- 0:08Speaker 2: Good morning Katie.
- 0:09Speaker 3: How are you going very well? How are you? And
- 0:12Speaker 3: how's Harold?
- 0:13Speaker 2: Oh Harold's awesome. He was rocking it out at Moulton
- 0:16Speaker 2: Park School assembly this morning, so he's very well. Thanks
- 0:19Speaker 2: for asking.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Now.
- 0:20Speaker 3: If anybody is wondering, who's Harold? Healthy?
- 0:23Speaker 1: Harold, we mean the wonderful healthy Harold and Susie. How
- 0:27Speaker 1: has all of Life Education's work been going this year?
- 0:31Speaker 2: Oh? Look, Katie, we're in more demand than ever, if
- 0:35Speaker 2: you can believe that after thirty four and a bit
- 0:38Speaker 2: years of providing health and drug education to territory kids
- 0:43Speaker 2: and young territorians. Yeah, look, we're really busy. We're a
- 0:48Speaker 2: little tream of three. That's myself here in Darwin. We've
- 0:51Speaker 2: got miss Page and Mistead doing our bush work. And yeah,
- 0:55Speaker 2: Miss Page is just delivered a bundle of goodie to
- 1:01Speaker 2: our beautiful children in Binjari, believe it or not.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Ah, that's fantastic. So what has what's been delivered to
- 1:09Speaker 1: the kids in Binjari.
- 1:12Speaker 2: We just delivered some boredom buster packs. So Harold was allowed.
- 1:17Speaker 2: He was actually invited by Anti Help. Yeah, the beautiful
- 1:21Speaker 2: nurses there, they said, look, the kids are bored out
- 1:23Speaker 2: of their brain in Binjari. They can't leave obviously, So
- 1:27Speaker 2: they made a call to Harold and said, look, Haza,
- 1:31Speaker 2: these kids are bored. We know that they love you, Harold.
- 1:34Speaker 2: What can you do for us? So Harold was allowed
- 1:37Speaker 2: just at the border of Binjari there and we dropped
- 1:40Speaker 2: off these boredom buster packs with some coloring in, some Harold,
- 1:46Speaker 2: some books and activity books. We supplied some health needing tips,
- 1:51Speaker 2: and those little packs went to seventy kids in Binjari
- 1:54Speaker 2: and they were all delighted. Their faces lit up. They
- 1:59Speaker 2: had holds, nickers stop all over their faces and arms
- 2:02Speaker 2: and legs, and they would delighted. They thanks Harold from
- 2:06Speaker 2: the bottom of our hearts and they had something to do.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Oh that is wonderful.
- 2:11Speaker 1: And you know, the kids absolutely love healthy Harold, but
- 2:15Speaker 1: they also love you know, the work that life ed does.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I understand that you guys are celebrating a birthday.
- 2:23Speaker 2: We are. Look, Katie, you did such an amazing job
- 2:27Speaker 2: hosting our thirtieth. Can you believe that's five years? Goodness me,
- 2:33Speaker 2: I know we're doing thirty five next year, would be
- 2:36Speaker 2: great if you would love, you know, hanging out with
- 2:38Speaker 2: us again.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Of course I love hanging out with you guys, and
- 2:42Speaker 1: Life Education do a phenomenal job.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Thirty five Gee whiz, I know?
- 2:47Speaker 2: Can you believe it? Howld still looks stabulous after all
- 2:49Speaker 2: this time? That's plays you know, healthy, you look, does
- 2:52Speaker 2: all the right things, play sports, Keith sactive, the eats
- 2:55Speaker 2: healthy food. And to help us with those remote things
- 2:59Speaker 2: that we do, we've actually got a fundraiser. It's called Thrive.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Like said, Thrive, it's on our website, the Life Education website.
- 3:09Speaker 2: We'd love to hit thirty five communities for our thirty
- 3:13Speaker 2: fifty year next year. And to help us do that,
- 3:16Speaker 2: it's corporates. If individuals want to jump onto the website,
- 3:21Speaker 2: they can donate and get us out to those communities
- 3:25Speaker 2: and help us make an impact, help us make a
- 3:27Speaker 2: difference to keep these kids thriving in those rule and
- 3:31Speaker 2: remote communities. We'd love as much support as possible. Like
- 3:35Speaker 2: I said, we're a tiny team of three and we're
- 3:38Speaker 2: already hit those communities that we'd love to get to
- 3:42Speaker 2: see them more often. We see twenty thousand kids in
- 3:45Speaker 2: NTY and there's three of us. We'd love to do
- 3:48Speaker 2: more and we'd love to be more prevalent.
- 3:51Speaker 1: It is amazing the work that you guys do. And
- 3:54Speaker 1: like you've just said that, there's three of you and
- 3:56Speaker 1: you go out to that high volume of communities and
- 3:59Speaker 1: go and see that many territory kids.
- 4:01Speaker 3: It's fantastic work.
- 4:04Speaker 1: So where can people head to, Susie if they do
- 4:06Speaker 1: want a little bit more info, if they would maybe
- 4:09Speaker 1: like to, you know, to make a donation to Life Education.
- 4:13Speaker 2: It's live education dot org dot au and if you
- 4:16Speaker 2: search the rise you will find it there. Hit the
- 4:19Speaker 2: donate button and we'd love corporates to come on board, individuals,
- 4:25Speaker 2: anybody who would love to be one of Harold's best mates.
- 4:29Speaker 2: And like I said, we're going to have another gala
- 4:31Speaker 2: for thirty five years. Keep an eye on that website,
- 4:34Speaker 2: look at our Facebook page, our Instagram. We're going to
- 4:38Speaker 2: keep everybody updated with what's going on well.
- 4:40Speaker 1: And Susie, I believe one year that you, with your
- 4:44Speaker 1: with your lovely negotiating skills, you got me to give
- 4:47Speaker 1: up alcohol. I think for a month, but I took
- 4:50Speaker 1: Natella and then I couldn't stop eating Natella.
- 4:53Speaker 3: So I've got to really get.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Katie, so I'll make sure make sure this time around
- 4:59Speaker 1: that i'd do everything right.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Okay, Oh, bless your cotton socks. I know you. Look,
- 5:05Speaker 2: we do appreciate all of your support for the Life
- 5:08Speaker 2: ED program. And there are so many Territorians who have
- 5:11Speaker 2: great fond memories of healthy Harold, and I bump into
- 5:14Speaker 2: them in the supermarket, I bump into them in the
- 5:17Speaker 2: frock shops, and everybody has great memories of Harold and
- 5:20Speaker 2: being in the van and having and like, I'm feeling
- 5:24Speaker 2: quite old now because I see that next generation come
- 5:27Speaker 2: through when they tell me, yes, my mum met Harold,
- 5:30Speaker 2: and now it's my grandma met Harold. So it's o Katie.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Here we are the next generation.
- 5:35Speaker 3: Ah, good on you, Susie. You are wonderful.
- 5:38Speaker 1: You guys do a phenomenal job, and we'll talk to
- 5:41Speaker 1: you very soon. But have yourself a lovely Christmas. Good
- 5:44Speaker 1: stuff with taking those packs out to the kids in
- 5:47Speaker 1: the binger oh sorry, in the.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Thank you and in the community, just very quickly.
- 5:51Speaker 2: We can't do what we do without a shout out
- 5:53Speaker 2: to our partners as well. So there might be three
- 5:57Speaker 2: of us, but our partners also do the hard yards too,
- 6:01Speaker 2: and less pilot Lloyd, miss Page's partner who occasionally dresses
- 6:07Speaker 2: up in that Harold suit and loses five kilos every time.
- 6:10Speaker 3: God love him, Midster, what a legend.
- 6:14Speaker 1: That's fantastic. Oh good on you, Susie. We'll talk to
