- 0:06Hi. I'm Jay Fallon, and thank you
- 0:09for listening to the slippery slope.
- 0:12So, there's an article, I want to run through fairly quickly
- 0:15and it amazed me. They're going through this
- 0:17article. It's actually got a probably
- 0:19touches on three, at least three separate stories.
- 0:24So the headline comes from crikey crikey.com, in Australia,
- 0:29believe it is. And the headline says, 'you oil
- 0:31ban in days, Russia, China closer.
- 0:35So the argument goes, so the European Union is likely to
- 0:39agree and embargo on Russian. Oil imports within days.
- 0:44As Moscow says he the anticipates, its economic ties
- 0:48growing with China. After being isolated by the West
- 0:53over its invasion of Ukraine, okay?
- 0:56So the union are talking about you know this embargo on Russian
- 1:00oil imports and Russia is immediately coming back with hey
- 1:05or we're just going to pull closer to China and as we know
- 1:08as I've spoken about before Russia and China war already He
- 1:12signaled that they want to be the new Global superpower.
- 1:17They want to be the ones, basically the World.
- 1:19Police, the ones that the super power to take over from America
- 1:24as we see. Hello, America is still a
- 1:27superpower a militarily, it is politically, it's superpower,
- 1:33status is is diminishing very quickly.
- 1:37Anyway, I'll go on with this so the Ukrainian President Vladimir
- 1:40zalenski As Told. Global Business Leaders in Davos
- 1:44Davos that the home of the world economic forum and he's sold
- 1:49told them in day of Davos on Monday, the world must increase
- 1:52sanctions against Russia to deter other countries from using
- 1:56Brute Force to achieve their aims.
- 1:59So many of the European Union's. 27 member states are heavily
- 2:04reliant on Russian energy prompting criticism from Kiev
- 2:09that the block has not moved quickly enough to hold.
- 2:12Supplies. So, just quickly touching on
- 2:14this, the EU. The 27 member states are heavily
- 2:18reliant on Russian energy. And as I said, I think is that
- 2:22two weeks ago in a podcast, in an episode that I did, you know,
- 2:26are the Germans still, do you think the Germans are still
- 2:28laughing at President Trump? Because when he made that speech
- 2:32a couple of years ago saying, hey, Germany and other European
- 2:36nations are way too reliant on Russian oil, Russian gas,
- 2:39Russian energy Supply, and They just sat there laughing at him,
- 2:43at a United Nations meeting. I really think it was just their
- 2:47pride and their own, you know, they thought they were the
- 2:50smartest people in the room and how why should they listen to
- 2:53someone like Trump? And now look at them.
- 2:55Anyway, that's different things. So, so now we have these
- 2:58European nations realizing that. Yeah.
- 3:00Okay. We relied on Russian on Russian
- 3:04energy Supply way too heavily and now they're paying the price
- 3:08so they're trying to do something about it.
- 3:10So this article goes to He goes on to say, hungry stuck.
- 3:14As in the nation of Hungary stuck to its demands on Monday
- 3:18for energy investment, 40 degrees to an embargo and this
- 3:22is caused to clash with European Union states pushing for Swift
- 3:27approval, which I think is a bit hypocritical that, you know,
- 3:30these European states are now pushing for a swift approval.
- 3:34They want it done quickly when they want it done.
- 3:37I mean, and yet, when they were told a couple of years ago, as I
- 3:40just said, you know that they went And laughed.
- 3:42They went and laughs. No, no.
- 3:43They know what they're doing, but now now that it's in there
- 3:46that it suits them, they want Swift approval.
- 3:49So the European Union has offered up to 2 billion euros,
- 3:53to Central and Eastern Nations, lacking non-russian Supply.
- 3:58They said that we will reach a breakthrough within days.
- 4:01The Jerk. That's Germany's economic
- 4:03Minister Robert. Hey back, he's told their
- 4:06broadcasters over there. So Russia's three-month-long
- 4:09Invasion, the biggest attack on a Date, since 1945 has seen more
- 4:14than six point, five million people.
- 4:16Flee abroad and turn cities to rubble and prompted.
- 4:20The unprecedented imposition of Western sanctions on Russia.
- 4:25But the foreign but Russia's foreign minister Sergei lavrov,
- 4:29said the Kremlin would focus on developing ties with China as
- 4:34economic links with the United States and Europe would cut.
- 4:37And he goes on to say, if they as in the west want to offer
- 4:41something, Into something in terms of resuming relations,
- 4:45then we will seriously consider whether we will need it or not.
- 4:49That's what he said in the speech.
- 4:51And now that the West has taken a dictators position, our
- 4:55economic ties with China will grow even faster.
- 4:58Well so so Russia is is accusing of is accusing the west of being
- 5:04dictators. And as I said you know it's a
- 5:08little hypocritical of Europe to sit there and demand That
- 5:12Nations fall into line and that they take on this band of
- 5:17Russian oil when they could have done it, they could have taken
- 5:19measures several years ago, but no, they thought they were the
- 5:22smartest people in the room way too much pride.
- 5:25They didn't want to think how, dare anyone point out that they
- 5:28were relying on a on, basically, a dictatorship, for their oil
- 5:32supplies and now they're paying that price, but even more.
- 5:37So, but even more interesting, the next section of this
- 5:40article, okay, it's Says, after this Russian after this, Russian
- 5:45Minister has made these comments.
- 5:46How China, how Russia and China? The economic ties will grow even
- 5:51faster these comments. Come, as US, President.
- 5:55Joe Biden is currently touring Asia, where he said, he would be
- 6:00willing to use Force to defend Taiwan against Chinese
- 6:04aggression. And this is a comment that
- 6:06seemed to stretch the limits of the ambiguous US policy towards.
- 6:11The self ruled Island and just in the news, just over the last
- 6:15week, we've seen headlines stating that China has been
- 6:19conducting military exercises, in preparation for an invasion
- 6:24intertwine for taking that what it sees as being their actual
- 6:30Island and nation that actually belongs to mainland China.
- 6:35So we're seeing this rhetoric Step Up.
- 6:38Russia and China cementing their ties.
- 6:41Same day, their tires are going to grow even more Joe Biden.
- 6:45Seemingly saying, hey we're willing to use Force where
- 6:48you're willing to go into. What does that mean that
- 6:51million? They're willing to go into a
- 6:52full-on war against China. Interesting times interesting,
- 6:57interesting to see that Joe Biden is willing to say that and
- 7:01not that I've heard. I haven't heard anyone walk back
- 7:03his comments yet, you know. Usually if Joe Biden says
- 7:06something, Ridiculous would see someone in the White House, walk
- 7:10back his comments, make some excuse but I haven't heard
- 7:14anything like that at the moment.
- 7:16So maybe maybe this is what the people in charge in the white
- 7:20house actually are willing to do.
- 7:22Maybe they are actually willing to take military action to help
- 7:26support Taiwan. But going on in this article,
- 7:29says, Lansky is revealed that Ukraine's.
- 7:31Worst military losses from a single attack of the war on
- 7:35Monday saying 87 people have been Killed last week.
- 7:38When Russian forces struck a Barracks zielinski is said each
- 7:42time. We tell our partners that we
- 7:43need modern aim to ballistic weapons modern military
- 7:47aircraft. We are not making just empty
- 7:49requests so these requests of the lives of many people who
- 7:54would not have been killed. If we had received all the
- 7:56weapons, we have been requesting so they've been a pledge by
- 8:00Denmark to send Harpoon anti-ship missiles and launch it
- 8:04to you. Fine announced by the United
- 8:07States on And a, this is the first sign since the Russian
- 8:10invasion in February that Kiev will receive us made.
- 8:14Weapons that significantly extend its striking range.
- 8:19So the harpoons are made by Boeing and they could be used to
- 8:24push the Russian Navy away from Russia's from Ukraine's.
- 8:29Black Sea ports, allowing exports of grain and other
- 8:34agricultural products to resume. Now this is This is very
- 8:38interesting because if the world economic forum is warning of a
- 8:42shortage of Global Food Supplies.
- 8:45And yet, we have known for months that we've had that
- 8:49Ukraine has, which is a major supplier of grain and other
- 8:54agricultural products worldwide, okay?
- 8:57And that we've known that this this war with Russia and Ukraine
- 9:01was going to stifle was going to impede on Global Food Supplies.
- 9:07Why is is it that these nations? Why isn't it that our global
- 9:10leaders have not taken the steps?
- 9:13The military steps which have been needed long ago?
- 9:16Why hasn't things like these Harpoon missiles and the
- 9:20launcher? Why haven't they been provided
- 9:23to Ukraine three months ago? Why wouldn't they provided
- 9:28before Russia invaded so they could hold back.
- 9:32The you the Russian Navy so that we wouldn't have this problem.
- 9:35This problem with the with the black Black Sea ports and the
- 9:39inability to to access the grain that Ukraine supplies, why
- 9:45wasn't this done months ago. As I said before, the global
- 9:49leaders don't allow a good crisis to go to waste.
- 9:54And while we're distracted with monkeypox with another Global
- 9:58outbreak Global pandemic, there is a lot more going on here than
- 10:03just a war between Russia and Ukraine.
- 10:08They're deals going on gasps. Steel's going on oil deals,
- 10:12going on, there's plenty of money.
- 10:15Changing Hands, weapons being sold weapons being brought deals
- 10:19being done between Russia and China deals, being done between
- 10:23Taiwan and possibly America. We've decided that they're going
- 10:27to step in militarily now. All these deals that are being
- 10:31done, don't just think for a second that all this is is war
- 10:36between Russia and Ukraine. Don't think for a second that
- 10:40all it is is Vladimir Putin. Just trying to reform.
- 10:45The former Soviet Union, this is way bigger than any of that I
- 10:50believe there are bigger, way more nefarious plays at work,
- 10:55right here. And we are seeing all these
- 10:57things come together. And I believe that we, we all
- 11:00these things are going to come together and it will be as the
- 11:03world economic Forum wants it to be.
- 11:05We're going to see the formation of a one world government and
- 11:09one leader rising up just the way they wanted to happen.
- 11:15That's my opinion. Thank you for listening to the
- 11:17slippery slope.
