discount hope and we need to understand

the importance of hope. Hope is like the

fuel behind the faith. So I want to

share with you what the Holy Spirit said

to me. But before I do, I want to remind

something to share. It's the gospel. But

a door opener to the gospel is prophetic

wisdom, a word of knowledge that shows

remember, says the Lord, that I am right

praying on. So, for about the next

while I explain what we're going to pray

that just you know, I' I've been this

way, like I just could something I

couldn't shake, you know? uh praying. I

was in the word, doing everything right,

you know, at least, you know, as far as

I could tell. But something was just

off. And not devastatingly off, you

know, just off enough to rob me of my

peace or make me irritable with people

who didn't deserve it. Come on. You

know, just off enough that, you know, I

just kind of felt like sometimes I was

going through the motions. It's a and I

learned it's a vexing spirit. And most

believers have never been taught about

this. You know, we know about Jezebel,

we know about Leviathan, but vexation,

it flies under the radar. And that's

that's that's how it operates. It's how

it wants to operate. So, the word vex

shows up through the Bible, and it it

it's it's it's a Greek word uh I

probably can't pronounce right, but

Oleo. And it means to be disturbed and

harassed.

Disturbed and harassed. And it carries

the picture of something swarming you

rather than just hitting you in one

clean blow. Just swarms around you like

like like those little flies, you know?

And that's the strategy. Vexation wears

you down through like accumulation. It's

like one thing after another or or or

lowgrade irritation like maybe an

emotional heaviness that just follows

you even into your quiet time with the

Lord or or or or confusion that just it

just doesn't lift no matter how much you

pray. Now, Peter actually tells us in

two Peter 2 7 and 8 that Lot was vexed.

And so this is in the scripture. He was

a righteous man living in a defiled

environment and the constant exposure to

wickedness created this spiritual toil

on his soul. This to this this toll

rather on his soul. And so day after

day, day after day, Lot was just he was

vexed. And the text says his righteous

soul was tormented. And that word in the

Greek is basanizo, which means torture,

distress, put in great pain. And so this

is a big deal we're going to pray

harassing spirit swarming around us,

trying to steal our peace, putting

pressure on our tongue, trying to get us

to sign contracts with the enemy, with

the words of our mouth. No, we will

speak words of life, not death. In the

name of Jesus, that is our declaration.

I declare that our minds are not a

playground for the enemy, not a garbage

dump for his trash thoughts. No, we

evict every vexing spirit hiding in our

environment in the name of Jesus. And we

shut every door. Every door that gave

vexation access to our lives, we shut

it. Even if that means changing jobs, oh

accumulated pressure. First one thing,

It's demonically stirred in our soul and
