Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: The All Blacks continue their Grand Slam Tour this weekend.
- 0:02Speaker 1: They're up against Scotland at Murrayfield, kicking off four ten
- 0:05Speaker 1: Sunday our time. They haven't lost to the Scotts in
- 0:08Speaker 1: one hundred and seventeen years. Doesn't mean this mon't be
- 0:11Speaker 1: the first time. Tony Johnson's Rugby commentated with us this morning, Tony.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Good morning, boring Jesse.
- 0:17Speaker 1: How important is the Murrayfield Anniversary?
- 0:20Speaker 2: Sorry? Sorry, god, I've got the wrong place, Ryan, Sorry.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Mate, Okay, no worries.
- 0:24Speaker 2: I'm curious. I've been doing so many different interviews since
- 0:27Speaker 2: I've been over here and I'm still got gent leg
- 0:29Speaker 2: made my thousand apologies Tony.
- 0:31Speaker 1: It's no problem.
- 0:32Speaker 2: You can call me whatever you like. I know I'm
- 0:35Speaker 2: going to definitely call you right. You can call me
- 0:38Speaker 2: anything you like now I've done that. What a great
- 0:40Speaker 2: way to start today.
- 0:42Speaker 1: How you're up at all hours? How important is the
- 0:45Speaker 1: Murrayfield Anniversary to the Scots?
- 0:48Speaker 2: Well, it's very important. I'm making a big thing of it,
- 0:52Speaker 2: and there's a real buzz around Edinburgh. I've been here
- 0:55Speaker 2: just a couple of days, but boy there's some excitement.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Although having said that, it's a bit tempered. Now the
- 1:01Speaker 2: Scotland team has been named today and they're missing a
- 1:05Speaker 2: couple of really good players. Douhann Pandermerva there, big South
- 1:10Speaker 2: African born left winger, is not there and the front
- 1:13Speaker 2: rowers Xander Vegason is out as well. So everyone was
- 1:17Speaker 2: thinking this is going to be a real threat to Scott,
- 1:20Speaker 2: and I still think they will be, but not quite
- 1:23Speaker 2: as much as was initially anticipated because of those defections.
- 1:28Speaker 1: What's happening with the Barretts is Scott's going to be
- 1:31Speaker 1: back on the field. What's going on?
- 1:33Speaker 2: Well, okay, so Jordie has gone back to New Zealand.
- 1:37Speaker 2: He had a knee and a high ankle strain, so
- 1:41Speaker 2: that happened very early on in the game in Chicago,
- 1:43Speaker 2: so unfortunately for him, he's gone back to his end.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Scott got a very deep laceration in his lower leg,
- 1:49Speaker 2: but that's healing really well and so they think he'll
- 1:52Speaker 2: be back for the Test at Quicken Him next week
- 1:55Speaker 2: and they'll need him for that too. And meanwhile, Body
- 1:58Speaker 2: who had a pretty tough time of it, took a
- 2:01Speaker 2: couple of big knocks in the game in Chicago, but
- 2:03Speaker 2: he's bounced back really well. From that. In fact, he shopped,
- 2:06Speaker 2: he's telling us on the day off yesterday shot one
- 2:08Speaker 2: of his best ever round of golf at one of
- 2:11Speaker 2: the flash courses here, so he's obviously and good Nick.
- 2:15Speaker 2: So yeah, at the moment, it's a very rare thing
- 2:17Speaker 2: that there's only one Barratt going to begin your back
- 2:19Speaker 2: team this weekend.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Very weird indeed, but we look forward to seeing the game. Tony,
- 2:23Speaker 1: appreciate your time this morning. That's Tony Johnson.
