- 0:08Speaker 1: Scandal and vice, or sugar and spice It's Naughty.
- 0:13Speaker 2: But Nice with Rob Hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello,
- 0:15Speaker 2: hello Welcome to the Naughty But Nice Show I'm your
- 0:18Speaker 2: host Rob Shooter It is Tuesday, which means our dear
- 0:22Speaker 2: friend Delaina Dixon joins us. Hey, Misty, are you there?
- 0:25Speaker 2: I am. And it's September.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Oh, my goodness. Where did the year go?
- 0:30Speaker 2: September, Misty. I think it's because we have such fantastic lives. Like,
- 0:35Speaker 2: I enjoy my life. I get up every day. I'm very,
- 0:38Speaker 2: very lucky. It has not always been the case. But
- 0:41Speaker 2: I decided when I turned 50, I'm going to enjoy
- 0:44Speaker 2: my days. I'm going to enjoy every single day. And
- 0:46Speaker 2: I force myself to do it. And often, I convince
- 0:50Speaker 2: myself that that is the truth. And so now... We
- 0:52Speaker 2: have this joyous show. We have our joyous friends. And
- 0:55Speaker 2: because of that, the year spins by, flashes by, Miss D.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Yes, and it's September is my birthday month. So happy
- 1:03Speaker 1: birthday to me.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Happy birthday to you. What date is it? I've got
- 1:06Speaker 2: to put it in my diary.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Okay, it's September 26. So it's a Saturday. And I
- 1:11Speaker 1: might be someplace special. So we'll have to wait and see.
- 1:15Speaker 2: We'll put it all in our diaries. Okay, let's jump
- 1:17Speaker 2: into the show. What time is it, my friends? It
- 1:18Speaker 2: is tea time. Really, really, really concerning story at the
- 1:22Speaker 2: top of the show. Lionel Richie has been hospitalized. He's
- 1:25Speaker 2: in the ICU after struggling to get through one of
- 1:28Speaker 2: his concerts. He was in St. Louis doing a concert.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Is it St. Louis or St. Louis? How do I
- 1:33Speaker 2: pronounce that, Misty? St. Louis. St. Louis. Thank you. He
- 1:37Speaker 2: was in St. Louis and not an American. I've been
- 1:40Speaker 2: here for 30 years and I'm still learning. So he
- 1:43Speaker 2: was in St. Louis.
- 1:43Speaker 1: St.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Louis. doing a concert. He's 77 years old and after
- 1:47Speaker 2: the show, he checked himself into hospital for testings. Witnesses
- 1:51Speaker 2: said he was struggling and even asked for a chair
- 1:55Speaker 2: to sing his final song all night long. I love
- 1:58Speaker 2: that song. His health scare, this new health scare, comes
- 2:01Speaker 2: just after a week after he fell ill in Minnesota,
- 2:05Speaker 2: telling the audience that he felt dizzy and he had
- 2:07Speaker 2: to sit down several times. Now, he later cancelled shows
- 2:11Speaker 2: and he assured his fans he's doing well, but Just
- 2:14Speaker 2: two weeks later, he's now in the hospital. Good grief, Misty,
- 2:18Speaker 2: what do you think?
- 2:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, touring is brutal. I mean, you've been
- 2:23Speaker 1: on tours, you know this, and we've seen younger stars.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Think of Ariana Grande and Megan Thee Stallion, who had
- 2:29Speaker 1: to stop their shows and take a break, go to
- 2:32Speaker 1: the hospital because they're dehydrated or tired. So when you're
- 2:36Speaker 1: 77 years old, it's a strain on your body. And
- 2:40Speaker 1: interestingly enough this happened to Gladys Knight she's had to
- 2:43Speaker 1: pare back her show she's in her 80s um of
- 2:46Speaker 1: course we want to see our icons perform because a
- 2:50Speaker 1: you know they're icons so that's the first reason we
- 2:54Speaker 1: don't know how long they'll be with us we hope
- 2:55Speaker 1: for many many more years but they have to prioritize
- 3:00Speaker 1: their health they have to put their health first um
- 3:02Speaker 1: You know, that's why people do residencies. At least if
- 3:05Speaker 1: you're in one space, you don't have to get on
- 3:07Speaker 1: a tour bus. I have a friend named Jay Draft.
- 3:10Speaker 1: He just got off a tour and he says, oh
- 3:12Speaker 1: my God, I was exhausted doing the show, getting on
- 3:15Speaker 1: the bus, sleeping there. And he's in his 30s. So yes,
- 3:19Speaker 1: we have to let our icons rest. So Lionel Richie,
- 3:23Speaker 1: take a break.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Take a break. I think that's the answer. I don't
- 3:26Speaker 2: want these people to retire. I've read all these reports
- 3:29Speaker 2: that They're too old. They should retire. It's embarrassing. They're
- 3:32Speaker 2: ruining their legacy. No, no, no, no, no. We're not
- 3:35Speaker 2: going to get to see them for much longer. That's
- 3:36Speaker 2: just a fact. We're all getting older, every single one
- 3:39Speaker 2: of us. And so I say as long as the
- 3:41Speaker 2: audience is still happy to buy the tickets and you
- 3:44Speaker 2: can do the show, do the show. I recently saw
- 3:46Speaker 2: Madonna and she's not the same Madonna when she was
- 3:48Speaker 2: 20 or 30. She's now in her 60s. She was great.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Had a fantastic night. I enjoyed every minute of it.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Was she dancing and doing... All the stuff she used
- 3:57Speaker 2: to do? Absolutely not. She was much slower. She sat
- 4:01Speaker 2: down many, many times. I didn't care. I wanted those songs.
- 4:04Speaker 2: It wasn't actually about Madonna. It was about me. She
- 4:07Speaker 2: made me feel like I was 15 again, dancing around
- 4:09Speaker 2: my bedroom with a hairbrush, singing Vogue or Material Girl.
- 4:14Speaker 2: And so I think I say to the legends out there,
- 4:16Speaker 2: if you want to do these shows, keep doing them
- 4:19Speaker 2: however you Do look after yourself. Maybe do less. You
- 4:23Speaker 2: don't need to be going from city to city to
- 4:25Speaker 2: city like your Ariana Grande or Taylor Swift. You don't
- 4:27Speaker 2: need a tour like that. Maybe once a month, do
- 4:31Speaker 2: a show. Maybe find a residency. It's a much easier life.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Make us come to you, wherever you are.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Yes, that's how to do it. But I don't think
- 4:39Speaker 2: they should stop now. You can push back on that,
- 4:42Speaker 2: and I'd love to hear from you, Nutties. Some people say,
- 4:45Speaker 2: I read this really, really... Kind of mean story. I
- 4:49Speaker 2: think it was in the London Times just saying these
- 4:52Speaker 2: artists are ruining their legacy. No, they're not. They will
- 4:55Speaker 2: always be fabulous. Lionel Richie's always going to be Lionel. Richard.
- 4:59Speaker 1: How old was the person who wrote that story? Because
- 5:02Speaker 1: if they're in their 30s, I'd like to come back
- 5:04Speaker 1: 20 years from now when they want to hear their
- 5:06Speaker 1: Harry Styles.
- 5:08Speaker 2: That's right. They're Taylor Swift. It's easy to say Diana
- 5:13Speaker 2: Ross should retire. But what about if I said Taylor
- 5:15Speaker 2: Swift should retire? How do you feel about that? And
- 5:17Speaker 2: I also think too, we can get into a very
- 5:19Speaker 2: dangerous position here. where people will say, the critics will say,
- 5:23Speaker 2: they're not very good anymore. Well, if we're going to
- 5:25Speaker 2: only allow people to perform who are, quote, good, a
- 5:28Speaker 2: lot of your favourite pop stars will never be on
- 5:31Speaker 2: the stage again. That's the truth. Are we going to
- 5:33Speaker 2: have a quality control now on who's allowed to sing
- 5:36Speaker 2: and who isn't allowed to sing? Because if that's the case,
- 5:39Speaker 2: Britney Spears might not be doing show. It's going to be,
- 5:42Speaker 2: it's very, very interesting. There's a little bit of a
- 5:45Speaker 2: snob factor to this. Like, oh, we're above that. Sit down,
- 5:49Speaker 2: Barbara Streisand. Sit down, Bette Midler. You're past your prime.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Said who? I love it. If you're willing to pay
- 5:56Speaker 2: your money, and I get this, if I was a
- 5:58Speaker 2: pop star and I could sell out a concert, it
- 6:00Speaker 2: doesn't matter if it's a massive, massive Madison Square Garden
- 6:03Speaker 2: or a smaller venue, it's my business. I want to
- 6:06Speaker 2: get out there, sing my hits, sing my songs, and
- 6:09Speaker 2: people are still willing to come. It's their choice. Nobody's
- 6:12Speaker 2: forcing anybody to buy a ticket to Lionel Richie.
- 6:15Speaker 1: What we wouldn't give to see Dolly Parton one last time.
- 6:19Speaker 2: You just said it.
- 6:19Speaker 1: If we had known, we would all line up to
- 6:22Speaker 1: see her perform.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Go and see it because it is happening. I know
- 6:26Speaker 2: that's something we don't talk about as a society. We
- 6:28Speaker 2: get a little bit cringy about it, don't we, when
- 6:30Speaker 2: we talk about death. They're going to die. It's a
- 6:34Speaker 2: fact of life. If Queen Elizabeth dies, then Barbara Streisand,
- 6:38Speaker 2: Diana Ross, Billy Joel, all our favorites. Well, one day
- 6:42Speaker 2: Bruce Springsteen will not die. be doing this. So my
- 6:45Speaker 2: recommendation is if there's a legend out there, somebody that
- 6:48Speaker 2: you've always wanted to see and you haven't, get a
- 6:51Speaker 2: ticket next time they are in town. Get a ticket.
- 6:54Speaker 2: And I promise you, they might not be as agile,
- 6:57Speaker 2: they might not be as energetic as they were 20
- 7:01Speaker 2: years ago. In fact, I can guarantee they will not be.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Doesn't matter. they'll still be fabulous. I got a ticket
- 7:06Speaker 2: to see Cyndi Lauper. I'd never seen Cyndi Lauper, and
- 7:09Speaker 2: I went to see her, and I loved it, I
- 7:12Speaker 2: loved it, I loved it. Which brings us to our
- 7:14Speaker 2: poll question of the day. I really want to hear
- 7:16Speaker 2: from you on this one, Nortiz. Our poll question is,
- 7:19Speaker 2: Lionel Richie has been hospitalised, he's in the ICU, after
- 7:22Speaker 2: struggling to get through one of his concerts. Should he retire?
- 7:26Speaker 2: You can disagree with me, I've made it pretty clear
- 7:28Speaker 2: what I think, but should he retire? Yes, no? Go
- 7:31Speaker 2: vote on our X page, our Twitter page. Naughty Nice Rob,
- 7:35Speaker 2: or our Facebook page, which is Naughty Gossip. And be
- 7:38Speaker 2: sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results. Hey,
- 7:41Speaker 2: Miss D, love, what are you working on?
- 7:44Speaker 1: I want to start this piece with an ommmm, because
- 7:48Speaker 1: I'm talking about Jennifer Aniston and her boyfriend Jim Curtis,
- 7:53Speaker 1: who are keeping the peace during their honeymoon phase by
- 7:56Speaker 1: meditating through disagreements. So now Curtis revealed, her boyfriend revealed...
- 8:02Speaker 1: The couple, they've been together about a year and a half,
- 8:04Speaker 1: rely on meditation, conversation, acceptance, and understanding when arguments arise.
- 8:11Speaker 1: So a therapist said that in different stages of a
- 8:16Speaker 1: relationship require different tools, and the pair appears to be
- 8:20Speaker 1: determined to communicate rather than to let conflict spiral. So
- 8:25Speaker 1: now Jennifer and her boyfriend sparked romance rumors after they
- 8:28Speaker 1: were spotted on a getaway in Spain last summer. And
- 8:31Speaker 1: they say they're happy, they're devoted, they're going to be
- 8:34Speaker 1: there for each other. But marriage? Right now, they got
- 8:39Speaker 1: no plans to marry. They found their peace.
- 8:44Speaker 2: I like it. It's easy to make fun of people,
- 8:46Speaker 2: isn't it, that have therapy or figure out ways to
- 8:49Speaker 2: protect their relationship. If you have to get down on
- 8:51Speaker 2: a yoga mat and hum... or make noises to be happy,
- 8:56Speaker 2: do it. I want an easy life. If my life
- 9:00Speaker 2: is better because I take a vitamin tablet every day,
- 9:03Speaker 2: take the pill. If my life is better because I
- 9:06Speaker 2: go for a walk every day, go for a walk.
- 9:08Speaker 2: I'm not judging other people's relationship. It is, I know
- 9:11Speaker 2: people in Hollywood are rolling their eyes at this, like, oh,
- 9:14Speaker 2: how ridiculous are He's won one over on her and
- 9:17Speaker 2: they're all looking at him to be suspicious. She's happy.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Can't Jen be happy? We don't want Jen to be single.
- 9:23Speaker 2: And then when she finds somebody, he's not good enough.
- 9:26Speaker 2: She can't win here. So I say, Jen, you enjoy yourself.
- 9:29Speaker 2: And if it takes a minute, 10 minutes, an hour
- 9:32Speaker 2: out of your day to meditate, figure out what works
- 9:36Speaker 2: for you, for me, Misty. I listen to music now
- 9:39Speaker 2: and I love it for about an hour a day.
- 9:42Speaker 2: I pop my little headphones in and I go for
- 9:45Speaker 2: a walk and I listen to Madonna or songs from
- 9:47Speaker 2: the 80s. I go back in time and it brings
- 9:50Speaker 2: me back to such a happy period in my life.
- 9:52Speaker 2: I'm very happy now too. But I like reminiscing and
- 9:55Speaker 2: I found music is my meditation. Music is my therapy.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Some people it's reading. Some people it's exercise. I know
- 10:02Speaker 2: you're a big exercise person. What's your meditation? What is yours?
- 10:06Speaker 1: I love watching RuPaul's Drag Race. I actually have Wow Presents.
- 10:12Speaker 1: And I have watched versions in languages I do not understand.
- 10:15Speaker 1: It's just something about people just showing.
- 10:19Speaker 2: what.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Makes them happy and, you know, of course, clothes, hair, makeup, performance.
- 10:24Speaker 1: But something about that just calms me down. I watched
- 10:26Speaker 1: a couple episodes last night before I went to bed.
- 10:29Speaker 2: You enjoy it. John Oliver said RuPaul's Drag Race got
- 10:33Speaker 2: him through the pandemic. He said that all he did
- 10:35Speaker 2: during the pandemic was watch RuPaul because he needed joy.
- 10:38Speaker 2: He just wanted joy in his life. And these people
- 10:42Speaker 2: with so many disadvantages, these people who are struggling to
- 10:45Speaker 2: fit in in the society that we live in, have
- 10:48Speaker 2: somehow managed to find happiness. And it is inspiring. I
- 10:51Speaker 2: might check her out myself. OK, moving along. Rob Reiner's
- 10:54Speaker 2: son Jake has quietly married his girlfriend Maria. So Rob
- 10:58Speaker 2: and Michelle's son Jake has quietly married Maria, finding happiness
- 11:03Speaker 2: in a year of unimaginable loss. Sources said they tied
- 11:07Speaker 2: the knot in a private ceremony in August, the beginning
- 11:11Speaker 2: of August. They've been married now for about three, four weeks.
- 11:13Speaker 2: The news comes shortly after Jake gave his first television
- 11:17Speaker 2: interview since the death of his parents, where he discussed
- 11:20Speaker 2: grief and the criminal case against his brother, Nick. This
- 11:24Speaker 2: is so big. Life goes on. It's changed forever, isn't it?
- 11:28Speaker 2: But life does not stop. I'm told, my sources told me,
- 11:33Speaker 2: there are a lot of discussions about whether or not
- 11:35Speaker 2: they should delay this wedding after what happened to Rob
- 11:39Speaker 2: and Michelle. And what they realised is, no, Rob and
- 11:42Speaker 2: Michelle would want this to happen. They know that life
- 11:46Speaker 2: must go on. It is forever changed. Let's not pretend
- 11:49Speaker 2: that isn't the case. It is forever different. But it
- 11:53Speaker 2: does go on. I like this, Miss D.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I would 100% agree with you on that. His
- 11:58Speaker 1: parents would not have wanted him to wait. In fact,
- 12:01Speaker 1: they are smiling down at him and they're saying, our
- 12:05Speaker 1: son has someone there for him. That makes us so
- 12:08Speaker 1: happy that he's not going through this alone. He has
- 12:11Speaker 1: someone who loves him. And it's heartbreaking because for all
- 12:15Speaker 1: intents and purposes, he would assume that his parents would
- 12:18Speaker 1: have been there at his wedding and be able to
- 12:21Speaker 1: see this happy occasion. But again, their spirit is with him.
- 12:24Speaker 1: If you believe in a higher power, you know, there
- 12:27Speaker 1: are angels looking down at him and they are so happy.
- 12:31Speaker 1: So yes, 100% they would want him to be married
- 12:34Speaker 1: and have someone in his corner all the time.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Absolutely. Okay, moving along, Misty. Another Bravo star. It feels
- 12:42Speaker 2: like every week there's a Bravo star in trouble. And
- 12:46Speaker 2: the allegations get more and more serious. What is going on?
- 12:51Speaker 1: All right, so this is Nathan Gallagher. He's on Below
- 12:53Speaker 1: Deck Mediterranean. He's facing more legal trouble. He's 28 years old.
- 12:58Speaker 1: He has a live bench warrant in Ireland after being
- 13:01Speaker 1: charged with assaulting a man and causing him harm during
- 13:04Speaker 1: an alleged 2022 incident. So the news comes after Nathan
- 13:09Speaker 1: was arrested in Australia last December for allegedly assaulting and
- 13:14Speaker 1: intentionally choking a 29-year-old woman. Now, Nathan says he's not perfect,
- 13:20Speaker 1: but he insists there's another side to the story and
- 13:21Speaker 1: claims he has video footage, messages, and other evidence providing context. Obviously,
- 13:28Speaker 1: he's reportedly not going to appear on the show again.
- 13:31Speaker 1: You know what they say, fool me once, shame on you.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Fool me twice, shame on me. It's like you've done
- 13:36Speaker 1: this twice. Seems like there's a pattern. But Rob, you
- 13:39Speaker 1: always know the Bravo stuff, so give us the scoop.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm getting a little bit angry with Bravo. And
- 13:45Speaker 2: I think at some point we have to say Bravo
- 13:47Speaker 2: did not create these monsters, but they certainly enhanced them.
- 13:51Speaker 2: They unleashed them. These people were all awful people before
- 13:55Speaker 2: they met Bravo. Let's be honest, one of the reasons
- 13:57Speaker 2: they were cast was is that they are not the
- 14:00Speaker 2: most demure, kind people. Awful people often make very good
- 14:05Speaker 2: reality TV, which is why you should always be careful
- 14:07Speaker 2: when you love someone on reality TV. Think of the
- 14:10Speaker 2: message that you are sending. However, Bravo would insist that
- 14:15Speaker 2: they have absolutely nothing to do with this. And I
- 14:17Speaker 2: think it's at that point now there has been so
- 14:19Speaker 2: many arrests, so many people on Bravo shows who have
- 14:23Speaker 2: gone to jail, who have done awful things, that we
- 14:25Speaker 2: have to wonder about the culture. any other institution had
- 14:30Speaker 2: produced these many criminals, this many accusations, there would be
- 14:34Speaker 2: an investigation. If my job, if 10 people at my
- 14:37Speaker 2: job had been arrested, I would say, what is going
- 14:40Speaker 2: on at that institution, at that job? Nobody's saying that
- 14:44Speaker 2: about Bravo. It is so, so, so dangerous. When you
- 14:48Speaker 2: reward bad behaviour, which Bravo does, it encourages more bad behaviour.
- 14:52Speaker 2: Once again, I'm not saying Andy Cohen created these people,
- 14:55Speaker 2: but he gave them a platform. They were awful people.
- 14:58Speaker 2: They were always going to be awful, but we would
- 15:00Speaker 2: never have heard of them. Now, because of money and
- 15:02Speaker 2: fame and really encouragement, they've become... And I think that's
- 15:07Speaker 2: a really big, big deal that we have to think about.
- 15:11Speaker 2: I know we don't want to think about it. But
- 15:13Speaker 2: once again, be careful. Be careful here because the people
- 15:16Speaker 2: you support, you are giving them a message that you
- 15:19Speaker 2: are supporting who they are. And often these reality stars
- 15:23Speaker 2: don't know the difference between when the cameras are on
- 15:26Speaker 2: and when the cameras are off. OK, we're going to
- 15:29Speaker 2: take a quick break and we will be right back.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Welcome back to the Naughty But Nice. I'm your host,
- 15:36Speaker 2: Rob Shooter, with our dear friend Misty. Hey, Misty, let's
- 15:38Speaker 2: get to the polls. Thank you very much. Last show
- 15:42Speaker 2: we talked about Prince Harry hoping to have tea once
- 15:44Speaker 2: a month with the king, his dad. Will it happen? 60%
- 15:47Speaker 2: said yes. You're not that optimistic. I think once a month.
- 15:51Speaker 2: You're in the same country. I'm going back to Britain
- 15:53Speaker 2: in a few weeks to see my mum. The minute
- 15:55Speaker 2: I get off the plane, I'll be at my mum's
- 15:57Speaker 2: house giving her a big hug. I can't imagine being
- 16:00Speaker 2: in Britain a week later. and not seen my family.
- 16:02Speaker 2: They've not seen their family. Now, this is a very
- 16:04Speaker 2: different family, obviously. They're not as warm and huggy and
- 16:07Speaker 2: touchy as my family, maybe your family. But I think
- 16:10Speaker 2: Harry wanting to see his dad once a month, I
- 16:13Speaker 2: think that's a nice thing. Put it in the schedule.
- 16:15Speaker 2: I hope it happens, but I'm not sure it will. Hey,
- 16:18Speaker 2: don't forget to vote on today's poll. Go to our Twitter,
- 16:21Speaker 2: our X page, at Naughty Nice Rob. Our Facebook page
- 16:24Speaker 2: is Naughty Gossip. And be sure... to check back tomorrow
- 16:27Speaker 2: to hear your results. And now it's time for.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Our nicest of the day. Well, our nicest of the
- 16:35Speaker 1: day is Billie Eilish because she had a starring role
- 16:38Speaker 1: in her brother's wedding. She actually officiated his marriage to
- 16:41Speaker 1: his longtime love, Claudia. Now the Grammy winner stood between
- 16:45Speaker 1: the bride and the groom at a ranch in Santa Barbara, California,
- 16:49Speaker 1: wearing an olive green dress, looking beautiful. Now, she became
- 16:53Speaker 1: emotional during the intimate ceremony, wiping tears from her eyes
- 16:57Speaker 1: as Phineas read his vows. And, of course, later they
- 17:00Speaker 1: broke into laughter. Now, he wore a classic black suit.
- 17:04Speaker 1: The bride walked down the aisle in Oscar de la Rente.
- 17:07Speaker 1: And we know that this brother and sister have been
- 17:11Speaker 1: very close. Phineas is her longtime producer. Billie Eilish is
- 17:15Speaker 1: longtime producer. So this was just a moment of sibling love.
- 17:19Speaker 2: I just love that. I do.
- 17:21Speaker 1: I want my sister to officiate my wedding.
- 17:23Speaker 2: That's what I've decided. I'm going to do it. I'm
- 17:26Speaker 2: going to do it. OK, you can do it. We'll
- 17:28Speaker 2: all want to do it. You've got so many people
- 17:30Speaker 2: that love you. We'll all want to do it. Our
- 17:32Speaker 2: nicest the day. And now my naughtiest the day. Naughty, naughty, naughty.
- 17:34Speaker 2: Meghan Markle has posted some very strange images. Now, they
- 17:38Speaker 2: are a final look at Montecito, but they are sort
- 17:41Speaker 2: of like a glimpse of into the life she left behind.
- 17:44Speaker 2: So she's in her vegetable garden at her $ 14 million
- 17:46Speaker 2: Montecito home where Harry and the children used to play.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Now they're back in the UK. It's just such odd
- 17:52Speaker 2: timing that she wrote, soaking in the last of summer.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Her life is now very different. I'm going to give
- 17:59Speaker 2: her a pass on this one, but there's going to
- 18:00Speaker 2: be a lot of backlash for this. Is she already
- 18:02Speaker 2: missing home? Is she already missing America? I think what
- 18:07Speaker 2: might have been a smarter idea is to post a
- 18:09Speaker 2: picture of the English countryside and look to the future.
- 18:12Speaker 2: And I'm back in Britain. I'm so excited. To post
- 18:15Speaker 2: about the past when you're moving into the future tells
- 18:18Speaker 2: me something is a little off. And what is the day?
- 18:22Speaker 2: Let's end with a moment of Rob. You get a Rob,
- 18:24Speaker 2: you get a Rob, you get a Rob. Let me
- 18:25Speaker 2: tell you a secret. The strongest people you know feel
- 18:29Speaker 2: like quitting all the time just like you. The strongest
- 18:32Speaker 2: people you know have wanted to quit more times than
- 18:36Speaker 2: you could ever imagine. They've had mornings when they don't
- 18:39Speaker 2: want to get out of bed. I've had those. Days
- 18:42Speaker 2: when nothing worked. I try everything and nothing works. Nights
- 18:45Speaker 2: when they wondered if this fight was all worth it. Strengths.
- 18:49Speaker 2: isn't never feeling defeated. No, that's not strength. It's understanding
- 18:55Speaker 2: that feelings change. The people who keep going aren't magically tougher, smarter, superior. No,
- 19:03Speaker 2: they have simply learned not to make permanent decisions based
- 19:07Speaker 2: on temporary emotions. So when you feel like quitting, don't.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Give the feeling time to pass. Once again, successful people
- 19:17Speaker 2: feel like quitting all the time. We don't realise that.
- 19:21Speaker 2: I was watching this amazing documentary on Dolly Parton. In
- 19:24Speaker 2: the 90s, Dolly couldn't get arrested. Music had changed. Her
- 19:28Speaker 2: record label dropped her. She felt awful every day and
- 19:32Speaker 2: she kept going. That's the difference between successful people and
- 19:36Speaker 2: people who are not successful. It's not the feelings. It's
- 19:40Speaker 2: not the emotions. It's the fact that when I feel stressed...
- 19:46Speaker 2: when I feel like it's not going to work, when
- 19:49Speaker 2: I feel like quitting, I keep going and you can
- 19:53Speaker 2: do it too. Hey, that is it for today. Thank
- 19:57Speaker 2: you so much for listening to The Naughty But Nice
- 19:59Speaker 2: with Rob and Deesha, Miss Deesha. Yes. of Elvis Duran
- 20:03Speaker 2: and iHeartRadio. Check out my sub stack, robshooter.substack.com. And my
- 20:06Speaker 2: new novel, it's called Queen Elizabeth III. It's causing a
- 20:09Speaker 2: little bit of controversy online. People have strong feelings about
- 20:14Speaker 2: this book. It's set 15 years in the future. There
- 20:17Speaker 2: is a new queen on the throne and it's not
- 20:19Speaker 2: who you think it's going to be through a disaster
- 20:22Speaker 2: and some sort of clever plotting. Lilibet. ends up the
- 20:27Speaker 2: Queen of England. So that is going to cause a
- 20:30Speaker 2: lot of emotions. I get it. I just ask that
- 20:32Speaker 2: you read it before you decide. I think you're going
- 20:36Speaker 2: to really like it. If you give me a chance,
- 20:39Speaker 2: I promise, this is not revolutionary. This is not mean.
- 20:42Speaker 2: This is not spiteful. It's actually really rather sweet. So
- 20:46Speaker 2: you can pre-order it now. It's out in December. Please
- 20:49Speaker 2: give me a chance. And remember, all together now, if
- 20:52Speaker 2: you're going to be naughty... You gotta be.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Nice.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Take care, everybody. Bye-bye.
