- 0:00OK, I'm going to give you some first date tips and questions to
- 0:04ask. Hang on.
- 0:05First of all you all know that I am down with coffee.
- 0:08Down with coffee I love personally, I love coffee.
- 0:11Go go drinking it. But as a date I am down with
- 0:14coffee. So I need you to level up your
- 0:17first date game. And for those of you who say,
- 0:20well, I'm not going to invest time, I might not like them,
- 0:22that means you did not pre qualify harder up front.
- 0:26So pre qualifying out of the gate is key, which means you
- 0:31need to get on a call with this person and on the call is where
- 0:35you ask them certain things you see if you like their voice, you
- 0:38see if you like the vibe, you see if they have the kind of
- 0:41energy you're looking for, you see if they have the kind of
- 0:44lifestyle you're looking for. OK, So some things you can ask
- 0:47even at that phase, even before date one would be so what's you
- 0:51know, what are your top three restaurants that you love in
- 0:53town? Now according to what they
- 0:55picked, that's going to tell you a ton of things about them.
- 0:58Are they basic and they like your basic chain simple
- 1:01restaurants? Are they somebody who picks
- 1:03eclectic things or they like sushi or they like, you know,
- 1:07very, very high end Michelin star restaurants that's going to
- 1:11give you an insight into who they are as a person.
- 1:15It really is. I know that sounds strange but
- 1:16asking them their three favorite restaurants in the area and then
- 1:20you could say, well how recently have you been there?
- 1:22Because a lot of times people like to talk about pie in the
- 1:24sky stuff like oh I love this blah blah blah Michelin star
- 1:28restaurant. Oh really?
- 1:30When's the last time you were there?
- 1:31Oh God, I don't know, 2005. I love to travel.
- 1:35Oh really? When's the last time you were
- 1:36there? I don't know, 2010.
- 1:39You know, you've got to uncover so you've got to pre qualify
- 1:42first when people give you answers like hey, what do you do
- 1:45for a living? Oh you know I'm in sales.
- 1:47You can't just then move it along and ignore it.
- 1:50You have to say, oh, so well what do you sell?
- 1:52Oh, you know, computer, computer software.
- 1:56Well, what does that mean? Computer software.
- 1:58You know, I'm. I'm fascinated.
- 2:00Tell me more. Got to keep peeling back the
- 2:03layers. So pre qualifying is key.
- 2:05That way when you get to the date, here's how it should go.
- 2:08So a first date, in my opinion, at fair minimum should be lunch
- 2:12because lunch is like not such a rush.
- 2:15You can eat, you can talk, you enjoy a meal together or you
- 2:18could do drinks that lead into a meal or dinner or dinner.
- 2:23In my world, I said everybody up for dinner.
- 2:25If anybody says I want coffee, I'm like, wrong answer, that
- 2:28ain't going to happen. So let's say you're at dinner.
- 2:31So if your dinner now hopefully you've already pre qualified,
- 2:34you know their favorite restaurants, you know their
- 2:36lifestyle, you know if they're legally divorced, you know if
- 2:40they want a relationship because this is part of pre qualifying
- 2:42before you even get there. So then when you're on the date,
- 2:45then you want to focus on more specific things that you know
- 2:49that you don't know about them. Like hey, do you watch much
- 2:52Netflix? Like what's the latest show
- 2:54you're watching? Then you'll find out are they
- 2:55ATV person? Are they not ATV person?
- 2:57Then you'll say, So what else do you have going on this weekend?
- 3:01What? What's the last book you read?
- 3:04Are you a morning person? Are you a night person?
- 3:06This is the kind of stuff that I think you should be talking
- 3:08about on a first date to see if now your lifestyles and
- 3:12interests will align. That's what should be the focus
- 3:16of the first date. OK, OK, I hope it helps.
