- 1:06Speaker 1: Hello friends, chaplain Terry Warner here.
- 1:10Speaker 1: This podcast is Faith Without Action Will Not Water your Mustard Seed.
- 1:14Speaker 1: It's season 2025, episode 34.
- 1:20Speaker 1: It'll be published on September, the 1st 2025.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Faith without action will not water your mustard seed.
- 1:29Speaker 1: For, as the human body, apart from the spirit, our spirit, man in other words, is lifeless, dead.
- 1:37Speaker 1: So faith, which is now apart from its works, our actions, is dead.
- 1:44Speaker 1: James 2,.26 amplified and I added to it to clarify some things.
- 1:52Speaker 1: I was always praying for items and working hard to help God bring it to pass.
- 1:56Speaker 1: I thought I was using my faith when I was using my human skills.
- 2:00Speaker 1: There was a main reason that my faith was not working.
- 2:04Speaker 1: It was because there was no action to bolster and help build my faith.
- 2:08Speaker 1: But, chaplain Terry, the word says faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Romans 10, 17.
- 2:17Speaker 1: For most of the things in prayer I asked for I received.
- 2:21Speaker 1: But I always had trouble with God's surplus and gifts which, in a lot of cases, passed me by.
- 2:27Speaker 1: I remember one time I was going to get my faith to working by confessing and believing the Lord for a pair of socks.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I could have bought a pair of socks, but I had decided I was going to use my faith to get my socks.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Needless to say, that didn't work out very well.
- 2:48Speaker 1: I thought that by starting small and confessing that God would meet my needs, according to Philippians 4.19 and voila.
- 2:54Speaker 1: I would then leave for something bigger.
- 2:57Speaker 1: That confessing and reading and hearing God's word did not make my socks materialize.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Why Go to Genesis and look how God created everything.
- 3:09Speaker 1: He spoke the words that instructed the Holy Spirit to bring about the desired results.
- 3:14Speaker 1: He was specific and he said what he wanted and he spoke what he wanted.
- 3:19Speaker 1: I just said I wanted somebody to bring me a new pair of socks.
- 3:23Speaker 1: I didn't specify the size, the color and I didn't get serious about it at all.
- 3:28Speaker 1: I thought God would be like a candy machine where I could just deposit my words and out would pop my socks.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Well, I finally went and bought a pair of socks.
- 3:41Speaker 1: By the way, he directed his faith-filled words to the Holy Spirit.
- 3:47Speaker 1: God's words are filled with faith and God, the Father, directed his words to the Holy Spirit, or to the Holy Spirit of God, who was moving across the expanse and waiting and listening for his God's command.
- 4:02Speaker 1: How'd that come?
- 4:05Speaker 1: It came through the word Jesus.
- 4:08Speaker 1: If you will notice, in Genesis 1.1, the word Elohim is used for God.
- 4:14Speaker 1: This word, describing God in the Hebrew is plural and means more and able to bring about.
- 4:21Speaker 1: It is also masculine.
- 4:23Speaker 1: In contrast, the word earth, referring to our planet, is feminine.
- 4:29Speaker 1: God speaks the word and in doing so, plants words or seeds to bring about a desired result.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Where does he plant them?
- 4:39Speaker 1: God's a spirit.
- 4:40Speaker 1: He plants them in our heart.
- 4:41Speaker 1: That's the earth.
- 4:42Speaker 1: He plants them in our heart.
- 4:43Speaker 1: That's the earth.
- 4:44Speaker 1: That's our earth.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Where do we plant them.
- 4:47Speaker 1: We plant them in our heart.
- 4:49Speaker 1: A lot of us think we're supposed to go out there and plant a bunch of mustard seed.
- 4:53Speaker 1: That's not what we're talking about In the physical world.
- 5:05Speaker 1: We plant a seed into the earth to bring about a plant that we can use for food, clothing and meet our physical needs.
- 5:08Speaker 1: But we're not dealing in the physical world, we're dealing in the spiritual world.
- 5:14Speaker 1: This means that it's got to be planted in our hearts.
- 5:19Speaker 1: The seed has the necessary ingredients to activate the earth and fertilize the plant to bring about a harvest, and God is the supplier of the seed.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Are the necessary things are in the seed to bring about that, what we desire in the heart of man, and once we believe it in our heart, it materializes.
- 5:39Speaker 1: This is also true in the spirit world.
- 5:40Speaker 1: To operate and live in this world, you must have have a body.
- 5:44Speaker 1: That is why God created man as a spirit, and man has a soul made up of his mind, his will and emotion, and he lives in a body or his earth suit.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Man then uses his spirit words to sow seeds and raise a crop by watering and cultivating his words or seeds.
- 6:05Speaker 1: When creating Adam, he gave this being man the authority in three worlds spirit, soul and body.
- 6:13Speaker 1: The spirit of God is the main authority over everything and if you are a Christian or have given your heart over to Christ, you can take your words and control what happens when you start speaking God's word.
- 6:26Speaker 1: It is the Spirit who gives life, he is the life giver.
- 6:31Speaker 1: The flesh conveys no benefit whatever.
- 6:34Speaker 1: There's no profit in it.
- 6:36Speaker 1: The words or truth that I have been speaking to you are Spirit and life.
- 6:41Speaker 1: That's Jesus talking.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Everything in our world is done and established through words that we speak.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Once we give our heart to the Lord, we become part of the body of Christ.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Jesus is the head and the believers make up the body of Christ.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Now let's look at some scriptures that will enlighten us about our tongue and open the door for us to walk in victory and have total authority over the devil and his cohorts.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Number one, for we are not wrestling against flesh and blood, contending only with physical opponents, but against these despotisms, against the powers, against the master spirits who are the powers, against the master spirits who are the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit of forces of wickedness in a heavenly, supernatural sphere.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Ephesians 6, verse 12, amplified.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Number two.
- 7:39Speaker 1: For we often stumble and fall and offend in many things.
- 7:43Speaker 1: And if anyone does not offend in speech, never says the wrong things, he is fully developed character.
- 7:50Speaker 1: He has a fully developed character and a perfect man able to control his whole body and curb his entire nature.
- 7:58Speaker 1: That's James 3, verse 2, amplified, number 3.
- 8:05Speaker 1: This is Jesus talking.
- 8:07Speaker 1: You, offspring of vipers, how can you speak good things when you are evil or wicked?
- 8:12Speaker 1: No-transcript of the heart, the mouth speaks.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Let me smooth that out.
- 8:25Speaker 1: For out of the fullness, the overflow, the super-speaking abundance in your heart, of the heart, the mouth speaks.
- 8:33Speaker 1: The good man, from his inner good treasure, flings forth good things, and the evil man, out of his inner storehouse, flings forth evil things.
- 8:42Speaker 1: But I tell you on the day of judgment, matthew 12, 34-37.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Also Luke 6, 45.
- 9:04Speaker 1: And also I put in there the Matthew.
- 9:11Speaker 1: I already said Number 4.
- 9:14Speaker 1: He who has ears to hear, let him be listening and let him consider and perceive and comprehend by hearing Matthew 13-9.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Amplified Also Mark 4 and Luke 8.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Those are chapters.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Number five.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Do you not see and understand that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the abominable stomach and so passes on into the place where it discharges or deposited and so passes on into the place where its discharges are deposited.
- 9:45Speaker 1: But whatever comes out of the mouth comes from the heart, and this is what makes a man unclean and defiles him.
- 9:52Speaker 1: For out of the heart come evil thoughts, reasoning and disputing and designs such as murder, adultery, sexual vice, theft, false, false witnessing, slander and irreverent speech.
- 10:06Speaker 1: I'd be cursing.
- 10:07Speaker 1: That's Matthew 15, 17-20, amplified.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Also Mark 7.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Number six truly, I tell you, whatever you forbid and declare to be improper and unlawful on earth must be what is already forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit and declare proper and lawful on earth must be what is already permitted in heaven.
- 10:36Speaker 1: This heaven that Jesus is talking about is not where God lives.
- 10:41Speaker 1: This heaven is where we live in our cosmos.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Again, I tell you, if any two of you agree, harmonize together, make a symphony together about whatever, anything and everything that they may ask, it will come to pass and be done for them by my father in heaven.
- 11:00Speaker 1: For wherever two or three are gathered, are drawn together as my followers into my name.
- 11:06Speaker 1: There I am in the midst of them.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Matthew 18, 18-20, amplified.
- 11:12Speaker 1: And God said to Moses you're going to like this.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Remember Moses talking to God in the burning bush.
- 11:20Speaker 1: And God said to Moses I am who I am and what I am, and I will be what I will be.
- 11:27Speaker 1: And he said you shall say this to the Israelites I am has sent me to you.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Exodus 2.14.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Jesus is entering into his last week on earth before facing his crucifixion.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Jesus rides into Jerusalem on a donkey.
- 11:44Speaker 1: After the triumphal entry, jesus leaves and heads toward Bethany for the night.
- 11:49Speaker 1: It was a place about two miles from Jerusalem and Jesus could rest and avoid the crowds, in fellowship with his close friends Mary, martha and Lazarus, picking up this scenario in verse 18,.
- 12:04Speaker 1: In the early dawn the next morning, as he was coming back to the city, he was hungry and he saw one leafy fig tree above the roadside.
- 12:12Speaker 1: He went to it, but he found nothing but leaves on it.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Seeing that in the fig tree the fruit appears at the same time as the leaves, and he said to it Never again shall fruit grow on you.
- 12:25Speaker 1: And the tree withered at once.
- 12:27Speaker 1: When the disciples saw it, they marveled and greatly asked that would be the next morning.
- 12:34Speaker 1: How is it that the fig tree has withered away all at once?
- 12:39Speaker 1: And Jesus answered them Truly.
- 12:41Speaker 1: I say unto you, if you have faith, a firm relying on trust, and do not doubt you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, be taken up and cast into the sea, it will be done and whatever you ask for in prayer, having faith and really believing, you will receive.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Heaven and earth will perish and pass away, but my words will not perish away or pass away.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Mark 13, 31.
- 13:12Speaker 1: That's item number nine, number ten, and I tell you, whoever declares openly, speaking out freely, and confesses that he is my worshiper and acknowledges me before men, the Son of man will also declare and confess and acknowledge him before the angels of God.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Luke 12, 8, amplified Number 11.
- 13:35Speaker 1: The apostle said to the Lord increase our faith, that trust and confidence that spring from our belief in God.
- 13:42Speaker 1: And the Lord answered All right, hang on.
- 13:46Speaker 1: If you have faith, trust and confidence in God, even so small like a grain of mustard seed or a grain of rice, you could say to this mulberry tree be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea and it would obey you.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Luke 17, 5 through 6, amplified.
- 14:06Speaker 1: We're not talking about pulling up a forest or jerking mountains into the ocean.
- 14:12Speaker 1: We're talking about your mustard seed size of faith, the measure of faith that was given to you when you became a christian.
- 14:20Speaker 1: It was made possible when, when Jesus rose from the dead, that faith that raised Jesus from the dead is the same amount, the same measure you got when God raised you from the dead with Jesus, number 12.
- 14:40Speaker 1: I assure you most solemnly, I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in me, he will himself that's you be able to do the things that I do, and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father.
- 14:55Speaker 1: John 14, 12, amplified John 15, 17.
- 14:59Speaker 1: John 16, 22-24, amplified 13.
- 15:05Speaker 1: And he, jesus, said With what can we compare the kingdom of God with, or what shall we, or what parable shall we use to illustrate and explain it?
- 15:16Speaker 1: It is like this is the kingdom of God.
- 15:18Speaker 1: It is like a grain of mustard seed which, when it is sown upon the ground, where's the ground?
- 15:24Speaker 1: It's in our heart.
- 15:25Speaker 1: That's the spiritual seed that God puts in.
- 15:28Speaker 1: It may be small like a mustard seed, but when you feed it and nurture it and water and cultivate it with the word of God and believe, it grows and becomes mighty.
- 15:40Speaker 1: You got the same faith as anybody else.
- 15:45Speaker 1: We all got the same the measure of faith.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Some translations say a measure of faith.
- 15:51Speaker 1: In my opinion, that's the wrong translation.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Yet when it is sown, this mustard seed of faith, yet when the faith seed is sown, cultivated in the water, it grows up and becomes the greatest of all garden herbs and puts out large branches.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Your surroundings, above you, is your garden.
- 16:14Speaker 1: If you're blessed, that's your garden.
- 16:18Speaker 1: That's what you're bringing forth.
- 16:19Speaker 1: You're not growing mustard seed.
- 16:21Speaker 1: The mustard seed is just used to show you that forth.
- 16:22Speaker 1: You're not growing mustard seed.
- 16:22Speaker 1: The mustard seed is just used to show you that it's not the size of the seed, it's the quality of the seed.
- 16:28Speaker 1: It becomes the greatest of all garden herbs and puts out large branches so that the birds of the air are able to make nests and dwell in its shade Number 14.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Therefore, do not worry and be anxious saying what are we going to eat or what are we going to have to drink, or what are we going to have to wear.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Why not say this?
- 16:50Speaker 1: I added that, for the Gentiles, the heathen wish for and crave and diligently seek all these things, the material things and your Heavenly Father knows well that you need them all but seek, aim at and strive after, first of all, his kingdom and his righteousness, his way of doing and being right, and all these things taken together will be given you.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Besides, you are literally growing the measure of faith seed that was given into your heart by God when you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
- 17:28Speaker 1: You are literally growing that measure of faith.
- 17:31Speaker 1: That's Romans.
- 17:33Speaker 1: And Romans 12, 3 says it is not a measure because God has no respect of persons.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Romans 2, 11 and Romans 12.3 says For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, according as God has dealt to every man the measure of faith.
- 17:59Speaker 1: That's King James Version.
- 18:01Speaker 1: So we conclude that if you have asked Jesus to forgive you of your sins and made him Lord of your life, then you can quote Romans 10, 9 and 10 with confidence.
- 18:11Speaker 1: So quote this with me out loud that if I confess with my mouth Lord Jesus and shall believe in my heart that God has raised me from the dead, I shall be saved.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Saved from everything, for with the heart man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
- 18:33Speaker 1: That's the King James Version.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Saved from everything is the Chaplain Terry Warner Version.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Salvation is more than just getting to go to heaven.
- 18:43Speaker 1: If you're rescued out of the ocean from drowning, you're also rescued from the sharks.
- 18:50Speaker 1: The mustard seed of God has been planted by God into your heart.
- 18:56Speaker 1: You can proceed to your next step by watering and cultivating your seed of faith.
- 19:00Speaker 1: That way, you can bring forth your mustard seed and with it all the things that God has added to it.
- 19:07Speaker 1: You have a blessed day In Jesus' name.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Amen.
