- 0:33Speaker 3: Jason, you want to wake up in an alleyway, rigel
- 0:39Speaker 3: down on the ground with you ever wing full costumed
- 0:45Speaker 3: out standing at the front of the alley.
- 0:49Speaker 2: I'm on top of the burning library.
- 0:52Speaker 1: I'm just on top of it.
- 0:54Speaker 2: So for now, I'm good.
- 0:56Speaker 3: I'm on top of it.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Now that your name has cleared her, are you gonna
- 1:06Speaker 2: unfake your death and like try and reclaim your identity?
- 1:10Speaker 2: I guess that's what I'm thinking about. I don't I
- 1:13Speaker 2: don't know.
- 1:13Speaker 4: If my name is cleared, probably would be plenty of
- 1:16Speaker 4: people out there who wouldn't believe me if I unfaked it.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Lance, who's overhearing your conversation, says, hey, you stocked your mom.
- 1:25Speaker 3: Yeah she might, Uh, it might be no big deal.
- 1:28Speaker 1: I don't know. She can. She's in the Laise. You know,
- 1:31Speaker 1: she's a lawyer.
- 1:32Speaker 2: She's in the Laise.
- 1:33Speaker 1: She's in the Laise, she's a.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Law I know.
- 1:36Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:37Speaker 2: She she gave me a call.
- 1:38Speaker 4: I just I've been I've been busy and I haven't
- 1:40Speaker 4: wanted to bring them into this, you know.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I understand. I understand, but it might be a
- 1:45Speaker 2: good time. Well be gone, dear. Is that much work today?
- 1:50Speaker 3: Sure?
- 1:50Speaker 2: Yeah, of course yes, I'll sell it a flight star.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Hold out my arms for my compatriots to grab.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Come back in a week, all right, thank you.
- 2:00Speaker 2: One week from tonight.
- 2:29Speaker 3: When she heard that the library was on fire, she
- 2:33Speaker 3: rushed to make sure that Arthur and Jason were okay.
- 2:37Speaker 3: She was there when Jason fell to his knees by
- 2:41Speaker 3: Arthur's side within the flames, having already lost all his paper.
- 2:46Speaker 3: She was there when the flog entered menacingly from all angles.
- 2:52Speaker 3: She tried to break through the line of first responders
- 2:54Speaker 3: but wasn't able to. And then she was there when
- 2:58Speaker 3: a woman in a fly eying mech suit streaked out
- 3:02Speaker 3: of the front door of the library, carrying an unconscious
- 3:05Speaker 3: Jason and another bruised hero now page right. Peeks her
- 3:12Speaker 3: head down the alleyway where our beat up heroes lay
- 3:17Speaker 3: and sees Jason wake up conscious Jason. She runs after
- 3:27Speaker 3: she dodges a very sloppy punch from Jackie, who's standing
- 3:32Speaker 3: at the entry of the alley. It's okay, it's okay,
- 3:36Speaker 3: I'm a friend, and she runs to your side, Jason Page, Jason,
- 3:42Speaker 3: are you okay? What happened? It's kind of a long story. Uh,
- 3:50Speaker 3: you probably shouldn't be here. No, what are you saying? Stop?
- 3:55Speaker 2: Are you is Arthur Oka? Are you okay?
- 4:01Speaker 3: No?
- 4:04Speaker 2: What do you mean?
- 4:08Speaker 1: Arthur's Arthur's gone?
- 4:26Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, Paige.
- 4:31Speaker 1: It it's my fault. It's all.
- 4:34Speaker 3: It's all that paper Monster's fault. He's the reason the
- 4:39Speaker 3: mob is after the library. He killed their boss. I
- 4:42Speaker 3: saw it, and now they want their revenge. They took
- 4:45Speaker 3: it out on Arthur. What is that thing? Why is
- 4:51Speaker 3: it attached to the library? Jason No.
- 4:58Speaker 1: A hug Page.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Making a confused face at Jackie, looking down at Uh,
- 5:08Speaker 2: at Jamir in the alley, looking around. Uh, hang on, Page,
- 5:15Speaker 2: hang on? Where's Page? Do you mind? Can do you?
- 5:22Speaker 2: Can you give us a second?
- 5:24Speaker 3: She's just sobbing into your shoulder and she's unresponsive in
- 5:31Speaker 3: this moment, I'll just mouth to Jackie then, Yeah, Jackie
- 5:37Speaker 3: in these big in this huge, beautiful suit, shrugs her
- 5:41Speaker 3: giant her shoulders, looks down at Jamir.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Ma you to audio engineer that part.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Shoulders up.
- 5:54Speaker 3: She shrugs, and she goes over to jamiir and and
- 5:58Speaker 3: starts shaking chel.
- 6:03Speaker 6: Fuck well sorry with zero HP am I you said
- 6:09Speaker 6: I'm allowed to talk. I'm not like unconscious per se correct. Yeah,
- 6:14Speaker 6: you're incapacitated. You're just fucked up.
- 6:17Speaker 3: You're not gonna do any actions, but you are, you
- 6:20Speaker 3: are conscious. I think it depends on like the it
- 6:24Speaker 3: depends on how you go unconscious. I think just being
- 6:27Speaker 3: shot with a bunch of bullets, or how you get incapacitated.
- 6:30Speaker 3: I think just getting shot with a bunch of bullets.
- 6:33Speaker 3: In Rigel's case, you're you're still able to talk and converse.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Okay, can we go? Oh?
- 6:44Speaker 3: Jackie leans down. You see the everwing mask. You hear
- 6:48Speaker 3: her saying wait one second and yeah okay, and the
- 6:54Speaker 3: visor flips up and you see her face in there.
- 6:59Speaker 3: It is you can only see like her nose and
- 7:03Speaker 3: the top of her head because the rest is underneath
- 7:05Speaker 3: the mask where it's supposed to be too short. She's
- 7:08Speaker 3: too short for the suit. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's it's
- 7:12Speaker 3: it's me. But yeah, don't use my real name, right.
- 7:15Speaker 3: She winks page here? Yeah, yeah, Page is over there.
- 7:20Speaker 7: Oh she looks bad. Yeah we lost, but we did it.
- 7:27Speaker 7: Die and maybe a good way to put it. Let's
- 7:30Speaker 7: get us home, please, Okay, hang tight.
- 7:34Speaker 3: Her visor goes back down and she grabs you can.
- 7:40Speaker 3: I'm just dead fishing, Jason. What are you doing right now?
- 7:46Speaker 3: Page is still just hanging out here. Huh yeah, blaming
- 7:50Speaker 3: the phantom for all of their woes.
- 7:54Speaker 1: She's not wrong.
- 7:58Speaker 3: I can't do anything if she's here, though, Jason, do
- 8:05Speaker 3: you have something to do?
- 8:07Speaker 2: Or no? There's nothing I could do and she's here.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Page is crying with you on you cursing the name
- 8:15Speaker 3: of the paper Phantom, not knowing that in the paper
- 8:19Speaker 3: Phantom's arms, she rests.
- 8:23Speaker 2: You.
- 8:24Speaker 3: Send out your paper sense a little bit in this
- 8:27Speaker 3: alley way, just looking for some trash, just going back
- 8:29Speaker 3: to a comfort and you see a paper bag in
- 8:34Speaker 3: this alley, but you can't feel the paper bag.
- 8:40Speaker 1: There's a disconnect.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Uh oh, we get out of your Page, Yeah, okay,
- 8:53Speaker 2: we could go to my place.
- 8:54Speaker 3: I want to get out of here, gotcha? Quanta conscious?
- 9:07Speaker 3: You wake up in a fire zip. That's a fire zeppelin. Woo,
- 9:14Speaker 3: it's one hovering. It's one of the hovering Zeppelins. It's
- 9:18Speaker 3: over top of the library. Tons it shoots tons and
- 9:21Speaker 3: tons of water down onto the fire. The fire has
- 9:25Speaker 3: been put out. One of the firemen has you in
- 9:30Speaker 3: his arms. He's a young man around your age. As
- 9:34Speaker 3: your eyes open, he has brown, wavy hair and he's sweaty.
- 9:39Speaker 1: His face is smeared with you. Keep going.
- 9:45Speaker 3: His face is smeared with ash and he's speaking. As
- 9:49Speaker 3: you wakes. He's saying, get away from her. She's a hero.
- 9:52Speaker 3: She probably wants to keep that mask on. She's had
- 9:55Speaker 3: a tough day. Give her that courtesy. And he's showing
- 9:59Speaker 3: others her first responder fireman away you. Hear one of
- 10:03Speaker 3: the other firemen say the police said they want to
- 10:06Speaker 3: know her identity. He says, well, we're not the police,
- 10:09Speaker 3: are we. She's she's waking up. Back off, she said,
- 10:13Speaker 3: that's a fireman.
- 10:14Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:15Speaker 3: As he sees your eyes open, he says, ah, Hi,
- 10:20Speaker 3: I'm Joshua.
- 10:21Speaker 1: You're you're okay. Hi, thank you you're safe.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Oh, thank thank you. I'm Quanta.
- 10:30Speaker 3: Yeah, good to meet you. I saw you in the paper.
- 10:33Speaker 3: My name is Joshua. I'm a fireman.
- 10:35Speaker 4: Yeah, he said, Oh, did I did I bring my poster?
- 10:40Speaker 4: Start feeling around for the Sherlock Holmes poster.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:43Speaker 1: He lifts it up.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's right here, Sherlock Holmes. Yeah, I nectared
- 10:48Speaker 2: all over it.
- 10:50Speaker 3: Yeah, there's there's some day nectar on it. It's also
- 10:54Speaker 3: burnt in a few places. But if it's important to you,
- 10:58Speaker 3: and we tried to keep it, because that's that's really nice.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Well, better get going.
- 11:03Speaker 1: I start trying to roll off.
- 11:05Speaker 2: No, no, hey, hey, hey hey.
- 11:07Speaker 3: He he puts you back down with a gentle, firm hand.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Just it's okay.
- 11:14Speaker 3: You can rest, you're you're safe in here, and we
- 11:18Speaker 3: can we can zip you zeppelin to where wherever you
- 11:20Speaker 3: need to go. But you don't have to. The fire's
- 11:24Speaker 3: out and the flog is gone.
- 11:28Speaker 4: Was there anyone in the building, just the old man Arthur?
- 11:34Speaker 4: His name was Arthur M.
- 11:37Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Sorry, we couldn't get here quicker. You and me both.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Got any like electrolytes?
- 11:51Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah.
- 11:52Speaker 3: He goes over and there's like a police cocktail bar
- 11:57Speaker 3: and he shakes he shakes you up. A gator rade,
- 12:02Speaker 3: a data rade, a data rade, and why because I'm
- 12:05Speaker 3: a Day.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Because you're a Day.
- 12:07Speaker 1: That's data rade.
- 12:09Speaker 2: But anyone can drink it, right, non gators drink gatorade. Yeah,
- 12:18Speaker 2: it's in you. But specifically Day, but it's also for everyone.
- 12:23Speaker 4: It's juice in you, data Rade. I'm having it at
- 12:27Speaker 4: Grimace King. There's a special edition, data Rade.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Yes, I love.
- 12:31Speaker 2: A limited edition.
- 12:32Speaker 1: I know you do. Man, I love it.
- 12:35Speaker 3: You can only get yeah data ade. Baha, yeah, I
- 12:41Speaker 3: was going to try to come home with something more clever.
- 12:43Speaker 4: Oh sorry, tropical Oh tropical tushies is good.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Babble bash data Rade. No, all right, didn't work that time. Hey,
- 12:59Speaker 1: you try to come with something clever.
- 13:01Speaker 6: You did, dude, bespect Oh man, uh quanta, you're given
- 13:09Speaker 6: a uh a dataade?
- 13:11Speaker 4: And is there like I don't I don't really want
- 13:17Speaker 4: to go to the hospital? Is there just like anyone
- 13:19Speaker 4: on board who can like, stitch me up quick and
- 13:21Speaker 4: I can get out of your beautiful brown hair?
- 13:26Speaker 3: Oh uh oh yeah, I actually I have some first
- 13:32Speaker 3: aid and I was at EMT for a while.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Great, have ab at it. I start lifting up my
- 13:38Speaker 1: shirt all right.
- 13:40Speaker 3: He starts stitching you up, applying the kind of salves
- 13:46Speaker 3: for burns that they have on I'm sure firemen have.
- 13:50Speaker 1: This is your city, do you?
- 13:51Speaker 2: I mean the kind of salves they have, they have
- 13:56Speaker 2: sALS burns.
- 13:57Speaker 6: They probably salves you want and human salves.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Right, they got the day.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Yeah, the separate day, first day, first date.
- 14:08Speaker 3: Yeah, they have first day Gator maybe it's Gator Day,
- 14:12Speaker 3: Gater Day.
- 14:14Speaker 1: It gives Gator Day. That makes less sense.
- 14:18Speaker 6: That makes less sense because the aid was for the
- 14:22Speaker 6: Florida Gators football team, so the aids still would be
- 14:25Speaker 6: for the day people. So I think cutting the Gator
- 14:28Speaker 6: part was. I think we can just hedg our beds
- 14:30Speaker 6: and call it dat dade.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Yeah, you're right, that's it, double down like a double boy. Yep.
- 14:37Speaker 2: He gives you some day to days and what kind
- 14:41Speaker 2: of salves they got in day salves?
- 14:45Speaker 1: Nice day salves and stuff.
- 14:48Speaker 3: Uh and yeah, helps you with your burns, that should
- 14:53Speaker 3: I actually I don't think you need a hospital. I mean,
- 14:57Speaker 3: you're thank you. I heard gunshots, but I don't need
- 15:02Speaker 3: to know you're if you're if you're all right, you can,
- 15:07Speaker 3: like we can zeppia somewhere.
- 15:10Speaker 2: It just anywhere is fine. Yeah where are we now?
- 15:14Speaker 4: We're still over the library here? Yeah, yeah, I'll get
- 15:17Speaker 4: out here do I that? Did that give me an HP?
- 15:20Speaker 2: No?
- 15:22Speaker 1: I try to get.
- 15:23Speaker 4: Up okay, No, no, I'm saying right here, it's okay.
- 15:32Speaker 3: Let me know where can I Where can I take you?
- 15:34Speaker 3: If you go down there and you're in this state,
- 15:36Speaker 3: I'm sure the police will okay, yeah, yeah, we're asking
- 15:40Speaker 3: for you.
- 15:40Speaker 2: You know that.
- 15:41Speaker 4: You know that park in central Kono? Yeah there, if
- 15:45Speaker 4: you you know, if it's on your way, I mean
- 15:48Speaker 4: it's not, but we can then, you know, we No,
- 15:51Speaker 4: we'll take you. One of the other fireman's like, hey,
- 15:54Speaker 4: we can't. We got to get home tonight.
- 15:56Speaker 3: It's five or farmer in the Dardan's Joshua looks at
- 16:06Speaker 3: him sternly. No, come on, she's a hero. Let's take her,
- 16:09Speaker 3: and he convinces the fire Brigade, the new Babble Fire Brigade,
- 16:14Speaker 3: to take this zeppelin fire Zeppelin to Kono and drop
- 16:21Speaker 3: you off.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Didn't even have to use cokes.
- 16:23Speaker 1: In the park.
- 16:24Speaker 2: I have to ask what kind of gas are they
- 16:27Speaker 2: using inside of this fire zeppelin? Bro, I gotta know
- 16:32Speaker 2: how flammable this shit is. It's not a it doesn't
- 16:36Speaker 2: carry five famously Hindenburg, Right, do you want me to
- 16:43Speaker 2: explain more? Crack? It seems like a bad vehicle for
- 16:47Speaker 2: fire response.
- 16:49Speaker 6: This is this is a It's no, it's a great
- 16:53Speaker 6: one for fire.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Yeah, Like Ben said, it's a futuristic city. Yeah, they've
- 17:00Speaker 3: blew up a bunch of zeppelins during the founding age,
- 17:03Speaker 3: and then they figured it out.
- 17:04Speaker 1: They figured it out.
- 17:05Speaker 4: Yeah, maybe like fire resistant, fire resistant balloon.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:14Speaker 2: I'm sure everyone in the audience is wondering how quick
- 17:19Speaker 2: and I guess they figured it out.
- 17:20Speaker 4: It's a it's a it's a like a gas they
- 17:22Speaker 4: found on Venus, like the vinium.
- 17:24Speaker 1: It's it's it's vinegar vinegas.
- 17:32Speaker 2: It's not vinagas.
- 17:34Speaker 3: It is extremely dangerous and flammable, but they figured it
- 17:38Speaker 3: out how to protect it from the flames.
- 17:41Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 17:41Speaker 3: Do you want cool pneumatic tubes and cool zeppelins or no,
- 17:44Speaker 3: because we don't have we don't.
- 17:47Speaker 2: Have no, no, no, I love this. I'm just it
- 17:52Speaker 2: would be like if fire engines were carrying around red
- 17:56Speaker 2: barrels of explosives all the time.
- 17:58Speaker 3: I mean, they have gas their tanks. Oh there, Oh,
- 18:04Speaker 3: just make Quanta, make bi shut out to Katie Perry,
- 18:12Speaker 3: Swiss Swish beech. Quanta. Joshua takes you down on one
- 18:18Speaker 3: of these ladders in your gourney. He takes you over
- 18:23Speaker 3: to a bench in the in central Kno. Uh, sit
- 18:27Speaker 3: you on the bench and says you're gonna be okay.
- 18:31Speaker 8: Yeah, I got it from here. Okay, thank you, sure,
- 18:37Speaker 8: I am well. Thank you for doing what you're you're
- 18:42Speaker 8: trying to do.
- 18:44Speaker 4: Thanks, I mean, for what it's worth. I think I
- 18:48Speaker 4: think you're a hero of New Babble too.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Thanks.
- 18:53Speaker 2: I'll see you. I'll see you around.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Probably all right, it keeps happening to me.
- 18:59Speaker 3: All right, bye, He heads back up. You're hanging out
- 19:04Speaker 3: here in Cono.
- 19:05Speaker 4: I have a lingering eye contact as he rises up
- 19:09Speaker 4: on the ladder. Yeah, he lingers for sure, up into
- 19:13Speaker 4: the zepp. Okay, what time of day is it, Johnny
- 19:16Speaker 4: remind me.
- 19:18Speaker 3: It's it's about mid day.
- 19:22Speaker 4: Okay, I think I wait here, knowing that mommy she
- 19:27Speaker 4: takes like a midday walk around this park and hoping
- 19:32Speaker 4: that she didn't skip today.
- 19:33Speaker 3: Quanta waits Jackie, engineer, you guys get back to the nest.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Great.
- 19:39Speaker 3: Maria is there, pacing nervously, wringing her hands.
- 19:44Speaker 2: Oh oh, you made it back, you made it back.
- 19:46Speaker 3: Uh god dead, Oh, thank goodness, thank goodness. She starts helping,
- 19:52Speaker 3: patching you up. Oh my god, you are so Jackie said,
- 19:56Speaker 3: you are already hurt. I can't believe Jackie is struck
- 20:00Speaker 3: going to get out of the Everwing costume, the Everwing
- 20:04Speaker 3: suit as she clumps to the floor and falls out,
- 20:08Speaker 3: eventually tripping over being stuck in there and the Everwing.
- 20:13Speaker 3: It's kind of standing Caddy wampus.
- 20:16Speaker 2: She saved my dumb ass today.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Oh that's great.
- 20:21Speaker 2: Oh Jamir, that was crazy.
- 20:26Speaker 6: That was That was some stupid, awesome stuff you did.
- 20:31Speaker 2: Barely I could barely see out of that thing. Yeah.
- 20:35Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't know whise that was. But hey, this
- 20:41Speaker 6: time we didn't all die.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 20:46Speaker 3: Of course I couldn't. Yeah, I couldn't. I mean, you know,
- 20:52Speaker 3: I couldn't stand by and do nothing.
- 20:55Speaker 2: I know. I smile and.
- 21:00Speaker 6: Give her a week thumbs up from my lighting down position. Well, Maria,
- 21:06Speaker 6: it helps me not gleet out.
- 21:08Speaker 3: Yeah, let's go to Jason in Page's apartment. Yeah, her
- 21:14Speaker 3: apartment is close to the library. You've been there before.
- 21:18Speaker 3: You help guide her into her own building, and she
- 21:23Speaker 3: uses the keys and gets into her apartment. You are
- 21:27Speaker 3: there safely, and she the full weeping has stopped, but
- 21:34Speaker 3: she has gone catatonic, kind of looking into blank space.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Page.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Maybe we should just put you in bed it's been
- 21:43Speaker 2: a long day.
- 21:44Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, that's that's fine.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Isn't it like noon or something? It's okay. I'll put
- 21:56Speaker 2: the curtains down. Just just don't don't worry about it.
- 21:58Speaker 9: Take a day.
- 22:00Speaker 3: I gotta get back to work, Thoughmond got I got
- 22:05Speaker 3: left for a long lunch break.
- 22:06Speaker 2: I'll be wondering where I am.
- 22:11Speaker 1: I'll call him for you.
- 22:12Speaker 2: It's okay.
- 22:15Speaker 3: How did this happen? He was supposed to die of
- 22:21Speaker 3: old age. He didn't deserve I didn't deserve that.
- 22:30Speaker 1: No, just rest for now. We'll figure it out tomorrow.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Okay. She walks.
- 22:45Speaker 3: Zombie like to her bed. What are you are you gonna?
- 22:50Speaker 3: Are you gonna stay here?
- 22:51Speaker 2: If that's okay, I don't have anywhere else to go,
- 22:56Speaker 2: Please please just stay.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll be here, okay, And.
- 23:03Speaker 2: You put Page in bed. I close your door, then
- 23:08Speaker 2: immediately start to go out her window, up the fire
- 23:11Speaker 2: us cape, to the roof. Okay, hello, knock on my chest.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Aren't there? Aren't there? Are there?
- 23:26Speaker 4: Huh?
- 23:28Speaker 1: You're safe?
- 23:29Speaker 2: You with Page? We did it?
- 23:36Speaker 8: Uh?
- 23:36Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, that's yes, Yes, we did it. We did it.
- 23:39Speaker 2: Our home burned down. Your body's fucking dead. I'm I'm
- 23:44Speaker 2: freaking out, dude. I don't I can't feel any of
- 23:46Speaker 2: the paper. I can't feel any of the paper. What's
- 23:49Speaker 2: going on? Huh? Yes? Well, you see, you made a
- 23:56Speaker 2: deal in arrangement with your previous ho and the terms
- 24:01Speaker 2: unfortunately need to be renegotiate it. Jason, I'm talking to you, right, Okay, renegotiated. Great.
- 24:12Speaker 2: We need to go and kill Shay and and fucking
- 24:16Speaker 2: get away from Page because because we're dangerous and we
- 24:19Speaker 2: gotta get back to I think Quanta is still in
- 24:22Speaker 2: the library. Oh no, no, no, no, no, no, can't. I
- 24:25Speaker 2: can't let you do any of that. What can't let
- 24:29Speaker 2: you put yourself at risk? And I can't let you.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Can't let you kill someone. Putting myself in risk and
- 24:38Speaker 2: killing people is like the only things I've been doing
- 24:40Speaker 2: for the last two months. What the fuck else am
- 24:43Speaker 2: I supposed to do? He killed you, man, he killed you,
- 24:49Speaker 2: He killed you, He burned down our home, all of
- 24:50Speaker 2: the books, everything there. Yes, but he's still a person.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Life is value. I won't let you go down this
- 25:05Speaker 2: path of darkness. Jason. You know what, fine, I don't
- 25:15Speaker 2: need I don't need paper powers, I don't need any
- 25:17Speaker 2: of this. I'm good. I'll just keep compartmentalizing. You can
- 25:22Speaker 2: go back to your book and I'll figure this out.
- 25:25Speaker 2: I'll just do it. I'll do it on my own.
- 25:27Speaker 2: I'll go and I'll take care of it. But what
- 25:31Speaker 2: about Pete. She's probably better off without me. She saw
- 25:40Speaker 2: my face. I wasn't cloaked up or anything. He knows
- 25:44Speaker 2: who I am, and he's might come for That's what
- 25:51Speaker 2: I'm fucking saying. Fuck. I don't know if I'll be
- 25:56Speaker 2: able to sleep, but we got a you're the shit
- 26:00Speaker 2: out o.
- 26:07Speaker 3: Jason has a talk within himself. Quanta, you're sitting here
- 26:13Speaker 3: waiting for two pm. When your mommy, Mama, she always
- 26:18Speaker 3: takes a walk.
- 26:19Speaker 4: Eventually, I just lie down on the bench and pull
- 26:22Speaker 4: the Sherlock Holmes poster up over me like a little blanket.
- 26:28Speaker 1: You do eventually see your mama.
- 26:31Speaker 4: She I wait for her to pass right by the
- 26:34Speaker 4: bench and grab her hand as she's passing. Oh my, mom, mommy,
- 26:43Speaker 4: it's me Ronnie. Yeah, yes, can you Ronnie?
- 26:47Speaker 2: Is that you?
- 26:48Speaker 4: Can you?
- 26:49Speaker 2: Can you please take me home? Of course? Baby?
- 26:53Speaker 1: Of course, thank you, thank you.
- 26:57Speaker 2: Mommy.
- 26:59Speaker 3: She ran you up and takes you home, which is
- 27:03Speaker 3: very close to their house. It's a big, beautiful brown
- 27:08Speaker 3: stone in southern Cono. Mama, your other mom, Sandy hasn't
- 27:13Speaker 3: got home yet from work. Your dad called us. He did, yeah,
- 27:23Speaker 3: says he we needed to have a talk, but that
- 27:25Speaker 3: you were not dead. He didn't say that you were safe.
- 27:31Speaker 3: He only said that you were not dead, and we
- 27:35Speaker 3: were extremely worried. And I want to be mad at you,
- 27:40Speaker 3: but you seem very hurt.
- 27:43Speaker 1: I'm really hurt. Well, then I'll leave getting mad at
- 27:47Speaker 1: you for the morning.
- 27:51Speaker 2: Thanks.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Let's get you. Let's get you cleaned up and you
- 27:54Speaker 1: can have your old room. Okay, okay, mommy. She takes
- 28:03Speaker 1: you to the shower and helps you get cleaned up,
- 28:08Speaker 1: scrubs your back and your burns. I know, I know
- 28:15Speaker 1: it's okay. This will help it heal.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Come on now, Joshua spent a long time putting salve
- 28:23Speaker 2: on that.
- 28:24Speaker 1: Who's Joshua, I don't know. Okay. She gets you dried
- 28:29Speaker 1: off and takes you to your room where you can rest.
- 28:33Speaker 1: After one of the most devastating days the three of
- 28:36Speaker 1: you have had together. You may all take a rest
- 28:41Speaker 1: in separate places in the city, all right, So for
- 28:52Speaker 1: a recovery rest you can roll both your Brazilian stye
- 28:56Speaker 1: as well as your strength strength die.
- 29:00Speaker 3: What you roll on strength goes back to energy. What
- 29:01Speaker 3: you roll on resilience goes back to your HP.
- 29:05Speaker 2: So far I got all my energy back. I hadn't
- 29:08Speaker 2: used too much of it though, that's surprising.
- 29:12Speaker 6: Okay, could be worse, could be better, Quanta, I think
- 29:17Speaker 6: because you have the help of a professional, you get
- 29:20Speaker 6: to roll twice.
- 29:21Speaker 4: Oh so I roll my D fours twice and my
- 29:24Speaker 4: D six, my D six twice.
- 29:26Speaker 3: Yes, okay, professional being Joshua no more source well than me,
- 29:34Speaker 3: and our death points will come back.
- 29:36Speaker 2: Yes, all your death points come back.
- 29:38Speaker 3: All your source pool are fucking support support pools come back?
- 29:42Speaker 2: Nice.
- 29:43Speaker 1: All right, I'm up to half of my HP.
- 29:46Speaker 2: I'm up to a quarter. I'm still at full HP.
- 29:51Speaker 3: So, first of all, if you guys have like a
- 29:53Speaker 3: little calendar, a little notebook, today is the day you
- 29:57Speaker 3: told the take that you would come back to check
- 30:01Speaker 3: on your new suits.
- 30:05Speaker 1: Shoot, like today the day the library's burning, or as
- 30:08Speaker 1: we're waking up the day after.
- 30:09Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, when did I When does it come around
- 30:13Speaker 4: again that I need to check in at Carrie's candles?
- 30:17Speaker 2: That is also today.
- 30:18Speaker 1: Oh awesome.
- 30:34Speaker 3: So there's that those are you know, whenever you want
- 30:38Speaker 3: to do those things or want to do them together,
- 30:39Speaker 3: that's up to you. But let's roll to see who
- 30:42Speaker 3: we're gonna follow for a minute. Here, let's roll. Already
- 30:46Speaker 3: check everybody, all right, ready ready.
- 30:49Speaker 1: I'm ready, I'm ready? Am I ready? Am I ready?
- 30:53Speaker 1: I'm ready.
- 30:55Speaker 4: I literally had the thought like I don't want to
- 30:57Speaker 4: win this, and I rolled it ten out of detail.
- 31:01Speaker 6: I rolled a three out of these six. I got
- 31:04Speaker 6: an eight on a D ten. Oo great.
- 31:07Speaker 3: So we'll start with Quanta waking up. You wake up
- 31:11Speaker 3: to mama shee making breakfast. As you come down into
- 31:18Speaker 3: the living area, she is preparing breakfast. Mama, she over
- 31:22Speaker 3: there and winks at you as you walk down. Sandy,
- 31:26Speaker 3: your mom is sitting on the couch. Your dad is here,
- 31:33Speaker 3: and everyone looks at you kind.
- 31:36Speaker 4: Of limp in the room wearing old corky pajamas that
- 31:42Speaker 4: I used to have here.
- 31:44Speaker 1: Mama, she says, Oh, I loved when you wore those.
- 31:47Speaker 2: They're so cute. I forgot you had those.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Might have to borrow them. Well, I think some of
- 31:54Speaker 1: the bandages nectared through.
- 31:56Speaker 3: So Sandy looks at you sternly. Hi, mom, running, She
- 32:05Speaker 3: taps her finger on the arm of the chair in
- 32:09Speaker 3: which she sits.
- 32:13Speaker 4: I know you're mad. Would you believe me if I
- 32:16Speaker 4: said I was trying to protect you?
- 32:20Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 32:21Speaker 3: I believe that, but I'm sick of it. She looks
- 32:24Speaker 3: at your dad. This guy's telling me the same thing.
- 32:30Speaker 2: Runs in the family. Yeah.
- 32:33Speaker 3: Yeah, you know what else runs in the family. Trust
- 32:38Speaker 3: the fact that we can take care of each other,
- 32:42Speaker 3: that we trust each other to be strong for each other. Mama.
- 32:48Speaker 3: She brings over the tray of breakfast and hands it
- 32:52Speaker 3: out to the family members present.
- 32:56Speaker 1: She says, now, now, don't get too worked up. Had
- 33:00Speaker 1: a hard day.
- 33:02Speaker 4: I look at everyone's breakfast burritos and my bowl of
- 33:04Speaker 4: oatmeal with fruit on top of it.
- 33:08Speaker 2: Thank you of course, Sweeney eat up. Can I have
- 33:12Speaker 2: a burrito if I finish this?
- 33:14Speaker 1: Yeah? I'm sorry? Did you want it?
- 33:18Speaker 3: Just a burrito? This is how we used to No? No,
- 33:20Speaker 3: this is great, OK, thank you. I'll work on another
- 33:23Speaker 3: one just in case.
- 33:25Speaker 2: You should come talk.
- 33:26Speaker 3: We should all talk, okay, mama, She comes and sits down.
- 33:33Speaker 3: Your dad chimes in, Yeah, so I thought we should
- 33:39Speaker 3: all talk meet up about this whole thing.
- 33:45Speaker 2: I have. You know some things.
- 33:49Speaker 3: I came clean to your mom's about what was happening
- 33:52Speaker 3: to me and the evil church and how they were
- 33:56Speaker 3: blackmailing me and everything, and well they weren't that's right.
- 34:01Speaker 3: We weren't happy, Lance, Wow, how would we be happy?
- 34:05Speaker 3: Why didn't you tell me? I'm a lawyer, I have connections.
- 34:09Speaker 3: We could have figured it out. Yeah, well, I mean,
- 34:11Speaker 3: I don't know. These are dangerous folks. They had they
- 34:14Speaker 3: had an assassin, they would have they could have hurt you.
- 34:18Speaker 4: Like mom, he's he's not messing around. They're scary people
- 34:23Speaker 4: and like high.
- 34:25Speaker 1: Up, Well he.
- 34:28Speaker 3: If your father, Lance, he said that they aren't really
- 34:33Speaker 3: operating anymore as they were. And when when that happened?
- 34:39Speaker 3: Why didn't you? Why didn't you come to us?
- 34:42Speaker 1: Why?
- 34:43Speaker 2: I don't.
- 34:44Speaker 4: I don't know where they went. I don't know what
- 34:46Speaker 4: they're doing. At least before I knew what they were doing.
- 34:50Speaker 4: Now we maybe know where two of them are three,
- 34:54Speaker 4: but they've scattered and maybe there's somebody over them. And
- 34:59Speaker 4: there's this there's this whole thing with the mayoral election
- 35:02Speaker 4: and the city council.
- 35:03Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, don't get off topic.
- 35:06Speaker 1: I'm it's all connected. I'm not getting off topic.
- 35:10Speaker 3: The topic I want to discuss is that after we
- 35:15Speaker 3: heard the church tell everyone you were a murderer, that
- 35:19Speaker 3: you were dead.
- 35:20Speaker 2: That's what they told us.
- 35:21Speaker 3: After that, Yeah, one of your low bridges or whatever
- 35:25Speaker 3: came to our door and told us that you were dead.
- 35:31Speaker 2: It must have been really hard.
- 35:32Speaker 4: I just looked down, take a spoon of the oatmeal
- 35:35Speaker 4: and watch it drip back.
- 35:37Speaker 2: In the bowl.
- 35:38Speaker 3: Your dad told us just a few days ago that
- 35:42Speaker 3: you were alive. It's been almost been almost two months
- 35:49Speaker 3: since you came to dinner.
- 35:53Speaker 2: Only that long it felt like two years. Yeah, me too.
- 36:01Speaker 1: I am sorry, but I think in the same circumstance
- 36:04Speaker 1: I would do it again.
- 36:06Speaker 4: I don't. I don't want what happened to Jerry to
- 36:10Speaker 4: happen to you or any of the other people hurt
- 36:14Speaker 4: by the church, all right, or.
- 36:16Speaker 2: What happened to dad, Yeah, all right.
- 36:20Speaker 4: Hey, maybe we were all just protecting each other in
- 36:25Speaker 4: different ways.
- 36:28Speaker 3: Maybe when your dad told me you were alive, I
- 36:32Speaker 3: got and we saw bright Blade, I guess on TV.
- 36:40Speaker 3: I just got mad and I started working. I've been
- 36:45Speaker 3: talking to the church. I've been working with a detective
- 36:47Speaker 3: and kno, they have nothing they have nothing on you,
- 36:53Speaker 3: and our evidence is better.
- 36:54Speaker 1: They've dropped all charges. We went after them hard.
- 36:59Speaker 2: Oh, just like that, it's done.
- 37:02Speaker 3: Well, there's paperwork, I mean, there's legal stuff I have
- 37:04Speaker 3: to do, but it's not going to go to court.
- 37:07Speaker 1: They don't have it.
- 37:08Speaker 4: Before she finishes that sentence, I've like dove across the
- 37:12Speaker 4: room and given her a hug.
- 37:14Speaker 2: Okay, okay, okay. Yeah, I love you. I love you, Hey,
- 37:20Speaker 2: I love you, Hey, I love you, hey, hey Hey.
- 37:26Speaker 2: Kissed her on the cheek, thank you.
- 37:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:32Speaker 2: Different ways.
- 37:34Speaker 1: I give my best little like little kid smile at
- 37:36Speaker 1: her right.
- 37:38Speaker 3: Different ways. Your dad introduced me to bright Blade. I guess,
- 37:43Speaker 3: Oh he was here.
- 37:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:45Speaker 3: I needed for some of the paperwork. I needed his
- 37:49Speaker 3: his video that he has.
- 37:54Speaker 2: Sorry, just imagining him here in her house is wild.
- 37:58Speaker 1: He was very like noble. Yeah, he's nice.
- 38:02Speaker 2: He's actually very nice. He was he was hurt for
- 38:06Speaker 2: a long time.
- 38:07Speaker 3: Yeah, mama, she says, Yeah, we could keep having him
- 38:10Speaker 3: over when you come over for dinner.
- 38:12Speaker 1: I mean, if that's what y'all want to do, I'm
- 38:14Speaker 1: sure he'd be happy to come.
- 38:15Speaker 2: You both could be here for dinner with us.
- 38:18Speaker 1: Wait a second, narrow my eyes.
- 38:21Speaker 4: Lance, I don't think I have to do a sense
- 38:23Speaker 4: check to see what's.
- 38:24Speaker 3: Happening here, Lance Pipe saying yeah, hey, no, yeah, Well, Durky,
- 38:30Speaker 3: he's a you know, he's a he's a wild animal.
- 38:33Speaker 1: He's out there running around. Yeah, dangerous. I wink at mommy.
- 38:36Speaker 3: She Oh, and now now I take it easy.
- 38:41Speaker 2: We're being a family here. I guess I shouldn't tell
- 38:44Speaker 2: you all about the fireman I met today.
- 38:46Speaker 3: Then you met a fireman. Oh, your dad loves a fireman.
- 38:53Speaker 3: Your dad is pumped about a fireman. A fireman, your mom,
- 38:56Speaker 3: Sandy says, a fireman?
- 38:58Speaker 1: Was he?
- 38:59Speaker 2: Was he a he? Or human?
- 39:01Speaker 1: Actually? Oh that's fine. I just was asking.
- 39:04Speaker 3: I don't yeah, it doesn't really matter, right, No, it
- 39:07Speaker 3: doesn't matter. It doesn't matter if you know, if grandkids wherever.
- 39:12Speaker 1: Oh my god, everythink I'm gonna go back to bed?
- 39:15Speaker 1: All right, starts standing you want to go back to bed?
- 39:18Speaker 4: Or I think she's like hoping to like be roped
- 39:21Speaker 4: back into like this family love.
- 39:23Speaker 1: But yeah, it has to be like.
- 39:25Speaker 3: Uh, stop talking about my love life your as you
- 39:29Speaker 3: walk back up your dad's as well, Hey, if you
- 39:31Speaker 3: don't want to stick around, I'm about to profess my love.
- 39:34Speaker 1: Oh okay, yeah, I know I'm really going. Yeah, are
- 39:37Speaker 1: you sure?
- 39:37Speaker 2: Hey?
- 39:38Speaker 1: Love you love you?
- 39:39Speaker 2: She Sandy. I just they were blackmailing me. I still love.
- 39:44Speaker 1: You, guys. When the burrito's running.
- 39:50Speaker 2: Your dad fully, he just bears his soul. Nice loves
- 39:58Speaker 2: fireman loves a fire.
- 40:24Speaker 1: And we go back to Jason Page. What are you
- 40:29Speaker 1: up to?
- 40:29Speaker 2: Jason? Sure, I'm probably gonna try not to sleep, and
- 40:34Speaker 2: I'm just gonna pull up a chair, lock Page's door,
- 40:40Speaker 2: grab an old she's got like an old shootball stick
- 40:44Speaker 2: in her closet. I'm just gonna like fall asleep in
- 40:47Speaker 2: the chair, like pointed at the door in case somebody
- 40:50Speaker 2: walks through. And I'm assuming as she'll she went to
- 40:53Speaker 2: bed early. She'll probably get up before me, and I
- 40:59Speaker 2: will have did did what I said. I called her
- 41:01Speaker 2: job and told her told him that she was sick
- 41:03Speaker 2: or whatever.
- 41:03Speaker 3: Yeah, you wake up to Page curled up in the
- 41:09Speaker 3: chair with you. It's like a little love seat. Conscious
- 41:13Speaker 3: yeah conscious.
- 41:15Speaker 2: No, sorry, I was just saying because I'm that's what
- 41:17Speaker 2: I say when I wake up.
- 41:19Speaker 1: Oh you don't do that, No, I don't.
- 41:22Speaker 3: I don't think about it's hard to remember to do
- 41:25Speaker 3: anything when you just wake up, you know, Like sometimes
- 41:28Speaker 3: I go to bed and I think when I wake up,
- 41:31Speaker 3: I want to see how I'm lying, like if I'm
- 41:33Speaker 3: lying on my back or on my stomach or on
- 41:35Speaker 3: my side, because I want to know like what I
- 41:37Speaker 3: do most But then I I never remember.
- 41:40Speaker 1: To actually check. Try try like a dream journal.
- 41:45Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 41:47Speaker 3: I don't think dreams have any Well, you could do
- 41:50Speaker 3: that for like, you know, a sleep position journal. Yeah,
- 41:52Speaker 3: maybe sure. Hey, I'm sorry, thanks first hand.
- 41:58Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I'm again. I don't.
- 42:01Speaker 2: Thanks for letting me grash you here. I don't really
- 42:03Speaker 2: have a another's.
- 42:05Speaker 1: Spot to go. Oh god, it's not just a lot,
- 42:09Speaker 1: it's your home.
- 42:11Speaker 3: Yeah, oh god, I'm so sorry, Jason.
- 42:16Speaker 1: No, you don't. It's not.
- 42:20Speaker 2: I'm the one who should be sorry. I told you
- 42:22Speaker 2: I would protect things and it was safe and good,
- 42:26Speaker 2: and I was wrong.
- 42:30Speaker 3: Well, I don't know what you thought you were supposed
- 42:32Speaker 3: to do against a whole gang that that's not yours.
- 42:38Speaker 1: Nothing you could have done it. Listen, page, let me
- 42:42Speaker 1: let me tell you.
- 42:43Speaker 2: Okay, Jason, I swear to God if you tell her,
- 42:48Speaker 2: I will cut you right on the tick.
- 42:53Speaker 3: Jason, what what do you what are you trying to say?
- 42:58Speaker 2: The thing that Arthur and I were getting up to
- 43:00Speaker 2: the reason the mob is involved, it's because of a book, Arthur.
- 43:08Speaker 2: I'm very carefully not gonna lie to page, just so
- 43:12Speaker 2: you're aware.
- 43:13Speaker 3: I'm not lying because I suck it lying, Okay, but I.
- 43:16Speaker 2: Am going to tiptoe around the truth. I'm ready, Okay.
- 43:20Speaker 2: Great Arthur made a deal with the mob to get
- 43:26Speaker 2: a old book, valuable book, and the mob wanted it,
- 43:33Speaker 2: and that's why they took you and beat him up
- 43:37Speaker 2: in the first place. Okay, this book, it's it's where
- 43:43Speaker 2: that paper phantom came from. Okay, So the mob has
- 43:52Speaker 2: been fighting against that creature and thinks that it's connected
- 43:56Speaker 2: to the library, and so they took it out on.
- 44:01Speaker 1: On Arthur.
- 44:02Speaker 2: And I'm worried that they're going to take it out
- 44:04Speaker 2: on you and that they're after me. And I don't
- 44:06Speaker 2: know if it's safe for me to stay here or not.
- 44:08Speaker 2: But I don't want to leave you alone either. You
- 44:15Speaker 2: don't have to leave me alone. I'm gonna go down
- 44:21Speaker 2: to the library.
- 44:22Speaker 3: I want to collect I want to bury Arthur or
- 44:28Speaker 3: what's left.
- 44:29Speaker 1: I don't want to leave it as is. Right, So
- 44:32Speaker 1: come with me.
- 44:34Speaker 2: Yeah, of course, yeah, I'm I'll come with And God,
- 44:38Speaker 2: what's going to happen? All the books that people have checked.
- 44:41Speaker 3: Out, well, there's those are good because they're still with
- 44:46Speaker 3: the people. So when they return them, you have some
- 44:50Speaker 3: some books back.
- 44:52Speaker 2: I guess.
- 44:54Speaker 3: Wait and you Arthur was telling me that he signed
- 44:57Speaker 3: the library to you. It's your is now. Oh well
- 45:02Speaker 3: it's not as great an hasset now, well no, but
- 45:05Speaker 3: the I mean the land, it's an amazing spot. Sure,
- 45:11Speaker 3: but you're right, I mean it's tragic.
- 45:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know what I'm gonna do. I don't
- 45:16Speaker 2: have a job home, and I'm we both lost, Arthur.
- 45:24Speaker 3: Yeah, well, one thing, one thing at a time.
- 45:32Speaker 2: Sure, I.
- 45:35Speaker 3: We we we woke up. We're conscious, right, that's what
- 45:38Speaker 3: I said. And let's just go. Let go, Let's just
- 45:42Speaker 3: go to the library, one thing at a time. Okay,
- 45:48Speaker 3: two of you get ready to go. Jamior, you wake
- 45:54Speaker 3: up in your grandmother's old house.
- 46:02Speaker 2: Wow.
- 46:05Speaker 6: Jamir awakes very grateful to not be dead after recent events.
- 46:15Speaker 6: He's gonna gingerly hobble his way down the stairs in
- 46:21Speaker 6: the early morning to the kitchen. It's gonna open up
- 46:26Speaker 6: a window breathing the fresh air. It's gonna get a
- 46:33Speaker 6: juice glass from a cabin.
- 46:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:36Speaker 6: We take out, take out a piece of wheat bread
- 46:40Speaker 6: and press the rim of that juice glass in, twisting
- 46:45Speaker 6: it cautlockwise and counterclockwise, ejecting a disk of soft, squishy
- 46:52Speaker 6: dough from the center of the square slice. Wow, Jamir
- 46:57Speaker 6: is gonna start paying. Fry it up that piece of
- 47:01Speaker 6: bread with a little bit of butter in the pan,
- 47:03Speaker 6: and then I'm gonna drop it an egg right in
- 47:06Speaker 6: the middle where the hole is left a better ridch
- 47:10Speaker 6: that juice glass. Throw it in the freezer while I
- 47:12Speaker 6: fry that egg and toast so that I could pour
- 47:16Speaker 6: myself o jay in a cold glass with my eggy
- 47:20Speaker 6: in the basket as I look out in the garden
- 47:24Speaker 6: as the sun rises. The Himalay has salt, perfectly enhancing
- 47:30Speaker 6: the egg flavor.
- 47:31Speaker 3: Oh damn, guys, having a good breakfast isn't hard.
- 47:35Speaker 2: That's all you gotta do.
- 47:37Speaker 1: I think we know what the sexiest moment on the
- 47:39Speaker 1: podcast is.
- 47:40Speaker 3: So far, though, Yeah, for sure, man put an eggy
- 47:45Speaker 3: in my basket. Thing. Oh, Jackie is sitting in the
- 47:51Speaker 3: garden having woken up before you.
- 47:54Speaker 2: You want some eggs. Oh, you're making eggs? Yeah, I
- 47:59Speaker 2: have some eggs. Hell yeah, all right, let me finish
- 48:02Speaker 2: this one.
- 48:02Speaker 1: I'll get going. All right, How do you make the
- 48:05Speaker 1: second one?
- 48:06Speaker 4: No?
- 48:06Speaker 2: I just kidding.
- 48:08Speaker 3: Yeah, you bring out Jackie an egg in a basket.
- 48:13Speaker 1: It just oh man, this is awesome. When when did
- 48:15Speaker 1: you learn to do this?
- 48:16Speaker 10: Yeah? Okay, hey Jackie, Yeah, you kicked some serious ass yesterday.
- 48:29Speaker 10: And by kicking ass, I mean death which was coming
- 48:34Speaker 10: for us.
- 48:36Speaker 6: And no matter what happens and what you choose to
- 48:40Speaker 6: do today, tomorrow and the rest of your life, when
- 48:46Speaker 6: you're on your deathbed, you can tell your grandkids you two.
- 48:54Speaker 2: Were they ever way.
- 48:56Speaker 6: That nobody could take that away from you?
- 49:02Speaker 2: You hear me.
- 49:05Speaker 1: Jackie starts to cry a little.
- 49:09Speaker 3: I loved it. I was so scared, but I loved
- 49:15Speaker 3: every minute of it.
- 49:21Speaker 6: You did it, and I would have be sit hearing
- 49:26Speaker 6: this breakfast if you had it.
- 49:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 49:30Speaker 3: But but but you don't have to do that again?
- 49:38Speaker 3: Well I probably I probably can't. I don't really fit
- 49:41Speaker 3: in the suit. I was pretty ineffective.
- 49:45Speaker 6: I I you kicked ass, okay, and uh, thank you,
- 49:53Speaker 6: thank you?
- 49:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I knew you were hurt and I knew if
- 50:00Speaker 3: you weren't hurt you, you guys would have been fine,
- 50:02Speaker 3: but you you were just so hurt.
- 50:04Speaker 2: I had to try.
- 50:06Speaker 6: You know, I'm not so sure we were in even
- 50:11Speaker 6: if I was coming in full. There was a lot
- 50:14Speaker 6: of bad guys there. I mean, I could take a bullet,
- 50:20Speaker 6: which is the same, but you know, in reality there's
- 50:25Speaker 6: often lots of guys with lots of bullets and they
- 50:30Speaker 6: still hurt me anyway. I don't know about other heroes,
- 50:33Speaker 6: but bullets rock my shit.
- 50:38Speaker 3: Yeah, Yeah, it was weird. I was in the suit
- 50:43Speaker 3: and Jamira. It's you know how in the comics there's
- 50:47Speaker 3: the Everwing has like different there's different takes on the
- 50:50Speaker 3: Everwing like some some of the comics it's all controlled
- 50:54Speaker 3: with the mind. Some of the comics that's controlled with
- 50:57Speaker 3: the little buttons and the fingerpads.
- 51:00Speaker 6: Yes, yes, Platinum era versus Titanium era ever Wing, there's massive.
- 51:04Speaker 3: Difference, right, So I tried everything like in that suit,
- 51:08Speaker 3: and it it's very intuitive to my mind. It responded,
- 51:14Speaker 3: The wings responded, and I could feel like the bullets
- 51:18Speaker 3: that were hitting me, like there was a point where
- 51:22Speaker 3: I could tell that if if I stayed too long
- 51:25Speaker 3: and if I had been hit too much, it would
- 51:28Speaker 3: only protect me for so long, you know, some.
- 51:31Speaker 1: Kind of internal haptic feedback.
- 51:33Speaker 3: Right, pretty cool, an amazing thing. It's just crazy the
- 51:39Speaker 3: comics came to life, you know.
- 51:41Speaker 6: I mean, that's what my life spent these last weeks.
- 51:47Speaker 6: It's all it's all crazy. I mean, magic is real.
- 51:53Speaker 6: I know that we conceptually believe that, but feeling magic, right,
- 51:59Speaker 6: and I kind of sit a little pulse from my
- 52:02Speaker 6: chest down to my fingertips, feeling it every day to
- 52:08Speaker 6: make sure it's still there.
- 52:11Speaker 1: It's like waking up in oz. Yeah.
- 52:17Speaker 3: Well, hey, there's a lot of power in that suit
- 52:20Speaker 3: ta mirror and you.
- 52:23Speaker 2: Guys, you know you should.
- 52:27Speaker 3: You should use it. You know, you should put somebody
- 52:29Speaker 3: in there. It'll it'll help you.
- 52:33Speaker 1: We'll figure it out. We'll figure it out. We got time.
- 52:37Speaker 6: Also, the other two apparently met the people partly responsible
- 52:43Speaker 6: for it.
- 52:44Speaker 1: So we're figuring a lot of things out.
- 52:48Speaker 3: Well, I don't know, I don't I don't think it'll
- 52:52Speaker 3: fit me. But if if you guys can figure it out,
- 52:58Speaker 3: I'll put my hat in the ring.
- 52:59Speaker 4: You know.
- 53:00Speaker 6: Oh, when we do tryouts, you're going to be at
- 53:04Speaker 6: the top of my call.
- 53:05Speaker 1: She believe that, all right, believe that? Thanks?
- 53:10Speaker 6: Yeah, I hand her spinach mushroom frittata. Oh that Jamir
- 53:20Speaker 6: whipped up as we sit outside, and I say, can
- 53:24Speaker 6: you believe a couple idiots like us get to eat
- 53:27Speaker 6: breakfast in a backyard like this?
- 53:29Speaker 3: Yeah, Jamiir, this place is beautiful. This is your grandma's place.
- 53:34Speaker 2: Wow.
- 53:35Speaker 6: Well it wasn't technically hers, but it was given her
- 53:42Speaker 6: from a benefactor. And I don't fully know how that
- 53:46Speaker 6: relationship worked out, but it was kind of part of
- 53:50Speaker 6: the whole everweing thing. This whole place in the basement
- 53:54Speaker 6: and the study at the top, it's all.
- 53:59Speaker 2: Her.
- 54:00Speaker 6: So much of her life was connected to these walls,
- 54:05Speaker 6: discovering secrets and covering magic.
- 54:08Speaker 3: It's it's safe. And Maria she she's like, your girlfriend,
- 54:13Speaker 3: do you tell me about or.
- 54:15Speaker 6: No, that would be inappropriate. Maria sees herself as a
- 54:21Speaker 6: bit of a caretaker of the hope, following her parents footsteps.
- 54:29Speaker 6: So she works here. She also lives here, but she
- 54:31Speaker 6: works here. So she Yeah, sees me as kind of
- 54:37Speaker 6: like a boss slash master slash hopefully Fred I'm working
- 54:42Speaker 6: on Fred. But yeah, she she keeps the place running.
- 54:47Speaker 6: It runs the budget and all that good thing stuff.
- 54:51Speaker 3: But you guys are you guys are fucking yeah, like
- 54:53Speaker 3: you guys.
- 54:54Speaker 1: I've never touched her a sexual.
- 54:57Speaker 6: Okay, I don't really plan on it, sure, I mean whatever,
- 55:01Speaker 6: it's just kind of fask.
- 55:02Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, I don't know.
- 55:04Speaker 1: She was just here.
- 55:05Speaker 3: I was like, if there's another girl in your life
- 55:07Speaker 3: that's not me that knows about all this stuff, probably girlfriend,
- 55:10Speaker 3: but whatever.
- 55:11Speaker 1: No, though, we're cool.
- 55:15Speaker 6: Yeah, housemates, and I would say employer, but I also
- 55:23Speaker 6: would definitely not say master.
- 55:24Speaker 3: Well you said master before, so it's kind of some
- 55:27Speaker 3: sexy language.
- 55:28Speaker 1: Well that was her term.
- 55:32Speaker 6: I rejected it, obviously, because that's fucking weird to say
- 55:36Speaker 6: it's that is fucking weird, but.
- 55:40Speaker 1: It's it's I mean, this whole.
- 55:42Speaker 6: Thing is weird, right, the magic, the butler, woman, the suit,
- 55:49Speaker 6: And by I mean what's crazy is like none of
- 55:52Speaker 6: us got our powers the same way, right, It's all
- 55:55Speaker 6: just it's all seemingly random that we all got our
- 55:58Speaker 6: powers within days of each other, apparently after this drought
- 56:04Speaker 6: of no power decades.
- 56:07Speaker 3: Yeah, some sort of no supers, some sort of like awakening,
- 56:11Speaker 3: like the powers that be magics of the world, awaken.
- 56:15Speaker 6: I mean the more the more I study the stars.
- 56:19Speaker 6: There's a lot going on that with despite all of
- 56:23Speaker 6: our science and technology, and we're always gratut the surface.
- 56:28Speaker 3: Jackie cool, It is cool. So you guys have this day.
- 56:33Speaker 3: We're gonna pick up with Jamier and Ronnie at the
- 56:40Speaker 3: tailors to go at night time.
- 56:43Speaker 1: Yeah, in bed, feeling cozy.
- 56:46Speaker 4: Unconscious, gonious, remember everything that I have to do today.
- 56:51Speaker 3: But before we do that, let's take an afternoon time
- 56:54Speaker 3: with Jason and Paige in the library.
- 56:57Speaker 2: I'm I'm thinking about that and I'm the way to
- 57:00Speaker 2: the library. I do worry that both of us showing
- 57:05Speaker 2: up there is maybe dangerous and bad. So could we Uh,
- 57:13Speaker 2: I don't want to go there? That would be bad,
- 57:16Speaker 2: right you see this page?
- 57:18Speaker 9: Yeah, Hey, what if we don't go to the library and
- 57:22Speaker 9: we let you know, first responders or could we could
- 57:25Speaker 9: call somebody to get Arthur Like it just might not
- 57:28Speaker 9: be safe to go there.
- 57:29Speaker 1: But Arthur Arthur's body like, you're right, You're probably right.
- 57:34Speaker 2: It's just it's the last place that if people are
- 57:37Speaker 2: are looking to get this thing and hurt Arthur more.
- 57:41Speaker 2: I mean, we're the last people. I don't feel comfortable
- 57:46Speaker 2: bringing you there. Oh, you're right, you're right, But I
- 57:48Speaker 2: also don't want to leave you alone. But I also
- 57:50Speaker 2: don't want to leave Arthur's body. I'm you see how
- 57:52Speaker 2: I'm a little stuck. Yeah, yeah, I know. Well how
- 57:56Speaker 2: about that? How about that drink?
- 57:57Speaker 3: Yomi?
- 57:58Speaker 2: Oh do it?
- 58:05Speaker 1: Sure?
- 58:05Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 58:05Speaker 1: Drink sounds good?
- 58:07Speaker 2: Great?
- 58:08Speaker 1: There's a bar close by?
- 58:11Speaker 2: Cool? Maybe do you want me to I can call
- 58:15Speaker 2: someone to see if someone can maybe get Arthur's body
- 58:18Speaker 2: check and library.
- 58:19Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, we can use the phone at the bar.
- 58:22Speaker 3: Who would you call my book club people? Okay, they
- 58:29Speaker 3: might be able to get in there, and it'd be
- 58:31Speaker 3: safe for them.
- 58:32Speaker 1: I think. All right, so we head to the bar,
- 58:35Speaker 1: and you know, as we're.
- 58:37Speaker 2: Getting settled, i'll i'll radio radio the crew from like
- 58:43Speaker 2: the phone box booth in the back.
- 58:46Speaker 1: Hello, Jason, you guys alive?
- 58:52Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, you're alive.
- 58:53Speaker 1: Okay, I'm alive. Oh so.
- 59:03Speaker 2: A lot a lot to figure out, but yeah, to
- 59:07Speaker 2: say the least, look at if it's not too much trouble.
- 59:10Speaker 2: I'm sure you guys already have a lot on your plate.
- 59:12Speaker 2: I know you got to pick up your costumes and stuff.
- 59:14Speaker 2: But on your way, would you would you mind just
- 59:17Speaker 2: checking on Arthur's body for me. Oh, Jason, I'm so
- 59:21Speaker 2: sorry for your loss.
- 59:22Speaker 1: Brother.
- 59:24Speaker 2: Oh yeah, so again I don't have time to go
- 59:28Speaker 2: into full details. But Arthur is no, no, no, no, no.
- 59:32Speaker 3: You.
- 59:34Speaker 2: Don't. You don't have to talk about but now sure, yeah, no,
- 59:37Speaker 2: really you should, you should, you know. I mean, I'm
- 59:39Speaker 2: definitely grieving the loss of the library, but there's also
- 59:43Speaker 2: the loss yeah Arthur too. Don't tell them about me?
- 59:49Speaker 2: Fuck with them for a bit? What shut up? Why
- 59:51Speaker 2: why do you do that? Just yeah, we'll we'll talk
- 59:56Speaker 2: more later, but if you can, yeah, later, if you
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: I don't feel safe going back there right now.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: And I got to keep an eye on Page, and yeah,
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: of course, take all the time you need.
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: Oh wow, thanks. You guys have never been it's nice
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: to me before. It's weird, that's not true at all.
- 1:00:12Speaker 6: But you know, Page is in a very fragile place too,
- 1:00:17Speaker 6: so I don't want you to just be be a
- 1:00:21Speaker 6: normal person at this moment.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: I okay, yeah, I will be a normal person. Yeah,
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: if you can take care of that, that would be amazing,
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: and maybe we'll of course. Yeah, how is Page doing?
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: I mean, all things considered, she's Okay, I'm trying to
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: loop her in, but I don't want her to know
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: too much because that's just gonna put her more in
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: the mob's crosshairs. So I know.
- 1:00:50Speaker 6: Yeah, our circle of loing is. I mean, I made
- 1:00:56Speaker 6: it a little bigger with Jackie. I should have talked
- 1:01:00Speaker 6: to you guys first, But no, she saved our ass.
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: Yeah, she was incredible. Did you tell her that? Did
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: you tell her she was incredible? Yes?
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: I did, I did. She is incredible.
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: Yeah, we would we would all be dead. Yeah. Probably
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: I was no help yesterday, guys.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: I'm sorry me neither.
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: I'm sorry too.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: I was fully unconscious the whole time.
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: I know it was. It was really scary.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: We got our asses headed to us.
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: Understatement. Look, I don't have time to get into the
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: full details right now, too. I've got a kind of
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: I don't know, I'm on a date. Whatever. I don't
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: worry about it.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: It's fine. Many griefs in their own ways, right.
- 1:01:46Speaker 6: That's what I'm doing. Yes, but you also can't take
- 1:01:49Speaker 6: things back. Just as a reminder, thank you. Yes, Okay,
- 1:01:56Speaker 6: you're welcome. Long story short, I might also need a costume. Weirdly,
- 1:02:02Speaker 6: what if you guys are going to the tailor later.
- 1:02:05Speaker 6: Can I meet you there?
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: Maybe like late, and she'd love to see you. Okay,
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: we can maybe we'll talk there, but all right, Yeah,
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: thank you guys twelve thirty.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: Yeah, and Jason, we are your friends.
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:02:21Speaker 4: I know we give you a hard time, but seeing
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: you like that yesterday was really scary. And the amount
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: of times you've been there for us in moments like that.
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: Thanks, Ronnie.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: I just wish we could have done more for you
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: in that moment.
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: No, I I'm glad you guys are there, and I'm
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: I'm glad you're okay, We're alive, brother. Yeah, I live
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: today for Arthur. We'll see you today, Yes, live for me,
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: see you later over over over, and yeah, I'll just
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: drink with Paige. I guess, get kind of drunk. Yeah,
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: get kind of drunk with Page. Just kind of kind
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: of drunk, kind of crook DRUNKENNK.
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: You all get together at the tailor's that night.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: I'm going to be in costume, in my you know,
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: shitty custom Yeah.
- 1:03:18Speaker 4: I'm in my my bullet holed black sweatpants and sweatshirt.
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: Yeah. I guess that is also very worthless right now. Yeah,
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: I'll grab like a just like a big raincoat from
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: Page's closet and put a paper bag over my head.
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: And that's what I got.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: Great is this is this where we all hug again?
- 1:03:39Speaker 4: Hold out my arms seeing them on the roof of
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: the tailor's apartment. Definitely, Oh, bring it in, sure, Jason
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: squished in the middle. Again, we're alive.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: I'll definitely pick up.
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: The two of them. Oh, still healing? Be too, sorry
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: about that.
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: It's good.
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: You guys got physically fucked up.
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: Yeah, like so many shots.
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: I kind of emotionally fucked up. Yeah, what was going on?
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: So?
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: I mean you want to get into it now? I
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: peek into the tailor's apartment.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: Is she there yet? She is there.
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: She's sitting on her couch, legs crossed, looking up and
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: at the sky, like up at the skylight, waiting for
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: you guys.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: Yeah later, I'll tell you later. Pop the latch drop in,
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: she says, Oh you're here, wonderful. I was wondering if
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: you chow tonight would miss it. We keep our word
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: when we give you. Oh my, you guys look bad.
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: Yeah. Did you see the news about the library?
- 1:04:46Speaker 11: Yes?
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: Really sad? Was that you guys. Yeah, over there, tried
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: to stop it.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: And why are you here tonight?
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: And why do you look so say it?
- 1:05:01Speaker 4: Oh?
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: Say it the war and whatever?
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: Why that's polite of you.
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: Well, I'm a very nice girl. Sure, Look, I'm currently
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: between paper sources. I look over at my friends. I
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: could well, I could use some help making something in
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: the meantime. Hmmm, I thought you'd never ask.
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: Let's go, and she leads you guys into the hallway
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: and down the elevator all the way down to the
- 1:05:39Speaker 3: bottom floor. My grandma bought the whole bottom floor for
- 1:05:44Speaker 3: her studio. Here as the elevator door opens, you see
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: this beautiful studio, mannequin's everywhere, bodices, measuring tapes, fabric, it's you.
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: You see like a distinct difference between the tailor's dresses
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: that she wears as the tailor, and you obviously see
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: where she works on the dresses for Sophia. Based on
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: Sophia's dresses, Sofia is tall and has an elegant and
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: subtle taste. The colors are are more dull, but not
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: not I wouldn't say dull, but more dull than the
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: louder colors that the tailor uses for her dresses. More subdued, Yes.
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: More dude. Dude, dude?
- 1:06:36Speaker 3: Is it is it about time we start saying dude
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: for subdued?
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: This is because you've been watching Young Justice.
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: Dude, I'm calling you out.
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: They don't say that in Young Justice, but it is
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: a thing that would. It is a Young Justice joke.
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: Shout out to Young Justice.
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: Why Jay?
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: Why Jay?
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: That is also kind of a thing they'd say. She
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: goes to a wall on the very end of this room,
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: now where was it? And rifles through different roles of fabric,
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: and she pulls a hidden one on the very bottom row,
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: and the wall swings open. Can you imagine? It took
- 1:07:20Speaker 3: me years to find this. I just hadn't used that
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: specific role, and then I reached down and turns out
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: it wasn't a role at all, Secret lever.
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: It's pretty cool.
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, it's so cool. You're not You're not alone.
- 1:07:37Speaker 4: We've had discoveries of her own like that.
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: The wall swings open, Jamir, I think you are struck
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: by the images of your comics and fantasy.
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: There are heroes on mankins.
- 1:08:02Speaker 3: You see inspector claws, bowler hat and dull blue mask.
- 1:08:08Speaker 3: War heroes red white and blue cape, boots and belt.
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: There's even a cloak of spellbook that he never got
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: to wear and jamir. Then you come across a suit
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: you don't recognize. There must have been a hero who
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: didn't make it into the public sphere. Wait, wait, is
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: it yours? Which is this for me?
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: That's it? Give it a touch.
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: The bottom layer that would fit tightly on your body
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: is pitch black venium cloth, true black. It makes the
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: blues pop. The blue is bold. It's metallic cerulean that
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: shimmers and dances in light, and it is applied to
- 1:09:07Speaker 3: the rest of these pieces boots that are large. They
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: come up just to below the knee, and then the
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: tops of them fold down.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: There is a.
- 1:09:18Speaker 3: Broad blue belt, and the subtle points of the star
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: point out at the buckle. The cape flows down perfectly
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: to the back of the knees. Then the helm, which
- 1:09:30Speaker 3: is also sporting this metallic blue, comes down to the nose,
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: leaving the mouth and chin free. The eyeslits are angled
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: and fierce. In the everwing helm, the wings flare out
- 1:09:44Speaker 3: a bit to emulate flapping wings, but on yours they
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: just jut straight backward like the helm of Hermes, and
- 1:09:53Speaker 3: then the seven pointed star has been moved to the
- 1:09:57Speaker 3: center of your chest and made larger. They're the star
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: almost wraps around the torso the bottom points disappear into
- 1:10:09Speaker 3: the broad belt, and the top points disappear into where
- 1:10:13Speaker 3: the shoulder would hold the cape.
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: I put my hand right on the star. It's perfect. Ugh,
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: I'm so happy you love it. Thank you.
- 1:10:26Speaker 6: I I can't thank you enough.
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: This is this is better than anything I could have imagined.
- 1:10:36Speaker 5: Ah.
- 1:10:36Speaker 3: Yes, that's the magic of what I do. You guys
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: have your tricks and your magics and electricity.
- 1:10:42Speaker 4: It's beautiful. You're gonna look amazing. Rachel, it's cool, dude.
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: Can I try it on?
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: Well, don't we want to see quantas first? I know
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: you're sure.
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I would love to.
- 1:10:57Speaker 3: You look over as she gestures to another mannequin that
- 1:11:01Speaker 3: holds the Quantus suit, it had faded into the background
- 1:11:06Speaker 3: a little. She says, I took a few creative liberties
- 1:11:09Speaker 3: with yours. You didn't give me too much to work on.
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: No, I'm sorry about that.
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: No, that's okay. I love a blank canvas. Great, and
- 1:11:18Speaker 3: I'm still not sure if it's going to work. How
- 1:11:20Speaker 3: you want to. We'll need to test it. It looks
- 1:11:22Speaker 3: a little boring right now, but with you, I think
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: it'll light up. You look to the mannequin that holds
- 1:11:42Speaker 3: your suit and it's all black, the same venium black.
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: But as you reach out with your power a little bit,
- 1:11:50Speaker 3: you can feel the pathways.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: There are thin lines.
- 1:11:54Speaker 3: Of pure venium running through the whole suit, creating a
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: maze of running roads and tunnels. The pants are baggy,
- 1:12:05Speaker 3: but they cinch at the ankle, sort of Genie style.
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: The torso would be covered by a tight sleeveless shirt,
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: but then there are gloves that come all the way.
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: Up to just below the shoulder. Oh, that is so cool.
- 1:12:19Speaker 3: The neck of the shirt goes up past the nose
- 1:12:23Speaker 3: to cover your mouth and your nose, and then attached
- 1:12:27Speaker 3: from the upper back and the neck is a hood
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: and a swirling scarf that would wrap around your head
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: and neck.
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: Took some inspiration from the Phantom.
- 1:12:39Speaker 3: There is not a cape, but the ends of the
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: swirling scarf flow far and long and brush the ground.
- 1:12:47Speaker 3: May I reach out my hand when you touch it?
- 1:12:53Speaker 3: What is quantu feeling? And what color pulses through the suit.
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: I think she's feeling.
- 1:13:01Speaker 4: Excited and like amazed that someone would make this for her,
- 1:13:08Speaker 4: and like just having met her one time, like know
- 1:13:13Speaker 4: what she would like and what would fit her, even
- 1:13:17Speaker 4: like her measurements, because she's the only person she knows
- 1:13:23Speaker 4: who can look at somebody and just know things about
- 1:13:27Speaker 4: them like that immediately. And so as she puts her
- 1:13:30Speaker 4: hand in the middle of it, there's a pulse and
- 1:13:34Speaker 4: purple light corus skates and cascades through the suit.
- 1:13:38Speaker 3: Whoa, it's just what you wanted, a map, and it
- 1:13:44Speaker 3: runs across the whole suit, even down the gloves, down
- 1:13:49Speaker 3: the whole scarf.
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: But then after the pulse, it only is lighting up where.
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: You're touching it.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: Wow, I look at mirror.
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: Okay, we'll try them on you too. Let's go me
- 1:14:06Speaker 3: and the phantom will turn our backs. Wait, there's not
- 1:14:10Speaker 3: like a little change in course. Don't look now, paper Phantom,
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: I'm not looking.
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: I thought that.
- 1:14:22Speaker 3: I thought there'd be like a little booth. Yes, I
- 1:14:25Speaker 3: have one of those. I have a dressing screen.
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: Sorry, into my suit.
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: I'll I'll take the screen. You get behind the screen,
- 1:14:37Speaker 3: So Phantom, Well they're changing. What do you need, my
- 1:14:41Speaker 3: my sweet paper man.
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: I'm not really sure. I guess I'm the library was
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: my home and I lost everything there, so I don't know.
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: I just need something, something to cover myself that's not
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: a paper bag. Mm hmm.
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: Well I'll get to work on it, okay, and hey,
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: things come back stronger out of the ash. You know
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: the stories, right, mhm?
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: Hey, Steph, do you want to poignantly give me my
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: Sherlock comes poster back? Yeah?
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: Right, this moment, yeah, your own Yeah, okay, I'm changing.
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: So okay, I'll look over and see, uh, the like
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: torn and burned Sherlock Holmes poster that Quanta has brought
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: with her.
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: Oh, I'm I'm sorry.
- 1:15:42Speaker 4: I meant to give this to you on the roof,
- 1:15:43Speaker 4: but then we all, you know, we were talking about
- 1:15:46Speaker 4: I'm sorry, I forgot. I'll walk over and hand it
- 1:15:49Speaker 4: to Jason. I am, I got this on my way out.
- 1:15:53Speaker 4: Sorry that I nectared on it.
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: You saved something, Thank you.
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: I unfurl it, sort of like charred and bled on
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: and darkened trench coat. I look down and I hold
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: the poster up to the tailor. What about something like.
- 1:16:15Speaker 3: This gives me inspiration? She takes it from you? Or
- 1:16:20Speaker 3: do you want to keep it. You hang on to
- 1:16:22Speaker 3: it for now.
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: All right, Okay, are we ready? You two come on out.
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: I'm just standing with it. They turn around. Yeah, Jamir
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: jumps from behind the screed with the boots. I am
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: and also feel a little taller.
- 1:16:44Speaker 6: I give my cape a little flourish, and Jamir feels
- 1:16:50Speaker 6: like a hero again.
- 1:16:51Speaker 4: I look down at myself in the suit and for
- 1:16:53Speaker 4: the first time, see a reflection of what I see
- 1:16:57Speaker 4: in other people in myself, the electricity moving through my
- 1:17:01Speaker 4: body as it lights up, and I try to send
- 1:17:05Speaker 4: like a rainbow through it, try to concentrate.
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: And make like a rainbow pattern pulls through it and
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: you do. Oh my Godolah.
- 1:17:26Speaker 3: The Taylor says, now they should be pretty sturdy. She
- 1:17:29Speaker 3: takes a gun and shoots Rage in the chest three times.
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: I found this down here. Isn't that crazy?
- 1:17:37Speaker 12: Oh?
- 1:17:37Speaker 6: Yeah, that's insane. I'll let me do I have to
- 1:17:42Speaker 6: rezal do I take any day of it.
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: No, you're good for this joke.
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: It's just.
- 1:17:51Speaker 3: Thank God that doll was shitty. Yeah, it was just
- 1:17:55Speaker 3: down here. I don't know my grandma wild.
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: Wow. Well the two of you's is the real deal.
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: You look like God's Thanks kind of am one. Oh,
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: I like that confidence.
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: Hey, while I'm waiting for mine, do you mind if
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: I take a loaner and I point over at the
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: spell book cloak.
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: O ah, that was labeled spellbook Prototype. I don't know
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: does that mean anything to you or just a little something?
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: All right?
- 1:18:36Speaker 3: Sure, yeah, I have no need of it. It's venium
- 1:18:38Speaker 3: laced and should be sturdy.
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: I drop trial, take everything off. It's apt the paper bag,
- 1:18:49Speaker 2: there's that. There's a three panel screen. Guys, this before
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: what I just if weird seeing your friz naked. Right, sorry, sorry, Rachel,
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: I know you're not. It's it's not socially acceptable, but
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: it should be, right, am I?
- 1:19:12Speaker 4: Right?
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, here, thank you for your opinion, and I'll
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: put on the full full spell book and you know,
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: like kind of do a quick pull a paper bag
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: off and the hood down over my face. Yeah.
- 1:19:26Speaker 3: It's a dark forest green. It's very high fantasy, but
- 1:19:33Speaker 3: with a modern flare.
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:19:35Speaker 3: There's a body suit underneath and then the green cloak,
- 1:19:41Speaker 3: and then there's a hood that come. It's kind of
- 1:19:44Speaker 3: like a balaclava, but instead of two eye holes goofily,
- 1:19:49Speaker 3: there's like a instead there's like a kind of an
- 1:19:52Speaker 3: eye slit and then the hood comes over that and
- 1:19:55Speaker 3: comes down deeply.
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: Brian would have loved this. It looks great looking good brother.
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: Thanks.
- 1:20:04Speaker 3: We don't have the same exact body shape, but that's keepe.
- 1:20:09Speaker 3: Why do you sound different? Why do you sound different?
- 1:20:12Speaker 3: Why did you sound different? I always sound the same.
- 1:20:16Speaker 3: Really if I sounded different when you were singing with
- 1:20:19Speaker 3: a different person, totally different person when you singing, well, yeah,
- 1:20:21Speaker 3: I put on respectful Well, I guess you're right. When
- 1:20:25Speaker 3: I put on my mantle, I sound different when you
- 1:20:27Speaker 3: put on yours, you sound different.
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: Taylor.
- 1:20:33Speaker 4: Yes, I know we brought it up before, but we
- 1:20:36Speaker 4: don't have any money, right.
- 1:20:38Speaker 6: I told you these ones were free, but look at these.
- 1:20:42Speaker 6: These are expensive. Dude, I read. I know you know that,
- 1:20:46Speaker 6: but it's not lost on us.
- 1:20:48Speaker 4: This is probably these are the best outfits in New Babble.
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: I love to hear it.
- 1:20:55Speaker 3: That is payment enough, my dear, really, please please understand.
- 1:21:06Speaker 3: This was the dream of my grandmother and this cost
- 1:21:10Speaker 3: me nothing but time. I am happy to help. Thank you,
- 1:21:16Speaker 3: thank you. This is incredible. But when they come and
- 1:21:19Speaker 3: kidnap me, you better save me, okay, of course.
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: Oh.
- 1:21:24Speaker 3: Top of the list thank you. That's all I need
- 1:21:28Speaker 3: to know. And if they get beat up at all,
- 1:21:31Speaker 3: come see me. I'll fix them up for you. Okay, okay, okay,
- 1:21:35Speaker 3: very kind of you. I'll probably see you in a week.
- 1:21:39Speaker 3: Trade this in all right, unless you fall in love
- 1:21:43Speaker 3: with it. It's well made.
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: It's riding up real by pa.
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: Well, get out there and save the city.
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: You three, yes, ma'am.
- 1:21:55Speaker 3: She takes you up to the lobby floor and I
- 1:21:58Speaker 3: shoes you out the door.
- 1:22:00Speaker 2: All right.

- 1:22:16Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you go. I'm going to catch up with
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: the phantom here. Okay, boys, night, okay, I am. Are
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: you good, rowdy? Are you going to be saved?
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: Yeah? I'm good.
- 1:22:28Speaker 4: I just do you want to take this gun? I
- 1:22:34Speaker 4: think I'm good. Yeah, I think I'm good with what
- 1:22:38Speaker 4: I've got. But I just, you know, in case I
- 1:22:43Speaker 4: don't get to say it before, like the next time,
- 1:22:47Speaker 4: we're all shot up and almost dead. I sure I
- 1:22:51Speaker 4: love you both, love you, and I'm really glad to
- 1:22:55Speaker 4: know you man that I'm not alone doing this thing.
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: Hell, yeah, I'm bad at social situations. Well, I don't
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: you know how much I pulled the spell book hood off.
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: I'm not sure if you guys knew this, but I
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: didn't have parents or a family. So with Arthur gone
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: and everything, you guys are you guys are my family family.
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: Mhm.
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: It's another it's okay to be naked in front of
- 1:23:36Speaker 2: your family depends on the.

- 1:24:07Speaker 4: Let me say my name twice.
