- 56:38Speaker 7: helping America out. He's only helping the rich and himself.
- 56:42Speaker 7: So when it came down to this second time, I
- 56:44Speaker 7: just sat back and watched how everything started folding up
- 56:48Speaker 7: around him. He always imagined himself when he went to
- 56:52Speaker 7: military school because his dad sent him there so that
- 56:54Speaker 7: he could get some sort of sense of responsibility and
- 56:58Speaker 7: attitude in how to be. He threw his whole thing,
- 57:02Speaker 7: even when you talk to the classmates that have been interviewed,
- 57:04Speaker 7: They said he thought he should have been a captain
- 57:06Speaker 7: for everything. And when you listen to his conversations about
- 57:10Speaker 7: Putin and other communist countries, he admired them because those
- 57:17Speaker 7: people had control. What he didn't realize is they didn't.
- 57:22Speaker 7: They still had people they had to go to to
- 57:25Speaker 7: get what they wanted done, and they didn't always get
- 57:28Speaker 7: what they wanted.
- 57:29Speaker 1: So I would assume, based on what you said, you
- 57:30Speaker 1: voted for Biden a second time.
- 57:34Speaker 9: I would have, yes.
- 57:37Speaker 1: All right, but you didn't, but you would have.
- 57:40Speaker 7: Yes, you're correct.
- 57:42Speaker 14: All right.
- 57:42Speaker 7: Well, you know, Biden screwed up. He kept letting these
- 57:48Speaker 7: people come in the country, and he kept saying, time
- 57:51Speaker 7: and time again through his four years, I've got to
- 57:53Speaker 7: get Congress to work together. They've got to work together.
- 57:58Speaker 7: Many a time he kept saying that. And then when
- 58:00Speaker 7: the time came when he finally had them almost work together...
- 58:04Speaker 7: And they were going to do something about it with
- 58:05Speaker 7: all the money and people and resources that Biden put
- 58:09Speaker 7: on the border and all around. He turned right around
- 58:12Speaker 7: and says, no, no, no, you can't do that. I've
- 58:13Speaker 7: got to have something to bitch about. So they shut
- 58:16Speaker 7: it down. They were ready to sign it and send
- 58:18Speaker 7: it to Biden.
- 58:20Speaker 1: You don't sit back and say Trump accomplished that without
- 58:22Speaker 1: doing any of that stuff. None of that stuff was
- 58:25Speaker 1: really necessary. Trump closed the border and started getting people
- 58:27Speaker 1: out of here, and he didn't need to do any
- 58:28Speaker 1: of that stuff. It didn't require any of that nonsense
- 58:31Speaker 1: at all. It was really an attitude thing. All right,
- 58:37Speaker 1: I'll get to know you better next time. But I'm
- 58:39Speaker 1: getting there. I'm getting there. You're a walking contradiction, partly
- 58:43Speaker 1: truth and partly fiction. You're conservative and yet you're liberal.
- 58:47Speaker 1: But I'm going to figure you out. I'm going to
- 58:49Speaker 1: do some psychological analysis. I'm writing things down here from
- 58:54Speaker 1: my psychology classes in college. I'm doing a diagnosis of you.
- 58:58Speaker 7: I got one more thing I'd like to say.
- 59:00Speaker 1: Yes, go ahead, please.
- 59:01Speaker 7: They put in that mail-in ballot thing, and he's fighting that.
- 59:04Speaker 7: That's wrong. It should be in the Constitution.
- 59:08Speaker 1: No.
- 59:09Speaker 7: The state should have to run it, but even if
- 59:11Speaker 7: it's federal, even if it's federal, it didn't have any distinction,
- 59:15Speaker 7: federal or state. But I sent for my ballot like
- 59:18Speaker 7: I normally do, and I got my paperwork and sent
- 59:22Speaker 7: it all in, got all that nice, pretty stuff done.
- 59:24Speaker 1: Well, Ohio's a pretty.
- 59:28Speaker 1: You're in Ohio. Ohio runs our elections pretty good. He's
- 59:31Speaker 1: concerned about all these other states with mail-in ballots, like
- 59:34Speaker 1: I say, that are mailing out ballots to everybody, even
- 59:36Speaker 1: if you don't request it, and the fraud that goes
- 59:39Speaker 1: on there. I've got to pause. I appreciate it.
- 59:41Speaker 7: Let me finish this part.
- 59:42Speaker 1: I don't really.
- 59:43Speaker 7: Which way I'm going.
- 59:45Speaker 9: Which way are you going?
- 59:45Speaker 7: It'll only make your write-up about me crazy.
- 59:49Speaker 1: I've already done this.
- 59:50Speaker 7: I went to the state, did everything the state wanted
- 59:52Speaker 7: me to do, and then I get letters in the
- 59:54Speaker 7: mail like I have for the past elections. We sign
- 59:59Speaker 7: up for mail-in ballot. So when I call the voting
- 1:00:01Speaker 7: place down here and warn, they come back and say, yeah.
- 1:00:06Speaker 7: They stated that the state sends them out, and both
- 1:00:11Speaker 7: parties are sending them out. She says, I don't know why.
- 1:00:14Speaker 7: It's a waste.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: I don't understand that at all. Usually you request it.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: Both parties don't send them out. The ballot has to
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: be sent out by the Board of Elections. All right.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: Thanks for your call. You're on the air.
- 1:00:25Speaker 8: Hello.
- 1:00:27Speaker 4: Hello there.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: Hello. How are you doing? I'm deeply saddened by the
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: passing of Dolly Parton.
- 1:00:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I heard that on the radio earlier today. I
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: just tuned in to you, but I was... She was...
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: You have to give people like that, because you don't
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: know how you would react. I grew up in an average.
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: You know, average kid in an average household, but she
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: grew up in poverty. And, you know, you have to
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: give people credit that literally pulled themselves up by their
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: bootstraps and say, you know, I'm not going to let
- 1:01:07Speaker 4: this define me. And, you know, there's numerous instances of
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: of athletes and other people that I've always admired in
- 1:01:14Speaker 4: my life that, that, uh, came like, you know, came
- 1:01:17Speaker 4: up from, um, you know, being disadvantaged, so to speak.
- 1:01:20Speaker 4: And she just, uh, she was a beautiful woman inside
- 1:01:23Speaker 4: and out. She was, uh, an animal lover. She, she
- 1:01:26Speaker 4: was a very, she donated a lot of her money
- 1:01:28Speaker 4: and her time, uh, true. You know, when you look
- 1:01:31Speaker 4: at the word Patriot, she was a true Patriot and
- 1:01:33Speaker 4: a true, um, uh, a wonderful woman.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: And, um, well, here's what I, here's what I, I mean, uh,
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: Like I said when I started, it's odd that somebody is...
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: Dolly Parton's passing. Here's somebody that I've never met in
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: person and really didn't know other than hearing her music
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: or seeing her... I never saw her in concert, but
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: seeing her on TV and stuff on YouTube and that
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: kind of stuff, or her appearances on some of the shows.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: But Dolly Parton was always upbeat. I mean, she wasn't political.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: She was upbeat. She was always in a good mood.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: She always was there to... She wasn't like Springsteen trying
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: to preach politics. She was just there to entertain you
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: and be in a great mood and an upbeat mood
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: and made you feel better and good about life and
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: that kind of stuff. And it's like her passing is
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: like really, really sad. And no controversy as far as
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: her and her husband over the years. I mean, everybody
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: looked at how like the illusion of her and Kenny Rogers.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: And I think her and Kenny Rogers were very close friends,
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: but they were they were never tied together romantically. And
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: she was never tied together romantically with anyone but her husband.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: And I don't know. There's just something. What a great entertainer.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: What a great.
- 1:02:51Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:02:52Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:02:52Speaker 4: And it's, you know, that, um, you know, I've only,
- 1:02:55Speaker 4: there's only been a few moments in time other than
- 1:02:57Speaker 4: a family or a few friends that I've, um, I've actually, um,
- 1:03:01Speaker 4: moved me, you know, when I, when I, when I
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: lost him, I, other than that, and Roberto Clemente was
- 1:03:06Speaker 4: one person.
- 1:03:06Speaker 8: Um, but, um, uh, it's, um, you know, it, I, today, yeah,
- 1:03:12Speaker 8: cause I was, you know, today was, you know, a
- 1:03:15Speaker 8: pretty good day.
- 1:03:15Speaker 4: You know, I've been doing some work around the house
- 1:03:17Speaker 4: since my, my son's birthday's today. And, um, you know, just, uh,
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: you know, enjoying him and enjoying, you know, what I
- 1:03:24Speaker 4: have in my life. And, you know, and then when
- 1:03:26Speaker 4: I heard that, I just said.
- 1:03:27Speaker 13: We really did it.
- 1:03:28Speaker 4: I agree with you. It really, um, it just kind of,
- 1:03:31Speaker 4: you know, made you sad. And, um, you know, because there's,
- 1:03:34Speaker 4: cause it's the, the world is a little bit darker now,
- 1:03:37Speaker 4: you know, and, um, you know, that's the way I
- 1:03:39Speaker 4: kind of, you know, me being up in a philosophy crap. I, it's,
- 1:03:42Speaker 4: I see the world is a little bit darker today.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: And, um, you know, yesterday, yesterday you reeled me in
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: like a fish on a line. I just stopped doing
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: this because it's going to get old after a while.
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: I was going right along with it when you started with,
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: I had a really hectic weekend. And I was like, oh, really?
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: What happened? And I was buying all of this right
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: up until the end. And, boy, that was so well done.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: That was so.
- 1:04:10Speaker 4: You set it up for me. You know, I want
- 1:04:13Speaker 4: to be honest with you that what I enjoy by
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: interacting with you and listening to your laughs. It really
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: makes me happy.
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: I've been laughing about that all day today, reflecting on it.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: I thought that was so damn funny.
- 1:04:28Speaker 7: I laughed numerous times.
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: There was one time you said, when we were talking
- 1:04:32Speaker 4: or something, you said something like, well, when I actually
- 1:04:37Speaker 4: get an opportunity to leave my home.
- 1:04:39Speaker 9: And then you had this hesitation.
- 1:04:41Speaker 4: And it was, if I would have been, if you
- 1:04:43Speaker 4: would have saw me at that time, I started laughing.
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: I don't know if anybody else got it, but he
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: was like, the way you had kind of said it's like,
- 1:04:49Speaker 4: whenever I get the opportunity to leave my house, you
- 1:04:52Speaker 4: really do have that. I think it's your laughter that
- 1:04:57Speaker 4: makes me happy too.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: You have been on a roll. I mean, with, with
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: the call, when you've been calling as JJ, the Trumpster, uh,
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: If you would call and be upset over anybody saying
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: anything negative about Trump and everybody knowing you're J.J. the
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: liberal through electric shock therapy, you're not J.J. the Trumpster.
- 1:05:17Speaker 4: A couple of things that people said today, so I
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: don't want to start with me today. But as I said,
- 1:05:23Speaker 4: it's interesting because I've kind of changed.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: In a way that— You're a thespian.
- 1:05:28Speaker 8: You're a thespian.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: You're a thespian.
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: My wife actually told me, she said, because I've always
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: told her that I wanted to, I did a little,
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: I like to garden.
- 1:05:41Speaker 14: I've got to pause.
- 1:05:43Speaker 8: I've got to go.
- 1:05:43Speaker 4: Take care of yourself, my friend.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: I'll let you go ahead. There he is, J.J. the Trumpster.
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: Here's a great employment opportunity of KBN. All right, back
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: to it. News Radio 570, WKBN, and Ron Verb, you're
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: on the air.
- 1:05:56Speaker 8: Ron, how you doing?
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: Good, go ahead.
- 1:06:01Speaker 21: Hey, I was watching something very interesting last night. You know,
- 1:06:04Speaker 21: I was reading about the tariff negotiations, the trade deal
- 1:06:10Speaker 21: negotiations with Canada, things like that. And that kind of
- 1:06:13Speaker 21: led me to this video on YouTube of Ross Perot
- 1:06:20Speaker 21: and Bill Clinton's VP Al Gore. They had a debate
- 1:06:26Speaker 21: on Larry King, I think it was back in like
- 1:06:28Speaker 21: 93 or something, about NAFTA. And Ross Perot, he was
- 1:06:34Speaker 21: like a prophet. You know, the things he was saying
- 1:06:36Speaker 21: about why that was a bad trade deal, why we
- 1:06:39Speaker 21: shouldn't be doing those things was, you know, nearly dead on. And,
- 1:06:45Speaker 21: you know, the big thrust of his argument was that
- 1:06:47Speaker 21: it doesn't make any sense to open up these trade
- 1:06:50Speaker 21: deals and be able to, you know, move capital across
- 1:06:56Speaker 21: the borders if you can't move labor, you know, basically because,
- 1:07:01Speaker 21: you know, what companies wanted to do in the 90s is, yeah,
- 1:07:04Speaker 21: use all that Chinese labor, use the Mexican labor, use
- 1:07:08Speaker 21: the South American labor for really cheap, because it was
- 1:07:10Speaker 21: like a dollar, you know, compared to, you know, in
- 1:07:14Speaker 21: the U.S., it's like $ 15, and it's just so much cheaper,
- 1:07:18Speaker 21: you know, and that's what, that was Ross Perot's big
- 1:07:22Speaker 21: argument against it, and I think that's really borne out,
- 1:07:25Speaker 21: and that's really why America's really struggled in my opinion
- 1:07:29Speaker 21: is it's not because we've gotten that we got a
- 1:07:32Speaker 21: raw deal on those trade deals like I think they
- 1:07:36Speaker 21: were really great for America for business owners but the
- 1:07:39Speaker 21: business owners they just saw that as profit they didn't
- 1:07:43Speaker 21: see that as some way to enhance you know the
- 1:07:46Speaker 21: American working class or the American people in general there's
- 1:07:50Speaker 21: just a way for companies to save money on labor
- 1:07:53Speaker 21: and And I think that was that's really what kind
- 1:07:57Speaker 21: of went wrong there. And what I see happen with
- 1:08:00Speaker 21: Trump is he's not involved in any of that. Like
- 1:08:06Speaker 21: what Trump is concerned about is just straight up tariff costs.
- 1:08:11Speaker 21: And those, you know, if you just start imposing willy
- 1:08:17Speaker 21: nilly tariffs like it doesn't help either country in really
- 1:08:21Speaker 21: any way. What we should have been doing is trying
- 1:08:25Speaker 21: to promote the workforces in Mexico, in Canada, in China,
- 1:08:32Speaker 21: trying to get those living standards up for those people.
- 1:08:35Speaker 21: Then you could have fair trade with those people. But
- 1:08:40Speaker 21: as it stands right now, there's just none of that.
- 1:08:43Speaker 21: I don't see Trump trying to deal with any of
- 1:08:47Speaker 21: those kind of issues. I just see him retreating, basically.
- 1:08:51Speaker 21: I think it's pretty disappointing. I mean, it's extremely disappointing
- 1:08:56Speaker 21: what's happening with Canada. You know, not, I don't remember,
- 1:09:00Speaker 21: a decade ago, you used to be able to freely
- 1:09:02Speaker 21: travel into Canada. You didn't even need a passport. You know,
- 1:09:07Speaker 21: there was relative free trade. I mean, I think there
- 1:09:10Speaker 21: was some tariffs back and forth, but very minimal. And
- 1:09:15Speaker 21: that's all out the window. And that is 100% on Trump.
- 1:09:18Speaker 21: And that's I mean, that's the worst thing we could
- 1:09:21Speaker 21: be doing to ourselves.
- 1:09:22Speaker 9: In my opinion.
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: So you think he's on the wrong track?
- 1:09:26Speaker 21: Oh, 100 percent. I mean, I don't I haven't I
- 1:09:30Speaker 21: haven't heard any. I've never read one article, one academic,
- 1:09:36Speaker 21: one politician, one political analyst who thinks these trade deals
- 1:09:43Speaker 21: that Trump is negotiating are in nearly anyone's benefit. You know,
- 1:09:48Speaker 21: and I look, I have a good faith effort. If
- 1:09:53Speaker 21: somebody wants to make the argument that this is a
- 1:09:55Speaker 21: good way to approach the policy, I'll hear it out.
- 1:09:59Speaker 21: I have not heard one, not one good argument for it.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: For tariffs?
- 1:10:06Speaker 21: Oh, yeah, the way he's managing them, yeah. I mean,
- 1:10:10Speaker 21: tariffs are, you know, tariffs are just a tax on
- 1:10:13Speaker 21: your own population. in order to develop certain industries you
- 1:10:18Speaker 21: want to develop in your own country. You know, that's
- 1:10:22Speaker 21: basically the only thing they're used for or good for. And,
- 1:10:26Speaker 21: you know, so that's what Trump's, his, like, general argument is, oh, well,
- 1:10:32Speaker 21: let's just stop buying things from these other countries, and
- 1:10:35Speaker 21: that's just going to somehow promote, you know, our own
- 1:10:43Speaker 21: manufacturing base or whatever. But that's just not happening. I mean,
- 1:10:49Speaker 21: you can look at the manufacturing numbers. It's still going down.
- 1:10:52Speaker 21: You know, it went up under Biden a little bit
- 1:10:54Speaker 21: when he had those chips and things like that.
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: Stand by for a minute. I'll come back to you
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: after this. News Radio 570 WKVN. Governor Mike DeWine has
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: directed all U.S.
- 1:11:08Speaker 22: And state flags of public buildings and grounds across Ohio
- 1:11:10Speaker 22: be lowered to half staff. This to honor the life
- 1:11:13Speaker 22: and legacy of country music star, and philanthropist Dolly Parton,
- 1:11:17Speaker 22: who has passed away at the age of 80. This
- 1:11:19Speaker 22: will remain in effect until sunset September 1st. A former
- 1:11:22Speaker 22: school bus driver in Toledo, who was convicted of driving
- 1:11:25Speaker 22: drunk with 15 children on board earlier this year, sentenced
- 1:11:28Speaker 22: today to probation. 71-year-old Carlene Harris, who drove for Trinity Transportation,
- 1:11:33Speaker 22: previously entered a guilty plea to charges of OVI and
- 1:11:36Speaker 22: child endangerment following the incident in April, where she hit
- 1:11:39Speaker 22: a curb twice and a witness said she almost hit
- 1:11:41Speaker 22: a vehicle.
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: Her blood alcohol level was. 09.
- 1:11:44Speaker 22: And Ohio's gas price average continues to come down, now
- 1:11:47Speaker 22: below $ 4 a gallon at $ 3. 99 entering today, 18 cents
- 1:11:51Speaker 22: lower compared to a week ago, but still remains 9
- 1:11:53Speaker 22: cents higher when looking back a month. I'm Sean Gallagher.

- 1:12:25Speaker 1: So if you go back, like, I voted for Perot.
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: Here was a case of another wacky, rich business guy
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: that I agreed with everything he was saying when he
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: was running. And everything you were saying about that, I
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: remember watching it. I watched the debate between Ross Perot
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: and Al Gore on Larry King Live, and everybody scored
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: it like, ah, Perot really got his ass whooped by Gore.
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: But when the dust settled, everything Perot said was true.
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: Everything that he argued, the jobs that were lost, the
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: sucking sound, the stagnant wages, everything that he said would
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: happen happened. And everything that Clinton and Gore said would
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: happen didn't happen. It did not happen. So parole was 100% right.
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: And when I voted for Trump the first time, Well,
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: I voted for him every time. But when I voted
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: for him the first time, I thought he was very
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: Ross Perot-like based on he had been saying this stuff
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: for years like Perot. And I voted for him. And
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: quite frankly, I was very happy with what he was
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: doing his first term. And then COVID messed everything up.
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: And I was pretty happy with what he was doing
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: this term up until this war situation. So and I
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: would wish you'd get back. I'm a big believer in
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: the American first agenda. Now, you were then talking about
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: the tariffs that are going on. And I make this
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: argument all the time. And you've probably been around a
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: long time. There is no way– and I'll say it again–
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: that we can compete with a lot of these slave
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: wage nations. And I've listened to employers. I've talked to
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: them personally. When you can go to China– And you
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: can have a dirt floor, childhood labor. You don't have
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: Social Security, health insurance, none of that stuff. And they'll
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: make that product at half the price to put your
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: ass out of business. And that's exactly what they'll do.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: And Vietnam would do that and India would do that.
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: So Trump's argument, which I agree with, is you have
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: to level a playing field. In other words, you have
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: to have tariffs that equal that difference in lifestyle before
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: you can bring that product into this country. Otherwise, you'll
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: put American manufacturing out of business and we'll lose those jobs.
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: And since I believe the best social program is a
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: good job, that's not a good thing to make all
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: your washing machines out of the country, your vehicles out
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: of the country, because that is the goal. Even Tim Ryan,
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: when he was your congressman here... as a Democrat, would
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: regularly bitch about the dumping of steel products into this community,
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: finished steel products dumped here in this community from China
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: at a cost less than we could buy the raw
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: materials for. Now, on the other hand, so that's why
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: I support tariffs. I support tariffs even in the playing
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: field because I still want those products to come in
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: and you to have a choice as a consumer because
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: I don't want tariffs to where the American business can say,
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: now we can hike our prices up and really put
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: the screws to people because I've seen that happen too.
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: I've seen when the competition went away, the gouging took place.
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: So I still want you to have a choice to say,
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: I want a Toyota. Because General Motors used to say it,
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: once you buy a Toyota or a Honda, and I
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: just remind people, the reason they're in the United States
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: was because of Ronald Reagan. The only way they could
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: bring those cars in and put them here was if
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: they had to be made in the United States. That
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: was Reagan. That's why all these plants are in the
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: United States of America. So I don't have a problem
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: with you buying a Toyota or a Honda. Look at
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: what it did for Marysville, Ohio and this kind of stuff.
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: But even General Motors said once people go to those cars,
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: they never come back. They're so satisfied with the quality
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: of them. And what did GM do when that happened?
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: GM started upping their game and making their product better.
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: Now we're right back to GM making stupid decisions. General
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: Motors basically conceded the small car and the fuel-efficient car.
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: They conceded that all to Honda, Toyota, Kia. General Motors
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: and Ford, they gave up on making small cars, fuel-efficient cars,
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: with the exception of maybe the Chevy Trax, affordable. You
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: can still get a Chevy Trax. But for the most part,
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: they conceded the car market to all the foreign companies,
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: which I think was just damn stupid. They made some
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: of the stupidest corporate decisions you could ever make for
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: a company.
- 1:16:59Speaker 21: Yeah, I agree with a lot of what you're saying.
- 1:17:02Speaker 21: The thing that I get lost on is when you say, like,
- 1:17:07Speaker 21: level the playing field. You know, what that would mean,
- 1:17:11Speaker 21: if you want to level the playing field with China,
- 1:17:12Speaker 21: that means our labor costs need to be as low
- 1:17:16Speaker 21: as theirs.
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: No, no, no, no. It means our labor costs stay
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: where they are. We level the playing field by having
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: a tariff of the difference between those benefits and wages
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: on their products coming in.
- 1:17:27Speaker 21: Who pays the tariff?
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: That's the tariff coming in. Obviously, you do as a consumer, potentially.
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: And if you don't, too many people lose their jobs.
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: You know, you can say, I want to buy all
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: this stuff dirt cheap. And I watch people say that
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: and do that until it ended up affecting their family
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: and their jobs. I remember sitting here when NAFTA came about,
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: as you mentioned, Perot, and people weren't paying attention until
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: they lost their jobs. And we saw entire communities... Lose
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: their tax base, drug problems, school systems, the entire community's
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: destroyed for it. One of my best callers was Ray,
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: the truck driver, who said, it is so damn sad
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: out here. These plants I delivered to are all closed
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: and they have all these weeds growing because they couldn't compete.
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: So that's the only way you can do it. I
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: happen to think it's a sin to all of this
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: work that's going over to China to Because we can't
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: compete with that in the prices that they do over there.
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: Are we to concede every job that we have?
- 1:18:31Speaker 9: Who was it.
- 1:18:31Speaker 21: That turned the jobs over to China?
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: Well, whether it's the American manufacturer or whether it's the
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: government policies. In many cases, it was Mexico. And here
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: is two sides to every story. A lot of times
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: the car companies got fired. fed up with the unions
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: going to extremes and wanting more and more that they
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: couldn't afford. So they went to Mexico to get away
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: from that. But then again, you got a bunch of people,
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: you gotta have a job. to go to without a
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: job you're screwed the best social programs a good job
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: and we better have jobs for everybody because everybody's not
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: going to be a lawyer or a doctor or whatever
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: and you better have the jobs because if you don't
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: and perot was right and trump's trying to have that
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: in america and to a large extent he's brought a
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: lot of manufacturing back out of the fear of tariffs
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: and it should continue to come back here well it
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: should continue to come back to this country With a
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: level playing field. So if you want to go buy
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: an LG washing machine made in Korea, you have that choice.
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: But it's not going to put out– was it Whirlpool
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: in Ohio? The company in Ohio that says, well, you
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: saw American business say we can't compete, so we're going
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: to have to go to Mexico, just like Perot said.
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: So it's easy to say I want a deal until
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: it's your job. And I leave you with that. So
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: mull that one over, all right? Thanks. NewsRadio, I mean,
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: there's two sides to every story on this kind of stuff.
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: And I think people have to realize that when it
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: comes to where you are on these type of situations.
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: You're on the air.
- 1:20:15Speaker 14: Ronald.
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: It's Theodore the Conservative.
- 1:20:20Speaker 8: Hey, I had to call because you made me smile.
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: Really?
- 1:20:25Speaker 8: You said... I could never vote.
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: For a Democrat. And I thought, wow. I will correct something.
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: I'm going to correct something. That does not... Okay, I'm
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: going to rain on your parade. That applies to the
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: federal level. And that applies to the state level. That
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: applies to, you know, president, senator, congressman, and even a
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: state level. However, I will say this to you.
- 1:20:59Speaker 14: Oh, boy.
- 1:21:00Speaker 9: Here we go.
- 1:21:01Speaker 3: I know.
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: I'm going to say I'm going to say no, you don't.
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: You know, I've by virtue of just sitting in the
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: catbird seats, I can tell you that I think there
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: are some Democrats that are running for local offices. That
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: are much far better choices and more competence than the
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: Republican Party. I would be careful how.
- 1:21:27Speaker 8: I use the word pump. They might be good salesmen,
- 1:21:30Speaker 8: but remember, they voted for Kamala Harris.
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: They voted for Joe Biden. They might smile.
- 1:21:38Speaker 8: And tell you everything you want to hear, but their decision-making...
- 1:21:43Speaker 8: skills are incompatible with the goals that you and I have.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: Yeah, really? Take a look at the recorder. Oh, he's
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: a bad guy, no doubt. And he's a Republican. You
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: would have been better off, the woman that was running
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: that office for years as a Democrat. All of this
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: stuff isn't necessarily political.
- 1:22:01Speaker 9: I'll give you credit.
- 1:22:02Speaker 8: I'll say this. Life is not black and white. There's
- 1:22:05Speaker 8: a lot of gray. You're 100% right when it comes
- 1:22:08Speaker 8: to that recorder's office. However, however, This is just Ted
- 1:22:13Speaker 8: the conservative. I will never vote for a Democrat.
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: Well, I will tell you this. There are some– well,
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: off the top of my head, there's at least one. Wow.
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: In this, well, one. In my neck of the woods
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: that I... I'm surprised you found one. Yeah, that I
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: would vote for a particular position because I think they
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: have the right abilities. And I think their abilities... Even
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: though they're Kamala Harris fans? I don't know if they're
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: necessarily Kamala Harris fans. They're Democrats... And listen, just because...
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: Let me put it this way. Sometimes Democrats aren't happy
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: with their party as well. I could be critical of Trump,
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: and I will not vote solely based on party. I
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: will on a lot of arenas. But sometimes there are
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: lousy Republican choices, I've got to tell you.
- 1:23:14Speaker 8: No doubt, no doubt. Give me a bad Republican over
- 1:23:18Speaker 8: a bad Democrat.
- 1:23:20Speaker 9: No.
- 1:23:21Speaker 8: Most of them never meet our expectations. I mean, let's
- 1:23:25Speaker 8: be honest.
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: Well, I will say this. You have had a lot of–
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: I'll give you an example of a guy that I
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: think is a decent human being, and he's a Democrat.
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: There's some out there. I think John Bocherry falls into
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: that category.
- 1:23:45Speaker 8: Yeah, John's a good guy. For everything I know, he's
- 1:23:47Speaker 8: a good guy.
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: Good father, good husband, good American citizen. I think he's
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: more of a....
- 1:23:57Speaker 8: He could be the exception to the rule. How's that?
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: Well, he could be one of them. But there's another
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: one I have in mind. It wouldn't be appropriate for
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: me to say it at the present time. But there's
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: another one I have in mind that I think, from
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: a standpoint, he has the right... temperaments that is needed
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: for the position he's seeking. In my opinion, yeah. But
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: some of these Republicans.
- 1:24:24Speaker 8: I agree there's bad Republicans. Don't get me wrong. And
- 1:24:26Speaker 8: I'm not saying... I'm speaking in generalities, obviously.
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: I'm not naive to.
- 1:24:31Speaker 8: Say there aren't good Democrats here.
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: In generalities, I would agree with you. But in some cases....
- 1:24:40Speaker 8: Once you leave the local government, we'll agree. You never
- 1:24:43Speaker 8: vote for a Democrat.
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: Okay. No, but I'm somewhat disappointed. I mean, like I said,
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: I'm disappointed in Trump at this point in time. And
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: I'm disappointed in the Republican Party as a whole that
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: they haven't codified this stuff properly. the executive orders. In general,
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: the Republican Party, to me, has been a disappointment on
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: the federal level, their lack of action.
- 1:25:08Speaker 8: I have told you, how many times have I told
- 1:25:11Speaker 8: you over the years that when it comes to governing
- 1:25:15Speaker 8: and getting things done, the Republican Party is horrible? I
- 1:25:18Speaker 8: think I've even maybe gone so far as to tell
- 1:25:20Speaker 8: you the only good thing about Republicans being in the
- 1:25:23Speaker 8: majority is is we stop the Democrat agenda from moving forward.
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: Well, that isn't what you told me, and I'm going
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: to correct you. I've got a good memory on what.
- 1:25:31Speaker 8: You told me. What did I say?
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: What did I say? Okay, I'm going to relive it. No,
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: I said, you said to me, I can remember it.
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: You said, Ron, you don't want to know what sucks?
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: And I said, what's that?
- 1:25:44Speaker 8: I didn't say that word.
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: Yes, you do. You said, Ron, I'm going to tell
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: you what sucks. I said, what's that? And then you
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: said your show. And I said, oh. No, I wouldn't
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: say that. Maybe that was someone else.
- 1:25:59Speaker 8: Maybe that was J.J., the liberal, before he got sick.
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: J.J. 's been on a roll, man. J.J. is a.
- 1:26:07Speaker 8: Hey, I think, you know, I got to tell you,
- 1:26:09Speaker 8: I think I did good renaming him. I think I...
- 1:26:12Speaker 8: You know, and I want to go to the next
- 1:26:14Speaker 8: guy real quick. Well, go ahead. Say what you want
- 1:26:16Speaker 8: about J.J. Then I want to make a comment about
- 1:26:18Speaker 8: Fifth Avenue and the other colleges.
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: I love Fifth Avenue. But you know what I was
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: intrigued by the boss lady's insight into the– York going
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: down to the trailer park thing yesterday. Her call was great.
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: My favorite call yesterday was the 85-year-old woman. That was
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: my favorite call of all of them.
- 1:26:41Speaker 8: God bless her, huh?
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:26:42Speaker 8: She's out there living life, cutting grass. She's going to
- 1:26:46Speaker 8: live a lot longer if she stays active. So good
- 1:26:48Speaker 8: for her.
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: But are you saddened as I am today with the
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: passing of Dolly Parton? I'm really bummed.
- 1:26:54Speaker 9: No.
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:26:56Speaker 8: You think she would have been sad if you died?
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: If I died?
- 1:27:00Speaker 13: Yes.
- 1:27:01Speaker 8: Yeah, you think she'd care?
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: No, but I know who Dolly Parton is. You don't
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: know a squat about me.
- 1:27:06Speaker 8: How do you know who Dolly Parton is?
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: I've been watching her for years. I enjoyed her music,
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: her enthusiasm, her bubbly personality, all that kind of stuff.
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:27:16Speaker 8: It has nothing to do with comments that you made
- 1:27:18Speaker 8: about AOC earlier.
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: Oh, my God. I mean, can you believe that, honest
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: to God, they are even talking about her?
- 1:27:27Speaker 8: I'll tell you this much. My father-in-law and my wife
- 1:27:31Speaker 8: from down south, Tennessee, to them it probably means a
- 1:27:34Speaker 8: big deal, but I can care less. I mean, I
- 1:27:37Speaker 8: understand why it means something to some people.
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: Okay, well, it means a lot to me, and I'm
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: not from down south, but she's just a great entertainer.
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: Bubbly personality just made you, put you in a good mood.
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: But the fact that the Democrats would even think AOC,
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: I mean, I look at AOC as a nitwit.
- 1:27:56Speaker 8: She's nuts.
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: And Gavin Newsom.
- 1:27:59Speaker 8: She's literally, I mean, she's literally on the verge, I mean, of,
- 1:28:04Speaker 8: I don't know that I would say A socialist more
- 1:28:07Speaker 8: as a communist. I mean, if you look at that DSA,
- 1:28:12Speaker 8: they talk about Trump being a king, but they want
- 1:28:14Speaker 8: to turn us into a communist country. Think about that.
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: I just don't think she has the smarts to be president.
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: I'll say it again. I think DeSantis has the smarts
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: to be president.
- 1:28:25Speaker 8: I'll say this about her. I respect her in that
- 1:28:29Speaker 8: her opinion never changes. She truly believes in the crazy
- 1:28:33Speaker 8: shit she says.
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: Don't say the S word. Okay, she.
- 1:28:37Speaker 8: said the S word.
- 1:28:38Speaker 9: I'm sorry.
- 1:28:38Speaker 8: That's why you got my mind.
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: No, I didn't say that. I didn't say that.
- 1:28:44Speaker 8: Uh, but anyway, she, she believes the crazy crap. She says, yes,
- 1:28:51Speaker 8: truly believe that stuff. So I can respect her now.
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: I can't respect it.
- 1:28:55Speaker 8: I'm like a Gavin Newsom.
- 1:28:56Speaker 9: Well, hear me out.
- 1:28:57Speaker 8: I'm like a Gavin Newsom.
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: Snake oil.
- 1:28:59Speaker 8: He caters to the crowd. Yeah, he caters to the
- 1:29:01Speaker 8: crowd he's addressing.
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:29:03Speaker 8: He'll have 10 different opinions on the same subject. Yes.
- 1:29:07Speaker 8: She never changes her opinion.
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:29:09Speaker 8: You know where she stands. And when I say that,
- 1:29:11Speaker 8: that's what I mean. There's very few politicians like that.
- 1:29:14Speaker 8: Democrats or Republicans.
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: Gavin Newsom thinks he can get elected based on his
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: boyish charm, and AOC thinks she can get elected because
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: she thinks everyone wants to have sex with her. Hang on.

- 1:29:42Speaker 1: to flavor. Mike Rowe here with KBN. And Ron Furb
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: from the Kingdom of Mahoning. 78 degrees. All right, Ted,
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: go ahead.
- 1:29:49Speaker 8: So what I was going to say is your caller earlier,
- 1:29:52Speaker 8: the gentleman that you were intrigued by, you talked about
- 1:29:55Speaker 8: him and his good staff, and it was kind of
- 1:29:57Speaker 8: a same breath. But I was surprised you didn't know
- 1:30:00Speaker 8: his political position on issues. Over the years, he's made
- 1:30:04Speaker 8: it very clear he's a liberal socially and When it
- 1:30:10Speaker 8: comes to fiscal matters, he's conservative. Probably a moderate Democrat,
- 1:30:14Speaker 8: just like my father was. Grew up as a Democrat,
- 1:30:18Speaker 8: you know. Probably worked in a union, maybe. But guys
- 1:30:21Speaker 8: like him, the woman that called yesterday, Fifth Avenue. You know,
- 1:30:28Speaker 8: I remember I told you how I came up with
- 1:30:30Speaker 8: the name of Fifth Avenue. I just had a vision
- 1:30:33Speaker 8: of him sitting in a house up on Fifth Avenue,
- 1:30:36Speaker 8: plastic on the furniture, with maybe a fedora hat.
- 1:30:39Speaker 14: On, a robe.
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: Well, that's absolutely true. That's exactly how he is.
- 1:30:45Speaker 8: But those guys, your callers that are older than me,
- 1:30:49Speaker 8: those are the calls I appreciate the most on this program,
- 1:30:52Speaker 8: even if I don't agree with their political opinion, because
- 1:30:55Speaker 8: they've lived life a lot longer than me, and they've
- 1:30:59Speaker 8: got so many more life experiences than me. And you
- 1:31:02Speaker 8: can hear that. It comes out in their voice. And
- 1:31:04Speaker 8: I think it comes out in their decision-making.
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: Right. I have that same thought. I mean, you know,
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: as a young guy like you, myself, I have that
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: same thought.
- 1:31:12Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:31:13Speaker 8: I mean, hey, you know, we won't be young forever,
- 1:31:16Speaker 8: so we might as well listen and learn, right? Sometimes
- 1:31:20Speaker 8: I'm a little bit hard on Frank, but you know,
- 1:31:23Speaker 8: like you said, we may not agree with Frank's political
- 1:31:25Speaker 8: opinions or his issues on Israel, but he's a smart guy.
- 1:31:30Speaker 8: He's no dumb guy.
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: Right. I would agree with it.
- 1:31:32Speaker 9: You know, you've.
- 1:31:34Speaker 8: Put that together with his life experiences, financial experiences. If
- 1:31:39Speaker 8: you listen to Frank, you'll learn something. You don't have
- 1:31:41Speaker 8: to agree with everything he says, but I'll guarantee you,
- 1:31:44Speaker 8: you'll learn something from him if you listen to him.
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: He's pretty sharp on the economy, but he's in Fort Lauderdale.
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: I'm going to watch him. I'm going to get him tomorrow.
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: I'm going to say, if you're so smart on the economy,
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: I'm going to say, how come you don't live in Naples?
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: I'm going to zing him tomorrow.
- 1:31:57Speaker 7: Naples?
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: Why?
- 1:31:59Speaker 8: What's wrong with Naples? Oh, okay. Well, Lauderdale, though, I mean,
- 1:32:04Speaker 8: have you been there lately? My goodness gracious. There's a
- 1:32:07Speaker 8: lot of money down there in Fort Lauderdale.
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: Really? I would think Naples. What's more expensive of a place,
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: Fort Lauderdale or Naples?
- 1:32:17Speaker 8: I would say that overall, Naples, there's probably not a
- 1:32:22Speaker 8: cheap property in Naples, whereas in Fort Lauderdale, you may
- 1:32:25Speaker 8: still find some. But I'm telling you, Ron, there's parts
- 1:32:28Speaker 8: of Fort Lauderdale, holy cow. I mean, if you.
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: See these homes... So you're saying I could zing him
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: and it could backfire? Okay, I got to pause.
- 1:32:37Speaker 8: You could zing him and ask him to tell you
- 1:32:39Speaker 8: about Fort Lauderdale.
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: This is a Fox News alert. A nation in mourning.
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: I'm Lisa Brady.
- 1:32:58Speaker 5: It was no doubt when you met Dolly Parton, you
- 1:33:01Speaker 5: realized how wonderful she was as a human being.
- 1:33:04Speaker 16: Singer Lee Greenwood telling Fox he's heartbroken over the loss
- 1:33:07Speaker 16: of the global icon. Her family says the singer, songwriter, actress,
- 1:33:15Speaker 16: playwright and philanthropist died peacefully today in Nashville.
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: She was 80.
- 1:33:20Speaker 11: She set her sights on Nashville at a very young
- 1:33:22Speaker 11: age and never looked back. Her songs cut across generations
- 1:33:27Speaker 11: and built bridges across political divides. Her career started when
- 1:33:30Speaker 11: she hooked up with Porter Wagoner and spanned seven decades.
- 1:33:33Speaker 11: Dolly is preceded in death by her beloved husband of

- 1:33:48Speaker 1: By tagging at Dolly Parton. Ox is Michelle Polino.
- 1:33:52Speaker 16: Of her many honors and achievements, Parton said what meant
- 1:33:54Speaker 16: perhaps the most was her imagination library, which has given
- 1:33:58Speaker 16: more than 200 million books to children, founded in honor
- 1:34:01Speaker 16: of her father, who could not read. President Trump lowering
- 1:34:04Speaker 16: flags for one week in her honor and posting, there
- 1:34:07Speaker 16: will never be anyone like her. Canada rolls out retaliatory

- 1:34:17Speaker 23: We are under unprovoked attack by President Trump.
- 1:34:20Speaker 16: Ontario Premier Doug Ford telling Fox Business.
- 1:34:23Speaker 23: I always say Canadians, myself, we love the American people,
- 1:34:26Speaker 23: we love the U.S., and it's unfortunate that President Trump
- 1:34:30Speaker 23: has taken action.

- 1:36:06Speaker 5: Hope you're enjoying it.
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: Hope I find you in good spirits and in good health.
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: Sad day of the passing of Dolly Parton. And glad
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: you're still amongst us. You're on the air.
- 1:36:17Speaker 13: Yeah, Ron, how you doing? I heard part of your
- 1:36:19Speaker 13: show yesterday. And I thought, real quick, that 85-year-old lady
- 1:36:25Speaker 13: was fantastic, by the way. But I thought everybody was
- 1:36:28Speaker 13: a little too hard on the Bartlows. I think they
- 1:36:32Speaker 13: blew that way out of proportion. For all the good
- 1:36:35Speaker 13: that that family's done the Valley, you know, especially Denise,
- 1:36:43Speaker 13: I thought that the news media, I think publishing that
- 1:36:47Speaker 13: mugshot was over the top on the TV media. But
- 1:36:52Speaker 13: a lot of people, you know, just seem to enjoy
- 1:36:56Speaker 13: it too much. And like I said, they've done more
- 1:36:58Speaker 13: good for this valley than everybody here combined.
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: The whole story is so bizarre because... I mean, it's,
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: I guess we're all just scratching our heads saying, what
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: the hell was this dude thinking? I mean, as I,
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: as I said yesterday, I'm going to tell you right
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: now that probably the best pickup line you can ever
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: have is, hi, I'm, uh, whatever, you know, uh, John York,
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: or what was his name? Jeff, Jeff, Jeff York, and
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: I own the San Francisco 49ers. That's a pretty good
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: pickup line. Don't you think? Yeah.
- 1:37:35Speaker 13: You know, Ron, I was a bartender for 10 years and, uh,
- 1:37:39Speaker 13: you wouldn't believe the stuff I heard behind the bar.
- 1:37:41Speaker 13: I mean, I'm saying to myself half the time, don't
- 1:37:45Speaker 13: these people know I'm here, you know, when they're having
- 1:37:47Speaker 13: their conversations? And I've heard so much, and in this
- 1:37:51Speaker 13: I put way down, you know, Remember Roger Kraft from
- 1:37:56Speaker 13: the New England Patriots?
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: Yes, I do. But it's the stupidity. I thought the
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: boss lady did an excellent analysis of it. It's just stupid.
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: What are you doing in a position you are? Going
- 1:38:09Speaker 1: down to a trailer park to pay someone supposedly. Well, OK,
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: let me back up. It's the stupidity of it. You're
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: doing this online when you know if you've been around
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: any length of time, it's usually the cops on the
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: other end of it. I am shocked the number of
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: guys who get caught in these sting operations that they
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: are engaging in this. They're sending out pictures of their.
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: manhood or they're trying to engage in sex with somebody
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: that and it's some cop or some sting operation on
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: the end of the line we see it time and
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: time again with local joe bag of donuts all the
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: time and and then they get their mug shots published
- 1:38:45Speaker 1: and embarrassment and all and can lose their jobs so
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: we see it all the time but and it's and
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: it's stupid that that they fall for it and it's
- 1:38:54Speaker 1: stupid that this guy is boss he said it's stupid
- 1:38:57Speaker 1: this guy fell for it his mugshot was published just
- 1:39:01Speaker 1: like anybody else's and uh and he's he's got the
- 1:39:06Speaker 1: ramifications uh for it i mean If you're asking me,
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: do we lock him up in jail for 10 years?
- 1:39:11Speaker 9: No.
- 1:39:12Speaker 1: I mean, you know, OK, you got caught. You pay
- 1:39:14Speaker 1: your fine or whatever it is and get on with
- 1:39:17Speaker 1: your life and learn a lesson because, you know, you've disrespected.
- 1:39:22Speaker 1: You've hurt your mother. I'm sure you've hurt your your
- 1:39:26Speaker 1: wife or ex-wife. I don't know what the situation is.
- 1:39:30Speaker 1: And your children, you should know better. How do I
- 1:39:32Speaker 1: say he should simply know better?
- 1:39:35Speaker 13: Well, Ron, you have a few drinks and people don't
- 1:39:37Speaker 13: think logically, or you take a few whatever you do,
- 1:39:41Speaker 13: and you're not thinking logically, and so that's that. But
- 1:39:46Speaker 13: what I will say is, like, once you go back
- 1:39:48Speaker 13: to it again, like Dolly Parton, she'll be known as
- 1:39:53Speaker 13: one of the top things she'll be known for is
- 1:39:55Speaker 13: a philanthropist. I mean, she did so much good. With
- 1:39:58Speaker 13: that imagination library. Well, you never heard.
- 1:40:01Speaker 1: About Dolly Parton running around. I mean, people always try
- 1:40:04Speaker 1: to spread the rumors, but she stayed married to her
- 1:40:06Speaker 1: husband and was very saddened upon his death. So, I mean,
- 1:40:11Speaker 1: she always gave that flirtatious impression, but there was never
- 1:40:16Speaker 1: any scandal between her and Kenny Rogers or anybody.
- 1:40:19Speaker 13: Yeah, but getting to the point why I called, but
- 1:40:22Speaker 13: I'll say one more time that the Bartlows are a
- 1:40:25Speaker 13: great family, and I was saddened by the news yesterday.
- 1:40:28Speaker 9: Not happy.
- 1:40:29Speaker 13: But let's get to the point that I was calling about.
- 1:40:33Speaker 13: Did you see where Kushner met with Akeem Jeffries on
- 1:40:38Speaker 13: Trump's behalf?
- 1:40:39Speaker 1: No.
- 1:40:40Speaker 13: Oh, you didn't see that?
- 1:40:41Speaker 8: No.
- 1:40:41Speaker 13: The media buried that. That was a couple of days ago.
- 1:40:45Speaker 13: He's cutting deals with the Democrats. You know, why isn't
- 1:40:48Speaker 13: he talking? He's talking with the Democratic leader of the
- 1:40:51Speaker 13: House instead of his own leader, Johnson. But I think he's,
- 1:40:56Speaker 13: I think he's, realizing he's going to lose the midterms,
- 1:40:59Speaker 13: and I don't think he wants to get impeached. And
- 1:41:02Speaker 13: they're probably making deals on what he can give the
- 1:41:06Speaker 13: Democrats to keep them off of his back. But look
- 1:41:10Speaker 13: into that if you get a chance on that meeting.
- 1:41:13Speaker 13: But on the tariff point, I'm not so concerned with
- 1:41:17Speaker 13: the tariffs. What concerns me is I'm living in a
- 1:41:20Speaker 13: welfare state. Do you know what percent of our budget
- 1:41:23Speaker 13: we spend on welfare out of the federal budget?
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: No.
- 1:41:28Speaker 13: 47% down the drain. That's welfare. And then if you
- 1:41:33Speaker 13: add on the interest on the debt, that's another 9%.
- 1:41:37Speaker 13: So right off the bat, 56% is wasted. And then
- 1:41:43Speaker 13: you add up everything else. Education is 15%. National defense
- 1:41:48Speaker 13: is almost 8%, 9%.
- 1:41:49Speaker 6: But you've got these.
- 1:41:50Speaker 13: Do-nothing... We have $ 40 trillion in debt. We're a welfare state.
- 1:42:00Speaker 13: We have so much fraud. If you would just take
- 1:42:02Speaker 13: care of the fraud, you wouldn't have to worry about
- 1:42:05Speaker 13: the tariffs or real estate taxes or our local taxes.
- 1:42:11Speaker 13: You wouldn't have to pay an income tax, must said,
- 1:42:14Speaker 13: if we just took care of the fraud. And the
- 1:42:19Speaker 13: other thing I wanted to call about, 9-11 is coming up,
- 1:42:21Speaker 13: and I don't know. I follow this architect, Richard Gage.
- 1:42:25Speaker 13: They're having a.
- 1:42:27Speaker 1: You mean that's Richard Gere. He's not an architect.
- 1:42:29Speaker 9: No, no.
- 1:42:30Speaker 13: Richard Gage.
- 1:42:31Speaker 6: G-H-E-E.
- 1:42:32Speaker 13: I know who you're talking about, the actor. But this
- 1:42:34Speaker 13: is the famous architect. He's having a meeting in New York.
- 1:42:42Speaker 13: It's called.
- 1:42:44Speaker 13: What is it called? Turning the Tide, 9-11, 25 years later,
- 1:42:49Speaker 13: where he has... And a lot of witnesses... A lot
- 1:42:53Speaker 13: of firemen, battalion chiefs that were there on the scene
- 1:42:56Speaker 13: when 9-11 happened. I know we've got a lot of
- 1:42:58Speaker 13: kids now that don't know anything about 9-11. And Dennis
- 1:43:04Speaker 13: Kucinich is going to be one of the speakers, believe
- 1:43:06Speaker 13: it or not. They said that was a cover-up. It was,
- 1:43:11Speaker 13: you know, Building 7 collapsed?
- 1:43:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:43:15Speaker 13: The BBC announced that it collapsed a half an hour,
- 1:43:18Speaker 13: and they were describing everything that happened. A half an
- 1:43:21Speaker 13: hour before it happened.
- 1:43:24Speaker 1: I never saw that, but I mean, there's so much
- 1:43:28Speaker 1: to be concerned about with that entire situation. What was
- 1:43:31Speaker 1: the failure? They knew these guys were here. They knew
- 1:43:34Speaker 1: what they were up to. There's a lot of suspicion
- 1:43:38Speaker 1: over that entire event.
- 1:43:40Speaker 13: And they just happened to find four intact passports at
- 1:43:44Speaker 13: the scene of the Saudis, the pilots. Everything else was incinerated, pulverized,
- 1:43:50Speaker 13: dust exploded, but yet you had these four pristine, not pristine,
- 1:43:54Speaker 13: but four intact passports that the FBI happened to produce.
- 1:44:00Speaker 13: It just doesn't add up. I'm with you. Getting back
- 1:44:06Speaker 13: to Kushner, I mean, who elected Kushner to negotiate our
- 1:44:11Speaker 13: foreign policy and then negotiate politics with the Democrats? It
- 1:44:18Speaker 13: doesn't make any sense.
- 1:44:21Speaker 1: Well, Trump put him in that position.
- 1:44:24Speaker 13: Yeah, well.
- 1:44:25Speaker 1: I mean, he trusts him because of his family relationship,
- 1:44:29Speaker 1: kind of like John Kennedy and Bobby Kennedy. Sometimes the
- 1:44:32Speaker 1: people you trust most are the ones that are closest
- 1:44:36Speaker 1: to you.
- 1:44:37Speaker 13: Yes, and, you know, getting back to this war, like
- 1:44:41Speaker 13: I said, it's... Trump did it to himself, and I
- 1:44:45Speaker 13: think at the direction of the Israelis, and it was
- 1:44:49Speaker 13: not in our national interest, and it was in Israel's interest,
- 1:44:55Speaker 13: and yet Israel is still, you know.
- 1:44:59Speaker 13: Bubba Ghanoush, does he ever talk about Lebanon and its
- 1:45:01Speaker 13: people being killed and bombed?
- 1:45:05Speaker 1: I really haven't asked him enough about it, but I will.
- 1:45:08Speaker 13: But, you know, one more quick point. I don't know
- 1:45:10Speaker 13: if you saw Senator Warner, you know, the Democratic senator...
- 1:45:14Speaker 13: came out of an intelligence meeting, and he said, this
- 1:45:19Speaker 13: was within the last week, there was no threat to
- 1:45:21Speaker 13: the U.S. from Iran. He said there was a threat
- 1:45:24Speaker 13: to Israel. And then he said if we view the
- 1:45:28Speaker 13: threat to Israel as an imminent threat to the U.S.,
- 1:45:31Speaker 13: then clearly we're occupied by the Israeli government. They run
- 1:45:37Speaker 13: our country.
- 1:45:37Speaker 1: It's sad.
- 1:45:38Speaker 2: Yep.
- 1:45:42Speaker 1: Hey, thank you. Appreciate your call. You're on air. Moving quick. Hello.
- 1:45:47Speaker 21: Hello.
- 1:45:47Speaker 1: Yes, go ahead, please.
- 1:45:49Speaker 12: Yeah, the guy on the terrace a while ago, when
- 1:45:51Speaker 12: he called, you know, when you go to Canada, you
- 1:45:53Speaker 12: can't buy a bottle of California wine. If you get it,
- 1:45:57Speaker 12: it's $ 10 retail here. You know what it is up there?
- 1:45:59Speaker 8: $ 30.
- 1:45:59Speaker 1: Yep.
- 1:46:01Speaker 12: You know, they tax the hell out of our stuff.
- 1:46:06Speaker 14: We don't do that. And you can do that with the.
- 1:46:10Speaker 12: Dairy and everything else. So that's the point of the tariffs,
- 1:46:15Speaker 12: where our companies are getting taken advantage of.
- 1:46:18Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:46:19Speaker 12: Because they have big tariffs on us. You can go
- 1:46:22Speaker 12: there and buy a French bottle of wine at a
- 1:46:24Speaker 12: regular price.
- 1:46:25Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:46:26Speaker 12: Italian bottle of wine, but not a California bottle of wine.
- 1:46:29Speaker 12: And dairy and a lot of other stuff. So that's
- 1:46:31Speaker 12: the problem with the tariffs, and that's why he's doing
- 1:46:34Speaker 12: what he's doing.
- 1:46:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:46:35Speaker 8: All right.
- 1:46:36Speaker 9: And, you know.
- 1:46:37Speaker 1: I agree with him. I don't disagree with him on
- 1:46:41Speaker 1: tariffs at all.
- 1:46:43Speaker 12: And your last caller, you know, you listen to these senators,
- 1:46:46Speaker 12: they all just play spin coming out of those things.
- 1:46:49Speaker 14: There's no... You never get anything.
- 1:46:51Speaker 1: I'm not going to sit here and say I'm not
- 1:46:53Speaker 1: a Republican cheerleader. The Republicans have disappointed me that they
- 1:46:57Speaker 1: didn't codify Trump's executive orders. I think they I might
- 1:47:01Speaker 1: be disappointed in Trump with this war situation. But that
- 1:47:05Speaker 1: doesn't mean that he was wasn't still the best choice.
- 1:47:08Speaker 1: And overall, it's done a decent job and stuff. But
- 1:47:11Speaker 1: I can still be disappointed in him. In my opinion,
- 1:47:14Speaker 1: in this situation, just as I'm disappointed in the Republican
- 1:47:18Speaker 1: Party for not, the next president can come in and
- 1:47:21Speaker 1: wipe all of this out if it's a Democrat. And
- 1:47:23Speaker 1: it's crazy. And it very well could be.
- 1:47:27Speaker 12: I mean, Trump firmly believes that he needed to do this.
- 1:47:31Speaker 12: He didn't do this because he wanted to do this.
- 1:47:33Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 1:47:34Speaker 9: It was a big gamble.
- 1:47:35Speaker 14: I don't know.
- 1:47:35Speaker 12: He firmly believes. What he says.
- 1:47:37Speaker 4: There's no doubt.
- 1:47:38Speaker 9: Now, he's right or wrong. I can't argue that.
- 1:47:41Speaker 1: Well, time will tell.
- 1:47:42Speaker 12: I know he firmly believes in that.
- 1:47:43Speaker 1: Yeah, time will tell, as we say.
- 1:47:46Speaker 4: Yeah, we don't know.
- 1:47:47Speaker 14: All right, Tiger.
- 1:47:49Speaker 13: Have a good day.
- 1:47:50Speaker 1: Thank you. You're on air. Trying to move quickly. Hello.
- 1:47:57Speaker 1: You're on air.
- 1:47:59Speaker 9: Good evening, Ron.
- 1:47:59Speaker 3: How are you?
- 1:48:00Speaker 1: It must be G2 on the end of the line.
- 1:48:04Speaker 9: It is, and it's a frustrated G2, I will tell
- 1:48:07Speaker 9: you that, because it feels like hundreds and hundreds of
- 1:48:11Speaker 9: hours of analysis and debate and argument is all just gone,
- 1:48:16Speaker 9: like everybody's just forgotten it all, because gas went to...
- 1:48:20Speaker 9: $ 4 or whatever it's at. It's really frustrating. So a
- 1:48:23Speaker 9: couple of quick points. First of all, this Kushner thing
- 1:48:26Speaker 9: is an important point, but I take a slightly different
- 1:48:29Speaker 9: position on it than what was just said. Donald Trump
- 1:48:33Speaker 9: has been negotiating through Spender Johnson and Trader Thune to
- 1:48:36Speaker 9: get to the Democrats for a long time. He's been
- 1:48:38Speaker 9: trying to push his agenda, our agenda, through that body
- 1:48:42Speaker 9: and simply can't do it. Remember in the first hundred
- 1:48:46Speaker 9: days how we were talking about how the Republicans were,
- 1:48:49Speaker 9: I think they took 44 days off? 44 out of
- 1:48:53Speaker 9: 100 of days they were supposed to be in session,
- 1:48:55Speaker 9: plus weekends, they were barely there. And they did that
- 1:48:59Speaker 9: so they wouldn't advance the agenda. Then we get to
- 1:49:01Speaker 9: the big, beautiful bill. And here's an important point. Somebody
- 1:49:04Speaker 9: was talking the other day about how Trump added $ 4
- 1:49:06Speaker 9: trillion to the deficit. That is such simplistic, propagandist kind
- 1:49:12Speaker 9: of nonsense. Here's the fact. Trump went to the Republicans
- 1:49:16Speaker 9: in Congress with this big, ugly, expensive bill that had
- 1:49:20Speaker 9: a few things in there that they absolutely had to pass.
- 1:49:23Speaker 9: Because believe me, the Democrats and Republicans were not going
- 1:49:26Speaker 9: to let those tax credits or those tax rates expire
- 1:49:31Speaker 9: and increase. They weren't going to do it. Their donors
- 1:49:32Speaker 9: would have fried them alive, and the public would have
- 1:49:34Speaker 9: fried them alive. Because as you know... When those tax
- 1:49:38Speaker 9: breaks were put in place, it wasn't just, as the
- 1:49:40Speaker 9: corporate media says, for the billionaires. Joe Mainstreet got an
- 1:49:44Speaker 9: immediate benefit from that tax cut. And then we.
- 1:49:47Speaker 7: Saw $ 2.
- 1:49:48Speaker 9: Trillion of private money come back to the U.S., get reinvested.
- 1:49:53Speaker 9: We had this thing called reshoring, and we watched wages
- 1:49:55Speaker 9: go up for the first time in four decades. So
- 1:49:59Speaker 9: there's no way. Congress was going to let those go.
- 1:50:02Speaker 9: He got a couple of other things, but Republicans forced
- 1:50:05Speaker 9: him to agree to a $ 5 trillion increase in the debt.
- 1:50:09Speaker 9: And you may remember, for those that think that's a
- 1:50:11Speaker 9: Republican move, that the Democrats then shut down the government
- 1:50:15Speaker 9: because they wanted another $ 1. 5 trillion. They said, oh, it's
- 1:50:19Speaker 9: not enough that you're going to take us to $ 50
- 1:50:20Speaker 9: trillion because that's where we're headed. We need another trillion
- 1:50:23Speaker 9: and a half. You're not spending enough, was the Democrat message.
- 1:50:27Speaker 9: So if you think voting for Democrats is somehow fiscal
- 1:50:30Speaker 9: responsibility or somehow going to help with the debt, you're delusional.
- 1:50:35Speaker 1: Right?
- 1:50:35Speaker 9: That's just silly, but I understand how the media pushes
- 1:50:38Speaker 9: this crap out. Now, anybody that thinks Donald Trump was
- 1:50:41Speaker 9: going to come in and get Congress to agree to
- 1:50:43Speaker 9: stop spending should have been dissuaded of that opinion when
- 1:50:46Speaker 9: the big, ugly bill went through. And then we got
- 1:50:49Speaker 9: the housing bill that I bet almost no one even
- 1:50:51Speaker 9: knows passed. And that housing bill replenished the coffers of
- 1:50:55Speaker 9: all the NGOs that are out there plotting a plan
- 1:51:00Speaker 9: that hands the government is taking the responsibility now for
- 1:51:04Speaker 9: determining how you're going to use your lot. If you've
- 1:51:07Speaker 9: got a lot in a downtown area or a rural area,
- 1:51:10Speaker 9: the government is going to have a plan for how
- 1:51:12Speaker 9: your lot gets used. It's no longer the old days
- 1:51:15Speaker 9: where we all got together and figured out where we
- 1:51:17Speaker 9: wanted to build houses and farms. Maybe there was some zoning.
- 1:51:20Speaker 9: That's not the case. Now they're the urban development plans.
- 1:51:23Speaker 9: They're going to urbanize the suburbs. And nobody even knows
- 1:51:27Speaker 9: this happened. It was a bipartisan bill that got 85
- 1:51:30Speaker 9: votes in the Senate. That means uniparty. And there's nothing
- 1:51:35Speaker 9: that passes by the uniparty that's in the interest of
- 1:51:38Speaker 9: the American people. When you flip the trade, the comment
- 1:51:44Speaker 9: the guy made about wine just a moment ago, he's
- 1:51:46Speaker 9: dead on. And he's getting right into the heart of
- 1:51:48Speaker 9: the matter. I heard the earlier caller thinking that somehow
- 1:51:54Speaker 9: wages are the factor that's driving things overseas and this
- 1:51:56Speaker 9: crazy idea that somehow we can drive wages up in
- 1:52:00Speaker 9: other countries. As if we can even set the wage here. Remember,
- 1:52:03Speaker 9: there's a reason why the federal wage is at $ 7. 25,
- 1:52:06Speaker 9: but if you go to a McDonald's, you're going to
- 1:52:08Speaker 9: get something. What are you going to get, $ 11, $ 12
- 1:52:09Speaker 9: an hour now? Nobody pays attention to the government minimum wage.
- 1:52:14Speaker 9: There's a market wage set by the market, and that's
- 1:52:17Speaker 9: what drives employment. We're not going to be able to
- 1:52:20Speaker 9: not only force wages through our country without causing all
- 1:52:23Speaker 9: kinds of economic dislocation. We can't force Canada to raise
- 1:52:27Speaker 9: its wages. But here's the thing. It doesn't matter. Because
- 1:52:31Speaker 9: whatever the argument about wages, you know, we were all
- 1:52:33Speaker 9: told we had to accept that we don't make anything
- 1:52:36Speaker 9: important anymore because other people do it for less. And
- 1:52:38Speaker 9: somehow these Americans accepted that. But the reality is it
- 1:52:42Speaker 9: is a sophisticated combination of export duties, export.
- 1:52:46Speaker 1: Stand by. For news. Oh, that was Paul Harvey. Stand by.
- 1:52:50Speaker 1: Back in a minute. News Radio 570. WKBN. Well, I've
- 1:52:58Speaker 1: told you many. KBN. All right. Go ahead. Pick up
- 1:53:01Speaker 1: with your thoughts.
- 1:53:02Speaker 8: G2.
- 1:53:02Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:53:03Speaker 9: So on trade, if you think wages are the determinant
- 1:53:06Speaker 9: factor in where products are manufactured, that may have been
- 1:53:10Speaker 9: true in 1980. It is certainly not the case now.
- 1:53:14Speaker 9: And it's not free to ship a vehicle or a
- 1:53:16Speaker 9: component 10,000 miles. So think about the cost of extending
- 1:53:20Speaker 9: your production line, say, from Lordstown all the way to Shanghai.
- 1:53:24Speaker 9: You have a lot of capital tied up and moving
- 1:53:26Speaker 9: things across the ocean. Why do they do it? Because
- 1:53:30Speaker 9: the Chinese, as a mercantilist war, as a trade war
- 1:53:33Speaker 9: they launched against us 40 years ago, used a complex
- 1:53:37Speaker 9: method of currency manipulation, export duties that load artificially their
- 1:53:43Speaker 9: raw material costs, and export subsidies. And what I mean is,
- 1:53:47Speaker 9: if you export something to a foreign market out of China,
- 1:53:50Speaker 9: the government would pay some of your costs, would subsidize
- 1:53:53Speaker 9: that product. If it was a low-value product, sort of
- 1:53:56Speaker 9: not fully finished, just a component, you'd get a little
- 1:53:58Speaker 9: bit of money. The more advanced the product was, the
- 1:54:02Speaker 9: more money you got, until finally when a product reached
- 1:54:05Speaker 9: the United States, it might only be 35%. It might
- 1:54:09Speaker 9: be 35% or 40% less than their actual cost to
- 1:54:13Speaker 9: produce because the government was subsidizing it. They were doing
- 1:54:17Speaker 9: it specifically to take that industry and those jobs out
- 1:54:20Speaker 9: of the United States. You are not going to combat
- 1:54:22Speaker 9: this with some fairy tale about controlling wages in foreign countries.
- 1:54:26Speaker 9: It's just, I don't know who's saying that. When you're
- 1:54:28Speaker 9: hearing this, it's crazy. Now, why don't you hear this
- 1:54:31Speaker 9: kind of talk regularly? Because the globalists... like that situation.
- 1:54:37Speaker 9: They enjoyed impoverishing you. They enjoyed shipping all those jobs overseas,
- 1:54:41Speaker 9: and they made trillions of dollars doing it. And China,
- 1:54:45Speaker 9: look at China's economy. It's thriving, and people are like,
- 1:54:47Speaker 9: that's the best model. You know what their model is?
- 1:54:50Speaker 9: leeching like a parasite off the United States and Europe,
- 1:54:53Speaker 9: stealing intellectual property, taking these industries, absorbing everything they could absorb.
- 1:54:58Speaker 9: You've seen this parade of announcements over the last couple
- 1:55:01Speaker 9: of days, or rather reports over the last couple of days,
- 1:55:03Speaker 9: of these professors that we paid for through DARPA and
- 1:55:06Speaker 9: other federal grant programs who developed advanced materials and other technologies,
- 1:55:11Speaker 9: who then immediately, when they left the university, went to
- 1:55:14Speaker 9: China and got paid to teach the Chinese exactly what
- 1:55:17Speaker 9: they developed for DARPA. This is a war. So one
- 1:55:21Speaker 9: of the critical weapons to use in that war is tariffs.
- 1:55:26Speaker 9: And this concept that it's just a tax on the people, okay,
- 1:55:28Speaker 9: come on. That is such an easy talking point for
- 1:55:32Speaker 9: someone who wants to continue exactly what Ross Perot was
- 1:55:36Speaker 9: complaining about, the exportation of all the high-value jobs, either
- 1:55:40Speaker 9: through offshoring or actually moving things overseas, the whole industry,
- 1:55:46Speaker 9: Like pharmaceuticals, you know, we don't make them anymore. I
- 1:55:48Speaker 9: went to China. You think that was because of labor?
- 1:55:51Speaker 9: And think about how much labor represents. In the 1970s, say,
- 1:55:54Speaker 9: steel in Youngstown, labor was probably 50%, 55%, something like that, 60%
- 1:55:57Speaker 9: of the cost. Somebody in this audience knows. Now it's
- 1:56:01Speaker 9: like 6.5%, 7%, 8%, 9%, depending on the product and process.
- 1:56:07Speaker 9: You can cut that in half. You're only 3% out.
- 1:56:09Speaker 9: In exchange, you're going to ship steal 10,000 miles? You
- 1:56:12Speaker 9: think that's an even exchange?
- 1:56:13Speaker 14: No.
- 1:56:13Speaker 9: It's government tax and trade policy that determines where these
- 1:56:17Speaker 9: things go. And Trump came back into that war. Now
- 1:56:21Speaker 9: we haven't even touched on the fentanyl war, locking down
- 1:56:23Speaker 9: the border, child trafficking. Hundreds of thousands of children have
- 1:56:27Speaker 9: not been raped because Donald Trump was elected.
- 1:56:31Speaker 1: So.
- 1:56:32Speaker 9: I understand the hate fest because we're paying $ 4 for
- 1:56:34Speaker 9: gas or $ 4. 50 or whatever it is.
- 1:56:37Speaker 6: I understand.
- 1:56:38Speaker 9: I don't like paying more for gas. I think this war,
- 1:56:41Speaker 9: as was said a minute ago, not in our national interest,
- 1:56:44Speaker 9: clearly directed by a foreign power. I don't think there's
- 1:56:48Speaker 9: any question about that. But we're in it. So now
- 1:56:51Speaker 9: what do we do? We just bitch? And what, we
- 1:56:55Speaker 9: elect Sherrod Brown back to the Senate because you think
- 1:56:58Speaker 9: Israel doesn't control those guys? Barry Goldwater in 1988 specifically
- 1:57:04Speaker 9: said Congress is occupied. Barry Goldwater was half Jewish. Did
- 1:57:12Speaker 9: I lose you?
- 1:57:13Speaker 1: No, I got you.
- 1:57:14Speaker 9: All right. So when you look at this, I think
- 1:57:18Speaker 9: there are just, we're having this massive case of memory
- 1:57:24Speaker 9: loss about all these important issues because we're paying more
- 1:57:27Speaker 9: for gas. I don't want to pay it. There are
- 1:57:30Speaker 9: real serious issues coming out of this war, and if
- 1:57:33Speaker 9: this thing expands, if they successfully expand it, it's going
- 1:57:35Speaker 9: to get worse. There's a path out of it. What
- 1:57:38Speaker 9: Scott Pesent said earlier this week about not creating an
- 1:57:41Speaker 9: economic element to the war, but rather accelerating that. We've
- 1:57:44Speaker 9: had an economic war with Iran since 1979. They're just
- 1:57:46Speaker 9: ramping it up. Dropping the kinetic side, I think, is
- 1:57:52Speaker 9: a mistake. They certainly cannot drop the embargo, the blockade.
- 1:57:57Speaker 9: They can't do that, and I think they should be
- 1:57:59Speaker 9: doing more to stop trade on the eastern side and
- 1:58:01Speaker 9: the northern side of the country.
- 1:58:02Speaker 1: Stand by for a minute. G2 on the end of
- 1:58:04Speaker 1: the line. Calls ahead. News Radio 570 WKBN. Ron Verp

- 1:59:54Speaker 9: Well, that's because that's the way I'm seeing this. I mean, look,
- 1:59:57Speaker 9: we are in the middle of a fight for the,
- 1:59:59Speaker 9: you know, for the future of this nation. Nothing has changed.
- 2:00:02Speaker 9: And it's like we're just reverting back to corporate media dumbness.

- 2:00:09Speaker 9: Of course, you've got the people at Fifth Avenue, got
- 2:00:11Speaker 9: these others that are just helpful because they bring in
- 2:00:14Speaker 9: that leftist crazy opinion. But let's face it. It was
- 2:00:17Speaker 9: a couple of years ago on this channel. We were
- 2:00:19Speaker 9: talking about 400,000 people dying of fentanyl in the United
- 2:00:23Speaker 9: States government, not just failing to make that stop, but
- 2:00:26Speaker 9: helping happen as a matter of policy. That changed when
- 2:00:30Speaker 9: Trump was elected. So I don't understand how we just
- 2:00:35Speaker 9: obsess on this gas price and this war as if
- 2:00:38Speaker 9: somehow none of these other things happen. I'll tell you,
- 2:00:40Speaker 9: do you think we wouldn't have had this war if
- 2:00:43Speaker 9: Kamala Harris was elected? You think Israel wouldn't have gotten
- 2:00:46Speaker 9: to her?
- 2:00:46Speaker 6: Easy.
- 2:00:48Speaker 9: Easy to get to her.
- 2:00:48Speaker 4: She cares about nothing.
- 2:00:50Speaker 9: But we also would have had the fentanyl continuing, the
- 2:00:52Speaker 9: child trafficking continuing. We'd have had the inflation continue. Oh,
- 2:00:55Speaker 9: and I know the inflation thing. We want to pretend
- 2:00:57Speaker 9: it all happened since February 28th. The reality is... At
- 2:01:01Speaker 9: one point this year, it wasn't for very long, very
- 2:01:05Speaker 9: short period, but it got down to 0.68. It's up
- 2:01:07Speaker 9: last time I checked around 2.3. We've actually had rents
- 2:01:11Speaker 9: falling in some key markets, mostly in the southeast. Why?
- 2:01:15Speaker 9: Because he locked down the border, he stopped the inflow,
- 2:01:17Speaker 9: and he cut off the payments of the federal government
- 2:01:20Speaker 9: paying the rent for a lot of these foreign nationals.
- 2:01:23Speaker 9: So now all of a sudden they don't have the
- 2:01:24Speaker 9: rent money. So do you get to buy that? You
- 2:01:27Speaker 9: get to rent that apartment. Guess what happens when suddenly
- 2:01:29Speaker 9: demand falls off? On this show, we talked months and
- 2:01:32Speaker 9: months ago about how rental occupancy or vacancy rather in
- 2:01:37Speaker 9: non-residential multifamily. I'm sorry.
- 2:01:39Speaker 7: Apologies.
- 2:01:41Speaker 9: How vacancy in residential multifamily dropped or increased to 7.2,
- 2:01:46Speaker 9: a number we hadn't seen in years. There was supply added,
- 2:01:49Speaker 9: but that was also on the demand side. You know
- 2:01:51Speaker 9: what happened a few months later? We got reports of
- 2:01:54Speaker 9: rents falling. These are things that have happened in our interest. Now,
- 2:01:57Speaker 9: this war, bad call, bad timing. I do not believe,
- 2:02:01Speaker 9: and I have looked into this fairly deeply, there was
- 2:02:05Speaker 9: a nuclear threat coming from Iran that was simply an excuse.
- 2:02:08Speaker 9: They didn't sell the war in advance because they thought
- 2:02:10Speaker 9: everybody would just accept it. So they just launched. Now,
- 2:02:15Speaker 9: the PR plan wasn't very good. But to say that
- 2:02:18Speaker 9: they didn't think the Strait of Hormuz would be locked
- 2:02:20Speaker 9: down is naive. I do think he believed. I think
- 2:02:23Speaker 9: that Israel convinced Trump that the people in Iran were
- 2:02:27Speaker 9: somehow standing by with rocks and sticks ready to take
- 2:02:30Speaker 9: over and run the IRGC out of power. I think
- 2:02:33Speaker 9: he may have bought that. I don't know. That's probably
- 2:02:36Speaker 9: the key miscalculation. But in terms of execution... You know,
- 2:02:41Speaker 9: they have destroyed thousands of locations inside Iran. They now
- 2:02:45Speaker 9: have the blockade up, which has been up since a
- 2:02:47Speaker 9: short time after the war started. You've got a country
- 2:02:50Speaker 9: now facing hyperinflation. They can't pay their government workers. They
- 2:02:53Speaker 9: can't pay the IRGC. They can't ship oil. They can't
- 2:02:56Speaker 9: ship other products. They can't import things. Yes, they have
- 2:03:00Speaker 9: cheap drones. Those are a very effective weapon. And they
- 2:03:02Speaker 9: have short-range missiles that are very accurate, somehow because of our...
- 2:03:06Speaker 9: are handcuffed to this military-industrial nightmare. We can't produce those things.
- 2:03:12Speaker 9: But to think that every day Iran gets stronger is
- 2:03:16Speaker 9: just stupid. They don't get stronger every day. Hyperinflation doesn't
- 2:03:20Speaker 9: make your country stronger. Now, I'm not looking for this
- 2:03:23Speaker 9: regime to collapse and, you know, have death in the streets.
- 2:03:26Speaker 9: That's Israel's goal. I don't care about that. Trump is
- 2:03:30Speaker 9: offering them a chance to have a better future. We
- 2:03:34Speaker 9: have to finish this thing. As we said, our choices
- 2:03:37Speaker 9: are walk away and deal with the outflow of that.
- 2:03:40Speaker 9: And that's not going to be pretty, right? Drop the nukes.
- 2:03:44Speaker 9: I just had somebody who told you a couple days
- 2:03:46Speaker 9: ago saying they want to drop the nukes. We've got
- 2:03:47Speaker 9: to finish this thing with the nukes.
- 2:03:49Speaker 8: That's crazy.
- 2:03:50Speaker 9: Or execute the economic and kinetic warfare that is going
- 2:03:54Speaker 9: to help bring this thing to a close that is negotiated.
- 2:03:58Speaker 9: where we can get to something that's going to work
- 2:04:00Speaker 9: and work for the Gulf partners that we have over there, who,
- 2:04:02Speaker 9: by the way, are completely ineffective in any kind of warfare,
- 2:04:06Speaker 9: because we are their weapon. We're Israel's weapon, and the
- 2:04:10Speaker 9: Gulf Coast countries wholly depend on us for defense. Hence,
- 2:04:14Speaker 9: oil flows around the world. Now, this hasn't been a
- 2:04:17Speaker 9: four-year war. It certainly hasn't been a ten-year war.
- 2:04:19Speaker 6: It's been months.
- 2:04:21Speaker 9: Hopefully, they can resolve it. Now, don't forget, though, I
- 2:04:25Speaker 9: think the comment was made the other day, it's like
- 2:04:26Speaker 9: 30 million barrels are missing. That's just crazy. There were
- 2:04:30Speaker 9: 21 million barrels coming through the Gulf. Many of those
- 2:04:33Speaker 9: are now being shipped out through pipelines in Saudi Arabia.
- 2:04:37Speaker 9: UAE's got a pipeline coming south of the Strait. You've
- 2:04:41Speaker 9: got now 900,000 barrels a day more coming out of Venezuela.
- 2:04:44Speaker 9: That's that beautiful, heavy, thick stuff we like in our
- 2:04:46Speaker 9: refineries on the Gulf Coast. One of the greatest problems
- 2:04:50Speaker 9: we have is this California limit. destroying those refineries. So
- 2:04:54Speaker 9: whoever's in there bragging about how great California is, figure
- 2:04:57Speaker 9: it out. Do a little work. Now you've got also
- 2:05:00Speaker 9: the problem of the Ukrainians using drones and our weaponry,
- 2:05:03Speaker 9: NATO's weaponry, to take out Russian infrastructure for diesel, jet fuel,
- 2:05:09Speaker 9: and gasoline, which over a period of about three months,
- 2:05:11Speaker 9: four months, they stopped exporting. We needed those gallons in
- 2:05:15Speaker 9: the market.
- 2:05:16Speaker 1: That was stupid.
- 2:05:18Speaker 9: And it was done to increase the pressure on the
- 2:05:20Speaker 9: United States by our fake allies that are globalists that
- 2:05:24Speaker 9: are controlling europe this thing with.
- 2:05:27Speaker 8: Canada yeah they have more.
- 2:05:30Speaker 9: Than 200 tariffs on some u.s goods and yet somehow
- 2:05:33Speaker 9: we're supposed to what we're supposed to ignore that like
- 2:05:35Speaker 9: we always have continue to drain our economy run up
- 2:05:38Speaker 9: our debt so that canada can continue its third world
- 2:05:41Speaker 9: repopulation program that's crazy now canada's trying to realign with
- 2:05:47Speaker 9: europe because they aren't finding a way to get us
- 2:05:49Speaker 9: to subsidize the economy anymore Well, of course, the Europeans
- 2:05:53Speaker 9: need the Canadian resources, but what they really need is
- 2:05:56Speaker 9: to conquer Russia so they can live off of those resources, people,
- 2:06:00Speaker 9: and land, and use that to fix what they've done
- 2:06:02Speaker 9: to the economies in Europe, which are in deep distress.
- 2:06:06Speaker 9: On this thing with Japan, the way Besson executed that
- 2:06:09Speaker 9: move the other day was brilliant.
- 2:06:11Speaker 13: It was genius, really.
- 2:06:13Speaker 9: It didn't hurt us at all, and it allowed them
- 2:06:15Speaker 9: to not have this crisis with the... Yeah, well, Kevin
- 2:06:18Speaker 9: did a little bit. But let's be clear. They've been
- 2:06:22Speaker 9: running zero-interest economy, an artificially low interest rate for decades.
- 2:06:27Speaker 9: That economy has a problem in that it's on an island,
- 2:06:30Speaker 9: and it's got no raw materials. It's got high costs
- 2:06:33Speaker 9: because it's an island. They also have high labor costs.
- 2:06:37Speaker 9: So they have to ship everything in, convert it, and
- 2:06:40Speaker 9: ship it out if they're doing manufacturing. And that's what
- 2:06:42Speaker 9: the Japanese economy was built on post-World War II. I
- 2:06:46Speaker 9: don't know how this comes back to being Trump's fault.
- 2:06:49Speaker 9: But I think it was smart of the Senate to
- 2:06:50Speaker 9: make this move, hold $ 1. 2 or so trillion of our debt,
- 2:06:54Speaker 9: and we didn't want them liquidating that. That's just logical.
- 2:06:56Speaker 9: I don't understand the scandalous nature of this. So what
- 2:07:00Speaker 9: I'm saying is every little bullet point that could be
- 2:07:04Speaker 9: twisted or manipulated into being Trump sucks is being done,
- 2:07:08Speaker 9: and we're ignoring all the good things that happened. And then,
- 2:07:12Speaker 9: because we can't seem to have, you know, sort of
- 2:07:15Speaker 9: a fact-based conversation about the critical issues, we're just conflating
- 2:07:19Speaker 9: everything into one big emotional thing. That was the first
- 2:07:28Speaker 9: fracture in the Trump coalition. Those fractures continued as he
- 2:07:44Speaker 9: started to take down the deportations. And in response to
- 2:07:48Speaker 9: the media and, frankly, the fact that we didn't stand
- 2:07:50Speaker 9: up loudly enough to keep deporting, he began to drive
- 2:07:53Speaker 9: down those deportations. That took a backseat. We don't see
- 2:07:56Speaker 9: the same kind of numbers that we expected. We're way
- 2:07:58Speaker 9: behind on deportations. I don't know if he's yet caught
- 2:08:01Speaker 9: up to Obama. So that began to fracture the Trump coalition.
- 2:08:05Speaker 9: Then he came out with the H-1Bs and said, hey,
- 2:08:07Speaker 9: not so fast. That helped hurt the coalition. Then the
- 2:08:10Speaker 9: 600,000 Chinese students, listen, I want those people out of here.
- 2:08:15Speaker 9: I want American people in those seats. I want American
- 2:08:17Speaker 9: students being educated. And I don't care that the Chinese
- 2:08:20Speaker 9: Communist Party will pay more.
- 2:08:21Speaker 1: All right. At some point, we've got to pause here.
- 2:08:26Speaker 1: I mean, with all due respect on all of this,
- 2:08:31Speaker 1: in all reality, I mean, people aren't here to hear
- 2:08:33Speaker 1: a lecture. A college professor gave a lecture here on
- 2:08:36Speaker 1: how they should love Trump. And you don't understand.
- 2:08:39Speaker 9: It's not about how you should love Trump.
- 2:08:40Speaker 8: No, no, no.
- 2:08:41Speaker 1: Hang on. I'm not done yet. We listened. Everybody listened.
- 2:08:45Speaker 1: There's plenty of criticism about what Trump is doing. Plenty
- 2:08:49Speaker 1: of these people are criticizing the lack of leadership from
- 2:08:53Speaker 1: Trump when it comes to getting this agenda codified. Number one,
- 2:08:58Speaker 1: people are criticizing Trump. You know, you want to blow
- 2:09:01Speaker 1: off like gas prices. Oh, everybody's bitching because gas is
- 2:09:04Speaker 1: 430 gallons. This is real economic harm to our citizens.
- 2:09:10Speaker 9: I'm not willing to forget every single other thing.
- 2:09:15Speaker 1: Okay, but you won't let me finish the thought. We
- 2:09:18Speaker 1: sat here and we've listened for 20 minutes of you
- 2:09:21Speaker 1: talk about all of this stuff, like a college professor
- 2:09:24Speaker 1: to everybody on why you should love Trump and overlook
- 2:09:28Speaker 1: all of this stuff. Well, there's plenty of reasons why
- 2:09:31Speaker 1: people don't love Trump. Epstein was the first mistake he made,
- 2:09:35Speaker 1: and you admitted it was a huge mistake.
- 2:09:37Speaker 9: I just said that.
- 2:09:38Speaker 1: How he handled it.
- 2:09:38Speaker 9: I'm not giving you a lecture on loving Trump.
- 2:09:40Speaker 6: Okay.
- 2:09:40Speaker 1: That's not what I'm doing.
- 2:09:41Speaker 8: No, no.
- 2:09:42Speaker 1: You're trying to say, well, you don't. So that was
- 2:09:44Speaker 1: a huge mistake he made. No one else, but he
- 2:09:47Speaker 1: made this mistake. The situation with this doesn't matter. Okay.
- 2:09:54Speaker 1: He owns it. Agreed. All right. So let me give
- 2:09:57Speaker 1: you a little reality. So the war situation, doesn't matter
- 2:10:02Speaker 1: whether it was Netanyahu, doesn't matter why he did it,
- 2:10:05Speaker 1: but he did it. Yes. And he got us into
- 2:10:10Speaker 1: this mess. And it is a mess. And quite frankly,
- 2:10:15Speaker 1: all Iran's got to do is survive. And guess what?
- 2:10:20Speaker 1: All of the BS that we've heard from him, that
- 2:10:22Speaker 1: everybody's heard from him, they're on the verge of surrendering.
- 2:10:25Speaker 1: They're going to give in. They didn't do it. The
- 2:10:27Speaker 1: 60-day truce. They want to reach an agreement. They didn't
- 2:10:30Speaker 1: do it. The next 60-day truce. We're going to bomb
- 2:10:33Speaker 1: them back to the Stone Age. Stop doing that. Now
- 2:10:35Speaker 1: we're going to get them economically. Everything keeps changing from
- 2:10:40Speaker 1: his strategy and what he's saying. From here to here
- 2:10:43Speaker 1: to here to here. It's almost like a scatterbrain approach.
- 2:10:47Speaker 1: And yet... Iran is sitting there saying, all we've got
- 2:10:50Speaker 1: to do is survive all of this. That's not what
- 2:10:54Speaker 1: they're doing, but I understand your point. But you're going
- 2:10:58Speaker 1: on with this. But that's where it is right now.
- 2:11:01Speaker 1: Because that's not what they're doing.
- 2:11:04Speaker 9: What they're doing now is saying, how do we pay
- 2:11:06Speaker 9: the IRGC? They are in deep distress. You know what?
- 2:11:10Speaker 1: We are in deep distress here with the American people.
- 2:11:13Speaker 1: If you don't see the deep distress that's out there
- 2:11:15Speaker 1: with the American people that are concerned about gas prices
- 2:11:18Speaker 1: and inflation, it's fine to say, OK, all this inflation.
- 2:11:22Speaker 1: You know, Trump created some of the inflation under COVID.
- 2:11:25Speaker 1: Trump issued checks under COVID. Biden added to it. But
- 2:11:28Speaker 1: even if you say whatever numbers you want to give, 3.4, 3.2, whatever,
- 2:11:32Speaker 1: is on top of the current inflation. It's the same
- 2:11:39Speaker 1: argument that Biden was making when it went from 5%
- 2:11:43Speaker 1: to 9%. Well, inflation, the Biden administration, you say, well,
- 2:11:46Speaker 1: inflation was down to 2.7. What are we saying this program?
- 2:11:50Speaker 1: But you're forgetting that's 2.7 on top of the already inflation.
- 2:11:54Speaker 1: It keeps going up. And so you can say whatever
- 2:11:57Speaker 1: you want about Trump and the inflation, it keeps adding
- 2:12:00Speaker 1: to it. I go back to say this to you.
- 2:12:02Speaker 1: You're losing the focus. The American people elected him. Not
- 2:12:06Speaker 1: at all. Yes, you are. They elected him.
- 2:12:08Speaker 9: I agree entirely with your comment. The question then is, okay,
- 2:12:10Speaker 9: so what is the analysis and what do we do
- 2:12:12Speaker 9: about it?
- 2:12:13Speaker 1: They elected him.
- 2:12:13Speaker 9: As long as Congress is spending trillions, we are going
- 2:12:16Speaker 9: to continue to have inflation. It's that simple. You know,
- 2:12:19Speaker 9: Trump removed a trillion-two in regulatory burdens with one executive order.
- 2:12:23Speaker 9: That's why we got inflation down. Congress spends an extra... Well,
- 2:12:27Speaker 9: he's brought it back.
- 2:12:29Speaker 1: He's brought it right back. So all I'm saying to
- 2:12:32Speaker 1: you is some of these mistakes he's made, he owns.
- 2:12:37Speaker 1: I was just reading an email. I've got to find it.
- 2:12:42Speaker 1: You know, G2, stop blaming Obama and Biden for everything.
- 2:12:46Speaker 1: I forget what I... I've got to go back and
- 2:12:48Speaker 1: find it. But needless to say.
- 2:12:50Speaker 9: If you don't blame Obama for the health care costs,
- 2:12:52Speaker 9: you're not paying attention to the Affordable Care Act.
- 2:12:55Speaker 1: But he owns it. At some point.
- 2:12:57Speaker 9: He owns the Affordable Care Act?
- 2:12:58Speaker 1: At some point, two years in, he owns a lot
- 2:13:01Speaker 1: of these decisions that he made.
- 2:13:03Speaker 9: Do you think Trump's responsible for the Affordable Care Act?
- 2:13:06Speaker 1: No, I'm not talking about the Affordable Care Act. I'm
- 2:13:09Speaker 1: talking about he owns it. At some point, he's got
- 2:13:12Speaker 1: to sit there and say, I failed the mission that
- 2:13:16Speaker 1: I got elected on, and there's a lot of pissed
- 2:13:19Speaker 1: off people that voted for me that are upset about it. Now,
- 2:13:23Speaker 1: they have a right to be upset about it. Of
- 2:13:25Speaker 1: course they do. That doesn't mean they're going to go
- 2:13:28Speaker 1: vote for Sherrod Brown. And it doesn't mean like if
- 2:13:32Speaker 1: this war was a mistake and a strait is closed
- 2:13:35Speaker 1: and oil prices continue to go up, at what point
- 2:13:37Speaker 1: do you assess what do we do now? Because he
- 2:13:40Speaker 1: put us in a position of we're doing this and
- 2:13:42Speaker 1: it didn't work. We're doing that and it didn't work.
- 2:13:44Speaker 1: Now we're going to do this and see if it works.
- 2:13:46Speaker 1: We're not going to be in this for a year.
- 2:13:48Speaker 1: The American public is not supportive of this, was not
- 2:13:51Speaker 1: asked about this. Congress wasn't asked about this. He wasn't
- 2:13:55Speaker 1: for these endless wars in the Middle East. And now
- 2:13:58Speaker 1: we're six months in. What do you want to be,
- 2:14:00Speaker 1: a year in? Is it okay? At what point do
- 2:14:02Speaker 1: you say, after eight months, a year, that this was
- 2:14:04Speaker 1: a mistake? To get the hell out of it.
- 2:14:12Speaker 9: This was a mistake on February 29th.
- 2:14:13Speaker 1: All right. But your answer is, at what point do
- 2:14:16Speaker 1: you say, he's done everything and Iran isn't rolling over.
- 2:14:21Speaker 1: They're not giving up. He kept telling us they're on
- 2:14:23Speaker 1: the verge of giving up. Those were all lies. They
- 2:14:26Speaker 1: were absolute lies. In other words, Trump talks all this
- 2:14:30Speaker 1: bull crap a lot of times, and it's meaningless. Well,
- 2:14:34Speaker 1: we got it now.
- 2:14:35Speaker 9: I don't listen as much to what he's saying as
- 2:14:37Speaker 9: you guys do, because I'm looking more at what's actually happening.
- 2:14:39Speaker 9: I know the truth is you don't think all the time.
- 2:14:42Speaker 1: You don't think.
- 2:14:43Speaker 9: And we know that's not true.
- 2:14:46Speaker 1: If you don't realize people are concerned about their own
- 2:14:49Speaker 1: financial situation in their household and what's going.
- 2:14:53Speaker 9: On right now, just as you realize that.
- 2:14:56Speaker 1: Just as they were concerned under Biden. Because I've said
- 2:14:58Speaker 1: this to you before.
- 2:14:59Speaker 9: And I think we should address the issues that are
- 2:15:01Speaker 9: affecting that.
- 2:15:02Speaker 1: You know what? But you're making the same argument. You're
- 2:15:05Speaker 1: trying to justify why you should still love Trump and
- 2:15:09Speaker 1: almost act like, so what are you bitching about, 430
- 2:15:11Speaker 1: a gallon gas? That's the only argument Biden was making
- 2:15:14Speaker 1: when gas.
- 2:15:15Speaker 6: Prices were high.
- 2:15:15Speaker 9: No, no, no, no, no, no. What I'm saying is
- 2:15:17Speaker 9: we have to stop being just emotional about this.
- 2:15:20Speaker 1: This is not emotional. People are. Why is it that
- 2:15:24Speaker 1: you had it? Why is it emotional?
- 2:15:27Speaker 9: We still have the war and we'd have a whole
- 2:15:29Speaker 9: lot of other big problems.
- 2:15:30Speaker 1: Why is it emotional if they disagree with you?
- 2:15:33Speaker 9: Why is it that they disagree? You listen to what
- 2:15:36Speaker 9: they're saying. They've set aside all of the things that
- 2:15:38Speaker 9: have happened. They are conflating all these things. It's a
- 2:15:42Speaker 9: gooey conversation now. It used to be just a few
- 2:15:45Speaker 9: months ago, a lot more fact-based. Now it's just repeating
- 2:15:50Speaker 9: what they hear on TV.
- 2:15:51Speaker 1: I don't agree with that.
- 2:15:53Speaker 9: That's where the conversation is going.
- 2:15:55Speaker 1: I don't agree with that.
- 2:15:56Speaker 14: And because this is the first war in our lifetimes.
- 2:15:57Speaker 9: We've had to pay for, we're very emotionally engaged in
- 2:16:00Speaker 9: this one. I was just pissed off at a black one.
- 2:16:03Speaker 1: I don't think that, I think it's insulting to every
- 2:16:06Speaker 1: listener out there to say, you only have the facts
- 2:16:09Speaker 1: and everyone else is emotional.
- 2:16:12Speaker 9: They all have the facts.
- 2:16:13Speaker 1: They all have the facts. They can disagree with your facts.
- 2:16:15Speaker 14: When you go up and talk about wages being.
- 2:16:18Speaker 9: The determining factor on where a product is manufactured, that's
- 2:16:21Speaker 9: just not it.
- 2:16:22Speaker 1: Listen, I told that guy about that. We put that
- 2:16:25Speaker 1: behind us. We are not here to prosecute each caller.
- 2:16:31Speaker 1: That was his opinion. He was wrong. We move on
- 2:16:34Speaker 1: from it. Okay? And we talked about tariffs and jobs.
- 2:16:38Speaker 1: But by God to sit here and try to act like,
- 2:16:41Speaker 1: you know, hey, folks out there, all of you that
- 2:16:43Speaker 1: are affected by this inflation, these high gas prices, you're
- 2:16:47Speaker 1: all being emotional. That isn't emotional. That's an economic reality
- 2:16:51Speaker 1: in every damn one of those households right now.
- 2:16:56Speaker 9: Yes, and I'm not happy about it. Not one bit.
- 2:16:58Speaker 1: But you want everybody just to say, suck it up.
- 2:17:01Speaker 1: We stopped fentanyl. And if you've got to pay $ 5
- 2:17:06Speaker 1: a gallon, suck it up. They're not going to suck
- 2:17:08Speaker 1: it up. Hang on. Back with G2.
- 2:17:09Speaker 14: That's not what I'm saying.
- 2:17:10Speaker 1: Back in a minute. iHeartRadio. Talk Station 570 WKBN. Back
- 2:17:18Speaker 1: to it with G2 News Radio 570 WKBN. My point is...
- 2:17:22Speaker 1: It's insulting to anyone that disagrees with you. And I
- 2:17:26Speaker 1: will always give airtime to the people who disagree because
- 2:17:29Speaker 1: there are differing views and opinions from people's experiences in life.
- 2:17:34Speaker 1: And to discount them as, oh, they're just all being
- 2:17:37Speaker 1: emotional because they don't agree with you is wrong and arrogant.
- 2:17:41Speaker 1: And people have a right to say they are concerned
- 2:17:45Speaker 1: about this war and this mess and the energy situation.
- 2:17:51Speaker 1: and what's going on in this country and where this
- 2:17:57Speaker 1: is all headed. And no, you shouldn't be concerned about
- 2:17:59Speaker 1: that because he did something about fentanyl.
- 2:18:02Speaker 14: But Ron, that's not what I'm saying.
- 2:18:04Speaker 9: What I'm saying is I also am unhappy about the
- 2:18:07Speaker 9: gas price. As you well know, I did not support
- 2:18:09Speaker 9: them going into this war or RAC 1 or RAC 2, Kuwait,
- 2:18:13Speaker 9: none of it. I did not support that. I think
- 2:18:16Speaker 9: that was a mistake, both in timing and purpose. It
- 2:18:18Speaker 9: was not for us. I think the Epstein thing was
- 2:18:20Speaker 9: a mistake. We talked about that. But I do think
- 2:18:23Speaker 9: that not having 400,000 more dead people from fentanyl is
- 2:18:25Speaker 9: good and hundreds of thousands fewer children raped is good.
- 2:18:28Speaker 9: I think having trillions of dollars of regulations reduced is good.
- 2:18:31Speaker 9: I'm not saying disregard what you're angry about. And it's
- 2:18:34Speaker 9: great that you put on opposing voices. That's fabulous. What
- 2:18:37Speaker 9: I'm saying is let's not lose sight of everything for
- 2:18:40Speaker 9: one thing.
- 2:18:41Speaker 1: But maybe one thing can overshadow everything else.
- 2:18:48Speaker 9: You're saying a $ 4 gas price overshadows hundreds.
- 2:18:51Speaker 14: Of thousands of late children?
- 2:18:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm saying perhaps. And we don't know until we
- 2:18:55Speaker 1: get to the midterms. We don't know.
- 2:18:59Speaker 14: The midterms are, look, these guys are in deep trouble.
- 2:19:01Speaker 1: But if he destroys... If he puts the Democrats in charge,
- 2:19:06Speaker 1: go look in the mirror. He's to blame. And the
- 2:19:09Speaker 1: agenda gets shot in the ass because of him and
- 2:19:13Speaker 1: because of what he did. And the next two years
- 2:19:16Speaker 1: will be a living hell. And he can't be blaming
- 2:19:19Speaker 1: me or anybody else. He better go look in the mirror.
- 2:19:22Speaker 1: He better figure out, maybe I made a big mistake.
- 2:19:25Speaker 1: Maybe I misread everything here. The same thing the Democrats did.
- 2:19:29Speaker 9: No, I think he knows who he's reacting to. The
- 2:19:32Speaker 9: first mistake was the Republicans in Congress refusing to take
- 2:19:35Speaker 9: up our agenda and carry it forward. That's where this
- 2:19:37Speaker 9: began to crack. That's going to culminate in what happens
- 2:19:39Speaker 9: in these midterms, and I think it's going to be brutal.
- 2:19:41Speaker 9: And I do not think that thinking people are going
- 2:19:43Speaker 9: to go vote for Sharon Brown. I pray to.
- 2:19:46Speaker 1: God they won't. I hope to God they wouldn't. But
- 2:19:50Speaker 1: I keep reading the Democrats got the momentum on their side,
- 2:19:55Speaker 1: and there's a lot of Republicans. He's pissed off. Trump
- 2:19:59Speaker 1: is pissed off and turned on that they're not enthusiastically
- 2:20:03Speaker 1: going to go out and vote.
- 2:20:05Speaker 9: And it's not just Trump. I mean, we spent a
- 2:20:08Speaker 9: year complaining about Johnson not advancing the agenda and spending money.
- 2:20:12Speaker 1: Trump's going to get to this whole cabal. It's going
- 2:20:15Speaker 1: to come back to bite him. We shall see. All right, G2.
- 2:20:19Speaker 9: It's going to bite the Republican Party in the ass
- 2:20:21Speaker 9: in the midterm.
- 2:20:21Speaker 1: And that will hurt Trump.
- 2:20:24Speaker 9: Yes, and mostly, guess what? It hurts us.
- 2:20:26Speaker 1: That is right. So maybe you have to sit back
- 2:20:30Speaker 1: and say, was this a mistake and do we continue this?
- 2:20:33Speaker 1: To go down the same road of this mistake. I
- 2:20:35Speaker 1: don't know. We shall see. We'll talk more tomorrow or
- 2:20:38Speaker 1: tomorrow's Wednesday. Tomorrow, Wednesday, we should be able to talk
- 2:20:41Speaker 1: more with you, too. We'll hoot, holler, argue, throw things
- 2:20:45Speaker 1: at the wall.
- 2:20:45Speaker 9: Fantastic.
- 2:20:46Speaker 14: I love it.
- 2:20:48Speaker 1: Sorry, Ryan. On NewsRadio 570, nobody came yet. Thanks. Have
- 2:20:53Speaker 1: a good night, everybody. Guys, if you want the greatest
- 2:20:56Speaker 1: night of your life.
