- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: Go sign up.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_00]: Trust me, you're going to get way too much.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: We have over 500 videos which is daunting, but man, you can just start with the preseason.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_00]: This last game, watch every single
- 3:21[SPEAKER_00]: And learn a lot while you're there.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we're going to hopefully learn a lot during this stream.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_01]: This is a big week for the Niners, not because of preseason game number three, and not because of Jet York's antics in Ohio.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_01]: It's really a big week because
- 3:41[SPEAKER_01]: This is where the roster gets finalized.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_01]: And you got the big, you got some battles tomorrow night, left guard, defensive end, lineback, or safety, wide receiver, back up offensive and defensive line.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of good competition and we're gonna discuss that tonight.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_01]: But also, on Sunday,
- 4:00[SPEAKER_01]: there's going to be and every all 32 NFL teams are going to pair the roster from 90 to 53.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_01]: So almost 1,200 or let's say 1184 players are going to hit the street.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it really does.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_01]: I was looking at a list today of players from around the league that they are projecting could get cut.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_01]: And just some of the interesting names that I saw.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_01]: These were the interesting names to me.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_01]: Buffalo, McColle Hardman, you know McColle Hardman, it seems like when he was in Kansas City, he was a very difficult guy for the 49ers to defend, especially when all the Andy Reed Gadget plays, and he's really a good Gadget play type receiver, Rochon Johnson, running back from Chicago.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_01]: Love Rochon.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I do too, from Texas.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_01]: I think I'd like to have Rochon Johnson.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_01]: I like him maybe more than I like sincere McCormick and Khalil Herbert.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_01]: A couple of defensive tackles, McKinley Jackson from A&M, Chris Jenkins, who played at Michigan.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_01]: They're supposed to be cut loose.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_01]: Why'd receiver said to him, but from Cleveland, defensive end Sam Williams from Dallas.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_01]: I think he makes a lot of sense for the 49ers.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_01]: Two to out well, always one of my favorite burners.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_01]: He's winning Miami's receiving corps.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_01]: They're saying he's going to be cut loose.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_01]: J. J. McCarthy.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: Tyrone Tracey, who is I think a very good receiving running back, if you're one of those teams like the Niners that love to throw it to their backs, can you ever have enough backs that can catch it and get up field and Tyrone Tracey can do it.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_01]: Steelers are going to cut Caleb Johnson, the former Iowa star, Broderick Jones, their tackle is going to get cut.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_01]: The 240 Niners of note that they had in this list were Christian Kirk and Nate Hobbs, who both are nursing
- 5:49[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so I don't know, I mean, who do you want to see, you know, I think the four netters badly need an edge russure, but there's also, you know, players that they may like or have earmarked, that they wanted in the draft that they didn't get in the draft.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe those guys get cut loose and maybe those guys are superior to somebody that you have on your roster, um, Shannon and made the point the other day, he's like, hey,
- 6:18[SPEAKER_01]: And Sunday when the, you know, the cuts come down, we're going to scour every team's waver wire.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_01]: And if we like a player more than the guy that we had that was in our camp or that we have on our roster, we're going to go for that player.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: And he made that perfect clear.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_01]: But you got, you know, guys, veterans on their street right now at defense of end, including a son, Retic, Kyle Van Noy, Leonard Floyd, Preston Smith.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of talk that Arizona's
- 6:46[SPEAKER_01]: Um, should the Niners throw a Curtis Rourke or Mac Jones to the Cardinals for a Josh Sweat?
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of interesting, you know, permeations to to what potentially this 53 man roster could look like and who could be available and, you know, I'm looking for certain guys, Dylan Bell from Minnesota.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_01]: I loved him in the draft from Georgia.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if he's going to make the team.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_01]: If he doesn't make the team, I'd want Dylan Bell.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's a really good gadget receiver who can do a lot of things.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's like a
- 7:21[SPEAKER_01]: I love Willie Lampkin from the Eagles, if he gets cut by Philly, man, hell yes, I would sign that guy immediately and I'd put him on the active roster.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_01]: So there's a couple people I'm looking for around the NFL, but what do you think at the cut down, is there a player that you're looking for?
- 7:38[SPEAKER_01]: Is there a guy that you're eyeballing on a different roster that, you know, that if he was there, you would say, hey, he is the guy they need to go after.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think there's three key positions of immediate need.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: Guard, safety, and edge, especially early until Michele comes back.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: And until Romelo Height figures out and is productive, there are a lot of assumptions that Romelo Height was going to be a guy that would be a key contributor in the past rush early on through two preseason games, zero pressures, like it hasn't even got a pressure yet.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: So it's kind of rough because the 49ers were counting
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: on that rookie impact.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, I'm looking at guard, I'm looking at safety and I'm looking at edge.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: And it's funny because, you know, Larry, you and I been doing this together for a few years now.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: And man, when draft is going on, some of my favorite episodes with you because you're so damn passionate about these late round undrafted free agent guys and what happens is these names that
- 8:40[SPEAKER_00]: We were so familiar with two, three years ago start to resurface because they have either hit expectations or they're just at a position of strength for an opposing team that may be a weakness for the 49ers.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_00]: And so those names resurface.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_00]: This is the exact process that the 49ers do.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_00]: And you always hear them say after free agency, right?
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: They'll do their post free agency press conference.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_00]: And John Lynch will always say, you know,
- 9:03[SPEAKER_00]: We were actually really high on player XYZ when they came out of the draft and we were mad.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: We couldn't get them.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's the same thing for you and I and your name's like Willie Lampkin and Bell and it's just like hell.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, let's get those guys because they may be available again.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I don't think that the approach that the 49ers will take is a valuable high price trade for one of those.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're going to be kind of scavengers because I think that the 49ers see, especially at edge.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: Guard a little bit different, safety a little bit different, but definitely edge the very pricey position.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think they like their base long term and the short term need.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that they're going to overpay and I don't think teams like to get rid of quality past pressures.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: So you're kind of, it's a catch 22, I don't think 49ers fans are going to be very happy.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think the 49ers coaching staff in personnel department is going to be extremely excited about the edge.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_00]: product that they put out there weeks one and week two.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be kind of a cross your fingers can we get through with this for the first couple weeks till McKell Williams comes back.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully that helps some remellos development happens that helps some but yet the three positions I'm looking at guard safety and of course edge.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: You got to get some help there.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk edge for a second because I think the Niners, you know, I've watched enough now to see what they got.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_01]: And I think they need a veteran edge russia.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_01]: They were 30 second and sacks last year.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_01]: They had 20.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_01]: And that number is a pathetic number.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_01]: It was six sacks fewer than the next worst team, which was the jets.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_01]: And that's a ton.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_01]: They were far in a way the biggest nightmare as far as rushing the pastor last year.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_01]: Now fast forward to this year.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_01]: Nick Bosa has not practiced in over three weeks.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_01]: Michele Williams, who has one career sack, by the way.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of talk that he's not going to be there week one.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_01]: Ramello Heights has looked at times athletic, but he's a 238-pound situational russia who can't play on the early downs.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_01]: Then you got Samo and I love Samo and he had some really nice plays against the Chargers last week, six and a half career sex in three years.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_01]: Then you got Key on White, he's also had some moments in the NFL, seven and a half career sex in three years.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_01]: And then they brought in four guys off the street, Viliami, Fahoko, Victor, Demicaigi, Agbo, Aronquo, and Quentin Bell.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just looking at this secondary where you've got 10 young dB's and they're all trying to build their confidence and you want to see that confidence, just go flush down the toilet, just keep just burn the edges with demarcaging and and bell and see how your dBs are playing a month later.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_01]: They need something real.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_01]: Do you, first of all, do you believe in any of those guys for Hoco, Dima Cage, Ocaronquo, who has 17 career sex or Quentin Bell?
- 12:08[SPEAKER_00]: Do you like any of those guys?
- 12:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't mind them, but there's not enough de-markation between those to say like they have to make the 53, and if you release them on the initial 53, if one or two of them get claimed,
- 12:23[SPEAKER_00]: you can throw whichever two are left on the practice squad and elevate one in case of emergency early.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_00]: So like again, you've got kind of more of the same.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_00]: And these guys are learning the system and they can step in if they want, you know, oak bow, oak romquos probably the most consistent and impactful, but somebody got off the street just a couple of weeks ago.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like there's a lot of people out there that are just like, oh, we've got to have oak romquos.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: We have to put them on our 53.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think so.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_00]: Even though I wouldn't be upset if they got 10 to 15 snaps week one, which I think one of them will, I don't think that they're going to make the initial 53 man roster.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_00]: And I could see the 49ers only rostering four defensive ends on the initial 53, then through some roster manipulation, definitely going to side somebody, a practice squad, elevate them week one.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_00]: But I think that this is a position because of the injuries, it because McKell Williams is going to stay on the pub.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: might only be for, and if Nick Boses not there, you're going into week one Australia against the Rams with probably the worst defensive end group in the NFL at all 32 teams.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_00]: If Bosa doesn't play, but I expect him to play.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: They said that they expect him to practice next week.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_00]: We'll
- 13:36[SPEAKER_00]: I expect him to play week one, you know, just off the top of my head, I'd probably say 85% chance both supplies, even if it is on a pitch count, but he's got, you know, close to two weeks to get ready to go and all that stuff.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_00]: So I think he'll be out there, even if it is just his past rush.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_00]: And if he is on a pitch count, both is out there on past rush down's only.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: which he's one of the better two way defensive ends run versus pass, but you need the pass rush from both some more than you need the run support.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_00]: You could have Samo and Keon wide out there as your ends to start against the run game.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_00]: That's fine.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_00]: Get both out there even if he's only playing 25 plays.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think that'd be huge.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_01]: They've got to find some defensive ends.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_01]: I would say check out Cincinnati.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_01]: I was looking at their depth chart.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_01]: This is what they have.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_01]: They have Miles Murphy, first round pick in 2023.
- 14:25[SPEAKER_01]: They have Boy A Muffet.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_01]: They have Cashis Hall.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_01]: They have Schmars Stewart, they have Cedric Johnson, it's pretty decent player.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_01]: They have Isaiah Foski, who's right from here, David Salle High School and Concord.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_01]: They have Antoine Powell, Ryland, who was a great edgerusher advisor.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_00]: Niners met with him, I think, six times before the draft.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_01]: So that's seven, that's seven NFL defense events.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I, I think, you know, I would, I would definitely make some, I mean, I'm sure they will.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_01]: They'll be scouring, they'll be scouring the waiver wires looking for guys cut, but they may also want to make a trade.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_01]: So let's, you know, I mean, that's just one team.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_00]: I have to look at the list and see exactly who's got what and how it shakes up.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_00]: I do have to say Aaron Wilson.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_00]: The 49ers did pick up Jay Joyner.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_00]: So job job job job job.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_00]: Job Joyner.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_00]: Job Joyner.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_00]: According to Aaron Wilson, so that that just came across the transaction wire literally like three minutes ago.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_01]: He's been on the cruise show.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_00]: There you go.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_01]: So John Joyner, John Joyner was on the crucial.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_01]: Him and Danny Strigal were the Edger usher duo for the Minnesota Golden Gofers.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_01]: And this guy's got tools.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_01]: He's got speed, he's got size, he's got strength, he's fast, he's a little stiff, but he's got a good motor.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_01]: And he's a really serious hardworking kid.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_01]: He's a really nice kid.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so I mean, I think he'll be, you know, he doesn't have elite bend or elite twitch, but he's got a great motor.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_01]: He's well coach.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_01]: He can play the run.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_01]: Um, he's a little twitchy.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he's not like he's not totally.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_01]: He's not like Brian Burns, but he's also not Viliami Fahoko.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, I love it more than that.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 16:16[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I'll be good to see him and he'll be motivated.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_01]: He's a four.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_01]: He went against, you know, he was with the Raiders for a while.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_01]: So, sure he'll be motivated.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, this is an opportunity a job interview for him to have a huge game.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of feel like whoever has the big game, you know, it's almost like a reality show.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_01]: Thursday night's like a reality show, Quentin Bell, Agboronquo, Victor Dimmocage, Villiamy, Fio, Fahoko, now John Joyner.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_01]: of those five street free agents, whoever has the big performance in that game is gonna make the team.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_01]: pretty confident saying that.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I do want to say, you know, just as you were talking out, I love that I pulled up my 2,000, 25 pre-drF right up on job joiner.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_00]: And I remember liking them a lot, 6, 4, 2, 60.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, the things I always start off my profile with like what stands out, length, twitch, and effort.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_00]: Crazy long arms.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_00]: He's more of a productive
- 17:17[SPEAKER_00]: Disruptor instead of a finisher he only had one sack and three quarter bat like he's not the guy that's going to get all the sacks, but is constantly playing on the correct end of the offensive line and sadly like you know I look at like the players that he reminded me of.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_00]: It was guys like Keyon White.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_00]: It was guys like Samo that are these kind of bull rush.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: They don't have that like crazy bend.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_00]: These hyper athletic long arm defense events that are three down defensive ends that just don't put up the high sack numbers.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_00]: So, and the Niners do this at the end of every training camp where they rotate the back end of the roster so that guys know the scheme and a break glass in case of emergency and injury or two happens.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_00]: You can pull these guys in off the street.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think Jojo and he's got to make the 53, but it will be fun to see him get out there and get some play in time, just shoot tomorrow.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, and you know, it's, you know, make the best man win, you know, he's got some ability for sure.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: All right, let's go through some of the roster questions coming into tomorrow night.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_01]: One of them, so Nick Wagner, who great respect for Nick, I think he does a really good job.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: He's very thorough, ESPN.com, his notes, columns at the end of practice will always have some note that I just alluded to me.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_01]: So I mean, this guy is just as far as I'm concerned, he's good.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_01]: He's good.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, he's getting, he's, I mean, in he'll spend an extra hour sitting there typing this whole thing out on the word processor and then firing away, you know, a 19 paragraph tweet that totally summarizes the entire practice in every way imaginable.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_01]: So he doesn't
- 19:10[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, it's interesting on a lot of fronts.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_01]: One, he only has the Niners going with two quarterbacks.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_01]: So, what do you think?
- 19:19[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he says that maybe they can do some roster juggling and get work to the injured reserve without using an extra roster spot.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_01]: But, is Curtis work going to go to the IR?
- 19:34[SPEAKER_01]: Is he going to be cut?
- 19:36[SPEAKER_01]: Is he going to make the Final 53?
- 19:39[SPEAKER_01]: Or is he going to be traded?
- 19:40[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's probably a market for him if you want to trade him.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_00]: The one thing I would be fairly certain on.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_00]: He's not getting cut.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_00]: Shining hand does this every single year where there's this one or two players that get this IR designation for the entirety of the year.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_00]: And like it's bit them in the rear end.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_00]: You remember with like DJ Reed, right?
- 19:59[SPEAKER_00]: It was injured.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_00]: He was gonna miss about half the season.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: Shining hand tried to sneak them through the IR rules.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_00]: Gets claimed by Seattle and he goes on and he's had an incredible career made a lot of money for several teams, but like that got him.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it did the same thing with, you know, Joanne Jennings, and it worked his rookie here, did the same thing with Goldman Givets and it worked.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_00]: So sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't, but Curtis work might be one of those guys.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_00]: It is Shanahan does do that.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be interesting.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_00]: So like there's going to be a couple players that have injury when you say do that.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_01]: You're saying subject him to waivers and cross your fingers.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_00]: So there's two routes you can go.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_00]: You can put them on IR, then do the waiver process.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_00]: Or you could just put them on season ending IR and guarantee his salary for the year, which I think is what they would do in this situation.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_00]: And so you just put them on season ending IR and you just basically say, hey, it's the gray shirt here, right?
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the red shirt here, last year, this would be his gray shirt here.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_00]: He's still in meetings, but he can't practice.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he's getting cut.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he's getting waived.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to be either here or traded.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_00]: I think now the way he'll be claimed he'll be claimed if he's waived.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, everybody loves Shenan quarterbacks.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_00]: Nick Mollon still out like, yeah, chocolate.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_01]: Well, and he's got size.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_01]: He's got stature.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he's a good kid.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_01]: Perti was a revelation.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_01]: Those factors alone probably me.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_01]: There's obviously a lack of top quarterbacks.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_01]: If you're the Raiders and you didn't pick him up, I think you'd be, I don't think that'd be smart.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, as opposed to the Raiders are going to cut Aiden O'Connell, but if you are in Roark is sitting there and you have Mendoza and Kirk Cousins, why wouldn't you grab him?
- 21:49[SPEAKER_00]: His tape was too good.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_00]: I was one preseason game, but it was his first game in over a year.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_00]: He goes out there and just operates the Shady Hand offense.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_00]: pretty damn well against starters mind you some starters were still out there in that game so yeah I think Curtis work is he's stick it around in the red and gold and less than I want to pay a pretty penny which I don't see coming up the Johnny freeze on us or my frozen in my end.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_01]: We're good.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_01]: We're good.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_01]: You're back.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: your frozen for just a second.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_01]: The other big question is, I think, you know, Nick Wagner's got seven wide receivers on the 53.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_01]: And he's got Evan Stribling, Debo, Demarcus Robinson, Watkins, that I agree with.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_01]: But then he has Christian Kirk and Jacob Cowling.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know, I mean, I, you know, Kirk, I could see being put on some kind of an injured list.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_01]: I'd be interested in some of the other receivers that may be out there.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, that's an interesting one.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think Kirk and I don't have Kirk and Cowwing making it, even though Cowwing, not making it.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_01]: I have, what do I have here?
- 23:15[SPEAKER_01]: Let me see.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going with six wide receivers, and my six wide receivers are Evan Stribbling, Debo, Robinson, Watkins.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_01]: And to me, if it comes down to Christian Kirk, if Christian Kirk's healthy, I could see him getting the job.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_01]: But if he's not healthy and he's on the injured list, and it comes down to cowing or special teamers or cowing or Pauling,
- 23:45[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of think they're going to go with Pauling.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_01]: Pauling is a little bit more dependable hands, a little bit tougher, a little stronger, a little bit more not dynamic as not as dynamic as cowling as a return guy, but definitely maybe a little bit more sure handed.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_01]: I think you could take a hit.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_01]: You can block.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_01]: I just think Pauling is probably, you know, he's not as dynamic as Cowling, but I could see them going with Pauling over Cowling.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_01]: I could also see them saying, hey, Brandt Boyer, who do you want?
- 24:14[SPEAKER_01]: And him saying, give me Cadaro Hodg, or give me a Malik Turner, you know, give me Trent Neuron, give me a special team guy.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_01]: Hodg was a pro bull, special teamer as a gunner a couple years ago.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 24:26[SPEAKER_01]: to do they go a five receivers and one receiver that's kind of more of a special team ace.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_00]: I would say, I was turning that punt he ain't clear in waivers should like that that's the first point.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, he won't clear.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think Cowards make it and my biggest thing.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_00]: I like I love Pauline and I thought he was awesome in the practice as I've been through, but when the lights came on in the preseason games, I think you may do one person miss maybe not good point returns not good kick returns.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_00]: He is tougher than, you know, walk in, cowing those guys like he's tough, but
- 25:01[SPEAKER_00]: I just didn't see enough for somebody who said, man, we really want to claim this guy.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_00]: He wouldn't draft it.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_00]: Coward was a fourth round pick, so that that carries some weight there.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_00]: So what's got to do with this?
- 25:11[SPEAKER_01]: Would your rather have, would your rather have cowing, or if you could pick him off waivers, would your rather have two to outwell?
- 25:17[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I don't know.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_00]: Really?
- 25:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it was a burner.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_00]: And it definitely more durable.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how it is.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_01]: To me, cowing is one hit away from a fumble.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_01]: He's one hit away from being I'm being hurt.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_01]: You know, yes, he's healthy right the second, but I don't see that continuing.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_01]: If I could have two to out, well, I would take him.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_01]: I think I like to do that.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I like what he how much I think to do that well is a scarier cover for a corner than Jacob Cowling he had some of his best games against the 49ers.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_00]: That's for damn sure.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, everyone.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_01]: He lit up moody ward for that 50 yard grab.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so that one the other kind of thing was kind of interesting is Wagner's got the Niners going with nine offensive linemen and he has Brett Tooth making the roster.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_01]: I think Brett Toath is maybe the worst offensive lineman I've seen all summer.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he just gets destroyed in one on one's.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_01]: And you have Carver Willis, the future center.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_01]: You have Drake, Newgeon, who's looked really good.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_01]: You have this kid, Kramer, who's was in Illinois for, you know, and he's been with bears.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_01]: I think he looks pretty good.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_01]: To me, you've got options at center.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_01]: I would be shocked.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_01]: Totally shocked.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_01]: If Brett Tooth makes the roster, I can't see that happening.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_00]: It hasn't played a lot either in the preseason.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_00]: Like that, that's difficult, but like you've got to have a center guard combo.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if Drake Newton could play guard snaps, even if you wanted them to.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_00]: He has played very well at center though.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's so like there's a couple guys.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_00]: Brett tough like hasn't played much Robert Jones hasn't played much when he's played he's terrible as well awesome pleasant has played well but now he's how bad is that injury and that's going to factor into it because yeah he played some guard didn't look good at guard but he was there for two days like give him a little bit of a break but he has some versatility as well
- 27:16[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, because they always, every time they talk about this position, the interior, you want the center guard combo and they get just bonus points whenever it comes to these roster, you know, cut downs.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_00]: I like Drake, newgent, too, but if you keep Drake, newgent, you have to keep two more guards.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_00]: The numbers are just, ah, they want it to be Bret Tauts.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_00]: And you look at that contract, like they paid him to be there.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_00]: And then Vaderi and Lo is he got to be our designated return.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_00]: That complicates things even further.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_00]: The online is just a mess, Larry.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like you've got your four after that, like it's just.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's a mess.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_00]: I don't have Robert Jones making the roster.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_00]: I.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think of this is a wild idea.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_01]: A wild idea.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_01]: So let's go.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_01]: Wild idea.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_01]: The Niners are thinking big.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_01]: And they need a left guard.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_01]: And the guy, the team they always seem like they deal with is Indianapolis.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_01]: And Indianapolis doesn't appear to be going anywhere.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think of trading a day to pick and some combination of Curtis Rock, Alfred Collins, maybe a Ronaldo Green, maybe somebody else, maybe a receiver, maybe a Jacob Cowling.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think of a second round pit, Curtis Rock, Jacob Cowling, and something else, Alfred Collins, CJ West, something like that, to the Colts for Quentin Nelson.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_00]: I knew where you're going.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_01]: As soon as you said left guard, I was just like, I mean, if the Rams went after Miles Garrett Y, they had a good player in Jared,
- 29:09[SPEAKER_01]: If the 49ers are going to match the Rams as far as a difference maker, I would love to see what the 49ers chances would be if they could actually run the ball, pass protect for Perti.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we have not seen Brock Perti behind that fortress.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_01]: They got a great left tackle.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_01]: They got a great right tackle.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think Tom Poonie's a decent right guard.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Brenda, or whatever, but you know what, the left guard is a black hole, and the other day I was in that practice and Carver Willis got beat like a drum on back to back CJ West beat him, Bryce and Ace and beat him, and they beat this guy badly, and I'm thinking of myself, God, if he loses this bad in a game, Brock Party could be out for the year.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_01]: And what do you think of loading up a big trade with the cults and give them some good assets but get Quentin Nelson back?
- 30:07[SPEAKER_00]: I would love, yeah, I'm a Alfred Collins guy.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm projecting what he can to come to it.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_00]: I would give up
- 30:15[SPEAKER_00]: I would give up what's a fair trade and a fourth for quit nursing.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_00]: It's a last year of his deal.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_00]: You take on 18.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_00]: I just pulled this contract up as you were talking.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_00]: You take on $18 million this year.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's inspiring contract.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Afrikaans in a fourth.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_00]: I like I would do that now.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_00]: With the cults do that, he's beloved in that city.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_00]: I've been to a game in Indianapolis and there are quit Nelson jerseys.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no today.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, he's there guy.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_00]: So why would they do that?
- 30:45[SPEAKER_00]: Um, what they have the worst general manager, I think in the NFL in my opinion, uh, I like Ballard as a nice guy, but I think he's horrible.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_00]: He's been here as long as John Lynch and Jenny and no playoff wins, no division titles.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_00]: Um, not a good general.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_01]: In fairness, he had Andrew Luck and Andrew Luck retired.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_01]: But come on man.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_01]: He had I mean a part I mean he I mean I think Chris ballards actually a decent GM I just think that he's had some terrible break two first for sauce gardener at this point in his career with that Yeah, I mean it's it's pretty that it's pretty desperate pretty desperate, but I mean look at the trade he made for Buckner That was a win for them.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_01]: It was it was you know, I mean nobody if I didn't know Andrew luck was gonna retire
- 31:28[SPEAKER_01]: Then he went for Daniel Jones.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_01]: Daniel Jones, I think was one of the great stories of the NFL last year until he got hurt.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know, I'm more of a baller guy than you.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_01]: I think baller is really pretty sharp.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, and I don't, I just think that their time is not now.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's not now.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_01]: It's coming, but it's not now.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_01]: And could you load up with some big, you know,
- 31:58[SPEAKER_01]: because he would cause, but I do it.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, definitely.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_01]: It would be, it would be a massive move.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_01]: But it would be an incredible move.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_01]: What about, what about defensive line?
- 32:09[SPEAKER_01]: To me, one of the stories that we don't talk much about, John, is that Bryson Eason, James Thompson, Jr., and Grayson Haltten, have looked better.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_01]: then Alfred Collins and CJ West.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, you can, if you see it one day, you're like, yeah, maybe it's just hot day.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_01]: But you know what, then you see it every day and you're like, no, no.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_01]: Those guys are, you know, West and Collins are good players, good prospects, but they don't have much past rush and they don't seem like they've gotten a whole lot better and Eastern and James Thompson are just coming on.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_01]: And Osa is a monster inside.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, I could just, you know, Raheem inherited those guys, but I like price in Easton.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_01]: Wagner doesn't even have price in Easton on the team.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_01]: He's got him cut.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_01]: I can't believe they were cut that, cut that guy.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_00]: he's the most consistent defensive tackle, not namedosa on this roster and it's not close.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_00]: I fit, you know, again, we go through every single all 22 and inzone tape, everything.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_00]: He had I counted one negative play.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_00]: One play that was not a positive for Bryson East and like,
- 33:22[SPEAKER_00]: James Thompson, Jr., he's the past rush prowess, his ceiling is higher than, you know, Bryson Eason is, but consistency, what you always hear, where he Morris, you always hear Kyle Sheney and talk about Bryson Eason is his consistent as it gets.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_00]: Like he has been, he's not the playmaker.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_00]: But he's helping those linebackers help in the edge.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_00]: He's helping everybody out consistently.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I cannot see a way in which James Thompson Jr. and Bryce needs to do not make this roster.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_00]: I cannot see, I don't understand that.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_00]: But the numbers are tough because can you keep six?
- 33:58[SPEAKER_00]: I would keep four D ends and I'd keep six defensive tackles.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I would do personally.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_01]: 40 and 60 fence of tackles, you know, five and five would be ideal, but I hear what you're saying.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_01]: Let's move to linebacker.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_01]: You know, this is another one of these things.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you know, I once again, I'm a big Wagner fan.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_01]: I think next really good.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_01]: But I think there's a lot of 49er media people that they read the notes.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_01]: more than they watched the players or they agreed they know who should be on the team and they put them on the team over guys that deserve to be on the team like they should like on paper
- 34:41[SPEAKER_01]: Luke Gifford as a Pro Bowl special team or should be on the team.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_01]: On paper, Garrett Wallow, who had 11 tackles in the playoff game last year, should be on the team.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_01]: But when you're watching practice every day, Gifford hasn't played all summer.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_01]: I saw him running on the sidelines yesterday, he's got a, he's got a hamstring.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_01]: He said to Dustin Perry, it's grabbing on me.
- 35:03[SPEAKER_01]: I saw him whisper that to Perry.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, he's correct.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_01]: It's grabbing on me.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_01]: So his it's like he's ready.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_01]: Gifford's not ready to play.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_01]: And while those dinged, now you got Nick Martin with the hamstring.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_01]: He's dinged.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know how serious that is.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_01]: But Wagner's got seven linebackers, which is one more than I thought most people would have.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_01]: You know, some years they go with five.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_01]: and he's got him with seven.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_01]: Warner Greenlaw, Dugger, Bethune, Luke Gifford, Nick Martin, Garrett Wallow.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's got this line back in crew, totally messed up, completely messed up.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_01]: I would, my line back in crew would be Fred Warner, Dre Greenlaw,
- 35:45[SPEAKER_01]: Jaden Dugger, Taden Bethune, Dion Jones, and Larry worth the third, because I think Martin is his hurt and probably going to have to go on a list, and I would cut the special teams line backers because Larry worth the third is dominating.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_01]: Now, I don't know that anybody, I don't know why nobody else can see that.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_01]: This guy is absolutely locking up the tight end.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_01]: Look at the tight ends that reside in this division.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_01]: You got to make bright and air asona.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_01]: He's as good as there is.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_01]: You look at, you know, the other teams that are potentially going to be in the Super Bowl race, chiefs have Kelsey lions have Laporta bears have coast and lovelin, you know, the sea hocks have barner and a rollo and a rollo score to touchdown then that he looks really good the ramps of the room of like five different tight ends they're all damn good.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_01]: You've got to be able to cover the tight end.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_01]: They have a guy in Larry worth the third who is locking up tight ends in a way that is so unbelievable and nobody's talking about it.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody's mentioning it and he's and it's like like he's just up.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_01]: No, he's cut.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_01]: Really, you're going to go with Garrett Wallow.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_01]: There's a million Garrett Wallows on the street.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_01]: Over, you know, I mean, I just cannot go special teams.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_01]: You play from Scrimmage, special teams is great, but it's the third of the three elements of the game.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm not taking two special teams linebackers when I've got older Warner, older Green Law, and Nick, I mean, Nick Scott, older Warner, older Green Law,
- 37:28[SPEAKER_01]: And then he's got Gifford and Wallo and Martin and they're all injured and then he's got Tate and Bethune and Jayden Dugger I think Dion Jones is absolutely going to make this team really.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, absolutely he's going to make this team He's here, man.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_01]: He's here.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_01]: This is a guy that that Reem handpicked and he looked good in practice and this guy is a great athlete.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_01]: He's not 38 years old.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_01]: He's 31
- 37:55[SPEAKER_01]: This guy's a former pro bull or he's had five seasons in the NFL with a hundred plus tackles.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_01]: He played every single game last year.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, man.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_01]: I think Dion Jones is going to make the team.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_01]: So I'd have Warner, Greenlaw, Dugger, Bethune, Dion Jones.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm going, I'm putting Nick Martin on an injured list.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_01]: I'm I'm I'm putting gift for it on the injured list.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'll cut
- 38:20[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm going with Larry Worth, man.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_01]: Larry Worth is special, special.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_01]: And I can see it, I know they can see it.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_01]: The question is, is the league see it?
- 38:33[SPEAKER_01]: Can he slide them through waivers and get them to the practice squad?
- 38:36[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think so.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_01]: And now maybe they can because he hasn't played a whole lot.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_01]: But to this guy is really, really intriguing, really intriguing.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_01]: Why, how's this guy on the ship with the Nicky man?
- 38:52[SPEAKER_01]: We're this guy, this guy has the same jumping testing numbers as sunny freaking styles.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_01]: He went in the top 10.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_01]: This guy went undrafted and he is making plays and he is smothering the tight end and a in a division that is this many tight ends.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_01]: They can play.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_01]: I want a super long athletic linebacker who can smother the tight end.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_01]: No way.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_01]: I'm cutting him.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_01]: No way.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_01]: No way.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_00]: I think
- 39:19[SPEAKER_00]: Larry worked looks the part and the traits are what it kind of confounds me because not only was Larry worth the third not drafted, he wasn't even a priority free agent, nobody offered a deal.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_00]: So he comes to the 49ers on a rookie tryout passes the I test immediately.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_00]: They sign them to the 91.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_00]: stays on there and keeps getting elevated now he hasn't played much play 13 plays the first preseason game played 18 the second they said they want to give them an extra look so will play more in the third preseason game hopefully but the the question or the answer for why he would be cut if we just play that like okay why would he be cut because nobody wanted them to pass over from the draft and priority free agent maybe nobody wants them but then you look
- 40:07[SPEAKER_00]: His traits are bananas.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_00]: Him and Ephesians, price, stock, stand, and next to each other, they're like frickin' transformers.
- 40:13[SPEAKER_00]: Like the length, the size, the muscle development, the speed, the coverage.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_00]: Those are things that today's NFL, you need.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_00]: Now, the other side of this argument is, I don't see a way where Gifford and Wallo both get cut or put on lists.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_00]: I think that Brant Boyer definitely wants one of those guys.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_00]: We know he loves both of them.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_00]: would get a wallet in the playoffs cannot be forgotten.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_00]: You do not win that game in filly without get a wallet and he is a stud special teamer that can play not one not two but all three linebacker spots.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know, I think it's easier to get Larry worth buy on waivers, but I don't like that either in the injuries make it hard because Nick Martin
- 41:01[SPEAKER_00]: you got to have guys that can play now.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_01]: You have to.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_01]: What's your feeling on Nick?
- 41:05[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we didn't write and he's IR designated to return.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_00]: You see him grabbing the back of that hand string.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_00]: So like it looks like somebody shot him in the back of the leg and they grab it.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_00]: It can be it like he had to it because it happened on the opponent's sideline late in the fourth.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_00]: He had to water
- 41:22[SPEAKER_00]: all the way back to his sideline and it did not look good.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not grabbing as, you know, you referred to it early.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_00]: I used coach track.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's like you'd always ask the guys like explain what happened and when they grab it like that and that pop, I don't know, I did hear it, but that's usually what that is where they start grabbing it and they can't extend it.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_00]: that is not a mild hamstring.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_00]: I'm nowhere near a doctor, Larry, as we all know.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_00]: But by track and football background coaching, when you see that, then that's a month minimal.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_00]: And if that's the case, I are designated to return.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_00]: I will say Nick Martin's tape continues to climb.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_00]: The explosive, the ceiling is there.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_00]: You can't call it.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_00]: You can't do that.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_00]: either I are for the whole year or I are designated to return, maybe somebody else gets that tag, but Martin's going to be around.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_00]: And so I trust Garrett Walomore now.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_00]: Then I do Larry worth.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_00]: I trust Garrett Walomore special teams.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_00]: Then I do Larry worth long term.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_00]: It is not a debate.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_00]: Larry worth the third has something that is special.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_00]: can that be uncorrect, I sure as hell, hope so.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_00]: And if he does make the roster, here's my last point in Larry work.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_00]: If he does make the roster think of the message that sends to the whole damn team, the meritocracy.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_00]: This dude is a walk on rookie try out player that is making it over pro bowl special teamers.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_00]: That's how much we love this kid.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, man, I would be sight.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_00]: And I went into here, okay, I said last point.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_00]: If Larryworth makes the roster, the initial 53, I wouldn't be shocked if they love him so much that he makes the 53 and then they wave him to claim somebody else at guard or whatever else elsewhere and then try to pass them through waivers that way.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_00]: Make it even harder for a team to claim him.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_00]: I really want Larryworth around, man.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_00]: I really, really do.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_01]: Don't read, you know, I used to have a scouting mentor who said, Krueg, when we send you to a stadium to look at players, do not fall in love with the program.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_01]: Know who the players are, know where they're gonna be, know where you can watch them, but don't fall in love with these guys based on what it says in the program.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_01]: In other words, let your eyes tell your brain what you see.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_01]: Don't have your brain, have all these preconceived notions, and then are you really seeing it?
- 43:53[SPEAKER_01]: Or are you just seeing what you think you should be seeing?
- 43:57[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 43:57[SPEAKER_01]: It's like truly be independent.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_01]: And I took that approach with worth, and with the Niners, basically.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_01]: And I think we did this, I don't know if it was you and I, but I definitely did a bold predictions
- 44:09[SPEAKER_01]: It was one of my favorites and I had two bold predictions.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_01]: My two bold predictions is that James Thompson Jr. what some point would run with the ones.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_01]: He ran with the ones this week.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_01]: He shared time without for columns.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_01]: And the second bold prediction is that Larry Worth is a really special football player.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_01]: And I just see really special.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_01]: I see a guy who doesn't have a lot of lineback or experience, but next year,
- 44:37[SPEAKER_01]: 230 pounds still super fast and long, but he's now going to know the defense and I think he's going to be a force.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_01]: I would not cut this guy.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_01]: To me, you cut this guy and you're going to see him.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_01]: Monty Austin forks going to pick him up, put him on their active roster.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_01]: The Cardinals hawk the Niners cuts like nobody's business.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_01]: Anybody who can play on the Niners always winds up getting snagged by the Cardinals.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't give this kid as that special and I've talked to
- 45:07[SPEAKER_01]: He's serious.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_01]: He's more, you know, can translate speed the power.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_01]: He's really good.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_01]: He's really good.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_01]: I'm convinced.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_01]: I'd be shocked if this kid is not turned out to be a really good.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_01]: What he is is a specialty 20, 26 chess piece that the Rahim moroses of the world know how to utilize.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_01]: And I think this guy can be a very special player for the 49er.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_01]: So I would not let him go.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_01]: All right, let's do this.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_01]: Let's make sure
- 45:37[SPEAKER_01]: We'll put Johnny and I in the corner for a second and we will call this up.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to work on sacks today.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to go with sacks and that's S.A.C.K.S.Jead.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_01]: Over under 140.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_01]: there we go.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_01]: All right, so we've got that.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_01]: Now we've got to move our beautiful media stuff around here so we can make sure it looks all right.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_01]: Where is it?
- 46:04[SPEAKER_01]: Where is it?
- 46:06[SPEAKER_01]: There it is.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so we have the right there we go.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_01]: Now, now we got it cooking.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_01]: All right, and we should tell everybody that the crew shows presented by price picks America's number one sports picks app, price picks super simple.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_01]: You just make more or less on player stats, game outcomes and build your lineup.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's available in most states, including California, price picks is a brand new offer.
- 46:25[SPEAKER_01]: Sign up with code HMA, play your $5 line up and get 150 bucks in bonus lineups.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_01]: If it's a winner, that's code HMA, play five bucks, get 150 in bonus lineups.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_01]: All right, we are going to go with sex over under on sex.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_01]: You got Max Cross, but you got Miles Garrett, you got David Bailey, you got Aiden Hutchinson, Nick Bonito, Ruben Bane, anybody you want to go with here?
- 46:47[SPEAKER_01]: I like the Ruben Bane one a lot.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_01]: I think Ruben Baines can have like eight nine socks for sure and all he needs a six and a half to go over to go over to work.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_00]: That's a good number.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_00]: He had a AC joint spring yesterday, but they think he's going to be ready week one easily.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_00]: I'll make a needle 11.7 more or less.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_00]: Why is that so low?
- 47:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's a low number.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_01]: I like more on Benito.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_01]: I like the Jets, believe it or not.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_01]: I think the Jets are kind of, I don't know if you saw this today, but or the other day, Bill Barnwell.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a big Bill Barnwell fan from ESPN.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's a really sharp guy.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_01]: And he had five teams in the NFL that he thinks are gonna improve and five teams in the NFL he thinks are gonna decline.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_01]: His five improved teams are Baltimore, Kansas City, the Giants, the Jets, and Detroit.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_01]: And the five teams that he thinks are going to decline are the Bears, the Panthers, the Broncos, the Jaguars, and the Patriots.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_01]: And I kind of agree with him on the jets, I really kind of like what I've seen from the jets personnel looking at their depth chart.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_01]: I caught them in the previous season once, they get guys flying around.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of like the jets.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of like the lions.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_01]: I think people are kind of sleeping on the lions.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_01]: So those are the ones that kind of stand out to me.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_01]: But one guy that I think for the jets, it's kind of a big year, is Wilmic Donald.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_01]: And all he needs is seven and a half sacks.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_01]: So I like Wilmic
- 48:19[SPEAKER_01]: We went more on all three.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_01]: I like it, but the numbers are low.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_00]: That's the thing.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you see any down here that you like on the db's and linebackers.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like the off ball linebacker.
- 48:35[SPEAKER_01]: What about Josh sweat can Josh sweat get nine sex.
- 48:38[SPEAKER_00]: That's kind of like, that's kind of high for him.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think he can, but like, his ceiling is like 10 to 11, sacks, whereas some of these guys that can lead the NFL and sacks, like lay out to law two, that's low seven, like I'm paying attention to where the numbers are.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what I like to say.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_01]: Like verse seven and a half sacks goes over for verse.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's going to try to justify the fact that, you know, hey man, yeah, you traded for a great player.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_01]: I'm pretty damn freaking great.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_01]: um low number there.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_01]: That's a low number.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_01]: Any of these others, um, I'm not seeing a lot of somewhere.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just like, oh, I'll tell you this.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_01]: I like less right here on Chris Jones.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Chris Jones is time to he's going to miss time and also he's not getting eight and a half sacks.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_01]: He's not.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_01]: So that let's go with this.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_01]: Let's see.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_01]: We got enough here.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we won't put 20 on it.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'll put, we'll put five on it.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_01]: There we go.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_01]: And we'll submit our lineup.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_01]: bingo bingo takes just a second and then we will view that line up and this is what we got we got a five-pick power play five dollars pays us fifty rubin baines got to have at least six and a half-saxx beneath it's got to have twelve we'll McDonald's got to have seven and a half-saxx versus got to have seven and a half-saxx and Chris Jones is got to have eight sacks or less if all these things happen we go five for five or five bucks becomes fifty
- 50:02[SPEAKER_01]: courtesy of prize picks.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_01]: So thank you to prize picks for being a proud sponsor of the crew show and move John and I back into the mix there and we're back baby.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_01]: We're back.
- 50:12[SPEAKER_01]: We're back.
- 50:12[SPEAKER_01]: We're back.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_01]: It was a rough go there for a while, but we're back.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_01]: A couple other mentions before we finish with a strong couple topics here before we get out of here.

- 52:25[SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_01]: Go see Adam Rogers or Miguel Lopez visit the website in a Vado Chevrolet.com.

- 52:33[SPEAKER_01]: But thank you to Nevada Chevrolet.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_01]: Let's hit a couple more topics before we get out of here.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_01]: It is August 26th.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_01]: Why do I bring you the date?
- 52:44[SPEAKER_01]: Because the Niners play the Rams on September 10th.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_01]: The Niners will be leaving for Australia Wednesday like next Wednesday.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_01]: So this thing's on and there's been so much talk about Aaron Donald's coming back.
- 53:01[SPEAKER_01]: Aaron Donald's coming back.
- 53:02[SPEAKER_01]: Aaron Donald's coming back.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_01]: But he's not coming back.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_01]: He hasn't he's not back.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_01]: He's tried out a couple times.
- 53:11[SPEAKER_01]: Some people say the delay is because they owe him 32 million
- 53:19[SPEAKER_01]: But, John, you and I have been watching football for decades.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_01]: We can count on one hand.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_01]: How many guys sat at two plus years in the NFL and came back?
- 53:31[SPEAKER_01]: I just really think if the guy was really serious about coming back, wouldn't he have come back?
- 53:39[SPEAKER_01]: Wouldn't he have been in camp with the Rams?
- 53:42[SPEAKER_01]: So you're telling me you're gonna take two years off of football and come back.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_01]: You're not just gonna do that.
- 53:46[SPEAKER_01]: You're gonna take two years off of football and then skip training camp.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_01]: And you're just going to walk out there and in Melbourne on the 10th and just beyond Aaron Donald and here we go, I don't buy that for a second, man.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's not coming back.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_01]: I think I think everybody just thought it was a foregone conclusion.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_01]: I'm kind of wondering, wouldn't he be practicing right now?
- 54:08[SPEAKER_01]: Wouldn't he be back?
- 54:10[SPEAKER_01]: Wouldn't they have gotten this done?
- 54:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's August 26th or two weeks away from the game.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_01]: This guy hasn't played football in two years.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_01]: You're telling me he doesn't need.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_01]: Anything he can just I'm Aaron Donald shopping at you know best buy and Southern California and all of a sudden I'm playing the Niners.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_01]: I mean he's a bad he's a bad man when he played, but two years a long time man I can't think of Joe Montana was out for two years.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_01]: He's a quarterback.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_01]: There aren't too many guys It's a really really short list how many guys have been out for two full years and came back.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_01]: Do you are you convinced Ricky will you that?
- 54:49[SPEAKER_01]: Was it was he out for two years?
- 54:50[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even know if that's true, but are you convinced that Aaron Donald is going to be in Melbourne against the Niners on the 10th?
- 54:57[SPEAKER_00]: No, I don't think so.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_00]: And for like you mentioned, but he put out there that if he can't come back and play at the exact same level than he don't want to come back.
- 55:05[SPEAKER_00]: Like you are a first ballot hall of Famer in the conversation for best ever due to the interior defense of Lyme when you look at the accolades and awards.
- 55:15[SPEAKER_00]: He's achieved all of his goals so like that that's the thing now a lot of players that are like this They'll wait till a playoff run and come back.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_00]: You see like wrong and whatever else, but I'm just not seeing if it has it happened yet And I hope it doesn't happen.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want him to come back as I know most nine your fans don't sure Great, he was tribute, but yeah, I don't think it's gonna happen.
- 55:39[SPEAKER_00]: I hope it doesn't
- 55:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's a weird thing.
- 55:43[SPEAKER_01]: And the more we get closer to this, it's like, it was like a sum to that he's back and people have talked about it.
- 55:49[SPEAKER_01]: But now we're actually inside of the window where he would be practicing and he's not practicing.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_01]: And you're telling me he doesn't need the practice.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's perplexing.
- 56:02[SPEAKER_01]: Now that is perplexing.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, that's one thing that I thought was kind of interesting.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_01]: Give me the one guy if you could sit in the in Vegas in the stadium tomorrow night and watch on the binoculars one guy you want to keep your eye on tomorrow night.
- 56:21[SPEAKER_01]: Who is that guy?
- 56:25[SPEAKER_00]: James Thompson Jr. Like I'm convinced this guy is going to be and I know he's your guy.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not trying to, you know, step into the Larry crew of my guy.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_00]: But like you do you you pinpointed him from early on and if you look at the lack of past rush, which I think a lot of the 49ers fans have a right to be like, man, this is a major major issue.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_00]: This is one of the guys that is the solution.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, OSA, but he's not going to be playing tomorrow.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, I'm watching guys like James Thompson Jr. Larry work can Jaden Dugger continue to grow into that kind of role.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_00]: There's just a lot of guys the left guard battle for sure, but yeah James Thompson Jr. JTJ
- 57:09[SPEAKER_00]: He offers something that this 49ers roster just doesn't have a lot of and the upside is just huge and I just wanted to kind of see meant that role of like, all right, this guy is staying here, no doubt, let's finish it, he's in he's a lot, that's what I wanted to be.
- 57:26[SPEAKER_00]: There's just so much competition, so much youth at that position that I think, you know, Bryson Easton has an argument, Sebastian Valdez has an argument, the guys that were ahead of them in the depth chart, they have an argument as well,
- 57:36[SPEAKER_00]: I want him to solidify this, put the nail in the coffin, guarantee 53 man, James stops the junior, write it in Sharpie, he's going to be around for a while.
- 57:45[SPEAKER_01]: It's good.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_01]: Good name.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to give you two names.
- 57:47[SPEAKER_01]: They were both picked up this week.
- 57:49[SPEAKER_01]: Khalil Jenkins.
- 57:51[SPEAKER_01]: I want to see what Khalil Jenkins has as a receiver as a blocker.
- 57:56[SPEAKER_01]: I want to see what he's got.
- 57:59[SPEAKER_01]: Real eager to see.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_01]: And then, you know what, I loved Fahoko in the draft.
- 58:05[SPEAKER_01]: Now he doesn't have bend or burst or twitch.
- 58:09[SPEAKER_01]: But we're talking about a guy, and you know me, I like great college football players.
- 58:14[SPEAKER_01]: I don't care if they're not the right height, they're not the right this, they're not the right that.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_01]: Because it's hard to find great players who can play the game.
- 58:25[SPEAKER_01]: I'll take great players that don't have the measurable, don't have this or that.
- 58:28[SPEAKER_01]: That's this guy.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_01]: This guy was the Mountain West defensive player of the year, which means he was the best defensive player in the conference.
- 58:36[SPEAKER_01]: And he has got moves, he's got size, and he's got passion, he's got really strong hands, and I saw him look good in the one on one.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't have a lot of dip and bend and burst and special athletic traits, but man, the Niners have an incredible need.
- 58:55[SPEAKER_01]: for anybody who can dial up some heat off the edge and I think Ocaronquo can help them, but they need to find or invent or trade for somebody else.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_01]: So I've got hope that the Hoco could just have, you know, he's now went to San Jose State's plan for the Niners, you know, he's cousins with Vita Vaya, he went to St. Francis in Mountain View.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_01]: This, come on, the kid went to St. Francis.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_01]: He went
- 59:19[SPEAKER_01]: literally grew up in the Niners backyard.
- 59:21[SPEAKER_01]: I got to think that he's going to be emotional and passionate about putting on that 49er uniform for the first time.
- 59:27[SPEAKER_01]: What if it all clicks?
- 59:29[SPEAKER_01]: And this guy who's 6364, 270 pounds, what if this guy just on his, you know, bag full of tricks and crazy ass motor, just all of a sudden,
- 59:42[SPEAKER_01]: is a productive player.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm hoping because they got to find somebody.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_01]: They literally have to invent somebody or find somebody.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_01]: That's the bad news.
- 59:50[SPEAKER_01]: The good news is this happens all the time in the NFL.
- 59:52[SPEAKER_01]: Guys come out of nowhere and find a perfect scheme fit, a perfect, you know, venue and they take off.
- 59:58[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm looking for Velami Fahoko on defense, Khalil Dinkens.
- 1:00:04[SPEAKER_01]: on offense.
- 1:00:05[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't also mind seeing Jordan James having a great night.
- 1:00:09[SPEAKER_01]: I think that would be fantastic as well.
- 1:00:11[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 1:00:11[SPEAKER_01]: Let's finish with that.
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think we're going to play.
- 1:00:13[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they're going to be up Jordan.
- 1:00:15[SPEAKER_00]: I don't.
- 1:00:15[SPEAKER_00]: But I do have to say a plus on the name freaking pronunciation as a text in.
- 1:00:20[SPEAKER_00]: I can't do that at all.
- 1:00:21[SPEAKER_00]: So like here.
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_00]: And you freaking massive.
- 1:00:24[SPEAKER_01]: That was freaking on me for Hoco.
- 1:00:26[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, dude, I'll tell you, man.
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_00]: Here I'll do it.
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_00]: The old teacher in me going through role calls on the first week, Sweat and Bullets.
- 1:00:33[SPEAKER_00]: A-A-Ron.
- 1:00:35[UNKNOWN]: Ha ha ha.
- 1:00:37[SPEAKER_01]: I love me some key and peel.
- 1:00:40[SPEAKER_01]: Block-A, block-A, de-nice, de-nice, it's de-nice.
- 1:00:46[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 1:00:48[SPEAKER_00]: My favorite real quick I have to do this.
- 1:00:50[SPEAKER_00]: My favorite student not my favorite student but my favorite name ever was Absida.
- 1:00:55[SPEAKER_00]: Her first name was ABCDE and it was pronounced Absida like so freaking awesome awesome person too so like shout out to my girl.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think she's watching but if she is what's up Absida.
- 1:01:07[SPEAKER_01]: My favorite key in Peel is when they're doing the intros with, uh, and, and it's Jackson Flacks and Wax and Jackson or whatever.
- 1:01:14[SPEAKER_01]: It's like awesome.
- 1:01:15[SPEAKER_01]: Just awesome.
- 1:01:16[SPEAKER_01]: I just, I just are cracking up.
- 1:01:18[SPEAKER_01]: It's just, it's the funniest thing.
- 1:01:20[SPEAKER_01]: All right, last one.
- 1:01:21[SPEAKER_01]: We'll finish with the, the, the, the
- 1:01:32[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the latest is that Roger Gadell's at the NFL's looking into whether Jed will be punished for violating the league's personal conduct policy after he was caught in a prostitution staying in Ohio.
- 1:01:43[SPEAKER_01]: Gadell said Wednesday at the owner's meetings in Atlanta and Jed did not go instead Alguido went in his place.
- 1:01:51[SPEAKER_01]: He said it's being reviewed under the personal conduct policy.
- 1:01:53[SPEAKER_01]: We'll do that and then there's something to be reported when there's something to be reported
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_01]: We saw the video today, so amazing.
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_01]: We didn't get the video of the Shanan thing, but we got the video of this.
- 1:02:07[SPEAKER_01]: Something tells me we're never getting the video of the Shanan thing, but we got video of this and it was even worse than I thought.
- 1:02:14[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's just, he's sadder than I thought, he looked worse than I thought.
- 1:02:18[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he got, I mean, it's like, here's a guy that doesn't have a lot of experience being pulled over, they literally said nothing to him and he's already getting out of the car.
- 1:02:27[SPEAKER_01]: And then he's literally, they're putting him in cuffs and he's like, what's this about?
- 1:02:32[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's like high CP board demand supervisors and stall these guys out forever.
- 1:02:38[SPEAKER_01]: Jed almost was getting in the back of the car and like, you know, I mean, it was really weird to see somebody comply that much.
- 1:02:45[SPEAKER_01]: But it's also, and so it's such a dark.
- 1:02:49[SPEAKER_01]: moment for the Niners for Jed, it's just destroyed his person, his whole public persona, you'll never be seen the same way again.
- 1:02:59[SPEAKER_01]: You saw the video, too.
- 1:03:01[SPEAKER_01]: Did you just have a thought on, on Jed, you know, I don't want to belabor this too long.
- 1:03:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's like, you know, I don't like doing the kind of radio and someone steps and shit and then you just sit there
- 1:03:18[SPEAKER_00]: It sucks.
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_00]: It watched the video definitely brought sub like, oh, dude, this rough man.
- 1:03:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's just rough.
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_00]: And it's a the divorce and all this stuff.
- 1:03:26[SPEAKER_00]: It just sucks.
- 1:03:28[SPEAKER_00]: But he made some poor choices and he's kind of going through it.
- 1:03:31[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I don't think there's going to be any football impact or NFL impact, robber craft to still robber craft and, you know, you can get back into that whole or deal and shoot.
- 1:03:40[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of people keep saying, like, oh, bring any deep back.
- 1:03:42[SPEAKER_00]: Eddie D had some stuff too.
- 1:03:44[SPEAKER_00]: It is past for those of you that were around back then.
- 1:03:47[SPEAKER_00]: This is kind of the climate that we're in sometimes and I don't know.
- 1:03:53[SPEAKER_00]: So it sucks.
- 1:03:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's yeah, the jokes are gonna be there and it's funny.
- 1:03:57[SPEAKER_00]: I saw somebody post that, you know, there's got to be a bunch of opposing fans at 49er's games where in the Jed York mugshot and I was like opposing fans, there's got to be 40
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_00]: the way it goes.
- 1:04:13[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, how many different fantasy teams are going to be called criminal jewels?
- 1:04:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:04:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:04:19[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, come on.
- 1:04:20[SPEAKER_00]: I'd a list of criminal tools.
- 1:04:22[SPEAKER_00]: Criminal tools.
- 1:04:23[SPEAKER_01]: Criminal tools.
- 1:04:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I had a listener offer me money to wear a 49ers jersey to a game with 140 as the numbers in York on the back.
- 1:04:32[SPEAKER_00]: And he's like, how much will it take?
- 1:04:33[SPEAKER_00]: I'll pay it.
- 1:04:34[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm just like, oh, I don't know.
- 1:04:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's funny, but yeah.
- 1:04:40[SPEAKER_01]: But I, but we're in agreement.
- 1:04:41[SPEAKER_01]: No real impact on the football.
- 1:04:43[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you know, I know nobody wants to hear that out who don't like the Niners.
- 1:04:47[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, oh, yeah, right.
- 1:04:48[SPEAKER_01]: But I really do believe that.
- 1:04:50[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 1:04:50[SPEAKER_01]: Let's hit our supers and we'll bolt for the door.
- 1:04:52[SPEAKER_01]: We'll call this a night.
- 1:04:53[SPEAKER_01]: We got this one from Claude Addy Arcades is one of our sponsors.
- 1:04:57[SPEAKER_01]: He's got he's Claude Addy Arcades has been a proud sponsor of the Krug Choices.
- 1:05:01[SPEAKER_01]: We need to rest Krug for the last preseason game.
- 1:05:04[SPEAKER_01]: So we have him for all 17.
- 1:05:05[SPEAKER_00]: Let's F and go Niners faithful.
- 1:05:08[SPEAKER_00]: unbelievable the amount of work you're putting in right now, Larry.
- 1:05:11[SPEAKER_00]: I am impressed my friend.
- 1:05:13[SPEAKER_00]: No days off.
- 1:05:14[SPEAKER_00]: No days off.
- 1:05:15[SPEAKER_01]: Um, you know what?
- 1:05:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell you, it goes back.
- 1:05:19[SPEAKER_01]: It goes back to my mentor, my football mentor, the late great builder, Bannick, who was a great personnel guy and a great D-line coach.
- 1:05:27[SPEAKER_01]: And he said to me, I love you, boy.
- 1:05:29[SPEAKER_01]: I said, I'll love you too, coach.
- 1:05:30[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much.
- 1:05:32[SPEAKER_01]: Because I love you.
- 1:05:33[SPEAKER_01]: He goes, I love you, boy.
- 1:05:35[SPEAKER_01]: And you got a great attitude, and I'm like, great.
- 1:05:37[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, but you're fucking lazy.
- 1:05:41[SPEAKER_01]: I said coach, I got here at 7 a.m.
- 1:05:44[SPEAKER_01]: It's 7 45 p.m.
- 1:05:47[SPEAKER_01]: I'm almost working my 13th hour and I'm lazy.
- 1:05:50[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, you don't, you don't know what hard work is, boy.
- 1:05:54[SPEAKER_01]: And he just, he would just lecture me and he's like, he's like, you know what, I'm going to show you one of the know how hard it is, how hard it is, you know, how to work hard.
- 1:06:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to show you how to work hard.
- 1:06:03[SPEAKER_01]: I go, okay.
- 1:06:05[SPEAKER_01]: And he goes, I'll pick you up for work.
- 1:06:06[SPEAKER_01]: And I go, okay.
- 1:06:08[SPEAKER_01]: I go deal.
- 1:06:09[SPEAKER_01]: You pick me up for work.
- 1:06:10[SPEAKER_01]: You drive me home and then I'll just work your hours and then you can shut the fuck up because I'm tired of you bagging on me.
- 1:06:16[SPEAKER_01]: And he's like, he's like, all right.
- 1:06:17[SPEAKER_01]: So then we agreed.
- 1:06:18[SPEAKER_01]: Didn't even talk hours.
- 1:06:20[SPEAKER_01]: Just keep watching film.
- 1:06:22[SPEAKER_01]: Now he's dropping me up.
- 1:06:23[SPEAKER_01]: He's dropping me off like one 15 in the morning.
- 1:06:25[SPEAKER_01]: 115 he's dropping me off.
- 1:06:27[SPEAKER_01]: I got guys and girls come still in college at the time just finished college.
- 1:06:31[SPEAKER_01]: All my buddies are still in college So I mean they got girls over and party in and the coach pulls up.
- 1:06:36[SPEAKER_01]: It's like a Friday night drops me off at 115 Johnny There's like people on the roof.
- 1:06:40[SPEAKER_01]: There's people shooting pool.
- 1:06:41[SPEAKER_01]: There's a keg in the garage.
- 1:06:43[SPEAKER_01]: He gets out of the car.
- 1:06:44[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, man, I'm gonna have a beer He's like, you guys got it going on in here.
- 1:06:48[SPEAKER_01]: Damn crew and he drops me off 115
- 1:06:53[SPEAKER_01]: Has a beer, takes off, and he's walking to his car.
- 1:06:56[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, he's like, walk me out to my car, boy.
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm like, all right, all right.
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_01]: So I'll walk him out to his car.
- 1:07:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's guys like 58 years old.
- 1:07:04[SPEAKER_01]: And I go, all right, coach, have a great night.
- 1:07:07[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I'm glad that you got a chance to meet my roommates and everything.
- 1:07:10[SPEAKER_01]: So hey, yeah, you're gonna pick me up tomorrow.
- 1:07:11[SPEAKER_01]: What time are you gonna be?
- 1:07:12[SPEAKER_01]: What time are you gonna be here?
- 1:07:13[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, I'll be here at quarter two.
- 1:07:16[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, all right, sounds good.
- 1:07:17[SPEAKER_01]: I start walking away.
- 1:07:17[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, where does he go?
- 1:07:18[SPEAKER_01]: Quarter to what?
- 1:07:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:07:20[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
- 1:07:21[SPEAKER_01]: And he goes, I go quarter to what?
- 1:07:24[SPEAKER_01]: And he goes, quarter to five.
- 1:07:28[SPEAKER_01]: I go coach, it's 120 right now.
- 1:07:31[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, I'll see you at quarter to five.
- 1:07:34[SPEAKER_01]: And sure enough, bro, he picked me up at quarter to five and dropped me off at one between one and one, 30, the rest of the season.
- 1:07:44[SPEAKER_01]: I lost my friends, I lost my girlfriend, I lost everything, man.
- 1:07:50[SPEAKER_01]: I was just football, football, football, I had nothing.
- 1:07:54[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't have friends, I had no girl, I had nothing.
- 1:07:57[SPEAKER_01]: I literally was coming as my roommates were, they're going out, I'm coming in.
- 1:08:02[SPEAKER_01]: I'm getting up in the morning.
- 1:08:04[SPEAKER_01]: There's still playing video games.
- 1:08:06[SPEAKER_01]: They're playing Madden in the living room.
- 1:08:07[SPEAKER_01]: But I was like, what's the idea for this?
- 1:08:09[SPEAKER_00]: It affects, like, who you are now?
- 1:08:11[SPEAKER_00]: And that's awesome way to go coach, man.
- 1:08:13[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, so you know what?
- 1:08:14[SPEAKER_01]: That's why I work hard.
- 1:08:15[SPEAKER_01]: Because in my head, I hear that no longer deceased coach in my head going, you're, I love you boy, but you're fucking lazy.
- 1:08:22[SPEAKER_01]: And I say, coach, I'm not fucking lazy.
- 1:08:26[SPEAKER_01]: Um, all right, but thank you, Claudette.
- 1:08:28[SPEAKER_01]: We love you, bro.
- 1:08:29[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate him.
- 1:08:30[SPEAKER_01]: Rob's a great guy.
- 1:08:31[SPEAKER_01]: Drew Breeze says move stout to safety is smart because we have good cornerbacks.
- 1:08:37[SPEAKER_01]: Well, that could be an option because I think physical enough.
- 1:08:41[SPEAKER_01]: Wesley Fowler says, hey, 10 jewels crew, there you go.
- 1:08:44[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 1:08:45[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 1:08:45[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate you.
- 1:08:47[SPEAKER_01]: We got this one from Kid Trickster.
- 1:08:48[SPEAKER_01]: You got to be careful here.
- 1:08:50[SPEAKER_01]: Not a fan of any of our D-line guys.
- 1:08:52[SPEAKER_01]: Let's ping John Schneider for UDFA Mike Roch.
- 1:08:59[SPEAKER_00]: got you.
- 1:09:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I got you.
- 1:09:01[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 1:09:02[SPEAKER_01]: Say it fast.

- 1:10:42[SPEAKER_01]: I know it's a lot, but I want Quentin Nelson.
