Speaker 1: This podcast is recorded on gadigal Land, Always was, always
• 0:03
Speaker 1: will be Aboriginal Land.
• 0:13
Speaker 2: Pytis, I'm out and this is two broad.
• 0:15

• 0:18
Speaker 1: help make you rich in life. And Welcome to a
• 0:23
Speaker 1: glow Up episode. I have the hiccups, so I'm trying
• 0:27
Speaker 1: to like, I can feel it brewing. But today we
• 0:30
Speaker 1: are chatting through our twenty five plus ways to glow
• 0:34
Speaker 1: up in twenty twenty five in like mind, body looks, soul,
• 0:39
Speaker 1: all of it, hot heart, especially heart on.
• 0:45
  Speaker 2: We'll say.
• 0:47
Speaker 1: I've got one right now. But before we get into
• 0:51
Speaker 1: the episode, what's your obsession of the week, sour, What
• 0:54
Speaker 1: are you obsessed with? What can you what's living in
• 0:57
Speaker 1: your brain? Renk Froid?
• 0:59
Speaker 3: Wow, did you know that people visualize the year differently?
• 1:03
Speaker 1: Oh? My god, Like that makes so much sense, but
• 1:07
Speaker 1: I'd never truly thought about it.
• 1:09
Speaker 4: How do you visualize the year?
• 1:10
  Speaker 1: Okay, I don't care. I don't care. April my birthday.
• 1:15
  Speaker 1: I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I
• 1:18
  Speaker 1: don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care,
• 1:21
  Speaker 1: I don't care. Christmas, Well, I'm kidding that I visualize
• 1:26
  Speaker 1: it in couplings.
• 1:28
Speaker 4: Yeah, so January, February, March April.
• 1:31
Speaker 3: So I imagine them grouped together in those two pairs,
• 1:34
Speaker 3: and I see those two pairs as like very much
• 1:37
  Speaker 3: the same.
• 1:38
Speaker 4: Vibe, and they all have their own particular little feeling.
• 1:41
Speaker 4: But yeah, it's just.
• 1:42
Speaker 3: Wild that every I had no idea that everybody thought
• 1:45
Speaker 3: about the year in different ways.
• 1:47
Speaker 1: Yeah, but I feel like we can all collectively say, January,
• 1:50
Speaker 1: you feel every thirty one days of January, you feel
• 1:54
Speaker 1: every seventy three days of January, you feel the whole
• 1:56
  Speaker 1: year in January.
• 1:58
Speaker 4: Okay, well, what's your obsession?
• 1:59
Speaker 1: So a new Start has found that couples who spend
• 2:02
Speaker 1: more on their wedding and engagement rings are more likely
• 2:06
Speaker 1: to divorce. No way. So. A study by economists Andrew
• 2:11
Speaker 1: Francis Tan and Hugo M. Miln found that couples who
• 2:14
Speaker 1: spend more on their weddings and engagement rings are more
• 2:17
Speaker 1: likely to divorce. Higher spending on rings and lavish weddings
• 2:21
Speaker 1: increases the risk, while more modest celebrations are linked to
• 2:24
  Speaker 1: lower divorce rates.
• 2:26
  Speaker 2: Wow.
• 2:28
Speaker 1: Interesting, right, I wonder if some of that comes from
• 2:32
Speaker 1: secondary marriages, because whenever I've spoken to people who are
• 2:37
Speaker 1: getting married a second time. They spent heaps of money
• 2:40
Speaker 1: on their first wedding and the second time they're like,
• 2:42
Speaker 1: I can't be fucking asked to do that. Yeah, like
• 2:44
Speaker 1: I wish they didn't spend that much money. The average
• 2:46
Speaker 1: Australian wedding costs thirty six thousand dollars. According to money
• 2:51
Speaker 1: smart Server, eighty two percent of couples dipped into their
• 2:54
Speaker 1: savings to pay for their wedding, sixty percent of couples
• 2:57
Speaker 1: got a loan and eighteen percent newsday credit card. The
• 3:01
Speaker 1: average cost of an Australian wedding is thirty six thousand
• 3:04
Speaker 1: dollars for one day. Oh on a really nice holiday
• 3:07
  Speaker 1: for that.
• 3:08
Speaker 4: But also you spend your money how you wish.
• 3:12
Speaker 3: But yeah, there it's very expensive, very expensive affair. I'd
• 3:15
Speaker 3: be booking things in and like not saying it's for
• 3:17
  Speaker 3: a wedding.
• 3:18
  Speaker 1: That's I think there's a wedding tax. There's like the
• 3:20
Speaker 1: wedding tax that like when you go to a cake
• 3:22
Speaker 1: maker or a dressmaker or something and you book it
• 3:26
Speaker 1: in and then apparently as soon as you say it's
• 3:28
Speaker 1: for a wedding, they like the price gets increased significantly. Yeah, yeah,
• 3:34
Speaker 1: I would do the exact same thing, like for my
• 3:38
Speaker 1: sirch it's for my thirty seventh christening. Yeah, it's a
• 3:42
Speaker 1: white cake, a little man and woman on the top,
• 3:47
Speaker 1: and a cat a cat amazing.
• 3:51
Speaker 4: Well there you go.
• 3:51
Speaker 3: Shit, maybe it's a good idea to spend a little less, Yeah,
• 3:57
Speaker 3: to ensure your love lasts long.
• 3:59
Speaker 1: Like if I if I got married, I'd probably have
• 4:03
Speaker 1: a wedding, but I don't want to spend that much money.
• 4:07
Speaker 2: I would love to know how much did.
• 4:09
Speaker 1: The chicks who are married spend on their wedding? How
• 4:13
Speaker 1: much did you spend on your wedding? And if you
• 4:15
Speaker 1: had your time over, would you spend that much money?
• 4:18
Speaker 3: Again, if you're listening on Spotify, put how much you
• 4:22
Speaker 3: did spend? Put your answer to that question in the
• 4:24
  Speaker 3: comments place.
• 4:26
Speaker 4: I want to see you.
• 4:27
Speaker 1: We want the juicy Heart girls. And if you spend
• 4:30
Speaker 1: a lot of money, did you get divorced?
• 4:33
  Speaker 4: Yees?
• 4:34
Speaker 1: Divorce? Shall we get into the episode?
• 4:37
Speaker 4: Let's do it all right?
• 4:43
Speaker 1: My first way to go to go leaving, my first
• 4:48
Speaker 1: way to glow up in twenty twenty five is to
• 4:51
Speaker 1: get a tongue scraper. Now, this is an un sexy product,
• 4:56
Speaker 1: and it's been discussed many times on the internet, and
• 4:59
Speaker 1: I absolutely influenced. But it was always one of those
• 5:03
Speaker 1: things that I was like, Oh, I should get one
• 5:04
Speaker 1: of those, and I just didn't get one for like
• 5:07
Speaker 1: literally a fucking year. Like I was like, I really
• 5:09
Speaker 1: want to get one, I really want to get one,
• 5:10
Speaker 1: And I finally got one, and I love it. I
• 5:14
Speaker 1: love her. I got a bit excited the first time
• 5:17
Speaker 1: I used it and I drew blood, So don't go
• 5:19
Speaker 1: too too hard. And it did freak me out a
• 5:22
Speaker 1: little bit when you can see all like the individual
• 5:23
Speaker 1: taste buds. I'm not doing a good cell here, am I.
• 5:26
Speaker 1: But tongue scraping removes seventy nine percent more bacteria than brushing.
• 5:33
  Speaker 4: Wow.
• 5:33
Speaker 1: And a study also found that scraping your tongue is
• 5:38
Speaker 1: more effective at reducing bad breath and the bacteria that
• 5:43
Speaker 1: causes like bad breath odor than brushing. So if you
• 5:47
Speaker 1: want to have like minty, fresh, gorgeous breath all the time,
• 5:50
Speaker 1: get a tongue scrape back. And also it feels amazing.
• 5:53
Speaker 1: I was gonna say, feel clean, so clean, and I
• 5:57
Speaker 1: lab that, Yeah, I want to get one. Influenced, it
• 6:00
Speaker 1: was honestly, I got it was eight dollars on Amazon.
• 6:03
Speaker 1: We can link the ones in our store front. And
• 6:05
Speaker 1: I got two, so it was four dollars each.
• 6:07
Speaker 3: Oh wow, bloody bug and Dad, yeah my first one.
• 6:10
  Speaker 1: Yes.
• 6:11
Speaker 4: The rule of three styling tip.
• 6:14
Speaker 3: If you feel like you're in a slump with your outfits,
• 6:18
Speaker 3: try using the rule of three styling tip. It's adding
• 6:21
Speaker 3: three key pieces of visual interest to your outfit. So
• 6:25
  Speaker 3: let's say you're wearing a pair of jeans and a
• 6:27
Speaker 3: white T shirt. That doesn't count. That's like the base
• 6:30
Speaker 3: of your outfit. The three key visual pieces you could
• 6:33
Speaker 3: add would be like an interesting jacket, so maybe like
• 6:36
Speaker 3: a cool blazer with a stripe through it, or a
• 6:40
Speaker 3: leather jacket. Then you could do a cool pair of boots,
• 6:45
Speaker 3: maybe with a pop of color. And then the third
• 6:47
Speaker 3: one could be your jewelry or your belt or your sunglasses.
• 6:51
Speaker 3: So it's just because I think sometimes when you're putting
• 6:53
Speaker 3: together an outfit, it can be overwhelming, or you feel
• 6:56
Speaker 3: like you wear the same thing all the time.
• 6:59
Speaker 4: And you're like, I want to mix a but without
• 7:00
Speaker 4: having to buy a completely brand new thing or not
• 7:04
Speaker 4: know where to start.
• 7:05
Speaker 3: Start with those three key pieces and I think that's
• 7:08
Speaker 3: such an easy way to add some interest to your outfits,
• 7:12
Speaker 3: and also it gives you more options when you want
• 7:14
Speaker 3: to rewag you're close to you.
• 7:15
Speaker 1: My base outfits are always so boring. It's base outfits
• 7:18
Speaker 1: in a cool jacket. Yeah, Like I'm a slut for
• 7:21
Speaker 1: a jacket. Love it.
• 7:23
Speaker 3: My most common like three pieces that add visual interest
• 7:26
Speaker 3: would be a cool pair of boots, good pair of sunglasses,
• 7:31
Speaker 3: and then a handbag.
• 7:33
Speaker 1: You do have cool handbags. You don't think jewelry you
• 7:36
Speaker 1: always have cool jewelry.
• 7:38
Speaker 3: I would say, yeah, I do, but I also love
• 7:42
Speaker 3: to wear like classic pieces of jewelry, so like gold,
• 7:45
Speaker 3: pair of hoops, gold chain, which I do think adds
• 7:48
Speaker 3: visual interest, but that is also like very classic.
• 7:50
Speaker 1: Yeah. My next tip is to stop pointing out your
• 7:54
Speaker 1: insecurities to other people and also yourself, because people do
• 7:59
Speaker 1: not know things as much as you think you do,
• 8:02
Speaker 1: and we have this tendency to like self deprecate and
• 8:08
Speaker 1: just kind of push these things on other people. And
• 8:10
Speaker 1: when you're pointing out your insecurities to other people and
• 8:13
Speaker 1: like the thing that you don't like, they have never
• 8:16
Speaker 1: ever thought that, and you're just shining a big torch
• 8:20
Speaker 1: on yourself, being like, look like the amount of times
• 8:24
Speaker 1: I say to you, oh my god, look at this
• 8:25
Speaker 1: giant fucking pimple, and you're like, I didn't even notice,
• 8:28
Speaker 1: but I do now, and like you don't care, like
• 8:31
Speaker 1: you're not there being like you're so fucking ugly, like
• 8:36
Speaker 1: it will wash your face, Like that's not what's happening.
• 8:39
Speaker 1: But I think when you want to kind of be
• 8:42
Speaker 1: glowing and feel confidence, that comes with also putting yourself
• 8:47
Speaker 1: in a position of confidence and like self love. And
• 8:51
Speaker 1: by pointing out insecurities to other people, you're not only
• 8:54
Speaker 1: showing them like look how fucking ugly. I am kidding,
• 8:57
Speaker 1: but you're like pointing out these things that you're putting
• 9:00
Speaker 1: yourself lower. And I feel like we also point them
• 9:03
Speaker 1: out to ourselves, like the way that we say things
• 9:06
Speaker 1: about ourselves, even in our mind or out loud, or
• 9:08
Speaker 1: being like oh like I don't like the way this
• 9:09
Speaker 1: looks in that or I don't like.
• 9:11
Speaker 3: Yeah, Like, you just reinforce those negatives beliefs that you
• 9:16
Speaker 3: have about yourself. And then I find that when I
• 9:20
Speaker 3: if I point something out to somebody or I say
• 9:23
Speaker 3: something loud, then in my head, I'm like, oh, now,
• 9:26
Speaker 3: they know and now they're looking yeah, or now every
• 9:29
Speaker 3: time like this thing happens, like they're going to be
• 9:31
Speaker 3: thinking that, or I look this way, they're going to
• 9:33
  Speaker 3: be thinking that.
• 9:34
  Speaker 4: It's like, no, they don't.
• 9:36
Speaker 1: And I do know that there's like a nuance to
• 9:40
Speaker 1: this as well, like I don't think there's anything wrong
• 9:42
Speaker 1: to me turning to you as my best friend and
• 9:45
Speaker 1: being like look at this giant fucking zip or whatever
• 9:47
Speaker 1: it is. You know, Like I think there's obviously like
• 9:51
Speaker 1: comfortable times and places for that, But I'm meaning like
• 9:54
Speaker 1: as a daily habit, Like habits are double edged sword,
• 9:58
Speaker 1: Like bad habits can cut you down just as easily
• 10:00
Speaker 1: as good habits can build you up. And that is
• 10:03
Speaker 1: a habit, a bad habit that can cut you down
• 10:06
Speaker 1: and like ruin your self confidence. So I'm really trying
• 10:10
Speaker 1: to like embody that in terms of because like I
• 10:12
Speaker 1: love us self deprecating jo't doll, But is it actually
• 10:17
Speaker 1: making me laugh or is it making me feel like shit? Shit? Crap?
• 10:22
Speaker 4: That hurts some truths seriously.
• 10:26
Speaker 1: Our next glow up tip is from our sponsor Luxatalon.
• 10:31
Speaker 1: This is the Lazy Girl shower hack. It's like a
• 10:34
Speaker 1: lazy girl beauty hack that went literally viral, and it
• 10:38
Speaker 1: was to dampen your skin in the shower. So we
• 10:41
Speaker 1: posted this video and it literally popped off. So our
• 10:47
Speaker 1: lazy girl shower hack had literally over eight hundred thousand views.
• 10:51
Speaker 1: And it is essentially to use an oil when you
• 10:55
Speaker 1: were getting out of the shower, So when your skin
• 10:57
Speaker 1: is still wet, you put the oil on your skin
• 11:00
Speaker 1: and then you dry yourself and that like absorbs into
• 11:04
Speaker 1: your skin so much more. It means you don't have
• 11:05
Speaker 1: to moisturize when you get out of the shower. And
• 11:07
Speaker 1: it's my like lazy girl ride or die I looa it.
• 11:12
Speaker 1: And when we posted this, the number one question was
• 11:15
  Speaker 1: but what oil?
• 11:17
  Speaker 4: But which one?
• 11:18
  Speaker 1: Which?
• 11:18
  Speaker 4: Which one?
• 11:19
Speaker 1: And it's actually a long story, long story short. I
• 11:25
Speaker 1: discovered this hack from Leah from Love Island. She posted
• 11:28
Speaker 1: this like vanilla body care routine and she uses this
• 11:33
Speaker 1: Loxatan body oil. And so when we did this video,
• 11:36
Speaker 1: that's the oil that we bought and I started using
• 11:39
Speaker 1: that and the Loxatan shower oils. Oh my god, it
• 11:45
Speaker 1: sent me down a rabbit hole and I am now
• 11:48
Speaker 1: a sista. Okay, So it's the Loxatan armond shower oil
• 11:54
Speaker 1: and it retails for forty two dollars and it has
• 11:58
Speaker 1: four point eight out of five stars from thousands of reviews,
• 12:04
Speaker 1: so it's good. One is also sold every seven seconds worldwide.
• 12:10
  Speaker 1: That's a lot of oil. That's a lot of oil.
• 12:16
Speaker 1: But it just melts immediately into your skin. It smells
• 12:20
Speaker 1: amazing and as like a dry skin Xmgirley. It's really
• 12:25
Speaker 1: changed my whole body care routine. And yeah, the almond
• 12:28
Speaker 1: and vanilla sent of it is just so deliciously good.
• 12:31
Speaker 1: If you are a vanilla sent girly, you need to
• 12:33
Speaker 1: try this. And yeah, when you're applying it on your
• 12:36
Speaker 1: skin in the shower, it's just so good.
• 12:39
Speaker 4: It's cleansing as well, Like what can't it do?
• 12:44
Speaker 1: What you do? She can't be talked. The best lazy
• 12:49
Speaker 1: girl beauty hack I have ever been given and will
• 12:51
Speaker 1: forever share until I'm lowered into the grave, is to
• 12:54
Speaker 1: put oil on your skin when you're in the shower.
• 12:58
  Speaker 4: Okay.
• 12:58
Speaker 3: My next one is the bluff communication tactic, and this
• 13:03
Speaker 3: is a good one to pull out at work, especially.
• 13:07
Speaker 4: Blow up at the work please exactly so.
• 13:10
Speaker 3: Bluff is an acronym that stands for bottom line up front.
• 13:15
Speaker 3: It's communicating the most important thing.
• 13:17
Speaker 1: At the top. Yeah, I'm big fan, big jam.
• 13:20
Speaker 3: So if you're sending an email or you're presenting or
• 13:22
Speaker 3: having a conversation, put the most important information at the top.
• 13:27
Speaker 3: A lot of the time we feel the need to
• 13:29
Speaker 3: provide the context first. So they said no to this,
• 13:32
Speaker 3: So we've provided this option, blah blah, xyz, so we've
• 13:35
Speaker 3: ended up here and this is the resolution or this
• 13:38
Speaker 3: is the next step. Instead you would reframe that and
• 13:41
Speaker 3: put the next step up top. So we're going to
• 13:44
Speaker 3: do this because XYZ. I like that and provide that
• 13:48
Speaker 3: because firstly, it helps you come across more confident and
• 13:52
Speaker 3: you know what you're talking about. But also people are
• 13:55
Speaker 3: going to remember the first thing that you tell them,
• 13:58
Speaker 3: and if you bury it in the context, some people.
• 14:00
Speaker 1: Like, wait, people bury the lead.
• 14:02
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 14:03
Speaker 3: It's kind of like the inverted pyramid of conversation. So
• 14:06
Speaker 3: if you need journalism or you remember that from yours
• 14:10
Speaker 3: and I don't remember it, Essentially it's putting the most
• 14:14
Speaker 3: important information up top.
• 14:15
Speaker 1: Yeah, I respect that you're gonna light this one ready?
• 14:19
Speaker 4: Are your ears open?
• 14:21
Speaker 1: Your phone? Is why you don't feel sexy for the
• 14:29
Speaker 1: players at home? So I just not put it phone
• 14:32
Speaker 1: away and off the table. So there is an incredible
• 14:35
Speaker 1: article written by Catherine Shannon on how your phone is
• 14:40
Speaker 1: killing your ability to feel sexy. And this is obviously
• 14:44
Speaker 1: not a new notion, Like we we know this. We've
• 14:49
Speaker 1: talked about body positivity on social media and following people
• 14:52
Speaker 1: that look like you and like how the comparison trap
• 14:57
Speaker 1: of social media is debilitating to your com evidence. But
• 15:01
Speaker 1: I really really liked the life lesson I took, and
• 15:04
Speaker 1: I thought it was like a very refreshing wake up
• 15:06
Speaker 1: call in the way that she approaches how our phones
• 15:09
Speaker 1: make us feel unsexy. And in the article she states
• 15:13
Speaker 1: that getting a text or a voicemail or a ring
• 15:16
Speaker 1: on your house phone and someone saying it's for you,
• 15:19
Speaker 1: that was sexy, Like in the nineties and the early
• 15:22
Speaker 1: two thousands, using up all your credit to like click
• 15:26
Speaker 1: a button three times to get one letter and text
• 15:28
Speaker 1: your cash all night, you know what I mean, Like
• 15:30
Speaker 1: that was sexy when texts cost a dollar to say,
• 15:34
Speaker 1: because it was a little bit harder and we didn't
• 15:38
Speaker 1: do it as much right. And in the article she says,
• 15:42
Speaker 1: we've made things too easy, We've lost the chase. And
• 15:46
Speaker 1: here's a quote that I think really made me giggle
• 15:49
Speaker 1: out there. But I was like, fuck, you're so real
• 15:51
Speaker 1: for that. She says, something is deeply wrong when we
• 15:53
Speaker 1: sexed the same way we order a sandwich. So true,
• 15:59
Speaker 1: she continues to say, today, everyone and everything is always available,
• 16:03
Speaker 1: and there's nothing less sexy than that. There's no chase.
• 16:07
Speaker 1: Our phones don't allow us time to dwell, and they
• 16:10
Speaker 1: don't allow us time to yearn.
• 16:13
Speaker 4: Stance makes the heart grow fonder.
• 16:15
Speaker 1: Why force yourself to daydream about the guy you're seeing
• 16:18
Speaker 1: when you can easily look at dozens of photographs on
• 16:21
Speaker 1: him online. Why walk into a store in Soho and
• 16:24
Speaker 1: see what's on offer when you can stay home and
• 16:27
Speaker 1: scroll the entire inventory from the comfort of your couch.
• 16:30
Speaker 1: Why go to the library to find books about a
• 16:32
Speaker 1: topic that interests you when you can look it up
• 16:35
Speaker 1: on Wikipedia in two minutes and move on with your day.
• 16:38
Speaker 1: But the life lesson that I really felt in my
• 16:41
Speaker 1: heart and soul and I was like, fuck, is that
• 16:45
Speaker 1: social media forces us to borrow desires from others. Yeah,
• 16:50
Speaker 1: I just watched your brain chemistry go.
• 16:54
  Speaker 2: Right.
• 16:54
Speaker 1: So we begin to want things that we didn't even
• 16:57
Speaker 1: know we needed. And it's a little bit like then
• 17:01
Speaker 1: even just you know products, right. I also want to
• 17:05
Speaker 1: practice this with saying it's not to say that social
• 17:08
Speaker 1: media isn't helpful. I have found some of the most
• 17:11
Speaker 1: incredible hacks and products and things that I am so
• 17:16
Speaker 1: glad that I discovered because of TikTok and Instagram and
• 17:20
Speaker 1: social media and like.
• 17:22
Speaker 4: And you can build community and find people.
• 17:24
Speaker 1: Absolutely, it's not to say I Am not going to
• 17:26
Speaker 1: sit here and say like pignalks it over social media,
• 17:29
Speaker 1: because I do really like it and I've taken the
• 17:32
Speaker 1: time to cultivate, you know, a feed and creators and
• 17:35
Speaker 1: a following list that I do feel like fills my cup.
• 17:38
Speaker 1: That's not to say it feels it every time. And
• 17:40
Speaker 1: it's also not to say that I feel great every
• 17:42
Speaker 1: time I'm on social media. There are definitely days and
• 17:45
Speaker 1: I'm like, why do I feel like shit, Oh yeah,
• 17:48
Speaker 1: I've been on my phone all day. But it does
• 17:50
Speaker 1: pose the question of maybe you don't feel sexy because
• 17:53
Speaker 1: it's on purpose. If you feel sexy and confident, then
• 17:57
Speaker 1: you're going to spend less. And it's this notion of
• 18:02
Speaker 1: if you're confident, shit, we've got to change, like, we've
• 18:05
Speaker 1: got to change the tide. And that's why these trends,
• 18:07
Speaker 1: they're constantly changing, so that you're always just a little
• 18:11
  Speaker 1: step behind.
• 18:12
Speaker 4: Yeah, that's chasing something.
• 18:14
Speaker 1: Yeah, like you won't get your hair done in the
• 18:16
Speaker 1: Teddy Bear chocolate brown two fla shade that's so in viral.
• 18:20
Speaker 1: You won't buy the skinny jeans that were cringe two
• 18:22
Speaker 1: years ago, but now Alex Earl's wearing them, so they're
• 18:25
Speaker 1: back in. And if you're listening to this episode in
• 18:27
Speaker 1: two years time, they're probably out again and cringe. Yeah.
• 18:31
Speaker 1: It is a nice reminder that whenever you are on
• 18:34
Speaker 1: your phone and you're like, oh, yeah, I want that,
• 18:37
Speaker 1: do you or are you borrowing the desire? And I'll
• 18:41
Speaker 1: finish this with the final quote from the article, which
• 18:43
Speaker 1: is a perfect go up tip in itself, and it's
• 18:46
Speaker 1: that remember this the next time you fall asleep to
• 18:49
Speaker 1: a TikTok playing on an endless loop. One day, your
• 18:52
Speaker 1: heart will stop beating. The only thing that's eternal is love. Well,
• 18:57
Speaker 1: I'll send you the article we show notes as well.
• 19:00
Speaker 1: It's a substack and substacks my like hyperfixation. At the moment,
• 19:04
Speaker 1: I'm obsessed with it. I actually have another one coming
• 19:07
Speaker 1: up later in the episode.
• 19:08
Speaker 3: Yeah sexy, Okay, my next one is adding whimsy to
• 19:14
  Speaker 3: the mundane.
• 19:15
Speaker 1: Yes, I've seen this. I'm seen this.
• 19:19
Speaker 3: Sorry, I've seen thee like a couple of different iterations.
• 19:23
Speaker 4: So I'll find the TikTok and I'll link it in
• 19:25
Speaker 4: the show notes as well.
• 19:27
Speaker 3: But there was one chick on TikTok who posted doing
• 19:30
Speaker 3: a call out being like, what are the things that
• 19:32
Speaker 3: you do every day every day to add whimsy to
• 19:36
Speaker 3: the mundane? And they were just like so cute and
• 19:39
Speaker 3: silly and funny all the comments. But then I've also
• 19:42
Speaker 3: been soved with like a lot of TikTok's about how
• 19:44
Speaker 3: to add whimsy to your everyday routine that are much
• 19:48
Speaker 3: more like witchy kind of which is obviously where our hearts.
• 19:54
Speaker 1: My favorite thing is that every woman wants to be
• 19:57
Speaker 1: a witch, right, every woman wants to be like and
• 20:01
Speaker 1: every woman is a witch?
• 20:02
Speaker 4: Yeah, I agree, honestly.
• 20:04
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 20:05
Speaker 3: So some of my favorite ways to add whimsy to
• 20:07
Speaker 3: the mundane is listening to orchestral and classical music while
• 20:11
Speaker 3: you're working, reading, cleaning the house.
• 20:15
Speaker 4: I also love to.
• 20:16
Speaker 3: Put on the TV on YouTube, like those ambient settings,
• 20:22
Speaker 3: so like the rainy day or the common room.
• 20:26
Speaker 1: In ones, or there's ones that's set in like fourth
• 20:30
Speaker 1: wing with like dragons flying around. Yeah.
• 20:33
Speaker 4: Yeah, like just even that while you're reading.
• 20:35
Speaker 3: Oh my god, incredible carrying crystals on your person, so
• 20:41
Speaker 3: putting like a crystal in your bra or in your purse,
• 20:45
Speaker 3: which I love. And one that I want to start
• 20:47
Speaker 3: doing that I saw from one of these tiktoks is
• 20:50
Speaker 3: putting a sprig of rosemary in your journal, yeah, which
• 20:54
Speaker 3: I just think is so cute. Like you can use
• 20:57
Speaker 3: that obviously as a bookmark if you really will, but
• 21:01
Speaker 3: also then your journal is gonna smell like rosemary every
• 21:04
Speaker 3: time you open it.
• 21:05
Speaker 4: Like how romantic is that?
• 21:07
Speaker 1: I love it. Let's be more whimsy. Okay. My next
• 21:10
Speaker 1: sculpt it for twenty twenty five is find your minimum
• 21:14
Speaker 1: effective dose makeup. So I've been on a little bit
• 21:18
Speaker 1: of skin journey this year, and my goal not this year,
• 21:22
Speaker 1: but last year was to try embrace wearing less makeup.
• 21:27
Speaker 1: And by the end of last year, my skin said
• 21:32
Speaker 1: bet it was like go off, king go on, And
• 21:36
Speaker 1: I was really struggling with like cystic and hormonal acne
• 21:40
Speaker 1: and my skin barrier was fucked to the suns like
• 21:44
Speaker 1: it was she was not having good tomes. She was
• 21:46
Speaker 1: going through it, and I really really lost my confidence
• 21:48
Speaker 1: to go like without makeup. And I feel like now
• 21:53
Speaker 1: after you know, going to Faceelle and really really working
• 21:56
Speaker 1: on repairing that skin barrier, I've found a place with
• 21:59
Speaker 1: my skin that I am so much more confident that
• 22:01
Speaker 1: I've actually been able to step away from feeling like
• 22:04
Speaker 1: I need a full beat like every day, Like most
• 22:08
Speaker 1: days now, I have my minimum effective dose makeup to
• 22:13
Speaker 1: feel like I'm put together, and it's not about for
• 22:16
Speaker 1: anyone else, and it's purely like a for me thing
• 22:18
Speaker 1: that I like to I really enjoy doing my makeup,
• 22:21
Speaker 1: Like I really enjoy sitting down and putting makeup on
• 22:24
Speaker 1: and that process of feeling like I'm getting ready for
• 22:28
Speaker 1: the day. Yes, it's fine and it's fun. It's fun
• 22:30
Speaker 1: to play. And your minimum effective dose is so different,
• 22:34
Speaker 1: like depending on who you are, it's what you like
• 22:38
Speaker 1: and to feel put together. And for me, I've found
• 22:42
Speaker 1: like some of the most amazing products that it is
• 22:44
Speaker 1: the I'm going to give my product recommendations for the
• 22:47
Speaker 1: minimum effective dose makeup look, so it's minimal makeup to
• 22:51
Speaker 1: feel and look like you've still got it together. Put
• 22:54
Speaker 1: together vibes, right, skinned hint, this thing glowing like I
• 23:00
Speaker 1: I feel like it like just evens out my entire skin,
• 23:02
Speaker 1: don't And I'm glowing from within. And I mix it
• 23:05
Speaker 1: with the Tart Cosmetics bronzing drops, and those bronzing drops
• 23:09
Speaker 1: are like a super thin serumi kind of texture, and
• 23:15
Speaker 1: it just creates this lift in my skin, like this
• 23:18
Speaker 1: glow like I kind of have dull skin, and it
• 23:21
Speaker 1: just like lifts it as if I am naturally sunkissed
• 23:26
Speaker 1: European sun kissed goddess vibes.
• 23:29
  Speaker 2: Right.
• 23:30
Speaker 1: My second is because that super light coverage is I
• 23:34
Speaker 1: go with like a more high coverage concealer and it's
• 23:38
Speaker 1: the borne this way two face conceala e. My fucking god,
• 23:43
Speaker 1: Soal put me onto this and it is, without a doubt,
• 23:46
Speaker 1: the best concealer I've ever used in my entire life.
• 23:52
Speaker 1: There are definitely still other concealers that I love, but
• 23:54
Speaker 1: this when we repurchase things, that's how you know we
• 23:57
Speaker 1: really like it, ycause we are very lucky enough to
• 23:59
Speaker 1: get scent a lot of stuff. But I'm like, give
• 24:03
Speaker 1: me that bad boy, yeah her, she's too forever ever ever.
• 24:08
Speaker 1: And then I use a lip tint basically across my
• 24:12
Speaker 1: whole face. And it's the Mabeling Teddy tint in skinny
• 24:17
Speaker 1: Dip because it's like a bronze blush that you don't
• 24:21
Speaker 1: need to wear bronzer and you don't need to wear
• 24:23
Speaker 1: blush because it's smack bang crackle pop in the same thing.
• 24:26
Speaker 1: And because it's like a lip tint, but you can
• 24:29
Speaker 1: use it on your eyes, you can use it on
• 24:31
Speaker 1: your cheek, you can use it on your lips. That
• 24:33
Speaker 1: the whole thing just looks cohesive and put together and
• 24:36
Speaker 1: it's long war so I don't have to reapply. And
• 24:39
Speaker 1: often when you're using cream products or light coverage, they
• 24:43
Speaker 1: like fall off your face. It's like, oh is it
• 24:46
Speaker 1: a little bit hot today? Goodbye?
• 24:48
  Speaker 4: Yeah, And it.
• 24:48
Speaker 1: Is so good. And then my final one is the
• 24:52
Speaker 1: Flower Beauty Lash Warrior mascara. It's literally ten dollars and
• 24:56
Speaker 1: the best mascara you'll ever use. So those are my
• 25:00
Speaker 1: I love it well, my no makeup makeup, Yeah, I'm
• 25:03
  Speaker 1: into it.
• 25:04
Speaker 3: My next one, I'll keep it quick because it's also
• 25:06
Speaker 3: a beauty wreck and it's to use a tubing mascara,
• 25:10
Speaker 3: so if you have oily eyelids or you find that
• 25:14
Speaker 3: your mascara transfers use a tubing mascara.
• 25:18
Speaker 2: It's completely you really like it.
• 25:19
Speaker 1: The moment one nice and affordable to it, Yeah, really affordable.
• 25:23
Speaker 1: I've been using it in the brown shade, but it's
• 25:25
Speaker 1: also available in black, and I really like it. I've
• 25:29
Speaker 1: been really struggling with a lot of mascara is transferring
• 25:33
Speaker 1: and this one is so good. I've been really getting
• 25:35
  Speaker 1: around it.
• 25:36
  Speaker 4: Love it. Recommend.
• 25:38
Speaker 1: Okay, my next one is another quick one, and it's
• 25:41
Speaker 1: to steam your clothes.
• 25:42
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 25:42
  Speaker 1: I know it's a pain in the ass, but I
• 25:44
Speaker 1: promise it's worth it because whenever you don't steam your clothes,
• 25:48
Speaker 1: it doesn't look as good as when you steam your clothes.
• 25:51
Speaker 1: And that might sound like I'm stating the obvious, but
• 25:54
Speaker 1: whenever you're there in the morning and I'm talking to
• 25:56
Speaker 1: my future self and I'm there and I'm like, I
• 25:57
Speaker 1: can't be bothered to steam it in the day, I'm like,
• 26:00
Speaker 1: I should have just steamed it. Or when I do
• 26:02
Speaker 1: steam it, I'm like, I'm glad I did that. Do
• 26:04
Speaker 1: you see a photo of yourself and you're like, because
• 26:06
Speaker 1: you think in your head, you're like, oh, it's not
• 26:08
  Speaker 1: that noticeable.
• 26:08
Speaker 4: Nobody will be able to tell.
• 26:10
Speaker 1: And it's not noticeable. No one's looking at you and going,
• 26:13
Speaker 1: you didn't steam. But there's just an elevation to your
• 26:18
Speaker 1: clothes when you properly prep them for when you're wearing them.
• 26:22
Speaker 1: And when you're spending so much money on your clothes,
• 26:24
Speaker 1: wouldn't you want them to look their best? Yeah? And
• 26:26
Speaker 1: take you know, the two minutes. You can get a
• 26:29
Speaker 1: steamer from Kmart and it will do the job.
• 26:31
  Speaker 4: Yeah.
• 26:31
Speaker 1: And it's so quick and you don't have to fuck
• 26:33
Speaker 1: around with a nining board, do it the night before.
• 26:37
Speaker 4: That's just the easiest way.
• 26:38
  Speaker 1: Please my god.
• 26:40
Speaker 3: Okay, okay, My next one is buying duplicates to make
• 26:44
  Speaker 3: your life easier.
• 26:45
Speaker 4: Oh so there's a few different.
• 26:48
Speaker 1: Categories that I think that this could sit in, depending
• 26:51
Speaker 1: on what you need. But I was out for dinner
• 26:54
Speaker 1: with a friend the other day and they were talking
• 26:55
Speaker 1: about how they needed to buy new socks.
• 26:59
  Speaker 4: So they had.
• 27:00
Speaker 3: Brought them in years, as we do, so they're all
• 27:02
Speaker 3: a bit ratty and ready to go. So she threw
• 27:04
Speaker 3: away all of her socks and then repurchased like ten
• 27:09
Speaker 3: just of the same pair. She was like, now, I
• 27:11
Speaker 3: will never have mismatch socks. And then another thing that
• 27:15
Speaker 3: I've been doing is with tupperware containers. So I know
• 27:20
Speaker 3: everybody's tupperwear container drawer is just like it's basically the
• 27:24
Speaker 3: junk drawer of your kitchen, and everybody just like throws
• 27:28
Speaker 3: it in there and like slams the door and then
• 27:30
Speaker 3: just hopes that like it won't all come crashing down
• 27:32
Speaker 3: on them. And I was doing the exact same thing
• 27:34
Speaker 3: because all of them were like different shapes and sizes,
• 27:37
Speaker 3: had different lids, and it was just a mess. So
• 27:40
Speaker 3: at the beginning of the year, they were all a
• 27:42
Speaker 3: little bit worse for where I'd had them, probably like
• 27:43
Speaker 3: since I'd moved in many years ago. And I just
• 27:47
Speaker 3: repurchased all glass ones that were the same size that
• 27:50
Speaker 3: are easier to stack, and again that way, they're just
• 27:53
Speaker 3: easier to mix a match because they're all the same size.
• 27:56
Speaker 3: And then also glassware as well is another one that
• 27:58
Speaker 3: I did because I live in an apartment and the
• 28:01
Speaker 3: space is not the best. I just was like, I
• 28:05
Speaker 3: need a repurchase glass where that I can stack together.
• 28:08
Speaker 3: That makes more sense for the space and the storage situation.
• 28:12
Speaker 1: Okay, moving on the two out of three rule to
• 28:16
Speaker 1: always look put together. And it's a super quick one
• 28:19
Speaker 1: and it's basically to always have two out of three
• 28:22
Speaker 1: of your hair, makeup, and outfit done. So if you're
• 28:25
Speaker 1: in a rush or you can't be bothered, but you
• 28:28
Speaker 1: want to look like you've got your life together. Basically
• 28:31
Speaker 1: you've had like two hours sleep and you're like, fuck
• 28:33
Speaker 1: my life, Yeah, you're hungover a shit. As long as
• 28:36
Speaker 1: you have two out of three of your makeup, hair,
• 28:39
Speaker 1: and outfit done, you sorted. Yeah, you can cut a
• 28:42
Speaker 1: corner with that one.
• 28:44
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 28:44
Speaker 1: I love that, And I was thinking about it and
• 28:46
Speaker 1: I was like, that's true. Like whenever I am like
• 28:48
Speaker 1: too tired and not bothered, what have I done? And
• 28:51
Speaker 1: it's always like I'll probably do my hair and put
• 28:54
Speaker 1: on an outfit and then I'm like, oh, can't we
• 28:55
Speaker 1: want to do makeup today? Yeah?
• 28:57
Speaker 4: So true, pick your poisons.
• 28:59
Speaker 3: I feel like makeup and maybe makeup and outfit and
• 29:02
Speaker 3: then I throw the hair back back the hair Yeah.
• 29:05
  Speaker 4: Like today, Okay.
• 29:08
Speaker 3: This one is to help you structure your day so
• 29:10
Speaker 3: that you hit your step goal. Because this year I
• 29:14
Speaker 3: set myself a step goal because I was finding that
• 29:18
Speaker 3: when I was looking back on how many steps I
• 29:20
Speaker 3: was hitting I was like, I'm just like not moving
• 29:22
  Speaker 3: my body enough.
• 29:24
Speaker 1: It's hard when you have an office job.
• 29:25
Speaker 3: It's really hard. But it also is possible, and I
• 29:28
Speaker 3: knew that it was possible, but I think that I
• 29:31
Speaker 3: just wasn't optimizing my day to hit it. And you know,
• 29:35
Speaker 3: I would get to the end of the day and
• 29:37
Speaker 3: be like, oh cool, now I've got like this many
• 29:39
Speaker 3: steps that I need to hit and it's eight thirty
• 29:41
Speaker 3: at night. Like, I just wasn't really forward planning. So,
• 29:45
Speaker 3: for example, let's say that your step goal is ten
• 29:48
Speaker 3: thousand steps a day, which I think is pretty commented. Yeah,
• 29:52
Speaker 3: so it takes around an hour and forty minutes of
• 29:56
Speaker 3: walking to get ten thousand steps. This obviously has some
• 30:00
Speaker 3: variation depending on how fast you're walking, how long your
• 30:04
  Speaker 3: legs are.
• 30:05
  Speaker 2: Et cetera.
• 30:06
Speaker 3: So let's just take this with a grain of salt.
• 30:08
Speaker 3: But if you want to get ten thousand steps a
• 30:10
Speaker 3: day and you need to get that in an hour
• 30:13
Speaker 3: and forty minutes, you could structure your day in the morning,
• 30:16
Speaker 3: do thirty minutes when you wake up, or build it
• 30:20
Speaker 3: into your commute, or go to a cafe that requires
• 30:24
Speaker 3: you to walk a little bit further. But do that
• 30:26
Speaker 3: by thirty in thirty minutes. Then at lunchtime, do twenty
• 30:31
Speaker 3: minutes of walking. So whether that's going to the supermarket
• 30:36
Speaker 3: to buy your groceries for dinner, walking to the park,
• 30:39
Speaker 3: taking a dog for a walk, if you work from home,
• 30:41
Speaker 3: whatever it is, but twenty minutes at lunchtime, because I
• 30:44
Speaker 3: think most people you know.
• 30:45
Speaker 1: Hope you need to get in total minutes of movement
• 30:49
Speaker 1: at least for your brain. For your brain exactly.
• 30:54
Speaker 3: Then throughout the day, as you're working, get up and
• 30:58
Speaker 3: walk around for around two and a half minutes every
• 31:01
Speaker 3: hour over an eight hour sort of shift.
• 31:05
Speaker 4: That gives you another total of twenty minutes and two
• 31:09
Speaker 4: and a half minutes an hour. Isn't much like that's
• 31:11
Speaker 4: you like getting up and going and making a cup.
• 31:13
Speaker 3: Of tea, or going to the toilet, or walking instead
• 31:16
Speaker 3: of slacking your cowork or walking over to their.
• 31:18
Speaker 4: Desk and asking them a question.
• 31:21
Speaker 3: Then after work, do thirty minutes, so that could be
• 31:24
Speaker 3: your commute home, going to the gym and walking on
• 31:27
Speaker 3: the treadmill, or if you're doing an exercise class, or
• 31:30
Speaker 3: if you have a walking pad, And then that broken
• 31:34
Speaker 3: up gets you to an hour and forty minutes and
• 31:36
Speaker 3: then ten thousand steps.
• 31:38
Speaker 1: Wow. I even think if you had just the thirty
• 31:42
Speaker 1: minutes in the morning and the thirty minutes in the afternoon,
• 31:46
Speaker 1: half the time, you'll make up the rest of it,
• 31:48
Speaker 1: just in like the natural way you potter around when
• 31:51
Speaker 1: you make dinner or you get ready in the morning,
• 31:53
Speaker 1: or when you're doing like your closing shift clean Like.
• 31:56
Speaker 1: I find that when I do like the thirty minutes
• 31:58
Speaker 1: in the morning and the evening, the re like the
• 32:01
Speaker 1: other like two thousand steps kind of make up themselves.
• 32:03
  Speaker 4: Yeah that.
• 32:04
Speaker 1: Yeah, they love that. I still think you should like
• 32:07
Speaker 1: get up and move around during the middle of the
• 32:09
Speaker 1: day as well, because whenever I don't do that, brain farts.
• 32:12
Speaker 1: Whenever I do do that, brain.
• 32:14
Speaker 4: Smooth, Yeah, brain smooth. Okay.
• 32:18
Speaker 3: Another glow up tip from today's sponsor, Loxtan Beauty Treatments
• 32:23
Speaker 3: in exchange for product smash smash.
• 32:26
Speaker 4: This is the ultimate girl math.
• 32:28
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, this is just math. Actually, this isn't girl math,
• 32:35
Speaker 1: girl math, it's math.
• 32:37
Speaker 4: This is math. So from facials to makeup.
• 32:41
Speaker 3: There are so many brands that offer services in exchange
• 32:46
Speaker 3: for product, and one of the best examples of this
• 32:49
Speaker 3: is the sixty dollars Signature facial treatment at select Losotan.
• 32:53
Speaker 4: Stores water Bargain Honestly.
• 32:56
Speaker 3: You'll start off with a fifteen minute consultation where they
• 32:59
Speaker 3: run you through skin type concerns, what you want to
• 33:02
Speaker 3: get out of the facial. This is then followed by
• 33:04
Speaker 3: a thirty minute facial that is customized to you in
• 33:08
Speaker 3: one of their pods.
• 33:09
Speaker 1: In the store. So good. Yeah.
• 33:12
Speaker 3: Not only is sixty dollars for a forty five minute
• 33:14
Speaker 3: facial incredibly sexy and affordable, but then you also get
• 33:18
Speaker 3: to redeem products back that you use on the day,
• 33:22
Speaker 3: like the Immortal Reset serum and the Divine Cream Like
• 33:25
Speaker 3: what a smash. And it's also super easy to book online.
• 33:29
Speaker 3: So we've chucked a link in the show notes so
• 33:31
Speaker 3: that you can find a select Lox of Tan store
• 33:33
Speaker 3: near you and book it in Treat yourself.
• 33:36
  Speaker 4: It's free.
• 33:37
  Speaker 1: It's free. I feel that's a perfect way to spend
• 33:39
Speaker 1: a Sunday. Yeah, like, go for little Walkees, go get facial,
• 33:44
Speaker 1: get your weekly groceries.
• 33:46
Speaker 3: And then you get to take the products home with
• 33:48
Speaker 3: you that you love during the service.
• 33:51
Speaker 1: Love love it. Need to do that more, need to
• 33:54
Speaker 1: do that more? Yeah, honestly, Okay, I love this one
• 33:58
Speaker 1: and it is the baby dragon aesthetic. I have coined
• 34:03
Speaker 1: this term. I don't know if anyone said it before,
• 34:06
Speaker 1: but I'm owning it. And I have basically called sal
• 34:10
Speaker 1: a baby dragon our whole friendship because she has like
• 34:14
Speaker 1: a jewelry treasure chest of like trinkets and jewelry and
• 34:18
Speaker 1: she just loves gold jewelry and sealver jewelry. You're just
• 34:21
Speaker 1: a jewelry gally. Yeah, And it makes her baby dragon
• 34:24
Speaker 1: because when she's a baby and two dragons love to
• 34:27
Speaker 1: hold treasure treasure. And so I think if you ever
• 34:32
Speaker 1: want to like lift a look and glow up a look,
• 34:36
Speaker 1: just wear a shit ton of jewelry. I have never
• 34:38
Speaker 1: seen anyone wearing cool jewelry and like stacked jewelry that
• 34:44
Speaker 1: looked bad. Yeah, I agreeva in my life, and I
• 34:47
Speaker 1: wanted to share some cool jewelry brands to find more
• 34:52
Speaker 1: unique pieces because I think that's the struggle of people
• 34:54
Speaker 1: like I want that, but I don't know where to
• 34:56
Speaker 1: get it from. So obviously Bixby and Co. They're fabula
• 34:59
Speaker 1: of cel. We love them. Mountain and Moon, they have
• 35:03
Speaker 1: some of the coolest fucking jewelry I have ever seen
• 35:07
Speaker 1: in my life. Like it's just so unique. It's witchy.
• 35:11
Speaker 1: It's witchy again and I love that also really savage.
• 35:15
  Speaker 1: That's a little bit of a lot, a bit of
• 35:18
Speaker 1: a high price point. But if you're looking for like
• 35:21
Speaker 1: the ring that you want for a milestone or maybe
• 35:24
Speaker 1: your thirtieth, your fiftieth, something like that you're twenty first,
• 35:27
Speaker 1: that's a really good place to find like your one
• 35:30
Speaker 1: off statement pieces that you're gonna wear like.
• 35:33
  Speaker 2: Every every day.
• 35:34
Speaker 1: But there's also this page on TikTok and I think
• 35:38
Speaker 1: her name is Big Girl Treasure Chest, and she shared
• 35:43
Speaker 1: that she gets all of her cool gold filled diamond
• 35:48
Speaker 1: encrusted gemstone jewelry from cash converters you can buy online
• 35:54
Speaker 1: and eBay and all of these cool places, and she
• 35:57
Speaker 1: basically does the shopping like for you. And there's all
• 36:00
Speaker 1: these really cool vintage gold rings that you can literally
• 36:05
Speaker 1: just buy online rather than having to go in store
• 36:08
Speaker 1: and like hunt them down and never be able to
• 36:09
Speaker 1: find your size. Yeah, get a bit more of a
• 36:12
Speaker 1: curated experience. Love Baby Dragon Aesthetic.
• 36:16
Speaker 4: It's coming in Yeah, hot, It's coming in hot.
• 36:19
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 36:20
  Speaker 4: Okay.
• 36:20
Speaker 3: Another fashion one and this is a tip to revive
• 36:25
  Speaker 3: your leather pieces.
• 36:26
Speaker 4: Oh yes, yeah, So if you.
• 36:29
Speaker 3: Have real leather, whether that is a handbag, jacket, wallet, whatever,
• 36:35
Speaker 3: leather contains natural oils in it that help it be
• 36:40
Speaker 3: like soft and buttery and beautiful. But just like you skin,
• 36:44
Speaker 3: it dries out and it needs to be moisturized. So
• 36:48
Speaker 3: you can actually get leather conditioner that you massage into
• 36:52
Speaker 3: your leather pieces that will help rehydrate it and that
• 36:56
Speaker 3: stops it from getting really stiff and brittle and cracking.
• 37:00
Speaker 3: And leather pieces are an investment and there are things
• 37:02
Speaker 3: that can last you forever, but they do require a
• 37:06
Speaker 3: little bit of care.
• 37:08
Speaker 4: And the leather condition is like six bucks or something like.
• 37:10
Speaker 3: It's not expensive and it doesn't take long, but it
• 37:13
Speaker 3: can really help extend the life of your leather pieces
• 37:16
Speaker 3: and also make them look like a little bit more
• 37:19
Speaker 3: shiny and nourished and beautiful and lux And then also
• 37:23
Speaker 3: I shared a TikTok on this a while back, but
• 37:26
Speaker 3: you can get leather.
• 37:27
Speaker 1: Cleaner spray as well. Amazing, yeah, really really good, because
• 37:31
Speaker 1: I had so many leather jackets that were just like
• 37:34
Speaker 1: coated in makeup around the collar. When you also buy them,
• 37:37
Speaker 1: sometimes like when you get a vintage leather jacket, they
• 37:40
Speaker 1: can come a little bit crusty or a little bit dirty.
• 37:42
Speaker 1: So it's good to know that what you're about to
• 37:45
Speaker 1: say is also an option when you're shopping. Yeah, exactly,
• 37:48
Speaker 1: because you shouldn't be using water to clean your leather jackets.
• 37:52
Speaker 1: I never knew that.
• 37:53
Speaker 3: Yeah, because it strips away the natural oils that are
• 37:57
Speaker 3: in the leather. The oil can and yeah, that's dries
• 38:00
Speaker 3: it out and can be damaging on the leather piece.
• 38:03
Speaker 3: Whereas if you get this particular leather spray or soap,
• 38:08
Speaker 3: it has like conditioning soap in it that helps clean
• 38:12
Speaker 3: it but also doesn't dry it out.
• 38:14
Speaker 1: So yeah, I need to do that. Okay, this tip
• 38:17
Speaker 1: is personally just for you. Ooh, and it's to level
• 38:20
Speaker 1: up your sleep. Ooh, that had a very bad sleep
• 38:23
Speaker 1: score last night. Yeah it wasn't good. Yeah, you're like,
• 38:27
Speaker 1: on a scale of one to ten, what would you
• 38:30
Speaker 1: give yourself at being a good sleeper, like one being insomniac?
• 38:36
Speaker 4: Maybe like a six or seven.
• 38:38
Speaker 1: That's higher than I thought you would.
• 38:39
Speaker 3: Yeah, well, because I feel like I get around sixty
• 38:42
Speaker 3: to seventy in my sleep score like consistently, but I
• 38:47
Speaker 3: just like struggle to sleep on the semi mooment bed. Yeah,
• 38:49
Speaker 3: but potentially maybe the reason we feel like shit and
• 38:54
Speaker 3: look like shit is because we're not getting enough sleep. Yeah,
• 38:57
Speaker 3: And I can tell, like I can tell when I
• 39:00
Speaker 3: out of like, oh yeah, like who's that.
• 39:02
Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, that sleep did not hit And as
• 39:06
Speaker 1: we get older, you know, when we were little and
• 39:08
Speaker 1: like someone did it for us, they did the bedtime
• 39:11
Speaker 1: routine for us. They're like, it's time to go to bed,
• 39:13
Speaker 1: brush your teeth, read your book, blah blah blah. And
• 39:16
Speaker 1: as we get older, we like just adult babies, and
• 39:19
Speaker 1: no one does it for us anymore. I'm speaking for myself.
• 39:23
Speaker 1: I'm not calling anyone may but I've put together like
• 39:27
Speaker 1: a little bit of a routine now that I genuinely
• 39:31
Speaker 1: have seen the difference in my sleep tracking, and I
• 39:34
Speaker 1: wanted to share them. One of them I already told
• 39:37
Speaker 1: you about, and it was to stop consuming caffeine within
• 39:40
Speaker 1: six hours of going to sleep because I love a
• 39:42
Speaker 1: cokezio with Denise. Yeah, yes, my tweet, I love it.
• 39:47
Speaker 1: But Rob was like, you know those caffeine and that
• 39:50
Speaker 1: I was like a cokeire right, and he was like,
• 39:53
Speaker 1: no sugar, there's no sugar. But there's actually coke zero,
• 39:56
Speaker 1: no sugar, no caffeine. And I did a test to
• 40:00
Speaker 1: when I had the no caffeine before bed if it
• 40:04
Speaker 1: made a difference, and the time frame that I fell
• 40:07
Speaker 1: asleep in was so much shorter, and my latency and
• 40:12
Speaker 1: then also my rem sleep and deep sleep were higher
• 40:15
Speaker 1: compared to when I would have a caffeine drink within
• 40:18
Speaker 1: six hours of going to bed. And then another one
• 40:21
Speaker 1: that I've recently incorporated, which you're gonna laugh at me,
• 40:25
Speaker 1: is mouth tape. Oh yeah, so Rob like got mouth
• 40:29
Speaker 1: tape and I was like, you loser, and I'm converted.
• 40:34
Speaker 1: At first, I felt really chastrophobic. I was like like,
• 40:38
Speaker 1: and I also hated that I couldn't talk anymore. This
• 40:43
Speaker 1: is it. This is the end. Like if I want
• 40:45
Speaker 1: to like have a little chat at like two am,
• 40:48
Speaker 1: how do I I'm but it did make such a
• 40:52
Speaker 1: difference and I did again see an elevation in my
• 40:55
Speaker 1: sleep score. And secondly, this is my ride or Fucking
• 41:00
Speaker 1: Die sleep product, And it's an Bluetooth sleep Ie mask,
• 41:05
Speaker 1: and so it's an eye mask that has Bluetooth speakers
• 41:09
Speaker 1: within the mask that you can put on like a
• 41:12
Speaker 1: sleep story Harry styles of BSI or snooze with Sam
• 41:17
Speaker 1: who has like that deep Scottish Irish and a little
• 41:20
Speaker 1: blove him. Yeah, obsessed and that whenever I wear that,
• 41:25
  Speaker 1: I don't remember falling asleep. And that's how I know
• 41:28
Speaker 1: it's good because I'm like such a chronic overthinker. I mean, like,
• 41:31
Speaker 1: what about this and I start writing like scripts in
• 41:33
Speaker 1: my head. Yeah, that that one is amazing. And obviously
• 41:38
Speaker 1: reading there was a study that showed that six minutes
• 41:41
Speaker 1: of reading reduces your stress by sixty eight percent. Wow,
• 41:45
Speaker 1: more than walking, more than like meditating, drinking cup of tea,
• 41:50
Speaker 1: and stress is obviously the biggest like blocker to sleep
• 41:54
Speaker 1: and quality sleep. So simply reading like that's two pages.
• 41:59
Speaker 1: Ways to up your sleep is stop consuming caffeine within
• 42:03
Speaker 1: six hours, mouth tape, a bluetooth sleep mask, and reading
• 42:08
Speaker 1: for six minutes before bed will absolutely change your life.
• 42:12
  Speaker 1: Your welcome.
• 42:12
Speaker 3: I actually had one that is a quick one that's
• 42:16
Speaker 3: kind of similar to that, and it's using nose tape
• 42:18
  Speaker 3: falling asleep.
• 42:19
Speaker 4: Have you done that?
• 42:20
  Speaker 1: Yes?
• 42:20
  Speaker 2: I have.
• 42:21
Speaker 3: So if you struggle with snoring or your partner struggles
• 42:24
Speaker 3: with snoring, you feel like you aren't breathing prompatly while
• 42:27
Speaker 3: you're sleep sleeping, use nose tape.
• 42:29
Speaker 4: But that was just a quick one.
• 42:30
Speaker 3: And then I have a money saving hack for my
• 42:34
Speaker 3: next one blowing up your finances, and it's to switch
• 42:39
Speaker 3: and save money. So the average Aussie household could save
• 42:43
Speaker 3: six hundred and fifty dollars by switching their utility plan.
• 42:48
Speaker 3: So you could say four hundred and nineteen dollars annually
• 42:51
Speaker 3: on electricity and two hundred and twenty seven dollars on
• 42:54
Speaker 3: gas by switching from the average to the cheapest plans,
• 42:58
  Speaker 3: according to.
• 42:59
Speaker 4: New research by Wow.
• 43:01
Speaker 3: So that's a total saving of nearly six hundred and
• 43:03
Speaker 3: fifty dollars a year. And then a recent a Triple
• 43:07
Speaker 3: C report also found that households who hadn't switched their
• 43:10
Speaker 3: electricity plans in more than a year were coughing up
• 43:13
Speaker 3: two hundred and thirty eight dollars more annually than customers
• 43:17
  Speaker 3: on newer offers.
• 43:18
Speaker 1: Okay, I'm going to do that today. Yeah, I'm going
• 43:20
Speaker 1: to go home because I actually just got my bill
• 43:23
Speaker 1: and it was not sexy.
• 43:24
Speaker 4: It didn't it was not a blow up.
• 43:26
Speaker 1: No, that bill was not a glow up. Okay, how
• 43:29
Speaker 1: to glow up your photos? And I think I get
• 43:33
Speaker 1: this question once a week, and it's how to get
• 43:35
Speaker 1: a film affect photo on your photos? And I just
• 43:41
Speaker 1: use this one app to literally look like all of
• 43:44
Speaker 1: my photos were taken on a digital camera or a
• 43:46
Speaker 1: film camera and they were not. I'm a fool. And
• 43:50
Speaker 1: this app is called daz Cam. It has been my
• 43:54
Speaker 1: ride or die for years, and it has all of
• 43:58
Speaker 1: these cameras loaded into the app with the presets of
• 44:02
Speaker 1: what the film would look like or the digital camera
• 44:04
Speaker 1: photo would look like. And it saves you so much money.
• 44:07
Speaker 1: So the one time purchase I believe is nineteen dollars
• 44:10
Speaker 1: and ninety nine cents, so twenty bucks or I think
• 44:12
Speaker 1: it's seven dollars a month and honestly worth every single
• 44:18
Speaker 1: cent in my mind. Like I take all my photos,
• 44:20
Speaker 1: you can take it in app, or you can upload
• 44:24
Speaker 1: photos into it so that you have both versions and
• 44:27
Speaker 1: you can play around. It also has film footage settings.
• 44:31
Speaker 1: It is easily my favorite thing in the world because
• 44:33
Speaker 1: you save so much money rather than buying like actual
• 44:36
Speaker 1: codec cameras, which I still love that because it's very romanticized. Yeah,
• 44:41
Speaker 1: but that is the app that I use to get
• 44:43
Speaker 1: all my film effects on photos and I love it
• 44:46
Speaker 1: and I've put so many people onto it. Yeah, Dad's
• 44:48
  Speaker 1: camdazz Love.
• 44:50
Speaker 4: We'll put a link in the show notes, yes, so
• 44:52
  Speaker 4: that you.
• 44:52
Speaker 3: Can down load another beauty one And it's a hair tip.
• 44:59
Speaker 3: Over eighty percent of people are mistreating their hair by
• 45:02
Speaker 3: using the wrong heat settings. I found this out because
• 45:06
Speaker 3: we recently did a collab with Cloud nine and this
• 45:10
Speaker 3: isn't sponsored, but I just learned it through the collab
• 45:13
Speaker 3: and I started using the two in one Contouring Pro
• 45:17
Speaker 3: Hair Straightness so good. And it's so good because it
• 45:20
Speaker 3: has eleven different heat settings that you can use, and
• 45:23
Speaker 3: on their website they have a quiz that you can
• 45:25
Speaker 3: put in your hair information and goals and it tells
• 45:29
Speaker 3: you which temperature that you should be using. And so
• 45:32
Speaker 3: that's why I started using one hundred and fifty. Yeah,
• 45:34
Speaker 3: because my hair is bleached, it's always going to have,
• 45:36
Speaker 3: you know, sort of like.
• 45:36
Speaker 4: Split ends and flyways. But I just found that it
• 45:39
Speaker 4: was looking a little less fuzzy when I've.
• 45:41
Speaker 1: Held it down fuzzy Okay. And our final one, my
• 45:48
Speaker 1: substeck that I teased to you before, Yes, and this
• 45:52
Speaker 1: is the globe tip that if you take one away
• 45:54
Speaker 1: from this episode. This is the one that we want
• 45:56
Speaker 1: you to carry in your heart and soul at the
• 45:58
Speaker 1: forefront of your mud forever. And it's the magic comes
• 46:04
Speaker 1: from you mentality. So there's this incredible subs stack written
• 46:07
Speaker 1: by Juliana and it's titled what if You're the Magic?
• 46:12
Speaker 1: And it's very aligned with kind of what you were
• 46:15
Speaker 1: talking about with you know, being whimsy and having fun
• 46:19
Speaker 1: with that. But she says that it's a potent drug
• 46:24
Speaker 1: to believe in yourself. It's like greeting a soldier home
• 46:27
Speaker 1: from war after years of trying to fight myself away.
• 46:30
Speaker 1: I've told countless friends about my new superpower, being myself.
• 46:35
Speaker 1: I don't have degrees from prestigious universities or every experience
• 46:39
Speaker 1: under my belt, but I have a unique perspective and
• 46:41
Speaker 1: I know that it's worth sharing. I have innate excitement
• 46:45
Speaker 1: about the world around me. That is a key part
• 46:47
  Speaker 1: of who I am. I'm a happy person, I'm a
• 46:50
Speaker 1: lucky person, and I can create something out of nothing
• 46:53
Speaker 1: with only my mind. I love that same how beautiful
• 46:57

• 47:30
Speaker 1: the day, all of those trends, all of those notions
• 47:33
Speaker 1: of how we communicate what that feeling is, because it's
